[0:00] Speaker 1: You're listening to Bigfleft Society, and I'm Jeremiah Byron. In
[0:03] Speaker 1: this show, we go beyond the campfire stories to bring
[0:05] Speaker 1: you first hand encounters from people who say they've seen
[0:08] Speaker 1: something impossible, from backwoods trails in remote mountain haulers to
[0:12] Speaker 1: quiet farms and crowded highways. The stories come from everywhere,
[0:16] Speaker 1: and each one leaves us with more questions than answers.
[0:20] Speaker 1: These are the voices of the people who've lived it.
[0:24] Speaker 1: To settle in, because today you'll hear another account that
[0:27] Speaker 1: just might change the way you see the woods forever.
[0:30] Speaker 1: So stay with us. I Big for Society. You've got
[0:32] Speaker 1: the privilege of talking to Mike today.
[0:34] Speaker 2: Mike is an.
[0:35] Speaker 1: Individual that reached out to me after a recent episode
[0:38] Speaker 1: about some things that he's been experiencing out there in
[0:41] Speaker 1: Somerset County, Pennsylvania. Which that area has actually come up
[0:46] Speaker 1: a few times on the show. I want to say
[0:49] Speaker 1: one of the more recent episodes might be ten twenty six,
[0:54] Speaker 1: and then perhaps seven forty nine. There might be some honess.
[0:58] Speaker 1: You can look at the map on Bigfootsie podcast dot com.
[1:01] Speaker 1: You can just look up Somerset County to get more
[1:04] Speaker 1: info about that. But Mike, you know, is there anything
[1:07] Speaker 1: else the listeners would need to know about you before
[1:10] Speaker 1: we get right into it.
[1:13] Speaker 2: I'm not really Uh, I'm just an average guy. All right.
[1:16] Speaker 1: Fantastic and thank you again so much for taking some
[1:19] Speaker 1: time out of your day. But Mike, uh, let's get
[1:22] Speaker 1: right into it. Feel free to take us back to
[1:25] Speaker 1: you know, when you first started noticing that some things
[1:28] Speaker 1: were maybe out of the ordinary that you were experiencing.
[1:33] Speaker 3: Well, it's kind of crazy because you know, like the
[1:35] Speaker 3: whole bigfoot thing is a taboo type subject.
[1:39] Speaker 2: A lot of people don't much talk about it.
[1:40] Speaker 3: But I've always been one that, even from being a
[1:45] Speaker 3: little boy, I always figured, you know, the possibility is
[1:48] Speaker 3: definitely there. You got a whole lot of area throughout
[1:52] Speaker 3: the country that's never had any man set foot in it,
[1:55] Speaker 3: So I figure there's a pretty good chance that there
[1:58] Speaker 3: could be something there.
[2:00] Speaker 2: And so it was growing up.
[2:01] Speaker 3: You know, there were different times and one specific time
[2:04] Speaker 3: I can remember fishing at high Point Lake.
[2:08] Speaker 2: It's like the highest.
[2:09] Speaker 3: Point in Pennsylvania, the Mount Davis area, and we were
[2:15] Speaker 3: up there. I was there with my dad and saw
[2:17] Speaker 3: these tracks going back through the woods. You know, these
[2:20] Speaker 3: big bear feet look the thing, and it was, oh,
[2:24] Speaker 3: it was an early spring, the weather was pretty chilly,
[2:27] Speaker 3: and I was trying to ask my dad, now, why
[2:30] Speaker 3: would somebody be up here in bare feet? You know,
[2:32] Speaker 3: that was my big thing, and he played it off
[2:35] Speaker 3: as just being a bear or whatnot. But I do remember,
[2:39] Speaker 3: like any other time there was a bear situation or whatever,
[2:43] Speaker 3: you know, we still hung around and did what we
[2:45] Speaker 3: were doing, and that time we got out of that
[2:47] Speaker 3: pretty quick. So I'm not sure if he knew a
[2:50] Speaker 3: little more than I did at the time, but I'm
[2:52] Speaker 3: thinking maybe. But anyway, Knife goes on and got into
[2:58] Speaker 3: adulthood and like it's still with something I've always had
[3:01] Speaker 3: an interest in and wondered about, and kind of moved
[3:05] Speaker 3: out of the town area and into a more woody area,
[3:10] Speaker 3: like out of the way. And since we lived out here,
[3:14] Speaker 3: there were several different nights that the sounds that would
[3:19] Speaker 3: come out of the woods would be just totally different,
[3:22] Speaker 3: like stuff that just I don't know, you know, you
[3:26] Speaker 3: hear the bobcats Outaine, whatever the screams and the way
[3:31] Speaker 3: they are, and you know what they are. But some
[3:35] Speaker 3: of these calls were just absolutely ridiculous. And I can
[3:39] Speaker 3: remember talking to my girlfriend and she was listening to
[3:43] Speaker 3: and like she actually heard knocks the first morning, the
[3:46] Speaker 3: one morning we were here and she had heard knocks.
[3:51] Speaker 3: Probably it's hard to describe, but like the where I live,
[3:56] Speaker 3: there's basically woods on all four sides and it leads
[4:03] Speaker 3: into like a more mountainous area. From here, it goes
[4:07] Speaker 3: over and like up the mountain, and you can hear
[4:10] Speaker 3: things for a long distance there. And I remember the
[4:14] Speaker 3: one morning she woke me up after hearing the first
[4:16] Speaker 3: set of off and then there was another one of
[4:19] Speaker 3: these weird calls and it went a few minutes, and
[4:23] Speaker 3: then there was this call from way and it's going
[4:26] Speaker 3: back and forth and it was like really strange to
[4:29] Speaker 3: listen to and not really having a clue what it
[4:31] Speaker 3: was at the same time.
[4:33] Speaker 2: And that's when I first.
[4:36] Speaker 3: Started thinking, wait a minute, you know, because we'd listened
[4:38] Speaker 3: to these different podcasts and stuff that we're talking about
[4:41] Speaker 3: big foot and different things, and started like putting two
[4:44] Speaker 3: and two together as to what those people were talking
[4:46] Speaker 3: about and what we were hearing, and these kind of
[4:51] Speaker 3: situations went on. It was like two different times of
[4:56] Speaker 3: the year, like a late spring, early summer, and we're
[5:01] Speaker 3: talking like a two to three week period that they
[5:04] Speaker 3: just kept happening over and over and over, and then
[5:07] Speaker 3: like in the early to midfall, it would start again.
[5:12] Speaker 2: And I often wondered if we weren't on some kind.
[5:15] Speaker 3: Of migration path or something where they went back and
[5:19] Speaker 3: forth and used this area as a way of traveling.
[5:25] Speaker 3: And it was I can't remember exactly how far back
[5:29] Speaker 3: it was, but when those big fires were up in
[5:32] Speaker 3: Canada that I know, everyone around like the smoke was
[5:39] Speaker 3: coming in, you know, we were all clouded over from
[5:42] Speaker 3: the smoke. But like those are major fires that like
[5:45] Speaker 3: disrupted a whole lot of land. Well, right after that
[5:49] Speaker 3: period of time, there was massive amounts of these calls
[5:55] Speaker 3: the wooden knocks in different situations, And this time there
[5:59] Speaker 3: was one in particular night we were laying in bed
[6:02] Speaker 3: and I'd never ever noticed, like a lot of people
[6:07] Speaker 3: talk about this for really ransom smell and whatnot. I'd
[6:11] Speaker 3: never noticed that before, and we were laying there and
[6:16] Speaker 3: out of nowhere, like this smell took over the house.
[6:19] Speaker 3: We had the windows up, of course, and this smell
[6:22] Speaker 3: took over the house like.
[6:24] Speaker 2: It was so like hard to explain.
[6:28] Speaker 3: It was like a really bad skunk smell in a sense,
[6:32] Speaker 3: but like a chemical mix with it.
[6:34] Speaker 2: It just like really took your breath away.
[6:37] Speaker 3: And we actually left the room and tried to close
[6:40] Speaker 3: that room up, and I mean it hung in the
[6:42] Speaker 3: house for a while, and I got the flassight and
[6:44] Speaker 3: I'm looking around outside trying to figure out what the
[6:47] Speaker 3: heck's going on, and of course didn't see anything. But
[6:50] Speaker 3: the next morning when I got up, actually I shouldn't
[6:54] Speaker 3: say morning, because I had worked that morning. It was
[6:56] Speaker 3: when I got home from work that afternoon. I went
[6:59] Speaker 3: out to where our bedroom window was outside and I
[7:03] Speaker 3: looked and we had like a little flower bed there
[7:05] Speaker 3: that had mults of stuff in it, and you could
[7:07] Speaker 3: see there was something heavy standing right there, like there
[7:10] Speaker 3: were big indentations and mess and the malts.
[7:14] Speaker 2: And I took the lance.
[7:15] Speaker 3: From there up through our yard and you could see
[7:18] Speaker 3: going up through the yard it looked like these tracks
[7:22] Speaker 3: that went up like the grass was and dented really
[7:26] Speaker 3: far going up through the yard up into the wood area.
[7:30] Speaker 3: And I go walking up and I tried. It took
[7:31] Speaker 3: like two full steps of mine to match one of
[7:33] Speaker 3: these steps. And I also noticed like when I stepped,
[7:37] Speaker 3: so I turned around and went back the grass where
[7:40] Speaker 3: I had stepped was already starting to stand up, but
[7:43] Speaker 3: these tracks from the night before were already there or
[7:46] Speaker 3: were still laying completely flat, like that had been smashed
[7:50] Speaker 3: down that hard that.
[7:51] Speaker 2: It still wasn't recovering.
[7:54] Speaker 3: And that night there that one that is one that
[7:57] Speaker 3: freaked me out.
[7:57] Speaker 2: That was the first time like that it really bothered me.
[8:01] Speaker 3: I don't know, I guess we joked about it or
[8:04] Speaker 3: talked about it so much and just you know, think
[8:06] Speaker 3: and hopeful whatever all these times. But that night there,
[8:10] Speaker 3: like it was a weird thing. It like I ever
[8:12] Speaker 3: took the senses a little bit with that smell and everything,
[8:17] Speaker 3: and it caused like almost like an anxiety type saying.
[8:21] Speaker 2: It was like really really strange the way that took over.
[8:24] Speaker 2: It was. It was a very very odd situation that night.
[8:30] Speaker 3: But at that same time, these these hero instances all
[8:34] Speaker 3: happened that same short period of time, right after those
[8:38] Speaker 3: Canada wildfires. There was another night that there's an area
[8:44] Speaker 3: right behind our house that a quick runs down through
[8:47] Speaker 3: and there's a real steep bank off from the yard
[8:50] Speaker 3: down to the creek probably you know, like ten to
[8:53] Speaker 3: fifteen foot drop, and I'm one that's like always outdoors,
[8:59] Speaker 3: I'm always messing, you know, doing something, and generally if
[9:02] Speaker 3: I see something, I have to go figure out what
[9:04] Speaker 3: it is that I just saw.
[9:05] Speaker 2: Right.
[9:06] Speaker 3: Well, that night, I was cleaning up and I glanced
[9:09] Speaker 3: over in that area and something caught my eye. It
[9:11] Speaker 3: was like some movement and for whatever reason, like this
[9:15] Speaker 3: would never normally happen, but that night I didn't.
[9:18] Speaker 2: Go over to see what it was.
[9:19] Speaker 3: It was like this nervousness or something like I just
[9:21] Speaker 3: felt like I shouldn't go, and so I avoided it. Well,
[9:25] Speaker 3: the next morning, this was the only actual sighting there was,
[9:29] Speaker 3: and unfortunately I didn't have the sight, and my girlfriend did.
[9:33] Speaker 3: She had gone out to feed the animals, and when
[9:36] Speaker 3: she came out, she was over in this area and
[9:39] Speaker 3: right down through the crook bird bed, something went across there.
[9:42] Speaker 3: She said, I mean, I remember her calling and she's like,
[9:45] Speaker 3: I swear I think I just saw Bigfoot and she's
[9:47] Speaker 3: like I'll cal him and I'm like laughing, thinking yeah right,
[9:50] Speaker 3: and she's like no, seriously, and she explained it to
[9:53] Speaker 3: me how this creature just went through the crook bed.
[9:58] Speaker 3: It was like so smooth, like move so quick and
[10:01] Speaker 3: so smooth going through and then back up the other
[10:03] Speaker 3: side of the hill. And of course in this area
[10:05] Speaker 3: there's also like really high grass, so it's hard to see,
[10:09] Speaker 3: you know, a consistent thing. But yeah, that morning she
[10:14] Speaker 3: was a lucky one and got to see that. But
[10:16] Speaker 3: at the same time, like I said, after those fires,
[10:19] Speaker 3: there were multiple situations where the calls the Knox the
[10:23] Speaker 3: screened why not, we're going on. There was also at
[10:29] Speaker 3: that time the same creekbed area right at the top
[10:33] Speaker 3: side of it. And this is kind of strange, and
[10:37] Speaker 3: I don't even know if it's related, but there's only
[10:39] Speaker 3: certain trees that go around, you know, where the creek is.
[10:43] Speaker 3: Whatever trees they are, they're they're just whatever.
[10:46] Speaker 2: And the one that I.
[10:47] Speaker 3: Noticed there were several long pine branches laying in the yard,
[10:54] Speaker 3: and we don't have any pine trees anywhere, like relatively
[10:57] Speaker 3: close at all, and I thought it was really strange.
[11:00] Speaker 2: And I looked.
[11:02] Speaker 3: About three to five feet off of where those were laying,
[11:07] Speaker 3: and there was a patch of dirt and there was
[11:08] Speaker 3: a large track there. That was another one where we
[11:12] Speaker 3: definitely saw the track. There was that one, and then
[11:18] Speaker 3: the one that was coming up from the road. There
[11:21] Speaker 3: was another situation where you looked in the grass and
[11:23] Speaker 3: saw the matted grass for like a long period of time,
[11:27] Speaker 3: and I went down and there was a clear track and.
[11:29] Speaker 2: The dirt down below that one too.
[11:31] Speaker 3: And I think it was the night that we saw
[11:35] Speaker 3: those or the night after that that we saw those
[11:37] Speaker 3: tracks that we were standing out front and holler from.
[11:43] Speaker 3: I mean, it seemed really really really close, but I
[11:48] Speaker 3: don't know, maybe two football field lanths away up in
[11:52] Speaker 3: the woods. This screen came that like just absolutely like
[11:57] Speaker 3: it shook you. You know, it was like when it
[12:00] Speaker 3: went off, it got your attention and you were like,
[12:03] Speaker 3: what the heck was that?
[12:04] Speaker 2: You know, like it took your breath away on this.
[12:06] Speaker 3: And it was kind of funny because that's the only
[12:08] Speaker 3: time that one of the neighbors actually also acknowledged the
[12:13] Speaker 3: presence at the same time. And we heard them say
[12:16] Speaker 3: to the other one and they're up the road a
[12:19] Speaker 3: little ways, but he said a loud enough and he
[12:21] Speaker 3: was like to his buddy, like, what was that? And
[12:25] Speaker 3: there are like just every year, it seems like at
[12:28] Speaker 3: those certain times where either the calls, the knocks, or
[12:33] Speaker 3: you know, there's something showing up that it really makes
[12:36] Speaker 3: me wonder if this area isn't like just the major
[12:39] Speaker 3: thurway or something for migration. And it's been going on.
[12:45] Speaker 3: We've been out here ten years now, and I'm not
[12:50] Speaker 3: going to say that it didn't actually happen the first
[12:52] Speaker 3: one or two years, but maybe we just weren't quite
[12:55] Speaker 3: so alert to it the first one or two years.
[12:57] Speaker 3: But every year since then we've had some kind of
[13:01] Speaker 3: experience where either the calls, the knocks.
[13:07] Speaker 2: I don't really know how to explain that.
[13:10] Speaker 3: The hollers, That's all I can say is what they
[13:12] Speaker 3: are is they're like hollers because it's like their screams
[13:14] Speaker 3: or whatever. And that night I was saying about the
[13:17] Speaker 3: neighbors hearing it. That night there was I don't know
[13:21] Speaker 3: if I'm sure anybody who's like listened to the Bigfoot
[13:25] Speaker 3: thing and they was it the Nevada calls or something.
[13:29] Speaker 2: Like that that they've had.
[13:35] Speaker 3: They've played over and over and over again, and that
[13:38] Speaker 3: the researchers say that that is definitely like the call
[13:42] Speaker 3: the Bigfoot or whatever. Well, that night that they did that,
[13:45] Speaker 3: that's exactly what that sounded like, was those calls, like
[13:49] Speaker 3: when you play them online and you hear them, are.
[13:51] Speaker 1: You talking about the year sounds where it sounds like
[13:53] Speaker 1: kind of a film.
[13:54] Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, no no, not the language ones, no, no,
[14:00] Speaker 3: those were the campers up on the mountain.
[14:02] Speaker 2: These are the I don't know if it was Nevada
[14:07] Speaker 2: or I I can't remember.
[14:08] Speaker 1: They always one Ohio Yeah, really long drawn out yeah
[14:15] Speaker 1: and loud yeah yeah.
[14:18] Speaker 3: And that's exactly what that sound was. I mean it
[14:21] Speaker 3: like duplicated that to a t.
[14:23] Speaker 2: It was.
[14:24] Speaker 3: It was so crazy, like that was the one night
[14:26] Speaker 3: that there was no doubt again whatsoever, that there was
[14:31] Speaker 3: something close. And I don't know, I just find it
[14:34] Speaker 3: to be very very interesting and would actually love to
[14:37] Speaker 3: know that there's somebody else around here that's like actually
[14:40] Speaker 3: hearing it and knowing what's going on. You know, it's
[14:44] Speaker 3: like nobody ever wants to talk about this kind of stuff,
[14:46] Speaker 3: and oh and you know that it's actually happening, and
[14:50] Speaker 3: it's like, I don't know, it's crazy, but it's pretty
[14:54] Speaker 3: much been like the past ten years out here.
[14:57] Speaker 2: That we've really really really.
[14:59] Speaker 3: Like thought and a lot of a lot of different
[15:04] Speaker 3: situations where it's left us with no doubt whatsoever.
[15:09] Speaker 1: Wow, Mike, that you are really living through some incredible
[15:12] Speaker 1: stuff and so to hear. We figured out it sounds
[15:16] Speaker 1: like it's the Ohio howl that.
[15:18] Speaker 2: You're you've been.
[15:20] Speaker 1: Hearing at night, and so listeners can check that out
[15:24] Speaker 1: by looking it up on YouTube. You can find it there.
[15:28] Speaker 1: But that that is wild and you're saying that this
[15:31] Speaker 1: happens in the Somerset County, Pennsylvania area, that's correct.
[15:36] Speaker 2: Yeah, just a little bit south of Berlin, Pennsylvania.
[15:42] Speaker 1: I had a few questions for you. You've mentioned the
[15:45] Speaker 1: fires a few times. Are you talking about the forest
[15:48] Speaker 1: fires from twenty twenty five or.
[15:52] Speaker 3: Was it twenty five or I thought it seemed a
[15:55] Speaker 3: bit earlier than that, the ones that were in Canada
[15:58] Speaker 3: that just absolutely were devastating. They lasted for several weeks,
[16:06] Speaker 3: it was. It seems to me like it was either
[16:09] Speaker 3: twenty three or twenty four.
[16:10] Speaker 2: But I don't know.
[16:11] Speaker 3: I'm I'm you know, I'm getting old. I can't remember dates.
[16:18] Speaker 2: No, I get it.
[16:19] Speaker 1: I'm right there with yeah.
[16:21] Speaker 2: Yeah, and I'm offul I remembering dates. Yep, yep.
[16:25] Speaker 1: You've mentioned that you've you've seen tracks around your house
[16:28] Speaker 1: multiple times. How long would you estimate that those tracks were.
[16:36] Speaker 3: They're not massive, like you know, when you expect to
[16:40] Speaker 3: expect like a big FOOTU you of thinking this massive thing.
[16:42] Speaker 2: I mean, I wear a size ten.
[16:46] Speaker 3: They're probably like four or five inches longer than what
[16:50] Speaker 3: I wear. Okay, my son has huge feet. They're probably
[16:54] Speaker 3: close to his size, but I think he's more as
[16:57] Speaker 3: a fourteen or fifteen something like that.
[17:00] Speaker 1: What were the main details you noticed about the track
[17:03] Speaker 1: that made you think, Okay, this isn't just a really
[17:09] Speaker 1: big human walking around my house.
[17:13] Speaker 2: Actually it was more so the uh.
[17:17] Speaker 3: Something else we have here that is like very uncommon
[17:20] Speaker 3: to actually get to see, but well I should get
[17:22] Speaker 3: from it. But every year, at least once there's a
[17:25] Speaker 3: bear that wanders around if I'm through, so I'm often
[17:29] Speaker 3: out here looking for remnants of that. And that's actually
[17:31] Speaker 3: what I thought it was at first, until I realized
[17:34] Speaker 3: how big it was, and.
[17:34] Speaker 2: I was like, that bear's not that big, So gotcha.
[17:39] Speaker 3: That's what I was looking for, was the bear tracks, And.
[17:44] Speaker 1: Then you stumbled upon those absolutely when your girlfriend had
[17:48] Speaker 1: the visual sighting in the creek bed. Do you remember
[17:51] Speaker 1: if she had if she said any particular thing she
[17:56] Speaker 1: noticed about what she saw. I mean, I know you
[17:59] Speaker 1: mentioned that she said it moved very quick and smooth.
[18:01] Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, that's what she just kept going on about,
[18:05] Speaker 3: was because down through the quick but I mean it's
[18:08] Speaker 3: very rocky, and I don't know how other to describe
[18:13] Speaker 3: the ground than lumpy. You know, there's like if you
[18:16] Speaker 3: were trying to walk through there, you'd be bobbing up
[18:18] Speaker 3: and down all over the place. And she said, this
[18:20] Speaker 3: thing this like made a straight line. It was just
[18:22] Speaker 3: like so smooth and so quick, and if you look
[18:27] Speaker 3: at the area, it's just not real easy to imagine
[18:31] Speaker 3: anything moving quick or smooth through there. And I showed her,
[18:37] Speaker 3: Actually there was another I can't remember the name right now,
[18:44] Speaker 3: not that I probably wouldn't say the name if I did,
[18:47] Speaker 3: because it's not mine, but there was a video from
[18:51] Speaker 3: down in West Salisbury, which is like eight miles south
[18:56] Speaker 3: of here, and the person was looking out there and
[19:00] Speaker 3: window and in the video there's one that runs down
[19:03] Speaker 3: through the woods and it's the same thing. You can
[19:07] Speaker 3: tell the area is the same, and it's like this
[19:09] Speaker 3: like rocky bumpy area. But the thing when it's going
[19:11] Speaker 3: down through the woods, it just moves so smooth and
[19:14] Speaker 3: so quick. It's like almost you can't figure out how
[19:20] Speaker 3: it does it. You know, I don't like to get
[19:21] Speaker 3: into the idea of like some people they say or
[19:25] Speaker 3: you know, that it's not a real animal or whatever,
[19:28] Speaker 3: which I don't get into that at all.
[19:30] Speaker 2: I believe it is.
[19:31] Speaker 3: But they also say that they don't actually walk, they glide,
[19:34] Speaker 3: and I don't get into that.
[19:37] Speaker 2: But they do walk really dart and smooth. I'll give
[19:39] Speaker 2: them that. Oh yeah, yeah, I agree.
[19:42] Speaker 1: That is something that has brought up a lot on
[19:45] Speaker 1: interviews on this show, where even had one guy who
[19:50] Speaker 1: said it looked like he was on a Nordic track
[19:52] Speaker 1: if you remember what that is. Yeah, but right, so funny.
[20:00] Speaker 1: So you mentioned that you heard your neighbors that one night,
[20:03] Speaker 1: but have you ever talked directly to any neighbors about
[20:07] Speaker 1: if they've noticed anything weird around their property as well.
[20:12] Speaker 3: I've asked a couple of them, like especially when like overnight,
[20:16] Speaker 3: when the noises or you know, other people had to
[20:19] Speaker 3: hear them, and they'd just be like, ah, that was
[20:23] Speaker 3: a fox or that was just a big cat. And
[20:27] Speaker 3: it's like even when they're saying that, you know that
[20:29] Speaker 3: they're not believing what they're saying, because like when you
[20:32] Speaker 3: live in this area, you hear the foxes, you hear
[20:35] Speaker 3: the big cats. You hear them, you know, by the
[20:37] Speaker 3: time you're ten years old, you know what all this
[20:39] Speaker 3: stuff sounds like. And that's not what these were. They
[20:45] Speaker 3: were definitely something different. And and I'll be honest with you,
[20:50] Speaker 3: I mean, like all my life, until like the past
[20:54] Speaker 3: ten fifteen years, I had never even imagined the idea
[20:59] Speaker 3: that the these creatures were anywhere in this area. I
[21:03] Speaker 3: was one of those that figured, you know, far northwest Kieran,
[21:08] Speaker 3: if it's possible, that's where they are. I never dreamed
[21:12] Speaker 3: they'd be in this area at all. And so it
[21:15] Speaker 3: was like the actual It was the stuff going on
[21:19] Speaker 3: that made me first start to think, wow, can they
[21:23] Speaker 3: actually be in this area, and then as it continued,
[21:27] Speaker 3: the realization that yeah, they are in this area, you know.
[21:31] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, moving through it, Yeah, I would, I would
[21:35] Speaker 1: say so. I mean, there's so many reports just Westyan,
[21:38] Speaker 1: southwest Pennsylvania, and even just north of you. There's a
[21:42] Speaker 1: ton on the map that I have myself for the podcast.
[21:47] Speaker 1: There's a massive I mean there's probably about six or
[21:51] Speaker 1: seven pins I've got north of Berlin, which is pretty crazy, now,
[21:57] Speaker 1: have you Sometimes when people have these speriences, they will
[22:01] Speaker 1: start looking into their area to see if anyone else
[22:05] Speaker 1: has had any experiences close to them.
[22:07] Speaker 2: Have you ever done that?
[22:09] Speaker 3: I've like reached out to There's a couple of different
[22:13] Speaker 3: organizations that are start out big for research something, you know,
[22:18] Speaker 3: for the area, and I've reached out to several of
[22:21] Speaker 3: them just to find out. You know, it's like and
[22:25] Speaker 3: when you're asking questions, they don't seem to want to
[22:27] Speaker 3: give the answers, but they like the information that you
[22:30] Speaker 3: give them, but they don't want to answer any questions.
[22:32] Speaker 3: So I have never really gotten any word from any
[22:38] Speaker 3: office or whatever like that that does the research as
[22:42] Speaker 3: far as sightings and so forth in this area. The
[22:47] Speaker 3: only you know, there's a couple other people who have
[22:49] Speaker 3: been willing to talk about it. And that's how I
[22:52] Speaker 3: found out about that video down It's alls very easy.
[22:56] Speaker 3: It was somebody that was willing to actually talk about it,
[22:59] Speaker 3: absolutely and they.
[23:00] Speaker 2: Said that video and.
[23:03] Speaker 3: Like it's they actually posted it on Facebook at one time,
[23:08] Speaker 3: and all they did was posted and with the caption
[23:10] Speaker 3: of what was that?
[23:12] Speaker 2: And when you watch the video, you know what, there's
[23:17] Speaker 2: no doubt. Hmmm.
[23:19] Speaker 1: I'll have to off to see if I can find
[23:21] Speaker 1: that or I don't know if you if you have
[23:22] Speaker 1: the link to it, maybe you could.
[23:24] Speaker 2: Send it because I can't. I can't think of that. Yeah,
[23:28] Speaker 2: but it's it's a pretty cool one.
[23:32] Speaker 3: It's I mean, it's kind of quick but quite obvious.
[23:37] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[23:38] Speaker 1: Absolutely. And and you bring up an interesting, a good
[23:43] Speaker 1: point that I want to address real quick for listeners,
[23:45] Speaker 1: which is how how we were just talking how Mike
[23:52] Speaker 1: was just talking about how you know, sometimes organizations won't
[23:56] Speaker 1: want to give up information. That's why it's important for
[23:59] Speaker 1: such organizations such as like the Bigfoot Mapping Project to
[24:02] Speaker 1: exist or like you know, uh my podcast or other
[24:08] Speaker 1: Bigfoot podcasts where you can contact them directly and you
[24:14] Speaker 1: don't have to worry about the information that you're sharing
[24:17] Speaker 1: being locked behind some information area. And especially with the
[24:23] Speaker 1: big Foot Mapping Project, if you submit something there, then
[24:27] Speaker 1: you can go over there and you can see in
[24:29] Speaker 1: your area all the stuff that's being reported, which I
[24:32] Speaker 1: think is extremely important for individuals that are trying to
[24:37] Speaker 1: figure out what's going on in their home area, like Mike.
[24:41] Speaker 1: So if you haven't checked that out, Mike, I would
[24:45] Speaker 1: recommend you check out the yea Ye bigfootmap dot com.
[24:52] Speaker 2: I check that out.
[24:55] Speaker 3: I was able to find like a couple of different
[24:56] Speaker 3: ones that had you know, reports society or whatever that
[25:00] Speaker 3: run back. But this area, the ones I saw the
[25:03] Speaker 3: reports were so far back, you know, you're talking nineteen seventies,
[25:08] Speaker 3: nineteen eighties and then nothing more since then.
[25:11] Speaker 2: And I'm like, I know there's got to be more
[25:13] Speaker 2: since then.
[25:14] Speaker 1: But absolutely, And maybe it's a thing where the individuals
[25:19] Speaker 1: that are having things happen just don't know there's a
[25:22] Speaker 1: place to reach out to or they sometimes you might
[25:26] Speaker 1: be even scared to share, you know, things like that.
[25:29] Speaker 3: Yeah, people tend to make fun a little bit. But yeah, hey, yeah,
[25:35] Speaker 3: that's the problem.
[25:36] Speaker 2: I know how that is. Mike.
[25:38] Speaker 1: Would you ever want to have a sighting yourself? But
[25:40] Speaker 1: like your girlfriend was able to.
[25:42] Speaker 3: Have honestly, as long as I was close enough to
[25:48] Speaker 3: either get in my house, get in my car and
[25:49] Speaker 3: get away. Yeah, I would love to deep in the
[25:53] Speaker 3: woods all alone. I'm not so sure about that. Yeah,
[25:57] Speaker 3: I figure one day before I die, I am going
[26:01] Speaker 3: to actually see one. But I'm not sure yet how
[26:06] Speaker 3: I would feel about that. To be honest with you,
[26:10] Speaker 3: I imagine it'd be scary.
[26:11] Speaker 1: Yeah, oh, it would probably very be very potentially scary
[26:16] Speaker 1: and maybe even life changing for sure. But you know, Mike,
[26:20] Speaker 1: thank you so much for taking some time out of
[26:23] Speaker 1: your afternoon sharing what you guys are experiencing over there
[26:26] Speaker 1: in Somerset County. Definitely keep us in the loop with
[26:31] Speaker 1: if anything else you know, happens in the future. Would
[26:34] Speaker 1: love to hear about it. But I want to make
[26:36] Speaker 1: sure that you were able to share everything that you
[26:39] Speaker 1: would come to the show to share today.
[26:42] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, just kind of a history of what's
[26:45] Speaker 2: been going on.
[26:46] Speaker 3: And like I said, would love to find out that
[26:49] Speaker 3: those other people, what's some information because I'd love to
[26:55] Speaker 3: look into it some more.
[26:58] Speaker 1: So I would say if there are individuals that are
[27:02] Speaker 1: experiencing things in the same areas that Mike's been talking about, please,
[27:07] Speaker 1: you know, put it down the comments on YouTube is
[27:09] Speaker 1: a great place to share those. You can also send
[27:12] Speaker 1: me an email at Bigfoot Society at gmail dot com,
[27:15] Speaker 1: but if you put it in the YouTube comments that
[27:16] Speaker 1: Mike can keep an eye on those as well too.
[27:19] Speaker 2: So.
[27:24] Speaker 1: But thank you so much, Mike for coming on the show.
[27:27] Speaker 1: I appreciate it absolutely, Thanks for having me.
[27:31] Speaker 2: I appreciate that.
[27:33] Speaker 1: Have you ever heard all the accounts of bigfoot activity
[27:36] Speaker 1: around Oakridge Oregon, and you think to yourself, Man, I
[27:39] Speaker 1: would love to get out in those woods and experience
[27:42] Speaker 1: it for myself. Well, guess what This year you can.
[27:47] Speaker 1: If this is interesting to you, stay tuned because it's
[27:50] Speaker 1: pretty cool. Sasquatch Summer Fest is coming up July tenth
[27:55] Speaker 1: through the eleventh, twenty twenty six. It's going to be
[27:59] Speaker 1: even better in the previous years. Reason number one, I'll
[28:03] Speaker 1: be one of the speakers. It's gonna be wild. I'll
[28:06] Speaker 1: probably I'll say this. There may be stuff you haven't
[28:11] Speaker 1: heard anywhere else, because let's just say sometimes it's well,
[28:17] Speaker 1: you just got to be there.
[28:19] Speaker 2: We'll leave it that.
[28:20] Speaker 1: More about looking for Bigfoot in the Oakridge Woods. Now
[28:22] Speaker 1: check this out. You may know Jason Kenzie from his
[28:27] Speaker 1: documentary series Searching for Sasquatch. Well, this year you can
[28:32] Speaker 1: not only go to the festival, but you can also
[28:36] Speaker 1: sign up for a track deep in the wild forest
[28:43] Speaker 1: outside of Oakridge with Jason Kenzie to the Bigfoot spots
[28:48] Speaker 1: to look for Bigfoot. There's only eight spots to sign
[28:52] Speaker 1: up for this, and yes, this will also be filmed
[28:56] Speaker 1: for the next chapter in his documentary series, which is
[28:59] Speaker 1: Searching for Asquatch. This is a once in a lifetime deal.
[29:02] Speaker 1: It's just trust it's going to be a wild, wild experience.

[29:37] Speaker 1: to see you at the booth in Oakridge this year.
[29:42] Speaker 1: We can talk about your encounter. Was able to talk
[29:44] Speaker 1: to so many people last year and the year before.
[29:47] Speaker 1: It is an incredible time. You're not going to want
[29:50] Speaker 1: to miss it, and I'll see you there. Before we
[29:55] Speaker 1: wrap this episode, I want to say something directly to
[29:57] Speaker 1: a very specific group of listeners. If you're in the military,
[30:01] Speaker 1: any branch or forces, and if you've seen something that
[30:04] Speaker 1: no one can explain, or if you're a National park
[30:07] Speaker 1: ranger or forestry worker who's been told to stay quiet,
[30:11] Speaker 1: or if you're a pilot who's seen something strange down
[30:14] Speaker 1: on the ground, or if you're with the FBI, a
[30:17] Speaker 1: federal agency or working intelligence and you stumbled upon something
[30:21] Speaker 1: you're not allowed to talk about. And if you're a firefighter, paramedic,
[30:25] Speaker 1: or search and rescue responder who's heard screams or found
[30:28] Speaker 1: tracks that didn't make sense. If you're in the logging
[30:31] Speaker 1: industry on a remote oil field, or a trucker with
[30:35] Speaker 1: government contracts and you've had something happen that you've never
[30:39] Speaker 1: told a soul. And if you're a biologist, a wildlife specialist,
[30:43] Speaker 1: or a field researcher under contract who has found evidence
[30:47] Speaker 1: you're not allowed to report. If you're a pastor, a missionary,
[30:50] Speaker 1: or someone on a spiritual retreat and you saw something
[30:54] Speaker 1: that shook your faith, or if you work in the shadows, CIA,
[30:58] Speaker 1: NSA or anything with clearance and you've seen what the
[31:01] Speaker 1: public hasn't, then I want to talk to you, even
[31:06] Speaker 1: if it's anonymous. You can reach me at Bigfoot Society
[31:11] Speaker 1: at gmail dot com. The world needs to hear what
