[0:00] Speaker 1: Yo, what is up? Boys?
[0:01] Speaker 2: How's it going?
[0:01] Speaker 3: And welcome back to another episode of the Rank Cafe
[0:04] Speaker 3: Anime podcast. This week we're talking about Summer twenty twenty
[0:07] Speaker 3: five anime, but we actually watched the first episode that
[0:10] Speaker 3: we're gonna be giving our opinions on, like what we liked,
[0:12] Speaker 3: but we didn't like, so on and so forth with me.
[0:14] Speaker 3: Today we have Jordan the anime dude, how you doing?
[0:17] Speaker 4: What's up? Everybody? Happy to be here? It is summer
[0:20] Speaker 4: as you can tell.
[0:21] Speaker 2: Hell yeah? And Ricon what's up man?
[0:25] Speaker 3: What is up?
[0:25] Speaker 1: Everybody?
[0:26] Speaker 5: We are back to discuss once again the summer season
[0:30] Speaker 5: of anime. Every single first episode well I say every
[0:34] Speaker 5: single but most of.
[0:36] Speaker 3: Them are about hopefully okay, y don to down. Season
[0:40] Speaker 3: two is the most popular aneme of the summer season
[0:43] Speaker 3: for good reason. Season one was a banger, and season
[0:45] Speaker 3: two episode one, which we mentioned before, it doesn't really
[0:48] Speaker 3: feel like season two because it like it ended in
[0:51] Speaker 3: like the.
[0:51] Speaker 2: Middle of an arc was pretty creepy though.
[0:54] Speaker 3: Their faces, that little family faces, I can't remember the
[0:56] Speaker 3: family's name, that their faces were creepy as hell.
[0:59] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[1:00] Speaker 4: I kept thinking they were like maybe ghosts or something
[1:02] Speaker 4: or no, they're just they're just the family living there.
[1:05] Speaker 4: And it's like, you know, this series has had ghosts,
[1:08] Speaker 4: which you're terrifying, it's had aliens, which you're terrifying, and
[1:10] Speaker 4: then this thing this time around, it has the thing
[1:13] Speaker 4: that's even more scary, right, people that are just corrupted, right,
[1:15] Speaker 4: corruption scary. So yeah, it's a it's a scary arc here.
[1:19] Speaker 3: Watching the Kidle family just get eaaten by the worm
[1:22] Speaker 3: was like peak, like you.
[1:25] Speaker 4: See it coming, but you're still ready for it, right.
[1:28] Speaker 2: Yeah, They're just dance gonna circle.
[1:30] Speaker 3: They thought it was like a snake or you know,
[1:32] Speaker 3: it's like a big worm, and they just ate him.
[1:34] Speaker 3: But they were definitely they were definitely possessed in a
[1:37] Speaker 3: way or some type of thing because their eyes were
[1:38] Speaker 3: changing colors, I would assume.
[1:41] Speaker 4: So. But the thing I love about donad On, and
[1:43] Speaker 4: it's one of the reasons I still haven't figured out
[1:45] Speaker 4: this show, right, I feel like you never quite know
[1:46] Speaker 4: what's going on. There's ghosts and then there's aliens, and
[1:49] Speaker 4: then there's like everything in between. Right, So it's like,
[1:52] Speaker 4: what is what is going on? What's happening? Trying to
[1:54] Speaker 4: figure that out is sometimes a mystery onto itself.
[1:57] Speaker 3: Yeah, some type of supernatural thing was going on. They
[2:00] Speaker 3: were feeding people that like came to their town to
[2:03] Speaker 3: this worm that they thought was a snake because of
[2:05] Speaker 3: an old legend. They were definitely like influenced by it
[2:08] Speaker 3: in some way because it was it was not just
[2:09] Speaker 3: a normal worm. It was some type of supernatural worm.
[2:12] Speaker 3: Maybe it's an alien, Maybe it's a ghost. It could
[2:16] Speaker 3: be it could could be recon What are your thoughts
[2:18] Speaker 3: on don the non so far.
[2:21] Speaker 1: Well episode one was creepy as fuck.
[2:24] Speaker 5: Yeah, but I'm not even surprised. Lots of people once
[2:28] Speaker 5: again complaining online of how uh well old people are
[2:34] Speaker 5: grooming little kids, and.
[2:36] Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I mean, look, no, groom.
[2:38] Speaker 1: It's anime. I saw those anime.
[2:40] Speaker 3: I saw those I saw those tweets, and I'm like,
[2:43] Speaker 3: the people don't know the definition of grooming, it seems.
[2:48] Speaker 5: I probably I probably wouldn't say grooming, but more like
[2:51] Speaker 5: trying to grab momo.
[2:53] Speaker 1: Yeah, in you know, it's anime. Just fucking relax, it's anime.
[2:58] Speaker 4: Which was just terrifying. Right. Yeah, she killed her own
[3:01] Speaker 4: She's one of the more competent of the group, and
[3:03] Speaker 4: she she was able to kind of fight her way
[3:05] Speaker 4: out of that scenario. So the fights themselves were pretty uh,
[3:08] Speaker 4: we're pretty good there.
[3:09] Speaker 2: No, I swear to god.
[3:10] Speaker 3: Someone was talking about the first episode of Don the
[3:12] Speaker 3: Don and they use the word grooming, and I'm just like,
[3:15] Speaker 3: is there aliens coming to like like that? Literally like
[3:18] Speaker 3: they're try to like, I don't know, they're fucked up.
[3:20] Speaker 2: It's scary, it's.
[3:21] Speaker 1: Spooky, they're grown.
[3:23] Speaker 5: Really forget about the uh, don't forget about the robot
[3:27] Speaker 5: aliens that wanted.
[3:29] Speaker 2: Yeah to reproduce it anyway, Jesus.
[3:34] Speaker 1: Anyways, I addressed.
[3:35] Speaker 3: Darling season two if you guys want to talk about that,
[3:37] Speaker 3: but I didn't watch it just because I didn't fans
[3:40] Speaker 3: season one. I watched, I read a bunch of the manga,
[3:42] Speaker 3: so maybe I'll get to it at some point, but
[3:43] Speaker 3: I would want to maybe rewatch season one or like
[3:45] Speaker 3: kind of this re like refresh my memory before I
[3:47] Speaker 3: jumped into this.
[3:49] Speaker 4: Yeah. Uh, I will say I was never like the
[3:53] Speaker 4: biggest fan of season one, like everybody else loved it
[3:56] Speaker 4: and adored it, and I thought it was pretty alright.
[3:58] Speaker 4: But I rewatched it a little bit prior going into
[4:00] Speaker 4: the second season, and I liked it more than I
[4:02] Speaker 4: remembered because I hadn't ever gone back to rewatch it.
[4:05] Speaker 4: So I love series where they kind of like go
[4:07] Speaker 4: deep into like a little niche or passion that somebody
[4:10] Speaker 4: has and they just kind of full on tackle it.
[4:12] Speaker 4: And you know, this one, it's him with his Heena dolls,
[4:15] Speaker 4: and then it's her with her cosplay, and then like
[4:17] Speaker 4: the overlap in between, right, it goes. It kind of
[4:19] Speaker 4: goes over all that and not on top of like
[4:23] Speaker 4: liking it more, I feel like it came back with
[4:25] Speaker 4: a bang. It was It was a fun time we
[4:26] Speaker 4: got to I. I thoroughly enjoyed the first episode of
[4:30] Speaker 4: season two, so excited to see more of.
[4:32] Speaker 2: This one recalon.
[4:35] Speaker 3: Have you been watching season two? I'm happy Jordan liked
[4:37] Speaker 3: the second.
[4:40] Speaker 1: Yeah, I've been watching season two. It's close.
[4:43] Speaker 4: Cloverworks makes it look beautiful, et cetera.
[4:45] Speaker 5: So yeah, so, like Jordan said, clover Works that is
[4:50] Speaker 5: doing really good. It looks pretty. The show was nice.
[4:53] Speaker 5: I love the relationship between Gojo and Marn, but it's
[4:56] Speaker 5: it's pretty much the same as what we've seen in
[4:59] Speaker 5: season one, just you know, more development between the two characters.
[5:03] Speaker 5: You know, cospling Emarn is now cosplaying different characters and
[5:07] Speaker 5: of course, the striking fan service is the primary reason.
[5:11] Speaker 1: Why the male fan of Ase is even watching the
[5:13] Speaker 1: show in the first place. No, but it's so far,
[5:17] Speaker 1: so good. I'm liking it. Simple, but I'm liking it nice.
[5:21] Speaker 4: I would go so far as to say, like I
[5:23] Speaker 4: really I kind of block out fan service, and a
[5:25] Speaker 4: lot of the shows I watch, I don't. I appreciate
[5:27] Speaker 4: it sometimes, but it doesn't. It's not like a make
[5:29] Speaker 4: or break for me. But the characters in this show
[5:31] Speaker 4: really are well written. Like it's it's one of those
[5:34] Speaker 4: things where Gojo. You know, he seems like that trophy
[5:37] Speaker 4: romcom guy in a lot of ways because he is
[5:38] Speaker 4: a teenage boy who doesn't have familiarity with any of
[5:41] Speaker 4: the social interactions at first or or or even other
[5:45] Speaker 4: hobbies kind of outside he's kind of he doesn't have
[5:49] Speaker 4: stuff outside of his hobby that he has interacted with.
[5:52] Speaker 4: But it shows us at the very start of the
[5:53] Speaker 4: first episode the first season that is kind of due
[5:55] Speaker 4: to that trauma he had early on, right, so we
[5:58] Speaker 4: see him kind of tackling that more in this season already,
[6:01] Speaker 4: just based on kind of going out talking to people
[6:05] Speaker 4: he normally won it and seeing that they're not necessarily
[6:08] Speaker 4: going to jump him and judge him based on everything. Right,
[6:10] Speaker 4: it's you can't have that fear of going out in
[6:13] Speaker 4: the world based on previous trauma and stuff like that.
[6:16] Speaker 4: So it's going a little bit more into the characters
[6:18] Speaker 4: than it had prior. And and I'm really enjoying it
[6:21] Speaker 4: so nice.
[6:24] Speaker 2: That's good to hear.
[6:24] Speaker 3: You're making me want to watch it. Yeah, Ki eight
[6:27] Speaker 3: apparently one of the most yet, but still it's it's
[6:32] Speaker 3: the third most popular on this website, but it hasn't
[6:35] Speaker 3: had a first episode. I mean, while so many of
[6:36] Speaker 3: these have had a first episode. But I'm excited for it.
[6:38] Speaker 2: Caid. You know, eight was so good.
[6:41] Speaker 3: The Fragrant Fragrant Flower Ballooms with Dignity.
[6:44] Speaker 2: I like it a lot.
[6:45] Speaker 1: This one was fucking good, really good.
[6:52] Speaker 4: Stick with me here. This one makes me feel racist
[6:54] Speaker 4: because I can't freaking say the name and I keep
[6:56] Speaker 4: saying flagrant flower and it's fragrant flower, but like I'm
[7:00] Speaker 4: getting my r's and l's mixed up in the title.
[7:03] Speaker 4: It's like, I'm just gonna call it blooms or something like, Yeah,
[7:06] Speaker 4: what's the what's the name for this one?
[7:08] Speaker 2: All right? Blooms with dignity.
[7:09] Speaker 3: Honestly, I just love the characters. The two main characters,
[7:13] Speaker 3: I just loved them. They were so like, like she
[7:15] Speaker 3: was so cute. I love that, Like he like is
[7:18] Speaker 3: like feared by everybody and like kind of misinterpreted and
[7:21] Speaker 3: then like she like didn't judge him based off his
[7:23] Speaker 3: looks and whatever, and like and like the kind of
[7:26] Speaker 3: the gossip going around about him. It was just a cute,
[7:29] Speaker 3: wholesome show that kept my attention and looked good.
[7:33] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[7:34] Speaker 4: I think this is one of those examples of like,
[7:36] Speaker 4: you don't have to do anything groundbreaking or breathtaking to,
[7:40] Speaker 4: you know, to be good. It's just really well polished
[7:43] Speaker 4: as far as like the story it's telling right, so
[7:46] Speaker 4: very high quality. It was fun. I enjoyed it.
[7:50] Speaker 5: Clover Works once again, we all know how good their
[7:53] Speaker 5: fucking animation is. Visually, this this show is beautiful to watch.
[7:57] Speaker 5: It's simple, it's a simple story, but it's really cute
[8:00] Speaker 5: and wholesome. And I was surprised that the guy, the
[8:03] Speaker 5: delinquent boy, works in a pastry shop and he has
[8:07] Speaker 5: to talk to people, and like everybody's just afraid of him.
[8:10] Speaker 1: So I was kind of surprised of that.
[8:12] Speaker 5: But I really like the concept of how he's in
[8:15] Speaker 5: a school of lowlife boys in a in a really
[8:19] Speaker 5: poor environment and the girl is more in a super
[8:23] Speaker 5: rich academy with girls that don't like the guys, and
[8:26] Speaker 5: they're right next door as well.
[8:28] Speaker 4: It is weird how like they're right next door, right,
[8:30] Speaker 4: That part is a bit strange, But.
[8:33] Speaker 3: They could have done a couple down the street, like.
[8:39] Speaker 4: Okay, right, braves, you got to see the window view
[8:41] Speaker 4: the window views, right, and.
[8:42] Speaker 5: They both have the window seat, which makes them the
[8:45] Speaker 5: main character the window seat.
[8:48] Speaker 4: But uh, how crazy is it? Speaking of clover Works though,
[8:52] Speaker 4: that they are doing three anime this season, all like
[8:54] Speaker 4: three of the biggest rom com titles too, Like they're
[8:57] Speaker 4: doing the Bunny Girl series just up Darling and dressed
[9:01] Speaker 4: up Darling and then bloom. Yeah, that's on the same season.
[9:04] Speaker 4: That's a lot, that's and they all look good so far.
[9:07] Speaker 4: I haven't checked out dress or Bunny Girl SIMPI, but
[9:10] Speaker 4: but I trust.
[9:11] Speaker 2: I hope that.
[9:11] Speaker 1: I hope they're not being overworked.
[9:13] Speaker 2: That's a lot.
[9:13] Speaker 4: I hope not too, but damn, I hope it's like
[9:17] Speaker 4: different teams of things. But even so, that doesn't seem sustainable.
[9:20] Speaker 4: That's that's a lot for one season.
[9:24] Speaker 3: The next anime is Gotcha Kuta, which was the one
[9:27] Speaker 3: I was most excited for this season, or one of
[9:29] Speaker 3: the most excited for.
[9:30] Speaker 2: What are your thoughts, guys on this?
[9:33] Speaker 4: You're going? Okay? So I feel like I almost have
[9:38] Speaker 4: to go first, because last time we talked about this,
[9:40] Speaker 4: I was like, you know what, trash, That's what's in
[9:43] Speaker 4: the name. That's probably what it is, trash. But Briggs said, no,
[9:46] Speaker 4: you gotta watch this, and all right, going when you're right,
[9:49] Speaker 4: you're right, Briggs's pretty solid.
[9:51] Speaker 5: I liked it.
[9:52] Speaker 4: It was great, a lot of world building and uh,
[9:55] Speaker 4: episode one that I'm not sure will have like immediate
[9:58] Speaker 4: U It's not like an immediate tell of what the
[10:02] Speaker 4: series itself is going to because it was all set
[10:03] Speaker 4: up for jumping into what's beyond that right, Episode two
[10:07] Speaker 4: and beyond is gonna be way differ than episode one,
[10:08] Speaker 4: it seems like. But it hooked me. It was good
[10:12] Speaker 4: and one man's trash is another man's treasure. It's a
[10:15] Speaker 4: lot of societal commentary in that way, just very on
[10:18] Speaker 4: the nose, very kind of in your face about it.
[10:20] Speaker 4: But nonetheless, quality is good. It looks good. It a
[10:24] Speaker 4: little bit shown in actionly, but it's setting up a
[10:27] Speaker 4: revenge story that makes me want to watch the next
[10:29] Speaker 4: episode and see where it goes. Right, So, oh yeah,
[10:33] Speaker 4: I do think I would like this one.
[10:35] Speaker 5: I was most interested in the world, the actual world,
[10:38] Speaker 5: and how two towns or villages however you want to
[10:42] Speaker 5: call them are split between each other in halfway, the
[10:48] Speaker 5: rich side and the poor side. It's kind of almost
[10:51] Speaker 5: the same as the Bloom series, where you have a
[10:53] Speaker 5: rich school in the popular school, but you have the
[10:57] Speaker 5: rich people who get rid of like qualities stuff, and
[11:01] Speaker 5: the poor people on the other side. A lot of them,
[11:04] Speaker 5: you know, is probably salvage these things to make money.
[11:08] Speaker 5: But the main protagonists, especially is one that goes and
[11:11] Speaker 5: salvages stuff to get some money. But the most interesting
[11:16] Speaker 5: thing about the town that he lives in is the
[11:18] Speaker 5: giant hole where bad people get tossed away if you
[11:23] Speaker 5: commit a crime. And I didn't know what was down there,
[11:29] Speaker 5: but god damn, it was a massive hole.
[11:33] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[11:33] Speaker 3: I feel like the story is just starting in episode two,
[11:36] Speaker 3: like it's like it begins, because at the end of
[11:38] Speaker 3: the episode ends with him falling into the hole and
[11:40] Speaker 3: seeing the.
[11:41] Speaker 1: Monsters and the giant monster.
[11:43] Speaker 3: It was crazy the story, the revenge story and the
[11:46] Speaker 3: training arc or whatever, like the I feel like the
[11:49] Speaker 3: glow up is going to start here because he's not
[11:52] Speaker 3: like he's like strong or anything, right, but he's have
[11:54] Speaker 3: to become a warrior to work his way out of there.
[11:58] Speaker 3: And I like, I really do like the characters, and
[12:02] Speaker 3: I do like the world and the concept. I do
[12:05] Speaker 3: feel like they were kind of telling and not showing.
[12:08] Speaker 2: There was a little bit.
[12:09] Speaker 3: Too much like the action scenes and there was a
[12:13] Speaker 3: lot of exposition that was just like I'm like, well,
[12:15] Speaker 3: just give us a backstory, just show us the whole
[12:17] Speaker 3: like like we didn't need to have all these conversations
[12:20] Speaker 3: about it before we saw it, and like I'm like,
[12:22] Speaker 3: there was a backstory about what happened with the dad,
[12:23] Speaker 3: don't just like all these conversations.
[12:26] Speaker 1: But else I was good. This was good's it was
[12:28] Speaker 1: building up.
[12:29] Speaker 5: It's like I really wanted to see what the fucking
[12:31] Speaker 5: hole was about the entire episode, but the build up
[12:34] Speaker 5: and all of that till the end of the episode
[12:36] Speaker 5: and seeing the monster, I.
[12:37] Speaker 1: Was like, oh, now I want to see more. That
[12:39] Speaker 1: was good.
[12:39] Speaker 3: I like that they ended on ending The way they
[12:42] Speaker 3: did was very good. It makes you want to watch
[12:44] Speaker 3: episode two. And I did like a lot of things
[12:45] Speaker 3: about it, and I'm super excited for where it goes.
[12:48] Speaker 2: I do like it.
[12:49] Speaker 3: I was just one little nitpick, was just like the
[12:51] Speaker 3: exposition where it just like, I know we're going to
[12:54] Speaker 3: get the flashback later on, so maybe don't.
[12:57] Speaker 2: I don't know, I don't know.
[12:59] Speaker 4: Yeah, I say, I don't think it was a masterpiece
[13:01] Speaker 4: or anything to that effect, but it was. It was fun,
[13:03] Speaker 4: right Like, I did enjoy it. I will say, you know,
[13:08] Speaker 4: the concept of like them guarding the trash of the
[13:11] Speaker 4: uh of the wasteful side, the you know, the higher
[13:15] Speaker 4: up side of things, and like it being illegal to
[13:18] Speaker 4: go through that trash was interesting to me, you know.
[13:20] Speaker 4: So he would kind of break in salvage that stuff
[13:24] Speaker 4: and then kind of restore it in order to try
[13:26] Speaker 4: to make some extra money and get buy and whatnot.
[13:28] Speaker 4: He figured it was wasteful not to do that, so
[13:32] Speaker 4: that was all pretty interesting. And then we see him
[13:34] Speaker 4: get caught for the first time while doing it. And
[13:37] Speaker 4: I'm not gonna lie, like it was interesting the way
[13:39] Speaker 4: they did go with it, but there was my heart
[13:42] Speaker 4: kind of stopped midway through that first episode, because in
[13:45] Speaker 4: my head, he gave the girl he likes the bunny
[13:48] Speaker 4: rabbit right that he had stolen and then restored, and
[13:52] Speaker 4: my my thought process was, oh, crap, is she gonna
[13:55] Speaker 4: get in trouble for that? Like I saw it as
[13:58] Speaker 4: soon as you see the police arching through, right, So
[14:00] Speaker 4: it didn't go that way, not quite as dark as
[14:03] Speaker 4: as I expected in that way, but she felt betrayed.
[14:06] Speaker 1: She thinks he was a murderer.
[14:07] Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I was like, it's not as bad as
[14:12] Speaker 4: it could have been, but it's still hurt. And it's
[14:14] Speaker 4: like one where it's like you get it from her perspective, right, Everybody,
[14:18] Speaker 4: her parents, her friends, everybody said, like, you know, she's
[14:21] Speaker 4: They've warned him about this kid. They said, he's like this,
[14:24] Speaker 4: he's like that, and she's like tried to go against
[14:26] Speaker 4: the grain. And then from his perspective, right, that's the
[14:29] Speaker 4: one person that ever trusted him in the whole world, right,
[14:31] Speaker 4: and kind of believed in him, and then as soon
[14:33] Speaker 4: as things got tough, she she stopped believing in him, right.
[14:36] Speaker 5: And the thing is everybody around the town is just
[14:39] Speaker 5: talking about him because he is the son of a murderer.
[14:43] Speaker 5: I think of like his father used to be a criminal,
[14:48] Speaker 5: So everybody is assuming that, oh, one day he's going
[14:51] Speaker 5: to commit a crime and he's going to do something bad,
[14:53] Speaker 5: and what do you know, the day came, but it
[14:55] Speaker 5: was accusations. He was excused for murder, and he got
[15:00] Speaker 5: framed and he got toussed away, which was sad.
[15:03] Speaker 1: And that's the first time he got caught.
[15:05] Speaker 3: I get why the girl like like flipped on him.
[15:09] Speaker 3: I kind of was hoping that she wouldn't, Like I
[15:12] Speaker 3: was hoping that, Yeah, I was. I was hoping that
[15:16] Speaker 3: she would know him well enough to know that he
[15:18] Speaker 3: would never kill the person that like he cares about
[15:20] Speaker 3: so much, Like if you actually know him, you would
[15:22] Speaker 3: know that like he cares about that person. But also
[15:25] Speaker 3: I see the perspective, like everyone's warned her about him,
[15:29] Speaker 3: and now it's like, yeah, he's just meeting their expectations,
[15:31] Speaker 3: which he's been told is entirely tame. And maybe they
[15:33] Speaker 3: don't know each other that well. He's shy, right, Yeah,
[15:37] Speaker 3: they made.
[15:37] Speaker 4: It understandable from both ways. But my my initial gut
[15:41] Speaker 4: feeling was from his perspective and yours as well. Right
[15:43] Speaker 4: there where you're like man, that hurts, right, So they
[15:46] Speaker 4: made it like a gut punch with her dropping the bunny.
[15:50] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[15:50] Speaker 4: Yeah. Interesting. Overall, I'm still a bit confused by the
[15:54] Speaker 4: Treashuer side of town. They say everybody there is like
[15:56] Speaker 4: a you know, a descendant at least of a criminal
[15:59] Speaker 4: or criminal themselves, and that's why they're on that side.
[16:02] Speaker 4: But then also I guess there's if you're a criminal,
[16:05] Speaker 4: you also get sent down in the pit. So I
[16:07] Speaker 4: guess there's levels to this stuff. Does it depend on
[16:09] Speaker 4: the level of the crime or things like that, right,
[16:11] Speaker 4: So I that's a big.
[16:13] Speaker 1: I don't think it's I don't think it's that. It's
[16:15] Speaker 1: more like you're just poor because the other side is rich.
[16:18] Speaker 1: They have a lot of money and shit.
[16:20] Speaker 4: I think they said at some point though during the
[16:22] Speaker 4: exposition that like the you know, the people that live
[16:24] Speaker 4: there were like de sendence of people that had committed
[16:26] Speaker 4: crimes and stuff. Though it was my understanding I.
[16:29] Speaker 3: Think, like, yeah, if you're like dad committed a crime,
[16:32] Speaker 3: your family ends up in the slums. Yeah, like eventually amazing,
[16:35] Speaker 3: like blue.
[16:35] Speaker 4: Collar crime, pickpocketing maybe stuff like that, you end up
[16:38] Speaker 4: over there. And then they're like, if you kill somebody
[16:39] Speaker 4: it's the pit or something. Maybe there's levels. I'm not sure,
[16:42] Speaker 4: but that was that could have been explaining maybe a
[16:44] Speaker 4: little bit better because I'm confused. There's stills.
[16:48] Speaker 2: Well, we'll see, We'll see.
[16:50] Speaker 3: Anyway, I'm excited for more, super excited with the way
[16:52] Speaker 3: the episode ended. I want to see his like underdog story,
[16:55] Speaker 3: coming back, getting revenge, so on and so forth. But
[16:58] Speaker 3: I'm also just curious as to what's down there and
[17:00] Speaker 3: what it's like. Is it just a bunch of trash
[17:02] Speaker 3: and monsters and fugitives.
[17:06] Speaker 2: Or more I don't know. Maybe anyway.
[17:08] Speaker 3: The Summer Heikadu Died is the next most popular. I
[17:13] Speaker 3: really like this concept. It's very yes, cool, creepy, but
[17:19] Speaker 3: also interesting to me. So basically, this guy Hikadu went
[17:23] Speaker 3: to the forest, died, demon took over his body, came back.
[17:26] Speaker 3: The demon was like pretending to be him, and the
[17:30] Speaker 3: friend notices that this is not my friend anymore, this
[17:33] Speaker 3: is someone different. You have this creepy scene where like
[17:36] Speaker 3: he kind of shows that he is a demon, but.
[17:39] Speaker 2: He seems like a chill, cool dude.
[17:41] Speaker 3: And and he just like I like bigger human blah
[17:44] Speaker 3: blah blah like and he's like and then the friend
[17:47] Speaker 3: the friends like he probably misses his friend so much
[17:51] Speaker 3: that you understand like this is not him, but you
[17:54] Speaker 3: also don't want him to like really go because it's
[17:57] Speaker 3: like you're kind of keeping your friend in a way
[17:59] Speaker 3: that like should be dead and should be gone.
[18:02] Speaker 2: So it's like hard to say goodbye.
[18:04] Speaker 3: But it's a fucking demon, right, And then you have
[18:06] Speaker 3: those creepy scenes with like I think he killed some
[18:10] Speaker 3: grandma and knight, so he's super chill when he's talking
[18:12] Speaker 3: to his friend during the day, but someone killed someone
[18:15] Speaker 3: at night, and it's like there's this mystery, there's this
[18:17] Speaker 3: creepy psychological as supernatural psychological aspect to it.
[18:20] Speaker 2: I really like it. It's so going on.
[18:24] Speaker 5: So Brigo, the reason why he actually killed the old
[18:27] Speaker 5: lady was because he Hikutu or the new Hikutu, doesn't
[18:32] Speaker 5: want people to find out that he's a demon, so
[18:35] Speaker 5: she because the old lady already knew that this guy
[18:39] Speaker 5: is possessed by a demon, that's why he wanted to
[18:41] Speaker 5: kill her, just to make sure that he is.
[18:44] Speaker 1: His cover is not blown, So he kills.
[18:46] Speaker 2: The old lady.
[18:46] Speaker 3: I think that's that's a very realistic potential optionist to
[18:50] Speaker 3: why that happened.
[18:51] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, but this is a very interesting anime. I'm
[18:56] Speaker 1: not gonna lie. I saw it on Netflix, both episodes,
[18:59] Speaker 1: and it is so hooking.
[19:01] Speaker 5: It's got some boy love here and there, because you know,
[19:05] Speaker 5: he could have was like, hey, you like me and
[19:07] Speaker 5: all that. So but there isn't really any yowie you
[19:11] Speaker 5: know stuff going on.
[19:12] Speaker 1: But you can see that there's a little bit of
[19:14] Speaker 1: boys love. But I don't I don't mind. It's it's
[19:16] Speaker 1: good so far. It's creepy, it's horrific.
[19:20] Speaker 5: I don't know what the fuck is gonna happen, but
[19:23] Speaker 5: we shall see if any more killing is.
[19:25] Speaker 1: Gonna go around during the night or whatnot. But yeah,
[19:29] Speaker 1: it's good.
[19:29] Speaker 4: I have not watched this one, so I might need
[19:31] Speaker 4: to check it out.
[19:32] Speaker 3: This one might be my favorite so far this season.
[19:34] Speaker 4: Okay, it's good. Before we move on to the next one,
[19:37] Speaker 4: can we talk about my favorite one of the seasons
[19:39] Speaker 4: so far? That uh and I'd actually don't see here
[19:42] Speaker 4: on any chart. So it's also one of the most
[19:43] Speaker 4: popular coming out right now that I like, I said,
[19:47] Speaker 4: I just don't see it listed. But to Kobe's original sin,
[19:50] Speaker 4: I figured if we're gonna talk about that, we might
[19:52] Speaker 4: as well talk about it pretty early on. Have you
[19:54] Speaker 4: guys checked that out at all?
[19:55] Speaker 3: Or I was going off of like any chart popularity,
[19:57] Speaker 3: so if it wasn't on here?
[19:58] Speaker 4: But is it cold? Any list to Coopey's original sin
[20:02] Speaker 4: I sent a message because we forgot to talk about
[20:04] Speaker 4: it entirely last time. But it's based on a manga
[20:08] Speaker 4: I watch.
[20:09] Speaker 2: I watched Ruy Rocks for you.
[20:12] Speaker 4: I appreciate that because that's my second favorite right now.
[20:14] Speaker 4: I love Rory Rocks, but so copy it is depressing
[20:19] Speaker 4: as hell. It's definitely a more mature series. It's an OVA,
[20:22] Speaker 4: so it's only like six episodes.
[20:25] Speaker 3: That's probably why if it's O NA or O v A, I.
[20:31] Speaker 4: Haven't seen it six episodes. It's coming out right now.
[20:33] Speaker 4: That first episode that I watched was like a thirty
[20:36] Speaker 4: forty minute episode and it broke me, Like it that's it.
[20:40] Speaker 4: It's there's a reason it's one of the highest rated
[20:42] Speaker 4: things coming out right now. I need to catch up
[20:45] Speaker 4: with it so I can avoid spoilers. But it is
[20:47] Speaker 4: it is like hard to watch. It covers a lot
[20:49] Speaker 4: of sensitive topics, but it's uh, it's really good. It's
[20:52] Speaker 4: really good.
[20:54] Speaker 2: Nice.
[20:55] Speaker 3: I'll I'll write it down, I'll check it out. I'm
[20:57] Speaker 3: down Call the Night. Season two I didn't watch because
[21:01] Speaker 3: I dropped season one.
[21:02] Speaker 2: Did you guys watch it?
[21:04] Speaker 5: Yeah?
[21:04] Speaker 1: I didn't watch the same the same thing, the same thing.
[21:08] Speaker 5: Yeah, just slice of lifey boring, amazing visuals. But that's
[21:13] Speaker 5: about it. It's exactly as what we've talked about. It's
[21:16] Speaker 5: just the continuation. But it's nothing really special. I'm not
[21:19] Speaker 5: blown away or anything.
[21:21] Speaker 3: Rascal does not dream of Santa Claus. I'm not watching
[21:24] Speaker 3: it until I watched the movies, and I haven't had
[21:26] Speaker 3: any actually haven't.
[21:27] Speaker 1: I actually haven't seen this one yet, not yet.
[21:30] Speaker 3: I love the original Body Girls sent By, but I
[21:32] Speaker 3: feel like I need to rewatch it, watch the movies.
[21:34] Speaker 3: This is a sequel to the film, so like I
[21:36] Speaker 3: got to catch up before I jump into it. Soakamoto
[21:39] Speaker 3: Days isn't out yet, but I'm super excited for it.
[21:42] Speaker 3: We have Rising of the Shield hero of season four,
[21:44] Speaker 3: which I just don't care about it.
[21:47] Speaker 2: Apparently it's good. I like it nice.
[21:51] Speaker 5: I don't really want to talk about it because you
[21:53] Speaker 5: guys are just gonna get bored and shit.
[21:54] Speaker 1: But just know it's it's good. I like Shield Hero.
[21:58] Speaker 4: I always need to talk about it. I do like
[22:01] Speaker 4: Shield Hero. I've read it.
[22:02] Speaker 3: Also, Shield Hero season four was all right, apparently that's
[22:07] Speaker 3: what chat saying. Okay that that sounds all right, that
[22:09] Speaker 3: sounds about right. Are you watching Graham Blue Jordan?
[22:15] Speaker 4: I I did. Yeah, I watched the first, uh first
[22:17] Speaker 4: episode of season two yesterday and pretty funny. Uh have
[22:22] Speaker 4: you guys seen it?
[22:22] Speaker 3: I guess or id so I didn't?
[22:25] Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, so so, uh we find out he has
[22:29] Speaker 4: a little sister, so that that kind of comes in
[22:31] Speaker 4: at first in here early on in season two, but
[22:34] Speaker 4: kind of just more of the same, just high jinks
[22:36] Speaker 4: between some of the characters. It made me laugh a
[22:38] Speaker 4: couple of times. Pretty funny. Uh yeah, we need to
[22:41] Speaker 4: watch the live action with Ricannie at some point. It
[22:43] Speaker 4: just just everything you're.
[22:45] Speaker 5: You're not really missing out on much on on season
[22:48] Speaker 5: two whis literally the same.
[22:49] Speaker 1: It's just comedy, humor and gag and all that.
[22:51] Speaker 5: So uh, it's it's it's it's a show where you
[22:54] Speaker 5: just turn off your brain and watch characters have.
[22:56] Speaker 1: Fun and party.
[22:57] Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, that's pretty much what it is.
[23:02] Speaker 1: Keep in mind this anime is about scuba diving, not.
[23:05] Speaker 4: Really exactly Scooba diving, and it has a thing where introduced,
[23:09] Speaker 4: like one joke here, one joke of there, and then
[23:10] Speaker 4: it does a good job of like building off that
[23:12] Speaker 4: a little bit right. It'll bring it up later in
[23:13] Speaker 4: the episode and you're like, oh, that came full circles.
[23:16] Speaker 4: So it's uh, it's a good time.
[23:18] Speaker 3: Nice fan service though both ways too, sah yeah service
[23:25] Speaker 3: ye love it anyway. Doctor Stone Science Future Core twos out.
[23:28] Speaker 3: I think I might just let a bunch of episodes
[23:30] Speaker 3: come out for this and then watch them all at once,
[23:32] Speaker 3: because I love Doctor Stone. Like I fell off initially,
[23:36] Speaker 3: like back when season one was airing, but I rewatched
[23:38] Speaker 3: it all recently just to catch up, and it is
[23:42] Speaker 3: so good, like it gets better and better and better.
[23:45] Speaker 2: It is one of those.
[23:45] Speaker 4: Shows I need to watch the anime at some point.
[23:48] Speaker 4: I love the manga. It was fun. It was fun.
[23:52] Speaker 2: Nice. Did you guys watch go ahead?
[23:55] Speaker 4: I was gonna say, if you want to talk about
[23:56] Speaker 4: Rory Rocks though, that's the true Doctor Stone at this Yes,
[23:59] Speaker 4: I am as. I learned all about minerals, geology. It
[24:03] Speaker 4: was a good time. There was more in it learning
[24:05] Speaker 4: wise than I expected, and I was all for it.
[24:08] Speaker 2: So nice.
[24:09] Speaker 3: Did you guys watch The Water The Water Magician, and
[24:12] Speaker 3: We're gonna talk about Ruey Rock soon. I'm gonna I'm
[24:14] Speaker 3: gonna start going through all the ones that I've seen slowly,
[24:16] Speaker 3: but I'm still kind of going popularity wise.
[24:19] Speaker 2: The Water Magician.
[24:21] Speaker 4: I just watched the first episode of that. It was okay.
[24:24] Speaker 4: I guess it was pretty okay, nothing special, yeah, setting
[24:28] Speaker 4: things up.
[24:28] Speaker 5: Very slow, slow living, just him exploring his powers and
[24:33] Speaker 5: finding out where the funk he isn't all that so.
[24:35] Speaker 2: I was quite I'm honest.
[24:36] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a bit of a boring first episode.
[24:39] Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, Silent which was better, though I don't Water
[24:44] Speaker 4: is pretty.
[24:45] Speaker 2: You like Silent, which I don't dislike.
[24:49] Speaker 4: It was very pretty. There was a little bit too
[24:52] Speaker 4: much exposition in that first episode, so I do have
[24:54] Speaker 4: complaints with it. But uh, but overall, I would say
[24:57] Speaker 4: it was like probably top five of me for the
[24:59] Speaker 4: season thus far. If we're talking non sequels.
[25:01] Speaker 3: Like, okay, I still think my my number one pick
[25:05] Speaker 3: this season is The Summer He Got Who Died?
[25:08] Speaker 4: You need to really I need to check that one.
[25:10] Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, especially for non sequels, like Don to
[25:13] Speaker 3: Don will probably end up being better than it. But
[25:14] Speaker 3: like for first episodes, just all first episodes, I think
[25:18] Speaker 3: summary he Could Die was my favorite first episode out
[25:21] Speaker 3: of like, you know.
[25:22] Speaker 5: What, I'd agree with that. I would go he could
[25:26] Speaker 5: do first, and then got Chakuta second.
[25:28] Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what I would Okay, I think so too,
[25:31] Speaker 4: got Chakuta second? Oh my god. Yeah, Okay.
[25:33] Speaker 3: For first episodes, the original sin was mine.
[25:36] Speaker 4: And then Rory Rock's probably number two. I guess I
[25:39] Speaker 4: probably like that one more than you guys, though I
[25:42] Speaker 4: don't really enjoy it.
[25:43] Speaker 3: All right, let's talk about Uby Ross, think about mentioning it.
[25:45] Speaker 3: Let's talk about all right. I really like the animation. Yeah,
[25:50] Speaker 3: the one cute, it's it held my attention. The characters
[25:56] Speaker 3: are super likable, a lot of good things going for it.
[25:58] Speaker 3: One nitpick that drive Mere, that stuper the super thick
[26:02] Speaker 3: older girl has the face has the face of a baby.
[26:07] Speaker 2: Pass me off.
[26:08] Speaker 4: Just the art style.
[26:09] Speaker 1: Its just the art the art styles I hate.
[26:13] Speaker 4: It's a very wholesome show. Okay. You go in, you're
[26:15] Speaker 4: learning about rocks. At first she just wants to buy rocks,
[26:18] Speaker 4: but then she wants to buy by the end, she
[26:19] Speaker 4: wants to buy the tools to go out and find
[26:21] Speaker 4: rocks because we learn all about how they work, minerals,
[26:24] Speaker 4: the science behind them, tectonic plates, Like this is what
[26:28] Speaker 4: you show in a classroom. Okay, this is what doctor
[26:30] Speaker 4: Stone wanted to be. This is what it would be.
[26:34] Speaker 5: I'm not gonna lie this show for me. I love
[26:37] Speaker 5: Studio Bind because they did They're one of my favorite studios.
[26:41] Speaker 5: But I'm gonna have to say this anime so far
[26:45] Speaker 5: is a fucking snooze fest.
[26:47] Speaker 4: No, this is so sad.
[26:51] Speaker 5: Maybe because I'm not really too much into all this
[26:53] Speaker 5: fucking science and tectonic plates and girls exploring minerals and
[26:58] Speaker 5: ship but yeah, learn I was just so mainly this is.
[27:02] Speaker 1: The truth, by the way, and I'm speaking this like
[27:04] Speaker 1: a true man of culture.
[27:06] Speaker 5: I was closing my eyes a lot in the first episode,
[27:10] Speaker 5: but as soon as the thick girl came on screen
[27:12] Speaker 5: with the boba.
[27:13] Speaker 1: I had my eyes open wide. And then when she's
[27:17] Speaker 1: gone on like closing them again.
[27:19] Speaker 4: This is so sad. I was like, I was more
[27:21] Speaker 4: fascinated with her outfit. She had like a little bell
[27:23] Speaker 4: on her head and I can't figure out why I
[27:24] Speaker 4: even looked it up. I'm like, do geologists like wear bells?
[27:27] Speaker 4: And just like no, like that's not like, that's just
[27:29] Speaker 4: I don't know what the bell was about. She's just
[27:31] Speaker 4: where's a little bell? And I think that's the door
[27:32] Speaker 4: I see.
[27:33] Speaker 3: I might be on this, So I would actually be
[27:35] Speaker 3: on a similar page to Rieka. And if she didn't
[27:37] Speaker 3: look like her face was like seven years old. While
[27:39] Speaker 3: the rest of like like her, like.
[27:41] Speaker 2: Her, like I like the I.
[27:44] Speaker 3: Like the relationship between like the kid and and the
[27:47] Speaker 3: and the and the and the woman. It's super cute.
[27:49] Speaker 3: Their conversations are good, the science is cool. Like I
[27:52] Speaker 3: liked everything except for the moy face on this thick
[27:56] Speaker 3: woman driving crazy the entire time.
[27:59] Speaker 1: How old does she anyways?
[28:00] Speaker 4: She's in college college said college grad school, so three
[28:06] Speaker 4: to twenty four, twenty five something like that.
[28:09] Speaker 1: And she has a baby. That's so weird.
[28:10] Speaker 4: But anyways, she doesn't have a baby. Like the girl
[28:13] Speaker 4: just kind of saw her. That'd be the weird part, right,
[28:15] Speaker 4: Like she saw this lady giant hammer Thor style out
[28:18] Speaker 4: in the woods and she's like, I want you to
[28:20] Speaker 4: show me the way, show me how to live Barney
[28:22] Speaker 4: Senton style. That's how they met and she just kind
[28:24] Speaker 4: of folded her around. So yeah, I like it. I
[28:28] Speaker 4: like I met my teacher.
[28:30] Speaker 3: I don't know if I would like watch the entire season,
[28:32] Speaker 3: but I'll watch another episode for sure.
[28:35] Speaker 4: I've enjoined this one. But but yeah, I could see
[28:38] Speaker 4: the Mowey style, like throwing people off if it's not
[28:40] Speaker 4: their thing. I feel like artichell doesn't bother me too much.
[28:43] Speaker 3: Moy would work if they were like high school students,
[28:47] Speaker 3: or like middle middle school students, or it just late
[28:50] Speaker 3: they all had smaller bodies.
[28:52] Speaker 2: But just like, she's fucking.
[28:54] Speaker 3: Thick, dude, She's thick and older and so hot and
[28:59] Speaker 3: then her face is said years old, and it kills me.
[29:02] Speaker 4: It's not it's not about being hot burns.
[29:05] Speaker 2: This is like, I know, it's not what it's most
[29:07] Speaker 2: to me about.
[29:09] Speaker 4: This wholesome stuff right here?
[29:10] Speaker 1: Okay, look, it was cute, it's just not really.
[29:16] Speaker 3: Well, they should scientifically make your face look more accurate.
[29:21] Speaker 2: Anyway.
[29:21] Speaker 3: Anyway, I'm trying to think what else did I watch here? Oh?
[29:26] Speaker 5: Have you guys watched the anime that I told you
[29:29] Speaker 5: guys about New Saga Be Stronger?
[29:32] Speaker 4: I did?
[29:32] Speaker 2: I did this, bastard one.
[29:35] Speaker 4: No, No, New saga is the one where he like
[29:40] Speaker 4: dies fighting like the demons and.
[29:42] Speaker 1: Then oh I forgot to watch that one.
[29:47] Speaker 4: Oh no, no, SoC I'm gonna be honest with you.
[29:51] Speaker 4: I've read a few mon wan my day, right, like,
[29:54] Speaker 4: and I'm not a big Monoa guy, but I read
[29:56] Speaker 4: one for this No, not for this one, but I
[29:59] Speaker 4: read one that's that's That's my point though, is that
[30:01] Speaker 4: it doesn't have to be for this. I read one
[30:03] Speaker 4: called a Returner's Magic should be special. Oh yeah, that's
[30:06] Speaker 4: the whole thing. Yeah, yeah, I read that whole thing
[30:09] Speaker 4: and it was like a couple hundred chapters, right, So, like,
[30:11] Speaker 4: and I've read some stuff that started very similar. So
[30:14] Speaker 4: I've just seen this thing done so many times where
[30:16] Speaker 4: I'm like, it wasn't bad, Like I didn't hate it,
[30:20] Speaker 4: and I could keep watching it and stuff, but unless
[30:23] Speaker 4: it didn't do anything outside the box, though, it was
[30:25] Speaker 4: still very very standard, very trophy. Like I like, I've
[30:29] Speaker 4: seen this storyline done a few times, so so that
[30:32] Speaker 4: that was that was my thike prior I watched it.
[30:35] Speaker 4: I stand by that it really didn't do anything to
[30:37] Speaker 4: outside the box. But uh, I could see myself maybe
[30:40] Speaker 4: watching more, but it was just kind of all right, right,
[30:42] Speaker 4: it didn't really go over the top with anything. It
[30:44] Speaker 4: just uh, it's just pretty okay. I feel like I
[30:50] Speaker 4: just did. Like he died, he goes back, he like
[30:52] Speaker 4: gets to start over again, and we don't really get
[30:54] Speaker 4: to see the journey start, but like he knows stuff
[30:56] Speaker 4: is going to go down in three years time, right,
[30:58] Speaker 4: so he has to kind of try to prepare it.
[31:00] Speaker 3: So we'll see where he goes with it from there
[31:02] Speaker 3: and how he watched how he changes in like the
[31:06] Speaker 3: second or third episode, you know, in.
[31:08] Speaker 4: A returner's magic should be special. When I read that,
[31:11] Speaker 4: Like the thing I did like about that was, you know,
[31:13] Speaker 4: he did get strong by the end where he was
[31:15] Speaker 4: uh fighting things, but he just couldn't do it all
[31:18] Speaker 4: on his own. So he knew other people that lasted
[31:20] Speaker 4: a long time. He met them earlier on and tried
[31:23] Speaker 4: to kind of train them up and prepare them. M
[31:24] Speaker 4: h uh. You know, so like that that was cool,
[31:27] Speaker 4: and this one he seems more like like there's people
[31:30] Speaker 4: he knows and he's glad they're okay and stuff, but
[31:32] Speaker 4: he seems more like determined to do it alone. So
[31:34] Speaker 4: like it might take that route of I got to
[31:36] Speaker 4: be the one he doesn't it doesn't go that case, okay,
[31:39] Speaker 4: does he doesn't do it alone on it? Okay? Because
[31:41] Speaker 4: I've only seen episode one, so that's how he seems
[31:44] Speaker 4: like he was kind of veering at the end of
[31:45] Speaker 4: the episode, and I'm like, I hope that's not the case,
[31:47] Speaker 4: like you can at least make it, okay.
[31:49] Speaker 5: I've watched all three episode and and they all go
[31:52] Speaker 5: on a journey together like okay, okay, and that's it's
[31:56] Speaker 5: when it starts. So I need to watch watch I'm sure,
[31:59] Speaker 5: guys impressed.
[32:01] Speaker 3: I can't believe I forgot to watch that one. That's
[32:02] Speaker 3: what just ugly mug epic fighter. It was fucking hilarious.
[32:09] Speaker 2: Gotcha.
[32:11] Speaker 3: It says ugly mug epic fighter in English here, I
[32:14] Speaker 3: mean the Japanese title is gotcha fighter, got it.
[32:18] Speaker 2: Got it.
[32:18] Speaker 3: So it was just so over the top, like he
[32:22] Speaker 3: shot an arrow and a dragon came out of the sky,
[32:25] Speaker 3: like it was so fucking funny. It was killing me.
[32:27] Speaker 4: He let a little bit overpowered, like it.
[32:30] Speaker 3: Kind of bothered me how extreme he went with his
[32:33] Speaker 3: like he could have got negative two hundred and twenty
[32:35] Speaker 3: five looks. But then he's like if a girl if
[32:38] Speaker 3: a girl touches me, I lose ten percent of my HP. Okay,
[32:41] Speaker 3: that's fine. And then it was like, if I have sex,
[32:44] Speaker 3: I die. It's like, why are you doing this to yourself? Man,
[32:47] Speaker 3: you're already kryled.
[32:48] Speaker 1: He touched a woman and lost.
[32:52] Speaker 3: More than half of his million h me, it would
[32:56] Speaker 3: have been enough to kill the entire planet.
[33:00] Speaker 4: Finally, a relatable yas the guy let's go all right.
[33:03] Speaker 4: I love how it can kind of self incertain into
[33:06] Speaker 4: love how.
[33:07] Speaker 5: He just killed one monster, one mob and he got
[33:11] Speaker 5: so much points out of it that he literally just
[33:14] Speaker 5: maxed out all his fucking stats in one go.
[33:17] Speaker 1: He's he's just broken the.
[33:22] Speaker 3: Negative and fifty five looks like I feel like, what
[33:24] Speaker 3: what if he just like starts working out, Like right
[33:27] Speaker 3: now he's just a super super fat Like, what if
[33:29] Speaker 3: he just gets jacked? This is this is this is
[33:32] Speaker 3: this could be the best underdog story of all time.
[33:34] Speaker 1: I don't know, man, this could easily turn into a
[33:36] Speaker 1: hen tie and you know it.
[33:38] Speaker 3: All he all he needs is a hair transplant and
[33:40] Speaker 3: the list of weights and he's fucking there.
[33:42] Speaker 4: Some of the best stories it's about watching the characters
[33:44] Speaker 4: grow and mature and you know, watching the come up
[33:47] Speaker 4: right the redemption, and the further they start down, the
[33:51] Speaker 4: better that is to watch. But I feel like that's
[33:53] Speaker 4: not going to be the case here.
[33:54] Speaker 3: So honestly, this is just really really funny and really
[33:57] Speaker 3: I want it really entertaining.
[33:59] Speaker 2: I really liked it.
[34:00] Speaker 5: Yeah, Studio White Fox, Okay, animation, but yeah, this was
[34:04] Speaker 5: this was not bad.
[34:05] Speaker 3: Did you guys do your homework and watch the Turkey
[34:08] Speaker 3: Bowling Anime?
[34:10] Speaker 4: I didn't watch it because the scores were still really bad.
[34:13] Speaker 4: But I heard it wasn't a bowling anime? Is what
[34:15] Speaker 4: I heard? Is that accurate? It's just like a misdirect?
[34:19] Speaker 5: Is that?
[34:19] Speaker 1: No, I haven't seen it.
[34:21] Speaker 3: It was a ball at least at first. The whole
[34:23] Speaker 3: first episode was about bowling.
[34:25] Speaker 4: So if I watch it, I'm going to get my
[34:26] Speaker 4: cute girls doing cute things and Slice of Life and
[34:28] Speaker 4: all that is that? Is that what I'm hearing?
[34:30] Speaker 2: Yes, wait, neither of you guys watched it?
[34:34] Speaker 5: No? I did not.
[34:35] Speaker 4: I haven't got I considered it, and I saw how
[34:37] Speaker 4: low the scores were after the first couple episodes, and like,
[34:39] Speaker 4: do I do I want?
[34:40] Speaker 1: Damn, that's slow.
[34:41] Speaker 2: You didn't do your homework? You guys, didn't do your homework.
[34:44] Speaker 4: I'd already watched like twelve episodes.
[34:45] Speaker 1: I was like, you didn't do your homework for New Soccer.
[34:48] Speaker 3: Come on, that's what I'm saying. You can't be mad
[34:51] Speaker 3: at me if you guys didn't watch Turkey.
[34:52] Speaker 2: I watched Grewery Rocks.
[34:55] Speaker 3: That was good though, so I actually was quite enjoying
[34:58] Speaker 3: it because it was so as bowling anime. Cute girls bowling. Yeah,
[35:03] Speaker 3: it was like one of the girls is into bowling
[35:06] Speaker 3: since she was like a child, and then she wanted
[35:08] Speaker 3: to put a team together, but like there was no
[35:09] Speaker 3: bowling team, so she asked two of her friends to join,
[35:12] Speaker 3: but they didn't really like they just joined to help her,
[35:14] Speaker 3: so they weren't very good. And then there's one girl
[35:16] Speaker 3: on the team that's like really into it, and she's
[35:18] Speaker 3: pissed at like these other two girls suck and don't care.
[35:21] Speaker 3: So the team was falling apart. They had like a
[35:23] Speaker 3: little match challenge. They played another school or another club
[35:26] Speaker 3: or whatever. It was cute, little the interactions are actually
[35:29] Speaker 3: held my attention.
[35:30] Speaker 2: It was pretty good.
[35:31] Speaker 3: And then a lightning bolt hit hit like a bowling
[35:34] Speaker 3: ball that was like being excavated like a million years ago,
[35:38] Speaker 3: or like eleven million years ago, like a long time ago.
[35:40] Speaker 3: And then some supernatural shit started happening.
[35:42] Speaker 2: And I'm like, going on into the bowling anime and now.
[35:46] Speaker 3: There are they going to another world. I didn't watch
[35:48] Speaker 3: it so two, and I only watched episode one. Actually
[35:49] Speaker 3: there's no episode two out yet, but I think the time,
[35:52] Speaker 3: I think it.
[35:53] Speaker 2: Might be a bowling yousa guy.
[35:54] Speaker 3: I don't know what's going the last like ten seconds,
[35:57] Speaker 3: like thirty seconds of the anime, I'm like, I'm a
[35:59] Speaker 3: cute bowling anime.
[36:00] Speaker 2: All right, keep bowling anime. I'm invested bowling.
[36:03] Speaker 3: That's a lightning bolt hit the bullying ball, the bowling bolt,
[36:05] Speaker 3: another bowling ball starts glowing and floating.
[36:07] Speaker 2: I'm like, what is going on?
[36:10] Speaker 4: The eminence and shadows start.
[36:13] Speaker 1: Now you're telling me I got to see this.
[36:15] Speaker 5: If this is a bowling ISKI, that's like freshly brand news,
[36:18] Speaker 5: something I've never seen before.
[36:19] Speaker 4: Okay, they branded it to where recon want to try
[36:22] Speaker 4: it out, but low key, it was something right up
[36:24] Speaker 4: his alley.
[36:25] Speaker 1: Bowling sounds really interesting. Have you guys seen Sorry I
[36:34] Speaker 1: caught you off, Jordan.
[36:35] Speaker 4: I was just gonna say I hate that I saw
[36:36] Speaker 4: that this wasn't a bowling anime before I started it.
[36:38] Speaker 4: Otherwise I was so hyped to go into it that
[36:40] Speaker 4: just like disappointed me a little bit where I was like,
[36:42] Speaker 4: I'm just not even gonna bother, but maybe I should
[36:45] Speaker 4: have done the opposite.
[36:47] Speaker 1: Have you guys seen the Outcasts restaurants?
[36:53] Speaker 2: I did?
[36:53] Speaker 4: I did. I watched that because of you Ricon good Briggs.
[36:56] Speaker 1: Nope, see this is exactly mean you don't do your homework.
[37:02] Speaker 1: I don't do my homework.
[37:04] Speaker 3: You should have watched The Supernational Bowling Man.
[37:06] Speaker 2: I don't get it.
[37:07] Speaker 4: I don't specifically say you guys need to watch this one.
[37:11] Speaker 4: And so I was like, all these are the two
[37:13] Speaker 4: I put on my Listen.
[37:14] Speaker 1: He and Jordan will talk about this is your personal favorite.
[37:19] Speaker 5: I know how much you like the Kicked out of
[37:21] Speaker 5: the Hero's party trope where he gets kicked out, but
[37:24] Speaker 5: oh guess what, he's fucking overpowered.
[37:27] Speaker 1: I know you love that alt Right.
[37:31] Speaker 4: From One Piece is basically the main character. I will
[37:33] Speaker 4: say that this dude is a chef, he likes to cook.
[37:35] Speaker 4: He's in the you know, captain, my captain, and then
[37:38] Speaker 4: suddenly he's not in the crew. Anymore. Right, he leaves
[37:40] Speaker 4: the straw Hats and now he decides to open up
[37:43] Speaker 4: his own restaurant. So so that's that's the story thus far.
[37:47] Speaker 4: And you know there's some other high jinks kind of
[37:49] Speaker 4: in there, like him, uh, you know, saving a little
[37:52] Speaker 4: girl and you know her deciding to work there. You know,
[37:55] Speaker 4: child labor. We love that kind of like Roy Rock
[37:58] Speaker 4: go about the child labor he got right, yeah, but
[38:04] Speaker 4: but yeah, he opens up a restaurant and it seems
[38:06] Speaker 4: like it's gonna be pretty wholesome. I don't quite know
[38:08] Speaker 4: where it's gonna go from episode one, but uh, I
[38:11] Speaker 4: didn't hate it, Like it was better than I thought
[38:13] Speaker 4: it would be. I it was one of those I saw.
[38:14] Speaker 4: I didn't really want to go into it all and
[38:16] Speaker 4: I would not have watched him not for recon but
[38:18] Speaker 4: it was pretty all right.
[38:19] Speaker 2: Fair, Yeah, it was good.
[38:22] Speaker 3: There was one other one watching I can't remember Clevitus
[38:27] Speaker 3: Cleavata sort how you guys liking that one so far?
[38:30] Speaker 3: I only watched twenty minutes because that episode was forty five.
[38:32] Speaker 1: It is really dark, super dark, but man.
[38:37] Speaker 4: It's so good.
[38:38] Speaker 3: It starts a good pretty strong I will dar say,
[38:41] Speaker 3: like I'm not like it's like it's amazing or whatever.
[38:43] Speaker 2: But the animation is good, so I knew Ricon. I
[38:45] Speaker 2: don't like it.
[38:45] Speaker 3: The animation is good, and it just starts off like
[38:48] Speaker 3: with so much action. But like sometimes when a series
[38:51] Speaker 3: starts off with action, you like to get your attention.
[38:53] Speaker 3: You're not invested if you don't really know anyone. But
[38:55] Speaker 3: for some reason, like I was pretty invested in these
[38:58] Speaker 3: characters and like this. You know what The thing I
[39:00] Speaker 3: like about it is, I feel like a lot of
[39:02] Speaker 3: the time it's like, well, you need to kill the
[39:03] Speaker 3: monsters and the demons to save the world. And it's
[39:06] Speaker 3: just like this demon saw the humans as like coming
[39:11] Speaker 3: onto his territory and like, I'm going to kill you
[39:13] Speaker 3: guys now because you guys killed like my monsters, Like
[39:17] Speaker 3: it was his territory and a bunch of his monsters
[39:18] Speaker 3: were slaughtered and he's like, now, I like you slaughtered
[39:21] Speaker 3: my monsters.
[39:21] Speaker 2: Like the act of that.
[39:22] Speaker 3: Stephen has a personality like he cares, like there's something
[39:27] Speaker 3: different about it. It's not just like, oh, monsters are evil,
[39:29] Speaker 3: we must kill them, and then the monsters are.
[39:31] Speaker 2: Like, oh, we need to kill humans.
[39:32] Speaker 3: I feel like there was just like a little bit
[39:34] Speaker 3: more depth to it than that, which made me care
[39:36] Speaker 3: because it was just I didn't Sometimes you don't look
[39:38] Speaker 3: at it from that perspective. It's like he wants to
[39:40] Speaker 3: take out the humans because they're just if you continue
[39:43] Speaker 3: to let them expand they're just gonna start killing monsters.
[39:45] Speaker 2: They clear out area for their their their houses and stuff.
[39:48] Speaker 1: Right.
[39:49] Speaker 5: So this is probably also one of my favorites of
[39:53] Speaker 5: this season. It's such a dark story, yet it is
[39:57] Speaker 5: just one of the most captivating shit I've ever seen.
[40:00] Speaker 1: So you got this big.
[40:02] Speaker 5: Demon who is one of the Lord Beasts or whatever,
[40:05] Speaker 5: and he wants to destroy humanity and all that shit.
[40:08] Speaker 5: And he wiped out the hero's party except for one
[40:12] Speaker 5: girl who was blessed with immortality, so if she dies,
[40:17] Speaker 5: she actually reawakens back up. Yet she doesn't actually know
[40:20] Speaker 5: that too much yet she's.
[40:22] Speaker 4: Talking about it these two different shows.
[40:25] Speaker 1: This is Clevatus this moment.
[40:26] Speaker 4: Okay, I hadn't seen it. I wasn't sure if that
[40:29] Speaker 4: was the same show or not.
[40:32] Speaker 5: But Cleavadus, the monster can actually take forms different forms.
[40:37] Speaker 5: So of the woman that was dying with her baby,
[40:41] Speaker 5: he did take her form and he was tasked with
[40:44] Speaker 5: raising that child, because that child is going to be
[40:48] Speaker 5: like the last saving grace for you know, everything, So
[40:53] Speaker 5: he needs to take care of the baby somehow.
[40:55] Speaker 3: Yeah, and I'm gonna be honest, I didn't expect it
[40:57] Speaker 3: to go that direction at all. I watched twenty minutes.
[41:00] Speaker 3: Nothing about those twenty or fifteen twenty minutes thought made
[41:03] Speaker 3: me think it was gonna go that direction.
[41:05] Speaker 2: That's crazy.
[41:05] Speaker 4: I'm gonna be honest. You guys both just described the
[41:07] Speaker 4: same anime, but it sounded so different both times, Like
[41:10] Speaker 4: I don't know what to think. I've so I couldn't
[41:13] Speaker 4: repeat back to you what this show is about, but
[41:15] Speaker 4: I might have.
[41:15] Speaker 5: Let me tell you straight up, its dark because there's
[41:18] Speaker 5: a lot of deaths and there's also a little bit
[41:21] Speaker 5: of sexual content in terms of like rape and shit.
[41:25] Speaker 3: But yeah, yeah, you look at the synopsis. The synopsis
[41:32] Speaker 3: is it makes it takes a three sixty as well,
[41:34] Speaker 3: or like a one eighty. The story centers on the
[41:38] Speaker 3: whatever the Clevitus, the lord of dark beasts who wields
[41:41] Speaker 3: both uncanny intellect and destructive power. Frustrated by the thirteen
[41:45] Speaker 3: heroes task to destroy him, he has decided to be
[41:47] Speaker 3: rid of humanity.
[41:48] Speaker 2: Once and for all.
[41:49] Speaker 3: So that's the kind of how it starts, with all
[41:51] Speaker 3: that action, fighting, killing whatever. However, he has been charged
[41:55] Speaker 3: with one nuisance. He revived the hero he personally slaid
[41:59] Speaker 3: and adopts an orphan humanoid baby, Like, well, I what
[42:04] Speaker 3: where did where did this come from?
[42:07] Speaker 4: Said that first episode.
[42:09] Speaker 5: That's why what the girl is blessed with immortality, so
[42:12] Speaker 5: when she dies, she just reawakens because of him.
[42:14] Speaker 3: Speaking of immortality, the fucking water magician guy has theymore
[42:17] Speaker 3: has like eternal youth as well, like what like what
[42:19] Speaker 3: going on?
[42:20] Speaker 2: He shows? They just kind of tossed that in the
[42:22] Speaker 2: threw that in there at the end.
[42:24] Speaker 4: Even think Michael's like, oh my god, I forgot about
[42:26] Speaker 4: that or didn't notice.
[42:27] Speaker 3: That other animes. So that's basically what I've seen up
[42:33] Speaker 3: until this point. What have you guys seen that you
[42:35] Speaker 3: guys think I should check out for next time?
[42:38] Speaker 4: I don't. I wouldn't say you should check it out,
[42:40] Speaker 4: but uh, there was an anime I watched called what
[42:43] Speaker 4: Torikun's Star Star Star is about the collapse. It's one
[42:47] Speaker 4: of my top twenty like manga all time because like
[42:49] Speaker 4: I said, all the girls in it are crazy and
[42:50] Speaker 4: I kind of like crazy. But the anime so far
[42:55] Speaker 4: has been a little bit lackluster based on the first episode,
[42:57] Speaker 4: and I don't think a lot of people are liking it.
[42:59] Speaker 4: But uh, but I figured it was at least worth
[43:01] Speaker 4: mentioning because the mong is good.
[43:02] Speaker 3: I like it.
[43:04] Speaker 4: It's up there.
[43:05] Speaker 3: The new panteon Stocking looks fucking hilarious. But I need
[43:08] Speaker 3: to watch these one again or like, I don't think
[43:10] Speaker 3: I ever even finished season one.
[43:12] Speaker 2: It just but it was good, so I think we should.
[43:14] Speaker 3: Would you guys be down to watch some Panting Stocking
[43:17] Speaker 3: season one and talk about.
[43:19] Speaker 2: It next week?
[43:20] Speaker 4: No for spanning Stalking at some point? What do you
[43:23] Speaker 4: mean know I want to do it next week?
[43:25] Speaker 5: I mean, Briggs, we have to continue on with forcing
[43:30] Speaker 5: each others to watch random anime.
[43:32] Speaker 1: I got to continue Berserk, we got ship to do.
[43:36] Speaker 5: Okay, and we also got to watch so we also
[43:38] Speaker 5: have to watch Grand Blue the live action.
[43:41] Speaker 1: What I was thinking, I ain't got time for Panting
[43:43] Speaker 1: and Stock.
[43:44] Speaker 3: I was I was thinking about doing something different for
[43:46] Speaker 3: next week, where like, there's a lot of sequels I
[43:49] Speaker 3: want to watch, like the Bunny Girl SEMPI one and
[43:51] Speaker 3: The Vending.
[43:52] Speaker 5: Machine one, right, and listen, Why don't we just go
[43:55] Speaker 5: Why don't we just watch together on stream?
[43:57] Speaker 1: How about that?
[43:58] Speaker 2: Maybe not today? I have to I have to go
[44:00] Speaker 2: really soon, obviously not today, But yeah, I was just saying,
[44:04] Speaker 2: I was.
