[0:56] Speaker 1: news this week, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta yesterday informed the
[1:00] Speaker 1: Supreme Court that the Executive Magistrate who issued notice to
[1:03] Speaker 1: student and SFI leader Akshat Tripathi in violation of the
[1:07] Speaker 1: top court's orders had been suspended from office. The notice
[1:11] Speaker 1: served on Tripathi last week for participating in the July
[1:14] Speaker 1: 20th Kokro Janta Party CJP protest at Jantar Mantar was
[1:18] Speaker 1: later withdrawn. On Wednesday, the patter was raised before the bench,
[1:23] Speaker 1: also comprising Justices Joy Mala Bakshi and V. Mohana, prompting
[1:26] Speaker 1: the CGI to ask, how did the magistrate dare to
[1:29] Speaker 1: issue a notice when we have already annulled by September
[1:33] Speaker 1: 1st order and we have directed that on the already
[1:37] Speaker 1: registered FIRs, no action will be taken? Meanwhile, following a
[1:44] Speaker 1: backlash from the Shiv Sena and other political parties, a
[1:47] Speaker 1: Meera Bhayandar school, managed by the wife of Bhatajanta Party
[1:51] Speaker 1: MLA Narendra Mehta, withdrew the diktat asking students to avoid onion, garlic,

[2:10] Speaker 1: had also mentioned in the circular that the canteen would

[2:38] Speaker 1: airlines to conduct a one-time test for psychoactive substances on
[2:42] Speaker 1: all pilots by July next year, the Indian Express has learned.
[2:45] Speaker 1: Sources said the direction to airlines was issued in August
[2:48] Speaker 1: and testing has already begun. Indian airlines are estimated to
[2:51] Speaker 1: have close to 14,000 pilots. Following the 4th of August
[2:54] Speaker 1: incident involving the Phuket-Delhi flight and before the DGCAI direction,
[2:58] Speaker 1: the Air India group had voluntarily initiated one-time random drug
[3:02] Speaker 1: tests on an estimated 5,000 pilots employed by Air India
[3:06] Speaker 1: and Air India Express. And in the end, in news
[3:13] Speaker 1: making global headlines, Iran is increasingly relying on the Houthis
[3:16] Speaker 1: in Yemen and aligned militias in Iraq to pressure Saudi
[3:20] Speaker 1: Arabia and other US allies in the Gulf. According to
[3:22] Speaker 1: regional officials and experts, in July, Saudi Arabia and the

[3:35] Speaker 1: Two Saudi officials and a senior Iraqi security official told
[3:39] Speaker 1: Reuters that Houthi representatives had worked from an operations room
[3:43] Speaker 1: run by Iraqi militias to plan and carry out a
[3:46] Speaker 1: two-day drone attack. Officials from Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces denied involvement.
