[0:00] Speaker 1: Scrubbing In with Becka Tilly and Tanya rad and iHeartRadio
[0:04] Speaker 1: and two times People's Choice Award winning.
[0:07] Speaker 2: Podcast, Hello Everybody.
[0:15] Speaker 3: Are scrubbing in. I was just matching your town. We
[0:21] Speaker 3: are scrubbing in, Hello everybody. Tonya is in Mexico.
[0:31] Speaker 2: I am in Mexico, but her voice is here. That's right.
[0:36] Speaker 3: We are actually pretaping this episode because Tanya and Robbie
[0:39] Speaker 3: are on their actual one year celebration of marriage in Mexico.
[0:44] Speaker 3: Hopey'all are having a great time over there.
[0:46] Speaker 4: I know.
[0:47] Speaker 2: It's so funny.
[0:47] Speaker 4: After our anniversary, like the first day after, I was like,
[0:50] Speaker 4: we're in our second year of marriage, Like, I hope
[0:53] Speaker 4: the excitement and like the everybody's always everybody always tells
[0:56] Speaker 4: me that we're still on the honeymoon phase, and I'm like,
[0:58] Speaker 4: I hope that never goes way.
[1:01] Speaker 3: It's the honeymoon phase is there as long as you
[1:04] Speaker 3: keep it there.
[1:06] Speaker 5: I think, so mindset you think?
[1:08] Speaker 3: Do you know what's so interesting? I used to like,
[1:11] Speaker 3: I think this during a time where maybe Haley and
[1:13] Speaker 3: I were like not communicating our best or something a
[1:17] Speaker 3: couple of years into our relationship, and I would romanticize
[1:20] Speaker 3: the honeymoon face so much like I'd be like like
[1:22] Speaker 3: nostalgic for it, and now like we're about to have
[1:26] Speaker 3: our eight year anniversary and it is crazy. I am
[1:29] Speaker 3: literally like this is my favorite stage of our relationship.
[1:32] Speaker 3: Like I don't crave that at all because I feel
[1:35] Speaker 3: like we're like I feel so safe and like healthy.
[1:38] Speaker 3: And I think in that phase it was like exciting
[1:40] Speaker 3: and like new and obviously she was the first woman
[1:42] Speaker 3: and I'm falling in love for the first time, and
[1:44] Speaker 3: it was like, ah, scrambled thoughts, but it was exciting.
[1:47] Speaker 3: But I like also wasn't sleeping because it was like yeah, yeah, well,
[1:52] Speaker 3: just like it's like the excitement. And also she was
[1:54] Speaker 3: on tour and we were like learning how to communicate,
[1:57] Speaker 3: and I romanticize it, but we actually were going through
[2:00] Speaker 3: a lot because we were getting to know each other
[2:02] Speaker 3: and learn each other. And now I'm just like, oh,
[2:05] Speaker 3: I love right now.
[2:06] Speaker 4: I literally do the exact same thing. Like I romanticize
[2:09] Speaker 4: the beginning. I'm like, oh, We're never gonna have that
[2:11] Speaker 4: like that feeling when we were newly dating and like
[2:14] Speaker 4: finding out all these things, you know, like now we
[2:16] Speaker 4: know each other like the back of our hands, yeah,
[2:19] Speaker 4: and you're so right in the beginning, Like I'm like,
[2:21] Speaker 4: we broke up in the beginning, you know, I mean
[2:23] Speaker 4: it was rough waters the first year, and I forget
[2:25] Speaker 4: the like the navigating and like finding our footing as
[2:29] Speaker 4: a couple, because it's true you romanticize like all those
[2:32] Speaker 4: like butterflies, the giddiness and the like the heat of
[2:35] Speaker 4: it all, and like, I'm so with you. I've been
[2:37] Speaker 4: wrote like in our anniversary card, I'm like, I actually
[2:40] Speaker 4: didn't think that I would love him more than I
[2:42] Speaker 4: did on our wedding day, and I love him more today,
[2:44] Speaker 4: like because when you go through life experiences and like
[2:48] Speaker 4: you go through hard things, like seeing the way he's
[2:51] Speaker 4: shown up for me, like it just it's like you
[2:54] Speaker 4: can't compare to that.
[2:57] Speaker 3: Well. I also think speaking to your situation, Uh, you
[3:02] Speaker 3: you have these moments that are not that y'all haven't
[3:05] Speaker 3: had hard moments, but you have like everything you marry
[3:09] Speaker 3: someone and you're like, oh, it's the high moments. The
[3:11] Speaker 3: good moments are so great, and I have this person
[3:13] Speaker 3: so easy to love each other. But then you go
[3:16] Speaker 3: through something hard and that's how you really see, like
[3:18] Speaker 3: how is this partner I've chosen, Like where are they
[3:21] Speaker 3: going to be for me in this because you don't
[3:23] Speaker 3: know until you know, right, and you couldn't have known
[3:25] Speaker 3: that was going to come within the first year of
[3:27] Speaker 3: your marriage, but you got like a very quick like
[3:32] Speaker 3: who Robbie is?
[3:33] Speaker 4: Yeah, And like I had so many girls message me
[3:35] Speaker 4: saying like you're so lucky that you have someone that
[3:39] Speaker 4: like makes it a priority to come to all your
[3:40] Speaker 4: appointments with you. Like I didn't have that, and like
[3:43] Speaker 4: it was never even a question, Like I didn't even
[3:46] Speaker 4: I wasn't even asking him to come with me. It
[3:48] Speaker 4: was just like I'll be there type of thing, you know,
[3:50] Speaker 4: And like that's the type of stuff that like really matters.
[3:53] Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I'm glad we've we've all found that.
[3:58] Speaker 2: Ye yeah for us eight years, Like you're almost at
[4:02] Speaker 2: a decade.
[4:03] Speaker 3: I know, we're almost a decade. It's like it's so
[4:06] Speaker 3: weird to think of the time as eight years, but
[4:08] Speaker 3: in my mind it doesn't. It's like all blurred into
[4:10] Speaker 3: like three.
[4:11] Speaker 2: Like eight, Like you're combing close to a decade.
[4:13] Speaker 3: I know. That's I think, like common law marriage, isn't
[4:16] Speaker 3: that like seven years?
[4:17] Speaker 5: I think it is.
[4:18] Speaker 3: We've already that's old news.
[4:21] Speaker 4: Yeah, we speaking of are you getting asked a lot
[4:25] Speaker 4: when you guys are getting married every day?
[4:27] Speaker 3: Oh?
[4:27] Speaker 4: Because I get asked a lot, and I'm like, it's
[4:31] Speaker 4: probably what Why what.
[4:34] Speaker 3: If I told? What? If I was like, yeah, we're
[4:35] Speaker 3: already married, that'd be.
[4:37] Speaker 2: Epic for you. No, it's just like in general.
[4:41] Speaker 3: Like yeah, no, but I really do. I always tell
[4:47] Speaker 3: people like this year, specifically up until the summer, is
[4:50] Speaker 3: Haley's movie, because it's her baby and she's worked on
[4:53] Speaker 3: it for so so long that I don't even want
[4:55] Speaker 3: her to think about planning what. I'm like, you and
[4:57] Speaker 3: I you're to get we're together forever and like I
[5:00] Speaker 3: can't wait to marry you and have the wedding and
[5:02] Speaker 3: plan that. But like all your attention needs to go
[5:04] Speaker 3: on this movie because it's the year of the movie girls.
[5:08] Speaker 3: Like girls, do you have me June nineteenth being your
[5:10] Speaker 3: b in theaters?
[5:11] Speaker 4: I do feel like like I because we just hit
[5:14] Speaker 4: the year, Like I was remembering how much of Like
[5:18] Speaker 4: my Men. It was literally all I had in my
[5:20] Speaker 4: brain for four months. Your wedding, Yeah, yeah, like the planning,
[5:25] Speaker 4: the details, Like it's so much in your head that
[5:29] Speaker 4: like I couldn't imagine having a movie coming out and
[5:33] Speaker 4: trying to do that at the same time.
[5:35] Speaker 3: And that's what I told her. I'm like, listen, I
[5:37] Speaker 3: don't really want to. I also don't want to plan
[5:39] Speaker 3: this alone, so like, I don't. I'm not expecting you
[5:42] Speaker 3: to be no, no, no, like with my making partner decisions,
[5:48] Speaker 3: my own decisions like dress and stuff, like I'll be sourcing.
[5:52] Speaker 3: Hayley wants to go trial dresses together. I'm like, babe, no,
[5:56] Speaker 3: we can't see each other's dress.
[5:58] Speaker 6: She's like, but that's so fun and it's a tricky
[6:02] Speaker 6: one though I see the desire to do.
[6:05] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[6:06] Speaker 3: No, I know it's fun, but.
[6:08] Speaker 2: Yeah, you're putting your foot down right.
[6:12] Speaker 3: Yeah no, I'm like, you're I'm torn about the first
[6:16] Speaker 3: look of it all because I heard of me I'm
[6:18] Speaker 3: down the aisle. But I'm torn on it because I
[6:22] Speaker 3: have pros and cons for both. Like I love the
[6:24] Speaker 3: like piece of like getting to see each other before
[6:27] Speaker 3: and like having that moment together of like seeing each
[6:30] Speaker 3: other for the first time and not having to be
[6:31] Speaker 3: in front of everybody. But then I love the like
[6:34] Speaker 3: reveal of seeing each other in a wedding. Well, I
[6:37] Speaker 3: don't know what we're wearing wedding attire for the first time. Oh,
[6:42] Speaker 3: I might be in a suit.
[6:43] Speaker 2: You're not going to be in a suit of white
[6:46] Speaker 2: tailored suit yet out of here.
[6:49] Speaker 3: But yeah. So that's why I tell everybody. I'm just like, listen.
[6:52] Speaker 3: If you want to know about the wedding, then you
[6:54] Speaker 3: support the movie.
[6:57] Speaker 4: But like, as the movie comes out, that means you
[6:59] Speaker 4: can start playing the summer right, yeah, which is like
[7:03] Speaker 4: tomorrow it's time is flying, flying Flying.
[7:07] Speaker 3: Speaking of TikTok comments I posted if people just scroll
[7:11] Speaker 3: and don't open comments, because personally, for me, I find
[7:14] Speaker 3: the comments to be my favorite part, like TikTok yes,
[7:19] Speaker 3: because I could see a video that I think is
[7:21] Speaker 3: funny and then I open the comments and I am
[7:23] Speaker 3: like cackling out loud because people are so funny and
[7:27] Speaker 3: creative and there's people that just scroll, never open.
[7:31] Speaker 2: To me, I don't open.
[7:33] Speaker 5: I rushed to the.
[7:33] Speaker 3: Comments, break an ankle, run into the comments. Really, Oh
[7:38] Speaker 3: my gosh, roll.
[7:39] Speaker 4: I don't think I look at comments one iota unless
[7:42] Speaker 4: I'm prompted to.
[7:44] Speaker 3: Well, if you are someone like Tanya who does it,
[7:46] Speaker 3: you have to if you think of video is funny
[7:48] Speaker 3: and it has a lot of comments. Open the comments
[7:51] Speaker 3: and you only have to look at the top like
[7:52] Speaker 3: five to really get a good laugh. It is the
[7:57] Speaker 3: the humor that people possess and the quick wickness and wittiness.
[8:01] Speaker 3: I'm inspired.
[8:02] Speaker 6: Being able to post a photo as a comment on
[8:04] Speaker 6: TikTok elevated the game to an unimaginable level.
[8:08] Speaker 2: What photos are people posting on? Comments?
[8:10] Speaker 3: Like?
[8:10] Speaker 6: The photos are means than some screenshots from the video
[8:14] Speaker 6: we're watching?
[8:14] Speaker 5: Uh, it's great.
[8:16] Speaker 3: It's just beautiful.
[8:17] Speaker 5: Yeah, I love it all.
[8:19] Speaker 3: It's art, really, I agree.
[8:21] Speaker 2: Yeah, Like when I'm watching like the the.
[8:25] Speaker 4: This is the silly one, but the one that people
[8:27] Speaker 4: were like, does anybody else watch The Love is buying
[8:29] Speaker 4: final episode like this, and it's like fast forwarding, do.
[8:31] Speaker 2: The whole thing. I'm like, yeah, that's good. You got
[8:34] Speaker 2: me there, gotcha, gotcha. I'm like, wow, they know me
[8:39] Speaker 2: so well. My algorithm knows me.
[8:42] Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, yeah, it feels good to be known. It's
[8:44] Speaker 3: going to be seen. I also posted, uh, this was
[8:49] Speaker 3: this is my favorite. You know how You'll always say
[8:51] Speaker 3: like how I post questions but I don't put like
[8:52] Speaker 3: an answer box. Yeah, I don't know. I just love
[8:55] Speaker 3: doing it. But every time I posted something's totally random
[8:58] Speaker 3: because it's just a thought I have and I'm like,
[9:00] Speaker 3: I'm gonna post it and see opinions, and all's always
[9:02] Speaker 3: like what what like to everyone? Just like like what
[9:06] Speaker 3: like the water? One? I ask some people like drinking
[9:09] Speaker 3: water or if they just do it because it's good
[9:11] Speaker 3: for them, Like I don't like water. I drink it
[9:13] Speaker 3: because it's good for me. Same and a source of life.
[9:17] Speaker 3: And then people were responding and they're like, there's no
[9:18] Speaker 3: way people like drinking water, but you'd be I would
[9:21] Speaker 3: say fifty percent of the comments are like I love water.
[9:25] Speaker 5: I enjoy water a lot.
[9:26] Speaker 6: Do tastes like nothing, it tastes refreshing. I think it
[9:30] Speaker 6: makes me feel good and it tastes refreshing. Yeah, you know,
[9:33] Speaker 6: I like, I think different beverages serve different purposes, So like,
[9:38] Speaker 6: I don't think i'd ever like like I guess if
[9:39] Speaker 6: I had to choose Coca cola or water, I would
[9:42] Speaker 6: choose water.
[9:43] Speaker 5: But I do like how it tastes tastes really good.
[9:46] Speaker 7: Wow.
[9:46] Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know. I didn't grow like I didn't
[9:49] Speaker 3: my source of hydration growing up was like gatorade.
[9:52] Speaker 2: I didn't know my dad still doesn't believe in water.
[9:55] Speaker 5: My dad doesn't believe in water.
[9:57] Speaker 3: My brother does not drink water. He played in the NFL.
[9:59] Speaker 4: Yeah, you get water and gateorade, you get water and beer,
[10:03] Speaker 4: you get water, and like, yeah, oh god.
[10:07] Speaker 6: My sisters like that, Like she when she needs to
[10:09] Speaker 6: drink more water, she does a glass of water with
[10:11] Speaker 6: like drops of diet coke to like give her the flavor, which.
[10:14] Speaker 5: I think Anne Hathaway does too. I heard that from somewhere.
[10:17] Speaker 4: Wow. Yeah, I don't know, but like I'm I'm the same.
[10:20] Speaker 4: I grew up in like a gatorade. Like we never
[10:23] Speaker 4: had water really in our house.
[10:24] Speaker 2: It was like I grew up with water. Yeah, So
[10:28] Speaker 2: it's so funny.
[10:28] Speaker 3: And I was gonna say people in California. I literally
[10:32] Speaker 3: gonna say, people in California grew up with it. But
[10:33] Speaker 3: you grew up in California. But I associate. I remember
[10:37] Speaker 3: going out to eat with people for the first time
[10:39] Speaker 3: in California, like new friends and I every time I
[10:42] Speaker 3: go out to eat, and we didn't. I didn't grow
[10:44] Speaker 3: up with money. I grew up with like there was
[10:46] Speaker 3: five kids, but we would always get SODA's, like if
[10:49] Speaker 3: we got a meal, we got a soda.
[10:50] Speaker 2: Yeah, and always water for the table.
[10:54] Speaker 3: No, all my friends like said no to a soda
[10:57] Speaker 3: and got went and got the free water. But they're
[11:00] Speaker 3: Hamburger And I was like, how are you washing this
[11:03] Speaker 3: down with water? That was like my first experiencing that,
[11:07] Speaker 3: which I think is so crazy now because the water
[11:11] Speaker 3: is a source of life and it is the best
[11:13] Speaker 3: option for you.
[11:14] Speaker 5: Yeah, it's of our bodies.
[11:16] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[11:16] Speaker 2: But anyways, you know the difference between raising in a
[11:18] Speaker 2: great water water. Yeah, they never lose that image unfortunately.
[11:24] Speaker 3: That sticks with me. That really sticks with me. Yeah.
[11:29] Speaker 2: I grew up not in a waterhousehold too. That's very funny.
[11:32] Speaker 6: Back in like the eighties and seventies, if you were
[11:34] Speaker 6: like at football practice, they would say, don't drink water
[11:36] Speaker 6: because you'll cramp That was like an old wives tale
[11:40] Speaker 6: that thankfully has gone away. But you have these high
[11:42] Speaker 6: school students out there just huffing and puffing in the heat,
[11:44] Speaker 6: and it's like, here to have lemonade.
[11:45] Speaker 5: Don't don't drink water, you'll like cramp up. It's like the.
[11:48] Speaker 3: Exact opposite, well, because it's like thinking that you need electrolytes, right, yes, exactly,
[11:53] Speaker 3: because you're gonna cramp if you don't have the salt.
[11:55] Speaker 5: Yes, I don't believe it.
[11:59] Speaker 3: I think that onto something there.
[12:01] Speaker 2: Speaking of.
[12:03] Speaker 3: Oh it's just.
[12:05] Speaker 2: Right now, I do get parched.
[12:11] Speaker 3: Well. I I've grown to be like, oh, that tastes
[12:14] Speaker 3: really good when I'm thirsty and I go to get
[12:17] Speaker 3: my cold water. But I'm never like, ooh, you know,
[12:22] Speaker 3: it sounds amazing cold glass of water like dico or
[12:25] Speaker 3: dodor pepper or coke zero pepsi pepsi die pepsi and
[12:32] Speaker 3: cherry pepsi. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. So that's a little bit
[12:35] Speaker 3: about us.
[12:36] Speaker 4: You went to a wedding this weekend, or you're going
[12:38] Speaker 4: to a wedding this weekend. When you go from now on,
[12:42] Speaker 4: when you attend weddings, are you going in a different
[12:45] Speaker 4: like with a different lens as like research R and R.
[12:50] Speaker 3: I'll tell you how I approach weddings when we come back.
[12:53] Speaker 7: Oh my goodness, we're back.
[13:15] Speaker 3: So I'm going to a wedding this weekend and we're
[13:17] Speaker 3: going to Palm Springs, And I do think I'm this
[13:22] Speaker 3: is actually the first wedding we'll be going to send
[13:24] Speaker 3: engaged couple being engaged. I'm just like trying to think.
[13:28] Speaker 3: I think so yeah, and so I think this I
[13:31] Speaker 3: probably will approach weddings with a new lens of like,
[13:35] Speaker 3: oh I love that. I love that they did this,
[13:37] Speaker 3: and this is actually two men getting married, so it's
[13:40] Speaker 3: also a gay wedding. And I also think there's certain
[13:45] Speaker 3: things that you probably do different. You know, there's so
[13:47] Speaker 3: much tradition around weddings and like the ceremony of it all.
[13:52] Speaker 3: So I will be approaching it probably from a different
[13:56] Speaker 3: lens in that regard, but thinking about like first dance moment,
[14:00] Speaker 3: do we want to do it? Okay, Like there's just so
[14:02] Speaker 3: many things that.
[14:03] Speaker 4: Have always been There's so many of those, but I
[14:07] Speaker 4: just wanted to be us.
[14:08] Speaker 3: I don't want to I have I'm gonna have to separate.
[14:11] Speaker 3: Am I seeing this because it's what I've always heard
[14:13] Speaker 3: you're supposed to do and is tradition? Or Am I
[14:15] Speaker 3: seeing this because I'm like, oh, I've always dreamed of
[14:17] Speaker 3: getting to do that. Yeah, you know.
[14:19] Speaker 4: Because I think I tell you one thing I did
[14:21] Speaker 4: that Everyone's like, it's tradition, it's beautiful, And I'm like,
[14:24] Speaker 4: in hindsight, why did I do that?
[14:25] Speaker 2: What put the veil over right head?
[14:27] Speaker 3: Oh, you're gonna say that I.
[14:28] Speaker 2: Got my lipstick all in it.
[14:30] Speaker 4: I was crying and my heart like Robbie couldn't get
[14:33] Speaker 4: it off quite right. I looked like a schmuck with
[14:36] Speaker 4: it on. So I did it because I was like
[14:40] Speaker 4: the peer.
[14:40] Speaker 2: Pressure of like, that's what you're supposed to do. You
[14:43] Speaker 2: want him to have that moment of lifting. And I'm like, you.
[14:45] Speaker 3: Did look beautiful with the veil. But I remember being
[14:48] Speaker 3: like walking down the aisle like I'm like, you can't
[14:52] Speaker 3: even see me through that. I knew you were gonna
[14:56] Speaker 3: say that, just because I have the memory of like
[14:58] Speaker 3: that discussion.
[15:00] Speaker 2: Yeah, because I didn't want it. I didn't want it.
[15:02] Speaker 2: I wanted to have a bag.
[15:03] Speaker 4: As I walked down the aisle and everyone's like, no,
[15:05] Speaker 4: it's it's gonna be this beautiful moment. I was like, Okay,
[15:08] Speaker 4: maybe they're right. It's tradition, like it's they've done it
[15:11] Speaker 4: like that for a reason, like it's the only time
[15:13] Speaker 4: in my life I'm gonna have a.
[15:16] Speaker 2: Frock over my head to be lifted by my husband.
[15:20] Speaker 4: And I look back and I'm like, damn, i'd have
[15:23] Speaker 4: stuck to my guns.
[15:24] Speaker 3: But you wouldn't know until you like you could have
[15:27] Speaker 3: done it not have done it this you could you
[15:29] Speaker 3: could have practiced, but you could have not done it
[15:32] Speaker 3: and then been like I kind of wish I had
[15:34] Speaker 3: done that because it would have been really special to
[15:36] Speaker 3: have him lifted like you could have. It would have
[15:38] Speaker 3: gone either way.
[15:38] Speaker 4: I think for you, I don't think so there's nothing
[15:40] Speaker 4: I didn't do that I regret not doing.
[15:43] Speaker 3: But I do think that could have been practiced or
[15:46] Speaker 3: you could have like seen put it on, seen how
[15:48] Speaker 3: you looked or felt with it on.
[15:50] Speaker 4: Yeah, Like I'm like I don't know if it was
[15:51] Speaker 4: the wind, but I'm like it kept getting.
[15:53] Speaker 2: In my eye. I was like this not the magical
[15:57] Speaker 2: moments walking.
[15:58] Speaker 3: Down a different aisle, my dad like tripped.
[16:01] Speaker 4: And I couldn't see, like this is this could have
[16:03] Speaker 4: gone bad fast yeah yeah, yeah, but it was so Anyways,
[16:08] Speaker 4: I encourage you to really think about things that like
[16:12] Speaker 4: go and go with your gut on these decisions, because
[16:15] Speaker 4: I do think like, obviously people have been getting married
[16:17] Speaker 4: for centuries and so there are these things that are
[16:20] Speaker 4: just like what you're supposed to.
[16:21] Speaker 3: Do, right, Yeah, but like no, I mean I think
[16:25] Speaker 3: I think we're already passed at what we're supposed to
[16:27] Speaker 3: do part.
[16:30] Speaker 2: But is there a dress code for this wedding? You're
[16:32] Speaker 2: going to like a theme?
[16:33] Speaker 3: Well, I think it. I don't know if I'm saying it,
[16:37] Speaker 3: like if this is real, but I think it's no
[16:39] Speaker 3: black like I think it's because it's palm spring. So
[16:41] Speaker 3: I think they wanted everyone in like color. So I'm
[16:45] Speaker 3: excited to see what everyone wears, because that's the other thing.
[16:48] Speaker 3: It's like, do you want it to be super dressy?
[16:51] Speaker 3: Do you want it to just be like people to
[16:53] Speaker 3: come in with they? I don't know. I don't know.
[16:56] Speaker 3: I really don't. So I'm going to be going with
[16:59] Speaker 3: a secret notepad, are you? Actually no? But I will
[17:04] Speaker 3: be observing from that lens. I think it's gonna be
[17:06] Speaker 3: very beautiful and chic too, So I'm excited. I'm excited.
[17:10] Speaker 3: I've never been to a m l M Man loving
[17:15] Speaker 3: man wedding.
[17:16] Speaker 2: I don't think I have either.
[17:17] Speaker 3: Actually, I'm so excited. Did you know did you not
[17:20] Speaker 3: know Brad and Gary? They've been married for like you
[17:23] Speaker 3: didn't know them? Then?
[17:23] Speaker 2: No? I knew them.
[17:25] Speaker 4: I I started to become friends with him as a
[17:28] Speaker 4: married man. Oh yeah, and they got married like not
[17:33] Speaker 4: they eloped, but it wasn't like a big wedding.
[17:36] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I'm excited for my first one.
[17:41] Speaker 2: What an honor, A lot of decisions. Happy to be
[17:44] Speaker 2: by your side.
[17:45] Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, so Ali and Carson didn't do a first
[17:48] Speaker 3: dance because she didn't. She was like, I do not
[17:51] Speaker 3: want everyone like standing around watching us dance by ourselves.
[17:55] Speaker 2: But did they do dances with their parents?
[17:58] Speaker 3: No, they didn't do any Like oh wait, did she
[18:01] Speaker 3: do it? I don't think she did it any with
[18:05] Speaker 3: like a bunch of people watching, but I do. I
[18:10] Speaker 3: love music, and like I have, I associate so many
[18:13] Speaker 3: songs with Haley that like, I'm like, we have to
[18:16] Speaker 3: and in that moment, I don't think I'm going to
[18:18] Speaker 3: be thinking about everyone watching us, you know all. Yeah,
[18:22] Speaker 3: and so that's something I would love to do. The cake,
[18:24] Speaker 3: I'm very like, if Haley wants to do the cake,
[18:26] Speaker 3: I'm down for the cake, but it's not something that
[18:29] Speaker 3: I have to do. Yeah.
[18:30] Speaker 4: The cake cutting, Yeah, when you get the price tag
[18:32] Speaker 4: on the cakes, you're kind of like, do you ever
[18:36] Speaker 4: the pictures?
[18:36] Speaker 2: I mean, just like cutting through this thing for three
[18:38] Speaker 2: thousand dollars?
[18:38] Speaker 3: I don't think so. Yeah. Yeah, Like, and I don't
[18:42] Speaker 3: really feel like I woll cute eating so now my
[18:44] Speaker 3: phone wasn't me getting it like put in my mouth?
[18:46] Speaker 4: Yeah, like that was where my head was that Like
[18:48] Speaker 4: I saw how much they were and I was.
[18:50] Speaker 3: Like, I don't think we need a cake. And then
[18:55] Speaker 3: we also were like how cool would it be if
[18:57] Speaker 3: we rented like a huge house or like hassle and
[19:00] Speaker 3: like Europe and everyone stayed there and we just like
[19:03] Speaker 3: had a small, like intimate ceremony and then we just
[19:07] Speaker 3: like got to party and like hang out all week
[19:09] Speaker 3: with our favorite people. I don't know, there's so many
[19:11] Speaker 3: things to do.
[19:12] Speaker 2: I know, I went down that path too. I know
[19:16] Speaker 2: it's a really great path.
[19:19] Speaker 3: It's something to consider.
[19:21] Speaker 2: It's something to consider.
[19:22] Speaker 4: The only the only caveat with that is because I
[19:27] Speaker 4: feel like you and Haley have different types of jobs
[19:29] Speaker 4: where like you can be gone for two weeks, you
[19:32] Speaker 4: know what I mean, it's just like easy.
[19:34] Speaker 3: You're warnything about people being able to go, and we'd
[19:36] Speaker 3: have to give them a huge time to plan. Yes,
[19:40] Speaker 3: bad amount of time, correct, because even going to Europe
[19:43] Speaker 3: is such a far trip that you don't want to
[19:45] Speaker 3: go for two days?
[19:46] Speaker 2: No, and you can't. Yeah you's yeah, so.
[19:50] Speaker 3: That's something to think about. I don't know, you guys,
[19:52] Speaker 3: there's so many options shifting gears. I was doing a
[19:58] Speaker 3: treadmill walk and I was like, I just need something
[20:00] Speaker 3: with beats that I know. So I looked up Taylor
[20:03] Speaker 3: Swift walking playlist and I'm like, back in like a
[20:07] Speaker 3: Taylor Swift. Not that she ever left, like she's always
[20:10] Speaker 3: on a rotating like radio or something, but I've just
[20:14] Speaker 3: been like, Wow, the bangers, And so I did my
[20:17] Speaker 3: top my Taylor Swift songs of the day for the
[20:20] Speaker 3: day that I was. They change, they change, you know,
[20:24] Speaker 3: but consistently You're losing me is so good, it's so sad.
[20:29] Speaker 4: The fact that it almost never saw the light of
[20:31] Speaker 4: day is caraziness.
[20:35] Speaker 3: Out of the woods. It's just incredible.
[20:40] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[20:42] Speaker 3: And is It over Now?
[20:44] Speaker 7: Yeah?
[20:45] Speaker 3: Is that that one too?
[20:46] Speaker 2: Is it over? Like that almost never saw light of
[20:47] Speaker 2: day too?
[20:48] Speaker 3: And their breakup songs? Yes, they're all breakup songs.
[20:53] Speaker 2: My favorite.
[20:54] Speaker 4: One of my favorite memories from my wedding was singing
[20:57] Speaker 4: is It Over Now at the top of my lungs
[20:59] Speaker 4: on the dancefloorts a breakup song and everybody's kind of like,
[21:03] Speaker 4: what's going on here?
[21:04] Speaker 2: But I'm like, I just have.
[21:05] Speaker 1: To get it, like it's I don't think they were
[21:07] Speaker 1: what's going on here because of the lyrics as much
[21:09] Speaker 1: as me, You and Sophia just like acting like it
[21:12] Speaker 1: was like a stage planned performat, like yeah, yeah, I
[21:19] Speaker 1: And then you know what one I've really been enjoying
[21:21] Speaker 1: that's like not ever talked about is I look in
[21:24] Speaker 1: People's Windows?
[21:25] Speaker 2: I don't think I even heard note that is there's not.
[21:29] Speaker 3: Uh tord your post department?
[21:32] Speaker 2: But she look in People's Windows? Is the name of
[21:34] Speaker 2: the song? Are you sure?
[21:36] Speaker 3: Look in People's Windows? But there's a line where she says,
[21:43] Speaker 3: does it feel alright to not know me? I'm addicted
[21:47] Speaker 3: to the if only and like the lyricism, yeah, and
[21:51] Speaker 3: again it's sad, but I'm when I'm really happy and good,
[21:57] Speaker 3: why not listen to sad music? Yeah, it's free them.
[22:01] Speaker 3: You know.
[22:02] Speaker 4: It's so funny that you say that, because I feel like,
[22:06] Speaker 4: to me, This Life of a Showgirl was like such
[22:09] Speaker 4: a standout album because it's very much like she's in
[22:12] Speaker 4: love and she's happy, and that's kind of like where
[22:14] Speaker 4: I'm at in life. So I'm like really resonating with
[22:16] Speaker 4: it that I have a hard time, like listening to
[22:18] Speaker 4: All Too Well right now interesting?
[22:20] Speaker 2: Yeah?
[22:21] Speaker 3: Yeah, well All Too is a fall album. Yes, sunny
[22:26] Speaker 3: bright weather clauses for I forgot you that you existed
[22:31] Speaker 3: and yeah, it's like lover and uh yeah lover and
[22:36] Speaker 3: reputation reputations.
[22:39] Speaker 2: Giving winter No reputation is giving.
[22:44] Speaker 3: I'm in a revenge yeah yeah, yeah, I think Halloween.
[22:47] Speaker 5: It didn't it come out like in October November or something?
[22:50] Speaker 2: Yeah? I think yeah.
[22:52] Speaker 3: Oh. Also, I'm going to a themed two thousands party
[22:55] Speaker 3: on Friday.
[22:57] Speaker 2: What for what?
[22:58] Speaker 3: Well, you know, it's Taylor Bank's birthday and it's themed
[23:02] Speaker 3: two thousands themed, And I feel like I'm gonna have
[23:06] Speaker 3: to try out my outfit today because I ordered it
[23:09] Speaker 3: all very quickly.
[23:10] Speaker 2: What are you going to be?
[23:11] Speaker 3: There's this specific picture of Britney spears that I found.
[23:15] Speaker 2: And oh, that's a great one for you.
[23:17] Speaker 3: I'm kind of panicking. I got my bangs that I
[23:20] Speaker 3: clip in. Bangs I ordered are not the right shade.
[23:23] Speaker 3: But it's this picture.
[23:25] Speaker 2: Oh yeah, what was that from?
[23:26] Speaker 3: I don't know is it two thousands or is it nineties?
[23:28] Speaker 3: Because now I'm like overthinking about it.
[23:30] Speaker 5: That's early.
[23:32] Speaker 3: It's early, which could be nineties ninety nine.
[23:35] Speaker 2: I think it's okay.
[23:36] Speaker 3: But anyways, I feel like I got kneepat gardening kneepads
[23:41] Speaker 3: that are metallic pink because I thought that's what she
[23:45] Speaker 3: had on. But they're just patches, so stay tuned.
[23:50] Speaker 5: So that was I'm sorry, I'm.
[23:56] Speaker 2: To scrap in get a new outfit.
[23:59] Speaker 5: Where ran from June September ninety nine.
[24:01] Speaker 3: Well that's what we're in. It's Brittany from that time,
[24:06] Speaker 3: right before the two thousands. It's a fun Why do
[24:08] Speaker 3: k though? You know?
[24:09] Speaker 5: And we're still talking about that moment.
[24:11] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, well I'm bringing it back. But yeah,
[24:14] Speaker 3: I got clipping bangs and they're like orange. I was like, Haley,
[24:18] Speaker 3: how bad are they? And She's like, I mean it's
[24:21] Speaker 3: it's kind of funny if they look bad, right, And
[24:23] Speaker 3: I'm like, okay, no, that's not I'm not trying to
[24:26] Speaker 3: look before. No, I'm trying to look legit.
[24:28] Speaker 4: Speaking of bangs, I'm thinking about getting some whispy bangs.
[24:31] Speaker 3: Okay, that a bad idea, Like what I just I
[24:37] Speaker 3: love a very thin wisp.
[24:39] Speaker 2: Wow, I'm not a blunt bang, like a thin whisp.
[24:42] Speaker 3: Here's the thing. Show you a photo you hate your
[24:44] Speaker 3: hair bang in your face? Yes, but even how mine
[24:47] Speaker 3: is right now, Tanya is like I could never like,
[24:49] Speaker 3: how do you just let your hair in your hair?
[24:51] Speaker 4: Yeah?
[24:51] Speaker 3: Your hairs are never not in your face?
[24:53] Speaker 2: Yes, I understand that, Yes, that that will be.
[24:58] Speaker 3: And you like styling your hair, yes, but do you have.
[25:01] Speaker 2: To style it when you have these wispy bangs?
[25:03] Speaker 3: I don't know how? Like what do we? Yeah? Oh
[25:07] Speaker 3: my god, Donya, you would hate that? Gorgeous?
[25:11] Speaker 2: But like I hate that.
[25:13] Speaker 3: I think when they were styled and they'd look amazing,
[25:15] Speaker 3: I think they'd look amazing on you. I just think
[25:17] Speaker 3: that you would.
[25:17] Speaker 2: Why does everybody have to style everything.
[25:22] Speaker 3: In her eyes? Like you would be able to handle that,
[25:24] Speaker 3: you'd be freaking out. I go through the bank face.
[25:29] Speaker 2: Too, Okay, So you're saying it's not a goin through.
[25:32] Speaker 3: The chop face, like I'm two. I'm one bad hair
[25:35] Speaker 3: day away from a chop. But you know what someone
[25:39] Speaker 3: said that really resonated with me. I'll tell you when
[25:43] Speaker 3: we come back.
[26:01] Speaker 2: We're back.
[26:05] Speaker 3: Great job. So I was debating on if I wanted
[26:08] Speaker 3: to cut my hair into bob which last time I
[26:11] Speaker 3: tortured everyone because I hated it, and I had so
[26:13] Speaker 3: much regret. But I looked back on photos and I'm like,
[26:16] Speaker 3: but it was so cute. Why did I Why was
[26:18] Speaker 3: I so anti so chic?
[26:20] Speaker 2: And you do your hair so it's.
[26:22] Speaker 3: Like I saw my hair. It's not a burden. And
[26:26] Speaker 3: so anyways, someone was like, back of your hair was
[26:28] Speaker 3: so cute. Short, But just remember you will like your
[26:32] Speaker 3: hair cut for like a week, and then you'll it'll
[26:36] Speaker 3: get old. The newness of it being cut will get old,
[26:39] Speaker 3: and you'll just be upset that you cut it. And
[26:41] Speaker 3: for some reason it really stuck with me because that's
[26:45] Speaker 3: what happens. You have the first week and you're like
[26:47] Speaker 3: doing all these new styles. Oh, it's so cute and fresh,
[26:50] Speaker 3: and then the newss dice and you're like, but now
[26:54] Speaker 3: it's short.
[26:56] Speaker 2: You know, I've never changed my hair up, Like, yes
[26:58] Speaker 2: you have.
[26:59] Speaker 3: Wow, you've like cut your hair and had it long
[27:02] Speaker 3: and got extensions.
[27:03] Speaker 2: Okay, that's like not really, I mean the length of it.
[27:06] Speaker 4: I've maybe shed two inches off here and there, but like,
[27:09] Speaker 4: for the most part, the continuity of my hair has
[27:11] Speaker 4: stayed intact for the last like fifteen years.
[27:14] Speaker 2: I would says, do.
[27:16] Speaker 5: Ye, as long as I've known.
[27:17] Speaker 2: You, Yeah, like relatively the same.
[27:19] Speaker 3: Some blonde was better than the others. Yes, yes, I
[27:23] Speaker 3: did have a change.
[27:24] Speaker 4: Yes I have a Bleachhella moment that was just bad.
[27:29] Speaker 4: But I haven't really changed my hair. And I'm like
[27:32] Speaker 4: kind of in this phase of like I'm a low
[27:38] Speaker 4: maintenance girl trapped in a high maintenance spot, you know, like, oh,
[27:43] Speaker 4: I hate doing my.
[27:44] Speaker 2: Hair, but I need to do it otherwise it looks like.
[27:47] Speaker 3: This, what are you talking about? Like getting it done?
[27:51] Speaker 2: Or I'm like, do I need a change? Like should
[27:53] Speaker 2: I change it up?
[27:55] Speaker 3: You're so here's my opinion on your hair. I feel like, okay,
[28:00] Speaker 3: so if you are you watching Love Story the JFK
[28:03] Speaker 3: Junior show yet, Okay? The actress and that Sarah Pigeon,
[28:08] Speaker 3: she is originally brunette. She's gorgeous, Like she's got one
[28:12] Speaker 3: of those she's got one of those faces and personalities
[28:15] Speaker 3: that you're like cool, magnetic, but you can't, You're just
[28:18] Speaker 3: like she's cool. She has blonde hair for the show
[28:22] Speaker 3: and it is so made for her. And I feel
[28:25] Speaker 3: like you're that way, like you're dark, You're naturally dark, right, yeah,
[28:29] Speaker 3: but you look yeah whoa so night and day and everyone.
[28:34] Speaker 3: Normally people say you look best with your natural hair
[28:37] Speaker 3: color because it's obviously it's like made to compliment your features, right,
[28:41] Speaker 3: But she's an example of blonde looks better on y.
[28:45] Speaker 3: It like brightens her face. Yeah, I feel like you
[28:48] Speaker 3: have the same thing. But I haven't known you, brunette,
[28:51] Speaker 3: but you look so good blonde. However, Kelsey Ballerini just
[28:56] Speaker 3: went like light brown, and I was thinking, I feel
[28:59] Speaker 3: like it could look so good on you because it's
[29:02] Speaker 3: not dark. It's like a like a light brown. Tony's
[29:06] Speaker 3: gonna kill me, But like, did you tell.
[29:10] Speaker 2: Tommy, like Becka told me light brown would look good
[29:13] Speaker 2: on me.
[29:13] Speaker 3: Because I think your eyes would pop. But it's so
[29:18] Speaker 3: pretty and it looks so good on her. It does.
[29:22] Speaker 2: But see, this is the problem.
[29:24] Speaker 4: And like people do like these inspo pics you like
[29:26] Speaker 4: bring them to your hair estylished and like I want
[29:27] Speaker 4: to look like this, like that photo has like teza
[29:31] Speaker 4: and it's like.
[29:32] Speaker 2: Blurry and like do you know what I mean? Like
[29:34] Speaker 2: who knows if it looks like that in real life?
[29:37] Speaker 3: Well, yeah, I don't know what it looks like in
[29:39] Speaker 3: real life. I'm just going off of off of the an.
[29:42] Speaker 2: Image that's been filtered. This is what's wrong with society.
[29:44] Speaker 3: But look, that's like high, like it's like brown with Yeah, it's.
[29:49] Speaker 2: More brown, it's more rooty. Then it's a brown.
[29:52] Speaker 3: Darker like yeah. Yeah, I'm just saying it wouldn't be
[29:56] Speaker 3: like a you don't if you're craving a change.
[29:58] Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm craving it, like a craving a bit of
[30:01] Speaker 2: a change.
[30:04] Speaker 3: What was that?
[30:04] Speaker 5: Yeah, sound the sound of a crave, like a thirst.
[30:08] Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, okay, I do think that would be like
[30:14] Speaker 3: something I feel like. And I don't think it would
[30:16] Speaker 3: be hard to come back from. Like what if I
[30:19] Speaker 3: was like, you should go red?
[30:20] Speaker 4: That would be so that was like my my inkling
[30:23] Speaker 4: was strawberry blonde.
[30:25] Speaker 3: It's just hard, Yeah, if you if you want to
[30:27] Speaker 3: be more low maintenance, doing red is not.
[30:30] Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a little bit about me right now.
[30:33] Speaker 3: I think the bangs are bad choice just because you'd
[30:35] Speaker 3: hate the hair in your face. Okay, if you wanted
[30:37] Speaker 3: to darken a little bit, I do think that would
[30:39] Speaker 3: be a nice change for you. But it wouldn't be
[30:41] Speaker 3: like you couldn't get back to your blonde if you
[30:44] Speaker 3: needed to.
[30:44] Speaker 2: Okay, noted, And I do think your hair is so cute. Short,
[30:50] Speaker 2: m something to think about.
[30:54] Speaker 3: You know, like every time people like get married or
[30:57] Speaker 3: have a big like life moment, they're like, I'm just
[31:00] Speaker 3: gonna chop my hair or new change.
[31:02] Speaker 7: Yeah.
[31:02] Speaker 4: So well it is interesting because you kind of I mean,
[31:05] Speaker 4: I think I'm past that phase now, but like you,
[31:07] Speaker 4: you come off such a high that you're like, I
[31:09] Speaker 4: just need like another hand, another adrenaline rush. But I'm
[31:13] Speaker 4: definitely far past that. I think mine's more of just
[31:15] Speaker 4: like wanting to be a little bit more low maintenance.
[31:19] Speaker 3: Speaking of adrenaline rush, I went to Atlanta a couple
[31:23] Speaker 3: of weeks ago. Oh no, oh, yeah, yeah, and I
[31:27] Speaker 3: went to do this podcast for this woman, Lisa Easton.
[31:29] Speaker 3: I don't know in the podcast it might it might
[31:31] Speaker 3: be out yet already, so go listen if it is.
[31:34] Speaker 3: But I flew in to just do her podcast, and
[31:36] Speaker 3: then I flew out the next day.
[31:37] Speaker 2: It's baller, by the way, when you're Lisa Easton is goals.
[31:42] Speaker 3: Yeah. So I flew out and then they booked me
[31:46] Speaker 3: for a six twenty pm flight And did I already
[31:51] Speaker 3: say I was in Atlanta? Atlanta? Yeah, so she where
[31:55] Speaker 3: we did the podcast was about an like a forty
[31:58] Speaker 3: minute drive from airport when I landed, because I landed
[32:02] Speaker 3: the night before and it was pretty late, so it
[32:03] Speaker 3: was pretty no traffic or anything. So the next day
[32:06] Speaker 3: my flights at six twenty. We were recording the podcast
[32:08] Speaker 3: at twelve thirty. So I was like, okay, we're gonna finish,
[32:12] Speaker 3: like I'm thinking most we do is two hours, right.
[32:15] Speaker 3: So I go on my little Delta app and see
[32:19] Speaker 3: that there's a four to fifty flight, and I go,
[32:23] Speaker 3: I don't want to be sitting around, you know me,
[32:24] Speaker 3: I have my carry on, I have clear I'm just
[32:28] Speaker 3: gonna switch it all over. No no fee to change it.
[32:32] Speaker 3: So I switched it to four fifty. I get a
[32:35] Speaker 3: text and they're like, hey, they're having some technical issues
[32:38] Speaker 3: with the studio, so like we're having to push the podcast.
[32:41] Speaker 3: I'm like, yeah, yeah, yeah, no big deal. So I go,
[32:44] Speaker 3: we do the podcast.
[32:45] Speaker 2: What time do you start doing it.
[32:46] Speaker 3: I think we started the podcast probably at one.
[32:49] Speaker 2: Okay, it's an hour behind.
[32:51] Speaker 3: Yeah, so do the pod three. Yeah. They're like, we're
[32:54] Speaker 3: gonna have some light bite, some champagne, and I'm like cool,
[32:57] Speaker 3: I'm acting chill, not even rushed. We do the podcast
[33:01] Speaker 3: and then We're like chit chatting, and I'm like, oh,
[33:03] Speaker 3: so I actually moved. They go what times your flight?
[33:05] Speaker 3: And I go, well, I had the six twenty that
[33:07] Speaker 3: y'all booked me on, but I saw there was a
[33:08] Speaker 3: four fifty, so I just switched it because I don't
[33:10] Speaker 3: like sitting around. I like to just like go and
[33:12] Speaker 3: get on the board. And she goes, oh my gosh,
[33:15] Speaker 3: like you have to go that the traffic. It's not
[33:19] Speaker 3: gonna be the traffic like when you got here, like
[33:21] Speaker 3: it could take two hours to get to the airport.
[33:23] Speaker 3: So I'm like okay. So I get in the car
[33:27] Speaker 3: with the driver and it's the My flight starts boarding
[33:31] Speaker 3: at four ten, and you know, I see the arrival
[33:35] Speaker 3: times for twenty, so I'm like, okay, we're gonna be
[33:39] Speaker 3: cutting it close. He goes, do you have clear and
[33:42] Speaker 3: I go yeah. He goes, I'm gonna drop you off
[33:44] Speaker 3: at the International security because it's right by your gate.
[33:47] Speaker 3: This guy was so legit. He dropped me off at
[33:49] Speaker 3: he knew, Yeah, he knew. He goes, I don't know
[33:52] Speaker 3: if you're gonna make it, but i'm excited to know
[33:54] Speaker 3: if you do. He goes, I'm going to drop you
[33:55] Speaker 3: off at International, You're gonna go through security there and
[33:58] Speaker 3: you're gonna just run your gate. So I do it
[34:02] Speaker 3: three minutes too late. And honestly, if I had just
[34:05] Speaker 3: been a little emboldened and asked, there was like a
[34:08] Speaker 3: little bit of line.
[34:09] Speaker 2: For clearty chat. No.
[34:11] Speaker 3: No, I could have eliminated. I could light bite, yeah,
[34:16] Speaker 3: I could have could have eliminated a.
[34:17] Speaker 2: Light bike, or one glass of champagne.
[34:19] Speaker 3: I only had one. Couldn't have that, yeah, but I
[34:23] Speaker 3: wish I had.
[34:24] Speaker 2: Well.
[34:25] Speaker 3: I have mixed feelings about this because I choose my
[34:29] Speaker 3: path of being late and tardy, So I never want
[34:33] Speaker 3: to inconvene or asked to inconvenience someone else because of
[34:36] Speaker 3: my choice. Like if I had not changed my flight
[34:39] Speaker 3: and I was just late because of traffic and it
[34:41] Speaker 3: was just timing, and then I had to ask someone
[34:43] Speaker 3: like can I please go in front of you? Like
[34:44] Speaker 3: they're boarding my flight? And I'm so sorry. That's one thing,
[34:48] Speaker 3: but knowing that it was my choice, I just can't
[34:52] Speaker 3: ask someone if I could go in front of them.
[34:54] Speaker 3: But if I had asked, I would have made it. Yeah,
[34:58] Speaker 3: So I like I'm renting, Like I'm like gasping for
[35:01] Speaker 3: air and I'm like, how how far I'm like laughing,
[35:04] Speaker 3: I'm like, how far did I miss it? He goes
[35:06] Speaker 3: three minutes and.
[35:07] Speaker 2: I was like the flight, like the plane took off.
[35:10] Speaker 3: No, the plane's still there. They want to let you
[35:13] Speaker 3: shut the gates. Yeah. Yeah, once they shut the door,
[35:16] Speaker 3: you're screwed.
[35:19] Speaker 2: So I was like, so you watched the plane fly off.
[35:22] Speaker 3: I didn't even watch it. I went and change my
[35:23] Speaker 3: flight back to the original, and uh got home fine.
[35:28] Speaker 3: It was totally great. But everyone I posted about her,
[35:31] Speaker 3: I was like, I it's why we love you. But
[35:33] Speaker 3: I don't know how you do this life.
[35:35] Speaker 4: It's so interesting because like maybe it's because your cortisol
[35:39] Speaker 4: levels are just so low that like you don't hit
[35:41] Speaker 4: you because like the thought of doing that makes me
[35:45] Speaker 4: so anxious. Like I'm just like I'm in this stage
[35:48] Speaker 4: of my life where I just want to keep things
[35:49] Speaker 4: like as least anxiety inducing as humanly possible, so for
[35:55] Speaker 4: me to like even embark on such a but I
[35:58] Speaker 4: just did not enjoy that.
[36:00] Speaker 3: So what happened was I checked the original flight to
[36:03] Speaker 3: make sure there were seats still available. So I kind
[36:07] Speaker 3: of was in a place of being like if I
[36:09] Speaker 3: missed this flight.
[36:10] Speaker 2: I'm good, I will be able to get on the
[36:13] Speaker 2: original flight.
[36:13] Speaker 4: What if you didn't, though, What if your original flight
[36:15] Speaker 4: was booked, would you have lazily gotten into your new
[36:20] Speaker 4: flight or would you've gone a little faster ask people
[36:23] Speaker 4: to cut Wait?
[36:24] Speaker 3: What if if there.
[36:25] Speaker 2: Was no seats left on your flight? You're six twenty yeah,
[36:28] Speaker 2: and you.
[36:28] Speaker 3: Had to make this four feat No, there was an
[36:30] Speaker 3: eight ten, So I probably would have said, if be
[36:32] Speaker 3: in the airport, I'll go to the Atlanta Aquarium day
[36:37] Speaker 3: good aquarium. So but here's the thing. I didn't have
[36:41] Speaker 3: anything to get home. Like Obviously I was excited to
[36:44] Speaker 3: get home and see Haley and Phoebe. But I knew
[36:46] Speaker 3: Hailey had an event that night, so I wasn't like
[36:48] Speaker 3: rushing home to see her, right. And I also was like,
[36:51] Speaker 3: I'm not trying to if I was, let's say I
[36:53] Speaker 3: was going to the podcast and I had a responsibility,
[36:56] Speaker 3: I'm not going to be irresponsible and switch my flight
[36:58] Speaker 3: like that. I mean, get where I need to go.
[37:01] Speaker 3: But when I didn't have anything, I thought, why not?
[37:03] Speaker 3: Why why not? Why not take it? Yeah, So it's
[37:09] Speaker 3: just a lesson for all of you. Try things. I
[37:15] Speaker 3: will never try that the a risk taker live a
[37:20] Speaker 3: little because what if? How cool if I but you
[37:22] Speaker 3: know what I and then I go, okay, it's okay
[37:25] Speaker 3: because now I'm gonna land at eight forty in LA
[37:28] Speaker 3: and I'm not gonna have traffic going home, whereas if
[37:31] Speaker 3: I had landed at six, I would have been stuck
[37:33] Speaker 3: in the traffic that I was sitting in the airport.
[37:36] Speaker 4: You know what I think about often actually, which is
[37:39] Speaker 4: like so crazy. When we flew back from Jared and
[37:42] Speaker 4: Ashley's wedding, we literally got to the airport in just
[37:48] Speaker 4: enough time to walk onto our gate and walk onto
[37:52] Speaker 4: the plane like I've never done that, where like I like,
[37:55] Speaker 4: I'm just like walking, like no stopping for the bathroom
[37:57] Speaker 4: like Pete in a hydro flask, Like we're just straight
[38:00] Speaker 4: going and like walking onto a flight.
[38:03] Speaker 2: That was so stressful.
[38:06] Speaker 6: Oh, I missed one flight in my life, and I
[38:09] Speaker 6: was recording at a prison in northern California with Governor
[38:12] Speaker 6: Gavin Newsom, and it went long and we were getting
[38:16] Speaker 6: to the airport and it was like we're going to
[38:17] Speaker 6: get there, I think ten minutes before it left or something.
[38:22] Speaker 6: And I had to checkle my equipment and Daniel Romo
[38:24] Speaker 6: who works with us. She was with me and she
[38:26] Speaker 6: just made a sprint for the gate and I checked
[38:29] Speaker 6: my gear and I started sprinting too, and they were
[38:32] Speaker 6: closing the door and I was like, hold it there,
[38:34] Speaker 6: and they like, once they start closing it, I think
[38:36] Speaker 6: they can't stop it. And she told them that we
[38:39] Speaker 6: were married. She's like, my husband's out there, and they
[38:41] Speaker 6: wouldn't let me on.
[38:42] Speaker 7: No.
[38:42] Speaker 5: I flamed my face and I had to take a
[38:44] Speaker 5: later flight home.
[38:46] Speaker 6: The funny thing is my equipment made it onto that flight,
[38:47] Speaker 6: so it did make the plane, which is crazy.
[38:50] Speaker 5: But I hated it. I hated.
[38:53] Speaker 4: Yeah, I've only missed one fight in my life as well.
[38:56] Speaker 4: But I didn't even make it to the airport, Like
[38:58] Speaker 4: I was so hungover that it was like one of
[39:00] Speaker 4: the iHeart Ready music festivals. My flight was at like
[39:02] Speaker 4: six am, Like I'm always like get me out first
[39:05] Speaker 4: thing Sunday morning, so I take like the earliest flight
[39:07] Speaker 4: out and I didn't even wake up until like eleven am.
[39:10] Speaker 4: So I like far missed it and I had to
[39:13] Speaker 4: drive back to LA with Amy Sugar because all the
[39:17] Speaker 4: flights were booked.
[39:21] Speaker 2: Yeah, I've never missed another flight.
[39:24] Speaker 3: Yeah, well it's life is life.
[39:27] Speaker 4: In life is life in and pressure and pressure and
[39:33] Speaker 4: to night.
[39:35] Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, yeah, that part the part.
[39:42] Speaker 3: So it's just about like living and stuff and like
[39:47] Speaker 3: what's the worst that can happen?
[39:48] Speaker 2: You know, I just could never be married to you,
[39:50] Speaker 2: is what I realized.
[39:51] Speaker 3: And that's that works, yeah for us.
[39:54] Speaker 4: But like I give props to Haley because if Robbie
[39:58] Speaker 4: were like you, it would be a really bad situation
[40:01] Speaker 4: for our relationship.
[40:02] Speaker 3: But I'm like, like, even with the Bahamas thing, when
[40:06] Speaker 3: when they had our flight fight or ride scheduled super
[40:11] Speaker 3: early and you wanted to go and then I didn't
[40:13] Speaker 3: want to go that early. We met in the middle.
[40:15] Speaker 3: Like I do believe in compromise. If I'm flying with someone,
[40:17] Speaker 3: I only really do that stuff if I'm like by myself.
[40:20] Speaker 3: And the Boston thing after Jared and Ashley's wedding, we
[40:23] Speaker 3: did not realize that was not even me being irresponsible.
[40:26] Speaker 3: We were so tired you had to pee in your
[40:28] Speaker 3: hydroflask like we were sitting in traffic.
[40:30] Speaker 2: It was very stressful. It was very stressful.
[40:32] Speaker 6: So I'm sorry if you consider it, how is it
[40:35] Speaker 6: does Haley want to get to the airport early what's
[40:37] Speaker 6: her attitude.
[40:39] Speaker 3: She's a little bit on the same page as me,
[40:41] Speaker 3: but she might run a little more stressed, Like I'm
[40:43] Speaker 3: a little more relaxed and she's a little more stressed
[40:45] Speaker 3: about it, but we kind of run in the same
[40:47] Speaker 3: I do.
[40:47] Speaker 6: I remember going to Tanya's wedding last year because you
[40:50] Speaker 6: were already there and we were in the airport and
[40:53] Speaker 6: Haley was on our flight going out and we hung
[40:55] Speaker 6: out with her and she was there same time as me,
[40:57] Speaker 6: which is pretty damn early love that.
[40:59] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I think probably when she's by herself, she's
[41:02] Speaker 3: a little more responsible. I held her back.
[41:05] Speaker 2: What do you think about?
[41:06] Speaker 3: It's something to think about, and thank you for bringing
[41:09] Speaker 3: that to my attention. I'll be more considerate moving forward.
[41:16] Speaker 3: We have a we have one like kind of miniature
[41:19] Speaker 3: dear Bonia question, because it's something we should talk talk
[41:24] Speaker 3: about and help her out with, and we'll do it
[41:26] Speaker 3: when we come back. We're back, We're back. Okay. So
[41:49] Speaker 3: this is from a tired and touched out scrubber. It
[41:53] Speaker 3: seems that this scrubber has a different love language than
[41:56] Speaker 3: their partner that you want to read these.
[41:57] Speaker 6: I'd love to thank you for the invitation Hello with
[42:01] Speaker 6: six o's to my favorite people. I'm a stay at
[42:04] Speaker 6: home mom to a two year old in five month
[42:06] Speaker 6: old twins. I feel incredibly blessed and truly love being
[42:09] Speaker 6: in this role, but caring for a toddler while also nursing, holding,
[42:12] Speaker 6: and caring for two infants all day is exhausting.
[42:15] Speaker 5: By the end of the day, I.
[42:16] Speaker 6: Am completely spent. I also grew up in a non
[42:19] Speaker 6: touchy feely home. There's lots of love, but not much
[42:21] Speaker 6: physical affection, so physical touch has not been a big
[42:25] Speaker 6: need for me. My husband, on the other hand, thrives
[42:27] Speaker 6: on it. It is his number one love language and
[42:29] Speaker 6: I've worked hard to meet him there. He is honestly
[42:31] Speaker 6: an angel. After working all day, he jumps right in
[42:34] Speaker 6: with helping with the kids, cooking, cleaning, baths, bedtime, house projects,
[42:38] Speaker 6: and even make sure I get breaks to see friends
[42:40] Speaker 6: or get out of the house. My love language is
[42:42] Speaker 6: acts of service, and he shows up for me constantly.
[42:44] Speaker 6: The issue is he wants to cuddle all night long,
[42:48] Speaker 6: and I literally cannot sleep while being touched. In fact,
[42:51] Speaker 6: I'm literally writing this in the middle of the night
[42:53] Speaker 6: while he's cuddling me because I cannot sleep.
[42:55] Speaker 5: Oh Wow.
[42:57] Speaker 6: I'm happy to cuddle before bed, and I try to
[42:59] Speaker 6: fill his cup in the day with hugs, holding hands,
[43:02] Speaker 6: sitting close with the kids, all of that. But when
[43:04] Speaker 6: it's time to actually sleep, I just can't do it.
[43:06] Speaker 6: I brought it up before, and it makes him really sad.
[43:09] Speaker 6: This is truly the one thing he asks for while
[43:11] Speaker 6: meeting so maybe my needs every day. But I'm also
[43:13] Speaker 6: running on themes between the babies waking up and not
[43:15] Speaker 6: being able to sleep when I get back into bed.
[43:17] Speaker 6: How can I meet his need for physical touch without
[43:19] Speaker 6: hurting him while also getting the rest I need to
[43:21] Speaker 6: show up as the mom I want to be ps
[43:24] Speaker 6: in this season, it's really hard to take all my
[43:25] Speaker 6: kids out to do things because I simply don't have
[43:27] Speaker 6: enough hands. So we take a lot of drives and
[43:29] Speaker 6: I listen to the pod gets me through many difficult days.
[43:32] Speaker 6: And I appreciate you for.
[43:33] Speaker 5: More than you know. Thank you for what you do.
[43:35] Speaker 4: Wow, I mean I am her husband in this situation,
[43:39] Speaker 4: So all right.
[43:40] Speaker 3: I love like I love cuddling, and Haley and I
[43:43] Speaker 3: are both like physical touches one of our top love languages,
[43:46] Speaker 3: so that works for us. But I do feel like
[43:50] Speaker 3: when we go to bed, it's like we cuddle and
[43:52] Speaker 3: then like when we are both like going to sleep,
[43:54] Speaker 3: we like just naturally separate and I could not do
[43:57] Speaker 3: if like I like because I like to have my
[44:01] Speaker 3: legs I turn and toss and like I just want
[44:03] Speaker 3: to have like the freedom and space to do it.
[44:05] Speaker 3: So I feel like it's well, how would you handle
[44:08] Speaker 3: it for Robbie said, hey, I.
[44:09] Speaker 2: Think we lived through this. Oh oh so yeah, this
[44:13] Speaker 2: is no, no, no, I'll be this. Yeah.
[44:17] Speaker 4: I like I would like to cuddle all night long,
[44:19] Speaker 4: Like I would just love to like be on top
[44:20] Speaker 4: of each other the whole night.
[44:23] Speaker 2: He is at hard.
[44:24] Speaker 4: He doesn't he doesn't sleep so great, so it's like
[44:27] Speaker 4: important for him. He needs like his space to sleep,
[44:29] Speaker 4: and I too. When he told me that, I'm like,
[44:32] Speaker 4: you know, I did my like pouty thing, and then
[44:34] Speaker 4: I was like, you know what, Obviously sleep is important.
[44:36] Speaker 4: So we have a compromise. And it's not really compromise
[44:39] Speaker 4: because he wants to do it too. But we cuddle
[44:42] Speaker 4: when we like watch TV or whatever in bed. Then
[44:44] Speaker 4: when its time of sleep, we like separate. We're on
[44:46] Speaker 4: our different sides of the bed. And then on the
[44:48] Speaker 4: weekends when we wake up, we cuddle when we wake
[44:52] Speaker 4: up before getting out of bed, so we still have
[44:53] Speaker 4: like morning cuddles.
[44:56] Speaker 3: Oh. I don't know if they have this option because
[44:57] Speaker 3: they have small kids and babies, but I do like that.
[45:01] Speaker 4: Like we obviously can't do it during the week because
[45:03] Speaker 4: we're getting up at different times, but whenever we can,
[45:07] Speaker 4: we cut on bed. But when we sleep time is
[45:10] Speaker 4: sleep time. He's just gonna have to get over it.
[45:12] Speaker 3: Like I understand because.
[45:13] Speaker 2: I was like poudy about it too, but like he'll
[45:15] Speaker 2: get over it.
[45:16] Speaker 3: I also think it's like the way you communicate it,
[45:18] Speaker 3: which is like, hey, I'm I'm already not getting a
[45:21] Speaker 3: lot of sleep and taking care of the kids. I'm
[45:23] Speaker 3: very touched. I have multiple hands on me wanting me
[45:27] Speaker 3: at all times, and when I sleep, that's like my
[45:30] Speaker 3: only time where I'm not having to think about that.
[45:33] Speaker 3: So and maybe ask him, like what is the compromise,
[45:35] Speaker 3: because like, I want to be able to you fill
[45:37] Speaker 3: my cup so much.
[45:38] Speaker 2: I really lead with that.
[45:40] Speaker 4: Praise him for he shows up for you, and you
[45:43] Speaker 4: want to show up the way that way back.
[45:44] Speaker 3: But this is just really IMPORTANTEP, and it's important for
[45:47] Speaker 3: you to have sleep, so you have the energy and
[45:49] Speaker 3: capacity to give to him and the kids. But I
[45:52] Speaker 3: would just say, what, what is a way that I
[45:55] Speaker 3: can still have my space when I so I'm able
[45:58] Speaker 3: to sleep, but also that you feel love didn't seen
[46:00] Speaker 3: and have your love language fulfilled because you do that
[46:04] Speaker 3: for me and he if he's like it's cuddling all
[46:08] Speaker 3: night or.
[46:08] Speaker 2: Else, no, he's not going to this guy sounds I know.
[46:11] Speaker 3: I'm just saying. I think you just need to like
[46:13] Speaker 3: lean into how wonderful he is to you and fills
