[0:00] Speaker 1: Here we go.
[0:01] Speaker 2: Last break of the day with the man of the hour.
[0:05] Speaker 1: The last four hours, to be exact, the one and
[0:07] Speaker 1: only Steve Harvey. Step on up to the mic for
[0:10] Speaker 1: your closing. You know what?
[0:12] Speaker 2: I just want to talk to you all about something
[0:15] Speaker 2: about other people as well as yourself. I want you
[0:20] Speaker 2: to realize something that you got to just hang in there, folks.
[0:26] Speaker 2: You just got to hang in there because where you
[0:28] Speaker 2: are is so very temporary. It matters not where you are.
[0:33] Speaker 2: It only matters where you're headed. You're going somewhere. Remember
[0:38] Speaker 2: that everything you're going through is God preparing you for
[0:41] Speaker 2: what you ask for.
[0:43] Speaker 1: But you're in the process. You are in the midst
[0:47] Speaker 1: of being processed. All of us are.
[0:50] Speaker 2: If you are trying to get to the next level,
[0:53] Speaker 2: you have to be processed into that next level. You
[0:56] Speaker 2: can't just go to the next level. You can't go
[0:58] Speaker 2: to the 10th grade without finishing the ninth grade. You
[1:02] Speaker 2: can't go to college without being in with a high
[1:04] Speaker 2: school diploma.
[1:06] Speaker 1: You can't.
[1:08] Speaker 2: You just you got to go through the process.
[1:13] Speaker 1: You know, so what I'm what I'm getting at is this.
[1:18] Speaker 2: Don't get down on yourself because you're going through a
[1:22] Speaker 2: period in your life. And this period is kind of
[1:25] Speaker 2: challenging for you like it is right now. There are
[1:29] Speaker 2: a lot of people right now going through some challenging
[1:31] Speaker 2: moments in their life. And it's getting to be a
[1:34] Speaker 2: little bit daunting at times. And you're starting to feel
[1:36] Speaker 2: a little bit overwhelmed by it all because you're sitting
[1:39] Speaker 2: there and you're thinking, man, I don't have enough of this. Lord,
[1:42] Speaker 2: where you at? I don't got to learn this lesson
[1:46] Speaker 2: no more. If you could just come on, I got it.
[1:50] Speaker 1: Fix me.
[1:51] Speaker 2: Rescue me. Deliver me. Give me the blessing that I've
[1:55] Speaker 2: been praying for. You keep asking and then you start
[1:58] Speaker 2: to get a little defeated because it ain't happening in
[2:01] Speaker 2: your time. That happens to you. Well, it happens to
[2:06] Speaker 2: other people too. And you got to be careful how
[2:09] Speaker 2: you treat other people because they may not always be
[2:12] Speaker 2: in that position for long. Do you know how many
[2:15] Speaker 2: people I know who just did me wrong when I
[2:19] Speaker 2: was on the way coming up? You have any idea
[2:23] Speaker 2: the number of people who were discouraging to me on
[2:26] Speaker 2: my way up?
[2:26] Speaker 1: They had no idea.
[2:28] Speaker 2: You know how many people bad mouth me, bad mouth
[2:31] Speaker 2: you on your way up?
[2:33] Speaker 1: They don't have any idea who you really are.
[2:37] Speaker 2: Do you know how many people throwing dirt on you,
[2:40] Speaker 2: thinking they bringing you harm?
[2:42] Speaker 1: They don't even.
[2:43] Speaker 2: Realize what they're doing. They don't know. Because you know
[2:47] Speaker 2: what they're doing? They're judging you. They're judging you based
[2:52] Speaker 2: on a season. They're judging you based on a period
[2:59] Speaker 2: that you're in now. You got to be careful when
[3:03] Speaker 2: you're judging people because of a period they're going through.
[3:06] Speaker 2: Because that period is just a season. This down moment
[3:10] Speaker 2: that you have, it's just a season. And just like
[3:13] Speaker 2: the seasons change, this too shall change. Just like seasons pass,
[3:18] Speaker 2: this too shall pass. Somebody sent me something one day
[3:23] Speaker 2: that said, never judge somebody based on a season. And
[3:29] Speaker 2: I started thinking about it and they went on. So
[3:32] Speaker 2: I kept reading what they said and they were just
[3:34] Speaker 2: talking about it, man. It was so true. They said
[3:37] Speaker 2: one season changed. David was a shepherd. But the next season,
[3:44] Speaker 2: he was a king. But you know how they played
[3:47] Speaker 2: David on the way up? Oh, they wouldn't volunteer David
[3:53] Speaker 2: for nothing. They wouldn't suggest David for nothing. He was
[3:56] Speaker 2: just a little shepherd boy. David can't be the one
[3:59] Speaker 2: to go down there and get that giant. We ain't
[4:01] Speaker 2: even going to bring David up. David went from a
[4:04] Speaker 2: shepherd to a king. One season, Ruth was working in
[4:09] Speaker 2: the field. The next season, she was owning the same field.
[4:17] Speaker 2: It's just what a guy said. It's just biblical, you know,
[4:21] Speaker 2: stories that's out there that really, if you're a person
[4:24] Speaker 2: of faith, it matters to you. If you're not a
[4:26] Speaker 2: person of faith, this is not for you. But it's okay.
[4:29] Speaker 2: I didn't know you was listening. One season, Mordecai was
[4:35] Speaker 2: sitting outside the king's palace. The next season, he was
[4:39] Speaker 2: inside the palace. We serve a God that turns things around.
[4:49] Speaker 2: And he is the God of unmerited favor. We are
[4:54] Speaker 2: all privy to his unmerited favor. Because he passes it
[5:01] Speaker 2: out to no particular person.
[5:04] Speaker 1: We have all been privy to this unmerited favor.
[5:12] Speaker 2: You know how many of us can tell you something
[5:14] Speaker 2: that happened to us that we just can't explain? That
[5:17] Speaker 2: was favorable. You know, when it looked like the verdict
[5:20] Speaker 2: was going one way and it turned around and went
[5:22] Speaker 2: another way, that was favor. When it looked like you
[5:25] Speaker 2: wasn't going to make it, but here you are now,
[5:27] Speaker 2: that was favor. When they wrote you off and said
[5:30] Speaker 2: you was never going to be nothing, but you turned
[5:32] Speaker 2: out to be something anyhow, that was favor. When they
[5:36] Speaker 2: laughed at you with your decision and now they're looking
[5:39] Speaker 2: at you at that same decision they laughed at and
[5:42] Speaker 2: they're shaking their head, that was favor. When they tried
[5:47] Speaker 2: to destroy you. When your enemies came for you. And
[5:51] Speaker 2: they couldn't do nothing with you or about you. That
[5:54] Speaker 2: was favor. God's unmerited favor. Quit tripping about the season
[6:00] Speaker 2: you in. Because you never know. Your season could turn
[6:04] Speaker 2: around tomorrow. But if you quit, you'll never find out.
[6:07] Speaker 2: Hang in there.
