A morning dog walk at Dosewallips State Park, Washington turns into an unforgettable encounter when a witness experiences an overwhelming odor, receives a thunderous whoop response, and later discovers what appears to be a family group of Bigfoot tracks. Then we head to Morgan-Monroe State Forest, Indiana, where a longtime researcher shares years of firsthand experiences, including close encounters outside a tent, massive footprints, recorded vocalizations, gifting behavior, and the moments that convinced her these elusive beings are far more intelligent than most people realize. These are thoughtful, detailed eyewitness accounts shared with honesty and respect. If you're fascinated by Bigfoot encounters from some of North America's most active hotspots, this is an episode you won't want to miss. [0:00] Speaker 1: You're listening to Big the Society, and I'm Jeremiah Byron.
[0:03] Speaker 1: In this show, we go beyond the campfire stories to
[0:05] Speaker 1: bring you first hand encounters from people who say they've
[0:08] Speaker 1: seen something impossible. From backwoods trails and remote mountain haulers
[0:12] Speaker 1: to quiet farms and crowded highways. The stories come from everywhere,
[0:16] Speaker 1: and each one leaves us with more questions than answers.
[0:20] Speaker 1: These are the voices of the people who've lived it.
[0:24] Speaker 1: To settle in, because today you'll hear another account that
[0:27] Speaker 1: just might change the way you see the woods forever.
[0:30] Speaker 2: So stay with us.
[0:31] Speaker 1: Please keep Jeremiah in your prayers as he continues his
[0:34] Speaker 1: fight against cancer. For more updates about his medical journey,
[0:38] Speaker 1: please go to the carring Bridge link in the show notes.
[0:42] Speaker 1: Thank you, hi.
[0:43] Speaker 2: Father, How are you? Yes? I Ken? How are you excellent?
[0:47] Speaker 3: Good? Very well? Thank you?
[0:49] Speaker 2: Awesome?
[0:49] Speaker 4: Due?
[0:51] Speaker 2: Yes, I Ken?
[0:51] Speaker 3: How are you excellent?
[0:53] Speaker 2: Good?
[0:53] Speaker 3: Very well? Thank you?
[0:54] Speaker 2: Oh that's so weird. That's a weird. I think we're
[1:01] Speaker 2: good now. Yeah, okay, apologies, you're good. You're good. Feel
[1:06] Speaker 2: free to share what your experience was.
[1:10] Speaker 3: Yeah, excellent. So you actually did a TikTok about my
[1:15] Speaker 3: big foot Mapping Project report on this a few months ago.
[1:18] Speaker 3: Really it was last October. It got about half a
[1:21] Speaker 3: million views and shared on our community page over here.
[1:26] Speaker 3: But I was tickled by that. Actually. So it was
[1:29] Speaker 3: last October on the second, and I was walking dog.
[1:34] Speaker 3: I work a long day, so I have to be
[1:37] Speaker 3: up about four o'clock in the morning, and we walked
[1:40] Speaker 3: through the community well before anyone else is up, and
[1:44] Speaker 3: I was coming around the corner or Cold Sack is
[1:48] Speaker 3: a circle with three streets that kind of cut through
[1:53] Speaker 3: very quiet. We're out in the woods, elk, deer, coyotes,
[1:57] Speaker 3: all the things, and it's just us beautiful morning, and
[2:02] Speaker 3: I smell the most foul stench you can imagine. I
[2:06] Speaker 3: mean all the gross things. Put them in a pile
[2:09] Speaker 3: hot sun, let it cook. That it was foul. It
[2:13] Speaker 3: was everything like rotting flesh, fish, rotten eggs, all kinds
[2:18] Speaker 3: of stuff. My dog perks up. She has a very
[2:20] Speaker 3: high preydrive, so she can smell it too. And as
[2:24] Speaker 3: we get closer, it's behind this home that is these
[2:28] Speaker 3: people come in the summer and it's kind of their
[2:30] Speaker 3: little oasis, so they're not home, and we can can
[2:37] Speaker 3: it just gets stronger and stronger as we get closer,
[2:40] Speaker 3: and I think, is this garbage? Is this an animal
[2:43] Speaker 3: that's dyed? Is this something? What could this be? And
[2:47] Speaker 3: I thought, well, just for fun, why don't you try
[2:50] Speaker 3: a woop bark and see what happens? Just see right,
[2:56] Speaker 3: just one because it is early. Don't be a jerk,
[2:58] Speaker 3: but just give it a shot. So I go, whoa
[3:01] Speaker 3: kind of loud? You know, my hand to god, this
[3:06] Speaker 3: thing woot bark back so loud. I mean it must
[3:11] Speaker 3: have had barrels for lungs and just abs and steel.
[3:16] Speaker 3: It was so loud, like it was mimicking me. Back
[3:19] Speaker 3: to me.
[3:21] Speaker 4: And my dog.
[3:22] Speaker 3: She has, like I said, a high prey drive, so
[3:23] Speaker 3: her ears are fully forward, all the hair on her
[3:26] Speaker 3: back is standing up. I can't believe no one heard
[3:29] Speaker 3: this and was woken up. It was so loud, and
[3:32] Speaker 3: I wanted so bad to go and invest in.
[3:37] Speaker 1: This was U.
[3:40] Speaker 2: Mean, I'll say Washington state, and.
[3:43] Speaker 3: Yes, Washington state on the Olympic Peninsula. And if something
[3:48] Speaker 3: happened to my dog, my fault and I would feel terrible.
[3:52] Speaker 3: And I knew better than to go to the whistles
[3:55] Speaker 3: and go to the root barks, And I said, okay,
[3:58] Speaker 3: you know what this is. Don't play games. Just keep going.
[4:03] Speaker 3: And as we're coming around the corner of the river,
[4:07] Speaker 3: there's a beautiful river and it gets kind of close
[4:09] Speaker 3: to our neighborhood and I can hear the elk clumping
[4:12] Speaker 3: around and they they're not scared of anything, you know,
[4:17] Speaker 3: they could care less about your dog or your truck backfiring.
[4:20] Speaker 3: But they were absolutely terrified. I mean their eyes were
[4:23] Speaker 3: all the way open, neck all the way back, clumped
[4:27] Speaker 3: together really close. So this bigfoot was muff of a
[4:31] Speaker 3: potential predator that they were scared. So that was enough
[4:35] Speaker 3: for me to know I have to go. We cut
[4:38] Speaker 3: our walk shirt, I go home. I go back to
[4:41] Speaker 3: that site, and I said, got to look for evidence.
[4:44] Speaker 3: It's going to rain, any evidence is going to depreciate
[4:47] Speaker 3: or be washed away. Just take a look and see
[4:50] Speaker 3: what you can find. And I find four tracks, one
[4:54] Speaker 3: adult and three juvenile ones. And I cast the right
[5:03] Speaker 3: foot of the juvenile footprint because it was the best.
[5:08] Speaker 3: But I took video of pictures and measurements of everything,
[5:12] Speaker 3: and it was truly like it was truly astonishing how
[5:16] Speaker 3: huge these feet were. How I mean I even looked
[5:20] Speaker 3: at other pictures online I looked at comparisons with Grizzly
[5:23] Speaker 3: Bear and and black Bear. They were no relation to
[5:27] Speaker 3: each other at all. And then the following so, someone
[5:32] Speaker 3: shared your TikTok and all of the store, all of
[5:35] Speaker 3: the comments were either that's a bunch of bull or
[5:39] Speaker 3: pick people sharing their own stories exactly.
[5:43] Speaker 1: I remember that one went nuts in a lot of
[5:46] Speaker 1: it went really crazy. And after that I started looking
[5:50] Speaker 1: into that area more and I was like, oh my goodness,
[5:52] Speaker 1: there's there's stuff all over here, like like Cushman. I mean,
[5:57] Speaker 1: you really just like throw a dart at a map
[6:00] Speaker 1: in that area and it doesn't matter, like it's all
[6:03] Speaker 1: over the place. So you have you have actual track casts.
[6:08] Speaker 3: I do. I have. I have a track cast. I
[6:10] Speaker 3: brought it to the Bigfoot Research convention in that November
[6:13] Speaker 3: and Ocean Shores and showed it to people. And I
[6:16] Speaker 3: hadn't told anyone the story until I went to that convention,
[6:19] Speaker 3: and it was like a safe space to share your
[6:22] Speaker 3: encounter and everyone believes you. So it's kind of being
[6:25] Speaker 3: in a little bubble, but it was. It was fascinating
[6:28] Speaker 3: to hear other people respect who were receptive to me
[6:31] Speaker 3: but also to each other. There are so many amazing stories,
[6:35] Speaker 3: but there were a lot of commonalities. Not everybody smelled
[6:39] Speaker 3: a stench, but there were plenty who did, and it was,
[6:43] Speaker 3: you know, it was quite interesting.
[6:46] Speaker 1: That is it is really cool to actually be able
[6:49] Speaker 1: to talk to you. A lot of these ones. I
[6:51] Speaker 1: never get to talk to the person, like if I
[6:53] Speaker 1: make a video, but every once in a while to
[6:56] Speaker 1: stuff lines up and it is so cool to talk
[6:59] Speaker 1: to you. Have you heard other accounts from that same area.
[7:02] Speaker 3: Oh, yes, yes I have. There was a gentleman who
[7:06] Speaker 3: had a not the best video, but they he had
[7:09] Speaker 3: a off to the side of the road. When you're
[7:11] Speaker 3: looking at the video, you see the dirt road and
[7:14] Speaker 3: then to the left there's this large hairy animal going
[7:17] Speaker 3: back and forth, left and right, backwards and forwards, kind
[7:20] Speaker 3: of shaking behind a bush and you can clearly see it.
[7:23] Speaker 3: But he zooms in on the road like going forward
[7:26] Speaker 3: instead of on the creature, and he goes, oh, there,
[7:30] Speaker 3: he goes up. They're running off now and he run
[7:32] Speaker 3: Apparently it ran off into the bushes. There were several
[7:35] Speaker 3: people who oh I saw two of them up on
[7:38] Speaker 3: Mount Jupiter, or I saw one over over here in
[7:41] Speaker 3: this area, or something like that, but there were there
[7:45] Speaker 3: are others who have said, you know, I've seen something
[7:48] Speaker 3: or I heard something, heard some howls. I also heard
[7:51] Speaker 3: a howl actually the following almost a month to the day.
[7:57] Speaker 3: Just try a howl, and I got an It was
[8:00] Speaker 3: very loud. It was very very long, just a really
[8:05] Speaker 3: loud I wu And we have we have coyotes, but
[8:08] Speaker 3: they don't sound like that, and wolves have been almost
[8:11] Speaker 3: driven to extinction. They're much higher elevations and farther away.
[8:15] Speaker 3: So I think that it was response, if that bigfoot
[8:21] Speaker 3: was responding to me in that morning. But I'm one
[8:24] Speaker 3: hundred percent a believer, and I've done further research Gifford
[8:27] Speaker 3: Pinchot and other areas around that part of where I live,
[8:32] Speaker 3: and there's there's a lot to be seen. There's a
[8:35] Speaker 3: lot of a lot of people who believe, a lot
[8:37] Speaker 3: who don't, but a lot of people who do.
[8:41] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[8:41] Speaker 1: I mean, if you are wanting to get into it,
[8:45] Speaker 1: you you are in the perfect area because like as
[8:48] Speaker 1: you said, I mean Olympic Peninsula, but also Gifford Pinchot
[8:52] Speaker 1: down in Scamania County, and it's so wild you would
[8:58] Speaker 1: you would run out of time in your life probably
[9:02] Speaker 1: trying to go to every place that people talk about
[9:05] Speaker 1: out there. I mean, there's so much, there's so many,
[9:07] Speaker 1: absolutely so much. One last question, so has this put
[9:10] Speaker 1: you on a path to try to figure out what's
[9:15] Speaker 1: going on with this or what is What is your
[9:17] Speaker 1: thoughts about bigfoot after having this experience?
[9:22] Speaker 3: Yeah, I was already a paranormal gater, but it was
[9:25] Speaker 3: ghosts and I just hunting ghosts, and then I thought,
[9:29] Speaker 3: wouldn't it be cool to see this? And I'll tell ya,
[9:34] Speaker 3: I don't think the question is does bigfoot exist? I
[9:37] Speaker 3: think the question is what is bigfoot? Yeah, because it
[9:41] Speaker 3: seems to me that they're mammalian bipedal, of course, but
[9:45] Speaker 3: they seem to hover between this world and another. The
[9:48] Speaker 3: hologram eyes and how they're able to fade away and
[9:52] Speaker 3: disappear and be just enough out of the light that
[9:55] Speaker 3: you don't see them even with a flashlight or a
[9:59] Speaker 3: spotlight or something. They are able to avoid cameras very well,
[10:03] Speaker 3: especially trail cameras, but you can hear them, and they
[10:06] Speaker 3: usually are seen when they're not paying attention, when they're
[10:09] Speaker 3: not being careful, not because you went out hunting for
[10:12] Speaker 3: them necessarily. I think they are highly intelligent, clearly have
[10:18] Speaker 3: a communication a language of their own. I also think
[10:21] Speaker 3: that they're the only animal, if you will, that we
[10:24] Speaker 3: haven't messed with. They're the only species that we haven't
[10:28] Speaker 3: either hunted to extinction or destroyed their natural habitat or
[10:31] Speaker 3: wiped them out. They certainly don't any they don't need
[10:35] Speaker 3: any help from us, and they're not trying to mess
[10:37] Speaker 3: with us, and I don't as a conservationist, I can't
[10:41] Speaker 3: see any reason to go and hunt one or capture
[10:43] Speaker 3: one or any of that nonsense. I think they they
[10:47] Speaker 3: they're respectful of us, and we in turn should be
[10:49] Speaker 3: respectful of them. This is the only one we haven't
[10:51] Speaker 3: screwed up, guys, and it should stay that way.
[10:54] Speaker 2: That's such a good point.
[10:56] Speaker 1: I've never heard anyone bring bring it up that way before,
[10:59] Speaker 1: and it is definitely true. It's it's the one we
[11:03] Speaker 1: haven't really messed up yet, so hopefully continues it continues
[11:07] Speaker 1: to do that. But if you ever have anything else happen,
[11:13] Speaker 1: or any weird experiences out there, I would love to
[11:15] Speaker 1: hear about it. I mean, you've got my email now,
[11:18] Speaker 1: and yeah, it's a Bigfoot Society at your Bigfoot Society
[11:24] Speaker 1: at gmail.
[11:24] Speaker 3: Dot com, Bigfoot dot Society at gmail.
[11:27] Speaker 2: Dot com, just Bigfoot Society at job.
[11:29] Speaker 3: All right, I'll send you that picture.
[11:31] Speaker 2: Awesome.
[11:32] Speaker 1: Well, hey, thank you so much for coming up. I'm
[11:34] Speaker 1: gonna check in with a few other people, but good
[11:36] Speaker 1: look out there and hopefully you've run into some other things.
[11:40] Speaker 3: Thank you for your time.
[11:41] Speaker 4: I've enjoyed.
[11:42] Speaker 3: Bye bye.
[11:46] Speaker 2: Man. That was so cool.
[11:47] Speaker 1: That's why I love TikTok lives is you never know
[11:51] Speaker 1: who you're going to talk to.
[11:53] Speaker 2: Hider, how are you?
[11:55] Speaker 4: I'm good? How are you hey?
[11:57] Speaker 1: Doing well? Thank you for coming up. Feel free to
[11:59] Speaker 1: share what your experience was.
[12:03] Speaker 4: I've had many. I've been kind of thrown into researching
[12:08] Speaker 4: for fourteen years now.
[12:09] Speaker 2: Oh wow.
[12:11] Speaker 4: So instead of before I begin I was one of
[12:14] Speaker 4: those people that thought believers were crazy until one ran
[12:20] Speaker 4: in front of our car like ten feet and it
[12:23] Speaker 4: took me two weeks to even process it in my
[12:27] Speaker 4: brain what I had seen. Because I live in Indiana,
[12:31] Speaker 4: we don't have bears. And if you want to look
[12:36] Speaker 4: up sidings, look up Morgan Monroe State Forest, YEP, because
[12:40] Speaker 4: that's where it was. Yeah. And I started just doing
[12:47] Speaker 4: my own research and started following some people who did
[12:51] Speaker 4: what they call gifting habituation things like that, and I
[12:55] Speaker 4: tried my hand on it with it and it was
[12:58] Speaker 4: very successful for years. So what I'm going to do
[13:00] Speaker 4: is I'm going to take you in the middle. After
[13:03] Speaker 4: I stopped being afraid of them and had a lot
[13:08] Speaker 4: of positive experiences, most of my experiences were always positive
[13:16] Speaker 4: when my ex husband wasn't around. When my ex husband
[13:21] Speaker 4: was around, they tend to like to be scary and
[13:26] Speaker 4: do a lot of screaming and a lot of banging,
[13:28] Speaker 4: But when it was myself or myself and my daughter,
[13:31] Speaker 4: they were always gentle and very protective. So this was
[13:37] Speaker 4: probably the summer of twenty seventeen. My daughter and I
[13:41] Speaker 4: had gone out camping and it was very odded. It
[13:47] Speaker 4: was one of those nights where it was kind of
[13:48] Speaker 4: stormy earlier in the night and everything. So when we
[13:51] Speaker 4: put the tin up, we put up the guy wires
[13:53] Speaker 4: and everything so the tin didn't blow away. And we
[13:56] Speaker 4: had heard a little bit of hunting going on because
[14:00] Speaker 4: you could hear them. It was almost like clockwork. At
[14:04] Speaker 4: a certain time of the night. You would hear at
[14:06] Speaker 4: the female howl. You could hear them move around the
[14:10] Speaker 4: forest in a certain direction, and sometimes you would actually
[14:13] Speaker 4: hear a kill. And we had heard the screaming and
[14:17] Speaker 4: squealing and all, and my daughter was like, no, that's
[14:21] Speaker 4: let's just go to bed. So we went to bed.
[14:23] Speaker 4: It was about three o'clock in the morning. I heard gunshots.
[14:27] Speaker 4: Now this is a forest where they do allow hunting,
[14:31] Speaker 4: but at this particular time there wasn't. It wasn't hunting season,
[14:37] Speaker 4: so of course I sat straight up terrified. My daughter
[14:42] Speaker 4: slept right through it. And that's when I noticed that
[14:47] Speaker 4: somebody had set up camp, because the campground was completely
[14:51] Speaker 4: empty except for my daughter and I. And then somebody
[14:54] Speaker 4: looked like a hiker because they had a very small
[14:57] Speaker 4: tent and kind of saw a light on like they were,
[15:03] Speaker 4: you know, looking at their phone or maybe a computer
[15:06] Speaker 4: or something in the tent. So after I heard the gunshot,
[15:10] Speaker 4: I kind of laid back down, and then I heard
[15:13] Speaker 4: something coming up the ridge. And if you've ever heard
[15:20] Speaker 4: something coming at you like that, that is that large
[15:24] Speaker 4: coming uphill. It just sounded far too big to be
[15:28] Speaker 4: a human. I knew what it was by the time
[15:30] Speaker 4: he stepped up onto the campground, because you know what
[15:37] Speaker 4: tent camping is like. The areas are grassy, it's kind
[15:40] Speaker 4: of like hard packed down dirt, and I could feel it.
[15:45] Speaker 4: He walked around the back of the tent over to
[15:48] Speaker 4: my daughter's side and stood there. I could hear him breathing.
[15:54] Speaker 4: You could almost feel the heat off of him. And
[15:57] Speaker 4: this was this is one of the biggest mains. And
[16:01] Speaker 4: I had visually seen him before on two other occasions,
[16:05] Speaker 4: and we have eighteen and a half inch footprint castings
[16:10] Speaker 4: of him. I have photographs of his footprints. But anyway,
[16:16] Speaker 4: he stood there for a moment, and then as he
[16:18] Speaker 4: walked around the back of the tent, he bumped into
[16:21] Speaker 4: one of the guy wires and pulled the entire corner
[16:25] Speaker 4: of the tent where I was kind of down, and
[16:28] Speaker 4: then it snapped back up like he realized, oh crap,
[16:32] Speaker 4: I'm going to tear the tent down. I had my
[16:35] Speaker 4: window unzipped, and he'd come around and he was standing
[16:41] Speaker 4: right there, and as much as I wasn't afraid of them,
[16:45] Speaker 4: at that point, I couldn't move. I could feel the heat,
[16:50] Speaker 4: I could hear him breathing, and he just stood there,
[16:53] Speaker 4: I guess to make sure we were okay. And then
[16:56] Speaker 4: he walked off and up the road, and I knew
[16:59] Speaker 4: he was heading toward the other camper. So the next morning,
[17:06] Speaker 4: my daughter and I got up. I asked her, I said,
[17:08] Speaker 4: did you hear what went on? I said, you were
[17:11] Speaker 4: sawing logs over there, and she said no. I told
[17:13] Speaker 4: her what happened, and she goes, well, I'm glad I
[17:15] Speaker 4: slept through that. Now she has had sightings before. She
[17:19] Speaker 4: has seen the white one. There are class eight sightings
[17:23] Speaker 4: of a white one there at Morgan Monroe. She has
[17:26] Speaker 4: seen that one. I haven't seen it, but she believes
[17:30] Speaker 4: and everything, but she just still creeps her ound. So
[17:34] Speaker 4: I was telling her about it, and she was like, well,
[17:37] Speaker 4: you know, I hope that person up there is okay.
[17:40] Speaker 4: And so we got packed up and everything, and I
[17:43] Speaker 4: noticed the guy was kind of looking over at us
[17:46] Speaker 4: as we were packing up. So as we were leaving,
[17:50] Speaker 4: I stopped and I said hey, I said, everything okay,
[17:54] Speaker 4: and he said I could you stop for a moment.
[18:00] Speaker 4: So my daughter and I stopped and we approached him,
[18:02] Speaker 4: and he was somebody who just travels from like state
[18:06] Speaker 4: to state and goes hiking, and there are some amazing
[18:13] Speaker 4: trails through Morgan Monroe, and so he said, am I
[18:18] Speaker 4: safe to hike here? And I'm like, what do you mean?
[18:25] Speaker 4: And he said, well, he said something happened last night,
[18:31] Speaker 4: and I thought it was you guys. But now that
[18:34] Speaker 4: I see that you're two very small women, I know
[18:38] Speaker 4: it wasn't you. And I kind of looked at my
[18:40] Speaker 4: daughter and I smiled and I said, so you heard him?
[18:44] Speaker 4: And he said, what do you mean him? And I said,
[18:48] Speaker 4: what happened? And he said that he had heard the gunshots.
[18:53] Speaker 4: No big deal. He said he was watching a movie
[18:55] Speaker 4: on his laptop. And he said he heard something come
[19:00] Speaker 4: through the grass and that walked around his tent and
[19:03] Speaker 4: even had stepped on the oh what do you call it?
[19:07] Speaker 4: He had a tarp underneath this tent and you know
[19:09] Speaker 4: how some of those be kind of crunchy. And he
[19:12] Speaker 4: said he heard that and he said, then he heard
[19:16] Speaker 4: it move off, and he said, I just thought it
[19:18] Speaker 4: was you guys messing around with me. He said, but
[19:21] Speaker 4: I heard howling and weird noises during the night. Am
[19:25] Speaker 4: I am? I losing my mind? I said, no, you're not,
[19:29] Speaker 4: and he said, on my safe here. I said, you're
[19:31] Speaker 4: absolutely safe and he said, is that what I think
[19:34] Speaker 4: it is? I've heard stories about He said, I don't
[19:39] Speaker 4: want to sound crazy, I said, Bigfoot, And he said exactly,
[19:44] Speaker 4: I said yes. I said, we have had many experiences here.
[19:47] Speaker 4: I said, to be honest, I just believe he came
[19:50] Speaker 4: up to check on us, saw you were here and
[19:53] Speaker 4: thought they would check on you too, And he said,
[19:55] Speaker 4: this is this is this is too crazy. He just
[19:58] Speaker 4: he turned white as a sh eat. And I said no,
[20:03] Speaker 4: I said, you are safe. I said, we have been
[20:05] Speaker 4: researching this area for many, many years. I said, we
[20:09] Speaker 4: camp out here by ourselves all the time. We've never
[20:11] Speaker 4: been hurt. I said, We've had a few things thrown
[20:14] Speaker 4: at us from the juveniles, but they've never done anything
[20:17] Speaker 4: to actually hurt us. And I said that that's just
[20:23] Speaker 4: one I have. I've actually written two books about my
[20:26] Speaker 4: experiences because there have been so many.
[20:31] Speaker 2: What's what's the name of one of your books? I
[20:32] Speaker 2: feel like I should know who you are.
[20:34] Speaker 4: Indiana Bigfoot, The Beautiful Mind, and then part two is
[20:40] Speaker 4: Indiana Bigfoot, The Cave and Beyond.
[20:45] Speaker 2: Okay, I've talked to so many people from.
[20:50] Speaker 4: Uh Indian Indian big Foot.
[20:53] Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, I'm going to check those out. I mean,
[20:55] Speaker 1: I talked to quite a bit of people, but.
[20:58] Speaker 4: Yeah, Indiana Bigfoot Research organization. I've been with them since
[21:05] Speaker 4: twenty fourteen, since the first thing Lee Roy and I
[21:09] Speaker 4: Lee Rory Nancy Lee Rory runs it. I've been friends
[21:13] Speaker 4: with him for a long time and I've actually spoken
[21:16] Speaker 4: with him several times and shared my stories. But I
[21:26] Speaker 4: honestly think when we talk about the odor, the smell
[21:30] Speaker 4: that's only happened to me once, and it was during
[21:34] Speaker 4: one of our because we have spring and fall camp
[21:36] Speaker 4: outs and we have a lot of people that come
[21:39] Speaker 4: who've never had experiences before, and I do believe wholeheartedly
[21:45] Speaker 4: it's kind of like a skunk or any animal who
[21:49] Speaker 4: would have a defense mechanism such as an odor. I
[21:52] Speaker 4: think that is something they use as a warning because
[21:58] Speaker 4: I've never smelt it in the times that they have
[22:02] Speaker 4: been close to me, and we have had a lot
[22:05] Speaker 4: of Class A encounters. I honestly believe wholeheartedly that they
[22:11] Speaker 4: will show themselves to people that they believe they can trust,
[22:17] Speaker 4: people who aren't going to go out, And I'm going
[22:19] Speaker 4: to use quotations hunting them, because that's one thing I've
[22:24] Speaker 4: never done. I have never we never really share the
[22:28] Speaker 4: exact location where the vast majority of the things have happened.
[22:36] Speaker 4: There's only one of two other people who know where
[22:39] Speaker 4: my research site was. I have since moved to far
[22:43] Speaker 4: southwestern Indiana and I get back up there whenever I can.
[22:48] Speaker 4: But I have had so many positive experiences, and just
[22:53] Speaker 4: like the last woman said, I will protect them at
[22:58] Speaker 4: all costs. Surete at all costs, because to me, it
[23:03] Speaker 4: seems like almost like they're reaching out even more because
[23:07] Speaker 4: I think experiences are starting to get more and more
[23:10] Speaker 4: popular yep. And I think the state of the world
[23:15] Speaker 4: right now and the way it has been for decades,
[23:22] Speaker 4: it's almost like they're reaching out. Maybe there's something they
[23:25] Speaker 4: have to share with us, something they have to teach us.
[23:28] Speaker 4: I'm not sure, but it just seems being part of
[23:32] Speaker 4: the IBRO, more and more and more people are coming
[23:37] Speaker 4: forward saying, you know, I have this experience. We have
[23:44] Speaker 4: so many people in our group who own private property,
[23:47] Speaker 4: who have them plans that live on their property.
[23:52] Speaker 2: Indiana is so crazy.
[23:55] Speaker 4: I have so many photographs gifts that they have left me,
[24:04] Speaker 4: and I think probably one of the most exciting things
[24:08] Speaker 4: that I have as a recording that was taken about
[24:11] Speaker 4: two thirty in the morning as we were leaving in
[24:13] Speaker 4: the middle of winter and it was almost like they
[24:16] Speaker 4: didn't want us to go. He howled, and then he
[24:19] Speaker 4: begins speaking, and it's about a thirty second clip and
[24:24] Speaker 4: you could hear him very very clearly speaking in of
[24:30] Speaker 4: course the language that almost sounds Native American. And that
[24:36] Speaker 4: is a clip that I have held on to. I've
[24:38] Speaker 4: had it since probably about twenty fifteen and I still
[24:43] Speaker 4: I transfer it phone to phone. I keep it and
[24:47] Speaker 4: it's something that the IBRO proudly plays when they go
[24:52] Speaker 4: to like libraries and speak and things like that's.
[24:54] Speaker 1: Awesome, that is so cool. I talked to a few
[24:59] Speaker 1: people about Morgan Monroe. I think, what is it, I'm
[25:05] Speaker 1: going to mess up his nickname as a squatch man.
[25:09] Speaker 4: I love him to death. I have picture of meet
[25:12] Speaker 4: him and Leroy together. I went to speak at one
[25:16] Speaker 4: of the Spring pampouts and I got to meet squatch man.
[25:19] Speaker 4: I love him to pieces. And Martin. I don't know
[25:22] Speaker 4: if you've ever spoken to Martin. He has the YouTube
[25:26] Speaker 4: channel called I Think It's Camping the Sasquatch.
[25:29] Speaker 2: No, I haven't. I'll need to write that down.
[25:32] Speaker 4: Martin actually took over for me for a while and
[25:38] Speaker 4: I taught him what that particular clan liked as far
[25:43] Speaker 4: as gifts and things like that, and he had very
[25:47] Speaker 4: very positive experiences. But the first night he camped there,
[25:50] Speaker 4: he texted me losing his mind because things were happening
[25:56] Speaker 4: and he's like, I don't know what to do. I
[25:58] Speaker 4: don't know what to do. I said, it's fine, it's fine.
[26:00] Speaker 4: And it was almost like they knew we were communicating
[26:03] Speaker 4: because they calmed down and very positive things started happening
[26:09] Speaker 4: for him. And he did it for several years, camping
[26:13] Speaker 4: on his own. So yeah, we've got a really wonderful group.
[26:19] Speaker 4: IBRO Indiana Bigfoot Research Organization is on. We've got a big, big,
[26:26] Speaker 4: big Facebook group and like I said, we just had
[26:29] Speaker 4: our spring camp out. We have one in Fall and
[26:33] Speaker 4: Leewory Nancy have a little shop that they just opened
[26:36] Speaker 4: in Nashville, Indiana.
[26:39] Speaker 2: Yes, I've seen pictures. Does pretty sweet.
[26:42] Speaker 1: They're one of the weirdest accounts I've taken over the years.
[26:47] Speaker 1: Is actually by Morgan Monroe as a gentleman who was
[26:50] Speaker 1: telling me about an experience he had near Cross School,
[26:54] Speaker 1: which is northeast of Morgan Monroe. It's like a Revolutionary
[26:59] Speaker 1: War summit terry and he was in this cemetery, and
[27:05] Speaker 1: he pretty much saw a nine and a half foot
[27:09] Speaker 1: tall bigfoot. But then after they had a stare down.
[27:12] Speaker 1: The crazy thing is. The wild thing is that it
[27:15] Speaker 1: walked directly into a tree and like disappeared into it,
[27:19] Speaker 1: like Harry Potter, you know, when he walks into that.
[27:22] Speaker 1: But this is the thing I've never heard anywhere else.
[27:27] Speaker 1: A few after a little bit, it came back out
[27:33] Speaker 1: of the tree, but it like back It came backwards
[27:35] Speaker 1: out of the tree, so it like phased back out
[27:38] Speaker 1: of the tree after it phased into it. And I
[27:41] Speaker 1: was like, oh my goodness, this area is nuts. Like
[27:44] Speaker 1: I've never heard anything like that.
[27:46] Speaker 4: So the only I mean, we I have haven't experienced
[27:52] Speaker 4: anything to that degree, although Martin, did I have experienced
[27:58] Speaker 4: mind speak?
[28:00] Speaker 2: Sure?
[28:00] Speaker 4: Yeah, And this was this was something I was like,
[28:03] Speaker 4: I'd listened to people's stories. I listened to people's experience,
[28:06] Speaker 4: and I'm like, that's very interesting. I put it in
[28:08] Speaker 4: the back of my brain and say, I hope this
[28:11] Speaker 4: happens to me. The only thing that I have that
[28:14] Speaker 4: I can't explain is being out in the middle of
[28:18] Speaker 4: the forest pitch black, no lights and hearing the knocks
[28:23] Speaker 4: and whatnot. And then all of a sudden, getting a
[28:24] Speaker 4: flash of light like somebody had flashed an old school
[28:28] Speaker 4: camera in my eyes, just boom. And that's happened three
[28:33] Speaker 4: or four different times. And that's one thing that I
[28:36] Speaker 4: absolutely have no explanation for.
[28:40] Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, that is that is extremely wild. I
[28:46] Speaker 1: just had my first experience with lights down Tennessee, and
[28:50] Speaker 1: its that message with your head. I was not prepared.
[28:54] Speaker 1: I was like, what's happening, and we like put the
[28:56] Speaker 1: light on it, and it's like there were any bugs.
[29:00] Speaker 1: It's like exactly crazy. Is absolutely crazy, man. What I'm
[29:05] Speaker 1: going to check out your your books for sure, Indiana
[29:09] Speaker 1: Bigfoot to Cavin Beyond, it's Edwina Cato Is that right?
[29:13] Speaker 4: Yes, apologus, No, that's my former name.
[29:18] Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, sure sure.
[29:20] Speaker 4: But yeah I wrote those back oh shortly after I
[29:26] Speaker 4: started really having a lot of experiences. And I'm getting
[29:33] Speaker 4: ready to bring both of the books together into one,
[29:37] Speaker 4: and I'm going to kind of look back because now
[29:39] Speaker 4: that I am out of that situation I was in
[29:42] Speaker 4: with my ex it's like hindsight. I'm seeing now why
[29:47] Speaker 4: they acted the way they did whenever he was around.
[29:51] Speaker 4: They didn't like him, and when he had experiences when
[29:55] Speaker 4: he was on his own. They were always terrifying, and
[30:00] Speaker 4: I just believe wholeheartedly they know the type of people
[30:04] Speaker 4: we are. I don't believe they have just this incredible
[30:09] Speaker 4: instinct when it comes to people. So yeah, I would
[30:15] Speaker 4: be honored if you took a look at those. But
[30:18] Speaker 4: you know, I'm not here to sell books. I just
[30:20] Speaker 4: love sharing the stories because I used to not be
[30:23] Speaker 4: a believer at all. I was one of those people
[30:26] Speaker 4: that thought Bigfoot believers were absolutely nuts until it happened,
[30:31] Speaker 4: and they're amazing beings, just incredible.
[30:36] Speaker 1: Thanks and it's life changing. Yes, and thank you for
[30:38] Speaker 1: coming up and sharing and hopefully, hopefully maybe we'll have
[30:43] Speaker 1: another chat someday. It sounds like you have many different
[30:48] Speaker 1: things you've experienced, and that was probably just a small, small.
[30:52] Speaker 4: Yeah, everything from the terrifying to hilarious, because they do
[31:00] Speaker 4: I always I always say, and I'll close with this
[31:04] Speaker 4: is the messing with sasquatch commercials they used to have
[31:06] Speaker 4: on TV. Now it's it's the opposite, because they literally
[31:12] Speaker 4: if they trust you, they will mess with you, especially
[31:17] Speaker 4: the juveniles. Because I had one drop out of a
[31:21] Speaker 4: tree right next to me one night and I nearly
[31:24] Speaker 4: jumped out of my skin while this little stinker ran
[31:28] Speaker 4: down the hill, and I, after being shocked, I laughed
[31:32] Speaker 4: about it because they are jokesters. Once they trust you.
[31:38] Speaker 2: A hundred percent, you hit it right on the head.
[31:42] Speaker 1: But we will, we'll stay in touch on I'm going
[31:45] Speaker 1: to make sure that I follow you on here. But
[31:47] Speaker 1: thank you so much for coming up, and you have
[31:50] Speaker 1: a great rest of yours. I hopefully you can hang
[31:52] Speaker 1: out for a bit, but thank you.
[31:53] Speaker 4: I will absolutely thank you.
[31:56] Speaker 2: You got it.
[31:57] Speaker 4: Bye bye.
[32:00] Speaker 3: Oh.
[32:00] Speaker 1: It's such a great conversation. That area is wild. Nobody
[32:04] Speaker 1: knows about it. Just south of Indianapolis too, it's wild.
[32:12] Speaker 1: Before we wrap this episode, I want to say something
[32:15] Speaker 1: directly to a very specific group of listeners. If you're
[32:18] Speaker 1: in the military, any branch or forces, and if you've
[32:22] Speaker 1: seen something that no one can explain, or if you're
[32:25] Speaker 1: a National park ranger or forestry worker who's been told
[32:28] Speaker 1: to stay quiet, or if you're a pilot who's seen something
[32:32] Speaker 1: strange down on the ground, or if you're with the
[32:35] Speaker 1: FBI a federal agency, or working intelligence and you stumbled
[32:39] Speaker 1: upon something you're not allowed to talk about, and if
[32:41] Speaker 1: you're a firefighter, paramedic, or search and rescue responder who's
[32:45] Speaker 1: heard screams or found tracks that didn't make sense. If
[32:49] Speaker 1: you're in the logging industry on a remote oil field,
[32:52] Speaker 1: or a trucker with government contracts and you've had something
[32:56] Speaker 1: happen that you've never told a soul. And if you're
[32:59] Speaker 1: a biology just a wildlife specialist, or a field researcher
[33:03] Speaker 1: under contract who has found evidence you're not allowed to report.
[33:07] Speaker 1: If you're a pastor, a missionary, or someone on a
[33:09] Speaker 1: spiritual retreat and you saw something that shook your faith,
[33:13] Speaker 1: or if you work in the shadows CIA, NSA or
[33:17] Speaker 1: anything with clearance and you've seen what the public hasn't,
[33:21] Speaker 1: then I want to talk to you, even if it's anonymous.
