[0:01] Speaker 1: All right, guys, here we are, our last break of
[0:03] Speaker 1: the day. Steve, now it's time for you to drop
[0:05] Speaker 1: some knowledge with our closing remarks. What you got for
[0:08] Speaker 1: us today?
[0:09] Speaker 2: Yeah, today I want to remind everybody of something that
[0:14] Speaker 2: gets overlooked from time to time. But if you want
[0:17] Speaker 2: to be successful and you want to be happy, if
[0:22] Speaker 2: your happiness is sometimes, as it often is, tied to
[0:27] Speaker 2: your success, and if your success is Oftentimes, as it is,
[0:33] Speaker 2: it's tied to your happiness. The two kind of go
[0:36] Speaker 2: hand in hand almost. But now you have to be
[0:40] Speaker 2: using your definition of success and not somebody else's. If
[0:45] Speaker 2: you're using someone else's definition of success, you're never going
[0:49] Speaker 2: to be happy. Whether they've aimed too high for you
[0:54] Speaker 2: or they've aimed too low for you. If you're using
[0:57] Speaker 2: somebody else's aim, you're never going to be happy. because
[1:02] Speaker 2: those two are, I'm sorry, tied together. I'm happy if
[1:09] Speaker 2: I'm successful. If I'm not successful, I'm not going to
[1:13] Speaker 2: be happy because I'm going to feel like there's something
[1:16] Speaker 2: else I could be doing for my family as something
[1:19] Speaker 2: else I could be doing for my future is something
[1:22] Speaker 2: else I could be doing to make it work. And
[1:25] Speaker 2: so My success is tied to my happiness and my
[1:28] Speaker 2: happiness is tied to my success. Now, do I take
[1:32] Speaker 2: times off from all of it and just sit around
[1:35] Speaker 2: and be grateful and happy for where I am? Of course,
[1:38] Speaker 2: all the time. Gratitude is a huge part of what
[1:41] Speaker 2: the principles of success that's oftentimes too overlooked. Yeah, I
[1:46] Speaker 2: often sit around and just smell the roses, just take
[1:49] Speaker 2: a breath of fresh air and go mad. I'm awful
[1:52] Speaker 2: grateful for where I am, God. Not meaning that I
[1:54] Speaker 2: don't want more, but I oftentimes stop and thank him
[1:58] Speaker 2: for right where I am. Because where we are is
[2:01] Speaker 2: pretty good compared to where we were. But now with
[2:05] Speaker 2: all that said, let me share something with you. If
[2:08] Speaker 2: you want to be happy and successful, you are going
[2:11] Speaker 2: to have to put out a massive effort, period. Stop
[2:17] Speaker 2: thinking it's going to happen any other way. You have
[2:20] Speaker 2: got to put out a massive effort. You got to
[2:25] Speaker 2: get at it. You got to grind. You got to
[2:29] Speaker 2: want it. It's got to burn a little bit on
[2:32] Speaker 2: the inside of you. It's got to make you uncomfortable
[2:35] Speaker 2: not being where you want to be. You got to
[2:38] Speaker 2: have an I'm going to get it attitude in order
[2:41] Speaker 2: for it to get got. Period. You got to have
[2:44] Speaker 2: an I'm going to get it attitude in order for
[2:47] Speaker 2: it to get got. Period. That's the deal. No substitutions.
[2:51] Speaker 2: No alternatives. This ain't sugar. You can't use Splendor instead.
[2:58] Speaker 2: This ain't sugar. This is life. You have to go
[3:02] Speaker 2: get it. There are no alternatives. Well, you can pick
[3:05] Speaker 2: some alternatives, but you're not going to be happy and successful.
[3:08] Speaker 2: You got to get a little bit of dog in you.
[3:11] Speaker 2: I'm sorry. Everybody got to have some dog in you.
[3:14] Speaker 2: You got to have some bite back. You got to
[3:17] Speaker 2: have some fight. You're going to have to have a
[3:19] Speaker 2: little bit of kick. And sometimes the kick has to
[3:22] Speaker 2: come from yourself. You kind of quit looking for other
[3:25] Speaker 2: people to always give you that little kick in the
[3:27] Speaker 2: rear end to get you started. That little jump start
[3:29] Speaker 2: in the morning to encourage you. What if they need encouraging?
[3:32] Speaker 2: What if they ain't get their jump start for the
[3:34] Speaker 2: day and you waiting on their call and their encouraging word? Man,
[3:38] Speaker 2: let me tell you something. These are people that you
[3:40] Speaker 2: waiting on to help you. People fail all the time.
[3:43] Speaker 2: Every person needs the Lord God Almighty. So that might
[3:47] Speaker 2: be one of the mornings where they need him and
[3:49] Speaker 2: they don't have nothing for you. Take your faith out
[3:51] Speaker 2: of man, put your faith in God and get at it.
[3:55] Speaker 2: You and God can make it. That'd be great if
[3:57] Speaker 2: you had a friend along the way. Of course it
[4:00] Speaker 2: would be. But sometimes you're in a pattern where you
[4:03] Speaker 2: got to learn that it ain't nobody but you and
[4:04] Speaker 2: him sometimes. Sometimes you just need to know it ain't
[4:09] Speaker 2: nobody but you and God. That really ain't a bad
[4:13] Speaker 2: place to be. It really ain't. I've got some of
[4:17] Speaker 2: my best results out of my life when I just
[4:20] Speaker 2: asked God for the help. When I didn't call nobody
[4:24] Speaker 2: else to see what they thought about it. When I've
[4:26] Speaker 2: went to God, just God, I've gotten my best results.
[4:30] Speaker 2: I'm just going to be honest with you. But you
[4:33] Speaker 2: got to get at it though. Quit expecting God to
[4:37] Speaker 2: just bless you with something and you ain't giving him
[4:39] Speaker 2: nothing to put his finger on to touch. You make
[4:42] Speaker 2: one step, he'll make two. You got to be a
[4:44] Speaker 2: producer out here. You got to go out of here
[4:47] Speaker 2: and get out something. Quit asking God for a job
[4:49] Speaker 2: and you ain't put no applications in. Stop wasting his
[4:53] Speaker 2: time and yours too. It's like the story of a
[4:56] Speaker 2: man said, you know, I've been praying. I've been praying
[4:59] Speaker 2: to God to hit the lottery. I just been praying
[5:02] Speaker 2: to the Lord to hit the lottery. One day the
[5:04] Speaker 2: man just kept hearing him say that. He said, well,
[5:06] Speaker 2: do you play the lottery? He said, no. What kind
[5:09] Speaker 2: of prayer is that? You're praying to God to hit
[5:11] Speaker 2: the lottery, but you're not playing the lottery.
[5:14] Speaker 1: What?
[5:15] Speaker 2: That don't make no sense. If you want God to
[5:18] Speaker 2: touch your life, give him something to touch and effort.
[5:22] Speaker 2: Put in a request. Be sincere. But I've decided that
[5:28] Speaker 2: I'm going to attempt so many things that's within my
[5:32] Speaker 2: gift and in my realm that I'm going to ask
[5:35] Speaker 2: God to bless me with his grace. He got something
[5:38] Speaker 2: to bless me. He just keeps on making stuff happen
[5:41] Speaker 2: for me. He just keeps on opening doors for me.
[5:44] Speaker 2: He just keeps on putting the right people in front
[5:47] Speaker 2: of me. Oh, and it may look like the deal
[5:49] Speaker 2: ain't going to happen, as oftentimes many of them do.
[5:51] Speaker 2: But at the end of the day, it always works out.
[5:54] Speaker 2: But man, you got to get at it, y'all. You
[5:56] Speaker 2: got to get off your butts and get at it.
[5:59] Speaker 2: Ain't nobody finna walk no checks up to you and
[6:01] Speaker 2: hand them to you. You got to get out here
[6:03] Speaker 2: and get at it. Dreams ain't nothing but dreams. Until
[6:08] Speaker 2: you put some work behind them, they become gold. You
[6:11] Speaker 2: got to put some work behind these drinks. That's my quote.
[6:15] Speaker 2: Y'all have a good one today. Talk to God today.
[6:17] Speaker 2: He'd absolutely love to hear from you.
