For more than 20 years, Mandy has explored the wilderness alone — climbing mountains, camping deep in remote forests, and documenting the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Then she entered the Gifford Pinchot. In this episode, Mandy shares the moments that changed everything: • Whoops echoing across isolated lakes • Massive tree structures hidden in the forest • A clearing surrounded by broken timber • The smell of wet dogs in the dark woods • A violent knock near her trail • Something rocking her truck at 1:30 AM near Mount St. Helens From Mount Shasta to Ape Cave, this conversation dives deep into some of the most active Bigfoot territory in North America through the eyes of an experienced solo hiker who knows the outdoors intimately. Episode 1118 is one of the most immersive wilderness encounter interviews yet. ## Transcript

[0:00] Speaker 1: There was definitely clearing there, but there were broken trees
[0:03] Speaker 1: almost in a half circle around this whole area, so
[0:07] Speaker 1: it's pretty deliberate. It felt like it was like, Okay,
[0:09] Speaker 1: this is like a spot, right, like something is going on. Well,
[0:12] Speaker 1: when I was down there, I heard whooping in the woods. Yeah,
[0:17] Speaker 1: and I was just like, okay, that's creepy. Like I'm
[0:20] Speaker 1: a couple miles from ray truck. I'm gonna get back
[0:22] Speaker 1: to the truck. Start walking back to the truck, and
[0:24] Speaker 1: I got it. I'm starting to shake. This is crazy.
[0:26] Speaker 1: I think this would affect me like this.
[0:28] Speaker 2: You're listening to Big Flat Society, and I'm Jeremiah Byron.
[0:31] Speaker 2: In this show, we go beyond the campfire stories to
[0:33] Speaker 2: bring you first hand encounters from people who say they've
[0:36] Speaker 2: seen something impossible. From backwoods trails and remote mountain haulers
[0:41] Speaker 2: to quiet farms and crowded highways. The stories come from everywhere,
[0:45] Speaker 2: and each one leaves us with more questions than answers.
[0:49] Speaker 2: These are the voices of the people who've lived it.
[0:52] Speaker 2: To settle in, because today you'll hear another account that
[0:55] Speaker 2: just might change the way you see the woods forever.
[0:58] Speaker 2: So stay with us, all right, because Society. Welcome back
[1:01] Speaker 2: to another episode. We got the privilege of talking to
[1:04] Speaker 2: Mandy today. Mandy is a listener of the show and
[1:07] Speaker 2: also an individual that likes to get out there in
[1:11] Speaker 2: the Pacific Northwest in other areas and is a solo hiker,
[1:16] Speaker 2: and we'll definitely be talking about that today and Mandy's
[1:19] Speaker 2: had some really interesting things happen when out there solo hiking,
[1:24] Speaker 2: as you can imagine. But welcome to the show, Mandy.
[1:26] Speaker 2: How are you doing today?
[1:27] Speaker 1: Thank you, Thank you for having me.
[1:29] Speaker 3: Jeremiah.
[1:29] Speaker 1: It's so cool to see you and be here after
[1:32] Speaker 1: listening to so many different people's stories and such, so
[1:34] Speaker 1: this is a total treat for me.
[1:36] Speaker 3: So I'm good, Thank you, thank you.
[1:38] Speaker 2: I appreciate that. I appreciate that. And just to remind you, guys,
[1:42] Speaker 2: if you're listening to this on the let's say Spotify
[1:45] Speaker 2: or Apple podcasts, we're trying to do as many video
[1:49] Speaker 2: podcasts as we can over on YouTube. And we actually
[1:51] Speaker 2: just start a rumble page as well, because you never
[1:55] Speaker 2: know with YouTube now, so we're doing a little backup there.
[1:58] Speaker 2: But this is going to be a video podcast, guys,
[2:01] Speaker 2: So if you want to see what our mugs look
[2:04] Speaker 2: like you can check us out over on those two channels.
[2:09] Speaker 2: But Mandy, let's get right into it. Are there any
[2:11] Speaker 2: other things the listeners would need to know about you
[2:14] Speaker 2: for context before we start chatting?
[2:16] Speaker 1: Well, I mean maybe for context just the solo hiker
[2:19] Speaker 1: thing I decided to start. I have an Instagram and
[2:22] Speaker 1: a YouTube, but I started that because my mom can't
[2:26] Speaker 1: get to these areas that I like to get to.
[2:28] Speaker 1: And I've been solo hiking for about twenty two years
[2:31] Speaker 1: now for you know, like often once every couple of weeks,
[2:36] Speaker 1: hopefully during like every week and after work. So I've
[2:40] Speaker 1: been doing that for about twenty two years. And I
[2:42] Speaker 1: started it for my mom so she can see all
[2:44] Speaker 1: these awesome places that I get to visit. And then
[2:46] Speaker 1: it kind of just snowballed from there. And I have
[2:49] Speaker 1: a lot of people that really really enjoy just seeing
[2:52] Speaker 1: waterfalls and mountains and lakes and such. And I don't
[2:55] Speaker 1: speak in my videos. I'm not in my videos. It's
[2:59] Speaker 1: solely just to show people, Okay, it's beautiful area.
[3:02] Speaker 3: And I don't even actually tell people where I'm at.
[3:04] Speaker 1: So yeah, just so as a caveat if somebody is
[3:08] Speaker 1: looking into my videos and want something like I'm gonna
[3:10] Speaker 1: follow this check around and see what she does for
[3:12] Speaker 1: camping or hiking. I don't talk in my videos. They're
[3:15] Speaker 1: kind of boring. They're really just about nature altogether.
[3:20] Speaker 2: That is a cool reason to do the channel. I
[3:23] Speaker 2: know a few people that do that, and I mean,
[3:25] Speaker 2: the hats off to you. So that you can provide
[3:27] Speaker 2: something like that for your mother, that's that's really cool.
[3:29] Speaker 2: And I'm sure you're helping out so many other people
[3:33] Speaker 2: that you'll never know how many how many people you're
[3:35] Speaker 2: helping out with that.
[3:36] Speaker 3: That trade, I hope, so pretty cool. I hope that
[3:39] Speaker 3: helps me out.
[3:40] Speaker 1: So yeah, outside of that, I'm a mom and I
[3:44] Speaker 1: have a beautiful dog who's like fourteen and a half,
[3:46] Speaker 1: so yeah, awesome.
[3:49] Speaker 2: Yeah, And I will have the links to your your
[3:52] Speaker 2: channels and accounts in the show notes and the descriptions.
[3:57] Speaker 2: But what's the name of If people just wanted to
[4:01] Speaker 2: search it, search for it on YouTube? What would they
[4:04] Speaker 2: search for?
[4:05] Speaker 3: The solo hiker?
[4:06] Speaker 1: And I believe it's the solo Hiker two twenty two
[4:11] Speaker 1: on YouTube, and I apologize I don't actually share it
[4:15] Speaker 1: very often. And then it's the dot solo hiker on Instagram.
[4:19] Speaker 1: So there's quite a few solo hikers out there. I
[4:22] Speaker 1: didn't realize, but yeah, I think it's awesome.
[4:25] Speaker 2: Absolutely you have. I'm looking through your bio, and I
[4:31] Speaker 2: mean it's not just solo hiking. You're also you're paddleboarding,
[4:36] Speaker 2: your snowboarding, your mountain climbing, biking, camping, You're also overlanding. Yes,
[4:43] Speaker 2: you're really You're really doing anything you could do out
[4:48] Speaker 2: there in the outdoors, and that probably puts you in
[4:52] Speaker 2: such a wide variety of outdoor types. Yes, is that correct?
[5:00] Speaker 3: Yes?
[5:00] Speaker 1: Absolutely, and all seasons also, So I think that being
[5:05] Speaker 1: outside is my number one favorite thing in the whole world,
[5:07] Speaker 1: and so I have to be outside every day. I
[5:10] Speaker 1: really try to be outside every day. I need it
[5:12] Speaker 1: for my mental health and just in general. But I
[5:15] Speaker 1: have hobbies for every season, so I don't ever get bored.
[5:18] Speaker 1: I'm not ever, you know, bummed that it's too hot
[5:21] Speaker 1: or bummed that it's too cold, or I can always
[5:24] Speaker 1: find something that I really enjoy out there, and I
[5:26] Speaker 1: think that that's those are my hobbies.
[5:28] Speaker 2: So gotcha now living being out in that area, did
[5:38] Speaker 2: you grow up with knowing anything about Bigfoot or sasquatch?
[5:45] Speaker 2: Was that on your radar at all.
[5:47] Speaker 3: No, actually not at all.
[5:48] Speaker 1: And actually I grew up in Colorado, Western Colorado and
[5:52] Speaker 1: have a you know, I mean, I have a pretty
[5:54] Speaker 1: rocky past.
[5:55] Speaker 3: Also, you know, I'm a recovered methadict.
[5:58] Speaker 1: I was on drugs for over eleven years and so
[6:03] Speaker 1: and now I've been clean for over twenty. So it
[6:06] Speaker 1: was kind of like coming out to California, Northern California
[6:09] Speaker 1: was a breakaway for me, a clean slate so that
[6:13] Speaker 1: I could raise my son here and that's exactly what
[6:16] Speaker 1: it was for me and him, and it's just been awesome.
[6:19] Speaker 1: So it wasn't until I got out to California a
[6:22] Speaker 1: couple of years into living here actually I had my
[6:24] Speaker 1: first I wouldn't say encounter because I've never encountered I've
[6:28] Speaker 1: never seen an animal. I've never been close enough to
[6:31] Speaker 1: an animal where i felt like, oh, yeah, that's something else.
[6:33] Speaker 1: Because I've been face to face with a wolf, I've
[6:35] Speaker 1: been I've seen bears, elk, deer, that type of thing,
[6:39] Speaker 1: but I've never seen a big foot. So it was
[6:42] Speaker 1: just an encounter about two years after we first moved here.
[6:47] Speaker 1: It was my first introduction to like bigfoot, like actually exists.
[6:53] Speaker 1: You know, it took me a while. I was a
[6:54] Speaker 1: scuff also, but prior to that, I had just barely
[6:58] Speaker 1: heard of like Bigfoot, you know, Harry, and he had
[7:00] Speaker 1: since when I was like, hey, you know what I mean.
[7:01] Speaker 2: Right exactly. And it hats off to you for being
[7:05] Speaker 2: able to break through that addiction and being able to
[7:09] Speaker 2: move on with your life. And I know that that
[7:13] Speaker 2: is huge part of my life. I used to work
[7:17] Speaker 2: in a pharmacy and so I know how that can
[7:23] Speaker 2: affect a person. And I saw so many people that
[7:26] Speaker 2: would go down that road and you just knew what
[7:28] Speaker 2: was happening, and it was so sad to watch. But
[7:31] Speaker 2: it is so great to hear a story like yours
[7:33] Speaker 2: where you're able to turn your life around, break free,
[7:37] Speaker 2: and then you know, become a person who is enjoying
[7:44] Speaker 2: the outdoors but also a content creator and documenting. At
[7:49] Speaker 2: the same time, you mentioned there was there was a
[7:53] Speaker 2: time where you encountered something and things kind of shifted
[7:58] Speaker 2: for you, and it sounded like it was pretty intense.
[8:02] Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I was camping actually, and this was I'm
[8:06] Speaker 1: sweating talking about this. It's funny. It was up on
[8:10] Speaker 1: South Fork, Sacramento River. So I live in Sisku County,
[8:14] Speaker 1: which is just surrounded by mountains. I'm in in between
[8:18] Speaker 1: the Cascade, you know. Mount Shasta basically is just like
[8:21] Speaker 1: right here, and then there's the Scott Mountains, the Salmon Mountains,
[8:25] Speaker 1: the Russian Mountains in the back Marbles, and then we've
[8:29] Speaker 1: got the Shasta trinities over here. Well, the Sacramento is
[8:32] Speaker 1: kind of towards more of the Shasta trinities, and so
[8:35] Speaker 1: there's a couple of different forks of the Sacramento River
[8:37] Speaker 1: that come down from those areas over there, Gum Boot,
[8:41] Speaker 1: Mumbo Summit, and then you've got Parks Creek and dead
[8:47] Speaker 1: Fall Lakes in that area there. Well, the Sacramento River
[8:50] Speaker 1: comes down into Lake Siski, or close to Lake Siski
[8:55] Speaker 1: is where I was, so just for context, I was
[8:59] Speaker 1: just camping out there. It's a pretty popular place to camp.
[9:01] Speaker 1: There's actually quite a few people out there during the summer.
[9:04] Speaker 1: We used to see winnoveagos and trailers out there at
[9:08] Speaker 1: a certain point until they kind of shut that down.
[9:10] Speaker 3: So we're not talking about a.
[9:12] Speaker 1: Crazy isolated area. It's an area right off the side
[9:17] Speaker 1: of the road, not too far out. Camping with a
[9:20] Speaker 1: small child. I think my son was two or three
[9:22] Speaker 1: at the time.
[9:23] Speaker 3: And we're right above the river.
[9:26] Speaker 1: It was nighttime. We had a fire. My son was
[9:30] Speaker 1: asleep in the truck and me and my husband at
[9:32] Speaker 1: that time were sitting there just enjoying the stars, enjoying
[9:35] Speaker 1: the fire. The fire went out, and so, I don't know,
[9:39] Speaker 1: ten eleven o'clock at night, there was this sound that
[9:42] Speaker 1: I have never heard in my life. And reminder that
[9:45] Speaker 1: I'm from Colorado, I'm from like a hunting background.
[9:48] Speaker 3: My uncle's hunted.
[9:49] Speaker 1: I know what elk sounds like, I know what bear
[9:51] Speaker 1: sounds like, deer, that type of thing. It was like
[9:55] Speaker 1: nothing I've ever heard in my entire life. It was
[9:57] Speaker 1: this deep. It's hard to explained because it was a
[10:01] Speaker 1: deep toned, high pitched scream that happened, and it was
[10:06] Speaker 1: just I just got goosebumps all over my body just
[10:08] Speaker 1: now thinking about it. And at that point in time,
[10:11] Speaker 1: I thought that wasn't a bear, that wasn't a cat, Like,
[10:15] Speaker 1: what the heck was that? Maybe there's some psychopath out
[10:17] Speaker 1: here that's like, that's pretty creepy, right, I was pretty
[10:19] Speaker 1: creeped out. Well, we decided that it was, you know,
[10:23] Speaker 1: just a fluke. It wasn't gonna happen again, and it
[10:24] Speaker 1: was totally fine, and we just kept sitting there and
[10:26] Speaker 1: we're just talking, and then it happened again, only it
[10:28] Speaker 1: happened a lot closer, and for me, it just chills up.
[10:33] Speaker 1: I just decided, that's it for me. I'm getting the
[10:35] Speaker 1: back of the truck. I'm not even gonna hang out
[10:37] Speaker 1: out here. And I had got in the back of
[10:39] Speaker 1: the truck. My husband stayed out and listened for a
[10:42] Speaker 1: lot longer and tried to just hear some more. And
[10:43] Speaker 1: of course we didn't have cell phones then, so and
[10:46] Speaker 1: he didn't ever hear anything else again. But it wasn't
[10:49] Speaker 1: until later, probably two years later, that I watched some
[10:53] Speaker 1: sort of a documentary and I wish that I could
[10:56] Speaker 1: remember the name of it. It was probably two thousand
[10:58] Speaker 1: and seven time period, and I heard the same noise
[11:04] Speaker 1: on this documentary and it just, I mean, whoa, I'm convinced.
[11:10] Speaker 1: From that point, I was like, that's exactly what we
[11:12] Speaker 1: heard out there, That's exactly what that was. And then
[11:14] Speaker 1: it kind of just sparked it for me from there,
[11:17] Speaker 1: and so then since then, I've just been a little
[11:18] Speaker 1: bit more aware. I think of my surroundings and looking
[11:22] Speaker 1: for signs, and you know, as I progress in my
[11:25] Speaker 1: hiking and where I'm going and whatnot, that I see
[11:28] Speaker 1: more and more and then it starts to become almost
[11:30] Speaker 1: like oh, yeah there's some tree breaks or oh that
[11:33] Speaker 1: might be some knocks, you know, and you start gett
[11:34] Speaker 1: a little more familiar. But there was a couple of
[11:37] Speaker 1: years in there was very uneasy. You know, it made
[11:40] Speaker 1: me feel uneasy.
[11:42] Speaker 2: It is really interesting how when a person has an
[11:46] Speaker 2: experience like that, it almost there's usually two paths they
[11:52] Speaker 2: can take. It's either they become aware and it starts
[11:56] Speaker 2: to affect them when they go out again, or they
[12:00] Speaker 2: get super freaked out and they're like, yeah, I'm not
[12:02] Speaker 2: going out in the woods anymore. Right, But that is
[12:06] Speaker 2: pretty cool how it if it almost started to open
[12:09] Speaker 2: open your eyes in a way. It sounds like you
[12:12] Speaker 2: started to go to other places and you were you
[12:14] Speaker 2: were seeing things that would that would stick out that
[12:18] Speaker 2: we're not really normal looking.
[12:21] Speaker 1: Yeah, I think you know my experience. I had talked
[12:25] Speaker 1: to a coworker. At that point in time. I worked
[12:27] Speaker 1: for a state park here Castle Craigs, and I was
[12:31] Speaker 1: a maintenance person there and so the other guy that
[12:33] Speaker 1: I worked with, I told him about this experience and
[12:36] Speaker 1: he was like, oh yeah, dude, bigfoots all over through there,
[12:38] Speaker 1: like South Fork, Sacramento hot spot. Man, there's And then,
[12:42] Speaker 1: as you know, I've been here for over twenty years now,
[12:44] Speaker 1: in the Mount Shasta area, I've met handfuls of people
[12:47] Speaker 1: that say the same thing, and South Fork is just
[12:49] Speaker 1: this hot spot there's you want to see or hear
[12:52] Speaker 1: or experience something. So with that said though, I've never
[12:55] Speaker 1: experienced anything else up there since then, So you know,
[12:59] Speaker 1: for me, I'm like, well, that's really cool. And I've
[13:01] Speaker 1: heard a lot of people with a lot of cool
[13:02] Speaker 1: stories about that type of thing, some people even stating
[13:06] Speaker 1: that they saw him coming at them through the woods,
[13:08] Speaker 1: you know, And I'm just like wow, okay, yeah, So
[13:12] Speaker 1: that was just my first, very very short experience. Wasn't
[13:17] Speaker 1: even sure what was going on until later, you.
[13:19] Speaker 3: Know what I mean.
[13:22] Speaker 2: You hear a lot of stories about Mount Schesta and
[13:26] Speaker 2: maybe to Rabbit Trail for a minute, yeah please, living
[13:30] Speaker 2: in that area. So like what I hear is, you know,
[13:33] Speaker 2: I've talked to a few people before and you hear
[13:35] Speaker 2: some like really intense things like people going up into
[13:39] Speaker 2: panther meadows and things like that, and like seeing you know,
[13:43] Speaker 2: not just Bigfoot, but other things as well. You live
[13:46] Speaker 2: in those areas, are you hearing stories like that, like
[13:49] Speaker 2: things of high strangeness, things that don't really make sense.
[13:52] Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a lot of that here, not so much
[13:55] Speaker 1: from the locals, but but more for people who visit,
[13:58] Speaker 1: which is interesting to me because I think that a
[14:00] Speaker 1: lot of locals don't experience that type of thing, but
[14:04] Speaker 1: obviously you don't. I didn't start as a local, right
[14:08] Speaker 1: I'm a local now because I've been here for twenty
[14:10] Speaker 1: two years. But most of the stories that I've heard
[14:13] Speaker 1: are from people who visit here who don't live here.
[14:16] Speaker 1: So that's been interesting, especially concerning Mount Shasta, because people
[14:20] Speaker 1: go up there for a myriad of different reasons, spiritual
[14:23] Speaker 1: healing and they're searching for something, or climbing, you know,
[14:26] Speaker 1: I really love to climb, and Mount Shasta is amazing
[14:30] Speaker 1: like climbing, camping, hiking. But there's the whole. And I'm
[14:36] Speaker 1: not an expert at this at all, but there's the whole.
[14:40] Speaker 1: Lemurian Tee Los that whole. There's a sacred city underneath
[14:45] Speaker 1: the mountain and the caverns and all of that, and
[14:47] Speaker 1: so there's a lot of different energy here and people
[14:50] Speaker 1: bring a lot of different energy here. Also, Bigfoot happens
[14:54] Speaker 1: to be one of those entities that people.
[14:57] Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I mean, as you've got the civilization that's
[15:01] Speaker 2: supposedly underground. I want to say, this is the same
[15:04] Speaker 2: area with the guy with the he found the treasure,
[15:08] Speaker 2: but then he went missing, and then a lot of
[15:13] Speaker 2: people will bring up Panther Meadows, but it's Bunny Flats,
[15:17] Speaker 2: I think, is another area that's that's kind of weird.
[15:20] Speaker 2: But one years so, you've actually gone up hiking in
[15:25] Speaker 2: the Mount Shasta area.
[15:27] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, I mean I've climbed Mount Shasta. I've
[15:30] Speaker 1: been probably ten thousand feet almost all the way around
[15:32] Speaker 1: the mountain. Well, not a circumnavigation, but you know, just
[15:36] Speaker 1: in general. I mean, it's fifteen minutes from my house,
[15:38] Speaker 1: and so I do a lot of activities up on
[15:40] Speaker 1: Mal Shasta, snowboarding back on through snowboarding, hiking and camping
[15:45] Speaker 1: and climbing.
[15:47] Speaker 2: Have you found that, you know, hiking and doing activities
[15:51] Speaker 2: around there are there certain places where if you go
[15:54] Speaker 2: into that area, it's kind of weird vibes or do
[15:58] Speaker 2: you think that's kind of maybe visitors telling the same
[16:02] Speaker 2: story over and over and things might get blown out
[16:06] Speaker 2: of context a little bit.
[16:07] Speaker 1: I think that Mount Shasta is one of those things
[16:11] Speaker 1: where people see it on a postcard and they think, Okay, cool,
[16:13] Speaker 1: it's just it's this mountain. But as any mountain, if
[16:17] Speaker 1: anybody knows has ever been on a mountain, that you
[16:20] Speaker 1: can get very disoriented on a mountain just from one
[16:25] Speaker 1: change in the weather or change in direction. And there's
[16:29] Speaker 1: a lot going on on Mount Shastam, and you've got
[16:31] Speaker 1: crevasses on the north side, You've got, however, many different
[16:35] Speaker 1: glaciers now, multiple ridge lines. You can get lost very easily.
[16:40] Speaker 1: The rocks change, there's all sorts of gullies and all
[16:43] Speaker 1: of the creeks that run through, and pinnacles and hoodoos,
[16:46] Speaker 1: and it's an absolutely incredible space. So a mountain itself
[16:51] Speaker 1: is massive amounts of energy, right and then all the
[16:55] Speaker 1: people bringing their energy. So I would not say that
[16:58] Speaker 1: that's far fetched at all. I don't think that I
[17:00] Speaker 1: would say weird, but it's it's you can't it's unexplainable,
[17:05] Speaker 1: you know, like in every mountain has its energy, and
[17:07] Speaker 1: every area has its energy and moult Shasta's heavy energy
[17:11] Speaker 1: man big time.
[17:12] Speaker 2: Yeah, I've got a list of different places I want
[17:15] Speaker 2: to check out, and I'm at the point I need
[17:19] Speaker 2: to start branching out from Oregon a little bit. But
[17:22] Speaker 2: it's just it's so cool, man. But I'm like, I
[17:25] Speaker 2: gotta I gotta start hitting some northern California and some
[17:27] Speaker 2: other places too. But you know, Mandy, you know, as
[17:31] Speaker 2: after you had that that first experience, can you think
[17:35] Speaker 2: of any other interesting things that happened that you know,
[17:39] Speaker 2: kind of made you take notice as you're you're hiking
[17:41] Speaker 2: around the Western States.
[17:44] Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure.
[17:45] Speaker 1: So I haven't really experienced anything else like that around
[17:48] Speaker 1: sisk County like I mentioned, But I have experienced my
[17:52] Speaker 1: most recent experience, and this is the reason why I.
[17:54] Speaker 3: Reached out to you.
[17:55] Speaker 1: I saw a video about someone talking about Pinchow and
[18:01] Speaker 1: I had an experience in Gifford Pincho last September that
[18:05] Speaker 1: was you know, I mean, I just in my heart
[18:08] Speaker 1: and in my soul, I was just like, no, this
[18:09] Speaker 1: is just bigfoot activity. It just feels like bigfoot activity.
[18:12] Speaker 1: It just feels like it out here. And so I
[18:14] Speaker 1: had gone on about a five day it wasn't a
[18:18] Speaker 1: backpacking trip because I now I have a tent on
[18:19] Speaker 1: my trucks and now I'm kind of spoiled, and I
[18:21] Speaker 1: do just more overlanding versus backpacking. So but I went
[18:26] Speaker 1: to I went through, you know, to Mount Jefferson, and
[18:28] Speaker 1: then I went to Mount Adams, and then I was
[18:31] Speaker 1: staying the night in between Mount Adams and Mount Saint
[18:34] Speaker 1: Helen's and there was a lot. I stayed three nights
[18:37] Speaker 1: in between before the Thursday when I climbed to Mount
[18:40] Speaker 1: Saint Helens, which that was the main, main reason for
[18:42] Speaker 1: going up. I'm gonna sum at Mount Saint Helens. I'm
[18:44] Speaker 1: just gonna make it, you know, a week long trip
[18:46] Speaker 1: out of it. So that's what I love to do,
[18:48] Speaker 1: paddle board and do the whole thing. And it was
[18:51] Speaker 1: in between and I actually pulled out my map because
[18:53] Speaker 1: I made notes on my maps. I also met make
[18:56] Speaker 1: maps for a living, so I made Yeah, so I
[18:58] Speaker 1: made some maps and I was like, okay. So there
[19:00] Speaker 1: was a couple of camp grounds with lake access that
[19:04] Speaker 1: I slept at, and the one of them and I
[19:06] Speaker 1: have a couple of just X marks here that both
[19:10] Speaker 1: nights that I was there, I felt somebody else there
[19:14] Speaker 1: there wasn't anybody else there, but it was more of
[19:18] Speaker 1: like someone like peering in at me from the woods
[19:22] Speaker 1: than just that feeling that you get. And I caught
[19:24] Speaker 1: a fish, and that morning I caught like a nice
[19:28] Speaker 1: little brick trout. When I was going to cook it
[19:29] Speaker 1: up and I heard this again, I'm getting goosebumps again.
[19:33] Speaker 1: It was like a whooping across the lake almost like yes,
[19:37] Speaker 1: you got one, you got one. And I was just like,
[19:40] Speaker 1: what was that not again? Not having any kind of
[19:43] Speaker 1: an idea of Gifford Pinchot's the first time I've ever
[19:46] Speaker 1: been in Gifford pincho And it just the feeling there,
[19:50] Speaker 1: man like it was just suck so crazy to me
[19:52] Speaker 1: because I kept finding all these tree breaks and the
[19:55] Speaker 1: tree bait where they're just like bent over. There's like, dude,
[19:57] Speaker 1: a bear is not going to break this truth like
[19:59] Speaker 1: this figure round. But they were so uniformed it was
[20:02] Speaker 1: almost like they were at like the six foot level.
[20:05] Speaker 1: There was so many of them. I found probably twelve
[20:08] Speaker 1: of them the first couple nights that I was there,
[20:12] Speaker 1: and that, you know, I just kind of had it
[20:13] Speaker 1: in my head and I'm like, ah, this has been
[20:15] Speaker 1: really interesting. And I thought I could smell some bear.
[20:18] Speaker 1: I didn't see any bear. It seems to me like
[20:20] Speaker 1: that's bear country and it was pretty strange to me
[20:22] Speaker 1: that I didn't see any bear. But then I made
[20:26] Speaker 1: my way over from it was ol Ali Lake. The
[20:29] Speaker 1: last place to stay it was ol Ali and what
[20:32] Speaker 1: a beautiful spot, and so I made my way over. Okay,
[20:36] Speaker 1: I love that you're saying, oh yeah, because now I'm like, dude,
[20:38] Speaker 1: I need to hear more about this, like because I
[20:40] Speaker 1: was just like, what is happening here? And it's like,
[20:42] Speaker 1: I guess it's like twenty three that you come over. Anyway,
[20:46] Speaker 1: I ended up somehow getting from ol Ali Lake over
[20:50] Speaker 1: to Monitor Ridges, where I was going to start climbing
[20:52] Speaker 1: mount saying, Helen's that's my plan is to.
[20:54] Speaker 3: Get over through there.
[20:56] Speaker 1: Well, I got detoured a couple of times and found
[20:59] Speaker 1: this place called ape Cave, and I thought, wow, ape Cave.
[21:03] Speaker 1: That's pretty interesting. I wonder why it's.
[21:05] Speaker 3: Called ape Cave.
[21:06] Speaker 1: So I've got this in my head the whole time.
[21:09] Speaker 1: So I didn't camp at Monitor Ridge bivouac. It was
[21:13] Speaker 1: too like it's just un level. I needed a better
[21:17] Speaker 1: spot to camp, so I found myself an old logging road.
[21:20] Speaker 1: It was kind of close, maybe ten miles from the bivouac.
[21:25] Speaker 1: I think I'm saying that correctly. Anyway, that night it
[21:29] Speaker 1: was so heavy for me that I couldn't sleep in
[21:33] Speaker 1: my tent. I just couldn't do it. And I'm not
[21:35] Speaker 1: afraid of the dark, and I'm not afraid of the woods.
[21:37] Speaker 1: I've been out there for a really long time by myself,
[21:39] Speaker 1: and there's very little that can scare me off outside
[21:42] Speaker 1: of a man in a big truck, right, And that's
[21:44] Speaker 1: pretty much the only thing where I'm like, nahm, and
[21:46] Speaker 1: I you know, I'm yeah, I'm smart about it.
[21:48] Speaker 3: I'm packing right.
[21:49] Speaker 1: So I'm sitting there and I'm like, I'm not gonna
[21:51] Speaker 1: sleep in my tent tonight. I'm going to probably sleep
[21:55] Speaker 1: in the cab of my truck and just get up
[21:57] Speaker 1: early and climb the mountain and get out of here.
[21:59] Speaker 1: And that was because my pre dinner walk I parked
[22:05] Speaker 1: my truck. I'm thinking about this beautiful area and I
[22:09] Speaker 1: can't wait to come back and explore this mohere. I
[22:11] Speaker 1: want to see some of these meadows out here. And
[22:13] Speaker 1: I took a little walk behind my truck up a hill,
[22:17] Speaker 1: down a little trail. It was kind of like a
[22:19] Speaker 1: deer trail system. And I found myself in the middle
[22:22] Speaker 1: of this really strange feeling area. And it wasn't a meadow,
[22:28] Speaker 1: it wasn't a it was a clearing. There was definitely
[22:32] Speaker 1: a clearing there, but there were broken trees almost in
[22:36] Speaker 1: a half circle around this whole area, so it was
[22:39] Speaker 1: pretty deliberate. It felt like it was like, Okay, this
[22:41] Speaker 1: is like a spot right, like something's going on. Well,
[22:44] Speaker 1: when I was down there, I heard whooping in the
[22:48] Speaker 1: woods and I was just like, okay, that's creepy.
[22:52] Speaker 3: Like I'm a couple miles from ray truck.
[22:53] Speaker 1: I'm gonna like get back to the truck, start walking
[22:56] Speaker 1: back to the truck, and I got it. I'm starting
[22:57] Speaker 1: to shake. This is crazy. I didn't think this would
[22:59] Speaker 1: affect me. Like I'm walking back to the truck and
[23:02] Speaker 1: I'm about, I don't know, maybe a quarter a mile max.
[23:06] Speaker 1: From my truck. I know that my truck was going
[23:08] Speaker 1: to be right around the corner. And I heard the
[23:11] Speaker 1: loudest knock And it wasn't like a tree falling down.
[23:15] Speaker 1: I didn't see anything flying, I didn't nothing like that,
[23:18] Speaker 1: But it was just like it sounded like either a
[23:20] Speaker 1: branch this big or a rock this big hitting something
[23:24] Speaker 1: else really hard, right, and I just, dude, I just split.
[23:28] Speaker 1: I started running. I got to my truck. I put
[23:31] Speaker 1: all my stuff back in my truck, and I just
[23:33] Speaker 1: sat there outside of the truck because by this point
[23:35] Speaker 1: it's dark, like I'm walking around in the dark, right,
[23:38] Speaker 1: And so I was just like, there's something following me.
[23:41] Speaker 1: I didn't hear anything following me, but I thought I
[23:44] Speaker 1: could swear that I could smell dogs. I was like,
[23:47] Speaker 1: there's wet dogs out here. For sure, there's wet dogs.
[23:51] Speaker 1: And I didn't know if there was wolves up there.
[23:54] Speaker 1: I know, you know, in Oregon, like I mentioned, I
[23:56] Speaker 1: had come face to face with a wolf. And when
[23:59] Speaker 1: I say to face, I mean about twenty five feet away.
[24:01] Speaker 1: Obviously not right here. But I didn't expect that, and
[24:05] Speaker 1: so I was like, well, maybe it's wolves. Maybe it's coyotes.
[24:07] Speaker 1: I've had a lot of run in with coyote, but
[24:10] Speaker 1: normally you hear them, normally they're making it like so
[24:14] Speaker 1: still just feeling really uneasy, almost like somebody's messing with
[24:18] Speaker 1: me is kind of what I thought. I thought that
[24:19] Speaker 1: maybe there was men out there, trying to mess with me,
[24:21] Speaker 1: and I'm like, okay, I'm not sleeping in my tent.
[24:24] Speaker 1: So I didn't put my tent up, slept in the truck.
[24:28] Speaker 1: Everything seemed to be fine, slept most of the night,
[24:30] Speaker 1: and woke up to the in the middle of the
[24:32] Speaker 1: night to something rocking my truck back and forth. Oh
[24:35] Speaker 1: my goodness, and my truck is like I've got a tacoma.
[24:39] Speaker 1: And then I've got the tent on the top, so
[24:40] Speaker 1: it's kind of tall, and it's like and I'm in
[24:43] Speaker 1: the like the back cab part of my truck sleeping
[24:46] Speaker 1: and it's maybe one thirty in the morning, and it
[24:49] Speaker 1: woke me up, and so now I'm like, okay, something's
[24:53] Speaker 1: something's really rocking my truck. Well I got a little emboldened,
[24:58] Speaker 1: i think at that point, because I'm like, no, forget this,
[25:01] Speaker 1: I'm not going to deal with this. So then I
[25:02] Speaker 1: get up and I get out with my flashlight and
[25:04] Speaker 1: I'm looking around and I don't see anything.
[25:06] Speaker 3: And then I got back in.
[25:08] Speaker 1: And I was like, okay, locked the truck, fell back asleep,
[25:13] Speaker 1: didn't have another encounter, didn't have anything else happened to me.
[25:16] Speaker 3: That was pretty much it.
[25:18] Speaker 2: So Yeah, that is absolutely horrifying. And this is before
[25:23] Speaker 2: you really knew the information about what goes on in
[25:27] Speaker 2: the whole Gifford beIN show Home My God.
[25:29] Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, And I still have no clue.
[25:33] Speaker 1: I still don't have any idea of the magnitude. I've
[25:37] Speaker 1: seen like two things on Gifford Pinchow. And as soon
[25:40] Speaker 1: as I told a couple of my friends like I
[25:42] Speaker 1: had this weird thing happen, and they were like, dude,
[25:44] Speaker 1: you were in between Mount Adams and Mount Saint Allan's, Like, Mandy,
[25:48] Speaker 1: that's a really really popular place for them, Like a
[25:51] Speaker 1: lot of people have those types of experiences there and that.
[25:54] Speaker 2: It really is. Yeah, did you see any tracks or
[25:58] Speaker 2: anything the next morning? Were you able to look around
[26:00] Speaker 2: or No?
[26:01] Speaker 1: I didn't actually because I got up at three point
[26:03] Speaker 1: thirty in the morning, made my coffee and then started
[26:06] Speaker 1: hiking the mountain because I wanted to sum it by
[26:08] Speaker 1: you know, eight or so in the morning. So and
[26:12] Speaker 1: then I left right after, you know, as soon as
[26:14] Speaker 1: I got down from Mount Saint Helens, I split.
[26:16] Speaker 3: I didn't.
[26:17] Speaker 1: I didn't even go back to that spot, Like I'd
[26:19] Speaker 1: really like to go back to that spot and spend
[26:22] Speaker 1: some time there, so you know, and I'm gonna have
[26:24] Speaker 1: to find on the on the map exactly where I
[26:26] Speaker 1: was at and see like if I can pinpoint it
[26:28] Speaker 1: and be like, okay, this is where this is. I
[26:30] Speaker 1: didn't even take notes, so, which is pretty pretty unlike me.
[26:34] Speaker 2: Actually it would be really Yeah, that would be interesting.
[26:38] Speaker 2: And so if if you go to bigfost Society podcast
[26:43] Speaker 2: dot com and then I have a sighting map there
[26:46] Speaker 2: and then you look at Gifford Pinchot National Forest, there
[26:50] Speaker 2: are so many dots and these are people that I've
[26:52] Speaker 2: talked to on the show. You know, there's an old
[26:54] Speaker 2: Lally Lake one that was a member's episode about a
[26:59] Speaker 2: guy that had some really weird stuff happened over there.
[27:02] Speaker 1: And then, oh my god, I'm sweating Jeremiah, like I'm
[27:06] Speaker 1: literally talking about that.
[27:08] Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm okay, Yeah, you're good.
[27:10] Speaker 2: Yeah good.
[27:10] Speaker 1: It's like there's a physiological thing going on here.
[27:14] Speaker 2: Definitely your account, because you said it was south of
[27:18] Speaker 2: down By eight Cave, right, m h yeah, So that
[27:22] Speaker 2: reminds me of I'm trying to find the exact one.
[27:28] Speaker 2: There was a woman I talked to where she was
[27:35] Speaker 2: overlanding and she pretty much broke down in this area
[27:43] Speaker 2: south of Saint Helen's and the rangers came out and
[27:50] Speaker 2: were trying to help her, and then all of a sudden,
[27:53] Speaker 2: pretty much they started hearing whoops all around them in
[27:56] Speaker 2: the woods, and the rangers got freaked out and like
[28:00] Speaker 2: see you later and left her there. Oh the mess,
[28:03] Speaker 2: And so she had to stay there, and then thankfully
[28:06] Speaker 2: she got one of her buddies to come over and fixer,
[28:10] Speaker 2: fix your vehicle. And that's that's on the map, one
[28:13] Speaker 2: of the pins. I can't I can't find the exact
[28:16] Speaker 2: one right now, but like you're you're what happened to
[28:19] Speaker 2: you is a thing like stuff like that happens a
[28:22] Speaker 2: lot in that area that Gifford beincho And I mean
[28:24] Speaker 2: then you have places like you know, Tire Junction and
[28:28] Speaker 2: Scuka Meadows. Has so much stuff happened in Scuka Meadows
[28:31] Speaker 2: and that's that's in that.
[28:33] Speaker 1: It's like in between, right, Yeah, So I think that
[28:36] Speaker 1: that's actually the that's the one episode that I listened
[28:39] Speaker 1: to and it was an older gentleman and he was
[28:42] Speaker 1: talking about Scuka Meadows and how he goes out there,
[28:44] Speaker 1: and I think he was the one that said that
[28:46] Speaker 1: he had placed cameras and he had like cameras outside
[28:50] Speaker 1: he was in one of the little islands, and as
[28:52] Speaker 1: I'm listening, I'm like, this is this is really close
[28:55] Speaker 1: to where I was. And that's when it clicked for
[28:57] Speaker 1: me that I was like, I need to get a
[28:59] Speaker 1: hold of guy and tell him that I had these
[29:02] Speaker 1: because a lot of my friends, you know, I love
[29:05] Speaker 1: my friends, I love my friends, I love my family,
[29:07] Speaker 1: but I think a lot of people are highly skeptical
[29:10] Speaker 1: and that's okay, but I just don't really share things
[29:14] Speaker 1: that often, like these things are you know, my stuff
[29:16] Speaker 1: that I do, Like all of my notes that I
[29:18] Speaker 1: take and my maps and my drawings, and like all
[29:20] Speaker 1: of this stuff will be something that maybe my son
[29:22] Speaker 1: finds one day, you know what I mean, Like, I
[29:24] Speaker 1: don't share this kind of stuff really, So to me,
[29:27] Speaker 1: finding you guys, finding you and the people that listen
[29:29] Speaker 1: to your podcast and follow the Bigfoot Society like really lit.
[29:33] Speaker 3: Something for me.
[29:34] Speaker 1: And I'm like, and this is because it's very recent
[29:36] Speaker 1: for me that I found you, so so I'm just
[29:39] Speaker 1: really stoked to hear more and find out more and
[29:42] Speaker 1: go back up.
[29:43] Speaker 3: I can't wait to go back up. I have a
[29:44] Speaker 3: plan I'm.
[29:45] Speaker 2: Happy you're you're gonna, you're gonna open up the can
[29:48] Speaker 2: of worms, because I mean, there is is so there's
[29:52] Speaker 2: so much information when you start looking into the Gifford
[29:55] Speaker 2: Pinchot and all the bigfoot activity there, and I mean
[29:58] Speaker 2: it is a thing where there is definitely something going
[30:02] Speaker 2: on there. Because you know, you have Skiminia County. It's
[30:06] Speaker 2: pretty much protected there. I mean, they have an ordinance
[30:10] Speaker 2: where you'll get in trouble if you mess around with
[30:16] Speaker 2: a sasquatch. And I want to get the exact wording
[30:19] Speaker 2: real quick because I don't have it. Yeah, designates the
[30:25] Speaker 2: county as a Sasquatch refuge, makes it a crime to
[30:29] Speaker 2: willfully kill or hurt Bigfoot. Violators can face up to
[30:33] Speaker 2: one year in jail in a one thousand dollars fine
[30:37] Speaker 2: that started in nineteen sixty nine. So there's that, and
[30:44] Speaker 2: I mean there's so. I mean, you could look into
[30:47] Speaker 2: the whole Ape Canyon deal. That's a really cool historical
[30:51] Speaker 2: story from the nineteen twenties, I believe about what happened
[30:55] Speaker 2: to the miners up there. That's a really cool rabbit
[30:56] Speaker 2: trail to go down. Question about your your ordeal. So
[31:04] Speaker 2: when you I'm sure you know you were thinking back
[31:08] Speaker 2: and trying to figure out what happened, and so what
[31:14] Speaker 2: do you think it was that was was shaking your vehicle?
[31:18] Speaker 1: That honest honestly, I've rationalized it and I and I've said,
[31:22] Speaker 1: you know what, you dreamt it, it's not it didn't happen.
[31:25] Speaker 1: Likely you were just you know, it's your it's before
[31:28] Speaker 1: a climb, you're uncomfortable. You didn't sleep in your tent
[31:30] Speaker 1: because you were uncomfortable last night. You thought something was
[31:33] Speaker 1: watching you, something through something at least, if not at you,
[31:38] Speaker 1: toward you. And so in my head, I'm just going, Okay, dude,
[31:41] Speaker 1: you were just freaked out. You probably just dreamt it.
[31:44] Speaker 1: You probably just dreamt the truck rocking, right, But everything
[31:48] Speaker 1: outside of that, like I can't rationalize. I can't say, oh,
[31:52] Speaker 1: that probably just didn't happen, you.
[31:53] Speaker 3: Know, So I don't know.
[31:56] Speaker 1: I just I just felt for me, I just felt
[31:59] Speaker 1: like this has got to be bigfoot activity, Like I
[32:02] Speaker 1: don't know what else this would be. And for me,
[32:04] Speaker 1: it was a lot just the tree breaks, right because
[32:06] Speaker 1: I see the tree bricks. Because I'm a total noub
[32:07] Speaker 1: I don't really know what I'm looking for I've heard
[32:10] Speaker 1: about whoops, I've heard about hair and skunk capes. Like,
[32:15] Speaker 1: I've watched some stuff on skun capes, and they smell
[32:17] Speaker 1: like wet dogs.
[32:18] Speaker 3: Well so to bearss.
[32:19] Speaker 1: Bears smell like wet dogs also, and dogs smell like
[32:22] Speaker 1: wet dogs. And so for me, I rationalize things because
[32:25] Speaker 1: I'm a scientist, right, I'm like, well, no, it's probably embarrassed.
[32:28] Speaker 1: It is likely a bear bed area because I've done
[32:30] Speaker 1: that before. Also, I've actually slept in the bear bed
[32:33] Speaker 1: unknowingly and lasso yeah.
[32:35] Speaker 2: Real, oh yeah, goodness, you're yeah wild I know, dude.
[32:39] Speaker 1: It was when I first started and I didn't even
[32:41] Speaker 1: have a tent and I yeah, I had like a
[32:45] Speaker 1: bivvy and so I was out camping in the wilderness
[32:48] Speaker 1: and melt lasson and it was dark because I had
[32:50] Speaker 1: just hiked too far and I'm like, I need to
[32:53] Speaker 1: find a place to camp, and so I just zipped
[32:56] Speaker 1: myself into my bivvy and found the most comforty patch
[32:58] Speaker 1: of grass that I could find, and it smelled like
[33:01] Speaker 1: dogs smell like a wet dog. And that was one
[33:04] Speaker 1: of the nights that I actually got woken up by
[33:06] Speaker 1: a pack of coyote because they killed something at a
[33:08] Speaker 1: lake nearby, and so they were doing their thing back
[33:10] Speaker 1: and forth, and they were running right through where my
[33:13] Speaker 1: camp was and woke me up in the middle of
[33:15] Speaker 1: the night.
[33:15] Speaker 3: So I was like, okay, here we go.
[33:17] Speaker 1: Well in the morning, dude, I woke up to a
[33:19] Speaker 1: pile of bear poop that was like and I could
[33:23] Speaker 1: have touched it with like I could have touched it. It
[33:25] Speaker 1: was that close to me. So somebody it was like Goldilocks,
[33:29] Speaker 1: here is in my y brand new it was. I
[33:31] Speaker 1: have a picture of it. I'll send you a picture
[33:33] Speaker 1: of it if I can find it. It had drips
[33:36] Speaker 1: even off of it, which is disgusting.
[33:37] Speaker 3: I realized.
[33:38] Speaker 2: So you know lived Goldilock and Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
[33:45] Speaker 3: You yeah, yeah, yeah.
[33:48] Speaker 2: Oh my goodness, you're so lucky. You were, I know,
[33:50] Speaker 2: so crazy lucky. I can't believe. That's a wild, wild story.
[33:55] Speaker 2: So do you want to go back to Gifford Pinchot
[33:58] Speaker 2: and to investigate it more?
[34:01] Speaker 1: Actually have a plan to Yep, I have a plan too,
[34:04] Speaker 1: So I think likely I'm going to do it again
[34:06] Speaker 1: in September. So I've got myself a five day slot
[34:09] Speaker 1: of time that I plan on going back up. I
[34:12] Speaker 1: don't know if I'll try to climb Mount Saint Helens again,
[34:16] Speaker 1: but I definitely want to go up. And just I
[34:20] Speaker 1: just experienced it a little bit more. There was a
[34:21] Speaker 1: couple more lakes than I made some notes on when
[34:23] Speaker 1: I was driving through that, I'm like, this place would
[34:26] Speaker 1: be pretty sweet to camp at. I ended up at Olali.
[34:30] Speaker 1: It is where I ended up at, but I want
[34:32] Speaker 1: to check out some more stuff in there, and I
[34:34] Speaker 1: want to go a little bit north of there too
[34:36] Speaker 1: and check out. And now I want to see Scuca Meadow.
[34:38] Speaker 1: Now I'm like, I really would like to see all
[34:40] Speaker 1: of that, So I want to.
[34:41] Speaker 2: Yeah, Scuka Meadows is such a really interesting because I mean,
[34:45] Speaker 2: you've got that episode that you brought up with the
[34:47] Speaker 2: individual and he had the camera set up and he
[34:51] Speaker 2: was also just you know, I think it was solo
[34:54] Speaker 2: camping in that meadow in just a sleeping bag. But
[34:58] Speaker 2: then if you can really look into Big for History
[35:01] Speaker 2: a little bit and look up something called the Scukum cast,
[35:04] Speaker 2: and this is back I want to say, it's around
[35:06] Speaker 2: like twenty years ago. You can you can read about
[35:09] Speaker 2: this a lot in doctor Meldrum's book Sasquatch legend meets
[35:14] Speaker 2: science pretty much. Long story short is, they made this
[35:20] Speaker 2: cast of they they found where a sasquatch had laid
[35:26] Speaker 2: down in mud and tried to reach and get apples
[35:32] Speaker 2: that had been placed there by Tom Powell. And so
[35:36] Speaker 2: they have this incredible body cast, but like body cast
[35:44] Speaker 2: of love the lower part of a sasquatch. And there's
[35:48] Speaker 2: a lot more to it. But if I was going
[35:51] Speaker 2: to skuok them meadows, I would take a little bit
[35:53] Speaker 2: of time, and you can find all the situation online
[35:56] Speaker 2: to just look up scuokum cast. Yeah, just so you
[35:59] Speaker 2: can if you want to nerd out and appreciate it
[36:03] Speaker 2: or I mean, that's up to you, you know you.
[36:05] Speaker 3: Yeah, I probably will want to. Yeah, probably love.
[36:07] Speaker 2: It that that area is a wild wild area. Yeah,
[36:16] Speaker 2: And I mean you know about Mount Adams, how there's uh,
[36:19] Speaker 2: there's a lot of UFO sightings over there as well.
[36:22] Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I don't. I don't know anything for UFOs.
[36:25] Speaker 2: In addition, really some weird, weird stuff over there. And yeah,
[36:31] Speaker 2: once you once you dig into it. So so that
[36:35] Speaker 2: must have affected you after you had that experience south
[36:39] Speaker 2: of me of Saint Helen's and some like that had
[36:43] Speaker 2: to affected how you went out in the woods, did
[36:46] Speaker 2: it at all?
[36:46] Speaker 1: Or were you just well, I mean not really, Jeremiah, Honestly,
[36:51] Speaker 1: to me, I feel like again, like like the I
[36:55] Speaker 1: hate to say that I don't have anything that I'm
[36:57] Speaker 1: afraid of then, because because that's that would be wrong, right,
[37:00] Speaker 1: That's incorrect. There are things that I that I have fear,
[37:04] Speaker 1: that I'm apprehensive of. However, I don't think. I think
[37:08] Speaker 1: inside of me again, I rationalize things, and I think
[37:13] Speaker 1: it's not going to hurt me, Like I don't think
[37:16] Speaker 1: that something's going to hurt me. I understand that sometimes
[37:18] Speaker 1: I can get into a situation. We have black bear here.
[37:21] Speaker 1: They're highly timid, they run most of the time. You're
[37:27] Speaker 1: never going to have a problem with a black bear,
[37:28] Speaker 1: not in the lower forty eight anyway. And I have
[37:31] Speaker 1: never been around grizzlies, but I am highly nervous to
[37:35] Speaker 1: go camping or solo backpacking in Idaho and areas where
[37:39] Speaker 1: they have grizzly bears there. I think that I would
[37:42] Speaker 1: be a lot more concerned that it was a grizzly
[37:44] Speaker 1: bear versus a bigfoot. I feel like, in some strange
[37:48] Speaker 1: comforting sense, I'm not afraid of bigfoot, And maybe that's
[37:54] Speaker 1: naive and stupid of me, but I just don't feel
[37:59] Speaker 1: like I don't feel a threatening aura by it, even
[38:03] Speaker 1: if I feel like I'm being watched.
[38:06] Speaker 3: So I don't know.
[38:07] Speaker 1: I think maybe at this point, I think I'm just
[38:09] Speaker 1: naive and maybe got a little bit too big of
[38:12] Speaker 1: an ego, like I'm fine, I'm gonna be fine.
[38:15] Speaker 3: I'm not afraid of the dark.
[38:17] Speaker 1: I got a climb a tree, I've got you know, protection,
[38:20] Speaker 1: There's things that I have that make me feel safer.
[38:24] Speaker 1: So again, if it's a you know, big whatever color
[38:29] Speaker 1: vehicle that's following me down old logging roads, that's a
[38:33] Speaker 1: totally different story, totally different story. And there are places
[38:36] Speaker 1: in the world that are in the Western United States
[38:39] Speaker 1: that I've been that I don't won't go back to
[38:43] Speaker 1: because of situations like that, you know, I mean, during
[38:48] Speaker 1: the time of large scale marijuana cultivation. You don't want
[38:53] Speaker 1: to find yourself in the wrong spot. There's a lot
[38:56] Speaker 1: of things like that, but it's mainly human that is
[38:58] Speaker 1: the like the the no go for me. You know,
[39:02] Speaker 1: if it's a human, I'm not going to mess with it.
[39:04] Speaker 2: So you're talking more probably like Emerald Triangle northern California
[39:09] Speaker 2: when you talk about stuff like that.
[39:10] Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, the humbold Area, there's some there's some
[39:12] Speaker 1: places out there that you don't want to You don't
[39:14] Speaker 1: want to go out there unless you're invited. And we
[39:16] Speaker 1: have some areas up in here in Siske County that
[39:18] Speaker 1: are similar also, you just you just don't, you just stare,
[39:22] Speaker 1: steer clear of those areas.
[39:24] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[39:27] Speaker 2: So at this point, is your is your main goal
[39:32] Speaker 2: then still going out and enjoying nature and documenting things
[39:39] Speaker 2: for your mother, et cetera. Or yeah, or so that's
[39:44] Speaker 2: that's goal number one. Has it changed where now? I
[39:49] Speaker 2: feel that it might change as you go along where
[39:51] Speaker 2: you're like, as you start to maybe have more experiences
[39:55] Speaker 2: that could be related to Sasquatch, you start to realize
[39:59] Speaker 2: and notice more or more things. Do you think it's
[40:01] Speaker 2: changing as you do more outdoor activities or maybe not? Yeah?
[40:06] Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it's slowly, Like gradually I'm getting more
[40:09] Speaker 1: and more bigfoot aware, you know, I'm getting more of that.
[40:14] Speaker 1: Like just for for example, two days ago, Moarel hunting
[40:18] Speaker 1: on Mount Shasta. Pretty sure I found a print, so
[40:22] Speaker 1: and I have a picture of it and I'm like,
[40:23] Speaker 1: it looks like a big, huge foot. To me, this
[40:26] Speaker 1: is crazy. And then recently I've had some other people
[40:29] Speaker 1: be like, we found bigfoot tracks on Moult Shasta.
[40:32] Speaker 3: So I think now I'm just like more aware.
[40:34] Speaker 1: Whereas before I'm looking for bear tracks, I'm looking for
[40:37] Speaker 1: wolf tracks, like I've tracked wolves before for fun, you know.
[40:40] Speaker 1: And it's like, I think that it's just an animal
[40:44] Speaker 1: that's been added to my list of things that I
[40:46] Speaker 1: would love to photograph at some point, you know what
[40:48] Speaker 1: I mean, or love to really see at some point.
[40:51] Speaker 1: Doesn't mean I want to meet him at two o'clock
[40:53] Speaker 1: in the morning when I'm in the middle of nowhere.
[40:55] Speaker 1: But I'm right intrigued.
[40:59] Speaker 2: Yeah, it sounds like you have the right, I could say,
[41:05] Speaker 2: almost intentions. Some people go about this the wrong way
[41:11] Speaker 2: and they're you know, oh, I want to have an
[41:13] Speaker 2: interaction so I can become famous. Well, and dude, you're
[41:17] Speaker 2: not really going to have anything happen, and that's just stuff.
[41:20] Speaker 1: That's how it goes, right, Yeah, And I think for me,
[41:23] Speaker 1: like all of this stuff is just like an awesome
[41:25] Speaker 1: byproduct of what I'm doing already. And make no mistake,
[41:29] Speaker 1: it's not altruistic, like I'm not just doing it for
[41:31] Speaker 1: my mom and other people, like I'm doing it for
[41:33] Speaker 1: me because this is my favorite.
[41:34] Speaker 3: Thing to do.
[41:35] Speaker 1: And also I love seeing my pictures. I'm also a photographer,
[41:38] Speaker 1: and so I you know, I love looking back and
[41:41] Speaker 1: be like I did that, I climbed that, I went here, like, oh,
[41:43] Speaker 1: I got to go back here. That's right, I was here.
[41:46] Speaker 1: So it's still like a huge passion for me. And
[41:48] Speaker 1: I think that Bigfoot and bears and birds and snakes
[41:52] Speaker 1: and everything, it's all just like this awesome byproduct of
[41:55] Speaker 1: like we live with these creatures on this world, and
[41:57] Speaker 1: I'm so stoked that just to be here to witness it.
[42:02] Speaker 1: So I think that more than anything, it's just like fun,
[42:05] Speaker 1: you know.
[42:06] Speaker 2: And exactly have you ever done any outdoors things or
[42:14] Speaker 2: had any experiences like down in the Mount Hood National
[42:18] Speaker 2: Forest or like Clackamas County area.
[42:21] Speaker 1: Yeah, I've camped around Mount Hood quite a few times.
[42:25] Speaker 1: I have some good friends that live in Portland, and
[42:26] Speaker 1: so I always try to make my way in. There's
[42:29] Speaker 1: a like a fish lake up there that I've been
[42:31] Speaker 1: to a few times. I don't typically go to the
[42:35] Speaker 1: popular places, but I like to find stuff like a
[42:37] Speaker 1: little off the beaten path, and I found this amazing
[42:41] Speaker 1: camp site up there. I want to say it's like
[42:42] Speaker 1: Silver Creek, and I don't know, so it's really I
[42:46] Speaker 1: have spent some time up there. I haven't ever had
[42:48] Speaker 1: any experiences up there that were uncomfortable, not like I
[42:54] Speaker 1: did at Mount Saint Helen's area that was actually uncomfortable
[42:58] Speaker 1: for me. That was actually a like yikes, that was uncomfortable,
[43:04] Speaker 1: you know. But now I'm intrigued and I want to
[43:05] Speaker 1: go back.
[43:08] Speaker 2: Things. Man, that area is like it all depends what
[43:13] Speaker 2: you want to check out. I mean, because like, for example,
[43:16] Speaker 2: this stuff, I mean, if you're looking at a map
[43:19] Speaker 2: and really you just have to look at the sighting
[43:21] Speaker 2: map that I have.
[43:23] Speaker 3: I can't wait to check them out.
[43:25] Speaker 2: All there's all the stuff that's just west of Mount Hood.
[43:29] Speaker 2: And then you've got like the Oregon Bigfoot Highway. That's
[43:32] Speaker 2: a fun that's a fun thing to look into if
[43:35] Speaker 2: you've never looked into that. It kind of goes down
[43:39] Speaker 2: from Esticada down to Detroit. There's a ton of activity
[43:43] Speaker 2: on that road. It's a little remote too, and there's
[43:45] Speaker 2: some cool camp camping areas along there that might be
[43:49] Speaker 2: something to look into. But okay, yeah, have you ever
[43:54] Speaker 2: had a situation where there must have been some time.
[44:01] Speaker 2: I mean, if you're out there for twenty plus years
[44:04] Speaker 2: doing solo stuff where you know, things got really intense
[44:11] Speaker 2: and maybe you know, I don't want to say it
[44:15] Speaker 2: almost caused the end, but it got pretty close to
[44:18] Speaker 2: Have there been any really close calls when you've been
[44:21] Speaker 2: out there?
[44:22] Speaker 3: Yeah, there was.
[44:23] Speaker 1: There were a couple of times, actually, yeah, a handful
[44:26] Speaker 1: of times, I guess, mostly to do with the ocean,
[44:30] Speaker 1: I think, but also a couple of times in Death
[44:33] Speaker 1: Valley that were pretty sketchy. I locked myself out of
[44:39] Speaker 1: my rig in Death Valley in Marble Canyon, which is
[44:44] Speaker 1: really far out. It's like on a crazy four x
[44:46] Speaker 1: four road, and the canyon's beautiful and amazing. But I
[44:49] Speaker 1: actually locked myself out of my truck, and I thought, okay, well,
[44:54] Speaker 1: I mean I can break a window, I can break
[44:56] Speaker 1: in right, which is fine, and so I didn't really
[45:00] Speaker 1: worry too much about it. But like later thinking about
[45:04] Speaker 1: like Mandy, like that's not that's not good. Nobody knew
[45:08] Speaker 1: where you are. You're out in the middle of nowhere.
[45:11] Speaker 1: This whole thing happened. I managed to break into my
[45:13] Speaker 1: truck without too much issue. But I also that same
[45:17] Speaker 1: trip actually got caught in a flash flood. I shouldn't
[45:22] Speaker 1: say caught in it, because I actually got through it,
[45:24] Speaker 1: but I think that a lot of the people that
[45:26] Speaker 1: were behind me up on the hill got caught in it.
[45:28] Speaker 1: A lot of cars got stuck that year that were
[45:30] Speaker 1: just it was just like crazy flashblood. And I heard
[45:33] Speaker 1: it raining. It was about two in the morning and
[45:35] Speaker 1: I heard rain, and you know, and Death Valley.
[45:38] Speaker 3: You're like, not good.
[45:39] Speaker 1: I'm in a canyon, like I got to get out
[45:41] Speaker 1: of here. So I put my tent away as fast
[45:43] Speaker 1: as I possibly could and just haul butt down the mountain.
[45:46] Speaker 1: I was over on the in the Funeral Range at
[45:49] Speaker 1: that point in time, and coming down from there, just
[45:53] Speaker 1: hauling down this hill. I could hear water coming down
[45:58] Speaker 1: like I could hear it. And you're crazy, You're not
[46:01] Speaker 1: hearing water. There's no possible way you're hearing. But I
[46:03] Speaker 1: can almost feel like hear pebbles like coming down the
[46:06] Speaker 1: mountain like at like towards me. And when I got
[46:08] Speaker 1: down to the main road and turned right to get
[46:11] Speaker 1: like away from bad Lands area at that point, so
[46:15] Speaker 1: headed out of the park towards Nova towards north.
[46:20] Speaker 3: Basically, there was so much water.
[46:22] Speaker 1: Coming down the side of the hill and the next
[46:24] Speaker 1: day people were just caught in it. There was like
[46:27] Speaker 1: jeeps that didn't get recovered. There was all sorts of
[46:29] Speaker 1: people's vehicles that didn't get recovered. But I think me
[46:32] Speaker 1: just hearing that first drop of rain at two in
[46:34] Speaker 1: the morning was like get out now, and I did.
[46:38] Speaker 3: I ended up.
[46:38] Speaker 1: Getting out and it was okay. I've had quite a
[46:41] Speaker 1: few things like that.
[46:42] Speaker 2: Yeah, you got something looking out for you, Mandy. That's
[46:46] Speaker 2: that's some You got some wild wild stuff. Do you
[46:49] Speaker 2: ever have to have you ever had any dealings with
[46:51] Speaker 2: like with forest fires out there?
[46:55] Speaker 1: No, thankfully I haven't ever dealt with that, But no forests.
[46:58] Speaker 1: I could see the forest though. I was at Pains
[47:01] Speaker 1: Lake and it had broken out in Callahan area, and
[47:06] Speaker 1: so I could tell that there was a big fire
[47:08] Speaker 1: and I was like four miles out, but it was
[47:09] Speaker 1: so far away from me at that point, I could
[47:11] Speaker 1: probably have been up there for a while without it
[47:14] Speaker 1: coming over the ridge.
[47:15] Speaker 3: Like, I could have gotten out of there if I
[47:17] Speaker 3: need so I just stayed. You know.
[47:19] Speaker 2: It was fine, Yeah, it can be. It can be
[47:23] Speaker 2: some scary stuff and I'm not sure. I mean, I've
[47:26] Speaker 2: heard that the fire season out out in the PNW
[47:31] Speaker 2: this year is going to be really really rough. It
[47:34] Speaker 2: could be a extremely rough because there's no snowpack. Do
[47:38] Speaker 2: you use like a do you use a Garmin type
[47:42] Speaker 2: of beacon when you go out or anything like that?
[47:44] Speaker 3: I don't. I should, but I don't. I'm bad, I know, dude.
[47:48] Speaker 1: And I I'm also one of those people that changes
[47:50] Speaker 1: my itinerary as I go, So, like I tell people, like,
[47:54] Speaker 1: this will be I'm climbing Mount Saint Helen's on the seventeenth.
[47:57] Speaker 1: I have a permit, but I don't know where I'm
[48:00] Speaker 1: to go in between, and like my people.
[48:02] Speaker 3: Just kind of accept that that's the way that it is.
[48:05] Speaker 1: Because a tree will wave at me from this ridge
[48:07] Speaker 1: every ear and I gotta go like I don't know,
[48:11] Speaker 1: like and so I just yeah, I'm very safe, I'm
[48:16] Speaker 1: very thorough, I'm very fit. I have good gear, I
[48:20] Speaker 1: have good water, I have a filter, I have you
[48:22] Speaker 1: know what I mean. I think the main thing for
[48:24] Speaker 1: me would be a fall. A fall would be not great.
[48:28] Speaker 1: And I've almost been bit by a rattlesnake once and
[48:30] Speaker 1: that would be not great. And so I know that
[48:32] Speaker 1: there are things and I probably should just get an
[48:35] Speaker 1: in reach or something. And I've thought about it for years, Dude,
[48:37] Speaker 1: I just haven't done it for whatever reason.
[48:41] Speaker 2: I would totally say that's a great idea. I have
[48:44] Speaker 2: one when I go out anywhere. But listeners, if you're
[48:48] Speaker 2: going out, have something like that, Please, for the love
[48:53] Speaker 2: of goodness, do it. You never know, I mean, you
[48:56] Speaker 2: never know. As you said, there's rattlesnakes out there, and
[49:00] Speaker 2: but one fall in one of these areas when you're
[49:04] Speaker 2: the only person out there and there's not a lot
[49:06] Speaker 2: of traffic that could take you out right.
[49:09] Speaker 1: Yes, for sure, for sure. And the older I get,
[49:12] Speaker 1: the more I do fall. You know, I'm forty eight
[49:14] Speaker 1: now and I fall a lot more often now. So yes,
[49:19] Speaker 1: I know, and I need to just do it. I
[49:20] Speaker 1: just wrote myself, I'm taking notes during this. Then I
[49:22] Speaker 1: just wrote a note that was like, yeah, no, be
[49:24] Speaker 1: a better role model for people. They get an enterach.
[49:29] Speaker 2: Dude, there you go. Yeah, they're good stuff. Not a sponsor,
[49:33] Speaker 2: but it's something I would recommend everyone to have. Well, Mandy,
[49:39] Speaker 2: this has been This has been really fun chatting with you.
[49:42] Speaker 2: So let's say, do you have any goals for the
[49:47] Speaker 2: next year or it sounds like a big goal would
[49:51] Speaker 2: be to get back to the Gifford Pinchot maybe search.
[49:54] Speaker 2: So I mean, you could really just spend the next
[49:57] Speaker 2: few years just really looking into the Binchot. It is
[50:00] Speaker 2: so big, you know.
[50:02] Speaker 1: Yeah, Well, and that's what I've spent twenty two years
[50:05] Speaker 1: looking into this area, right and so, and there's you
[50:09] Speaker 1: could never explore everything that's around me. So I do
[50:13] Speaker 1: come up to Oregon quite a bit. Oregon is one
[50:15] Speaker 1: of my favorite places. I believe I'll probably move there
[50:17] Speaker 1: at some point in my life. I've just started dipping
[50:20] Speaker 1: into Washington. I did a two week Olympic Peninsula trip
[50:25] Speaker 1: three years ago, and I've just kept telling myself I
[50:28] Speaker 1: need to go back up there and do that again. Also,
[50:30] Speaker 1: so I've just barely broken the surface in Washington. Honestly,
[50:34] Speaker 1: I've had a handful of hike ups, hikes up there
[50:38] Speaker 1: closely around Portland area, and then that trip up this
[50:43] Speaker 1: last trip up there last September. So, but I do
[50:46] Speaker 1: you know I would like to climb I don't know,
[50:48] Speaker 1: climb a mountain. I don't know which one I'd like
[50:50] Speaker 1: to get back up and do some stuff. I feel
[50:53] Speaker 1: like I I take a three year or forty a
[50:55] Speaker 1: weekend every month no matter what, and then I try
[50:57] Speaker 1: to do weekend hikes. Now that I'm working and I'm
[51:01] Speaker 1: not teaching or working at a school and I don't
[51:04] Speaker 1: have the two months off every year, it's been a
[51:07] Speaker 1: lot more difficult to take the trips that I would
[51:09] Speaker 1: like to take sure, so I have to kind of
[51:12] Speaker 1: fit them in, but I still do.
[51:16] Speaker 2: That's awesome. That's very important too. I think something I
[51:21] Speaker 2: will ask when people sign up, and I just want
[51:25] Speaker 2: to check. So I have people all the time like, oh,
[51:29] Speaker 2: I want to reach out to this person, how do
[51:30] Speaker 2: I reach out? So you are actually okay with people
[51:34] Speaker 2: reaching out to you?
[51:35] Speaker 1: Correct, Oh yeah, yeah, for sure, for sure. I'm so
[51:38] Speaker 1: solo that you know. I mean a good A group
[51:41] Speaker 1: of friends is a good thing. Meeting cool new people
[51:44] Speaker 1: is a good thing. And I'm actually going to be
[51:46] Speaker 1: at the Sasquatch the summer Fest. Also, I went ahead
[51:49] Speaker 1: and got tickets for that, so I'm pretty stoked to
[51:52] Speaker 1: hear some stories and meet some cool people. And so yeah,
[51:56] Speaker 1: if you see me and you recognize me, please say hi,
[51:58] Speaker 1: because I'm definitely out there to just yeah, let's just
[52:02] Speaker 1: talk about cool stuff.
[52:04] Speaker 2: That's awesome. I am looking forward to that as well.
[52:07] Speaker 2: I will be there unless something crazy happens, but I'm
[52:12] Speaker 2: sure and on being there again. Oakridge is a great time,
[52:16] Speaker 2: so I hope to meet you there as well. But
[52:18] Speaker 2: I'll have I've got some ways that Mandy has provided
[52:23] Speaker 2: and you can find those in the show notes in
[52:25] Speaker 2: the description on how to how to contact her in
[52:30] Speaker 2: case you're like, hey, I've got some info about the
[52:32] Speaker 2: Gifford Pinchow and I'm an Overlander. I know there's a
[52:34] Speaker 2: few of you guys that are also into Bigfoot, and that.
[52:39] Speaker 1: Would be so sweet. So yeah, that would be awesome.
[52:42] Speaker 1: Any kind of information would be super bad, absolutely insane
[52:46] Speaker 1: if you're.
[52:47] Speaker 3: Coming out here, you know what I mean, Like, let
[52:49] Speaker 3: me know.
[52:50] Speaker 1: And it's definitely if you're coming out here, let me know, man,
[52:52] Speaker 1: because I've got some spots.
[52:53] Speaker 2: You know, absolutely, I will keep that in my Mandy,
[52:57] Speaker 2: thank you so much for coming on the show. I
[52:58] Speaker 2: think we'll definely have to keep an eye on stuff
[53:02] Speaker 2: that you're putting out and maybe get an update it
[53:06] Speaker 2: in a year or so, see how things are going
[53:09] Speaker 2: for you and what happened when you were able to
[53:12] Speaker 2: get back into the Gifford Pinchot.
[53:15] Speaker 1: That sounds great. Thank you so much, Jeremiah's rad meeting you.
[53:17] Speaker 1: Thank you for having me on.
[53:19] Speaker 2: Thank you. Have you ever heard all the accounts of
[53:22] Speaker 2: bigfoot activity around Oakridge, Oregon and you think to yourself, Man,
[53:26] Speaker 2: I would love to get out in those woods and
[53:29] Speaker 2: experience it for myself. Well, guess what This year you can.
[53:35] Speaker 2: If this is interesting to you, stay tuned because it's
[53:38] Speaker 2: pretty cool. Sasquatch Summer Fest is coming up July tenth
[53:43] Speaker 2: through the eleventh, twenty twenty six. It's going to be
[53:46] Speaker 2: even better than the previous year's reason number one, I'll
[53:50] Speaker 2: be one of the speakers. It's going to be wild.
[53:53] Speaker 2: I'll probably I'll say this. There may be stuff you
[53:58] Speaker 2: haven't heard anywhere else, because let's just say sometimes it's well,
[54:05] Speaker 2: you just got to be there. We'll leave it that
[54:07] Speaker 2: more about looking for Bigfoot in the Oakridge Woods. Now
[54:10] Speaker 2: check this out. You may know Jason Kenzie from his
[54:15] Speaker 2: documentary series Searching for Sasquatch. Well, this year you can
[54:20] Speaker 2: not only go to the festival, but you can also
[54:24] Speaker 2: sign up for a track deep in the wild forest
[54:31] Speaker 2: outside of Oakridge with Jason Kenzie to the Bigfoot spots
[54:36] Speaker 2: to look for Bigfoot. There's only eight spots to sign
[54:39] Speaker 2: up for this, and yes, this will also be filmed
[54:44] Speaker 2: for the next chapter in his documentary series, which is
[54:46] Speaker 2: Searching for Sasquatch. This is a once in lifetime deal.
[54:50] Speaker 2: It's just it's going to be a wild, wild experience.
[54:54] Speaker 2: To get a ticket, head on over to Sasquatch Summerfest
[54:58] Speaker 2: dot com and and listeners can use the code b

[55:11] Speaker 2: So thanks to Priscilla for giving me that code so
[55:15] Speaker 2: that you guys can can get a little help with
[55:22] Speaker 2: the cost there. Appreciate that, Priscilla. I hope to see
[55:25] Speaker 2: you at the booth in Oakridge this year. We can
[55:29] Speaker 2: talk about your encounter. Was able to talk to so
[55:32] Speaker 2: many people last year and the year before. It is
[55:36] Speaker 2: an incredible time. You're not going to want to miss it,
[55:39] Speaker 2: and I'll see you there. Before we wrap this episode,
[55:43] Speaker 2: I want to say something directly to a very specific
[55:46] Speaker 2: group of listeners. If you're in the military, any branch
[55:50] Speaker 2: or forces, and if you've seen something that no one
[55:52] Speaker 2: can explain, or if you're a National Park ranger, a
[55:56] Speaker 2: forestreet worker who's been told to stay quiet. If you're
[55:59] Speaker 2: a PI who's seen something strange down on the ground,
[56:03] Speaker 2: or if you're with the FBI a federal agency, or
[56:06] Speaker 2: working intelligence and you've stumbled upon something you're not allowed
[56:09] Speaker 2: to talk about. And if you're a firefighter, paramedic, or
[56:12] Speaker 2: search and rescue responder who's heard screams or found tracks
[56:16] Speaker 2: that didn't make sense. If you're in the logging industry
[56:20] Speaker 2: on a remote oil field, or a trucker with government
[56:23] Speaker 2: contracts and you've had something happen that you've never told
[56:27] Speaker 2: a soul. And if you're a biologist, a wildlife specialist,
[56:31] Speaker 2: or a field researcher under contract who has found evidence
[56:34] Speaker 2: you're not allowed to report. If you're a pastor, a missionary,
[56:38] Speaker 2: or someone on a spiritual retreat and you saw something
[56:41] Speaker 2: that shook your faith, or if you work in the shadows, CIA, NSA,
[56:46] Speaker 2: or anything with clearance and you've seen what the public hasn't,
[56:51] Speaker 2: then I want to talk to you, even if it's anonymous.
[56:56] Speaker 2: You can reach me at Bigfoot Society at gmail dot com.
[57:00] Speaker 2: The world needs to hear what you've been forced to
[57:02] Speaker 2: carry alone. And you're not alone. You've got the story,
[57:09] Speaker 2: We've got the mic. See you in the woods. Thank
[57:13] Speaker 2: you for listening to this episode of the Bigfoot Society Podcast.
[57:15] Speaker 2: Every encounter we share reminds us that the world is
[57:18] Speaker 2: bigger and stranger than we think, and that the truth
