[0:00] Speaker 1: We're gonna talk about inflation hitting a two year high,
[0:04] Speaker 1: and once again before we even leave that topic. That's
[0:06] Speaker 1: why it's important just to stay in the market because
[0:09] Speaker 1: you know people that people that lose are usually people
[0:11] Speaker 1: that have short term vision and short term plans. You
[0:16] Speaker 1: got to just be able to block out all the noise.
[0:17] Speaker 1: So inflation hits two years high, and we can tie
[0:23] Speaker 1: this in with everything that's been happened geopolitically. If you
[0:25] Speaker 1: if you haven't followed last market mondays, the story was
[0:30] Speaker 1: that Trump had a deadline for Tuesday at eight o'clock
[0:35] Speaker 1: that if they didn't comply, if I Ran didn't comply,
[0:38] Speaker 1: he was going to destroy the whole entire country. Then
[0:41] Speaker 1: Tuesday at seven o'clock he said that it was a
[0:44] Speaker 1: two week towards and then also we said on market Monday,
[0:49] Speaker 1: watch for sabotage. And then after the after the after
[0:53] Speaker 1: the ceasefire was announced, Bayrue got hit with one hundred
[0:57] Speaker 1: bombs and ten minutes stability. Then they go and they
[1:01] Speaker 1: have a twenty four hour forty eight hour conversation with
[1:06] Speaker 1: JD Vance broken by Pakistan to try to have a
[1:09] Speaker 1: peace deal, and they said that that was not successful
[1:11] Speaker 1: and they said that the United States is going to
[1:13] Speaker 1: take over the straight Irin said, that's fake news. Who
[1:21] Speaker 1: knows what's going on. The Pope has got involved, he's
[1:26] Speaker 1: expressed his how he's not happy with what's going on.
[1:30] Speaker 1: Donald Trump attacked the Pope and then he dressed up
[1:34] Speaker 1: as white Jesus on True.
[1:38] Speaker 2: Social Wait, he wasn't a doctor in that photo.
[1:41] Speaker 1: Well then yeah, Now, then he said that he was
[1:44] Speaker 1: a doctor. So a lot has happened. A lot has
[1:47] Speaker 1: happened over the last one week. Well.
[1:50] Speaker 3: He also accused China of providing them with arms, saying
[1:54] Speaker 3: that they were bringing in planes to bring them arms,
[1:56] Speaker 3: and then threatened to put a fifty tariff on all
[2:00] Speaker 3: these goods if that was true. They denied that the
[2:02] Speaker 3: arms were being brought So now tariffs are back into play.
[2:06] Speaker 3: I mean, it's a lot, it's a lot. It's a
[2:08] Speaker 3: lot going on.
[2:09] Speaker 1: It's a lot going on, and it's a lot of uncertainty,
[2:13] Speaker 1: which is Donald Trump's middle name. His middle name is uncertainty,
[2:17] Speaker 1: find clarity. But the market, the market has rallied. We'll
[2:21] Speaker 1: see how long that can last. But inflation, Inflation is
[2:27] Speaker 1: always the silent killer of wealth, for sure. Inflation is
[2:31] Speaker 1: the silent killer of wealth, right, And that's something that
[2:36] Speaker 1: it's quiet. You don't you don't really realize what's going
[2:39] Speaker 1: on until you look up and your rent has gone
[2:42] Speaker 1: up one thousand dollars and the price of eggs has
[2:45] Speaker 1: gone up four dollars, and gasoline has gone up, you know,
[2:49] Speaker 1: two for four dollars per gallon. So inflation that will
[2:54] Speaker 1: add too, Yeah, high. What do we make of this?
[2:58] Speaker 2: I wouldn't want the job. But the part that's really
[3:01] Speaker 2: tough about that because when rent increases, once inflation starts
[3:06] Speaker 2: to slide back to a normal rate, the rent prices
[3:10] Speaker 2: don't come down. The mortgage rates don't always adjust as quickly.
[3:14] Speaker 2: The cost of living doesn't adjust. Just looking back into
[3:17] Speaker 2: let's say the twenty tens, the cost of living was
[3:20] Speaker 2: dramatically different than it is now. My fear in ten
[3:23] Speaker 2: years it'll probably be twenty five or thirty percent worse.
[3:28] Speaker 2: And it's not as bad as it can be. Like
[3:30] Speaker 2: in twenty twenty two it went to eight point three percent,
[3:34] Speaker 2: which was destructive, and we're still being kind of taxed
[3:40] Speaker 2: at a twenty twenty two rate even though we're at
[3:42] Speaker 2: three percent now. So even though the stock market is
[3:48] Speaker 2: doing well. As a result, it worries me that the
[3:51] Speaker 2: economy is not doing as well, and I think the
[3:54] Speaker 2: curtain is starting to be removed. There's a bunch of
[3:57] Speaker 2: things I think the FED could do. But if I'm
[4:00] Speaker 2: and long term, where we seem to be in an
[4:02] Speaker 2: endless inflation cycle to like you said, to rob you
[4:05] Speaker 2: of all wealth, it's not I don't think it's an accident.
[4:09] Speaker 2: Then as soon as everyone got into the market in
[4:11] Speaker 2: twenty twenty, and shock to everyone who's support us the
[4:13] Speaker 2: show from the very beginning that as soon as we
[4:17] Speaker 2: learned about business at a hot clip, they inflated damn
[4:20] Speaker 2: near all of your gains away from twenty twenty. Like
[4:23] Speaker 2: think about this, we were talking about it before the
[4:24] Speaker 2: show between Nvidia, AMD, Micron sand Disc. You've had some
[4:29] Speaker 2: of the greatest returns in the history of the market.
[4:32] Speaker 2: You also have the greatest disparity of wealth and have
[4:37] Speaker 2: and have not. And people now need one hundred to
[4:41] Speaker 2: two hundred percent return in the market to feel safe
[4:44] Speaker 2: to invest, because you can't even promise anyone seven to
[4:47] Speaker 2: twelve percent if inflation is twenty five percent. We are
[4:52] Speaker 2: on a destructive model that I have not seen and
[4:55] Speaker 2: I don't know if it's going to turn around any sooner.
[4:57] Speaker 2: I would be lying to say if I thought things
[4:59] Speaker 2: would be better four or five years. So I don't
[5:02] Speaker 2: know what the answer is here, but I know it's
[5:04] Speaker 2: not going to come down in the time soon.
[5:06] Speaker 3: What do you guys say, I don't I don't know
[5:08] Speaker 3: if there's an answer currently, right, Like the FED being
[5:12] Speaker 3: involved is, I mean, yeah, there's things they can do,
[5:14] Speaker 3: but what can they really do at this point Because
[5:17] Speaker 3: in a few months, who was going to be the
[5:19] Speaker 3: FED chair right, like you think about it. I mean,
[5:22] Speaker 3: he could come in, that's a great point. He could
[5:24] Speaker 3: come into the position and figure out a way to
[5:27] Speaker 3: lower rates. But if oil is what's leading us as
[5:30] Speaker 3: the cause of inflation and we're still at war, then
[5:33] Speaker 3: you really can't lower rates. And that's when when you
[5:36] Speaker 3: look at the reports from February to March in terms
[5:39] Speaker 3: of inflation, we got two point four. Now we're at
[5:41] Speaker 3: three point three. It's really inflated because of energy, right,
[5:46] Speaker 3: if you think about the energy caused oil's going up,
[5:49] Speaker 3: that has been the leading us of it. Yeah, and
[5:52] Speaker 3: if we don't have a curtail on that, if we
[5:54] Speaker 3: can't figure out how we lower these prices, How we
[5:56] Speaker 3: come out of this war, how we open the straight Yeah,
[6:00] Speaker 3: we're gonna We're gonna be in this cycle for a
[6:01] Speaker 3: little bit more because the Fat their job is to
[6:05] Speaker 3: make sure that the economy stays at a stable point
[6:08] Speaker 3: and we don't go to it stagflation or go into depression.
[6:12] Speaker 3: But it's the leading cause of the actual conflict is oil. Yeah,
[6:18] Speaker 3: what what do you do when your your your administration,
[6:22] Speaker 3: your president can't seem to figure this out.
[6:26] Speaker 1: Well, the only thing you can do is invest and
[6:28] Speaker 1: make more money, because inflation is something that's not gonna
[6:30] Speaker 1: go away. It's impossible. As long as the government keeps
[6:33] Speaker 1: printing money, then the money is going to become less
[6:35] Speaker 1: valuable as individuals.
[6:36] Speaker 3: You're saying, excuse me, you're saying, the only thing that
[6:39] Speaker 3: we can do as individuals invest. Yeah, I was saying,
[6:41] Speaker 3: like the fat, what are they supposed to what can
[6:42] Speaker 3: they do?
[6:42] Speaker 1: Well? Have better monetary policy, and then the governance can
[6:46] Speaker 1: have better governance. And this war is helping to increase
[6:49] Speaker 1: inflation because we're spending money, we're increasing our debt. So
[6:53] Speaker 1: there are there are measures that can be taken to
[6:56] Speaker 1: cool cool off. You can you can definitely do a
[7:00] Speaker 1: variety of different things make money tighter, but then there's
[7:04] Speaker 1: side effects with that. So that's that's why it's very
[7:06] Speaker 1: important when they want to lower infreate, when they want
[7:08] Speaker 1: to lower inflation, they make money tighter. But by making
[7:12] Speaker 1: money tighter, that can if you if you're not careful,
[7:15] Speaker 1: you can cause a recession.
[7:19] Speaker 3: And if you look at the environment from the top
[7:23] Speaker 3: down where we talk about you know, these credit default
[7:25] Speaker 3: swaps and these big companies, more institutions of figuring out, hey,
[7:29] Speaker 3: we're putting limits on what you can get. I mean,
[7:31] Speaker 3: the environment is kind of almost in that that secordless,
[7:34] Speaker 3: like hey we might we might be there anyway. So
[7:37] Speaker 3: it's it's a fine fine balance that they have to
[7:39] Speaker 3: figure out.
