[0:00] Speaker 1: Here we are guys last break of the day Junior
[0:03] Speaker 1: you have a question as we thank the people our
[0:05] Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Nation who listens to us every single morning
[0:08] Speaker 1: faithfully and loyally we appreciate you what you got Junior.
[0:12] Speaker 2: Y'all I want to ask Unc something because I see
[0:15] Speaker 2: how he lives and I know you know I don't
[0:18] Speaker 2: mean about what he has materialistic wise I'm just talking
[0:20] Speaker 2: about how he lives the principle that he lives by
[0:22] Speaker 2: Unc but can you talk to us Unc about how
[0:24] Speaker 2: to get the most out of our life how do
[0:27] Speaker 2: we get the most out of it what's the secret.
[0:29] Speaker 3: To that To get the most out of your life,
[0:32] Speaker 3: you got to put the most into your life. You
[0:35] Speaker 3: can't make withdrawals without deposits. Go to the bank and
[0:38] Speaker 3: see how that works. The more you put into the bank,
[0:42] Speaker 3: the more you can withdraw. So, you know, if you
[0:46] Speaker 3: got some things going on, you want the most out
[0:48] Speaker 3: of your life. You got to be willing to put
[0:50] Speaker 3: it in to now. And you have to understand, man,
[0:54] Speaker 3: that these things. Everybody wants to be successful until they
[0:59] Speaker 3: get the invoice. It's going to cost you to get
[1:05] Speaker 3: the most out of your life.
[1:07] Speaker 4: It comes at a price.
[1:09] Speaker 3: Now, I didn't make this up. This is just how
[1:13] Speaker 3: it is. And it can cost you in a lot
[1:16] Speaker 3: of ways. Unbeknownst to me, it's created some health issues.
[1:23] Speaker 3: Running and chasing this dream. It has caused me a
[1:28] Speaker 3: lot of discomfort chasing this dream. But I understood that part, though, too, see.
[1:36] Speaker 3: Because everything I've ever wanted in life that was of
[1:39] Speaker 3: any value was on the other side of uncomfortable. And
[1:42] Speaker 3: you got to go through it to get to it.
[1:45] Speaker 3: You don't get the most out of your life without
[1:51] Speaker 3: it costing you something. Well, see, that's what I'm saying.
[1:56] Speaker 3: I ain't willing to pay that.
[1:57] Speaker 4: Well, okay, cool.
[1:58] Speaker 3: That's no problem. That's not a problem. You get to
[2:02] Speaker 3: make that decision. But now when you want some more
[2:06] Speaker 3: out of your life and you ain't put nothing in,
[2:09] Speaker 3: it's like when you go down to the bank. You
[2:13] Speaker 3: can't go down there to withdraw $ 1, 000 and you ain't
[2:16] Speaker 3: got but 5850 in there. Let me tell you how
[2:20] Speaker 3: cold it is in life and the bank. You can't
[2:24] Speaker 3: go down there to withdraw $ 1, 000 if you only got
[2:28] Speaker 3: $ 999 in there. They're not going to give you, the
[2:32] Speaker 3: bank not going to give you a dollar.
[2:36] Speaker 4: Try it.
[2:38] Speaker 3: Go to your ATM machine and press in an amount
[2:43] Speaker 3: that's not in the bank. And you're going to get
[2:48] Speaker 3: that little, what that sign say when you do that?
[2:50] Speaker 4: Insufficient funds.
[2:52] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[2:53] Speaker 1: Or not enough.
[2:54] Speaker 3: You know how many times I've seen that? I used
[2:59] Speaker 3: to see it so many times. I would take my
[3:02] Speaker 3: car to another machine. Like that one ain't going to know. Man,
[3:12] Speaker 3: you got to understand that. And this ain't Steve Harvey
[3:15] Speaker 3: didn't make this up, man. This is the way it is.
[3:20] Speaker 3: So if you want to get the most out of
[3:21] Speaker 3: your life, man, you got to be willing to put
[3:23] Speaker 3: it in. And let me tell you something, man. If
[3:26] Speaker 3: I were you, if I was a young man, I
[3:30] Speaker 3: would pour everything I had into my life as a
[3:33] Speaker 3: young person. So when you get old, God willing, and
[3:38] Speaker 3: allow you a life of longevity and you make it
[3:42] Speaker 3: to 60, you'll have something. But if you don't put
[3:46] Speaker 3: nothing in, you won't have nothing. I'm going to tell you, man,
[3:50] Speaker 3: I've watched, man, I got dear friends, man, who retired.
[3:57] Speaker 3: And I used to sit there, man, looking at them going, wow, man,
[4:00] Speaker 3: what did they do to be able to retire? And
[4:04] Speaker 3: then I watched as the years went by, they back
[4:07] Speaker 3: at work. I had a relative who just recently went
[4:12] Speaker 3: back to work. We the same age. He went back
[4:14] Speaker 3: to work. He retired and he went back to work.
[4:19] Speaker 3: Because what he thought was going to be enough, that
[4:22] Speaker 3: was just not enough. The deposits he made into the
[4:25] Speaker 3: Social Security plan was not enough. The retirement check that
[4:31] Speaker 3: his job gave him wasn't enough. Because you know what
[4:35] Speaker 3: your job do, man? Your job pays you a check.
[4:41] Speaker 3: That's two thirds of what you already couldn't live on.
[4:46] Speaker 3: So when you retire, you get a check that's a
[4:49] Speaker 3: third of that. You were struggling when it was the
[4:52] Speaker 3: whole check. Now you get a third of that. And
[4:57] Speaker 3: then the Social Security system got him. So y'all, here's
[5:02] Speaker 3: the deal. Even if you, let's say you over 50
[5:08] Speaker 3: and you're listening and you don't have your life lined
[5:11] Speaker 3: up the way you want to. This is my suggestion
[5:15] Speaker 3: to you. You've got to have some serious conversations with God.
[5:20] Speaker 3: You've got to make some adaptive changes. And if you're
[5:24] Speaker 3: 50 years old, you still have time to put it in.
[5:27] Speaker 3: And you still have time to get it right. If
[5:29] Speaker 3: you're 50 years old, do you know you still have time?
[5:34] Speaker 3: Because the possibility that he could wake you up tomorrow
[5:37] Speaker 3: is pretty strong.
[5:38] Speaker 4: It's pretty strong.
[5:40] Speaker 3: And if you mess around and say, I can't do nothing,
[5:42] Speaker 3: I'm 50, and you mess around and you wake up
[5:44] Speaker 3: 10 more years and you're 60, you could have been
[5:46] Speaker 3: putting it in for 10 years since you were 50
[5:50] Speaker 3: had you made that decision, but you decided it's too
[5:53] Speaker 3: late to put it in. Now you're 60, now you
[5:55] Speaker 3: really got nothing. Do you know you can be 60
[5:58] Speaker 3: and pull it together? Do you know that? You can
[6:02] Speaker 3: be 60 years old and pull it together. Who told
[6:06] Speaker 3: you you couldn't pull it together at 60?
[6:09] Speaker 4: Who told you?
[6:11] Speaker 3: Man, I've accomplished some amazing things in my 60s because
[6:16] Speaker 3: I just kept the faith and I kept grinding. But remember,
[6:21] Speaker 3: to get the most out of your life was the
[6:22] Speaker 3: original question Junior had. You got to put in the
[6:26] Speaker 3: most too. Everybody wants to be successful until they see
[6:31] Speaker 3: the invoice.
[6:32] Speaker 4: All right.
[6:34] Speaker 3: Y'all have a good day.
[6:35] Speaker 4: Pay the invoice. It's worth it. Have a great day today, y'all. Peace.
