[0:40] Speaker 1: There's Tuesday, June sixteenth, twenty twenty six, coming up and
[0:43] Speaker 1: Rolling Dreaming live on the Black Study Network on Network.
[0:47] Speaker 1: On this June teenth week, Donald Trump's erasist Justice Department
[0:51] Speaker 1: is challenging a Chicago area housing reparations program. Well, the
[0:55] Speaker 1: programs in Everston, Illinois will tell you all about that.
[0:58] Speaker 1: Republicans say they need more information about the agreement between
[1:01] Speaker 1: the United States and Iran, but even on Fox News
[1:04] Speaker 1: they're like, this deal is trash. Will examine a recent
[1:08] Speaker 1: poll that says nearly half of America's vote voters identify
[1:10] Speaker 1: as political independence other than members of either major party
[1:15] Speaker 1: on the view. They challenge J. D. Evans about Donald
[1:19] Speaker 1: Trump's blatant effort to erase black history from public spaces.
[1:23] Speaker 1: Of course he didned what was happening. Well, because he's
[1:25] Speaker 1: pretty much an idiot, twice, said Peach. Crimeinally convicted fella
[1:29] Speaker 1: and con man in chief is hit with another lawsuit
[1:31] Speaker 1: for as a tempt to alter the national Mall again.
[1:34] Speaker 1: This time he wants to build a national Garden of
[1:37] Speaker 1: American heroes. A white Illinois man is charged with a
[1:40] Speaker 1: hate crime for what he did to a nine year
[1:42] Speaker 1: old child, plus a black New York man says he's
[1:45] Speaker 1: suing after getting punch repeatedly doing a routine traffic stop.
[1:49] Speaker 1: And what the hell is Los Angeles neighbors complain about
[1:54] Speaker 1: hearing a woman's screaming she was actually cheering for the
[1:56] Speaker 1: Knicks Cops bust in and shoot her dog. What the hell?
[2:02] Speaker 1: And tonight shot Black Start Network dot com segment. Well, uh,
[2:05] Speaker 1: we'll talk to the look about Joy makeup brand that
[2:08] Speaker 1: sets the standard foreverless, flawless beauty. It's time to bringing
[2:11] Speaker 1: the funk. I'm rolling, but I'm filched the Black Sudden Network.
[2:14] Speaker 1: Let's go.
[2:15] Speaker 2: He's got whatever the miss he's sol it, whatever it is.
[2:20] Speaker 3: He's got school the fact fine and wa believes he's
[2:24] Speaker 3: right on time.
[2:25] Speaker 1: It is rolling.
[2:27] Speaker 2: Best believe he's going putting it out from.
[2:30] Speaker 3: His Boston news to politics, with entertainment, just books.
[2:34] Speaker 1: He's strolling.
[2:37] Speaker 4: It's rolling up.
[2:42] Speaker 3: It's rolling Montane, Yes, rolling with rolling.
[2:51] Speaker 2: He's spunk, he's stressed. She's real.
[2:53] Speaker 3: Good question, No, he's rolling, montee.
[3:24] Speaker 1: Well, Donald Trump's a racist. The Popular Justice of the
[3:27] Speaker 1: Civilighters Division is seeking to join an ongoing lawsuit against
[3:30] Speaker 1: the Everston, Illinois housing reparations programs saying it discriminates against
[3:35] Speaker 1: people who aren't black. The Local Reparations Restorative Housing Program
[3:40] Speaker 1: in Everston offers eligible black residents and their descendants twenty
[3:44] Speaker 1: five thousand cash payments or housing assists assistance. The program
[3:48] Speaker 1: is available to black individuals who lived in Everston as
[3:51] Speaker 1: adults between nineteen nineteen and nineteen sixty nine, as well
[3:54] Speaker 1: as their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Recipients of the
[3:58] Speaker 1: funds can you lie them for housing related expenses or
[4:01] Speaker 1: received direct cash payments. Federal officials argue that the program
[4:05] Speaker 1: unlawfully allocates public benefits based on race and ancestry. Now,
[4:10] Speaker 1: how many times have I said on this show that
[4:13] Speaker 1: any reparations program was going to be challenged in court?
[4:17] Speaker 1: And so for all his yahoos who support reparations, how
[4:21] Speaker 1: many times have we told y'all that elections matter? How
[4:24] Speaker 1: many times have we told y'all that federal judges matter?
[4:28] Speaker 1: Now y'all about to see why. And so a whole
[4:34] Speaker 1: bunch of these also folks who were touting Donald Trump
[4:37] Speaker 1: said he's gonna be good for black people. Where y'all
[4:40] Speaker 1: at mighty quiet? Not the mistaple for Santago lead, former
[4:45] Speaker 1: senior advisor for Environmental Justice. The EPA joins us from
[4:48] Speaker 1: DC Randy Bryant, entrepreneur, author, speaker and creator of The
[4:52] Speaker 1: Truth and Game. Also from DC, Bill Anderson, Creative the
[4:55] Speaker 1: Public Opinion, Public Opinion Court, and authors Shut Up and
[4:58] Speaker 1: Prosecuted from Dallas. Led have all three of y'all here.
[5:02] Speaker 1: I try to tell people repeatedly, Mustapha that you were
[5:08] Speaker 1: going to have legal challenges and now you're seeing this,
[5:12] Speaker 1: uh and this is it? Absolutely anti black administration shows
[5:17] Speaker 1: no shock if they would jump at the chance to
[5:20] Speaker 1: be evolved in this case.
[5:23] Speaker 5: Yeah, And that's why we continue to tell people your
[5:25] Speaker 5: vote is tied, of course to judges and judge ships,
[5:28] Speaker 5: making sure that they are individuals that are in those
[5:30] Speaker 5: positions that will honor both the law, of course, but
[5:34] Speaker 5: also the history of our country. You currently have an
[5:36] Speaker 5: administration that never wants to deal with both the past
[5:40] Speaker 5: and present impacts that are going on that are you know,
[5:44] Speaker 5: there's a racial construct to it, right. People have made
[5:47] Speaker 5: choices and our housing stock about where you could live.
[5:51] Speaker 5: Everybody knows about, you know, redlining and restrictive covenances and
[5:55] Speaker 5: pushing people into certain areas and then you know, disinvesting
[5:59] Speaker 5: in those areas, but also about not being able to
[6:01] Speaker 5: purchase homes because you couldn't get a loan. All of
[6:04] Speaker 5: this was built into policy. So once again we see
[6:07] Speaker 5: policy biting us. And that's why we've got to make
[6:11] Speaker 5: sure that you have administrations for a number of generations
[6:16] Speaker 5: in place to be able to make sure that we
[6:18] Speaker 5: begin to address both through policy, through the courts, and
[6:23] Speaker 5: of course also you know, on our financing systems that
[6:27] Speaker 5: understand what has happened in the past, the impacts that
[6:30] Speaker 5: have been there, and then of course being able to
[6:32] Speaker 5: move forward in a reparative paradigm. But this administration, of course,
[6:37] Speaker 5: has no interest in that whatsoever. They try and make
[6:40] Speaker 5: sound like you know, injustices discrimination never existed and that
[6:45] Speaker 5: folks are just asking for something. The only thing that
[6:47] Speaker 5: people are asking for is to be treated fairly and
[6:50] Speaker 5: to be able to fully participate in a system without
[6:54] Speaker 5: the biases getting into it. So when you don't understand
[6:57] Speaker 5: all of that, and when you tell people that you
[7:00] Speaker 5: don't need to vote or that you should vote for somebody,
[7:03] Speaker 5: especially in the housing context, who has a long history
[7:07] Speaker 5: of not respecting our community, then it says something about
[7:10] Speaker 5: how you feel about black folks, because we understand what's
[7:15] Speaker 5: going to transpire when we put these types of people
[7:17] Speaker 5: in place.
[7:19] Speaker 6: Randy, you know, I think I guess this administration has
[7:24] Speaker 6: forgotten that the Department of Justice is supposed to be neutral.
[7:27] Speaker 6: They're the ones that keep us all right and look
[7:31] Speaker 6: at things from a point of looking at what's right, and.
[7:35] Speaker 2: It's going to serve the people.
[7:36] Speaker 6: But Trump and his administration has used the Department of
[7:39] Speaker 6: Justice as a personal arm to completely push their motives,
[7:46] Speaker 6: their agenda, and their agenda, as you said, is to
[7:50] Speaker 6: be anti black. And so it's unfortunate because you know,
[7:53] Speaker 6: the Department of Justice was.
[7:54] Speaker 2: A place that we as black people used to be.
[7:56] Speaker 6: Able to look to to get some sort of satisfaction.
[8:00] Speaker 2: But we can't even look there anymore.
[8:02] Speaker 6: Because again, they have fired many people we're there for
[8:08] Speaker 6: the right reasons and brought into people who will hold
[8:11] Speaker 6: up what Trump wants them to hold up. And so
[8:13] Speaker 6: here we are with this administration who is very much
[8:17] Speaker 6: trying to act as if history is not fat, as
[8:22] Speaker 6: if black people were once not enslaved, as if there
[8:25] Speaker 6: were things like redlining is if we could not as
[8:28] Speaker 6: if we could get loans fairly, They would try to
[8:31] Speaker 6: act as if none of that existed and we have
[8:34] Speaker 6: all started out on a fair and equal plane, which
[8:38] Speaker 6: we all know that's not the truth. So when you
[8:40] Speaker 6: do that, when you try to erase history, as they
[8:42] Speaker 6: actively try to do, you know you can say, oh,
[8:45] Speaker 6: reparations are not needed, but we all know that that's
[8:48] Speaker 6: not the truth.
[8:49] Speaker 2: But that's what they're trying to do, and that's what
[8:51] Speaker 2: they have done so far.
[8:54] Speaker 1: Absolutely, So listen, this is going to always always happen,
[8:58] Speaker 1: so we need to understand and that. Let me do this.
[9:00] Speaker 1: Let me go to a break. I'll be right back
[9:02] Speaker 1: and rolling unfiltered on the Blackstart network.
[9:06] Speaker 7: I think he is. I think I'm picking up on
[9:08] Speaker 7: the other side.
[9:11] Speaker 1: Why am I hearing her? Folks? Let me tell you
[9:14] Speaker 1: about chat. We have a system that I paid for
[9:16] Speaker 1: about to be The system is not set up to
[9:19] Speaker 1: work for you. Too much fine print, too many plans,
[9:22] Speaker 1: and too many people making money off of your confusion.
[9:25] Speaker 1: And look, we're used to this. We're no strangers to
[9:27] Speaker 1: systems that don't have our best interest at heart, but
[9:30] Speaker 1: we don't have to accept it when it comes to medicare.
[9:33] Speaker 1: That's why I'm telling you about Chapter. Their advisors are
[9:37] Speaker 1: independent and honest. In fact, they're the only Medicare advisors
[9:42] Speaker 1: that compare every plan nationwide, and they're focused on one thing,
[9:48] Speaker 1: what works for you. If there's a better plan out there,
[9:53] Speaker 1: they'll find it. If you're already in the right one,
[9:56] Speaker 1: they'll tell you that too. There are no games. Just
[9:59] Speaker 1: last year, people who switched with Chapter saved an average
[10:03] Speaker 1: up eleven hundred dollars. It's twenty minutes and a real person.
[10:07] Speaker 1: It's completely free. My parents actually have already called Mom
[10:11] Speaker 1: sent me a text. Folks, give Chapter a call at
[10:15] Speaker 1: seven two four two sixty four eight two eight one.
[10:17] Speaker 1: Seven two four two sixty four eight two eight one
[10:20] Speaker 1: and connect with someone you can trust. Folks, these are
[10:24] Speaker 1: the kind of services that we need for our audience
[10:27] Speaker 1: here at Roland Martin onn Filcher and the Blackstar Network.
[10:30] Speaker 1: So call Chapter right now seven two four two sixty
[10:33] Speaker 1: four eight to eight one.
[10:37] Speaker 8: With medicine and science under attack, I want to keep
[10:40] Speaker 8: you and your family informed and healthy. I'm doctor Ebity Hilton,
[10:44] Speaker 8: and I knew at the age of.
[10:45] Speaker 7: Eight that I wanted to be a doctor.

[10:50] Speaker 8: female and a sociologist hired at the Medical University of
[10:53] Speaker 8: South Carolina since it's opening in eighteen twenty four. And
[10:57] Speaker 8: I always say I was made into a doctor. I
[11:00] Speaker 8: was born to be a mom, and as a new mom, wife's, sister, daughter,
[11:04] Speaker 8: and friend, I understand how frightening and medical crisis can be.
[11:08] Speaker 8: I care for individuals on some of the worst days
[11:11] Speaker 8: of their lives and is my mission to provide you
[11:14] Speaker 8: with a safe space and gain clarity on issues affecting
[11:16] Speaker 8: your mind and body. So I recognize that there are
[11:20] Speaker 8: health disparities, particularly as it pertains to race, and I
[11:24] Speaker 8: want to help bridge the guy between you and lead
[11:26] Speaker 8: a healthcare providers.

[11:36] Speaker 9: We'll discuss topics such as the vaccine debate, mental and

[11:41] Speaker 8: Bias, infertility, menopause, andrew pause, nutrition and aging. Together with
[11:47] Speaker 8: my medical colleagues, we aim to provide you with a
[11:50] Speaker 8: Second Opinion. Don't miss it Thursdays only on the black
[11:54] Speaker 8: Star Network.
[12:01] Speaker 10: So this is Roger bon I got a message for
[12:03] Speaker 10: Rolling mascot Oh, I'm sorry, Ascott Martin. Buddy, you're supposed
[12:09] Speaker 10: to be hooking me up with some of these mascots.
[12:11] Speaker 10: I'm sorry ascots that you claim to wear. Where's mind buddy?
[12:14] Speaker 1: Now? Yo, peace world. What's going on is the left
[12:15] Speaker 1: King of barb hyle Heem Devon and you're watching Roland
[12:18] Speaker 1: Martin unfiltered. All right, So Donald Trump has been touting
[12:27] Speaker 1: this Iran deal which nobody has seen. And don't you
[12:32] Speaker 1: remember when they were trashing President Obama saying how dare
[12:37] Speaker 1: he returned one point eight billion dollars that was Irong's
[12:43] Speaker 1: money to them? And in this Trump deal, they're talking
[12:47] Speaker 1: about giving Iran three hundred billion, three hundred billion dollars.
[12:54] Speaker 1: Now you know it's an awful deal. When all of
[12:58] Speaker 1: the right wingers on Fox knew O hate it. Listen
[13:03] Speaker 1: to this show.
[13:05] Speaker 11: One name is real. There's a three hundred billion dollar
[13:08] Speaker 11: investment fund. Who cares where the money comes from? If
[13:11] Speaker 11: it doesn't come from the United States. I get that,
[13:13] Speaker 11: of course it shouldn't, but it shouldn't come from anybody.
[13:15] Speaker 11: I mean, when we recovered Germany and Japan, the Nazis
[13:19] Speaker 11: weren't in charge. The Japanese imperials weren't in charge here.
[13:24] Speaker 11: The Runnians in charge. The killers and thugs are still
[13:26] Speaker 11: in charge. We don't give them that money because what
[13:29] Speaker 11: are they going to do with it? They're going to
[13:31] Speaker 11: recover everything we've taken away from them. Who cares whether
[13:34] Speaker 11: it's coming from the arrows, from the guitaris or whatever.
[13:37] Speaker 1: They don't get it.
[13:38] Speaker 11: They shouldn't get any of it. That's just the reality
[13:40] Speaker 11: of to take that money and recover everything. And you
[13:43] Speaker 11: know that, Sean, You know that you can't trust these people.
[13:46] Speaker 12: I don't trust the Ranians. I'm gon trust for Verify guy.
[13:49] Speaker 12: But I heard the vice president say they don't get
[13:52] Speaker 12: anything unless they do those things. They get nothing until
[13:54] Speaker 12: they do something.
[13:55] Speaker 1: It's not our money.
[13:57] Speaker 12: And they never signed off, he said, on any deal
[14:00] Speaker 12: for Qatar to give them a penny. Now, he said
[14:04] Speaker 12: they would open the door if Arab countries want to
[14:06] Speaker 12: invest down the road. But that's if they start fulfilling
[14:09] Speaker 12: the promises that they're talking about having committed to Listen, you.
[14:13] Speaker 1: Know what, Jim, Sean Hanny gonna sit here and kiss
[14:17] Speaker 1: so much Trump ass it's ridiculous and he don't want
[14:21] Speaker 1: to sit here and truly truly deal with this issue.
[14:26] Speaker 1: But I'm just I'm telling y'all, Uh, it had me
[14:29] Speaker 1: cracking up laughing listening to these various folks sit here.
[14:35] Speaker 1: And not only that, here was a Fosse correspondent atmitting
[14:42] Speaker 1: that you know what Donald Trump really was lying when
[14:45] Speaker 1: he told the Barican people that we just totally destroyed
[14:48] Speaker 1: the around military.
[14:49] Speaker 13: Listen you here at the president says. She says, their
[14:52] Speaker 13: navy is at the bottom of the water. The air
[14:55] Speaker 13: force is done, They've been degraded in missiles. However, we
[14:58] Speaker 13: see ironi missiles fire at US bases and fire at ships.
[15:03] Speaker 13: They're saying that the Strait's going to be opened completely.
[15:06] Speaker 13: Iran says something differently, and how they talk about it.
[15:09] Speaker 14: Yeah, they're talking about still controlling the straight And so
[15:12] Speaker 14: the question I think the President may be discussing with
[15:15] Speaker 14: our G seven partners is whether we can independently control
[15:19] Speaker 14: the Strait ourselves going forward, so that Iran cannot in
[15:23] Speaker 14: the future extort us Anthony.
[15:25] Speaker 1: So, Hugh, it gets bet. I got to play a
[15:28] Speaker 1: couple of more clips. I'm telling y'all, it's hilarious listening
[15:32] Speaker 1: to these people. Listen. Is this one?
[15:34] Speaker 15: Yes, President Trump announcing the US and Iran struck a
[15:38] Speaker 15: historic pcedo yesterday.
[15:40] Speaker 1: And aimed at ending the month's long conflict.
[15:42] Speaker 15: The President revealing the US will lift its blockade on
[15:46] Speaker 15: Iranian ports as soon as the agreement is signed, and
[15:49] Speaker 15: that could happen, we are told, as soon as Friday.
[15:51] Speaker 6: And General Jack King last hour weighing in on what
[15:54] Speaker 6: comes next, including what we could expect with further nuclear negotiations.
[16:00] Speaker 11: Let's just assume the cease fire and the Straits removes
[16:02] Speaker 11: work as described, and obviously we'll do well. We'll comply
[16:06] Speaker 11: with the naval blockade, but the tough things are ahead
[16:10] Speaker 11: of us, all of the issues surrounding nuclear ballistic missile
[16:15] Speaker 11: restrictions in terms of range, lethality and volume to be sure,
[16:20] Speaker 11: and support for proxies.
[16:24] Speaker 1: Yeah, so they're announcing a deal, but they haven't negotiated
[16:29] Speaker 1: the major stuff in the deal. Jessica Tarlov was jamming
[16:36] Speaker 1: up jd Vance when he appeared on the Five, trying
[16:40] Speaker 1: to explain this nonsense, and this got even more hilarious.
[16:44] Speaker 1: Let me here we go go is this straight open
[16:46] Speaker 1: throughout the summer?
[16:47] Speaker 13: So I think what Jessica really wants to say is
[16:50] Speaker 13: thank you, Jessica, do you want to say thank you?
[16:53] Speaker 16: Thank you for being here. Very very cool to have
[16:58] Speaker 16: you with us, especially when we're discussing this topic that
[17:00] Speaker 16: you're running point on. And I'm a little uncomfortable about
[17:04] Speaker 16: what I'm about to do, but I've been amp and
[17:06] Speaker 16: myself up all day, So no, Pop, they're already here,
[17:11] Speaker 16: like fifty of you. You know, there's been leaked versions
[17:17] Speaker 16: of this MoU, not just in the Iranian press and
[17:19] Speaker 16: the Saudi press, the Pakistani press, the American press has
[17:22] Speaker 16: gotten their hands on some details as well. You know,
[17:24] Speaker 16: the Wall Street Journal has it that Iran can immediately
[17:27] Speaker 16: sell oil and that they're going to get some sanctions
[17:30] Speaker 16: relief right off the bat. That was something that we
[17:33] Speaker 16: heard was not going to happen. So they have an
[17:34] Speaker 16: incentive to get this going by Friday, and there's gonna
[17:36] Speaker 16: be money changing hands in the copies of the MoU
[17:39] Speaker 16: that we've seen again leaked. We have this three hundred
[17:42] Speaker 16: billion dollar fund, and I saw you last night, you
[17:44] Speaker 16: were with Sean talking about it. He said, well, it's
[17:46] Speaker 16: not our money, it's you know, Gulf Nation money, our
[17:50] Speaker 16: partner's money. But that's still a three hundred billion dollar payday,
[17:53] Speaker 16: and that's something that they desperately want to have the
[17:56] Speaker 16: punting on the nuclear program for the sixty day negotiation.
[18:00] Speaker 16: So that's the real tough stuff of this, right, Like,
[18:02] Speaker 16: that's the meat of what we really need to get done.
[18:04] Speaker 16: And you say the JCPOA, you know, didn't have anything
[18:07] Speaker 16: about that. It's in the preamble of the JCPOA that
[18:10] Speaker 16: Iran will cease all efforts to have a nuclear weapon
[18:13] Speaker 16: and enrichment will be held at about three percent.
[18:15] Speaker 1: Well, they cannot they can't get the dust, Jessica.
[18:18] Speaker 16: Also, if Barack Obama never buried it, Well, the vice
[18:23] Speaker 16: president is here, don't interrupt me, and then it will
[18:25] Speaker 16: be over really fast.
[18:27] Speaker 1: I wasn't interrupting him. I was interrupting. We all know
[18:30] Speaker 1: that that jesse is an idiot. He has no business
[18:33] Speaker 1: even having a substantive conversation. But let's just cut to
[18:36] Speaker 1: the chase. Donald Trump is an idiot and he got played.
[18:41] Speaker 1: He is so stupid as such a horrible negotiator. What
[18:45] Speaker 1: he did not understand was aran controlled the most important thing.
[18:51] Speaker 1: The Strait of Horror moves all of those.
[18:56] Speaker 17: These world powers, all of their resources, and not this oil,
[19:01] Speaker 17: but also other ships got to go through the strait
[19:03] Speaker 17: of horror Boes. So the reason previous presidents didn't kiss
[19:09] Speaker 17: the ass of netting Yahoo and attack Iran, it's because
[19:14] Speaker 17: they understood it was a broader issue. But Donald Trump
[19:18] Speaker 17: is so stupid and it's such an idiot that we've
[19:21] Speaker 17: spent upp was of thirty billion dollars on a war
[19:25] Speaker 17: and now we're waving the white flag and we're now
[19:28] Speaker 17: going to give Iran far more than what was negotiated
[19:32] Speaker 17: under Obama, and Donald Trump has made it worse.
[19:37] Speaker 1: Yeah, the Art of the Deal. No, this is called
[19:43] Speaker 1: the Art of the stupid deal led by an idiot negotiator.
[19:50] Speaker 1: That's no other way to put this.
[19:51] Speaker 2: Randy, you know, you talk about the book The Art
[19:55] Speaker 2: of the Deal. I was thinking about the book The
[19:57] Speaker 2: Art of War.
[19:58] Speaker 6: And the first thing they made, the first tenante for
[20:01] Speaker 6: war is to know your enemy. But Trump and his croonies,
[20:06] Speaker 6: he said in them, they have this idea, this white
[20:11] Speaker 6: male heroism, that they're going to go down and just
[20:15] Speaker 6: take whatever they want to take. They did not realize
[20:19] Speaker 6: who the enemy was and what they had in their control.
[20:23] Speaker 6: So they lost the deal. And here we are in
[20:27] Speaker 6: a worse position than we were before. Also, what Trump
[20:32] Speaker 6: has suffered from is a complete obsession with president former
[20:37] Speaker 6: president Obama and destroying anything that he did, even if
[20:42] Speaker 6: it was.
[20:42] Speaker 2: Good for our country.
[20:44] Speaker 6: So here we had a good deal and this idiot
[20:48] Speaker 6: goes in and it has made things better.
[20:52] Speaker 2: For our enemy.
[20:54] Speaker 6: So he is an absolute idiot that is run and
[20:58] Speaker 6: fueled by jealousy and by ego.
[21:02] Speaker 1: You would think that if you have a deal, you
[21:05] Speaker 1: would share it with congressional leaders like Republican Senate Majority
[21:11] Speaker 1: Leader John Thune. Well, the answer is no, we're trying to.
[21:18] Speaker 2: Be read by the administration on us in the opposite.
[21:22] Speaker 6: Deal, on and on and Rougner standpoint, Have any of
[21:26] Speaker 6: the objectives that have been laid out started with sport
[21:29] Speaker 6: by the administrations?
[21:30] Speaker 16: Did that?
[21:31] Speaker 1: Well?
[21:31] Speaker 18: I think that the for sure my view, a lot
[21:34] Speaker 18: of the objectives have been achieved completely I would say eliminated,
[21:40] Speaker 18: but certainly diminished in any way. Their nuclear capability, it's
[21:46] Speaker 18: very deep underground now. And obviously when it comes to
[21:50] Speaker 18: their navy, we've destroyed I think the numbers one hundred
[21:52] Speaker 18: and sixty one ships. When it comes to their air defenses,
[21:56] Speaker 18: if you look at their capabilities ballistic missiles, productuction facilities,
[22:00] Speaker 18: all those sorts of things have I mean, we have
[22:05] Speaker 18: done great damage, I would say, to a rand's ability
[22:09] Speaker 18: to inflict herror and kill people in that region around
[22:13] Speaker 18: the world. So yeah, I think they've achieved a lot
[22:16] Speaker 18: of their military objectives. And the question now is whether
[22:18] Speaker 18: or not the Iranians want to come to the table
[22:20] Speaker 18: and be, you know, participate in a in a Middle
[22:25] Speaker 18: East that actually allows for.
[22:29] Speaker 5: An economy, a.
[22:32] Speaker 18: Secure place for people to do business. And we're going
[22:34] Speaker 18: to find that out soon enough, I think.
[22:35] Speaker 19: And as numbers of the game, if you've agreed John
[22:38] Speaker 19: Weston and random I don't think.
[22:41] Speaker 18: I certainly have not yet, although we are requesting that,
[22:45] Speaker 18: and I assume we will at some point here from
[22:48] Speaker 18: the administration with greater specificity about what's in that memorandum.
[22:53] Speaker 18: I mean, we're all hearing in generalities what's been reported
[22:55] Speaker 18: so far. But until I get more specific information, I'm
[22:59] Speaker 18: going to hesitat.
[23:01] Speaker 1: With greater specificity filma that means you don't know a
[23:06] Speaker 1: damn thing.
[23:09] Speaker 20: You know this instead of the art of the deal,
[23:12] Speaker 20: this is art of stupidity, because what we are seeing
[23:16] Speaker 20: on a worldwide scale is when you hang around individuals
[23:24] Speaker 20: like Trump, who's dumb.
[23:25] Speaker 7: Trump is fundamentally dumb.
[23:27] Speaker 20: And I wish people would stop making excuses for his
[23:32] Speaker 20: lack of not only intellect, his lack of intelligence, his
[23:37] Speaker 20: lack of everything, because what Iran did was they took
[23:42] Speaker 20: advantage of him, and he don't like it. He can't
[23:45] Speaker 20: take it because they set back. They were minding their
[23:48] Speaker 20: business kind of you know, like how black people be
[23:50] Speaker 20: minding our business. They were minding their business. They were,
[23:54] Speaker 20: you know, on course to maintain the peace in this world.
[23:58] Speaker 20: And Trump did what every white man do, go messing
[24:03] Speaker 20: with people. And when you mess with the wrong one,
[24:06] Speaker 20: you gonna find out. And not only that, when you
[24:10] Speaker 20: have senators and representatives that are voted in by their
[24:15] Speaker 20: people and you are coming and you are feeding into
[24:18] Speaker 20: the lies. They have fed into the lines so much
[24:21] Speaker 20: now that we only trust hearing about updates.
[24:24] Speaker 7: From our Ran. We don't even trust hearing it.
[24:27] Speaker 20: From America because one they are bought and paid for, they're.
[24:31] Speaker 7: Going to spread the narrative that he wants.
[24:33] Speaker 20: So we have to rely on Iran to tell us
[24:35] Speaker 20: the truth about our country.
[24:37] Speaker 7: That's when you know you be lost.
[24:39] Speaker 20: We are the laughing stock of the world because we
[24:43] Speaker 20: got the biggest joke to ever be in office, whether
[24:47] Speaker 20: he wants legitimately or he used SpaceX to go and
[24:51] Speaker 20: manipulate the manipulate the things up.
[24:55] Speaker 7: There in the sky that they don't want to talk about.
[24:57] Speaker 20: So I am over them and they are playing in
[25:00] Speaker 20: our face about if there's a deal, there's not. I'm
[25:04] Speaker 20: just done, Like, can we put them on the island
[25:06] Speaker 20: by theyself and they can feed and fast and do
[25:08] Speaker 20: all the things that they do behind closed doors that's
[25:11] Speaker 20: now coming.
[25:11] Speaker 1: Out, but stop for this is how dumb Trump is
[25:14] Speaker 1: listened to this.
[25:18] Speaker 21: Land.
[25:18] Speaker 22: They were being shot at just about as much as anybody,
[25:22] Speaker 22: but you were a lot closer.
[25:23] Speaker 5: As you were right there.
[25:24] Speaker 23: Literally I could walk in at every every other place.
[25:29] Speaker 5: They have to take a plane, but they can walk.
[25:32] Speaker 3: So they were really under line.
[25:35] Speaker 1: Just what, just be clear. Donald Trump said that he
[25:37] Speaker 1: could walk from Iran to Cutter. No, y'all would all
[25:50] Speaker 1: would have to take a plane. But you know, no,
[25:55] Speaker 1: I could easily just I could easily just walk. Oh
[26:00] Speaker 1: you can't just walk from Iran to Cutter because there's.
[26:06] Speaker 24: A big ass ocean of water, y'all, y'all see this
[26:13] Speaker 24: right here, that's Iran.
[26:17] Speaker 1: See what says Iran.
[26:19] Speaker 25: She says, cutter, you gotta walk across a big ass ocean.
[26:23] Speaker 1: Mustafa, God has got this. Dude is so stupid.
[26:29] Speaker 26: Well I'm not gonna argue with the stupid part, but
[26:32] Speaker 26: you know, he also has a godlike complex, so maybe
[26:36] Speaker 26: he thinks he has the ability to actually walk on water,
[26:39] Speaker 26: which would actually be a whole lot of steps to
[26:42] Speaker 26: get across there.
[26:42] Speaker 5: I mean, you know, we joke a little bit about this,
[26:45] Speaker 5: but there's so much seriousness here, right, because American soldiers
[26:49] Speaker 5: have lost their lives, because American folks have had to
[26:53] Speaker 5: pay the price for this war in all kinds of
[26:57] Speaker 5: ways that we often talk about, everything from the price
[26:59] Speaker 5: of ask your food to a number of other things.
[27:03] Speaker 5: The other part of this is that it has shown
[27:05] Speaker 5: the disrespect for the system.
[27:07] Speaker 1: Right.
[27:08] Speaker 5: So I remember when the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.
[27:14] Speaker 5: People call it the Obama Iran Plan, but they don't
[27:17] Speaker 5: understand evidently that all the work that went into that, Right,
[27:21] Speaker 5: So we talked about, you know, we just saw the
[27:23] Speaker 5: senator who was there when the previous plan was actually
[27:27] Speaker 5: being put together. There were briefings and folks who needed
[27:31] Speaker 5: to know on Capitol Hill were a part of that.
[27:33] Speaker 5: Then we also know that both the United Kingdom, Germany,
[27:37] Speaker 5: the EU, and China and Russia were a part of
[27:43] Speaker 5: that plan. So now you see Trump over the G
[27:47] Speaker 5: seven actually trying to convince people to come on board
[27:51] Speaker 5: when you have to do the work before. So all
[27:54] Speaker 5: of that is necessary if you plan on having any
[27:56] Speaker 5: type of success. If anybody can ever say that war isccesful,
[28:00] Speaker 5: because there are always huge losses when you have war,
[28:05] Speaker 5: but this individual is not interested in that, because this
[28:08] Speaker 5: individual is not interested in actually running our country in
[28:11] Speaker 5: a way that helps to keep us safe, that helps
[28:14] Speaker 5: to keep us prosperous, but also helps us to continue
[28:18] Speaker 5: to have a presence across the world where people have
[28:21] Speaker 5: some level of respect for us, which is now completely gone.
[28:25] Speaker 5: And he finds himself in a situation where there is
[28:29] Speaker 5: a midterm coming, so he is scrambling trying to figure
[28:32] Speaker 5: out how to get out of this quagmire that he's
[28:35] Speaker 5: gotten the country into. And he also knows that there
[28:39] Speaker 5: are a number of others who are now saying that
[28:41] Speaker 5: I can't trust the United States, which places both our
[28:45] Speaker 5: foreign policy and our financial policy in a very precarious situation.
[28:52] Speaker 5: So yes, he's not the brightest. Yes he is terrible
[28:56] Speaker 5: at foreign policy. Yes he is damaging to our me,
[29:00] Speaker 5: but he has also made it so that folks can't
[29:03] Speaker 5: trust us. And if people can't trust you, they are
[29:05] Speaker 5: never going to show up for you because they know
[29:07] Speaker 5: you won't show up for them.
[29:09] Speaker 1: They also can't trust when you are dumb. That is
[29:16] Speaker 1: Donald Trump. All right, y'all going to break, we come back. JD.
[29:20] Speaker 1: Advance goes on the View to promote his faith book
[29:23] Speaker 1: Let's just say Kennon whoop ask gott opened against him
[29:27] Speaker 1: when it came to the anti black policies of Donald Trump.
[29:31] Speaker 1: We will show you that exchange right here on Roland

[30:07] Speaker 1: All right, folks, let me tell you about Chapter.
[30:09] Speaker 2: Now.
[30:09] Speaker 1: If you're in Medicare or about to be, the system
[30:13] Speaker 1: is not set up to work for you. Too much
[30:15] Speaker 1: fine print, too many plans, and too many people making
[30:17] Speaker 1: money off of your confusion. And look, we're used to this.
[30:20] Speaker 1: We're no strangers to systems that don't have our best
[30:23] Speaker 1: interest at heart. But we don't have to accept it
[30:26] Speaker 1: when it comes to Medicare. That's why I'm telling you
[30:28] Speaker 1: about Chapter. Their advisors are independent and honest. In fact,
[30:34] Speaker 1: they're the only Medicare advisors that compare every plan nationwide,
[30:40] Speaker 1: and they're focused on one thing, what works for you.
[30:45] Speaker 1: If there's a better plan out there, they'll find it.
[30:48] Speaker 1: If you're already in the right one, they'll tell you
[30:51] Speaker 1: that too. There are no games. Just last year, people
[30:54] Speaker 1: who switched with Chapter saved an average up eleven hundred dollars.
[30:59] Speaker 1: It's twenty minutes and a real person. It's completely free.
[31:03] Speaker 1: My parents actually have already called Mom, will sent me
[31:06] Speaker 1: a text. Folks, give Chapter a call at seven two
[31:09] Speaker 1: four two sixty four eight two eight one seven two
[31:12] Speaker 1: four two sixty four eight two eight one and connect
[31:15] Speaker 1: with someone you can trust, folks. These are the kind
[31:18] Speaker 1: of services that we need for our audience here at
[31:22] Speaker 1: Roland Martin Unfiltered and the Blackstar Network so called Chapter
[31:25] Speaker 1: right Now seven two four two sixty four eight two
[31:28] Speaker 1: eight one.
[31:31] Speaker 19: Hi, I'm Joe Marie Payton, Boys and Sugar Mama on
[31:34] Speaker 19: Disney's Louder and Prouder Disney Plus.
[31:37] Speaker 2: And I'm with Roland.
[31:38] Speaker 1: Martin on I'm Filtered boy. And that was a tense
[31:46] Speaker 1: exchange on the view. When JD. Vance appeared proponing his
[31:50] Speaker 1: faith book, which is also a joke will Begoldberg questioned
[31:54] Speaker 1: him on how his faith impacts his political views and
[31:56] Speaker 1: responding to the critics of the administration's policy toward black folks,
[32:00] Speaker 1: and then sunny hostin of course and also jam him up.
[32:05] Speaker 1: Let's just say he also ain't to bright his bub
[32:09] Speaker 1: in the dark room.
[32:12] Speaker 27: You come from a poor community, sure you know how
[32:16] Speaker 27: hard it has been for people.
[32:18] Speaker 1: Two things.
[32:19] Speaker 27: You talk a lot about your Catholic faith, But the
[32:23] Speaker 27: Catholic faith says we take in immigrants, we take in
[32:29] Speaker 27: people who don't have or who are having a hard time.
[32:33] Speaker 27: Why did how do you justify both things.
[32:37] Speaker 28: So let me say first couple of things.
[32:38] Speaker 29: Whoop be so so.
[32:39] Speaker 28: Number one, the book is actually way less political than
[32:43] Speaker 28: you might think if you were just watching this, because
[32:45] Speaker 28: obviously we're getting into the issues of the day. Ninety
[32:47] Speaker 28: five percent of the book is really not about politics.
[32:50] Speaker 28: You know, I kind of have to write about politics
[32:51] Speaker 28: as I'm the vice president. But I want to answer
[32:53] Speaker 28: your question so so fundamentally, if you think about what
[32:56] Speaker 28: is immigration enforcement, immigration is is law enforcement. It's somebody
[33:00] Speaker 28: who has broken a law. A law enforcement officer has
[33:03] Speaker 28: to show up and enforce that law. Now, inherently, sometimes
[33:06] Speaker 28: that process is not always going to be pretty if
[33:09] Speaker 28: you capture a video clip of it. In the same
[33:11] Speaker 28: way that if you arrest somebody for committing a violent
[33:15] Speaker 28: or a nonviolent crime, sometimes it's not always pretty. What
[33:17] Speaker 28: I'm saying is the Catholic faith is actually very I
[33:22] Speaker 28: think it strikes the right balance here.
[33:23] Speaker 1: It says the Christian faith.
[33:25] Speaker 28: I think this is true of Protestants and Catholics, that
[33:27] Speaker 28: you can have borders.
[33:29] Speaker 1: You're allowed to enforce your borders.
[33:30] Speaker 28: That means the law enforcement piece of it, but you
[33:33] Speaker 28: also have to take certain precautions and certain care. Okay,
[33:36] Speaker 28: And again, you know your argument is fundamentally whoopee.
[33:39] Speaker 1: You're saying that we don't strike the right balance.
[33:41] Speaker 28: I disagree with you about how we apply that, but
[33:43] Speaker 28: nobody hopefully is saying we're not allowed to have a border.
[33:46] Speaker 28: What I'm saying is that in order for us to
[33:49] Speaker 28: actually enforce the law, you can't set a standard that
[33:52] Speaker 28: says you're not allowed to deport anyone unless they've committed
[33:56] Speaker 28: a violent crime. You've got to enforced the law equally.
[34:00] Speaker 27: Follow up, follow up, because you're talking you, we're talking
[34:04] Speaker 27: about people.
[34:06] Speaker 1: What did black people.
[34:07] Speaker 27: Do to this administration that has allowed it to really
[34:16] Speaker 27: stigmatize folks of color? And you know how hard it
[34:20] Speaker 27: is you have you have folks of color in your family.
[34:24] Speaker 27: So when you see, you know, things the emmatil stuff
[34:30] Speaker 27: coming down, or them doing all kinds of removal of
[34:34] Speaker 27: information of black heroes, how do you how do you?
[34:40] Speaker 1: How does that sit with you? Well?
[34:42] Speaker 28: What do you what exactly are you talking about? Because
[34:45] Speaker 28: you're talking.
[34:45] Speaker 1: About it, I can tell you you don't know what
[34:50] Speaker 1: it's talking about.
[34:52] Speaker 27: So in a lot of the museums, just there's so
[34:59] Speaker 27: many I just you know where they're taking down the
[35:03] Speaker 27: actual history that happened in this country.
[35:06] Speaker 1: Slavery happened, all kinds of.
[35:09] Speaker 27: Stuff happened, and it seems that it has been very
[35:13] Speaker 27: easy for this administration to remove that and also to denigrate.
[35:21] Speaker 1: Black folks who have.
[35:22] Speaker 27: Worked their behinds off to get this American dream.
[35:27] Speaker 1: How do you I mean, you know.
[35:29] Speaker 28: Man, I mean, so you know, Sonny, that was actually
[35:35] Speaker 28: very helpful intervention because I think the story you're talking
[35:37] Speaker 28: about is where you know, allegedly the administration is holding
[35:41] Speaker 28: back the appointments of people based on skin color.
[35:44] Speaker 1: Right, So that's a host of things.
[35:45] Speaker 30: I'm talking about, Black history getting erased from public spaces.
[35:48] Speaker 30: Black voter districts are being dismantled, Black leaders are being
[35:51] Speaker 30: sidelined from our ranks. Where do Americans of color fit
[35:56] Speaker 30: in this vision, because it doesn't seem like we fit I.
[35:59] Speaker 7: Think sunny my view.
[36:02] Speaker 19: I mean, since October of last year, there's been something
[36:06] Speaker 19: like six thousand, six hundred and sixty eight refugees allowed
[36:09] Speaker 19: into the country. All but three were white South Africans.
[36:15] Speaker 28: So, first of all, I'm very I'm very skeptical of
[36:18] Speaker 28: that number because we have a lot of different immigration
[36:20] Speaker 28: pathways in the United States of America.
[36:21] Speaker 1: But let me let me just address Whoope's point.
[36:23] Speaker 28: Look, first of all, you asked the question, and maybe
[36:26] Speaker 28: you don't believe this coming from me, but I think
[36:28] Speaker 28: everybody is welcome in our political coalition. Frankly, even if
[36:31] Speaker 28: you didn't vote for us, everybody is welcome in our
[36:34] Speaker 28: country so long as you're an American citizen with the
[36:36] Speaker 28: duties and the legal obligations and rights to be here.
[36:39] Speaker 28: But but well, let me just give you an example of yes, Okay,
[36:41] Speaker 28: so you say that we're anti minority or.
[36:43] Speaker 1: Anti I didn't say that.
[36:44] Speaker 27: I asked, okay, okay, fine, be fair, fair, don't start
[36:48] Speaker 27: this stuff, all right, an, but.
[36:56] Speaker 1: I misinterpreted your question. But let me let me answer
[36:58] Speaker 1: your actual question.
[36:59] Speaker 28: There what I'm saying, I think, Okay, look at Washington,
[37:03] Speaker 28: d C, one of the most democratic and one of
[37:06] Speaker 28: the blackest by share population blackest cities in the United
[37:09] Speaker 28: States of America, has seen a radical decrease in violent
[37:13] Speaker 28: crimes and sexual assaults and in murders. We have tried
[37:16] Speaker 28: to take the crime issue seriously in part because we
[37:20] Speaker 28: believe everybody, whether you're black or white, or rich or poor,
[37:23] Speaker 28: deserves to live in a safe neighborhood.
[37:25] Speaker 1: Why why is a crime?
[37:26] Speaker 27: Where does a crime step in? I'm this is not
[37:29] Speaker 27: about this is.
[37:30] Speaker 1: About lost their jobs. This is about this is.
[37:33] Speaker 28: About you're What you're saying is we got to do
[37:38] Speaker 28: more on the economy.
[37:39] Speaker 1: History race from black history is not when we get that.
[37:46] Speaker 28: Very I'm telling you, we celebrate black history. We celebrate
[37:50] Speaker 28: all American history in this administration.
[37:52] Speaker 1: You guys might be, but I proviously, y'all, he is
[38:12] Speaker 1: a fucking liar, a liar all this week over the weekend,
[38:21] Speaker 1: what if has been talking about? Good by iPad Pete
[38:23] Speaker 1: hack Seth removed a portrait of General Chappie James from
[38:30] Speaker 1: the Air Force Art Gallery. Yeah, one of the most
[38:36] Speaker 1: decorated members of the United States military. They took down
[38:42] Speaker 1: the slaver information from the exhibit in Philadelphia and it
[38:47] Speaker 1: said Philadelphia have to sue to get it put back up.
[38:52] Speaker 1: They removed information from the websites regarding MegaR Evers, Jackie Robinson,
[38:59] Speaker 1: women vet In fact, they canceled the initiative every year,
[39:04] Speaker 1: the program where they laid a wreath for women veterans.
[39:10] Speaker 1: They stopped doing it. They stopped doing it. These racists
[39:18] Speaker 1: are so pathetic that when under Biden, when they rename
[39:24] Speaker 1: the various basis, like Fort Polk in Louisiana, which was
[39:34] Speaker 1: named after a Confederate general, they named it for an
[39:45] Speaker 1: African American who was the first American hero in World
[39:49] Speaker 1: War One. It was renamed in twenty twenty three Henry Johnson,
[39:55] Speaker 1: Sergeant Henry Johnson. What did these races do? He except
[40:01] Speaker 1: they came in and it was like, okay, all right,
[40:04] Speaker 1: shaw uh, we're not gonna rename it. We're not gonna
[40:09] Speaker 1: put the old names up. So what we're gonna do
[40:12] Speaker 1: is we're gonna go through the military books and find
[40:15] Speaker 1: somebody with the same last name and put their name
[40:20] Speaker 1: on it. So Fort Polk it's no longer named after
[40:29] Speaker 1: the Confederate general. They went and found some four star
[40:33] Speaker 1: general named last name Polk and took the black man's
[40:37] Speaker 1: name off. Now this this dude who is now named
[40:40] Speaker 1: after Okay, he was four star general. He was no
[40:43] Speaker 1: war hero. He didn't win the president, he did not
[40:48] Speaker 1: win the Medal of Honor. Herry Johnson did his names.
[40:54] Speaker 1: His name was on the on the place for two years.
[40:57] Speaker 1: They took it down. I mean, we can go on
[41:00] Speaker 1: and on and on about all the anti black stuff
[41:04] Speaker 1: they've done and jad events I don't do. And see
[41:08] Speaker 1: this is where I'm sorry, This is where the view
[41:10] Speaker 1: they should have had it line by line, and you
[41:13] Speaker 1: see this is why, y'all you can't speak in general terms. No,
[41:18] Speaker 1: you got to hit them with this this this federal
[41:22] Speaker 1: judge restored it. Y'all made massive cuts to funding for
[41:26] Speaker 1: black maternal health and black women die at rage three
[41:29] Speaker 1: and a half times faster than that of white women,
[41:31] Speaker 1: cuts to sick of cell anemia, cuts to other programmed See,
[41:35] Speaker 1: you gotta go line by line, you gotta hit his
[41:38] Speaker 1: ass with so many things where he just like, I
[41:41] Speaker 1: don't know what to do. He goes, so surely, surely
[41:45] Speaker 1: those things are not true. We love black people, and
[41:48] Speaker 1: y'all notice see, y'all need to understand how racist these
[41:53] Speaker 1: Republicans are. Their idea, Oh no, we love black people.
[42:00] Speaker 1: Attacked crime? Yeah hear that? Yeah see how he did that?
[42:05] Speaker 1: See how he did that when talking about the erasure
[42:10] Speaker 1: of black people. He goes right back to old No, no, no,
[42:15] Speaker 1: we attacked crime. They restored the portrait of racist General
[42:21] Speaker 1: Robert E. Lee to west point. I mean we could
[42:25] Speaker 1: just go all we could do a role. Call Mustafa
[42:30] Speaker 1: and jd Vance is a flat out heel billy liar.
[42:39] Speaker 5: I mean, I was hoping they were going to also
[42:41] Speaker 5: ask some of the questions about you know, before he
[42:44] Speaker 5: became the vice president, he was very clear. You know,
[42:48] Speaker 5: he said that Donald Trump was a fraud. That's what
[42:50] Speaker 5: he said, not what I said, but what he said.
[42:53] Speaker 5: He said that he was unfit to be president. That's
[42:55] Speaker 5: what he said, not what I said. He said he
[42:58] Speaker 5: was reprehensible, that's what he said. So you know, you
[43:03] Speaker 5: can't call somebody else a fraud and still stand in
[43:05] Speaker 5: front of America and say that you have not been
[43:07] Speaker 5: intentional in actually trying to erase all the hard gains
[43:12] Speaker 5: that black folks have fought for, not erasing all of
[43:17] Speaker 5: those grant programs and contracts and subcontracts opportunities that folks
[43:22] Speaker 5: work so hard for and still had a long way
[43:25] Speaker 5: to go. You have, you know, eliminated environmental justice programs
[43:30] Speaker 5: with the one program that was actually focused on trying
[43:34] Speaker 5: to make sure that our most vulnerable folks could actually
[43:37] Speaker 5: breathe clean air and drink clean water. We can go
[43:40] Speaker 5: down the laundry list of things, whether it's at HUD
[43:43] Speaker 5: or the Education Department, or at CDC or AJHS. Some
[43:47] Speaker 5: of the things that you talked about. There is just
[43:49] Speaker 5: a list of things that there's no way for you
[43:52] Speaker 5: not to know the impacts that are going on, and
[43:55] Speaker 5: then you go in and you strip the language out
[43:58] Speaker 5: that you can't even say disproportionate impacts or vulnerable populations
[44:03] Speaker 5: or a number of other things that help people to
[44:06] Speaker 5: understand who's the ones that are actually being most greatly impacted,
[44:10] Speaker 5: who are the ones that are under attack, who are
[44:12] Speaker 5: the ones whose life is being shortened, who's the ones
[44:15] Speaker 5: that are getting sick and then having no health care
[44:18] Speaker 5: health care to be able to deal with some of
[44:20] Speaker 5: those situations. So you know, he's disingenuous at best. Most
[44:25] Speaker 5: folks would just say that that he's lying and coming
[44:28] Speaker 5: from where he comes from, he should have a better
[44:30] Speaker 5: understanding of what it's like to be oppressed and to
[44:34] Speaker 5: be vulnerable and to be able to hopefully count on
[44:37] Speaker 5: your government to do something to make sure that justice
[44:41] Speaker 5: is a part of the process. But unfortunately, either it
[44:46] Speaker 5: was already inside of him or because of the administration
[44:48] Speaker 5: that he's currently working for. When he says that Donald
[44:52] Speaker 5: Trump is a fraud, then we have to also look
[44:55] Speaker 5: very hard at him and say, what is your definition
[44:58] Speaker 5: of a fraud? Because you're starting to take on many
[45:01] Speaker 5: of those characteristics that Webster would say. But maybe you
[45:04] Speaker 5: have a different definition. So what is it?
[45:08] Speaker 1: He's a liar, pure and simple Randy and this is
[45:11] Speaker 1: an anti black administration, and the proof is all there
[45:16] Speaker 1: in the pudding.
[45:20] Speaker 6: At one point I thought he was dancing. I said,
[45:22] Speaker 6: is he doing the snake? Because he was dodging the
[45:24] Speaker 6: questioned so hard. I didn't know what was going on
[45:27] Speaker 6: with the man. He did not tell anything that was
[45:30] Speaker 6: truthful on that stage and could not at all answer
[45:34] Speaker 6: the questions that were coming towards him, because he should
[45:37] Speaker 6: be ashamed if he were to answer them. Honestly, he
[45:40] Speaker 6: knows that he would not feel comfortable with those answers.
[45:43] Speaker 2: It's particularly considering that.
[45:44] Speaker 6: He does have a brown wife and children, although he seems.
[45:49] Speaker 2: To have forgotten that.
[45:50] Speaker 6: You know, it's all a play of white supremacy. Most
[45:53] Speaker 6: of us, everyone who's watching.
[45:55] Speaker 2: This show right now, if they think about.
[45:57] Speaker 6: Their schooling, they were taught essentially that white people were
[46:02] Speaker 6: the great writers, the great scientists, the great doctors, that
[46:06] Speaker 6: white men did everything as far as we were concerned,
[46:09] Speaker 6: and I know, you know later on when I continued
[46:11] Speaker 6: my education, I was so surprised to learn all the
[46:14] Speaker 6: brilliant things that we had done that that had been
[46:17] Speaker 6: hidden from us.
[46:18] Speaker 2: And we know, if we.
[46:19] Speaker 6: Don't think that someone has done it before, we don't
[46:21] Speaker 6: necessarily believe we could do it ourselves. So knowing our
[46:25] Speaker 6: history definitely affects our future. But that is classic in
[46:29] Speaker 6: white supremacy, and that is what this administration is doing
[46:32] Speaker 6: right now. They are taking things back where they're wiping
[46:36] Speaker 6: away the great accomplishments of our ancestors, the.
[46:40] Speaker 2: Many great things that they did in spite of the.
[46:43] Speaker 6: Circumstances, in spite of white supremacy, in spite of racism.
[46:47] Speaker 6: We have accomplished so much, but they don't want us
[46:50] Speaker 6: to know that. And they undeniably have been very clear
[46:55] Speaker 6: about taking everything down when you look at our Museum
[47:00] Speaker 6: of African American History, like you said, the parks in Philadelphia,
[47:05] Speaker 6: although they.
[47:06] Speaker 2: Had to sue to get those back up.
[47:09] Speaker 6: Right now, in the military, they're wiping out everybody's name
[47:12] Speaker 6: who is black, who's accomplished something, or really who's not
[47:16] Speaker 6: white and male.
[47:18] Speaker 2: They're trying to make it.
[47:19] Speaker 6: Because this is an administration run again on white supremacy,
[47:23] Speaker 6: which is for white males.
[47:24] Speaker 2: They're trying to make it that they are the only
[47:26] Speaker 2: heroes that exists in this country.
[47:30] Speaker 6: And it's it's definitely, it's just sick. And I really
[47:35] Speaker 6: do wish they had pushed back even harder on him
[47:37] Speaker 6: and giving him specific examples, because it's very clear that
[47:40] Speaker 6: they have a point by point plan to ensure that
[47:45] Speaker 6: they tear apart anything black, anything that we've had at,
[47:49] Speaker 6: anything that we've been trying to accomplish going forward.
[47:54] Speaker 20: The one thing that I recognize as he was moving
[48:02] Speaker 20: over and over and I was like, Oh, they got
[48:04] Speaker 20: him by the ropes. And to think that they don't
[48:08] Speaker 20: understand or they don't care to understand, and they are
[48:11] Speaker 20: upset that this country's history of excellence is built on
[48:15] Speaker 20: the backs of African Americans more than the mediocre white
[48:21] Speaker 20: America that they love to remind us of each and
[48:25] Speaker 20: every day as they continue to try to diminish us.
[48:28] Speaker 20: But they understand that they have always This is why
[48:31] Speaker 20: they're mad because their reality is not our reality. They
[48:35] Speaker 20: have always been mediocre, dumb with low IQ's, and their
[48:41] Speaker 20: DNA is based on hate. They stay mad because we
[48:46] Speaker 20: built this country while our ancestors was being raped, both
[48:51] Speaker 20: men and women. They murdered us, they stole from us,
[48:55] Speaker 20: and we still had to find a way to rise
[48:58] Speaker 20: above the ashes. But we didn't ask for that, and
[49:03] Speaker 20: that's the one thing that they can't take. We didn't
[49:05] Speaker 20: ask to be forced to be in this position. They
[49:09] Speaker 20: forced us into it, and all to have the audacity
[49:12] Speaker 20: to be black educating negros.
[49:15] Speaker 7: That's way too much power.
[49:17] Speaker 20: So when I see him sit on that stage and
[49:21] Speaker 20: have this different outlook, and just not so long ago,
[49:27] Speaker 20: you was talking about this man worse than we were.
[49:32] Speaker 20: But this is a thing where I say about white people,
[49:35] Speaker 20: and they get upset when I call them dumb, because
[49:40] Speaker 20: any individual that cannot think for themselves and has to
[49:44] Speaker 20: diminish their capacity to be accepted by their peers and
[49:49] Speaker 20: they can't stand alone. That is textbook White America. They
[49:54] Speaker 20: set their ass at.
[49:57] Speaker 7: Them tables behind closed.
[49:59] Speaker 20: Door to plot and plan to steal the identity of
[50:03] Speaker 20: African Americans. They didn't do it with just the cigar
[50:08] Speaker 20: and some whiskey. They did it at the expense of
[50:12] Speaker 20: innocent kids that they don't want us to talk about.
[50:16] Speaker 20: And I see immigrants who think that they are superior
[50:20] Speaker 20: because they are aligned with them. Y'all are in a
[50:23] Speaker 20: worse position than we are. But when we're talking about
[50:27] Speaker 20: erasing history, they can't erase our history because, unlike them,
[50:32] Speaker 20: we wasn't built on the hate in our DNA. So
[50:37] Speaker 20: we're going to bounce back because that's what we had
[50:40] Speaker 20: to be forced into and you can't take that away.
[50:44] Speaker 20: That's embedded in our DNA. And that's why they continue
[50:47] Speaker 20: to try to displace us instead of praise us.
[50:51] Speaker 1: Well, absolutely, and listen, this is a continuing I keep
[50:55] Speaker 1: telling y'all. That's why I keep saying this is a
[50:58] Speaker 1: GOP warm Black America. And jd Evan sits there and
[51:02] Speaker 1: he knows he's lying, pure and simple. You're watching Rolling
[51:05] Speaker 1: Mout unfiltered on the Black stud Network. All right, folks,
[51:11] Speaker 1: let me tell you about chapter Now. If you're in
[51:14] Speaker 1: medicare or about to be, the system is not set
[51:17] Speaker 1: up to work for you. Too much fine, too many
[51:20] Speaker 1: plans and too many people making money off of your confusion.
[51:23] Speaker 1: And look, we're used to this. We're no strangers to
[51:25] Speaker 1: systems that don't have our best interest at heart. But
[51:28] Speaker 1: we don't have to accept it when it comes to Medicare.
[51:31] Speaker 1: That's why I'm telling you about Chapter. Their advisors are
[51:35] Speaker 1: independent and honest. In fact, they're the only Medicare advisors
[51:40] Speaker 1: that compare every plan nationwide, and they're focused on one thing,
[51:46] Speaker 1: what works for you. If there's a better plan out there,
[51:51] Speaker 1: they'll find it. If you're already in the right one,
[51:54] Speaker 1: they'll tell you that too. There are no games. Just
[51:57] Speaker 1: last year, people who switched with Chapter saved an average
[52:01] Speaker 1: up eleven hundred dollars. It's twenty minutes and a real person.
[52:05] Speaker 1: It's completely free. My parents actually have already called Mom
[52:10] Speaker 1: sent me a text. Folks, give Chapter a call at
[52:13] Speaker 1: seven two four two sixty four eight two eight one.
[52:16] Speaker 1: Seven two four two sixty four eight two eight one
[52:18] Speaker 1: and connect with someone you can trust. Folks, these are
[52:22] Speaker 1: the kind of services that we need for our audience
[52:25] Speaker 1: here at Roland Martin onn Filtered and the Blackstar Network.
[52:28] Speaker 1: So call Chapter right now seven two four two sixty
[52:31] Speaker 1: four eight to eight one. This is Keessen's Atki, mister
[52:36] Speaker 1: lof King of barb Yu, dubon.
[52:38] Speaker 7: Me, Serri Sebor and you know what you want.
[52:40] Speaker 1: You're watching Rowland Marty. I'm filmed it all right. So
[52:49] Speaker 1: Knicks fans had not celebrated the NBA Championship in fifty
[52:53] Speaker 1: three years. Hell, they ain't won nothing since the previous
[52:56] Speaker 1: the first original shaft came out. Uh, but they finally won,
[53:00] Speaker 1: and boy, they had just beside themselves, even though I
[53:02] Speaker 1: wish they would shut the hell up and stop whining
[53:05] Speaker 1: about win being getting foul. You won the damn championship,
[53:09] Speaker 1: my god, shut up and move on and enjoy it.
[53:12] Speaker 1: But let's talk what happened in California. Okay, a woman
[53:16] Speaker 1: and black woman. She's so excited her Nick's a winning.
[53:21] Speaker 1: She's yelling, oh my god, oh my god. Her neighbors
[53:25] Speaker 1: decided to call the cops. I don't understand what's wrong
[53:28] Speaker 1: with her damn neighbors. When you hear oh my god,
[53:30] Speaker 1: oh my god, it was either the NIXT or she
[53:33] Speaker 1: was having great sex. I don't understand what the issue is.
[53:36] Speaker 1: So they call the cops. A whole bunch of cops
[53:39] Speaker 1: roll up, bust up in. They shoot her doll. They
[53:43] Speaker 1: kill her doll. She would celebrate me the Knicks winning, yes, seriously.
[53:51] Speaker 1: Then they shot and kill her two year old golden
[53:53] Speaker 1: retriever Saint Benard and poodle Mix's name Jamison, who was
[53:57] Speaker 1: wearing his Knicks shirt at the time. This is the
[54:00] Speaker 1: video here, turn all of you up the caliber can idea.
[54:11] Speaker 21: Instead of you guys kill the dog because fucking drug
[54:14] Speaker 21: dealers and ship outside want you shoot those motherfuckers.
[54:17] Speaker 16: And this is one of the championship.
[54:19] Speaker 21: We were just so happy we were in class to
[54:22] Speaker 21: celebrate the Nicks.
[54:24] Speaker 5: And staring at a fucking girl.
[54:27] Speaker 29: Outside.
[54:28] Speaker 19: You kill a y.
[54:30] Speaker 2: Oh god, why why why?
[54:39] Speaker 6: Why?
[54:40] Speaker 5: Why? Why?
[54:41] Speaker 23: Why?
[54:46] Speaker 5: This is hey, good job, this is what.
[54:48] Speaker 2: We paid for.
[54:49] Speaker 21: Amazing, amazing work, guys.
[54:55] Speaker 31: Ship.
[55:01] Speaker 7: Oh my, this is.
[55:09] Speaker 5: When there's fucking drug dealers. He's not stabbing each other
[55:12] Speaker 5: outside before. That's absolutely crazy.
[55:17] Speaker 1: That's absolutely crazy.
[55:22] Speaker 23: Oh god, you're sorry.
[55:42] Speaker 1: Okay, all right, so listen to the reaction is stupid. Okay.
[55:49] Speaker 1: They released a statement, uh, and they said that, uh,
[55:54] Speaker 1: the following information is based on a preliminary and ongoing investigation,
[56:00] Speaker 1: which continues to evolve as investigator's interview witnesses, review physical
[56:05] Speaker 1: and electronic records, and analyze forensic evidence. Y'all. They're describing
[56:09] Speaker 1: the shooting of adult. The department's understanding of the facts
[56:12] Speaker 1: and circumstances may change as additional evidence is collected and analyzed,
[56:17] Speaker 1: so their statement reads on June thirteen, twenty twenty six.
[56:21] Speaker 1: You can go to the other graphic. On June thirteen,
[56:23] Speaker 1: twenty twenty six, at around eight fifty five pm, Topanga
[56:26] Speaker 1: Patrol Division and Police officers responded to a radio call
[56:30] Speaker 1: for a quote screaming woman inside of an apartment unit
[56:33] Speaker 1: located in the seventy five hundred block of Jordan Avenue.
[56:36] Speaker 1: The officers met with the person reporting, who directed the
[56:40] Speaker 1: officers to the apartment unit. The officers contacted the resident
[56:44] Speaker 1: in the apartment unit. While speaking with the resident, a
[56:47] Speaker 1: large dog was by her side, barking at the officers.
[56:52] Speaker 1: The officers asked her to secure the dog, and the
[56:55] Speaker 1: resident closed her door. Momentarily, she reopened the door, then
[57:01] Speaker 1: the dog exited the apartment. Once outside of the apartment,
[57:05] Speaker 1: the dog charged at one of the officers, resulting in
[57:09] Speaker 1: an officer involved shooting. Los Angeles Department of Animal Sciences
[57:13] Speaker 1: Services was notified, responded to the scene and took custody
[57:16] Speaker 1: of the deceased dog. The dog owner was at scene
[57:20] Speaker 1: and cooperated with the investigation. Forced Investigation Division investigators responded
[57:24] Speaker 1: to the scene and are investigating this incident. Forced Investigation
[57:27] Speaker 1: Division investigators respond to the scene or investgative incident. No
[57:30] Speaker 1: community members or officers were injured as a result of
[57:33] Speaker 1: this incident. If the woman comes to the door and says,
[57:43] Speaker 1: why are y'all at my door? I'm watching the NBA Finals.
[57:49] Speaker 1: I'm a Knicks fan. I'm watching the game. How about
[57:56] Speaker 1: you leave? No kill a dog. Now they've now where
[58:02] Speaker 1: the dog has been shot. They turned this thing into memorial.
[58:06] Speaker 1: They're raising money for this woman. This is literally just
[58:10] Speaker 1: just one of the most utterly ridiculous. This is an interview.
[58:15] Speaker 1: Her name is Marie Marsell. Okay, so play play the
[58:21] Speaker 1: video that she did with Good Day La. I don't
[58:25] Speaker 1: understand what happened. They don't understand why he had to
[58:29] Speaker 1: get shot. I don't get it. He didn't do anything.
[58:33] Speaker 7: Jamison wasn't bearing teeth, he wasn't drownling, he wasn't aggressive,
[58:38] Speaker 7: he wasn't barking.
[58:41] Speaker 1: He was just moving towards the officer. My baby, he's
[58:45] Speaker 1: my baby. It doesn't make any sense to me. I
[58:48] Speaker 1: can't make sense of anything. I mean, this is a
[58:54] Speaker 1: crazy story with Thelma.
[59:00] Speaker 20: Yo, I am at a loss for words because if
[59:04] Speaker 20: you know this kind of dog, these dogs are so comforting,
[59:12] Speaker 20: they are easy going. They don't bark literally at all,
[59:19] Speaker 20: like I help, Monty is over here, and that's this dog.
[59:23] Speaker 20: That's the same type of dog. So there was no threat.
[59:28] Speaker 20: That dog was not coming for them to be in
[59:30] Speaker 20: fear of anything.
[59:32] Speaker 7: And we are.
[59:33] Speaker 20: Dealing with rogue, irresponsible officers and unfortunately what I am
[59:40] Speaker 20: looking at him and a dog having a black owner
[59:43] Speaker 20: subjected him to being racially profiled as well. And that's
[59:48] Speaker 20: what is coming off because there was no need for
[59:52] Speaker 20: them to take out a gun and shoot a non
[59:57] Speaker 20: threatening dog and then y'all standing around like oo, we
[1:00:03] Speaker 20: did the same way they stand around when they they
[1:00:07] Speaker 20: kill us.
[1:00:08] Speaker 7: So it's like, what are y'all thinking? What are you
[1:00:12] Speaker 7: who's training y'all?
[1:00:13] Speaker 20: Who is giving y'all this mindset to shoot and kill
[1:00:17] Speaker 20: any and everything that is associated with black people, because that's.
[1:00:22] Speaker 7: What it feels like.
[1:00:23] Speaker 20: It feels like that dog was racially profile because that
[1:00:27] Speaker 20: dog had a black owner.
[1:00:30] Speaker 1: It's crazy. I again, I sit here and I'm like,
[1:00:35] Speaker 1: how many of y'all rolled up there? Mustapha, Yeah, it's bizarre.
[1:00:41] Speaker 5: I mean, you know, how folks do. They want to
[1:00:43] Speaker 5: show strength, and so they roll up in situations way
[1:00:48] Speaker 5: too deep, and then all that energy, you know, just
[1:00:51] Speaker 5: starts to overtake situations in set of people using their
[1:00:55] Speaker 5: minds and their hearts. I had a dog that looked
[1:00:58] Speaker 5: like that when I was a little kid. Was we
[1:01:00] Speaker 5: this dog in the world. I just don't get it.
[1:01:04] Speaker 5: I mean, for many people, their dog is a member
[1:01:09] Speaker 5: of their family, right, so when you unlive that dog,
[1:01:12] Speaker 5: you know, it's like probably for that lady, like losing
[1:01:15] Speaker 5: a child or brother or sister or whatever the you know,
[1:01:19] Speaker 5: the situation might be. And the other thing of it
[1:01:22] Speaker 5: is is that if us, if any of us did
[1:01:25] Speaker 5: this in the state of California, it's up to three
[1:01:28] Speaker 5: years that you can be given for either put in
[1:01:31] Speaker 5: prison or jail. I think it's twenty thousand up to
[1:01:34] Speaker 5: a twenty thousand dollars fine. And these individuals, you know,
[1:01:38] Speaker 5: they'll get a chance to just walk away. Hopefully they
[1:01:41] Speaker 5: weren't joking later on. But I've seen I've seen some
[1:01:45] Speaker 5: things over the years that it's just unhuman that people
[1:01:49] Speaker 5: continue to do. But this was so unnecessary to take
[1:01:53] Speaker 5: this lady's pet away. And I hope that the pressure
[1:01:59] Speaker 5: is based on them to be better and to do
[1:02:03] Speaker 5: better so that no lives are taken, you know, whether
[1:02:07] Speaker 5: it has to be an animal's life or people's lives.
[1:02:10] Speaker 5: We got to stop being so trigger happy or so skittish.
[1:02:16] Speaker 5: I mean, I can't even imagine. You know, that dog
[1:02:18] Speaker 5: came out and I'm like, so, what was going on
[1:02:20] Speaker 5: in your life that you felt that you needed to
[1:02:22] Speaker 5: pull the trigger to take this dog's life? So yeah,
[1:02:27] Speaker 5: you know, prayers up to her and she's able to heal.
[1:02:31] Speaker 1: Randy.
[1:02:34] Speaker 6: It shows really how racism definitely bleeds. I mean, the
[1:02:38] Speaker 6: simple fact that you have it looked like eight officers
[1:02:42] Speaker 6: showing up for one woman that was screaming and a
[1:02:46] Speaker 6: dog barking.
[1:02:47] Speaker 2: Eight officers.
[1:02:48] Speaker 6: It seems certainly their time could have been used better
[1:02:52] Speaker 6: in other ways.
[1:02:53] Speaker 2: And then the dog was simply a dog.
[1:02:55] Speaker 6: A dog is going to bark when they're strangers around,
[1:02:58] Speaker 6: That's what a dog is supposed to do.
[1:03:00] Speaker 2: And a dog, particularly a friendly dog, is going to
[1:03:03] Speaker 2: try to greet the visitors. But I do.
[1:03:06] Speaker 6: Feel that when you have these officers and they are
[1:03:10] Speaker 6: dealing with black people, the stress is already heightened. They
[1:03:14] Speaker 6: already come with with, you know, the pressure up just
[1:03:18] Speaker 6: because they see us as thugs. They don't they don't
[1:03:22] Speaker 6: see us as human. And his attitude had to have
[1:03:27] Speaker 6: been very heightened because of the fact that he shot
[1:03:31] Speaker 6: a dog, right, I mean, there there had to be
[1:03:33] Speaker 6: something wrong, and I believe again it goes back to racism.
[1:03:38] Speaker 6: Why were you so tense that you could not manage
[1:03:41] Speaker 6: a dog? We are paying these people taxpayer money to
[1:03:44] Speaker 6: bring peace to situations and certainly not kill our pets
[1:03:50] Speaker 6: or our family members. I mean, that woman is never
[1:03:53] Speaker 6: going to forget that all the people around her, and
[1:03:56] Speaker 6: and and those those cops will most likely just get
[1:03:59] Speaker 6: to walk way with no sort of repercussions, sadly. So, yes,
[1:04:06] Speaker 6: I do believe that these are I don't. We say
[1:04:09] Speaker 6: it all the time, but we have to do something
[1:04:13] Speaker 6: to get these officers where they're not immediately in a
[1:04:17] Speaker 6: heightened stage just because they are dealing with black people.
[1:04:23] Speaker 1: Uh, that's who they are, and this is exactly what
[1:04:26] Speaker 1: they do. And it's a whole bunch of dog lovers
[1:04:29] Speaker 1: in LA who are really pissed off with what is
[1:04:33] Speaker 1: taking place. Before I go to my next door, let
[1:04:36] Speaker 1: me just go ahead and say this here because I
[1:04:37] Speaker 1: see some of y'all in the chat. I don't give
[1:04:39] Speaker 1: a damn what y'all think. I'm serious. Knicks fans are whiners.
[1:04:46] Speaker 1: I don't see how you win the NBA Championship four
[1:04:50] Speaker 1: games to one and y'all still bitching about it. Wenby,
[1:04:54] Speaker 1: he's a teater, he's too aggressive. We don't like they
[1:04:57] Speaker 1: didn't call enough fiules. You literally he won.
[1:05:01] Speaker 32: Seriously, Knicks fans, shut the fuck up, damn. I mean
[1:05:10] Speaker 32: as all I see group chats test on social like
[1:05:15] Speaker 32: you literally one who cares they didn't call certain files
[1:05:21] Speaker 32: that you thought they should call.
[1:05:22] Speaker 1: Shut up? You won enjoy it. See this right here
[1:05:27] Speaker 1: is why many of us didn't want to see the
[1:05:29] Speaker 1: Knicks win. Because see, Knicks fans actually have been on
[1:05:34] Speaker 1: crack for the last fifty three years, and they swear
[1:05:37] Speaker 1: the data best team. They swear all New York is
[1:05:40] Speaker 1: the mecca, and they hadn't won in fifty three years.
[1:05:44] Speaker 1: This is precisely why people didn't want Knicks fans to win,
[1:05:48] Speaker 1: because y'all won't shut up and just enjoy the damn win.
[1:05:55] Speaker 1: Anybody paying on y'all can go ahead. Damn many Knicks
[1:05:57] Speaker 1: fans get on my damn nerves.
[1:06:01] Speaker 2: Let's hope my family from New York is not watching
[1:06:03] Speaker 2: right now.
[1:06:05] Speaker 1: I don't care. Listen, hey, listen, when my Rockets beat
[1:06:09] Speaker 1: the Knicks. Ass, y'all remember in ninety five, Okay, when
[1:06:14] Speaker 1: my teams won. Listen when my when my Astros lost
[1:06:18] Speaker 1: in the World Series. When that Washington Nationals dude looked
[1:06:22] Speaker 1: up and hit the home run, I'm not sitting the Hey, god,
[1:06:26] Speaker 1: god like he hit that pitch. Yo, Hey, he hit
[1:06:29] Speaker 1: a hard pitch. They won, They won the World Series.
[1:06:33] Speaker 1: Damn we won two. We lost two, but damn they
[1:06:36] Speaker 1: are still complaining about some shit that happen a series
[1:06:40] Speaker 1: that they won. Thelma.
[1:06:43] Speaker 2: Part of being and your culture is to have a
[1:06:45] Speaker 2: little chip on your shoulder.
[1:06:47] Speaker 1: Well, guess what, you don't need it.
[1:06:49] Speaker 25: You just okay, listen, you just won the chip, So
[1:06:53] Speaker 25: shut the fuck up. You just want it, Go get
[1:06:56] Speaker 25: your Knicks World champions shirts and hats and shut up.
[1:07:02] Speaker 2: That's not New York.
[1:07:04] Speaker 20: But even more so when we look at how they
[1:07:08] Speaker 20: was doing the San Antonio has one of the most
[1:07:10] Speaker 20: peaceful basketball teams and things they don't even they don't
[1:07:16] Speaker 20: like arguing.
[1:07:17] Speaker 7: They don't do none of that and y'all in New.
[1:07:20] Speaker 20: York attacking them when y'all won the game too. I'm
[1:07:24] Speaker 20: just like, New York, come on there, Like y'all are
[1:07:27] Speaker 20: embarrassing the state of New York with that behavior, Like
[1:07:32] Speaker 20: you want you want to beat people up for having
[1:07:34] Speaker 20: on the jersey. You win the title, you're still mad,
[1:07:39] Speaker 20: You're still aggressive, Like you're yelling at the TV, You're.
[1:07:41] Speaker 7: Yelling at yourself, you're yelling at your baby.
[1:07:44] Speaker 2: I'm like, do y'all is y'all? Okay?
[1:07:47] Speaker 7: Do y'all need a tranquilizer?
[1:07:52] Speaker 1: Okay? Who stopped looking at this person? Alex in raising Jackson? No, Roland, Oh,
[1:08:01] Speaker 1: he could have called serious injury to not only the
[1:08:04] Speaker 1: Knicks players, but other players in the playoffs. He's a
[1:08:06] Speaker 1: dirty player. First of all, no Knicks fan should ever
[1:08:13] Speaker 1: call somebody else dirty. When y'all had Charles Oakley who
[1:08:20] Speaker 1: fought everybody, and Anthony Mason who fought everybody, in Xavier McDaniel,
[1:08:28] Speaker 1: who fought everybody on your team, y'all need to be quiet.
[1:08:33] Speaker 5: Been some bruisers who played for the Knicks. There ain't
[1:08:36] Speaker 5: no doubt about that. I mean, most of the Knicks
[1:08:38] Speaker 5: fans that I know, and I also care about the Knicks,
[1:08:42] Speaker 5: just taking the w and getting prepared for next year,
[1:08:45] Speaker 5: you know, because people are gonna come for you. So
[1:08:48] Speaker 5: that's where the focus needs to be. Because anybody who's
[1:08:50] Speaker 5: a true sports fan understands that the game is rough.
[1:08:53] Speaker 5: It ain't as rough as it used to be, but
[1:08:55] Speaker 5: it's still rough, and you're gonna get some calls and
[1:08:58] Speaker 5: other calls you aren't and that's why you got to
[1:09:00] Speaker 5: just make sure you got a tight game. So shout
[1:09:02] Speaker 5: out to the brothers who were able to, you know,
[1:09:04] Speaker 5: make sure that they brought that win home. And that's
[1:09:07] Speaker 5: what folks should be focused on. You know, we talk
[1:09:10] Speaker 5: about black joy, we can just talk about nixt joy.
[1:09:12] Speaker 5: Make sure that you're embracing it because next year is
[1:09:15] Speaker 5: going to be more difficult. It's gonna be more difficult
[1:09:17] Speaker 5: to hold the players because you know, some folks will
[1:09:20] Speaker 5: be up for contract negotiations. So be focused on the moment.
[1:09:24] Speaker 5: Enjoy the moment, yeah, and just get ready.
[1:09:27] Speaker 1: And all the foods saying your team lost. I ain't
[1:09:30] Speaker 1: no San Antonio Spurs fan. I'm from Houston, Okay, so
[1:09:35] Speaker 1: let's be real clear. I didn't give a damn. I
[1:09:38] Speaker 1: didn't and I would see. The reason I would have
[1:09:41] Speaker 1: rather seen the Spurs win is precisely because y'all whining
[1:09:45] Speaker 1: ass and New York Knicks people. It's precisely it. Okay,
[1:09:50] Speaker 1: so be like Spike Lee, enjoyed to win, but stop
[1:09:54] Speaker 1: bitching money the god they should have called more files.
[1:09:58] Speaker 1: They would go hurt Jalen at all my I mean,
[1:10:00] Speaker 1: it's just stupid, like, literally, go get your little championship hat,
[1:10:06] Speaker 1: Go get your little championship jersey, get ready to go
[1:10:09] Speaker 1: to your little parade and be happy. But just shut
[1:10:13] Speaker 1: up and stop whining about what happened in a series
[1:10:17] Speaker 1: that you won four games to one. Seriously, shut up.
[1:10:25] Speaker 1: I'll be back, folks. Let me tell you about Chapter. Now,
[1:10:32] Speaker 1: if you're in Medicare or about to be, the system
[1:10:36] Speaker 1: is not set up to work for you. Too much
[1:10:38] Speaker 1: fine print, too many plans, and too many people making
[1:10:40] Speaker 1: money off of your confusion. And look, we're used to this.
[1:10:43] Speaker 1: We're no strangers to systems that don't have our best
[1:10:46] Speaker 1: interests at heart. But we don't have to accept it
[1:10:49] Speaker 1: when it comes to Medicare. That's why I'm telling you
[1:10:51] Speaker 1: about Chapter. Their advisors are independent and honest. In fact,
[1:10:57] Speaker 1: they're the only medicare advisors that compare every plan nationwide,
[1:11:02] Speaker 1: and they're focused on one thing, what works for you.
[1:11:08] Speaker 1: If there's a better plan out there, they'll find it.
[1:11:11] Speaker 1: If you're already in the right one, they'll tell you
[1:11:14] Speaker 1: that too. There are no games. Just last year, people
[1:11:17] Speaker 1: who switched with Chapter saved an average up eleven hundred dollars.
[1:11:22] Speaker 1: It's twenty minutes and a real person. It's completely free.
[1:11:26] Speaker 1: My parents actually have already called Mom, sent me a text. Folks,
[1:11:31] Speaker 1: give Chapter a call at seven two four two sixty
[1:11:33] Speaker 1: four eight two eight one seven two four two sixty
[1:11:36] Speaker 1: four A two eight one and connect with someone you
[1:11:39] Speaker 1: can trust. Folks. These are the kind of services that
[1:11:42] Speaker 1: we need for our audience here at Roland Martin onn
[1:11:45] Speaker 1: Filtered and the Blackstar Network. So call Chapter right now
[1:11:49] Speaker 1: seven two four two sixty four eight to eight one.
[1:11:54] Speaker 7: Hey, what's up with Sammy Roman?
[1:11:56] Speaker 1: He is John ready executly produce up the new Charity
[1:11:58] Speaker 1: Supper talk show.
[1:11:59] Speaker 7: If me say, and you know what you're watching? Roland
[1:12:02] Speaker 7: Martin unfeltered.
[1:12:08] Speaker 1: All right y'all time talking about crazy ass racist white
[1:12:11] Speaker 1: people of white racist in Illinois, got what was coming
[1:12:14] Speaker 1: for him after yelling racial slurs at a nine year
[1:12:17] Speaker 1: old black boy. Twenty nine year old Jeffrey Feigenbaum has
[1:12:20] Speaker 1: been charged with two felony accounts of hate crime along
[1:12:23] Speaker 1: with mister Beaner, battery and disorderly conduct. According to prosecutors,
[1:12:27] Speaker 1: this racist confronted the child on Saturday after a disputed
[1:12:31] Speaker 1: involving children building a fort. Authority say he came out
[1:12:36] Speaker 1: of a home, called the young boy the inWORD, pushed him,
[1:12:40] Speaker 1: and then threw his bike as the boy tried to
[1:12:42] Speaker 1: run away, fagging bombs. The next quart appearance, it's scheduled
[1:12:45] Speaker 1: for July thirteenth. Now, how about this one in North Carolina?
[1:12:49] Speaker 1: A former state rep just showed his complete ass when
[1:12:53] Speaker 1: he just objected to June tenth.
[1:12:59] Speaker 22: First of all, I want to address this thing about
[1:13:01] Speaker 22: June tenth.
[1:13:03] Speaker 33: I don't support it because it is based on a lie.
[1:13:07] Speaker 22: People were not set free by the Emancipation Proclamation. And
[1:13:13] Speaker 22: that general whoever he was, that told people in Texas
[1:13:17] Speaker 22: that they had been set free on June nineteenth. Maybe
[1:13:21] Speaker 22: he had just set them free, but it wasn't. Because
[1:13:23] Speaker 22: of Emancipation Proclamation, it only applied to Southern Confederate states
[1:13:30] Speaker 22: and territories. It did not apply to the slaves in
[1:13:34] Speaker 22: Union States.
[1:13:36] Speaker 33: That's why General Grant, who could have set.
[1:13:42] Speaker 22: His wife's slaves free at any time, refused to do
[1:13:46] Speaker 22: so until the thirteenth Amendment was passed in December. It
[1:13:52] Speaker 22: was passed in June, but was finally ratified and became
[1:13:56] Speaker 22: law in December.
[1:13:58] Speaker 33: I believe it was December eighteenth.
[1:14:00] Speaker 22: Of eighteen sixty five, eight months after the war was
[1:14:03] Speaker 22: over and Lincoln was dead. If you want to celebrate
[1:14:06] Speaker 22: the saves being set free, I want to celebrate they
[1:14:12] Speaker 22: celebrated Teams the five when the actually have Okay, now,
[1:14:21] Speaker 22: the state GFP convention this weekend, and she's on the
[1:14:27] Speaker 22: executive committee. They had their meeting yesterday, and so she
[1:14:31] Speaker 22: was in the meeting and I was standing in the
[1:14:33] Speaker 22: back because I'm not on that executive committee. And this
[1:14:37] Speaker 22: very nice black gentleman came up to me to talk
[1:14:40] Speaker 22: to me and thank me for things I had said
[1:14:42] Speaker 22: in the convention and to solicit my support for him
[1:14:47] Speaker 22: to replace Secretary of Troxler as Secretary of Labor.
[1:14:52] Speaker 33: After we talked, I'm glad to say.
[1:14:54] Speaker 22: I will support him. But when this stuff came up
[1:14:57] Speaker 22: about June tenth, while he and I were back there
[1:14:59] Speaker 22: quietly talking. I told him about my objections to it
[1:15:03] Speaker 22: and why I objected, and how it ought to be
[1:15:06] Speaker 22: in December, not June tenth, and he agreed with me.
[1:15:10] Speaker 33: Because he's a reasonable man.
[1:15:11] Speaker 22: He understood the truth that I was telling him. Okay,
[1:15:15] Speaker 22: now moving on to the transparency statement.
[1:15:21] Speaker 33: I wanted to pass that.
[1:15:22] Speaker 22: There's a lot of good in that statement that I
[1:15:25] Speaker 22: agree strongly with.
[1:15:27] Speaker 33: There were a couple of things to.
[1:15:28] Speaker 22: Which I objected, and so I offered to the board
[1:15:32] Speaker 22: members an amended version to correct those things. And it
[1:15:39] Speaker 22: was my understanding we were going to consider that amended
[1:15:42] Speaker 22: version do it tonight. I found out today we're not
[1:15:45] Speaker 22: going to. I wish I could have gotten that amended
[1:15:48] Speaker 22: version before us, because I would have voted for that
[1:15:52] Speaker 22: as it was written. With the things I had to
[1:15:54] Speaker 22: object to, I might have to vote no. But things
[1:16:00] Speaker 22: that I said yesterday or not yesterday, but Saturday during
[1:16:03] Speaker 22: the state convention that got a huge response.
[1:16:06] Speaker 33: And that's one of the things this gentleman came up
[1:16:08] Speaker 33: to me to talk.
[1:16:08] Speaker 22: About, was you keep hearing all this garbage about elected
[1:16:13] Speaker 22: officials being leaders.
[1:16:16] Speaker 33: And I told a convention I'm.
[1:16:18] Speaker 22: Sick and tired of hearing people call elected officials leaders.
[1:16:22] Speaker 33: We are supposed to be public servants.
[1:16:27] Speaker 22: That's all I've ever tried to be as an elected official.
[1:16:31] Speaker 33: I don't want this job.
[1:16:32] Speaker 22: Everybody knows that, but so many people insisted on it
[1:16:37] Speaker 22: that I ran, and I got the job, and I'm
[1:16:40] Speaker 22: trying to do it the best I can.
[1:16:43] Speaker 33: But I don't want to support anything based.
[1:16:45] Speaker 1: On a lie.
[1:16:47] Speaker 22: And I am willing to hear people, but I appreciate
[1:16:50] Speaker 22: it if you didn't attack somebody you don't really know about.
[1:16:54] Speaker 33: Stuff about which you know nothing. You don't know me.
[1:17:00] Speaker 33: You people who want to attack me or any of
[1:17:03] Speaker 33: the rest of us.
[1:17:04] Speaker 22: Up here, and you may know some of them. I
[1:17:06] Speaker 22: don't know if you do or not. But true history
[1:17:14] Speaker 22: is important, not what an elitist point of view forces
[1:17:24] Speaker 22: to be taught in schools and ignores.
[1:17:26] Speaker 33: The real truth of what happened. And my son, hey,
[1:17:31] Speaker 33: it is not your turn, sir.
[1:17:35] Speaker 22: My son graduated from wing At University with a degree
[1:17:40] Speaker 22: in history, and I've talked to him about some of
[1:17:43] Speaker 22: these things, and from his studies, he confirms to me
[1:17:46] Speaker 22: exactly what I've learned by going beyond textbooks and looking
[1:17:50] Speaker 22: at other sources. A lot of these things I learned
[1:17:53] Speaker 22: by doing that when I was a kid, and it
[1:17:57] Speaker 22: makes me sick.
[1:17:58] Speaker 33: What passes for history.
[1:18:00] Speaker 22: That is falsehood, and I will not just sit by
[1:18:04] Speaker 22: and take it.
[1:18:06] Speaker 33: I guess I've said enough.
[1:18:08] Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah, you said enough?
[1:18:12] Speaker 33: Boy?
[1:18:12] Speaker 1: Boy?
[1:18:15] Speaker 5: What do you mean?
[1:18:16] Speaker 6: Boy?
[1:18:19] Speaker 33: I mean you act I mature?
[1:18:20] Speaker 7: Siserman?
[1:18:23] Speaker 1: Oh y'all, so you're right. We don't know who you are, uh,
[1:18:29] Speaker 1: Larry Pittman, but we know you're stupid. I mean, shouldn't
[1:18:34] Speaker 1: be celebrated though June nineteenth. It should be celebrated in December,
[1:18:39] Speaker 1: you Larry. We know the Emancipation Proclamation freed those enslaved
[1:18:46] Speaker 1: in Confederate states. Yeah, we know that, we already know that. Well,
[1:18:52] Speaker 1: General Grandeer, he didn't really free the slaves when he
[1:18:55] Speaker 1: got the Texas well, actually he did, because Texas was
[1:18:58] Speaker 1: a Confederate state. Like really, like really, I mean, oh
[1:19:07] Speaker 1: my god. The stupidity of these people is crazy. And
[1:19:13] Speaker 1: let's just be real clear here, fella. I don't think
[1:19:19] Speaker 1: for a second, this fool even support juneteenth period, whether
[1:19:22] Speaker 1: it was juneteenth or whether it was December eighteenth, or
[1:19:27] Speaker 1: whatever the hell you call it.
[1:19:30] Speaker 20: This is a continuation of the stupidity that comes out
[1:19:36] Speaker 20: of these ignorant, lost low IQ sauls.
[1:19:40] Speaker 7: Like the audacity.
[1:19:42] Speaker 20: They don't want African Americans to have anything.
[1:19:47] Speaker 7: We wouldn't even need a jul teeth.
[1:19:49] Speaker 20: If y'all did put us in slavery, We wouldn't even
[1:19:52] Speaker 20: need a June teeth if y'all would be godly. So
[1:19:57] Speaker 20: you're mad because you people put us in a position
[1:20:01] Speaker 20: to now have to celebrate our freedom.
[1:20:04] Speaker 2: Are you kidding me?
[1:20:06] Speaker 7: I'm like, they.
[1:20:07] Speaker 20: Want to rewrite history and they don't even know the
[1:20:10] Speaker 20: fucking real history, and that would be just pissing me
[1:20:14] Speaker 20: off with them because it's right there, it's in black
[1:20:17] Speaker 20: and white. But this is the thing with the trickery
[1:20:20] Speaker 20: and the rewriting narratives to make them feel comfortable in
[1:20:25] Speaker 20: the hate that is embedded in their DNA. Like, sir,
[1:20:28] Speaker 20: it's a lot of other things that's going on in
[1:20:30] Speaker 20: this country. And you arguing about Juneteenth because y'all had
[1:20:34] Speaker 20: to free us.
[1:20:35] Speaker 7: Oh, be fucking for real.
[1:20:37] Speaker 1: All randed. My son majored in history at WINDGate, so
[1:20:42] Speaker 1: I know what I'm talking about.
[1:20:46] Speaker 6: I think that's probably about as much knowledge as he
[1:20:48] Speaker 6: has is that somebody told him somewhere over dinner.
[1:20:51] Speaker 2: The only accurate thing that he said during that speech
[1:20:55] Speaker 2: was I think I've said enough. That was about it.
[1:20:58] Speaker 2: Everything else he said was a bunch of crap.
[1:21:01] Speaker 6: And you know what really disturbs me is when white
[1:21:04] Speaker 6: people always want to put up one black person as
[1:21:08] Speaker 6: a spokesman for us. If they can find one white
[1:21:11] Speaker 6: from one black person that agrees with them, they think
[1:21:14] Speaker 6: that they have proven it right, that this person has
[1:21:17] Speaker 6: spoken for all black people and they have.
[1:21:20] Speaker 2: Approved of my hidden racism. So it's okay.
[1:21:23] Speaker 6: That always just drives me absolutely nuts when they do that.
[1:21:28] Speaker 6: But then the end where he ended it with boy,
[1:21:31] Speaker 6: he you know his racism completely know he was trying
[1:21:34] Speaker 6: to hold it back.
[1:21:38] Speaker 1: I don't know if he was talking to about the
[1:21:39] Speaker 1: black or white in the audience. I don't know. We
[1:21:41] Speaker 1: couldn't see it. But I'm just a charge word though
[1:21:46] Speaker 1: regardless conversation. I understand that what I'm saying, though is
[1:21:50] Speaker 1: referenced to a black person, it's different than he is
[1:21:53] Speaker 1: to somebody white. I just don't. I'm just like, dude, really,
[1:21:57] Speaker 1: this is like we're whitey Because well, no, slavery was
[1:22:02] Speaker 1: officially abolished with the radic with the thirteenth Amendment of
[1:22:08] Speaker 1: being ratified. Me, we ratified the fourteenth wment, boy, sit down,
[1:22:13] Speaker 1: sit down, I'm like god, thirteenth, fourteenth, fifteenth Amendment Reconstruction amendments. Well, yeah,
[1:22:17] Speaker 1: it wasn't officially ratified, so then you can make the argument,
[1:22:20] Speaker 1: well when Congress passed him, but then let stay said
[1:22:22] Speaker 1: the ratified please and this way, and he also don't
[1:22:29] Speaker 1: know that he's talking about because again, and this is
[1:22:31] Speaker 1: also for a whole bunch of black people too, who
[1:22:34] Speaker 1: can plain about Juneteenth. Let me, I just want to
[1:22:37] Speaker 1: help all y'all out. Okay, I'm from Texas. We don't
[1:22:42] Speaker 1: give a damn if y'all don't like June teenth. Let
[1:22:46] Speaker 1: me say this right now. This is for anybody I
[1:22:49] Speaker 1: see these dgros. We didn't ask for June tenth, the
[1:22:51] Speaker 1: offederal holiday. But go sit your hands down. Some of
[1:22:54] Speaker 1: us did. I just want to remind all y'all who
[1:22:57] Speaker 1: don't know what, who don't know shit? Okay, those of
[1:23:00] Speaker 1: us in Texas didn't ask y'all permission. Black Texas created
[1:23:09] Speaker 1: June teenth, didn't me real clear? Black Texas created June
[1:23:16] Speaker 1: tenth because it happened on June nineteenth. Eighteen sixty five.
[1:23:23] Speaker 1: The celebrations happened in Texas on June seventh, nineteen seventy nine.
[1:23:30] Speaker 1: It's when my frat brother, then State Representative Al Edwards,
[1:23:35] Speaker 1: got it passed in the last hour of legislative session.
[1:23:39] Speaker 1: The first year it was celebrated as a state holiday
[1:23:42] Speaker 1: was June nineteenth, nineteen eighty. So all y'all, people who
[1:23:47] Speaker 1: run your mouths again, June teenth is specific to Texas.
[1:23:56] Speaker 1: The reason is the national holidays because it then represents
[1:24:04] Speaker 1: the only, let me be clear, even for the millenated
[1:24:09] Speaker 1: fools who run their mouths, June teenth is the only
[1:24:15] Speaker 1: republic federal recognition of slavery in this country. There is
[1:24:25] Speaker 1: no other day, no other event that acknowledges the original
[1:24:31] Speaker 1: sin of slavery. So the people who don't like June
[1:24:35] Speaker 1: teenth to rethink their perspective on this, because that's what
[1:24:41] Speaker 1: it also does. Stuff go ahead.
[1:24:45] Speaker 5: You know, I'm glad you raised the last point because
[1:24:47] Speaker 5: you know, for all of our folks, if you just
[1:24:49] Speaker 5: have to understand how much work, blood, sweat, and tears
[1:24:53] Speaker 5: that goes into being able to bring forward to the country.
[1:24:58] Speaker 5: You know what it formally Enslaved people had to go through.
[1:25:02] Speaker 5: It puts a spotlight on it. It helps to make
[1:25:04] Speaker 5: sure that no one can ever, you know, kind of
[1:25:07] Speaker 5: just walk away from it, because this country loves not
[1:25:10] Speaker 5: just to erase things, but to never ever take responsibility.
[1:25:14] Speaker 5: So it is an opportunity to make sure, you know
[1:25:17] Speaker 5: that all the things that were tied up in slavery
[1:25:21] Speaker 5: are brought forward, but also how we celebrate and how
[1:25:25] Speaker 5: our black joy moves forward, and our black excellence and
[1:25:28] Speaker 5: many of the things that we often talk about. The
[1:25:30] Speaker 5: last thing that I'll say is when that person was talking,
[1:25:35] Speaker 5: all I could hear was Forrest Gump saying stupid is
[1:25:38] Speaker 5: as stupid does. And it just kept reverberating in my
[1:25:42] Speaker 5: head because when we allow these individuals to say untruthful things,
[1:25:47] Speaker 5: whether it's through misinformation or disinformation, we do a disservice
[1:25:52] Speaker 5: to all of our ancestors who poured so much into
[1:25:56] Speaker 5: helping us to be seen, helping us to be honored.
[1:26:00] Speaker 5: So we should always remember that and stay engaged in
[1:26:03] Speaker 5: the process, because if you don't, the narrative will continue
[1:26:07] Speaker 5: to change, and it will never be a narrative that
[1:26:09] Speaker 5: is truthful about who we are and all that we
[1:26:12] Speaker 5: have been through and all that we have contributed.
[1:26:15] Speaker 1: And again I just want and still just say this
[1:26:18] Speaker 1: the yearbod, I understand, this is the only day out
[1:26:25] Speaker 1: of three hundred and sixty five days, this is the
[1:26:28] Speaker 1: only day annually where national media and everybody has to
[1:26:34] Speaker 1: mention slavery. Let me say it again, they got to
[1:26:40] Speaker 1: mention it. You cannot discuss Juneteenth and you don't mention slavery,
[1:26:49] Speaker 1: just for y'all who are all hot and bothered, who
[1:26:52] Speaker 1: can't stand it. And again stop it. And also for
[1:26:56] Speaker 1: some history. And we're going to have his son Edwards
[1:26:59] Speaker 1: Junior on the show of the tomorrow or Thursday. When
[1:27:03] Speaker 1: it got passed, Representative Al Edwards and I'm deceased, traveled
[1:27:07] Speaker 1: to legislatures all across the country trying to get them
[1:27:10] Speaker 1: to follow up. So one of the reasons June teen spread.
[1:27:14] Speaker 1: So let me just be clear. Al Edwards is the
[1:27:19] Speaker 1: father of June teenth. Ople Lee folks who called her
[1:27:25] Speaker 1: the grandmother of June tenth. Let's be clear without what
[1:27:30] Speaker 1: Representative Al Edwards did in Texas June seventh, nineteen seventy nine.
[1:27:36] Speaker 1: In fact, my parents at their church, it was a
[1:27:38] Speaker 1: sister who stood up. She actually moved to Texas A
[1:27:40] Speaker 1: and them together, and she was reading the history of
[1:27:42] Speaker 1: June ten to my mom, like how she just skipped
[1:27:44] Speaker 1: over the fact it was their holiday in Texas. So
[1:27:47] Speaker 1: I had to let her know after service, sisters, you
[1:27:50] Speaker 1: left a couple of details out, and uh, yes it did,
[1:27:53] Speaker 1: Yes I did. But again, without what Representative Al Edwards
[1:27:57] Speaker 1: did on June seventh, nineteen seventy nine, you wouldn't have
[1:28:01] Speaker 1: a national holiday. So let's just be real clear how
[1:28:05] Speaker 1: these things happen. It does not take away from opal
[1:28:08] Speaker 1: Lee walking across the country and all that sort of
[1:28:11] Speaker 1: stuff and her advocacy. But June tenth is a Texas thing.
[1:28:17] Speaker 1: That's the whole point of it. And so I don't
[1:28:21] Speaker 1: want to hear what Larry Pittmany got to say in
[1:28:23] Speaker 1: North Carolina. Just sit down and be quiet and shut up.
[1:28:28] Speaker 1: We got this all right, y'all. Typer Blackstar Network head
[1:28:31] Speaker 1: lies with Britney Noble.
[1:28:35] Speaker 34: A Mississippi police officer killed a one year old toddler
[1:28:38] Speaker 34: and seriously injured another person after shooting at a vehicle
[1:28:41] Speaker 34: while responding to a shoplifting call Sunday. The child, Cohen Wiley,
[1:28:46] Speaker 34: was in the car along with his mother and a
[1:28:47] Speaker 34: friend after they left the wal Mart and Senatobia. According
[1:28:51] Speaker 34: to investigators, the vehicle began driving towards the officers as
[1:28:54] Speaker 34: they attempted to stop it, and the officer reportedly then
[1:28:58] Speaker 34: shot at the vehicle as it almost hidden the officer.
[1:29:01] Speaker 34: The two women then drove to a hospital, where Colin
[1:29:03] Speaker 34: was pronounced dead. The Senatobia Police Department released a statement
[1:29:07] Speaker 34: saying the incident is under investigation and has been turned
[1:29:10] Speaker 34: over to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation. Golewen Wiley's family
[1:29:14] Speaker 34: and community advocates are now seeking legal representation. The daughter
[1:29:19] Speaker 34: of a black man killed on a hijacked Gwinnett County,
[1:29:22] Speaker 34: Georgia bus in twenty twenty four has filed a wrongful
[1:29:25] Speaker 34: death and lawsuit against Gwinnette County, the City of Atlanta,
[1:29:28] Speaker 34: and others. Jasmine Byrd claims the defendant should have done
[1:29:32] Speaker 34: more on that day to stop her father's death. Fifty
[1:29:35] Speaker 34: eight year old Ernest Bird Junior was shot when thirty
[1:29:37] Speaker 34: nine year old Joseph Greer allegedly hijacked a bus on
[1:29:41] Speaker 34: June twelfth, twenty twenty four, in downtown Atlanta, triggering a
[1:29:45] Speaker 34: forty five minute high speed chase that ended into Capp County.
[1:29:49] Speaker 34: Bird Junior and Greer got into an argument, and Greer
[1:29:52] Speaker 34: allegedly pulled out a gun before threatening all passengers, shooting
[1:29:55] Speaker 34: Bird and ordering the bus operator to drive at gunpoint.
[1:29:59] Speaker 34: The loss of name the bus operator, who was listed
[1:30:01] Speaker 34: as John Doe as one of the defendants, Burn and
[1:30:04] Speaker 34: her attorneys say the driver should have done more to
[1:30:06] Speaker 34: prevent things from escalating.
[1:30:08] Speaker 7: On the bus.
[1:30:09] Speaker 34: The lawsuit also states the name defendants failed to protect
[1:30:12] Speaker 34: the passengers and did not properly train personnel for passenger safety.
[1:30:17] Speaker 34: An investigation into a burning cross found in Chicago's Grant
[1:30:21] Speaker 34: Park has led to police detaining a person of interest,
[1:30:24] Speaker 34: although authorities have not confirmed an identity. Twenty one year
[1:30:27] Speaker 34: old college senior Merlin Lou told a Chicago news station
[1:30:31] Speaker 34: he was behind the June ninth incident just it came up.
[1:30:35] Speaker 31: To my head one day.
[1:30:37] Speaker 1: I wanted to.
[1:30:39] Speaker 31: I wanted to find something that I could do by myself,
[1:30:43] Speaker 31: like no organization, no friends.
[1:30:45] Speaker 27: No.
[1:30:46] Speaker 31: I didn't know about this historical relevance beforehand, but I
[1:30:49] Speaker 31: didn't know the severity. How racially motivated may seem from
[1:30:59] Speaker 31: what I did, because my protest has nothing to do
[1:31:03] Speaker 31: with the race, nothing new gender.
[1:31:04] Speaker 1: Should you have done it some other way?
[1:31:06] Speaker 2: Yeah?
[1:31:07] Speaker 1: Probably.
[1:31:09] Speaker 34: The FBI and the Chicago Police are still investigating the
[1:31:11] Speaker 34: incident and determining what charges, if any, will be filed.
[1:31:16] Speaker 34: The fast food chain Wingstop has fired one of its
[1:31:19] Speaker 34: Virginia employees after a racial slur appeared on a black
[1:31:22] Speaker 34: customer's order. Nita Sutherland went to Wingstop in Fairfax, Counting
[1:31:27] Speaker 34: on Friday to buy our seven year old grants on
[1:31:28] Speaker 34: the meal. She said she clearly provided her first name,
[1:31:32] Speaker 34: spelling it out as an Ita when placing the order,
[1:31:35] Speaker 34: but instead, she said that a racial slur appeared where
[1:31:39] Speaker 34: her name should have been on the order stickers attached
[1:31:41] Speaker 34: to her food backs. Nita also said the same slur
[1:31:44] Speaker 34: also appeared on the restaurant's food preparation progress screen. Sutherland
[1:31:48] Speaker 34: said the manager told her the employee didn't mean anything
[1:31:51] Speaker 34: by it, and that the employee returned to work without apologizing.
[1:31:55] Speaker 34: Sutherland spoke about how the incident made her feel as
[1:31:58] Speaker 34: a black woman.
[1:32:00] Speaker 4: I'm glad they're fired because they shouldn't have put it
[1:32:02] Speaker 4: on a screen. More than could it be. They didn't
[1:32:04] Speaker 4: try to help us, They would dismissive so and they
[1:32:08] Speaker 4: need to understand racial profiling and racism is not accepted.
[1:32:12] Speaker 34: Wing Stops corporate office set in a statement that the
[1:32:15] Speaker 34: company does not tolerate discrimination and hateful behavior. Sutherland said
[1:32:20] Speaker 34: she was pleased they fired the employee, but believes that
[1:32:23] Speaker 34: more should have been done in response to the incident.
[1:32:26] Speaker 34: And in Texas, a parole supervisor is out of a
[1:32:29] Speaker 34: job after she made a social media post supporting Carmelo
[1:32:32] Speaker 34: Anthony Donald Robinson, who has been a decade working for
[1:32:35] Speaker 34: the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, was fired on Friday
[1:32:39] Speaker 34: after responding to a post online wondering how Anthony was
[1:32:42] Speaker 34: doing since being convicted of the murder of Austin Metcalf,
[1:32:45] Speaker 34: she replied, I am a parole supervisor at Texas DCJ.
[1:32:50] Speaker 34: Carmelo will be okay. Robinson assisted that Anthony would be
[1:32:54] Speaker 34: protected while he served as thirty five year prison sentence.
[1:32:57] Speaker 34: She went on to share her thoughts on the Metcalf
[1:32:59] Speaker 34: family in the case, I, for one, don't give a
[1:33:02] Speaker 34: f about the family's loss.
[1:33:04] Speaker 2: It's about time these.
[1:33:05] Speaker 34: Effing biggots feel the pain that they have inflicted on
[1:33:08] Speaker 34: other groups of people since the beginning of time. Anthony,
[1:33:11] Speaker 34: who was black, was convicted earlier this month of the
[1:33:13] Speaker 34: killing of Metcalf, who was white, and a high school
[1:33:16] Speaker 34: track meet earlier last year. Both were seventeen years old
[1:33:21] Speaker 34: at the time. T DCJ terminator Robinson shortly after the comment,
[1:33:25] Speaker 34: saying TDCJ employment carries significant public trust and requires decisions
[1:33:31] Speaker 34: free from personal bias. And jay Z sparked criticism from
[1:33:36] Speaker 34: some fans after announcing a partnership with Target to celebrate
[1:33:39] Speaker 34: the thirtieth anniversary.
[1:33:40] Speaker 1: Of his Reasonable Doubt album.
[1:33:42] Speaker 34: Target will release special collectors editions of the final along
[1:33:46] Speaker 34: with collectibles now. The backlash comes from criticism Target faced
[1:33:51] Speaker 34: in twenty twenty five after scaling back several diversity, equity
[1:33:54] Speaker 34: and inclusion initiatives. Some social media users accuse jay Z
[1:33:58] Speaker 34: of steering black and assum we're spinning back to a
[1:34:01] Speaker 34: company that they still view as controversial. Others see the
[1:34:04] Speaker 34: partnership as a standard business deal.
[1:34:07] Speaker 1: Rolling back to you, all right, folks, we should have
[1:34:10] Speaker 1: catched the break down for Brittany Noble every day noon
[1:34:12] Speaker 1: Eastern on the Blackstar Network. The Breakdown with Britain Noble
[1:34:15] Speaker 1: every day noon Eastern on the Blackstar Network. Folks, police
[1:34:17] Speaker 1: brutality captured on the camera in Suffolk County, where police
[1:34:20] Speaker 1: chose excessive force on a Medford resident, Correg Manning a
[1:34:24] Speaker 1: traffic stop in New York on April second, and unmarked
[1:34:27] Speaker 1: police vehicle pulled Manning over for a routine traffic stop.
[1:34:30] Speaker 1: Suffolk County Police officers repeatedly asked force, licensed and registration,
[1:34:33] Speaker 1: but he refused, asking to speak to a supervisor. They refuse,
[1:34:37] Speaker 1: and then they get out of the car. After his
[1:34:40] Speaker 1: arrest of mug shots showed a visible gash across his forehead.
[1:34:42] Speaker 1: Manning's attorney augus the risk should have never been made.
[1:34:45] Speaker 1: Critics argument Manning should have just complied. Suffolk County Police
[1:34:49] Speaker 1: failed the comment due to pending litigation. Manning says he
[1:34:52] Speaker 1: will move forward with his lawsuit against the Suffolk County
[1:34:54] Speaker 1: Police Department roller video. Do we not have the audio? Okay? Uh?
[1:35:05] Speaker 1: So what was interesting about this? Again? You hear you
[1:35:10] Speaker 1: hear him?
[1:35:11] Speaker 11: Uh?
[1:35:12] Speaker 1: Specifically asking for he specifically asking for a supervisor.
[1:35:20] Speaker 11: Uh.
[1:35:20] Speaker 1: This is a video here that was actually posted on
[1:35:22] Speaker 1: the social Listen.
[1:35:24] Speaker 26: No, yeah, pay out of the car right now?
[1:35:30] Speaker 1: Why don't we have audio? No get out?
[1:35:32] Speaker 16: No?
[1:35:32] Speaker 5: Yeah, you're going on dress now I'm.
[1:35:34] Speaker 29: Going under arrest. Are you having fun? Punch me against Punch.
[1:35:46] Speaker 1: Me again, get out of the car. You get out
[1:35:48] Speaker 1: of the car. Punch me again.
[1:35:53] Speaker 29: Again.
[1:35:56] Speaker 1: This was unnecessary, unreasonable use of force. Turn Fred Brewington
[1:36:01] Speaker 1: says his client wins, wins the radio station and the videos.
[1:36:06] Speaker 1: It's crazy. Is I start this last week on social
[1:36:09] Speaker 1: media and I'm just sitting here trying to understand again
[1:36:15] Speaker 1: if the man ask for a supervisor, like, what's the problem?
[1:36:18] Speaker 1: And also was it that major? I understand. See, this
[1:36:27] Speaker 1: is what we keep talking about all the time. Filma.
[1:36:30] Speaker 1: Routine traffic stops lead to craziness, happens all the time.
[1:36:40] Speaker 20: You are absolutely correct, growing and I've had my fair
[1:36:43] Speaker 20: share of these kind of encounters with officers who escalate
[1:36:48] Speaker 20: because they don't care about de escalating when you ask
[1:36:52] Speaker 20: a simple question. In every policy manual four Police Officer
[1:36:59] Speaker 20: Police low Cation law enforcement Organizations, it says if they
[1:37:04] Speaker 20: ask for a supervisor, you have to call a supervisor.
[1:37:10] Speaker 20: So just by words along, they're not warrant that kind
[1:37:15] Speaker 20: of behavior from an officer. But what it shows is
[1:37:19] Speaker 20: his lack of temperament, his lack of self control, his
[1:37:23] Speaker 20: lack of professionalism, and it's his lack of decency because
[1:37:28] Speaker 20: anyone in that situation would not have went from zero
[1:37:34] Speaker 20: to one thousand. But he did that because a man
[1:37:38] Speaker 20: of an African American man acts for a supervisor.
[1:37:42] Speaker 2: How dare you ask.
[1:37:43] Speaker 7: For a supert I'm the one that's in authority. You
[1:37:46] Speaker 7: don't need myself.
[1:37:47] Speaker 20: Yeah, I do need your supervisors because of what you
[1:37:49] Speaker 20: did here, and that's what needs to be untrained in
[1:37:54] Speaker 20: the minds of these individuals. But it's honestly, it's too late.
[1:37:58] Speaker 20: We're going to continue to see this escal late as
[1:38:00] Speaker 20: we continue with this administration, and unfortunately we have to
[1:38:05] Speaker 20: continue to document these things. And now we become a
[1:38:10] Speaker 20: viral moment because we ask for a supervisor.
[1:38:15] Speaker 1: The news Day actually ran a video of him, and
[1:38:19] Speaker 1: so this is what the folks had news.
[1:38:21] Speaker 35: They reported, you're watching dash cam video from Craig Manning's car.
[1:38:27] Speaker 35: The Suffolk County man says he was beaten by five
[1:38:30] Speaker 35: Suffit police officers following a traffic stop. Manning is now
[1:38:34] Speaker 35: suing Suffolk Police in Suffolk County, claiming police misconduct, unreasonable
[1:38:38] Speaker 35: and unnecessary use of force, and a violation of his
[1:38:42] Speaker 35: constitutional rights.
[1:38:43] Speaker 29: I feared for my life and never once attempted to
[1:38:47] Speaker 29: harm an officer.
[1:38:48] Speaker 35: It happened on Horseblock Road in Farmingville on April second.
[1:38:51] Speaker 35: Manning says he was pulled over by two officers for
[1:38:54] Speaker 35: allegedly making an illegal left turn. Manning says he asked
[1:38:57] Speaker 35: to speak to a supervisor and refused to give the
[1:39:00] Speaker 35: officers his driver's license and registration.
[1:39:02] Speaker 29: I will never forget the look on the officer's face,
[1:39:06] Speaker 29: full of disgust. I was immediately fearful. As a black man,
[1:39:12] Speaker 29: I have seen an experience that looked before.
[1:39:17] Speaker 35: In the video, Officer Robert Refrano and officer Samantha skip
[1:39:20] Speaker 35: On repeatedly yelled stopped resisting at Manning. Both officers tried
[1:39:24] Speaker 35: to pull Manning out of the car, while Rafrano punched
[1:39:27] Speaker 35: him in the face several times. Three other cops who
[1:39:30] Speaker 35: were wrapped at the scene later also allegedly punched Manning.
[1:39:33] Speaker 29: I thought the abuse wouldn't stop.
[1:39:35] Speaker 35: In the police report, Rafrano said he quote struck the
[1:39:38] Speaker 35: subject in the head with the closed fist in order
[1:39:41] Speaker 35: to handcuff Manning. The report doesn't say anything about the
[1:39:44] Speaker 35: several punches he landed on Manning's head and face as
[1:39:46] Speaker 35: shown in the video. Manning was charged with resisting arrests
[1:39:50] Speaker 35: and traffic violations after the alleged assault.
[1:39:52] Speaker 7: The charges were later dismissed.
[1:39:54] Speaker 1: Okay, now his was crazy and he was offul you
[1:39:57] Speaker 1: pulled him over Ford in legal Uturn. That's all was,
[1:40:01] Speaker 1: That's all it was. If I'm a cop, my man's
[1:40:06] Speaker 1: got a dass cam video and he's recording on his phone.
[1:40:11] Speaker 1: That was his dad's cam video. That was managed dass
[1:40:14] Speaker 1: cam video. I'm like you see here to say, all right, man,
[1:40:18] Speaker 1: you want to waste time, We're gonna call supervisor. I'm not.
[1:40:21] Speaker 1: But see, this is what these crock cops do when
[1:40:24] Speaker 1: they cross the line. Happens over and over and over again.
[1:40:29] Speaker 5: Yeah, and an often it escalates into deadly situations, or
[1:40:33] Speaker 5: it can escalate into deadly situations. So everybody remember the
[1:40:37] Speaker 5: video you just saw. It wasn't just a police officer,
[1:40:41] Speaker 5: you know, inflicting this violence with a fist or an
[1:40:45] Speaker 5: open hand. He also had those handcuffs, and those handcuffs
[1:40:49] Speaker 5: were being used almost like brass knuckles. And that's the
[1:40:53] Speaker 5: reason you saw that gentleman being cut up like that.
[1:40:55] Speaker 5: So if you look right now, you can see the
[1:40:57] Speaker 5: handcuffs that are there that are open and they will
[1:41:00] Speaker 5: cut you up, so he could have lost his eye
[1:41:04] Speaker 5: or a number of other things that could happen in
[1:41:06] Speaker 5: this situation. All you have to do is de escalate,
[1:41:10] Speaker 5: wait for the supervisor. The supervisor will then, uh, you know,
[1:41:14] Speaker 5: direct folks on how to proceed. But once again, you know, mayors,
[1:41:21] Speaker 5: county commissioners, these different folks who are going to have
[1:41:25] Speaker 5: to be a part of paying these folks who have
[1:41:28] Speaker 5: been brutalized by by police. So there will be retribution
[1:41:33] Speaker 5: in the sense that this individual, of course, will have
[1:41:37] Speaker 5: will bring forward that civil case. And we've seen it
[1:41:41] Speaker 5: a few times across our country where you know, folks
[1:41:44] Speaker 5: are then your tax dollars because folks are not doing
[1:41:47] Speaker 5: the right thing, will you know, have to pay. So,
[1:41:52] Speaker 5: as I always say, if they want to do hateful things,
[1:41:55] Speaker 5: if they want to do things that are not a
[1:41:57] Speaker 5: part of the process, hit them into pockets, because that's
[1:42:00] Speaker 5: the only thing that seems to get their attention is
[1:42:03] Speaker 5: when they got to pay.
[1:42:06] Speaker 1: Randy.
[1:42:09] Speaker 6: It's unfortunate that we live in a country that's this violent,
[1:42:13] Speaker 6: where cops are supposed to be someone that we call
[1:42:16] Speaker 6: for help, and we certainly don't expect that we will
[1:42:18] Speaker 6: be attacked by him. There is no police academy that
[1:42:21] Speaker 6: is teaching that you punch someone in the face repeatedly to.
[1:42:25] Speaker 2: Get them to comply.
[1:42:27] Speaker 6: But what I will say is we have to be
[1:42:29] Speaker 6: realistic about the country we do live in.
[1:42:32] Speaker 2: And I love the fact that he had a car
[1:42:35] Speaker 2: camp and I.
[1:42:36] Speaker 6: Would have anybody who's able to do it. I would
[1:42:39] Speaker 6: absolutely have one in my car. These days, these people
[1:42:44] Speaker 6: are out of control. I mean, he couldn't even control
[1:42:47] Speaker 6: himself when he knew that he was being recorded. So
[1:42:51] Speaker 6: I think that we have to be absolutely proactive to
[1:42:54] Speaker 6: the real.
[1:42:55] Speaker 2: Situation that we have in this country. And if you're able,
[1:42:58] Speaker 2: not just have our car own, but I would always,
[1:43:02] Speaker 2: particularly black male, have it work. What happens in the car.
[1:43:05] Speaker 6: In my car is being recorded because it's sadly, it's
[1:43:09] Speaker 6: dangerous out there for us.
[1:43:11] Speaker 1: Yep. Indeed, indeed, all right, y'all, I gotta go to
[1:43:13] Speaker 1: it break. We'll be right back. Roland Martin unfiltered on

[1:43:29] Speaker 1: money off of your confusion. And look, we're used to this.
[1:43:32] Speaker 1: We're no strangers to systems that don't have our best
[1:43:34] Speaker 1: interest at heart, but we don't have to accept it

[1:43:40] Speaker 1: about Chapter. Their advisors are independent and honest. In fact,

[1:43:57] Speaker 1: If there's a better plan out there, they'll find it.

[1:44:02] Speaker 1: that too. There are no games. Just last year, people

[1:44:52] Speaker 8: So I studied hard and became the first African American
[1:44:55] Speaker 8: female and a sociologist hire at the Medical University of
[1:44:58] Speaker 8: South Carolina, opening in eighteen twenty four. And I always
[1:45:02] Speaker 8: say I was made into a doctor, but I was
[1:45:05] Speaker 8: born to be a mom. And as a new mom, wife's, sister, daughter,
[1:45:09] Speaker 8: and friend, I understand how frightening and medical crisis can be.

[1:46:04] Speaker 1: Far our executive producer, Proud Family. You're watching Roland Martin
[1:46:09] Speaker 1: Unfiltered Shoulday was the primary in Georgia. In of course,
[1:46:21] Speaker 1: there were a number of races that were in the runoff,
[1:46:25] Speaker 1: and so let's go to WSB TV's website. You see
[1:46:29] Speaker 1: here where first of all, a small percentage in in
[1:46:34] Speaker 1: the US Center race, Republicans Mike Collins Conerce and Mike
[1:46:36] Speaker 1: Collins is leading Derek Dooley, very narrow race. Here, we're
[1:46:41] Speaker 1: really paying attention to this governor's race because Rick Jackson,
[1:46:44] Speaker 1: self funded, really was pushed by Governor Brian Kemp. He
[1:46:49] Speaker 1: is winning against Bert Jones, who was endorsed by Donald Trump.
[1:46:54] Speaker 1: So that's really going to be a proxy as to
[1:46:57] Speaker 1: who holds more power in Georgia, Donald Trum, Governor Brian Kemp.
[1:47:02] Speaker 1: In the Secretary of States race, we all know Penny Reynolds.
[1:47:05] Speaker 1: She is leading Dana Barrett again only forty six of
[1:47:09] Speaker 1: two thousand, five hundred and eighty five precincts are reporting.
[1:47:12] Speaker 1: You've got house races that are going on as well.
[1:47:15] Speaker 1: On the Republican side, you have the Public Service Commission
[1:47:19] Speaker 1: also Lieutenant governor for Republicans Greg Dollzol, John Kennedy, Lieutenant
[1:47:24] Speaker 1: governor for Democrats Josh McClaren, and Nabila Parks was the
[1:47:30] Speaker 1: sister state school superintendent. You got the Fulton County Commissioner's
[1:47:35] Speaker 1: chair which is pitting incumbent Rob Pitts against County Commissioner
[1:47:39] Speaker 1: Moe Ivory, and early results shows Ivory is up against Pitts.
[1:47:45] Speaker 1: You've got the Insurance commissioner race Keisha Sean Waits versus
[1:47:49] Speaker 1: DeAndre Matthis Labor Commissioner Nicky Porcher versus Michelle Sanchez. I'm
[1:47:56] Speaker 1: watching the Secretary of State race, Tim Fleming versus Vernon Jones.
[1:48:00] Speaker 1: Vernon Jones is that black maggot who is one of
[1:48:03] Speaker 1: the most despicable individuals. I can't wait to see him
[1:48:06] Speaker 1: get his ass kicked in that race. And so absolutely
[1:48:10] Speaker 1: I don't give a damn by who win Secretary of
[1:48:12] Speaker 1: State for Republican side, but Vernon Jones, Yeah, I would
[1:48:17] Speaker 1: love to see that punk lose and then of course,
[1:48:19] Speaker 1: you have all these other local races, school board races,
[1:48:23] Speaker 1: commissioned races, all of these races here again, this is
[1:48:27] Speaker 1: the runoff races for the general election, and so we
[1:48:30] Speaker 1: will have the final results tomorrow right here on roland
[1:48:33] Speaker 1: Mark Filcher on the black Star Network. Time for shop
[1:48:36] Speaker 1: Blackstar Network dot Com. Okay, all right, then, so our
[1:48:46] Speaker 1: guest is not there yet, so let me do this here.
[1:48:52] Speaker 1: Let's let's go back and talk about the Georgia race here.
[1:48:56] Speaker 1: I'll start with you, Randy. Earlier, I was looking and
[1:49:01] Speaker 1: early poll out good news for former Atlanta Mary Kisha
[1:49:05] Speaker 1: Lance Bottoms. But again it's very early. At the bottom line,
[1:49:10] Speaker 1: is this for her to win? Of course she's running.
[1:49:14] Speaker 1: You got Senator John O'soft running for re election. They're
[1:49:18] Speaker 1: gonna need a massive, massive, massive turnout in Georgia for
[1:49:25] Speaker 1: her to win. Osoft of course one when they ran
[1:49:29] Speaker 1: in twenty and twenty in his early polls show it
[1:49:33] Speaker 1: shows she's up depending on who wins today. But it's
[1:49:36] Speaker 1: just early as hell, and at the end of the day,
[1:49:39] Speaker 1: it's gonna be ground game. If they points to ground
[1:49:42] Speaker 1: game and really being able to lock up votes outside
[1:49:47] Speaker 1: of the large metro areas in Georgia.
[1:49:50] Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, and it is early. But one thing I
[1:49:52] Speaker 2: will say about Jordan's that I had just watch them.
[1:49:55] Speaker 2: You know, over this last decade, they do show up,
[1:49:59] Speaker 2: they are in golf, and you don't know exactly.
[1:50:01] Speaker 6: What you're going to get because it's been a state
[1:50:04] Speaker 6: that has been changing, and so you don't know how
[1:50:07] Speaker 6: things are going to turn out. I mean, I always
[1:50:09] Speaker 6: keep my eyes on Georgia, and I do want to
[1:50:11] Speaker 6: add that I too, am hoping that Van loses and
[1:50:16] Speaker 6: loses sorely, loses.
[1:50:18] Speaker 2: Badly, gets his butt.
[1:50:19] Speaker 6: What is what I'm hoping for, which is what's been
[1:50:22] Speaker 6: happening to these black Republicans that sold their soul for Trump,
[1:50:27] Speaker 6: and Trump doesn't end up backing them up or supporting
[1:50:29] Speaker 6: them whatsoever. And they see that these Republicans also are
[1:50:33] Speaker 6: going to back them up because it's these people are
[1:50:36] Speaker 6: not for black people. So I don't know why they
[1:50:38] Speaker 6: think they're going to boot them in an office regardless
[1:50:40] Speaker 6: of how anti black these black people are.
[1:50:43] Speaker 2: But yeah, I'm very interested to continue watching these races.
[1:50:46] Speaker 1: Tonight, Mustafa.
[1:50:49] Speaker 5: I mean, for quite a while now, Georgia has been
[1:50:52] Speaker 5: an incredibly important state. Folks have been doing the work there.
[1:50:55] Speaker 5: We know that there needs to be more resources pow
[1:50:58] Speaker 5: it into the area. When I used to talk with
[1:51:00] Speaker 5: folks like Sandford Bishop excuse me, Congressman Sandford Bishop and
[1:51:04] Speaker 5: some other folks, he would always say, you know, we've
[1:51:06] Speaker 5: got to focus on these rural communities or black folks
[1:51:10] Speaker 5: or all over the state who often don't have someone
[1:51:13] Speaker 5: come have a conversation, and other members in the rural
[1:51:16] Speaker 5: community as well. So people who are serious, let me
[1:51:20] Speaker 5: say it again, people who are serious about winning in Georgia. Yes,
[1:51:24] Speaker 5: we got to make sure that you hold on to
[1:51:27] Speaker 5: those urban strongholds, but you got to be out there
[1:51:30] Speaker 5: in rural communities also listening to what their sets of
[1:51:34] Speaker 5: concerns are and what their priorities are and being able
[1:51:38] Speaker 5: to address that as well. So it's going to be
[1:51:40] Speaker 5: an exciting time not only watching the results come in,
[1:51:44] Speaker 5: you know, over the next twenty four hours as people
[1:51:46] Speaker 5: count those all up, but also getting prepared for November
[1:51:49] Speaker 5: and then of course in twenty twenty eight as well.
[1:51:52] Speaker 5: Georgia will play a critical role in helping to, you know,
[1:51:56] Speaker 5: determine the direction that this country is going to go.
[1:51:58] Speaker 1: Now, Thelma, all right, we're gonna have thelma. Okay, all right, folks.
[1:52:10] Speaker 1: So also this just in if you want to know
[1:52:12] Speaker 1: how crazy this administration is. And when I say crazy,
[1:52:17] Speaker 1: just absolutely positively insane. Elon Musk Data Center in Mississippi's
[1:52:26] Speaker 1: being sued. Okay, The Trump Department of Justice wants to
[1:52:33] Speaker 1: jump into the lawsuit, citing national security concerns, saying Elon
[1:52:38] Speaker 1: Musk company played a crucial role in the Iran War.
[1:52:41] Speaker 1: It also argued it is the authority to stop environmental
[1:52:44] Speaker 1: lawsuits brought by citizens who stava, what the hell I mean,
[1:52:50] Speaker 1: they're so so here. So basically, the Trump Department of
[1:52:55] Speaker 1: Justice now works for Elon Musk. This is the lead
[1:52:59] Speaker 1: in the New York Times. In an unusually aggressive move,
[1:53:03] Speaker 1: the Justice Department told a federal court in Mississippi the
[1:53:06] Speaker 1: Elon Musk Artificial Intelligence Company x AI has the right
[1:53:11] Speaker 1: to run dozens of polluting gas burning turbines in the
[1:53:15] Speaker 1: state the spot despite not having permits for them. The
[1:53:20] Speaker 1: soup was brought by the NAACP, saying the client the
[1:53:22] Speaker 1: turbines violate the Clean Air Act, and they're like, yeah,
[1:53:26] Speaker 1: he can go ahead and do it.
[1:53:29] Speaker 5: Well, no, he's not supposed to be able to do it,
[1:53:32] Speaker 5: and legally, uh, it is against the law, is against
[1:53:35] Speaker 5: the rules of the Clean Air Act, and folks should understand.
[1:53:39] Speaker 5: So when you see these AI data centers, you know
[1:53:42] Speaker 5: they're often you know, powered by natural gas or sometimes
[1:53:48] Speaker 5: there's a couple of other fossil fuels that are used
[1:53:50] Speaker 5: in that space. We're trying to get more if you're
[1:53:52] Speaker 5: going to have them using solar or wind or a
[1:53:55] Speaker 5: number of other things. But there's huge amounts of pollution
[1:53:58] Speaker 5: that's going into these communities and it is to be regulated.
[1:54:02] Speaker 1: So no.
[1:54:02] Speaker 5: And the other part is the Department of Justice is
[1:54:05] Speaker 5: supposed to be defending the people of the United States
[1:54:09] Speaker 5: and not these corporations. But we know that we are
[1:54:12] Speaker 5: living in a time when you know, the branches of
[1:54:16] Speaker 5: government are no longer doing their job. They're doing the
[1:54:19] Speaker 5: bidding of this administration. They're doing the bidding of corporations,
[1:54:23] Speaker 5: and folks need to be able to make sure that
[1:54:25] Speaker 5: they are speaking out and letting their elected officials know
[1:54:29] Speaker 5: how they feel about this. Because the states have their
[1:54:32] Speaker 5: own own laws and they also, you know, do their
[1:54:36] Speaker 5: own sets of inspections. And as you said, the most
[1:54:38] Speaker 5: important thing there was that you got to have a permit,
[1:54:42] Speaker 5: and if you don't have that then things should be
[1:54:45] Speaker 5: shut down.
[1:54:47] Speaker 1: Randy The New York Times said the suit threatens that
[1:54:50] Speaker 1: The dj said the suit threatens national security by quotes
[1:54:53] Speaker 1: seeking to shut off the power supply for our official
[1:54:58] Speaker 1: intelligence innovation that supports the Partartment of Wards military operations.
[1:55:02] Speaker 1: According to the memo, which was signed by Stanley Woodward,
[1:55:05] Speaker 1: Junior Social Attorney General and the number three official of
[1:55:08] Speaker 1: the department. The memo also argued that this was like
[1:55:12] Speaker 1: why these people on crack. The memo also argued that
[1:55:16] Speaker 1: the federal government should have unchallenged authority to stop environmental
[1:55:23] Speaker 1: lawsuits brought by private groups or individuals. What the hell?
[1:55:30] Speaker 2: That's it right there? That is it right there?
[1:55:33] Speaker 6: They believe Trump believes that he should have unchallenged authority.
[1:55:40] Speaker 6: I can't believe they're saying it aloud. I can't believe
[1:55:43] Speaker 6: they're putting it in print. But they absolutely have run
[1:55:46] Speaker 6: this government as if no one should question them. They
[1:55:49] Speaker 6: should be able to do what they want, and what
[1:55:51] Speaker 6: they want is to place these data centers, typically in
[1:55:56] Speaker 6: neighborhoods where they're us living there right because they're terrible
[1:56:01] Speaker 6: for the environment.
[1:56:02] Speaker 2: They pull on the energy sources.
[1:56:04] Speaker 5: They pull on the on the.
[1:56:05] Speaker 6: Water supply and they create a terrible pollution for us.
[1:56:10] Speaker 6: And so of course they're going to put these centers
[1:56:13] Speaker 6: and neighborhoods and hurt our environments as they always have.
[1:56:17] Speaker 6: I mean, Nostapaca speaks far more about the you know,
[1:56:20] Speaker 6: environmental injustices that we must.
[1:56:22] Speaker 2: Face, but they don't want to be challenged.
[1:56:24] Speaker 6: They're I mean it, I mean, it is so frightening
[1:56:28] Speaker 6: to me that there are no there are no breaks
[1:56:32] Speaker 6: on this out of control car, which is exactly what
[1:56:35] Speaker 6: the Justice Department is supposed to be. That is what
[1:56:38] Speaker 6: they're supposed to serve, the arm that is supposed to
[1:56:41] Speaker 6: regulate the other arms. But they just are not doing
[1:56:44] Speaker 6: it because they're like they're doing the bidding of Trump.
[1:56:47] Speaker 6: And so everyone should be quite terrified right now. But
[1:56:49] Speaker 6: it does not mean that we should be inactive. We
[1:56:51] Speaker 6: should continue to make noise, be loud. And I am
[1:56:53] Speaker 6: happy that people are still you know, putting out these lawsuits.
[1:56:57] Speaker 2: Sue them, keep suing them.
