In this episode of Bigfoot Society, a listener named Stevie shares a chilling firsthand encounter from Rock Creek, Maryland, where unexplained Bigfoot-like whooping sounds echoed through dense woods late at night—so close that his former Marine stepfather stepped outside with a gun and later installed security cameras around the home. The sounds erupted near Rock Creek Park, just minutes from Washington DC, an area surrounded by neighborhoods, highways, and urban development. Multiple witnesses heard the same vocalizations, including neighbors and reacting dogs throughout the area. Stevie also recounts an earlier unexplained experience from Colorado’s Grand Mesa, where something silently removed food from a campsite cooler and carefully arranged cans on a picnic table—behavior that didn’t match known wildlife. 🗣️ Share Your Story Had a Bigfoot encounter or strange experience? [0:00] Speaker 1: You're listening to Big for Society, and I'm Jeremiah Byron.
[0:03] Speaker 1: In this show, we go beyond the campfire stories to
[0:05] Speaker 1: bring you first hand encounters from people who say they've
[0:08] Speaker 1: seen something impossible. From backwoods trails and remote mountain haulers
[0:12] Speaker 1: to quiet farms and crowded highways. The stories come from everywhere,
[0:16] Speaker 1: and each one leaves us with more questions than answers.
[0:20] Speaker 1: These are the voices of the people who've lived it.
[0:24] Speaker 1: To settle in, because today you'll hear another account that
[0:27] Speaker 1: just might change the way you see the woods forever.
[0:30] Speaker 1: So stay with us, all right, Big for Society. You've
[0:32] Speaker 1: got the privilege of talking to Stevie today. Stevie is
[0:35] Speaker 1: a listener of the show. He's heard a few episodes,
[0:39] Speaker 1: which I appreciate that, and so we were able to
[0:42] Speaker 1: get connected after he listened to a few and he's
[0:46] Speaker 1: got some interesting things to share out of Maryland in
[0:49] Speaker 1: Colorado today. So Stevie, welcome to the show. How are
[0:53] Speaker 1: you doing, sir, Oh, I'm doing fine, Thank you, Yes, sir, yes, sir. Well,
[0:59] Speaker 1: this is very interesting to me because I don't know
[1:02] Speaker 1: if you've heard it yet, but I mean, we were
[1:06] Speaker 1: close to this area a few episodes back for Seneca
[1:10] Speaker 1: Creek's Seneca Creek State Park. That's okay, yeah, yeah, And
[1:16] Speaker 1: so I'm just gonna let you share what happened. Feel
[1:19] Speaker 1: free to take us back when you had this experience
[1:22] Speaker 1: back in Maryland.
[1:23] Speaker 2: Okay, it was I think it was about spring. Yeah,
[1:27] Speaker 2: it was spring of twenty twenty three. And as I
[1:31] Speaker 2: said in the you know in my response, my stepdad's
[1:37] Speaker 2: backyard is basically Rock Creek Rock Creek State Park, So
[1:43] Speaker 2: it's like a creek, it's real dense woods. I've always had,
[1:47] Speaker 2: you know, the thought in the back of my head
[1:49] Speaker 2: like this would be like the perfect you know, if
[1:52] Speaker 2: I was to see one, I could I could, you know,
[1:54] Speaker 2: I could see one being back here.
[1:55] Speaker 3: It's just that it looks like that.
[1:58] Speaker 2: So one night, I remember it was a Sunday, a
[2:02] Speaker 2: Sunday night, I'm sitting back just you know, watching TV,
[2:06] Speaker 2: just kicking back, and I start hearing these whoops and
[2:10] Speaker 2: I'm like the first thought, I was like, no way,
[2:14] Speaker 2: So I kicked back, I turned the TV down, and
[2:20] Speaker 2: when I turned the TV down, that's when I heard
[2:22] Speaker 2: like the dogs in the neighborhood were just like kind
[2:25] Speaker 2: of going crazy. And I was like, nah, man, whatever,
[2:27] Speaker 2: you know, I'm sitting here, okay. So I turned the
[2:30] Speaker 2: TV back up, and then the whoops get louder, the
[2:35] Speaker 2: woops get louder. They got so loud that basically eventually
[2:41] Speaker 2: I closed my window and I closed my window and
[2:45] Speaker 2: finally just went to sleep, went to sleep, got up
[2:51] Speaker 2: the next day, actually went to work and everything, and
[2:54] Speaker 2: you know, I went downstairs or something and talked to
[2:57] Speaker 2: my stepdad and he, you know, he asked me and
[3:00] Speaker 2: he said, hey, hey, did you did you hear that
[3:03] Speaker 2: last night? And you know, I kind of was I
[3:06] Speaker 2: was like, nah, I didn't.
[3:07] Speaker 3: You know.
[3:07] Speaker 2: I just couldn't believe he had heard it too. So
[3:09] Speaker 2: I was like, wow, this this is crazy. So I
[3:11] Speaker 2: kind of wanted him to, you know, say a little
[3:12] Speaker 2: bit more. I was like, no, what are you talking about?
[3:15] Speaker 2: He was like, man, you didn't you didn't hear them
[3:17] Speaker 2: whooping sounds last night? I was like, I was like, yeah,
[3:21] Speaker 2: I heard him, but you know, I thought I knew
[3:23] Speaker 2: what it was, but you know, I've just closed my
[3:26] Speaker 2: window and went He was like, what was that? I
[3:29] Speaker 2: was like, you know, you're always making fun of me
[3:30] Speaker 2: for watching these podcasts, but I'm gonna let you hear
[3:33] Speaker 2: it first before you you know, before I say anything.
[3:36] Speaker 2: And I had a I can't remember exactly which one,
[3:39] Speaker 2: but I pulled up it was like a thirty second
[3:42] Speaker 2: clip on YouTube of some guy standing in a creek
[3:45] Speaker 2: in Maryland and it was the same exact sound. And
[3:49] Speaker 2: when I played that for him, he was like, that's
[3:51] Speaker 2: what that was. He was like, what is that. I
[3:54] Speaker 2: was like, bro, I was like, that's supposed to be
[3:56] Speaker 2: bigfoot man. And he just stopped and kind of looked
[4:00] Speaker 2: at me, and I was like, yeah, I know you're
[4:02] Speaker 2: always teasing me, man, but that's what.
[4:04] Speaker 3: That's what. And he he told me, he was like, man,
[4:07] Speaker 3: that sound got so close to the house that last night.
[4:12] Speaker 2: I actually stepped out there with my gun, and you know,
[4:15] Speaker 2: my stepdad's like, you know, ex marine, you know, tough gay.
[4:19] Speaker 3: Like he he doesn't get robbed up real easy.
[4:21] Speaker 2: So to you know, to hear that from him, Like,
[4:24] Speaker 2: he went outside with the gun and a week later
[4:27] Speaker 2: he had cameras installed on every corner of the house.
[4:32] Speaker 3: And it was just I was just like, Wow, that's
[4:35] Speaker 3: that's crazy. So I don't know, you know, I don't know.
[4:38] Speaker 2: He didn't say too much after I said what it was,
[4:41] Speaker 2: and you know, he told me he went out there,
[4:43] Speaker 2: but the way he put those cameras up, it makes
[4:45] Speaker 2: me kind of think he might have seen something or
[4:48] Speaker 2: I don't know.
[4:49] Speaker 3: But but yeah, that's that's about it for that one.
[4:52] Speaker 1: Okay, So that is extremely interesting if you can find
[4:56] Speaker 1: that Maryland video again, because I can't picture that in
[4:59] Speaker 1: my mind. I would love to see that, if you
[5:02] Speaker 1: can show the.
[5:02] Speaker 2: Video the okay, yeah, no, I'll definitely when you know,
[5:07] Speaker 2: I'll get off a matter of fact, let me write
[5:08] Speaker 2: a note. Okay, I'll track that down and email it
[5:11] Speaker 2: to you so you can you can.
[5:13] Speaker 3: See what exactly because it's a real short clip.
[5:16] Speaker 2: It's like I say, it's under it's under thirty seconds.
[5:19] Speaker 3: I mean you might be able to look it up yourself.
[5:22] Speaker 2: It's bigfoot whoops and it's a little well, I'll find
[5:26] Speaker 2: it and I'll try and send a tea.
[5:28] Speaker 1: All right, I appreciate that. Hey, this is editor Jeremiah
[5:31] Speaker 1: here real quick. Based on a second conversation with Stevie.
[5:35] Speaker 1: This video he's referring to is actually the clip that
[5:38] Speaker 1: Charlie Raymond captured with the KBrO. And I'll put a
[5:42] Speaker 1: link to that in these show notes for this episode. So,
[5:46] Speaker 1: as we were kind of talking before, this is really
[5:52] Speaker 1: cool because so I just talked to an anthropologist about
[5:58] Speaker 1: his encounter in Maryland, which I believe was around Seneca
[6:01] Speaker 1: Creek State Park, and this is.
[6:03] Speaker 2: Very Rock Creek Park, Like I think it kind of
[6:07] Speaker 2: it connects with that somehow because after I lived there,
[6:12] Speaker 2: I actually moved to Gaithersburg, which is about ten fifteen
[6:18] Speaker 2: miles away from the Asthma Hill area, and where I
[6:21] Speaker 2: was living, Seneca Creek State Park is like five miles away.
[6:26] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[6:27] Speaker 1: Absolutely, I mean, is it is close? You know, I'm
[6:30] Speaker 1: looking at it on a map, and I mean, it's
[6:33] Speaker 1: not the question. You have two seventy between the two.
[6:35] Speaker 1: But I mean, hey, yep, weirder stuff happened in Omaha,
[6:39] Speaker 1: so yeah, yep. Yeah, Oh my goodness, this is wild.
[6:43] Speaker 1: So did stuff settle down after he put the cameras in.
[6:48] Speaker 2: I've never heard it again after it was just that
[6:52] Speaker 2: one evening and in for the night. That was the
[6:55] Speaker 2: only time I heard it like ever. And it was
[6:59] Speaker 2: funny because I had just moved in with him. I
[7:01] Speaker 2: had just moved in with him, and I had a
[7:05] Speaker 2: tent set up in the backyard because I was like, oh, yeah,
[7:07] Speaker 2: I'm gonna you know, I'm gonna go kick it back
[7:09] Speaker 2: because it's real woodsy back there, and I'm kind of
[7:11] Speaker 2: outdoors guy.
[7:12] Speaker 3: And I had a tent set up back there because I.
[7:15] Speaker 2: Was gonna go start, you know, hanging out in the tent,
[7:18] Speaker 2: camping out or whatever. I never after I heard those hoops,
[7:22] Speaker 2: I never went back there and camped out.
[7:26] Speaker 3: Don't.
[7:27] Speaker 1: I don't blame you at all. I mean, and the
[7:29] Speaker 1: wild thing about this is, as we said in the
[7:31] Speaker 1: other episode with the anthropologist Kenny, is that this area
[7:36] Speaker 1: is like within an hour's drive of Washington, d c.
[7:40] Speaker 3: Oh. Yeah, it's it's it's.
[7:43] Speaker 2: It's real crazy, you know, being from Texas and having
[7:46] Speaker 2: lived in Colorado and when people ask me about the city,
[7:49] Speaker 2: I'm I'm always explaining that the wildlife is right there.
[7:53] Speaker 2: I was like, are you deer hunters? Oh, you could
[7:56] Speaker 2: sit in my backyard and pick off books all day.
[7:59] Speaker 2: It's like that, there's wildlife everywhere. I've had raccoons come
[8:03] Speaker 2: up to me and.
[8:04] Speaker 3: Eat out of my hand. In the backyard, we see foxes.
[8:08] Speaker 3: Foxes like at late.
[8:09] Speaker 2: At night, two or three in the morning, they'll just
[8:11] Speaker 2: trot down the sidewalk. You know, usually you see foxes,
[8:14] Speaker 2: they run from you at two or three. The more
[8:16] Speaker 2: they just walk down the sidewalk like they own the place.
[8:19] Speaker 2: It's the wildlife is right there. It's it's really interesting.
[8:23] Speaker 1: Now, after this happened, did you share this account with
[8:28] Speaker 1: anyone else in the area and get any responses like, oh, yeah,
[8:31] Speaker 1: there's stuff going on around here or anything like that.
[8:35] Speaker 2: I actually I actually hit my neighbor up because she
[8:39] Speaker 2: actually heard it too. But when I told her what
[8:43] Speaker 2: it was, so she like she you know, of course,
[8:45] Speaker 2: you know, you know the response you get she thought
[8:48] Speaker 2: I was nuts. Yeah, but she did hear it. She
[8:51] Speaker 2: heard it, and she heard all the dogs and stuff
[8:53] Speaker 2: going crazy. But when I told her, I tried to explain,
[8:55] Speaker 2: she was like, she wasn't.
[8:56] Speaker 3: Trying to hear it.
[8:58] Speaker 1: Okay, did she have an eye idea of what it
[9:01] Speaker 1: probably was?
[9:01] Speaker 3: Then?
[9:03] Speaker 2: She didn't know what it was either. She just she
[9:05] Speaker 2: just said that she had heard it. And you know,
[9:08] Speaker 2: she has a dog too, you know what I'm saying. So,
[9:10] Speaker 2: like I said, the dogs in the neighborhood were you know,
[9:13] Speaker 2: for a minute there, they were kind of going crazy.
[9:15] Speaker 3: You could hear barking.
[9:16] Speaker 2: Holland's like, Yo, this is this is some crap like
[9:19] Speaker 2: out of you know, you hear the podcast and you
[9:21] Speaker 2: hear people saying and stuff, but like I'm sitting here
[9:24] Speaker 2: watching TV and it's happening like right there.
[9:28] Speaker 1: Absolutely is there anything else weird that would happen around
[9:32] Speaker 1: the house. Like sometimes you'd go outside and you'd be like, hey,
[9:37] Speaker 1: there's something weird down there or where did that come from?
[9:40] Speaker 1: And that's not any of our objects.
[9:44] Speaker 3: Uh no, not really.
[9:46] Speaker 2: So I practice archery, so I'll shoot my bows in
[9:50] Speaker 2: the backyard. The only weird thing that I can say,
[9:54] Speaker 2: and it's not weird because I know nature, but deer
[9:59] Speaker 2: deer would congregate like right, like okay, the direction that
[10:05] Speaker 2: I thought that I.
[10:06] Speaker 3: Heard the whoops coming from.
[10:09] Speaker 2: I went back there a few times, and the deer
[10:11] Speaker 2: were real bunched up in that area. But I think
[10:15] Speaker 2: later on I saw a couple of fawns, so I
[10:18] Speaker 2: think that was just their you know, the bedding area.
[10:20] Speaker 2: And I'm my common sense is telling me if they
[10:22] Speaker 2: thought a sasquatch around, they probably wouldn't have made you
[10:25] Speaker 2: know what I'm saying, So I don't think, you know,
[10:29] Speaker 2: but Yeah, nothing, nothing ever came up.
[10:32] Speaker 3: And they've had that house for thirty years.
[10:35] Speaker 2: Man, there's I've never had anything like that happen.
[10:40] Speaker 3: It was the strangest thing. You know.
[10:41] Speaker 2: They've had that house since ninety five or ninety six.
[10:48] Speaker 2: And I played in that backyards as a teenager, twenties,
[10:54] Speaker 2: you know, and I've never heard, ever heard anything like
[10:58] Speaker 2: that ever.
[11:00] Speaker 3: That was the first time. It was real, just real strange,
[11:03] Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying.
[11:04] Speaker 2: Yeah, I've never I've you know, I played in that
[11:08] Speaker 2: creek and I'm one, like I said, I'm outdoorsy. So
[11:10] Speaker 2: I'm one of those guys always looking at the ground,
[11:13] Speaker 2: looking at you know what I'm saying, just looking at
[11:15] Speaker 2: for you know, looking for signs of stuff that might
[11:18] Speaker 2: have passed through, you know, and I've never seen, never
[11:23] Speaker 2: seen anything that would make me think, you know what
[11:26] Speaker 2: I'm saying, because like you know, I'm like the rest
[11:29] Speaker 2: of the people that listened to the podcast.
[11:31] Speaker 3: You know, when I was a kid and got the big.
[11:33] Speaker 2: Foot, I thought all the Bigfoot were in the Pacific Northwest.
[11:36] Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
[11:37] Speaker 2: I didn't even I had you know, I've seen the
[11:39] Speaker 2: legend of Boggy Creek as a kid.
[11:41] Speaker 3: But you know, I pretty much thought that that was.
[11:44] Speaker 4: A bigfoot in Maryland.
[11:47] Speaker 3: What Yeah, I believe it.
[11:51] Speaker 1: How long have you been feeding raccoons out of your hands?
[11:56] Speaker 2: That happened one time and it was in a friend's backyard.
[12:01] Speaker 2: We were sitting there having a barbecue, while sitting back
[12:03] Speaker 2: there drinking, and a raccoon just came up and it's
[12:06] Speaker 2: like started eating some of my barbecue.
[12:09] Speaker 3: Like just it was real random. Man. I had some
[12:13] Speaker 3: pictures of it, but I lost them.
[12:15] Speaker 1: But yeah, okay, okay, so yeah, it may not be related.
[12:21] Speaker 3: It may be.
[12:22] Speaker 1: So this was like a neighbor kind of close to
[12:25] Speaker 1: your parents' house.
[12:27] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, but there, but their backyard isn't like my backyard.
[12:32] Speaker 2: Like my backyard, there's no fence and it just opens
[12:35] Speaker 2: up and there's a creep back there. It's like, you know,
[12:37] Speaker 2: it's like literally if I want, if you know, if
[12:40] Speaker 2: I wanted to, I could make a deck and I
[12:41] Speaker 2: could probably just post up and hunt.
[12:43] Speaker 3: That's how it is. It's like a game preserve right out.
[12:45] Speaker 2: Back his backyard, which is is kind of That's why
[12:49] Speaker 2: it is kind of crazy. His backyard is the the
[12:53] Speaker 2: backyard where it backs up to another house. You know
[12:56] Speaker 2: what I'm saying. There's like a fence and then there's
[12:57] Speaker 2: a house on the other side. That's where the rack
[13:00] Speaker 2: coon came up.
[13:01] Speaker 1: Okay, gotcha? So extremely interesting yet another area. And I
[13:10] Speaker 1: would say that if you look at a map, it's
[13:13] Speaker 1: like the urban it's trying to take over the woods.
[13:19] Speaker 1: Just it's very similar. You've got like Seneca Creek State
[13:22] Speaker 1: Park is surrounded by you know, development, and kind of
[13:26] Speaker 1: seems like this other place might be similar. But yeah,
[13:31] Speaker 1: so after you had this experience, how did how did
[13:35] Speaker 1: that affect your life? Did it affect it in any ways?
[13:40] Speaker 3: No? No, not at all. Like I said, I told actually,
[13:47] Speaker 3: you know what I did.
[13:48] Speaker 2: I told my sister and my mom and my niece
[13:50] Speaker 2: later on because they've they've visited shortly after it happened,
[13:54] Speaker 2: and I told them about it. And I think I
[13:58] Speaker 2: remember my sister actually asking my dad. But I think
[14:02] Speaker 2: the only thing that kind of is like they used
[14:05] Speaker 2: to kind of laugh when I would watch the big
[14:07] Speaker 2: Foot podcast and stuff, you know what I'm saying, And
[14:09] Speaker 2: now I don't get all the jokes and the laughter
[14:12] Speaker 2: and stuff no more, you know what I mean. I'm
[14:14] Speaker 2: not gonna say, they take me seriously, believe me. But
[14:17] Speaker 2: I think my stepdad kind of gave me a little
[14:19] Speaker 2: bit of you know what I'm saying, like, hey, it
[14:21] Speaker 2: might be something.
[14:22] Speaker 3: You know, there might be something to that. You know
[14:25] Speaker 3: what I'm saying.
[14:25] Speaker 1: Oh absolutely, I mean if your stepdad, I mean just
[14:29] Speaker 1: that your stepdad heard it as well and was like, hey,
[14:33] Speaker 1: did you hear that last thing? That's huge. So it's
[14:35] Speaker 1: not just you know, your word, it's also your stepdad's
[14:39] Speaker 1: word too, which is really really important.
[14:41] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Now that's what tripped me out because
[14:44] Speaker 2: I wasn't me. I wasn't gonna say anything because you
[14:47] Speaker 2: know what I mean, I don't want to you know,
[14:48] Speaker 2: you know how people are. It's like, I'm not gonna
[14:51] Speaker 2: even say, you know. But when he said something, I
[14:53] Speaker 2: was like, wow, okay, I'm not crazy. I'm not crazy.
[14:57] Speaker 2: He heard the exact same thing, and when I played
[15:00] Speaker 2: the little thing on YouTube, he was like.
[15:02] Speaker 3: Like, I say, he's a marine, so he's gonna tell
[15:04] Speaker 3: it like it is.
[15:05] Speaker 2: When he heard the little excerpt on YouTube, he said
[15:08] Speaker 2: without it that that's what I heard last night.
[15:10] Speaker 3: That's what that was. What is that funny? Yeah, that's
[15:15] Speaker 3: that's what you heard, man, Wow.
[15:17] Speaker 1: And listeners this area it's always interesting, you know. It
[15:22] Speaker 1: was interesting when I heard Kenny the anthropologists say it
[15:27] Speaker 1: about the area. But then to hear you give another example.
[15:32] Speaker 1: I would be really interested if listeners have heard of
[15:35] Speaker 1: or had experiences in the same area of Maryland too.
[15:38] Speaker 1: If you could put that in the comments or send
[15:41] Speaker 1: me an email big for Society gmail dot com, I
[15:43] Speaker 1: would love it. But Stevie, you're saying that this is
[15:47] Speaker 1: not the only Bigfoot related experience that you've had.
[15:51] Speaker 2: No, I had an early, earlier experience. Like I said,
[15:57] Speaker 2: both of the I want people. I want to be
[15:58] Speaker 2: clear with people. I didn't see anything. This is just
[16:01] Speaker 2: stuff that has happened. I didn't see anything. But you know,
[16:05] Speaker 2: but another another incident happened in Colorado when I.
[16:10] Speaker 3: Was about nineteen. This was summer of ninety eight.
[16:16] Speaker 2: A good a good friend of mine had decided to
[16:18] Speaker 2: drive up from Texas living in Colorado. He had decided
[16:22] Speaker 2: to drive up from Texas and visit me and me,
[16:25] Speaker 2: him and another friend. We all decided to go camping
[16:28] Speaker 2: that weekend on the Grand Mason, which is I was
[16:31] Speaker 2: living in Grand Junctions, so the Grand Masa is like
[16:34] Speaker 2: an hour away.
[16:34] Speaker 3: We go up there and camp sometimes or whatever.
[16:37] Speaker 2: So anyways, we get up to the Grand Mason and
[16:46] Speaker 2: I'm not you know, we were nineteen years old. We
[16:49] Speaker 2: had a twelve pack of butt ice, so we were
[16:51] Speaker 2: drinking a little bit, you know what I'm saying, being
[16:53] Speaker 2: kids or whatever.
[16:55] Speaker 3: We get up there and we get the tent set up,
[16:58] Speaker 3: and we get up there late.
[17:00] Speaker 2: So I don't know if anybody knows the mountains and stuff,
[17:03] Speaker 2: it gets dark like real real quick.
[17:05] Speaker 3: So we got up there real late.
[17:07] Speaker 2: You know, we're struggling to find some wood, you know,
[17:09] Speaker 2: get the tent set up. We get the tent set up,
[17:12] Speaker 2: have a couple of beers and stuff.
[17:13] Speaker 3: And you know, we go to the we go to
[17:15] Speaker 3: sleep in the tent and me, I'm not thinking.
[17:18] Speaker 2: We got one of those old Coleman three person tents
[17:22] Speaker 2: and I know better. You know, looking back on it
[17:25] Speaker 2: is probably one of the dumbest things I ever did
[17:26] Speaker 2: in my life. But I left the cooler basically right
[17:30] Speaker 2: outside the tent flat. So like you go outside the tent,
[17:34] Speaker 2: look to the left, and the cooler was sent right there.
[17:38] Speaker 2: I also happened that also happened to be my sleeping
[17:41] Speaker 2: spot for that night.
[17:42] Speaker 3: So I slept on that side of the tent as well.
[17:46] Speaker 2: So about like I said, we get back in the tent,
[17:50] Speaker 2: say about two o'clock in the morning, I wake up
[17:53] Speaker 2: and I wake up and something is going through the cooler.
[17:57] Speaker 2: And what it was, it was real crazy because I
[17:59] Speaker 2: can remember this to this day.
[18:01] Speaker 3: What my first thought. It was one of those old
[18:04] Speaker 3: coolers where you had to flip the lid up.
[18:07] Speaker 2: And my first thought was like, dude, God, somebody's got
[18:11] Speaker 2: some shit. Who's going through the cooler. Whoever's going through
[18:14] Speaker 2: this cooler has some big hands. That was my first
[18:17] Speaker 2: thought when I woke up, was like, who's doing that?
[18:20] Speaker 3: Because it sounded like a shovel. It didn't sound like.
[18:23] Speaker 2: Somebody was just kind of it sounded like a shovel
[18:26] Speaker 2: was going through the ice.
[18:29] Speaker 3: But I looked over and my two buddies were sleep
[18:33] Speaker 3: and you know, like I.
[18:34] Speaker 4: Said, I was like, it was late, I'm groggy. I'm
[18:36] Speaker 4: like maybe I'm just I'm tripping. And the sound stopped.
[18:42] Speaker 4: And so when the sound stopped, laid back now those dolls.
[18:48] Speaker 2: About an hour later, I'll say, my my friend is
[18:51] Speaker 2: nudging me. He's sitting up and he's nudging me and
[18:55] Speaker 2: I sit up and he's like, man, you know you
[19:00] Speaker 2: hear that. He's like, I told him I was. You know,
[19:02] Speaker 2: we're whispering. I thought that was you earlier. You know
[19:04] Speaker 2: I heard somebody. He was like, man, man, I've.
[19:05] Speaker 3: Been here, and I'm like, yo, what is going on?
[19:09] Speaker 3: And again we started talking and the noise stopped. So
[19:16] Speaker 3: we go back to sleep. Nothing else happened for the night.
[19:18] Speaker 3: We go back to sleep like whatever. Okay.
[19:21] Speaker 2: So the very next morning we come outside the tent
[19:26] Speaker 2: and the items that we had in the cooler, we
[19:30] Speaker 2: had some We had canned food. We had a couple
[19:33] Speaker 2: of cans of spam, a couple of the cans of beans.
[19:37] Speaker 3: The food, I kid you not the food.
[19:40] Speaker 2: The canned food was sitting there was a picnic table
[19:43] Speaker 2: right there. The canned food was all sitting on the table.
[19:48] Speaker 2: There was five cans. The can food was all sitting
[19:51] Speaker 2: on the table. All the cans upright. They weren't tossed
[19:55] Speaker 2: on the side like they were all sitting.
[19:58] Speaker 3: There on the table standing up. And they had bite marks.
[20:02] Speaker 2: The spam can had BikeE marks in it, like something
[20:06] Speaker 2: with a mouth tried to bite the.
[20:07] Speaker 3: Can, but couldn't get through it.
[20:11] Speaker 2: And you know, my buddy, I'm from Texas at that time,
[20:17] Speaker 2: I've been in Colorado for like a year. My one friend,
[20:20] Speaker 2: he had been there his whole life. After he was like, man,
[20:22] Speaker 2: that's a bear. Man, it was a bear. And I'm
[20:24] Speaker 2: just like with a bear when he set the cans
[20:28] Speaker 2: up like that, man, like it was you know what
[20:30] Speaker 2: I'm saying.
[20:31] Speaker 3: Just and honestly, that's the end of that story.
[20:34] Speaker 2: But to this day I always thought, like, man, that
[20:36] Speaker 2: wasn't I don't think that was.
[20:38] Speaker 3: A bear, you know what I mean?
[20:39] Speaker 2: Just like the way it stopped when it hurt me
[20:42] Speaker 2: the first time, and then it stopped again when it
[20:47] Speaker 2: hurt us the second time, whispering, you know what I mean,
[20:49] Speaker 2: and then the cans set up on the table all
[20:52] Speaker 2: in the row like that. I'm like, I just like
[20:55] Speaker 2: I said, I didn't see anything, man, but I don't
[20:57] Speaker 2: think that was a bear.
[20:59] Speaker 1: Yeah, that's That's one of those details that just really
[21:02] Speaker 1: makes you wonder. And then when you start digging into areas,
[21:05] Speaker 1: I mean, for example, this this let's say Grand Junction,
[21:10] Speaker 1: which I believe I think that's in the same county,
[21:13] Speaker 1: Mesa County, there's actually as Yeah, yeah, there's a BFROL
[21:17] Speaker 1: report from ninety nine about a kid at a Bible
[21:21] Speaker 1: camp that had a sighting of something that was eight
[21:24] Speaker 1: and a half feet tall. And so I don't know
[21:27] Speaker 1: exactly how close these areas are, but same county and
[21:32] Speaker 1: just a year ago.
[21:33] Speaker 2: Wow wow yeah, And like I said, that was ninety eight.
[21:39] Speaker 2: This was for all the podcasts. But you know, as
[21:42] Speaker 2: a kid, I had read all the big Foot books
[21:44] Speaker 2: and stuff, but I didn't know that was an area.
[21:46] Speaker 2: But I have another friend who actually lives like on
[21:51] Speaker 2: the mix, she like lives up there, and she tells
[21:54] Speaker 2: me apparently like did people see those things all the time,
[21:58] Speaker 2: Like it's it's not.
[21:59] Speaker 3: Like it's not uncommon.
[22:01] Speaker 2: She said, it's like like maybe seeing it, like they
[22:03] Speaker 2: don't fool with nobody.
[22:04] Speaker 3: But she says, without a doubt they're up there.
[22:07] Speaker 1: Oh absolutely. And now, even thinking a little bit more,
[22:11] Speaker 1: I've actually talked to I want to say, two witnesses
[22:15] Speaker 1: that have had experiences around the Grand Mesa over the years.
[22:18] Speaker 1: This is a few years ago, so you'd have to
[22:21] Speaker 1: look through like the YouTube playlist for Colorado and you
[22:24] Speaker 1: could probably find it. It'd be a few years back though,
[22:27] Speaker 1: but yeah. I mean, there's definitely stuff going on in
[22:30] Speaker 1: this area.
[22:33] Speaker 3: My goodness.
[22:34] Speaker 1: So that was ninety eight and then twenty twenty three.
[22:39] Speaker 1: That's cool, that is cool.
[22:42] Speaker 3: I'd like to actually see one one day.
[22:44] Speaker 1: I don't know, do you have it sounds like you've
[22:51] Speaker 1: done a lot of reading and researching and things like that,
[22:56] Speaker 1: and do you have any leaning either way towards what
[23:02] Speaker 1: you think it is that we're dealing with when we
[23:04] Speaker 1: talk about Bigfoot?
[23:08] Speaker 2: Oh lord, I used to have my cousins rolling about
[23:10] Speaker 2: this in Colorado.
[23:13] Speaker 3: But I don't know.
[23:15] Speaker 2: I think it's some kind of me personally. I think
[23:18] Speaker 2: it's some kind of inter dimensional being because I see
[23:22] Speaker 2: a lot of the I watched a lot of the
[23:26] Speaker 2: podcasts where the military guys are talking about.
[23:29] Speaker 3: These things, and.
[23:31] Speaker 2: I just I think there's a lot that they're leaving
[23:33] Speaker 2: out and they're not telling us, you know what I'm saying.
[23:36] Speaker 3: And that's honestly what I think. Is like the whole
[23:39] Speaker 3: National Parks thing.
[23:41] Speaker 2: They see these things in all the national parks. People
[23:44] Speaker 2: are getting snatched up in national parks. There's way more
[23:48] Speaker 2: to it, but they're just not telling us everything.
[23:51] Speaker 1: Have you seen David Tlighti's new documentary American sasquatch Man
[23:56] Speaker 1: meth or Monster that just came out.
[23:59] Speaker 3: I just started that. I haven't finished it. Oh, I
[24:02] Speaker 3: haven't finished it. It's so good.
[24:04] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's so good.
[24:05] Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, okay, Yeah.
[24:07] Speaker 1: You'll love it, especially if you're like thinking about interdimensional
[24:11] Speaker 1: stuff and portals and stuff like It's it ramps up
[24:15] Speaker 1: really good and you will love yeah.
[24:18] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[24:19] Speaker 1: And that's just that's me saying just because I like it.
[24:22] Speaker 1: I'm not you know, I've never talked to Dave before,
[24:27] Speaker 1: but uh, it was really well done documentary. A lot
[24:30] Speaker 1: of stuff in there that you can't see anywhere else too,
[24:35] Speaker 1: some really cool stuff. But yeah, the whole interdimensional thing
[24:39] Speaker 1: is really interesting because there are some compelling accounts out there.
[24:45] Speaker 1: One of them is actually talked about in David's documentary.
[24:50] Speaker 1: It's a skinwalker ranch. How they saw what pretty much
[24:55] Speaker 1: looked like a portal open up on the ranch and
[24:57] Speaker 1: then something crawl out of it that much looked like
[25:00] Speaker 1: a bigfoot. That's that's a wild account. So that's in
[25:04] Speaker 1: in the dock and then I don't know, man, there's
[25:08] Speaker 1: some there's some weird stories out there. There's one out
[25:11] Speaker 1: in Oak Ridge, Oregon. A guy was on top of
[25:14] Speaker 1: a mountain called Saddle Blanket Mountain, and so he's he's
[25:18] Speaker 1: hiking along way way away from town, and all of
[25:21] Speaker 1: a sudden things start feeling weird. The scenery changes and
[25:26] Speaker 1: it's like he passed through something kind of electrical like.
[25:29] Speaker 1: And then the weird thing is is that this arm
[25:32] Speaker 1: comes out of nowhere, it's got long claws on it,
[25:36] Speaker 1: and just barely misses getting his neck from behind, and
[25:41] Speaker 1: he hears something. Here's a voice say got like got
[25:46] Speaker 1: you or missed you or something like that. But it's
[25:47] Speaker 1: an incredible account.
[25:50] Speaker 3: Wow.
[25:51] Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that's some wild, wild stuff. So there are
[25:53] Speaker 1: stories if you dig deep enough. And then there's people
[25:56] Speaker 1: that are just want to be off record and you know,
[25:59] Speaker 1: but they're other stories but just can't really mention them.
[26:02] Speaker 1: But my goodness, So, have you had anything else the
[26:06] Speaker 1: ordinary happened or these the weirdest things that have happened
[26:09] Speaker 1: in your life?
[26:10] Speaker 3: Would you say? Yeah?
[26:12] Speaker 2: As far as stuff like that, yeah, you know, I've
[26:14] Speaker 2: been I've lived all over, so I mean I've you know,
[26:17] Speaker 2: I've had some a lot of different experiences. But yeah,
[26:20] Speaker 2: just as far as you know, just real strange stuff.
[26:23] Speaker 2: I would have to say, yeah, you know that.
[26:26] Speaker 3: Those are really strange. It was just like I say,
[26:29] Speaker 3: it's just.
[26:32] Speaker 2: Uh, it was just both of those experiences were just weird,
[26:37] Speaker 2: just out of like I say, because I'm not you know,
[26:40] Speaker 2: stuff just happens.
[26:41] Speaker 1: I don't.
[26:42] Speaker 2: I'm not one of those, you know, I don't go
[26:43] Speaker 2: out of my way to like I say, with the
[26:46] Speaker 2: with the whoops, I wanted to go back there and
[26:48] Speaker 2: camp out until I you know, until I heard them,
[26:51] Speaker 2: you know, and it just I heard that stuff and
[26:54] Speaker 2: was like, yo, that's you know, it was just weird, like.
[26:58] Speaker 3: Like the area is, the area is very.
[27:03] Speaker 2: Squatchy, but like you say, you can look at a
[27:06] Speaker 2: map and see how you know, like I from from Okay,
[27:09] Speaker 2: from where that location is where I heard the whoops,
[27:12] Speaker 2: I can be in DC and about if traffic is cool,
[27:17] Speaker 2: I can be in DC in ten minutes.
[27:19] Speaker 3: That's how close it is.
[27:20] Speaker 1: That wild dude.
[27:22] Speaker 2: Wow, yep, if traffic is cool, I can get on
[27:25] Speaker 2: Georgia Avenue and go straight down and be in DC
[27:29] Speaker 2: in about ten minutes. That's how That's how close it
[27:32] Speaker 2: really is. I mean, there are there's stuff everywhere, big
[27:36] Speaker 2: ol' high rise condominiums all that and then you'll have
[27:40] Speaker 2: like a two or three acre pocket woods, you know
[27:44] Speaker 2: what I'm saying, And then yeah, it's it's it's wild
[27:48] Speaker 2: like one of the As matter of fact, the biggest
[27:51] Speaker 2: buck that I've ever seen with my own eyes in
[27:56] Speaker 2: person was in Colorado, or not Colorado, was in Maryland.
[28:00] Speaker 2: There was a bridge down the street from my stepfather's
[28:04] Speaker 2: house and I was walking down there. I was walking
[28:06] Speaker 2: down the bridge and as I happened to get across
[28:09] Speaker 2: the bridge to where it was, you know, it was
[28:13] Speaker 2: land again, I happened to look over to the right
[28:16] Speaker 2: and there was a buck looking at me. And I
[28:17] Speaker 2: swear that buck's head was about it had to be.
[28:22] Speaker 2: Like I said, in person, it's the biggest buck I've
[28:24] Speaker 2: ever seen. It was probably like a twelve to fifteen
[28:27] Speaker 2: I mean it was huge. It was so big, like
[28:30] Speaker 2: it scared me because I was like, man, if this
[28:32] Speaker 2: thing comes after me, I'm toast. But it just looked
[28:35] Speaker 2: at me. It looked at me and just went on
[28:37] Speaker 2: its business, you know. And like I said, the area
[28:40] Speaker 2: is just weird. It's real weird.
[28:42] Speaker 3: For that. You just see a.
[28:43] Speaker 2: Lot of see a lot of wildlife, and you wouldn't
[28:46] Speaker 2: think it wouldn't being right by the White House, you
[28:48] Speaker 2: know what I'm saying.
[28:49] Speaker 3: So it's just.
[28:50] Speaker 1: Yeah, it makes you wonder. I mean, just this stuff
[28:53] Speaker 1: happening so close. You know, there's got to have been
[28:57] Speaker 1: at least one conversation in there where it's like, guy,
[29:00] Speaker 1: we got big Foot like lessons half an hour away.
[29:03] Speaker 1: Should we look?
[29:04] Speaker 3: You know? Yeah?
[29:06] Speaker 2: Yeah, they know like I say, they know they know
[29:10] Speaker 2: this stuff. I mean, you see the you you see
[29:13] Speaker 2: and watch the same stuff I do. You know how
[29:15] Speaker 2: many times they people will see one of these things
[29:18] Speaker 2: and then next thing you know, they got five guys
[29:20] Speaker 2: at the door telling them, hey man, you didn't see.
[29:22] Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying. People, you know that stuff happens.
[29:27] Speaker 3: People think that this you know, that's.
[29:29] Speaker 2: TV and all that's that stuff really goes down like that.
[29:33] Speaker 2: That's got to make you think, too, how many how
[29:35] Speaker 2: many people more people are out there who really have
[29:39] Speaker 2: seen some stuff and that could really answer our questions.
[29:42] Speaker 2: But they're afraid that, you know, the FBI is gonna
[29:45] Speaker 2: come back and you know, uh, make an accident happen,
[29:49] Speaker 2: you know what I mean. So it makes you, you know,
[29:53] Speaker 2: it makes you see all the military guys after a while,
[29:56] Speaker 2: who will come out and yeah, man, yeah we definitely
[29:59] Speaker 2: saw something, so yeah we.
[30:04] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[30:04] Speaker 2: I wish they would. It would be cool for them,
[30:06] Speaker 2: it would. Honestly, I think it's kind of crappy because
[30:10] Speaker 2: you got you got a lot of people going out
[30:12] Speaker 2: to these national parks going camping, having a good time
[30:17] Speaker 2: and all this. Even though I get it because I've heard,
[30:21] Speaker 2: you know, people say, well if they tell everyone nobody camping,
[30:24] Speaker 2: no more. But man, I'd like to know if there's
[30:28] Speaker 2: like ten foot promtes, ten foot twelve hundred pound promates
[30:32] Speaker 2: running around if I'm out here camping.
[30:34] Speaker 3: At least tell me, you know what I'm saying. At
[30:37] Speaker 3: least let me know.
[30:38] Speaker 2: Don't let me just become a statistic because you don't want.
[30:40] Speaker 3: To tell nobody what's out there. That's what I think
[30:42] Speaker 3: is kind of crappy. I love that.
[30:44] Speaker 1: Yeah, that that is so so true, so true. My gonness, Stevie,
[30:48] Speaker 1: this is this has been such a good conversation. I mean,
[30:52] Speaker 1: you unlocked a new area for me to be aware
[30:55] Speaker 1: of and to put on the map. Thank you for that, absolutely,
[30:59] Speaker 1: and uh man, keep us in the loop if any
[31:02] Speaker 1: if you hear anything else out there you experience anything
[31:05] Speaker 1: in the future, please reach out.
[31:07] Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm in. I'm in Texas now. I mean I'm
[31:10] Speaker 3: in Texas.
[31:10] Speaker 2: A little small town and there's a lake about four
[31:14] Speaker 2: miles from me, and once once I get settled in,
[31:16] Speaker 2: I'm gonna be doing a lot of fishing and stuff.
[31:17] Speaker 3: So maybe I'll have, you know, maybe I'll have some
[31:20] Speaker 3: more stories to tell you.
[31:22] Speaker 1: Well, man, if it's East Texas, you better be ready
[31:24] Speaker 1: because that's where.
[31:25] Speaker 3: Oh yeah, oh man, yep, be ready, yep. I'm in. Yeah, okay,
[31:30] Speaker 3: all right, all.
[31:31] Speaker 1: Right, sounds give it. Well, thank you so much for
[31:33] Speaker 1: hanging out today, Stevie.
[31:35] Speaker 3: Yeah, no problem. You take it easy, all right, all right.
[31:38] Speaker 1: Uh, to put it lately, I kind of messed up
[31:41] Speaker 1: on this one, and a lot of locals to this
[31:44] Speaker 1: area have been yelling at me the entire episode and
[31:47] Speaker 1: being like, dude, you don't get it. And I just
[31:50] Speaker 1: got it because as I'm editing this, I'm looking at
[31:53] Speaker 1: a map. There's two Rock Creek Parks in Maryland. There's
[31:59] Speaker 1: the one by Gaithersburg, and then there's the one inside
[32:03] Speaker 1: the District of Columbia, which also connects to the National
[32:10] Speaker 1: Zoo from the Smithsonian. I just got off the phone
[32:13] Speaker 1: with Stevie real quick. He's actually down by the Rock
[32:19] Speaker 1: Creek Park inside DC. This is a really big deal.
[32:25] Speaker 1: It's literally minutes away from downtown. So not to give
[32:30] Speaker 1: too much away about Stevie's location. What Stevie's hearing, it
[32:35] Speaker 1: can't be Gibbons, but he is near Rock Creek Park
[32:39] Speaker 1: as well. Okay, so this is now the third time
[32:44] Speaker 1: that we have documented experiences around major zoos. Okay, So
[32:51] Speaker 1: if you remember the BFRO report with the Omaha Zoo area,
[32:55] Speaker 1: and then you've got the green belt that goes down
[32:57] Speaker 1: from Lords and Gardens and goes all the way down
[32:59] Speaker 1: to the now bump out, that's number one. I've also
[33:03] Speaker 1: talked to another individual about a incident that happened in
[33:06] Speaker 1: the green space surrounding the Kansas City Zoo. It's number two.
[33:11] Speaker 1: Now we have this third experience that has happened close
[33:14] Speaker 1: to Rock Creek Park, which actually connects to the Smithsonian
[33:18] Speaker 1: National Zoo actually inside the District of Columbia. So there's
[33:27] Speaker 1: a lot going on here. Do we have Bigfoot inside Washington, DC?
[33:36] Speaker 1: That is the question that must now be asked, And
[33:39] Speaker 1: if anyone can answer that question, reach out big for Societygmail.
[33:45] Speaker 1: Dot com thank you. Before we wrap this episode, I
[33:49] Speaker 1: want to say something directly to a very specific group
[33:52] Speaker 1: of listeners. If you're in the military, any branch or forces,
[33:57] Speaker 1: and if you've seen something that no one can explain,
[34:00] Speaker 1: or if you're a National park ranger or forestry worker
[34:03] Speaker 1: who's been told to stay quiet, or if you're a
[34:05] Speaker 1: pilot who's seen something strange down on the ground, or
[34:09] Speaker 1: if you're with the FBI a federal agency, or working
[34:12] Speaker 1: intelligence and you stumbled upon something you're not allowed to
[34:16] Speaker 1: talk about. And if you're a firefighter, paramedic, or search
[34:19] Speaker 1: and rescue responder who's heard screams or found tracks that
[34:22] Speaker 1: didn't make sense. If you're in the logging industry on
[34:26] Speaker 1: a remote oil field, or a trucker with government contracts
[34:30] Speaker 1: and you've had something happen that you've never told a soul.
[34:34] Speaker 1: And if you're a biologist, a wildlife specialist, or a
[34:37] Speaker 1: field researcher under contract who has found evidence you're not
[34:41] Speaker 1: allowed to report. If you're a pastor, a missionary, or
[34:44] Speaker 1: someone on a spiritual retreat and you saw something that
[34:47] Speaker 1: shook your faith, or if you work in the shadows CIA, NSA,
[34:52] Speaker 1: or anything with clearance and you've seen what the public hasn't,
[34:57] Speaker 1: then I want to talk to you, even if it's anonymous.
[35:02] Speaker 1: You can reach me at Bigfoot Society at gmail dot com.
