[0:00] Speaker 1: Scrubbing in with Beca Tilly and Tanya rad and iHeartRadio
[0:04] Speaker 1: and two times People's Choice Award winning podcast. Hello everybody,
[0:13] Speaker 1: we are scrubbing it out.
[0:17] Speaker 2: Oh.
[0:19] Speaker 1: I'm sitting in tanya seat that she sits in for
[0:21] Speaker 1: the morning show and her volume is quite loud.
[0:26] Speaker 2: Yeah that's how I like life, loud and blaring.
[0:29] Speaker 3: Wow.
[0:29] Speaker 1: Yeah, huh, Well I live a very quiet, calm life.
[0:33] Speaker 1: So this was jarring.
[0:34] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[0:36] Speaker 1: Mark and Easton were both blown away.
[0:38] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[0:39] Speaker 1: Rough, we needed Oh no, I was saying it was
[0:41] Speaker 1: high energy.
[0:42] Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, great, rough and great because.
[0:44] Speaker 1: It's the first Monday of Spring forward, which is I
[0:48] Speaker 1: lose an hour of sleep.
[0:51] Speaker 2: So brutal this morning.
[0:53] Speaker 1: Yeah, your text at six point thirty, I was like, nauseit. Well,
[0:57] Speaker 1: I was nauseous for multiple reasons, but I was increased
[1:00] Speaker 1: my nausea that I was already feeling.
[1:02] Speaker 4: I think the problem is because I can't go to
[1:04] Speaker 4: bed early on Daylight Savings for some reason. It's harder
[1:07] Speaker 4: for me to fall asleep obviously because it's an hour earlier,
[1:12] Speaker 4: and so then I end up staying up later than
[1:14] Speaker 4: I'm used to.
[1:15] Speaker 2: So then my alarm in the morning is.
[1:16] Speaker 1: Just like m tough, tough.
[1:20] Speaker 2: Yeah, so we're struggling, but we're here.
[1:23] Speaker 1: We're here on a Monday. Yeah, when we're back in
[1:27] Speaker 1: the studio, all of us together, it's been.
[1:29] Speaker 5: A minute, has been a minute? That's great.
[1:31] Speaker 1: Yeah, last week we were in the Bahamas. Mark, wasn't there?
[1:34] Speaker 1: A week before we were in the oo, know we
[1:37] Speaker 1: were here? Wasn't here?
[1:39] Speaker 4: Oh?
[1:40] Speaker 1: Yeah?
[1:40] Speaker 2: Were we in the other studio at something a week before? Yeah?
[1:45] Speaker 2: We're nothing if not nimble.
[1:48] Speaker 5: We roll with those punches. Yeah, nimble quick, yeah.
[1:52] Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. Put us wherever you want us and we
[1:55] Speaker 2: will podcast.
[1:56] Speaker 1: Yeah, you want to throw us in the Bahama studio?
[1:59] Speaker 5: Bye bye, bad removed staff, willy nilly.
[2:02] Speaker 1: Make it work.
[2:03] Speaker 2: We'll make it work, rain or shine.
[2:05] Speaker 1: Well, that's what you get when you've been podcasting for
[2:08] Speaker 1: almost ten years. I know it'll be nine years this September.
[2:12] Speaker 2: September.
[2:13] Speaker 4: I was thinking about that the other day because someone
[2:17] Speaker 4: was like, are you still doing that podcast?
[2:18] Speaker 2: I was like yeah, yeah, and he goes, what do
[2:21] Speaker 2: you guys talk about? I was like, I don't know.
[2:23] Speaker 2: Tune in, tune in, Why don't you give.
[2:26] Speaker 1: Us the damad? It is funny. When I sat next
[2:30] Speaker 1: we flew back from the Bahamas, and I sat next
[2:34] Speaker 1: to this lovely gentleman who we were quiet the whole flight.
[2:38] Speaker 1: You know, it was a thirty minute flight from the
[2:40] Speaker 1: Bahamas to Fort Lauderdale. But at the end when we landed,
[2:43] Speaker 1: he was in the window seat. So he's like, oh,
[2:45] Speaker 1: he was showing me something that we were flying over that,
[2:47] Speaker 1: oh the hard Rock cafe, the big guitar building, and
[2:52] Speaker 1: so he's like, oh, have you ever seen this? And
[2:54] Speaker 1: I was like, oh, no, it's cool. So he was
[2:56] Speaker 1: really nice, and he was, you know, chit chatting with me,
[2:58] Speaker 1: and Tanya is in front of me. So I'm in
[3:01] Speaker 1: the middle seat. I have this guy next to me
[3:02] Speaker 1: and then Tanya Haley on my other side, and I
[3:05] Speaker 1: can see Tanya in front of me through the crack
[3:07] Speaker 1: of the chairs, also in her window seat, filming me,
[3:12] Speaker 1: and I don't know that.
[3:13] Speaker 4: I'm just laughing that she got sat next to a Tanya,
[3:15] Speaker 4: so like, I have to capture this.
[3:17] Speaker 1: But this man doesn't know that lore So I'm like
[3:22] Speaker 1: praying to God that he can't see her filming us.
[3:26] Speaker 1: And so I'm like chit chatting, trying to pay attention
[3:29] Speaker 1: to him, knowing that Tanya's like got her iPhone on me,
[3:33] Speaker 1: and I was going to where with that?
[3:39] Speaker 3: I think you got there, didn't you?
[3:42] Speaker 1: I don't know. I thought I had a point to me.
[3:45] Speaker 2: I actually enjoyed that.
[3:46] Speaker 4: You actually enjoyed having conversation with a stranger on an airplane.
[3:50] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, sure, it's fine. I mean because we had landed.
[3:53] Speaker 1: I'm fining to talk once I've landed, because I'm already
[3:55] Speaker 1: I'm not.
[3:57] Speaker 3: By the way for a minute to start a conversation.
[4:02] Speaker 1: But what my point was that he asked, He was like, oh,
[4:05] Speaker 1: what were you in the Bahamas? Moara? Again, I'm trying
[4:07] Speaker 1: to explain that we were there doing a podcast at
[4:09] Speaker 1: this new podcast studio Baha Mar And he goes, oh,
[4:13] Speaker 1: what's your podcast about or what's your podcast called? And
[4:17] Speaker 1: I go, well, it's called Scrubbing In And he goes, oh,
[4:20] Speaker 1: it's like a medical podcast. I go no, we were
[4:23] Speaker 1: like obsessed with Gray's Anatomy and it kind of started there,
[4:26] Speaker 1: and it's just it's been almost nine years, so it's
[4:31] Speaker 1: you know, we get the name. Yeah, And he goes, oh, well,
[4:34] Speaker 1: what do you all talk about? And I was like, huh,
[4:36] Speaker 1: also a tough question. Just our lives me and this
[4:41] Speaker 1: girl who's filming us, she's.
[4:44] Speaker 2: A great, great way to slide it in there.
[4:49] Speaker 1: So yeah, it is. It's it's funny, it is. It
[4:52] Speaker 1: goes deep with the lore of scrubbing in because unless
[4:56] Speaker 1: you've been here from the beginning, how do you describe
[4:58] Speaker 1: it to somebody?
[4:59] Speaker 2: You can't. But I love that, like we're still doing it.
[5:03] Speaker 1: We do, We're still doing it. I like that, Yeah
[5:08] Speaker 1: we are.
[5:09] Speaker 2: I think it's nice. It is comforting.
[5:11] Speaker 1: Brings me comfort, and I hope it brings you all
[5:14] Speaker 1: comfort who are listening to me.
[5:15] Speaker 2: I will just uh.
[5:18] Speaker 4: Because Beccho was talking about the flight back, I got
[5:20] Speaker 4: sat next to a lady who decided to take her
[5:22] Speaker 4: shoes off.
[5:27] Speaker 2: Proceeded to.
[5:29] Speaker 4: And like, maybe this is my karma because I eat
[5:31] Speaker 4: like smelly food all the time.
[5:33] Speaker 2: But she put she had like you know how like
[5:35] Speaker 2: they have.
[5:36] Speaker 4: Those body oils and they're in like those small brown
[5:39] Speaker 4: containers essential oils. Essential oils. Yeah, because I was very
[5:43] Speaker 4: into them for a while, so I was familiar with
[5:45] Speaker 4: the bottle. But she smelled of this like the essential
[5:48] Speaker 4: oil that they ask you like if you want to
[5:50] Speaker 4: get a massage, like the one that you do not
[5:52] Speaker 4: want on you you know, like that's what she was
[5:54] Speaker 4: slathering all over her. It was like I saw her
[5:56] Speaker 4: pull it out of her backpack and like slathered it
[5:58] Speaker 4: on her wrist and then she went to go put
[5:59] Speaker 4: it on her feet, and I was like the bare
[6:03] Speaker 4: feet next to me was.
[6:05] Speaker 1: She had her bare feet out the whole time?
[6:07] Speaker 5: Dogs out, wild.
[6:09] Speaker 1: Dogs out on the plane might be one of the
[6:11] Speaker 1: craziest social What are you like a faux paul? I
[6:16] Speaker 1: don't know, whatever you call that, just like disrespect, the
[6:20] Speaker 1: lack of respect.
[6:22] Speaker 2: I couldn't get over it. And I don't know.
[6:25] Speaker 4: I don't know if she had tennis shoes on that
[6:27] Speaker 4: she slid off, or if she was wearing sandals. I
[6:29] Speaker 4: can't see because the shoes were under her backpack. Oh,
[6:33] Speaker 4: she could have been like Nativa's or something.
[6:35] Speaker 1: And still you should, if anything, just for the sake
[6:38] Speaker 1: of cleanliness, you keep them on, keep the germs away.
[6:42] Speaker 2: I agree.
[6:43] Speaker 1: Do you think she saw you before she sat down
[6:45] Speaker 1: and said I need to get my oils out and
[6:47] Speaker 1: lather up.
[6:49] Speaker 5: My black liquorc oils. You're being here.
[6:51] Speaker 2: Somewhere, so it was quite the journey.
[6:55] Speaker 3: Yeah, where are you guys on? Removing shoes on a
[6:58] Speaker 3: flight now barefoot, I think we all can agree is reprehensible.
[7:02] Speaker 3: What about just slipping off your shoes. You're there in
[7:04] Speaker 3: your socks, Like, is that acceptablettom plan?
[7:06] Speaker 2: It's pretty gross.
[7:07] Speaker 1: So if it's a long overnight flight, I'm taking my
[7:09] Speaker 1: shoes off.
[7:10] Speaker 2: Sure, yeah, long overnight flight.
[7:12] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a longer flight than three hours. I go
[7:15] Speaker 1: shoes off. Otherwise, my shoes are single on. Why do
[7:17] Speaker 1: I need to take them off?
[7:19] Speaker 4: I'd say five hours is appropriate to take your shoes off.
[7:22] Speaker 1: Yeah, five hours. I'm saying you sang three huh more
[7:27] Speaker 1: than three hours.
[7:28] Speaker 3: You're saying a three hour minimum for shoes off, tewing,
[7:30] Speaker 3: you're saying a five hour minimum.
[7:31] Speaker 2: For shoes off.
[7:33] Speaker 1: So you're saying, well, did you not take your shoes
[7:35] Speaker 1: off on the way to Florida? That was less than
[7:39] Speaker 1: five hours? It's five hours? Just right? Five? Okay?
[7:42] Speaker 2: Yeah?
[7:43] Speaker 1: And you kept your shoes cross country and you kept
[7:45] Speaker 1: your shoes on?
[7:46] Speaker 2: No, I did not.
[7:47] Speaker 1: Well, I'm confused. I feel like I'm lost in the
[7:49] Speaker 1: sauce that's happening.
[7:51] Speaker 2: Let's cut even at four hours, so.
[7:54] Speaker 1: You need to keep them on if it's four hours,
[7:58] Speaker 1: ha ha, But that's still the same amount of time,
[8:02] Speaker 1: whether you're up or not. If you want to be
[8:05] Speaker 1: comfortable for that amount of time, mark where are you
[8:08] Speaker 1: standing on it.
[8:08] Speaker 3: I will slip my shoes off, but I leave my
[8:11] Speaker 3: socked my socked feet on my shoes. You know what
[8:14] Speaker 3: I'm saying, Oh.
[8:16] Speaker 5: Your feet don't leave the like sock, general realm of
[8:19] Speaker 5: the shoe.
[8:20] Speaker 3: Correct, They're right there with the shoes. So it's not
[8:22] Speaker 3: obvious to anyone that I have done this.
[8:24] Speaker 4: Oh, you're putting your shoes up in the overhead compartment
[8:28] Speaker 4: right and.
[8:28] Speaker 3: I'm not putting my sock up on the I don't know,
[8:30] Speaker 3: arm rest in front of me, anything like that. You're
[8:32] Speaker 3: not even gonna notice. But if I go to the bathroom,
[8:34] Speaker 3: those shoes are right back on. Walking to the bathroom
[8:37] Speaker 3: and socks or bare feet barf.
[8:39] Speaker 1: If you are if you, first of all, if your
[8:44] Speaker 1: dogs are out on the plane barefoot, jail time yeah.
[8:48] Speaker 1: If you're going to the restroom, dogs out wild.
[8:54] Speaker 2: Literal prison for life, yeah.
[8:56] Speaker 1: And if you if you're dabbling with socks on in
[8:59] Speaker 1: the bathroom. Sometimes I look at the bathroom floor and
[9:01] Speaker 1: I'm like, did someone just did a man? Just like
[9:04] Speaker 1: throw weird?
[9:07] Speaker 4: I have to just tell myself that it's just like
[9:09] Speaker 4: water from the hand washing. I have to tell myself
[9:12] Speaker 4: that because I can't go down the darker path.
[9:15] Speaker 1: It's upsetting.
[9:16] Speaker 2: It is upsetting.
[9:16] Speaker 1: Connectiquette is very fascinating.
[9:18] Speaker 2: It is not universal. It's not universal, not one size
[9:21] Speaker 2: fits all. No, it's not no.
[9:24] Speaker 1: And I'll be honest, Like when we when we went
[9:26] Speaker 1: to Japan in December, it's so fascinating how everything is
[9:31] Speaker 1: so clean and tidy and there's no trash anywhere, And
[9:35] Speaker 1: I'm like, what is it that Americans in their brains
[9:39] Speaker 1: can't keep things nice and clean? What is that?
[9:42] Speaker 2: Yeah, it's tough.
[9:44] Speaker 1: Like have respect for your things. You should be able
[9:47] Speaker 1: to go to a public restroom and not feel like
[9:49] Speaker 1: you were going to contract a disease.
[9:51] Speaker 4: Yeah, I started flushing with my shoes. I used to
[9:55] Speaker 4: flush with my hands, not anymore.
[9:58] Speaker 5: That I'm kind of split on.
[10:00] Speaker 3: I am torn on.
[10:01] Speaker 5: That because then that just guarantees that the handles is
[10:05] Speaker 5: going to be filthy.
[10:05] Speaker 3: Yeah right, you're ruining it for future people.
[10:08] Speaker 2: Well, people have ruined it for me.
[10:09] Speaker 4: I the last time I touched one, it was wet,
[10:12] Speaker 4: and that is when I said game over.
[10:14] Speaker 2: I am not anymore.
[10:16] Speaker 1: Their foot up and had stepped on pea and then
[10:18] Speaker 1: they washed it with their foot.
[10:19] Speaker 4: If you sprinkle, why you tinkle, be as sweetie and
[10:22] Speaker 4: wipe the CD.
[10:23] Speaker 1: Oh that's lovely.
[10:25] Speaker 2: Okay, it's a great rhyme, I know, but nobody seems
[10:27] Speaker 2: to do that.
[10:28] Speaker 1: No, I That's what I'm saying.
[10:29] Speaker 2: It is, so now you get the shoe.
[10:31] Speaker 1: I just really encourage everyone to be thoughtful that maybe
[10:34] Speaker 1: someone's going to come in after you keep your socks on.
[10:40] Speaker 5: I did on the flight to the Bahamas. I wore
[10:42] Speaker 5: crocs on the plane for I think the first time.
[10:45] Speaker 5: I typically wear like regular shoes, and they say on
[10:48] Speaker 5: these crocs I wore had bare feet printed on top
[10:51] Speaker 5: of them, like it was there was a I think
[10:53] Speaker 5: I saw it was. Yeah. So some people thought I
[10:56] Speaker 5: had my dogs out when I was walking onto the plane,
[10:59] Speaker 5: which made me laugh.
[11:00] Speaker 1: Wow.
[11:00] Speaker 5: But I slipped them off for a little bit in
[11:02] Speaker 5: the middle of a flight, and I felt like I
[11:03] Speaker 5: was living so dangerously. I didn't have feet. I was
[11:06] Speaker 5: wearing socks in the crocs and crocks. Slipped them off
[11:11] Speaker 5: for like thirty seconds, stretch my feet, put the crocs
[11:14] Speaker 5: back on. I felt we're doing it.
[11:16] Speaker 2: I didn't like it.
[11:18] Speaker 1: Well, I'm glad we got that out of the way
[11:19] Speaker 1: to know where everyone stands. But we're all on the
[11:21] Speaker 1: same page. Mostly.
[11:25] Speaker 2: There was other earth shattering news this weekend. I'm gonna
[11:29] Speaker 2: get get to make it back.
[11:32] Speaker 1: Okay.
[11:35] Speaker 5: If there's one thing our audience loves, it's commercial.
[11:58] Speaker 1: We're back, We're back. What happened this weekend?
[12:06] Speaker 4: So I don't know if you guys heard, but a
[12:08] Speaker 4: little guy by the name Harry Styles released an album
[12:12] Speaker 4: he did.
[12:16] Speaker 2: Is anybody as excited as I?
[12:17] Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think anyone in this room is as
[12:20] Speaker 1: excited as you are, but we're excited.
[12:22] Speaker 4: So it's called Kiss all the Time Disco occasionally, and
[12:27] Speaker 4: I have to say that this might be my favorite
[12:31] Speaker 4: work of art from Harry Styles himself. Wow, And it's
[12:36] Speaker 4: a lot of words. It's big words to say it
[12:38] Speaker 4: is it is? But I really mean it.
[12:40] Speaker 1: What can you tell us your highlights of the album?
[12:43] Speaker 4: Yes, So it's very funny because I was seeing a
[12:46] Speaker 4: lot of scuttle on the internet this weekend about like
[12:50] Speaker 4: some of the lyrics and how like he's saying not
[12:53] Speaker 4: a lot in this album. Some of the songs do
[12:56] Speaker 4: have some crazy ridiculous lyrics that don't seem to mean anything,
[12:59] Speaker 4: which I can give them credit for. But then there's
[13:01] Speaker 4: some deep meaning in some of these songs, so it's
[13:03] Speaker 4: like a it's a.
[13:04] Speaker 2: Mixed bag, you know, yeah, yeah, yeah, which he's allowed
[13:07] Speaker 2: to do.
[13:07] Speaker 1: What were some of the outrageous lyrics that don't have meaning.
[13:11] Speaker 2: That I'd have to do a little digging on my phone?
[13:13] Speaker 4: Okay, but I think that it was in I think
[13:16] Speaker 4: it was in the Waiting Game or are you listening yet?
[13:18] Speaker 4: But my favorite favorite favorite song on the album is
[13:21] Speaker 4: American Girls.
[13:22] Speaker 1: I like that one too. That was what you predicted
[13:25] Speaker 1: you would love.
[13:26] Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, I did, and I didn't know, Like I
[13:29] Speaker 4: knew nothing about the album, and I thought that'd be
[13:30] Speaker 4: my number one, and it is my number one.
[13:32] Speaker 2: My number two is Taste Back.
[13:34] Speaker 1: Oh I like to Tastepec too.
[13:36] Speaker 2: Yes.
[13:36] Speaker 4: My number three is ready said he go. And that's
[13:39] Speaker 4: my tops up, my top three. And then honorable mention
[13:41] Speaker 4: goes to Carla's song.
[13:42] Speaker 1: M We always love when there's a name in the song. Yeah,
[13:48] Speaker 1: I listened up until coming up Roses and I haven't
[13:52] Speaker 1: finished out no because no no, I had it. I
[13:57] Speaker 1: kind of have had a weirdly busy weekend and I forgot.
[14:02] Speaker 1: But here's the thing. The first up until that point,
[14:05] Speaker 1: I realize all I want to do is garden and
[14:09] Speaker 1: go float in our pool hot tub and listen to
[14:12] Speaker 1: this album because it flows. It's like a flow, like
[14:15] Speaker 1: you just want to like Garden.
[14:18] Speaker 2: Garden.
[14:19] Speaker 4: I did not take any edibles. I listened to it
[14:21] Speaker 4: totally sober and enjoyed it thoroughly.
[14:23] Speaker 1: I know, but it makes me want I'm saying it
[14:26] Speaker 1: makes me want to do that.
[14:27] Speaker 4: It's an It's an album to be enjoyed sober or
[14:30] Speaker 4: under the influence.
[14:31] Speaker 1: Totally, and I want to do it under the influence.
[14:35] Speaker 2: So you're waiting until you're gonna do that?
[14:37] Speaker 1: No, no, no, I was saying. When I was listening
[14:39] Speaker 1: to it this morning, I was like, Oh, I just
[14:41] Speaker 1: want to get high and want to listen to this
[14:43] Speaker 1: and float in the pool. Oh but I I loved
[14:47] Speaker 1: Harry's How so much.
[14:50] Speaker 2: That did too.
[14:51] Speaker 1: That I'm so fascinated that you say it's your favorite
[14:54] Speaker 1: of all because Harry's House is one of my favorite albums,
[14:56] Speaker 1: just like period of any artist. I know.
[14:59] Speaker 2: Wow. I know it was big words, but I mean
[15:02] Speaker 2: them like I genuinely mean them.
[15:04] Speaker 1: I believe you.
[15:04] Speaker 4: Yeah, and I actually it was like a big thing
[15:07] Speaker 4: because you know how Robbie feels by Harry styles jealous,
[15:10] Speaker 4: a little bit.
[15:11] Speaker 1: Jealous, and only jealousy Robbie has ever shown.
[15:14] Speaker 4: Literally, And we were doing a lot of stuff on
[15:17] Speaker 4: the house this weekend, and so I kept asking him like, hey,
[15:19] Speaker 4: can we listen to Harry's album?
[15:20] Speaker 2: Can we listen to Harry's album? And we listened to
[15:22] Speaker 2: it five times? So he like, are so no speakers?
[15:26] Speaker 2: Which was a lot. Yeah, he loves it too, He
[15:30] Speaker 2: loves it too.
[15:31] Speaker 5: Wow.
[15:31] Speaker 4: I tried to get in to watch the Netflix special
[15:35] Speaker 4: that didn't go over so well. So I'll be watching
[15:37] Speaker 4: that on my own later today.
[15:38] Speaker 1: But you don't want to watch it? I mean no, Well, yeah,
[15:44] Speaker 1: it runs deep.
[15:45] Speaker 2: It runs deep. Yeah he knows the lore. Yeah, of course, yeah,
[15:50] Speaker 2: we all do. Yeah, and could have been heard about me,
[15:54] Speaker 2: but no proof or nying.
[16:00] Speaker 1: Yeah no, there's no denying.
[16:02] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[16:02] Speaker 1: Hey, did you ever figure out what scissor sisters meant?
[16:05] Speaker 1: Or we just still like hold both holding the scissors together.
[16:12] Speaker 3: I wasn't there for that, but I enjoyed that on Instagram.
[16:16] Speaker 1: I still haleys like does she does she get it?
[16:20] Speaker 1: I'm like, I don't know, so.
[16:25] Speaker 2: I understand now, okay what scissor sisters are.
[16:29] Speaker 4: However, I still feel as though if we were to
[16:33] Speaker 4: have cut the ropes together, we would have been scissor sisters.
[16:38] Speaker 1: Maybe.
[16:39] Speaker 2: I mean every scissor sister has a scissor.
[16:43] Speaker 1: Yeah. No, you can just be holding scissors, which doesn't
[16:46] Speaker 1: happen a lot though, Like it didn't even happen for us. Yeah,
[16:49] Speaker 1: I know.
[16:50] Speaker 2: We did not get to hold the scissors. Those were
[16:52] Speaker 2: one man scissor holds.
[16:53] Speaker 1: Tonya was pretty far away actually for all.
[16:57] Speaker 5: As far as you could be from the scissors. No,
[17:00] Speaker 5: I was so sad.
[17:01] Speaker 4: I was like the one person that wanted a scissor sister,
[17:03] Speaker 4: and like I got kicked to the curb.
[17:06] Speaker 1: You could have been a scissor brother and sister. Yeah,
[17:09] Speaker 1: just done it with you. Yeah, but okay, well I
[17:11] Speaker 1: was just checking in to make sure.
[17:13] Speaker 4: Thanks for the heads up in the moment, like we
[17:16] Speaker 4: got to leave a sister struggling.
[17:18] Speaker 1: A sister was struggling. Yeah, that's the high five. I
[17:23] Speaker 1: was like, I can't really high vibe you too hard
[17:26] Speaker 1: on this.
[17:27] Speaker 2: Why is that another innuendo?
[17:30] Speaker 1: Fine? No, because you're like Scissor Sister, and I was like, oh,
[17:33] Speaker 1: I can't do that, no, but I was laughing because.
[17:39] Speaker 2: Later was it.
[17:40] Speaker 1: Over the weekend, Tanya sends me this reel and she
[17:43] Speaker 1: was like, oh, I thought this would be cute for
[17:44] Speaker 1: us to do, and then they kissed at the end.
[17:48] Speaker 2: It was like this really cute, real like two best friends.
[17:50] Speaker 2: And it was like, I can't remember what the sentiment was.
[17:52] Speaker 1: I don't think they were best friend.
[17:53] Speaker 4: I thought they were best friends. And then at the
[17:55] Speaker 4: very end they just started making out. I was like, oh,
[17:57] Speaker 4: I wanted to recreate this, and then it just went
[18:00] Speaker 4: a different direction.
[18:01] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a fine line everything up until kiss. So yeah,
[18:06] Speaker 1: you ever see, I think our algorithm switched because of hers.
[18:10] Speaker 1: She's get.
[18:15] Speaker 4: You know what that reminded me of though I left
[18:17] Speaker 4: those when I went to go Scissor Sister, high five you.
[18:20] Speaker 4: I was wearing these bangles and I left the Bengals
[18:23] Speaker 4: in the studio in Baha Mar.
[18:25] Speaker 2: Yes, and they are my favorites. So now we have
[18:28] Speaker 2: to go back to get them.
[18:29] Speaker 1: Let's go anytime anytime? Oh man, Oh my gosh, how
[18:36] Speaker 1: wedding anniversary is coming up?
[18:38] Speaker 4: I know it's this weekend, which actually so last weekend,
[18:42] Speaker 4: we were going to the mall to like run some errands.
[18:47] Speaker 4: We had to like make some returns and like get
[18:48] Speaker 4: a couple of things, and then it was dinner time,
[18:50] Speaker 4: so we were just gonna have dinner at the mall
[18:53] Speaker 4: and Robbie was like, oh, like, I'm like looking forward
[18:56] Speaker 4: to like some like a date night with you, And
[18:58] Speaker 4: I was like, this is not a date night. We're
[19:00] Speaker 4: literally running errands and grabbing food at the mall. And
[19:03] Speaker 4: he was like, no, any quality time that we have
[19:06] Speaker 4: together is like a date night. It's Friday night. So
[19:08] Speaker 4: I post it on Instagram. And every time I post
[19:11] Speaker 4: something on Instagram to like get people on my side,
[19:14] Speaker 4: it always backfires and everybody always votes not on my side.
[19:19] Speaker 5: I was shocked by that day.
[19:20] Speaker 3: I'm with you on right.
[19:22] Speaker 5: I think it has to be a specifically plainned thing.
[19:24] Speaker 4: Yeah, it's intentional, Like me and you are gonna go
[19:27] Speaker 4: have a meal and you're gonna dress cute or do
[19:29] Speaker 4: whatever you want and like pick you up at six hmmm,
[19:32] Speaker 4: five thirty.
[19:33] Speaker 1: I disagree.
[19:35] Speaker 2: You think going to the mall to return stuff is
[19:37] Speaker 2: a date.
[19:38] Speaker 1: Yeah, anything's a date if you want to make it
[19:40] Speaker 1: a date. Time together is a date.
[19:43] Speaker 2: Your settings where I need to be in life.
[19:45] Speaker 1: So if you were if you were just going and
[19:47] Speaker 1: doing errands and it was like business and there was
[19:50] Speaker 1: no dinner involved and like sitting down and like having
[19:53] Speaker 1: a meal together, I'd be like, sure, that's just running
[19:55] Speaker 1: errands and like.
[19:56] Speaker 2: But the dinner was just a product of the fact
[19:59] Speaker 2: of the time, which we were going to the mall.
[20:01] Speaker 1: But did y'all sit down and have a meal together?
[20:03] Speaker 2: We did, But just because it was dinner time and
[20:06] Speaker 2: it was at the mall, and it was at the mall.
[20:07] Speaker 1: It's a date. Nothing more romantic than an erin date
[20:10] Speaker 1: night at the mall.
[20:11] Speaker 2: Oh my god.
[20:13] Speaker 1: Like, if Haley and I do that, she'd be like, Babe,
[20:15] Speaker 1: that was so fun. I had the best night with you.
[20:19] Speaker 1: She loves an errand she loves the mall.
[20:22] Speaker 5: I think if you and Robbie weren't married and you
[20:24] Speaker 5: did that, I would think you were in the friend zone.
[20:26] Speaker 1: That's what I said.
[20:27] Speaker 4: I was like, if we weren't married and some guy
[20:29] Speaker 4: said I want to take you to run errands with
[20:31] Speaker 4: me and go grab food for as a date, I'd
[20:33] Speaker 4: be like.
[20:34] Speaker 1: That's so intimate to me, going to run errands and
[20:36] Speaker 1: do returns together is like such an intimate thing to
[20:40] Speaker 1: do together. I'm not trying to do that with a stranger.
[20:43] Speaker 1: I want to do with a friend or with my partner.
[20:45] Speaker 2: Wow, this is very polarizing.
[20:48] Speaker 1: Clearly y'all need to romanticize life a little bit more.
[20:52] Speaker 4: I realized maybe I need to be like romanticize the
[20:55] Speaker 4: day to day, the mundane.
[20:57] Speaker 2: Nah, the mundane on the Monday, Monday, on a Monday.
[21:02] Speaker 1: I'm actually shocked about you, Easton, Thank you Easton.
[21:05] Speaker 5: I mean, like I've done some we do daty things
[21:09] Speaker 5: all the time, but I really think that, like there
[21:11] Speaker 5: can't be a chore involved, because.
[21:12] Speaker 1: That you consider an air like a chore.
[21:15] Speaker 5: Yeah, even if we're having a blast, which we typically are,
[21:18] Speaker 5: it still is a date. If we're going to ikeaes.
[21:22] Speaker 2: You take for granted how much time we spent together.
[21:25] Speaker 5: I was like, whoaow.
[21:28] Speaker 2: Brah, he went there, he went there.
[21:32] Speaker 1: Well, it's only it's been a not only a year somehow,
[21:35] Speaker 1: it's been a year into y'all's wedding, which marriage a
[21:40] Speaker 1: year since the wedding? Yeah, yeah, year into your marriage. Sure, However,
[21:45] Speaker 1: the day like isn't that what you're celebrating on the
[21:48] Speaker 1: one year universary or.
[21:49] Speaker 2: One year marriage anniversary.
[21:51] Speaker 1: From when you got married at your wedding. Yeah, okay, okay,
[21:57] Speaker 1: what are y'all doing?
[22:00] Speaker 4: We are gonna go to dinner and we're gonna say
[22:03] Speaker 4: our vows to each other again, not like in front
[22:07] Speaker 4: of people, but like just to each other.
[22:09] Speaker 2: Could you imagine you saying up at the restaurant, We're like, hello, everybody, we.
[22:14] Speaker 1: It's our anniversary.
[22:15] Speaker 2: Yeah, please every every uh what do you call them?
[22:21] Speaker 1: You know, it's so funny. Okay, I have this idea
[22:25] Speaker 1: that if I it's just a concept, if you secretly
[22:29] Speaker 1: told all of your friends and family to come to
[22:32] Speaker 1: the restaurant and you rented out the restaurant, and then
[22:35] Speaker 1: Robbie showed up and it was everyone from the wedding
[22:37] Speaker 1: at the restaurant for your anniversary. You know, that's such
[22:42] Speaker 1: a fun concept. He's a tough.
[22:47] Speaker 2: Guy everyone on earth. Should I try to do that?
[22:53] Speaker 1: Maybe? No? It feels a little rush tight turn around,
[22:58] Speaker 1: but I think I could do it. But like you
[23:00] Speaker 1: walked it in and you run into somebody, You're like,
[23:01] Speaker 1: oh my god, hey, and then you look around and
[23:03] Speaker 1: it's everyone to be so funny.
[23:05] Speaker 2: I doubt I could get everyone, but I can't fight.
[23:08] Speaker 1: But oh, that's it, just like me, Paulleena Cynthia.
[23:13] Speaker 2: Last minute like that. I'm not giving people four days notice.
[23:17] Speaker 1: I'm just saying it's a it's an idea.
[23:20] Speaker 2: It's a cute idea.
[23:21] Speaker 1: Yeah. Anyway, so you're not gonna say your vows, but
[23:23] Speaker 1: you're going to say them to one of the Yeah.
[23:24] Speaker 4: We're gonna say we want to do that every year.
[23:26] Speaker 4: I think we decided every year we want to say
[23:27] Speaker 4: our vows to each other.
[23:28] Speaker 3: Has he found his vows?
[23:30] Speaker 1: No? Oh? Shoot, what kind of.
[23:33] Speaker 4: Dude just writes them on a piece of paper and
[23:36] Speaker 4: then hands them to his wedding planner? And then that
[23:39] Speaker 4: sea like what, I have my like saved on my
[23:43] Speaker 4: computer on a nice word document. I have my bridesmaid speech,
[23:48] Speaker 4: you have your bridesmaid speech, and my husband doesn't even
[23:50] Speaker 4: have his vows. Yeah, so then I guess Ryan took
[23:54] Speaker 4: them from us obviously at the ceremony, and Ryan put
[23:59] Speaker 4: them like his briefcase, and now they're like gone, dang,
[24:03] Speaker 4: Yeah that's tough. So he's gonna have to like watch
[24:06] Speaker 4: the video or something to get his I don't know
[24:09] Speaker 4: how he's gonna do it, but you'd better be doing it.
[24:13] Speaker 1: He might have a brand new said avows. He's like, actually, babe,
[24:17] Speaker 1: I didn't want to do the same bells.
[24:19] Speaker 2: I want to do different ones every year.
[24:21] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[24:23] Speaker 2: Yeah, growth Actually I love that.
[24:25] Speaker 1: So the one year anniversary is paper, right, that's a gift.
[24:28] Speaker 1: So have you are you follow are y'all doing that tradition?
[24:33] Speaker 2: I don't know if he is.
[24:34] Speaker 1: Okay, we have to give him, Robbie a chance. This
[24:37] Speaker 1: is the Valentine's Day conversation. He has to have.
[24:40] Speaker 2: Give the heads up then, Becca.
[24:42] Speaker 1: Okay, I'm gonna I'm gonna check in.
[24:44] Speaker 4: So I if anybody's listening, don't tell him this, but
[24:47] Speaker 4: I does he not listen definitely not to the full episodes,
[24:54] Speaker 4: but he'll listen.
[24:55] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[24:55] Speaker 5: The research shows he tunes out of.
[24:58] Speaker 1: Which we are going to get to it to that.
[25:01] Speaker 4: So I actually like I found this girl on Instagram
[25:05] Speaker 4: who she basically like takes little pieces of like your
[25:09] Speaker 4: relationship and she puts them on she like sketches them
[25:11] Speaker 4: onto like this like painting.
[25:13] Speaker 3: Wow.
[25:13] Speaker 4: And so I'm making like like an art piece. She's
[25:17] Speaker 4: gonna send it rolled up like I'm not. It's not
[25:19] Speaker 4: gonna be like frame. It's gonna be like it's a paper.
[25:22] Speaker 4: And I just gave her kind of like some things
[25:25] Speaker 4: from the wedding, like our first dance, some like little
[25:28] Speaker 4: the colors that we had, like our wedding invitations. I
[25:31] Speaker 4: just sent her to a bunch of stuff and she's
[25:33] Speaker 4: gonna she's not going to create it in time for
[25:35] Speaker 4: our anniversary, but she's gonna basically give me like a
[25:37] Speaker 4: piece of paper that is like a like a moss of.
[25:41] Speaker 2: It or something like that, Yeah, to give to him. Okay, Okay,
[25:44] Speaker 2: so yeah it'll be paper.
[25:46] Speaker 1: Okay, well I really need to give him a heads up. Yeah,
[25:49] Speaker 1: we're on a strict time crunch. R yikes. Yeah okay, Well.
[25:56] Speaker 2: One could say that like a card is technically paper.
[26:00] Speaker 1: Do you be happy with a card?
[26:03] Speaker 2: H Yeah, a nice thoughtful one.
[26:09] Speaker 1: Something he made or not made, but.
[26:13] Speaker 2: Words how the cardley? I really do love a thoughtful card. Okay,
[26:22] Speaker 2: it goes a long way.
[26:22] Speaker 1: Okay, I'll let him know. I'll let him know that
[26:26] Speaker 1: it is paper so he can get as creative as
[26:28] Speaker 1: he wants. But you'll be happy with a card if
[26:32] Speaker 1: that's what he has time for. Yeah, okay, thanks so
[26:35] Speaker 1: much for that.
[26:36] Speaker 2: Let's doing the lord's work. Friend.
[26:40] Speaker 1: Not everyone knows. I never knew about the anniversary stuff
[26:43] Speaker 1: until Easton was telling us about it. So that's not
[26:46] Speaker 1: something that I think is general knowledge, correct, And I
[26:49] Speaker 1: want him to be set up for success.
[26:51] Speaker 2: Yeah, we want him high scores.
[26:54] Speaker 1: Okay, I said that we were going to get to
[26:55] Speaker 1: this later, but I want to talk about something. We're
[26:58] Speaker 1: going to take a break and we'll do it when
[27:00] Speaker 1: we come back.
[27:22] Speaker 2: We're back, We are back, baby.
[27:27] Speaker 1: Tanya said. There was some scuttle in the Facebook group
[27:30] Speaker 1: regarding our episode length.
[27:32] Speaker 2: There was am I'm not the only one that has
[27:34] Speaker 2: seen the scuttle correct.
[27:36] Speaker 1: Well, just like the general the consensus that like they
[27:39] Speaker 1: wish the episodes were longer.
[27:40] Speaker 4: Yeah, they noticed that they were getting shorter, right, right,
[27:43] Speaker 4: So we got researched some time ago, I want to
[27:46] Speaker 4: say a while ago at this point. Yeah, that people
[27:50] Speaker 4: are only tuning in for twenty thirty minutes, so so.
[27:57] Speaker 3: If you do a fifty minute show, you just what.
[27:59] Speaker 2: Yeah, you were talking to ourselves with us, so we're like,
[28:01] Speaker 2: why are we doing that?
[28:02] Speaker 3: Why?
[28:02] Speaker 1: We're happy to do We love talking to ourselves.
[28:05] Speaker 2: We love talking to ourselves. We talk amongst ourselves for
[28:08] Speaker 2: hours and hours on end.
[28:10] Speaker 4: Yeah, and so I think that was kind of like
[28:12] Speaker 4: the encouragement to shorten our episodes, Okay, which is what
[28:17] Speaker 4: we did.
[28:18] Speaker 2: Well.
[28:18] Speaker 4: I had this epiphany the other day because I am
[28:22] Speaker 4: a podcast listener, So I do not just host a podcast.
[28:25] Speaker 2: I am a student of the craft.
[28:27] Speaker 4: I enjoy I just enjoyed listening to people's other people's podcasts. Yeah,
[28:31] Speaker 4: and what I realized is I only listen in increments
[28:35] Speaker 4: of twenty to thirty minutes, even if it's like Hillary
[28:38] Speaker 4: Duffon Call her Daddy. I'll listen on my drive home,
[28:42] Speaker 4: or I'll listen on my part of my walk. But
[28:45] Speaker 4: I never listened to a full episode of any podcast
[28:48] Speaker 4: in one sitting. However, I always come back. I finish
[28:53] Speaker 4: every podcast that I listen to. So I'm like this,
[28:58] Speaker 4: these this information is probably accurate that people listen in
[29:01] Speaker 4: twenty thirty minute increments, But like people come back, they
[29:04] Speaker 4: want more, they want.
[29:06] Speaker 2: To space it out.
[29:07] Speaker 1: That's what I do.
[29:08] Speaker 2: How did I not have that epiphany until like last week?
[29:10] Speaker 1: Well, I think that's what we need to know. Are
[29:12] Speaker 1: people coming back or did they listen to the first
[29:14] Speaker 1: half and then they're like, I've had enough of that.
[29:16] Speaker 2: Yeah, so this is just that's enough. Yeah, so are
[29:19] Speaker 2: you That's what I have.
[29:21] Speaker 4: My question is is the scuttle because they want them
[29:23] Speaker 4: longer because they do come back or are you enjoying
[29:26] Speaker 4: the twenty thirty minute stints?
[29:29] Speaker 1: Yeah? It's like, well, I guess it also depends when
[29:31] Speaker 1: are you listening, because not many people in life. I
[29:34] Speaker 1: mean I do, but not many people have like an
[29:38] Speaker 1: hour or hour and a half where they can just
[29:40] Speaker 1: sit and zone out and listen to something unless you're
[29:42] Speaker 1: doing that instead of watching TV or like yeah, your
[29:45] Speaker 1: nighttime routine, or you're on a commute that you have
[29:48] Speaker 1: a long commute. But I would imagine if someone has
[29:50] Speaker 1: a commute, let's say it's a twenty thirty minute commute,
[29:53] Speaker 1: they're listening to the first half on the way there,
[29:55] Speaker 1: and then maybe on the way back they tune back in. Right,
[29:58] Speaker 1: So we just need to know are you coming back
[30:01] Speaker 1: after the mode? Because we can talk all day if
[30:08] Speaker 1: you need.
[30:08] Speaker 2: Us, We could talk all day every day.
[30:10] Speaker 1: Not in fact, I oh, I don't have that much
[30:14] Speaker 1: to say that people don't want to listen to.
[30:16] Speaker 2: But I would love to do this every day.
[30:19] Speaker 1: Well, I'm not doing an hour show every day. I
[30:22] Speaker 1: literally don't have content for that.
[30:24] Speaker 3: That was the discussions. Rather than if you're doing ninety
[30:27] Speaker 3: minutes a week, let's say, are you better off doing
[30:29] Speaker 3: two forty five minute episodes or four twenty two minute episodes?
[30:34] Speaker 3: Oh right, what's better for the listener? Don't know, just
[30:38] Speaker 3: thrown it out. That was the discussion.
[30:40] Speaker 1: I guess if if we did an episode and it
[30:43] Speaker 1: was like a certain length and then we were chopping
[30:45] Speaker 1: it up into twenty minute episodes, I'd be so annoyed
[30:48] Speaker 1: if I was trying to listen and then I was like, what,
[30:50] Speaker 1: I don't get to hear the rest of this till tomorrow.
[30:53] Speaker 5: By saying hi and goodbye something like yeah, yeah.
[30:57] Speaker 1: We got a lot of highs and goodbyes and we're backs. Yeah,
[31:01] Speaker 1: So it's just something that we're curious about.
[31:03] Speaker 4: On your end, you know what I will say, I'm
[31:05] Speaker 4: like more invigorated and like motivated and inspired ever than lately,
[31:11] Speaker 4: lately than ever.
[31:14] Speaker 1: I don't know what you're trying to say.
[31:16] Speaker 2: I'm more invigorated now than ever than ever before, than
[31:20] Speaker 2: ever before.
[31:21] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[31:21] Speaker 2: Wow, Like I'm going to start the artist's way I
[31:23] Speaker 2: told you yesterday.
[31:24] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, Well we've talked about doing that many times.
[31:26] Speaker 4: But now I'm like feeling the vigor inside me, Like
[31:29] Speaker 4: there's something inside me that wants to like repolish. Not
[31:33] Speaker 4: change our podcast, but like repolish fine tune and with
[31:37] Speaker 4: other things in my life.
[31:39] Speaker 1: Beautiful.
[31:40] Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a springtime thing, I think, Yeah, spring forward.
[31:45] Speaker 4: I don't know, there's something in like in me, like
[31:47] Speaker 4: I've got.
[31:47] Speaker 1: This, like something has changed within me. Wait, did you
[31:53] Speaker 1: watch the Love Is Blind finale? Yes?
[31:57] Speaker 2: Can we talk about it? I'd love nothing more because you.
[32:00] Speaker 1: Know with here's the thing with certain shows, it's like
[32:04] Speaker 1: people talk about it for a day or two and
[32:06] Speaker 1: I don't care. So if we're gonna do.
[32:08] Speaker 4: It, let's talk about Love is Blind. Do not let
[32:10] Speaker 4: me forget to talk about traders at the end in
[32:12] Speaker 4: the Burken Well, okay, just remind me.
[32:16] Speaker 1: Here's my thoughts on Love is Blind. A quick recap
[32:21] Speaker 1: spoiler alert if you haven't watched. First of all, DeVante
[32:26] Speaker 1: and Brittany, I want to just shake her and be
[32:30] Speaker 1: like girl.
[32:32] Speaker 4: First of all, they did her so dirty on that edit,
[32:35] Speaker 4: and those producers knew what they were doing when they
[32:37] Speaker 4: were doing that. That was a dirty edit, truly, Yeah,
[32:41] Speaker 4: and because it made her look desperate, so desperate.
[32:45] Speaker 1: But here's the thing. The girl bought a wedding dress
[32:48] Speaker 1: before she came on the show. So there's nothing wrong
[32:50] Speaker 1: with that. And I knew you would say that, and
[32:52] Speaker 1: I knew you would say that.
[32:54] Speaker 4: But like she was manifested to record that that is
[32:58] Speaker 4: a proactive queen.
[33:00] Speaker 2: That is going to sign that that is.
[33:01] Speaker 1: Going to scare men.
[33:04] Speaker 2: Is not the right one.
[33:06] Speaker 1: Maybe, no, Tonia Robbie.
[33:09] Speaker 4: If I had bought a wedding dress prior to meeting Robbie,
[33:13] Speaker 4: he'd still be my husband, guaranteed.
[33:16] Speaker 1: If you told him that the first date.
[33:18] Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna ask him.
[33:19] Speaker 1: He's of course, baby, because he knows this is going
[33:22] Speaker 1: on the podcast. But I know the truth. I know
[33:25] Speaker 1: his truth, and that is that he would have been
[33:28] Speaker 1: freaked out. Here's the thing, Davante is my nightmare personally.
[33:34] Speaker 1: He had he She literally is like, I know you're
[33:37] Speaker 1: not someone that's ever gonna gush over me or tell
[33:39] Speaker 1: me I'm pretty. And he's just like nodding looking at her.
[33:43] Speaker 1: And of course I don't know if that was an edit.
[33:44] Speaker 1: Maybe he said, of course, I think you're pretty and
[33:49] Speaker 1: gush over you, but that's not what we saw. And
[33:51] Speaker 1: then we hear her saying, and then he goes, I
[33:56] Speaker 1: have to go. We'll be in touch.
[33:59] Speaker 2: Yeah, we will be in touch. Is so darkness, it's
[34:03] Speaker 2: so dark.
[34:03] Speaker 1: And then the next clip is her going, which again
[34:06] Speaker 1: I get editing and producing, but it's like, I'm ninety
[34:10] Speaker 1: eight percent sure we're gonna.
[34:11] Speaker 2: Gea get married. Yeah, And I'm like, I just want
[34:13] Speaker 2: to shake her.
[34:14] Speaker 1: She's so beautiful, she's got her thing, she's got, she's independent,
[34:18] Speaker 1: she's got everything going. She's just she wants to be
[34:21] Speaker 1: married so badly that it's like she has blinders on
[34:24] Speaker 1: for all the red flags.
[34:25] Speaker 2: But that happens to people. So let this be a
[34:27] Speaker 2: warning to us all.
[34:29] Speaker 1: Don't let that happen.
[34:30] Speaker 2: Don't let that happen, not just in relationships like that
[34:33] Speaker 2: can happen in like life and.
[34:35] Speaker 1: Career, like yeah, I mean it's like, no, you're worth,
[34:37] Speaker 1: know you're worth, and ad tax and attacks and then
[34:43] Speaker 1: Alex Alex and Ashley that, Okay, I'm proud of you.
[34:48] Speaker 4: I'm very proud of you for knowing all of their names,
[34:50] Speaker 4: because if that does not put the little chiron underneath,
[34:54] Speaker 4: like I am lost, Like I'm like I cannot I
[34:57] Speaker 4: don't know what anybody's names are.
[34:58] Speaker 1: I'm like the blonde girl in the song player. Yeah,
[35:01] Speaker 1: you know who I'm talking about. So he terrifies me.
[35:06] Speaker 1: The way he speaks is so almost like threatening, and
[35:10] Speaker 1: I don't know how to explain that further. Then that's
[35:12] Speaker 1: what I feel when he speaks, because it's like a
[35:14] Speaker 1: master liar.
[35:15] Speaker 4: But it's like he makes you seem like it's actually
[35:18] Speaker 4: really scary because I think there's men out there like that.
[35:20] Speaker 4: But he makes you like, he makes you feel like
[35:23] Speaker 4: he's not lying, he's telling you the truth, when actually
[35:26] Speaker 4: he's like fully lying and spinning stories. But the way
[35:29] Speaker 4: he's saying it makes you sound like you're crazy.
[35:31] Speaker 1: It's a script that he's memorized. In my how I
[35:34] Speaker 1: viewed it is it's a script that he's memorized so
[35:37] Speaker 1: well that he thinks it's true, right, and so for
[35:39] Speaker 1: you to question him is like how dare you? Which
[35:42] Speaker 1: is scary.
[35:43] Speaker 2: That's called a narcissist.
[35:45] Speaker 1: It's called manipulation.
[35:46] Speaker 4: But my favorite thing was it's like his wedding day
[35:49] Speaker 4: and Alex has a piece of fuzz in his beard
[35:53] Speaker 4: he's got some cracker like he looks like he eats
[35:55] Speaker 4: saltine crackers and just like put his hand in his hair.
[35:59] Speaker 2: He was like, I'm assaulting crackers and it's all over
[36:01] Speaker 2: his beard. I was like, why is nobody helping him?
[36:04] Speaker 2: It's his wedding day and he's got crackers all in
[36:07] Speaker 2: his beard and hair.
[36:08] Speaker 1: I don't think anyone likes him, No, clearly not.
[36:11] Speaker 2: It's all I could watch the whole time. I could
[36:13] Speaker 2: knock it.
[36:14] Speaker 1: Over that, and I totally think that he would have
[36:16] Speaker 1: said yes, yeah, because he needs her. She's like successful
[36:20] Speaker 1: and comes from it seems like it comes from a
[36:22] Speaker 1: well off family. Yeah, and he's like a nomad who
[36:25] Speaker 1: has wants to have a bunker in New Zealand in
[36:28] Speaker 1: a house in Dubai. I'm like, what the hell, how
[36:31] Speaker 1: are you doing that? As a soccer coach?
[36:35] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it was crazy.
[36:38] Speaker 1: So I was really happy that she said, I don't
[36:40] Speaker 1: even need to hear your answer because it's not God.
[36:43] Speaker 4: I feel like, and I'm all for like a woman
[36:46] Speaker 4: standing on business, but I felt like it wasn't her,
[36:50] Speaker 4: Like I felt like she was being pushed to just
[36:54] Speaker 4: like really lay in thick on him and it just
[36:56] Speaker 4: didn't feel like her, you know what I mean.
[37:00] Speaker 1: Well, I'm glad whoever got into her head she did it, but.
[37:03] Speaker 2: I feel like she did it to an extent that
[37:05] Speaker 2: was like a little too much.
[37:08] Speaker 1: Yeah, personally, I know what you're saying. Like someone was
[37:10] Speaker 1: like you need to.
[37:11] Speaker 4: Just like lay it on him and give it to him,
[37:13] Speaker 4: and you know what I mean, she was just they
[37:14] Speaker 4: were like working her up to just like unleash.
[37:17] Speaker 1: Well yeah, because they're probably has he touched you? He
[37:20] Speaker 1: said that you're not his tie.
[37:21] Speaker 2: Like it felt like she was wound up, like somebody
[37:23] Speaker 2: had wound her up.
[37:24] Speaker 1: Probably her dad. I feel like her dad was like
[37:26] Speaker 1: thank god.
[37:28] Speaker 3: Uh, the.
[37:30] Speaker 2: The reunion is airing this week. M just a note
[37:33] Speaker 2: to Netflix. I don't enjoy waiting a week for the reunion.
[37:39] Speaker 1: Yeah, Like I'd rather just see it right right after.
[37:42] Speaker 4: And like, I don't know if you've seen my algorithm
[37:44] Speaker 4: was like all these people on TikTok being like anyone
[37:46] Speaker 4: else watched the the final episode of Love is Blind
[37:49] Speaker 4: like this, and she's like fast forwarding until like the
[37:52] Speaker 4: parts where they say I do or I don't, yeah,
[37:54] Speaker 4: because it's like it is, it's.
[37:56] Speaker 1: Kind of filler they could actually do all the idea.
[38:00] Speaker 1: Do is the wedding part in a thirty minute increment,
[38:02] Speaker 1: and then do the.
[38:03] Speaker 2: Reunion and give us what we want when we want it.
[38:05] Speaker 5: For the reunion, is this like because it was taped
[38:08] Speaker 5: a while ago?
[38:09] Speaker 2: Yeah?
[38:09] Speaker 5: Really? So is the reunion that was that taped like
[38:13] Speaker 5: this week?
[38:13] Speaker 1: Yes?
[38:14] Speaker 4: I don't know. Actually because last year, the last season,
[38:19] Speaker 4: like one of the contestants had a baby.
[38:22] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[38:22] Speaker 2: I do you think the reunions filmed like kind of
[38:24] Speaker 2: closer to in real time, which might be why they don't.
[38:28] Speaker 1: Well, allegedly DeVante has a fiance and a child on
[38:31] Speaker 1: the way. Sure, yeah, no, no, yeah, shoo yeah. And
[38:38] Speaker 1: then apparently Amber and Jordan had I guess no not
[38:41] Speaker 1: Amber and Jordan's don't don't don't tell me.
[38:46] Speaker 2: Yes, Okay, they're.
[38:47] Speaker 5: Gonna say the exact same thing as a joke.
[38:51] Speaker 1: I heard you, and I was like, he's been turcastic.
[38:53] Speaker 2: But I'm being so sincere, like they are my precious too,
[38:57] Speaker 2: I need them to the broken up.
[38:59] Speaker 1: Well, I don't know, but in the reunion, she walks
[39:01] Speaker 1: off the stage. And then I've heard rumors that they
[39:03] Speaker 1: had both said that they weren't going to say yes,
[39:05] Speaker 1: and then they did and it threw everyone off. That's
[39:08] Speaker 1: the rumor I heard, so stay tuned.
[39:10] Speaker 4: Oh no, the two precious ones that got married. I
[39:13] Speaker 4: need them to stay married forever, like they are precious girl, Sine, Christine.
[39:20] Speaker 4: They're gonna they might have three babies by now.
[39:23] Speaker 2: Yeah, I love I need them to last.
[39:26] Speaker 5: Amber. So sorry, I'm trying to get caught up here spoilers.
[39:30] Speaker 5: Amber injured, and there were rumors that they had both
[39:32] Speaker 5: planned to say no, and Amber posted on Instagram a
[39:39] Speaker 5: screenshot of a text to someone named Laura saying, for me,
[39:44] Speaker 5: it's still a yes and has always been a yes.
[39:47] Speaker 5: I typically now. I totally understand Jordan's skepticism. However, I
[39:50] Speaker 5: think it was very important for us to talk this
[39:52] Speaker 5: past week for me to truly understand that if he
[39:54] Speaker 5: says no on Sunday, we're still playing on going forward
[39:56] Speaker 5: with our relationship regardless. I know he's dead set on
[39:59] Speaker 5: saying no right now, and I have decided not to
[40:01] Speaker 5: pressure him, but he does saw the chance to meet
[40:03] Speaker 5: Emma tomorrow, which may change everything. Again. We have made
[40:06] Speaker 5: it clear to each other that we are okay either way,
[40:08] Speaker 5: even if he isn't ready to say yes on Sunday
[40:10] Speaker 5: and she goes on Okay.
[40:11] Speaker 4: It seems like it's little teddy Bear, and like I
[40:13] Speaker 4: think that she's like had bad relationships in her past,
[40:16] Speaker 4: and like I just feel what you disagree, you disagree what.
[40:22] Speaker 1: I just don't know that they make sense as much
[40:26] Speaker 1: as people are trying to make them make sense together.
[40:28] Speaker 2: How do they not?
[40:29] Speaker 1: Well, like he doesn't want to move because he likes
[40:30] Speaker 1: to go into bars and concerts, and it's like she
[40:33] Speaker 1: has a daughter that needs to stay in a certain
[40:35] Speaker 1: area for her school and stuff.
[40:37] Speaker 2: And it's like, well, relationships are compromise.
[40:40] Speaker 1: Yeah, I hope compromise.
[40:41] Speaker 2: They could move in the middle.
[40:44] Speaker 1: City. And the daughter was crying and I don't know
[40:47] Speaker 1: how to process that. That felt dark to me.
[40:49] Speaker 2: She's at the reunion.
[40:50] Speaker 1: No, she was crying at the wedding when they said okay. Anyway,
[40:58] Speaker 1: So I'm excited to see what goes down. I hope
[41:00] Speaker 1: it's interesting. Sometimes, you know how I feel about reunions.
[41:03] Speaker 4: I get I love and I love love love, and
[41:06] Speaker 4: I feel like I'm watching a lot of TV shows
[41:08] Speaker 4: right now that are one by one weekly episodes, and
[41:11] Speaker 4: it's so treacherous.
[41:14] Speaker 2: Is that the word I'm looking for, like hard, Yeah,
[41:16] Speaker 2: so hard, It's so hard.
[41:18] Speaker 5: I love it the pit right now, and I love
[41:21] Speaker 5: the indie.
[41:22] Speaker 4: Episode a week like I feel like I haven't seen
[41:24] Speaker 4: an episode of Paradise in a month.
[41:26] Speaker 1: There's a new one today, I know, but we watched
[41:28] Speaker 1: it last night.
[41:30] Speaker 2: I watched it last Monday. Well to night's your night,
[41:33] Speaker 2: I know, but it's like been done, Like what happened
[41:36] Speaker 2: that lad last episode? I don't remember.
[41:37] Speaker 1: That's why there's a recap at the beginning of every episode. Okay, wait,
[41:40] Speaker 1: you wanted to talk about the Burken and Rob and Mara.
[41:43] Speaker 4: Yes, okay, because I never thought about this and I
[41:46] Speaker 4: saw a couple people from Traders talking about it, So
[41:50] Speaker 4: spoiler alert.
[41:52] Speaker 2: From Rob wins the Traders and he what we're talking
[41:57] Speaker 2: about this?
[41:57] Speaker 4: But Maura, he promised Maura a bag which is like
[42:01] Speaker 4: fifteen thousand dollars.
[42:02] Speaker 1: Okay, okay, ten thousand is like the minimum for a
[42:05] Speaker 1: Burken bag.
[42:07] Speaker 2: They can go anywhere up to like twenty five, say.
[42:09] Speaker 1: Like tens like the minimum minimum. I can go up
[42:11] Speaker 1: to a one hundred thous it can go up.
[42:12] Speaker 2: Oh it can't.
[42:13] Speaker 5: Oh yeah that was hard to get, Like you can't
[42:15] Speaker 5: you have to No, no, you can't.
[42:18] Speaker 2: You can't just like walk into a store list right,
[42:20] Speaker 2: You have to build.
[42:21] Speaker 1: You have to like purchase other items at Ermez.
[42:24] Speaker 5: Samantha Lu's name to get Sex and the City.
[42:28] Speaker 4: Oh my god, I never understood that until now. Yeah,
[42:33] Speaker 4: you can't just like go in and buy one. And so, uh,
[42:38] Speaker 4: he bought her this bag. I don't know how much
[42:40] Speaker 4: it costs about the specific bag that she got. But
[42:43] Speaker 4: Rob also revealed on the reunion that he now has
[42:45] Speaker 4: a girlfriend, and I was like, if you were Rob's
[42:49] Speaker 4: girlfriend and you're watching him buy this beautiful woman a
[42:53] Speaker 4: Burken bag, would you be jealous?
[42:57] Speaker 1: Yeah?
[42:58] Speaker 2: Right, So did he buy one for his new girlfriend?
[43:00] Speaker 1: But that seems maybe she doesn't want one though, and
[43:03] Speaker 1: maybe she doesn't want to. Maybe she's like, I don't
[43:05] Speaker 1: need a Burken but like I would like your life,
[43:08] Speaker 1: so i'd more so be like I need some reassurance,
[43:12] Speaker 1: a like public display of affection and no attention. Yeah,
[43:15] Speaker 1: but she also might not want it because she might
[43:17] Speaker 1: be like, here's the thing that's hard with Robin Mora specifically,
[43:21] Speaker 1: is they had a lot of chemistry and like people
[43:24] Speaker 1: make fan edits of them and It's like the girlfriend
[43:26] Speaker 1: probably can't even escape seeing those things, right, So I'm
[43:30] Speaker 1: hoping she's either just a very confident, secure person and
[43:33] Speaker 1: is like this is just a bit for this publicity,
[43:39] Speaker 1: or she's having some really serious conversations with him.
[43:43] Speaker 2: I was like, wow, Actually I never thought about the girlfriend.
[43:45] Speaker 4: Like if I saw my hot boyfriend buying a Birken
[43:50] Speaker 4: bag for Maura Higgins, I'd.
[43:51] Speaker 5: Be like, yeah, the bag was allegedlar They think it
[43:55] Speaker 5: was sixteen grand is the bag and he won?
[43:58] Speaker 2: What? Yeah?
[44:00] Speaker 1: I think that I think Dad. I think that he
[44:07] Speaker 1: he's not like playing into the romance of it. He's
[44:10] Speaker 1: very like, here, I got to the bag that I
[44:12] Speaker 1: promise you. Like, everything's very matter of fact with him.
[44:15] Speaker 1: So I do think he's being very respectful on how
[44:17] Speaker 1: he's navigating it.
[44:19] Speaker 2: Yes, I agree that.
[44:20] Speaker 1: That happened and was filmed way before he met his girlfriend.
[44:22] Speaker 1: He made that promise before she was even in the picture,
[44:25] Speaker 1: it seems, so it's like he's he's fulfilling the promise
[44:28] Speaker 1: that he made to someone. And I think he's also
[44:31] Speaker 1: being very like just dry. He's not like flirting with her.
[44:35] Speaker 2: No, I agree.
[44:35] Speaker 1: I think they just have natural chemistry, which sucks with
[44:38] Speaker 1: the girlfriend. But I don't think he's being disrespectful. Yeah,
[44:41] Speaker 1: and I'm sure he was like, hey, I would love
[44:43] Speaker 1: to buy you at Broken Back too, do you want one?
[44:46] Speaker 1: And maybe she was like, I'm good, bro, it's been
[44:48] Speaker 1: two months. Relax. Maybe she's got the upper hand.
[44:52] Speaker 2: Yeah, we don't know. Maybe she's a big question marked
[44:55] Speaker 2: to me.
[44:56] Speaker 1: She's very pretty.
[44:57] Speaker 2: You've seen her.
[44:58] Speaker 1: Yeah, she's gorgeous. I'm a TikTok sleuth.
[45:02] Speaker 2: Can you send me some videos? I'd like to see
[45:04] Speaker 2: her myself.
[45:05] Speaker 1: Yeah, she's pretty all right. Well, we are ending the
[45:10] Speaker 1: episode now, yes we are, but we look forward to
[45:13] Speaker 1: your feedback as always.
[45:15] Speaker 2: Yeah, I am looking forward back, looking forward to this.
[45:18] Speaker 5: If you made it this far, let us know.
[45:21] Speaker 2: Yeah, let's give him a code word.
[45:23] Speaker 1: If you are one of twenty people who made it
[45:25] Speaker 1: this far, Messa.
[45:26] Speaker 2: Just taste back. It's a Harry style song. No, yeah,
[45:32] Speaker 2: taste back, yeah sure, paint by numbers, I mean good,
[45:36] Speaker 2: it's very specific.
[45:37] Speaker 1: So taste back if you If you made it this far,
[45:42] Speaker 1: and we love you so much, we will be back
[45:44] Speaker 1: on Thursday with the dear Bonia, So don't worry you
[45:47] Speaker 1: haven't heard the last of us this week. You love
[45:49] Speaker 1: you love you
