[0:00] Speaker 1: Come on.
[0:00] Speaker 2: Uh-huh.
[0:03] Speaker 1: I sure will. Good morning, everybody. You're listening to The Voice.
[0:09] Speaker 1: Come on, dig me now. One and only, Steve Harvey.
[0:14] Speaker 1: Got a radio show.
[0:15] Speaker 2: Yeah, man.
[0:16] Speaker 1: God is in the blessing business all day, every day.
[0:20] Speaker 1: God got hundreds of millions of blessings that he passes
[0:24] Speaker 1: out every day. All I want to do is be
[0:29] Speaker 1: the recipient that I'm the recipient of what he has
[0:33] Speaker 1: for me. That's all I want. I just want God's
[0:38] Speaker 1: favor and I want God's blessings. You know, of course,
[0:43] Speaker 1: I need his mercy and his grace, but I just
[0:46] Speaker 1: want his blessings and his favor. I want that in
[0:52] Speaker 1: my life because it does things for me that I'm
[0:55] Speaker 1: absolutely incapable of doing for myself And I've been a
[0:59] Speaker 1: recipient of many of those.
[1:02] Speaker 2: And you can be the recipient of them too. You
[1:04] Speaker 2: already are, really. Really.
[1:07] Speaker 1: You already are. If you're getting up every morning, that's
[1:10] Speaker 1: a blessing. If you're getting one day closer to anything
[1:15] Speaker 1: you're trying to accomplish, that's a blessing. But now let
[1:19] Speaker 1: me talk to you about this part right here, folks,
[1:21] Speaker 1: because this is the part that messes people up a
[1:23] Speaker 1: great deal. What happens when you get off track? What
[1:27] Speaker 1: is that? What does that mean when you get off track? See,
[1:34] Speaker 1: I've been off track. I can't tell you how many times.
[1:38] Speaker 1: And it happens in so many aspects of your life.
[1:41] Speaker 1: But what is it that makes getting off track so
[1:45] Speaker 1: debilitating to some people? You know, there are some people
[1:48] Speaker 1: who once they're off track, they're off course. They're off
[1:52] Speaker 1: the dream. They're on to something else. And you cannot
[1:56] Speaker 1: allow the fact that you've gotten off track.
[2:00] Speaker 2: To stop you. Can I tell you something? Everybody gets
[2:06] Speaker 2: off track.
[2:07] Speaker 1: There are people who are living their life's dreams in
[2:13] Speaker 1: spite of getting off track. See, what happens when you
[2:16] Speaker 1: get off track? Here's the simple thing to do. The
[2:20] Speaker 1: simple thing is just to get back on track. But
[2:23] Speaker 1: that's easier said than done, ain't it, Steve? Yeah, because see, people...
[2:28] Speaker 1: When you get off track, here's some of the things
[2:30] Speaker 1: that happen. See, you get the, here come the naysayers,
[2:35] Speaker 1: some of them from the outside, some of them internally.
[2:39] Speaker 1: Here's what gets said when you get off track. See,
[2:42] Speaker 1: I told you. I told you. You know, you start
[2:48] Speaker 1: hearing that. It's not for you.
[2:53] Speaker 2: Okay?
[2:54] Speaker 1: This is all just because you got off track. It's
[2:57] Speaker 1: not for you. Okay, here's another one. It ain't meant
[3:01] Speaker 1: to be. You can hear it or you can say it. Well,
[3:06] Speaker 1: I guess it's just not meant to be. But let
[3:10] Speaker 1: me ask you a question, though. Who made the rule
[3:14] Speaker 1: that when you get off track, you can't get back on?
[3:19] Speaker 2: Who made that rule?
[3:21] Speaker 1: Where is that written that once you get off track,
[3:24] Speaker 1: you can't get back on? See, because I'm going to
[3:28] Speaker 1: tell you something, folks, there's no such rule. As a
[3:32] Speaker 1: matter of fact, it's quite the opposite. See, everybody in
[3:38] Speaker 1: pursuit of a dream, a goal, an aspiration, or a
[3:42] Speaker 1: mission is going to get off track sometimes. You're going
[3:47] Speaker 1: to get derailed. There are going to be days where
[3:50] Speaker 1: you're not going to get it right. There are going
[3:52] Speaker 1: to be days where you feel like giving up. There's
[3:55] Speaker 1: going to be days when you're just going to flat
[3:57] Speaker 1: out get it wrong.
[3:58] Speaker 2: That's the journey. But let me tell you something.
[4:01] Speaker 1: Every successful person that I know, ever met, talked to,
[4:05] Speaker 1: sat down, and chopped it up with have shared one
[4:07] Speaker 1: thing in common. We all get off track. We all
[4:13] Speaker 1: get it wrong along the way. I don't care who
[4:15] Speaker 1: the person is. The president got it wrong along the way.
[4:20] Speaker 1: Your pastor got it wrong along the way. Choir director
[4:25] Speaker 1: got it wrong along the way. The principal at your
[4:28] Speaker 1: school got it wrong along the way. The valedictorian of
[4:31] Speaker 1: your class got it wrong along the way. The star
[4:37] Speaker 1: of the team got it wrong along the way. They've
[4:42] Speaker 1: all been off track. Your boss down at your job,
[4:46] Speaker 1: he got it wrong along the way. Your immediate supervisor
[4:49] Speaker 1: got it wrong along the way. Everybody I know that
[4:55] Speaker 1: has any measure of success in every level that you
[4:59] Speaker 1: call success, however you.
[5:00] Speaker 2: Want to label it, has gotten off track.
[5:04] Speaker 1: As a matter of fact, It's impossible.
[5:08] Speaker 2: Listen to me.
[5:09] Speaker 1: It is impossible not to get off track in pursuit
[5:16] Speaker 1: of your dreams, goals, visions, aspirations. It is impossible. Don't
[5:21] Speaker 1: you let nobody tell you that they got through life unscathed,
[5:26] Speaker 1: that they made it because they were just so determined
[5:29] Speaker 1: and I would let nothing turn me back. Yeah, you
[5:32] Speaker 1: might not have let nothing turn you back because you're here. Oh,
[5:35] Speaker 1: but you thought about it. Oh, you thought about it
[5:39] Speaker 1: on days when you was off track. But see, people
[5:42] Speaker 1: don't like to tell the whole story. They just want
[5:44] Speaker 1: you to think as much as you can about them.
[5:47] Speaker 1: So when they tell you their story, they leave out
[5:51] Speaker 1: the stuff along the way. It was just hard work
[5:53] Speaker 1: and determination that got me here.
[5:55] Speaker 2: No, it wasn't. No, it wasn't.
[5:58] Speaker 1: It was the fact that you got off track. And
[6:00] Speaker 1: the grace and mercy of God allowed you to get
[6:03] Speaker 1: back on. His forgiveness allowed you to get back on
[6:06] Speaker 1: because you would not believe what some of the people
[6:09] Speaker 1: have done. So when you get off track, don't allow
[6:13] Speaker 1: the naysayers outside and the big naysayer inside. Because let
[6:18] Speaker 1: me tell you something. The biggest naysayer of them all
[6:21] Speaker 1: comes from inside. See, it don't matter what other people
[6:25] Speaker 1: say out there. It takes some time for you to
[6:27] Speaker 1: learn this, and I understand, because it took me some
[6:29] Speaker 1: time to learn it. See, I have a lot of
[6:31] Speaker 1: naysayers out there, but I ain't operating for them. I
[6:36] Speaker 1: operate and function for the ones that love me, for
[6:38] Speaker 1: the ones that get me, for the ones that understand
[6:41] Speaker 1: what I'm really trying to do. And so don't you
[6:46] Speaker 1: be the one that It doesn't allow yourself to get
[6:50] Speaker 1: back on track when you get off track. Because like
[6:53] Speaker 1: I said, who made the rule up that you can't
[6:56] Speaker 1: get back on track? There's no such rule out there.
[7:01] Speaker 1: Stop stopping yourself from getting it right.
[7:05] Speaker 2: So what?
[7:06] Speaker 1: You started the diet at the beginning of the year
[7:08] Speaker 1: and you already off. Start another one. Start over. Try
[7:14] Speaker 1: it again. Don't ever stop trying. If you stop trying,
[7:18] Speaker 1: you can't make it. But if you never give up
[7:20] Speaker 1: the effort, if you never give up and say it's over,
[7:24] Speaker 1: it ain't over. You heard the saying, it ain't over
[7:26] Speaker 1: to the fat lady saying, I never invite her.
[7:30] Speaker 2: She's not invited.
[7:34] Speaker 1: It ain't over to the fat lady saying, I don't
[7:36] Speaker 1: know where the fat lady stay. I have not sent
[7:39] Speaker 1: her an invitation to none of my events. She's not
[7:42] Speaker 1: welcome here. She done asked me a couple of times,
[7:46] Speaker 1: how come I never get invited? Because you're going to
[7:48] Speaker 1: start saying it. And I ain't got time for that.
[7:52] Speaker 1: All right?
[7:54] Speaker 2: Stop inviting the fat lady to all your events. Thank you.
[7:58] Speaker 2: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
