If you work a 9 to 5, the best investing strategy isn’t trading. It’s this: buy quality companies and hold for at least 5 years (ideally 10 to 15). The biggest returns come from long cycles, not quick flips. Use options for cash flow if you want, but keep your long-term shares working. Don’t get finessed out of your position early. Topics covered: holding vs gambling, profit-taking discipline, shares for wealth vs options for income, and why generational wealth requires generational time. #Investing #LongTermInvesting #WealthBuilding #StockMarket #FinancialFreedom #EarnYourLeisure See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

[0:00] Speaker 1: How nine and five investors should properly invest. I like
[0:05] Speaker 1: this question, and I know it's been presented a few times.
[0:07] Speaker 1: How do I properly access profits or investors a nine
[0:13] Speaker 1: to five investors? This timeframe has to be the same.
[0:17] Speaker 1: Find four quality companies, hold for five years. Don't deviate
[0:20] Speaker 1: from that. I know it's not the answer that you
[0:22] Speaker 1: want to hear, but like you, if you're not willing
[0:25] Speaker 1: to hold for half a decade, you don't want wealth.
[0:29] Speaker 1: You want to flip. I'm not in the show you
[0:32] Speaker 1: how to flip because most people don't have enough discipline
[0:35] Speaker 1: for that. But if you hold for a five year period,
[0:37] Speaker 1: you're doing credibly well. If you've held something that I
[0:40] Speaker 1: recommended for five years and made money, please put us
[0:42] Speaker 1: in check. I know some want a short term, one
[0:47] Speaker 1: year answer, and we're back in the gamification of making everything.
[0:51] Speaker 1: It means stock, so I get it. But the easiest
[0:53] Speaker 1: way to get those high returns is to hold for
[0:55] Speaker 1: a five year period. So I hope this helps. There's
[0:58] Speaker 1: no difference between if your institution investor fund to fund
[1:03] Speaker 1: to me nine to five full time trader, you have
[1:07] Speaker 1: to have some positions long term and if you're not
[1:09] Speaker 1: holding for five years, you're gambling. Truth be tall, So
[1:13] Speaker 1: y'all know you want to argue with it. Some of
[1:14] Speaker 1: y'all may want to argue with it. But those outside
[1:17] Speaker 1: returns of the returns the bitcoin of gotten over ten
[1:20] Speaker 1: years in the video of gotten, you can't get those
[1:23] Speaker 1: unless you're holding for five or six year period. So
[1:26] Speaker 1: hope for the long term. So you hold for the
[1:28] Speaker 1: long five? Do you do you? Ever?
[1:32] Speaker 2: This is interesting right because I feel like what's happened
[1:36] Speaker 2: is we've created the portfolio where you have shares, right
[1:39] Speaker 2: and if I have shares, then I get options contracts
[1:42] Speaker 2: and any profit comes from the options. But I never
[1:44] Speaker 2: really take profit from the shares. Is there any point
[1:48] Speaker 2: do you? Like, you know, like I used to say,
[1:49] Speaker 2: like a percentage, if we go over one hundred percent,
[1:51] Speaker 2: we're going to take out our initial profit and we'll
[1:53] Speaker 2: let the runners run. Is is it just keep in
[1:57] Speaker 2: the portfolio?
[1:59] Speaker 1: Right?
[1:59] Speaker 2: Like? Do you just keep I got two thousand years
[2:02] Speaker 2: of the video, I'm keeping it for the next ten years?
[2:05] Speaker 1: Or is you know what?
[2:06] Speaker 2: In Nvidia has grown by two hundred percent since I
[2:09] Speaker 2: purchased it. I may you know what I mean? Like?
[2:11] Speaker 2: What do you suggest for that nine to five investor.
[2:14] Speaker 1: I don't I don't want to give the select trading
[2:16] Speaker 1: has considerable risk. Please consult your advisor. Just because it
[2:20] Speaker 1: has happened for some text stops does not mean that
[2:22] Speaker 1: it will happen for all. But if you hold for
[2:24] Speaker 1: a ten year window, you could be up five thousand percent.
[2:29] Speaker 1: So some people are cutting profit off too quickly and like, well, wow,
[2:36] Speaker 1: I got two in three thousand percent. The other part
[2:37] Speaker 1: that they don't tell you, and I've done this at
[2:39] Speaker 1: every investmentst in my presentation, they always tell you the
[2:44] Speaker 1: long term investment is born when all the wealth accumulation
[2:48] Speaker 1: happens in five, ten, and twenty year cycles. So would
[2:51] Speaker 1: you want to miss out on a ten year bitcoin run,
[2:54] Speaker 1: a ten yure, Tesla run tenure, am D run tenure
[2:57] Speaker 1: in video run and be up several thousand percent? No?
[3:00] Speaker 1: And as a person who and I'll tell you it's
[3:04] Speaker 1: really hard to sit on equity and not buy shit.
[3:10] Speaker 1: I know, but there's nothing better. Then if a deal
[3:14] Speaker 1: doesn't go through, it don't matter. It doesn't matter. Now
[3:18] Speaker 1: you have all the chips in your favor. A lot
[3:20] Speaker 1: of times we say, and I've said this before, going
[3:24] Speaker 1: back to twenty twenty. You can't tell me that you
[3:26] Speaker 1: want generational wealth and you want hold for your generation.
[3:30] Speaker 1: Somebody's going to finesse you out of your spot too early.
[3:34] Speaker 1: So one of the best things I've done in my portfolio,
[3:37] Speaker 1: Xander's portfolio is just whole for a long period of time.
[3:40] Speaker 1: And that's why a lot of times people like, oh,
[3:42] Speaker 1: things are going well. It's the discipline of holding that
[3:45] Speaker 1: gives you the freedom to be able to say what
[3:47] Speaker 1: you want and do what you want. So I get it.
[3:52] Speaker 1: Behold for the long term. Maybe take some out in
[3:55] Speaker 1: a five year period and be disciplined with the money,
[3:58] Speaker 1: but to take the money out to go blow it
[4:01] Speaker 1: on bags and go buy Balinciaga, and because you want
[4:03] Speaker 1: to go buy a car and you want to spend
[4:05] Speaker 1: some money on your side piece. I don't want to
[4:06] Speaker 1: hear that. I don't want. I don't if you don't
[4:10] Speaker 1: like to ask, I was rich when y'all met me.
[4:12] Speaker 1: I don't care if you like to answer or not.
[4:14] Speaker 1: This is the truth. Even at the video, you're looking
[4:18] Speaker 1: at some of the smartest people on earth to ever
[4:21] Speaker 1: be in tech and they've been holding for ten years.
[4:25] Speaker 1: You can't take the shortcut just because you want to
[4:27] Speaker 1: f off your money. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, right.
[4:31] Speaker 2: I think that's kind of like one of those those
[4:33] Speaker 2: core principles is like if I have an option on
[4:36] Speaker 2: a company, I must own the company, right because I
[4:39] Speaker 2: believe in this future growth. And so if I believe
[4:41] Speaker 2: in this future growth, then I could take a leap
[4:43] Speaker 2: on this, which is why you see TSM in the
[4:44] Speaker 2: portfolio of the time, which is why you see the video,
[4:46] Speaker 2: you see Meta, you see Amazon. That makes a lot
[4:49] Speaker 2: of sense.
[4:50] Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, and on the option of the feature side,
[4:53] Speaker 1: that's what it's for for thinking. It is like income
[4:57] Speaker 1: if you will, but or cash flow, but on your
[5:00] Speaker 1: long term portfolio, you want to hold it. Like you
[5:04] Speaker 1: guys haven't sold the IP to invest fest. There's a
[5:07] Speaker 1: reason why it's more valuable in fifteen years than it
[5:10] Speaker 1: is if you sold it year three trade. If you
[5:14] Speaker 1: need cash flow, I'm not mad at that. Before the
[5:17] Speaker 1: equities in the whole, that's minimum five years, ideally ten
[5:22] Speaker 1: to fifteen
