[0:12] Speaker 1: God will transform your life. Do today's message.
[0:16] Speaker 2: Well, get out your Bibles, get out your smartphones, get
[0:20] Speaker 2: out your tablets. Today we are in week two of
[0:24] Speaker 2: a series we're calling Wicked, and this series is about
[0:29] Speaker 2: the worship of wealth. And last week God really did
[0:35] Speaker 2: challenge us to view the categories of what God calls wicked.
[0:41] Speaker 2: He said in his word that the worship of wealth
[0:46] Speaker 2: is wicked. And some of y'all like, obviously, yeah, like
[0:48] Speaker 2: obviously like greedy people, people who won't obey what God
[0:51] Speaker 2: says to do with the people who are stingy, like yeah.
[0:54] Speaker 2: But the other thing that he explicitly calls wicked is
[0:58] Speaker 2: people who waste their wealth. And I know there are
[1:03] Speaker 2: a lot of people, especially if you in church, a
[1:05] Speaker 2: lot of people won't necessarily claim being ones who are
[1:10] Speaker 2: wicked because they're actually worshiping wealth. No, I worship God.
[1:14] Speaker 2: I worship God. I only worship God. But God thought
[1:17] Speaker 2: it so important that he put it in his words
[1:19] Speaker 2: so plainly. Only one place in the Bible. Does he
[1:24] Speaker 2: compare himself to anything, because he just know he's him
[1:29] Speaker 2: and he don't got to compare himself to nobody. But
[1:31] Speaker 2: there was only one place he said. You cannot serve
[1:34] Speaker 2: both God and money. He said, because I know you'll
[1:39] Speaker 2: never call it this, but you'll make it your idol
[1:42] Speaker 2: or your God. And so if you waste it or
[1:46] Speaker 2: you worship it, it's everybody say wicked, and the word
[1:50] Speaker 2: y'all ain't even say it. Say wicked, yeah, because the
[1:56] Speaker 2: truth of the matter is some of y'all have been
[1:59] Speaker 2: living a wicked life. When it comes to finances, nobody's
[2:02] Speaker 2: saying it. But go through your budget and see how
[2:06] Speaker 2: much you wasted last month. Come on, let's think about it.
[2:14] Speaker 2: Some of y'all don't even return stuff that don't fit
[2:16] Speaker 2: no more. Oh, come on, let's be honest. You don't
[2:20] Speaker 2: like the process of returning it. So you buy three sizes.
[2:27] Speaker 2: Oh I'm in somebody's business, get the one that works,
[2:31] Speaker 2: and lead another two in a dirty bag on the side,
[2:33] Speaker 2: and then one day you'll give it away to goodwill
[2:36] Speaker 2: or anything. And God said you could even get your
[2:37] Speaker 2: money back if you would just be intentional. But you're wasteful.
[2:43] Speaker 2: Yet you're gonna be praying God, make a way, Just
[2:46] Speaker 2: make away, God, just make a way, he said, I did.
[2:48] Speaker 2: It's on your floor. Some of us are playing for
[2:53] Speaker 2: subscriptions that got us with one TV show. I ain't
[3:00] Speaker 2: opened up Peacock in nine months. Come on, ain't opened
[3:09] Speaker 2: it up in nine months. But they've taken twelve dollars
[3:13] Speaker 2: every month. But you can't honor God. They taken it
[3:20] Speaker 2: from you, not even asking you for it, and you
[3:23] Speaker 2: gave them permission. I'm just saying that is wicked when
[3:29] Speaker 2: it comes down to you standing before God and him
[3:32] Speaker 2: tallying up all the resources he gave you. Hello, John,
[3:37] Speaker 2: I'm so grateful that you made it here. In your lifetime.
[3:40] Speaker 2: You had seven million, six hundred and seventy two dollars.
[3:45] Speaker 2: Seventeen of them went to the church, seven hundred went
[3:54] Speaker 2: to the church seventeen thousand in the seven million, seventeen thousand.
[3:59] Speaker 2: That's not even a comparison. It's not even a tithe
[4:05] Speaker 2: How somebody, why are you telling me this. It's because
[4:09] Speaker 2: for many years of my life I was in the dark,
[4:13] Speaker 2: or I was ignorant of what God's word said about wealth.
[4:18] Speaker 2: And if you don't know, you don't even gotta act
[4:23] Speaker 2: like you know. Come on, when you know better, you
[4:28] Speaker 2: do better. Some of y'all do, cause some of us know.
[4:32] Speaker 2: But you get to abdicate yourself, you get to act dumb,
[4:36] Speaker 2: you get to not even try if you don't know. So,
[4:42] Speaker 2: if you came to church Todari you're watching online, you're
[4:45] Speaker 2: in trouble because by the end of this serment you'll know,
[4:54] Speaker 2: and then what you do with what you know, that's
[4:58] Speaker 2: only you watch this, you can go to heaven and
[5:01] Speaker 2: never give anything. I want to be very clear because
[5:05] Speaker 2: a lot of people think that when you talk about
[5:08] Speaker 2: money or tithing or generosity, they feel like it's a
[5:11] Speaker 2: condemnation message. If anybody has ever done that to you,
[5:15] Speaker 2: I want to apologize as a pastor on a platform.
[5:18] Speaker 2: Your money is not sending you to hell. Let me
[5:22] Speaker 2: be very clear about that. Once you put your faith
[5:24] Speaker 2: in Jesus Christ, he is now your Lord and savior,
[5:28] Speaker 2: you will be in heaven. I want you to know that.
[5:31] Speaker 2: But you do not become more like Jesus if you
[5:34] Speaker 2: don't give. So, if the goal is not just to
[5:39] Speaker 2: get a get out of Hell free card, but to
[5:44] Speaker 2: actually be transformed, into the image of our Lord and Savior.
[5:48] Speaker 2: If that's the actual goal to represent or represent him
[5:51] Speaker 2: on earth. We can never look more like Jesus if
[5:54] Speaker 2: we never give anything. And the crazy thing about it
[5:59] Speaker 2: is given and everything. When you're selfish with God, you're
[6:04] Speaker 2: selfish with your wife. Oh gosh, when you're selfish with God,
[6:12] Speaker 2: you're selfish with people. You don't know how many times
[6:15] Speaker 2: did God tell you to do something or ask you
[6:17] Speaker 2: to give an extra tip, or ask you to do something.
[6:19] Speaker 2: You'd be like, they don't look like they need it.
[6:22] Speaker 2: You ain't never seen them before in your life, but
[6:24] Speaker 2: you just summon up the whole situation. Today. I'm asking
[6:33] Speaker 2: us not to be wicked because we worship wealth, or
[6:35] Speaker 2: be wicked because we waste it. I want us to
[6:37] Speaker 2: walk in say this word with me, wisdom. When you
[6:42] Speaker 2: have wisdom with wealth, you can look at Solomon as
[6:45] Speaker 2: an example and see what God does when people ask
[6:48] Speaker 2: for wisdom. I want you to go read it later,
[6:51] Speaker 2: but I just need to let you know the wisest man.
[6:53] Speaker 2: The Bible declares that ever lived, when God gave him
[6:57] Speaker 2: a choice, he said, you can ask me for anything
[7:00] Speaker 2: you want. Most of us would have been like could
[7:03] Speaker 2: you please let me hit that lottery in Texas? What
[7:08] Speaker 2: is it? Two hundred and fifty? Like? He says, I
[7:11] Speaker 2: don't want riches, I don't want wealth, I don't want
[7:13] Speaker 2: my name. He said, would you please watch this? Give
[7:16] Speaker 2: me wisdom to govern your people? And God liked the
[7:21] Speaker 2: answer so much that he said, you know what, boy,
[7:25] Speaker 2: I don't know where you found that answer at, But
[7:28] Speaker 2: because you asked for what wisdom, he said, I'm gonna
[7:32] Speaker 2: give you all the money you could ask for, because
[7:37] Speaker 2: now watch this, you have the mindset to handle more.
[7:46] Speaker 2: And most of us that are sitting here today listening
[7:49] Speaker 2: to me do not have the mindset for more. If
[7:53] Speaker 2: God gave you more, it would destroy you. If God
[7:56] Speaker 2: gave you more, you wouldn't come to church no more.
[7:59] Speaker 2: If God gave you you wouldn't pray no more. If
[8:02] Speaker 2: God gave you more, you would be at you, you
[8:10] Speaker 2: making it rain. Oh, come on, If God gave you
[8:14] Speaker 2: more those substances, you would spread them to other people
[8:19] Speaker 2: because you wasn't greeting no more, and so you would
[8:21] Speaker 2: spread death to other people. Because you had more to give,
[8:25] Speaker 2: you would be generous with the wrong thing. Okay, come on, y'all,
[8:30] Speaker 2: and God said, I need to give you my heart
[8:33] Speaker 2: and my mind about wealth, resources, and stewardship and generosity,
[8:38] Speaker 2: because if you get that, I can trust you with
[8:41] Speaker 2: everybody say more. That's all. God wants to trust us
[8:45] Speaker 2: all with more. Ain't that what every parent want for
[8:50] Speaker 2: their kids. I want to be able to trust you
[8:52] Speaker 2: with more. Right now, I can't trust you to not
[8:55] Speaker 2: take the cookies out the cookie jar. That's why I
[8:57] Speaker 2: gotta put them up. Can't put the oreos or the
[9:01] Speaker 2: chocolate chips where the kids can get them because they
[9:04] Speaker 2: do not have the mindset or the heart to obey
[9:08] Speaker 2: you to stay out of it as soon as you
[9:10] Speaker 2: turn your but one day, as a parent, I would
[9:19] Speaker 2: hope that my word would be able to keep them
[9:22] Speaker 2: out of the cookie jar, not the placement. At some point,
[9:30] Speaker 2: I want to be able to leave something right there
[9:33] Speaker 2: for them to get and they desire to obey my word,
[9:38] Speaker 2: so it doesn't take me putting a booby trap and
[9:40] Speaker 2: a mouse trap and a camera. I'm watching some of
[9:47] Speaker 2: our parenting is not actually parenting. It's surveillance. Okay, let
[9:51] Speaker 2: me stop. All I'm saying is I'm an't nothing wrong
[9:55] Speaker 2: with camera. We have cameras. I'm just saying, we scare
[9:58] Speaker 2: them into knowing where instead of giving them the ability
[10:05] Speaker 2: to grow so we can trust them with everybody say more.
[10:09] Speaker 2: So today I'm gonna try to give you a principle
[10:12] Speaker 2: that has changed my life. One of my friends came
[10:16] Speaker 2: up to me on the side and just said, testify, Mike.
[10:18] Speaker 2: You lived this, and so today I just want to
[10:21] Speaker 2: testify of what happens when you focus on what Jesus
[10:26] Speaker 2: says about money. When you focus on what Jesus says,
[10:32] Speaker 2: somebody say, focus Hebrews twelve one. I'm reading it every week.
[10:35] Speaker 2: It says, therefore, since we are surrounded by such a
[10:37] Speaker 2: great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that
[10:41] Speaker 2: hinders us, especially the sin that so easily entangles us,
[10:47] Speaker 2: and let us run with perseverance the race marked out
[10:51] Speaker 2: for us. I just want somebody to know that the
[10:54] Speaker 2: race marked out for you is not supposed to be
[10:57] Speaker 2: one that is just full. What broke eyes ideas struggling
[11:02] Speaker 2: situations and needing and begging. How do you know, Pastor Mike,
[11:07] Speaker 2: God says it is in his will that you be
[11:11] Speaker 2: the lender and not the ball. He said, I want
[11:16] Speaker 2: to use you So first off, you just gotta believe
[11:19] Speaker 2: that how I was raised, what I was grown up in,
[11:22] Speaker 2: or even all that out of a mask. But I
[11:23] Speaker 2: still don't feel the actual burden of how to handle it.
[11:26] Speaker 2: I need you to know there's another race marked out
[11:29] Speaker 2: for us. Fixing our eyes on Jesus, somebody say, focus
[11:33] Speaker 2: the pioneer and perfector of our faith for the joy
[11:36] Speaker 2: that was set before him. He endured the cross, scorning
[11:39] Speaker 2: its shame and sat down at the right hand of
[11:42] Speaker 2: the throne of God. Fixing your eyes on Jesus gives
[11:46] Speaker 2: you the faith to focus. So today I'm gonna focus
[11:50] Speaker 2: us on some scriptures that you're gonna have to eat
[11:53] Speaker 2: on beyond this meal. If today was your only day
[11:57] Speaker 2: of eating for the rest of the week, y'all would
[12:00] Speaker 2: show up here next week angry, malnourished, dehydrated. Some of
[12:06] Speaker 2: y'all wouldnt show it because you be in jail from
[12:08] Speaker 2: the things that you did mentally. Because so I want
[12:12] Speaker 2: you to feast on the word of God when it
[12:15] Speaker 2: comes to us honoring God with what he gives us.
[12:18] Speaker 2: Proverbs three nine. This is one of the greatest scriptures
[12:22] Speaker 2: of wisdom and wealth. It says Honor the Lord, not
[12:28] Speaker 2: your pastor, not your church, not your bishop. Honor the
[12:34] Speaker 2: Lord with your what wealth, with the first fruits of
[12:40] Speaker 2: your crops. So what I need everybody to do is
[12:44] Speaker 2: understand that God has put a principle in place where
[12:47] Speaker 2: he's saying, I'm gonna bless you. The only way that
[12:51] Speaker 2: I know that you honor me is not by your
[12:54] Speaker 2: lip service, not by your shouting. Y'all dance some of
[12:57] Speaker 2: y'all was like, I gave God ten percent of my praise,
[13:02] Speaker 2: Come on some of us. Thing that well, he said,
[13:06] Speaker 2: honor me with your wealth. And then he's more specific
[13:11] Speaker 2: with the first fruits. I want the first of it,
[13:15] Speaker 2: because it doesn't take faith to give the last. It
[13:18] Speaker 2: takes faith to give the And then it says, watch this.
[13:25] Speaker 2: He makes a promise. Then your barns will be feeled
[13:28] Speaker 2: to overflowing ah and your vats will brim over with
[13:34] Speaker 2: new wine. What God's saying is, if you ever try
[13:37] Speaker 2: me at this principle, he said, I'm going to make
[13:41] Speaker 2: your life an example of abundance. And most people who
[13:47] Speaker 2: fight with this, it's their fear to believe that God
[13:50] Speaker 2: is a man of his word. And so today I
[13:54] Speaker 2: want you to know that honoring God with our wealth
[13:58] Speaker 2: is the way that we get over flow. We sing
[14:01] Speaker 2: the song over flow. Most of us have never experienced it,
[14:06] Speaker 2: especially in the area of finance. God says, do it
[14:08] Speaker 2: my way, and I will present overflow to you. So
[14:11] Speaker 2: I was thinking of this time when I was fifteen
[14:15] Speaker 2: years old, and I think this is a good way
[14:18] Speaker 2: to get right into this series, into this message. Me
[14:21] Speaker 2: and my now wife but then girlfriend had this wild
[14:26] Speaker 2: idea to go get our driver's license together. And Natalie
[14:32] Speaker 2: is a very safe and cautious person. She's one that
[14:35] Speaker 2: read the whole Driver's ed manual. She actually went to
[14:39] Speaker 2: a class. Me, on the other hand, I got the
[14:42] Speaker 2: gist of it, and you know, I'm saying, I know
[14:47] Speaker 2: the basics and I can drive, so it doesn't really
[14:49] Speaker 2: make sense to go through all of that work. So
[14:54] Speaker 2: let's go get our driver's license. Her sister, Naive took
[14:58] Speaker 2: us to the North Side DMV and we went to
[15:02] Speaker 2: take our driving test and they were like, who wants
[15:06] Speaker 2: to go first? And I'm sitting there like, oh, chivalrous ladies. First,
[15:12] Speaker 2: Natalie goes out and takes her driver's test. She's out
[15:14] Speaker 2: there for about fifteen minutes she turns back in. I'm
[15:17] Speaker 2: watching from the window like, derema, girl, look at that,
[15:20] Speaker 2: look at it? Back in? Up you signed goga and
[15:25] Speaker 2: comes back in and I'm like, yo, how was it? Like,
[15:27] Speaker 2: what was it scary? Was anything? And she's like, no,
[15:29] Speaker 2: that was simple. That was easy. And she got her
[15:33] Speaker 2: little passing certificate, and so I got real confident, and
[15:38] Speaker 2: I was like, if she got her license that easy. Well,
[15:47] Speaker 2: I had this little thought in my head like what
[15:49] Speaker 2: if I feel this test, Like how embarrassing would that
[15:54] Speaker 2: be for me to fail this test with this woman
[15:57] Speaker 2: that I'm her strong, mighty, strapping fifty year old man.
[16:05] Speaker 2: But I threw it to the back of my head.
[16:07] Speaker 2: The lady says, all right, start the car, Start the car,
[16:10] Speaker 2: go out. She says, turn onto the street, Turn onto
[16:13] Speaker 2: the street. And then there was a car that was
[16:15] Speaker 2: next to me that was acting like you know them
[16:18] Speaker 2: people that don't know if they want to get in
[16:20] Speaker 2: front of you or go behind. And so I'm like, ah,
[16:23] Speaker 2: I'm not playing with this, So I just speed up
[16:25] Speaker 2: a little bit, just a little bit, speed up, I
[16:29] Speaker 2: mean normal, get in front. So like, do what you're
[16:32] Speaker 2: gonna do if you're gonna have the inn she would
[16:34] Speaker 2: throw a ten potential. I'm gonna get right here. That
[16:37] Speaker 2: woman said okay, She said, okay, right here at the light.
[16:44] Speaker 2: Why don't you turn left? Okay, and then turn back
[16:46] Speaker 2: into the parking lot. And it didn't even register to
[16:52] Speaker 2: me that I was out for exactly one minute and
[16:56] Speaker 2: forty five second and she asked me to turn the
[17:01] Speaker 2: car off and heat rolls from my feet all the
[17:07] Speaker 2: way to my I instantly started sweating, and I was like,
[17:10] Speaker 2: what happened? What happened? She was like, well, that was
[17:13] Speaker 2: not appropriate driving, specifically for a driving test, and she
[17:18] Speaker 2: said I'm gonna have to ask you to come back,
[17:22] Speaker 2: and Nat standing at the window, but she knew the
[17:27] Speaker 2: time was too short. And I am sad to say
[17:32] Speaker 2: that I failed my first driving test. Natalie got her
[17:37] Speaker 2: picture and her license and she had to drive me home.
[17:49] Speaker 2: I failed the test. Now, I thought about that as
[17:55] Speaker 2: a good injury story, because it was my pride that
[18:00] Speaker 2: allowed me not to actually take seriously the opportunity I had,
[18:07] Speaker 2: and I failed the test because I didn't actually do
[18:11] Speaker 2: what was asked of me. Today, I want to title
[18:15] Speaker 2: this message, don't fail this test, like as a big brother,
[18:21] Speaker 2: as a pastor as a leader. I'm just asking everybody
[18:24] Speaker 2: in this room who has a pay check gets paid
[18:27] Speaker 2: some type of way. How many people get paid two
[18:29] Speaker 2: times a month? Like two times a month? Okay? How
[18:31] Speaker 2: many people get paid once a month? Hands lifted? Some
[18:34] Speaker 2: of y'all not even lifting, y'all, hand y'all don't get paid. Well,
[18:38] Speaker 2: maybe that's what we need to pray for. Any grace
[18:40] Speaker 2: for you. Cool, But the mindset becomes before the motion. Okay,
[18:47] Speaker 2: So every time you get paid, people don't know this.
[18:53] Speaker 2: God's given you a test. And today I came to
[18:58] Speaker 2: tell everybody don't fail this test because the test that
[19:02] Speaker 2: God gives is an open book test. He has in
[19:07] Speaker 2: his word so many places where he says, Yo, if
[19:12] Speaker 2: I give you something, I need you to watch this word,
[19:15] Speaker 2: return ten percent of it so that I know that
[19:20] Speaker 2: you know who all it is comes from. And I'm
[19:28] Speaker 2: telling you it's the fourth month or the third month
[19:31] Speaker 2: of the year, and some of y'all have failed this
[19:35] Speaker 2: test six to eight times. And today I'm just coming
[19:42] Speaker 2: to you at your big brother and say, don't fail
[19:44] Speaker 2: this test because this test can actually change your life.
[19:50] Speaker 2: Malachi three, verse six. And I'm about to bring some
[19:54] Speaker 2: clarity to this that the church has messed up for years.
[19:57] Speaker 2: For I am the Lord who's talking the Lord. I
[20:00] Speaker 2: am the Lord. I do not change tap in with
[20:05] Speaker 2: me right here. Therefore, you are not consumed, oh, sons
[20:08] Speaker 2: of Jacob. Yet from the days of your fathers, you
[20:11] Speaker 2: have gone away from my ordinances or that means ordinary behavior.
[20:16] Speaker 2: This is ordinary behavior for people who call themselves Christians,
[20:20] Speaker 2: and you have not kept them. Return to me, or
[20:24] Speaker 2: come back to the way I meant for it to be.
[20:27] Speaker 2: And I will return to you, says the Lord of Hosts.
[20:30] Speaker 2: But you say, in what way shall we return to you? God?
[20:35] Speaker 2: Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed me.
[20:41] Speaker 2: Think about how strong that language is. If God is
[20:44] Speaker 2: saying you robbing me? No no, no, no, no no no.
[20:48] Speaker 2: You talk about son or daughter, but you keep robbing me.
[20:52] Speaker 2: Think about it, and you say, hold on, God, in
[20:57] Speaker 2: what way have I robbed you? Exactly? He said, let
[21:01] Speaker 2: me be very specific. You have robbed me in tithes
[21:05] Speaker 2: and offerings. A pastor didn't make this up. A church
[21:09] Speaker 2: didn't make this up. This wasn't a board of directors
[21:12] Speaker 2: that was like, yo, we need money somehow. This is
[21:14] Speaker 2: God the Lord of host and he keeps saying it.
[21:17] Speaker 2: He says, you've robbed me and ties an offering, and
[21:20] Speaker 2: you are cursed with the curse, for you have robbed me.
[21:23] Speaker 2: Even this whole nation is robbing me. So what do
[21:27] Speaker 2: you want me to do? God? Bring all the tithes
[21:30] Speaker 2: into the storehouse that's the house of God, that there
[21:33] Speaker 2: may be food in my house, and trot all this
[21:38] Speaker 2: my part, and try me now in this test, me,
[21:43] Speaker 2: says the Lord of hosts. And see if I will
[21:46] Speaker 2: not open for you, who is he talking to open
[21:51] Speaker 2: for you? He's talking to us the windows of heaven
[21:56] Speaker 2: and pour out for you. I think people when they
[22:01] Speaker 2: read this, they think it's about the church, or they
[22:03] Speaker 2: think it's about a group of people. God says, everybody's
[22:07] Speaker 2: not gonna get this, but for those who do. This
[22:12] Speaker 2: ain't for everybody, But this is for the ones who do.
[22:15] Speaker 2: He says, See if I won't open up the windows
[22:18] Speaker 2: of heaven, how big could that be? And pour you
[22:22] Speaker 2: out such a blessing who I love this that there

[48:01] Speaker 2: tithe on mint and honest and cuman, which were spices,
[48:05] Speaker 2: and you have neglected the weightier matter of the law,
[48:09] Speaker 2: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have
[48:14] Speaker 2: done without leaving the others undone, what is Jesus saying?
[48:18] Speaker 2: He is like, you tithe on all your increase, but
[48:23] Speaker 2: you don't do the mercy, justice and faith. He said,
[48:28] Speaker 2: both of them you ought to do. Jesus said, tithes
[48:32] Speaker 2: and love people. She's saying, give up your increase and
[48:38] Speaker 2: show people mercy. That's Jesus talking. And the crazy thing
[48:43] Speaker 2: is right now, if Jesus came to you and said
[48:46] Speaker 2: you should tie, some of you would still have to
[48:49] Speaker 2: think about it. Last thing, tithing is practical. It's a test,
[48:58] Speaker 2: it's biblical, and it's practical Hebrew seven eight. Because some
[49:02] Speaker 2: of y'all like, Okay, I'm tithing, I'm giving ten percent
[49:04] Speaker 2: of my income. I'm doing all of this. How does
[49:07] Speaker 2: God get it? Watch this, He confronts it. Here on
[49:10] Speaker 2: this earth, mortal men received tithes, the church, the people
[49:15] Speaker 2: that govern this, the board, they manage it. But there
[49:19] Speaker 2: he receives them. He said, this whole thing is by faith.
[49:24] Speaker 2: He's like, it's practical for there to be lights and
[49:27] Speaker 2: tissue and the little soap in the soap dispenser salaries, staff,
[49:36] Speaker 2: these tubs, people getting free baptism shirt. Somebody got to
[49:40] Speaker 2: give to it. And you know the crazy thing about
[49:44] Speaker 2: it is less than five percent of all Christians tithes.
[49:50] Speaker 2: Did you hear what I just said? So all of
[49:52] Speaker 2: the transformation that has happened because of the Church, from
[49:55] Speaker 2: hospitals to people's homes being saved, to people being rescued
[49:59] Speaker 2: out of that has high been with five not even
[50:01] Speaker 2: a tithe of Christians. What would happen? What could we do?
[50:10] Speaker 2: How could we change the city? Could we change an industry?
[50:13] Speaker 2: We can't do nothing because we don't have resources, because
[50:16] Speaker 2: people are paying people who are wicked, because somehow you
[50:22] Speaker 2: trust a wicked man with your resources and not And
[50:27] Speaker 2: I get it. There been some bootleg preachers. No, come
[50:32] Speaker 2: on your building fund ain't never gotten done that. Everything leaking,
[50:35] Speaker 2: but we done gave all to the building fun I
[50:38] Speaker 2: get it. But the fruit will speak. And I don't
[50:44] Speaker 2: know if you've ever been about of church that's been
[50:46] Speaker 2: more generous than transformation church. Hear me when I say this,

[50:52] Speaker 2: we were gonna represent and represent what it meant to
[50:55] Speaker 2: actually live generously. And in the ten years that we
[50:59] Speaker 2: have been the senior pastors of this church, because of
[51:02] Speaker 2: the great foundation that Bishop and Pastor Debu laid for us,
[51:05] Speaker 2: we've given away over thirty four million dollars. Y'all don't
[51:09] Speaker 2: know in the claus And so the truth of the matter,
[51:15] Speaker 2: the truth of the matter is I get it. You
[51:17] Speaker 2: don't get it. I get it. And it's hard when
[51:23] Speaker 2: you've never actually done the principle in your life. For
[51:28] Speaker 2: any business or company to set aside that much money
[51:31] Speaker 2: to give to other churches and other people, that would
[51:33] Speaker 2: be insane to most people. And it's the only reason

[51:58] Speaker 2: one because giving is a practical practice that proves my
[52:05] Speaker 2: faith every fifteen days. Don't tell me you trust God,

[53:06] Speaker 2: I like, but I want people to I want everybody
[53:10] Speaker 2: else to get it. Like, it's not cool for you
[53:14] Speaker 2: to be the only few people who like get the
[53:16] Speaker 2: principal and that everybody think you get it because you're
[53:19] Speaker 2: the pastor. Some people like I bet you do get it.
[53:23] Speaker 2: It's like, hold on, wait, when you give, I don't
[53:26] Speaker 2: get the money. I don't touch some money, Like I
[53:28] Speaker 2: don't like I get a paycheck just like everybody. Like,
[53:31] Speaker 2: it's not the same. It's I gotta trust God with
[53:34] Speaker 2: everything that comes to my house the same way you
[53:37] Speaker 2: gotta trust them with everything that comes to your house.
[53:41] Speaker 2: I've been doing this since I made twenty nine thousand
[53:43] Speaker 2: dollars a year. I want to be very clear, with you.
[53:49] Speaker 2: My whole time check for the year was twenty nine hundred,
[53:55] Speaker 2: and I was faithful. I have friends that know, like, yo,
[53:59] Speaker 2: I can't go to that because I got some things
[54:01] Speaker 2: to handle, and only things to handle was keeping my
[54:05] Speaker 2: word to God. And it changed in me before it
[54:12] Speaker 2: changed for me. Once it changed in me, God's like,
[54:16] Speaker 2: thank you Lord, Now I can trust them. The amount
[54:20] Speaker 2: of increase that God has done would make most men
[54:24] Speaker 2: turn into a different person. I only can say this
[54:30] Speaker 2: because I've lived through it. I see how them celebrities
[54:33] Speaker 2: go from broke to then like they get all this
[54:36] Speaker 2: money doing all kinds of wild stuff. It's because money
[54:40] Speaker 2: just exposes what's on the inside and brings it out.
[54:44] Speaker 2: And that's why the change in me first. And so
[54:47] Speaker 2: when I think about the things, the progression of giving,
[54:51] Speaker 2: I want to give it to you like this. It
[54:53] Speaker 2: starts with your thinking. If you think tithing is foolishness,
[55:00] Speaker 2: that's the first category that most people are in when
[55:04] Speaker 2: they don't have an understanding. And I want to say,
[55:06] Speaker 2: there may be some people watching online, a part of
[55:08] Speaker 2: this service or in this room that think everything that
[55:11] Speaker 2: I'm saying right now is foolishness. You may not say

[56:36] Speaker 2: good person. If you're here, you're not mean or crazy
[56:43] Speaker 2: or it doesn't make sense outside of God. But in
[56:49] Speaker 2: the Kingdom, it's a command. Are you fighting or are
[57:00] Speaker 2: you fearing? If you're past that and you've progressed to
[57:06] Speaker 2: this next place, this is where you're at. This's a
[57:09] Speaker 2: fun one. Some of y'all are wrestling through this message

[1:20:09] Speaker 2: bad things, had very selfish ways, but with a mighty hand,

[1:28:04] Speaker 2: treasure is, your heart will be also. And when I
[1:28:10] Speaker 2: started giving God on my small little salary, making little money,
[1:28:13] Speaker 2: producing for people and stuff like that, and I started
[1:28:15] Speaker 2: making a priority every time I give five hundred dollars,
[1:28:18] Speaker 2: I give fifty every time. And I made it a priority.
[1:28:21] Speaker 2: I was consistent with I was intentional with it. It
[1:28:24] Speaker 2: was the last piece of my heart that God needed
[1:28:30] Speaker 2: to help change my habits. Because when God gets your
[1:28:34] Speaker 2: heart he can help change your habits. But I was
[1:28:38] Speaker 2: holding back a piece of my heart because I wasn't
[1:28:40] Speaker 2: given him my treasure. But where my treasure is, there's

[1:32:21] Speaker 2: Christian was trying to keep him away from it. And
[1:32:23] Speaker 2: the man looked out he said, ain't that some water
[1:32:26] Speaker 2: right there? Let's get baptized. So there are some people
[1:32:29] Speaker 2: in this room that you're saying, you know what, I'm
[1:32:33] Speaker 2: not gonna wait till next Sunday. I know people are leaving,
[1:32:35] Speaker 2: but this is your day right now. You're saying, I
[1:32:39] Speaker 2: want to make a new declaration and a new decision today.
[1:32:43] Speaker 2: I'm opening up the service. I'm gonna have a praise team,
[1:32:46] Speaker 2: go back into praise. What about my clothes, what about
[1:32:49] Speaker 2: my hair? All of those things can be washed later today.
[1:32:54] Speaker 2: If you want to make a decision for Jesus, I

[1:32:58] Speaker 2: off and I need the church. I'm beginning to clap
