Deep along Oregon’s Siletz River, Nick from Backwoodz Bigfoot carried a speaker into the mountains and played an unfamiliar song across a remote forest valley. Whoops, tree knocks and movement began rising from the timber—and the responses appeared to come from multiple directions. Nick returns to Bigfoot Society with recent reports from the Oregon Coast, including a figure seen beside a creek, a photographer followed along the trail at Munson Creek Falls, repeated activity near Mount Hebo and two encounters reported on the same island in Detroit Lake. He also takes us inside the 2026 Sasquatch Summerfest in Oakridge, where private conversations with legendary researchers led to stories involving caves, close-range encounters and unexplained nighttime activity beside a tent. This episode travels through some of Oregon’s most active Bigfoot country with a researcher who continues returning to the locations where witnesses say something is waiting in the woods. ## Transcript

[0:00] Speaker 1: So I played it and I heard whoops and tree
[0:05] Speaker 1: knocks and all this like rustling around.
[0:10] Speaker 2: Along a remote BLM road above Oregon's Siletz River, Nick
[0:15] Speaker 2: from Backwoods Bigfoot played an unfamiliar song across a deep valley.
[0:19] Speaker 2: Something appeared to respond from the surrounding timber. What brought
[0:22] Speaker 2: him to that particular stretch of forest in the first place?
[0:25] Speaker 2: I'm Jeremiah Byron, and this is Bigfoot Society. All right,
[0:28] Speaker 2: Bigfoot Society. The privilege of talking to Nick from Backwoods
[0:33] Speaker 2: Bigfoot out there in the great state of Oregon today.
[0:36] Speaker 2: Nick has been on the show before. I'll have that
[0:39] Speaker 2: episode linked in the show notes. But welcome back, Nick.
[0:42] Speaker 2: How are you doing, man?
[0:44] Speaker 1: I'm doing good, man. Thanks for having me.
[0:47] Speaker 2: Absolutely.
[0:48] Speaker 1: How are you doing?
[0:50] Speaker 2: You know, we were talking a little bit before, and...
[0:54] Speaker 2: It's getting a little interesting. As the cycles of the
[1:00] Speaker 2: treatment go, I get more and more tired, but I'm
[1:04] Speaker 2: just having to be a little bit more, you know,
[1:11] Speaker 2: just do things a different way, and I think it's
[1:15] Speaker 2: working out. But yeah, we're getting through it. I'm recording
[1:21] Speaker 2: this September... was this the ninth, eighth or ninth? So
[1:28] Speaker 2: we're about halfway through and, and people will hear this, uh,
[1:32] Speaker 2: maybe a few days after that. We'll see. But, um, yeah, doing,
[1:37] Speaker 2: doing good for the most part. Thank you so much
[1:38] Speaker 2: for your, for, for asking dude. Appreciate that.
[1:42] Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. We're all thinking about you and worried about you. And,
[1:47] Speaker 1: you know, there's a lot of people that care. So we, uh,
[1:53] Speaker 1: We're wishing you the best, man. Thank you.
[1:55] Speaker 2: Thank you, man. I appreciate that. Before we get going,
[1:58] Speaker 2: just in case, uh, you know, listeners haven't heard the
[2:02] Speaker 2: first one, which I really recommend that you go and
[2:04] Speaker 2: listen to after this. Uh, what, what, what is Backwoods
[2:08] Speaker 2: Bigfoot for, for the, for the listener who has never
[2:12] Speaker 2: been able to, to meet you or hear about you before, Nick?
[2:16] Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, um, that's probably a good place to start. Um, and, uh,
[2:24] Speaker 1: since you brought it up, you guys can go check
[2:27] Speaker 1: it out on YouTube, or Instagram, or TikTok, or Facebook,
[2:33] Speaker 1: and it's Backwoods Bigfoot, all one word, instead of an S,
[2:41] Speaker 1: it's a Z, so Backwoods with a Z, Bigfoot, all
[2:44] Speaker 1: one word, so I guess the best way to describe
[2:50] Speaker 1: it is just me going out in the woods. I
[2:54] Speaker 1: guess the YouTube channel is the main, the main focus. Um,
[2:58] Speaker 1: but it's just me going out in the woods filming. Um,
[3:04] Speaker 1: and sometimes it's just random spots around where I live.
[3:10] Speaker 1: I live on the Oregon coast, like the central coast. Um,
[3:15] Speaker 1: so there's the coastal range mountains and I'm in between
[3:19] Speaker 1: Newport and Tillamook and Tillamook has a lot of, bigfoot
[3:23] Speaker 1: action and actually you know i get reports or just
[3:28] Speaker 1: talking to people in town um and then i'll go
[3:33] Speaker 1: go out there and film and look around um but
[3:36] Speaker 1: sometimes just me going out in the woods pick a
[3:39] Speaker 1: random day random spot and go out and look um
[3:44] Speaker 1: but i've been doing it for a couple years in Uh,
[3:49] Speaker 1: I wish I had more time to do it, you know,
[3:51] Speaker 1: like twice a week or something, but with life and
[3:54] Speaker 1: family and kids and work, I work in, uh, vacation rentals.
[4:00] Speaker 1: So like summer is super crazy. Um, but it's, it's fun.
[4:06] Speaker 1: And I, I enjoy it. I enjoy being out in
[4:08] Speaker 1: the woods the most. And, um, I actually went to
[4:13] Speaker 1: one of the most prestigious, uh, uh, I guess video
[4:20] Speaker 1: production film schools in the world, Portland Community College. So
[4:28] Speaker 1: maybe it's not prestigious, but so I learned how to
[4:31] Speaker 1: do a little video and editing and graphics and stuff.
[4:35] Speaker 1: So that's fun. So I get to put that to use.
[4:39] Speaker 1: And so, yeah, it's just me out in the woods.
[4:43] Speaker 1: Sometimes I have people looking for Bigfoot, basically.
[4:49] Speaker 2: Which is, which is awesome. So a few things, um,
[4:52] Speaker 2: talking about the backwoods Bigfoot channel, uh, and a little
[4:56] Speaker 2: bit of humor there about, you know, Portland community college,
[4:59] Speaker 2: which we probably lost a sponsor there. Nick, I'm just kidding. Um, but,
[5:05] Speaker 2: but your stuff is, is solidly filmed and also, uh,
[5:10] Speaker 2: it's just all around really good. Um, the, the thing
[5:14] Speaker 2: I really, your area, you mentioned you're out on the coast.
[5:17] Speaker 2: There's not a lot of like unless I haven't found them,
[5:22] Speaker 2: but there's not a lot of people that film Bigfoot
[5:24] Speaker 2: stuff out on the coast. So that is, that's very
[5:27] Speaker 2: special as, as well. I mean, I guess maybe what's
[5:32] Speaker 2: his name?
[5:33] Speaker 1: Ben. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He's actually, he lives like 10
[5:41] Speaker 1: minutes away from me. But he does like a lot
[5:46] Speaker 1: of the, Ben Dews or Corey. Yeah, his stuff is cool.
[5:49] Speaker 1: We keep meaning to go out together. So one of
[5:53] Speaker 1: these days that will happen and that will be very cool. Yeah,
[5:59] Speaker 1: there's not a lot. I mean, there's that group. I
[6:02] Speaker 1: can't remember their name that does a lot of Telemuc stuff.
[6:09] Speaker 1: I'll put it in the comments when I remember.
[6:11] Speaker 2: Okay, that's solid. Do you remember what Ben's name is
[6:16] Speaker 2: he goes by is it northwest sasquatch studies maybe.
[6:21] Speaker 1: Yeah studies and research i think okay yeah that's.
[6:23] Speaker 2: Right yeah i'll have it linked in the show yeah.
[6:26] Speaker 1: Yeah he's really cool really nice um and someday we
[6:31] Speaker 1: will have a collaboration video um but yeah there's not
[6:36] Speaker 1: a lot but what's weird is there's a lot of
[6:40] Speaker 1: people in bigfoot uh you know like uh that flash
[6:44] Speaker 1: of beauty documentary with Jack who saw the, the, uh,
[6:51] Speaker 1: the Bigfoot turned into a deer or the deer turned
[6:53] Speaker 1: into a Bigfoot. He lives in this town. Biko from
[6:58] Speaker 1: expedition Bigfoot lives in this town. This is a tiny town,
[7:02] Speaker 1: you know? Um, and then, so it's kind of weird
[7:07] Speaker 1: that Peter Byrne rest in peace lived, uh, like 20
[7:12] Speaker 1: minutes north here on the coast. So the coast has
[7:16] Speaker 1: a lot of Bigfoot characters and history. And, you know,
[7:21] Speaker 1: like my town, there's a Bigfoot restaurant called Squatch Saw
[7:28] Speaker 1: Me that has some of the best fish and chips
[7:30] Speaker 1: you ever had in your life. There's Bigfoot statues everywhere.
[7:35] Speaker 1: There's some music store called Sasquatch Music something. There's, I mean,
[7:41] Speaker 1: It's everywhere around the coast. Depot Bay, which is the
[7:45] Speaker 1: next town south, has Bigfoot coffee shop with statues. Yeah,
[7:53] Speaker 1: it's kind of weird.
[7:55] Speaker 2: Also, on your Instagram, every once in a while, you're
[8:01] Speaker 2: posting these pictures, these incredible Bigfoot books you're finding out there.
[8:05] Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
[8:06] Speaker 2: It's just like... It's just like, how in the world
[8:09] Speaker 2: are you finding these books in the middle of nowhere?
[8:13] Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess it's luck or something, or I don't know.
[8:16] Speaker 1: But right by my house, there's this huge used bookstore,
[8:22] Speaker 1: Bob's Books, and it's cool. It's like, it should be
[8:25] Speaker 1: in some 80s movie, you know, where just all these
[8:30] Speaker 1: weird turns and books stacked to the ceiling and books
[8:35] Speaker 1: on everything you ever thought of. And they get somehow,
[8:40] Speaker 1: someway get Bigfoot books all the time donated. And luckily
[8:44] Speaker 1: I found them or find them. Um, like I found a,
[8:49] Speaker 1: well at a thrift store right across the street, I
[8:53] Speaker 1: found a Peter Byrne autograph book for two bucks. That's sweet. Yeah.
[8:59] Speaker 1: It's weird. Yeah. There's, I guess, you know, Oregon probably
[9:04] Speaker 1: has a lot in the Northwest, just a lot of,
[9:08] Speaker 1: bigfoot enthusiasts and researchers and as time goes on people
[9:13] Speaker 1: pass away and their books get donated or something i
[9:16] Speaker 1: don't know.
[9:16] Speaker 2: Exactly so and you also i think the one that
[9:19] Speaker 2: really blew me away was like you found a copy
[9:21] Speaker 2: of dance orchard's book.
[9:22] Speaker 1: Is that right oh yeah which is.
[9:24] Speaker 2: Like crazy to be able to find that super super
[9:27] Speaker 2: rare and that was autographed too.
[9:30] Speaker 1: Oh my goodness dude yeah it was like my goodness
[9:33] Speaker 1: 25 bucks.
[9:34] Speaker 2: That's a steal uh yes good stuff so nick i
[9:40] Speaker 2: want that the main reason well there are a few
[9:43] Speaker 2: reasons the main reason i had your back on is
[9:46] Speaker 2: we just need to catch up second reason though is
[9:49] Speaker 2: you were able to go to saskatchewan summerfest and uh
[9:53] Speaker 2: this this last year of 2026 and 2025 we were
[10:00] Speaker 2: able to hang out and we had a good time
[10:03] Speaker 2: and you were hanging out at the booth for a
[10:05] Speaker 2: few hours do we had dude I don't remember if
[10:09] Speaker 2: you remember some of the conversations that we heard we
[10:12] Speaker 2: heard some I mean we met the guy who got
[10:16] Speaker 2: backhanded by Bigfoot right.
[10:17] Speaker 1: Yeah awesome Yeah, and actually he lives here in town too.
[10:22] Speaker 2: You were there and he was like, dude, yeah, I'm
[10:25] Speaker 2: the one that got backhanded by Bigfoot. I was like, dude,
[10:27] Speaker 2: you totally did. It was wild.
[10:30] Speaker 1: I'm actually going to go out with him too at
[10:34] Speaker 1: some point. I see him around town once in a while.
[10:41] Speaker 1: He and his brother go out all the time, I guess.
[10:45] Speaker 1: He's nice. He's a cool guy.
[10:46] Speaker 2: Yeah, he was a nice guy. He was good stuff.
[10:48] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[10:50] Speaker 2: How was the festival this year for you, Nick?
[10:53] Speaker 1: The festival was awesome except the fact that you weren't there.
[10:59] Speaker 1: Everybody was sad and not to make this about you,
[11:06] Speaker 1: but I actually was thinking since you decided not to go,
[11:12] Speaker 1: I was like, man, I don't know if I want
[11:13] Speaker 1: to go because hanging out with you last time was
[11:17] Speaker 1: most you know, part of the fun, and I got
[11:21] Speaker 1: comfortable just hanging, sitting by your tent, eavesdropping on all
[11:29] Speaker 1: your stories, but I was like, all right, Jeremiah's not going, like,
[11:37] Speaker 1: so I decided to go, which I'm glad I did,
[11:40] Speaker 1: but just to say about about you not being able
[11:46] Speaker 1: to make it that everybody was thinking about you and
[11:50] Speaker 1: asking about you and, uh, you know, sending their best
[11:55] Speaker 1: wishes and vibes and prayers and healing and all that.
[12:00] Speaker 1: So it was, it was really nice. And, um, you
[12:03] Speaker 1: probably would have been very humbled if you would have heard.
[12:07] Speaker 1: I mean, I heard it probably a hundred times, not,
[12:11] Speaker 1: not joking.
[12:11] Speaker 2: So that's, yeah, that's hard to hear.
[12:15] Speaker 1: Yeah, the love was definitely there for you, man. And
[12:20] Speaker 1: you were definitely missed. So hopefully next year we'll be
[12:26] Speaker 1: back there and carry on. But so I ended up
[12:31] Speaker 1: going and I had never gone. So I think you
[12:35] Speaker 1: had Priscilla on recently, right?
[12:37] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I did.
[12:38] Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. So for those who missed that, Priscilla is
[12:43] Speaker 1: the one that puts on the whole Sasquatch Summerfest in
[12:47] Speaker 1: Oak Ridge. And then she has that, what's it called?
[12:54] Speaker 1: Area 58, right? Yeah, Area 58 Museum. So last year
[13:00] Speaker 1: I didn't get to go to that because they're too
[13:02] Speaker 1: busy putting on a festival to have that open. So
[13:06] Speaker 1: I was like, I'm going to go the day before.
[13:10] Speaker 1: And Priscilla, she's so nice. She was like, yeah, just go.
[13:14] Speaker 1: call me when you get to town. I'll make, I'll
[13:16] Speaker 1: run over there and open it for you. I'm like, okay. Um,
[13:20] Speaker 1: so I got there the day before and drove by
[13:25] Speaker 1: the park. And as you know, there was half the
[13:29] Speaker 1: park was full of cyclists, bicycle people. Right. Um, so
[13:34] Speaker 1: cause the year before I camped there right on the
[13:37] Speaker 1: river on the limit and it was awesome. Um, because
[13:41] Speaker 1: you can bring your tent and camp at this festival.
[13:45] Speaker 1: But with all those cyclists there, they, of course, took
[13:48] Speaker 1: my perfect spot right next to the river. So I
[13:51] Speaker 1: was like, well, and it wasn't as hot as the
[13:54] Speaker 1: year before, but it was still like 80s, you know.
[13:58] Speaker 1: So I think I'm just going to try the motel.
[14:00] Speaker 1: So I got the Blue Wolf, I think it was called.
[14:05] Speaker 1: It's the one when you first get into town on
[14:08] Speaker 1: the left, it has like Oh, yeah, for sure. Literally
[14:12] Speaker 1: a Blue Wolf motel. And for people that don't know,
[14:16] Speaker 1: Oak Ridge is a tiny little mountain town in the
[14:22] Speaker 1: Cascade Mountain Range. I don't even know why it's a town.
[14:28] Speaker 1: I think there was frontier people that got stranded there
[14:31] Speaker 1: that made a town or something like that.
[14:34] Speaker 2: It also has a big history with the logging community.
[14:37] Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, a logging town.
[14:38] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's, it's really a logging town, yeah.
[14:41] Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's, I think there's one light, one grocery store,
[14:46] Speaker 1: you know, it's a tiny town, but it has a
[14:50] Speaker 1: lot of, as you know, and your listeners probably know,
[14:52] Speaker 1: a lot of Bigfoot action over there. Oh, yeah. But,
[14:56] Speaker 1: so I get to town, get a room at the motel, it's,
[15:01] Speaker 1: you know, a mountain logging town motel, so it's, It's
[15:06] Speaker 1: got character for sure. Um, and then I texted Priscilla
[15:12] Speaker 1: and she's like, Oh yeah, I'm out, out at Mazatlan
[15:16] Speaker 1: eating dinner. But, uh, Don Monroe's there. You can, you
[15:21] Speaker 1: can go over there and I'm sure he would love
[15:23] Speaker 1: to talk to you about Bigfoot. So I'm like, well,
[15:27] Speaker 1: that's awesome. So, uh, I run over there, which is
[15:33] Speaker 1: a couple blocks away, really. Um, and go inside, and
[15:40] Speaker 1: lo and behold, the legendary Don Monroe is there, and M.K.
[15:45] Speaker 1: Davis were there. Oh, man. Yeah, just hanging out. I
[15:49] Speaker 1: was like, this is ridiculous, you know? And I had
[15:54] Speaker 1: never met either of them, so I walked in, I
[15:59] Speaker 1: was like, hey, how's it going? And they're kind of like, oh,
[16:03] Speaker 1: who's this guy, you know? And then Don was like, uh,
[16:08] Speaker 1: who are you? And I'm like, Oh, I'm Nick. You know,
[16:10] Speaker 1: Priscilla said I could come by and check it out
[16:13] Speaker 1: and talk to you guys. And he shakes my hand
[16:16] Speaker 1: and like, I think he's like 93 or something like that.
[16:20] Speaker 2: He's gotta be, he's far up there.
[16:23] Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. But for those who don't know him, you
[16:26] Speaker 1: should probably Google him. He's like literally Indiana Jones, you know, he's, uh,
[16:34] Speaker 1: one of the last true mountain men explorer. I don't
[16:39] Speaker 1: even know how to describe him. Indiana Jones is probably
[16:41] Speaker 1: the best description.
[16:42] Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a great way to say it. It's the
[16:45] Speaker 2: same guy where I, so I recently talked to Ronnie Roseman.
[16:48] Speaker 2: It's the same guy that took Ronnie Roseman out in
[16:51] Speaker 2: the wilderness. And then Ronnie had the tooth infection and
[16:55] Speaker 2: Don was like, I'm going to pull it out. And
[16:57] Speaker 2: he's like, no, don't do it.
[17:00] Speaker 1: I believe it. Yeah. So, so I go to shake
[17:05] Speaker 1: his hand.
[17:06] Speaker 3: He grabs my hand super tight, grabs my arm, pulls
[17:10] Speaker 3: me in and pretends like lifts up his knees that
[17:14] Speaker 3: he's going to need me in the, in the family jewels,
[17:17] Speaker 3: you know?
[17:18] Speaker 1: And I of course went to block it, but he,
[17:20] Speaker 1: he was literally just kind of.
[17:22] Speaker 2: Testing me and he's testing.
[17:24] Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
[17:25] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[17:25] Speaker 1: Seeing my reaction. So that was, I'll never forget that.
[17:29] Speaker 1: That was hilarious. So, um, I proceeded to hang out
[17:35] Speaker 1: there for probably like three hours with them. Cause Don was, um,
[17:42] Speaker 1: he was one of the speakers this year. And so he,
[17:46] Speaker 1: he had a bunch of his photos and, uh, articles
[17:51] Speaker 1: and stuff. And he was making like poster board presentations
[17:55] Speaker 1: for his booth while we were hanging out. So he, he's,
[18:02] Speaker 1: he's like got glue stick and he's gluing all these pictures.
[18:05] Speaker 1: So every time he's like, see this, this is what happened.
[18:08] Speaker 1: This is this, you know, no way. Yeah. So he, uh,
[18:13] Speaker 1: you know, the love lock caves with the giant skulls.
[18:17] Speaker 2: Uh, Oh, he was talking to you about going in
[18:20] Speaker 2: there probably with a more head, right?
[18:22] Speaker 1: Yeah. And he was, so I guess his, his original
[18:28] Speaker 1: photos are the ones that everybody uses. I guess he's
[18:32] Speaker 1: one that, one of the originals that found some of
[18:37] Speaker 1: the skulls or saw some of the skulls or besides,
[18:40] Speaker 1: you know, the, the way back story about it, but, um, but, uh,
[18:48] Speaker 1: and you never quite know what's, uh, true. I mean,
[18:52] Speaker 1: he's telling the truth, but he likes to, uh, embellish
[18:56] Speaker 1: a little bit and incredible stories. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, exactly.
[19:01] Speaker 1: Hard to believe, but, somehow you believe them when they
[19:04] Speaker 1: come from him and.
[19:05] Speaker 2: He's, Oh yeah.
[19:07] Speaker 1: He's literally like dressed the part. I mean, it was,
[19:11] Speaker 1: it was really neat to be there to meet him.
[19:14] Speaker 1: And MK is, I got to hang out with him
[19:17] Speaker 1: basically the whole time too. And he is, MK Davis
[19:21] Speaker 1: is literally a Southern gentleman. One of the nicest people
[19:25] Speaker 1: you ever meet, you know?
[19:26] Speaker 2: He is a hundred percent.
[19:29] Speaker 1: Yeah. And, uh, him and Don have a, have a
[19:35] Speaker 1: nice relationship and they've been out doing stuff and, you know,
[19:39] Speaker 1: they have a cool kind of teasing banter, back and
[19:43] Speaker 1: forth so that was really really neat and you know
[19:52] Speaker 1: and Don found some paper that he wrote and he's
[19:57] Speaker 1: like here this is a gift from me to you
[20:00] Speaker 1: and I'm like will you sign it and he licks
[20:03] Speaker 1: his finger and writes an X on it he's like
[20:06] Speaker 1: there you go you know this Just stuff like that.
[20:09] Speaker 1: He ended up signing it for real. Dude.
[20:11] Speaker 2: Oh, my goodness. Here's my DNA.
[20:14] Speaker 1: Yeah, I do have his DNA. But he's a character.
[20:18] Speaker 1: And he literally had, like Indiana Jones, hat on. Had
[20:23] Speaker 1: a button that said crazy bastard on there. He had
[20:26] Speaker 1: a Bowie knife that was hand sharpened from probably like a,
[20:34] Speaker 1: I don't know, over sharpened to where it could slice
[20:38] Speaker 1: anything you know he's he's literally indiana jones he just
[20:43] Speaker 1: didn't have the whip basically um so hung out with
[20:47] Speaker 1: them there for for hours and hours and then ronnie
[20:52] Speaker 1: shows up.
[20:53] Speaker 2: Of course nice nice.
[20:54] Speaker 1: Yeah so it got even better.
[20:57] Speaker 2: Did when they were just talking did they bring up
[21:01] Speaker 2: any stuff about bluff creek when they used because the
[21:04] Speaker 2: two of them would go out a ton.
[21:07] Speaker 1: Yeah so that was actually kind of weird um because
[21:13] Speaker 1: i was like yeah they did and don started showing
[21:18] Speaker 1: me photos he's like don't don't let mk see this
[21:23] Speaker 1: you know know that i'm showing you these i'm like
[21:27] Speaker 1: uh okay.
[21:27] Speaker 2: Right here dude yeah he was.
[21:29] Speaker 1: I'm like Well, MK was, I think, went to Dairy
[21:34] Speaker 1: Queen at that time or something.
[21:36] Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, it was right next door for people.
[21:38] Speaker 1: Yeah, right next door. Yeah, he wanted some ice cream, yeah. So,
[21:45] Speaker 1: I don't know what they were alluding to, and it
[21:49] Speaker 1: might be above my pay grade, but I know MK
[21:54] Speaker 1: spoke about it, too, at the conference, but From what
[22:04] Speaker 1: I gathered, because it is hard to understand Don, too,
[22:07] Speaker 1: because he kind of mumbles, which I do, too, my
[22:10] Speaker 1: wife says. But, and this is just what I gathered,
[22:19] Speaker 1: so don't quote me on it, or don't hold me
[22:22] Speaker 1: to it, but that there was more going on at
[22:26] Speaker 1: Bluff Creek than... the official story. Right. Yeah.
[22:30] Speaker 2: That's, that's been a thing with MK for, for quite
[22:33] Speaker 2: a while. And people can get into that. That's a
[22:37] Speaker 2: whole rabbit hole.
[22:39] Speaker 1: Yeah. And I'd heard that before. Um, but I never,
[22:46] Speaker 1: you know, but it wouldn't surprise me, but MK is
[22:50] Speaker 1: literally the, the guy for, you know, the Patterson footage. Um,
[22:58] Speaker 1: As far as I know, you know, he's got all
[23:01] Speaker 1: the breakdown of the videos and stuff. But yeah, he
[23:06] Speaker 1: said basically they were alluding to that. There was more
[23:09] Speaker 1: going on, more Sasquatches and more people. And then I'll
[23:12] Speaker 1: let anybody that wants to dive down that rabbit hole can. Yeah, exactly.
[23:20] Speaker 2: There is a video clip. I don't know if you've
[23:22] Speaker 2: ever seen this.
[23:23] Speaker 1: It is.
[23:25] Speaker 2: There's it's on one of those. Forget. what channel it's on,
[23:29] Speaker 2: but there's all this old video that MK took over
[23:32] Speaker 2: the years when going to bluff Creek with those guys.
[23:36] Speaker 2: And one clip is when him and Don Monroe are
[23:40] Speaker 2: walking around and this is years and years ago. So
[23:42] Speaker 2: they're younger. And all of a sudden Don Monroe goes
[23:47] Speaker 2: flying through the air, 10 feet face first into the ground,
[23:51] Speaker 2: like something pushed him hard and they got it on video.
[23:55] Speaker 2: Do you know what I'm talking about?
[23:56] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[23:57] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[23:58] Speaker 1: It will make sense now because Don was telling me
[24:00] Speaker 1: about it. Oh, he was? Okay. Yeah, I never saw
[24:03] Speaker 1: the video, but he was telling me about it. I
[24:05] Speaker 1: was trying to comprehend it, you know. And I will
[24:11] Speaker 1: say this, in some of the pictures that they showed me,
[24:16] Speaker 1: it literally looked like there was like federal agents or
[24:23] Speaker 1: men in black type dudes there, like It was with weapons.
[24:28] Speaker 1: I mean, they had like slacks in a white shirt
[24:32] Speaker 1: and like ties. It was weird. I was like, maybe
[24:37] Speaker 1: I don't want to know this. I mean, I do
[24:39] Speaker 1: want to know it, but should I know this?
[24:41] Speaker 2: You know, is that when MK was away and Don's.
[24:44] Speaker 1: Like, Oh geez. Yeah. Yeah. He had him in his pocket.
[24:50] Speaker 2: Like, Oh, that's wild.
[24:52] Speaker 1: Yeah. He's like coming through. I'm like, Holy crap, dude.
[24:56] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[24:57] Speaker 2: Holy mackerel.
[24:58] Speaker 1: So yeah.
[24:58] Speaker 2: I mean, just that, just those three hours is that
[25:01] Speaker 2: was probably worth you traveling all the way out there.
[25:04] Speaker 1: No, it was, it was, I was like, if this
[25:07] Speaker 1: is the first few hours, this is going to be incredible,
[25:10] Speaker 1: you know? And, um, and then I will, uh, Don
[25:16] Speaker 1: did tell me the story that, Well, they told me
[25:19] Speaker 1: like four times. He likes to explore caves a lot. Um,
[25:23] Speaker 1: and he, I don't even know where it was. Um,
[25:28] Speaker 1: might've been Montana or somewhere cause he's from Montana, but, um,
[25:34] Speaker 1: he was with this guy. He calls him the giant,
[25:39] Speaker 1: but the guy's like six, eight. And I think he's
[25:43] Speaker 1: like Norwegian or something. Um, and they're exploring this cave.
[25:48] Speaker 1: and Don always says, well, one, he won't go out
[25:52] Speaker 1: with anybody that doesn't have a sharp knife. So, um,
[25:57] Speaker 1: that they carry all the time. And then he doesn't
[25:59] Speaker 1: like to go out with dogs, but I guess this
[26:02] Speaker 1: guy had a dog that was super well trained. Um,
[26:06] Speaker 1: so anyway, they had to rappel down this cliff into
[26:10] Speaker 1: this cave and, uh, you know, I don't know all
[26:18] Speaker 1: the details, but the gist of it is something happened
[26:22] Speaker 1: in there where the dog was alerted and started going
[26:26] Speaker 1: crazy and they heard sounds and stuff, so they'd leave.
[26:31] Speaker 1: And Don was the last one out. And Don lifts
[26:36] Speaker 1: up his flashlight and literally like five feet in front
[26:44] Speaker 1: of him, a huge... Sasquatch is literally relieving itself in
[26:50] Speaker 1: front of him as the P is coming down the
[26:56] Speaker 1: rocks towards Don's location where he's standing.
[26:59] Speaker 2: Oh my goodness.
[27:02] Speaker 1: Yeah, and then he ran out of there, obviously.
[27:08] Speaker 2: Dude, I've never heard that one. That is intense.
[27:11] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[27:12] Speaker 2: Okay. Yeah, no, he's totally Indiana Jones of the Bigfoot world.
[27:15] Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Yeah.
[27:18] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[27:19] Speaker 1: And, yeah, it was crazy. I mean, he was telling stories.
[27:26] Speaker 1: He likes to tell stories, so that's good. Oh, yeah, yeah.
[27:28] Speaker 2: He's good at it, too.
[27:30] Speaker 1: Yeah, and he's super nice and just, you know, the
[27:35] Speaker 1: last of a dying breed. You know, he's a pioneer
[27:38] Speaker 1: mountain man from Montana, you know. Um, and of course
[27:45] Speaker 1: Ronnie was, Ronnie shows up, so he's telling all his stories. Um,
[27:50] Speaker 1: so it was quite the day, um, evening for sure. Yeah.
[27:56] Speaker 2: And that's why I think it's important for people to
[27:59] Speaker 2: go to events like Sasquatch number fest and there's others
[28:02] Speaker 2: out there for sure. Because a lot of, as you
[28:06] Speaker 2: were saying, the last, the generation that is getting ready
[28:10] Speaker 2: to unfortunately move on, those guys are not on like
[28:15] Speaker 2: TikTok or like Instagram, but if you can sit down
[28:20] Speaker 2: with them at these, these festivals out in the middle
[28:23] Speaker 2: of nowhere, Oregon, you will have conversations that you will
[28:26] Speaker 2: remember for the rest of your life. And it will
[28:28] Speaker 2: be totally, totally worth whatever you had to do to
[28:31] Speaker 2: get there.
[28:32] Speaker 1: It's awesome. Exactly. Yeah, exactly.
[28:34] Speaker 2: And that's why I do it.
[28:36] Speaker 1: Yeah. And, like you said, actually MK brought that up
[28:41] Speaker 1: because he was saying how there is a generation that is,
[28:47] Speaker 1: we're losing in the Bigfoot world. He was saying that,
[28:52] Speaker 1: you know, the torches need to be passed to, and
[28:56] Speaker 1: people need to be ready to accept it. And I
[28:58] Speaker 1: think there is people that are ready, like yourself and others.
[29:03] Speaker 1: But I think the generation that we are currently losing
[29:11] Speaker 1: and will lose are probably the best out of everybody.
[29:16] Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
[29:17] Speaker 2: Oh, it's going to be like, uh, Don Monroe, Ryan Roseman. Uh,
[29:24] Speaker 2: I feel terrible saying all these names cause.
[29:25] Speaker 1: They're still here.
[29:27] Speaker 2: Um, Morehead.
[29:28] Speaker 1: Yeah. And what's the guy's name? Frank, that past couple.
[29:34] Speaker 2: Uh, Frank Neister last year. And that one, hits the
[29:38] Speaker 2: worst because I was able to spend just a few hours,
[29:41] Speaker 2: but no one really knew who he was. I mean,
[29:45] Speaker 2: that's the one that hurts the worst is when no
[29:47] Speaker 2: one really knew about him. So that's wild. That's just
[29:54] Speaker 2: you getting into town the first day. Were you able
[29:56] Speaker 2: to have any other– fun conversations during the festival or
[30:01] Speaker 2: meet anyone cool?
[30:03] Speaker 1: It only got crazier. Oh my goodness. So, and then
[30:07] Speaker 1: speaking of the older generation.
[30:13] Speaker 2: Joe, Joe Beeler.
[30:16] Speaker 1: Yeah, he was there.
[30:17] Speaker 2: Wow.
[30:19] Speaker 1: And he's doing a lot better. And he signed my
[30:25] Speaker 1: Bigfoot Highway book, so I was happy with that. But
[30:28] Speaker 1: he was so nice and such a gentleman, too. Him
[30:34] Speaker 1: and his wife were there, and they were just super
[30:38] Speaker 1: nice people. So that was really cool to meet them.
[30:44] Speaker 1: And someday I keep saying I'm going to go do
[30:46] Speaker 1: a video on the Bigfoot Highway, but just running out
[30:49] Speaker 1: of time all the time. But, yeah, so the next
[30:54] Speaker 1: day I go. uh, go back to the actual festival. Um,
[31:00] Speaker 1: cause I was just the night before and, um, kind
[31:04] Speaker 1: of hung out in that same corner where, where we
[31:10] Speaker 1: were at the year prior, you know, side of the stage. Um,
[31:16] Speaker 1: and that corner had obviously had, um, old Tobe and
[31:24] Speaker 1: his what's, uh, from Olympic Springs case thank you.
[31:29] Speaker 2: Tobe and Allie and uh.
[31:31] Speaker 1: Yeah Tobe and Allie were over there because Tobe was
[31:34] Speaker 1: emceeing the thing and then um Dr. Robert Allie of
[31:40] Speaker 1: course um and then MK and then Don Monroe had
[31:47] Speaker 1: his little setup in that corner too so that oh
[31:50] Speaker 1: and then uh Dr. Simeon Hine of course he was
[31:56] Speaker 1: over in that corner and he's such a nice guy
[31:58] Speaker 1: too very smart and got got some good theories so
[32:04] Speaker 1: definitely look into him so that was really cool so
[32:11] Speaker 1: hanging out over there and having fun and listening to
[32:16] Speaker 1: all kinds of all kinds of stories that's like you
[32:19] Speaker 1: were alluding to it's the whole reason to go is
[32:24] Speaker 1: to meet the people. Um, and like, I don't know
[32:30] Speaker 1: if this is like that at every, uh, festival, but
[32:36] Speaker 1: at least at this one, almost everybody that goes has
[32:41] Speaker 1: some kind of story or knows someone that has a story.
[32:44] Speaker 1: So it's literally just everybody going and swapping stories and, uh,
[32:51] Speaker 1: It's really neat to just be there and listen. That's
[32:54] Speaker 1: what I do. I don't offer any stories unless people ask,
[32:57] Speaker 1: but I just listen to all the incredible stories and
[33:01] Speaker 1: meet the neat, nice people. It's definitely worth going if
[33:09] Speaker 1: people are thinking about it. I would definitely do it.
[33:13] Speaker 2: 100%. The type of conversations do happen in other places,
[33:18] Speaker 2: but it's more like, I think it's, it feels more
[33:22] Speaker 2: prevalent at this particular festival because everyone is there with
[33:26] Speaker 2: a good attitude. At least the year I, the years
[33:29] Speaker 2: I was there, I'd never had to worry about people
[33:32] Speaker 2: messing around and trying to cause drama and stuff. And
[33:38] Speaker 2: everyone's got a good, good heart and just wanting to
[33:41] Speaker 2: learn and, and share with each other. And the people
[33:44] Speaker 2: you meet make for some really, really great, uh, relationships.
[33:51] Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, exactly.
[33:53] Speaker 2: No doubt about it. Um, yeah.
[33:55] Speaker 1: And I feel like the Bigfoot community as a whole is,
[34:00] Speaker 1: you know, divided and people are kind of cutthroat about,
[34:05] Speaker 1: this is mine and I'm not telling you where this
[34:07] Speaker 1: is and da da da. But at the, at the festival,
[34:11] Speaker 1: everybody's open and cool and nice. And, um, it doesn't
[34:16] Speaker 1: seem to be any, animosity or anything like that.
[34:20] Speaker 2: You know yeah i don't know pretty solid yeah and
[34:23] Speaker 2: i i've.
[34:24] Speaker 1: Never experienced any of the negative bigfoot community community stuff
[34:29] Speaker 1: but i'm not like deeply immersed you know i have
[34:34] Speaker 1: i have my toes in it you know not i'm
[34:36] Speaker 1: not waiting in it you know what i mean so.
[34:38] Speaker 2: Right yeah yeah no i get i get it if
[34:41] Speaker 2: you go on deep enough you'll find it Yeah, I'm sure.
[34:44] Speaker 1: I mean, I get crazy comments all the time, but
[34:48] Speaker 1: I think they're hilarious.
[34:49] Speaker 2: Oh, on YouTube, for sure.
[34:51] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
[34:52] Speaker 1: Yeah, no doubt about it. Another guy that was there,
[34:55] Speaker 1: Michael Beavers. Did you meet him? He's more of a
[34:58] Speaker 1: UFO guy, but.
[34:59] Speaker 2: Michael's a guy I know of, Michael. I've never gotten
[35:02] Speaker 2: to meet him or talk to him, but I know
[35:05] Speaker 2: he's really into UFOs in the area, which is interesting.
[35:08] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. He was there, and he actually was one
[35:11] Speaker 1: of the speakers in... he's super nice and, uh, just great, great, uh,
[35:22] Speaker 1: reference to have for UFO stuff. Cause there is, as
[35:25] Speaker 1: you know, there's some sort of weird crossover between the two, um,
[35:33] Speaker 1: that is yet to be explained.
[35:36] Speaker 2: I think, uh, a hundred percent, especially in that area.
[35:39] Speaker 1: It's great.
[35:40] Speaker 2: And the words, every goodness, There's some weird stuff going
[35:45] Speaker 2: on in that town, dude.
[35:47] Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Definitely. No.
[35:52] Speaker 2: There's dwarves and people have told me they've seen fairies
[35:57] Speaker 2: in the woods. They've seen dwarves. They've seen a 12-foot
[36:04] Speaker 2: salamander cross the road by Hills Creek Valley like a dragon.
[36:08] Speaker 2: Really weird stuff, dude.
[36:11] Speaker 1: That is really weird, but I love it. Yeah, that's
[36:16] Speaker 1: the fun part about all this is just, you know,
[36:22] Speaker 1: all the weirdness and strangeness. And the weird part about it, though,
[36:28] Speaker 1: is that it correlates with fairy tales and stories from
[36:34] Speaker 1: hundreds and hundreds of years ago, you know? So it's like,
[36:38] Speaker 1: It sounds outlandish and ridiculous, but it's an age-old story
[36:43] Speaker 1: that keeps popping up. I don't know. It's pretty weird,
[36:49] Speaker 1: but amazing.
[36:50] Speaker 2: It is amazing. So, man, it sounds like it was
[36:58] Speaker 2: definitely worth going out. You had wild times. just talking
[37:01] Speaker 2: to people and meeting people. That sounds fantastic. You're going
[37:05] Speaker 2: out in the woods over on the coast of Oregon
[37:09] Speaker 2: and you might be going other places as well, but
[37:11] Speaker 2: have you had any interesting things happen out there while
[37:15] Speaker 2: you've been, you know, researching or filming for Backwoods Bigfoot
[37:20] Speaker 2: that have, that really stick out in your mind?
[37:22] Speaker 1: Not, not a lot recently. Well, there is one thing
[37:27] Speaker 1: I got to tell you. So, Um, have you heard online? It's,
[37:35] Speaker 1: it's like the song of Mamuna. Uh, it's like, uh,
[37:42] Speaker 1: this tribe in like South Papua, New Guinea or somewhere
[37:46] Speaker 1: like that. And they, they sing this incredible, beautiful chant
[37:52] Speaker 1: and chanting song as they walk through the forest. Um,
[37:57] Speaker 1: you got to YouTube it and listen to it. It's,
[38:00] Speaker 1: sometimes I just turn it on when I want to
[38:02] Speaker 1: feel happy. You know, it's, it's really weird, uh, beautiful
[38:07] Speaker 1: song that they sing and they're actually great singers. Um,
[38:13] Speaker 1: so I was like, this song is, so I'm like,
[38:16] Speaker 1: I'm going to play this out up in the mountains,
[38:20] Speaker 1: you know? Um, so I have like a little, uh,
[38:26] Speaker 1: DeWalt speaker, you know, um, and I went up there
[38:33] Speaker 1: like kind of close to my house, but up in
[38:36] Speaker 1: the mountains, um, along the Siletz river where there's been,
[38:42] Speaker 1: I've personally talked to people that have seen them out there. Um,
[38:47] Speaker 1: cause there's a native American, um, good size native American
[38:53] Speaker 1: population here. And there's, there's a couple of reservations, grand wrong. It's, um,
[39:01] Speaker 1: So I've heard probably five different stories of Sasquatch up
[39:09] Speaker 1: there in the Sluts River area. So I went up
[39:13] Speaker 1: there with my speaker and played this song as loud
[39:19] Speaker 1: as I could. And it was like over this valley,
[39:22] Speaker 1: you know, I was up on a cliff basically. So
[39:25] Speaker 1: it was like super echoey and perfect spot to play anything.
[39:30] Speaker 1: and I usually don't try to do like whoops and
[39:36] Speaker 1: sounds and stuff because I don't know what I'm saying
[39:39] Speaker 1: type thing you know I don't you know what if
[39:43] Speaker 1: I'm you know saying the wrong thing or making fun
[39:50] Speaker 1: of anybody or i don't know just a weird feeling
[39:54] Speaker 1: i get but i was like i gotta try this
[39:56] Speaker 1: because that the song is that cool um and of
[40:00] Speaker 1: course i filmed it but of course the speaker is
[40:05] Speaker 1: so loud that you can't pick up any of it
[40:09] Speaker 1: um so i'm gonna redo it but try to put
[40:16] Speaker 1: the speaker one spot and then go, you know, a
[40:19] Speaker 1: hundred yards to the side and try to record, um,
[40:23] Speaker 1: and maybe get a shotgun mic or something hooked up
[40:28] Speaker 1: so I can actually see if I can get a
[40:33] Speaker 1: response that way. But it was really weird, man. You
[40:38] Speaker 1: gotta listen to that song and then you'll, you'll be like,
[40:40] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that makes total sense.
[40:42] Speaker 2: So You were getting responses to that song, you're saying?
[40:47] Speaker 1: Yeah. Oh, man.
[40:49] Speaker 2: Did that sound similar? Did the responses sound similar to
[40:52] Speaker 2: anything else you'd heard?
[40:54] Speaker 1: Yeah, it was like the normal weird tree knocks, and
[40:59] Speaker 1: then like the, you know, like on the serious sounds,
[41:06] Speaker 1: those whoop, whoop sounds.
[41:09] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[41:11] Speaker 1: And And it was coming from more than one spot. Um,
[41:16] Speaker 1: so that, yeah, that was really cool and really weird
[41:20] Speaker 1: and a little spooky.
[41:23] Speaker 2: So when you're out in this area, like how, how
[41:26] Speaker 2: far out are you?
[41:28] Speaker 1: Um, so if you look at a map and you go, um,
[41:37] Speaker 1: up the selects river, um, by the slits Bay. There's, uh,
[41:45] Speaker 1: what highway is that? Hi. Well, not how I want
[41:48] Speaker 1: to one is the, um, but it's two 29. So
[41:55] Speaker 1: that's highway drive. Probably like, probably like 10 miles up
[42:01] Speaker 1: that BLM road, give or take, um, to the middle
[42:06] Speaker 1: of nowhere, basically. Um, and that, The reason I picked
[42:13] Speaker 1: that spot, one, it's close to my house, and two,
[42:15] Speaker 1: I have a video on YouTube, but there was a
[42:21] Speaker 1: guy texted me or emailed in and said that he
[42:26] Speaker 1: saw one, like this was probably a couple weeks ago.
[42:29] Speaker 1: There's a little, that BLM road goes on forever. but
[42:35] Speaker 1: there's like a little bridge and he drove over it
[42:39] Speaker 1: and he looks over at the creek and there was
[42:41] Speaker 1: one just standing there. And then he was like, roll,
[42:45] Speaker 1: went to roll down his window and it took off
[42:48] Speaker 1: into the, like slowly walked, I guess, off into the,
[42:53] Speaker 1: to the bushes. So I was like, well, I gotta
[42:56] Speaker 1: go check that out. So I went down there.
[42:59] Speaker 2: Oh my goodness. So this guy contacted you directly?
[43:02] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
[43:03] Speaker 2: Wow. Because of your YouTube channel, probably?
[43:05] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. And I'm local, I think. It might have
[43:10] Speaker 1: been Facebook. No, it was YouTube. Yeah, he emailed me
[43:13] Speaker 1: off my YouTube channel. And so I went out there,
[43:19] Speaker 1: of course, and looked. And it's like thick, thick, trying
[43:27] Speaker 1: to get down to that creek. I got down to it,
[43:30] Speaker 1: but I don't know which... side of the bank he
[43:33] Speaker 1: was on and you know it was i couldn't find
[43:37] Speaker 1: anything any clues but um it was definitely super squatchy
[43:42] Speaker 1: looking area and a couple weird things did happen one
[43:49] Speaker 1: when i went up from the creek just probably like
[43:53] Speaker 1: 50 yards all these crows and birds just started going
[43:57] Speaker 1: crazy like i've had that happen all the time but
[44:01] Speaker 1: this was like weird like over exaggerated so that was
[44:07] Speaker 1: kind of spooky and then i hear a weird you
[44:12] Speaker 1: know the um missing 401 tales from dave um how
[44:20] Speaker 1: sometimes people hear like a mechanical yeah yeah sound well
[44:27] Speaker 1: i heard something just like that and it like like
[44:32] Speaker 1: sounded like If you had a giant chain link fence, like,
[44:38] Speaker 1: made into a box, and you would close the lid
[44:41] Speaker 1: that was chain link and bars and stuff, it would
[44:46] Speaker 1: make that ching. That's what it sounded like, and it
[44:49] Speaker 1: kind of moved through the forest. I didn't see anything,
[44:53] Speaker 1: but then I looked up, and there was a white...
[44:59] Speaker 1: craft I think it was a plane but it was
[45:02] Speaker 1: literally the exact time like a second after that sound
[45:06] Speaker 1: I look up and all I can see is a
[45:08] Speaker 1: white dot it could have been a plane but it
[45:11] Speaker 1: was really weird it's all in the video too the
[45:14] Speaker 1: birds and the sound I had to turn the volume
[45:17] Speaker 1: up you can kind of hear it but yeah I
[45:20] Speaker 1: was like this is spooky but.
[45:21] Speaker 2: That's why because you're you're out there by yourself about
[45:25] Speaker 2: 10 to 15 miles.
[45:26] Speaker 1: Out right yeah yep wow Yeah, that actually scared me.
[45:32] Speaker 1: Usually I don't get scared, but that was scary. Just
[45:38] Speaker 1: the timing of it.
[45:42] Speaker 2: So what would that have put the approximate date, or
[45:48] Speaker 2: I guess specific date doesn't matter, but when would that
[45:54] Speaker 2: guy have had that sighting up there, do you think?
[45:57] Speaker 1: So it was probably... No, three weeks ago or I
[46:06] Speaker 1: was just three weeks ago or maybe a month ago. Yeah,
[46:10] Speaker 1: it was recent.
[46:12] Speaker 4: Man.
[46:13] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[46:13] Speaker 1: Wow. No way. Yeah.
[46:20] Speaker 2: That that's awesome.
[46:22] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[46:25] Speaker 2: Yeah. You got to keep going up there.
[46:27] Speaker 1: Yeah. And so that's where I went up to do the,
[46:30] Speaker 1: the sound thing or the, playing to that song and
[46:35] Speaker 1: then heard that, um, that response. So I was actually
[46:41] Speaker 1: going to, cause today's my day off. So I was
[46:43] Speaker 1: actually going to try to go up there today cause
[46:45] Speaker 1: it's super nice out. Um, so yeah, it's a good area. Um,
[46:53] Speaker 1: and then another cool spot, um, and I made a
[46:57] Speaker 1: video of the area is Munson Creek Falls. It's in Tillamook.
[47:04] Speaker 1: which is probably like an hour north of where I live.
[47:08] Speaker 1: But Tillamook, as you know, has a lot of... All
[47:12] Speaker 1: the way from Vernonia.
[47:14] Speaker 2: To the coast is just stories.
[47:18] Speaker 1: And you've had people on your thing that have had
[47:21] Speaker 1: encounters in Tillamook, and that's where three of my encounters
[47:28] Speaker 1: or stories come from.
[47:31] Speaker 2: So....
[47:34] Speaker 1: Real quick. I was, I went to the Munson Creek
[47:38] Speaker 1: Falls and I went to, um, the Kilchess River, um,
[47:42] Speaker 1: and shot video and, um, Munson Creek Falls, like four
[47:49] Speaker 1: or five years ago when we had, uh, crazy fires
[47:53] Speaker 1: out here, uh, buddy, me and a buddy were camping
[47:59] Speaker 1: in Garibaldi, or not Garibaldi, but like, uh, right past Garibaldi.
[48:06] Speaker 1: And the fires, they closed the campground because you could
[48:11] Speaker 1: see fire up on the hill. So we left and
[48:14] Speaker 1: we went to the Munson Creek Falls and we pulled up.
[48:18] Speaker 1: And so it was kind of a horrible situation because
[48:22] Speaker 1: not only was there fires everywhere, the wind was just crazy.
[48:25] Speaker 1: Like when we came back to our campground, our tent
[48:28] Speaker 1: was in the trees. And then so we went to
[48:32] Speaker 1: Munson Creek Falls. just to hang out for the night.
[48:36] Speaker 1: And there was probably 50 trees knocked down so we
[48:41] Speaker 1: couldn't even make it to the falls. So we just
[48:44] Speaker 1: parked next to the tree that was closest to the
[48:49] Speaker 1: road that we couldn't get over and just walked in there.
[48:53] Speaker 1: And we heard a bunch of kind of the normal
[49:00] Speaker 1: bigfoot what you hear when you think you you're hearing
[49:03] Speaker 1: a bigfoot is the weird tree breaking and weird whoops
[49:09] Speaker 1: and all that stuff um so i'm a lady so
[49:15] Speaker 1: i made a video of that area, and a lady
[49:19] Speaker 1: emailed me, I don't know, I think it's on the
[49:22] Speaker 1: actual video, she left a comment saying a couple years
[49:26] Speaker 1: ago she was at Munson Creek Falls, and these falls,
[49:29] Speaker 1: it's like you park and there's a little hike, like
[49:32] Speaker 1: a quarter of a mile to the falls, not a
[49:35] Speaker 1: bad hike, and you can walk right back. Well, she
[49:38] Speaker 1: parked walked and she had a camera, a nice camera
[49:42] Speaker 1: and a tripod. And all of a sudden in the trail,
[49:48] Speaker 1: you're basically in a ravine. So there's, you can't go anywhere.
[49:54] Speaker 1: You're stuck, cliffs on both sides. And she heard something
[50:02] Speaker 1: up on the hill next to her. And she looks
[50:07] Speaker 1: over and there's a Sasquatch. And it freaks her out.
[50:10] Speaker 1: So she grabs her camera and tripod and starts beelining
[50:13] Speaker 1: back to her car. And it's following her the whole
[50:16] Speaker 1: way out.
[50:16] Speaker 2: Oh, my goodness.
[50:18] Speaker 1: And she was just freaking out. Like she said, it
[50:21] Speaker 1: was just the scariest thing ever. And she, it was,
[50:27] Speaker 1: you know, fight or flight. So she put her, got
[50:32] Speaker 1: back to her car. And she could just tell that
[50:35] Speaker 1: whatever it was came out of the bushes and was
[50:38] Speaker 1: standing there. like at the tree line, just mean mugging
[50:43] Speaker 1: and lurking. And she was so frightened that she said
[50:47] Speaker 1: she couldn't even turn around and look at it. And
[50:49] Speaker 1: she just threw her camera in there and got in
[50:53] Speaker 1: her car and zipped out of there.
[50:55] Speaker 2: That's terrible.
[50:58] Speaker 1: Yeah. And you can see that the, um, it's on
[51:01] Speaker 1: one of the comments. Um, I think that video was
[51:04] Speaker 1: a recent too. It's like, um, this is the titles
[51:10] Speaker 1: like the Tillamook forest has a dark reputation or something,
[51:14] Speaker 1: something like that.
[51:15] Speaker 2: Okay.
[51:17] Speaker 1: So that was cool that I had some kind of
[51:20] Speaker 1: experience there and then she did as well, you know? Um,
[51:27] Speaker 1: and then I made a Mount Hebo video. Have you,
[51:30] Speaker 1: have you had any Mount Hebo?
[51:32] Speaker 2: Um, story i want to say it's come up before
[51:36] Speaker 2: but i can't remember specifics i would have to look
[51:39] Speaker 2: at my map over on bigfootsocietypodcast.com plug for my own
[51:44] Speaker 2: website there.
[51:45] Speaker 1: You go um but people keep telling me like messaging
[51:50] Speaker 1: me or in the comments like go check out mount
[51:52] Speaker 1: hebo because it's close to my house you know okay
[51:55] Speaker 1: so I'd never been there before. That's the cool thing
[51:58] Speaker 1: too about here is there's so many spots and places
[52:02] Speaker 1: in Oregon, you know, it's like you could spend a
[52:05] Speaker 1: lifetime going to a new spot every day, you know? Um,
[52:10] Speaker 1: so I went up to Mount Hebo, super cool area.
[52:13] Speaker 1: And there's a video on my YouTube. Um, I didn't
[52:16] Speaker 1: really see any Bigfoot stuff, but a guy told me
[52:21] Speaker 1: the reason I went up there is because one of the,
[52:24] Speaker 1: people said, oh yeah, I was camping at, there's a
[52:27] Speaker 1: campground up there by the lake, really cool, beautiful lake,
[52:31] Speaker 1: that he had one kind of approaching the campground and
[52:38] Speaker 1: kind of messing with him at night. I can't remember
[52:40] Speaker 1: all the details, throwing rocks or something. So I was like, yeah,
[52:44] Speaker 1: I'll go. So I went up there and I see
[52:50] Speaker 1: why people are saying go up there because it's beautiful
[52:54] Speaker 1: and just super weird. Like, I don't know, uh, it
[52:58] Speaker 1: has weird vibes up there and you can get to
[53:01] Speaker 1: a spot where you can see all the way to
[53:03] Speaker 1: like Mount hood, Mount St. Helens and, uh, everything. And
[53:10] Speaker 1: it'd be a great, great spot to watch the skies
[53:13] Speaker 1: for sure. And then there's like an old world war two,
[53:16] Speaker 1: like radar, um, station weird thing up there so kind
[53:23] Speaker 1: of gives you that stranger things vibes up there um
[53:28] Speaker 1: but in the comments a guy again i've been trying
[53:34] Speaker 1: to i'm like hey man email me or call me
[53:37] Speaker 1: or something but hasn't yet but he's left several comments
[53:40] Speaker 1: in that video specifically but he lives close by and
[53:45] Speaker 1: he said he was close by Mount Hibo, and he
[53:50] Speaker 1: said he's had them visit him many times, and he's
[53:54] Speaker 1: heard them talking, and they slapped the house, and even, yeah,
[53:58] Speaker 1: so I'm trying to get a hold of him, because
[54:02] Speaker 1: I was like, man, I want to come see you,
[54:05] Speaker 1: come talk to you at least, or shoot a video
[54:08] Speaker 1: or something, you know, or tell me more, so, but
[54:12] Speaker 1: no luck so far, but those comments are in there too,
[54:16] Speaker 1: so you could look at that but he said he's
[54:19] Speaker 1: had years and years of interactions with oh that's awesome
[54:24] Speaker 1: yeah over there yeah and and sometimes those got man
[54:28] Speaker 1: like i i try to respond to everything like that
[54:31] Speaker 1: too on the channel the youtube channel and sometimes dude
[54:35] Speaker 1: it will take.
[54:38] Speaker 2: I mean half a year a year easy for a
[54:41] Speaker 2: person to reach out to you it's intense but it's
[54:46] Speaker 2: usually I mean it's always worth it but it can
[54:48] Speaker 2: take a long time.
[54:50] Speaker 1: Yeah I've noticed I've tried and some.
[54:53] Speaker 2: People still haven't so don't give up no.
[54:57] Speaker 1: I won't hopefully he does cause I'll send him to
[55:01] Speaker 1: you cause sounds like he has some cool things to
[55:05] Speaker 1: talk about yeah I'd love to talk to him yeah
[55:09] Speaker 1: sure and then another guy Speaking of comments, I think
[55:15] Speaker 1: he emailed me because I know you like this area,
[55:21] Speaker 1: Detroit Lake. This guy emailed me and said he had
[55:27] Speaker 1: an encounter there and his buddy had an encounter there
[55:32] Speaker 1: in the same spot a couple years apart. You know the...
[55:41] Speaker 1: I forget the name of the actual island on Detroit Lake. Oh, yeah, yeah.
[55:48] Speaker 2: Okay.
[55:49] Speaker 1: Yeah, he said up there on the actual island, like
[55:55] Speaker 1: the backside of the island. Petey Naum, I guess, is
[56:01] Speaker 1: the name of it. Yeah, it is.
[56:03] Speaker 2: I wonder if it's the same guy, because I've interviewed
[56:05] Speaker 2: a guy from the show a while back who had
[56:09] Speaker 2: a pretty intense... encounter on that island same island and
[56:14] Speaker 2: it might be a different guy which would be even
[56:16] Speaker 2: better you know.
[56:17] Speaker 1: Yeah and he said i could uh use you know
[56:23] Speaker 1: use him as a reference for if i go out
[56:25] Speaker 1: there and make a.
[56:26] Speaker 5: Video but uh you need a boat for that island
[56:32] Speaker 5: yeah you do and that's crazy because that means they're
[56:37] Speaker 5: swimming over there because it's not it's not the island's
[56:39] Speaker 5: not that big where.
[56:40] Speaker 1: They're just living there only, you know? So that's super interesting.
[56:45] Speaker 1: And we're, you know, of course you hear those stories about,
[56:48] Speaker 1: I think up in Canada and stuff, how they're swimming
[56:55] Speaker 1: through some of the islands and stuff.
[56:58] Speaker 2: Oh yeah. So that would be. Detroit is weird. It
[57:03] Speaker 2: is the one place in Oregon that comes to mind
[57:06] Speaker 2: where I have been not only gotten a lot of
[57:09] Speaker 2: Bigfoot stuff, but also a few Dogman-related things in the
[57:14] Speaker 2: same area, which I don't really get into that. I
[57:19] Speaker 2: just haven't really gotten that in Oregon. And Detroit is
[57:23] Speaker 2: the one area where it's like, yeah, both types of
[57:27] Speaker 2: reports have come in, which is very strange.
[57:30] Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't hear any Dogman reports.
[57:34] Speaker 4: And actually makes me happy. Cause I don't want to
[57:37] Speaker 4: hear any of that. The thought of that, you know,
[57:41] Speaker 4: I'm out in the woods sometimes at night by myself.
[57:44] Speaker 4: And that's the last thing I want to run into. Um,
[57:50] Speaker 4: although that Wednesday guy I was telling you about earlier, he,
[57:54] Speaker 4: he has some dog man stuff. And then I have heard, uh,
[58:00] Speaker 4: some along the, um, columbia.
[58:04] Speaker 6: River gorge which okay is yeah kind of farther away
[58:09] Speaker 6: so but yeah that's scary you've heard that in detroit man.
[58:15] Speaker 2: For sure man it's weird vibes when you drive through
[58:18] Speaker 2: that because i drove through that town to go up
[58:20] Speaker 2: to frank's uh area uh 20 yeah last year and
[58:25] Speaker 2: that was the one area where i no one really
[58:29] Speaker 2: wanted to talk to me and they were kind of
[58:31] Speaker 2: like was like, you should leave Vibes. I've never gone.
[58:35] Speaker 2: I was like, okay, well, I don't want anything to happen,
[58:39] Speaker 2: so I'll just kind of keep going. It was weird,
[58:42] Speaker 2: but it's a great place. I mean, beautiful area. People
[58:46] Speaker 2: are probably awesome, but the ones I talked to weren't
[58:50] Speaker 2: having it.
[58:51] Speaker 1: Yeah, they didn't want to have any Bigfoot. Did you
[58:56] Speaker 1: get to go to the McKenzie Riverside when you went there?
[59:02] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, dude. So the way I did it was
[59:07] Speaker 2: after Oak Ridge last year, I drove back over to
[59:12] Speaker 2: Springfield and then I took the McKinsey Highway and stopped
[59:17] Speaker 2: at Ike's Pizza. I went up over the pass and
[59:25] Speaker 2: then I was going over to I was staying at
[59:29] Speaker 2: Subtle Lake nice and then dude this one day and
[59:34] Speaker 2: i have i have a documentary that talks a little
[59:38] Speaker 2: bit about this so the one day i did this
[59:41] Speaker 2: all in one day i drove from a subtle lake
[59:44] Speaker 2: up to estacada went out with frank for four hours
[59:48] Speaker 2: went to the nabc for an hour then i had
[59:51] Speaker 2: to drive all the way back to subtle lake because
[59:53] Speaker 2: i was staying there so i decided to drive through
[59:57] Speaker 2: um uh, the reservation. Was it Springs? Yeah. And dude,
[1:00:04] Speaker 2: on the way back, that's when I almost drove. Remember
[1:00:09] Speaker 2: the Prineville fire?
[1:00:10] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[1:00:11] Speaker 2: So I almost drove into that. And I actually almost like,
[1:00:15] Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure I almost died a few times. Cause
[1:00:17] Speaker 2: I was like almost passing out in the car as
[1:00:19] Speaker 2: I was driving. Super scary. Learned a lot of lessons
[1:00:22] Speaker 2: that day. Uh, but I finally made it back to
[1:00:25] Speaker 2: subtle and like stuff is starting to burn. And I'm like, um,
[1:00:28] Speaker 2: got to get out of here. Yeah. And then left
[1:00:32] Speaker 2: and then flew out from Eugene the next day. It was,
[1:00:37] Speaker 2: it was a crazy time after, after Sasquatch Summerfest.
[1:00:44] Speaker 1: That's a long loop, dude. Yeah.
[1:00:47] Speaker 2: It looks, it's, it's a thing where people need to
[1:00:50] Speaker 2: be aware of this. You look at it on like
[1:00:52] Speaker 2: a map and you're like, Oh, that's totally doable. Dude,
[1:00:55] Speaker 2: you got to remember like elevation, And it takes so long,
[1:01:00] Speaker 2: like you cannot over, you can't go crazy with this stuff.
[1:01:05] Speaker 2: Like you don't bite off more than you can chew
[1:01:08] Speaker 2: for safety's sake.
[1:01:09] Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I've done that with a buddy of mine.
[1:01:13] Speaker 1: He used to be like, oh yeah, let's go this one.
[1:01:15] Speaker 1: Or I got a shortcut and we would do almost
[1:01:18] Speaker 1: that same route. And I'm like, it's 5 a.m. You're,
[1:01:24] Speaker 1: you're going five miles an hour. falling asleep we need
[1:01:27] Speaker 1: to pull over and just nap right.
[1:01:29] Speaker 2: Here dude like yeah for sure for sure.
[1:01:33] Speaker 1: But and it's just if something does happen there's no
[1:01:39] Speaker 1: one out there you know i mean like yeah you
[1:01:41] Speaker 1: might see a car for five hours.
[1:01:43] Speaker 2: But people need to realize like that's something i learned
[1:01:45] Speaker 2: too is like once you hit uh the mckinsey highway
[1:01:50] Speaker 2: and it's like once you hit rainbow you're like oh
[1:01:54] Speaker 2: no If anything happens to me out here, I'm done
[1:01:58] Speaker 2: because there are, I have not seen a police officer
[1:02:03] Speaker 2: or an emergency vehicle. And if someone comes out, like
[1:02:07] Speaker 2: you guys take care of yourself.
[1:02:08] Speaker 1: It's crazy.
[1:02:09] Speaker 2: I've never experienced that before.
[1:02:10] Speaker 1: It's wild.
[1:02:12] Speaker 2: Yeah. Different world out there, but beautiful country.
[1:02:15] Speaker 1: Yeah. Rainbow. Rainbow is crazy.
[1:02:18] Speaker 2: If you go over there and the blue river.
[1:02:21] Speaker 1: Reservoir and Cougar reservoir, I've had some weird stuff happen
[1:02:26] Speaker 1: there and heard stories and that, that little rainbows literally
[1:02:30] Speaker 1: just what a motel, a store and a pizza place. Right. Yeah.
[1:02:37] Speaker 2: Some weird vibes, even just driving on that highway. Like
[1:02:40] Speaker 2: I remember I drove, you know, Finn rock.
[1:02:43] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[1:02:44] Speaker 2: So I drove, I was driving and all of a
[1:02:47] Speaker 2: sudden I got hit with like crazy weird vibes out
[1:02:50] Speaker 2: of what is going on. And I look up and
[1:02:52] Speaker 2: it's like this huge rock here. And I'm like, there's
[1:02:54] Speaker 2: something weird about this area. It just freaked me out.
[1:02:58] Speaker 2: It's a cool rock, but I was like, there's something
[1:03:00] Speaker 2: gotta be weird about this area here.
[1:03:02] Speaker 1: Yeah, that whole area is weird. And you know, you
[1:03:06] Speaker 1: ever heard of the Rainbow Festival? Where a bunch of
[1:03:11] Speaker 1: hippies go and live in the forest or whatever? Yeah.
[1:03:17] Speaker 1: That was like the place where the first one That's
[1:03:22] Speaker 1: why it's called the Rainbow Festival. And the local lore
[1:03:27] Speaker 1: is some of those people never left and they're living
[1:03:31] Speaker 1: out there in the woods still.
[1:03:33] Speaker 2: No way.
[1:03:34] Speaker 1: Yeah. And I would believe it because I've had weird
[1:03:40] Speaker 1: experiences where you, like I saw there either some of
[1:03:44] Speaker 1: those people or my buddy saw it. you're there they
[1:03:49] Speaker 1: were like feral people living out there like one of
[1:03:52] Speaker 1: the two and yeah it's weird.
[1:03:56] Speaker 2: Dude can you imagine feral hippies but also having encounters
[1:04:00] Speaker 2: with sasquatch like it totally could happen.
[1:04:02] Speaker 7: Yeah wild man yeah and there's hot springs up there
[1:04:05] Speaker 7: too where uh on cougar reservoir where there's a lot
[1:04:12] Speaker 7: of strange folks that go up there and.

[1:06:02] Speaker 1: do as many videos as I can. I have a
[1:06:03] Speaker 1: whole bunch of stuff I filmed that I need to
[1:06:06] Speaker 1: make into videos, but, um, just time-wise it's, you know,
[1:06:12] Speaker 1: someday I'll hopefully be able to quit my job and
[1:06:15] Speaker 1: just make videos every day, all day. That would be
[1:06:18] Speaker 1: the dream. But until then I'll do it as often
