[0:00] Speaker 1: Come on. Do your thing. Uh-huh. I sure will. Good morning, everybody.
[0:07] Speaker 1: You all listen to the voice. Come on. Dig me now.
[0:09] Speaker 1: One and only.
[0:10] Speaker 2: Uh-huh.
[0:10] Speaker 1: Steve Harvey. Man, got a radio show. Yeah, I do.
[0:17] Speaker 2: Man, God been so good to me over the years.
[0:21] Speaker 2: In spite of all the mistakes I've made. In spite
[0:24] Speaker 2: of all the dirt I've done to myself. I'm talking
[0:29] Speaker 2: about when he had no one, I was wrong. His
[0:32] Speaker 2: grace and mercy has forgiven me for all of my sins.
[0:38] Speaker 2: God can forgive you of all of your sins. Everything
[0:43] Speaker 2: you've done. God can forgive you. He can wipe your
[0:47] Speaker 2: slate clean. Now, you might have some, you know, things
[0:51] Speaker 2: you got to deal with because of some of your actions.
[0:54] Speaker 2: Understand that. But you can wipe your slate clean with
[0:59] Speaker 2: God and start again. You can repent. God has mercy
[1:03] Speaker 2: and grace. You could be forgiven by God. Now, people,
[1:06] Speaker 2: that's another story. Some people may never forgive you for it.
[1:10] Speaker 2: You've heard them all. Or maybe they're accusing you of
[1:13] Speaker 2: doing something else. But, you know, they may never forgive you.
[1:16] Speaker 2: But God is in the redemption business, man. God will
[1:21] Speaker 2: forgive you for every sin you've ever committed. But you
[1:25] Speaker 2: got to want forgiveness now. And then you got to
[1:27] Speaker 2: come correct. Because what you can't do is you can't
[1:30] Speaker 2: shoot him to crap now. You can say that conversation
[1:34] Speaker 2: with him. You know, whatever you told your lawyer, whatever
[1:38] Speaker 2: you told the victims, whatever you told, whatever the story
[1:43] Speaker 2: is you got going. If it ain't the truth, you
[1:46] Speaker 2: can say that with God.
[1:47] Speaker 1: Because please know he know. And he know your heart.
[1:51] Speaker 2: He know if you're trying to manipulate somebody just for
[1:54] Speaker 2: the system, if you're trying to say this just so
[1:56] Speaker 2: you can get.
[1:57] Speaker 1: Out, he know all of that.
[1:58] Speaker 2: So if you're planning on shucking him and jiving him,
[2:01] Speaker 2: save your breath before you wind up digging yourself in
[2:04] Speaker 2: a deeper hole. Just let me give you that piece
[2:07] Speaker 2: of advice because he ain't nothing to play with.
[2:09] Speaker 1: He's too great to be played with. And so with
[2:13] Speaker 1: that in mind, I want.
[2:13] Speaker 2: To share some positive stuff with you this morning, man.
[2:16] Speaker 2: I want to say this. I want to remind you.
[2:19] Speaker 2: Not to let your circumstance and your situations dictate your
[2:24] Speaker 2: future or your results. I'm going to say this again.
[2:28] Speaker 2: This is important information, man. Don't let your circumstance and
[2:33] Speaker 2: situations dictate your future or your results. Do you know
[2:40] Speaker 2: that in order to get a different future or some
[2:44] Speaker 2: different results, you control that entire situation?
[2:48] Speaker 1: It is you. It is your thoughts that control the
[2:51] Speaker 1: entire situation.
[2:53] Speaker 2: It is how you look at the situation that will
[2:56] Speaker 2: determine how the situation is for you. See, the same
[3:00] Speaker 2: situation can be totally different for two different people because
[3:04] Speaker 2: you can say you look at the examples of history.
[3:06] Speaker 1: Just just look, look in your neighborhood.
[3:08] Speaker 2: How can there was a book that a guy wrote
[3:11] Speaker 2: one time who had the name?
[3:13] Speaker 1: He had a name.
[3:14] Speaker 2: And he did some research and he found a guy
[3:17] Speaker 2: that grew up at the same age in the same
[3:20] Speaker 2: neighborhood as him with the exact same name. He went
[3:25] Speaker 2: on to become a corporate CEO. The other man was
[3:28] Speaker 2: an inmate and they had the same name, grew up
[3:34] Speaker 2: in the same neighborhood. They were both brothers, you know, not,
[3:39] Speaker 2: I'm just saying brothers, men. And, and they grew and
[3:43] Speaker 2: they went to the right because, How can two people,
[3:46] Speaker 2: the same situation, and the results turn out so different?
[3:50] Speaker 2: It is because of the thought process of one was
[3:53] Speaker 2: completely different from.
[3:54] Speaker 1: The thought process of the other. You control it.
[3:57] Speaker 2: You don't have to let your circumstances and your situations
[4:00] Speaker 2: dictate your future or your results. Here's the way it works.
[4:05] Speaker 2: This is so you can understand this. Your mind is
[4:09] Speaker 2: the controlling factor of your thoughts. Your thoughts are the
[4:14] Speaker 2: controlling factor of your outcome. The Bible says a man
[4:19] Speaker 2: is as he thinketh. Please don't short play this scripture
[4:23] Speaker 2: here because this one is the real deal. This is
[4:27] Speaker 2: the basis of every self-improvement book you'll ever read. It's
[4:32] Speaker 2: already written in the Bible. The Bible has all the
[4:35] Speaker 2: information you need. But in case you need a little
[4:37] Speaker 2: bit of clarity in some simple modern day language, then
[4:40] Speaker 2: they have self-improvement books.
[4:42] Speaker 1: They are all based on biblical scripture. A man is
[4:46] Speaker 1: as he thinketh.
[4:47] Speaker 2: That's why Norman Vincent Peale wrote the book, The Power
[4:50] Speaker 2: of Positive Thinking. That's why a book came out called
[4:54] Speaker 2: The Magic of Thinking Big. That's why a book came
[4:57] Speaker 2: out called Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. All
[5:02] Speaker 2: these titles that I've read that have mattered in my
[5:05] Speaker 2: life the most, these three major books that I've read,
[5:07] Speaker 2: they all say one thing, think, thinking, thoughts, because that's
[5:12] Speaker 2: what controls the outcome.
[5:15] Speaker 1: Your brain.
[5:16] Speaker 2: works one of two ways. It works positive or negative.
[5:25] Speaker 2: It works good, which is under the column of positive,
[5:28] Speaker 2: or it'll work evil, which is under the column of negative.
[5:32] Speaker 2: It will have faith, which is under the column of positive,
[5:36] Speaker 2: or you will operate in fear, which is in the
[5:40] Speaker 2: column of negative. That is the only way your mind works.
[5:44] Speaker 2: Your mind is a factory that's comprised of workers. Those
[5:49] Speaker 2: workers are controlled by two formants, formant positive and formant negative.
[5:55] Speaker 2: But guess what? The CEO of the company, the head man,
[6:00] Speaker 2: the boss is you. You come to work in the
[6:04] Speaker 2: morning and you say, man, today is a great day.
[6:08] Speaker 2: I'm going to take steps towards brightening my future. I'm
[6:12] Speaker 2: going to take another step into making that dream come
[6:15] Speaker 2: true that I've been thinking about. I'm going to take
[6:18] Speaker 2: another step forward in the development and the changing of
[6:21] Speaker 2: my life in a positive.
[6:22] Speaker 1: Good direction.
[6:24] Speaker 2: If you come to work and say that every day
[6:26] Speaker 2: as the CEO, the boss, the foreman can only obey you.
[6:31] Speaker 2: So what you just said was a series of positive statements,
[6:35] Speaker 2: then forming positive steps to the forefront. He said, I
[6:39] Speaker 2: got you, boss, right away. He turns around, he blows
[6:42] Speaker 2: the whistle. He alerts all the workers in the factory.
[6:46] Speaker 2: Today is a good day. Today we will take steps
[6:49] Speaker 2: towards our future. Today, we are putting ourselves on track
[6:53] Speaker 2: to get a little bit closer to making our.
[6:54] Speaker 1: Dreams come true.
[6:56] Speaker 2: Today, we will be assembling all the things we need
[7:00] Speaker 2: to make our dreams come true and our life better
[7:02] Speaker 2: in the right direction.
[7:04] Speaker 1: Everybody, break.
[7:05] Speaker 2: The workers in the factory turn around and manufacture thoughts
[7:10] Speaker 2: to justify the orders given by the boss, which is you.
[7:16] Speaker 2: You are the CEO of your corporation. If you don't
[7:20] Speaker 2: own nothing else, you own everything that's going on between
[7:23] Speaker 2: your two ears. You are the CEO of that corporation.
[7:27] Speaker 2: If that corporation is a good one, it's because you
[7:30] Speaker 2: set it up that way. If your corporation is a
[7:32] Speaker 2: bad one, it's because you set it up that day.
[7:35] Speaker 2: If you're pushing towards your dreams and you see the
[7:39] Speaker 2: possibility of things happening in your life, it's because you
[7:42] Speaker 2: as the CEO set it up that way. If you
[7:44] Speaker 2: ain't got nothing popping, if you just want to be
[7:47] Speaker 2: a criminal taking stuff from people, throwing your life out
[7:49] Speaker 2: the window, you're going to be an inmate. You're going
[7:51] Speaker 2: to be sitting out there and you're going to be
[7:52] Speaker 2: mad at everybody. You ain't got nobody to be mad
[7:54] Speaker 2: at but you. You understand what I'm telling you this morning. Uh-huh.
[7:59] Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
