[0:00] Speaker 1: Here we are, guys. Last break of the day. This
[0:04] Speaker 1: has been a great show. Thank you guys for joining
[0:06] Speaker 1: us as always. Steve, we kind of talked about this earlier.
[0:12] Speaker 1: Junior in sports talked about Ryan Clark getting fired from
[0:15] Speaker 1: ESPN and he congratulated him on his new job. And
[0:20] Speaker 1: you said that you had spoken to Ryan Clark.
[0:23] Speaker 2: Well, you know, I text him, you know, we kind
[0:26] Speaker 2: of stay in touch with each other a little bit
[0:27] Speaker 2: ever since I did the Pivot podcast. Yeah. You know,
[0:31] Speaker 2: Ryan Clark is an example for everybody, including myself. I've
[0:39] Speaker 2: been an example in this regard to several people. I've
[0:45] Speaker 2: watched some things happen in my lifetime that was unexplainable.
[0:52] Speaker 2: And then When it got explained, it was nothing but God.
[0:58] Speaker 2: You know, and it's sort of crazy, man. When something
[1:01] Speaker 2: happens in my life that goes well, and I don't
[1:05] Speaker 2: know how it went well, and I have an unexplainable
[1:09] Speaker 2: explanation for it, that's usually God. And, you know, when
[1:15] Speaker 2: Ryan got fired from ESPN, he was upset about it.
[1:20] Speaker 2: He got emotional on a couple of interviews and he
[1:22] Speaker 2: was talking about it and everything like that. And I'm
[1:25] Speaker 2: not going to share what we text, but I text
[1:28] Speaker 2: him after that. And then I look up and all
[1:32] Speaker 2: of a sudden, Ryan, who got fired from ESPN, has
[1:37] Speaker 2: his own studio, his own sports show, and it's on Netflix.
[1:44] Speaker 2: And he's got a channel online. all his own that
[1:47] Speaker 2: he owns. Did you see how fast God can work? Now,
[1:55] Speaker 2: sometimes God's timing is not the way we want it.
[1:59] Speaker 2: I'm sure when it first happened to Ryan, that wasn't
[2:01] Speaker 2: the perfect timing. Because, you know, man, a lot of times, y'all,
[2:05] Speaker 2: when you lose something, when something gets stripped away from you,
[2:11] Speaker 2: when you're suddenly given some bad news, when you get canceled,
[2:16] Speaker 2: or whatever, or you get fired, or you get a
[2:18] Speaker 2: pink slip on your job, it's a little shocking. And
[2:24] Speaker 2: it'll throw you into something. And I don't know how
[2:26] Speaker 2: long it takes most people to gather, but for a
[2:29] Speaker 2: couple of days, man, you're kind of thrown in a
[2:33] Speaker 2: dizzy spin. But, and sometimes that spin that you stay in,
[2:40] Speaker 2: it lasts a little bit longer than you want it to.
[2:43] Speaker 2: Sometimes you want the feeling to go away a lot faster.
[2:49] Speaker 2: I'm tired of feeling unsure about my future. I'm tired
[2:52] Speaker 2: of not knowing what my next move is. I'm tired
[2:56] Speaker 2: of not having the answer. I don't know how I'm
[2:59] Speaker 2: going to feed my family. I don't know, and you
[3:02] Speaker 2: know so many people counting on you. I just don't
[3:05] Speaker 2: know what my next move is, Lord. And sometimes you
[3:08] Speaker 2: stay in that situation a little bit longer than you
[3:11] Speaker 2: want to. And then sometime God snaps you up and
[3:15] Speaker 2: makes the change so quickly. But can I tell you something?
[3:20] Speaker 2: A lot of how fast the change come will have
[3:22] Speaker 2: a lot to do with your attitude about what has happened.
[3:26] Speaker 2: If you sit in a situation that has happened to
[3:28] Speaker 2: you and you bury yourself under it, it's going to
[3:32] Speaker 2: take a longer time for you to come out of it.
[3:35] Speaker 2: What you have to do when it happens to you,
[3:39] Speaker 2: the bad things in life, You got to be grateful.
[3:43] Speaker 2: You got to show gratitude that it could have went worse,
[3:48] Speaker 2: that it could have happened in a place where you
[3:50] Speaker 2: didn't have no recourse. But as long as you got God,
[3:53] Speaker 2: you have recourse. So what you have to do when
[3:56] Speaker 2: it happens to you badly, I know it's going to
[3:58] Speaker 2: throw you into something. I've been thrown into something myself.
[4:01] Speaker 2: I can't count the times in my life it's happened.
[4:04] Speaker 2: But I always manage to gather myself and I go
[4:08] Speaker 2: to God and I ask him for clarity. I ask
[4:11] Speaker 2: him for understanding. I ask him for peace of mind.
[4:16] Speaker 2: Show me what it is you're trying to teach me.
[4:19] Speaker 2: Because whenever you go through something like a Ryan Clark
[4:23] Speaker 2: went through, or you on your job, or you get
[4:26] Speaker 2: a notice from a homeowners association, or just you get
[4:29] Speaker 2: a notice down at the school about your child, or
[4:32] Speaker 2: you find out that your company's closing, or you find
[4:35] Speaker 2: out that the bank went out, whatever the situation is,
[4:39] Speaker 2: you got to hang in there Because there is a
[4:44] Speaker 2: message in it for you. There is a learning curve
[4:48] Speaker 2: in it for you. There is a growth spurt in
[4:52] Speaker 2: it for you. God never allows anything to happen for you,
[4:56] Speaker 2: those that are believers, that does not work out for
[4:59] Speaker 2: your good. But you got to be looking for it.
[5:02] Speaker 2: You got to get watchful, y'all. You can't sit there
[5:05] Speaker 2: and wallow in it. Oh, woe is me. Oh, I
[5:08] Speaker 2: can't believe this happened. It did. It did. It really did.
[5:13] Speaker 2: So you can stop the I can't believe it because
[5:16] Speaker 2: it just did. Look, man, I've gotten some news recently, man,
[5:20] Speaker 2: that will shake most people. I've gone through some stuff
[5:23] Speaker 2: recently that will shake most people. But my faith in
[5:26] Speaker 2: God kept me, man. Now, I got some news that
[5:28] Speaker 2: kind of threw me a little bit, but I had
[5:30] Speaker 2: to gather myself. See, when God allows a door to
[5:36] Speaker 2: be closed... It is not the finality for you. Do
[5:44] Speaker 2: you not understand that that's a sign from God that
[5:48] Speaker 2: he will, and look, and when the door closes, God
[5:50] Speaker 2: don't want you standing there beating on the door. Open
[5:52] Speaker 2: this door back up. Let's get a write-in campaign. Let's
[5:55] Speaker 2: keep my show on the air. Let's do this. Let's
[5:58] Speaker 2: all listen. That has never worked. What God wants you
[6:03] Speaker 2: to do, step away from that door and walk up
[6:07] Speaker 2: the hall. Because if you walk up the hall, God
[6:11] Speaker 2: always has more doors. God has never left you. He
[6:16] Speaker 2: has never failed you. He has never left you hanging.
[6:19] Speaker 2: Walk up the hall. God got some more doors for
[6:22] Speaker 2: you to go through. But if you stay that beating
[6:25] Speaker 2: on that door, you'll never make the walk up the hall.
[6:27] Speaker 2: Ryan Clark finally stopped beating on the door and walked
[6:31] Speaker 2: up the hall and look at him now. That same thing,
[6:35] Speaker 2: that same grace and favor God gave to him, he
[6:38] Speaker 2: give to you. God is good, man. Y'all have a
[6:40] Speaker 2: great day today.
