[1:14] Speaker 2: Well. I live in Laport, Texas, and I run a
[1:17] Speaker 2: dear lease of thirteen hundred acres, and me and some
[1:21] Speaker 2: buddies and our wives showed up as a campground one
[1:24] Speaker 2: day and I was gonna go set out some cameras,
[1:28] Speaker 2: you know, just to catch some halls or something like that.
[1:30] Speaker 2: Pigles going on, and they're like, now we're gonna set
[1:34] Speaker 2: up our campground and get our stuff going. So I said,
[1:39] Speaker 2: all right, well, I'm gonna go set my cameras up
[1:41] Speaker 2: that way I can see maybe, you know, kill some hogs.
[1:44] Speaker 2: That night. At that time, I had a fall with her,
[1:48] Speaker 2: and I was on my way down the pipeline and
[1:52] Speaker 2: there's no twigs, no branches, no nothing on the pipeline.
[1:56] Speaker 2: And I was going down on my right hand side.
[2:00] Speaker 2: I can hear just branches breaking, and I would stop
[2:06] Speaker 2: and I wouldn't hear the branches breaking no more. And
[2:11] Speaker 2: I would look over and everything and nothing, and I'd
[2:13] Speaker 2: take off again. I couldn't hear branch like something was
[2:16] Speaker 2: following me down the pipeline. At the time, I had
[2:20] Speaker 2: a forty caliber pistol with a tacticle light on it.
[2:24] Speaker 2: I got down about half a mile down the pipeline
[2:27] Speaker 2: and it just had me smook. And I stopped, and
[2:32] Speaker 2: I drew my pistol, turned the tacle light on, and
[2:36] Speaker 2: all I saw was shoe eyes and anywhere from eight
[2:42] Speaker 2: to maybe ten foot tall, and the pipeline is eighty
[2:47] Speaker 2: foot wide or eighty yards wide. I'm sorry, And standing
[2:52] Speaker 2: right there, you can see the whole thing, the hair,
[2:58] Speaker 2: the arms, the face, everything, Thank goodness. And I prosed,
[3:09] Speaker 2: and I'm an avid hunter. I've been hunting all my life.
[3:13] Speaker 2: And all I did was I gunned my four wheeler
[3:16] Speaker 2: as fast as I could and kept on going straight
[3:19] Speaker 2: and everything else, and I could still hear the bragers
[3:21] Speaker 2: breaking through the out the whole woods I took off
[3:26] Speaker 2: and everything else. And then I stopped again and I
[3:28] Speaker 2: shined my I drew my pistol again, shine my light again.
[3:32] Speaker 2: There it was again, and I unloaded my pistol and
[3:39] Speaker 2: I probably hit every pine tree.
[3:42] Speaker 1: But.
[3:44] Speaker 2: I could see him. It was there, and like they said,
[3:53] Speaker 2: it's not an epe. It looked like a human, but
[3:59] Speaker 2: has just the facial features of a man, but.
[4:04] Speaker 1: Huge.
[4:07] Speaker 2: He would be trying to hurt me or I don't
[4:11] Speaker 2: know what he was or anything else, but he just
[4:13] Speaker 2: sat there on Saturday at eighty yards at least. But
[4:23] Speaker 2: I mean I jumped back on. I didn't even put
[4:26] Speaker 2: my cameras down everything. So I jumped on my fore
[4:28] Speaker 2: alert and I hauled that back to the campground. And
[4:31] Speaker 2: when I got back, my wife and everything and my buddies,
[4:34] Speaker 2: they all looked at me and they said I was
[4:36] Speaker 2: white as a ghost and I'm just standing and they
[4:43] Speaker 2: were like, what what what happened? I didn't want to
[4:45] Speaker 2: tell him. I told my wife because I didn't think
[4:50] Speaker 2: I thought they would have thought I was stupid. You know,
[4:55] Speaker 2: this thing was huge, and this is in Saratoga, Texas,
[5:02] Speaker 2: and this was back in two thousand and five six
[5:09] Speaker 2: something like that. They had a signed back in seven
[5:17] Speaker 2: eighty seven off of Road seven eighty seven. I think
[5:19] Speaker 2: it was.
[5:24] Speaker 1: That is that's such an active area that's over there
[5:28] Speaker 1: by the big thicket.
[5:29] Speaker 2: Yeah, it is right there in the big thicket the woods. Yes, sir,
[5:34] Speaker 2: this thing was huge. I mean, hey, brother, I got
[5:39] Speaker 2: big guns. I mean I got big guns, and I
[5:42] Speaker 2: ain't never been scared that much. When I turned around,
[5:46] Speaker 2: I pulled my pistol and I shine out tackle or
[5:48] Speaker 2: light on him everything else. That thing was big.
[5:52] Speaker 1: Wow, how tall would you would you estimate again.
[5:58] Speaker 2: At least eight maybe ten foot tall. I mean I'm
[6:02] Speaker 2: six foot And when I shined my light on him
[6:07] Speaker 2: and his I mean I with my light on my
[6:10] Speaker 2: pistol and everything else, I see the whole body. He
[6:13] Speaker 2: had his arms spread out hold on two trees.
[6:20] Speaker 1: So he's just holding on to trees. Was he doing
[6:23] Speaker 1: was he like swaying back and forth or he was
[6:25] Speaker 1: standing there his.
[6:27] Speaker 2: Arms spread out, like hold on to the two trees
[6:29] Speaker 2: like you know, like if you would hold on to
[6:32] Speaker 2: your fist post, you know, and just looking at me.
[6:36] Speaker 2: But when I took off of my full wheeler, he
[6:39] Speaker 2: was crashing through the that's I mean, you know how
[6:42] Speaker 2: light or full wheeler is and everything else. He was
[6:45] Speaker 2: just crashing through the woods like he was following me. Why,
[6:48] Speaker 2: I have no idea. And then when I fired, and
[6:53] Speaker 2: then when I fired my pistol, I got a thirty
[6:57] Speaker 2: round clip and never hit them, never hit them, nothing,
[7:05] Speaker 2: one thing. And then the last time before I made
[7:07] Speaker 2: it too back to the campground, I looked back and
[7:10] Speaker 2: he was standing right there in the middle of the
[7:11] Speaker 2: pipeline and all he left was a little room. And
[7:16] Speaker 2: that was it. We went back the next morning. And
[7:22] Speaker 2: I'm not a I'm not a big foot hunter. I
[7:25] Speaker 2: believe them. I know they're out there. And we went
[7:29] Speaker 2: out there. We found a fourteen at least of fourteen
[7:32] Speaker 2: fourteen fifteen fourteen inch track in the middle of our
[7:36] Speaker 2: pipeline in the MUDs. And my buddies didn't believe me.
[7:43] Speaker 2: My wife didn't believe me. But when I showed up,
[7:45] Speaker 2: like I said back in the campground, they said I
[7:47] Speaker 2: was white as it goes. And the next morning when
[7:49] Speaker 2: we went out there, there was a track and you
[7:52] Speaker 2: see it crossing the whole pipeline.
[8:02] Speaker 1: Could you see details like eye color? I know you
[8:05] Speaker 1: said it was like eighty yards away?
[8:07] Speaker 2: Uh huh? Now all us ally was just I sign, Okay,
[8:14] Speaker 2: I signed. But you could see the body. The body
[8:17] Speaker 2: was just black and brown. I mean what it would
[8:20] Speaker 2: look black and brown to me with my pistol light,
[8:24] Speaker 2: you know, yeah?
[8:27] Speaker 1: Absolutely? Would you say it was all color covered with hair?
[8:31] Speaker 2: Oh? Yeah, definitely. I mean from head to toe you
[8:36] Speaker 2: could see the arms where he was holding onto both
[8:40] Speaker 2: trees to left, hair was hanging down off his arms.
[8:49] Speaker 1: How long was that hair? Would you estimate?
[8:52] Speaker 2: Oh? About eight inches? Maybe tenis? I don't know it
[8:57] Speaker 2: was long arm, you know, I mean about it. If
[9:00] Speaker 2: you're holding your arm out left and right and holding
[9:04] Speaker 2: on something, I would have to say that it was
[9:07] Speaker 2: about maybe six eight inches at the modest. I many,
[9:13] Speaker 2: I'm telling you. When I see that, I mean, what
[9:15] Speaker 2: are you expecting to do? Sit there and take measurement?
[9:19] Speaker 1: No, I get it, I get it. It's funny. It
[9:21] Speaker 1: is funny though, how we we? Yeah, you're just like
[9:25] Speaker 1: this is crazy. I get it.
[9:27] Speaker 2: No, I mean, what do you expect when you're out
[9:29] Speaker 2: there in the middle of the night and your thing
[9:31] Speaker 2: is and you see something like that. I mean normally, yeah,
[9:34] Speaker 2: I see hogs, I see bobcats, I see cougars, I
[9:37] Speaker 2: see you know, deer or something like that. But then
[9:40] Speaker 2: when you hear something crashing through the woods and you're
[9:46] Speaker 2: on your pet with her, and you know you're not
[9:47] Speaker 2: running over limbs or nothing like that in your thing,
[9:49] Speaker 2: and all of a sudden you look over and there's
[9:53] Speaker 2: this being whatever, I mean, whatever it is, you know,
[9:58] Speaker 2: standing there. I mean, like I said, I stood up
[10:01] Speaker 2: on my four wheeler on the pegs on my four
[10:03] Speaker 2: wheeler and I'm six foot tall and this thing was
[10:07] Speaker 2: still I had to aid my pistol up with the
[10:11] Speaker 2: light and seen his eyes and he just looked at me,
[10:18] Speaker 2: you know, I mean, didn't give me no threat or
[10:21] Speaker 2: nothing like that, but scared me and everything else. I mean,
[10:24] Speaker 2: that's not what I want to see in the woods
[10:25] Speaker 2: when I'm hunting. I've owned this deer least for forty
[10:28] Speaker 2: five years. I have never seen anything like that.
[10:37] Speaker 1: Have you been back to that deer least or oh yeah, I.
[10:41] Speaker 2: Run the deer leavest Okay, So I mean I'm an
[10:44] Speaker 2: added like this year, we haven't seen any deer at all.
[10:50] Speaker 2: My hunters I own, Like I said, I owned thirteen
[10:52] Speaker 2: hundred acres, and the deers they be killing or small
[10:57] Speaker 2: deer usually have big dear And most of the years
[11:01] Speaker 2: we have a pair of cougars panthers wherever they want
[11:06] Speaker 2: to call them down here in Texas come through every
[11:08] Speaker 2: five years, and when they're around, we don't see them.
[11:11] Speaker 2: But that year when I see that, we didn't see nothing.
[11:16] Speaker 2: I mean, we didn't see a squirrel, we didn't see
[11:19] Speaker 2: a bird, we didn't see nothing. And then all of
[11:23] Speaker 2: a sudden this year, I'm like, okay, this happened that
[11:27] Speaker 2: many years ago, and I'm thinking it'd be back around
[11:31] Speaker 2: the BFR.
[11:33] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah.
[11:35] Speaker 2: And let them know about this because I mean, dude,
[11:40] Speaker 2: for at least a fourteen in print that some gun
[11:44] Speaker 2: had to weigh about one thousand pounds eight hundred to
[11:50] Speaker 2: be at least nine foot ten foot tall. I mean
[11:55] Speaker 2: that thing. That thing was huge.
[11:59] Speaker 1: Did they have to talk to you about it? Do?
[12:02] Speaker 2: What's her?
[12:04] Speaker 1: Did they have someone talk to you about that?
[12:07] Speaker 2: They did? And I told him, you know, hey, you
[12:11] Speaker 2: know I got ADVID hunters. I go, uh, they pay
[12:14] Speaker 2: me to hunt on this land and everything else, and
[12:17] Speaker 2: they wanted to come out there and do investigation and
[12:19] Speaker 2: everything else and stuff Like I told him myself, I
[12:21] Speaker 2: can't have y'all interrupting my hunting deal.
[12:24] Speaker 1: You know.
[12:26] Speaker 2: I mean that that's my income. Yeah, but you know
[12:30] Speaker 2: I understand that not Hey, I'm just hoping that maybe
[12:35] Speaker 2: it's a migration deal that he got going through there.
[12:38] Speaker 2: Maybe and maybe I'll see it again, and it would
[12:44] Speaker 2: be nice, dude, just to kind of communicate, because I mean,
[12:49] Speaker 2: it didn't offer a threat, but it's good the shit
[12:54] Speaker 2: out of me. And then now I think about it
[12:55] Speaker 2: everything else. I was like, man, why did I shoot
[12:58] Speaker 2: at him?
[13:00] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just one of those things you don't know
[13:05] Speaker 1: how you're going to react until you get there in
[13:07] Speaker 1: the in the moment, you know, and I oh, yeah.
[13:11] Speaker 2: I mean you see, it's about eight ten foot something
[13:15] Speaker 2: that you don't know what they're staring at you, and
[13:19] Speaker 2: you're armed and everything else. I mean yeah, absolutely, honestly, Yeah,
[13:26] Speaker 2: did I want to kill it? No? I did not.
[13:29] Speaker 2: But I didn't know what my life was going to
[13:32] Speaker 2: be about, you know,
