In this episode, we explore the experience of Angela, a business professional who never expected a family visit to lead to a life-altering encounter. While staying on secluded timberland outside Demopolis, Alabama, surrounded by dense forest, hunting leases, and a winding creek, Angela found herself immersed in an environment rich with wildlife and deep isolation. What began as peaceful walks through the woods and quiet nights in a remote home took on new meaning during a late evening when something made its presence known just beyond her bedroom window. Angela recounts the atmosphere of rural west-central Alabama, where tall pines press in close, darkness settles thick at night, and human neighbors are miles away. She describes how the setting itself shaped the experience, from the heavy woods surrounding the house to the porch and clearing where unexplained activity later appeared. Her account reflects the lasting impact of a single moment in a place where few people venture and fewer still speak openly about what they encounter. Join us as Angela shares her story from the forests near Demopolis, offering a grounded and thoughtful look at how one night in rural Alabama reshaped her understanding of the natural world and the mysteries that may still inhabit it. 🗣️ Share Your Story Had a Bigfoot encounter or strange experience? [0:00] Speaker 1: You're listening to BIGFA Society, and I'm Jeremiah Byron. In
[0:03] Speaker 1: this show, we go beyond the campfire stories to bring
[0:05] Speaker 1: you first hand encounters from people who say they've seen
[0:08] Speaker 1: something impossible. From backwoods trails and remote mountain haulers to
[0:12] Speaker 1: quiet farms and crowded highways. The stories come from everywhere,
[0:16] Speaker 1: and each one leaves us with more questions than answers.
[0:20] Speaker 1: These are the voices of the people who've lived it.
[0:24] Speaker 1: To settle in, because today you'll hear another account that
[0:27] Speaker 1: just might change the way you see the woods forever.
[0:30] Speaker 1: So stay with us, all right, Big for Society. You've
[0:32] Speaker 1: got the privilege of talking to Angela today. Angela is
[0:35] Speaker 1: a listener based out of Texas and also a business
[0:39] Speaker 1: professional down there. And how are you doing today, Angela?
[0:43] Speaker 2: I'm doing great.
[0:44] Speaker 3: I'm enjoying the sunshine after the frozen tundra I think
[0:48] Speaker 3: we all experienced here this last week.
[0:51] Speaker 1: Absolutely, it'd be great to get that storm out of
[0:54] Speaker 1: there for sure. Is there anything else that listeners would
[0:58] Speaker 1: want to know about yourself before we get chatting about
[1:01] Speaker 1: your experience?
[1:03] Speaker 2: Oh? Absolutely.
[1:05] Speaker 3: I am a business professional professional I have been for
[1:08] Speaker 3: twenty years. I'm pretty much what you call a no
[1:11] Speaker 3: nonsense girl show me more or less. And I've heard
[1:17] Speaker 3: stories and I've seen some shows regarding Bigfoot, and.
[1:24] Speaker 2: I was a little on the fence about it, you know.
[1:27] Speaker 2: I was kind of like the general population, well, we
[1:30] Speaker 2: don't have one, so we can't prove that it exists.
[1:32] Speaker 3: Well, my mind's been totally changed, I think because of
[1:36] Speaker 3: this experience. It made me realize that there's so much
[1:39] Speaker 3: more out there that we don't know that exists. I mean,
[1:44] Speaker 3: we're making discoveries every single day of new species all
[1:48] Speaker 3: around the world. So I don't know how people can
[1:52] Speaker 3: honestly say, well, no, this is all you know, this
[1:56] Speaker 3: doesn't exist.
[1:57] Speaker 2: People are seeing things.
[1:59] Speaker 3: And the fact that there's way too many people that
[2:01] Speaker 3: have had experiences, some similar.
[2:03] Speaker 2: To mine, some more I don't even more scarier than
[2:09] Speaker 2: what mine was.
[2:11] Speaker 3: And my story began, well, it starts what happened in
[2:16] Speaker 3: twenty sixteen in Alabama. I was employed in New Orleans
[2:21] Speaker 3: at the time, working as an office manager for a
[2:26] Speaker 3: fabrication company, and my sister and brother in law also
[2:31] Speaker 3: lived there, and they purchased a home outside of Demopolis, Alabama.
[2:37] Speaker 3: Actually they built it and they bought a.
[2:41] Speaker 2: Parcel of a large.
[2:45] Speaker 3: Amount of land that they leased for deer hunting, and
[2:50] Speaker 3: it was on a single road, the only house out there.
[2:53] Speaker 3: And in this area, timber is a big industry, you know,
[2:58] Speaker 3: like paper plants.
[3:01] Speaker 2: It's filled with a lot of trees, pine, trees, you
[3:03] Speaker 2: name it.
[3:04] Speaker 3: There's all different kinds there and my brother in law
[3:09] Speaker 3: hunted and on their property. Towards the back of it,
[3:13] Speaker 3: there was this creek that ran through it and I
[3:16] Speaker 3: would often take walks through the woods to go and
[3:23] Speaker 3: sit back there because there was a family of beavers
[3:25] Speaker 3: that lived back there and it was kind of fun
[3:27] Speaker 3: just watching them. And my sister had blue healers and
[3:32] Speaker 3: they would often go with me. And the only thing
[3:37] Speaker 3: they ever alerted on was the rather large it was
[3:39] Speaker 3: about four cords worth of fire wood, because we loved
[3:42] Speaker 3: sitting outside and around the fire pit, you know, at night,
[3:46] Speaker 3: and they would it would take me. I would have
[3:50] Speaker 3: to literally like yell at them and to make them come,
[3:53] Speaker 3: and they never alerted to anything else while I was
[3:57] Speaker 3: out there. And there were times when I would take
[3:59] Speaker 3: these waters and I would feel like I'm being watched,
[4:03] Speaker 3: and I'm.
[4:04] Speaker 2: Sure people understand that feeling.
[4:07] Speaker 3: The it was like I knew that I wasn't alone,
[4:12] Speaker 3: and I would stop and look around, and you know,
[4:14] Speaker 3: the hair on the back of your neck kind of
[4:17] Speaker 3: stands up, and I'm thinking, Okay, Angela, you know you're exaggerating,
[4:23] Speaker 3: and I would continue on with no event and go
[4:25] Speaker 3: back there and watch the beavers damn up the creek,
[4:28] Speaker 3: which now turned it into like a swampy area there.
[4:32] Speaker 3: But what people need to understand is there is abundant wildlife.
[4:36] Speaker 3: I mean, the deer are everywhere you name it, it's there.
[4:42] Speaker 3: I know that Alabama does have some bear in the region,
[4:45] Speaker 3: but we had been going there for quite some time,
[4:48] Speaker 3: and everyone in the general said they hadn't seen a
[4:51] Speaker 3: bear or anything like that there for years. So it's
[4:53] Speaker 3: predominantly your smaller animals and deer and things like and things.
[4:58] Speaker 2: Like that that lived, you know, within the forest of
[5:03] Speaker 2: that area.
[5:04] Speaker 3: And so it was one weekend, it was during deer season,
[5:09] Speaker 3: and my brother in law was going to hunt that
[5:12] Speaker 3: weekend and he had done that and he did get
[5:17] Speaker 3: a deer and he processed it and put it in
[5:23] Speaker 3: the cooler, a locking outdoor cooler to where you know,
[5:26] Speaker 3: it could age and finish doing so that we would
[5:30] Speaker 3: come back the next weekend and actually processed the deer.
[5:35] Speaker 2: And it was late. We had burned fire.
[5:38] Speaker 3: We had a fire, nice fire outside, and we were
[5:41] Speaker 3: really targets. It had been a long day and we
[5:44] Speaker 3: all came in, dogs included, and.
[5:48] Speaker 2: I went to my bedroom, which is directly across from theirs,
[5:51] Speaker 2: and went to bed. I had brought a book with
[5:55] Speaker 2: me that I wanted to.
[5:57] Speaker 3: Continue reading, and so I turned my lamp on, you know,
[6:02] Speaker 3: beside my bed, and started reading. And what I need
[6:07] Speaker 3: for people to understand is that this is a very
[6:10] Speaker 3: heavily wooded area.
[6:12] Speaker 2: And the house was set back. We had a general clearing.
[6:15] Speaker 3: Around the house, but we were literally surrounded by very
[6:19] Speaker 3: tall trees and it was very heavily wooded. And as
[6:23] Speaker 3: I was reading my book, oh wait, let me back up.
[6:29] Speaker 3: When at night in my bedroom, if you don't have
[6:32] Speaker 3: any lights on, you literally can't see your hand in
[6:35] Speaker 3: front of your face because you know, of the heavily
[6:39] Speaker 3: wooded region. And I liked it because you know, I
[6:41] Speaker 3: could sleep, so I would often leave the curtains open
[6:44] Speaker 3: during the.
[6:44] Speaker 2: Day to let light in. Well, I went to bed
[6:47] Speaker 2: and I.
[6:48] Speaker 3: Was reading my book, and my curtains were opened by
[6:51] Speaker 3: the window to the left of my bed, and I'm
[6:54] Speaker 3: laying there and I hear something, but I don't really
[6:57] Speaker 3: think anything of it, because you know, it could be
[6:59] Speaker 3: a raccoon, it could be an armadilla. You just you know,
[7:04] Speaker 3: we've seen plenty of those out there. And so I
[7:07] Speaker 3: read for about twenty minutes and I decided, you know, okay,
[7:11] Speaker 3: I need to go to sleep.
[7:12] Speaker 2: I'm tired.
[7:14] Speaker 3: And so I get up, and you know, my lamp
[7:17] Speaker 3: still on, and I go to close the curtains and
[7:21] Speaker 3: I don't even know how to describe what I heard,
[7:25] Speaker 3: but it was right directly on the other side of
[7:28] Speaker 3: the window. It was between a growl and this howl.
[7:33] Speaker 3: I've never heard anything like it.
[7:36] Speaker 2: I am very.
[7:39] Speaker 3: Aware of animals and the animals around there in animal sounds,
[7:43] Speaker 3: even there sounds, and I had heard nothing like it.
[7:46] Speaker 3: And it froze me in my track because I knew
[7:50] Speaker 3: whatever it was was directly on the other side of
[7:53] Speaker 3: this window. And what froze me more is that I
[7:58] Speaker 3: felt it when it did that, I felt it literally
[8:04] Speaker 3: go through me, and it stopped me in my track.
[8:06] Speaker 3: So I'm standing there and I'm holding the curtains and
[8:11] Speaker 3: I can't see what's on the other side of the
[8:13] Speaker 3: window because the lamp is causing a reflection.
[8:17] Speaker 2: And quite honestly, I didn't want to see because I
[8:21] Speaker 2: knew it was big.
[8:23] Speaker 3: I knew whatever it was was much, definitely bigger than
[8:27] Speaker 3: a bear. And it did it again, and it kind
[8:32] Speaker 3: of knocked me out of the frozen tear I was in,
[8:35] Speaker 3: and I slammed the curtains clothes and I literally leaped
[8:39] Speaker 3: from there on the bed and I could hear movement outside,
[8:44] Speaker 3: but outright directly outside my window. We have an open
[8:48] Speaker 3: porch and there was a very heavy metal bench for
[8:52] Speaker 3: those that, you know, wanted to go sit outside there
[8:55] Speaker 3: and watch nature, because there was always something, you know,
[8:58] Speaker 3: some animals, the flying squirrels, you know.
[9:00] Speaker 2: That you could see.
[9:02] Speaker 3: And I have never felt fear like that in my
[9:06] Speaker 3: life ever. And I sat on my bed and I
[9:10] Speaker 3: was perfectly still, and I listened, and I could hear movement,
[9:14] Speaker 3: and then finally it went quiet and my brain started
[9:19] Speaker 3: functioning again. And I don't know if anyone else has
[9:22] Speaker 3: that experience. It's like everything stops, like your brain stops functioning.
[9:27] Speaker 2: You're just frozen there.
[9:30] Speaker 3: And when I didn't hear any noise, my brain kicked
[9:35] Speaker 3: in and it said, okay, could this Your brother in
[9:40] Speaker 3: law's trying to play a joke on you with something.
[9:42] Speaker 3: You try to rationalize what you just experienced, and you can't.
[9:47] Speaker 3: So I got off the bed, opened my bedroom door
[9:50] Speaker 3: and cracked theirs to see and he was. They were
[9:55] Speaker 3: all sleeping, snoring, even the dogs. And I quietly closed
[9:59] Speaker 3: the door back. And I didn't get much sleep that night.
[10:02] Speaker 3: I will tell you that I don't want to know
[10:06] Speaker 3: what was on the other side of that window. And
[10:09] Speaker 3: I was not about to go outside. So the next morning,
[10:12] Speaker 3: you know, I maybe got two hours asleep because I
[10:16] Speaker 3: was afraid that, you know, it was going to come back,
[10:18] Speaker 3: whatever this was. And so I told my brother in
[10:21] Speaker 3: law what had happened, and he just kind of looked,
[10:23] Speaker 3: and he.
[10:24] Speaker 2: Said, well, let's go and look.
[10:26] Speaker 3: And sure enough, we went around to the front of
[10:28] Speaker 3: the house and I followed him out and I'm looking.
[10:31] Speaker 3: I won't lie to you, I'm kind of looking around
[10:34] Speaker 3: and that big metal bench had been moved so much
[10:36] Speaker 3: that part of it was in the grass and part
[10:38] Speaker 3: of it was still on the porch.
[10:40] Speaker 2: Now I cannot tell you with one hundred.
[10:43] Speaker 3: Percent assurance that it was a bigfoot. But shortly after that, I.
[10:51] Speaker 2: Was watching another documentary and I heard this.
[10:55] Speaker 3: Howl grunt that someone had recorded, and I got the
[10:59] Speaker 3: chill immediately because I recognize that, and that's exactly, to
[11:05] Speaker 3: the best of my knowledge, what I heard that night,
[11:09] Speaker 3: and it changed me. It changed my opinion, it changed
[11:14] Speaker 3: my thought processes because I truly believe there is a
[11:18] Speaker 3: lot more out there than we realize that's living among us.
[11:24] Speaker 3: And so that predominantly is my story that I wanted
[11:28] Speaker 3: to share and to assure people that have had experiences
[11:32] Speaker 3: like me to know it was a real experience and
[11:37] Speaker 3: you know, it's okay. I understand the fear. I understand
[11:42] Speaker 3: what it does to me when I talk about it again,
[11:45] Speaker 3: because it's like I'm right back there, and I promise
[11:48] Speaker 3: you if you had been there with me, standing beside me,
[11:51] Speaker 3: you would have felt the same thing I felt.
[11:53] Speaker 2: And that's my experience that I.
[11:56] Speaker 1: Had that is really interesting. So first, thank you for Sharon,
[12:01] Speaker 1: and I have a few questions for you. So, when
[12:08] Speaker 1: you were staying in that room, was it normal then
[12:12] Speaker 1: for you to have the curtains open or drawn?
[12:18] Speaker 2: They were open until after that event.
[12:22] Speaker 3: I never let I let them open during the day
[12:25] Speaker 3: because when it's heavily wooded, it kind of filters the sunlight,
[12:29] Speaker 3: and so I would leave them open during the day,
[12:32] Speaker 3: but not anymore after that. I never left the curtain
[12:35] Speaker 3: open in my bedroom again after that night.
[12:37] Speaker 1: Never, right, never, I don't blame you. It's kind of
[12:41] Speaker 1: an interesting pattern that I've heard over the years, where
[12:47] Speaker 1: you know, it's usually a female looks over or hears
[12:53] Speaker 1: a sound near the window. There's either something looking in
[12:57] Speaker 1: the window or she hears something over there, and the
[13:01] Speaker 1: pattern is that the blinds have been open the whole time,
[13:06] Speaker 1: so kind of leads into where you hear you know,
[13:11] Speaker 1: there's a curiosity there, and so sometimes you hear where
[13:16] Speaker 1: they've been watching TV along with the witness. The witness
[13:19] Speaker 1: looks over their shoulder, there's a face in the window
[13:22] Speaker 1: watching TV or they're watching people. And this is kind
[13:24] Speaker 1: of like an example potentially of you know, they see
[13:27] Speaker 1: through the blinds that are open. But is this Have
[13:32] Speaker 1: you heard of any other bigfoot activity in this area
[13:34] Speaker 1: around Demopolis?
[13:38] Speaker 2: No, you know, not really.
[13:40] Speaker 3: I mean, we knew a few people there, but that
[13:44] Speaker 3: was not a topic anyone ever brought up. And I
[13:47] Speaker 3: shared my experience with my brother in law, and he
[13:49] Speaker 3: never really spoke about it again. And I know that
[13:53] Speaker 3: he has not had any experiences while he was out
[13:56] Speaker 3: in the woods. And I know this is you know,
[13:59] Speaker 3: a little bit more south, you know, in Alabama, but
[14:04] Speaker 3: I'm sure that there's other people in that area that
[14:07] Speaker 3: have had some experiences.
[14:08] Speaker 2: There has to be I don't think mine was just
[14:11] Speaker 2: a fluke or a want and done.
[14:13] Speaker 3: I just don't think that people are comfortable talking about it.
[14:17] Speaker 2: Because of the stigma that's placed on them.
[14:22] Speaker 3: But I will tell you, after experiencing what I experienced,
[14:24] Speaker 3: I think more of us should come forward and share
[14:28] Speaker 3: their stories because I don't think there's quite enough being
[14:33] Speaker 3: done to try to discover exactly what this species is.
[14:40] Speaker 3: But I am one hundred percent convinced it exists, and
[14:44] Speaker 3: I'm one hundred percent convinced that these experiences that I'm
[14:48] Speaker 3: now learning about are one hundred percent real, and I
[14:53] Speaker 3: do not believe that they're there or any other animal
[14:56] Speaker 3: that people try to say that it is. And only
[15:01] Speaker 3: the ones that have experienced things like me and even
[15:04] Speaker 3: what I would consider worse, like you know, one on
[15:08] Speaker 3: one confrontation, understand that fear and and understand the terror
[15:14] Speaker 3: that that that you experience in that moment because your
[15:19] Speaker 3: brain can't comprehend honestly what you're hearing and are seeing.
[15:25] Speaker 2: It's that's just my personal opinion on the matter.
[15:29] Speaker 1: Sure, and I would there's got to be other things
[15:32] Speaker 1: happening around this area, because if you know, I have
[15:34] Speaker 1: a map I put together of just people I've talked
[15:36] Speaker 1: to on Bigfoot Society podcasts dot com, and Demopolis is
[15:42] Speaker 1: like right in the center of this area that there's
[15:46] Speaker 1: nothing else in there, But I mean there's stuff east
[15:49] Speaker 1: of it over by uh uh on the way to Montgomery, Alabama,
[15:54] Speaker 1: and then you go west over towards Mississippi, there's stuff
[15:58] Speaker 1: over there, So I mean, make sense, there's I would
[16:01] Speaker 1: imagine there's got to be someone listening to this and
[16:03] Speaker 1: they're like, oh, yeah, I had something happen too, for sure,
[16:06] Speaker 1: But you know, how did this affect you in the
[16:11] Speaker 1: time after you had this happen.
[16:16] Speaker 3: Well, they eventually sold the home several years later, and
[16:20] Speaker 3: another family had moved in fell in love with it.
[16:23] Speaker 3: But I was scared to go into the woods for
[16:26] Speaker 3: a while, and I made sure I took my dogs
[16:28] Speaker 3: and I carried I will tell you that I enjoyed
[16:32] Speaker 3: going to watch the Beaver family, but it changed, It
[16:36] Speaker 3: changed a lot of that for me. It made me realize,
[16:40] Speaker 3: there are things out there that are bigger than you, and.
[16:46] Speaker 2: We don't know what they will do if we come
[16:49] Speaker 2: up on one. You know, are they going to be aggressive?
[16:52] Speaker 2: Are they just going to run? You know, what are
[16:54] Speaker 2: they going to do? You just don't know. But yes,
[16:57] Speaker 2: it's changed me.
[16:58] Speaker 3: And even going into heavily wooded areas today, I.
[17:01] Speaker 2: Mean, I am on high alert. I'm not alone.
[17:04] Speaker 3: I will tell you that I do not go alone.
[17:07] Speaker 3: I will not go alone. I'm usually with someone or
[17:10] Speaker 3: a group, and but I'm always listening and I'm always looking.
[17:15] Speaker 3: Now it changes your perspective about everything, because for the
[17:19] Speaker 3: few years I've been going there, I never ever felt
[17:23] Speaker 3: threatened or uneasy when I was in these in these woods,
[17:28] Speaker 3: and you know, to me, it was beautiful and it
[17:32] Speaker 3: was peaceful and to watch the flying squirrels, and it
[17:35] Speaker 3: most definitely changed my perspective about all of that.
[17:40] Speaker 2: And that makes me sad. I guess in a way.
[17:44] Speaker 3: You know, ignorance is bliss if you know, you just
[17:47] Speaker 3: go on about your day. But after that experience, no
[17:51] Speaker 3: I never wandered back there. I was either my sister
[17:54] Speaker 3: would be with me, or one of their guests would
[17:56] Speaker 3: be with me, you know, another adult would be with
[18:00] Speaker 3: me during that time.
[18:02] Speaker 4: But I was kind of relieved when they sold it
[18:05] Speaker 4: because I just be honest with you, I've got to really,
[18:09] Speaker 4: you know, because we had a pet cemetery back there,
[18:12] Speaker 4: so as we lost pets, you know, we you know,
[18:16] Speaker 4: she would like to go play Homer, so I always
[18:18] Speaker 4: went with her.
[18:18] Speaker 3: I didn't I never let her go along, but we
[18:20] Speaker 3: to my knowledge, they never had an experience, or they
[18:24] Speaker 3: didn't realize what the experience was, or they just.
[18:28] Speaker 2: Didn't want to talk about it, one or the other.
[18:31] Speaker 3: And but I'm happy to share mine and hopefully someone
[18:36] Speaker 3: else in that area will come forward that's listening to
[18:39] Speaker 3: this and let you know it's okay too. You can
[18:43] Speaker 3: still maintain your privacy, but I think people.
[18:47] Speaker 2: Need to be more aware and open minded about this.
[18:52] Speaker 1: Absolutely. Do you think that it would have been harder
[18:55] Speaker 1: for you if you had actually seen what was on
[18:57] Speaker 1: the other side of that glass?
[19:00] Speaker 2: Oh?
[19:01] Speaker 3: Absolutely, I probably would have never returned there again. To
[19:05] Speaker 3: be honest with you, if you would have felt what
[19:08] Speaker 3: vibrated through my body and if you would have heard
[19:11] Speaker 3: what I heard less than a foot from your face,
[19:15] Speaker 3: I did not want to know what was on the
[19:19] Speaker 3: other side of that glass because it's hard to describe
[19:23] Speaker 3: that experience. I never want to experience it again. I
[19:27] Speaker 3: will be quite frankly honest with you. I've never want
[19:31] Speaker 3: to experience that again. Ever, it changed a lot for me.
[19:37] Speaker 3: It most definitely did. And you know, I reside in
[19:40] Speaker 3: Texas and it's wide open spaces, and this is what
[19:44] Speaker 3: I find. You might get some humor, but this could
[19:47] Speaker 3: be a lot of people that have had experiences like me.
[19:51] Speaker 3: I tend to go and look where the bigfoot are
[19:54] Speaker 3: and there's some within the fringe area of my general region,
[19:59] Speaker 3: but nothing in the general area so far that's been reported. Okay,
[20:05] Speaker 3: I also feel they migrate. I'm convinced that they migrate
[20:10] Speaker 3: because it's almost like the same time of year, the
[20:15] Speaker 3: same months, the activity increases and then it decreases. I mean,
[20:20] Speaker 3: I'm just a guessing it's a guessing game at this
[20:23] Speaker 3: point for me.
[20:23] Speaker 1: But absolutely. But yeah, I'm glad you brought that up,
[20:27] Speaker 1: because I was actually going to bring that up. Is
[20:30] Speaker 1: you're you're in Texas, Texas has a lot of habitat
[20:34] Speaker 1: for these guys, and so that's good. It sounds like
[20:37] Speaker 1: you've done your homework to see how close you potentially
[20:41] Speaker 1: are and how how alert you need to be when
[20:45] Speaker 1: you when you go out.
[20:48] Speaker 3: You do need to be alert. And I love the
[20:50] Speaker 3: hill country. I love, you know, around the junction area
[20:55] Speaker 3: San Antonio and the heavily wooded areas. You know, I
[20:59] Speaker 3: like lion in those areas up they're there.
[21:02] Speaker 2: It's beautiful to go to.
[21:04] Speaker 3: But I I kind of pay attention when even when
[21:07] Speaker 3: I'm traveling today, I'll look and I'll go, oh, okay,
[21:10] Speaker 3: we're not much going on here.
[21:12] Speaker 2: We're good.
[21:13] Speaker 3: You know.
[21:14] Speaker 2: I cannot tell you the profound effect it has on
[21:18] Speaker 2: me to this day. And that was twenty sixteen.
[21:23] Speaker 3: And no, I'm not going to go into the woods
[21:25] Speaker 3: without something to protect myself with, No, never again, ever.
[21:29] Speaker 2: Absolutely, I promise.
[21:31] Speaker 3: You that.
[21:34] Speaker 1: Sometimes when individuals have encounters like this and it's very
[21:40] Speaker 1: close or in certain areas, did you start experiencing anything
[21:45] Speaker 1: else out of the ordinary in your life for any
[21:49] Speaker 1: intense dreams or anything like that.
[21:52] Speaker 3: Oh, I've dreamed about it, and I've dreamed that hands
[21:56] Speaker 3: come through the window.
[21:57] Speaker 2: I mean, it's like this stays with you.
[22:02] Speaker 3: This isn't a dream, This isn't you know you wake
[22:06] Speaker 3: up from a bad dream and a few days later
[22:08] Speaker 3: you're over it.
[22:09] Speaker 2: This changes you.
[22:11] Speaker 3: And you know, I have fear from that, and I
[22:15] Speaker 3: don't know if you can hear it in my voice,
[22:17] Speaker 3: and my voice is getting a little bit wobbly here.
[22:21] Speaker 3: But when you experience something like this, it changes you.
[22:27] Speaker 3: It changes it forces you to face the idea that
[22:33] Speaker 3: there is something out.
[22:34] Speaker 2: There that we don't know about yet. I mean, we
[22:38] Speaker 2: hear about it, but I promise.
[22:42] Speaker 3: You you only have to have one experience to be
[22:45] Speaker 3: a believer.
[22:47] Speaker 2: And I don't honestly wish this on anyone. I don't.
[22:51] Speaker 3: It's haunted me even today, like right now, as I'm
[22:56] Speaker 3: talking about it, I'm getting that fear in and that trepidation.
[23:04] Speaker 2: That I felt that night.
[23:07] Speaker 3: But yes, I've had dreams about it. Yes I've dreamed
[23:10] Speaker 3: that I've seen it. I yes, I dreamed that it
[23:14] Speaker 3: broke the window and hang through I you know, And
[23:17] Speaker 3: that's continued on now.
[23:19] Speaker 2: It's been about two years since I've had a dream
[23:23] Speaker 2: about it.
[23:23] Speaker 3: But I find that when I talk about it, I
[23:26] Speaker 3: usually do within you know, within a couple of weeks,
[23:30] Speaker 3: so I'm hoping not this time.
[23:32] Speaker 2: But you know, it's it's it changes you.
[23:37] Speaker 3: It changes you your way of thinking, and it forces
[23:40] Speaker 3: you to face the fact that there's more than just
[23:44] Speaker 3: us in the typical animals we see wandering in the
[23:48] Speaker 3: vast woods and forests that very few people even go to,
[23:52] Speaker 3: you know, that have seen or step foot on, and
[23:56] Speaker 3: I don't know what.
[24:00] Speaker 2: They would do.
[24:03] Speaker 3: You hear stories. You hear stories where they've run, You
[24:06] Speaker 3: hear stories where they, you know, have not been aggressive
[24:10] Speaker 3: of all, and then you hear stories where yeah they were,
[24:14] Speaker 3: you're being chased, and stories of people that were maybe
[24:18] Speaker 3: physically attacked. It's an it's it's it's a it's it's
[24:23] Speaker 3: a species that we know little or nothing about, and
[24:26] Speaker 3: you definitely don't want to go into a situation knowing
[24:31] Speaker 3: that there may be some there without some type of plan.
[24:36] Speaker 3: And you know, like I said, this changes me in
[24:41] Speaker 3: and listening to other people talk, I can so relate
[24:45] Speaker 3: to them now because I can hear the fear in
[24:48] Speaker 3: the men's voices and the women's voices. And like I said,
[24:53] Speaker 3: all it takes is one experience to wake you up.
[24:57] Speaker 3: And trust me when I say I was well enough
[25:01] Speaker 3: by this experience.
[25:02] Speaker 1: Absolutely. Is there anything that you found to be helpful
[25:08] Speaker 1: or effective that has made it easier to deal with
[25:13] Speaker 1: what you experienced those years ago?
[25:16] Speaker 2: Absolutely?
[25:18] Speaker 3: This right here, podcasts people coming to the forefront and
[25:25] Speaker 3: the investigations and allowing people to talk about their experiences
[25:30] Speaker 3: without judgment, without having the fear in the community of like, oh, well.
[25:37] Speaker 2: Was he drinking? Was he?
[25:38] Speaker 3: You know, without being judged and ridiculed and ostracized about
[25:44] Speaker 3: these experiences. You and give people a platform in which
[25:50] Speaker 3: they can come and feel safe enough to express their
[25:56] Speaker 3: experiences without judgment. And that's key is if someone comes
[26:03] Speaker 3: to you and they tell you that they've had an experience,
[26:08] Speaker 3: even if you're a non believer, please.
[26:11] Speaker 2: Have enough respect for them to listen.
[26:14] Speaker 3: And to entertain the simple fact that this probably did occur,
[26:20] Speaker 3: something occurred, something that affected them so deeply has occurred,
[26:25] Speaker 3: And take them serious, because I will tell you it's changed.
[26:31] Speaker 2: I know it's changed my life.
[26:34] Speaker 3: I look at things totally different now, and I guarantee
[26:37] Speaker 3: you it's changed theirs. But just have enough open mind,
[26:44] Speaker 3: have enough of an open mind to consider that maybe
[26:50] Speaker 3: this really did happen, and maybe I need to be
[26:53] Speaker 3: more aware about situations like this, or at least study,
[27:01] Speaker 3: look at the facts, you know, find reptable people like
[27:04] Speaker 3: this podcast and other people that are scientifically trying to
[27:10] Speaker 3: study this, and just.
[27:15] Speaker 2: Be open minded enough to say, Okay, this possibly could.
[27:18] Speaker 3: Exist, because I will tell you unequivocally, without a doubt,
[27:22] Speaker 3: they're out there. After what I experienced and the research
[27:27] Speaker 3: I'd done, they're out there.
[27:30] Speaker 2: And I would rather you be prepared and be open.
[27:36] Speaker 5: Minded enough that if you're ever deep in the woods,
[27:38] Speaker 5: if you're hunting, doing whatever, and you here see that
[27:45] Speaker 5: there is a species out there that scientists have not identified,
[27:49] Speaker 5: and that's a whole other subject for another day.
[27:54] Speaker 3: I think that's purposely, purposely being done.
[27:59] Speaker 2: And and I'll leave that on the table.
[28:03] Speaker 3: Because we have to share this earth with them, and
[28:07] Speaker 3: we're going to need to know how to do it.
[28:10] Speaker 3: In order to do it, we need to study research habitat.
[28:18] Speaker 2: Different tribes.
[28:20] Speaker 3: You will be much better prepared if you educate yourself
[28:25] Speaker 3: for the event that you do have.
[28:28] Speaker 2: An experience with a.
[28:31] Speaker 3: Species that you have never identified before, have ever seen.
[28:37] Speaker 1: Fascinating conversation, Angela and I just want to say again,
[28:41] Speaker 1: thank you for coming on the show to share. And
[28:44] Speaker 1: I hope that bringing this up again does not bring
[28:49] Speaker 1: the dreams back, And thank you for putting yourself into
[28:56] Speaker 1: that potential situation in order to be able to help
[29:00] Speaker 1: other listeners.
[29:05] Speaker 3: I felt it was my duty too, Honestly, I felt that,
[29:10] Speaker 3: you know, somebody has to be brave, someone has to
[29:12] Speaker 3: be the hero, someone has to step up and go
[29:14] Speaker 3: this happened to me and put it out there, regardless
[29:18] Speaker 3: if there's believers or non believers. And I hope that
[29:22] Speaker 3: this conversation helps others to come forward and share their
[29:27] Speaker 3: story and to bring awareness and to maybe help with
[29:33] Speaker 3: research and awareness that we're not the only species out
[29:37] Speaker 3: in these woods that are known that we know today.
[29:40] Speaker 3: There's much more out there. And thank you for allowing
[29:44] Speaker 3: me to share my story with you. It means a
[29:47] Speaker 3: lot and I appreciate that very much.
[29:52] Speaker 1: Have you ever heard all the accounts of bigfoot activity
[29:55] Speaker 1: around Oakridge, Oregon and you think to yourself, man, I
[29:59] Speaker 1: would love to get out in those woods and experience
[30:02] Speaker 1: it for myself. Well, guess what this year you can.
[30:07] Speaker 1: If this is interesting to you, stay tuned, because it's
[30:10] Speaker 1: pretty cool Sasquatch Summer Fest is coming up July tenth
[30:15] Speaker 1: through the eleventh, twenty twenty six. It's going to be
[30:18] Speaker 1: even better than the previous year's reason number one, I'll
[30:23] Speaker 1: be one of the speakers. It's gonna be wild. I'll
[30:25] Speaker 1: probably I'll say this. There may be stuff you haven't
[30:31] Speaker 1: heard anywhere else, because let's just say sometimes it's well,
[30:37] Speaker 1: you just got to be there. We'll leave at that.
[30:39] Speaker 1: More about looking for Bigfoot in the Oakridge Woods. Now
[30:42] Speaker 1: check this out. You may know Jason Kenzie from his
[30:47] Speaker 1: documentary series Searching for Sasquatch. Well, this year you can
[30:52] Speaker 1: not only go to the festival, but you can also
[30:56] Speaker 1: sign up for a track deep in the wild forest
[31:03] Speaker 1: outside of Oakridge with Jason Kenzie to the Bigfoot spots
[31:08] Speaker 1: to look for Bigfoot. There's only eight spots to sign
[31:12] Speaker 1: up for this, and yes, this will also be filmed
[31:16] Speaker 1: for the next chapter in his documentary series, which is
[31:19] Speaker 1: Searching for Sasquatch. This is a once in a lifetime deal.
[31:22] Speaker 1: It's just trust it's going to be a wild, wild experience.
[31:27] Speaker 1: To get a ticket, head on over to Sasquatch Summerfest

[31:57] Speaker 1: to see you at the booth in Critic this year.
[32:01] Speaker 1: We can talk about your encounter. Was able to talk
[32:04] Speaker 1: to so many people last year and the year before.
[32:07] Speaker 1: It is an incredible time. You're not going to want
[32:10] Speaker 1: to miss it, and I'll see you there. Before we
[32:15] Speaker 1: wrap this episode, I want to say something directly to
[32:17] Speaker 1: a very specific group of listeners. If you're in the military,
[32:21] Speaker 1: any branch or forces, and if you've seen something that
[32:24] Speaker 1: no one can explain, or if you're a National Park
[32:27] Speaker 1: ranger or forestry worker who's been told to stay quiet,
[32:31] Speaker 1: or if you're a pilot who's seen something strange down
[32:34] Speaker 1: on the ground, or if you're with the FBI a

[32:45] Speaker 1: or search and rescue responder who's heard screams or found
[32:48] Speaker 1: tracks that didn't make sense. If you're in the logging industry,
[32:52] Speaker 1: on a remote oil field or a trucker with government
[32:55] Speaker 1: contracts and you've had something happen that you've never told
[32:59] Speaker 1: a soul. And if you're a biologist, a wildlife specialist,
[33:03] Speaker 1: or a field researcher under contract who has found evidence
[33:06] Speaker 1: you're not allowed to report. If you're a pastor, a missionary,
[33:10] Speaker 1: or someone on a spiritual retreat and you saw something
[33:13] Speaker 1: that shook your faith, or if you work in the
[33:16] Speaker 1: shadows CIA, NSA or anything with clearance and you've seen
[33:21] Speaker 1: what the public hasn't, then I want to talk to you,
