A truck driver pulls off a remote highway in the Utah high desert around 3:00 AM, more than 40 miles from the nearest town. While trying to sleep inside his semi, he hears three deliberate knocks against the truck. Then the knocking moves. Over the next hour, it comes from different sides of the cab as he repeatedly turns on his lights and searches the empty desert around him. Eventually, something strikes the semi with enough force to rock the entire truck. Matthew shares what happened when he finally decided to drive away, along with other unexplained experiences from his years crossing America as a long-haul trucker. This episode of Bigfoot Society also features firsthand encounters from witnesses across the United States and beyond, including close sightings, strange vocalizations, unexplained activity in remote forests, and experiences that have stayed with these witnesses for years. ## Transcript

[0:00] Speaker 1: It was so hard, this hit on the side of
[0:03] Speaker 1: the truck, that it rocked the truck left and right,
[0:05] Speaker 1: to the point where my feet lifted off the bed.
[0:07] Speaker 2: A truck driver pulls off into the high desert around
[0:09] Speaker 2: 3 in the morning, at least 40 miles from the
[0:11] Speaker 2: nearest town. He's trying to sleep when three knocks come
[0:15] Speaker 2: from the side of a semi, and every time he
[0:17] Speaker 2: turns on the lights, there's nobody there. What happens over
[0:20] Speaker 2: the next hour makes him leave. I'm Jeremiah Byron, and
[0:24] Speaker 2: this is Bigfoot Society.
[0:25] Speaker 1: Hi, my name is Matthew. I'm a truck driver. I'm
[0:29] Speaker 1: a 35 years old. So this is a bit of
[0:33] Speaker 1: a long story. It kind of starts in the Alabama,
[0:38] Speaker 1: you know, Georgia region and ends in Utah.
[0:45] Speaker 3: So I've been a truck driver five years now.
[0:50] Speaker 1: And my first trip, my first year out, I was
[0:54] Speaker 1: on my first kind of cross country trip.
[0:55] Speaker 3: I'm from Chicago.
[0:57] Speaker 1: And, uh, Went to New York, picked up a load,
[0:59] Speaker 1: took it all the way down to Florida, go up
[1:01] Speaker 1: to Georgia. And normally, when you kind of run out
[1:05] Speaker 1: of hours and you want to sleep, you just take
[1:08] Speaker 1: a highway on-ramp, off-ramp. And so I take an off-ramp,
[1:13] Speaker 1: and I open the passenger door to kind of stand
[1:17] Speaker 1: on the railing there, and I would pee. You know, obviously,
[1:19] Speaker 1: if it was dark out, I could get away with it.
[1:23] Speaker 1: And there's a big fence in front of me. I'm
[1:25] Speaker 1: kind of out in, like, you know, someone's ranch, but
[1:28] Speaker 1: it's way out the edge of their ranch. So I
[1:30] Speaker 1: could see one little light post kind of off in
[1:32] Speaker 1: the distance. And what looked like either cattle or horses
[1:37] Speaker 1: or something just.
[1:37] Speaker 3: Kind of milling around.
[1:40] Speaker 1: And there's one I'm kind of looking at as I'm,
[1:43] Speaker 1: you know, doing my business. I'm looking at one that
[1:46] Speaker 1: seems like it's directly under the light. And I could
[1:49] Speaker 1: see something on.
[1:50] Speaker 3: All fours, right?
[1:52] Speaker 4: Big.
[1:52] Speaker 3: And round like it would be a cow.
[1:55] Speaker 1: And next thing I noticed, the two front paws or legs, whatever,
[2:00] Speaker 1: kind of go up. So now it looks like a
[2:03] Speaker 1: human that's bent over doing the touch your toes pose,
[2:08] Speaker 1: but it's got his hands to its side. And I
[2:12] Speaker 1: could see the head kind of shifting towards my direction.
[2:16] Speaker 1: And honestly, I didn't stick around Much after that.
[2:19] Speaker 3: It freaked me out.
[2:20] Speaker 1: I've listened to Bigfoot and stuff like that for years
[2:22] Speaker 1: and enjoy it like a sleep fodder, you know.
[2:26] Speaker 3: I'll put it on and whatnot.
[2:30] Speaker 1: My uncle had an encounter years ago and kind of
[2:32] Speaker 1: just my interest peaked from there. So, I jump back
[2:38] Speaker 1: in the truck and drive down until I could reach
[2:40] Speaker 1: a rest stop.
[2:41] Speaker 3: Went over my hours and everything.
[2:44] Speaker 5: A couple of days later, I'm.
[2:47] Speaker 3: Going down into Alabama.
[2:49] Speaker 1: I'm on an Alabama state route.
[2:52] Speaker 3: It was so long ago. I forget a lot of.
[2:54] Speaker 1: The locations, but it's a two lane, you know, Alabama
[2:58] Speaker 1: state route. And the shoulder is just enough space for
[3:05] Speaker 1: me to squeeze the truck in. And I'm surrounded by
[3:08] Speaker 1: forest on either side. And the forest is kind of
[3:12] Speaker 1: overgrown and encroaching out onto the shoulder.
[3:15] Speaker 3: And I pull off.
[3:18] Speaker 1: I got the windows open and I can hear it's
[3:21] Speaker 1: maybe two or three in the morning. And again, I'm
[3:25] Speaker 1: going to jump out the passenger side, use the bathroom and,
[3:29] Speaker 1: you know, get back into the drive. So I'm sitting
[3:32] Speaker 1: there kind of doing my clock thing to stop it
[3:34] Speaker 1: so I could jump out the passenger side.
[3:36] Speaker 3: And like I said, I mean, it's.
[3:37] Speaker 5: Two in the morning.
[3:37] Speaker 3: There's nobody on this road. It's pitch black.
[3:41] Speaker 1: And I could hear the sounds of the forest.
[3:43] Speaker 3: You know, it's summertime and you could hear the forest
[3:46] Speaker 3: is alive.
[3:49] Speaker 1: And I jump out the passenger side, and this time
[3:51] Speaker 1: I get off the truck, and I get down onto
[3:55] Speaker 1: the shoulder and kind of, you know, a pace into the,
[3:58] Speaker 1: you know, where the.
[4:01] Speaker 3: Forest floor is kind of overgrowing, and I'm doing my business.
[4:05] Speaker 3: And as I'm finishing, suddenly, hair on the back of
[4:09] Speaker 3: my neck stands up. Everything goes quiet. I mean, I've
[4:14] Speaker 3: never experienced....
[4:17] Speaker 1: That feeling in my life. I'm talking, it was so quiet,
[4:22] Speaker 1: it was deafening, if that makes sense. I know it's oxymoron,
[4:26] Speaker 1: but I could feel this immense pressure from how quiet
[4:30] Speaker 1: it was. I mean, I'm telling you, just five seconds before, I.
[4:35] Speaker 3: Could hear crickets.
[4:37] Speaker 1: And this, that, and the other, and the wind rustling
[4:40] Speaker 1: through it, and all this stuff, and then just suddenly,
[4:44] Speaker 1: dead quiet, and the hair stands up.
[4:46] Speaker 3: And I just felt I goosebumps.
[4:49] Speaker 1: I didn't even finish. I, I, you know, zipped up
[4:53] Speaker 1: and I turned around and ran back into the truck.
[4:55] Speaker 1: I mean, I made a mess on myself. It was
[4:58] Speaker 1: that bad, slammed it in gear and took off.
[5:01] Speaker 6: So, okay.
[5:03] Speaker 3: I drive off and, you.
[5:05] Speaker 1: Know, uh, days go by, um, entering into Flagstaff. And
[5:10] Speaker 1: this is kind of different from the Bigfoot thing, but
[5:13] Speaker 1: this was all on a single trip from New York
[5:15] Speaker 1: down to Georgia, uh, across the Flagstaff, up into Utah,
[5:18] Speaker 1: where it ultimately ends.
[5:21] Speaker 3: And getting into Flagstaff, and there's a bit of a
[5:26] Speaker 3: climb there. And as I'm climbing up the mountain, again,
[5:31] Speaker 3: it's late.
[5:33] Speaker 1: You know, I would always do my clock to where
[5:35] Speaker 1: I would start driving in the evening, because, you know,
[5:37] Speaker 1: ask any truck driver, night driving is so much better
[5:39] Speaker 1: than day driving, obviously. And I'm climbing, and there's a, like,
[5:44] Speaker 1: an overpass, but it's not actually a highway overpass. It's
[5:47] Speaker 1: like a, I don't know if it's a pipe, something, whatever,
[5:51] Speaker 1: but it's a concrete deal. And I'm going up, and
[5:54] Speaker 1: to my right there is a forest, and I believe
[5:56] Speaker 1: it's one of the natural forests over there.
[5:59] Speaker 3: It's probably, like, part of the Mogollon Rim, something like that.
[6:02] Speaker 1: Again, I apologize that I don't know, you know, the
[6:06] Speaker 1: places or the routes or anything like that by heart.
[6:12] Speaker 1: But anyway, so I'm surrounded by this.
[6:15] Speaker 3: Forest as I'm climbing.
[6:17] Speaker 1: And to my right, I'd say about 1 o'clock, I
[6:22] Speaker 1: could see a little bit of light coming in from
[6:25] Speaker 1: the forest.
[6:27] Speaker 3: And it's like a streak. It's like a bunch of
[6:30] Speaker 3: rays of light.
[6:32] Speaker 1: Whatever's making the light is blocked by this overpass concrete deal.
[6:37] Speaker 3: And the.
[6:41] Speaker 1: Shoulder barriers on the highway is blocking the bottom of
[6:46] Speaker 1: the forest so I have this little you know 6
[6:50] Speaker 1: inch from my point of view 6 inch area of
[6:53] Speaker 1: the forest that I could see these light rays and
[6:57] Speaker 1: I'm climbing and I pass the little concrete overpass deal
[7:03] Speaker 1: and now I could see the whole forest because now
[7:06] Speaker 1: I'm above the forest floor And I couldn't believe what
[7:10] Speaker 1: I was looking at. I'm looking at a ball. It's
[7:14] Speaker 1: from my point of view, it was maybe, you know, two,
[7:17] Speaker 1: three hundred yards away. So it looked it was about
[7:19] Speaker 1: the size of basketball from my point of view. And
[7:22] Speaker 1: I could see it spinning. And there's this brilliant white light.
[7:26] Speaker 1: I mean, I've never seen pure, bright white.
[7:30] Speaker 3: Light like that ever.
[7:31] Speaker 1: And I tell people this story and they just don't understand.
[7:36] Speaker 1: And I don't know how to make people understand how
[7:39] Speaker 1: brilliantly white and pure this light was.
[7:44] Speaker 3: But the ball is.
[7:45] Speaker 1: Spinning and I could see it shooting out. You know,
[7:48] Speaker 1: it's not shooting out anything. It's just the rays. It's
[7:51] Speaker 1: the light that's coming off this ball. It's spinning in
[7:54] Speaker 1: a counterclockwise rotation. And I could see the tops of
[8:00] Speaker 1: the trees illuminating as this light is kind of passing.
[8:04] Speaker 3: And it was amazing. It was like a disco ball.
[8:07] Speaker 1: And, you know, the tops of the trees are lighting
[8:09] Speaker 1: up and darkening out, lighting up, darkening out. And I'm,
[8:12] Speaker 1: you know, I had a heavy load going up, you know,
[8:15] Speaker 1: a 6%, 7% grade. So I'm going like 25, 30
[8:19] Speaker 1: miles per hour. So I had a lot of time
[8:20] Speaker 1: to see this thing. And... I see it descending slowly
[8:25] Speaker 1: down towards the bottom of the trees, and I got
[8:27] Speaker 1: a perfect view of this whole thing. And it's going down,
[8:31] Speaker 1: and I could see it, like, doing a 360, you know,
[8:34] Speaker 1: lighting up the trees all the way down to the floor,
[8:36] Speaker 1: and it's there for a few seconds, and then it
[8:40] Speaker 1: shoots straight up into the sky. By the time it
[8:43] Speaker 1: got to the tops of the trees, I mean, it
[8:45] Speaker 1: accelerated so quickly it was gone.
[8:46] Speaker 8: It beamed out.
[8:48] Speaker 5: And, I mean, shoot.
[8:52] Speaker 1: I'm 80,000 pounds going up a mountain, and I'm perplexed.
[8:57] Speaker 3: I don't know what I saw. I don't know what
[8:59] Speaker 3: I was looking at. People go, why didn't you record it? No,
[9:04] Speaker 3: you're not thinking of, oh, let me get my phone
[9:06] Speaker 3: and record it.
[9:07] Speaker 1: And I was staring at this thing for a solid
[9:09] Speaker 1: 50 seconds. I mean, more than enough time to grab
[9:12] Speaker 1: my phone and record it.
[9:13] Speaker 3: But that's not what was going through my head.
[9:14] Speaker 1: What was going through my head is, I've never seen
[9:17] Speaker 1: this before. I, this, this isn't real, you know, days
[9:21] Speaker 1: go by, I deliver my load to Phoenix, I got
[9:24] Speaker 1: something going up north into California, and then now I'm
[9:27] Speaker 1: cutting across, uh, the Sierra Nevadas into Utah, you know,
[9:33] Speaker 1: taking I-80 straight into Chicago, I'm going back home, now,
[9:37] Speaker 1: when I get into the mountains, uh, it seemed like
[9:41] Speaker 1: it took forever to cross.
[9:43] Speaker 3: Into, you know, Nevada, uh, and that whole area.
[9:49] Speaker 1: And I remember talking to my wife, it must have
[9:53] Speaker 1: been the first day, and you know, it's I-80, I believe.
[9:58] Speaker 1: And there's this flat stretch of highway that just goes
[10:00] Speaker 1: on forever.
[10:02] Speaker 3: And you're kind of up in the mountains.
[10:04] Speaker 1: And I remember having this anxiety attack or panic attack just.
[10:09] Speaker 5: Out of nowhere.
[10:10] Speaker 1: And I remember calling my wife and I told her
[10:13] Speaker 1: something's wrong, like something doesn't feel right.
[10:15] Speaker 5: You know, I've.
[10:17] Speaker 3: Crisscrossed these mountains before.
[10:18] Speaker 1: I had been driving for a couple months now up
[10:20] Speaker 1: until this point and had, you know, crisscrossed the country already.
[10:25] Speaker 1: And I'm telling my wife, something doesn't feel right. I
[10:28] Speaker 1: feel like I can't get out of these mountains. I
[10:30] Speaker 1: feel like I can't breathe being in these mountains. And
[10:33] Speaker 1: she's trying to calm me down and whatnot.
[10:37] Speaker 3: And, you know, whatever.
[10:39] Speaker 5: I rest.
[10:40] Speaker 3: I kind of get over it.
[10:43] Speaker 1: So that night I'm driving... And I can't remember exactly
[10:49] Speaker 1: where I was. I know I was in the mountains.
[10:52] Speaker 1: I was, you know, at the summit of something. I
[10:56] Speaker 1: can't remember if I was in Utah, was that 84,
[10:59] Speaker 1: that Uinta Basin area, you know, I-84 kind of intersects.
[11:04] Speaker 1: But it's about 2.30, 3 a.m. There's a good stretch
[11:09] Speaker 1: of this highway where you're, you know, high desert terrain.
[11:14] Speaker 3: There's nothing. There's no towns.
[11:16] Speaker 1: There's nothing up there for a good stretch. And there's
[11:20] Speaker 1: a bunch of exits on this highway up in the mountains.
[11:24] Speaker 3: And you could take them. And it's really just access roads, really.
[11:30] Speaker 1: And the exits kind of just, you take the exit
[11:33] Speaker 1: and it's like a little horseshoe deal and you can
[11:35] Speaker 1: go right.
[11:35] Speaker 3: Back on the highway.
[11:37] Speaker 1: And I would assume they're made for like truckers getting tired.
[11:40] Speaker 3: So I'm tired.
[11:41] Speaker 8: It's 3 a.m.
[11:43] Speaker 1: And I go, all right, I'm going to, I still
[11:44] Speaker 1: have some time, but I, you know, I'm going to
[11:45] Speaker 1: take a little nap, let the sun come out. I'll
[11:47] Speaker 1: finish driving. So I take one of these access roads.
[11:51] Speaker 1: I park up on the side. There's nobody around. And
[11:55] Speaker 1: I'm telling you, there's no, it's a flat desert all
[11:58] Speaker 1: around me. I could look out either side of the
[12:00] Speaker 1: window and I'm looking maybe 10 miles unobstructed directly in
[12:06] Speaker 1: front of me is the, you know, summit of this
[12:08] Speaker 1: other mountain range. Um, And so, you know, there's all
[12:13] Speaker 1: types of caves or whatever, I'm sure, in those mountains.
[12:16] Speaker 1: And directly in front, I'd say about a half a mile.
[12:20] Speaker 3: So I park up. And, you know, I get down
[12:23] Speaker 3: into my boxers, my tank top. And I lay down
[12:28] Speaker 3: in the back.
[12:29] Speaker 5: I lay down.
[12:31] Speaker 1: And about ten minutes go by. And I'm laying down
[12:33] Speaker 1: where my head is. My pillow is right behind the
[12:37] Speaker 1: driver's side. And I hear a faint knock. on the
[12:41] Speaker 1: side of the truck, the area of the truck right
[12:44] Speaker 1: in between where my head is and the driver's seat.
[12:46] Speaker 3: It's a very faint knock, but it's a knock. And
[12:49] Speaker 3: it's not just a single knock. It's a couple.
[12:51] Speaker 1: Doop, doop, doop, something like that. I thought, oh, crap,
[12:53] Speaker 1: there's a cop or someone going to tell me I've
[12:55] Speaker 1: got to move.
[12:57] Speaker 3: So I get up.
[12:58] Speaker 1: I kind of peek my head out the curtain. It's
[13:00] Speaker 1: pitch black out there. I don't see anything.
[13:02] Speaker 8: And I go, shoot.
[13:03] Speaker 3: And I sit on the driver's seat, and I.
[13:06] Speaker 1: Blast my window all the way down, and turn on
[13:09] Speaker 1: the runner lights and the light I had on the side,
[13:12] Speaker 1: I could see if I look out my side mirror,
[13:15] Speaker 1: I could see from basically where I'm sitting all the
[13:18] Speaker 1: way down to the end of the trailer in the back.
[13:21] Speaker 1: That's how much it illuminates the entire.
[13:24] Speaker 3: Side of the truck.
[13:25] Speaker 1: And I could see about 10 feet out, outwards on
[13:28] Speaker 1: either side. And I'm looking, I don't see anything. And
[13:31] Speaker 1: I got both windows down. And I'm looking at both sides.
[13:34] Speaker 1: I'm sticking my head out.
[13:35] Speaker 3: Did I miss somebody?
[13:37] Speaker 1: And a couple of seconds go by and I feel eerie.
[13:40] Speaker 1: And I go, you know, I shouldn't have the windows
[13:42] Speaker 1: blast like this. So I put the windows up, turn
[13:44] Speaker 1: off the lights, and I lay back down. I didn't
[13:47] Speaker 1: realize I've gone so long.
[13:50] Speaker 3: But I'm ending. I'm running out of time. So I'll
[13:52] Speaker 3: finish it for sure. I promise. Part four. Matthew Ramose.
[13:56] Speaker 3: Thank you.
[13:57] Speaker 9: Sorry.
[13:58] Speaker 3: All right. Part four. The finale. So, yeah, I have
[14:03] Speaker 3: the windows down.
[14:04] Speaker 1: I'm looking out both sides, and I don't see anybody.
[14:07] Speaker 1: And I start feeling eerie. I put the windows back up.
[14:11] Speaker 1: I go back down and lay down. And a couple
[14:14] Speaker 1: minutes go by. I'm texting my wife here and there,
[14:16] Speaker 1: just whatever. A couple minutes go by. I click off
[14:19] Speaker 1: the phone, and, again, I hear the knock. One, two, three,
[14:23] Speaker 1: same spot. And I sit up, and I go out
[14:27] Speaker 1: the curtain, and I hit the runner lights, and I'm looking.
[14:30] Speaker 3: I don't see anybody.
[14:32] Speaker 1: All right, someone's messing with me. You know, someone definitely
[14:35] Speaker 1: is messing with me. Now, mind you, it's 3 a.m.
[14:39] Speaker 1: and I'm minimum 40 miles from civilization in either direction.
[14:45] Speaker 3: And there's nothing up here.
[14:48] Speaker 1: And there's nobody around. There's no trees, nothing like that.
[14:52] Speaker 1: I mean, it's high desert. And I look around, I
[14:57] Speaker 1: hit the lights, I go back, lay down. About ten
[15:00] Speaker 1: more minutes, and I hear the knock again, but this
[15:02] Speaker 1: time it's on the passenger side.
[15:04] Speaker 5: Or as we.
[15:05] Speaker 3: The blind side. It's on the passenger side.
[15:08] Speaker 1: Same area in between where my head would be and
[15:11] Speaker 1: the passenger seat.
[15:13] Speaker 3: One, two, three, knock. I get up quick.
[15:16] Speaker 1: So I jump right up, and I stick my head
[15:18] Speaker 1: out the curtain again, and I go, alright, this is ridiculous.
[15:22] Speaker 3: So I lay back down. So this goes on for
[15:25] Speaker 3: the next half hour, where.
[15:27] Speaker 1: Knocking is coming from various parts of the truck. The cab, specifically.
[15:35] Speaker 3: The door. Not the window. The door. The side.
[15:39] Speaker 1: Behind me. On the passenger side. I mean, it's going on.
[15:42] Speaker 1: Every single time, I'm jumping up. And, you know, snatching
[15:46] Speaker 1: open the curtain to see what's going on.
[15:49] Speaker 3: So, 30 minutes this goes on. Every couple of minutes,
[15:51] Speaker 3: it's happening. So, finally, after 30 minutes, I go... This
[15:55] Speaker 3: is ridiculous. The wind is probably.
[15:58] Speaker 1: you know, blowing like rocks or whatever to hit the truck.
[16:02] Speaker 1: It was wintertime, so it's like five degrees outside. So
[16:06] Speaker 1: I know there's nobody out there messing around this long.
[16:10] Speaker 1: And it wasn't that windy, but I just, you know,
[16:14] Speaker 1: in my own head, I said, that's what it is.
[16:17] Speaker 1: And so another 15 minutes goes by and I'm finally
[16:22] Speaker 1: like getting comfortable and I got my spot and I'm
[16:25] Speaker 1: ready to sleep. Again, the knock happens on the passenger side,
[16:31] Speaker 1: and I'm ignoring it.
[16:34] Speaker 3: I ignore it. A couple minutes later, it happens on
[16:37] Speaker 3: my side, the driver's side. Screw this. I'm ignoring it.
[16:43] Speaker 1: And for the next 40 minutes, this knocking is happening
[16:47] Speaker 1: every couple of minutes on either side of the truck,
[16:49] Speaker 1: but I've just decided I'm ignoring this because I want
[16:52] Speaker 1: to sleep.
[16:52] Speaker 3: I need to get a couple hours in. Sun's going
[16:55] Speaker 3: to be up, and I'm hitting the road.
[16:57] Speaker 1: So, 40 minutes, and this entire 40 minutes, I'm not sleeping,
[17:01] Speaker 1: because every time it's knocking, I'm trying to convince myself
[17:04] Speaker 1: to not be scared, but I'm freaking out. So, finally,
[17:09] Speaker 1: after the 40 minutes, all this, like, various knocking, and
[17:12] Speaker 1: it's always the three, one, two, three, one, two, three, one, two, three,
[17:15] Speaker 1: on every side. Finally, 40 minutes, it goes quiet, and then,
[17:23] Speaker 1: out of nowhere... There's a banging on the side of
[17:27] Speaker 1: the truck, on the passenger side, and it's so violent
[17:32] Speaker 1: and strong, the banging. And it was as if, you know,
[17:36] Speaker 1: a 7-foot, 400-pound guy ran full speed at the side
[17:41] Speaker 1: of the truck and slammed both his fists into it.
[17:45] Speaker 1: So much so that the truck rocked back and forth.
[17:47] Speaker 1: I mean, if you've ever seen a semi-truck, the cab,
[17:50] Speaker 1: if they're bobtail without a trailer... They kind of will
[17:53] Speaker 1: sway when you're moving. I don't know the technical terms.
[17:57] Speaker 1: And at that point, I almost crapped myself. I jumped up,
[18:03] Speaker 1: jumped in the driver's seat, ran the truck, and didn't
[18:05] Speaker 1: even let the air fill up.
[18:07] Speaker 3: I mean, I was dragging the trailer to go.
[18:09] Speaker 1: And as I'm driving off, I have the runner lights on,
[18:12] Speaker 1: and there's pounding now on the trailer because the truck
[18:16] Speaker 1: is moving. And I'm staring at the passenger side of
[18:19] Speaker 1: the trailer where the pounding is coming from. And I
[18:22] Speaker 1: see nothing, but I could see the trailer swing a
[18:26] Speaker 1: little bit as I'm driving off. Like sections of it
[18:30] Speaker 1: are being as if something's standing there and pounding with
[18:32] Speaker 1: both fists as I'm going. It happened three more times
[18:36] Speaker 1: where the banging was hitting the side. Like I said,
[18:38] Speaker 1: something was standing still and pounding with both fists on
[18:41] Speaker 1: the side of the trailer. And it happened in the
[18:44] Speaker 1: front of the trailer. It happened in the middle of
[18:46] Speaker 1: the trailer. And then it happened towards the back. And again,
[18:49] Speaker 1: the lights are shining all the way down the side.
[18:51] Speaker 1: So I could, I'm looking at this thing and the
[18:53] Speaker 1: entire time I'm driving off, I'm staring at that. I
[18:56] Speaker 1: didn't even see what was going on in my front door.
[18:58] Speaker 1: I look, did none of that matter. I got my
[19:00] Speaker 1: eyes glued on my pasture side mirror, staring at the
[19:04] Speaker 1: trailer getting swayed by these powerful strikes. And, and, you know,
[19:09] Speaker 1: that was it. And just drove off and, and, uh,
[19:13] Speaker 1: kind of put it out of my mind, but that
[19:14] Speaker 1: was five years ago.
[19:15] Speaker 3: And, uh, I've avoided those mountains as best I could.
[19:20] Speaker 1: As a matter of fact, last winter, I took my
[19:23] Speaker 1: five-year-old daughter on a trip with me. We were going
[19:26] Speaker 1: from Chicago down to Utah, Salt Lake City, and right back.
[19:32] Speaker 1: And so, you know, I wanted to take my daughter.
[19:35] Speaker 3: It was her birthday. She said she wanted to see
[19:36] Speaker 3: the mountains.
[19:38] Speaker 1: And we stopped at a truck stop in the Uinta Basin.
[19:43] Speaker 3: As a matter of fact, it's a Flying J right
[19:45] Speaker 3: there in the Uinta Basin.
[19:47] Speaker 1: And the entire drive-in I was thinking about the last
[19:50] Speaker 1: time I had stayed in this area. And I had
[19:54] Speaker 1: a crazy nightmare of that. I mean, we're in a
[19:56] Speaker 1: truck stop surrounded by trucks. I had the weirdest nightmare
[20:01] Speaker 1: of something... was just stalking me in the truck. And
[20:04] Speaker 1: I was in my dream house by myself in just
[20:06] Speaker 1: various areas. But it was like this big black, you know,
[20:10] Speaker 1: shadow entity that was just stalking me. And that's all
[20:13] Speaker 1: it was doing, but it was terrifying. And I woke
[20:17] Speaker 1: up and, you know, it's like 6 a.m. I woke up,
[20:19] Speaker 1: I was terrified. I mean, I was legit scared. I
[20:22] Speaker 1: jumped to the front to kind of see where I was,
[20:23] Speaker 1: get my bearings straight. A couple hours later, my daughter
[20:26] Speaker 1: wakes up and she says, Daddy, I had a nightmare.
[20:29] Speaker 1: I said, well, what was it? She goes, there was
[20:30] Speaker 1: something chasing me. And my dream, it was very scary.
[20:34] Speaker 1: And I said, I don't want to come to this
[20:36] Speaker 1: place anymore. But back to the origins of what got
[20:40] Speaker 1: into my Bigfoot appreciation.
[20:43] Speaker 3: It was my oldest brother's wedding.
[20:44] Speaker 1: And my uncle, who came to this country in 1994.
[20:49] Speaker 3: And really good mechanic, saved.
[20:52] Speaker 1: Up his money, opened up a mechanic shop and opened
[20:55] Speaker 1: up a couple in the Bay Area.
[20:57] Speaker 3: And his English was.
[20:58] Speaker 1: never was really good, he's since passed away, but his
[21:00] Speaker 1: English was never really the best, but he loved, like,
[21:04] Speaker 1: American culture, and some of his employees were hunters, and
[21:09] Speaker 1: he would go up every year into the Sierra Nevadas
[21:11] Speaker 1: with one of his employees, and they would hunt, and
[21:13] Speaker 1: he had a cabin up there, and so at the wedding,
[21:16] Speaker 1: me and my dad are having a drink, and we're
[21:19] Speaker 1: talking to him, and he tells my dad, you should
[21:21] Speaker 1: come with us, you know, one year up in the
[21:23] Speaker 1: mountains and hunting. And my dad goes, I'm not a hunter.
[21:26] Speaker 1: I wouldn't be able to shoot an animal. My uncle says, ah,
[21:28] Speaker 1: we ever rarely, you know, kill anything, but it's fun
[21:31] Speaker 1: to be up there in the mountains and have some
[21:32] Speaker 1: beers and barbecue. And, and my dad said, well, why
[21:36] Speaker 1: aren't you worried about, you know, bears? And my uncle says,
[21:38] Speaker 1: oh no, uh, bears aren't a problem. I never see
[21:42] Speaker 1: bears up there. Uh, I do see the mountain people
[21:45] Speaker 1: every once in a while, but, uh, they're okay.
[21:47] Speaker 3: You know, you just ignore them. They go about their business.
[21:49] Speaker 3: And my dad's like, what are you talking about mountain people?
[21:52] Speaker 1: He goes, yeah, you see these guys, they're like cavemen,
[21:56] Speaker 1: you know, they're big giant guys and they kind of
[21:58] Speaker 1: walk around all fours, you think it's a bear and
[22:00] Speaker 1: they stand up and look at you and I wave
[22:03] Speaker 1: at them and they turn around and they walk away.
[22:04] Speaker 3: And my dad's like, what are you talking about?
[22:07] Speaker 1: He goes, yeah, up in the Sierra Nevadas, they're like,
[22:08] Speaker 1: they got cavemen that live up there, they're like primitive peoples.
[22:11] Speaker 1: They're covered in hair, they're big seven feet tall people.
[22:14] Speaker 1: He goes, yeah, they're hillbillies, nobody bothers them.
[22:17] Speaker 3: And my dad's like rapping his biggest. What do you talk?
[22:20] Speaker 1: I don't think that's real. He goes, yeah, I see
[22:22] Speaker 1: him every year up there. He goes, they never bothered me.
[22:26] Speaker 1: And I, my dad's, would you ever ask your employee
[22:28] Speaker 1: about him? He goes, yeah, he tells me, don't worry
[22:30] Speaker 1: about them.
[22:30] Speaker 3: They're good people. So that's kind of what piqued my interest.
[22:34] Speaker 1: And I ended up watching a Bigfoot video and my
[22:37] Speaker 1: dad had walked in and he goes, Hey, this is
[22:38] Speaker 1: what my, you know, your uncle was talking. I go, yeah.
[22:41] Speaker 1: So that's where that started from. And now, like I said,
[22:44] Speaker 1: my uncle had no idea what Bigfoot is. Um, you know, never,
[22:49] Speaker 1: you know, wasn't a drinker. I would have a few
[22:51] Speaker 1: beers every blue moon, but a great standup guy.
[22:54] Speaker 3: I mean, it wasn't a liar. It wasn't like an,
[22:56] Speaker 3: you know, just a really good solid guy. And if
[22:59] Speaker 3: he's telling you there's eight foot.
[23:01] Speaker 1: Mountain people up there that are hairy and naked, but
[23:05] Speaker 1: they're okay. You know, you kind of took him at
[23:06] Speaker 1: his word for it. So that's kind of what started my,
[23:09] Speaker 1: my journey into it.
[23:09] Speaker 3: And until I had my own experiences, I don't know
[23:13] Speaker 3: that it was Bigfoot or anything like that.
[23:14] Speaker 1: I didn't see anything, but based off of like the experiences,
[23:18] Speaker 1: it sure felt like a lot of the other stories
[23:20] Speaker 1: I've heard.
[23:21] Speaker 3: So anyway, thank you for, for taking the time to listen.
[23:24] Speaker 3: I appreciate it.
[23:25] Speaker 6: Hi, Ray. Hey guys. How you doing, man?
[23:28] Speaker 5: Hey, doing good.
[23:29] Speaker 6: Perfect. Yeah. Go ahead.
[23:30] Speaker 2: Feel free to share what you've experienced.
[23:33] Speaker 8: Yeah.
[23:34] Speaker 10: I was a truck driver, man. And, uh, it was
[23:37] Speaker 10: delivering up in Hickory. I was working for a company
[23:40] Speaker 10: out of Atlanta. I had been up and down this.
[23:43] Speaker 10: It was a, uh, kind of like you know in
[23:46] Speaker 10: hickory you would get off the major highway and then
[23:49] Speaker 10: take like a a side road to get to the
[23:52] Speaker 10: others to to a warehouse and it but it went
[23:56] Speaker 10: by a quarry you know so when i say that
[23:59] Speaker 10: i'm coming to the bottom of the road so it
[24:03] Speaker 10: was a quarry and uh i've been by this place
[24:08] Speaker 10: you know so many times anyways it was i've never
[24:12] Speaker 10: seen a bear alive but when i Pulled up on
[24:15] Speaker 10: this thing at 2 a.m.
[24:17] Speaker 6: In the morning. This thing was standing larger.
[24:20] Speaker 10: It was looking me eye to eye in my truck
[24:24] Speaker 10: that I had to stop my semi, pull the brakes.
[24:29] Speaker 10: And I'm looking this thing straight in the eyes, sitting
[24:33] Speaker 10: in a semi. You know, and I'm thinking, okay, maybe
[24:38] Speaker 10: I'm seeing a bear. But the face on this thing...
[24:43] Speaker 10: And it was really upset that I came up upon it.
[24:47] Speaker 10: It was the weirdest feeling of... I've seen everything on
[24:51] Speaker 10: the road. It's 18 years of driving. But I've never
[24:54] Speaker 10: come across anything like this in my life. That its
[25:00] Speaker 10: face looked like an old man. And the hairline on
[25:04] Speaker 10: it was like way back. Like it wasn't... It was
[25:08] Speaker 10: the weirdest thing I've ever seen in my life. It
[25:11] Speaker 10: looked like a man... but it's standing six foot eight,
[25:14] Speaker 10: six foot nine.
[25:17] Speaker 6: And it was.
[25:17] Speaker 10: Upset that I drove up on it with lights. That
[25:21] Speaker 10: even turned the truck off to look at it. Didn't
[25:26] Speaker 10: even think to take a picture. I was in shock.
[25:30] Speaker 6: You know what I mean?
[25:30] Speaker 10: When you're looking at it, like I thought it was
[25:33] Speaker 10: a bear maybe. Like, okay, I just drove up on
[25:36] Speaker 10: a bear in the middle of the road. Like you
[25:38] Speaker 10: could tell it was smelling something and looking around. But
[25:43] Speaker 10: it looked at me like I was upsetting it. And
[25:47] Speaker 10: we stood there for like three minutes.
[25:50] Speaker 6: You know what I mean?
[25:50] Speaker 10: That's the longest three minutes I ever looked at something.
[25:53] Speaker 10: I couldn't understand. And I still try to explain this
[25:58] Speaker 10: to everybody. And they're like, oh, it's a bear. I'm like,
[26:01] Speaker 10: there's no bear that stands that tall. Or has that face.
[26:05] Speaker 10: I mean, I just, Hickory, North Carolina, I did a
[26:10] Speaker 10: lot of research. And that's a very high population for
[26:15] Speaker 10: sightings but i know what i seen i just can't
[26:20] Speaker 10: explain it to nobody it didn't run off you know
[26:23] Speaker 10: but it kind of bent over and kind of did
[26:26] Speaker 10: like a hop off you know what i mean like
[26:30] Speaker 10: it didn't run upstanding but it's still bent over and
[26:36] Speaker 10: so you know that was the the problem you know
[26:39] Speaker 10: i mean i just can't explain it and i knew
[26:41] Speaker 10: i was by a quarry you know, like very high populated,
[26:46] Speaker 10: you know, I come from Florida. So you're always going
[26:48] Speaker 10: to run into animals around, you know, water, you know,
[26:54] Speaker 10: in the woods. I just can't explain what I seen
[26:59] Speaker 10: that night. It blew my mind.
[27:02] Speaker 2: So when you rode up on it and you said
[27:05] Speaker 2: it was about six, eight. So were you looking into
[27:08] Speaker 2: when you're sitting in your truck, were you looking into
[27:10] Speaker 2: its chest or its face or.
[27:13] Speaker 10: It's eyes straight, sitting in a semi. I'm looking straight
[27:18] Speaker 10: into its face. See, that's the part that I can't
[27:22] Speaker 10: say it was in a bear. A bear would have
[27:24] Speaker 10: never been that tall. Standing on the road, on pavement,
[27:29] Speaker 10: he's looking me in the eye. I mean, how do
[27:33] Speaker 10: you explain that? I mean, I'm looking him straight in.
[27:37] Speaker 10: He's not concerned with me.
[27:40] Speaker 6: There was no concern whatsoever. He was mad. I was there.
[27:44] Speaker 10: I had the lights on him. You know, I mean,
[27:48] Speaker 10: I had to pull the brakes. You know, when you
[27:49] Speaker 10: pull air brakes on a semi, he didn't flinch. There
[27:53] Speaker 10: was no flinch. He wasn't scared of me being there.
[27:57] Speaker 10: It just still is something I've told the story to
[28:03] Speaker 10: many people.
[28:07] Speaker 2: How wide across were the shoulders?
[28:11] Speaker 10: See, that's what, you know, when you try to dive
[28:15] Speaker 10: into what you're seeing in those five minutes, four minutes.
[28:20] Speaker 10: You know, I'm focused on the face because I look
[28:22] Speaker 10: like an old man. Like the hairline was way far
[28:28] Speaker 10: back on top of its head. And I can't explain, but,
[28:33] Speaker 10: you know, I just know that if I got out
[28:35] Speaker 10: of my truck, I would.
[28:37] Speaker 6: Have stood to the middle of his chest, maybe. You
[28:41] Speaker 6: know what I mean? I just and he didn't flinch.
[28:45] Speaker 6: He didn't.
[28:46] Speaker 10: That was the part I stood there. We were in
[28:49] Speaker 10: total silence because I turned the truck off. I pulled
[28:52] Speaker 10: the brakes, which what made me do that? I still
[28:55] Speaker 10: don't know because I was just dumbfounded. You know, I'm
[29:00] Speaker 10: from Florida, so I've seen some things.
[29:03] Speaker 2: Were there parts of the face that were not covered
[29:05] Speaker 2: with with hair like there was just.
[29:07] Speaker 10: Yeah, his face was kind of bare. You know what
[29:14] Speaker 10: I mean? I know everybody tells me it's a bear,
[29:16] Speaker 10: but there's nothing that tall.
[29:19] Speaker 6: But he had an old man's face. You know what
[29:22] Speaker 6: I mean? Like a really distinctive....
[29:27] Speaker 2: Do you remember the color of the skin?
[29:30] Speaker 6: Well, I put it to a bore. You know what
[29:33] Speaker 6: I mean? Like the hair. It was very... I don't
[29:36] Speaker 6: know if you've ever seen a very black, very black
[29:40] Speaker 6: coarse kind of hair. You know what I mean? Like
[29:44] Speaker 6: it was very kind of thick. You know, it was just.
[29:50] Speaker 10: But that's all I kept looking at was the hair
[29:53] Speaker 10: around his head and his eyes were distinctive.
[29:57] Speaker 6: But the hair was very coarse and short. It wasn't long.
[30:02] Speaker 10: Like you see Bigfoot, everything looks like he's this long haired.
[30:07] Speaker 10: And this thing was totally different. It was, I just,
[30:11] Speaker 10: I mean, maybe I haven't seen enough bears in my life,
[30:16] Speaker 10: but I've just never seen anything this massive and intimidating.
[30:23] Speaker 2: It's a wild account and it sounds like it just
[30:26] Speaker 2: eventually got bored and kind of went.
[30:29] Speaker 10: On its way. Bored is the word. Like he was
[30:33] Speaker 10: done with me. Like he was smelling. I know when
[30:37] Speaker 10: I pulled up on him, he was smelling. He was,
[30:40] Speaker 10: you know, when you see the head turning and he
[30:43] Speaker 10: was trying to find some kind of smell.
[30:47] Speaker 6: And I just kind of drove up in a semi.
[30:49] Speaker 6: Come on, man.
[30:51] Speaker 10: Anything else would have ran. And this guy was not
[30:54] Speaker 10: concerned with me. You know, full semi, brakes, pull the brakes.
[31:00] Speaker 10: There was no concern with me being there. He was
[31:04] Speaker 10: fixated on something. He was trying to find food, is
[31:08] Speaker 10: what I was thinking. He was trying to chase something.
[31:14] Speaker 10: And I just kind of pissed him off.
[31:17] Speaker 2: After you saw that, did you talk to your other
[31:22] Speaker 2: truck driver friends and see if anyone else had any
[31:25] Speaker 2: sightings in the area?
[31:27] Speaker 10: I went right to the guy at the warehouse where
[31:30] Speaker 10: I delivered to. And he goes, oh, yeah, they've seen. Yeah,
[31:33] Speaker 10: that's normal around here. Like Hickory, North Carolina is very common.
[31:39] Speaker 10: And I did all the research and everything, looked it up.
[31:43] Speaker 10: And yeah, it's like, it's like, it's like, you know,
[31:46] Speaker 10: and then there's videos. If you look up Hickory, North Carolina,
[31:50] Speaker 10: there's videos where they seen them out in the woods.
[31:54] Speaker 10: So it's kind of just crazy. I believe in it.
[31:57] Speaker 10: I mean, I would never, listen, I, I wouldn't believe
[32:00] Speaker 10: unless I seen it with my own eyes, man.
[32:03] Speaker 6: And it's not a bear. There was no bear.
[32:07] Speaker 10: There's no bear that stands as tall as to look
[32:10] Speaker 10: into the eyes of being a semi, man. That was
[32:14] Speaker 10: the problem I had. You know, standing upright.
[32:20] Speaker 2: It's a wild story, and I thank you for sharing.
[32:26] Speaker 6: I'm glad I got this off my chest. Makes me
[32:28] Speaker 6: feel a lot better. Thanks a lot, man.
[32:32] Speaker 5: Absolutely.
[32:32] Speaker 2: If anything else happens, feel free to reach out. You
[32:35] Speaker 2: can always email me directly at bigfootsociety at gmail.com. But
[32:39] Speaker 2: thanks so much for sharing what you saw that night.
[32:43] Speaker 6: Thank you, brother. Have a great day, man. You too.
[32:47] Speaker 2: Hey, this is Jeremiah. You were saying that you've had
[32:50] Speaker 2: a sighting while you were hunting?
[32:53] Speaker 5: Yeah, it was back in the 90s.
[32:54] Speaker 12: I was bow hunting here in Colton, Oregon, just not
[32:59] Speaker 12: too far behind the house here up in the mountains.
[33:02] Speaker 12: And it was dusk. And I would say another three,
[33:06] Speaker 12: four minutes, I wouldn't be able to shoot.
[33:08] Speaker 5: It was getting fairly dark.
[33:11] Speaker 12: And I hear this crashing, just, I mean, loud, loud,
[33:15] Speaker 12: like breaking branches. And like it was something purposefully making
[33:19] Speaker 12: lots of noise coming down the mountain, right towards where
[33:22] Speaker 12: I was sitting in the bushes. And I had full
[33:25] Speaker 12: dress camouflage on. I had a cover scent. And it
[33:29] Speaker 12: was basically following my scent. So I just turned around
[33:33] Speaker 12: and waited thinking, you know, okay, this is a buck
[33:35] Speaker 12: that's in rut and he's mad. And I raised up
[33:40] Speaker 12: my bow and weight and the trail was 20 yards
[33:44] Speaker 12: in front of me. And the thing just came out
[33:47] Speaker 12: of the forest right onto the trail and just stared
[33:51] Speaker 12: at me for, I would say, probably two minutes. I
[33:55] Speaker 12: wouldn't say it was that tall, you know, maybe six
[33:58] Speaker 12: foot or so. But it was really wide, wide shoulders.
[34:03] Speaker 12: And at first it was just holding perfectly still. And
[34:07] Speaker 12: then after about the one minute mark, it started weaving
[34:11] Speaker 12: back and forth side to side like it was getting nervous.
[34:16] Speaker 12: And I just kept my bow on its chest. I
[34:19] Speaker 12: didn't have any intent to shoot it. And to tell
[34:21] Speaker 12: you the truth, I didn't really have any feeling at all.
[34:26] Speaker 12: No fear, no anything. It was kind of a blank moment.
[34:30] Speaker 12: I really can't explain it. But after a second minute
[34:35] Speaker 12: went by, it just backed up very slowly right back
[34:39] Speaker 12: into the forest where it came from and just kind
[34:41] Speaker 12: of disappeared into the darkness. And then it made just
[34:44] Speaker 12: as much noise going back up the mountain as it
[34:46] Speaker 12: did coming down. And that was the extent of the sighting.
[34:50] Speaker 12: There was no smell involved. I didn't smell anything. But
[34:55] Speaker 12: it was pretty exciting afterwards.
[34:58] Speaker 2: That's incredible. So you got a pretty good look at
[35:02] Speaker 2: the face then, it sounds like.
[35:04] Speaker 8: Not really.
[35:05] Speaker 12: Like I said, it was a couple minutes before dark.
[35:08] Speaker 12: So really what I saw was a black outline of
[35:12] Speaker 12: a giant person that was just big and looked to
[35:17] Speaker 12: be hairy. That's all I could see. I couldn't see eyes, nose,
[35:22] Speaker 12: or anything like that. But it had the outline of
[35:28] Speaker 12: a person.
[35:31] Speaker 6: Gotcha.
[35:31] Speaker 2: Were you able to make out the outline of the
[35:34] Speaker 2: head at all?
[35:36] Speaker 12: Yeah, it had a very large head, but the head
[35:38] Speaker 12: sat like right down almost under the shoulders. It was weird,
[35:44] Speaker 12: almost as if it didn't have a neck.
[35:46] Speaker 2: Sometimes people will say that when they see one, the
[35:49] Speaker 2: head has a certain shape. Sometimes it's rounded. Sometimes it's
[35:53] Speaker 2: maybe more conical.
[35:56] Speaker 5: Yeah, I would say it was more round. I live
[35:59] Speaker 5: here in Colton, right in the mountains.
[36:02] Speaker 12: And for years, we've always heard things up there late
[36:05] Speaker 12: at night, like screams and hoops and roars and just
[36:10] Speaker 12: like crazy stuff going on up there.
[36:12] Speaker 5: And I always wondered what it was.
[36:15] Speaker 12: And then once I had the sighting, I had something
[36:18] Speaker 12: to attribute it to.
[36:19] Speaker 2: Have you heard of other sightings in that same area
[36:23] Speaker 2: that you were ever?
[36:25] Speaker 5: Yes.
[36:26] Speaker 12: Since the 90s, I've heard of, oh, I don't even
[36:29] Speaker 12: know how many, probably 15, 16 different sightings here in
[36:33] Speaker 12: the area. The latest one was a man driving home
[36:37] Speaker 12: through Colton and a huge Bigfoot.
[36:40] Speaker 5: He said it was like 12 feet tall.
[36:42] Speaker 12: We're just standing on the side of the road near
[36:44] Speaker 12: Deardorff and Highway 211.
[36:47] Speaker 5: And he just drove right by it and it just
[36:48] Speaker 5: stared at him as he drove by.
[36:53] Speaker 6: Wow.
[36:54] Speaker 2: How long ago was this?
[36:56] Speaker 5: That was about a year ago.
[36:58] Speaker 12: I don't have anything current and I haven't heard any
[37:05] Speaker 12: noises lately either.
[37:07] Speaker 5: It seems to have stopped over the past couple years
[37:10] Speaker 5: and I don't know why.
[37:11] Speaker 2: That's fascinating. Colton's an area that I've not heard much
[37:19] Speaker 2: of but now it's on my radar. I've heard a
[37:21] Speaker 2: ton of things down uh in an area southeast of
[37:27] Speaker 2: eugene and it's an area called oak ridge down there
[37:31] Speaker 2: i've heard a lot of things on 58 down in
[37:35] Speaker 2: that area but i'll definitely be keeping an ear out
[37:38] Speaker 2: for uh for colton now.
[37:41] Speaker 12: Um my i live on a dead end dirt road
[37:45] Speaker 12: and my neighbor across the street would babysit their son's
[37:49] Speaker 12: daughter and he would drop off his daughter at 3.30
[37:52] Speaker 12: in the morning and then leave with his.
[37:54] Speaker 5: Tow truck and we would hear him come by every day.
[37:57] Speaker 12: Well, all of a sudden he quit coming by and
[38:00] Speaker 12: dropping his daughter off and thought that was unusual. And
[38:05] Speaker 12: come to find out, he dropped off his daughter one night, 3.30
[38:09] Speaker 12: in the morning, and a Bigfoot walked along the side
[38:13] Speaker 12: of his tow truck, looking in his driver's side window
[38:17] Speaker 12: all the way down our dirt road and down our
[38:20] Speaker 12: asphalt road to the highway. And then it just ran
[38:24] Speaker 12: off into the field, and it scared him so bad
[38:26] Speaker 12: he's never been back to see his daughter. basically his
[38:31] Speaker 12: um mother-in-law since and that's been like three years that
[38:36] Speaker 12: is wild.
[38:37] Speaker 2: Do you have i'm sure you've heard so many stories
[38:41] Speaker 2: over the years have you heard any where it's a
[38:44] Speaker 2: particularly aggressive encounter or sometimes they try to get into
[38:49] Speaker 2: houses in certain parts of the country.
[38:52] Speaker 12: Well, I've never heard of anything aggressive here in Colton.
[38:55] Speaker 12: It seems that the one or many that live here,
[38:59] Speaker 12: they're pretty laid back. But if you go to Estacada,
[39:03] Speaker 12: which is just the next town up and go up
[39:05] Speaker 12: Highway 224, that's a really bad place to go.
[39:10] Speaker 5: People disappear up there all the time.
[39:14] Speaker 2: You know, I have heard a lot about Estacada. That
[39:17] Speaker 2: is a pretty wild area. Have you heard actual Bigfoot
[39:21] Speaker 2: accounts from Estacada then?
[39:23] Speaker 12: I've only heard a couple of people just driving up
[39:27] Speaker 12: there to spend some time in a park, you know,
[39:29] Speaker 12: a little pull-off near the river, Clackamas River.
[39:33] Speaker 5: And they just later, they never show up.
[39:35] Speaker 12: And people find their car with the door open and
[39:39] Speaker 12: nobody around, just missing.
[39:43] Speaker 2: Is that the Milo McIver State Park?
[39:48] Speaker 12: No, that's off of Springwater. That's outside of Estacada too.
[39:53] Speaker 12: I'm talking about up Highway 224 into the Cascade Mountain Range.
[39:58] Speaker 12: And it cuts over to Highway 22, which connects to
[40:05] Speaker 12: Sisters and Bend.
[40:07] Speaker 2: So you're saying when you go up that area from
[40:11] Speaker 2: Estacada and you go up into like Sisters area, it
[40:14] Speaker 2: could get wild?
[40:14] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[40:16] Speaker 5: Right.
[40:17] Speaker 12: In early 2000, 2003, that was the loudest it had
[40:23] Speaker 12: ever been back in the mountains of my house here.
[40:26] Speaker 5: We would hear screams.
[40:27] Speaker 12: And my wife, I would tell her what I would
[40:30] Speaker 12: hear because I sleep light at night. And she never
[40:34] Speaker 12: really believed in it, but she was nice to me
[40:37] Speaker 12: and she just kind of humored me. Well, one night
[40:40] Speaker 12: we were sleeping with the windows open, and one right
[40:43] Speaker 12: in our backyard let out this huge roar, hoops, and
[40:48] Speaker 12: some chest beating.
[40:49] Speaker 5: And we both popped up out of bed, and her
[40:51] Speaker 5: eyes were so huge.
[40:52] Speaker 12: And I just had the biggest smile on my face
[40:54] Speaker 12: because it finally proved to her that they're real and
[40:58] Speaker 12: they're out there.
[41:01] Speaker 2: And after that, she was on board. She's like, yeah,
[41:03] Speaker 2: there's something out here.
[41:05] Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
[41:05] Speaker 12: Yeah, she was on board, 100%. You have to experience
[41:10] Speaker 12: it to believe it. Another time I was coming home
[41:13] Speaker 12: from Estacada to Colton and I ran into this huge
[41:20] Speaker 12: cloud of stink.
[41:22] Speaker 5: It smelled like, like, uh, 75% skunk and 25%. Um, sulfur.
[41:32] Speaker 12: And I like the smell of skunk and sulfur separately,
[41:36] Speaker 12: but when you add them together, it really messes with you.
[41:39] Speaker 12: I mean, I was being choked out of the car
[41:42] Speaker 12: and right where that stink was, where some skid marks
[41:47] Speaker 12: and a big truck hit a tree. And it appeared
[41:50] Speaker 12: that maybe they came really close to hitting one and
[41:54] Speaker 12: it let off its scent glands and stunk up the place.
[41:57] Speaker 12: And I've always planned on kind of stopping at that
[42:00] Speaker 12: house and asking them if they knew anything about it.
[42:03] Speaker 5: But around here, you got to.
[42:05] Speaker 12: Be careful where you go because people don't take kindly
[42:08] Speaker 12: to visitors.
[42:10] Speaker 2: You know, that's what I hear. There's definitely certain states where,
[42:15] Speaker 2: you know, people just want to be left alone and maybe,
[42:19] Speaker 2: you know, go up knocking on doors.
[42:21] Speaker 8: No.
[42:24] Speaker 10: Yeah.
[42:25] Speaker 3: But.
[42:26] Speaker 12: My nephew had a little run-in with one just this
[42:30] Speaker 12: last hunting season, but he was up the Malala River.
[42:34] Speaker 12: And he said he heard something walk up to him
[42:37] Speaker 12: in the dark after he set up for bow hunting
[42:41] Speaker 12: and then walk away. So he didn't really think a
[42:44] Speaker 12: whole lot about it other than it might have been
[42:46] Speaker 12: a deer. But after it became light and he sat
[42:49] Speaker 12: around for a while and got up and started looking around,
[42:52] Speaker 12: he found a couple of big footprints right near where
[42:54] Speaker 12: he was sitting. yeah it just came up must have
[43:00] Speaker 12: just looked at him and then turned around walked away
[43:02] Speaker 12: he was lucky because I hear there's a few missing
[43:05] Speaker 12: persons cases up the Malala River too do you.
[43:10] Speaker 2: Do you think that and I know some people refer
[43:13] Speaker 2: to that as missing 401 do you think that could
[43:15] Speaker 2: potentially be connected to Sasquatch in that area.
[43:21] Speaker 12: I would venture to say yes I mean what else
[43:25] Speaker 12: is going to take a human down and and disappear you.
[43:29] Speaker 5: And they're never found again. There's not much else out there.
[43:33] Speaker 2: Your wealth of knowledge about this area, the Pacific Northwest,
[43:37] Speaker 2: and thank you for hopping on and chatting about this.
[43:42] Speaker 2: Would you be able to send me an email at
[43:44] Speaker 2: BigfootSociety at gmail.com just so I, in case I ever
[43:47] Speaker 2: want to send another question to you, I could follow.
[43:50] Speaker 6: Up with you?
[43:52] Speaker 5: Yeah, no problem. I'll get that out to you.
[43:56] Speaker 2: Thank you for chatting tonight.
[43:59] Speaker 5: You're welcome. Bye-bye.
[44:00] Speaker 2: Here we go.
[44:00] Speaker 6: Hi there.
[44:01] Speaker 2: Is this gnome?
[44:02] Speaker 5: Oh, yes, it is. Awesome.
[44:05] Speaker 4: Awesome.
[44:06] Speaker 13: You know, have the people know my encounter and everything
[44:10] Speaker 13: like that.
[44:11] Speaker 6: Yes, sir.
[44:12] Speaker 2: Go right ahead.
[44:12] Speaker 4: All right.
[44:14] Speaker 13: So this was about last year. It was just coming out.
[44:18] Speaker 13: It was about fall time, I'd say.
[44:23] Speaker 4: And, uh, And I was, you know, taking a little
[44:26] Speaker 4: hike with my dog.
[44:28] Speaker 13: It was about, I'd say about somewhere at 8 to
[44:32] Speaker 13: 30 in the morning, I'd say.
[44:34] Speaker 4: I was walking out. I was following this trail. It
[44:39] Speaker 4: was at my grandma's at the moment. Following down this trail.
[44:45] Speaker 13: My grandma was on this property for about 50 years,
[44:49] Speaker 13: I'd say.
[44:49] Speaker 11: And.
[44:52] Speaker 14: This trail leads off into a, like a, a holler.
[44:59] Speaker 15: That's holler.
[45:00] Speaker 5: No, it goes on for miles at least.
[45:04] Speaker 13: And, uh, we were just walking with the dog and
[45:07] Speaker 13: I come across a, uh, you know, footprint, you know,
[45:12] Speaker 13: I didn't think really much of it.
[45:13] Speaker 4: I mean, I thought it was a big old boot print,
[45:16] Speaker 4: but you know, uh, I have the picture. I'll, I'll
[45:19] Speaker 4: definitely send it to your email.
[45:21] Speaker 5: Yeah, okay.
[45:23] Speaker 4: But I saw this footprint. I didn't think much of it, but,
[45:26] Speaker 4: you know, it was so defined. But it looked at
[45:31] Speaker 4: the boot at the same time. So, you know, I
[45:33] Speaker 4: didn't really think much of it.
[45:34] Speaker 13: So I continued walking down this trail. And, you know,
[45:41] Speaker 13: my dog just starts going crazy. It looks right up
[45:43] Speaker 13: the holler. It just, you know, there's a tree line
[45:47] Speaker 13: up there. Because on the trail, it breaks off into
[45:51] Speaker 13: the holler. And at the tree line, my dog just
[45:54] Speaker 13: started going crazy.
[45:55] Speaker 4: I don't know what it was.
[45:57] Speaker 13: But all I hear is my dog just going crazy
[46:00] Speaker 13: and nuts.
[46:01] Speaker 4: And then I hear one of the most horrid sounds
[46:06] Speaker 4: I think I've ever heard in my life. It was
[46:09] Speaker 4: like a low grumble. It was like a growl, you know. And.
[46:16] Speaker 4: Whenever I heard that, oh, man, my dog just went
[46:18] Speaker 4: to shivers. I froze up.
[46:20] Speaker 13: I mean, I didn't know what to do. I didn't
[46:22] Speaker 13: know what to, you know, think of this. So, you know,
[46:27] Speaker 13: I stood there for a little, about five minutes. You know,
[46:31] Speaker 13: I heard like a thump.
[46:34] Speaker 4: It was a huge, I'd say it was.
[46:36] Speaker 13: About 12-inch round rock that got thrown down from that holler,
[46:43] Speaker 13: that tree line.
[46:44] Speaker 4: And it was at least three feet.
[46:46] Speaker 13: Away from us, and then I hear another thump, and
[46:50] Speaker 13: another rock hits the ground, and it was like he
[46:52] Speaker 13: was trying to, you know, hit.
[46:54] Speaker 4: Us with the rocks, or maybe want.
[46:56] Speaker 13: Us to get out of there, so I get my dog,
[46:58] Speaker 13: and we start walking back, you know, following the trail
[47:01] Speaker 13: back to where we came, back to the house, and
[47:03] Speaker 13: then I remember hearing this another low growl on that
[47:06] Speaker 13: same tree line, but this time it was more ahead
[47:10] Speaker 13: of us, and this time it was more defined, like
[47:13] Speaker 13: he was more more lower in tone, but it was
[47:17] Speaker 13: way more louder. So, you know, I stood there again,
[47:23] Speaker 13: my dog is back to whining and I look up,
[47:28] Speaker 13: you know, cause the sun, you know, it's just now
[47:30] Speaker 13: breaching the tree line and everything. So I look up
[47:33] Speaker 13: and I can clearly see, I'd say it was a
[47:37] Speaker 13: huge arm reaching out from behind the tree. And what
[47:44] Speaker 13: I can see is that it grabbed a limb.
[47:46] Speaker 4: This limb is.
[47:48] Speaker 5: Good size, too.
[47:49] Speaker 4: I mean, I know that I couldn't break it.
[47:51] Speaker 13: And it grabs it in the middle, and it just
[47:55] Speaker 13: yanks it down. And it's made the loudest noise ever.
[47:59] Speaker 4: It was the loudest break in that branch ever.
[48:04] Speaker 13: And what it did with that branch is that it
[48:07] Speaker 13: literally just threw it down at us. and that's whenever
[48:12] Speaker 13: I just made a run for it. And I have
[48:15] Speaker 13: not been back to my, like I haven't, like I've
[48:17] Speaker 13: been back to my grandma's, but I've not been back
[48:20] Speaker 13: to that holler ever again. And I, uh, I asked
[48:23] Speaker 13: my grandma about it. She was like, you're, you're talking
[48:28] Speaker 13: about that black man. I was like, black man.
[48:32] Speaker 5: I was like, yeah.
[48:33] Speaker 13: Did you see stuff being thrown at you? You know, cause,
[48:39] Speaker 13: I'm guessing she's had an encounter and she was like,
[48:42] Speaker 13: the black man, that's what I call him.
[48:44] Speaker 4: I was like, okay. She said, she was, she's right now,
[48:48] Speaker 4: she's about 76.
[48:50] Speaker 13: She used, you know, whenever she was, you know, a
[48:54] Speaker 13: little bit younger, she said that she would walk those
[48:56] Speaker 13: trails and that she would get stuff thrown at her
[48:59] Speaker 13: as well.
[49:00] Speaker 4: Cause you know, my grandma rides horses, you.
[49:02] Speaker 13: Know, that's why she can't really do many of these
[49:05] Speaker 13: things because she says, that she had a huge limb
[49:10] Speaker 13: thrown at her and it spooked the horse and she
[49:14] Speaker 13: fell off and I think it was broke her, uh,
[49:17] Speaker 13: spleen or something like that. I'm not really too sure.
[49:21] Speaker 13: She says that she is not being back to that
[49:23] Speaker 13: holler ever again. She says that whatever lives in that
[49:27] Speaker 13: holler does not want anybody in there and does not
[49:30] Speaker 13: want anything to do with anybody in that holler. Um,
[49:36] Speaker 13: that's really all the encounter I had because like, I
[49:40] Speaker 13: knew that that was a Bigfoot. I mean, the sound
[49:43] Speaker 13: it made, like it literally, you know, I could feel
[49:45] Speaker 13: it shaking, you know, inside of my body. And it
[49:51] Speaker 13: was just a really interesting experience at the same time,
[49:55] Speaker 13: traumatic because I mean, I mean, I was scared. Um,
[50:01] Speaker 13: My grandma will talk about it every now and then.
[50:03] Speaker 13: She says she actually has an audio recording of this
[50:06] Speaker 13: low growl. I will definitely read everything that I have.
[50:11] Speaker 13: She says that this was caught later in the night.
[50:16] Speaker 13: This was 4, 3 in the morning. She says that
[50:20] Speaker 13: she woke up to numerous of those low growls as
[50:27] Speaker 13: if it was at least 30 yards away from the house.
[50:31] Speaker 4: She swears it was, she says that it was, you know.
[50:37] Speaker 13: Circling the house and out of here, you know, in Mississippi,
[50:41] Speaker 13: there's not that many, you know, Bigfoot sightings. But whenever
[50:48] Speaker 13: she told me this, I was absolutely shocked. I mean, not,
[50:52] Speaker 13: not even that dog wants to go back down there
[50:54] Speaker 13: on that holler. And it's one of those, uh, You know,
[50:57] Speaker 13: German Shepherd is what I have. You know, this dog
[50:59] Speaker 13: is pretty brave. This dog does not want to go
[51:02] Speaker 13: in there. And this is close to last year's Thanksgiving,
[51:10] Speaker 13: almost about the same time.
[51:12] Speaker 14: And, you know, this dog, you know, we just got it.
[51:16] Speaker 14: Wanted to go sniffing around the property. So it went throughout.
[51:21] Speaker 13: The property while, you know, we were at my grandma's
[51:23] Speaker 13: having Thanksgiving and everything. And, you know, I start, you know,
[51:29] Speaker 13: I hear the dog going off in the holler, you know.
[51:33] Speaker 13: So I kind of, you know, made myself down there.
[51:38] Speaker 13: You know, I just stood at the tree line looking down.
[51:42] Speaker 13: I couldn't see anything, but I still heard that dog barking.
[51:46] Speaker 4: So, you know, I manned up. You know, I made
[51:49] Speaker 4: my way down that trail just a small amount. And
[51:55] Speaker 4: There it.
[51:55] Speaker 14: Was, this eight to seven foot tall, brownish, dark brownish
[52:03] Speaker 14: to black, you know, furry man standing there with my
[52:09] Speaker 14: dog in its arms. And this thing just bolted down
[52:16] Speaker 14: this holler, following the trail forward.
[52:20] Speaker 13: And it kind of cut off into a little cave
[52:23] Speaker 13: way because there's an unmarked cave that my grandma has.
[52:28] Speaker 13: Us as kids, I mean, we used to go around
[52:31] Speaker 13: down there and play around for a little bit. And
[52:35] Speaker 13: this thing took that dog with it. And I have
[52:39] Speaker 13: never heard of that dog ever again. And I went
[52:43] Speaker 13: up there. My grandma was like, Grandma gets, hey, something.
[52:48] Speaker 13: She's like, well, I'm like, the black man has got
[52:51] Speaker 13: the dog. And I believe that this has got.
[52:57] Speaker 14: To be one of the most aggressive Bigfoots I think
[53:00] Speaker 14: I've ever heard of or ever encountered in my life.
[53:05] Speaker 4: Because this thing literally looked right at me in my eyes.
[53:09] Speaker 4: It let out, it was like a howl on us.
[53:11] Speaker 11: It was.
[53:13] Speaker 4: Like a, ooh. But way more lower. This thing had
[53:17] Speaker 4: a very low tone to it. And it just took off.
[53:22] Speaker 13: I'm talking about, it would have took me 50.
[53:26] Speaker 4: Steps to get where it was. And it only took
[53:28] Speaker 4: you at about 15.
[53:29] Speaker 14: And I've never heard of that dog again.
[53:35] Speaker 5: Shaggy Hair.
[53:35] Speaker 4: Shaggy Hair.
[53:37] Speaker 14: It had pretty good shaggy hair to it, and it
[53:40] Speaker 14: had a pretty bad smell to go along with that.
[53:44] Speaker 14: That smell ruined my appetite for at least two days
[53:48] Speaker 14: because it was just horrid. It smelled as if, you
[53:53] Speaker 14: know how roadkill smells, right? You know, very bad and
[53:56] Speaker 14: everything sits in the sun, rotten. That's what that thing
[53:59] Speaker 14: smelled like. It did not smell right. And the look
[54:04] Speaker 14: it gave me, it did not show no fear. But
[54:08] Speaker 14: I don't know why, you know, it could have probably
[54:11] Speaker 14: ran up to me and grabbed me and I would
[54:12] Speaker 14: have been done for.
[54:15] Speaker 5: Nice.
[54:16] Speaker 14: Whenever it turned to go running, like I'm talking about
[54:21] Speaker 14: its arms, but literally its arms were almost down to
[54:25] Speaker 14: like its calf muscle.
[54:27] Speaker 4: This thing was at least seven, eight foot tall. It
[54:31] Speaker 4: was an enormous one.
[54:32] Speaker 14: I'd say probably almost 1,000 pounds because that thing had
[54:36] Speaker 14: some girth to it. I really do truly believe that
[54:40] Speaker 14: it was a Bigfoot that I saw. I don't think
[54:43] Speaker 14: anybody can change my mind, but I will definitely send
[54:47] Speaker 14: you on your email the pictures and audio recording that
[54:51] Speaker 14: my grandma has.
[54:54] Speaker 2: All right. Thank you, Noam, for sharing.
[54:59] Speaker 4: Hi there, AKC.
[55:00] Speaker 2: This is Jeremiah from Bigfoot Society. It sounds like you
[55:03] Speaker 2: had some interesting things happen in Mississippi.
[55:07] Speaker 17: Yeah, when I was about 14, me, my cousin and
[55:13] Speaker 17: my mother were walking back from a big racetrack that
[55:18] Speaker 17: my uncles were building for car racing. And we got
[55:22] Speaker 17: muddy and we were in trouble. And my mother was
[55:25] Speaker 17: kind of whipping us all the way back home. And
[55:28] Speaker 17: I turned around and looked and my mom was standing
[55:31] Speaker 17: in the middle of the road, staring off at something
[55:33] Speaker 17: to the right of the road in like a big
[55:35] Speaker 17: bamboo patch. And when Danny and I turned and looked,
[55:41] Speaker 17: it was this big white, kind of white brownish animal.
[55:46] Speaker 17: We didn't know what it was standing there looking at
[55:48] Speaker 17: us in the middle of the road, probably less than
[55:51] Speaker 17: 50 yards from us. And like I said, I know
[55:55] Speaker 17: my mom was running and we all just ran back
[55:57] Speaker 17: to the house and White as a ghost and never
[56:00] Speaker 17: talked about it again after that.
[56:01] Speaker 15: Just scared us.
[56:04] Speaker 6: Wow.
[56:05] Speaker 2: What year was this?
[56:07] Speaker 15: This was probably, I'd say 1985, 86. Okay.
[56:14] Speaker 2: And was this by any like big nature areas or
[56:19] Speaker 2: anything like that?
[56:20] Speaker 17: This is a real, real remote country area in Midway, Mississippi.
[56:27] Speaker 17: And what we learned over the years, all of the
[56:32] Speaker 17: people out there had seen something like this, but just
[56:37] Speaker 17: never talked about it.
[56:39] Speaker 5: Really? Years and years.
[56:41] Speaker 17: Have passed, and we've met other family members and other
[56:47] Speaker 17: neighbors that had kids.
[56:49] Speaker 15: And when we told them our stories, they would turn.
[56:53] Speaker 6: White as a ghost.
[56:54] Speaker 15: And say man you know they would just tell us
[56:56] Speaker 15: the stories that they they saw as well so it's.
[56:59] Speaker 17: Something that's kind of a little folklore out there but
[57:03] Speaker 17: it's definitely you can feel the presence of something in
[57:07] Speaker 17: the woods i hunt out there and i still won't
[57:10] Speaker 17: go out there after dark and i'm 52.
[57:13] Speaker 2: Now oh wow so i'm not able to pull up
[57:16] Speaker 2: a map right now um is midway is that by
[57:20] Speaker 2: uh One of the state borders or where is that
[57:24] Speaker 2: exactly in the state?
[57:25] Speaker 15: It's up by Yazoo City, Mississippi.
[57:28] Speaker 17: And it's near, so it would be kind of off
[57:33] Speaker 17: Highway 55, but it would be Midway, Benton, Mississippi.
[57:39] Speaker 3: Gotcha.
[57:40] Speaker 2: Now, when you were talking to the other people that
[57:42] Speaker 2: had also seen things, did they describe it as having
[57:46] Speaker 2: like a similar color to what you saw?
[57:48] Speaker 6: Yep. Yep.
[57:50] Speaker 17: And one of the craziest stories, I went back probably
[57:55] Speaker 17: six or seven years ago and went to one of
[57:58] Speaker 17: my friend's house and he had bought a piece of
[58:01] Speaker 17: property that one of our other friends, one of our
[58:06] Speaker 17: family friends had owned.
[58:08] Speaker 15: For years and years and years.
[58:09] Speaker 17: And he had a house there burned down and he
[58:12] Speaker 17: had a trailer put on the property.
[58:14] Speaker 15: What you're going to rebuild his property.
[58:17] Speaker 17: And when I pulled up there, I mean, I hadn't
[58:19] Speaker 17: seen anybody in 15 years. And of course, I've never
[58:22] Speaker 17: told Randy or anybody about what we saw.
[58:25] Speaker 15: And I pulled up to his house and he called
[58:27] Speaker 15: me on the phone. He said, are you here? And
[58:28] Speaker 15: I said, yeah. And so he came out to the
[58:31] Speaker 15: truck where I was. It's kind of a little walk
[58:33] Speaker 15: to where the trailer was. And and he came out
[58:37] Speaker 15: with a gun and he was like, I'll come get you.
[58:40] Speaker 15: I didn't understand what was going on.
[58:42] Speaker 17: I was like, what's what do you what's what's wrong?
[58:45] Speaker 17: and he goes, man, I don't even know how to
[58:47] Speaker 17: tell you this, so we went inside the trailer, and
[58:50] Speaker 17: he said that he came home, he worked for a
[58:57] Speaker 17: lineman as far as repairing electricity lines, so he would
[59:01] Speaker 17: be gone for quite a bit, quite a time, you know,
[59:03] Speaker 17: repairing when storms and stuff happened, so he said he.
[59:07] Speaker 15: Came home real early one night, and when.
[59:10] Speaker 17: He pulled up to the house, he could see the trailer,
[59:13] Speaker 17: and his headlights flashed on something white, and it was
[59:17] Speaker 17: looking in the windows of the trailer where his family was.
[59:22] Speaker 15: And he said this one wasn't, he said it was
[59:25] Speaker 15: about six foot.
[59:26] Speaker 17: Wasn't very big, But he said he turned around and
[59:28] Speaker 17: looked at it, and he said it was something just.
[59:30] Speaker 15: Huge, hairy, kind of a brownish-white tent.
[59:34] Speaker 17: And this is 20 years later, but if you think
[59:37] Speaker 17: about it, we pulled it up on a map, and
[59:39] Speaker 17: we went from where I had our encounter when we
[59:42] Speaker 17: were kids. It's probably less than five or six miles
[59:46] Speaker 17: from where the crow flies, you know, from where we were.
[59:50] Speaker 17: So it's definitely something in the area, and I think
[59:54] Speaker 17: more people that have seen it than... than know about
[59:59] Speaker 17: because they just don't talk about it. But it's definitely
[1:00:02] Speaker 17: something out there. You can feel it in the woods
[1:00:05] Speaker 17: when you're out there hunting. Even people I've brought out
[1:00:09] Speaker 17: there that don't know anything about it, they come back
[1:00:12] Speaker 17: and say, man, I got a creepy feeling being in
[1:00:15] Speaker 17: these woods.
[1:00:17] Speaker 15: So just kind of an old folklore out there, but
[1:00:19] Speaker 15: I saw it myself. My mother saw it. My cousin
[1:00:22] Speaker 15: saw it.
[1:00:23] Speaker 2: That's amazing. When you saw it, in the middle of
[1:00:27] Speaker 2: the road, were you able to, do you remember any
[1:00:30] Speaker 2: details of the face at all?
[1:00:32] Speaker 17: Yeah, it was kind of a weird, it didn't, it
[1:00:35] Speaker 17: doesn't really match what a lot of people.
[1:00:39] Speaker 15: Kind of think of a, you know, I got, I
[1:00:42] Speaker 15: was 14 too.
[1:00:43] Speaker 17: So what I remember when it turned and looked at us,
[1:00:49] Speaker 17: it almost had ears that were almost looked like a,
[1:00:55] Speaker 17: like pointed ears, you know, that were like pointing up
[1:00:59] Speaker 17: in the air and the face didn't look like a
[1:01:03] Speaker 17: human face. It almost looked like a muzzle, like a,
[1:01:07] Speaker 17: like a dog. But this thing was, this thing was probably,
[1:01:15] Speaker 17: we went back and looked at it and it was
[1:01:18] Speaker 17: probably about seven to eight foot tall standing in the
[1:01:21] Speaker 17: bamboo where, where, We saw it. My dad and all
[1:01:25] Speaker 17: that went back and looked and they could see where
[1:01:28] Speaker 17: something was standing in the bamboo and it flattened it out.
[1:01:33] Speaker 15: They found white hairs everywhere.
[1:01:36] Speaker 2: What were the legs? Do you remember anything about the legs?
[1:01:39] Speaker 17: Couldn't see the legs. The legs were in the bamboo.
[1:01:43] Speaker 17: So it wasn't standing in the middle of the road.
[1:01:45] Speaker 17: We were in the middle of the road and it
[1:01:47] Speaker 17: was over off the side of the road. And there's
[1:01:50] Speaker 17: a creek that runs right beside the road. And there's
[1:01:53] Speaker 17: big bamboo patch that grows right up the side of
[1:01:57] Speaker 17: that creek.
[1:01:58] Speaker 15: And we could see it when we turned and looked.
[1:02:02] Speaker 17: The kind of the torso and the shoulders of the
[1:02:06] Speaker 17: animal was standing in the bamboo. And it turned and
[1:02:10] Speaker 17: like looked at us standing in the road. And we
[1:02:13] Speaker 17: didn't see it after that because we turned around and ran.
[1:02:15] Speaker 17: You know, we weren't looking crazy whenever your mom, your cousin,
[1:02:19] Speaker 17: all three of us saw it at the same exact time.
[1:02:22] Speaker 4: Absolutely.
[1:02:22] Speaker 2: I mean, it's just a really interesting description. It almost
[1:02:25] Speaker 2: sounds more like a canine creature than a Bigfoot creature.
[1:02:30] Speaker 5: I don't know. What do you think?
[1:02:31] Speaker 17: The coat of it looked like a canine creature to us.
[1:02:36] Speaker 17: And my mother described it the same way. And my
[1:02:39] Speaker 17: cousin described it the same way. But the hair was
[1:02:42] Speaker 17: kind of like brown, but like dirty ends. And the
[1:02:47] Speaker 17: other thing we remember, it smelled.
[1:02:50] Speaker 4: Like rotten eggs.
[1:02:54] Speaker 15: Like just something rotten. That's how close we were.
[1:02:59] Speaker 2: I'm almost, I'm wondering if maybe you didn't stumble upon
[1:03:05] Speaker 2: a dog man as well.
[1:03:06] Speaker 5: I don't know.
[1:03:07] Speaker 15: Well, it's all kind of folklore out there.
[1:03:11] Speaker 5: Okay.
[1:03:12] Speaker 17: And my grandmother told me about Patches of Woods. that
[1:03:18] Speaker 17: they would try to cut through to go to school
[1:03:21] Speaker 17: and go to the.
[1:03:22] Speaker 15: Stores and stuff. And this is a real, real remote
[1:03:24] Speaker 15: part of Mississippi.
[1:03:26] Speaker 17: And there were patches of woods that their parents and
[1:03:30] Speaker 17: grandparents forbid them to go in. Like, you can't go
[1:03:34] Speaker 17: across there. And whenever my grandmother, she would, they would
[1:03:39] Speaker 17: do it anyway. She said that whatever was in there
[1:03:42] Speaker 17: would always follow them and chase them. They could never
[1:03:45] Speaker 17: see it because it was thick. They just could see
[1:03:47] Speaker 17: the grass coming at them like something was moving through
[1:03:51] Speaker 17: the grass, but it would chase them out, chase.
[1:03:55] Speaker 5: Them out of the woods.
[1:03:56] Speaker 15: So it didn't make any noise. We don't remember any noise.
[1:03:59] Speaker 17: I don't remember any noise that it made other than
[1:04:03] Speaker 17: the grasses around it, but it was right at dusk,
[1:04:07] Speaker 17: and there was a sun kind of going down and
[1:04:11] Speaker 17: behind it, and the sun shining on it kind of
[1:04:15] Speaker 17: made it, kind of glowing, kind of red looking eyes, but,
[1:04:20] Speaker 17: but we, we.
[1:04:20] Speaker 15: All saw it.
[1:04:24] Speaker 2: It's an incredible story. Thank you for sharing, uh, what
[1:04:28] Speaker 2: you experienced and, and what you've kind of found by
[1:04:31] Speaker 2: doing some, some research as well in the area and,
[1:04:34] Speaker 2: and definitely, uh, keep us informed if you, if you
[1:04:37] Speaker 2: run into any other reports in that area, but, uh,
[1:04:40] Speaker 2: thank you for, for chatting AKC.
[1:04:42] Speaker 15: No problem, bud. I'll, I'll shoot you a little, uh, friend,
[1:04:44] Speaker 15: I'll shoot you a little DM.
[1:04:45] Speaker 3: Um, All right.
[1:04:47] Speaker 2: Thank you, sir. Appreciate that. Give this a try.
[1:04:50] Speaker 4: Hey, Bartholomew.
[1:04:51] Speaker 2: This is Jeremiah from Bigfoot Society. What do you have
[1:04:53] Speaker 2: to share, my friend?
[1:04:55] Speaker 11: So I have actually seen Bigfoot.
[1:05:00] Speaker 6: Okay.
[1:05:01] Speaker 11: So I was camping with the family, the wife, the kids.
[1:05:06] Speaker 11: We're out in the camper. It's like it was middle
[1:05:09] Speaker 11: of the night. It was maybe like 4 or 3 a.m.
[1:05:11] Speaker 15: I forgot. It was like a year ago.
[1:05:14] Speaker 11: And I hear something outside the door, so I wake up.
[1:05:18] Speaker 11: And I look outside, and I see something, and I
[1:05:20] Speaker 11: can't really make it out too well. So I crack
[1:05:25] Speaker 11: the door, and I see this tall figure, like nine
[1:05:32] Speaker 11: feet tall, maybe ten. I couldn't retell. I just know
[1:05:35] Speaker 11: he was really, really tall. And he looked like the
[1:05:40] Speaker 11: pictures of Bigfoot that I had seen, like a big
[1:05:43] Speaker 11: furry monster. So.
[1:05:47] Speaker 11: I saw him, and I just kind of froze. And
[1:05:49] Speaker 11: then he walked away, and I was just in shock.
[1:05:53] Speaker 11: So I closed the door, and I went back to bed.
[1:05:56] Speaker 11: And the next morning, I told my family they didn't
[1:05:59] Speaker 11: believe me, but I know I saw him. So, yeah,
[1:06:03] Speaker 11: that's what happened.
[1:06:06] Speaker 2: What area was that in, Bartholomew?
[1:06:10] Speaker 11: So I'm up in Pennsylvania, so the Appalachian Mountains. It
[1:06:12] Speaker 11: was near I forgot because we go camping a lot,
[1:06:16] Speaker 11: but it was about 30 minutes out of Bonn. I'm sorry,
[1:06:23] Speaker 11: out of.
[1:06:25] Speaker 11: I forget the town name. It was near Diplasia Mountains
[1:06:30] Speaker 11: in Pennsylvania.
[1:06:32] Speaker 2: Okay. Yeah, that must have been quite the thing to see.
[1:06:39] Speaker 2: You said around 3 to 4 a.m. Did you get
[1:06:41] Speaker 2: a good look at its face at all?
[1:06:43] Speaker 11: Yeah, it looked like.
[1:06:48] Speaker 5: It looked....
[1:06:51] Speaker 11: It was really wrinkly.
[1:06:53] Speaker 5: And it's like mouth.
[1:06:56] Speaker 11: The lines of its mouth just kind of dipped. Like
[1:07:00] Speaker 11: an old person's mouth. That looks kind of like a doll.
[1:07:03] Speaker 11: Like a wooden doll.
[1:07:03] Speaker 15: It looked like that.
[1:07:11] Speaker 2: Were you able to look at its eyes at all.
[1:07:15] Speaker 5: No, it was too dark.
[1:07:16] Speaker 11: I just saw the lines on his face, but his
[1:07:21] Speaker 11: eyes were dark.
[1:07:24] Speaker 5: Gotcha.
[1:07:25] Speaker 2: Interesting. Did you ever hear of any other sightings that
[1:07:28] Speaker 2: occurred in the same, I would guess you may be
[1:07:31] Speaker 2: in a campground?
[1:07:39] Speaker 11: No, because I didn't really pay attention.
[1:07:42] Speaker 5: I didn't really know.
[1:07:43] Speaker 11: I didn't really care about Bigfoot before I saw him.
[1:07:46] Speaker 11: And then when I told my family and they were like,
[1:07:50] Speaker 11: you're crazy. I kind of just forgot about it. But
[1:07:53] Speaker 11: then it's been bothering me these past few days. And
[1:07:56] Speaker 11: then I came across your live.
[1:07:57] Speaker 5: I don't know why.
[1:07:58] Speaker 11: I've just been having dreams about it. And so I
[1:08:01] Speaker 11: came across your live and thought I'd talk about it.
[1:08:06] Speaker 6: What are.
[1:08:07] Speaker 2: The dreams you're having, are they just replaying what happened
[1:08:10] Speaker 2: that night?
[1:08:12] Speaker 11: It's like I'm right there that night.
[1:08:17] Speaker 2: Is there any communication that's happening through those, you think?
[1:08:21] Speaker 2: Is anything trying to talk to you during those?
[1:08:26] Speaker 11: It seems like it gets closer every time, but it's
[1:08:28] Speaker 11: like it gets closer, but I still can't.
[1:08:31] Speaker 5: See it well.
[1:08:34] Speaker 3: Hmm.
[1:08:37] Speaker 2: It's very interesting. Well, I hope that hopefully those don't
[1:08:45] Speaker 2: continue for too long unless that's a way you'll be
[1:08:51] Speaker 2: able to get some answers. But yeah, dreams and Bigfoot
[1:08:54] Speaker 2: Sasquatch can be a very interesting things.
[1:08:56] Speaker 4: So.
[1:09:01] Speaker 2: Well thank you for for hopping on and sharing what
[1:09:04] Speaker 2: you've what you experienced thank.
[1:09:06] Speaker 11: You i've been meaning to get this on my chest
[1:09:07] Speaker 11: for someone that would actually you know kind of like
[1:09:09] Speaker 11: have an idea of it so thank.
[1:09:11] Speaker 2: You absolutely have a great great night Hey, Robert, this
[1:09:17] Speaker 2: is Jeremiah. Thanks for reaching out. What do you have
[1:09:20] Speaker 2: to share today, Robert?
[1:09:24] Speaker 8: I had a sighting in Nanaimo, BC. It was 2018. Nanaimo,
[1:09:33] Speaker 8: BC isn't a very big city. The part of town
[1:09:39] Speaker 8: that I lived in was actually an apartment complex um
[1:09:47] Speaker 8: that was fairly in a ways into town so like
[1:09:53] Speaker 8: the nearest forest would be probably the uh probably like
[1:09:58] Speaker 8: a mile away or so like heavy thick forest um
[1:10:04] Speaker 8: area or and they have a lot of little streams
[1:10:07] Speaker 8: going through this little town of Nanaimo it's like really
[1:10:09] Speaker 8: quaint but anyways One night I was walking back home
[1:10:14] Speaker 8: from a friend's place. It was really late. It was
[1:10:17] Speaker 8: like 2 a.m. And it was summertime. I remember that.
[1:10:23] Speaker 8: And the area that I walked up, it was on
[1:10:26] Speaker 8: 7th Avenue and Short area, if anybody knows that. Anyways,
[1:10:35] Speaker 8: when I walked up this street, there's a.
[1:10:39] Speaker 15: Deer trail.
[1:10:41] Speaker 8: That actually went through a person's yard and these deer would,
[1:10:45] Speaker 8: they would go through this trail and they would actually
[1:10:47] Speaker 8: go right onto the road. And this was three in
[1:10:51] Speaker 8: the morning. And it was a really wild sight to
[1:10:55] Speaker 8: see because as I was walking up, there was a
[1:10:58] Speaker 8: herd of deer. And I casually walked up around them
[1:11:06] Speaker 8: and one, a small one came up to me and
[1:11:10] Speaker 8: I was I was like really freaked out because I
[1:11:14] Speaker 8: had never been this close to a deer before and
[1:11:17] Speaker 8: I had never touched a deer. And this deer came
[1:11:20] Speaker 8: up to me and it was fairly small and I
[1:11:23] Speaker 8: pet its head and I felt its fur and I
[1:11:27] Speaker 8: never felt deer fur before in my life and it's
[1:11:31] Speaker 8: really coarse. I mean really coarse. And I stroked its
[1:11:36] Speaker 8: back and its head a couple times and I stepped
[1:11:39] Speaker 8: back And I looked at him or her and the
[1:11:44] Speaker 8: other deer, there was probably about four or five other
[1:11:46] Speaker 8: deer standing in the middle of the road. And I
[1:11:51] Speaker 8: just kind of stepped back in awe. And I was like, wow,
[1:11:54] Speaker 8: so cool. And I said, well, thank you. And then
[1:11:57] Speaker 8: I turned around and I walked up the hill to
[1:12:01] Speaker 8: my apartment. My apartment unit, I had a huge sliding
[1:12:09] Speaker 8: glass door that I left unlocked. And this was, like
[1:12:14] Speaker 8: I said, three in the morning, I just, I walked
[1:12:16] Speaker 8: down the street, Short Avenue. And this is, the area is,
[1:12:23] Speaker 8: it's a neighborhood, it's populated. And I walked up and
[1:12:27] Speaker 8: I would keep it unlocked. So I opened my sliding
[1:12:30] Speaker 8: glass door. This is where, this is where it just,
[1:12:35] Speaker 8: oh my gosh, my heart is pounding right now. So
[1:12:38] Speaker 8: I opened the sliding glass door and I go into
[1:12:42] Speaker 8: my living room and I close it behind me. And
[1:12:45] Speaker 8: I have slats for blinds. There were those slats and
[1:12:52] Speaker 8: they would move back and forth until they would stop
[1:12:56] Speaker 8: by themselves, right? And so I turned around and I
[1:13:00] Speaker 8: went into my kitchen and I turned the light on
[1:13:04] Speaker 8: and I started situating myself in my living room. I
[1:13:08] Speaker 8: was going to sit down and smoke a cigarette. And
[1:13:12] Speaker 8: oh my gosh. As soon as I sat down, I
[1:13:16] Speaker 8: was in the apartment for maybe two minutes. As soon
[1:13:19] Speaker 8: as I sat down, the sliding glass door was being pounded.
[1:13:26] Speaker 6: On so hard.
[1:13:29] Speaker 8: So hard. It sounded like it was going to smash.
[1:13:34] Speaker 8: I jumped up because it was like, three, four feet
[1:13:38] Speaker 8: in front of me. I jumped up and I kind
[1:13:42] Speaker 8: of got mad. I kind of got mad because where
[1:13:46] Speaker 8: I'd come from, there was somebody that was bothering me.
[1:13:48] Speaker 8: And I was wondering if like, well, did this person
[1:13:51] Speaker 8: follow me back and, uh, you don't want to start
[1:13:54] Speaker 8: trouble with me. And so I kind of got mad
[1:13:57] Speaker 8: and it just kept pounding. And I walked up to my, uh,
[1:14:02] Speaker 8: up to the slats and And I brushed him aside
[1:14:06] Speaker 8: so I could look outside. And oh my gosh, this guy,
[1:14:10] Speaker 8: this guy, this guy was standing there. And he had
[1:14:15] Speaker 8: the meanest looking face on his, look on his face.
[1:14:18] Speaker 8: He took up the whole, the whole width of my
[1:14:24] Speaker 8: sliding glass door, like five, six feet wide. And he
[1:14:29] Speaker 8: had to kind of stoop down. And he was, he
[1:14:32] Speaker 8: was looking at me. And he was pissed. I don't
[1:14:35] Speaker 8: know what he was mad at. But in that one
[1:14:40] Speaker 8: second that I scooped my slats and I seen that face,
[1:14:45] Speaker 8: my body had reacted so fast that my feet had
[1:14:52] Speaker 8: actually pushed me back into my kitchen hallway and I
[1:14:57] Speaker 8: landed on my ass. And I started crawling back like
[1:15:03] Speaker 8: a spider backwards and I couldn't take my eyes off
[1:15:06] Speaker 8: of those slats. And I kept looking at those slats.
[1:15:09] Speaker 8: The slats kept moving because when I scooped them aside,
[1:15:14] Speaker 8: the force of them coming back, they kept going back
[1:15:16] Speaker 8: and forth. And I kept going back. And as I
[1:15:21] Speaker 8: looked at the slats, I didn't see him anymore. But
[1:15:24] Speaker 8: I'm telling you, this guy was, he was huge and
[1:15:27] Speaker 8: he was pissed. I mean, I could just feel the rage.
[1:15:32] Speaker 8: I could feel the rage from him pounding on my
[1:15:35] Speaker 8: sliding glass window door and just the look, just the
[1:15:41] Speaker 8: look that.
[1:15:41] Speaker 5: He gave me.
[1:15:42] Speaker 8: And I have, I have, I think I know why.
[1:15:47] Speaker 8: I've heard and read about so many testimony about them
[1:15:56] Speaker 8: and Deere.
[1:15:57] Speaker 16: They.
[1:15:58] Speaker 8: deer is one of their main courses. And I don't
[1:16:04] Speaker 8: know if he got pissed from me touching that deer
[1:16:11] Speaker 8: because there was nothing else that I could think of
[1:16:13] Speaker 8: that would make him come into this complex. If you've
[1:16:18] Speaker 8: seen it, it's just unreal because it's populated. And Somebody
[1:16:26] Speaker 8: else had to have heard him pounding on my glass window,
[1:16:31] Speaker 8: glass door that night. But my sons weren't home and
[1:16:36] Speaker 8: I didn't bother asking anybody the next day. And to
[1:16:39] Speaker 8: be honest, I was traumatized by it. And I really
[1:16:46] Speaker 8: tried to forget about it for a while until I
[1:16:50] Speaker 8: could tell one of my close friends. And, you know,
[1:16:54] Speaker 8: even then they're like, Holy mackerel. But yeah, that's what
[1:17:03] Speaker 8: happened to me. And it freaked me out.
[1:17:05] Speaker 4: I appreciate you sharing.
[1:17:06] Speaker 2: I can tell it's a very traumatic experience for you.
[1:17:12] Speaker 2: It sounds like you did get a bit of a look.
[1:17:16] Speaker 2: Were you able to see any details of the face
[1:17:19] Speaker 2: at all?
[1:17:19] Speaker 5: It was.
[1:17:27] Speaker 8: Kind of your typical face that you see, that you've
[1:17:31] Speaker 8: seen drawings of, you see pictures of. I mean, I
[1:17:35] Speaker 8: know they're not all the same, but just that hairy,
[1:17:40] Speaker 8: you know, the hair. He's all hairy. He does have features.
[1:17:46] Speaker 8: He was so mad. He showed me teeth and his
[1:17:51] Speaker 8: big eyes.
[1:17:53] Speaker 5: And, yeah.
[1:17:55] Speaker 2: Yeah. Robert, I appreciate you talking about this. I can
[1:18:04] Speaker 2: tell it's hard for you to talk about, but I
[1:18:08] Speaker 2: appreciate you being able to bring us through the story.
[1:18:12] Speaker 2: Thank you for doing that.
[1:18:14] Speaker 8: For sure, for sure. And I really believe that if
[1:18:21] Speaker 8: you don't keep your windows covered at night, You're giving
[1:18:27] Speaker 8: them the chance to look in. They're in more places
[1:18:32] Speaker 8: than I believe a lot of people think they are.
[1:18:35] Speaker 15: I agree.
[1:18:37] Speaker 8: I believe that they're starting to venture into town further. Well,
[1:18:44] Speaker 8: I guess it's been going on for centuries, but it's
[1:18:46] Speaker 8: just ridiculous how... far he came into town I was
[1:18:53] Speaker 8: just mind blown by that.
[1:18:58] Speaker 2: Well my friend thank you for coming on the stage
[1:19:02] Speaker 2: and for sharing and please keep us in mind if
[1:19:07] Speaker 2: anything else happens feel free to reach out Oh, fantastic.
[1:19:11] Speaker 8: Yeah, thanks for having me, man.
[1:19:13] Speaker 15: Hello.
[1:19:13] Speaker 4: Hey there.
[1:19:15] Speaker 2: How's it going?
[1:19:16] Speaker 3: Good.
[1:19:16] Speaker 2: Well, yeah, go right ahead, Fred.
[1:19:19] Speaker 16: So I live in the Gold Coast in Australia, and
[1:19:25] Speaker 16: we have just on the border of New South Wales
[1:19:29] Speaker 16: and Queensland, like a volcano sort of area. There's like
[1:19:36] Speaker 16: a lot of extinct volcanoes there. and lots of valleys
[1:19:40] Speaker 16: and rainforest. And about only a 10-minute drive out of town,
[1:19:48] Speaker 16: like where all the beaches are, I had an encounter.
[1:19:53] Speaker 16: I didn't expect it to be so close to civilization,
[1:19:56] Speaker 16: this particular one, but I found out that it's actually
[1:20:02] Speaker 16: been quite a hotspot. And in fact, one of the
[1:20:04] Speaker 16: lead researchers here in Australia, you might have heard of him,
[1:20:08] Speaker 16: Dean Harrison, um you know he he's gone out and
[1:20:12] Speaker 16: um done it there i'm friends with a mate of
[1:20:14] Speaker 16: his on the uh on the uh uh message well
[1:20:18] Speaker 16: facebook so but i'll tell you a bit about it
[1:20:21] Speaker 16: so i was going up the back roads um where
[1:20:27] Speaker 16: there's few houses and it backs onto all that sort
[1:20:30] Speaker 16: of like nature and um i stopped in an area
[1:20:34] Speaker 16: was no coverage and i got out my car And
[1:20:38] Speaker 16: I was with my friend and we stopped there for
[1:20:42] Speaker 16: a few minutes and we're still on the road and
[1:20:47] Speaker 16: we hear this like crunching noises, like walking about just
[1:20:53] Speaker 16: off the road, like five meters off the road. It's
[1:20:57] Speaker 16: pitch black everywhere. and um now i've heard a kangaroo
[1:21:02] Speaker 16: hopping through the bush before um and that's the biggest
[1:21:06] Speaker 16: sort of animal that there is and this was much
[1:21:08] Speaker 16: bigger than that and not hopping it was walking so
[1:21:13] Speaker 16: i got to my friend well you know what what's
[1:21:15] Speaker 16: that like like i i know what a bigfoot is
[1:21:19] Speaker 16: um and yeah so we tried looking around for it
[1:21:24] Speaker 16: i didn't see anything and And after a few minutes,
[1:21:27] Speaker 16: I thought, oh, can't see it. We'll just, we'll go,
[1:21:32] Speaker 16: we'll go because it's not appearing. So we hop back
[1:21:35] Speaker 16: in the car, drive away. And as we're leaving, my
[1:21:39] Speaker 16: friend tells me that she actually saw it in my
[1:21:41] Speaker 16: high beams. And while I wasn't looking in that place,
[1:21:45] Speaker 16: I was like trying to look off the road.
[1:21:47] Speaker 2: And I asked her.
[1:21:49] Speaker 5: To describe it.
[1:21:51] Speaker 16: And she said that it looked like Well, she didn't
[1:21:55] Speaker 16: tell me immediately, but I tried to get an understanding
[1:21:59] Speaker 16: of what its brow looked like, whether she saw a face, height.
[1:22:04] Speaker 16: And she said it looked like bits of cloth on it.
[1:22:08] Speaker 16: And I thought, well, that's interesting. I might show her
[1:22:11] Speaker 16: a picture of an ancient human, a Neanderthal. And I
[1:22:16] Speaker 16: showed her that, and she says that's pretty much exactly
[1:22:18] Speaker 16: what it was. And I know that it doesn't really
[1:22:22] Speaker 16: count as Bigfoot, but I put Bigfoot in the category
[1:22:25] Speaker 16: of one of six creatures. You've got your little things,
[1:22:30] Speaker 16: your big things, supernatural, non-human-human-related hybrids, and stuff like that.
[1:22:41] Speaker 2: Oh, that's very interesting. I'm not overly familiar with Australia,
[1:22:46] Speaker 2: but wasn't there that video that came out a few
[1:22:48] Speaker 2: months ago Was that near Queensland where there was like
[1:22:52] Speaker 2: the tracks that were found and then they had eaten
[1:22:58] Speaker 2: half of a pig or something like that? I don't
[1:23:00] Speaker 2: know if you remember that.
[1:23:02] Speaker 16: I think that's over the border. If you go on
[1:23:05] Speaker 16: YouTube and you actually have a look at the Australian
[1:23:11] Speaker 16: Yowie research and you look for the thermal footage, It's
[1:23:18] Speaker 16: one of the more popular things coming from Australia. That
[1:23:22] Speaker 16: was only maybe 20 kilometers, 10 kilometers from where I was.
[1:23:28] Speaker 16: So the whole area is a huge hotspot.
[1:23:34] Speaker 2: That is fascinating. Thank you for sharing what you had experienced.
[1:23:38] Speaker 2: Thank you for coming up today.
[1:23:40] Speaker 16: You're welcome.
[1:23:40] Speaker 7: Oh, yeah, definitely. I'm sorry if you can't hear me correctly.
[1:23:44] Speaker 7: I don't have my headset. That's the only thing I
[1:23:46] Speaker 7: don't have.
[1:23:48] Speaker 2: No, you actually sound great. So you're from Western Mass?
[1:23:51] Speaker 7: No, I'm actually from Rhode Island.
[1:23:54] Speaker 2: Okay, I was going to say, you sound more like
[1:23:56] Speaker 2: Rhode Island. I used to live in Franklin County, Western Mass,
[1:24:01] Speaker 2: a small town called Northfield, but I had friends from
[1:24:03] Speaker 2: Rhode Island. So yeah, you went camping out in Western Mass?
[1:24:08] Speaker 7: Yes, I believe the town was called Barry, but it's
[1:24:11] Speaker 7: spelled Barry. It's spelled differently than what it says.
[1:24:15] Speaker 2: Very familiar with that area.
[1:24:17] Speaker 3: Yep.
[1:24:18] Speaker 7: So, um, this was October of 2019. Um, I had
[1:24:27] Speaker 7: gone up with my boyfriend at the time and two
[1:24:31] Speaker 7: of our friends and we went to the old, not
[1:24:34] Speaker 7: sure if you're familiar with this, but we went to
[1:24:37] Speaker 7: the old, um, Girl Scout camp.
[1:24:41] Speaker 2: Absolutely.
[1:24:41] Speaker 6: Yep.
[1:24:42] Speaker 5: Okay.
[1:24:42] Speaker 7: So we were camping there. So there's no electricity in
[1:24:45] Speaker 7: the cabins is outhouse. Like, so it's kind of, rugged
[1:24:50] Speaker 7: i never thought anything would want to come kind of
[1:24:52] Speaker 7: close to us just because there's so many there was
[1:24:55] Speaker 7: so many people there during the day um where we
[1:24:59] Speaker 7: were camping was uh in a different area than where
[1:25:03] Speaker 7: the festival was taking place we were closer to the
[1:25:05] Speaker 7: woods so we had to walk um i want to
[1:25:10] Speaker 7: say a mile a mile and a half from our
[1:25:13] Speaker 7: camp to maybe it was less it just seems a
[1:25:18] Speaker 7: lot more Um, but we had to walk, we went
[1:25:22] Speaker 7: to the pavilion for breakfast and then we walked from
[1:25:25] Speaker 7: there to the field where they were having the event. Um,
[1:25:29] Speaker 7: and then, okay, so the first night was fine. And so, um,
[1:25:38] Speaker 7: we went to, um, the cabin, um, Like I said,
[1:25:48] Speaker 7: no electricity or anything like that. It was a really
[1:25:51] Speaker 7: quiet night. The second night we were there. And I'm
[1:25:56] Speaker 7: one of them people that I have to go to
[1:25:58] Speaker 7: the bathroom in the middle of the night. So I
[1:25:59] Speaker 7: have to get up at like 3 or 4 in
[1:26:01] Speaker 7: the morning. But we had to walk down to the outhouses.
[1:26:04] Speaker 7: I don't know if you're familiar with this campground. We
[1:26:07] Speaker 7: were the closest cabin to them. But they're all outside.
[1:26:13] Speaker 7: And so I didn't see it. But, of course, I'm
[1:26:18] Speaker 7: in the middle of going to the bathroom, in the
[1:26:21] Speaker 7: middle of it, okay? So this makes it even worse.
[1:26:26] Speaker 7: And I hear this, like, guttural roar come from the woods.
[1:26:33] Speaker 13: And I mean, it was loud.
[1:26:36] Speaker 7: And I know that, like, it wasn't a wolf. So
[1:26:41] Speaker 7: I started sitting there thinking, okay, first off, what was that? Um,
[1:26:47] Speaker 7: because it doesn't sound like anything I've ever heard before. Um,
[1:26:55] Speaker 7: and I'm sitting there in my brain trying to rationalize
[1:27:00] Speaker 7: what could be all, all the more reason I have
[1:27:02] Speaker 7: to tell you this, I was frozen. So by time
[1:27:06] Speaker 7: the thoughts started coming through, um, My brain, I was,
[1:27:15] Speaker 7: I was, when I tell you I was frozen solid
[1:27:17] Speaker 7: for like three straight minutes. And then there was this
[1:27:20] Speaker 7: like instinct, like a natural instinct to run back to
[1:27:28] Speaker 7: the cabin I was in. It was like this realization
[1:27:30] Speaker 7: that if I stayed there and, you know, I was
[1:27:34] Speaker 7: there by myself, it could have, you know, I don't
[1:27:38] Speaker 7: know a lot about these creatures. What if something grabbed me?
[1:27:41] Speaker 7: Nobody would know because everyone's sleeping in a cabin up
[1:27:45] Speaker 7: the hill, not even remotely near me.
[1:27:49] Speaker 6: So I did just.
[1:27:50] Speaker 7: That, but I actually got to the vehicle, my ex-boyfriend's SUV.
[1:27:58] Speaker 7: As soon as I got to that, I jumped in
[1:28:00] Speaker 7: the SUV and I slept in there for the next, um,
[1:28:06] Speaker 7: it was either three or four in the morning. So
[1:28:08] Speaker 7: I slept there until nine and, um, Um, yeah, he
[1:28:13] Speaker 7: came and got me. He banged on the window. He goes,
[1:28:15] Speaker 7: what are you doing? Why are you sleeping in here?
[1:28:17] Speaker 7: I'm like, dude, you're never going to believe this. I
[1:28:19] Speaker 7: was so scared. I couldn't even go back up to
[1:28:21] Speaker 7: the cabin and the cabin was only like, maybe like
[1:28:25] Speaker 7: a hundred more feet from his SUV. Like I just,
[1:28:29] Speaker 7: I knew we were being, I knew I was being
[1:28:31] Speaker 7: watched at least. I don't know who else heard it there.
[1:28:34] Speaker 7: I never got a chance to really talk to anybody
[1:28:37] Speaker 7: because that day we had one more event and then
[1:28:40] Speaker 7: everybody left. But that was my experience hearing one.
[1:28:48] Speaker 4: That's wild.
[1:28:50] Speaker 7: I will say that these outhouses, they're outdoor bathrooms. I'm
[1:28:54] Speaker 7: not sure if you're aware of that, but they're not
[1:28:56] Speaker 7: inside rooms.
[1:28:57] Speaker 5: A building.
[1:28:57] Speaker 4: They're outside.
[1:28:58] Speaker 5: They're closed.
[1:28:59] Speaker 7: Everybody's got their own, but it's outside. So it was
[1:29:04] Speaker 7: dead silent too. Nothing chirping, no animals. I mean, we
[1:29:08] Speaker 7: were in the middle of the woods and that first
[1:29:10] Speaker 7: night we heard everything. We heard owls, all kinds of stuff.
[1:29:13] Speaker 7: That second night when that happened, like even right after
[1:29:17] Speaker 7: that happened, there was no noise at all. You could
[1:29:23] Speaker 7: hear a pin drop. 20 feet away like.
[1:29:26] Speaker 2: So the way that you're explaining it like describing it
[1:29:31] Speaker 2: does definitely you know um line up with ways other
[1:29:35] Speaker 2: people describe you know not being able to move for
[1:29:39] Speaker 2: a few minutes just being like frozen everything gets dead
[1:29:42] Speaker 2: quiet it's like yeah that's that sounds like a a
[1:29:46] Speaker 2: very interesting experience that you had thank you for sharing that.
[1:29:50] Speaker 7: Yeah absolutely um It didn't sound like it was being
[1:29:54] Speaker 7: very friendly. It sounded like it was rather upset that
[1:29:56] Speaker 7: we were there. Like, I can pick up on feelings.
[1:30:01] Speaker 7: I can pick up on energy. Super, super intuitive. And
[1:30:06] Speaker 7: I just follow. I trust myself. And it was really
[1:30:10] Speaker 7: hard to explain. And it was hard to explain it
[1:30:12] Speaker 7: to him. It was hard to explain it to other people.
[1:30:15] Speaker 7: Because I'm like, they're going to think I'm nuts.
[1:30:17] Speaker 3: He didn't.
[1:30:18] Speaker 7: He believes in him, so... Um, you know, this isn't
[1:30:22] Speaker 7: the first camp trip he took, but.
[1:30:27] Speaker 5: Yeah, so.
[1:30:29] Speaker 4: Absolutely.
[1:30:30] Speaker 2: Well, thank you for, for sharing what you experienced at the, uh,
[1:30:34] Speaker 2: the old girls, old, uh, girl camp in Barry, Massachusetts.
[1:30:38] Speaker 2: I've never been there, but I know exactly where you're
[1:30:40] Speaker 2: talking about. So that's pretty cool.
[1:30:42] Speaker 7: Yeah, definitely. Well, thanks for letting me share.
[1:30:45] Speaker 5: You got it.
[1:30:46] Speaker 2: Have a good one. Hi Dale, this is Jeremiah. I
[1:30:49] Speaker 2: saw your comment. It looks like you, you had an
[1:30:52] Speaker 2: interesting thing happen that you heard.
[1:30:55] Speaker 5: I did.
[1:30:55] Speaker 9: It was right around Roseburg. Everybody's familiar with Roseburg. If
[1:30:58] Speaker 9: you've been up in Oregon, just east a little bit
[1:31:02] Speaker 9: up in a clear cut. This was a clear cut
[1:31:05] Speaker 9: where I used to go up there. My neighbor showed
[1:31:06] Speaker 9: me the spot to go get wood. Good spot to
[1:31:09] Speaker 9: get madrone, good hardwood. Um, and I was up there
[1:31:14] Speaker 9: twice with my neighbor. And once I went up there
[1:31:17] Speaker 9: by myself, cause we'd have to load up both trucks
[1:31:19] Speaker 9: and I just wanted to load up a little bit
[1:31:21] Speaker 9: of wood for myself. But both times I was up
[1:31:23] Speaker 9: there with him before I was like, man, this place is,
[1:31:27] Speaker 9: I feel like I'm being watched. You know, everybody hears
[1:31:31] Speaker 9: people tell stories about how they feel like they're being watched.
[1:31:35] Speaker 9: And I don't think enough emphasis is put on the
[1:31:40] Speaker 9: level of creepiness that you feel when when you feel
[1:31:45] Speaker 9: like you're being watched. This went on for an hour.
[1:31:50] Speaker 9: I prepped the chainsaw, put it on the tailgate. Been
[1:31:53] Speaker 9: up here twice before, like I said.
[1:31:55] Speaker 5: And I.
[1:31:57] Speaker 9: Was just creeped out, staring at the tree line. I'm
[1:32:01] Speaker 9: in a clear cut, but I'm facing where the old
[1:32:04] Speaker 9: growth stands. I'm about 300 yards away. So there's cover
[1:32:09] Speaker 9: back up in there. I'm high up on an old
[1:32:13] Speaker 9: logging cut. So I'm top where the, if you're familiar
[1:32:16] Speaker 9: with logging, where a high line would sit top of
[1:32:19] Speaker 9: the hill. This is where all the logs get skidded
[1:32:21] Speaker 9: up to the top of. So there's no more, no
[1:32:25] Speaker 9: more roads going any higher dirt roads. Even there's no
[1:32:30] Speaker 9: more access. The terrain is you'd have to be on
[1:32:32] Speaker 9: all fours to climb up any higher in the tree
[1:32:35] Speaker 9: line area where I was. So, um, I finally like, okay,
[1:32:41] Speaker 9: I got to load up some wood. I got to
[1:32:42] Speaker 9: be productive here.
[1:32:43] Speaker 3: Okay.
[1:32:43] Speaker 1: Whatever.
[1:32:44] Speaker 9: Start cutting up the wood, throwing it in the truck.
[1:32:47] Speaker 9: And I get it loaded up pretty good. And I
[1:32:51] Speaker 9: end up pulling forward after that. So I'm up here
[1:32:54] Speaker 9: about two, two and a half hours at the most.
[1:32:58] Speaker 9: And I pull forward because there's a hairpin turn just
[1:33:02] Speaker 9: before they clear the tree line of the old growth.
[1:33:05] Speaker 9: And I get out. I turn my truck off. I'm
[1:33:07] Speaker 9: going to sit right here. And it is pin drop quiet,
[1:33:11] Speaker 9: like crazy quiet. And you can just, you could hear
[1:33:15] Speaker 9: anything in this canyon. And I'm just sitting there listening.
[1:33:20] Speaker 9: I am listening to hear anything. I'm like, something is
[1:33:23] Speaker 9: watching me. It just feels creepy. So I'm going to
[1:33:26] Speaker 9: sit here and I've got the patience. I'm by myself.
[1:33:29] Speaker 9: Nobody's waiting on me. You know, man, I sit there
[1:33:35] Speaker 9: and I can't hear anything for almost a good hour.
[1:33:40] Speaker 9: Talk about patience, man. I mean, this is how creeped
[1:33:42] Speaker 9: out I was. I was like, man, something just feel creepy. Anyway,
[1:33:47] Speaker 9: I'm sitting there forever. And at some point I hear,
[1:33:52] Speaker 9: I didn't see anything. And this is what's kind of,
[1:33:55] Speaker 9: it's hard to tell the story sometimes because man, I
[1:33:58] Speaker 9: didn't see anything. And you can always be debated. You know,
[1:34:02] Speaker 9: maybe there was people there. Maybe there was certainly wasn't
[1:34:04] Speaker 9: kids up there. I can tell you that, but yeah,
[1:34:08] Speaker 9: um high up in this ridge right in the tree
[1:34:11] Speaker 9: line not far into the tree line i heard what
[1:34:15] Speaker 9: could only be described as what you hear of the
[1:34:17] Speaker 9: samurai chatter and it was two of them and i
[1:34:22] Speaker 9: felt like they were younger and but they were both
[1:34:25] Speaker 9: talking like at the same time at each other um
[1:34:31] Speaker 9: I could mimic it, but it's always so hard to
[1:34:34] Speaker 9: do that. Here's the deal. It was so quiet. I
[1:34:38] Speaker 9: was close enough to where there's nobody else up here.
[1:34:41] Speaker 9: I could hear a car coming from, you know, a
[1:34:43] Speaker 9: truck coming up there to get wood or anything like
[1:34:44] Speaker 9: that from a long ways away. There's nobody up there,
[1:34:48] Speaker 9: let alone they have to come up my road. There's
[1:34:52] Speaker 9: nobody up in that tree line. There's no purpose up there.
[1:34:56] Speaker 9: And on top of it being terrain wise, extremely difficult.
[1:35:00] Speaker 9: And if all you're going to do, let's say, you know,
[1:35:02] Speaker 9: prankster wise, cause I'm, I have to rationalize how possible
[1:35:08] Speaker 9: is it, you know, for, you know, what kind of
[1:35:10] Speaker 9: a prank is that? You know what I mean? And
[1:35:13] Speaker 9: to be up in there, but, um, I legit heard too.
[1:35:18] Speaker 9: And it was brief, but it was enough to where,
[1:35:21] Speaker 9: and I was close enough and it was quiet enough
[1:35:23] Speaker 9: to where it sounded very Russian. Which I've heard that before.
[1:35:29] Speaker 9: I was pretty new to it then. So I'd recently
[1:35:33] Speaker 9: had learned about language there, uh, speaking somewhat Russian and
[1:35:39] Speaker 9: samurai chatter and stuff like that. And I thought that
[1:35:42] Speaker 9: that was, um, I honestly, when I heard it, the
[1:35:46] Speaker 9: first thing I did was just look, I was like,
[1:35:49] Speaker 9: there's no kids up there. And I was just like shocked.
[1:35:53] Speaker 9: It sounded like younger kids. Two voices close enough to
[1:35:58] Speaker 9: where I could tell it wasn't English. It sounded really
[1:36:01] Speaker 9: close to Russian. There was two of them talking over
[1:36:04] Speaker 9: each other, jabbering really, really fast, really fast talk, too.
[1:36:08] Speaker 9: It's hard to say that that's definitive. In my mind,
[1:36:11] Speaker 9: I know what I heard. I know there wasn't kids
[1:36:13] Speaker 9: up there for me. OK, for anybody else. It could
[1:36:16] Speaker 9: have been anybody could think kids up there could have
[1:36:18] Speaker 9: been something. But I'm just saying, you know what? I've
[1:36:21] Speaker 9: been up there several times before. It's not easy to
[1:36:24] Speaker 9: get up there. And what I heard was, it was
[1:36:28] Speaker 9: a language. I was close enough to hear a language.
[1:36:32] Speaker 9: And I find that more fascinating. I don't think there's
[1:36:35] Speaker 9: a lot of weight given to hearing something, not seeing it.
[1:36:46] Speaker 9: You see something, you're always going to say to yourself,
[1:36:48] Speaker 9: now what the heck was that? You're always going to
[1:36:51] Speaker 9: scratch your head. I saw something dark. I saw something moving.
[1:36:53] Speaker 9: I saw something tall, but it was behind trees in
[1:36:55] Speaker 9: the bushes. A lot of people have had that experience.
[1:37:01] Speaker 9: But I think it's even weirder, if you think about it,
[1:37:05] Speaker 9: to have heard something talking and you're close enough to
[1:37:09] Speaker 9: it to know it's not English, 100%. It sounds Russian.
[1:37:14] Speaker 9: There's two of them.
[1:37:17] Speaker 5: And I don't know.
[1:37:21] Speaker 9: I don't know what it was, but to be honest
[1:37:23] Speaker 9: with you, at the end of the day, yeah.
[1:37:27] Speaker 2: And at the end of the day, it's, it's another,
[1:37:29] Speaker 2: you know, piece of data to put in the, the
[1:37:34] Speaker 2: big whole data set that we're trying to use to
[1:37:37] Speaker 2: figure things out. And would you say it was close? Like,
[1:37:40] Speaker 2: was that the closest town to where you were at
[1:37:42] Speaker 2: was Roseburg or was there another one?
[1:37:45] Speaker 9: Roseburg? It was past. I, I, I have, I can
[1:37:52] Speaker 9: look on Google maps and kind of zoom in on
[1:37:55] Speaker 9: the clear cut area. I've done it several times since then,
[1:37:57] Speaker 9: just to kind of remember where it was. It is
[1:38:00] Speaker 9: straight east of Sutherland off of I-5. And there's a,
[1:38:10] Speaker 9: I'd have to refresh my memory on the sign. It's
[1:38:14] Speaker 9: like a camp up there. Um, but I could, I
[1:38:17] Speaker 9: could go right back to the, uh, drop a pin location.
[1:38:21] Speaker 9: I could nail that location. Exactly. And, uh, and it's
[1:38:25] Speaker 9: right off the river, you know, they say they like
[1:38:27] Speaker 9: to stick close to the river. So it's right off
[1:38:28] Speaker 9: of the.
[1:38:29] Speaker 6: Oh, absolutely.
[1:38:30] Speaker 9: Yeah is it the umpqua that's right there.
[1:38:32] Speaker 2: Um i believe that's a national forest in that area yeah.
[1:38:37] Speaker 9: Yeah um and tons of elk so as far as
[1:38:41] Speaker 9: you know uh plenty of food and stuff like that
[1:38:43] Speaker 9: there's water there's elk lots of cover i mean there
[1:38:47] Speaker 9: this is deep in the woods um As soon as
[1:38:51] Speaker 9: you get off I-5, out of Roseburg, heading towards the coast,
[1:38:55] Speaker 9: you know, the sky's the limit on how many miles
[1:38:57] Speaker 9: and miles of dirt road and trees you can find
[1:38:59] Speaker 9: up in Oregon. Beautiful country, too.
[1:39:01] Speaker 2: Thank you for coming on, sharing what you experienced. It's
[1:39:04] Speaker 2: a really weird, weird thing, and it may help someone
[1:39:09] Speaker 2: else when they hear this, so thank you so much
[1:39:11] Speaker 2: for sharing.
[1:39:11] Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, man. Thanks for letting me tell your story.
