[0:17] Speaker 1: I'm ghosted. I gos nandas police. Hey boo, it's me
[0:29] Speaker 1: Roz and welcome to Ghosted by Roz Hernandez, the podcast
[0:35] Speaker 1: where I talk to people that I like about the paranormal.
[0:41] Speaker 1: I got to talk to George Severis, who is a
[0:44] Speaker 1: hilarious comedian based in New York City, and he's great.
[0:49] Speaker 1: We've done We've done some stuff to while I was
[0:52] Speaker 1: on his other podcast that he's got called Stradio Lab.
[0:55] Speaker 1: But today we talked a little bit about a new
[0:57] Speaker 1: one he's got that is about the Kennedy family and
[1:02] Speaker 1: sort of breaking down some of their history and it
[1:05] Speaker 1: is called United States of Kennedy and so we will
[1:08] Speaker 1: get into that. We'll hear a little bit about some
[1:12] Speaker 1: Greek superstitions from George, and we've got some important stuff.
[1:18] Speaker 2: Oh.
[1:18] Speaker 1: This episode, I went to a couple of Etsy psychics
[1:24] Speaker 1: because I want to know what my soulmate's gonna look like,
[1:28] Speaker 1: and they drew them for me. So we're going to
[1:32] Speaker 1: talk about that. And don't you worry, I'm going to
[1:35] Speaker 1: put a clip with all the pictures and all of
[1:39] Speaker 1: that stuff on our Instagram, which is of course ghosted
[1:45] Speaker 1: by ros. All right, when I tell you, I've got
[1:50] Speaker 1: a very interesting inbox from my email, which is of
[1:54] Speaker 1: course ghosted by Rows at gmail dot com. So I
[2:00] Speaker 1: met these cute gentlemen of the gay persuasion at one
[2:06] Speaker 1: of my shows. It was in Minneapolis, beautiful, beautiful venue,
[2:12] Speaker 1: lush sold out show that you know that was an
[2:16] Speaker 1: interesting show because that was the only city I went
[2:19] Speaker 1: to where multiple different parties in the audience brought with
[2:25] Speaker 1: them their haunted dolls. Their actual haunted dolls were audience members. Fascinating,
[2:33] Speaker 1: fascinating town. So I may I meet at my meet
[2:36] Speaker 1: and greet this adorable gay couple. And the one says, oh,
[2:41] Speaker 1: I got to tell you about the time a ghost
[2:44] Speaker 1: watched me get my ass eight. And I said, you
[2:47] Speaker 1: know what, I've had a long day, I traveled, I
[2:51] Speaker 1: did my show. I'm selling my merch right now. Can
[2:55] Speaker 1: you please email me that? Well, sure enough I got
[2:58] Speaker 1: this email. This one came from Travis uh and the
[3:03] Speaker 1: subject line is dead Grandma watched me get my assay.
[3:06] Speaker 1: Travis writes, about two years ago from my boyfriend and
[3:10] Speaker 1: i's first year anniversary. He took me to his family's
[3:14] Speaker 1: lake house in Pepin, Wisconsin. Or is it Peepin'. I'm
[3:19] Speaker 1: not sure. I think it might have been peeping. The
[3:22] Speaker 1: way the story goes, this lake house was built by
[3:26] Speaker 1: his grandpa and grandma, and his grandma loved the house
[3:29] Speaker 1: so much that she said, quote, I never want to
[3:34] Speaker 1: live outside of this house. When the family forced her
[3:37] Speaker 1: to move into assisted living, she died that very same
[3:42] Speaker 1: day of natural causes. They wrote in parentheses, we love
[3:46] Speaker 1: a woman with strong boundaries. My boyfriend was obsessed with
[3:50] Speaker 1: his grandma and the whole way to I'm calling it peepin.
[3:56] Speaker 1: He kept telling me, quote, I wish you got to
[4:00] Speaker 1: meet her because she would have loved you. About two
[4:04] Speaker 1: hours later, my boyfriend and I start fooling around in
[4:08] Speaker 1: the living room. No one else was home, and you know,
[4:13] Speaker 1: I really appreciate Travis painting a picture for me, But
[4:17] Speaker 1: I'm gonna omit some of these, some of these. But
[4:21] Speaker 1: let's just say Travis was getting his life, okay. He
[4:25] Speaker 1: then writes, when all was said and done, Travis's boyfriend
[4:29] Speaker 1: gave me a tour of the house. There's a little
[4:32] Speaker 1: room off the hallway, which he said was his grandma's
[4:36] Speaker 1: favorite room because it was her sewing room. Well, later
[4:40] Speaker 1: that same night, I got up to p and the
[4:43] Speaker 1: bathroom directly looks down the hallway towards the sewing room.
[4:47] Speaker 1: I look up after I leave the bathroom, and I
[4:50] Speaker 1: see a figure standing at the end of the hall.
[4:54] Speaker 1: So I said, Rex, are you okay? That's Travis's boyfriend's name,
[5:00] Speaker 1: and the figure, who was staring at me so intensely,
[5:04] Speaker 1: just turned and walked into the sewing room. I ran
[5:08] Speaker 1: into the bedroom and woke my boyfriend up, and he
[5:11] Speaker 1: casually said, that's so sweet. My grandma got to finally
[5:16] Speaker 1: meet you. And I responded, she just watched me get
[5:20] Speaker 1: my whole eight and annihilated for over an hour. This
[5:24] Speaker 1: is not good. And then he goes, she's an ally
[5:30] Speaker 1: and he fell back asleep. And now the two of
[5:34] Speaker 1: them they've been together for years. I mean, this is
[5:38] Speaker 1: really this is really beautiful stuff here. Thank you to
[5:42] Speaker 1: Travis and Rex for that story. I really do appreciate
[5:45] Speaker 1: that if any of you listening have got a story similar,
[5:50] Speaker 1: please send it to me. I mean, I've done this
[5:54] Speaker 1: podcast since twenty eighteen, and that's the first time I've
[5:59] Speaker 1: gotten one like that, and I loved every second of it,
[6:04] Speaker 1: So thank you, thank you for that. Of course, it's
[6:07] Speaker 1: the fall. I'm working on getting you some new videos
[6:11] Speaker 1: of me ghost hunting in hotel rooms, so please go
[6:16] Speaker 1: check those out on my YouTube Roz Hernandez the Haunted Doll. Okay,
[6:25] Speaker 1: here is my conversation with comedian George Savers on with
[6:32] Speaker 1: the show Oh my record, I am currently looking over
[6:48] Speaker 1: zoom at the angelic George Severs.
[6:53] Speaker 2: Hi, Hi, finally we can Kiki.
[6:57] Speaker 1: You look beautiful and you've got so many books behind you.
[7:00] Speaker 2: I do you know what I actually have? I don't
[7:03] Speaker 2: know if you can tell. There's a blue light that's
[7:04] Speaker 2: coming over this side of my face.
[7:05] Speaker 1: Oh I can tell.
[7:07] Speaker 2: So there's construction happening outside my door. In fact, I
[7:10] Speaker 2: don't know if this was relayed to you or if
[7:11] Speaker 2: they were protecting the talent, but I almost canceled with
[7:15] Speaker 2: ten minutes to go today because the construction was happening
[7:19] Speaker 2: literally outside my window, Like the person was hanging outside
[7:24] Speaker 2: the height of my sixth floor apartment and literally banging
[7:28] Speaker 2: on the window and playing music out of a speaker.
[7:32] Speaker 2: But the point is they have put this blue tinted
[7:35] Speaker 2: plastic wrap over my window.
[7:37] Speaker 1: It's really working for you.
[7:39] Speaker 2: It's amazing. It's actually kind of like Blade Runner esque
[7:42] Speaker 2: or something. One of my one side of my face
[7:45] Speaker 2: is illuminated blue and the other one is almost is
[7:48] Speaker 2: red because I have a light turned on over there.
[7:51] Speaker 1: It's sort of that bisexual lighting.
[7:53] Speaker 2: It is a little bit of a bisexual lighting.
[7:55] Speaker 1: Yes, what's the deal you're Are you a history person?
[7:58] Speaker 1: Because I know you got this new podcast about the Kennedys.
[8:02] Speaker 2: That's right, So the Kennedy thing. So I'm hosting, a
[8:04] Speaker 2: co hosting a new podcast. It's called United States of
[8:07] Speaker 2: Kennedy and it's all about the Kennedy So each episode
[8:10] Speaker 2: is about a different element of the Kennedy story. Now,
[8:13] Speaker 2: to answer your question, I'm really not a history of person.
[8:16] Speaker 2: This was like a It sort of came to me
[8:19] Speaker 2: and I was like, I don't know anything about the Kennedy's,
[8:22] Speaker 2: but it sounds interesting. Lyra Smith, who's the other co host,
[8:25] Speaker 2: that was her passion project. She had have been developing
[8:27] Speaker 2: it for a year. They had all these research documents
[8:30] Speaker 2: and so every week I get to read this like
[8:33] Speaker 2: forty page research document about a different thing, and now
[8:37] Speaker 2: I know so much about American history. It's crazy.
[8:40] Speaker 1: Yeah, these Kennedy people, there's a lot of drama there,
[8:44] Speaker 1: now I know.
[8:45] Speaker 2: Well, So I've always been like, what is at the
[8:47] Speaker 2: root of everyone's obsession with the Kennedys, Like it's not
[8:51] Speaker 2: something that naturally I gravitated towards. And now doing this
[8:55] Speaker 2: for a few months, I'm like kind of obsessed in
[8:57] Speaker 2: a way that I did not expect.
[8:59] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, we definitely. Now, I just got to ask,
[9:04] Speaker 1: what are your thoughts when people talk about the curse?
[9:07] Speaker 2: I know, and I knew this would come up because
[9:10] Speaker 2: of course that is the paranormal connection. So here are
[9:13] Speaker 2: my thoughts about the curse. So for anyone who doesn't know,
[9:16] Speaker 2: there's this idea that there's a curse hanging over the
[9:18] Speaker 2: Kennedy family, and a lot of Kennedy's have died young.
[9:21] Speaker 2: A lot of Kennedy's have died in very tragic circumstances.
[9:24] Speaker 2: There have been a lot of plane crashes, car crashes,
[9:29] Speaker 2: and then more sort of traditional things you might expect
[9:32] Speaker 2: in an Irish family from Massachusetts, by which I do
[9:37] Speaker 2: mean alcoholism, and so there is a lot happening. Obviously
[9:42] Speaker 2: JFK was assassinated. Bobby Kennedy was assassinated. JFK Jr. And
[9:47] Speaker 2: his wife, Carolyn Bessett died in a plane crash. Joe
[9:51] Speaker 2: Kennedy Junior, who was supposed to be the one that
[9:54] Speaker 2: the father wanted to be president, died during the war,
[9:57] Speaker 2: and so there's always been this idea of a Kenny curse.
[10:01] Speaker 2: Here's two interesting things about it.
[10:03] Speaker 1: Okay.
[10:04] Speaker 2: Do you know when the first time Kennedy mentioned the
[10:10] Speaker 2: curse was?
[10:11] Speaker 1: Oh, I don't even know about them talking about it
[10:13] Speaker 1: at all.
[10:14] Speaker 2: Okay. So does the idea of chap Equittic ring any
[10:18] Speaker 2: bells for you?
[10:20] Speaker 1: Yes? I actually have watched a documentary or two about them.
[10:23] Speaker 2: Okay. So if for anyone who doesn't know Ted Kennedy,
[10:26] Speaker 2: who is in fact still alive. He was one of
[10:29] Speaker 2: JFK's siblings. At one point when he was younger, accidentally
[10:35] Speaker 2: drove a car off of a bridge in chap Equittic,
[10:38] Speaker 2: which is an island in Massachusetts, and a woman that
[10:43] Speaker 2: was in the passenger seat died as a result of that.
[10:45] Speaker 2: So he survived. He basically fled the scene of the crime.
[10:49] Speaker 2: He did not report it to the police immediately until
[10:51] Speaker 2: like the morning after and the woman that was in
[10:54] Speaker 2: the passenger seat, who was someone who was kind of
[10:57] Speaker 2: in the Kennedy orbit. She used to work for Bobby.
[10:59] Speaker 2: They were coming from a party. She died, and so
[11:04] Speaker 2: that was an instance where Kennedy was directly responsible for
[11:07] Speaker 2: someone else's death, whether or not it was an accident.
[11:10] Speaker 2: But in the press conference, Ted was like, you know,
[11:14] Speaker 2: sometimes I do wonder if a curse hangs over our family.
[11:17] Speaker 2: And the reason that's sort of manipulative is that he's
[11:20] Speaker 2: using the idea that the a curse hangs over the
[11:23] Speaker 2: Kennedy family to justify something where he is clearly at fault, you.
[11:27] Speaker 1: Know what I mean, got it?
[11:29] Speaker 2: So he's sort of like weaponizing this idea of the curse.
[11:32] Speaker 2: So that's one thing, And then the other thing I
[11:34] Speaker 2: would say about the curse is like it definitely is
[11:37] Speaker 2: tempting to view it that way, and surely every generation
[11:42] Speaker 2: there's something tragic that happens. I mean, you mentioned RFK Junior.
[11:46] Speaker 2: His previous wife actually committed suicide, and so that was
[11:50] Speaker 2: seen as part of the Kennedy curse. But I think
[11:54] Speaker 2: that especially with the sort of earlier Kennedy's something people
[11:58] Speaker 2: don't talk about is that a lot of the behavi
[12:00] Speaker 2: was like reckless on their part. Like they would be
[12:04] Speaker 2: told the conditions for flying a plane are bad and
[12:07] Speaker 2: you should not do it, and they'd be like, but
[12:09] Speaker 2: we're doing it, got it?
[12:12] Speaker 1: Got it?
[12:13] Speaker 2: Or they would be like driving a car intoxicated.
[12:18] Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know if you can call that a curse.
[12:20] Speaker 2: So that's what's That's what's sort of interesting about it
[12:23] Speaker 2: is that at first these things seem like freak accidents,
[12:27] Speaker 2: and then when you start digging deeper, you're like, okay,
[12:29] Speaker 2: So maybe what people see as like the Kennedy courage
[12:33] Speaker 2: and ambition is more of just like they think they
[12:36] Speaker 2: think they can do anything.
[12:39] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[12:39] Speaker 2: Yeah, sometimes that comes back to bite them in the butt.
[12:42] Speaker 1: So when people say it's a curse, I want to
[12:45] Speaker 1: tell them, girl, you better chap acquit it.
[12:50] Speaker 2: I know that that's not what your audience wants to hear. Now,
[12:52] Speaker 2: I'm like, I've disappointed everyone.
[12:53] Speaker 1: No, I think this is good. We like someone to
[12:58] Speaker 1: come on here and give us the fact that's what
[13:00] Speaker 1: we're want to looking for.
[13:02] Speaker 2: I'm torn between and when we talk about non Kennedy stuff,
[13:05] Speaker 2: I will get I will get crazy, and I will
[13:07] Speaker 2: get reckless in my theorizing. But I'm torn between, you know,
[13:11] Speaker 2: attempting to promote like a sort of a pop culture
[13:14] Speaker 2: history podcast where we're forced to really stick to the
[13:17] Speaker 2: facts as they appear on the ground, and wanting to
[13:20] Speaker 2: really go off the rails with you.
[13:24] Speaker 1: Listen, this is what this podcast is. It's sort of
[13:27] Speaker 1: a forum where I'm like, here's the things that people
[13:31] Speaker 1: are saying, here's what has been reported. You do with
[13:36] Speaker 1: that as you will. And I think some people get'll
[13:40] Speaker 1: get like, well, that sounds like a curse to me.
[13:43] Speaker 1: And then there's other people that are like, oh, if
[13:44] Speaker 1: you look at it that way, that's, you know, a
[13:46] Speaker 1: good point, and you know what, everyone's welcome. Well, I
[13:51] Speaker 1: don't know if I want to welcome everyone.
[13:53] Speaker 2: But that's what's interesting about having to read these research
[13:57] Speaker 2: briefings every week is that all these things from God,
[14:00] Speaker 2: what a crazy coincidence, Then you actually read what happened,
[14:02] Speaker 2: You're like, okay, got it. So it wasn't a coincidence. Yeah,
[14:05] Speaker 2: so there's actually historical context to everything. So in fact,
[14:08] Speaker 2: the mob was after Bobby Kennedy and then he died.
[14:14] Speaker 2: That's interesting. M H.
[14:16] Speaker 1: I know, I I often think about how I miss
[14:19] Speaker 1: when like conspiracy theories were fun.
[14:22] Speaker 2: Okay, Yes, And in fact, I would say the Kennedys
[14:24] Speaker 2: are a great ground for conspiracy theories.
[14:27] Speaker 1: Well, and the Marilyn Monroe conspiracy theory with them.
[14:31] Speaker 2: The Marilyn Monroe of at all the conspiracies around JFK's assassination. Yes,
[14:37] Speaker 2: I was just hearing someone talk about the mafia connections
[14:42] Speaker 2: with the JFK assassination, and you know, you start out
[14:45] Speaker 2: being like, I'm not going to fall for any of this,
[14:47] Speaker 2: Like I'm not going to believe some story that some
[14:50] Speaker 2: crackpot is telling me, and then you start to get
[14:51] Speaker 2: into it and you're like, okay, well that sounds pretty
[14:53] Speaker 2: pretty real.
[14:55] Speaker 1: Listen the moon landing. I've always I've always been like, yeah, whatever,
[15:02] Speaker 1: like I don't I don't care. I learned about it
[15:05] Speaker 1: at school. It's cool whatever. I the algorithm said we
[15:13] Speaker 1: got something for you today, And I was on TikTok
[15:16] Speaker 1: one day and I was like, what is those? Six
[15:21] Speaker 1: hours later, I've got you know, the red yarn on
[15:25] Speaker 1: the wall, and I'm connecting the dots and I'm like,
[15:28] Speaker 1: we didn't go because of this? And I start calling
[15:31] Speaker 1: friends and I'm like, do you know about the press
[15:35] Speaker 1: conference that they gave after and this thing and that thing,
[15:39] Speaker 1: and it's all kind of come back to I don't know.
[15:44] Speaker 1: I actually I would think that we did go, but
[15:47] Speaker 1: I don't know. What do you think about just ghosts
[15:54] Speaker 1: and stuff like that?
[15:56] Speaker 2: You know, I was thinking about this because I wanted
[15:59] Speaker 2: to come in with a really good story. And my
[16:02] Speaker 2: relationship to the paranormal is not so much ghost based
[16:05] Speaker 2: or alien based.
[16:07] Speaker 1: Okay.
[16:08] Speaker 2: I grew up in a Greek family. I was partially
[16:10] Speaker 2: raised by my grandmother, especially when I was very young.
[16:15] Speaker 2: Didn't you grow up in Yes, I mostly grow up
[16:18] Speaker 2: in grace. Also, if my mom was listening, she did
[16:19] Speaker 2: fully raise me. But I just mean, like my grandmother
[16:21] Speaker 2: was in the picture. I don't want to erase her
[16:23] Speaker 2: and be like I was raised by my grandma. I
[16:26] Speaker 2: was raised by my mother, but also I was often
[16:29] Speaker 2: for many hours or days at a time at my
[16:31] Speaker 2: grandmother's house, So she was important in my in my
[16:34] Speaker 2: wearing is all I'm saying. And all of this is
[16:37] Speaker 2: to say, I was really raised to believe in the
[16:39] Speaker 2: evil eye. Is that something that was in your life
[16:42] Speaker 2: at all?
[16:44] Speaker 1: Yes?
[16:45] Speaker 2: So that was That's like my when I think of
[16:48] Speaker 2: when I think of like the paranormal sort of anxieties
[16:53] Speaker 2: that were instilled into me. It was never about ghosts.
[16:55] Speaker 2: It was never about people communicating from the dead or
[16:57] Speaker 2: aliens or anything like that. But it was all always
[17:00] Speaker 2: like uh oh, Slowly it would become apparent that some
[17:04] Speaker 2: location or some person brought bad luck so they are
[17:07] Speaker 2: to be avoided, or another thing, like a huge thing
[17:11] Speaker 2: with the evil eye is like to say something is
[17:14] Speaker 2: to invite it. Like to say something bad is to
[17:16] Speaker 2: invite it. And to say something good or to brag
[17:20] Speaker 2: about your own fortune or whatever is to risk it
[17:23] Speaker 2: being taken away from you. Even like let's say everyone
[17:26] Speaker 2: is gathered together and everyone is having an amazing time,
[17:29] Speaker 2: I would hesitate before being like, isn't it so nice
[17:32] Speaker 2: that we're all together? Because as soon as I say that,
[17:34] Speaker 2: I'm inviting the evil eye?
[17:36] Speaker 1: Really yes, Now, what about when you have to plug
[17:39] Speaker 1: a podcast that you're doing well.
[17:42] Speaker 2: That's honestly why I inherently struggle with the career path
[17:49] Speaker 2: that I have in fact chosen for myself.
[17:51] Speaker 1: Fascinating. Now, how do you get rid of the evil eye?
[17:55] Speaker 2: That's a great question, and I honestly don't know the answer.
[17:58] Speaker 2: Other than seeking some sort of natural balance. So it's
[18:01] Speaker 2: like with what you're saying, which is like self promotion,
[18:04] Speaker 2: I feel bad when I'm self promoting. So I'm like, okay, great,
[18:07] Speaker 2: as much as I can build in a month long
[18:09] Speaker 2: period when I'm not doing it, maybe it'll balance out. Okay. Yeah,
[18:13] Speaker 2: So that's sort of how I feel about it.
[18:16] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah. There's so many different cultures that believe
[18:20] Speaker 1: in the evil eye. And yes, like Mexican people have
[18:26] Speaker 1: different ways with like you rub them an egg on
[18:30] Speaker 1: you and you know, cleanse yourself of the evil eye.
[18:35] Speaker 1: And then of course there's the little.
[18:38] Speaker 2: Blue Yes, the little blue eye.
[18:40] Speaker 1: That's Turkish, right.
[18:41] Speaker 2: So it is you know, as with a lot of
[18:43] Speaker 2: these things, and this goes for food, this goes for
[18:46] Speaker 2: other traditions. I'm sure many of the traditions I grew
[18:49] Speaker 2: up with are Turkish, but I thought they were Greek
[18:52] Speaker 2: because they were passed down to Greek people when Greece
[18:55] Speaker 2: was under Turkish rule. So I have no idea how
[18:58] Speaker 2: to separate, like what's Turkey, what's Greek?
[19:00] Speaker 1: Got it?
[19:01] Speaker 2: I mean? In fact, look, I'm.
[19:04] Speaker 1: I love them nasar is that what it's called nas
[19:08] Speaker 1: nasa In Turkish.
[19:09] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I mean in Greek it's called mati m
[19:12] Speaker 2: a t i, which literally means I, but you'll catch
[19:16] Speaker 2: the Mati means you've caught the evil eye and that's bad.
[19:20] Speaker 1: You very get yourself a bracelet, literally get yourself, get
[19:23] Speaker 1: yourself a cute one. Yeah. I got a lot of those,
[19:27] Speaker 1: and I have one that I take with me when
[19:30] Speaker 1: I go to these haunted places along with every other,
[19:34] Speaker 1: like you know, this crystal and this Jesus and you know,
[19:39] Speaker 1: all these things will keep keep me safe. What possibly?
[19:43] Speaker 2: Okay?
[19:44] Speaker 1: I love it the Greek perspective, which we haven't necessarily
[19:48] Speaker 1: had much of on this. Yeah. Yeah. So would you say,
[19:54] Speaker 1: are you superstitious? I mean that's.
[19:56] Speaker 2: Super I think it's superstition. And it's like I I
[20:00] Speaker 2: grew up with very otherwise rational parents. Like both my
[20:04] Speaker 2: parents studied engineering. They are math and science people. I
[20:08] Speaker 2: was always told, like, if you go to college, you
[20:11] Speaker 2: need to study the sciences, you need to study math,
[20:14] Speaker 2: Like it was very much. That was also their way.
[20:17] Speaker 2: That was like their American dream. That was their way
[20:20] Speaker 2: towards a more kind of you know, in their eyes,
[20:24] Speaker 2: for fulfilling life. And that's how they were able to
[20:27] Speaker 2: give us a better life. It was like getting their
[20:29] Speaker 2: PhDs and engineering and then like you know, working with numbers.
[20:32] Speaker 2: So in all other respects they were completely rational. But
[20:36] Speaker 2: then my dad would be like, I can't buy apple
[20:40] Speaker 2: products because they bring bad luck. I have to use
[20:42] Speaker 2: this briefcase when I go to work, even though it's
[20:44] Speaker 2: completely torn up and the folder is like going through
[20:48] Speaker 2: the bottom, because it brings good luck. Another thing he
[20:51] Speaker 2: had is that for a while he couldn't read The
[20:53] Speaker 2: New Yorker, the magazine because it brought bad luck to him.
[20:56] Speaker 2: And then my mom was similar, like I remember one
[20:58] Speaker 2: time we were like walking on the street and I
[21:01] Speaker 2: was waiting to hear back for like the results of
[21:04] Speaker 2: a test or something like that, and I said something like, god,
[21:07] Speaker 2: what if it's you know, what if I get an
[21:09] Speaker 2: f for like what if it's bad? And she like
[21:11] Speaker 2: really like grabbed me by the wrist and was like,
[21:13] Speaker 2: don't say that because then it'll happen. So I think
[21:16] Speaker 2: the fact that in all other ways my parents were
[21:18] Speaker 2: super rational, and this was the one thing made me
[21:22] Speaker 2: almost believe in it more because I was like, well,
[21:24] Speaker 2: if they're saying it, and I think they're you know,
[21:26] Speaker 2: I trust them. I thin they're right about everything. I
[21:27] Speaker 2: think they're really smart. Then it must be how it works.
[21:30] Speaker 1: I mean lesson, I'm no scientists. Oh interesting, and it's
[21:37] Speaker 1: about time I settled that rumor. I don't know nothing
[21:40] Speaker 1: about nothing, but I believe there's been lots of scientific
[21:46] Speaker 1: study into manifesting and bringing things into existence, and our
[21:52] Speaker 1: thoughts are actual objects that attract and so I don't know.
[21:57] Speaker 1: You know, That's why I've been selling bumper stickers at
[22:01] Speaker 1: my live shows that say ros Hernetta should be more famous.
[22:04] Speaker 1: I'm like, listen, here you go. Maybe if I if
[22:08] Speaker 1: I talk about getting an f and that happens, then
[22:12] Speaker 1: I'm going to talk about getting another kind of app
[22:17] Speaker 1: see if that happens. Speaking of are you familiar with
[22:20] Speaker 1: the world of Etsy Witches.
[22:23] Speaker 2: Well now I am because of Yeah, well the news.
[22:28] Speaker 1: That has been talked about. Yes, yes, that's true. So
[22:32] Speaker 1: Etsy witches have been really blowing up the past few years, okay,
[22:40] Speaker 1: and people have been going to them for love spells
[22:45] Speaker 1: and curses and whatever. I have not done that. I did, however, recently,
[22:53] Speaker 1: go to an Etsy psychic.
[22:55] Speaker 2: Okay.
[22:56] Speaker 1: So we covered a story on this podcast a few
[22:59] Speaker 1: months back about a woman that went to an Etsy psychic.
[23:05] Speaker 1: This psychic can draw what your future husband's going to
[23:08] Speaker 1: look like. Okay, the woman met the guy from the
[23:13] Speaker 1: picture and married him. She found him. It was like,
[23:16] Speaker 1: I don't know how it happened whatever. So then I
[23:19] Speaker 1: was checking through my email. I get an email from
[23:22] Speaker 1: that woman, the woman that met the husband, and she's like, hey,
[23:27] Speaker 1: I heard you talk about on the podcast. Thank you.
[23:30] Speaker 1: Here's the Etsy psychic I went to, which, by the way,
[23:34] Speaker 1: I'm realizing as I'm saying this, I don't think I
[23:36] Speaker 1: ever replied thank you. Okay, So I go to this,
[23:41] Speaker 1: to this Etsy psychic, and I already know people are
[23:45] Speaker 1: going to ask me to drop the link or whatever.
[23:48] Speaker 1: Let me find the husband first, Okay, before I start,
[23:52] Speaker 1: I'm not putting my name on anyone's services. So then
[23:55] Speaker 1: I had this idea, made the best Etsy psychic win.
[24:00] Speaker 2: Huh.
[24:00] Speaker 1: I end up going to four of them. I'm like,
[24:02] Speaker 1: let's see, let's see what they cook up. So I
[24:06] Speaker 1: wanted to show you what I got. I'm not going
[24:10] Speaker 1: to say which one was the one that the lady did,
[24:14] Speaker 1: because that one's proven. These other ones I don't know. Geeha,
[24:18] Speaker 1: can you show us just any of these stand by.
[24:22] Speaker 2: Oh, okay, here's the thing. So this is and this
[24:25] Speaker 2: is for you, this is for me, this this is
[24:28] Speaker 2: the man you will marry. You know.
[24:31] Speaker 1: I think it's just my soulmate drawing.
[24:34] Speaker 2: Okay, is what it is.
[24:36] Speaker 1: So who knows if we'll actually get legal with it.
[24:39] Speaker 1: But they are all white men, which I found interesting.
[24:43] Speaker 1: I don't know why they chose that.
[24:45] Speaker 2: So the first one definitely seems white to me. Is
[24:48] Speaker 2: number four definitely white.
[24:50] Speaker 1: You know, he does kind of have a Mediterranean thing
[24:52] Speaker 1: going on.
[24:53] Speaker 2: Maybe I'm trying to think or potentially even like you
[24:59] Speaker 2: could you know, or even like half Asian. Yeah, I
[25:05] Speaker 2: mean the other ones are really straight from the Mayflower.
[25:07] Speaker 1: Yes, this number four is he's really struggling with the
[25:13] Speaker 1: facial hair.
[25:15] Speaker 2: Yes.
[25:16] Speaker 1: And it's interesting because these artists psychics, they've got different techniques.
[25:20] Speaker 1: And this one is definitely a more digital kind of painting.
[25:26] Speaker 2: It's very iPad art.
[25:27] Speaker 1: Yes, definitely, this is He's cute. I'm okay with this one.
[25:34] Speaker 2: I'm seeing you know, two through four all have a
[25:37] Speaker 2: real full head of hair, like they have really great hair.
[25:40] Speaker 1: Go to number three, jieha. This is just the hottest one.
[25:45] Speaker 1: I mean This is like a movie star, this guy,
[25:48] Speaker 1: and he looks like he's been working in the coal
[25:51] Speaker 1: mines all day long. He looks tired and in a
[25:56] Speaker 1: hot way, which I appreciate. They put a lot of
[26:00] Speaker 1: detail into this one.
[26:02] Speaker 2: Yeah, this is really impressive to me, I think. And
[26:05] Speaker 2: I'm not saying this in any way to stigmatize hair
[26:08] Speaker 2: loss at all. I just mean, factually speaking, number one
[26:12] Speaker 2: has a receding hairline, even just a little bit, whereas
[26:16] Speaker 2: two through four don't. I mean that could also mean
[26:18] Speaker 2: that they might all be depending the same person, just
[26:22] Speaker 2: with at different stages of their life. Like maybe he
[26:25] Speaker 2: had a full head of hair and then the hairline
[26:27] Speaker 2: started receding.
[26:28] Speaker 1: Well, go to number two, jiha, And this is a
[26:30] Speaker 1: jump scare. Okay, this one actually went to Turkey, if
[26:35] Speaker 1: you know what I mean. No, for sure, and maybe
[26:38] Speaker 1: he got an evil eye bracelet and maybe a little
[26:40] Speaker 1: bit more.
[26:41] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, maybe he got such good luck from the
[26:44] Speaker 2: evil eye bracelet in Turkey that the hair grew back.
[26:48] Speaker 1: Yeah that's that hair is too there's too much hair
[26:51] Speaker 1: going on there. And I'm not going to lie this
[26:53] Speaker 1: one based on the style that the person did. I mean,
[26:58] Speaker 1: wonderful beautiful artists, but also this is crime crime drawing. Yes,
[27:06] Speaker 1: this is this is the man that was outside the
[27:10] Speaker 1: grocery store that exposed himself. That's what this man is giving. Uh,
[27:17] Speaker 1: I'm terrified.
[27:18] Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, there's also even a he looks both old
[27:22] Speaker 2: and young like there's he almost could be just like
[27:25] Speaker 2: a teenager with weird hair.
[27:27] Speaker 1: Gee hot, this is We are doing a horror podcast
[27:31] Speaker 1: in a way, but can you please get this off
[27:33] Speaker 1: of the screen. I'm really scared.
[27:34] Speaker 2: Oh it's funny because I wanted to make you do.
[27:37] Speaker 2: I was trying to think what the fourth thing could
[27:38] Speaker 2: be if it's fucked Mary Kill and then.
[27:41] Speaker 1: Put it No, put them all back up. I just
[27:43] Speaker 1: mean get him off of the screen.
[27:44] Speaker 2: Please let me see fuck Mary Kill.
[27:47] Speaker 1: I can tell you what I won't be doing with
[27:49] Speaker 1: number two is kissing those lips. Ever, now here's gonna
[27:53] Speaker 1: be the funny clip. This is what we're gonna play
[27:55] Speaker 1: at our wedding because this this exact man. He's probably
[27:59] Speaker 1: I bet you he's way better. You know, some people
[28:01] Speaker 1: aren't his cute and drawings, so maybe he's better looking
[28:05] Speaker 1: in person. And we're gonna laugh about this one day.
[28:08] Speaker 1: But currently this man gives me the he be gbis.
[28:11] Speaker 2: Let's do fuck Mary kill go into business with Oh.
[28:15] Speaker 1: I was gonna say, talk about conspiracy theories about the
[28:18] Speaker 1: Kennedys with Okay, So number one I would go to
[28:23] Speaker 1: business with him. I agree, he definitely he has a
[28:28] Speaker 1: four oh one K. Yes, he seems like your traditional responsible,
[28:34] Speaker 1: heterosexual white man. He looks way too straight for me,
[28:39] Speaker 1: which I'm not really into. I like a little you know,
[28:43] Speaker 1: a little pep in the step. He looks like he
[28:46] Speaker 1: would use the word buddies, you know, like I'm gonna
[28:50] Speaker 1: go hang out with my buddies from college tonight. They're
[28:53] Speaker 1: in town. We're going to the Buffalo Wild Wings. I
[28:57] Speaker 1: don't like that. So I'm going to say business for him.
[28:59] Speaker 2: Yeah. And he's you know, obviously he's good with money,
[29:02] Speaker 2: but I wouldn't say he's like CEO level, like I
[29:05] Speaker 2: think he's going to rise up to maybe a VP,
[29:07] Speaker 2: like a VP of accounting.
[29:09] Speaker 1: Yeah, and that's nice, that's wonderful, and I'll see it
[29:13] Speaker 1: in the boardroom. Number two is kill. I have to agree,
[29:18] Speaker 1: jiha stop, I'm scared. Now go to number three. That
[29:22] Speaker 1: is marriage material right there, because again, this man to
[29:29] Speaker 1: me looks like he is a hard working man. He well,
[29:35] Speaker 1: this is tough.
[29:35] Speaker 2: Because he also kind of looks like a playwright.
[29:39] Speaker 1: Yeah, and as I'm looking at him, it looks like
[29:43] Speaker 1: the playwriting's not going well for him.
[29:45] Speaker 2: That's what I mean. It's like he's like a hipster
[29:47] Speaker 2: who wears work wear, or like who wears a blazer.
[29:51] Speaker 2: It's it's a costume. It's not it's not authentic to him,
[29:54] Speaker 2: Like this is not he doesn't need to actually dress
[29:56] Speaker 2: like this.
[29:56] Speaker 1: Yeah, you're making me rethink this because I'm looking looking
[30:00] Speaker 1: at his eyes, and this man has heard no from
[30:04] Speaker 1: every theater company.
[30:07] Speaker 2: And you know what else I think he like is
[30:11] Speaker 2: going around and he's like going to everyone's openings and
[30:14] Speaker 2: he's being supportive. But then he's like going online and
[30:17] Speaker 2: he has an alt account and he's like commenting really
[30:20] Speaker 2: hateful things in an article about a new female playwright.
[30:23] Speaker 1: Oh there's nothing worse. Yeah that's bad. Yeah, but I'd
[30:28] Speaker 1: fuck him. Number four. I guess he's the one.
[30:33] Speaker 2: Yeah, he's the one. He does. You know, I can't
[30:36] Speaker 2: tell if he looks like a gamer just because of
[30:37] Speaker 2: the way he's drawn, or if he actually looks like
[30:40] Speaker 2: a gamer. You know what I mean.
[30:42] Speaker 1: Yes, which is not hot to me in my opinion,
[30:47] Speaker 1: but you know, it's very common these days, and I
[30:49] Speaker 1: think gaming, much like open relationships, is something that I
[30:56] Speaker 1: just have to accept a lot of people are into. Yes,
[31:00] Speaker 1: let me just tell you this one. There is a
[31:03] Speaker 1: prediction timeline that was given to me. Okay, it says, ultimately,
[31:08] Speaker 1: when it comes to my timeline predictions and when you
[31:12] Speaker 1: two will meet, I like to disclose the fact that
[31:14] Speaker 1: the future is ever changing, so in result of such,
[31:18] Speaker 1: the timeline can shift slightly due to divine timing. However,
[31:24] Speaker 1: that being said, I do see you too coming into
[31:26] Speaker 1: each other's lives in the span of eleven to fourteen months,
[31:31] Speaker 1: and this will make for a beautiful and happy union
[31:33] Speaker 1: long term. I wish you strength and clarity upon this journey. Now,
[31:40] Speaker 1: all of these, by the way, come with documents. Okay,
[31:46] Speaker 1: you're talking about your research documents that you have for
[31:49] Speaker 1: your podcast. I got files now that these ladies sent me,
[31:54] Speaker 1: which makes me think it's copy and pasted and they've
[31:58] Speaker 1: written this before or it's AI. I'm not sure, but
[32:02] Speaker 1: some of these go into the things that these men enjoy,
[32:06] Speaker 1: what kind of personality they are, what their career is
[32:10] Speaker 1: all of this stuff.
[32:11] Speaker 2: And so which one seems we've now judged them based
[32:15] Speaker 2: on their physical appearance, which is, as we know, the
[32:17] Speaker 2: most important thing. But which one are you more drawn
[32:20] Speaker 2: to in terms of personality and stuff.
[32:24] Speaker 1: I'll be honest with you, it's almost like reading tinder profiles.
[32:29] Speaker 1: I didn't necessarily see anything that stood out to me
[32:33] Speaker 1: because here's the thing. They ask you, what's your gender?
[32:36] Speaker 1: How old are you? So they have that to work
[32:39] Speaker 1: off of, And so they didn't say anything that was
[32:43] Speaker 1: like he's a cheater, Like they didn't say anything like that.
[32:46] Speaker 1: You know, it was all like he's got friends, and
[32:50] Speaker 1: he's compassionate and you know, loves his passions. Like, okay,
[32:57] Speaker 1: that could be any of these guys. I don't necessarily know.
[33:02] Speaker 1: I also got a little bit bored reading them. Let
[33:05] Speaker 1: me tell you something. I encountered an astrologer, and this
[33:09] Speaker 1: astrologer was like, let me do your chart. And I
[33:12] Speaker 1: was like, I just got one question. When am I
[33:14] Speaker 1: going to be famous? And he said September eleventh, twenty
[33:19] Speaker 1: twenty five. This was like a month ago, a month
[33:24] Speaker 1: before then. I was like, that's really soon. I got
[33:27] Speaker 1: to start making plans I call a meeting with my manager.
[33:30] Speaker 1: I'm like, just so you know, it's all going to
[33:34] Speaker 1: pop off for me a September eleventh, twenty twenty five.
[33:39] Speaker 1: So the whole day I'm like, Okay, well shit, it's
[33:41] Speaker 1: three pm. That means it's six in New York. I
[33:46] Speaker 1: haven't really heard that I'm famous yet nothing happened now,
[33:52] Speaker 1: who knows, maybe somehow somewhere I don't know, But all
[33:57] Speaker 1: of this kind of stuff, I'm like, listen, I want
[33:59] Speaker 1: to be a believer. Let's prove it. So here is
[34:05] Speaker 1: Here is the predictions. And I also would like this
[34:09] Speaker 1: to be a man hunt. If any of you know
[34:12] Speaker 1: these men, particularly number four or three, send them my way.
[34:20] Speaker 2: I have a conspiracy theory.
[34:21] Speaker 1: Thank god.
[34:23] Speaker 2: So you're not gonna like this, Okay, here's what I think.
[34:26] Speaker 2: I think the fact that number three is so well
[34:29] Speaker 2: drawn means that it is not personalized to you. I
[34:34] Speaker 2: feel like this woman is giving this drawing edge to
[34:37] Speaker 2: multiple people. I don't think she's sitting down and doing
[34:40] Speaker 2: such a detailed sketch, whereas I actually think the other ones.
[34:43] Speaker 2: You know, they're simpler, but that's because those women are
[34:47] Speaker 2: putting in the time to do one for every client,
[34:51] Speaker 2: I have this inkling and I really that's how I feel.
[34:56] Speaker 2: How does that make you feel?
[34:58] Speaker 1: I think you don't believe a true love? Yes, I
[35:03] Speaker 1: can certainly see that being the case. Let me just
[35:07] Speaker 1: look because I'm curious. How much did I even spend
[35:09] Speaker 1: on these This was a couple of months ago. Here's
[35:12] Speaker 1: what I'll say. Number four took way longer than the
[35:18] Speaker 1: timeline that I was given to expect for these pictures
[35:22] Speaker 1: to be drawn. And let me tell you, some of
[35:24] Speaker 1: the best psychics I ever met not great with timing
[35:28] Speaker 1: and showing up and oh there was always something going on.
[35:32] Speaker 2: To me, it's it would be so suspicious if they
[35:34] Speaker 2: were good about timing. That means they're like business people.
[35:37] Speaker 2: It's like they're meant to be mediums, like they're meant
[35:39] Speaker 2: to kind of exist slightly outside of time and place.
[35:43] Speaker 1: So I'm looking at these prices. Oh god, I'm trying
[35:51] Speaker 1: to figure out which one is which. So the one
[35:56] Speaker 1: that is giving me nightmares, that was discount Diva. That
[36:02] Speaker 1: one was four dollars and seventy cents.
[36:05] Speaker 2: Oh my god, she's only getting four dollars and seventy cents.
[36:08] Speaker 1: That's what she sold it as well.
[36:11] Speaker 2: You know. Now I'm like a little Now, I'm like,
[36:13] Speaker 2: now I'm believing these less.
[36:15] Speaker 1: Now listen, here's what I'm going to say. They range
[36:19] Speaker 1: up to eighty five dollars.
[36:21] Speaker 2: So which one's eighty five?
[36:22] Speaker 1: I'm not going to tell you. I'll tell you off air, okay,
[36:25] Speaker 1: just because again I don't want to be promoting, because
[36:30] Speaker 1: I'm telling you I've got too much experience with If
[36:32] Speaker 1: I start talking about this psychic and that witch and whatever,
[36:36] Speaker 1: then people are going to be like I went to
[36:37] Speaker 1: them and they ripped me off, and like I just
[36:40] Speaker 1: can't deal with it. But I will say, if I
[36:44] Speaker 1: meet the person, if this really is my soulmate, I
[36:47] Speaker 1: will tell you where I got it. I'll tell all
[36:50] Speaker 1: of you. But the one that I knew was proven
[36:55] Speaker 1: from the lady or whatever, you know, the woman that
[36:58] Speaker 1: inspired all this one was the most money.
[37:02] Speaker 2: Oh I see.
[37:03] Speaker 1: Yeah, speaking of all this kind of atsy, which by
[37:09] Speaker 1: the way, they call it digital witchcraft now, which I mean,
[37:15] Speaker 1: it's not like it's a stretch or anything, but it's
[37:16] Speaker 1: just weird. Because I was reading an article I think
[37:19] Speaker 1: it was Cosmo or like so many different news outlets
[37:24] Speaker 1: have covered this stuff since COVID. There's just been various
[37:28] Speaker 1: profiles about a day in the life of at sea whatever.
[37:32] Speaker 1: It really is an industry and there's people that are
[37:34] Speaker 1: making bank. I mean, I'm here in six figures that
[37:39] Speaker 1: some of these people are getting for doing these spells
[37:42] Speaker 1: and psychic readings. But another thing in this realm that
[37:47] Speaker 1: we talk about a lot on this podcast is the
[37:50] Speaker 1: haunted dolls that people sell. Can I show you a
[37:54] Speaker 1: haunted doll?
[37:55] Speaker 2: Please?
[37:56] Speaker 1: Okay, it's time for the dolls are living? Okay, So
[38:04] Speaker 1: typically we go to eBay. Every once in a while
[38:08] Speaker 1: we take a peek over at Etsy, and since this
[38:10] Speaker 1: is an Etsy episode, it's it turned into with me
[38:14] Speaker 1: and my love life. I found one on Etsy that
[38:17] Speaker 1: is currently being sold for sixty five dollars. Jieha show
[38:22] Speaker 1: us Jory. You got it? Rose? Oh, there's Jory. Jory
[38:27] Speaker 1: is a clown.
[38:29] Speaker 2: I like her.
[38:30] Speaker 1: Yes, honey, Sarah Scorm would go crazy for this outfit.
[38:35] Speaker 1: She has got a clown outfit. Big poofballs. I love
[38:39] Speaker 1: a ball like a poofball. She's got big poofballs going
[38:44] Speaker 1: down the center rainbow fabric. Okay, an ally happy pride.
[38:50] Speaker 2: So this is a haunted doll. And why would I
[38:53] Speaker 2: want to own a haunted doll?
[38:56] Speaker 1: Friendship? Right, you know, something so one to have an
[39:01] Speaker 1: interesting story when people come over to your house, you
[39:04] Speaker 1: can go, oh, and this is jewelry.
[39:06] Speaker 2: This is just an interesting thing because I'm like, if
[39:08] Speaker 2: you're a true believer, why would you want to invite
[39:12] Speaker 2: something haunted into your home?
[39:13] Speaker 1: Well, doesn't necessarily mean it's bad. Here's the thing. They
[39:16] Speaker 1: come with bios Okay, they come with experience that the
[39:21] Speaker 1: seller can tell you this is what you'll get when
[39:24] Speaker 1: you get this one. And sometimes they're good, sometimes they're bad.
[39:27] Speaker 1: Sometimes they will perform sexual acts on you. There's all
[39:33] Speaker 1: different types that you can get. What gender would you
[39:38] Speaker 1: guess this doll? Even is?
[39:41] Speaker 2: I think she's a woman. You think she's a woman, Yes,
[39:44] Speaker 2: I firmly do. Interesting, I believe she is bisexual.
[39:50] Speaker 1: Now here's the thing. There's always a difference between the
[39:53] Speaker 1: spirit inside of the doll and then what we're looking
[39:56] Speaker 1: at this doll, because there is sort of an idea
[39:59] Speaker 1: that this was a living person that is now inside
[40:02] Speaker 1: of this doll.
[40:03] Speaker 2: Okay, I think the living person was way less colorful.
[40:08] Speaker 2: I think the living person was a girl wearing a blazer,
[40:12] Speaker 2: going to her job in an office, gotcha. And I
[40:15] Speaker 2: think in the afterlife she can finally embrace her freak.
[40:19] Speaker 1: Now she can be a part of the clown community.
[40:22] Speaker 1: The Allegian theater.
[40:23] Speaker 2: Honey, Yes, she's very Allegian. And I think she's someone
[40:27] Speaker 2: who went to her job, was not satisfied, and we'll
[40:30] Speaker 2: go home. And she would look at Instagram and she
[40:32] Speaker 2: would see her more creative, artistic friends going to a rave,
[40:36] Speaker 2: going to Burning Man, attending a concert that she didn't
[40:41] Speaker 2: know about, doing polyamory, and she would say, you know,
[40:46] Speaker 2: of course I want some of that stuff, but I'm happy.
[40:49] Speaker 2: I'm happy with Mark. You know, I'm happy with Mark,
[40:52] Speaker 2: and I like our life together and I love our dogs.
[40:55] Speaker 2: But something was always bugging her inside. She had a
[40:59] Speaker 2: suspicion that she was a little more clown than she
[41:02] Speaker 2: was letting on. And I think now she's finally fully
[41:04] Speaker 2: able to embrace that post life.
[41:08] Speaker 1: Well, you couldn't be more wrong. This is with a
[41:11] Speaker 1: person Rope. I found Jory at my local habitat for
[41:15] Speaker 1: humanity thrift store. He stood out to me. Heugh, I
[41:21] Speaker 1: have spent some time with Jory myself and also consulted
[41:25] Speaker 1: another medium to get a second opinion. Jory is in
[41:29] Speaker 1: all caps sassy. Jory is a sassy diva. Sometimes. One
[41:35] Speaker 1: of the first times we spoke on the spirit box,
[41:39] Speaker 1: which is like a ghost hunting device, he told me
[41:43] Speaker 1: do not touch because I was annoying him. For this reason,
[41:48] Speaker 1: I am listing him as neutral as opposed to you know, like, oh,
[41:52] Speaker 1: this one's evil, this one's nice.
[41:54] Speaker 2: Okay, Oh I see.
[41:56] Speaker 1: Although he is a delight to speak to, sometimes he
[42:00] Speaker 1: can get a little attitude or be a little mischievous.
[42:04] Speaker 1: Basically he is moody. He does like to trick his
[42:07] Speaker 1: keeper sometimes. Also, in fact, the other day he made
[42:11] Speaker 1: me spill paint while I was touching up the trim
[42:14] Speaker 1: in my house. Whoever selling this has a house and
[42:17] Speaker 1: I don't.
[42:18] Speaker 2: So basically, basically he's a gay guy.
[42:22] Speaker 1: They didn't want to say it. It says from what
[42:26] Speaker 1: the medium and I have gathered in the late sixties
[42:28] Speaker 1: and early seventies, he was a wandering spirit. So I
[42:32] Speaker 1: think maybe he.
[42:33] Speaker 2: Was wandering behind some bushes.
[42:35] Speaker 1: Perhaps he was not in a doll yet, and he
[42:43] Speaker 1: was also not attached to a single person. But he
[42:45] Speaker 1: would feed off the laughter in awe that children and
[42:48] Speaker 1: audiences gave at events like carnivals, fairs, and circuses.
[42:53] Speaker 2: Right, he was an entertainer.
[42:55] Speaker 1: Guess he was in his forties. I believe he may
[43:00] Speaker 1: have killed himself.
[43:00] Speaker 2: Okay, well that's what happened. You know, if you're a
[43:03] Speaker 2: gay guy, you get to your forties, it's like, what's next.
[43:06] Speaker 1: I guess we're just gonna hang out at the carnival.
[43:10] Speaker 1: Sometimes he does not want to talk at all, and
[43:13] Speaker 1: he gets a little sassy. He will stop the conversation
[43:17] Speaker 1: once he is overstimulated and done. He gets frustrated. He
[43:21] Speaker 1: likes the sun and admiring beauty.
[43:23] Speaker 2: I mean, these are all such dog whistles for gay.
[43:26] Speaker 2: He likes the sun and admiring beauty. Hello, Hello, So
[43:31] Speaker 2: he loves the beach and going to an art gallery
[43:34] Speaker 2: sounds pretty gay to me.
[43:36] Speaker 1: I mean, oh my god. When I was in Atlanta recently,
[43:41] Speaker 1: I performed at the Outfront Theater, the gay theater there,
[43:44] Speaker 1: which is phenomenal, And there's an art gallery next door,
[43:47] Speaker 1: and there was I picked my head into the art
[43:49] Speaker 1: gallery and there was a man playing My Heart Will
[43:52] Speaker 1: go On on the piano.
[43:53] Speaker 2: That's so sweet.
[43:54] Speaker 1: Hell, Okay, anyway, one more thing I got for you,
[44:00] Speaker 1: and we listen to some ghost voices. It's tied for
[44:08] Speaker 1: EVP or ev plase. Okay, EVP stays, we're electronic voice phenomena.
[44:17] Speaker 1: It's anytime a ghost hunter believes they've captured a ghost speaking.
[44:22] Speaker 1: I go to YouTube. I got two of them for you.
[44:26] Speaker 1: I want you to tell me what these ghosts are saying,
[44:29] Speaker 1: and then I'm gonna give you an ABCD. One of
[44:32] Speaker 1: those options is what this person that posted it believes
[44:36] Speaker 1: the ghost is saying. Okay. Both of these come from
[44:39] Speaker 1: a user named Jeff Mills eighteen. This first one is
[44:44] Speaker 1: in a place called New Boston, Illinois, at a private residence.
[44:50] Speaker 1: Jorce of veris, what is this ghost saying? Okay, it's
[44:56] Speaker 1: real faint. Do you hear the voice.
[45:02] Speaker 2: It's like there's like yeah, yeah, four syllables. So get
[45:13] Speaker 2: me Uma, get me Uma. Yes, he's an Uma Thurmon
[45:18] Speaker 2: fan and he's saying, get me Uma.
[45:24] Speaker 1: That's a great guess, thank you, Yes, get me Umah,
[45:27] Speaker 1: let's do kill Bill volume three.
[45:30] Speaker 2: Yes, he's saying it's time, it's time to resurrect that property.
[45:33] Speaker 1: That's not what chepp Mail's eighteen thinks. Okay that this
[45:37] Speaker 1: ghost in a home in Illinois. Thought, did he think
[45:42] Speaker 1: it was a hey, stupid b Is this a bit
[45:49] Speaker 1: C paint their bedroom or d thank you bitch?
[45:57] Speaker 2: Okay, I think it's.
[45:57] Speaker 1: C paint their bedroom. Yeah that is what he believes. Okay,
[46:02] Speaker 1: I can kind of hear it.
[46:03] Speaker 2: Wait, yeah, I can hear it.
[46:07] Speaker 1: Sam, this one had notes. Yeah, that's correct, that is correct. See,
[46:12] Speaker 1: this ghost was like, honey, what are you doing with
[46:15] Speaker 1: that tone? With that carpet?
[46:17] Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it's I actually like there's a pattern.
[46:21] Speaker 2: I'm sensing a lot of these ghosts have an appreciation
[46:24] Speaker 2: for aesthetics and beauty.
[46:25] Speaker 1: You know, well, what else are they got going on?
[46:28] Speaker 1: But to stare at everything.
[46:29] Speaker 2: That is such a good point. It's like because they
[46:31] Speaker 2: can't do it. They can't like grab something and move it.
[46:36] Speaker 2: It's like they are the ultimate like cultural critic. They're
[46:39] Speaker 2: just observing and critiquing.
[46:41] Speaker 1: I was on a plane and I was looking for
[46:43] Speaker 1: something to watch and there's a movie with Lucy Lou
[46:48] Speaker 1: that is from the perspective of a ghost.
[46:50] Speaker 2: Mm hmm. Yeah. The Soderberg movie was that good. It
[46:53] Speaker 2: was sad. I have to watch it. I really want to. Yeah,
[46:57] Speaker 2: I watched it isn't Julia Fox in it. I don't
[46:59] Speaker 2: think she plays a realtor.
[47:01] Speaker 1: Really, yeah, I don't remember. This is a couple months ago. Okay,
[47:05] Speaker 1: here's another one. This is from a private home in Conesville, Iowa.
[47:12] Speaker 1: What is this ghost saying?
[47:18] Speaker 2: Okay, I am the wrong I am I'm watching Maury.
[47:29] Speaker 1: The results are in and that is not the answer.
[47:33] Speaker 2: Okay, let me hear the options.
[47:35] Speaker 1: Did they think it was A I like your girls,
[47:38] Speaker 1: B I like girls. Maybe they were a Lena Dunham fan.
[47:45] Speaker 1: C I like the girls, which is different? Okay, YEA,
[47:51] Speaker 1: or D I like your pearls.
[47:57] Speaker 2: Okay, this is interesting, I like girls. What was the
[48:01] Speaker 2: second one?
[48:02] Speaker 1: Okay, so A I like your curls. Oh, B I
[48:07] Speaker 1: like girls. C. I like the girls and that's g
[48:11] Speaker 1: o r ls of course. Or D I like your pearls.
[48:16] Speaker 2: I think curls.
[48:18] Speaker 1: They believe it is B. I like girls.
[48:21] Speaker 2: Really, I mean, I can.
[48:25] Speaker 1: Kind of hear it. It's actually kind of gross. In
[48:30] Speaker 1: the video, the ghost hunter is trying to figure out
[48:33] Speaker 1: the sexuality of the ghosts, and he does ask very
[48:37] Speaker 1: lude lude ways. He's like, do you like this pejorative
[48:43] Speaker 1: or this pejorative? And then the ghost goes I.
[48:47] Speaker 2: Like girls, and is the ghost male or female?
[48:51] Speaker 1: Oh that's a good question. I was assuming it was male.
[48:55] Speaker 2: But you know what, well, no, why would you assume
[48:59] Speaker 2: you're right?
[49:00] Speaker 1: That is my own toxic masculinity.
[49:03] Speaker 2: Well, it's not toxic masculinity. It's internalized misogyny that you
[49:06] Speaker 2: think a woman can't rise to the ranks of being
[49:09] Speaker 2: a lesbian ghost.
[49:10] Speaker 1: And you know what's really sad. I also doubted you
[49:14] Speaker 1: when you said that Jory was a woman. I saw you.
[49:17] Speaker 1: I forget that clowns can be women sometimes.
[49:22] Speaker 2: I yeah, it just seemed and of course I get
[49:24] Speaker 2: that jury is gay guy presenting, but I just it
[49:27] Speaker 2: felt so obvious to me that I was like, but
[49:29] Speaker 2: what if it's kind of a woman with a pixie cut?
[49:31] Speaker 2: But I was wrong, obviously.
[49:32] Speaker 1: And I am an advocate for women with pixie cuts
[49:35] Speaker 1: and I always have been.
[49:36] Speaker 2: Yes, So.
[49:39] Speaker 1: Do I need to do a lot of internal thinking? Okay,
[49:43] Speaker 1: one last thing, George, I'm just going to fire off
[49:47] Speaker 1: a couple of these, you know, weirdo thingies, and I
[49:49] Speaker 1: want you to tell me if there's any thoughts you got.
[49:53] Speaker 1: Maybe it's a story or what about psychics for you?
[49:57] Speaker 2: You know, I've never been to one.
[49:59] Speaker 1: Is there a.
[50:03] Speaker 2: Yes, there is a reason. I get very bogged down
[50:06] Speaker 2: by reviews. Like I'm someone who like, if I want
[50:10] Speaker 2: to buy a new pan for my kitchen, I'm like
[50:12] Speaker 2: going to wirecutter, I'm going to strategists, and I'm reading
[50:15] Speaker 2: everyone's reviews. I'm trying to get the perfect one. And
[50:18] Speaker 2: for me, a psychic is something that like, I would
[50:21] Speaker 2: need to spend so much time researching which one to
[50:24] Speaker 2: go to, and I would really have to find one
[50:26] Speaker 2: that I trust, and it seems too stressful to even
[50:29] Speaker 2: get into it. So I'm like, whatever, I'd rather not know. Yeah,
[50:32] Speaker 2: I'd rather not go than go to one that's bad.
[50:35] Speaker 1: I get that. What about coincidences and stuff like that?
[50:41] Speaker 1: Do you read anything?
[50:42] Speaker 2: Yes? I do. I do. I think that's like more
[50:45] Speaker 2: in line with the whole evil eye bad luck thing.
[50:48] Speaker 2: It's like if there's a concept in Greek called it's
[50:52] Speaker 2: for a man, it's rususis for a woman as rusuza,
[50:56] Speaker 2: and this is like a person that brings bad luck
[50:58] Speaker 2: with them.
[50:58] Speaker 1: So that was a beauty. Wait can you say it again?
[51:01] Speaker 2: Rurusuzis and grusuza are the two words hanging out of
[51:05] Speaker 2: his gendered male or female.
[51:07] Speaker 1: If I have twins, so that's gonna be my twin daughters.
[51:10] Speaker 2: Well get ready for them to both be haunted, okay,
[51:12] Speaker 2: and for them to bring terrible luck into your life.
[51:14] Speaker 1: Oh that's what this is, okay.
[51:15] Speaker 2: Yeah, so it's like someone who brings bad luck with them.
[51:17] Speaker 2: So it's like in terms of coincidences, like there are
[51:20] Speaker 2: people in my life where I'm like, okay, every time
[51:24] Speaker 2: I run into you, something bad then happens to me. Really,
[51:27] Speaker 2: I can literally think of a few off the top
[51:29] Speaker 2: of my head, and I've genuinely like pulled back.
[51:33] Speaker 1: I want names.
[51:33] Speaker 2: I'm not kidding, I have pulled back. There was one
[51:36] Speaker 2: I didn't invite to our wedding, and I grew up
[51:39] Speaker 2: with this notion too, where it's like we had certain
[51:41] Speaker 2: family friends and suddenly someone in the family would be like, well,
[51:44] Speaker 2: she's a grusuza, Like you do not want to be
[51:46] Speaker 2: around her, Like, don't go out for coffee with her
[51:50] Speaker 2: as you're waiting for medical test results. Go out with
[51:53] Speaker 2: her next week. You'll get the results first and then
[51:55] Speaker 2: you can go have coffee with her.
[51:56] Speaker 1: Knock it off.
[51:58] Speaker 2: And so so in that sense, i'd do you believe
[52:00] Speaker 2: in coincidences.
[52:01] Speaker 1: That is so interesting. Now do you think that they
[52:05] Speaker 1: are just that for you? Or are they that for everyone? Oh?
[52:09] Speaker 2: Now that's a good question. That's a good question. I
[52:12] Speaker 2: would say, hmmm, I would say for me. Yeah.
[52:18] Speaker 1: So it's a it's a person to person.
[52:20] Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think their life is doomed to be
[52:24] Speaker 2: full of bad.
[52:25] Speaker 1: Luck, because you might be that for someone you know.
[52:28] Speaker 2: I mean, I know. But here's but here's where it
[52:30] Speaker 2: gets complicated. Is like, Okay, so let's say someone you
[52:33] Speaker 2: know his name is Justin Okay, and he's a grusousist.
[52:37] Speaker 2: And I'm like, all right, I don't I don't really
[52:38] Speaker 2: want to spend too much time with him. But then
[52:40] Speaker 2: a friend of mine is like, I'm gonna start dating Justin.
[52:43] Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, well that's gonna come back to me,
[52:47] Speaker 2: Like there's still a pathway for the for the bad
[52:50] Speaker 2: vibes to come back to me. So, yes, it's only
[52:53] Speaker 2: affecting me. But I'm not an island, like I'm part
[52:56] Speaker 2: of a community.
[52:57] Speaker 1: Okay.
[52:58] Speaker 2: The bad luck is like diffused through other people. It's
[53:01] Speaker 2: not just one on one.
[53:03] Speaker 1: Okay.
[53:04] Speaker 2: Interesting, do you have anyone like that in your life?
[53:07] Speaker 1: No? But I bet you, because I'm like, I don't
[53:11] Speaker 1: like that person. I think I'm at a point in
[53:14] Speaker 1: my life where I'm like, if you're giving me or
[53:16] Speaker 1: a Susie vibes, I'm not sorry, I said it wrong,
[53:20] Speaker 1: say it.
[53:20] Speaker 2: So it's like g R but like a soft so
[53:23] Speaker 2: it's like rue suzis.
[53:25] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I can't do that. But if you're giving
[53:27] Speaker 1: me like, I think it's gonna be that you're not
[53:30] Speaker 1: even getting in. So I see, I se yeah, we
[53:32] Speaker 1: don't let you in at the door.
[53:34] Speaker 2: Oh see, I'm bad at welcoming. I'm like, I'm getting
[53:37] Speaker 2: better as if this is a good older but especially
[53:38] Speaker 2: when I was younger, I would just like give every
[53:41] Speaker 2: one the benefit of the doubt.
[53:43] Speaker 1: Yeah I know, I know, and maybe I should be
[53:47] Speaker 1: more of that sometimes, but I don't know. I just
[53:50] Speaker 1: got I got my radar. It's just like when I
[53:55] Speaker 1: see the Etsy drawings, I'm like that guy, yes for me. Okay,
[54:02] Speaker 1: last one, what do you think about UFOs.
[54:07] Speaker 2: This is a tough one and your audience is gonna
[54:10] Speaker 2: get mad at me. But I've so far been very
[54:13] Speaker 2: open to the paranormal. Yeah, I appreciate it, but I
[54:17] Speaker 2: think with UFOs, I'm like, I am open to the
[54:20] Speaker 2: concept of their life in the universe, but the like
[54:24] Speaker 2: cartoonishness of UFOs turns me off. I'm like, if there's something,
[54:29] Speaker 2: if there are aliens around us, they're not in little
[54:31] Speaker 2: saucers like there, it's gonna be something more complex real, Okay, Yeah,
[54:36] Speaker 2: so that's how I feel. I'm like, maybe they're in
[54:38] Speaker 2: the air around us and we can't even perceive them,
[54:42] Speaker 2: or maybe they're you know, infiltrating human body. Like I'm
[54:48] Speaker 2: open to even more crazy theories, but the idea of
[54:51] Speaker 2: a flying saucer is just it's too Hollywood.
[54:55] Speaker 1: It's cute, sure for a movie or a yeah, yeah, but.
[55:00] Speaker 2: It's like it's too neat. I guess it's too much
[55:03] Speaker 2: like a spaceship is too much like a car, and
[55:07] Speaker 2: like they would have something different.
[55:09] Speaker 1: All I ever say about it really though, is like
[55:13] Speaker 1: if they come here, yeah, and we have not been
[55:18] Speaker 1: wherever they are that we know of, that means that
[55:22] Speaker 1: they're super smart and so they've got incredible technology and yeah,
[55:28] Speaker 1: so whatever it is that they are able to fly
[55:31] Speaker 1: here in, it's probably pretty cute. I mean, in some fashion,
[55:36] Speaker 1: it's probably like, you know, just really high quality. Yeah,
[55:43] Speaker 1: totally come on, they can get all the way over here,
[55:46] Speaker 1: they figure out how to make it, and they're clearly
[55:49] Speaker 1: not close by. Yeah, so it's got to be pretty
[55:53] Speaker 1: good stuff. That's all I'm saying.
[55:55] Speaker 2: Do you think they're peaceful?
[55:57] Speaker 1: I mean, we're still standing, that's true if they have
[56:01] Speaker 1: that capability and they haven't done something too crazy. I mean,
[56:07] Speaker 1: I think I think they're peaceful. I'd like to believe that.
[56:11] Speaker 1: And I'm so open to other than humans, like just
[56:17] Speaker 1: knowing that, Like I would love for them to come
[56:21] Speaker 1: down and just like it becomes like another race that
[56:24] Speaker 1: we have here. Sounds so fun. I'm like, Oh, tell
[56:27] Speaker 1: me everything about your culture. I want to hear about it.
[56:30] Speaker 1: I want to hear about the things that you guys
[56:34] Speaker 1: know and that you find fun and all of it.
[56:38] Speaker 2: It would be really exciting to just meet someone who's
[56:40] Speaker 2: completely different.
[56:41] Speaker 1: Just wait till we have like alien influencers. Like there's
[56:45] Speaker 1: there's a lot of things that they could do. And look,
[56:47] Speaker 1: don't don't get me wrong, I'm fully aware they're gonna
[56:50] Speaker 1: come to this earth and they're gonna turn real shitty,
[56:52] Speaker 1: real quick. But for a minute, it's going to be exciting.
[56:56] Speaker 1: Oh for sure, and we need something you to be
[56:59] Speaker 1: excited about. So anyway, I hope that they're listening, and
