October 21, 2026, 5pm; Alina Habba Mildon denied any role in the pardon, and the Herreras did not respond to the Times' multiple requests for comment. In a statement, the Justice Department told the Times that Mildon didn't speak to anyone about a pardon, and a White House official said Mildon had nothing to do with the Herrera pardon.
