[0:00] Speaker 1: You're listening to Bigfoot Society, and I'm Jeremiah Byron. In
[0:03] Speaker 1: this show, we go beyond the campfire stories to bring
[0:05] Speaker 1: you first hand encounters from people who say they've seen
[0:08] Speaker 1: something impossible. From backwoods trails in remote mountain haulers to
[0:12] Speaker 1: quiet farms and crowded highways. The stories come from everywhere,
[0:16] Speaker 1: and each one leaves us with more questions than answers.
[0:20] Speaker 1: These are the voices of the people who've lived it.
[0:24] Speaker 1: To settle in, because today you'll hear another account that
[0:27] Speaker 1: just might change the way you see the woods forever.
[0:30] Speaker 1: So stay with us. Twenty twenty five, What a year.
[0:33] Speaker 1: So much happened, so many incredible adventures for Bigfoot Society.
[0:39] Speaker 1: Got to go out to Oregon again, went out to
[0:42] Speaker 1: the Nebraska big Foot Conference, and also one on a
[0:46] Speaker 1: private expedition in Iowa that was awesome. This being the
[0:50] Speaker 1: first day of twenty twenty six, I've decided to look
[0:55] Speaker 1: back at the top ten viewed episodes for twenty twenty five,
[1:02] Speaker 1: and these are ones that released in twenty twenty five
[1:06] Speaker 1: over on the YouTube platform. It's a great way to
[1:09] Speaker 1: see which ones you guys really liked. So let's start
[1:14] Speaker 1: off with number ten when cops see Bigfoot. And this
[1:21] Speaker 1: is a really fun episode from some friends down in
[1:26] Speaker 1: Northern Georgia, Scott and Shila Granger from Squatch Fishing Outfitters
[1:31] Speaker 1: down there in l J, Georgia. These guys are great,
[1:35] Speaker 1: So let's hang out with Scott and Shiela again as
[1:38] Speaker 1: they share some of the encounters they've had down there
[1:42] Speaker 1: in Northern Georgia that one weekend.
[1:45] Speaker 2: You know, we heard several things. Just if I had
[1:49] Speaker 2: not been there and heard it with my own ears,
[1:52] Speaker 2: somebody could have told me that, I would have thought, man,
[1:54] Speaker 2: you're nuts, you're crazy, or whatever. And you know, I
[1:58] Speaker 2: wanted to believe so bad, I'm so excited about it.
[2:01] Speaker 2: But I kept telling Scott, you know, I'm just I'm
[2:03] Speaker 2: not going to say there's such thing as big until
[2:07] Speaker 2: I see it with my own eyes. And I'm a
[2:08] Speaker 2: one hundred ten percent sure that, you know. That's when
[2:11] Speaker 2: I all admit it, and lo and behold. It was
[2:14] Speaker 2: a few months later. I got the opportunity during the day,
[2:18] Speaker 2: at two o'clock that afternoon, about twenty five yards away,
[2:22] Speaker 2: I saw a bigka And from that point on, I
[2:25] Speaker 2: went from being a believer to a knower. One hundred
[2:27] Speaker 2: and ten percent.
[2:28] Speaker 1: Oh man, it's okay. So there's a lot of stuff
[2:31] Speaker 1: that happened to you guys pretty quick. I want to
[2:35] Speaker 1: I want to hear what kind of vocals you guys
[2:38] Speaker 1: heard on that expedition, Like what kind of things were
[2:40] Speaker 1: you running into?
[2:41] Speaker 3: First?
[2:44] Speaker 2: Do you want to tell him?
[2:45] Speaker 3: Yeah, what happened.
[2:48] Speaker 4: We have a friend that was on this outing whether
[2:51] Speaker 4: us that we had met a good bit prior to
[2:53] Speaker 4: this outing and the night before the actual expedition and started.
[3:01] Speaker 4: We all load up in my truck and we take
[3:04] Speaker 4: off of the woods day. He's want to show us
[3:05] Speaker 4: a couple of different areas. So we're heading up there
[3:09] Speaker 4: and she'll see something go across the road in front
[3:12] Speaker 4: of her, in front of us. Well, when she saw
[3:15] Speaker 4: that go across the road in front of us, you know,
[3:17] Speaker 4: I got on the brakes, stopped, and we all bail
[3:20] Speaker 4: out of my truck. And it's a full At that time,
[3:23] Speaker 4: we had a full size ram, So we had five
[3:25] Speaker 4: people in there, and I'm standing right in front of
[3:30] Speaker 4: the truck and Shela and our friend. He goes on
[3:34] Speaker 4: on up ahead. We're whatever cross the road up there,
[3:37] Speaker 4: we're standing there, we're talking amongst ourselves, and the prettiest
[3:41] Speaker 4: whoop you ever wanted to hear come from less than
[3:45] Speaker 4: fifteen yards away from us, right to the left of us. Well,
[3:49] Speaker 4: we're in an area that we had never been in.
[3:53] Speaker 4: And and I say that telling you about that ram,
[3:56] Speaker 4: because a ram has a good, really good set of
[3:59] Speaker 4: headline on it that shine the way out to the sides.
[4:04] Speaker 4: And I'm looking over there where the swoop come from.
[4:06] Speaker 4: And I looked back at another young lady that's standing
[4:10] Speaker 4: out there beside me. In her eyes are about as
[4:12] Speaker 4: big as saucers, And she said, did.
[4:14] Speaker 5: You hear that?
[4:17] Speaker 3: And I said, of course.
[4:20] Speaker 4: So we're we're looking for it, and uh, never did
[4:22] Speaker 4: see anything, but I mean we got to hear it.
[4:26] Speaker 4: And she and our friend, you know, they're up there.
[4:29] Speaker 4: They're looking for whatever it was crossed the road, and
[4:31] Speaker 4: some limbs are still wiggling in the in the way.
[4:35] Speaker 3: There where it had crossed. After that.
[4:40] Speaker 4: Our buddy, he said, he told us, he said, you know,
[4:44] Speaker 4: he said, these things are up here, pretty pretty thick.
[4:47] Speaker 4: And he says, they they're real good to mimic things. Now,
[4:51] Speaker 4: what I'm fixing to tell you, if there had to
[4:54] Speaker 4: have been five other you know, five of us up
[4:56] Speaker 4: there to witnessed this, I would never tell it.
[5:00] Speaker 2: And if I hadn't hurt myself, I wouldn't have believed it.
[5:03] Speaker 3: See, he gets two rocks.
[5:06] Speaker 4: And he class them together flies and right down from us,
[5:11] Speaker 4: probably not thirty thirty five yards, there's a small stream
[5:14] Speaker 4: running something flax two rocks back twice, and he eggles
[5:22] Speaker 4: a little bit, and he clacks some rocks again two
[5:24] Speaker 4: more times, and right off the bat something down there
[5:28] Speaker 4: clacks those rocks flights.
[5:31] Speaker 3: So he's playing with that a little bit.
[5:33] Speaker 4: And he said, I wonder so he's done the shaven
[5:37] Speaker 4: a haircut deal.
[5:38] Speaker 6: You know that.
[5:39] Speaker 4: Don't don't it, don't don't don't don't clax with those rocks,
[5:44] Speaker 4: And we're all sitting there and this whatever it is,
[5:47] Speaker 4: mimics that back with rock clacks, and at this point
[5:52] Speaker 4: we're all, you know, like an amazement and everything. We
[5:56] Speaker 4: are up here in the middle of absolutely nowhere in
[5:58] Speaker 4: these mountains. There is no other person up here where
[6:01] Speaker 4: we're at the you know, do anything like this back
[6:04] Speaker 4: at us. And then we're all talking and he says,
[6:09] Speaker 4: he tells he's telling us. He says, you know, these
[6:11] Speaker 4: things are extremely over c D about things, and he
[6:15] Speaker 4: does the don't don't, don't, don't, and he doesn't do
[6:19] Speaker 4: it anymore. And down at the creek it goes clack clack.
[6:23] Speaker 3: It finished it, It finished it way yeah.
[6:27] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[6:28] Speaker 4: And I'm telling you, if there happened been as many
[6:31] Speaker 4: people standing there that all heard and witness this, I
[6:34] Speaker 4: would never tell that story.
[6:36] Speaker 2: Yeah. And it's still kind of like people are not
[6:38] Speaker 2: gonna believe this, and I wouldn't believe. I wouldn't blame
[6:41] Speaker 2: them at all.
[6:42] Speaker 4: No, not at all. I mean because if somebody told
[6:44] Speaker 4: me that, you know, right off the bat, my first
[6:45] Speaker 4: thing was saying, he said, I believe your cheese is
[6:48] Speaker 4: just about slipped off your cracker use. But you know
[6:54] Speaker 4: that happened, and uh, we were there to witness that.
[6:57] Speaker 4: And then we go on up the you have to
[7:01] Speaker 4: kind of picture some of these mountain off the way roads.
[7:06] Speaker 4: We get to the top of it and there's kind
[7:08] Speaker 4: of like a cold to sack area there.
[7:10] Speaker 2: Dead end into just nothing but woods.
[7:12] Speaker 4: Yeah, and we get my truck turned around be where
[7:16] Speaker 4: we're pointed out. In the event something does happen, for anything,
[7:19] Speaker 4: we need to get out of there quick. And then
[7:23] Speaker 4: she listening out behind my truck, probably twenty yards away
[7:26] Speaker 4: from my truck and our friend a couple of people
[7:30] Speaker 4: they go on down a little trail. Well we can
[7:34] Speaker 4: see their red head lamps in their thing as they're
[7:36] Speaker 4: going down the trail. As they get on down the
[7:39] Speaker 4: trail out of sight, we noticed this area up here
[7:43] Speaker 4: has like a like a next level down off the
[7:48] Speaker 4: edge of it, something extremely heavy starts walking around this terrace.
[7:54] Speaker 5: Of the stock.
[7:54] Speaker 2: You can feel the percussion and hear it boom boom.
[7:58] Speaker 4: And as this walking, you know, you ain't like something
[8:02] Speaker 4: it's stomping. It was walking so hard, and it gets
[8:05] Speaker 4: around toward the front of our truck, and uh, you
[8:08] Speaker 4: could hear it walk up toward us a little bit.
[8:11] Speaker 4: And I told she lovet that time. I said it's
[8:13] Speaker 4: seize on towards the truck and she was like why,
[8:18] Speaker 4: and I said, well, I don't want whatever this is
[8:22] Speaker 4: to get between us and our vehicles. So we started
[8:26] Speaker 4: easing towards the truck, and uh, our buddy had to
[8:29] Speaker 4: laid his cell phone on record on the hood of
[8:33] Speaker 4: my truck, and as we're easing to the truck, that
[8:36] Speaker 4: phone lights up, and which I didn't think a whole
[8:40] Speaker 4: lot about that at that point in time. It you know,
[8:44] Speaker 4: it wasn't nothing either way to me. But we get
[8:48] Speaker 4: up there and when they get back, I tell him that,
[8:52] Speaker 4: you know, you must have missed a text or something.
[8:53] Speaker 4: You know, your phone lit up. Well he looked, he
[8:58] Speaker 4: looks at the phone. He says, that phone doesn't light
[9:01] Speaker 4: up unless you touch it. And U and he showed
[9:06] Speaker 4: me that that phone doesn't light up, you know, unless
[9:08] Speaker 4: it gets touched, and which was pretty unique, you know,
[9:14] Speaker 4: to say the least. About that point right there, the rest.
[9:18] Speaker 3: Of the weekend went off.
[9:19] Speaker 4: You know, small things happened, and not a whole whole lot.
[9:23] Speaker 2: Well, we had we were this is our first camping,
[9:26] Speaker 2: real big camping. We were brand new to it. But
[9:29] Speaker 2: later that night we were in our tent and heard
[9:36] Speaker 2: I heard something he did to walking across the river
[9:39] Speaker 2: towards our campsite. And you know, I'm like Scott, Scott,
[9:42] Speaker 2: he says, I hear it. I hear it, and it
[9:45] Speaker 2: comes to the little table we had it there. We
[9:47] Speaker 2: had been cooking bacon earlier in the evening, you know,
[9:51] Speaker 2: and you could hear it. You could hear it, and
[9:54] Speaker 2: I'm kind of freaking out over there. And this is
[9:56] Speaker 2: no joke because we had no idea what to spec
[9:59] Speaker 2: I heard outreach over there and unsnap his you know, holster,
[10:03] Speaker 2: which that wouldn't have done any good, I assure you.
[10:06] Speaker 2: And this thing is right beside the tent and it
[10:08] Speaker 2: lets out this bigger like exasperation kind of thing, you know,
[10:12] Speaker 2: and just turned around and started walking off, and again
[10:15] Speaker 2: you could hear the boom boom. Let me tell you something.
[10:18] Speaker 2: I was so scared had that thing touched that tent,
[10:20] Speaker 2: I would have jumped up and ran with tint and everything,
[10:23] Speaker 2: probably laid myself out with a tree. But I was terrified.
[10:28] Speaker 4: But that, you know, that kind of sets up the
[10:30] Speaker 4: tone here. That was our first outing with this.
[10:33] Speaker 2: And they say, you know, once you start down that,
[10:36] Speaker 2: I'm gona tell everybody, if you start down this rabbit hole,
[10:38] Speaker 2: be prepared for more questions you will ever have answers
[10:41] Speaker 2: to either you're going to be addicted to it like
[10:45] Speaker 2: we are, or you're probably never gonna go in the
[10:48] Speaker 2: woods again.
[10:49] Speaker 1: Absolutely yeah, I agree, one hundred percent. Makingness Wow. So
[10:54] Speaker 1: from what you guys had, the way you've been talking,
[10:57] Speaker 1: it sounds like this is this is more of like
[10:59] Speaker 1: a prime of it expedition.
[11:03] Speaker 4: That one was it was and that we went on
[11:07] Speaker 4: and we wound up after that helping that group out a.
[11:14] Speaker 2: Good bit and just going out with friends we'd made
[11:16] Speaker 2: from that group.
[11:18] Speaker 4: And the more we helped out with that group and everything,
[11:22] Speaker 4: the more we've seen how things were going in that group.
[11:26] Speaker 4: And it's a big group and uh, very costly, and
[11:34] Speaker 4: actually had done that for a pretty good while. We
[11:38] Speaker 4: would always have people when people would find out that
[11:40] Speaker 4: we had went on these things and had been on
[11:43] Speaker 4: them things that a lot of folks had a lot
[11:47] Speaker 4: of interest in it and really wanted to go, but
[11:49] Speaker 4: they weren't willing to drop that kind of money on
[11:52] Speaker 4: doing that. And we sit back and we thought about
[11:57] Speaker 4: it for a lot and said, you know what, what
[11:58] Speaker 4: would we actually do when at least four for people
[12:02] Speaker 4: and make it where there's mode as many people there
[12:08] Speaker 4: and you get away with money wise and at least
[12:11] Speaker 4: break even. So we did that and that's how squatch
[12:16] Speaker 4: Fish and Outfitters got more.
[12:17] Speaker 2: It took a while to go over a year and
[12:19] Speaker 2: a half to get everything we needed to give, but
[12:21] Speaker 2: it's pretty much our life now.
[12:23] Speaker 1: Wow, such a fun conversation with Scott and Shila. Those
[12:25] Speaker 1: guys are great. If you want to go out on
[12:29] Speaker 1: an expedition in northern Georgia, reach out to Squatch Fishing Outfitters.
[12:34] Speaker 1: They will treat you right. That's episode seven forty six.
[12:38] Speaker 1: By the way, you're going to want to listen to
[12:40] Speaker 1: the full episode for many, many more encounter stories. Let's
[12:44] Speaker 1: move on to number nine. They're underneath the cabin now.
[12:49] Speaker 1: This is from a good friend, Brian, who currently has
[12:55] Speaker 1: a cabin way out in the woods of Indiana, and
[12:59] Speaker 1: there's a lot, a lot of things that have happened
[13:01] Speaker 1: there over the years. So get ready to hear a
[13:06] Speaker 1: little bit from Brian. And there underneath the cabin episode
[13:12] Speaker 1: number seven thirty.
[13:14] Speaker 7: So I got the living room and Peyton come in there,
[13:17] Speaker 7: and we had, like I said, we had the little
[13:20] Speaker 7: Yorky and they've been tormenting that poor dog.
[13:22] Speaker 5: I mean they would pack on the windows, the doors,
[13:25] Speaker 5: the deck.
[13:26] Speaker 7: The dog was so scared that he slept under my bed.
[13:28] Speaker 7: He used to sleep on the bed with me, and
[13:30] Speaker 7: then he started sleeping under my bed. He wouldn't he
[13:32] Speaker 7: wouldn't come out unless I got up to leave. The
[13:34] Speaker 7: night's when he would come out from under the bed.
[13:36] Speaker 5: Well. I was in the living room.
[13:37] Speaker 7: I was gonna feed him, but he was standing under
[13:40] Speaker 7: the coffee table. He wouldn't he wouldn't come out from
[13:42] Speaker 7: under it, and he kept walking around all stiff leg
[13:45] Speaker 7: and he was like moving his head reeled down real slow,
[13:48] Speaker 7: sniffing the floor, and he would raise his head back
[13:52] Speaker 7: up and the Peyton come in. I said, hey, no,
[13:53] Speaker 7: there's something wrong with Easton here. He's not watching me.
[13:56] Speaker 7: And Peyton tried to get him come up to him,
[13:58] Speaker 7: and he wouldn't. He wouldn't leave the coffee table. And
[14:01] Speaker 7: I told Peyt and I said, well, just shut the door,
[14:03] Speaker 7: because you know the patio door. I said, maybe some's
[14:07] Speaker 7: out there. He's sensing something. He might be smelling because
[14:09] Speaker 7: he knew they were there. Like I got videos of
[14:12] Speaker 7: him looking out the window and barking and growling, and
[14:15] Speaker 7: there's nothing out there that we could see.
[14:17] Speaker 5: Peyton got it up. He went to go slide the
[14:18] Speaker 5: patio door shut, and then all.
[14:20] Speaker 7: Of a sudden, we heard this loud, screeching scream from
[14:23] Speaker 7: under our cabin. Because, like I said, our cabin's up
[14:26] Speaker 7: off the ground and it's all open down there, but
[14:29] Speaker 7: we heard this loud screech, like scream, roar all together.
[14:34] Speaker 7: And once they just did it and it lasted for
[14:36] Speaker 7: about three seconds, and Peyton went out and he shut
[14:40] Speaker 7: the door. You know that he kind of scared him.
[14:42] Speaker 7: Him and me both we're like, what was that? And
[14:45] Speaker 7: then it scared Easton so bad that he stood there
[14:47] Speaker 7: and proved himself.
[14:49] Speaker 5: And I felt really bad.
[14:50] Speaker 7: I only had Easton for a week, so we cleaned
[14:53] Speaker 7: him up and I told hey, I had to get
[14:56] Speaker 7: him away to somebody.
[14:57] Speaker 5: So I called a friend and she took him. Peyton
[14:59] Speaker 5: left and Paston there.
[15:01] Speaker 7: And then when Peyton got back, he come in said,
[15:04] Speaker 7: I've been there's a really bad smell outside.
[15:07] Speaker 5: I said, yeah, I know, I've been smelling too.
[15:08] Speaker 7: I don't know if it's ser or what it is,
[15:11] Speaker 7: and we've never smelled it before. And the smell after
[15:14] Speaker 7: Peyton said that, the smell was gone within probably ten minutes.
[15:18] Speaker 7: That was the only time we've ever smelled them was
[15:21] Speaker 7: that one time, and that's because they were right up
[15:23] Speaker 7: under the house. After we got rid of Instant, the
[15:25] Speaker 7: activity at the house stopped as far as them hitting
[15:28] Speaker 7: the house or trying to scare us.
[15:32] Speaker 5: I don't know if they were.
[15:33] Speaker 7: Somebody said they were trying to intimidate us to see
[15:35] Speaker 7: what we would do if we would come out shooting
[15:38] Speaker 7: or you know, move or whatever. But we didn't really
[15:42] Speaker 7: ignore them. We just we just what can you do?
[15:45] Speaker 8: You know?
[15:47] Speaker 7: But I would hear laughing, like I've got recordings of
[15:51] Speaker 7: laughing like a baby laughing and rock clacking in these
[15:56] Speaker 7: woo sounds, you know, kind of whispery woo sounds down
[16:00] Speaker 7: the down the creek. I think that I think the
[16:02] Speaker 7: only reason they made another reason why they made their stuff.
[16:05] Speaker 5: No one, like I said it was because I was
[16:06] Speaker 5: doing all the shooting.
[16:13] Speaker 7: See, like then the BFR come out, not the BFR
[16:16] Speaker 7: OL they came out later, but the Indiana BFRL came out.
[16:20] Speaker 7: And we walked the woods and stuff, and we found prints.
[16:22] Speaker 7: They casted two of them, and we've seen a really
[16:26] Speaker 7: nice one. But it only looked like a maybe a
[16:28] Speaker 7: juvenile size, about twelve inches, but it was real wide,
[16:32] Speaker 7: but it wasn't deep enough to cast. But he noticed
[16:35] Speaker 7: these structures that I didn't even notice. I mean, he
[16:39] Speaker 7: was telling me, yeah, this land didn't come you know,
[16:41] Speaker 7: it's been forced here, you know, on the grounded up
[16:43] Speaker 7: on the tree. You can see where it scratched the
[16:45] Speaker 7: tree where they forced it down, and we found other
[16:48] Speaker 7: structures back in the woods that I didn't know was there.
[16:54] Speaker 7: So they He did his little podcast that evening and
[16:57] Speaker 7: he was like really happy about what he's seen. And
[17:00] Speaker 7: then we had another group come out in September. It
[17:05] Speaker 7: had a be a far old member and a lot
[17:08] Speaker 7: of other researchers that he invited from different states and
[17:11] Speaker 7: they all came out and camped.
[17:12] Speaker 5: We had a ssydecheick out there.
[17:14] Speaker 7: They camped for four days and or four nights, and
[17:18] Speaker 7: the last night we had a bonfire and we were
[17:21] Speaker 7: all just sitting out there talking. Baiton had some friends over,
[17:24] Speaker 7: you know, we were all just out there talking and
[17:26] Speaker 7: telling them stories. And I kept hearing something behind me,
[17:29] Speaker 7: and one of the researchers, you know, he was hearing
[17:31] Speaker 7: it too, and so I would take my phone and
[17:35] Speaker 7: see if I could scan the area and get a
[17:36] Speaker 7: picture or but I couldn't see anything on one video,
[17:40] Speaker 7: and so I put it on photo my iPhone fifteen,
[17:43] Speaker 7: and it was I don't know how, but it seasoned
[17:45] Speaker 7: the dark and it picked up this portal and nobody
[17:49] Speaker 7: you couldn't see it with your own eyes. It picked
[17:52] Speaker 7: up a portal and something walking through it, and I
[17:54] Speaker 7: took a picture of it, and well, I showed it
[17:58] Speaker 7: everybody and they were like, amazing, where'd you take this picture?
[18:01] Speaker 7: And it's you know, thirty yards from us, right there
[18:03] Speaker 7: by the trail, and so they all were happy to
[18:08] Speaker 7: see that. And they end up, you know, leaving after
[18:13] Speaker 7: about five days of being there. And then I started
[18:18] Speaker 7: noticing these things in the trees, these lights, and they
[18:23] Speaker 7: had a metal some kind of metal top with a
[18:28] Speaker 7: red light and they're stuck real high up in the tree,
[18:31] Speaker 7: about thirty forty feet up in the tree.
[18:34] Speaker 5: And I would when I noticed it, I would take
[18:36] Speaker 5: a picture of it, and.
[18:37] Speaker 7: Then I would live. You know, my friend want of
[18:39] Speaker 7: them the research as lugs. I've been in contact with
[18:41] Speaker 7: him ever since they've been out there, and I would
[18:43] Speaker 7: send in the pictures. He's like, go out and take
[18:45] Speaker 7: another one. So I go out the next ding and
[18:47] Speaker 7: take another one that's gone. But I did this like
[18:49] Speaker 7: four times, and four different times. It's four different lights
[18:52] Speaker 7: in different trees, but they were all the same light,
[18:55] Speaker 7: just different positions. And then I started notsing these other
[19:00] Speaker 7: things when I would walk the trail and come back.
[19:03] Speaker 7: I would notice a new nest. They're like, they build
[19:06] Speaker 7: this great, big, massive, long nest out of tree tops,
[19:09] Speaker 7: and they had these lights or not lights but camera
[19:13] Speaker 7: looking things strapped to the trees. There literally be straps
[19:16] Speaker 7: on them. They'll be like four or five of them
[19:17] Speaker 7: out there circling the nest, and I thought, man, what
[19:21] Speaker 7: is that. That's that's nothing I put up, and that's
[19:23] Speaker 7: never been here before. But once I every time I
[19:26] Speaker 7: notice them, the next day they're gone. I wouldn't see
[19:29] Speaker 7: them again. I still see the technology every now and again.
[19:32] Speaker 7: They I get pictures of them, and the bigfoots are
[19:36] Speaker 7: holding some kind of white cube with a black line
[19:41] Speaker 7: going through the middle of it. Sometimes they'll be I've
[19:43] Speaker 7: seen one have a round one and it looks like
[19:45] Speaker 7: a round security camera. It just a round white ball
[19:50] Speaker 7: with a black lens in it, and they would hold
[19:52] Speaker 7: it in their hand and hold it towards me, and
[19:55] Speaker 7: they would look down their arm like kind of like
[19:57] Speaker 7: in trying to stay in line of sight while they're
[20:00] Speaker 7: holding it towards me as I'm taking their picture. I
[20:02] Speaker 7: don't know if that's something they're using to distort my
[20:06] Speaker 7: camera or on my phone, or or if they're looking
[20:09] Speaker 7: at me closer to that.
[20:10] Speaker 5: I have no idea what it's for, but I've.
[20:13] Speaker 7: Seen a lot of them have that, and every time
[20:17] Speaker 7: I go to take a picture, I might get one
[20:20] Speaker 7: picture of them without holding that thing, but the second
[20:22] Speaker 7: picture they're holding a debt like they're just they're like
[20:26] Speaker 7: they're gonna try to zap my phone or something. Because
[20:28] Speaker 7: they have that. My androids so much that I can't.
[20:30] Speaker 7: I couldn't even use it anymore. It would literally just
[20:33] Speaker 7: switch pages or tabs. It would just swipe like on
[20:38] Speaker 7: its own side to side or that it would glit
[20:40] Speaker 7: you out and have lines going all through it.
[20:43] Speaker 5: So I end up just not using that head to
[20:45] Speaker 5: buy the iPhone like right now.
[20:50] Speaker 7: They they don't even make an effort in hiding. I
[20:54] Speaker 7: see them every day, especially when I burn trash. I
[20:58] Speaker 7: go out there and they just they they'll raise up
[21:00] Speaker 7: out of their nests and look at me. There's some
[21:03] Speaker 7: nests out count you know, and you were from ten
[21:05] Speaker 7: to fifteen of them. But I've got over a dozen
[21:08] Speaker 7: nests out there in my woods, and I had it logged.
[21:12] Speaker 5: I'm sorry.
[21:12] Speaker 7: Right before June the twentieth, before I seen the first one.
[21:16] Speaker 5: They I just had it logged.
[21:20] Speaker 7: I take that back as after June the twentieth, Right
[21:22] Speaker 7: after June twentieth, I had it logged, and that's when
[21:26] Speaker 7: they got all the tree tops. They start dragging these
[21:28] Speaker 7: tree tops into the clearing of the woods there and
[21:32] Speaker 7: make these huge giant nests.
[21:33] Speaker 5: Out of them.
[21:35] Speaker 7: There's like little ditches, they're kind of like rain runoffs,
[21:40] Speaker 7: like groove down into the ground, like I call them
[21:43] Speaker 7: drained ditches, but it's natural from the water run down
[21:46] Speaker 7: the hill towards the creek.
[21:48] Speaker 5: But they would build a nest right over top of those.
[21:50] Speaker 5: It's just kind of to me.
[21:51] Speaker 7: I think they dig them out even deeper and they
[21:55] Speaker 7: just lived there. But they're building like they build a
[21:58] Speaker 7: new nest today that I've seen this morning. It's just
[22:01] Speaker 7: crazy on how many of their building and I've counted
[22:04] Speaker 7: probably over one hundred of them there at one time
[22:06] Speaker 7: during Deer season last year. I think ever since I
[22:11] Speaker 7: told them they were safe there, they got the word
[22:13] Speaker 7: out there every other one.
[22:15] Speaker 1: Brian's story is incredible. It makes me want to go
[22:17] Speaker 1: and listen to the whole episode right now, But I'm
[22:19] Speaker 1: not gonna up because we got we got more to
[22:22] Speaker 1: go through for the top ten, but you guys can
[22:24] Speaker 1: check it out. It's it's number seven thirty, and I
[22:27] Speaker 1: would recommend you do because in that YouTube version of
[22:33] Speaker 1: seven thirty there's a ton of photos and videos from
[22:36] Speaker 1: Brian at the end of the episode that you're not
[22:38] Speaker 1: going to want to miss, So definitely go check that out.
[22:41] Speaker 1: Let's continue with number eight forty years of Bigfoot in Missouri,
[22:46] Speaker 1: number six forty four. In this episode, we hear from Tracy,
[22:52] Speaker 1: who's a lifelong outdoorsman down there in southern Missouri around
[22:56] Speaker 1: the Rawla, Missouri area, Montak State Park, Tomsock Mountain, Howell County.
[23:03] Speaker 1: There's a ton of stuff in this one. If you're
[23:05] Speaker 1: into Missouri bigfoot encounters, you're not going to want to
[23:08] Speaker 1: miss it. And a lot of people loved it. So
[23:10] Speaker 1: let's hear a little clip from number six forty four,
[23:16] Speaker 1: forty years of Bigfoot in Missouri.
[23:18] Speaker 9: I would have been like fourteen fifteen years old at
[23:21] Speaker 9: the time, probably maybe sixteen. We had a pond right
[23:25] Speaker 9: beside our house. I'd say it was probably a quarter
[23:29] Speaker 9: to a half acre pond, and it wasn't on our property,
[23:34] Speaker 9: but we used it all the time. There's absentee owners
[23:37] Speaker 9: or whatever. And where we approached it on our property
[23:41] Speaker 9: was just like our yard, which was semi wooded, but
[23:45] Speaker 9: about half of it was like very thickly covered, like
[23:49] Speaker 9: with cedar trees and the dense brush. You couldn't really
[23:52] Speaker 9: see through that. And there was a house over on
[23:56] Speaker 9: that side, but it was real thick woods through there,
[23:58] Speaker 9: maybe about fifty yards cards and that behind that pond
[24:04] Speaker 9: was the general area I think that roor had come from.
[24:07] Speaker 9: And then behind it there's maybe a six seven foot
[24:11] Speaker 9: dam on that pond, like earth and dam. Then behind
[24:15] Speaker 9: it was like about a five acre lake. And I
[24:20] Speaker 9: had gone through there quite a bit, but after we
[24:23] Speaker 9: had heard that roar, I hadn't gone through there anymore
[24:26] Speaker 9: because I figured that's where that roar had come from.
[24:30] Speaker 9: And I don't know, I was feeling cocky on this
[24:33] Speaker 9: particular day or something, and I decided I would go
[24:36] Speaker 9: back there. And I had a twenty two pistol with
[24:39] Speaker 9: me in my hand. I was always hunting rabbits or something.
[24:45] Speaker 9: And while I was walking through there, I got about halfway.
[24:51] Speaker 9: I never saw anything. I never heard anything. I just
[24:54] Speaker 9: became paralyzed with fear. It was like my lizard brain
[25:00] Speaker 9: just shut my body off. And I've heard people talk
[25:04] Speaker 9: about getting hit with infrasound and a lot of times
[25:08] Speaker 9: and not paralyzing you, but a lot of times it
[25:11] Speaker 9: comes with stomach cramps or something. I never felt in
[25:13] Speaker 9: you that I just couldn't move. And I don't know how.
[25:20] Speaker 10: Long that went on for.
[25:22] Speaker 9: I don't have any kind of estimate, but it got
[25:27] Speaker 9: more intense, and I felt like it was coming from
[25:30] Speaker 9: behind me. Something was coming from behind me, and I
[25:36] Speaker 9: just heard this voice that said, shoot the gun. And
[25:41] Speaker 9: I was able to click the safety off and pull
[25:43] Speaker 9: the trigger, and the gun went off, and pretty much
[25:51] Speaker 9: immediately all that dissipated the fear. I was able to
[25:55] Speaker 9: clear my head and move again. But I was mad
[25:58] Speaker 9: at myself because I had I wasn't even able to
[26:01] Speaker 9: look down to see if I was going to shoot
[26:03] Speaker 9: myself in the foot or not. That's like how intense
[26:06] Speaker 9: that paralyzation was. It's like I was really good on
[26:12] Speaker 9: the firearm safety into things, but like I felt that
[26:15] Speaker 9: I needed to do something and I just didn't have
[26:20] Speaker 9: the ability to do it like what I would consider safely.
[26:24] Speaker 9: But the firing of the gun made all that dissipate,
[26:28] Speaker 9: and in thinking about that later, I felt like something
[26:33] Speaker 9: was doing that to me. And once I fired the gun,
[26:37] Speaker 9: it scared it off because it was like.
[26:39] Speaker 6: An immediate dissipation of what was going on.
[26:43] Speaker 9: And I hurried up and got out of there and
[26:45] Speaker 9: never went back there again. But I always thought the
[26:49] Speaker 9: psychology of want hampen there was interesting because I was
[26:53] Speaker 9: very logical minded, even by the teenager. And for your
[26:57] Speaker 9: brain to tell you don't move, which is the signal
[27:03] Speaker 9: I was getting don't move or it'll see you when
[27:06] Speaker 9: you're completely out in the open, like anything can see you,
[27:11] Speaker 9: is weird to me, but that was what was going on.
[27:14] Speaker 9: My brain was saying, don't move or it'll see you.
[27:18] Speaker 9: But I'm like not obscured in any way. That almost
[27:21] Speaker 9: tells me that these things have some sort of and
[27:24] Speaker 9: I don't know if it's infra sound, but I almost
[27:26] Speaker 9: theorize they have some sort of other ability, like a
[27:29] Speaker 9: mental energy prediction or something like that that they can do.
[27:34] Speaker 9: And I've got more on that later, but that's the
[27:37] Speaker 9: end of what I had for that location. We had
[27:41] Speaker 9: moved in closer to town and I didn't really have
[27:45] Speaker 9: any more experiences like that.
[27:48] Speaker 8: Until about two thousand and six.
[27:50] Speaker 1: Talk about those childhood years for a little bit longer.
[27:55] Speaker 1: There's some really interesting things to happen in those years.
[27:58] Speaker 1: For sure. To did they tell you how big that
[28:01] Speaker 1: footprint was that they saw right outside the window?
[28:06] Speaker 9: I they were just going for memory, but I did ask.
[28:11] Speaker 9: I said what. I was like, did it have boots on?
[28:14] Speaker 9: Was it like a guy? And then they said no,
[28:16] Speaker 9: it was barefooted. I asked how many toes? And my
[28:20] Speaker 9: sister was just like, I guess five. So it really
[28:24] Speaker 9: wasn't like really set in the memory. It was just
[28:27] Speaker 9: the general. But I was like, was it big? And
[28:31] Speaker 9: she was like, oh yeah. She said my dad had
[28:34] Speaker 9: gone out and put his foot in it, and it
[28:35] Speaker 9: was like pretty much dwarfed it. And it wasn't like
[28:39] Speaker 9: it was an old print.
[28:40] Speaker 8: It had to have happened overnight.
[28:42] Speaker 9: And I then asked, I was like, do you think
[28:46] Speaker 9: I was like, the snow wasn't that deep, But I
[28:48] Speaker 9: was like, do you think it could have been somebody
[28:50] Speaker 9: with snowshoes on? Or when snowshoes aren't really worn down
[28:54] Speaker 9: here in Missouri, we don't really ever get that deep
[28:56] Speaker 9: a snow really, right, And so I was trying to
[28:59] Speaker 9: like at least get rid of all the possibilities, but
[29:04] Speaker 9: it sounded like, who's got a really big foot? Run
[29:07] Speaker 9: around barefooted in snow in the winter.
[29:10] Speaker 1: Absolutely, that is so strange, Especially back then you didn't
[29:14] Speaker 1: have to worry about people that were wearing like those
[29:17] Speaker 1: vibrum shoes that it makes you look clear right barefooted. Right,
[29:22] Speaker 1: they were not around, I believe at that time in history.
[29:25] Speaker 1: Do you still keep up to date with the area
[29:27] Speaker 1: that house was in?
[29:29] Speaker 5: No, I don't have.
[29:30] Speaker 9: When we're in the area, go buy it occasionally just
[29:34] Speaker 9: for old times sake memories. When my older sister lives
[29:37] Speaker 9: in Pennsylvania now and when she comes back, we might
[29:40] Speaker 9: go buy it. But now we live far away from it,
[29:43] Speaker 9: so we've gone by it a few times over the years,
[29:47] Speaker 9: but don't really know anything about what's going on, other
[29:51] Speaker 9: than the fact that a lot of people have moved in,
[29:53] Speaker 9: so it's not nearly as it's less sparsely.
[29:57] Speaker 6: Populated than it used to be.
[29:58] Speaker 9: Okay, that kind of makes me that there's as much
[30:01] Speaker 9: activity as there used to be.
[30:02] Speaker 1: The stories that Tracy shared in that episode about southern
[30:05] Speaker 1: Missouri are incredible. You're not going to want to miss it.
[30:09] Speaker 1: It's pretty wild. There's almost two hours long. Let's head
[30:13] Speaker 1: on to our next episode down the line, We're going
[30:16] Speaker 1: all the way to number one. Next up is number seven,
[30:20] Speaker 1: The Rangers Confession. This is episode number eight fifty three.
[30:24] Speaker 1: I talked to John, who was a former PG and
[30:28] Speaker 1: E affiliated ranger who spent three summers in the remote
[30:32] Speaker 1: Blue Lakes region of northern California. And what John encountered
[30:36] Speaker 1: during these summers are pretty wild. So let's check it out.
[30:42] Speaker 8: In the summer of eighty two, eighty three, and eighty four,
[30:47] Speaker 8: I worked for a company called Multiple Use Management, and
[30:50] Speaker 8: we were basically campground rangers for PG and E campgrounds.
[30:54] Speaker 8: So they would start me off in northern California at
[30:57] Speaker 8: Lake Spaulding at the five thousand foot elevation, and I
[31:00] Speaker 8: would stay there and open up that campground, and then
[31:03] Speaker 8: when the snow melted, they would move me up to
[31:05] Speaker 8: Blue Lakes at eight thousand feet elevation. And so this
[31:10] Speaker 8: is dealing with the Blue Lakes area, which is a
[31:15] Speaker 8: four lake complex on four wheel drive roads that go
[31:20] Speaker 8: each direction of it. And I guess I'll start with
[31:25] Speaker 8: I believe it would be the summer of eighty three
[31:30] Speaker 8: and again. At this time, I didn't believe that big
[31:33] Speaker 8: foot were here. But I'm a curious guy and I've
[31:36] Speaker 8: always had an interest in the topic, and I interviewed
[31:39] Speaker 8: everybody about it because I was fishing for information, trying
[31:43] Speaker 8: to fill in the dots. So I got a lot
[31:46] Speaker 8: of information over the three years, talking to so many
[31:49] Speaker 8: people on a daily basis. But I was fishing. One morning,
[31:52] Speaker 8: I got out before daybreak because I wanted to float
[31:57] Speaker 8: a nightcrawler on top and catch me a big brown
[32:00] Speaker 8: up in upper blue. And the road goes right alongside
[32:03] Speaker 8: the lake, and it's a fairly decent sized lake. It
[32:06] Speaker 8: was a really calm morning, not a ripple on the water.
[32:09] Speaker 8: You could hear, you could hear a noise would travel
[32:13] Speaker 8: a mile. You could hear small noises really well. But
[32:17] Speaker 8: as the light started getting a little bit lighter and lighter,
[32:21] Speaker 8: I had noticed a figure on the opposite side of
[32:23] Speaker 8: the lake. And there's quite a bit of distance involved,
[32:27] Speaker 8: but the figure was all black from head to toe,
[32:31] Speaker 8: and I figured it was just a guy in a
[32:33] Speaker 8: hoodie that it was fishing on the opposite side of
[32:36] Speaker 8: the lake. Again, I didn't really believe that bigfoot were
[32:40] Speaker 8: part of the of this area.
[32:43] Speaker 5: I figured they were.
[32:44] Speaker 8: All up north, further up, you know, above Mount Shasta,
[32:46] Speaker 8: in the coastal area. Anyway, so I sit there and
[32:51] Speaker 8: watched the thing a little bit. I wasn't really focusing
[32:54] Speaker 8: on it too much because I thought it was just
[32:55] Speaker 8: another fisherman. But I watched it for the whole event
[33:00] Speaker 8: was probably forty forty five minutes. And what it was,
[33:05] Speaker 8: it almost looked like it was mimicking a fisherman. And again,
[33:09] Speaker 8: you know, it looked like it had a stick in
[33:11] Speaker 8: his hand, and you could see enough detail. You couldn't
[33:15] Speaker 8: see facial details, but you could see the body outlined fine,
[33:19] Speaker 8: and it looked like it was waving a stick and
[33:22] Speaker 8: playing in the water with it. And I thought maybe
[33:24] Speaker 8: it was just a fisherman that had gotten his line stuck,
[33:28] Speaker 8: you know, I was trying to get the lure out
[33:29] Speaker 8: of the roots or trees. But it almost looked like
[33:32] Speaker 8: for a while there. But then what was weird was
[33:35] Speaker 8: about twenty nine degrees that morning, and I had a
[33:38] Speaker 8: north faced gore text parka on and a down jacket
[33:42] Speaker 8: underneath that, and I was sitting on an ice chest
[33:45] Speaker 8: and my butt was freezing and the ground was slightly
[33:47] Speaker 8: damp all around the lake from the morning dew, and
[33:51] Speaker 8: this thing had laid on its belly and was running
[33:56] Speaker 8: the stick around in the water or fishing pole if
[33:58] Speaker 8: it was a fisherman. And this went on for maybe
[34:03] Speaker 8: five ten minutes, and I couldn't see how. I go, man,
[34:05] Speaker 8: that guy's freaking I don't know how he's doing it,
[34:07] Speaker 8: because I was freezing my butt off, just sitting on
[34:09] Speaker 8: a small, little igloo ice chest. And I really didn't
[34:15] Speaker 8: think much about it, didn't even you know, it didn't
[34:18] Speaker 8: even question my mind that this even could be a bigfoot.
[34:22] Speaker 8: And then the weirdest thing happened while I was watching it.
[34:26] Speaker 8: It got in a crab position where it was on
[34:29] Speaker 8: its back and then it had its you know, its
[34:33] Speaker 8: knees and its hands down below, like in a crab walk,
[34:36] Speaker 8: and it moved across this boulder in one fluid move
[34:41] Speaker 8: in the crab position and moved across the top.
[34:43] Speaker 3: Of the rock.
[34:44] Speaker 8: And this was a huge rock and it, I mean,
[34:47] Speaker 8: it was just so smooth and houzzle. Holy crap, that's
[34:51] Speaker 8: not even human. And I go, well, if I ever
[34:54] Speaker 8: find out there's bigfoot in this area of California, that's
[34:57] Speaker 8: a bigfoot, because it sure wasn't human. Thought more about
[35:00] Speaker 8: it again, and so I'd beaten every other fisherman out
[35:05] Speaker 8: in the lake this morning, and on the far side
[35:08] Speaker 8: of the lake about a mile away. Maybe if that
[35:11] Speaker 8: I don't know, it sounds about right. But you could
[35:14] Speaker 8: hear the two old men coming down to get in
[35:17] Speaker 8: their little trolling a luninin boat and start trolling, and
[35:22] Speaker 8: you could hear them. It was so calm out. You
[35:24] Speaker 8: could hear the fishing poles laying in the bottom of
[35:26] Speaker 8: the luniman boat and you could hear us they set
[35:29] Speaker 8: their ice chest in it, you know, because the sound
[35:32] Speaker 8: was just being carried across the lake with no breeze
[35:34] Speaker 8: or anything. And you could hear them as they tried
[35:39] Speaker 8: to start the motor. And the second that motor fired up,
[35:42] Speaker 8: this thing was gone in the bushes and had disappeared.
[35:47] Speaker 8: And so that pretty much covers That was the strangeness
[35:51] Speaker 8: of it was how this was, you know, only about
[35:55] Speaker 8: a half an hour into daylight. So it was just
[36:00] Speaker 8: kind of weird. The way the crab walking position was
[36:04] Speaker 8: definitely not something I was very physically fit. I was
[36:07] Speaker 8: running five to ten miles a day at eight thousand
[36:11] Speaker 8: feet and training for boxing and the movement it did.
[36:16] Speaker 8: And I'm kind of a tall, lanky, wiry guy, and
[36:20] Speaker 8: the movement it did was not something I could ever
[36:22] Speaker 8: achieve or even come close to. So I again, I
[36:27] Speaker 8: never thought it was a sasquatch up until later years,
[36:30] Speaker 8: and then I saw a I believe it was Russ
[36:34] Speaker 8: Jones talking about an incident where the girls that had
[36:39] Speaker 8: dropped the earring and the thing bent over backwards in
[36:43] Speaker 8: that crab position, and that's when I decided to give
[36:46] Speaker 8: you a call and share what I viewed that morning.
[36:50] Speaker 8: That money. Now, there's a lot of different things. Over
[36:54] Speaker 8: the three years, I probably talked to nine different people
[36:57] Speaker 8: that didn't know each other and all had different stories.
[37:01] Speaker 8: So there was as you come into lower Blue on
[37:04] Speaker 8: the left, there was a little pond, it's called frog pond.
[37:07] Speaker 5: I did have.
[37:08] Speaker 8: One of the campers had told me that, yeah, yeah,
[37:11] Speaker 8: they knew somebody that had saw one cross the road
[37:14] Speaker 8: right there. Again, I never took it seriously or but
[37:18] Speaker 8: it was just information I put in my cap. There
[37:21] Speaker 8: was also we had my dad worked for PGN and
[37:24] Speaker 8: he was the lake tender there and he got me
[37:26] Speaker 8: the job camping there. So we knew. We talked all
[37:29] Speaker 8: the PG and E guys, and one of the helicopter
[37:32] Speaker 8: pilots that would fly in we were talking to him
[37:36] Speaker 8: and he said one winter, and he didn't tell me
[37:40] Speaker 8: what the date was or what year or anything like that,
[37:43] Speaker 8: but he said he flew in there when the snow
[37:45] Speaker 8: is thirty feet deep, which is probably about five feet
[37:49] Speaker 8: over the chimney stack of the highest cabin that was there,
[37:56] Speaker 8: so the cabins were completely submerged in snow. And he
[37:59] Speaker 8: said that he had flown in there one time and
[38:02] Speaker 8: he had landed, and that there were tracks and the
[38:06] Speaker 8: tracks went down almost five feet into the snow and
[38:09] Speaker 8: you could see and he said you could see bare
[38:12] Speaker 8: footprints in the bottom with a fairly large stride. And
[38:18] Speaker 8: he said he had no idea what it was or anything,
[38:21] Speaker 8: but that was an interesting note that he had come
[38:26] Speaker 8: up with. So I had also worked with another campground
[38:31] Speaker 8: attendant there. It was just me and him who took
[38:33] Speaker 8: care of these the whole campground complex. And this guy
[38:39] Speaker 8: was Chico's state's number two runner in the early eighties.
[38:45] Speaker 8: So this was a guy that's as fast as you're
[38:47] Speaker 8: going to find a young fella. This guy I was
[38:51] Speaker 8: running five to ten miles and he could leave me
[38:53] Speaker 8: at any time. I was doing it recreational. This guy
[38:56] Speaker 8: was good, so he could literally haul butt and he
[38:59] Speaker 8: would often do ten fifteen miles a couple times a week.
[39:05] Speaker 8: He came back one day and he'd come walking up
[39:09] Speaker 8: the driveway and from a distance of twenty yards, I
[39:12] Speaker 8: mean literally sixty feet away, I could he was a
[39:15] Speaker 8: white as a ghost. You could see he was shaken up.
[39:18] Speaker 8: And I asked him, Hey, what's going on? You know,
[39:21] Speaker 8: what's the matter. I don't want to talk about it.
[39:22] Speaker 8: I don't want to talk about it. And I grilled
[39:25] Speaker 8: him as he came up the steps.
[39:26] Speaker 9: Again.
[39:26] Speaker 8: He wouldn't talk about it, and I couldn't get anything
[39:29] Speaker 8: out of him. But you could see that this guy
[39:31] Speaker 8: was shaken up. I mean it was visible from a
[39:33] Speaker 8: long distance away. So I let him take a shower.
[39:37] Speaker 8: He had a couple of beers for dinner, and he
[39:38] Speaker 8: sat down to dinner, and you know, I go, come on, man,
[39:42] Speaker 8: you know ken he was I ain't I'm not talking
[39:44] Speaker 8: about it. The guy was just animate about not and
[39:48] Speaker 8: I'm somebody I won't let it go. So I kept
[39:51] Speaker 8: after him a little bit, but without being too much
[39:54] Speaker 8: of a pain in the butt. But I said, come on,
[39:57] Speaker 8: was it a mountain lion? Was it a coyote? Is
[40:00] Speaker 8: it a bear? What's you know? What's got y'all shaken up?
[40:04] Speaker 8: He goes, it wasn't any of those, and he wouldn't
[40:08] Speaker 8: come out and say what it was, but but I
[40:10] Speaker 8: got it out of him.
[40:11] Speaker 1: Oh man, that's a good one to hear what that
[40:14] Speaker 1: individual actually saw. You're gonna have to go over to
[40:18] Speaker 1: episode eight fifty three and check it out for yourself,
[40:20] Speaker 1: but trust me, is gonna be worth it. Number six
[40:25] Speaker 1: Oregon Hunters Experiences number seven oh one. This is one
[40:31] Speaker 1: of my favorites. It's a conversation with an individual. His
[40:34] Speaker 1: name is Lyle. He's a lifelong hunter in one of
[40:38] Speaker 1: my most favorite areas of Oregon, which is the Malala
[40:42] Speaker 1: Colton Estacada area. The things that Lyle share are intense,
[40:49] Speaker 1: to say the least. Let's check it out.
[40:53] Speaker 11: It's called will White Road and there was a spot
[40:56] Speaker 11: that I used to love to hunt up there. It
[41:00] Speaker 11: always kind of gave me the creepy feeling. It's super big,
[41:05] Speaker 11: tall old growth uh fir trees. I don't know why
[41:13] Speaker 11: why it does, but every time I go in there,
[41:15] Speaker 11: I just kind of felt creepy. But I love to
[41:17] Speaker 11: hunt it because there was lots of elk and lots
[41:20] Speaker 11: of deer in there all the time. Well, I went
[41:23] Speaker 11: up there one day by myself. It was deer season,
[41:28] Speaker 11: and I was sneaking up through the old growth fur.
[41:34] Speaker 11: And in the underneath this old growth fur, there's it's
[41:37] Speaker 11: just a sea of ferns and the ferns are probably
[41:41] Speaker 11: three foot tall. And I was walking uphill. And as
[41:48] Speaker 11: I was walking uphill, I was looking at the ground
[41:52] Speaker 11: and looking for, you know, sign seeing if the if
[41:55] Speaker 11: the deer had been moving through there, if they elk
[41:57] Speaker 11: had been moving through there. And this little bowl shaped
[42:02] Speaker 11: area it's probably i'd say a hundred by a hundred yards,
[42:10] Speaker 11: and I could see the whole face of the hillside
[42:15] Speaker 11: all the way around me. Well, as I'm walking through
[42:19] Speaker 11: the ferns, I'm looking down the ground and I just
[42:24] Speaker 11: start to pick my head up, and in the corner
[42:26] Speaker 11: of my eye I catch movement and as I start
[42:30] Speaker 11: to turn my head, look what I saw was I
[42:35] Speaker 11: thought what I saw was a bear And it was
[42:40] Speaker 11: by this big fir tree. And if you ever seen
[42:43] Speaker 11: a bear coming down out of a tree. When it
[42:47] Speaker 11: just right, when it touches the ground, its rear legs
[42:50] Speaker 11: are on the ground and its front legs are up
[42:53] Speaker 11: above its head still hanging under the tree.
[42:57] Speaker 10: Well, that's the position it was in when I first
[42:59] Speaker 10: seen it.
[43:01] Speaker 11: And right when I my eyes looked at it, that
[43:07] Speaker 11: was my first thought was bear. And I whipped my
[43:09] Speaker 11: rifle off, and I had a bear tag. I've always
[43:14] Speaker 11: had a bear. I always have a bear tag, and
[43:15] Speaker 11: that the season runs during deer season. And so I
[43:23] Speaker 11: ripped my rifle off. And as I'm ripping my rifle
[43:26] Speaker 11: off and swinging to shoot this bear, it comes down
[43:32] Speaker 11: off of the tree. And as it's coming off the
[43:34] Speaker 11: tree is when it looks at me. And I could
[43:39] Speaker 11: see that it had hands and it had a face,
[43:44] Speaker 11: and it went from bear to holy you know what,
[43:50] Speaker 11: it's bigfoot.
[43:51] Speaker 10: And this thing is only fifty yards from me.
[43:55] Speaker 11: And it went down onto all fours and it went
[43:59] Speaker 11: behind uh this uh tall ferns. And I had my
[44:05] Speaker 11: gun up and in my mind, I'm gonna do I
[44:08] Speaker 11: shoot it?
[44:08] Speaker 10: Do I shoot it? What do I do?
[44:11] Speaker 11: And I'm like, Okay, this thing's gonna come out somewhere.
[44:16] Speaker 11: I'll be able to see it because I could see
[44:18] Speaker 11: the whole hillside and there was there was no place
[44:20] Speaker 11: for it to go other than on this hill side.
[44:23] Speaker 10: It had to it had to leave.
[44:27] Speaker 11: Well, the ferns moved just for a split second when
[44:29] Speaker 11: it went behind the ferns. And I'm sitting there, you know,
[44:35] Speaker 11: my eyes are just like scanning, like where is this thing?
[44:39] Speaker 11: And I'm looking for it, and I never see anything
[44:43] Speaker 11: come out. And so I start slowly creeping up to
[44:48] Speaker 11: my left and I'm going to try to get above
[44:51] Speaker 11: it where I can look down onto it. And as
[44:56] Speaker 11: I'm sneaking around, I got I mean, my my eyes
[44:59] Speaker 11: are like all over the place, just seeing if this
[45:02] Speaker 11: thing's going to escape anywhere, and I don't see anything.
[45:07] Speaker 10: And I make it all the way.
[45:10] Speaker 11: Around three hundred and sixty degrees, all the way around
[45:13] Speaker 11: where this thing went behind this these ferns, and I
[45:16] Speaker 11: never saw anything. And so I finally got the courage
[45:22] Speaker 11: up and I started sneaking up to where it actually was,
[45:26] Speaker 11: and there was nothing there. It just like it just
[45:30] Speaker 11: like vanished. But it was so crystal clear when I
[45:36] Speaker 11: seen it. And when it came down, it went to
[45:39] Speaker 11: all fours and it went behind that those ferns. I mean,
[45:43] Speaker 11: I could still to this day see it in my
[45:44] Speaker 11: in my head, and I don't know what the heck
[45:48] Speaker 11: would happened? Where'd it goet? You know, I don't know
[45:50] Speaker 11: where it went to this day I could, I couldn't
[45:53] Speaker 11: tell you. And as big as it was, you would
[45:58] Speaker 11: have seen the ferns move, you would have seen it
[46:01] Speaker 11: come out on the hillside. I had a wide open
[46:04] Speaker 11: hillside that it had. The only other way would have
[46:08] Speaker 11: been right past me. And it never came past me.
[46:15] Speaker 11: And that's why I don't ever talk about it, because
[46:18] Speaker 11: it sounds so far fetched that I think everybody's like
[46:23] Speaker 11: got that mindset like, oh yeah, what were you smoking?
[46:27] Speaker 11: What were you drinking? You know, It's just so I
[46:33] Speaker 11: just never talked about it. But that was my second siding,
[46:36] Speaker 11: and that's the one that it was a reddish color.
[46:40] Speaker 11: It looked kind of like a rang a tang color
[46:43] Speaker 11: the hair, but the face looked like that Todd Standing's
[46:48] Speaker 11: Jane that he calls her. I think it had that
[46:52] Speaker 11: kind of down syndrome me look to its face. That's
[46:58] Speaker 11: my second sighting. The other thing I forgot to mention
[47:03] Speaker 11: was as my eyes were coming up and actually visually
[47:07] Speaker 11: seeing this thing. It there was like a tree knock,
[47:12] Speaker 11: and it sounded like it came from that that that thing,
[47:17] Speaker 11: that bigfoot, But there was nothing in its hand as
[47:21] Speaker 11: far as like a stick or anything. So which kind
[47:25] Speaker 11: of leads me to think that there are these tree
[47:28] Speaker 11: knocks that people talk about. I think they're doing it
[47:32] Speaker 11: with their mouth or something. Because it was so loud
[47:37] Speaker 11: that knock when it happened. It had to have been
[47:42] Speaker 11: that one right there, you know. It had to been
[47:44] Speaker 11: that that animal there that made the noise. Is it
[47:51] Speaker 11: was so loud.
[47:51] Speaker 10: It was just like.
[47:52] Speaker 11: Right there when it happened. And but as as I
[47:57] Speaker 11: heard that is when I was seeing it, but nothing
[48:00] Speaker 11: fell out of its hands, like it was like it
[48:03] Speaker 11: would have hit something with a stick, you know, if
[48:05] Speaker 11: it wou out a stick, I would have thought that
[48:07] Speaker 11: I would see like a stick, you know, flying out
[48:10] Speaker 11: of its hands or falling out of the hans.
[48:13] Speaker 1: I love those interviews where the individual is not a
[48:17] Speaker 1: bigfoot researcher's just a hunter or an outdoors man, but
[48:21] Speaker 1: the things they notice are incredible when they have that sighting.
[48:25] Speaker 1: So there's much much more in that episode. Definitely worth
[48:31] Speaker 1: checking it out. That's number seven oh one Oregon Hunter's Experiences.
[48:36] Speaker 1: Let's head on now to number five, which is a
[48:38] Speaker 1: North Georgia habituation, Part one, episode six point fifty nine.
[48:46] Speaker 1: This is my first part of a two part episode
[48:50] Speaker 1: with Neil from Bigfoot Talk dot Com. He's got some
[48:53] Speaker 1: wild things going on in his property area down there
[48:56] Speaker 1: in Northern Georgia. The things that he shares are incredible.
[49:01] Speaker 1: We're just going to play a little clip from it
[49:03] Speaker 1: so you can get a taste for it, but definitely
[49:06] Speaker 1: listen to the two part series from Neil from Bigfoot
[49:11] Speaker 1: Talk dot Com starts on episode six fifty nine. Let's
[49:15] Speaker 1: get after it.
[49:16] Speaker 3: So let me call this bigfoot expert that I know
[49:19] Speaker 3: that's in North Georgia. Now, honestly, I don't believe anybody
[49:23] Speaker 3: is an expert, true expert, because nobody really knows exactly
[49:28] Speaker 3: what they are. But if there is one, he would
[49:31] Speaker 3: be the closest to it. Then I called him because
[49:36] Speaker 3: I wanted to find out the person that wrote that report,
[49:39] Speaker 3: because it was a bfr BF or own report. I
[49:43] Speaker 3: wanted to talk to them and see if I could
[49:44] Speaker 3: find the location. That was my goal of calling him. Well,
[49:49] Speaker 3: when I get him on the phone. Then I realized
[49:52] Speaker 3: he was in the BFRO and when I tell him
[49:54] Speaker 3: the person's name and said, no, we don't know where
[49:56] Speaker 3: that person is. And so well you really, you know,
[50:01] Speaker 3: that really would help. But can I ask you some questions?
[50:04] Speaker 3: I said yes, sure, he said, okay, tell you a
[50:08] Speaker 3: little bit. So I was telling them about some of
[50:10] Speaker 3: the things I'd seen and that made no sense, and
[50:15] Speaker 3: then he said okay. He said, do you have a
[50:20] Speaker 3: lot of animals on the property. And then that's when
[50:23] Speaker 3: I started telling them about the deer should be a
[50:25] Speaker 3: deer haven. There wasn't that many deer, so I had
[50:27] Speaker 3: to start putting food out for them, and deer, you know,
[50:31] Speaker 3: feeders with supplemental food and all kind of fed the
[50:34] Speaker 3: birds and everything else. He goes, oh, in case you
[50:36] Speaker 3: put food out for the animal. Yes, I put food
[50:40] Speaker 3: out for the animal. He goes, what do you hunt?
[50:43] Speaker 3: I said, no, I don't hunt. I used to hunt
[50:45] Speaker 3: as a kid, but I don't hunt anymore because my
[50:48] Speaker 3: dad always said, if you're gonna shoot something, you better
[50:52] Speaker 3: do it to get something to eat. And my wife
[50:55] Speaker 3: would never beat a deer or another animal like that,
[51:00] Speaker 3: much less cook it. So I'm not going to just
[51:02] Speaker 3: go and shoot something to kill it. I'm just not
[51:05] Speaker 3: going to do it. I love to watch to hear
[51:07] Speaker 3: another animal, So no, we don't hunt. And then he said, well,
[51:13] Speaker 3: do you have any fruit trees? I said, yeah, I
[51:16] Speaker 3: planted a bunch of fruit trees. And I told them
[51:18] Speaker 3: about all the ones I planted and stuff, and he goes, well,
[51:22] Speaker 3: do you ever have any of your fruit missing? And
[51:25] Speaker 3: I said, well, when I planted on they were just
[51:27] Speaker 3: real young. The only one that's made something is the peaches.
[51:31] Speaker 3: But it's really weird because I have nating around it
[51:34] Speaker 3: and on the ground and fabric on the ground, and
[51:37] Speaker 3: every time for two years we've had some peaches on it.
[51:42] Speaker 3: And during the week when they're getting right, I'll tell
[51:45] Speaker 3: the family, Hey, the peaches are getting ripe. So this
[51:48] Speaker 3: weekend we're going to go pick some and make the
[51:50] Speaker 3: peach cobbler. Come Saturday, every peach is gone, no seeds,
[51:58] Speaker 3: none on the ground. And these were eight to ten
[52:01] Speaker 3: foot tull and plus we have an inating around which
[52:04] Speaker 3: was away from it, cried away since six foot high,
[52:08] Speaker 3: and nobody where the house is. You can't see us
[52:11] Speaker 3: from the road. We said, way back in the wood,
[52:15] Speaker 3: so he said okay. He said, you have any other
[52:18] Speaker 3: fruit go missing? I said, yeah, our figs. I like
[52:21] Speaker 3: to make fig preserves. I said, there'll be a bunch
[52:24] Speaker 3: of figs getting ripe, and I'll go out there and
[52:27] Speaker 3: they'll all be gone except for one or two. That's
[52:29] Speaker 3: half right, I said. Our per Simon trees would make
[52:34] Speaker 3: per simmons right off. So they must have the way
[52:37] Speaker 3: they did the plants, I said, And they they go
[52:40] Speaker 3: missing and the deer aren't a getting them because the
[52:42] Speaker 3: deer can't get to them because of the deer nating
[52:45] Speaker 3: around it. He said, okay, he said, so you feed
[52:50] Speaker 3: the animals. You've had this stuff happened. You've got fruit
[52:54] Speaker 3: going missing, You've got fruit teas. You're feeding animals, you're
[52:56] Speaker 3: not doing them. He said, I got a good idea
[52:59] Speaker 3: of what's going on. I said, okay, what's going on?
[53:05] Speaker 3: He said, you know what's going on. That's why you
[53:07] Speaker 3: called me. You have a big foot. I said, I've
[53:11] Speaker 3: got a big foot and he said, yeah, you have
[53:13] Speaker 3: a big food. I said, well, well, what are they
[53:17] Speaker 3: trying to say? What are they trying to do? He said,
[53:22] Speaker 3: they're letting you know there there and want to cohabitate
[53:27] Speaker 3: and live with you, coesists with you there at where
[53:33] Speaker 3: you're at now, that blew my mind. I'm like, you know,
[53:37] Speaker 3: I'd like to watch the stuff that. I really didn't
[53:40] Speaker 3: know anything about big food at the time, and I
[53:43] Speaker 3: was like, really, I said, how do you know that?
[53:48] Speaker 3: He said, okay, Well, let me ask you some more questions.
[53:50] Speaker 3: I said, okay. He said, on your road, do you
[53:55] Speaker 3: find trees pushed down across it a lot? I said,
[53:59] Speaker 3: We've never had a tree push down across the road.
[54:02] Speaker 3: Said okay. He said, have you ever had anything run
[54:05] Speaker 3: by your house in the middle of the night hit
[54:06] Speaker 3: it two or three times? No, we've never had that happen.
[54:11] Speaker 3: Have you ever heard growls from the woods around your
[54:14] Speaker 3: house when you're outside at night. No, we've never heard
[54:19] Speaker 3: growls outside. Have you ever heard rocks or steaks or
[54:23] Speaker 3: something being thrown on your roof at your house round
[54:28] Speaker 3: the barn nearby? No, never heard it. He said, if
[54:33] Speaker 3: they didn't want you there, that's what they would be doing.
[54:37] Speaker 3: He said, they're just letting you know that they're there.
[54:41] Speaker 3: They evidently have been watching you and see that you're
[54:45] Speaker 3: friendly to the animals, you're nice people. Because of all
[54:49] Speaker 3: the stuff that you're doing, and so they want to
[54:53] Speaker 3: coexist with you. Well that kind of blew my mind,
[54:56] Speaker 3: unlike okay, and then we kind of ended the conversation,
[55:02] Speaker 3: and I'm like, all right, so I'm tired for a
[55:08] Speaker 3: person that goes by the motto trust but verify. I
[55:12] Speaker 3: trusted what he said, but I wanted to verify what
[55:15] Speaker 3: he said. So after a little bit of thinking, I
[55:19] Speaker 3: was like, this is after a while, after a few weeks,
[55:23] Speaker 3: I was like, what can I do to try to
[55:27] Speaker 3: find out they're really here? So what I decided to
[55:31] Speaker 3: do is one big trayal that they had walked on
[55:33] Speaker 3: and smushed everything down. I was going to go put
[55:37] Speaker 3: two headless nails in a tree and stick red apples
[55:41] Speaker 3: on it. I'll just stick them up as high as
[55:43] Speaker 3: I could and find a tree that really didn't have
[55:46] Speaker 3: any limbs on it for other things to get to it.
[55:50] Speaker 8: So what a the end is?
[55:51] Speaker 3: I stuck a red delicious apple on each one of adults.
[55:56] Speaker 3: Then I raked off underneath it that now the leaves
[56:02] Speaker 3: and all were so thick that it didn't get to
[56:05] Speaker 3: the dirk, but it got to the soft leave, soft
[56:08] Speaker 3: wet leaves underneath it, which compress easy. So I go
[56:14] Speaker 3: down there. The next time I go down there, and
[56:17] Speaker 3: I believe it was the next day, but it could
[56:18] Speaker 3: have been two days later. The apples were gone. That's good.
[56:25] Speaker 3: I looked in there. It was in that in the
[56:29] Speaker 3: in the leaves there was an impression of one that
[56:35] Speaker 3: of a human like foot sixteen to sixteen and a
[56:38] Speaker 3: half inches long. And I have my answer. So we
[56:44] Speaker 3: do how Bigfoot? Bigfoot is here. So at the time,
[56:50] Speaker 3: I thought the Bigfoot, like most people think, Bigfoot's just
[56:54] Speaker 3: a normal, everyday animal. So I decided, Okay, well, I'm
[56:58] Speaker 3: going to try to this is unique. I'm going to
[57:02] Speaker 3: try to find out how we should communicate and learn
[57:06] Speaker 3: about them, because nobody really does. And if I can
[57:09] Speaker 3: earn their trust and let them know that I'm willing,
[57:15] Speaker 3: maybe I can learn more about them and everything to
[57:19] Speaker 3: find out, you know, all about them, find out as
[57:23] Speaker 3: much as I can. So I kept putting apples out there,
[57:28] Speaker 3: and they kept disappearing, and so I was trying to think,
[57:32] Speaker 3: I need them to interact with me. So down there
[57:36] Speaker 3: near where I was putting the apples out, I had
[57:39] Speaker 3: a stump feeder. Now the stumb feeder was level and
[57:42] Speaker 3: on the top it had the rings, and I said,
[57:46] Speaker 3: I'm going to give them some blue marbles. I saw
[57:49] Speaker 3: the show one time where they were talking about them
[57:51] Speaker 3: liking blue marbles. So I'm going to put some blue
[57:54] Speaker 3: marbles up there to kill them as a gill. And
[57:58] Speaker 3: it's with then probably fifteen twenty yards off where open
[58:03] Speaker 3: the apples. So I put the blue marbles up there.
[58:07] Speaker 3: That was on a Sunday, and I think the next
[58:11] Speaker 3: Saturday when I went down there, the marbles were gone.
[58:15] Speaker 3: I'm like, this is great. They're not on the ground,
[58:17] Speaker 3: They're all gone. So I went and told my wife.
[58:23] Speaker 3: She wanted to see it. So we drive down there.
[58:25] Speaker 3: Sure enough, they're gone. Now to go down there, it
[58:29] Speaker 3: makes a big u by just kind of the way
[58:31] Speaker 3: that the streams and everything. My wife does all the mow,
[58:38] Speaker 3: and thank goodness, I got her a real nice and
[58:41] Speaker 3: zero turn so she can do the mowing. It relaxes her.
[58:44] Speaker 3: She loves to mow. So we're going around that u
[58:48] Speaker 3: and when we get to start going up on the
[58:52] Speaker 3: northernmost side, there is a huge river rock on the
[58:57] Speaker 3: left hand side of the trail. This seems got a
[59:00] Speaker 3: way one hundred pills and there's another one that weighs
[59:03] Speaker 3: about sixty devy pails on the right side of the trail,
[59:06] Speaker 3: right next to it. My wife stops and looks at
[59:09] Speaker 3: him as she goes, where did these come from? I said,
[59:13] Speaker 3: I have no idea where those getting from. You know,
[59:17] Speaker 3: they're they're huge.
[59:19] Speaker 1: Neil has definitely gotten more than he bargained for with
[59:21] Speaker 1: that property, and the stuff is still going on. That
[59:26] Speaker 1: was number five North Georgia Habituation, Part one, episode six
[59:30] Speaker 1: fifty nine. Let's continue to number four Stuck on the
[59:34] Speaker 1: Island with Sasquatch, which is episode seven fourteen. This episode
[59:39] Speaker 1: is another outdoorsman from Oregon. His name's Joey, and he
[59:44] Speaker 1: shares some really interesting things in areas that are extremely active.
[59:51] Speaker 1: Silver Creek Falls State Park, Detroit Lake, Waldo Lake Wilderness.
[59:56] Speaker 1: Some really cool encounters shared in this one. It's actually
[59:59] Speaker 1: one of my favorites. I will tell you it's a
[1:00:02] Speaker 1: privilege to hear encounters from Detroit Lake area. I actually
[1:00:06] Speaker 1: tried to stop there. I did stop there in July
[1:00:09] Speaker 1: of twenty twenty five. And people don't really like being
[1:00:15] Speaker 1: asked about bigfoot or sharing stories to an outsider. At
[1:00:19] Speaker 1: least they didn't to me, so whenever I get someone
[1:00:22] Speaker 1: on the show, it's a huge privilege from that area.
[1:00:26] Speaker 1: Enjoy this clip from episode seven fourteen, Stuck on the
[1:00:32] Speaker 1: Island with Sasquatch. You guys made it number four out
[1:00:37] Speaker 1: of ten for twenty twenty five.
[1:00:40] Speaker 12: It was at Detroit Lake in nineteen ninety five on
[1:00:44] Speaker 12: the second of July. My birthday's fourth of July, and
[1:00:49] Speaker 12: it was on the island at Detroit Lake, Piety Island,
[1:00:52] Speaker 12: at the boat camp there me I was there with
[1:00:56] Speaker 12: my friend Steve and his girlfriend were in my camp.
[1:01:00] Speaker 12: We had taken a campsite to furthest up the hill
[1:01:03] Speaker 12: away from other people that had come out there. It
[1:01:05] Speaker 12: was about a dozen of us that had come out
[1:01:07] Speaker 12: to boat camp. I had a jet ski and we'd
[1:01:11] Speaker 12: done this several times right there. And they do the
[1:01:13] Speaker 12: fireworks at Detroit Lake on the third So it was
[1:01:16] Speaker 12: always fun to celebrate my birthday and to see the
[1:01:20] Speaker 12: fireworks there swimming and.
[1:01:21] Speaker 5: Fishing and whatnot.
[1:01:23] Speaker 12: So on the second of July, I had just finished
[1:01:28] Speaker 12: of partying and hanging out in a campground down on
[1:01:31] Speaker 12: the beach with my friend Sean and his girlfriend several others.
[1:01:35] Speaker 12: That was kind of the meeting place for everybody on
[1:01:37] Speaker 12: that trip. And my friend Steve and I and his
[1:01:40] Speaker 12: girlfriend Nancy returned to our camp site. It was pretty late,
[1:01:45] Speaker 12: I'm not really sure what time, maybe eleven twelve, I
[1:01:49] Speaker 12: don't know.
[1:01:49] Speaker 5: They went right to bed.
[1:01:50] Speaker 12: Our tents were set up next to each other. They
[1:01:53] Speaker 12: went to bed. I wanted to wind down a little bit.
[1:02:01] Speaker 12: I'd build up the fire and our fire pit had
[1:02:04] Speaker 12: an established fire pit there cement with a you know,
[1:02:07] Speaker 12: the metal swinging grill, and I had my sleeping.
[1:02:11] Speaker 5: Pad laid out by the fire.
[1:02:13] Speaker 12: Didn't have a camp chair, so I'm laying there with
[1:02:16] Speaker 12: my you know, head on my in my hand up
[1:02:19] Speaker 12: on my elbow, on my side, watching the fire.
[1:02:22] Speaker 5: And I had my my.
[1:02:23] Speaker 12: Friend Steve's dog, Susha, a big old chocolate lab, laying
[1:02:29] Speaker 12: by me. I was kind of using her kind of
[1:02:31] Speaker 12: like a pillow. Very cool dog. All I want to
[1:02:34] Speaker 12: add right now that this dog, whether it loved deer
[1:02:39] Speaker 12: or hated deer, I'm not sure, but if a deer
[1:02:42] Speaker 12: was anywhere around our camp, whenever we went camp and
[1:02:45] Speaker 12: she was out of there chasing it, it was almost
[1:02:48] Speaker 12: a problem because sometimes she'd be gone an hour or two.
[1:02:52] Speaker 12: We always wondered if she was going to come back,
[1:02:54] Speaker 12: and she wouldn't bark or anything. She'd just be laying
[1:02:57] Speaker 12: there one minute and the next second just take off
[1:03:00] Speaker 12: like a rocket.
[1:03:01] Speaker 6: We knew what she was after, right, So she's.
[1:03:04] Speaker 12: Laying there by me and my fire's my fire was
[1:03:08] Speaker 12: dying down, so there wasn't much flame left, but there
[1:03:12] Speaker 12: was plenty of smoke coming up off the fire. And
[1:03:16] Speaker 12: that was one of the advantages of laying on that pad.
[1:03:19] Speaker 12: If it blew my way, it kind of just went
[1:03:21] Speaker 12: over the top of me and didn't get in my eyes.
[1:03:23] Speaker 12: So anyway, I'm laying there and Susha's at my head,
[1:03:27] Speaker 12: like I said, and she lets out a little.
[1:03:29] Speaker 5: Growl, kind of a low, low growl, and it's and
[1:03:36] Speaker 5: goes on alert.
[1:03:37] Speaker 12: So she's sitting up now and kind of looking off
[1:03:41] Speaker 12: up the hill from me, and I was checking her
[1:03:44] Speaker 12: out to see where she was looking at, but she
[1:03:46] Speaker 12: hasn't taken off, and I was wondering, if it's a deer,
[1:03:50] Speaker 12: how come you're not chasing it already. And I hear
[1:03:53] Speaker 12: I hear a stick break, big stick break, and very
[1:03:57] Speaker 12: close to camp, and it made a crack. I mean,
[1:04:00] Speaker 12: it sounded like a big stick you would put over
[1:04:03] Speaker 12: your knee or stomp on to break it. But it
[1:04:08] Speaker 12: it got my attention, and now Susha's very worried and
[1:04:13] Speaker 12: whining a little bit about it. And though I have
[1:04:18] Speaker 12: a pen light on my tee chain in my pocket,
[1:04:21] Speaker 12: one of those little flashlights you screw flows to make
[1:04:24] Speaker 12: the light come on. So I get that out and
[1:04:27] Speaker 12: I turn on the light and the battery and it's
[1:04:29] Speaker 12: real crappy, but it's still making some kind of light.
[1:04:33] Speaker 12: And I kind of get up on my knees and
[1:04:35] Speaker 12: I'm shining it through the smoke and up the hill
[1:04:40] Speaker 12: above my camp there see if I can see anything
[1:04:45] Speaker 12: kind of at ground level where you might see a deer.
[1:04:49] Speaker 12: And something catches my eye. And what I see is
[1:04:53] Speaker 12: I raise my flashlight up and from behind the tree
[1:04:57] Speaker 12: behind camp, maybe ten feet behind the fire ra, I
[1:05:00] Speaker 12: see one glowing eye. I don't know if it was
[1:05:05] Speaker 12: red or yet, I think it must have been. I
[1:05:07] Speaker 12: remember being a yellow glow, but big, this eye peering
[1:05:13] Speaker 12: out from me behind the tree. And you know, my
[1:05:18] Speaker 12: mind's going nuts right now. I can't figure out what
[1:05:21] Speaker 12: it is. So I stand up, and I wasn't really
[1:05:25] Speaker 12: afraid yet I had to figure out what this was.
[1:05:27] Speaker 12: I wanted to figure out what this was. So for
[1:05:31] Speaker 12: whatever reason, I stepped right across the fire, right across
[1:05:36] Speaker 12: the grate, through the smoke, towards this thing so I
[1:05:41] Speaker 12: can get a better view of it, so the smoke
[1:05:43] Speaker 12: isn't in my way. And as soon as I get
[1:05:46] Speaker 12: across it, it goes behind the tree and comes out
[1:05:50] Speaker 12: on the other side. Now I see both eyes looking
[1:05:52] Speaker 12: at me, and it's big, and I know.
[1:06:00] Speaker 5: What this is.
[1:06:01] Speaker 12: Now I can see the outline it's facing me. I
[1:06:05] Speaker 12: can see the outline of its left side. It's not
[1:06:07] Speaker 12: all the way out from the tree, but I can
[1:06:09] Speaker 12: see it plainly that I'm standing right in front of
[1:06:13] Speaker 12: a big foot. And as soon as it's blinking at
[1:06:15] Speaker 12: me too, and as soon as I see it in
[1:06:19] Speaker 12: full view, it squats down, like you know, it's getting
[1:06:25] Speaker 12: like the call of nature. It squats down and puts
[1:06:28] Speaker 12: its hands out in front of me or out in
[1:06:30] Speaker 12: front of it on the ground. And I've still got
[1:06:33] Speaker 12: my light and my arm extended completely out in front
[1:06:36] Speaker 12: of me, and I'm shining my light right on its
[1:06:37] Speaker 12: eyeballs and I can see it and it's massive, you know.
[1:06:42] Speaker 12: I don't know how tall it was. I never measured it,
[1:06:45] Speaker 12: but it was a good nine to ten foot tall,
[1:06:48] Speaker 12: sauce bigfoot huge, seemed like it was even bigger than
[1:06:52] Speaker 12: the one I'd seen in nineteen seventy nine. And it's
[1:06:56] Speaker 12: squatted down, it's completely broads, it's just massive. And a
[1:07:02] Speaker 12: couple seconds later and I'm just frozen there with my flashlight.
[1:07:06] Speaker 12: A couple seconds later, it starts moving away from me
[1:07:09] Speaker 12: down the hill towards the beach, and Susha has taken off.
[1:07:13] Speaker 12: She's nowhere to be seen. She didn't bark, or she
[1:07:19] Speaker 12: decided she didn't want any part of this thing. And
[1:07:22] Speaker 12: it moves away from me. And while it's moving away,
[1:07:25] Speaker 12: it's standing up and squatting, standing up and squatting, going
[1:07:29] Speaker 12: up and down, up and down, and it kept its
[1:07:32] Speaker 12: eyes on me the whole time. And it got down
[1:07:35] Speaker 12: the hill from me thirty or forty feet, still looking
[1:07:38] Speaker 12: at me, and I'm now all I can see is
[1:07:40] Speaker 12: the eye shine. And it got to a point where
[1:07:43] Speaker 12: it was the angle of the hill, it was going
[1:07:47] Speaker 12: to disappear, and I got the creeps like I became.
[1:07:52] Speaker 12: Now I'm ready to act, And I went from my
[1:07:55] Speaker 12: fire pit to my tent. In about a half a second,
[1:07:58] Speaker 12: I just dove into my tent, breathing heavily. I was
[1:08:03] Speaker 12: I was petrified at what I'd just seen. Susha's nowhere
[1:08:07] Speaker 12: to incite. I jumped in my tent and grabbed my
[1:08:10] Speaker 12: sleeping bag and put it over my head, like a
[1:08:12] Speaker 12: like a child hiding from a monster in his bedroom.
[1:08:15] Speaker 6: You know.
[1:08:17] Speaker 12: That was that was my protection, was that thin walled tent,
[1:08:21] Speaker 12: my sleeping bag. And I'm on my hands and knees
[1:08:24] Speaker 12: with my bag over my head. And I don't know
[1:08:26] Speaker 12: how long I stayed like that, just hoping that whatever happened,
[1:08:30] Speaker 12: that it didn't come back and you know, kill me.
[1:08:34] Speaker 12: I felt like when it moved away from me, it
[1:08:36] Speaker 12: might be trying to come around behind me, which is
[1:08:39] Speaker 12: why I acted and ran to my tent. So strangely enough,
[1:08:45] Speaker 12: after all of that, I fell asleep and woke up
[1:08:50] Speaker 12: kind of panicky and sat up in my tent, thinking,
[1:08:54] Speaker 12: you know that what I saw was that a dream?
[1:08:57] Speaker 10: You know.
[1:08:57] Speaker 12: No poked my head out the tent and Susha had
[1:09:00] Speaker 12: come back to camp and was walking around in front
[1:09:04] Speaker 12: of my tent a little bit. I called her into
[1:09:06] Speaker 12: my tent and zipped it up and went back to
[1:09:11] Speaker 12: sleep with her. I got up real early. I didn't
[1:09:13] Speaker 12: sleep much, got up real early, got my fire going
[1:09:17] Speaker 12: and some coffee. My friend Sean saw me doing that
[1:09:21] Speaker 12: from the camp down by the beach, and he came
[1:09:23] Speaker 12: up the hill with his coffee cup to to get
[1:09:27] Speaker 12: some coffee from me, and I told him what had happened,
[1:09:31] Speaker 12: and he was blown away. He started looking around on
[1:09:34] Speaker 12: the tree again. The forest floor was there was not
[1:09:38] Speaker 12: a conducive for leaving any tracks, so there weren't any
[1:09:41] Speaker 12: tracks or anything. Later in the day, I followed abandoned
[1:09:45] Speaker 12: fire road or whatever that wound around the back side
[1:09:48] Speaker 12: of the island to the top to see if I
[1:09:52] Speaker 12: could find any more signs or tracks.
[1:09:55] Speaker 5: I did not.
[1:09:56] Speaker 12: On top of Piety Island, there's a slash pile of
[1:10:01] Speaker 12: abandoned timber, quite a sizable pile that was never harvested,
[1:10:06] Speaker 12: but is still there, moss covered and weathered. And when
[1:10:10] Speaker 12: I got up to the top and saw that there
[1:10:12] Speaker 12: were some real dark holes inside this pile of logs,
[1:10:16] Speaker 12: that made the you know, a very creepy feeling standing
[1:10:20] Speaker 12: there looking like there was something in there looking back
[1:10:23] Speaker 12: at me. And I didn't stick around long and went
[1:10:25] Speaker 12: back down to camp. By the time I got back down,
[1:10:30] Speaker 12: there was another family that was camping with us with
[1:10:32] Speaker 12: their with their kids that had come out in a
[1:10:36] Speaker 12: ski boat, and my friend Sean had told him what
[1:10:39] Speaker 12: I had seen. And this this fellow shared with me
[1:10:43] Speaker 12: that while he was at a boy scout camp pretty
[1:10:46] Speaker 12: close to fur Lake when he was a kid, that
[1:10:51] Speaker 12: their their scout master had seen a bigfoot while he
[1:10:54] Speaker 12: had gotten up in the night and there was one
[1:10:56] Speaker 12: in their camp at the scout camp and made everybody
[1:10:59] Speaker 12: clear out the following day. He said it was a
[1:11:02] Speaker 12: surreal experience because he not only did he had never
[1:11:05] Speaker 12: heard one before, but you know, to actually have to
[1:11:08] Speaker 12: leave the camp because of one. So he took he
[1:11:11] Speaker 12: packed up his kids and everything and took off that day.
[1:11:14] Speaker 12: On the on the third of July, he didn't even
[1:11:17] Speaker 12: stay for the fireworks. He was like, he felt like
[1:11:20] Speaker 12: he was in danger if we had one right there
[1:11:22] Speaker 12: on the island. I stayed two more nights and I
[1:11:27] Speaker 12: didn't worry about it. On you know, the third of July,
[1:11:30] Speaker 12: there was fireworks going off. It sounds like a war
[1:11:33] Speaker 12: zone there. I didn't I didn't think about it that
[1:11:36] Speaker 12: night and then stayed the night of my birthday on
[1:11:39] Speaker 12: the fourth and went home the fifth. And it didn't
[1:11:42] Speaker 12: really didn't really bother me, I guess, thinking back, you
[1:11:46] Speaker 12: know again I was I was ten feet from it
[1:11:51] Speaker 12: or closer when it was squatting down, and I was
[1:11:54] Speaker 12: standing there with my little light. You know, I could
[1:11:56] Speaker 12: hear it breathing, and he could have reached out and
[1:11:59] Speaker 12: snapped me like a twig, and he didn't. He just
[1:12:03] Speaker 12: checked me out for a second, maybe maybe five or
[1:12:06] Speaker 12: ten seconds. It was squatted down before it started moving
[1:12:09] Speaker 12: down the hill. But the way it moved down that
[1:12:12] Speaker 12: hill was very strange. How it stood all the way
[1:12:16] Speaker 12: up and went down almost to the ground, up and
[1:12:19] Speaker 12: down three or four times before you know, I high
[1:12:22] Speaker 12: tailed it and jumped into my tent.
[1:12:24] Speaker 4: Man.
[1:12:24] Speaker 1: That is one of my favorite episodes. Such a good
[1:12:28] Speaker 1: chat with Joey again. That's episode seven fourteen. Let's head
[1:12:32] Speaker 1: on now to number three out of ten. This is
[1:12:35] Speaker 1: episode seven ninety nine. Wildlife Biologist comes forward in Pennsylvania.
[1:12:40] Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, this one is wild. Matt Carter is
[1:12:44] Speaker 1: a former wildlife biologist from southwest Pennsylvania, was on the show.
[1:12:49] Speaker 1: His family has this secluded twenty acre property. Matt is
[1:12:53] Speaker 1: really getting a ton of data and having some intense
[1:12:56] Speaker 1: experiences on this property, everything from bizarre howls to weird smells,
[1:13:04] Speaker 1: unidentified bird calls. And Matt is a gentleman who has
[1:13:08] Speaker 1: authored his own bird book, Birds of the West Virginia
[1:13:12] Speaker 1: Northern Panhandle too. He is the author of that book,
[1:13:15] Speaker 1: so he knows his stuff as a wildlife biologist. Check
[1:13:20] Speaker 1: out this clip of episode number three out of ten,
[1:13:25] Speaker 1: This whole episode is just awesome.
[1:13:26] Speaker 6: I stood up and I walked over and I was
[1:13:28] Speaker 6: staying there, just looking, and then all of a sudden,
[1:13:30] Speaker 6: I hear, like plain as day, a wood knock and
[1:13:33] Speaker 6: I was like, oh, that's weird. And my mom said,
[1:13:36] Speaker 6: what I said, You didn't hear that. I said, that
[1:13:39] Speaker 6: sounded like somebody like took it like a stick or
[1:13:42] Speaker 6: you know, fall aback something, just smack the tree. And
[1:13:46] Speaker 6: she said, are you kidding? I said, Mom, I would
[1:13:47] Speaker 6: never joke about wildlife stuff. And she said, well, what
[1:13:51] Speaker 6: would do that? What kind of animal? I said, well,
[1:13:53] Speaker 6: you would need hands to actually pick something up and
[1:13:56] Speaker 6: smack something like that. And then we heard a second
[1:13:59] Speaker 6: one and she heard it this time, and now the
[1:14:02] Speaker 6: dogs moved from where they were to between me and
[1:14:05] Speaker 6: the and like you know where you can't see from
[1:14:08] Speaker 6: the campfire, and then we heard another one answer it
[1:14:12] Speaker 6: back further up in the woods. That was when I'm like, okay,
[1:14:16] Speaker 6: time to take the dogs in. And it was very
[1:14:18] Speaker 6: hard to get them inside that night, like they really
[1:14:22] Speaker 6: did not want to leave, like where they were, like
[1:14:24] Speaker 6: they were really freaked out even walk over towards that
[1:14:27] Speaker 6: part of the property because we kind of had to
[1:14:29] Speaker 6: walk that directionally get back to the house. So that
[1:14:34] Speaker 6: was like the first like real weird thing out here
[1:14:38] Speaker 6: wildlife wise, and I'm like, Okay, something's in that woods
[1:14:41] Speaker 6: making noises that I don't know what it is. And
[1:14:43] Speaker 6: that's a problem because I've been doing this, you know,
[1:14:46] Speaker 6: for a better part of a decade at that point,
[1:14:49] Speaker 6: and I've spent thousands of hours, like I worked on
[1:14:51] Speaker 6: like the breeding bird atlasts from Western Virginia. I was
[1:14:54] Speaker 6: doing one hundred hours a week in the woods and
[1:14:56] Speaker 6: all these other projects. So I'm very aware of what's
[1:14:59] Speaker 6: in this whole area. So that was kind of it
[1:15:04] Speaker 6: until that fall, so like a few months later, so
[1:15:08] Speaker 6: that was by June, so around September October, it was
[1:15:12] Speaker 6: like four in the morning because I'm a bit of
[1:15:14] Speaker 6: a night out, so I was just sitting here on
[1:15:16] Speaker 6: my computer and then I started to hear what sounded
[1:15:19] Speaker 6: like a hyena and I know it's not a coyote
[1:15:22] Speaker 6: because I've since found a video from the US Fish
[1:15:25] Speaker 6: and Wildlife Service which I can send you a link
[1:15:27] Speaker 6: to that they're actually talking about these vocalizations that they caught,
[1:15:32] Speaker 6: and they're talking about sasquatch and like how they can't
[1:15:35] Speaker 6: figure out, like, is that what this is because none
[1:15:38] Speaker 6: of them knew what these exact sounds I heard were.
[1:15:43] Speaker 6: And what was weird about it was I went over
[1:15:45] Speaker 6: to the window and I was just listening, and as
[1:15:47] Speaker 6: it kind of like it got closer, I wasn't able
[1:15:50] Speaker 6: to move. It was like this wave of fear hit me,
[1:15:55] Speaker 6: and it's probably the scariness I've ever been And it's
[1:15:58] Speaker 6: crazy because I was on the second story of my
[1:16:01] Speaker 6: house inside, but I couldn't almost physically move until eventually
[1:16:07] Speaker 6: it got to the point where I was almost crying.
[1:16:08] Speaker 6: I was so scared, and then the noise just went
[1:16:12] Speaker 6: away and then I could start to move, which makes
[1:16:15] Speaker 6: me wonder if that was some form of infra sound.
[1:16:18] Speaker 6: That hit me because it was very weird that I
[1:16:20] Speaker 6: couldn't move. So after that, though, is really when things
[1:16:25] Speaker 6: started to pick up. So now we start getting like
[1:16:29] Speaker 6: odd bird calls at night. So what I mean is
[1:16:32] Speaker 6: throw the owls calling, but they're not owls. The voice
[1:16:35] Speaker 6: is too deep and the cadence and the rhythm is wrong.
[1:16:39] Speaker 6: So typically, like you know, like the great horn, Now
[1:16:42] Speaker 6: you'll get like one long or one short, and then
[1:16:44] Speaker 6: a couple more after that. This isn't even doing the
[1:16:47] Speaker 6: right amount of notes, let alone. The voice is too
[1:16:50] Speaker 6: deep to be an owl, And at times we'll go
[1:16:53] Speaker 6: to an alternate like real deep at the end, so
[1:16:58] Speaker 6: that's clearly not an owl doing that. And we'll get
[1:17:02] Speaker 6: like other weird animal calls like geese and other things
[1:17:06] Speaker 6: coming from the woods, and like there's no there's not
[1:17:08] Speaker 6: going to be a random goose living up in the woods.
[1:17:12] Speaker 6: And this kind of goes on until like early June
[1:17:15] Speaker 6: of twenty twenty four. So I've been trying to get
[1:17:19] Speaker 6: back into shape just because I'm trying to be healthier.
[1:17:21] Speaker 6: And our property, like I said, it's a twenty acre.
[1:17:24] Speaker 6: It's mainly a like an open field, and in the
[1:17:29] Speaker 6: back left corner of that field, there's like a little
[1:17:32] Speaker 6: stand of woods before you hit the actual woods, like
[1:17:34] Speaker 6: there's a little like stretch of like clearing between it,
[1:17:38] Speaker 6: so it kind of goes It has a grade too,
[1:17:41] Speaker 6: like it kind of goes up into that corner. But
[1:17:43] Speaker 6: then as you go up to the right hand back corner,
[1:17:46] Speaker 6: it's really steep. So it's a nice workout, like you
[1:17:49] Speaker 6: get this gradual grade and then you come back down
[1:17:52] Speaker 6: on like the right side and you just do a
[1:17:54] Speaker 6: circle and I think altogether it's like a quarter mile
[1:17:57] Speaker 6: or a half a mile. It gets a teco lock.
[1:18:00] Speaker 6: So what happened was I was walking back towards that corner,
[1:18:03] Speaker 6: towards where that pond is, and I noticed everything went
[1:18:07] Speaker 6: dead silent, and I mean dead silent. No birds, no bugs, nothing,
[1:18:13] Speaker 6: And that's really weird for that to be happening in
[1:18:17] Speaker 6: like early summer, late spring. You know when everything should
[1:18:20] Speaker 6: be going crazy or something should be doing an alarm call,
[1:18:23] Speaker 6: you know, some kind of you know, there's a whole
[1:18:27] Speaker 6: bunch of different species like blue jays. You know, there's
[1:18:32] Speaker 6: a tough to tit myself, and something should be alarming
[1:18:34] Speaker 6: to me coming back there, but nothing, So I thought
[1:18:39] Speaker 6: that was weird to go, like quieter and quieter the
[1:18:41] Speaker 6: closer I got through that pond. So I just sat
[1:18:45] Speaker 6: there for at the pond for a second, I'm like,
[1:18:47] Speaker 6: this is it just fell off? And then that's when
[1:18:51] Speaker 6: I heard it sounded like I was convinced it was
[1:18:54] Speaker 6: a person, but everything was so grown in at that time.
[1:18:57] Speaker 6: I couldn't see, you know, what was walking around, but
[1:19:01] Speaker 6: it was clearly two legs because it sounded just like
[1:19:04] Speaker 6: a huge person walking And it kind of freaked me
[1:19:07] Speaker 6: out because nobody should be back there. All of our
[1:19:11] Speaker 6: dogs are like essentially like guard dogs, so everyone knows
[1:19:15] Speaker 6: just don't come up here. I mean, we've got guns.
[1:19:17] Speaker 6: I mean Southwest Pa. So no one should be back
[1:19:21] Speaker 6: there messing around. And it started to bother me because
[1:19:25] Speaker 6: I said hello and there was no answer. So then
[1:19:29] Speaker 6: I'm like, Okay, what do I do now, because I'm
[1:19:33] Speaker 6: convinced this is a person, and I'm like, they're not answering,
[1:19:37] Speaker 6: and you know, normally if there's someone out in the
[1:19:39] Speaker 6: woods with you and they're not answering back, they don't
[1:19:41] Speaker 6: have good intentions. So I said, just so you know,
[1:19:45] Speaker 6: I can hear you, I said, I can't see you.
[1:19:48] Speaker 6: But I can tell, like the general area where you're at.
[1:19:50] Speaker 6: I said, Look, I live in that house over there,
[1:19:53] Speaker 6: I said, So I'm not far. Someone will come looking
[1:19:55] Speaker 6: for me, I said. And the second thing is, I'm
[1:19:58] Speaker 6: not back here like the car problems, I said, I'm
[1:20:01] Speaker 6: just going for a nature walk and I'm going to
[1:20:03] Speaker 6: walk up to the other to the opposite corner. Back here,
[1:20:06] Speaker 6: there's a game cam that a family friend has. I'm
[1:20:09] Speaker 6: gonna put the s ME card back in it that
[1:20:11] Speaker 6: I got yesterday, because that was what was weird was
[1:20:14] Speaker 6: the day before. Everything was fine when I was back there.
[1:20:18] Speaker 6: So it's still nothing, no one, no one's saying anything.
[1:20:21] Speaker 6: There was no smells though, so I didn't smell anything
[1:20:24] Speaker 6: this time, but there was something like you could tell
[1:20:27] Speaker 6: it was over there because I could hear it moving around.
[1:20:30] Speaker 6: So I said, okay, I'm gonna walk up here now. Still,
[1:20:33] Speaker 6: you know, no nothing's talking back to me. So I
[1:20:37] Speaker 6: start to walk up like the woodline, and I noticed though,
[1:20:40] Speaker 6: even though nobody's talking, it's paralleling me. So I'm like, okay,
[1:20:45] Speaker 6: I don't like this because now not only is it
[1:20:47] Speaker 6: somebody you know in my mind at this time not talking,
[1:20:50] Speaker 6: but they're paralleling me, so it's like they're stalking me.
[1:20:55] Speaker 6: So I keep walking up and as I get closer
[1:20:59] Speaker 6: to where there's like this little watering hole that they
[1:21:02] Speaker 6: actually dug with a with a I think like a
[1:21:05] Speaker 6: bacco or something, and they put the game camera up there,
[1:21:08] Speaker 6: you know, to see like what would come up there.
[1:21:11] Speaker 6: So the closer I get to it now, I start
[1:21:14] Speaker 6: to hear it's like a you know, almost like someone
[1:21:16] Speaker 6: smacking its chest, not like a rough grouse, because that's
[1:21:19] Speaker 6: a very anyone that's hurt those they know exactly what
[1:21:22] Speaker 6: that sounds like. This actually sounds like what I was
[1:21:24] Speaker 6: just doing, like that, like someone's smacking the chest and
[1:21:27] Speaker 6: it was huge. And then the like the bush starts shaking,
[1:21:32] Speaker 6: and that's when I start to hear you know, almost
[1:21:35] Speaker 6: like the Sierra sounds, but without like words to it.
[1:21:39] Speaker 6: So all this together is really confusing me because I'm like, what,
[1:21:43] Speaker 6: you know, what is I don't even know what's happening
[1:21:46] Speaker 6: right now, because as a wildlife biologist, I'm trying to
[1:21:49] Speaker 6: rationalize this because you know, it's like, well, that could
[1:21:52] Speaker 6: be you know, in my mind, I'm still thinking that
[1:21:53] Speaker 6: could be rough to grouse. But then what's gonna shake.
[1:21:57] Speaker 6: What's gonna shake the you know, that's a huge bush
[1:22:01] Speaker 6: that it's shaking. And I'm like, I don't know what's
[1:22:04] Speaker 6: going on now, And I was terrified because I'm like,
[1:22:08] Speaker 6: there's something here that's enormous, and you know, I did
[1:22:12] Speaker 6: the dumbest thing I've probably ever done in my life.
[1:22:14] Speaker 6: Jeremiah and anyone listening, dear God, don't ever do this.
[1:22:18] Speaker 6: You know. I'm like, haha, you know, oh, you know,
[1:22:21] Speaker 6: maybe it's sasquatch. Well, that was dumb that like to
[1:22:25] Speaker 6: even like take this as like not anything serious or
[1:22:27] Speaker 6: that I was in a bad situation.
[1:22:30] Speaker 5: So what did I do?
[1:22:33] Speaker 6: I just laughed because this is so stupid, Like, even
[1:22:35] Speaker 6: if you don't know what the animal is, you should
[1:22:38] Speaker 6: never like push to see. Oh am, I gonna you know,
[1:22:42] Speaker 6: instigated to do something doing something. I barred my teeth
[1:22:46] Speaker 6: like a chimp wood and then I did the back
[1:22:49] Speaker 6: to it with you know, smacking my chest. That's what
[1:22:52] Speaker 6: that noise is. That was the biggest mistake I've ever made.
[1:22:56] Speaker 6: Whatever that was barreled through there then, and it almost
[1:23:01] Speaker 6: I almost got the way I could see it, and
[1:23:03] Speaker 6: I was like, nope. I started to back up then
[1:23:06] Speaker 6: I kept my eyes facing towards the woodline and I
[1:23:10] Speaker 6: just walked slowly back and I just kept watching because
[1:23:13] Speaker 6: I'm like, I'm convinced at this point I'm gonna die.
[1:23:16] Speaker 6: Whatever that was was crashing through there, and I could
[1:23:19] Speaker 6: tell now this is no joke, Like things are real serious,
[1:23:23] Speaker 6: real quick, and I just felt like, whatever's here, if
[1:23:27] Speaker 6: it wants to, I'm dead. There's nothing I'm gonna do
[1:23:31] Speaker 6: because I know people say they've seen bear, but none
[1:23:34] Speaker 6: of this fits a bear, like the smiling, the shaking,
[1:23:37] Speaker 6: the thing I don't. I've heard there do weird noises,
[1:23:41] Speaker 6: but none of it like.
[1:23:42] Speaker 1: This wild stuff going on with that one in southwest Pennsylvania.
[1:23:47] Speaker 1: Definitely check it out, guys. Whole episode. It is episode seven.
[1:23:52] Speaker 1: Let's head on now to number two, the number two
[1:23:57] Speaker 1: most viewed episode of Big for Society on the YouTube
[1:24:01] Speaker 1: platform for twenty twenty five. Here it is episode number
[1:24:07] Speaker 1: seven fifty six. They found that Hunter torn apart. This
[1:24:14] Speaker 1: episode is an extremely intense conversation with Mark Plowboy Green
[1:24:22] Speaker 1: from down there in the foothills of Alabama, who had
[1:24:25] Speaker 1: some really incredible encounters down there by Creepy Mountain. This
[1:24:32] Speaker 1: is one that you really do not want to miss anything.
[1:24:37] Speaker 1: Any conversation with Mark Green is incredible, and you guys
[1:24:42] Speaker 1: loved this chat on the channel. So let's go ahead.
[1:24:45] Speaker 1: We're gonna play a clip of this.
[1:24:48] Speaker 5: You can check it out.
[1:24:50] Speaker 13: I had found me a big wide oak tree, very
[1:24:55] Speaker 13: big wide oak tree, and that's what I had, you know,
[1:24:58] Speaker 13: sitting down against and facing out into the green field
[1:25:01] Speaker 13: where I could see anything you know that would enter
[1:25:03] Speaker 13: the green field.
[1:25:04] Speaker 5: And behind me was a big swamp.
[1:25:07] Speaker 13: I was sitting there listening to beaver splash the water
[1:25:10] Speaker 13: and you know, and I could tell the water wasn't
[1:25:13] Speaker 13: too far behind me, maybe one hundred yards maybe something
[1:25:16] Speaker 13: like that. Well, about three point thirty that afternoon, two
[1:25:22] Speaker 13: doves entered into the field. They came from behind me
[1:25:26] Speaker 13: where the swamp was, and they went to feeding out
[1:25:29] Speaker 13: in the field. Of course, that got my hopes up
[1:25:32] Speaker 13: that later on, you know, a buck might be trailing them.
[1:25:38] Speaker 5: So, you know, I knew that.
[1:25:39] Speaker 13: Was a good thing by those two dogs coming in there,
[1:25:41] Speaker 13: that you know, they might.
[1:25:42] Speaker 5: Draw a buck.
[1:25:43] Speaker 13: And I so probably for a good thirty minutes or so,
[1:25:48] Speaker 13: the doors just feeding around, they'd raise their head, look
[1:25:51] Speaker 13: up a little bit and they'd go back to feeding.
[1:25:53] Speaker 13: Everything was going good, and probably sometime a little at four,
[1:26:00] Speaker 13: I said, I did not look at my watch. I
[1:26:02] Speaker 13: just knew it was getting late afternoon, probably around four fifteen.
[1:26:06] Speaker 13: Somewhere in that neck of the woods, I heard a
[1:26:09] Speaker 13: little commotion in the woods behind me. Of course, my
[1:26:13] Speaker 13: thoughts went to, here he comes, here comes the buck.
[1:26:16] Speaker 13: Of course the doves look straight up and look back.
[1:26:19] Speaker 13: They'd stare wild, and then they'd get relaxed again and
[1:26:23] Speaker 13: go back to eating. Well, this went on a couple
[1:26:25] Speaker 13: of times, and this probably done got to you know,
[1:26:29] Speaker 13: four point thirty somewhere in that neighborhood, and all of
[1:26:32] Speaker 13: a sudden, these two doors just throw their tails up
[1:26:36] Speaker 13: and blow and run out the opposite end of that
[1:26:39] Speaker 13: field fast as they could go. Well, of course, I'm thinking, oh, yeah,
[1:26:43] Speaker 13: that's a buck. He's fishing to bust out in this field,
[1:26:47] Speaker 13: and I'm gonna get a shot at him. But I
[1:26:50] Speaker 13: noticed he didn't come on you know, you know, this
[1:26:54] Speaker 13: is what I'm thinking in my head. He started kind
[1:26:57] Speaker 13: of moving in behind me slowly, and of course I'm
[1:27:01] Speaker 13: still thinking, well, maybe he winded me, you know, maybe
[1:27:04] Speaker 13: he got a with you know, wh of me, and
[1:27:07] Speaker 13: he's trying to get behind me to see if he
[1:27:09] Speaker 13: can get a better smell of me and see where
[1:27:11] Speaker 13: I'm at before, you know, because buck deer, they are
[1:27:15] Speaker 13: very cautious. This went on probably for another ten minutes
[1:27:21] Speaker 13: or so, and I could hear that subtle movement in
[1:27:24] Speaker 13: behind me, and I could tell it it's getting a
[1:27:25] Speaker 13: little closer to me, and my curiosity finally just got
[1:27:31] Speaker 13: the best of me, so I started easing up the
[1:27:35] Speaker 13: side of that tree. Of course, this tree was big
[1:27:38] Speaker 13: enough to conceal me. I don't know how many inches
[1:27:41] Speaker 13: around it was at least a forty eight fifty two
[1:27:44] Speaker 13: inch tree, so you know, it's pretty big. So he's
[1:27:50] Speaker 13: up and stand still for a minute or so, and
[1:27:53] Speaker 13: then I kind of peeped my head out from around
[1:27:55] Speaker 13: that tree, looking back into that swamp.
[1:27:59] Speaker 5: Didn't see nothing something for a minute or two.
[1:28:01] Speaker 13: Or what seemed like a minute or two, and all
[1:28:03] Speaker 13: of a sudden, I caught movement maybe sixty seventy feet
[1:28:08] Speaker 13: from me, and I got to looking, and I couldn't
[1:28:15] Speaker 13: really tell what I was looking at for a second
[1:28:16] Speaker 13: when I first flew it, but I knew.
[1:28:18] Speaker 5: Something was there.
[1:28:20] Speaker 13: And then first I thought I was looking at another
[1:28:23] Speaker 13: human because when it peeped out from around the tree,
[1:28:27] Speaker 13: it had a you know, human sort of shape to it,
[1:28:30] Speaker 13: and I could see the shoulders. But what struck me
[1:28:33] Speaker 13: out about this was it didn't have no orange on.
[1:28:37] Speaker 13: And of course I'm in my mind, I'm thinking, yes,
[1:28:40] Speaker 13: somebody that stuck up behind me, that I messed.
[1:28:42] Speaker 3: Up my hunting.
[1:28:44] Speaker 5: But also.
[1:28:46] Speaker 13: I didn't really quite you know, feel right about it
[1:28:49] Speaker 13: because I was looking at something I didn't have orange on.
[1:28:51] Speaker 13: So that day I had left my binocers at home.
[1:28:55] Speaker 13: I didn't bring them with me, so I'd done something
[1:28:57] Speaker 13: I shouldn't have. I pulled up my rifle, even though
[1:29:01] Speaker 13: that was just sixty seventy feet away. This place is
[1:29:05] Speaker 13: very full of palmettos about waist high. It's real thick
[1:29:09] Speaker 13: behind me, so you know, it was hard to judge
[1:29:13] Speaker 13: what I was really looking at. I just knew it might,
[1:29:15] Speaker 13: you know, kind of looked like I had a human
[1:29:16] Speaker 13: form to it. But I did put up my rifle,
[1:29:20] Speaker 13: looked down the scope, and of course that's when it
[1:29:24] Speaker 13: really poured it in, And that's when I could see
[1:29:28] Speaker 13: what looked like a shoulder with a hair on it,
[1:29:32] Speaker 13: part of the chest, stomach, airy, part of the leg
[1:29:35] Speaker 13: very hairy. And that's when I ended up bringing the
[1:29:39] Speaker 13: gun up to the you know, the scope up to
[1:29:41] Speaker 13: the head, and that's when I pretty much realized I
[1:29:47] Speaker 13: really wasn't looking at a human.
[1:29:50] Speaker 5: Could not see its face.
[1:29:54] Speaker 13: And then how I describe it is it's kind of
[1:29:57] Speaker 13: like the younger teenagers that wear the hair air where
[1:30:00] Speaker 13: it flips over in front of their face.
[1:30:02] Speaker 5: This is basically what it was, you know how it was.
[1:30:05] Speaker 13: It had its hair kind of hanging in its face
[1:30:07] Speaker 13: where I couldnot see facial features. This probably lasted maybe
[1:30:13] Speaker 13: ten or fifteen seconds that the.
[1:30:15] Speaker 5: Most I think.
[1:30:20] Speaker 13: When I raised a rifle, probably it thought I was
[1:30:24] Speaker 13: probably fixing to shoot it, because what it did was
[1:30:27] Speaker 13: it went down on all fours and shot out there
[1:30:30] Speaker 13: back into that into that swamp behind me. The first
[1:30:36] Speaker 13: thing I noticed is when it left how fast it was.
[1:30:39] Speaker 13: That this could catch a deer if it wanted to.
[1:30:41] Speaker 13: This moved a lot faster than the deer. I mean,
[1:30:45] Speaker 13: I had never seen anything move that fast when it left,
[1:30:49] Speaker 13: and of course it went on all fours, so I
[1:30:51] Speaker 13: wouldn't never to see it as good because it got
[1:30:54] Speaker 13: down kind of even with the palmettos. Of course, it's
[1:31:00] Speaker 13: eating on close to dark. Fear came into you know,
[1:31:05] Speaker 13: came you know, struck me because I knew then I
[1:31:09] Speaker 13: didn't see you know whatn't a human I was looking at, so, uh,
[1:31:14] Speaker 13: you know, I started getting scared, getting dark, so I
[1:31:16] Speaker 13: decided to come on out of there. I started walking
[1:31:21] Speaker 13: up the field, and I was looking back behind.
[1:31:23] Speaker 5: Me a good bit too.
[1:31:26] Speaker 13: Got up to about where my friend was in the
[1:31:28] Speaker 13: middle and hollered his name out. He come on out
[1:31:31] Speaker 13: of the woods, and I asked him if he you know,
[1:31:35] Speaker 13: seeing anything, hurt anything. He said, now, it's been he said,
[1:31:38] Speaker 13: it's just been definitely quiet in here. I said, we
[1:31:40] Speaker 13: did you see anybody or anything? He said now, I said, what,
[1:31:43] Speaker 13: I've seen something, and he didn't say much back when
[1:31:48] Speaker 13: we just kept on walking. We got up at the
[1:31:51] Speaker 13: end of the field and realized her other friend had
[1:31:53] Speaker 13: done come out went to the truck.
[1:31:55] Speaker 8: Uh.
[1:31:56] Speaker 13: So we got onto the truck and we were, you know,
[1:31:59] Speaker 13: of course, getting ready to put her stuff up, and
[1:32:02] Speaker 13: mother friend looked at me and said, Mark, what's wrong?
[1:32:06] Speaker 13: And I said, wait a minute. He said, well, you
[1:32:09] Speaker 13: white as a sheep. I said, well, I've just seen
[1:32:12] Speaker 13: something down there in that swamp down there, and he
[1:32:16] Speaker 13: and we kind of left it at that.
[1:32:17] Speaker 5: I didn't say nothing else about it.
[1:32:19] Speaker 13: We drove home, we didn't talk about it. I didn't
[1:32:21] Speaker 13: bring it back up. The next day, he gives me
[1:32:26] Speaker 13: a call and he said, you seen the big foot yesterday,
[1:32:33] Speaker 13: didn't he? I said, how you know? I said, well,
[1:32:37] Speaker 13: that's what I think it is. I said, well, how
[1:32:39] Speaker 13: you know? He said, because I've done seen them before myself,
[1:32:42] Speaker 13: and come to find out that he'd seen them on.
[1:32:44] Speaker 5: His property right here where we live at.
[1:32:47] Speaker 13: So that's my first sighting and encounter that I know
[1:32:55] Speaker 13: of that where I actually physically, you know, laid eyes
[1:32:58] Speaker 13: on one. It was probably in the twenty to six
[1:33:05] Speaker 13: and seven foot range. Kind of a brownish color, not
[1:33:12] Speaker 13: real dark brown, but i'd say a lot brown color.
[1:33:17] Speaker 13: And what I could tell out of it, you know,
[1:33:19] Speaker 13: what little bit I could really tell, you know, it
[1:33:23] Speaker 13: was a real bulky, beefed up.
[1:33:26] Speaker 5: You know, it was more like you looking what I
[1:33:28] Speaker 5: was looking at.
[1:33:31] Speaker 1: I'm gonna go listen to the episode right now, but
[1:33:33] Speaker 1: I'm not because we got one more. We got the
[1:33:37] Speaker 1: number one most viewed episode released in twenty twenty five
[1:33:42] Speaker 1: for Big for Society on YouTube. Here we go, get
[1:33:45] Speaker 1: ready it is Peoria County is full of them. I
[1:33:50] Speaker 1: was not expecting it. You weren't expecting it. But man,
[1:33:53] Speaker 1: you guys loved that episode. It blew the other numbers
[1:33:59] Speaker 1: and stats away by a ton. So it's a great
[1:34:04] Speaker 1: episode though. I mean, Bill had some great things to
[1:34:08] Speaker 1: share his encounter near Jubilee College State Park in Peoria,
[1:34:12] Speaker 1: and people love to hear encounters that are happening in
[1:34:15] Speaker 1: this area of central Illinois. It's wild. It blew me away.
[1:34:20] Speaker 1: It wasn't an Oregon episode, it wasn't a Washington episode.
[1:34:23] Speaker 1: It was a Midwest Illinois episode. Check out this clip
[1:34:29] Speaker 1: and then listen to it for yourself.
[1:34:32] Speaker 5: Well, i'll tell.
[1:34:33] Speaker 14: You, Jeremiah, as I say, I'll tell you, I was
[1:34:36] Speaker 14: a skeptic until two thousand and eleven May fifth, to
[1:34:40] Speaker 14: be exact, twenty eleven, I had my first experience here
[1:34:44] Speaker 14: in puer Tony, excuse me, and I was out morell
[1:34:50] Speaker 14: mushroom honeing on private property and not too far, probably
[1:34:56] Speaker 14: approximately about five miles from Jubilee College State Art I'm
[1:35:02] Speaker 14: very aware of the property. I've hunted there for years.
[1:35:07] Speaker 14: There hunted, turkey hunted, squirrel hunted, you name it, I've
[1:35:10] Speaker 14: done it. Just that one day, I took my lab uh.
[1:35:16] Speaker 14: She was a female dogab a door retriever I took
[1:35:19] Speaker 14: care of with me, very obedient, and I decided to
[1:35:23] Speaker 14: go out to a spot that I've always hunted for years,
[1:35:26] Speaker 14: probably a dozen years in or you know, prior to
[1:35:30] Speaker 14: this incident. As I was walking through it, got out
[1:35:34] Speaker 14: of my pickup truck. It was a nice sunny day.
[1:35:37] Speaker 14: It wasn't no cloud cover or anything. And as I
[1:35:41] Speaker 14: got in there started walking through, my dog went ahead
[1:35:44] Speaker 14: of me as it normally did, and she started walking away.
[1:35:49] Speaker 14: And the next thing you know, I'm looking around. I'm
[1:35:52] Speaker 14: starting to pick up my shrooms, and I hear a
[1:35:56] Speaker 14: noise off to my lap. And when I mean noise
[1:36:00] Speaker 14: is as trees cracking. I heard the lees brushing, you know,
[1:36:04] Speaker 14: if someone had been walking. And first thing come to
[1:36:08] Speaker 14: my mind is maybe it's either someone in turkey hunting
[1:36:11] Speaker 14: or or a deer running to you know, running through
[1:36:14] Speaker 14: the timber, running through the brush. I stopped, but I
[1:36:20] Speaker 14: knew something was watching me. I had that eary feeling
[1:36:23] Speaker 14: something was watching me. Most hunters will tell you when
[1:36:27] Speaker 14: you're in the woods, uh, you know, out in no Tember,
[1:36:30] Speaker 14: if you're hunting, most animals, squirrels, birds, when they see it,
[1:36:35] Speaker 14: they'll stop. They'll go dead silent. That day, it was
[1:36:42] Speaker 14: so quiet you could hear a pin drop. And as
[1:36:46] Speaker 14: I looked over to my left, I thought I had
[1:36:49] Speaker 14: seen something, some movement. I wasn't for sure, so I
[1:36:55] Speaker 14: act like I was pretending I still knew something was there.
[1:36:58] Speaker 14: I act like I was still going to pick up mushrooms.
[1:37:02] Speaker 14: So when I kneeled down, there's an old deer trail there,
[1:37:06] Speaker 14: and I kneeled down, and as I kneeled down, I
[1:37:09] Speaker 14: was looking around, trying to scout the area, like where
[1:37:11] Speaker 14: you at?
[1:37:12] Speaker 6: Who is it?
[1:37:14] Speaker 14: All of a sudden, I hear a big yell. I yelled,
[1:37:17] Speaker 14: and I've never heard in my life. When it yelled,
[1:37:23] Speaker 14: I kind of like, oh, you know, what's just the
[1:37:26] Speaker 14: same O Kyle and the Center. Now I ain't no
[1:37:29] Speaker 14: human being, And I just pretended like I was going to,
[1:37:34] Speaker 14: you know, pick up mushrooms again. And in my mind,
[1:37:40] Speaker 14: I'm thinking that wasn't.
[1:37:41] Speaker 10: Nobody, no man.
[1:37:42] Speaker 14: He couldn't yell that loud and deepness of it, and
[1:37:46] Speaker 14: it scared me. I was scared. Then again, about maybe
[1:37:51] Speaker 14: ten seconds later, I heard another one, and then I
[1:37:53] Speaker 14: could hear trees breaking, branch is breaking off, and I
[1:37:57] Speaker 14: could hear the you know, the footsteps, so I knew
[1:38:00] Speaker 14: it wasn't a deer. And the second thing had come
[1:38:03] Speaker 14: on my mind is maybe somebody's out here turkey hunting
[1:38:07] Speaker 14: and they're running through the woods and I spooked them
[1:38:10] Speaker 14: or something, you know. And it ended up it wasn't
[1:38:13] Speaker 14: fat either. As I went on hounting the mushrooms, I
[1:38:19] Speaker 14: stopped up. I took a few steps. I could hear
[1:38:21] Speaker 14: the brushing in the trees cracking off to my left,
[1:38:27] Speaker 14: and when I would say probimately maybe, I would say
[1:38:31] Speaker 14: forty feet maybe if that. All of a sudden, here
[1:38:36] Speaker 14: comes my dog running back to me with her hitting
[1:38:38] Speaker 14: her tail between her legs all the way up to
[1:38:41] Speaker 14: her belly, and her hair up from her neck all
[1:38:45] Speaker 14: the way down to her back, and she had her
[1:38:48] Speaker 14: head down in a submission, and she was grown and
[1:38:51] Speaker 14: looking off to where I had heard the sounds, and
[1:38:55] Speaker 14: I said, oh, my dog scared something over there. She
[1:38:58] Speaker 14: wouldn't be doing that. The dog came running towards me
[1:39:02] Speaker 14: and it laid down in front of me on my feet,
[1:39:06] Speaker 14: and I told her to stay, and she was turning
[1:39:09] Speaker 14: off round towards where I was hearing the trees break,
[1:39:12] Speaker 14: and I.
[1:39:12] Speaker 6: Heard the yell.
[1:39:15] Speaker 14: And again I heard another yell, and the dog started.
[1:39:17] Speaker 6: To bar.
[1:39:19] Speaker 14: And all, and it scared me to the point where
[1:39:24] Speaker 14: I just sat still for a few seconds, and I said,
[1:39:26] Speaker 14: it's going to get me. It's got me now, I
[1:39:29] Speaker 14: have nothing on me and my dog. I grabbed the
[1:39:34] Speaker 14: dog by the collar and I walked backwards. I jumped
[1:39:38] Speaker 14: into the put her into the passenger side pickup that
[1:39:42] Speaker 14: I was driving, and I was pulled on this side
[1:39:46] Speaker 14: of the beanfield. There's a little area where the tractors
[1:39:49] Speaker 14: go up along the fields to do the corn fields
[1:39:52] Speaker 14: and the beanfields, and I was parked there, so I
[1:39:56] Speaker 14: backed up. I went probably it was the only I
[1:40:00] Speaker 14: mean maybe fifty feet from where I was parked at.
[1:40:05] Speaker 14: So I back up, got the dog in the truck,
[1:40:08] Speaker 14: and I went to go around. I thought, if this
[1:40:09] Speaker 14: thing's gonna get me, it's gonna get me now. I
[1:40:13] Speaker 14: hurried up, got the truck and I got out of
[1:40:16] Speaker 14: there as fast as I could have. Backed the truck
[1:40:18] Speaker 14: up in reverse, got all the way over into the
[1:40:20] Speaker 14: other end. I back up about three blocks, turned and
[1:40:24] Speaker 14: went down the road and I went down on the
[1:40:27] Speaker 14: property approximately about a mile and a half from where
[1:40:30] Speaker 14: I was at, on.
[1:40:31] Speaker 6: The opposite side of the timber.
[1:40:34] Speaker 14: So I thought I was safe, and I was trying
[1:40:36] Speaker 14: to get my mind like what did I just hear
[1:40:38] Speaker 14: and see it?
[1:40:39] Speaker 6: Wow?
[1:40:39] Speaker 14: You know, And my dog wouldn't even get out of
[1:40:42] Speaker 14: the truck. It was that scare. And anybody that knows
[1:40:47] Speaker 14: Poya County or the state, you can look at up
[1:40:50] Speaker 14: or google it. Pickle Pool Creeks got tribertaries off of that,
[1:40:55] Speaker 14: and it's not far from the property. It's on the
[1:40:57] Speaker 14: property of joining property I was on, but there's tributaries
[1:41:02] Speaker 14: that go off onto this property.
[1:41:03] Speaker 6: Also.
[1:41:04] Speaker 14: It's not real deep, probably a few inches, but it's
[1:41:07] Speaker 14: always flown and we used to keep cattle on that side.
[1:41:13] Speaker 14: And I went in over on that side, I think,
[1:41:16] Speaker 14: and I would be okay. And I walked down into
[1:41:19] Speaker 14: an area heavy and thorns and brushed temple. When I
[1:41:24] Speaker 14: get down there, I see a bunch of footprints tracks
[1:41:29] Speaker 14: and it goes across the creek and up a thirty
[1:41:32] Speaker 14: foot in the bank, and it was a about a
[1:41:36] Speaker 14: four inch tree sticking out of the side of the hill,
[1:41:40] Speaker 14: and it was broke freshly off, and the track looked
[1:41:43] Speaker 14: like it took four feet across one foot. You could
[1:41:47] Speaker 14: see where it went up the hill and broke the tree,
[1:41:50] Speaker 14: and then it was gone.
[1:41:51] Speaker 10: It was that was it.
[1:41:54] Speaker 14: I went ahead. I just went decided to go back
[1:41:57] Speaker 14: to the farmhouse. And I get out and I go
[1:42:01] Speaker 14: to the woman that owns the property, and she was
[1:42:04] Speaker 14: in her mid eighties. She was out in the lawn
[1:42:08] Speaker 14: and she was messing with the garden, and she they
[1:42:11] Speaker 14: my nickname was called Elmer, h cause I'm sure and
[1:42:15] Speaker 14: that's my nickname. And the lady there goes, hey, Almer,
[1:42:20] Speaker 14: what have you been doing with my horses out here?
[1:42:24] Speaker 14: She said, somebody's been coming out here all week and
[1:42:27] Speaker 14: my horses have been jumping like you're in a rodeo.
[1:42:31] Speaker 14: And her name's Mildred. And I said, well, Mildred, I
[1:42:33] Speaker 14: don't come out here at two thirty in the morning
[1:42:35] Speaker 14: or twelve o'clock at night or anything else. I said,
[1:42:38] Speaker 14: that wasn't me. And I said, what do you mean
[1:42:41] Speaker 14: they're acting up? And she said, yeah, one jump the fence.
[1:42:44] Speaker 14: She said, something's been spooking them all week. And my
[1:42:49] Speaker 14: brother in law who was a well known tracker and hunter.
[1:42:52] Speaker 14: His name was William. He was a caretaker there also
[1:42:58] Speaker 14: like a handyman on him all alive, and he pulled
[1:43:04] Speaker 14: up and he goes, hey, what's going on? He heard
[1:43:06] Speaker 14: her asking me about the horses. Then he goes, well,
[1:43:11] Speaker 14: I told him what had happened, and I said, no,
[1:43:15] Speaker 14: horses have been acting up, and she thought that was me.
[1:43:17] Speaker 14: I said, but I want to tell you what just
[1:43:19] Speaker 14: happened to me. He looked at me plenty and goes home.
[1:43:22] Speaker 14: He goes, you know, that's strange. These horses had been
[1:43:24] Speaker 14: acting up. I wonder if they didn't, you know, something
[1:43:28] Speaker 14: they didn't censor. And where I found the traps at Jeremiah,
[1:43:33] Speaker 14: we're right below where the horses walk out of the barn.
[1:43:37] Speaker 6: It's like a.
[1:43:37] Speaker 14: Little pasture area that goes down into the creek. And
[1:43:43] Speaker 14: that was in twenty eleven. They filed two eleven in
[1:43:47] Speaker 14: the Big Back. I'll never forget that day.
[1:43:50] Speaker 1: Congrats, Bill, you got the number one viewed episode of
[1:43:54] Speaker 1: Big for Society that was recorded in twenty twenty five.
[1:43:57] Speaker 1: Pure County is Full of Them episode se an hour
[1:44:00] Speaker 1: three good. Check it out, guys. I look back on
[1:44:04] Speaker 1: twenty twenty five and the conversations that I have had
[1:44:08] Speaker 1: are incredible, and I'm so thankful to each and every
[1:44:11] Speaker 1: one of you for coming forward with your account, going
[1:44:18] Speaker 1: through the potential ridicule and the people making fun of you.
[1:44:24] Speaker 1: But this isn't stopping people. They're reaching out to me
[1:44:29] Speaker 1: every day, tons of emails daily. I'm doing my best
[1:44:32] Speaker 1: to keep up with the emails, inviting people to the show.
[1:44:40] Speaker 1: An episode by episode, we are getting the truth out
[1:44:43] Speaker 1: there about what people are experiencing. And maybe twenty twenty
[1:44:49] Speaker 1: six will be the year where who knows Bigfoot disclosure
[1:44:55] Speaker 1: it's coming out there. Will the government say, hey, yeah,
[1:44:59] Speaker 1: Bigfoot's real. Well ups are real. Guess what so is Bigfoot?
[1:45:03] Speaker 1: It could happen, guys, it really could. We just have
[1:45:05] Speaker 1: to keep pushing the more content that is released on
[1:45:09] Speaker 1: the internet about Bigfoot. I think it's like putting water
[1:45:12] Speaker 1: in a bathtub. Eventually it will overflow and it can't
[1:45:17] Speaker 1: be held back anymore. So episodes on my show, any
[1:45:22] Speaker 1: other of the Bigfoot podcasts that you know and love,
[1:45:26] Speaker 1: reach out to. If not me, reach out to anyone
[1:45:29] Speaker 1: else out there. But I would really appreciate it. If
[1:45:32] Speaker 1: you reached out to me, send me an email Bigfoot
[1:45:35] Speaker 1: societyagmail dot com. Also, if you know a friend or
[1:45:40] Speaker 1: a family member, or anyone who's into Bigfoot or weird
[1:45:43] Speaker 1: stuff or sasquatch and they've never heard the show, if
[1:45:48] Speaker 1: you really, really really want to help us grow in
[1:45:51] Speaker 1: twenty twenty six, I hope that you do, because we're
[1:45:56] Speaker 1: going take this episode and share this episod with them.
[1:46:00] Speaker 1: It's a great example of the best episodes of the show,
[1:46:06] Speaker 1: and it'll get them kind of interested and they'll want
[1:46:09] Speaker 1: to hopefully hear more. So please, if you want to
[1:46:13] Speaker 1: help out me in a way that doesn't cost you anything,
[1:46:16] Speaker 1: it's super easy to do. Just take this episode, take
[1:46:20] Speaker 1: a link of it and text it to your friend,
[1:46:23] Speaker 1: text it to your family member, anyone who would be
[1:46:26] Speaker 1: interested in hearing it. And again, thank you so much
[1:46:30] Speaker 1: everyone who's listening to the show, sharing it, reaching out
[1:46:34] Speaker 1: to me. I appreciate you guys more than you could
[1:46:37] Speaker 1: ever know. Thanks for listening. Have you ever heard all
[1:46:41] Speaker 1: the accounts of bigfoot activity around Oakridge, Oregon and you
[1:46:45] Speaker 1: think to yourself, Man, I would love to get out
[1:46:48] Speaker 1: in those woods and experience it for myself. Well, guess
[1:46:51] Speaker 1: what this year you can If this is interesting to you,
[1:46:56] Speaker 1: stay tuned because it's pretty cool. Sasquatch Summaryfest is coming
[1:47:01] Speaker 1: up July tenth through the eleventh, twenty twenty six. It's
[1:47:05] Speaker 1: gonna be even better than the previous year's reason number one,
[1:47:10] Speaker 1: I'll be one of the speakers. It's gonna be wild.
[1:47:12] Speaker 1: I'll probably I'll say this. There may be stuff you
[1:47:18] Speaker 1: haven't heard anywhere else, because let's just say sometimes it's well,
[1:47:24] Speaker 1: you just gotta be there. We'll leave at that. More
[1:47:27] Speaker 1: about looking for Bigfoot in the Oakridge Woods. Now check
[1:47:30] Speaker 1: this out. You may know Jason Kenzie from his documentary
[1:47:35] Speaker 1: series Searching for Sasquatch. Well, this year you can not
[1:47:40] Speaker 1: only go to the festival, but you can also sign
[1:47:44] Speaker 1: up for a track deep in the wild forest outside
[1:47:51] Speaker 1: of Oakridge with Jason Kenzie to the Bigfoot spots to
[1:47:56] Speaker 1: look for Bigfoot. There's only eight spots to sign up
[1:47:59] Speaker 1: for this. And yes, this will also be filmed for
[1:48:03] Speaker 1: the next chapter in his documentary series, which is Searching
[1:48:06] Speaker 1: for Sasquatch. This is a once in a lifetime deal.
[1:48:09] Speaker 1: It's just trust it's going to be a wild Wild Experience.
[1:48:14] Speaker 1: To get a ticket, head on over to Sasquatch Summerfest
[1:48:17] Speaker 1: dot com and listeners can use the code b SP

[1:48:35] Speaker 1: that you guys can can get a little help with
[1:48:41] Speaker 1: the costs there. Appreciate that, Priscilla. I hope to see
[1:48:45] Speaker 1: you at the booth in Oakridge this year. We can
[1:48:49] Speaker 1: talk about your encounter. Was able to talk to so
[1:48:51] Speaker 1: many people last year and the year before. It is
[1:48:55] Speaker 1: an incredible time. You're not going to want to miss it,
[1:48:58] Speaker 1: and I'll see you there. Before we wrap this episode,
[1:49:03] Speaker 1: I want to say something directly to a very specific
[1:49:05] Speaker 1: group of listeners. If you're in the military, any branch
[1:49:09] Speaker 1: or forces, and if you've seen something that no one
[1:49:12] Speaker 1: can explain, or if you're a National park ranger or
[1:49:15] Speaker 1: forestry worker who's been told to stay quiet, or if
[1:49:19] Speaker 1: you're a pilot who's seen something strange down on the ground,
[1:49:23] Speaker 1: or if you're with the FBI a federal agency, or
[1:49:25] Speaker 1: working intelligence and you've stumbled upon something you're not allowed
[1:49:29] Speaker 1: to talk about, and if you're a firefighter, paramedic, or
[1:49:32] Speaker 1: search and rescue responder who's heard screams or found tracks
[1:49:36] Speaker 1: that didn't make sense. If you're in the logging industry
[1:49:40] Speaker 1: on a remote oil field, or a trucker with government
[1:49:43] Speaker 1: contracts and you've had something happen that you've never told
[1:49:46] Speaker 1: a soul. And if you're a biologist, a wildlife specialist,
[1:49:50] Speaker 1: or a field researcher under contract who has found evidence
[1:49:54] Speaker 1: you're not allowed to report. If you're a pastor, a missionary,
[1:49:58] Speaker 1: or someone on a spiritual retreat and you saw something
[1:50:01] Speaker 1: that shook your faith, or if you work in the shadows, CIA,
[1:50:05] Speaker 1: NSA or anything with clearance and you've seen what the
[1:50:08] Speaker 1: public hasn't, then I want to talk to you, even
[1:50:13] Speaker 1: if it's anonymous. You can reach me at Bigfoot Society
[1:50:18] Speaker 1: at gmail dot com. The world needs to hear what
[1:50:21] Speaker 1: you've been forced to carry alone, and you're not alone.
[1:50:26] Speaker 1: You've got the story, We've got the mic. See you
[1:50:31] Speaker 1: in the woods. Thank you for listening to this episode
[1:50:33] Speaker 1: of the Bigfoot Society podcast. Every encounter we share reminds
[1:50:37] Speaker 1: us that the world is bigger and stranger than we think,
[1:50:40] Speaker 1: and that the truth is often Hiding just Beyond the
[1:50:42] Speaker 1: tree line. If you enjoyed this episode, please be sure
