[0:00] Speaker 1: You're listening to Bigfoot Society, and I'm Jeremiah Byron. In
[0:03] Speaker 1: this show, we go beyond the campfire stories to bring
[0:05] Speaker 1: you first hand encounters from people who say they've seen
[0:08] Speaker 1: something impossible. From backwoods trails and remote mountain haulers to
[0:12] Speaker 1: quiet farms and crowded highways. The stories come from everywhere,
[0:16] Speaker 1: and each one leaves us with more questions than answers.
[0:20] Speaker 1: These are the voices of the people who've lived it.
[0:24] Speaker 1: So settle in because today you'll hear another account that
[0:27] Speaker 1: just might change the way you see the woods forever.
[0:30] Speaker 1: So stay with us, all right, Bigfoot Society, You've got
[0:32] Speaker 1: the privilege of talking to Ken today from down there
[0:36] Speaker 1: in the great state of Mississippi. Ken's and outdoorsmen down there,
[0:40] Speaker 1: and we got connected. He's heard a few episodes of
[0:45] Speaker 1: the show, and he's been experiencing some things down there
[0:49] Speaker 1: since about nineteen eighty nine, sounds like, so he is
[0:52] Speaker 1: going to be on the show today to share some
[0:55] Speaker 1: of those experiences. So welcome to the show.
[0:57] Speaker 2: Ken.
[0:57] Speaker 1: How's it going, sir, It's going good.
[1:00] Speaker 3: Thank you, Thank you for having me on. A lot
[1:03] Speaker 3: of this started for me back in eighty nine. I
[1:09] Speaker 3: was originally from Connecticut, born and raised there till twenty one,
[1:13] Speaker 3: and then we moved down here on two hundred and
[1:17] Speaker 3: sixteen acres of land my stepdad had and it's just
[1:24] Speaker 3: way out in the country.
[1:26] Speaker 2: It boarded up to John B.
[1:33] Speaker 3: Wildlife Refuge there, and our land was surrounded by it.
[1:38] Speaker 3: And you know, I'd go out hunting all the time
[1:40] Speaker 3: and fishing. And the one day I was out there
[1:45] Speaker 3: on the wildlife John J. Bell Wildlife Reservation and I
[1:50] Speaker 3: went out there a lot of times before, and it
[1:52] Speaker 3: was this one time I went out and I was
[1:55] Speaker 3: walking down this trail and all of a suddenly I
[1:58] Speaker 3: heard something come through the woods, probably about thirty five
[2:04] Speaker 3: yards from me, moving to the right of me through
[2:06] Speaker 3: the woods. It's sounded like a bulldozer. And I've been
[2:10] Speaker 3: in the woods my whole life, and I knew. I said,
[2:14] Speaker 3: I've heard deer take off, and you know two or
[2:16] Speaker 3: three at a time. I've heard you know, bears, honey bears,
[2:20] Speaker 3: black bears and stuff. And I said, wait, this is
[2:24] Speaker 3: something bigger than that. So I just kneeled down with
[2:29] Speaker 3: the gun and I was just sitting there and just
[2:32] Speaker 3: listening as that thing that was going through whatever it was.
[2:35] Speaker 3: I didn't know at the time. I didn't even know
[2:37] Speaker 3: these things were around there at the time, and just
[2:42] Speaker 3: listened and everything just one quiet it just stopped, but
[2:47] Speaker 3: I couldn't see anything. So I really after about twenty minutes,
[2:52] Speaker 3: I just you know, turned around, kept on walking, walked
[2:55] Speaker 3: back to our land. And the next day I went out.
[3:01] Speaker 3: It was cold. It was February. It was February first,
[3:06] Speaker 3: and I went out it was February second. The next morning,
[3:10] Speaker 3: walked down the same trail and everything, and I got
[3:13] Speaker 3: walking and down here the mud it'll freeze, but it'll
[3:18] Speaker 3: be soft you with our ground here doesn't freeze all
[3:21] Speaker 3: the time. We don't get the cold where ground freezes
[3:25] Speaker 3: like it does up north. So I was just walking
[3:28] Speaker 3: walking in the part of the woods, and there's little
[3:31] Speaker 3: bits and pieces of mud, you know, plates, little mud plates,
[3:36] Speaker 3: you know, in the woods.
[3:38] Speaker 2: I was walking.
[3:39] Speaker 3: I looked down on my right of me, and I've
[3:40] Speaker 3: seen the footprint in the mud, and that looked like
[3:45] Speaker 3: I was sitting there looking. I said, who in the
[3:47] Speaker 3: heck is walking around in the There was about three
[3:50] Speaker 3: degrees out. I said, who the heck's walking around down
[3:53] Speaker 3: here barefoot? Because the size of the foot and I
[3:57] Speaker 3: wear a ten and a half and this was probably
[3:59] Speaker 3: navy a litvan was a little bit bigger than mine,
[4:02] Speaker 3: but it had three toes to it. And I was
[4:05] Speaker 3: looking at who in the heck's got three toes walking
[4:08] Speaker 3: around two degrees weather, you know, out here in the woods.
[4:13] Speaker 3: And I kneeled down, looked at it and everything, and
[4:16] Speaker 3: you could tell it was made probably This is probably
[4:18] Speaker 3: about eight in the morning, but you could tell it
[4:20] Speaker 3: was made probably about two or three the way it
[4:23] Speaker 3: was hardening up just a little bit. So you know,
[4:26] Speaker 3: I'm looking around and looking around, and I just really
[4:31] Speaker 3: couldn't fathom what the heck it was, you know, so
[4:34] Speaker 3: I just went on hunting and went back home. After that,
[4:38] Speaker 3: we had to go get groceries. Women in the town
[4:40] Speaker 3: and this woman they still had VHS's and everything, you know,
[4:44] Speaker 3: you could get the VHS tapes on them, and that
[4:48] Speaker 3: was in the video store and looking around and everything, and.
[4:52] Speaker 2: I got this.
[4:55] Speaker 3: One of the videos. It was boggy bottom beasts and everything,
[4:58] Speaker 3: and I saw all watching I'll bring it back in
[5:00] Speaker 3: a few days. I got some other videos and I
[5:03] Speaker 3: was watching it halfway through it, and I guess when
[5:06] Speaker 3: all the people, you know, after this thing was seeing
[5:10] Speaker 3: people were getting together trying to hunt and everything. They
[5:12] Speaker 3: had one guy showing pictures of it. And I seen
[5:15] Speaker 3: the same exact footprint, and my mouth just it was
[5:22] Speaker 3: it was a feeling come over me. You couldn't even believe.
[5:25] Speaker 3: And my mouth dropped and said. I went out and
[5:29] Speaker 3: I told my mother. I said, no, I said, this
[5:31] Speaker 3: is the same exact footprint I seen yesterday in the
[5:34] Speaker 3: woods back there.
[5:35] Speaker 2: She says, well, if.
[5:37] Speaker 3: You go back there, make sure you take your gun
[5:38] Speaker 3: and everything. But I didn't think about getting a plaster
[5:43] Speaker 3: cast or anything, you know, doing anything.
[5:45] Speaker 2: I had to run back.
[5:46] Speaker 3: We were eighteen miles from town, so I mean that
[5:50] Speaker 3: was kind of out of the question. It was starting
[5:52] Speaker 3: to ice up and sleep and snow at the time,
[5:56] Speaker 3: so that was basically glid for that right there. And
[6:03] Speaker 3: people down the road from us, we knew them pretty good.
[6:05] Speaker 3: And we get talking and this is along as Tom
[6:10] Speaker 3: ten Tom Bigbie Waterway here in Mississippi.
[6:15] Speaker 2: We're about probably five.
[6:16] Speaker 3: Miles off from it, you know. And I heard from
[6:20] Speaker 3: some people down their swamps down there, and there's an
[6:25] Speaker 3: old road that goes back there, and they took an
[6:27] Speaker 3: old school bus from the sixties and put back there
[6:30] Speaker 3: in the swamps, and there was they made it a
[6:35] Speaker 3: hunting camp. They called it the squirrel camp, but there
[6:38] Speaker 3: was hunters back there. I heard about three in the
[6:40] Speaker 3: morning something come up and beat on the side of
[6:42] Speaker 3: the old school bus, and they waited until morning to
[6:47] Speaker 3: get out of there, and they took off. And I
[6:50] Speaker 3: don't know if they went back or any anything like that,
[6:54] Speaker 3: but I haven't heard any more stories about it. And
[6:58] Speaker 3: let's see, about ninety five, I moved away from the
[7:01] Speaker 3: land and I moved down the road about twelve.
[7:06] Speaker 2: Miles the place.
[7:09] Speaker 3: I thought it was just an acre of land, and
[7:13] Speaker 3: all around it was all there's nothing but woods for miles,
[7:19] Speaker 3: just land hills that looked over top of twenty mile
[7:23] Speaker 3: overlooked twenty mile bottom. And I rebuilt the house there
[7:28] Speaker 3: and lived I still have it. Lived there for quite
[7:34] Speaker 3: a long time. And about I think it was back
[7:39] Speaker 3: in two thousand and twelve, I had going through divorce
[7:46] Speaker 3: all that stuff and everything, and I was living in
[7:48] Speaker 3: my camper there on the land, and an old friend
[7:52] Speaker 3: of mine, of the family, she came by and she
[7:55] Speaker 3: had her grandkids with her, and she says, can you
[7:58] Speaker 3: do you mind if we camp down here on the
[7:59] Speaker 3: side out of the yard. And I had my son
[8:01] Speaker 3: with me at the time, I think he was about
[8:03] Speaker 3: ten or eleven, and I said no, I said go ahead.
[8:08] Speaker 3: I said, do you mind if Kenny, you know, joins
[8:10] Speaker 3: you you know, and have you know all you can
[8:13] Speaker 3: play in the yard whatever.
[8:14] Speaker 2: You want to do.
[8:15] Speaker 3: And so it came that evening time we all went
[8:18] Speaker 3: to bed.
[8:19] Speaker 2: I went to bed early.
[8:21] Speaker 3: And the next morning she woke up and she knocked
[8:27] Speaker 3: on the door. She woke me up, and she says, Kenny,
[8:29] Speaker 3: I got to talk to you. And I said, well,
[8:31] Speaker 3: what's the matter, you know, when the kids sick or something,
[8:34] Speaker 3: and she said no. She says, I've lived around here
[8:37] Speaker 3: my whole life.
[8:38] Speaker 2: And she was older.
[8:39] Speaker 3: She she's probably about seventy seven seventy eight now, but
[8:42] Speaker 3: she said, I lived around here my whole life, and
[8:45] Speaker 3: I've heard everything there is to hear in the woods.
[8:48] Speaker 3: Everything that howls, screams or whatever, barks, growls, whatever. She says,
[8:54] Speaker 3: something came up to the tent last night right threw
[8:56] Speaker 3: the right away and growled. She said, I've never heard
[9:00] Speaker 3: where I liked that before in my life. And it
[9:01] Speaker 3: said it a terrified her, So you know, I took
[9:06] Speaker 3: it kind of seriously, and you know, just I figured, well,
[9:11] Speaker 3: you know, maybe it was some kind of the animal
[9:14] Speaker 3: or something, and didn't really get it that much mind.
[9:18] Speaker 3: And I was driving the truck over the road at
[9:21] Speaker 3: the time. But I was home for that weekend, and
[9:25] Speaker 3: it was Saturday night. I was going to go to
[9:28] Speaker 3: be in Miami.
[9:31] Speaker 2: Monday morning.
[9:32] Speaker 3: And it was Friday night when they spent the night. Well,
[9:35] Speaker 3: the next night, Saturday night, I was getting ready to go.
[9:37] Speaker 3: I took a shower and everything, and it was about
[9:40] Speaker 3: nine o'clock at night, and I got my bag and
[9:42] Speaker 3: a couple of Walmart bags with groceries and stuff, and
[9:45] Speaker 3: I went out to put them in my jeep, and
[9:47] Speaker 3: I walked outside, I walked to the jeep. It was
[9:51] Speaker 3: it was a quietness I never even heard before in
[9:54] Speaker 3: my life. It was like the earth just stood still
[9:58] Speaker 3: for about two or three minutes. It was I've heard quietness,
[10:04] Speaker 3: but this this was unbelievable. And I guess if there
[10:08] Speaker 3: was you could have probably heard a squirrel break wind
[10:12] Speaker 3: probably a quarter mile away. It was so dead quiet
[10:15] Speaker 3: and you could tell something was wrong. So I put
[10:19] Speaker 3: my bags in there, and I went back inside the
[10:22] Speaker 3: camper and I was sitting at the table doing some paperwork,
[10:26] Speaker 3: and all of a sudden, it sounded like you took
[10:29] Speaker 3: twelve professional wrestlers, put them in a circle with their
[10:33] Speaker 3: arms over each other's shoulder, and spun them around in
[10:37] Speaker 3: a circle about six seventy sixty miles an hour.
[10:41] Speaker 2: It was a noise, a racket I've never even heard before.
[10:47] Speaker 3: And one they got there wasn't probably about ten about
[10:51] Speaker 3: ten fifteen yards from the woods right to the road.
[10:55] Speaker 3: And as soon as I got to the road, it
[10:56] Speaker 3: got dead quiet. It was like he turned to switch off.
[10:59] Speaker 3: It was just it was done. And I sat there
[11:03] Speaker 3: and I got chills that came up me. And I
[11:06] Speaker 3: mean I never heard anything, and just putting it all together,
[11:11] Speaker 3: that's what that's what really really got me. I knew
[11:14] Speaker 3: something was there, but I didn't know what it was.
[11:18] Speaker 3: And so I got on the phone. I called up
[11:22] Speaker 3: the road a mile away and I talked to people,
[11:25] Speaker 3: and they don't live there no more.
[11:26] Speaker 2: They're gone. I called.
[11:28] Speaker 3: They had chickens and horses and cows, and I told them,
[11:30] Speaker 3: I said, look something's outside, you know, watch make sure
[11:34] Speaker 3: the chickens are up or you know, put up for
[11:36] Speaker 3: the night and everything, and then you know, watch the cows.
[11:40] Speaker 3: I said, there's something around here. I don't know what
[11:42] Speaker 3: the heck it is, but it's it's it's eerie, and
[11:48] Speaker 3: uh and so they said, well, just you know, make
[11:52] Speaker 3: sure you got your gun, which I always did, and
[11:56] Speaker 3: uh so, I mean it was a out I'll tell
[12:00] Speaker 3: you the God's.
[12:00] Speaker 2: Own the truth.
[12:01] Speaker 3: I mean it it's a scare, but it's not like
[12:05] Speaker 3: any in reality here a scare. It's a whole different
[12:08] Speaker 3: type of fear because you know it's something and your
[12:14] Speaker 3: mind and your body just can't comprehend it. But you
[12:16] Speaker 3: know there's something there and it's it's one of the
[12:20] Speaker 3: I mean, I still think about it to this day.
[12:24] Speaker 3: You know, it doesn't it doesn't bother me. It was
[12:26] Speaker 3: just something that that happened, that was there, and uh
[12:32] Speaker 3: so I got my stuff and got gotten my jeep
[12:36] Speaker 3: and I had to go to go to work, so
[12:38] Speaker 3: I got going.
[12:39] Speaker 2: I thought about that all the way to work, and.
[12:41] Speaker 3: While I was driving Miami and back and you know,
[12:44] Speaker 3: wondering what am I going to be in for when
[12:46] Speaker 3: I get you know, get back home, you know, And
[12:52] Speaker 3: but I mean got back home and and uh, but
[12:55] Speaker 3: with screams I've heard. I got woke up about two thirty,
[13:02] Speaker 3: quarter to three in the morning, and I sleep I
[13:05] Speaker 3: sleep dead. I'm a heavy sleeper. I mean, you can
[13:09] Speaker 3: be down the window and the doors and you'd be
[13:11] Speaker 3: lucky if you can get me up. But I mean,
[13:13] Speaker 3: there was a scream across the road up on top
[13:16] Speaker 3: of the hill. It's all woods, and I mean it
[13:21] Speaker 3: sounded like a woman screaming, but it wasn't a woman.
[13:24] Speaker 2: I mean, this was a.
[13:25] Speaker 3: High pitch, strong scream that just came out from whatever
[13:31] Speaker 3: it was. And I woke right up down a bed,
[13:33] Speaker 3: I sat right up in bed, and it just it.
[13:38] Speaker 3: It was unbelievable. I had the camper. I had something
[13:42] Speaker 3: push on the side of the camper one night about
[13:45] Speaker 3: eleven o'clock and you know, look out the window. You know,
[13:50] Speaker 3: you can't see out in the dark. But I mean
[13:51] Speaker 3: I didn't see anything. But I think when I heard
[13:56] Speaker 3: that noise, like I said, twelve rush, that's the only
[14:00] Speaker 3: thing I could, you know, really put together what.
[14:03] Speaker 2: It sounded like.
[14:04] Speaker 3: It was like twelve professional wrestlers in a circle with
[14:07] Speaker 3: arms just beating each other, going around the circle to
[14:10] Speaker 3: the road and then it was dead quiet, and the
[14:12] Speaker 3: only thing I could think of was probably three or four,
[14:16] Speaker 3: maybe five juveniles trying to you know, mess with me
[14:20] Speaker 3: or something, you know, to get a get a reaction,
[14:23] Speaker 3: see what I'd do, and something like that. That's what
[14:27] Speaker 3: you know, I thought of over a long period of time.
[14:30] Speaker 3: You know, it could probably only possibly be, but.
[14:35] Speaker 2: It was.
[14:37] Speaker 3: It wasn't awakening, I'll tell you that. I mean, it's
[14:40] Speaker 3: you don't never hear see or anything, you know, and
[14:45] Speaker 3: you live in the woods your whole life and never
[14:46] Speaker 3: even have anything like that happened to you. And then
[14:50] Speaker 3: some people that does, some people that doesn't. And to me,
[14:54] Speaker 3: you know, it was like they was curious, like, well,
[14:56] Speaker 3: he's been here for years and here we are. Let's
[14:58] Speaker 3: let's just see what he's like, you know where. And
[15:02] Speaker 3: that's that's what you know, I kind of took it
[15:05] Speaker 3: as But to see one, yeah, i'd you know, I'd
[15:10] Speaker 3: love to see one, and you know, just to satisfying
[15:16] Speaker 3: you know, my curiosity about it, and you know that
[15:20] Speaker 3: that would be great. But and I have a structure
[15:27] Speaker 3: one of them what them huts they build or whatever,
[15:32] Speaker 3: you know, you see, they're inclined and everything. They have
[15:34] Speaker 3: one of those off in the woods from my land,
[15:36] Speaker 3: about probably maybe forty five yards into the woods, and
[15:43] Speaker 3: I took pictures of it and everything, and there's three
[15:46] Speaker 3: pieces of broke wood on the inside of it, sitting there,
[15:49] Speaker 3: and then there's an X on the outside next to
[15:53] Speaker 3: the probably ten feet away from the door. I didn't
[15:55] Speaker 3: realize it until my wife's seen it in the in
[15:58] Speaker 3: the camera the video made of it. She said, well,
[16:01] Speaker 3: there's an X right there. I was moving the camera
[16:04] Speaker 3: around and but yeah, they're they're there. I mean, they're
[16:09] Speaker 3: very very intelligent. I mean that there's no words for it.
[16:14] Speaker 3: You know, that's their homes. Like you know, you're in
[16:18] Speaker 3: your house, you know everything about it, that's their house.
[16:20] Speaker 3: You know, they it's you know, they're just it's beyond belief.
[16:27] Speaker 3: But I mean they're there, and it's it's you know,
[16:32] Speaker 3: that's their their home. And you know, you could, uh
[16:39] Speaker 3: the cat walk in the woods with a pile of
[16:41] Speaker 3: cotton nine your feet as quiet as you could be.
[16:43] Speaker 3: But I mean they're going to hear you, they're going
[16:45] Speaker 3: to smell you. I mean, it's just, you know, that's
[16:47] Speaker 3: their thing. It's like, say, he was in the bathroom,
[16:49] Speaker 3: you smell something, uh down in the living room, you know,
[16:53] Speaker 3: you know.
[16:54] Speaker 2: What that's there. They're just they're.
[16:58] Speaker 3: They're very very smart and h I mean, you couldn't
[17:02] Speaker 3: have fool them if you wanted to. And I think
[17:05] Speaker 3: if they you've seen one, or they're interested in doing
[17:10] Speaker 3: something and they didn't think about it and maybe caught
[17:12] Speaker 3: a glimpse of them. And they're just they're very very intelligent.
[17:20] Speaker 3: And up the road, uh from where my place is,
[17:24] Speaker 3: there's a pond, a big pond and it's probably about
[17:28] Speaker 3: four acre pond, three and a half four acre pond.
[17:31] Speaker 3: And uh, I used to go up there and go fishing.
[17:34] Speaker 3: I just got small bass in there, and I pulled
[17:38] Speaker 3: down to the pond. When you pull down it, there's
[17:40] Speaker 3: like a big finger to the right that comes out
[17:42] Speaker 3: that you can't see on the other.
[17:43] Speaker 2: Side of the water.
[17:46] Speaker 3: The other side where the water is, you can see
[17:48] Speaker 3: the left side of the water. I pulled up there
[17:50] Speaker 3: and got down on the truck and got my fishing
[17:52] Speaker 3: pole and I closed the door, and it sounded like
[17:57] Speaker 3: an elephant coming out of the water.
[18:00] Speaker 2: On the other side of that. You could tell I
[18:01] Speaker 2: had two legs.
[18:02] Speaker 3: It wasn't like a deer, you know, trying.
[18:06] Speaker 2: To get out. This was just true both through.
[18:12] Speaker 3: The water, like he was trying to get out of
[18:14] Speaker 3: the water real quick, and then it got to got
[18:18] Speaker 3: to the land.
[18:19] Speaker 2: And it just stopped dead quiet.
[18:22] Speaker 3: I mean you could have heard a penny drop from
[18:24] Speaker 3: a pennant drop, just dead quiet. And uh, I mean
[18:33] Speaker 3: I sat there, no, I'm I'm not fishing, and I
[18:37] Speaker 3: just got back in the truck and turned around and
[18:40] Speaker 3: you know, went away because you could tell the the
[18:42] Speaker 3: weight of this thing, the size of it, and it's
[18:46] Speaker 3: snow bear and it's snow deer.
[18:47] Speaker 2: It's not two or three deers in they're.
[18:50] Speaker 3: Going to the you know, when they're taking a bath
[18:53] Speaker 3: or getting a drink or just you know, soaking in
[18:55] Speaker 3: the water. I mean, this thing, you could hear it
[18:57] Speaker 3: come out of it, and it was coming out quick.
[19:00] Speaker 3: And I said, now I'm just going back to the house.
[19:02] Speaker 2: That's that's it.
[19:04] Speaker 3: And and there's some other other things too. Let me
[19:11] Speaker 3: see a lot of this stuff's happened through the years
[19:14] Speaker 3: and trying to remember it, you know, and.
[19:21] Speaker 2: Just a lot of.
[19:23] Speaker 3: A lot of small things. I've never seen one. I
[19:27] Speaker 3: always have always wanted to see one I've heard things
[19:33] Speaker 3: in the in the woods, and but to see one, no,
[19:39] Speaker 3: I haven't. I mean, I've sat out there with my
[19:41] Speaker 3: wife and me and we'd make a fire and you know,
[19:45] Speaker 3: sit down there till one two in the morning. You know,
[19:48] Speaker 3: you have a feeling that something's watching you. You know,
[19:52] Speaker 3: something's there off in the woods. But for it to
[19:56] Speaker 3: come up or anything, I wish you would have came up,
[19:58] Speaker 3: you know, and we could have seen a silhouet, firelight,
[20:00] Speaker 3: you know, or something that would have been would have
[20:03] Speaker 3: been good. But you know, never never had nothing happen.
[20:08] Speaker 3: And I had. I got an apple tree there, and
[20:12] Speaker 3: this happened this past summer. The apples come out and everything.
[20:16] Speaker 3: We had had quite a few of them on the tree.
[20:22] Speaker 3: And where the tree was, the grass around it, it
[20:25] Speaker 3: was all matted down. It looked like somebody just laid there.
[20:29] Speaker 3: It was matted, matted down. And I walked up the
[20:34] Speaker 3: tree and I seen the one. I said, where the
[20:35] Speaker 3: hecked all the apples go? And I looked up there
[20:38] Speaker 3: and there's just one sitting right there in the middle.
[20:41] Speaker 3: It's like they they took all the apples off and
[20:43] Speaker 3: just left here.
[20:44] Speaker 2: We left you.
[20:45] Speaker 3: We didn't want to take them all and I said, yeah,
[20:48] Speaker 3: I said they got them. And in the same with
[20:53] Speaker 3: the plumb tree, I had the same thing there. If
[20:55] Speaker 3: I don't go out and tick them when they're right,
[20:58] Speaker 3: they'll be gone two days later and then I'll have
[21:02] Speaker 3: h just have regular you know, the ones that aren't
[21:05] Speaker 3: ripe or haven't gotten soft or anything.
[21:08] Speaker 2: And uh, but.
[21:11] Speaker 3: Yeah, that's uh, that's basically about you know about it.
[21:17] Speaker 2: There's been you can tell.
[21:21] Speaker 3: You know, you get a feeling, you know that something's there,
[21:25] Speaker 3: you know, but you just can't. I mean, you could
[21:27] Speaker 3: sit out there forever and wait and wait to see one.
[21:29] Speaker 3: You never see one, and then you know, it's just
[21:33] Speaker 3: it's just hitting it at the right time, and even
[21:37] Speaker 3: though you're not looking for it, you know, that's usually
[21:41] Speaker 3: when you end up something happens, you know.
[21:45] Speaker 2: But I've never smelt nothing. I've never.
[21:51] Speaker 3: Never really felt threatened by them or nothing. You know,
[21:54] Speaker 3: you just you know, you know they're there, but when
[21:57] Speaker 3: they come around, you know, you just don't know.
[22:00] Speaker 2: It'll just something will.
[22:01] Speaker 1: Happen, right right, absolutely, now, all these things that you've
[22:07] Speaker 1: been sharing, they do they all pretty much take place
[22:10] Speaker 1: in Tishamingo County.
[22:14] Speaker 3: No This was in Lee County at mile the place
[22:17] Speaker 3: over there, that's right, the Natches Trace is just a
[22:22] Speaker 3: mile up the road. And yeah, I don't know if
[22:26] Speaker 3: I told you before.
[22:27] Speaker 2: I think I did.
[22:28] Speaker 3: My wife had surgery about three months ago and she
[22:33] Speaker 3: had to stay in the hospital for four days. And
[22:35] Speaker 3: when you come up to Natchez Trace, we go my
[22:40] Speaker 3: Lands about a mile from it. But at mile marker
[22:43] Speaker 3: two seventy eight, I had her daughter in the car
[22:46] Speaker 3: with me and we were going back home to Tishamingo.
[22:49] Speaker 3: She had to stay in the hospital for four days
[22:51] Speaker 3: next surgery, and it was raining. It wasn't it wasn't
[22:56] Speaker 3: coming a flood or anything like that downpour, but it
[22:59] Speaker 3: was it was raining pretty good. And we just where
[23:05] Speaker 3: my Land is off from the Trace a mile. You
[23:08] Speaker 3: can't see it, but I'm just aware of it. And
[23:11] Speaker 3: we were just coming down the road and we turned
[23:13] Speaker 3: the corner. It's kind of zigzagged through there, kind of
[23:17] Speaker 3: snake shaped a little bit. And when you come around
[23:19] Speaker 3: the hills on there's hills on the right side, and
[23:23] Speaker 3: we came around one and the lights just hit it
[23:26] Speaker 3: and for about two and a half seconds, and I
[23:29] Speaker 3: seen one standing right there on the hill to the
[23:31] Speaker 3: left side of it. I didn't get to see the
[23:35] Speaker 3: face or the head or anything, but I've seen the
[23:37] Speaker 3: left side of it with like a hand down an
[23:40] Speaker 3: arm down in front of its leg. But I could
[23:43] Speaker 3: see the black hair, and I could see red red
[23:46] Speaker 3: in the hair, you know, and water dripping off it.
[23:49] Speaker 3: But it was only for about two and a half seconds,
[23:52] Speaker 3: you know, when you go by go by it. And
[23:54] Speaker 3: I didn't say nothing to her daughter, because I didn't
[23:56] Speaker 3: know she would have, you know, flipped down or freaked out,
[23:59] Speaker 3: because if if it was me, I would have probably stopped,
[24:04] Speaker 3: you know and looked in the back mirror, in the
[24:07] Speaker 3: glass or something, you know, to see it. But I
[24:11] Speaker 3: just played like there was nothing there, even though I
[24:13] Speaker 3: seen it. And I didn't say nothing to her til
[24:17] Speaker 3: about three days later, and my wife and he were
[24:21] Speaker 3: she I told her about it. When I got home.
[24:23] Speaker 3: I called her on the phone and told her, I says,
[24:25] Speaker 3: you ain't gonna believe what I seen, you know, standing
[24:28] Speaker 3: on the hill, and uh it was.
[24:32] Speaker 2: It was dark. It was about eight o'clock at.
[24:34] Speaker 3: Night, and just we came around the corner, it flashed
[24:36] Speaker 3: down the hill right there, and there it was standing
[24:38] Speaker 3: just dead as a ah as a tree. I mean,
[24:43] Speaker 3: just standing there like they're not going to see me.
[24:48] Speaker 2: You know.
[24:50] Speaker 3: It was it wasn't shocking. It was like there it
[24:52] Speaker 3: is and then that's it. You go by and you
[24:56] Speaker 3: get thinking, that's the only time I'm going to ever get.
[24:57] Speaker 2: To see one. Mm hmm.
[25:00] Speaker 3: Yeah, but it was, yeah, that's the only time I did,
[25:06] Speaker 3: you know, actually get a image of it or see
[25:10] Speaker 3: it was that right there.
[25:13] Speaker 2: And but to see.
[25:14] Speaker 3: One come up, you know, I mean i'd really like to,
[25:16] Speaker 3: you know, after everything, you know, just well there you are,
[25:20] Speaker 3: you know, and.
[25:23] Speaker 2: You know that would be it.
[25:25] Speaker 3: But but yeah, there there's something else. I mean, they
[25:29] Speaker 3: you know, they can you know, be quiet as anything.
[25:35] Speaker 3: And here in Tishamingo where I'm at my wife's house,
[25:39] Speaker 3: we got there's there's and yeah another thing. They'll follow
[25:43] Speaker 3: creeks and slews and everything, you know, for water. They're
[25:46] Speaker 3: around water most of the time. And we got a
[25:50] Speaker 3: couple of creeks around the house here that go go
[25:52] Speaker 3: by and across the street in the woods. And then
[25:57] Speaker 3: my wife and me we were out sitting on the
[26:00] Speaker 3: front the porch out here and we heard something more
[26:03] Speaker 3: even at about ten o'clock at night.
[26:05] Speaker 2: It was just a.
[26:08] Speaker 3: I can't duplicate what the sound was, but it was
[26:11] Speaker 3: just a kind of just way about probably close to
[26:18] Speaker 3: a mile in the woods or three quarters of a mile,
[26:21] Speaker 3: but it was in a distance. She said, you hear that,
[26:25] Speaker 3: and I says, yeah, I said, there's one. There's got
[26:28] Speaker 3: to be one back there, and uh, because it's real
[26:31] Speaker 3: thick back in there and snaky and uh. And then
[26:37] Speaker 3: behind the house here, I've had a eye shine through
[26:41] Speaker 3: the woods at night. I was walking up there and
[26:44] Speaker 3: I got looking at I was up there with the dog.
[26:48] Speaker 3: Dog was going to the took the dog out, and
[26:51] Speaker 3: I was looking through the woods and I said, well,
[26:53] Speaker 3: darn it, there's no house over there.
[26:55] Speaker 2: There's a house way in back of it, up on
[26:58] Speaker 2: the hill. But it was yellow looking, you know. Lights.
[27:04] Speaker 3: There was just one of them, and then there was two,
[27:06] Speaker 3: and then one like it went back behind a tree.
[27:09] Speaker 3: And I got looking and it looked like it would
[27:11] Speaker 3: fade out a little bit and then it would kind
[27:13] Speaker 3: of brighten up a little bit, and you know, and
[27:16] Speaker 3: I'm sitting there looking at it, and I says, no,
[27:18] Speaker 3: there's those the people up there, the neighbors. They don't
[27:22] Speaker 3: have anything in the woods there. And I did tell
[27:26] Speaker 3: my wife about it the first night, and the second
[27:28] Speaker 3: night I went out there and I looked and and.
[27:33] Speaker 2: I got, you know, just standing there. I guess they
[27:35] Speaker 2: can pick you up.
[27:36] Speaker 3: They can sense when you're there, you know, and everything,
[27:38] Speaker 3: smell you and everything. And there it was again. There
[27:42] Speaker 3: was just one eye, you know, just it wasn't glow
[27:46] Speaker 3: and bright. It was like a yellow kind of faded,
[27:54] Speaker 3: you know, like a parking light on the front of
[27:56] Speaker 3: a vehicle, to yellow like that is round. And uh,
[28:01] Speaker 3: it wasn't red or anything. It was just a yellow,
[28:04] Speaker 3: yellowish looking green and just just right there. It wasn't
[28:08] Speaker 3: bright or anything. It was just enough so you could
[28:10] Speaker 3: see it, and then it was gone, and then it
[28:13] Speaker 3: would come back again and and but yeah, it's it's
[28:21] Speaker 3: there's something. I mean, they can live around in communities too,
[28:24] Speaker 3: I guess, you know, as long as there's woods around,
[28:27] Speaker 3: you know, for like an escape route or something. But yeah,
[28:30] Speaker 3: they're and from what I hear, you know, watching the
[28:34] Speaker 3: podcasts and everything, and you know, other people's stories there,
[28:38] Speaker 3: you know, it's basically the same thing here. We don't
[28:41] Speaker 3: have the big h you know, mountains like they do
[28:45] Speaker 3: out in Washington and Oregon.
[28:47] Speaker 2: And Colorado and everything.
[28:49] Speaker 3: But we got you know, dense woods and hills and
[28:53] Speaker 3: hollers and you know rivers and creeks and streams and
[28:57] Speaker 3: and uh, you know, they're just they're a lot more
[29:02] Speaker 3: closer than what people think. But they'll never know it,
[29:05] Speaker 3: you know, you'll never realize it. And until you hear
[29:08] Speaker 3: something or actually see something. And let's see where the
[29:16] Speaker 3: other Jobe I used to do.
[29:17] Speaker 2: It.
[29:17] Speaker 3: Used to go down here and take a couple of
[29:19] Speaker 3: the old roads going to work, and I'd get on
[29:22] Speaker 3: the one of the main roads that goes down the
[29:25] Speaker 3: tom Bigby Waterway down here, and I'd have to be
[29:31] Speaker 3: to work at six o'clock in the morning. And there's
[29:33] Speaker 3: a bunch of fields and one morning is just about
[29:39] Speaker 3: where you could see but you really couldn't see, is
[29:42] Speaker 3: just where light was just coming up. And I went
[29:45] Speaker 3: by this one field and I looked off there and
[29:47] Speaker 3: there was a stump, Well there's something. It was still dark,
[29:50] Speaker 3: but it was a big gray shape standing next to it.
[29:55] Speaker 3: It was just like a grayish, not white, but a gray.
[29:58] Speaker 3: And I said, that's weird. Seen me before, you know,
[30:02] Speaker 3: usually it's just that stump, just a big stump, like old, big, huge,
[30:05] Speaker 3: sweet gum stump that someone cut down years ago. When
[30:10] Speaker 3: I said, that's weird. What the heck was that standing
[30:12] Speaker 3: next to you know, And then it kind of hit me.
[30:15] Speaker 3: I said, well, it could you know, I didn't know
[30:18] Speaker 3: if they were gray or not, but I said, it
[30:20] Speaker 3: probably could have been them, you know, if it was gray.
[30:24] Speaker 3: And it's just, you know, it's those little things like that.
[30:28] Speaker 3: They just things will just happen when you don't expect them.
[30:33] Speaker 1: You know, absolutely, this area of Lee County and surrounding
[30:40] Speaker 1: areas that we've been talking about, are people receptive to
[30:45] Speaker 1: talking about what they're experiencing down there? Or is it
[30:47] Speaker 1: a thing where you don't really hear a lot of
[30:50] Speaker 1: it about it down there?
[30:52] Speaker 2: You don't. You don't hear a lot of it a
[30:55] Speaker 2: lot about it.
[30:56] Speaker 3: You know. I've been down here since eighty nine, and
[31:00] Speaker 3: even you know, back then, people to oh, yes, it's
[31:03] Speaker 3: just an old you heard a kyo or something, or no,
[31:06] Speaker 3: it's just not a kyoke.
[31:10] Speaker 2: And may but and people hunt down here.
[31:13] Speaker 3: You got thousands upon thousands of hunters of all ages,
[31:18] Speaker 3: you know, all through the years. And I'm sure they've
[31:21] Speaker 3: seen things and heard things, but they're not going to
[31:23] Speaker 3: say nothing. But it's like anything else, you don't, you know,
[31:26] Speaker 3: want someone say yeah, he's you know, crazy or wanting
[31:30] Speaker 3: attention or something, or wanting you know, to bring up
[31:34] Speaker 3: something he can talk about which ain't true, you know,
[31:36] Speaker 3: or whatever. And you know, it is my instincts of
[31:41] Speaker 3: what I know, you know, my age. There's there's been
[31:45] Speaker 3: people that have seen it and heard it and everything,
[31:47] Speaker 3: but they're not going to say nothing about it. They
[31:49] Speaker 3: don't want to be ridiculed or laughed at. That's basically
[31:53] Speaker 3: it just be laughed at. And you know, but I mean,
[31:59] Speaker 3: if you know, people see these things, you know, and
[32:05] Speaker 3: and I guess they don't want to bring a lot
[32:06] Speaker 3: of people to We had something happen when I lived
[32:11] Speaker 3: on that like in the beginning when I was talking.
[32:15] Speaker 3: After I left the I call it the farm. I
[32:17] Speaker 3: helped build a farm for my mom and stepdad there
[32:20] Speaker 3: in Premis County the first time. And when I seen
[32:24] Speaker 3: the footprint out in the woods out there. When I
[32:26] Speaker 3: moved away from there, my mother called me. It was
[32:30] Speaker 3: about We talked all the time, and there was one
[32:34] Speaker 3: day she called me about three months later and she says,
[32:36] Speaker 3: you ain't gonna believe what's going on up here. And
[32:39] Speaker 3: I says, what she says, the whole dirt road because
[32:42] Speaker 3: the road's still a dirt road there. She said, there's
[32:44] Speaker 3: cars and people walking up and down the road. They're
[32:48] Speaker 3: bumper to bumper. And she went out and asked him, says,
[32:51] Speaker 3: what what's wrong? Is there a wreck or something? She says, no,
[32:54] Speaker 3: we're try and investigate bigfoot, you know everything. And I said, oh, shoot,
[33:00] Speaker 3: that somebody must have you know, seen something. You know,
[33:03] Speaker 3: they're found some footprints or whatever, you know. And but
[33:07] Speaker 3: I mean, as soon as it was like a they
[33:10] Speaker 3: just just flocked direct to the as soon as somebody
[33:14] Speaker 3: said something. And you know, that's what a lot of people,
[33:17] Speaker 3: a lot of people, I think they'd want to say something,
[33:20] Speaker 3: but they hunt on other people's land and stuff, and
[33:22] Speaker 3: they don't want to bring the attraction to it of people,
[33:25] Speaker 3: you know, because the word gets out and you got
[33:28] Speaker 3: you know a lot of younger people, Hey let's go
[33:30] Speaker 3: someone heard something over here. Let's go over here, and
[33:33] Speaker 3: you know this and that, and they don't want to
[33:35] Speaker 3: bring the attraction, you know, to the the person's place
[33:39] Speaker 3: they're hunting. On or whatever, and but yeah, there's there's
[33:46] Speaker 3: there has to be a lot of people that have
[33:47] Speaker 3: seen them. They're just not they're not saying nothing, and
[33:51] Speaker 3: you know, for whatever you know reason it is, but
[33:55] Speaker 3: there's you know, one hundred percent, I can guarantee a
[33:59] Speaker 3: lot of them have seen you know, footprints or they've
[34:01] Speaker 3: seen something and you know, just won't say nothing about it,
[34:06] Speaker 3: or it may have you know, traumatized them, you know,
[34:09] Speaker 3: to the point, you know, to where you know, I
[34:12] Speaker 3: don't want to get back in that memory or whatever,
[34:14] Speaker 3: because I mean, I can remember when I heard that
[34:18] Speaker 3: outside of my place there in Lee County. I mean,
[34:21] Speaker 3: it was it's it's something you never hear in your life,
[34:25] Speaker 3: that kind of noise, even though you hear different noises
[34:30] Speaker 3: in interstate everything. When it's dead quiet and you hear
[34:33] Speaker 3: something happened like that, it's it's like Frankenstein come into
[34:39] Speaker 3: life or something. I mean, it's just it's unbelievable and
[34:44] Speaker 3: it'll traumatize you for a little bit. And because you're
[34:49] Speaker 3: buyue in your mind, aren't used to hearing something like that,
[34:54] Speaker 3: it's just it's it's it's something you never hear. And
[34:56] Speaker 3: then all of a suddenly boom it does. And that's
[35:01] Speaker 3: just that'll grab hold of you for a little bit,
[35:04] Speaker 3: if for a while, and you know, but yeah, there's
[35:12] Speaker 3: people they've they've seen it, and they're all around here.
[35:16] Speaker 3: Not for the people even over in Tremont, Mississippi, down
[35:19] Speaker 3: there and uh down Highway twenty three south and an
[35:24] Speaker 3: old fire tower and stuff. There's a lot of them
[35:27] Speaker 3: that are out there, and you know, bigfoots and uh,
[35:31] Speaker 3: they're all around there. There's a lot more than you
[35:35] Speaker 3: know what a lot of people think. They're just they
[35:38] Speaker 3: don't want to be seen, you know, and if they do,
[35:40] Speaker 3: it's it could be because of a mistake or something
[35:43] Speaker 3: like oh shoot, I just I got you know, it's
[35:46] Speaker 3: seen me, you know, when I'm turning around moved going back.
[35:50] Speaker 3: But you know, it's just uh, I don't know if
[35:56] Speaker 3: you could talk to them, which probably never could probably do,
[35:59] Speaker 3: but you know, maybe you can, maybe you can't, but
[36:01] Speaker 3: I mean, if you could, and just let it tell
[36:04] Speaker 3: you all about it, you know, and why it doesn't
[36:05] Speaker 3: want to you know, be seen or like they're you know,
[36:14] Speaker 3: maybe there's a lot more or less of them now
[36:17] Speaker 3: than what there used to be. And people, you know,
[36:20] Speaker 3: building all the time and putting up stuff, and you
[36:24] Speaker 3: know it's just could be pissing them off because i
[36:26] Speaker 3: mean the outside there their house, you know, and somebody
[36:30] Speaker 3: comes in and takes an acre or two and you
[36:33] Speaker 3: know really get them, you know, irritated and upset or something,
[36:38] Speaker 3: and you just you just never know. It's the outsides
[36:41] Speaker 3: their their world.
[36:46] Speaker 1: It man, that would that's that's what we I'm sorry,
[36:49] Speaker 1: that's what we wish for. I think is uh oh yeah,
[36:52] Speaker 1: to have a conversation like that with I mean, it
[36:57] Speaker 1: might happen someday, you never know, but.
[37:00] Speaker 3: Oh shoot, yeah, I'll go out right now and cook
[37:02] Speaker 3: them a piece of liver or something every night if
[37:04] Speaker 3: they come up and you know, talk or mumble or
[37:07] Speaker 3: do something, you know, and but yeah, you don't never
[37:13] Speaker 3: know that one day could come, you know. But you know,
[37:17] Speaker 3: I never thought I'd have any kind of experiences like
[37:20] Speaker 3: I did until you know, you stumble across it. And
[37:23] Speaker 3: that's basically what I did. I just stumbled, you know,
[37:26] Speaker 3: across it. You know there's a footprint and they're checking
[37:30] Speaker 3: you out more than you actually know. You know, that's
[37:35] Speaker 3: it's like someone didn't knock on the door at your house.
[37:37] Speaker 3: And they came in and walked in your kitchen or
[37:40] Speaker 3: something standing there. He's there's someone in the house here.
[37:43] Speaker 3: You know, there's something that's main right. And that's how
[37:47] Speaker 3: it is with them. They just they know what's going
[37:49] Speaker 3: on all the time, you know. But yeah, it's but
[37:55] Speaker 3: to be threatened by one or I didn't hear wood knocks,
[37:58] Speaker 3: but I heard there was a segment I was watching
[38:02] Speaker 3: the other night, I don't know if it was last night,
[38:04] Speaker 3: and it kind of rang a bell and this guy
[38:09] Speaker 3: was talking about I think it was on your show
[38:12] Speaker 3: where the wood knocks aren't really wood knops, but it's
[38:14] Speaker 3: like a and it hit a bell with me because
[38:19] Speaker 3: he was talking about it comes from their chest like
[38:23] Speaker 3: a you know, or that knocked and sound, and it
[38:28] Speaker 3: hit me. I mean, my eyes open. I said, it
[38:30] Speaker 3: probably is because when I went to school, I was
[38:33] Speaker 3: in fourth and fifth grade, we had a a Korean
[38:36] Speaker 3: boy who came over from Korean. He couldn't speak a
[38:39] Speaker 3: word of English. I helped him and he was just,
[38:42] Speaker 3: you know, couldn't figure nothing out. But he told me
[38:46] Speaker 3: as he progressed their time what he could do. They
[38:50] Speaker 3: always trained for war over there, and as young kids
[38:53] Speaker 3: they trained them, and he says, what we would do,
[38:55] Speaker 3: we'd have these with our palette and our tongue. We
[39:00] Speaker 3: snap like a knock. You know.
[39:03] Speaker 2: It's but real loud.
[39:07] Speaker 3: And the way he could do it, it could almost
[39:10] Speaker 3: deafen you. I mean it was so darn loud you
[39:13] Speaker 3: could hear it a mile away. How he'd take his
[39:16] Speaker 3: you know, tongue to the top of his mouth and
[39:18] Speaker 3: make like a knocking noise. And that's that's what I
[39:23] Speaker 3: thought about last night when I was watching. I said,
[39:25] Speaker 3: you know, if they're not beaten, you know, on wood
[39:28] Speaker 3: or something, that's got to be it. They're doing it
[39:30] Speaker 3: with their palette, you know, coming out from their their chest,
[39:34] Speaker 3: the air hitting the palette and their tongue. Because it's
[39:38] Speaker 3: the same thing. You know this I'm going to say
[39:41] Speaker 3: his name, but what he would do, and it was loud.
[39:45] Speaker 3: If you were in a room and he done it,
[39:46] Speaker 3: it's just it's loud. And that's how they'd communicate his
[39:50] Speaker 3: kids back then when they're like on a war field
[39:53] Speaker 3: or something they train when there was kids for war.
[39:56] Speaker 2: And that kind of hit me.
[39:57] Speaker 3: I said, well, that's probably the same thing, because you
[40:00] Speaker 3: a tree knock and unless you've got a real good
[40:03] Speaker 3: piece of oak. Even if you've got a piece of
[40:05] Speaker 3: pine and you hit it, it's gonna break or snap.
[40:07] Speaker 2: You're not gonna hear. You know. You gotta have hard
[40:12] Speaker 2: wood in your hands.
[40:13] Speaker 3: You can't have something that's half dead, you know, we're
[40:18] Speaker 3: half rudded away and make a good knock. So I
[40:22] Speaker 3: got thinking about that, and I says, well, if they
[40:24] Speaker 3: don't either they do use the wood, you know, which
[40:27] Speaker 3: they probably do too also, but they also use that
[40:32] Speaker 3: their palette and snapping the top of their tongue to
[40:35] Speaker 3: their coming off of it, like snapping gum almost like
[40:38] Speaker 3: how somebody's you know, a pop gum, a snap of gum.
[40:42] Speaker 2: But it's really really loud. And uh, that's just it just.
[40:51] Speaker 3: Got me, you know, thinking last night when I was
[40:53] Speaker 3: watching that and things start coming into you know, sequence
[40:57] Speaker 3: with things, and you're sitting there and you say, yeah,
[41:00] Speaker 3: that's how they could probably do it, you.
[41:03] Speaker 1: Know, yeah, I mean the logic, I mean lot, Okay,
[41:09] Speaker 1: So logically, the chances that you have a stick within
[41:16] Speaker 1: reach at any given time that you can hit against
[41:20] Speaker 1: a tree, So you have to be by a tree,
[41:23] Speaker 1: you have to have a stick, yeah, all the time,
[41:25] Speaker 1: and that just logically doesn't work. So your example, I
[41:30] Speaker 1: think is a good one, but also another one I've
[41:33] Speaker 1: heard and I know people that can do this. I think, Yeah,
[41:36] Speaker 1: my buddy Jonathan easily can do this as well. They
[41:41] Speaker 1: take you take your hands and kind of cup them
[41:44] Speaker 1: and then hit them together in front of your mouth,
[41:47] Speaker 1: and that kind of can make a loud noise as well,
[41:49] Speaker 1: so that potentially could be it as well. But it's
[41:54] Speaker 1: just it's extremely interesting. Or maybe it's just a mimic
[41:57] Speaker 1: sound that they do too, you know, because they're miming
[42:00] Speaker 1: all sorts of sounds. But it is a very interesting thing,
[42:05] Speaker 1: you know. Do you have any thoughts about down there
[42:10] Speaker 1: in that area when you're expecting, you know, to run
[42:14] Speaker 1: into a bigfoot or to have a sighting, are you
[42:17] Speaker 1: expecting to see something that's more of like some kind
[42:21] Speaker 1: of you know, undiscovered great ape or maybe something that's
[42:24] Speaker 1: more closer to a human or do you have any
[42:28] Speaker 1: thoughts about that?
[42:29] Speaker 3: Yeah, I my wife and me talked about it, and
[42:33] Speaker 3: I mean I'm fifty seven years old, and even he
[42:37] Speaker 3: even in when I lived in Connecticut til you know,
[42:40] Speaker 3: twenty one, and my dad he had big foot books
[42:43] Speaker 3: and everything, and We watched all them shows, you know,
[42:46] Speaker 3: growing up through the seventies and even with Leonard need
[42:50] Speaker 3: Mooys Bigfoot and you know, all that stuff went all
[42:53] Speaker 3: through that and to this day right now really thinking
[43:00] Speaker 3: about it and how it looks. It's got the human.
[43:04] Speaker 2: Look to it.
[43:05] Speaker 3: You know, they're all I think, they're all different, just
[43:08] Speaker 3: like with people, you got different looks. Big foots, you
[43:10] Speaker 3: got different their faces. You know, their bodies. Some say
[43:14] Speaker 3: they're thin, you know, tall muscular, some are big, and
[43:19] Speaker 3: they're just like to me, they're probably just like different people.
[43:24] Speaker 3: You know, you never know what one you're going to
[43:25] Speaker 3: run into. And uh, my wife and me, we've talked
[43:30] Speaker 3: about it a lot of times and watching a lot
[43:32] Speaker 3: of the shows, and I think what it really is
[43:37] Speaker 3: is a descendant from the way descendants way down from
[43:47] Speaker 3: the Nephilus back then. Because if you look at their feet,
[43:51] Speaker 3: neh of them go look, they're just they look just
[43:53] Speaker 3: like Bigfoot there.
[43:54] Speaker 2: They got huge feet.
[43:56] Speaker 3: And you know, to me, you know, the only thing
[44:00] Speaker 3: it's it's not an ape. It's not a monkey, you
[44:04] Speaker 3: know or anything like that. It's got too much human instincts,
[44:08] Speaker 3: you know. And the Nephelm, I mean they made it
[44:13] Speaker 3: with so many different things. I mean, it's unbelievable. They
[44:17] Speaker 3: probably made it with apes and stuff and you know,
[44:20] Speaker 3: probably anything that was out there, and you just never know,
[44:23] Speaker 3: you know, what's gonna come up. You know, like there's
[44:25] Speaker 3: good ones, there's good big foots, there's bad big foots,
[44:29] Speaker 3: just like there is with people, you know, and you
[44:32] Speaker 3: read the stories and you know, like the military has
[44:35] Speaker 3: in North Carolina have to go in there. They got
[44:39] Speaker 3: really aggressive ones and bad ones they've had to take
[44:41] Speaker 3: them out. But then you got some that I mean,
[44:44] Speaker 3: they you know, you just you'd never know what you're
[44:47] Speaker 3: gonna get, you know, And I just always keeping.
[44:53] Speaker 2: Excuse me, I got a dry throat tonight.
[44:57] Speaker 3: I just always keep in mind too, you know, like
[44:59] Speaker 3: my dad or my stepdad would say, you know, just
[45:03] Speaker 3: watch what you're gonna what you're looking for, because you
[45:05] Speaker 3: just might find it, you know.
[45:08] Speaker 2: And uh, you know you could.
[45:11] Speaker 3: Do you know, have good ones and bad ones, and
[45:14] Speaker 3: you got inbreaded ones you know, learned from you know,
[45:17] Speaker 3: over the years, like the Three Toes, like the one
[45:19] Speaker 3: I see. I didn't know it at the time I
[45:21] Speaker 3: seen it that I was inbreaded, but they say that
[45:23] Speaker 3: the ones with the three toes are umbreaded, and.
[45:26] Speaker 2: I got thinking back. I said, yeah, that's.
[45:28] Speaker 3: All I need right there here, you know, come up
[45:31] Speaker 3: on one of them and he's in a pissed off mood.
[45:33] Speaker 3: And you know, if I mean, they could snap you
[45:36] Speaker 3: in half or just hit you one time, and I mean,
[45:38] Speaker 3: that would be it.
[45:39] Speaker 2: You'd be gone.
[45:41] Speaker 3: And you know, you just you don't never know, you
[45:45] Speaker 3: don't never know what you're going to run into. And
[45:51] Speaker 3: I've heard yeah, when I was on the land, uh,
[45:56] Speaker 3: I called the land the farm. Well, my mom and
[45:58] Speaker 3: my stepdad they're trying to county up there in the woods.
[46:03] Speaker 3: We knew a game ward and I ain't going to
[46:06] Speaker 3: say his name or anything, but he's retired now and everything.
[46:10] Speaker 3: He probably watched these shows. I get talking to him,
[46:16] Speaker 3: you know and everything, and I said, you sure there
[46:18] Speaker 3: ain't anything down there, you know, in the bottoms. He'd said,
[46:22] Speaker 3: I don't know. You know, I don't He'd say, I
[46:24] Speaker 3: don't know. And then next time I get talked to
[46:28] Speaker 3: he'd come over to the house. Because we had a
[46:30] Speaker 3: damn we just built and at a three fifty seven,
[46:33] Speaker 3: I always had one hundred and twenty five grain bullets
[46:36] Speaker 3: in it. And he had one, and I says, what
[46:39] Speaker 3: kind of grain bullets do you have? And your you know,
[46:42] Speaker 3: use and yours he says, I repacked mine with two
[46:44] Speaker 3: hundred grain. And I said, why do you want a
[46:47] Speaker 3: two hundred grain? He says, because I got to go
[46:49] Speaker 3: out in the woods out there and everything. And I said, well,
[46:52] Speaker 3: what one hundred and twenty five or one hundred and
[46:54] Speaker 3: fifty do it? He says, no, He says, I pack
[46:58] Speaker 3: it as high as I can it before the show explodes,
[47:02] Speaker 3: and that kind of you know, little things like that,
[47:06] Speaker 3: and the game warns they're not going to tell you nothing.
[47:08] Speaker 2: I mean, they got their secrecy thing they got to
[47:10] Speaker 2: go by and everything.
[47:12] Speaker 3: But yeah, they they know, they're they're just like the
[47:16] Speaker 3: government knows they're there, they know what's going on. Everybody
[47:18] Speaker 3: knows what's going on, but the public, you know. And
[47:22] Speaker 3: I mean if I was a game ward, and I'd
[47:24] Speaker 3: say probably say the same thing too.
[47:26] Speaker 2: Well, it was probably just a bear. It was this.
[47:28] Speaker 3: Honeybear, you know, something like that, or a bunch of
[47:31] Speaker 3: coyots or you know, but yeah, it's they.
[47:38] Speaker 2: But yeah, they're they're.
[47:39] Speaker 1: There absolutely, and I know that, you know, it's not
[47:45] Speaker 1: just bigfoot down there. I've talked to people. Oh yeah,
[47:50] Speaker 1: good friend, messy, miss Eli Sterling. And I mean there's
[47:54] Speaker 1: people having sightings of something down there in Mississippi. It's
[48:00] Speaker 1: it's uh, it looks pale, it's white, it's very skinny.
[48:05] Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, I've heard of that, but I've never
[48:08] Speaker 3: seen anything like that.
[48:10] Speaker 2: So I see I heard about it on your show.
[48:12] Speaker 3: I was, yeah, with the with the lady there, her name,
[48:17] Speaker 3: I just I can't remember it, but she yeah, I've heard.
[48:20] Speaker 3: I was listening to her, and I've never seen anything
[48:23] Speaker 3: like it. You know, I never heard anything or seen
[48:26] Speaker 3: anything like that. I'm not saying it don't exist, because
[48:29] Speaker 3: I mean for years until things just start happening, you know,
[48:34] Speaker 3: that's when that's when you start knowing that, hey, there
[48:37] Speaker 3: there is something out here, you know. And uh, but
[48:42] Speaker 3: I've never never seen one or anything like that. It
[48:46] Speaker 3: kind of sounds like one of them alien things they
[48:49] Speaker 3: have out there. And you know, but you can't. You
[48:52] Speaker 3: don't never know about the government. I mean only got
[48:54] Speaker 3: a scientists. They come up with something that isn't going
[48:58] Speaker 3: to work, and they think it's defected to perform. I mean,
[49:00] Speaker 3: put a parachute on it and drop it out of
[49:03] Speaker 3: see one thirty at night at three in the morning
[49:05] Speaker 3: in a swamp or somewhere, and you know you're stuck
[49:09] Speaker 3: with it wherever it lands.
[49:11] Speaker 2: You know.
[49:12] Speaker 3: I don't put that by on one bit. And no,
[49:16] Speaker 3: I've never seen one or heard of anything like that
[49:19] Speaker 3: until she started talking about it, you know, and I
[49:21] Speaker 3: saw I don't doubt it.
[49:22] Speaker 2: You know, there could be and.
[49:28] Speaker 3: You know it probably is, but it's like anything else
[49:30] Speaker 3: that wants to be seen. And they got their own
[49:32] Speaker 3: mentality too. I mean, they're probably shy or don't want
[49:36] Speaker 3: to be I don't want to be exposed because you know,
[49:39] Speaker 3: people shooting at them already, and you know, at the
[49:43] Speaker 3: Sosquatch and stuff, and they you know, you get shot
[49:47] Speaker 3: a few times. I mean, I don't think anybody's gonna
[49:49] Speaker 3: want to go out with somebody with a gun. You know,
[49:51] Speaker 3: that's you know, running through the woods after him. And
[49:56] Speaker 3: it's just you know, and they probably we are that
[50:00] Speaker 3: they're probably here, and you know, but I've never seen
[50:05] Speaker 3: one yet.
[50:07] Speaker 1: Would you would you want to have if you have
[50:10] Speaker 1: the ability to actually you know, have a dead on
[50:16] Speaker 1: sighting where you can see your face and everything. Would
[50:19] Speaker 1: that be something.
[50:20] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, the big Foot or the gray thing. Yeah,
[50:26] Speaker 2: oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I'd love to.
[50:27] Speaker 3: See one, you know, you know, face on. I just
[50:30] Speaker 3: put my hand over my chest and you know, like it's,
[50:34] Speaker 3: you know, good to meet you and you know everything,
[50:37] Speaker 3: and you know that'd be it, you know, but you know,
[50:43] Speaker 3: just show it, you know, like a friend kind ship,
[50:47] Speaker 3: you know, not like that's what gets me with a
[50:50] Speaker 3: lot of these shows. They show going out trying to
[50:52] Speaker 3: shoot it and we're going to track them down and
[50:53] Speaker 3: we're going to get this.
[50:56] Speaker 2: It's just like Hollywood, you know, it's like some getting
[51:00] Speaker 2: paid and all.
[51:01] Speaker 3: I said, my god, you ain't never going to get one,
[51:04] Speaker 3: you know, or you might hear something, But I doubt
[51:07] Speaker 3: if you ever get one of the cameras and all
[51:09] Speaker 3: that stuff, because they can smell the technology that's made
[51:13] Speaker 3: into it. It's you know, from the plastic computer and
[51:16] Speaker 3: all that stuff. They can smell the chemicals off it.
[51:18] Speaker 3: And that's probably why a lot of people don't really
[51:21] Speaker 3: get pictures or anything from it. You know, you'd have
[51:24] Speaker 3: to have the way up in the tree where the
[51:26] Speaker 3: smell would be up in the air where it can't
[51:28] Speaker 3: smell it going down, and then they got AI. A
[51:33] Speaker 3: lot of stuff's made up by that, so it's you know,
[51:37] Speaker 3: it's unbelievable what they're doing now, and people actually believe
[51:40] Speaker 3: in it. Hey, there's a big footing now it's AI,
[51:42] Speaker 3: you know, really really look at it really.
[51:46] Speaker 2: You know.
[51:48] Speaker 3: And but yeah, i'd love to see one, you know.
[51:53] Speaker 3: I just don't want to turn the corner of the
[51:55] Speaker 3: house and there it is standing right there, right, yeah, yeah, well, yeah,
[52:02] Speaker 3: I'd love to see one.
[52:04] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's wild stuff. I think that I think
[52:10] Speaker 1: it's it's something I've been looking into. I think that
[52:16] Speaker 1: when you bring electronics out it, it can sense the
[52:20] Speaker 1: electronics too potentially, and if there's someone that can figure
[52:25] Speaker 1: out I mean, maybe it's even just using really old
[52:29] Speaker 1: school ways of taking photographs or video even like how
[52:36] Speaker 1: it was back in the sixties. Maybe that's the way
[52:39] Speaker 1: that we'll be able to capture something, because there's something
[52:43] Speaker 1: about electronics and the batteries always die when you're out there.
[52:48] Speaker 1: I don't know if that's the way to do it,
[52:50] Speaker 1: you know what I mean, So who knows.
[52:53] Speaker 3: But I've had game cameras all around my land there,
[53:00] Speaker 3: you know, in Lee County there east of Baldwin, but
[53:05] Speaker 3: you know we're where my places, I've had deer cameras
[53:09] Speaker 3: out and everything and all around, just you know, for
[53:13] Speaker 3: deer and see if something I could get something walking
[53:16] Speaker 3: up or something in the woods that took a picture.
[53:18] Speaker 3: And there's nothing. All I've had is deer on it.
[53:22] Speaker 3: Deer and wild hogs. That's about it, you know, besides birds,
[53:27] Speaker 3: and you know, butterfly flew in front of it, and
[53:31] Speaker 3: they're off the ground probably anywhere.
[53:33] Speaker 2: It's from four foot to eight foot.
[53:36] Speaker 3: But you know, I never these were the cheap walmart
[53:40] Speaker 3: kind of cameras, but they were good. But I never
[53:44] Speaker 3: had the money to get an expensive one. If I did,
[53:47] Speaker 3: I would have put it way up in the tree
[53:49] Speaker 3: looking down to see what was going on. And yeah,
[53:52] Speaker 3: I mean they can like you smoke plastic burning before
[53:57] Speaker 3: kind of fermenting or getting warm and all the stuff
[54:00] Speaker 3: they used to make the chips and the plastic in
[54:03] Speaker 3: the camera. They can smell that, you know, they're out there.
[54:08] Speaker 3: They can smell any of one of us from you know,
[54:11] Speaker 3: half a mile away or even a mile right. Oh yeah,
[54:15] Speaker 3: and so there's something over there, you know.
[54:17] Speaker 2: It's yeah, it's.
[54:20] Speaker 3: Like you're being in the bathroom and you know your
[54:23] Speaker 3: wife's cooking something in the kitchen. You didn't know. Just god,
[54:26] Speaker 3: that smells. What the heck is that? You know, it's
[54:29] Speaker 3: the same thing with them. They can smell like, oh,
[54:31] Speaker 3: you know there's humans or something over there.
[54:35] Speaker 1: So yeah, exactly, Well, you're in. I think you're in
[54:39] Speaker 1: a good area. You know, if you're if you're able to,
[54:45] Speaker 1: you know, to keep going out and being in the outdoors,
[54:49] Speaker 1: I think you're in. You're in a good area where
[54:51] Speaker 1: where things could continue to happen in the future. I
[54:56] Speaker 1: mean if you look into just like Tishamingo County as
[54:59] Speaker 1: we were talking about before, Oh, there's plenty of stuff
[55:02] Speaker 1: that's happened up there. And I mean we've talked to
[55:05] Speaker 1: Joe Flippo on the show and the things he experienced
[55:09] Speaker 1: in the area as well. Listeners can check out those
[55:12] Speaker 1: episodes back in the day. But but yeah, I mean, Ken,
[55:18] Speaker 1: it has been it's been good chatting with you and
[55:21] Speaker 1: to hear what you've experienced so far. And definitely keep
[55:24] Speaker 1: us in mind. If you do run into anything else
[55:28] Speaker 1: out there, please reach out.
[55:32] Speaker 3: Yeah, I will. I'll do anything. How I'll get your
[55:34] Speaker 3: pictures of any more. You know, the structure like the
[55:38] Speaker 3: one that's the back of the house and they're you
[55:40] Speaker 3: know and different different things.
[55:42] Speaker 2: You know, come up. I'll get you pictures and send
[55:43] Speaker 2: them to you. You know.
[55:45] Speaker 3: If anything happens, I'll you know, I'll give you a
[55:47] Speaker 3: call and you know, you know, let you let you
[55:51] Speaker 3: know what's going on. But yeah, I always always wanted
[55:54] Speaker 3: to get together with Joe and just you know, just
[55:57] Speaker 3: go see one, you know, even if it's for a
[56:00] Speaker 3: little bit or whatever, and just Joe tell me what
[56:02] Speaker 3: to do and not to do, and.
[56:05] Speaker 2: You know, I do it.
[56:06] Speaker 3: You know, just sit there and you know it would
[56:10] Speaker 3: be wonderful seeing one. It might freak me out, you
[56:14] Speaker 3: know whatever, you know, I mean, it would shocked me.
[56:18] Speaker 3: And you really get looking you know it's going to
[56:20] Speaker 3: stun you. But you know, yeah, but I mean that's nature.
[56:24] Speaker 3: I mean that's you know, God made everything. He got
[56:27] Speaker 3: to ask him about it, you know, and it's you know,
[56:31] Speaker 3: that's it's just the way it goes.
[56:33] Speaker 2: You know, Absolutely made everything for the reason. But yeah, well,
[56:41] Speaker 2: good stuff.
[56:42] Speaker 1: Well thank you for being on the show today, Ken.
[56:45] Speaker 1: I appreciate it. And uh yeah, and we'll keep in
[56:49] Speaker 1: touch for sure, thank you.
[56:52] Speaker 3: Sure sure Okay, Jeremiah, thank you, thank you for having
[56:56] Speaker 3: me on. It's been wonderful.
[56:58] Speaker 1: Have you ever heard all the accounts of bigfoot activity
[57:02] Speaker 1: around Oakridge, Oregon and you think to yourself, Man, I
[57:05] Speaker 1: would love to get out in those woods and experience
[57:08] Speaker 1: it for myself. Well, guess what this year you can

[57:25] Speaker 1: even better than the previous year's. Reason number one, I'll
[57:29] Speaker 1: be one of the speakers. It's gonna be wild. I'll
[57:31] Speaker 1: probably I'll say this, there may be stuff you haven't

[57:43] Speaker 1: you just got to be there. We'll leave it that
[57:45] Speaker 1: more about looking for bigfoot in the Oakridge Woods. Now

[1:00:16] Speaker 1: or someone on a spiritual retreat and you saw something
[1:00:19] Speaker 1: that shook your faith, or if you work in the shadows, CIA,
