In this episode, we delve into the unforgettable experience of Vanessa from Oregon, who shares a chilling encounter that took place deep within the forests near Bagby Hot Springs in Mount Hood National Forest. What began as a simple camping trip with her young son quickly turned into something she still struggles to explain. As night settled in, the familiar sounds of the forest gave way to something far more deliberate. Strange knocking echoed through the trees, carrying in a way that felt unnatural, followed by a moment that would stay with her forever. Vanessa recounts what she and her son witnessed just beyond their camp, describing details that continue to raise questions long after they left the area. The following morning brought another discovery that added a new layer to the experience, leaving her to reconsider everything she thought she understood about the wilderness. Vanessa’s story is grounded, emotional, and deeply personal, offering a firsthand account from someone who had no expectations of encountering the unknown. Join us as we explore her experience in one of the most active regions in Oregon and consider what might be waiting just beyond the edge of the firelight. 🗣️ Share Your Story Had a Bigfoot encounter or strange experience? [0:00] Speaker 1: You're listening to Big Society, and I'm Jeremiah Byron. In
[0:03] Speaker 1: this show, we go beyond the campfire stories to bring
[0:05] Speaker 1: you first hand encounters from people who say they've seen
[0:08] Speaker 1: something impossible. From backwoods trails and remote mountain haulers to
[0:12] Speaker 1: quiet farms and crowded highways. The stories come from everywhere,
[0:16] Speaker 1: and each one leaves us with more questions than answers.
[0:20] Speaker 1: These are the voices of the people who've lived it.
[0:24] Speaker 1: To settle in, because today you'll hear another account that
[0:27] Speaker 1: just might change the way you see the woods forever.
[0:30] Speaker 1: So stay with us, all I pick that Society. I've
[0:32] Speaker 1: got the privilege of talking to Vanessa today. Vanessa is
[0:36] Speaker 1: a individual I got connected to, I believe over on
[0:38] Speaker 1: the TikTok platform. She's from out there in Lincoln City, Oregon.
[0:43] Speaker 1: But today we're going to be talking about an experience
[0:47] Speaker 1: that Vanessa had in a place in Oregon. It sounds
[0:50] Speaker 1: like she will never be going back to again. If
[0:54] Speaker 1: I've gotten the story good so far, But Vanessa will
[1:00] Speaker 1: come to the show. How are you doing today?
[1:03] Speaker 2: I'm well, thank you, thank you for having me.
[1:06] Speaker 1: Absolutely this this area of Mount Hood National Forest, there's
[1:12] Speaker 1: a lot of ground in this area, and of course
[1:14] Speaker 1: it's one of the most it's one of the areas
[1:18] Speaker 1: we hear the most about on the show, to be honest,
[1:21] Speaker 1: just because there's so much activity in this area. So
[1:25] Speaker 1: you know, I'm excited to hear what your account was,
[1:28] Speaker 1: and I know that you haven't really been able to
[1:31] Speaker 1: share this account with a lot of people.
[1:33] Speaker 2: Correct, yes, but yes, that's correct.
[1:40] Speaker 1: That's great. So Vanessa, I'm going to make sure that
[1:44] Speaker 1: you have the the time to share what you've come
[1:49] Speaker 1: to the show to share today. So feel free to,
[1:52] Speaker 1: you know, to take us back to to that time.
[1:56] Speaker 1: What was going on, Why were you, why were you
[1:58] Speaker 1: in that area to begin with, and things like that.
[2:04] Speaker 2: So I took my son and his friends camping, and
[2:07] Speaker 2: at that time, he was nine years old, and so
[2:11] Speaker 2: they were both nine and I decided to take them camping,
[2:14] Speaker 2: and the plan was to go to Bagbee because we
[2:17] Speaker 2: heard about the hot springs just reopening. We had originally
[2:21] Speaker 2: we moved here from Colorado and we moved to Vancouver,
[2:25] Speaker 2: Washington at that time, and I just thought, how cool
[2:28] Speaker 2: would it be to go to the hot springs. We
[2:30] Speaker 2: went out there and we got lost, and this would
[2:33] Speaker 2: have been in May of last year, so May of
[2:35] Speaker 2: twenty twenty five when I took them out there, I'd
[2:39] Speaker 2: never been around Mood National Forest. That was the furthest
[2:42] Speaker 2: I've ever been in Oregon at that time, and that's
[2:46] Speaker 2: I guess that's how it started. But we got lost.
[2:50] Speaker 2: There was the GTS lost the signal location and we
[2:53] Speaker 2: were trying to follow signs and we ended up camping.
[2:56] Speaker 2: We just parked at a spot because there was a
[2:59] Speaker 2: river below with and I just thought, pay, I'm going
[3:01] Speaker 2: to stop and we're going to part here and we'll
[3:03] Speaker 2: just camp here. But so I know I was near
[3:06] Speaker 2: Bagby Organ, but the actual location I don't know because
[3:10] Speaker 2: we were lost.
[3:12] Speaker 1: Something I will point out real quick to listeners. Bagbe
[3:15] Speaker 1: Hot Springs has come up on the show before. It
[3:18] Speaker 1: is a super active area. This is down by the
[3:22] Speaker 1: Bigfoot Highway which goes from Estacada to Detroit. I know
[3:26] Speaker 1: we've heard about this area on episode seven eighteen with
[3:30] Speaker 1: Jeff Ron, an individual who has been there a few times.
[3:35] Speaker 1: There's feelings of being watched and found fifteen inch tracks
[3:40] Speaker 1: after hearing pretty much a voice inside that urged him
[3:46] Speaker 1: to visit that area. So a lot of really weird
[3:48] Speaker 1: stuff that happens in the bagbye hot spring, and there's
[3:50] Speaker 1: other reports out there as well. But Vanessa, what happened
[3:54] Speaker 1: to you guys when you were in this area then?
[4:01] Speaker 2: So when we got there, I mean, things were as
[4:03] Speaker 2: normal as they can be for having two, you know,
[4:07] Speaker 2: nine year old kids, and I mean it was just
[4:11] Speaker 2: a normal camping experience until the nightfall hit. So at dusk,
[4:16] Speaker 2: at dusk, the we I don't know if they're called
[4:19] Speaker 2: nightingales or night birds, but we kept hearing these birds
[4:22] Speaker 2: come down. And so for me this is significant because
[4:25] Speaker 2: I bird watch and the boys started freaking out, you know,
[4:29] Speaker 2: because they thought it sounded like a bear, and like,
[4:32] Speaker 2: it's not a bear because these were burnt. So by nightfall,
[4:35] Speaker 2: you know, we're in we're in our campgrounds, and we're
[4:37] Speaker 2: in bed on the air mattress. And then about I mean,
[4:41] Speaker 2: I think it's probably one thirty or one o'clock in
[4:44] Speaker 2: the morning, because I do remember looking at my phone
[4:47] Speaker 2: and my son he had to go to the bathroom,
[4:50] Speaker 2: but he didn't want to walk out of the camp alone.
[4:52] Speaker 2: So I walked out with him, and I started getting
[4:56] Speaker 2: the fire going while he did his business, and then
[4:58] Speaker 2: I mean, once the fi started going, we both looked
[5:01] Speaker 2: up and there was no sounds at that time. God
[5:05] Speaker 2: had explained it at that time, there was no sounds.
[5:09] Speaker 2: That we looked up and we could see something walking
[5:12] Speaker 2: and my son started freaking out, saying, that's a bear, Like,
[5:15] Speaker 2: that's not a bear, And then we heard these it
[5:18] Speaker 2: sounded like a woodpecker. That's the only way I know
[5:21] Speaker 2: how to describe it, because I know it wasn't a
[5:23] Speaker 2: woodpecker at that time of night, but there was like
[5:26] Speaker 2: these echoes and there were it just echoed through the
[5:29] Speaker 2: trees and you could hear these knocks on the wood
[5:31] Speaker 2: and it sounded to me my first thought was woodpecker,
[5:35] Speaker 2: but you know, the same part of myself says, no,
[5:39] Speaker 2: there's not woodpeckers. They don't come out at night. And
[5:43] Speaker 2: we were watching this figure like he's walking across the
[5:47] Speaker 2: camp and that's because the fire starts going, and it's
[5:50] Speaker 2: not a bear because it's I don't know, I had
[5:53] Speaker 2: a been at least seven feet tall, and we just
[5:57] Speaker 2: grabbed each other's arms, I mean literally just grabbed each
[5:59] Speaker 2: other's and we went back in the tent. His friend
[6:02] Speaker 2: was still sleeping and we just huddled up in the tent,
[6:05] Speaker 2: and that next morning we left and I still cannot
[6:10] Speaker 2: make sense of it. And that's when I actually discovered
[6:14] Speaker 2: what Bigfoot was or the Abominable Stillman, because we were
[6:17] Speaker 2: researching it because we know what we saw. That there's
[6:21] Speaker 2: I don't there's no way to describe it, especially the
[6:24] Speaker 2: knocks through the wood, because I've never heard of anything
[6:27] Speaker 2: like that.
[6:31] Speaker 1: Wow, that is extremely intense. I have a few thoughts
[6:35] Speaker 1: right well, I'm trying.
[6:38] Speaker 2: I'm trying to control my emotions with it because it's
[6:41] Speaker 2: like it happened yesterday and I will never go back there.
[6:45] Speaker 2: To point out though, this is that it's not that
[6:47] Speaker 2: we were scared, like I didn't feel threatened or something
[6:51] Speaker 2: was trying to hurt us. But I'm scared because I
[6:54] Speaker 2: don't know what it was. I can't identify it, and
[6:57] Speaker 2: that's scary.
[6:59] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, absolutely. It would be interesting if you were
[7:03] Speaker 1: to find a copy of the Oregon Bigfoot Highway book
[7:07] Speaker 1: and using the maps in there, you might be able
[7:09] Speaker 1: to figure out kind of the area. I mean, because
[7:15] Speaker 1: you're by Bagby, but there's so many other weird things
[7:18] Speaker 1: down there by Bagbye. I mean, there's Skukum Lake, which
[7:21] Speaker 1: is where a gentleman named Henry Franzoni had a lot
[7:25] Speaker 1: of bigfoot activity. So that's north of there, and then
[7:30] Speaker 1: even north of there is Fish Creek where I believe
[7:37] Speaker 1: that hunter was found after he went missing. So that
[7:40] Speaker 1: that whole area, and that just happened recently this last year.
[7:44] Speaker 1: But a few questions about the encounters. So the tree
[7:48] Speaker 1: knocks that you heard, do you remember if or the
[7:52] Speaker 1: woodpecker type sounds that you heard with the echoing right,
[7:56] Speaker 1: was there a pattern to them at all?
[8:00] Speaker 2: Yes, I mean that's what my first instinct would said,
[8:03] Speaker 2: that's a woodpecker because it was like it sounded like
[8:05] Speaker 2: three pecks. So three knocks, I guess. I mean, just
[8:09] Speaker 2: it's just tap tap, tap, and then but I can't
[8:12] Speaker 2: explain it because it feels like it echoed through all
[8:15] Speaker 2: the trees. And that's what I mean. It made the
[8:18] Speaker 2: hairs on the back of my neck stand up. And
[8:19] Speaker 2: that's when my son came back to me and we're
[8:23] Speaker 2: looking and then we see a figure. So I at
[8:27] Speaker 2: this at this point, I mean, I've researched a lot
[8:29] Speaker 2: more since then, and I don't know what's through what's not.
[8:32] Speaker 2: And that's where your channel on TikTok really caught my
[8:34] Speaker 2: attention because it's like somebody's able to explain maybe what
[8:39] Speaker 2: I just went through, because again, to me, it feels
[8:42] Speaker 2: like it was yesterday. So the patterns of it. It
[8:45] Speaker 2: sounded like a woodpecker knocking or somebody knocking on the wood,
[8:49] Speaker 2: and it was fast. It was three knocks, and then
[8:52] Speaker 2: but it echoed. It just echoed throughout the whole forest.
[8:57] Speaker 1: Did it sound like there was more? Let's so let's
[9:00] Speaker 1: assume maybe that it was it was what you saw
[9:05] Speaker 1: that could have been making the sounds of the knox, right.
[9:10] Speaker 1: Did it sound like there was more if we're saying
[9:14] Speaker 1: three knocks would be a group of knocks. Did it
[9:17] Speaker 1: sound like it was just coming from one area or
[9:20] Speaker 1: were they coming from multiple areas around the camp.
[9:24] Speaker 2: Well, so that's what it's still to this day confusing
[9:27] Speaker 2: for me because initially you could hear it, like I'm
[9:32] Speaker 2: putting myself in that position, I could hear it from
[9:33] Speaker 2: my right ear the knox, But the way that it
[9:37] Speaker 2: echoed around the forest, I couldn't tell if it was
[9:40] Speaker 2: coming from another direction. You know, there's nothing in sight.
[9:44] Speaker 2: I mean, all we had was stars in our little camp.
[9:47] Speaker 2: There was nothing in sight, so it's almost like the
[9:50] Speaker 2: forest who was playing tricks on my head. I know
[9:53] Speaker 2: that sounds crazy, but to me initially when it happened,
[9:57] Speaker 2: I would say it was coming from my right hand.
[10:00] Speaker 2: I mean I could hear it through my right ear,
[10:03] Speaker 2: you know, the three caps and knocks, and I'm sitting
[10:05] Speaker 2: here at my kitchen table, so I'm gonna do it.
[10:07] Speaker 2: But it was so fast and like, it's not a woodpecker.
[10:11] Speaker 2: But then it just echoed throughout the forest, so I
[10:14] Speaker 2: didn't know if it was something else was knocking back
[10:17] Speaker 2: or if it was an echo, And that disillusion is
[10:21] Speaker 2: extremely terrifying when you don't know what's going on.
[10:25] Speaker 1: Right, And also keeping in mind that you said this
[10:29] Speaker 1: is between one to one thirty am in the morning, correct, yes, sir.
[10:33] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[10:33] Speaker 1: Also, you're in an area where, from what I've gotten
[10:37] Speaker 1: so far, your GPS doesn't work, and you don't have
[10:40] Speaker 1: cellular service.
[10:41] Speaker 2: Right, No, yep, there's none.
[10:44] Speaker 1: Gotcha, And you're an adult that is in charge of you.
[10:50] Speaker 1: Say a few nine year olds.
[10:53] Speaker 2: Yeah, I have my son. He was nine and he
[10:55] Speaker 2: brought his friend and he's at that time he was
[10:58] Speaker 2: also nine their ten years old. Mountains.
[11:02] Speaker 1: Wow, that's that's a lot. And I mean what I'd
[11:06] Speaker 1: be thinking is, Okay, I don't know really where we
[11:09] Speaker 1: are and how are we going to get out of here?
[11:12] Speaker 1: And then all of a sudden, Uh, you start to
[11:16] Speaker 1: see something walking around the camp. Now, how far away
[11:20] Speaker 1: from you, guys? Was it? When it was walking across
[11:23] Speaker 1: the camp?
[11:24] Speaker 2: Less than one hundred feet? Because we're that camp, so
[11:27] Speaker 2: and I could tell you how I got there because
[11:29] Speaker 2: you brought up Esticada and that that that rings a
[11:32] Speaker 2: bell because that's the way we went. We were coming
[11:34] Speaker 2: from Vancouver, Washington, and we went I didn't even know
[11:38] Speaker 2: the names of the roads, but we drove through es
[11:40] Speaker 2: Cicada because that's where the maps was telling me to go.
[11:43] Speaker 2: And then we went through Esticada's and I hit Hood
[11:46] Speaker 2: National Force and then Bagby Springs. There's a sign there.
[11:50] Speaker 2: I'm like, sweet, So I took a right. I took
[11:52] Speaker 2: a right on that street and then that's when the
[11:55] Speaker 2: GPS said the lost and I didn't have it downloaded
[11:58] Speaker 2: on my map, so we just kept trying to follow
[12:01] Speaker 2: the signs and I must have missed a turn somewhere,
[12:05] Speaker 2: and I mean I had to, because we didn't make
[12:08] Speaker 2: it to BAGB and the boys retired, like we're just
[12:11] Speaker 2: going to stop the camp. So I know, I know
[12:13] Speaker 2: I couldn't have been less than twenty five miles away
[12:16] Speaker 2: from backbe based on what my maps was saying. I'm
[12:19] Speaker 2: just trying to figure that out that I'm a female,
[12:22] Speaker 2: so I'm not good at maps.
[12:26] Speaker 1: So I just want to put in a little side
[12:32] Speaker 1: thing for a minute to really urge people. This is
[12:37] Speaker 1: what I do if I go anywhere is I have
[12:41] Speaker 1: the in Google Maps or whatever you use. You can
[12:44] Speaker 1: download the maps area to your phone in case you
[12:48] Speaker 1: lose GPS, you can still know where you are. I
[12:52] Speaker 1: do it all the time. I didn't do that, I
[12:54] Speaker 1: would from here on out. You'll probably be doing it
[12:56] Speaker 1: when you go out because a lot of these areas,
[12:58] Speaker 1: I mean, you're so far out, Like you guys are
[13:02] Speaker 1: really lucky that you were able to even get back
[13:06] Speaker 1: to where where you had you'd gone out.
[13:09] Speaker 2: Of, you know, And I absolutely agree. And that's actually
[13:13] Speaker 2: a whole nother story because that next morning, I mean,
[13:15] Speaker 2: it wasn't right when the sun came up, so six
[13:18] Speaker 2: or seven o'clock in the morning we left. I mean
[13:22] Speaker 2: I packed every I had everything in the car because
[13:24] Speaker 2: I was I wasn't scared that something was going to
[13:27] Speaker 2: hurt us because I figured whatever we saw, if it
[13:30] Speaker 2: was going to hurt us, it would have happened. I
[13:34] Speaker 2: didn't know, and I yeah, I had two children with me,
[13:37] Speaker 2: and we packed up and we left. And so the
[13:39] Speaker 2: funny part to the after story is is getting lost
[13:42] Speaker 2: on the way home.
[13:43] Speaker 1: Before we get out of the campsite area. Maybe ask
[13:47] Speaker 1: you a little bit more so. One hundred feet is
[13:51] Speaker 1: about the length of a basketball court. Does that sound accurate?
[13:55] Speaker 2: Yes?
[13:55] Speaker 1: Okay, yes, So were you able to see any details
[14:02] Speaker 1: that you remember about what you were looking at?
[14:07] Speaker 2: It looked like a bear standing and running on its legs,
[14:11] Speaker 2: on its hind legs. It wasn't running on all fours,
[14:14] Speaker 2: it was That's what That was My first thought, that
[14:17] Speaker 2: that's a bear. But then you know, irrational. You have
[14:22] Speaker 2: to battle the rational side of them because I know
[14:25] Speaker 2: bears don't run on their hind legs like that. And
[14:28] Speaker 2: it was at least I mean, I don't. I have
[14:30] Speaker 2: an ex husband who's six at five, so that's how
[14:33] Speaker 2: I'm going to judge this, Okay, but this was taller
[14:36] Speaker 2: than him and he's running and it's running and my
[14:40] Speaker 2: son saw the other towel. He was sleeping, but my
[14:43] Speaker 2: son saw it, and we just tell hands and we
[14:45] Speaker 2: ran right back into a tent and we're just both
[14:48] Speaker 2: thinking like what the frick was that? What is going on?
[14:53] Speaker 2: And he fell back to sleep, But I mean I didn't.
[14:55] Speaker 2: I mean, there's no way I did that. I didn't,
[14:58] Speaker 2: if that makes sense. Yeah, saw, yeah, So yeah, I
[15:03] Speaker 2: mean I couldn't go to.
[15:05] Speaker 1: Sleep, because sometimes it kind of goes either way. Sometimes witnesses,
[15:11] Speaker 1: if they go back in their tent, just they go
[15:13] Speaker 1: to sleep immediately. But then the other time, the other
[15:17] Speaker 1: times you're just so amped up. And it sounded like,
[15:19] Speaker 1: so were you up for hours then trying to go
[15:22] Speaker 1: to sleep or how did that work?
[15:24] Speaker 2: Yeah? I was trying. I was making sure that my
[15:27] Speaker 2: son got back to sleep. I was rubbing his back
[15:29] Speaker 2: and I'm like it was fine. I'm sure it's just
[15:31] Speaker 2: a bear. And then we're both trying. We're bouncing thoughts
[15:34] Speaker 2: off each other, like, well, what was that. I got
[15:38] Speaker 2: him back to sleep? He didn't sleep well, but I tried.
[15:42] Speaker 2: I mean I tried to go back to sleep, but no,
[15:44] Speaker 2: I didn't. I was just thinking how quick I could
[15:46] Speaker 2: pack up the campground and what time they could do
[15:48] Speaker 2: it at. That was my plan, is how am I
[15:51] Speaker 2: going to get us out of here? Because I don't
[15:53] Speaker 2: know where I'm at. I just knew that if we
[15:56] Speaker 2: were in the car, we'd be okay.
[15:58] Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly.
[15:59] Speaker 2: Now for me, I was one of those people that
[16:03] Speaker 2: was able to just fall sleep because yeah, that didn't happen.
[16:05] Speaker 2: I was just trying to plan our escape. We didn't
[16:08] Speaker 2: even eat breakfast that morning. I packed us up and
[16:10] Speaker 2: we left and I'll never go back. Nothing helped me
[16:14] Speaker 2: that we're not supposed to be there.
[16:16] Speaker 1: Yeah, So based on what you had seen, was it
[16:20] Speaker 1: a certain color that you could tell, or was it
[16:22] Speaker 1: covered in hair or could you see skin? Any details
[16:25] Speaker 1: like that I could?
[16:27] Speaker 2: To me, Now that's the tricky part because I don't
[16:31] Speaker 2: know if my mind's playing tricks on me. So it
[16:34] Speaker 2: was definitely hairy because my first instinct when I saw
[16:37] Speaker 2: it was that's a bear. And then the rational thought
[16:40] Speaker 2: comes in, Now, it's not a bear because bears don't
[16:42] Speaker 2: run on their hind legs that far. I mean in
[16:45] Speaker 2: one hundred feet. To me, that's not that far. So
[16:48] Speaker 2: there was a main street and I don't remember the
[16:50] Speaker 2: name of the road. But I pulled over on this
[16:53] Speaker 2: main street and he was on the other side, you know,
[16:56] Speaker 2: so I would think, right, yeah, like you said, like
[16:59] Speaker 2: a basketball court. Had been about one hundred yards for me,
[17:01] Speaker 2: one hundred feet from me. But to me, it looked
[17:05] Speaker 2: it looked like a can color brown. And this is
[17:07] Speaker 2: based off because it was pitch dark, but it got
[17:10] Speaker 2: the fire going. So the fire, you know, you have
[17:13] Speaker 2: the illumination from the fire and the shadows from that.
[17:15] Speaker 2: But then there was the moonlight and it was a
[17:17] Speaker 2: perfectly clear light. We saw all the stars. So to
[17:21] Speaker 2: me that that's why I'm guessing the color. And I
[17:25] Speaker 2: had hair because I thought it was a bear.
[17:29] Speaker 1: Exactly. So so you were in an actual campground then, No,
[17:38] Speaker 1: I mean.
[17:39] Speaker 2: No, it was I call it because it was our campground,
[17:42] Speaker 2: Like we made our own campground. We just pulled over
[17:44] Speaker 2: on the side of the road, so that wasn't a
[17:46] Speaker 2: designated campground of what we built our rocks and you
[17:50] Speaker 2: know around, you know, made our fire. It was our campground,
[17:53] Speaker 2: so that's I'm calling it a campground. But no, there was. Yeah,
[17:56] Speaker 2: it was just off the side of a road. For
[17:58] Speaker 2: I happened to get lost on and I wish I
[18:01] Speaker 2: could picture the name of the road. I can't, but
[18:03] Speaker 2: I do. You know, I came from Sacada and there's
[18:06] Speaker 2: all these signs for Bagbee and I we just missed
[18:10] Speaker 2: it somehow and just stopped.
[18:14] Speaker 1: So you're just on the side of a forest road.
[18:16] Speaker 2: It sounds like, yes, oh wow, okay, in the middle
[18:20] Speaker 2: of the forest. It was beautiful.
[18:25] Speaker 1: When when you had turned onto that road for Bagbee,
[18:29] Speaker 1: do you remember if there was like a fork in
[18:32] Speaker 1: the road and you had to take a certain a
[18:35] Speaker 1: certain direction on that fork.
[18:38] Speaker 2: It's actually funny you say that, because yes, So the
[18:40] Speaker 2: person who told me about Bagbee explain this to me.
[18:43] Speaker 2: He's like, you're going to probably lose GPS that I'll
[18:46] Speaker 2: download your maps, and I didn't do that. I should
[18:48] Speaker 2: have that. He's like, there's a fork in the road,
[18:51] Speaker 2: and he told me to take the right to the
[18:53] Speaker 2: fork in the road. And I believe that's what I took.
[18:56] Speaker 2: That that's where I got lost. We even ran that's
[19:00] Speaker 2: where the stray goes. Later that next day, we ran
[19:02] Speaker 2: into a park ranger and the park ranger is the
[19:05] Speaker 2: one who's coming, Oh, you missed your turn. That either way,
[19:09] Speaker 2: I was like we're going home like we're eating got it?
[19:12] Speaker 1: Got it?
[19:12] Speaker 2: So I got us back to sticat It.
[19:14] Speaker 1: Yeah, Okay, I'm thinking that because I'm trying to follow
[19:17] Speaker 1: along on the map at the same time, and it
[19:19] Speaker 1: looks like you there's a there's a fork in the
[19:22] Speaker 1: road where then you take that right and you go
[19:25] Speaker 1: down to Bagbee. You keep taking the forty sixth road
[19:30] Speaker 1: and it actually goes through a few campgrounds on the way,
[19:33] Speaker 1: but I'm guessing that's probably where you were headed down
[19:37] Speaker 1: because if you go to the left, then that takes
[19:39] Speaker 1: you around down to Detroit eventually. So that's my guess.
[19:44] Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, I mean, I know I took a right
[19:46] Speaker 2: at the fork in the road, and then I think
[19:49] Speaker 2: if I remember to get to Bagbe once you take
[19:51] Speaker 2: that right at the fork, you have to make a
[19:54] Speaker 2: left somewhere to get to back b that we just
[19:58] Speaker 2: kept going. And when you said the forty six that's
[20:00] Speaker 2: the road that we were on. Now that you said that,
[20:03] Speaker 2: I mean that's where we were at because I remember
[20:05] Speaker 2: the signs when we were leading.
[20:07] Speaker 1: Gotcha. So when you were watching the w you're saying
[20:12] Speaker 1: it was a big foot running across your campsite. How
[20:15] Speaker 1: far did you see it run for?
[20:20] Speaker 2: It was probably less than ten seconds, And so I
[20:24] Speaker 2: know how this sounds. That's why I don't tell the story.
[20:29] Speaker 1: And to add on to that, distance wise, what would
[20:33] Speaker 1: you estimate that I was able to run in ten seconds?
[20:37] Speaker 2: It was faster than a cheetah. I mean it was
[20:39] Speaker 2: that quick. I mean that's that's it's still to the stay.
[20:43] Speaker 2: It's been a year, and I still battle what I
[20:45] Speaker 2: actually saw, you know, because the mind placed tricks on you.
[20:48] Speaker 2: But all I can go back is to that gun
[20:50] Speaker 2: instinct and that it moved faster than a cheetah. I
[20:54] Speaker 2: mean it was gone. It was there and then it
[20:56] Speaker 2: was gone, and we both saw it. I just I
[21:01] Speaker 2: just wish, I just I don't ever tell the story
[21:03] Speaker 2: because it just sounds insane.
[21:05] Speaker 1: But they put through it, so I totally get that,
[21:10] Speaker 1: and I'm I understand. You know, you tell the story
[21:14] Speaker 1: and it makes you feel a little weird. But the
[21:16] Speaker 1: crazy thing is is that when you do something like
[21:20] Speaker 1: I do, where I've talked to people for like four
[21:23] Speaker 1: or five years, it's like you hear stuff like this
[21:25] Speaker 1: every single day all across the world, which is why.
[21:32] Speaker 2: Wild.
[21:32] Speaker 1: Yeah, something is definitely out there and it is just
[21:37] Speaker 1: outside the grip of us understanding what is going on.
[21:42] Speaker 1: So here's another question for you. When you're in this uh,
[21:49] Speaker 1: this makeshift campsite, did you and so you probably left
[21:54] Speaker 1: really quick, but I'm wondering, did you notice anything out
[21:58] Speaker 1: of the ordinary or scuffle marks or what looked like
[22:04] Speaker 1: footprints or you're just like, I'm out of here as
[22:06] Speaker 1: quick as I can.
[22:08] Speaker 2: So And I'm gonna be completely honest, and this is
[22:10] Speaker 2: gonna sound crazy. First off, No, I didn't look We
[22:13] Speaker 2: didn't look for any of that. The other child who
[22:17] Speaker 2: was with us, I mean, he didn't know about it,
[22:18] Speaker 2: but Michael, my son, Michael, and he and I were like,
[22:20] Speaker 2: we're gone, we're leading. And so I'm packing up in
[22:23] Speaker 2: the morning. But what was And I know this, I
[22:25] Speaker 2: know how this sounds. But the cooler was open. And
[22:30] Speaker 2: I've camped. I mean, I'm from Colorado, I've camped. I mean,
[22:33] Speaker 2: I know the etiquette of camping. You keep your cooler,
[22:35] Speaker 2: clothes to keep the food away, you clean up, and
[22:38] Speaker 2: there's no trace right that you've ever been there. But
[22:41] Speaker 2: the cooler was open, and we had apples in the cooler,
[22:45] Speaker 2: and the apples were gone, and I know how this sounds,
[22:51] Speaker 2: and this is where I feel like I'm actually going crazy,
[22:53] Speaker 2: because the apples were there because the boys didn't want
[22:56] Speaker 2: to eat them, and I'm like, we'll just make us
[22:59] Speaker 2: for breakfast. And what I like to do when I
[23:01] Speaker 2: camp is I roast the apples over fire and then
[23:03] Speaker 2: we melt peanut butter on it, and that's kind of
[23:05] Speaker 2: like her breakfast treat. The apples were gone. So when
[23:09] Speaker 2: we got home, I'm researching everything about trying to understand
[23:14] Speaker 2: what I saw, and then I read some article or
[23:16] Speaker 2: Bigfoot likes apples, So again, I know how this sounds.
[23:21] Speaker 2: But the apples were gone. And I'm not crazy. I
[23:24] Speaker 2: wasn't drinking. I mean, everything was. It was a normal
[23:27] Speaker 2: night camping with two young kids. But the apples were gone.
[23:31] Speaker 2: And there's nobody that will ever convince me that I'm
[23:35] Speaker 2: wrong on that feel crazy even saying this to you.
[23:38] Speaker 1: I think that's one of the most important details that
[23:41] Speaker 1: you could have given, because as you found in your research,
[23:44] Speaker 1: like so many research that searchers out there or habituators
[23:49] Speaker 1: people that have Bigfoot on their property, they're putting apples
[23:52] Speaker 1: out and that's like the common food that they are
[23:56] Speaker 1: able to and that's what I read, right, yeah, exactly.
[23:59] Speaker 1: And what else was in the cooler?
[24:03] Speaker 2: I had a steak in the cooler, and I had eggs,
[24:06] Speaker 2: and then we have string cheese and then ice of course,
[24:10] Speaker 2: and everything else is in place, but we have three apples. Yeah,
[24:14] Speaker 2: so to be fair to this conversation, So we had
[24:16] Speaker 2: three apples because that's what's going to make the boys
[24:18] Speaker 2: for breakfast. You know, they've never had my apple peanted butter,
[24:21] Speaker 2: you know, campfire themes. But there was still one apple
[24:24] Speaker 2: in there. But there was two gone. And that's I
[24:28] Speaker 2: just I'm not ready to cry right now because I
[24:31] Speaker 2: know how insane that sounds. It sounds like you're trying
[24:33] Speaker 2: to pitch a story and I'm not like this.
[24:36] Speaker 1: Happened no that I mean, so, okay, a few things,
[24:42] Speaker 1: so I want to say a few things based on
[24:45] Speaker 1: just that, which are really important. If it was a bear,
[24:48] Speaker 1: there's no way that bear would have not left the
[24:51] Speaker 1: steak and just taken apples and left one of the apples, right,
[24:55] Speaker 1: I mean, that's huge, yes. And then the other thing
[24:58] Speaker 1: is that, I mean, you hear of that happening and
[25:01] Speaker 1: other other things where it's like they're leaving one for
[25:06] Speaker 1: you guys. You know, there's kind of like a sharing
[25:09] Speaker 1: type thing there. I've heard that before, So this is.
[25:13] Speaker 2: So that's interesting, that's intriguing. And it was real and
[25:18] Speaker 2: I'm just I'm nervous right now, and I talk fast,
[25:20] Speaker 2: and I apologize to you and your listeners, but thank
[25:24] Speaker 2: you so much for hearing my story, because this was real,
[25:27] Speaker 2: Like it was. It was freaking insane. Sure, absolutely, but
[25:31] Speaker 2: I know what I saw and I know what was missing,
[25:33] Speaker 2: and I just couldn't wait to get out of there. However,
[25:36] Speaker 2: I have to say this again and again. I never
[25:38] Speaker 2: felt threatened. I never felt like we were in danger,
[25:42] Speaker 2: like something was going to hurt us. I was scared
[25:44] Speaker 2: because I didn't know what I saw was. I couldn't
[25:49] Speaker 2: make sense of what I saw.
[25:51] Speaker 1: One hundred percent. I can't imagine. I've never gone through
[25:55] Speaker 1: anything specifically like that where there's a visual something that's
[25:58] Speaker 1: got to be incredible. Was there any video or audio
[26:03] Speaker 1: recorded at all during this time when you're on the campsite? No, gotcha?
[26:08] Speaker 2: No, yeah no. I kicked myself from out and embody,
[26:12] Speaker 2: and then they asked me to old prove it, Well,
[26:14] Speaker 2: why didn't you record it? That everything happens so quick
[26:19] Speaker 2: at one in the morning, when your child's going to
[26:21] Speaker 2: the bathroom in the middle of nowhere and then trying
[26:23] Speaker 2: to restart the fire. That's the last thing in my mind.
[26:25] Speaker 2: Is worse my phone I got to record it. I
[26:27] Speaker 2: wasn't even thinking about that, And honestly, I'm glad I
[26:30] Speaker 2: didn't record it because I don't know how to explain
[26:35] Speaker 2: it that my memories is. Because it was real to me,
[26:39] Speaker 2: it was real to my son, and we don't need
[26:42] Speaker 2: a recording that. I mean, we'll always have this embedded
[26:45] Speaker 2: in our heads.
[26:46] Speaker 1: Yeah, one hundred percent. You never have to feel like
[26:49] Speaker 1: you have to prove this to anyone. And you're gonna, unfortunately,
[26:53] Speaker 1: you're going to run into that you didn't ask to
[26:56] Speaker 1: be there in that situation. You know, you didn't has
[27:00] Speaker 1: to be there and deal with this. I mean, you
[27:02] Speaker 1: are a person who survived this with your your family, uh,
[27:07] Speaker 1: and and now you have to It's in your mind
[27:10] Speaker 1: probably daily going over it.
[27:13] Speaker 2: Yeah, especially moving to Lincoln City. Yeah, and I tell
[27:18] Speaker 2: my mother this. My mother's like, well, because there's deer
[27:22] Speaker 2: on the beach here and that blows my mind, and
[27:24] Speaker 2: my mother she will because again I'm from Colorado. So
[27:28] Speaker 2: the abomas Noma, I mean whatever. I mean, I've done
[27:31] Speaker 2: all this research, but that's what's from Colorado. And I've
[27:33] Speaker 2: seen one of your Tik chocolates that was talking about
[27:36] Speaker 2: fairies and all that living in the forest, and that's
[27:39] Speaker 2: how I describe organ to my mom. But it's real.
[27:43] Speaker 2: I'm like, Oregon is that's where the fairies live, That's
[27:46] Speaker 2: where Bigfoot lives. That's where it's where the gnomes live,
[27:50] Speaker 2: you know. But Colorado that's that's that's mountain wood. You know,
[27:53] Speaker 2: it's dip to me, there's mountains and then their forests
[27:56] Speaker 2: and Oregon in Washington that's forest. And there's saying out
[28:00] Speaker 2: there that I can't explain. And I don't even know
[28:03] Speaker 2: why I'm doing this with you right now because I
[28:05] Speaker 2: feel like I'm talking crazy. But it was real, like
[28:09] Speaker 2: it was real, it happened.
[28:12] Speaker 1: Lincoln City is such an intense area. I have a
[28:16] Speaker 1: map on my website which is big for Society podcast
[28:19] Speaker 1: dot com, and it shows the people I've talked to
[28:21] Speaker 1: out there. And there are just the wildest things that
[28:25] Speaker 1: have been reported in places like Rose Lodge and Otis
[28:29] Speaker 1: and Lincoln City itself. I mean it's it's some crazy
[28:32] Speaker 1: country out there.
[28:34] Speaker 2: But yeah, my neighbors swear, all of the neighbors I
[28:37] Speaker 2: just moved here in November and they'll never leave. I mean,
[28:40] Speaker 2: I love it here, but my neighbors swear it's real. Yeah,
[28:43] Speaker 2: he's real. He just he likes the apples. That's what
[28:46] Speaker 2: they tell me. It's like, okay, oh yeah, you got
[28:48] Speaker 2: to pass here my story. So I'm just.
[28:54] Speaker 1: It's just nuts that night, in that morning. Are there
[28:58] Speaker 1: any other details that are in your mind where you're
[29:02] Speaker 1: like it feel it would feel really crazy for me
[29:05] Speaker 1: to share that experience. Where is the apple? The apples
[29:09] Speaker 1: of pretty much the wildest detail, do you think?
[29:12] Speaker 2: Oh? Yeah, the apples are by far the wildest detail.
[29:16] Speaker 2: And I get, I got. I'm trying not to cry
[29:19] Speaker 2: right now because I know how I sound, because that's
[29:23] Speaker 2: just insane, like who goes through it? Who goes through
[29:26] Speaker 2: a cooler? Like? And there's so many plausible explanations for that.
[29:30] Speaker 2: I probably left it open, right, I mean, and that's
[29:32] Speaker 2: what goes through my head. I mean, gaily, it goes
[29:35] Speaker 2: through my head. I probably left the cooler open. But
[29:37] Speaker 2: there's the steak there, the eggs are there, and if
[29:40] Speaker 2: it's a bear. The bear's going to go for the steak,
[29:43] Speaker 2: you know. I mean, that's what they're going to get,
[29:44] Speaker 2: and it's not like its it. I'm trying not to
[29:49] Speaker 2: cry because I just sound crazy because in my in
[29:52] Speaker 2: my sense whatever, if it's real, it's not like they're
[29:55] Speaker 2: just going to run through a campus still two apples.
[29:58] Speaker 2: But there's two apples gone, and there's there's thousands of
[30:02] Speaker 2: explations for that. There's two kids I have, right, I'm
[30:05] Speaker 2: in charge of two kids, and they could have messed
[30:07] Speaker 2: with it, and they were playing with fire and you know,
[30:09] Speaker 2: being boys. So there's thousands of different things that it
[30:15] Speaker 2: can make this plausible. But I'm not crazy, right, I'm
[30:18] Speaker 2: not crazy, and that's what he's going through my head,
[30:21] Speaker 2: not at all. Yeah. So, but there's two apples gone
[30:23] Speaker 2: and there's one left. So it's interesting to me that
[30:26] Speaker 2: you're telling me, well, Bigfoot will leave an offering. I mean,
[30:29] Speaker 2: I don't know how you just said it, that you
[30:30] Speaker 2: said it, So maybe he left this one. I mean,
[30:33] Speaker 2: I don't know. All I know is that that I
[30:36] Speaker 2: didn't hear anything to the campgrounds. I know that my
[30:39] Speaker 2: son and I were there and he had to go
[30:40] Speaker 2: to the bathroom, and I think it was about one
[30:42] Speaker 2: or one three dy in the morning, because I did
[30:44] Speaker 2: look at my phone. The phone was in the tents
[30:47] Speaker 2: and I went out there. I'm like, I'm going to
[30:48] Speaker 2: get the fire back going right because it was cold,
[30:51] Speaker 2: and he goes to the bathroom and then both of us,
[30:54] Speaker 2: I mean, we hear these knocks and what is that,
[30:56] Speaker 2: my son? What is that? Like, it's got to be
[30:59] Speaker 2: a woodpecker, but it's echoing through the forest. So at
[31:03] Speaker 2: that point, I'm trying to decide if it's an echo
[31:06] Speaker 2: or if it's knocking through the forest. Like at this
[31:09] Speaker 2: point in my life, I have no idea, any knowledge
[31:12] Speaker 2: with Bigfoot, Like there's no I mean, I've heard of him, right,
[31:16] Speaker 2: I've seen Harry and Henderson, and Harry and Henderson's was
[31:19] Speaker 2: a great movie. But I don't understand what all.
[31:22] Speaker 1: Of this means, oh exactly. And I think that's part
[31:26] Speaker 1: of why, I mean, I'm talking for myself, why I
[31:29] Speaker 1: am so drawn to it. One of the reasons is
[31:32] Speaker 1: because we don't we don't understand it, and there's no
[31:35] Speaker 1: easy way to get all the info, and you have
[31:37] Speaker 1: to put it together ourselves. So the next day you're
[31:46] Speaker 1: wanting to get out of there, but then it sounds
[31:48] Speaker 1: like you have quite a time to even get back
[31:52] Speaker 1: to civilization. Hello, oh Vanessa or either.
[32:13] Speaker 2: Okay, I lost you. I'm sorry.
[32:28] Speaker 1: Hey, that's all right. I know the sell your service
[32:30] Speaker 1: is crazy out there and we're about to have a
[32:32] Speaker 1: crazy lunar eclipse, so but uh, I know the blood
[32:37] Speaker 1: moons and wild so I'm gonna what I was asking
[32:41] Speaker 1: you was so the next day you're like, let's get
[32:45] Speaker 1: out of here. You pack up, but it sounds like
[32:48] Speaker 1: you have quite the time trying to even get back
[32:51] Speaker 1: to civilization.
[32:52] Speaker 2: Correct, Yes, it's correct because we didn't know where we were.
[32:58] Speaker 2: So are you asking me to pick up from Yeah? Absolutely, Okay,
[33:02] Speaker 2: So we left and then we're packing up in the
[33:05] Speaker 2: morning and the friends like, what's going on, Like we're leaving,
[33:09] Speaker 2: and then Michael my son, he's he's telling a friend
[33:12] Speaker 2: all about what we saw, and then they're going, you know,
[33:14] Speaker 2: they're being boys and talking about it. I'm I didn't
[33:18] Speaker 2: even pack up the kent, right, Like I literally just
[33:20] Speaker 2: told gravel and the tent and throwing it in the
[33:22] Speaker 2: car and like figure it out. You guys have to
[33:24] Speaker 2: situate yourself out a car. I don't have a truck,
[33:27] Speaker 2: so I have a little Saturn and that's how quick
[33:31] Speaker 2: I packed up, Like we're going home. But then we
[33:34] Speaker 2: saw the we're leaving and you said the forty six,
[33:38] Speaker 2: so I know. I went out and I took a
[33:40] Speaker 2: left on the street and that's the forty six. So
[33:42] Speaker 2: we're going left on the forty six and I'm just driving.
[33:45] Speaker 2: I'm trying to just find something where I can grasp,
[33:48] Speaker 2: you know, get cell phones, sover's just grasp where I'm at.
[33:51] Speaker 2: And then we saw sign for Bagbee. I'm like, we're
[33:54] Speaker 2: going to go to bat Sorry, we're going to go
[33:56] Speaker 2: bag Be. Like we're going like and like we're going
[34:00] Speaker 2: to see these waterfalls. And then that was like the
[34:02] Speaker 2: determination and I was crazy, Mammo at that point because
[34:06] Speaker 2: like this is what we're doing. But then we still
[34:08] Speaker 2: got lost because they had a bunch of roads closed
[34:12] Speaker 2: and we ran into Actually he's sitting right here. I
[34:14] Speaker 2: have to say this, Michael, do you remember the Australian couple.
[34:18] Speaker 2: He's nodding yes, So there and they were so nice.
[34:21] Speaker 2: There was this Australian couple who were they pulled up over.
[34:24] Speaker 2: We're like, hey, do you know where Bagbe organ is.
[34:26] Speaker 2: I'm like, no, but we're trying to find it too,
[34:29] Speaker 2: So we start. It was really funny because we're following
[34:32] Speaker 2: these people and then we ran into some park rangers
[34:35] Speaker 2: and they kept telling us the roads were closed. You
[34:38] Speaker 2: can't go there, you have to go all back through
[34:40] Speaker 2: s Cicada and they were giving us directions. And then
[34:43] Speaker 2: when he said Esdicada, I'm like, that's the town. That's
[34:46] Speaker 2: the town that we drove through, and so he gave
[34:49] Speaker 2: us other directions to go back to Bagbee. That we
[34:51] Speaker 2: hit Esticada and we left. I mean I brought us
[34:54] Speaker 2: back home at that time. Again, I was in Vancouver, Washington.
[34:58] Speaker 2: I'm sorry. I didn't mean because oh you're good.
[35:01] Speaker 1: You're good. As I said before, I ed everything, and
[35:04] Speaker 1: I would I would kind of be the same way.
[35:07] Speaker 1: I'd be like, hey, I got down here.
[35:10] Speaker 2: Yeah, it would figure it out that once. And we
[35:15] Speaker 2: were following this el Thrillian couple, you know, because they
[35:18] Speaker 2: were so excited to see Bagbee and we're like, we're
[35:21] Speaker 2: just going to follow them because they were determined to go,
[35:24] Speaker 2: and we just kind of followed them on the way out,
[35:27] Speaker 2: and we stopped to gas station that'stic Caada, And then
[35:29] Speaker 2: I drove home to Vancouver because by that time I
[35:31] Speaker 2: had self service and yeah, I have my maps, and
[35:35] Speaker 2: I will never tell you I'll never go camping again
[35:38] Speaker 2: without downloading my maps. I wish I hadn't downloaded because
[35:42] Speaker 2: when I can give you an exact location, but it
[35:46] Speaker 2: was real. I just to take that experience for me.
[35:50] Speaker 1: Yeah, that that area that you're in is so intense,
[35:54] Speaker 1: And I mean I've interviewed the guy who has spent
[35:57] Speaker 1: Joe Bieler, who spent years and years is researching Bigfoot
[36:02] Speaker 1: on the area, and he's like, man, if you're going
[36:05] Speaker 1: to go in this area, you need to have a
[36:06] Speaker 1: full tank of gas every time. You got to have
[36:09] Speaker 1: extra tire with you. The maps, like you got to
[36:13] Speaker 1: be prepared for the worst when you go into these
[36:15] Speaker 1: areas in Oregon or Washington in case something happens. And
[36:19] Speaker 1: I mean, thankful you guys got it now.
[36:21] Speaker 2: I know that. Yeah, exactly, Yeah, And you know what, like,
[36:25] Speaker 2: here's my take on all of it. I mean, I
[36:26] Speaker 2: don't know if this is the closing or not, but
[36:28] Speaker 2: my cake, and this is because it's been a year.
[36:31] Speaker 2: My take on all of this is that if Bigfoot's
[36:34] Speaker 2: real or not. Nobody can ever convince me I didn't
[36:37] Speaker 2: see what I saw, and nobody can ever convince my
[36:40] Speaker 2: son that he didn't see what he saw. However, I
[36:45] Speaker 2: don't think that Bigfoot's out to hurt anybody. If he's
[36:48] Speaker 2: full a couple of apples, fine, I just if he
[36:52] Speaker 2: was out to hurt somebody, we wouldn't have been here
[36:55] Speaker 2: to tell the story. And I just trying not to cry.
[36:58] Speaker 2: I'm sorry, but because it was real, like it was real,
[37:03] Speaker 2: and nobody will ever convince me otherwise. And I sound crazy,
[37:06] Speaker 2: So I feel ridiculous right now talking with you about it,
[37:10] Speaker 2: and you're going to share this with other people who listen,
[37:12] Speaker 2: and I just feel insane that I'm not.
[37:17] Speaker 1: You are not I'd say, I can tell you one
[37:19] Speaker 1: hundred percent, you are not crazy. You are just a
[37:22] Speaker 1: person that needs to be heard in this thank you
[37:25] Speaker 1: right area where people can be heard and where people
[37:29] Speaker 1: can share and not have to worry about being made
[37:31] Speaker 1: fun of. And thank you so much, Vanessa for coming
[37:36] Speaker 1: to this show and trusting us enough with your story
[37:39] Speaker 1: to share what you guys experienced. And I hope that
[37:43] Speaker 1: you are able to continue to find more answers as
[37:47] Speaker 1: you go along.
[37:48] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I hope I am too. And if not,
[37:52] Speaker 2: then I honestly I mean this, I'm okay with that.
[37:55] Speaker 2: I will never go back to manhood natural force. And
[37:59] Speaker 2: it's not because I'm heared of something it's gonna hurt me.
[38:02] Speaker 2: It's because I'm scared of what I don't understand. And
[38:05] Speaker 2: I just I truly believe that there's a part of
[38:07] Speaker 2: this world. I mean, no different than the deep ocean. Right,
[38:11] Speaker 2: there's things that we are just not supposed to tell.
[38:13] Speaker 2: And maybe that's what big food is. But it's real,
[38:16] Speaker 2: Like it's real. I saw him. I don't care how
[38:18] Speaker 2: quick it wasn't people tell me like we saw him.
[38:22] Speaker 2: And I'm spending a year of analyzing this and it
[38:25] Speaker 2: doesn't matter. I guess it just doesn't matter because we
[38:28] Speaker 2: walked out okay. Wow. And it's just a story to tell.
[38:34] Speaker 2: But this is the first time I've ever been able
[38:36] Speaker 2: to tell the story with just with a little bit
[38:41] Speaker 2: more ease.
[38:44] Speaker 1: I'm I'm a little emotional myself. I don't know what's
[38:48] Speaker 1: going on, but this is this is wild. Yeah, but Vanessa,
[38:53] Speaker 1: thank you so much. I think this is a great
[38:55] Speaker 1: place to end our conversation. But if there's thank you
[39:00] Speaker 1: for coming on. If there's anything that you ever have
[39:02] Speaker 1: questions about, feel free to reach out and I will
[39:05] Speaker 1: try to help the best I can with that as well.
[39:07] Speaker 2: Thank you get sir, well, thank you for having me on,
[39:10] Speaker 2: and I hope you have a fantastic afternoon.
[39:13] Speaker 1: Have you ever heard all the accounts of bigfoot activity
[39:17] Speaker 1: around Oakridge, Oregon? And you think to yourself, Man, I
[39:20] Speaker 1: would love to get out in those woods and experience
[39:23] Speaker 1: it for myself. Well, guess what this year you can.
[39:28] Speaker 1: If this is interesting to you, stay tuned because it's

[39:36] Speaker 1: through the eleventh, twenty twenty six. It's going to be
[39:40] Speaker 1: even better than the previous year's reason number one, I'll
[39:44] Speaker 1: be one of the speakers. It's going to be wild.
[39:46] Speaker 1: I'll probably I'll say this. There may be stuff you
[39:52] Speaker 1: haven't heard anywhere else, because let's just say sometimes it's well,
[39:58] Speaker 1: you just got to be there. We'll leave it that
[40:00] Speaker 1: more about looking for Bigfoot in the Oakridge Woods. Now
[40:03] Speaker 1: check this out. You may know Jason Kenzie from his
[40:08] Speaker 1: documentary series Searching for Sasquatch. Well, this year, you can
[40:13] Speaker 1: not only go to the festival, but you can also
[40:17] Speaker 1: sign up for a track deep in the wild forest
[40:24] Speaker 1: outside of Oakridge with Jason Kenzie to the Bigfoot Spots
[40:29] Speaker 1: to look for Bigfoot. There's only eight spots to sign
[40:33] Speaker 1: up for this, and yes, this will also be filmed
[40:37] Speaker 1: for the next chapter in his documentary series, which is
[40:40] Speaker 1: Searching for Sasquatch. This is a once in a lifetime deal.
[40:43] Speaker 1: It's just trust it's going to be a wild, wild experience.

[41:01] Speaker 1: day pass for the price of a one day pass.
[41:04] Speaker 1: So thanks to Priscilla for giving me that code so
[41:09] Speaker 1: that you guys can can get a little help with
[41:15] Speaker 1: the costs there. Appreciate that, Priscilla. I hope to see
[41:19] Speaker 1: you at the booth in Oakridge this year. We can
[41:23] Speaker 1: talk about your encounter. Was able to talk to so
[41:25] Speaker 1: many people last year and the year before. It is
[41:29] Speaker 1: an incredible time. You're not going to want to miss it,
[41:32] Speaker 1: and I'll see you there. Before we wrap this episode,
[41:36] Speaker 1: I want to say something directly to a very specific
[41:39] Speaker 1: group of listeners. If you're in the military, any branch
[41:43] Speaker 1: or forces, and if you've seen something that no one
[41:46] Speaker 1: can explain, or if you're a National park ranger or
[41:49] Speaker 1: forestry worker who's been told to stay quiet, or if you're
[41:53] Speaker 1: a pilot who's seen something strange down on the ground,
[41:56] Speaker 1: or if you're with the FBI a federal agency, or
[41:59] Speaker 1: working intelligence and you stumbled upon something you're not allowed
[42:03] Speaker 1: to talk about. And if you're a firefighter, paramedic, or
[42:06] Speaker 1: search and rescue responder who's heard screams or found tracks
[42:10] Speaker 1: that didn't make sense. If you're in the logging industry
[42:14] Speaker 1: on a remote oil field, or a trucker with government
[42:17] Speaker 1: contracts and you've had something happen that you've never told
[42:20] Speaker 1: a soul. And if you're a biologist, a wildlife specialist,
[42:24] Speaker 1: or a field researcher under contract who has found evidence
[42:27] Speaker 1: you're not allowed to report. If you're a pastor, a missionary,
[42:31] Speaker 1: or someone on a spiritual retreat and you saw something
[42:34] Speaker 1: that shook your faith, or if you work in the shadows, CIA, NSA,
[42:39] Speaker 1: or anything with clearance and you've seen what the public hasn't,
[42:44] Speaker 1: then I want to talk to you, even if it's anonymous.
[42:49] Speaker 1: You can reach me at Bigfoot Society at gmail dot com.
[42:53] Speaker 1: The world needs to hear what you've been forced to
[42:56] Speaker 1: carry alone, and you're not alone. You've got the story,
[43:02] Speaker 1: We've got the mic. See you in the woods. Thank
[43:06] Speaker 1: you for listening to this episode of the Bigfoot Society podcast.
[43:09] Speaker 1: Every encounter we share reminds us that the world is
[43:11] Speaker 1: bigger and stranger than we think, and that the truth
