[0:00] Speaker 1: Here we are, guys. Our last break of the day
[0:02] Speaker 1: on this Friday. We made it to Friday. Thank you
[0:05] Speaker 1: guys for listening. Steve Harvey Nation, we appreciate you so much.
[0:08] Speaker 1: We appreciate the love. Right back at you.
[0:11] Speaker 2: Steve. It's so many things. I'm going to share something
[0:16] Speaker 2: with you all today. I wish I knew what I
[0:20] Speaker 2: know now way back when. I wish what I've discovered
[0:27] Speaker 2: lately I had discovered sooner. I'm almost mad at myself
[0:33] Speaker 2: because I had heard about it. I just never applied it.
[0:38] Speaker 2: I would apply it in pieces, but I never.
[0:42] Speaker 1: Was sustaining this as a practice. You know what it is, man?
[0:48] Speaker 2: What has been a complete and utter game changer for me?
[0:52] Speaker 1: Two things. Giving it completely over to God. Completely.
[0:59] Speaker 2: And trusting in his timing. I wish I had understood
[1:03] Speaker 2: this as a younger man. It would have saved me
[1:08] Speaker 2: so much misery. I just didn't, man. And I'm just
[1:12] Speaker 2: not truly getting it, y'all. And I'm just going to
[1:14] Speaker 2: admit that. I'm just truly getting it right now. And
[1:18] Speaker 2: it's such a great thing to be in possession of.
[1:22] Speaker 2: But I'm a little ticked off in myself. Because now
[1:25] Speaker 2: that I know how it really and truly operates. You
[1:29] Speaker 2: know how many times you hear stuff and you want
[1:31] Speaker 2: to say it back to people, but you don't really
[1:33] Speaker 2: apply it? You ever hear them tell people all the time, hey, look,
[1:36] Speaker 2: if you're going to worry about it, don't pray about it.
[1:38] Speaker 2: If you're going to pray about it, don't worry about it.
[1:40] Speaker 2: But you know good and well, you pray about stuff
[1:42] Speaker 2: all the time and then get right to worrying about it.
[1:45] Speaker 2: You do it all the time. I don't care who
[1:46] Speaker 2: you are. And then you worry about something, then you
[1:49] Speaker 2: pray about it, you get back to worrying about it.
[1:51] Speaker 2: Everybody does it. You know, practice what you preach. Failure
[1:55] Speaker 2: is a wonderful teacher. Stop saying try. Take try out
[2:00] Speaker 2: your vocabulary. A young man called in on closing remarks
[2:04] Speaker 2: on a phone call just this past week. And he
[2:07] Speaker 2: told me, he said, Steve, I learned this from you.
[2:10] Speaker 2: And I told him, I said, I'm going to try
[2:12] Speaker 2: to get down to 210. He said, man, you taught
[2:16] Speaker 2: me not to say try because.
[2:18] Speaker 1: Words is powerful.
[2:20] Speaker 2: Hey, man, stop saying you're going to try to get
[2:22] Speaker 2: to 210 and say you're going to be 210. And
[2:25] Speaker 2: I had to stop and say, hey, you know what, man,
[2:27] Speaker 2: he's right. Because no matter who you are, you need
[2:29] Speaker 2: reminding every now and then. So as a human, I
[2:32] Speaker 2: get it wrong all the time. But I wish I
[2:35] Speaker 2: had known how to turn it over to God and
[2:39] Speaker 2: then trust in his timing. I can't tell you how
[2:44] Speaker 2: that has changed my life. A 360. And I done
[2:48] Speaker 2: had some great things happen to me. So when I
[2:50] Speaker 2: tell you it done turned my life around 360, I'm
[2:53] Speaker 2: not talking about in possessions. I'm talking about in mental
[2:58] Speaker 2: clarity and peace. I now live in an uncommon peace.
[3:04] Speaker 2: And you know how I got this uncommon peace? Because
[3:07] Speaker 2: I turned it over to God.
[3:08] Speaker 1: I really have.
[3:09] Speaker 2: All y'all, listen to me clearly. All of y'all that
[3:13] Speaker 2: say hateful stuff about me, you can go right ahead.
[3:17] Speaker 2: And like that girl on the internet said, let me
[3:22] Speaker 2: put my glasses on to see if I care.
[3:29] Speaker 1: And she said, and I could give less than her.
[3:32] Speaker 1: I see clearly now. I'm there. I am completely there.
[3:38] Speaker 2: If you come to me with some bad news, if
[3:41] Speaker 2: you are somebody I'm under contract with and you come
[3:44] Speaker 2: to me with some horrific news, You know what I
[3:47] Speaker 2: do now?
[3:48] Speaker 1: That's cool. Ain't no problem.
[3:50] Speaker 2: God got me because I have a track record of
[3:53] Speaker 2: proof that he has always had me. Every time somebody
[3:57] Speaker 2: tried to take something from me, God replaced it with greater.
[4:01] Speaker 2: I am telling you because I have given it over
[4:04] Speaker 2: to him. I don't worry about the meetings that I
[4:07] Speaker 2: got coming. I don't worry about the negotiations I'm in.
[4:10] Speaker 2: I don't worry about it no more. I done gave
[4:13] Speaker 2: it to God. So when you come to me with
[4:14] Speaker 2: your decisions, It ain't really your decision. It's how God
[4:19] Speaker 2: is positioning me. And then trusting in his timing to sit, man,
[4:25] Speaker 2: and not worry about how it's going to go. And
[4:28] Speaker 2: to know that God, as his child, he has promised
[4:32] Speaker 2: that he has a great life for me, that he
[4:34] Speaker 2: is going to prosper me, that he has plans for me.
[4:39] Speaker 2: And to know that, man, I wish I had known that, y'all.
[4:43] Speaker 2: It would have saved me so much misery. Do you
[4:47] Speaker 2: know the stress I've put myself under during the grind
[4:52] Speaker 2: when I was always trying to get ahead of things
[4:55] Speaker 2: and anticipate things and prepare for things and control things?
[5:00] Speaker 2: Do you know how I've worn myself out with that
[5:04] Speaker 2: type of activity? I didn't even have to, man, because
[5:08] Speaker 2: you know what I was guilty of? I was taking
[5:11] Speaker 2: on burdens and I was carrying stuff that I was
[5:14] Speaker 2: not designed to carry. And you know the biggest thing
[5:18] Speaker 2: that I was carrying that I'm not designed to carry?
[5:22] Speaker 1: Tomorrow.
[5:23] Speaker 2: I had tomorrow all over me. Do you know you
[5:26] Speaker 2: are not designed for tomorrow? The Lord's prayer is clear.
[5:31] Speaker 2: Give us this day our daily bread. You just need
[5:34] Speaker 2: to get through today, y'all. Tomorrow, if you wear tomorrow, man,
[5:38] Speaker 2: you finna wear yourself out. I was in the wear
[5:41] Speaker 2: myself out business. Man, I wish I knew what I
[5:43] Speaker 2: knew today. I would have saved myself so much pain.
[5:49] Speaker 2: But having it now, I'm glad I got it. Because
[5:53] Speaker 2: he also said somewhere in the scripture, I don't know
[5:55] Speaker 2: where it is. Your latter years will be your greater years.
[6:00] Speaker 2: And I'm sitting here living proof. I am living proof
[6:04] Speaker 2: that my latter years has really and is becoming my
[6:09] Speaker 2: greater years. That's in the word, y'all.
[6:13] Speaker 1: The word.
[6:13] Speaker 2: I'm glad I lean on that boy because it's solid.
[6:16] Speaker 2: God's words and promises, all his promises is true.
[6:20] Speaker 1: I'm just glad I got here. I just wish I
[6:22] Speaker 1: had got here sooner. Kind of mad at myself a
[6:24] Speaker 1: little bit, too. Kind of mad at myself. But better
[6:29] Speaker 1: to have it than to never have gotten it. So
[6:31] Speaker 1: I got it now. Hope y'all can get it. Talk
[6:34] Speaker 1: to God. He'd love to hear from you today, y'all.
[6:36] Speaker 2: Y'all have a great day.
