This week's host Desi Lydic joins Daily Show writer and producer Matt O'Brien to recap the latest news, and preview the week to come. They talk about whether Trump's White House press ban for CNN, MS NOW, and Politico is part of a larger push toward state-run media, the president's announcement that his controversial D.C. arch will also serve as a military facility armed to the teeth, and Trump's upcoming meeting with Chinese President Xi to discuss AI amid fevered warnings that the technology could spell doom for humanity. Plus, Desi and Matt share stories from the Emmys and gear up for this week's guests: Jessica Tarlov, Tom Morello, and Merritt Wever. -- The Daily Show airs weeknights at 11/10c on Comedy Central.
