[0:00] Speaker 1: Scrubbing in with Becca Tilly and Tanya Rad, an iHeartRadio.
[0:04] Speaker 2: And two-time People's Choice Award winning podcast.
[0:12] Speaker 3: Hello, everybody.
[0:14] Speaker 4: We are scrubbing in.
[0:15] Speaker 3: I just want to give a quick shout out. This
[0:18] Speaker 3: is like not an ad at all. But this quince
[0:22] Speaker 3: cardigan came in the mail like an hour before I
[0:26] Speaker 3: left for New York.
[0:27] Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
[0:28] Speaker 3: I was so excited. I threw it on. I wore
[0:30] Speaker 3: it my flight there, my flight home. I can't take
[0:32] Speaker 3: it off. I'm literally obsessed with it. And they are
[0:34] Speaker 3: a proud sponsor of the podcast. And I just want
[0:38] Speaker 3: to give them a shout out because I'm like obsessed
[0:39] Speaker 3: with this cardigan.
[0:40] Speaker 4: Wow.
[0:41] Speaker 2: I know.
[0:41] Speaker 4: I asked the question about if people take multiple outfits
[0:47] Speaker 4: for the plane ride there and back. Yeah. And an
[0:51] Speaker 4: overwhelming response said people normally wear the same outfit there
[0:54] Speaker 4: and back. Yeah.
[0:55] Speaker 3: I usually just change like the shirt. The under layer. So, like,
[1:01] Speaker 3: feel clean.
[1:02] Speaker 4: Right, right, right.
[1:02] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[1:03] Speaker 3: But I'll keep, like, the cardigan and I'll usually keep
[1:05] Speaker 3: the pants.
[1:05] Speaker 4: Yeah. I'd bring a whole separate outfit, which I've never
[1:12] Speaker 4: even thought about not.
[1:14] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[1:14] Speaker 4: I just think airplanes and airports are so dirty.
[1:17] Speaker 3: I know, but then why dirty two things? And then, like,
[1:19] Speaker 3: why take up so much space?
[1:20] Speaker 4: But putting on the same outfit.
[1:22] Speaker 3: That you're going to wear on a plane.
[1:24] Speaker 4: I just like to feel clean on a plane. I'll, like,
[1:27] Speaker 4: I'll take a shower at 10 p.m., go to sleep,
[1:30] Speaker 4: and if I have an early flight, wake up at
[1:32] Speaker 4: 4 and shower again.
[1:33] Speaker 3: Yeah, I do that.
[1:34] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[1:35] Speaker 4: So why would I put on dirty clothes after I
[1:37] Speaker 4: take that effort?
[1:38] Speaker 3: You put on a clean shirt, but then you put
[1:40] Speaker 3: on the same outer.
[1:41] Speaker 4: Yeah, so you just have one outer piece.
[1:44] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[1:45] Speaker 4: And pants. Mm-hmm. And then the shirt's different.
[1:48] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[1:49] Speaker 4: But the pants will be the same.
[1:50] Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
[1:51] Speaker 4: Yeah, that was the overwhelming response from people. Mm-hmm. Just
[1:54] Speaker 4: a few were on the side.
[1:56] Speaker 3: Of, I used to be like you. And I usually
[2:00] Speaker 3: wear sweats on planes. I'd have this thick sweat outfit
[2:04] Speaker 3: that I'm packing to go to Cabo. And I'm like,
[2:06] Speaker 3: why am I packing this, taking up all this space?
[2:08] Speaker 2: I know.
[2:09] Speaker 4: We're going on a big trip next week. We're going
[2:12] Speaker 4: to Thailand. And Girls Like Girls is coming out in,
[2:16] Speaker 4: I think, a few theaters there. So we're going to go.
[2:19] Speaker 4: And I am trying to pack a carry-on with a
[2:24] Speaker 4: duffel bag. When do you leave again?
[2:27] Speaker 3: Monday the 31st right i'm gonna put that on my calendar.
[2:33] Speaker 4: And i posted that i was trying to go to
[2:36] Speaker 4: because we're gonna be gone for like a week and
[2:38] Speaker 4: a half and i said oh do you think i
[2:40] Speaker 4: can pack a carry-on and a duffel and people were
[2:44] Speaker 4: like no chance i thought they were gonna be like
[2:47] Speaker 4: absolutely because i also don't like rewiring things that's gonna
[2:50] Speaker 4: be so hot and humid that i don't want to
[2:54] Speaker 4: rewire anything i we might have a laundry unit where
[2:59] Speaker 4: we're staying or they said a resort can wash them
[3:02] Speaker 4: for you. But anyways, I was like, do you think
[3:05] Speaker 4: I can do it without rewearing pieces? And people are like,
[3:07] Speaker 4: no shot. And I thought everyone was going to be like, yeah,
[3:09] Speaker 4: you can do it. Didn't I respond? I said, yeah.
[3:12] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[3:12] Speaker 4: But everyone seems to be like, just pack a checked bag.
[3:18] Speaker 4: But I don't want to because I don't want to
[3:19] Speaker 4: have to lug it around. We have a layover. I
[3:22] Speaker 4: don't want to be. What if something happens? God forbid.
[3:25] Speaker 3: That's why I love not checking a bag. That's like
[3:28] Speaker 3: the biggest thing. You know your stuff is going to
[3:30] Speaker 3: be there. You're responsible for it. You're seeing it every
[3:34] Speaker 3: step of the way, especially if you're going to have
[3:36] Speaker 3: to lug it when you're getting to where you're going.
[3:38] Speaker 3: It's so obnoxious to have this giant bag. Like having
[3:42] Speaker 3: carry-ons is... The way to go.
[3:44] Speaker 4: I know. I'm going to try to do it.
[3:47] Speaker 3: Do you have packing cubes?
[3:49] Speaker 4: Yes. And I got compression packing cubes.
[3:52] Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh. Then you'll 100% be able to do it.
[3:56] Speaker 4: Well, stay tuned. I'm kind of nervous. I've been like
[4:00] Speaker 4: the furthest I've been is Japan. And I feel like
[4:03] Speaker 4: Thailand's so far away. And I don't know what to expect.
[4:07] Speaker 4: But I'm like really excited to go somewhere new because
[4:09] Speaker 4: before I went on The Bachelor, I wrote this list
[4:12] Speaker 4: of my dreams. My boss at the time, we did
[4:15] Speaker 4: this like day where we just wrote down all of
[4:17] Speaker 4: our dreams and wishes. And I wrote down, I just
[4:19] Speaker 4: want to travel the world. And then literally a few
[4:22] Speaker 4: months later, I got the call about The Bachelor, which ironically,
[4:25] Speaker 4: we stayed in the U.S. like the whole time because
[4:27] Speaker 4: it was Chris, who is a farmer. And we did
[4:30] Speaker 4: go to Bali at the end. And I.
[4:34] Speaker 4: Remember, and so now every time I get to travel somewhere,
[4:36] Speaker 4: I'm like, oh my gosh, this is what I wished for.
[4:38] Speaker 4: But I do get, I am kind of nervous about
[4:40] Speaker 4: this one. Just because it feels far.
[4:43] Speaker 3: It is very far.
[4:45] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[4:45] Speaker 4: So, and it feels very unfamiliar, you know?
[4:48] Speaker 5: Right.
[4:49] Speaker 4: But I'm excited because it's going to be like a
[4:51] Speaker 4: totally different culture. I'm so excited about eating Thai food
[4:54] Speaker 4: and just, you know, going somewhere totally new. But I'm excited.
[5:00] Speaker 3: I think you should try Carry On.
[5:02] Speaker 4: I'm going to. I'm going to try.
[5:04] Speaker 3: And then if I'm overwhelmed, I did eight days with
[5:07] Speaker 3: a carry on and I had stuff to spare.
[5:10] Speaker 1: Really?
[5:10] Speaker 3: Yeah. The underwear I had to rewash, which I don't
[5:14] Speaker 3: like to do. So now I'm like, that's my motto
[5:17] Speaker 3: is like overpack underwear. Cause I go through underwear, like hotcakes.
[5:20] Speaker 3: Like I usually go through three, three, four pair a day. Three,
[5:24] Speaker 3: four pair a day. So I wake up and I
[5:27] Speaker 3: put on a pair to like go get breakfast, usually
[5:29] Speaker 3: at the hotel.
[5:30] Speaker 4: Okay.
[5:30] Speaker 3: Then I come back to the room. If we, depending on,
[5:33] Speaker 3: The type of vacation, if we go work out, I'll
[5:35] Speaker 3: put on a different pair or I'll put on a
[5:38] Speaker 3: bathing suit.
[5:39] Speaker 4: Okay.
[5:39] Speaker 3: So when we come back, I'll put on underwear when
[5:41] Speaker 3: I come back. Then I'll usually shower and I'll put
[5:43] Speaker 3: on another pair to like go to dinner. And then
[5:45] Speaker 3: I have my pair that I sleep in. Oh.
[5:48] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[5:48] Speaker 3: It's a lot of underwear.
[5:50] Speaker 4: Wow. There's a lot of. feels like a lot of
[5:52] Speaker 4: unnecessary changes in there well underwear I don't.
[5:55] Speaker 3: Mess with because I'm like once it's dirty it's dirty
[5:58] Speaker 3: I don't need to be wearing that all day I
[5:59] Speaker 3: don't need to be like sweating in it and.
[6:01] Speaker 6: Then no I agree yeah no I agree yeah yeah
[6:05] Speaker 6: normally I just do you know one to go to
[6:07] Speaker 6: breakfast and I change it to a swimsuit and then
[6:09] Speaker 6: if I take a shower I stay in a robe
[6:11] Speaker 6: and then put the underwear.
[6:12] Speaker 3: On before you go to dinner yeah but what if
[6:15] Speaker 3: you come back and you shower and it's like three
[6:17] Speaker 3: o'clock you're not going to dinner till seven you just
[6:18] Speaker 3: don't put any underwear on.
[6:19] Speaker 4: You're just free ball If I'm just in the hotel? Yeah.
[6:22] Speaker 2: Yeah?
[6:23] Speaker 3: Just like sit on the couches with like your crotch out?
[6:25] Speaker 4: I'm not sitting on the couch. Well, in like a
[6:27] Speaker 4: robe or something. Or pants.
[6:32] Speaker 3: Feels cold.
[6:34] Speaker 4: There's some people that just don't wear, like even with
[6:36] Speaker 4: jeans and stuff.
[6:37] Speaker 3: I couldn't imagine.
[6:38] Speaker 4: No, I can't.
[6:39] Speaker 3: No, I need her covered and protected at all times.
[6:45] Speaker 4: Yeah, multiple times a day, it seems.
[6:47] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah. Actually, you know, I need new underwear. I
[6:49] Speaker 3: need more underwear.
[6:50] Speaker 4: Okay, I did not expect this episode to go into
[6:54] Speaker 4: underwear conversation, but I bought... I was just reading about
[6:58] Speaker 4: how you should be wearing mostly cotton underwear.
[7:02] Speaker 3: Welcome to 2020 when I said this for the first time.
[7:06] Speaker 3: I love the.
[7:10] Speaker 4: Thongs that are like that spandexy like no show material
[7:14] Speaker 4: so I've always gone for those no no no but
[7:16] Speaker 4: I found some that are like 90 something percent cotton
[7:21] Speaker 4: and they're very different it's Victoria's Secret oh they do yeah.
[7:26] Speaker 3: So again this is so where they were having this
[7:28] Speaker 3: conversation but you know that little like I don't even
[7:31] Speaker 3: know how to describe it but like the landing strip
[7:33] Speaker 3: the landing strip on a underwear like on a thong
[7:36] Speaker 3: most thongs will make that part cotton and Even if
[7:40] Speaker 3: the actual underwear itself that's, like, going up your butt
[7:43] Speaker 3: and stuff isn't cotton, they'll make the landing strip cotton.
[7:46] Speaker 4: Right.
[7:47] Speaker 3: So at least you can rest assured that, like, I
[7:49] Speaker 3: feel like most underwear have that.
[7:52] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[7:53] Speaker 3: I like to go 100% full cotton.
[7:56] Speaker 4: Uh-huh.
[7:57] Speaker 3: Every part that's going up my butt, around my sides.
[7:59] Speaker 5: Uh-huh.
[8:00] Speaker 2: Everywhere. Yeah.
[8:00] Speaker 3: Yeah. I like cotton.
[8:02] Speaker 4: Yeah, so I just made the switch to those as well.
[8:05] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[8:06] Speaker 4: They're not 100%, but pretty close. It's a hard switch.
[8:08] Speaker 3: It's a hard switch once you get those, once you're
[8:11] Speaker 3: used to those no-shows and the really, like, smooth ones.
[8:15] Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
[8:16] Speaker 3: These granny panties.
[8:18] Speaker 4: I'm not wearing granny panties.
[8:19] Speaker 3: Oh, you're not?
[8:21] Speaker 4: Well, you ought to sleep in, but.
[8:23] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[8:24] Speaker 4: You walk around in grannies?
[8:26] Speaker 3: Depends on what I'm wearing.
[8:27] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[8:28] Speaker 6: Good.
[8:29] Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
[8:30] Speaker 3: I'm not ashamed of it.
[8:31] Speaker 4: Exposure therapy.
[8:35] Speaker 3: We were like, I'm like the fact that I was
[8:38] Speaker 3: 15 years old, 13 years old with a, like a
[8:40] Speaker 3: piece of. string coming up my butt no like like
[8:44] Speaker 3: some of those were.
[8:45] Speaker 1: Insane what we wore what we wore like it was
[8:49] Speaker 1: like literally dental floss up my butt just like shaking
[8:53] Speaker 1: around in there it's disgusting when you think about it
[8:56] Speaker 1: shaking what was shaking around in there yeah if i
[8:59] Speaker 1: was like twerking in the.
[9:00] Speaker 3: Club nothing's going.
[9:03] Speaker 4: Just flossing flossing the cheeks No, I was thinking about
[9:10] Speaker 4: my first ever thong was this like teeny tiny strip.
[9:15] Speaker 4: And then the print was cherries, like a cherry denim thong.
[9:20] Speaker 5: Denim.
[9:20] Speaker 4: Denim.
[9:21] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[9:22] Speaker 4: The strap was denim, if you can imagine.
[9:26] Speaker 3: Yeah, I can imagine. Like the underwear that I used
[9:28] Speaker 3: to wear because I used to think like it mattered
[9:32] Speaker 3: or like, I don't know. It's so weird. how self-conscious
[9:35] Speaker 3: i was about my underwear when i was younger yeah
[9:38] Speaker 3: and now.
[9:38] Speaker 4: Like 17 year old tanya would be shook to see
[9:41] Speaker 4: the granny cotton.
[9:42] Speaker 3: Granny the 100 full cotton panties that she's wearing now
[9:47] Speaker 3: oh my gosh 17 year old me would be like.
[9:50] Speaker 4: What have you become literally but she'd be proud that
[9:55] Speaker 4: you're more.
[9:55] Speaker 3: Comfortable and uti free and uti free most importantly exactly Well,
[10:00] Speaker 3: we have some Dear Banya.
[10:01] Speaker 4: Should we get going?
[10:03] Speaker 3: You want to change the subject?
[10:04] Speaker 4: Well, I just didn't have anything else to say after
[10:08] Speaker 4: the visual of you twerking in the club and your
[10:11] Speaker 4: strength on.
[10:13] Speaker 3: We've all been there.
[10:13] Speaker 4: No?
[10:15] Speaker 2: Mark? I can't say I have. This is from Anonymous.
[10:19] Speaker 2: I'm 30 and I've been with my boyfriend for a while.
[10:21] Speaker 2: We're talking about moving in together. I'm excited. I feel ready,
[10:24] Speaker 2: but there's one thing holding me back. I've never lived alone.
[10:28] Speaker 2: I had roommates in college. Since then, I've been living
[10:31] Speaker 2: with my parents. Part of me feels like living alone
[10:33] Speaker 2: is an important life experience. I'll regret skipping. But another
[10:36] Speaker 2: part of me wonders if I'd just be wasting money
[10:38] Speaker 2: and delaying something I already know I want. I'd also
[10:41] Speaker 2: be moving into my boyfriend's existing place, so I worry
[10:43] Speaker 2: it might feel a little more like his home than ours.
[10:47] Speaker 2: For some reason, I feel a little late in the
[10:48] Speaker 2: game to move out on my own for a year
[10:50] Speaker 2: just to say I did it. At the same time,
[10:52] Speaker 2: it might be my last chance to ever really live
[10:54] Speaker 2: by myself. What do you guys think is the best
[10:56] Speaker 2: thing to do here? Can't wait to hear what you
[10:58] Speaker 2: have to say. Love you all so much.
[10:59] Speaker 3: Do you have an opinion?
[11:04] Speaker 4: I think living alone and having your own place is
[11:11] Speaker 4: invaluable time. Because you're learning the things that you... like
[11:18] Speaker 4: for your own home and you're getting to make those
[11:20] Speaker 4: decisions without having to like, it's almost like you get
[11:25] Speaker 4: to have a selfish time of your life where everything
[11:27] Speaker 4: is what you want it to be. And I think
[11:29] Speaker 4: that's a really fun time, but I also see your
[11:33] Speaker 4: point of if this is your person and wanting to
[11:36] Speaker 4: move in together, but it might be a tough adjustment.
[11:42] Speaker 3: Here's my thing. I'm not somebody that's going to be like, Oh,
[11:46] Speaker 3: I think you have to live alone because like you
[11:49] Speaker 3: should have that experience and yada, yada, yada. Like if
[11:51] Speaker 3: you found the person you want to be with and
[11:53] Speaker 3: you want to like get engaged, get married and just
[11:55] Speaker 3: move in with this person, like I'm all for that.
[11:58] Speaker 3: But I didn't see you say here that you said
[12:02] Speaker 3: you're talking about moving in together, but you're not talking
[12:04] Speaker 3: about getting engaged and you still have this feeling that
[12:07] Speaker 3: you want to live alone. You said you've never lived
[12:09] Speaker 3: alone and you feel like you want to have that experience.
[12:11] Speaker 3: So I feel like now is the perfect time to
[12:13] Speaker 3: do it because you're not engaged and So why not
[12:18] Speaker 3: get your own place for a short period of time?
[12:21] Speaker 3: Try and get a six month lease if you can.
[12:23] Speaker 3: Six months to a year. Do it for six months
[12:26] Speaker 3: to a year. And then after you get engaged or
[12:28] Speaker 3: even after you get married, then you move in. Like
[12:31] Speaker 3: now's your time to do it. If you don't do
[12:32] Speaker 3: it now, it's now or never. It's now, now, now, now, now, now,
[12:38] Speaker 3: now or never.
[12:39] Speaker 4: Thank you. Um, I agree. I, I, my advice would
[12:43] Speaker 4: be to find a six month, like short-term lease, have
[12:47] Speaker 4: that experience. And also when your boyfriend comes over, see
[12:51] Speaker 4: how he treats your space, because then when you move
[12:54] Speaker 4: in together, you'll kind of have an idea of how
[12:57] Speaker 4: he lives, how he, how he'll work with your life
[13:00] Speaker 4: and your style. And then maybe there's a world where
[13:02] Speaker 4: y'all can get a place together. So you're not having
[13:04] Speaker 4: to move into his home and it just feels like
[13:06] Speaker 4: his place. But I think it's, I agree. I think
[13:10] Speaker 4: you're not engaged yet. You want the experience of living alone.
[13:14] Speaker 4: And why not? If not now, when?
[13:18] Speaker 3: Literally, this is your chance.
[13:19] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[13:20] Speaker 3: It is now or never.
[13:21] Speaker 4: It's not now or never because, and I hope everything
[13:25] Speaker 4: goes well.
[13:25] Speaker 3: They might not get engaged.
[13:26] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[13:27] Speaker 4: I hope, I just would, if you're, if this is
[13:28] Speaker 4: your person and you see things moving in the, in
[13:30] Speaker 4: the direction of getting engaged in this being the person
[13:33] Speaker 4: that you spend your life with, then I think do
[13:36] Speaker 4: it now.
[13:36] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[13:37] Speaker 4: Why not? I don't think it's, I don't think you'll
[13:40] Speaker 4: see it as wasting money. I think you'll see it
[13:42] Speaker 4: as finding your independence and finding what you love and
[13:46] Speaker 4: how you want a home to feel.
[13:47] Speaker 3: I have such fond memories of when I lived alone.
[13:51] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[13:52] Speaker 3: Like that was such a time. I would sit on
[13:55] Speaker 3: my couch. If I was hungover, I would sit on
[13:57] Speaker 3: my couch all day long on a Saturday. I would
[13:59] Speaker 3: post my breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I would not move
[14:02] Speaker 3: off of that couch and feel no guilt about it.
[14:04] Speaker 6: Yeah.
[14:06] Speaker 3: And do nothing. If I needed to do housework, I
[14:08] Speaker 3: would do it the next day.
[14:09] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[14:09] Speaker 3: Because nobody.
[14:11] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[14:11] Speaker 6: Yeah.
[14:11] Speaker 4: It's just you.
[14:12] Speaker 3: It's just me.
[14:12] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[14:14] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[14:14] Speaker 4: It's fun. It is fun.
[14:16] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[14:17] Speaker 4: And you're in a place where you, you know, can
[14:19] Speaker 4: have the company if you want him to come over.
[14:22] Speaker 4: But you also have the freedom to be alone. Yeah.
[14:25] Speaker 3: Here, have a key. You want a key? You want
[14:26] Speaker 3: a drawer?
[14:27] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[14:27] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[14:27] Speaker 3: Here's some of the closet.
[14:28] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[14:28] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[14:29] Speaker 4: So our advice is see if you can find a
[14:31] Speaker 4: little short term lease and go have that experience, girl.
[14:34] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[14:35] Speaker 4: And so fun. Give us updates. Okay, we have a
[14:39] Speaker 4: cousin that wants to have weddings at the same time.
[14:43] Speaker 4: Sounds tricky.
[14:44] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[14:45] Speaker 4: Let's take a break. We'll come back.
[14:47] Speaker 5: We're back.
[15:04] Speaker 2: Anonymous, my cousin and I got engaged three weeks apart.
[15:07] Speaker 2: My fiance and I knew we wanted to get married
[15:09] Speaker 2: next summer, so we started planning right away, found a
[15:11] Speaker 2: venue that's really meaningful to me and my family. Before
[15:14] Speaker 2: choosing a date, I reached out to my cousin because
[15:16] Speaker 2: she technically got engaged first and wanted to make sure
[15:19] Speaker 2: we weren't planning our weddings too close together to make
[15:22] Speaker 2: sure the family could, we don't want to make the
[15:23] Speaker 2: family have to choose between them. She said they hadn't
[15:26] Speaker 2: started planning or even thought of a date yet, so
[15:28] Speaker 2: we had booked it, got done, done deal. A couple
[15:30] Speaker 2: weeks later, My cousin called and asked if we would
[15:33] Speaker 2: consider having our weddings at the same time so our
[15:36] Speaker 2: family wouldn't have to travel twice in one year. I
[15:39] Speaker 2: was shocked. These are our weddings, not a joint birthday party.
[15:43] Speaker 2: Am I the a-hole for not even wanting to consider this?
[15:48] Speaker 4: No, I don't think you're an a-hole for this.
[15:50] Speaker 2: It's such a TV sitcom thing. Hey, let's have our
[15:52] Speaker 2: wedding together in the backyard. Like, it's not a realistic thing.
[15:55] Speaker 3: Does she mean together?
[15:56] Speaker 2: Well, I don't know.
[15:58] Speaker 3: No, surely this person didn't mean... They would have a
[16:01] Speaker 3: joint wedding. There's no way.
[16:03] Speaker 2: So what would it be? Same weekend?
[16:04] Speaker 3: She's saying, hold on. She called and asked if we
[16:07] Speaker 3: would consider having our weddings at the same time. Meaning like,
[16:13] Speaker 3: where are they?
[16:13] Speaker 4: Are they both on the same Saturday afternoon? So like
[16:15] Speaker 4: the same night, but different venues?
[16:17] Speaker 3: So they wouldn't have to travel. I'm just confused as
[16:20] Speaker 3: to where. Are they wanting to have their weddings in
[16:22] Speaker 3: the same place?
[16:23] Speaker 4: It sounds like either on the same weekend or at
[16:26] Speaker 4: the same place. I don't know. Regardless, I don't think
[16:30] Speaker 4: you're an a-hole for not... I think you did the
[16:32] Speaker 4: right thing. You reached out. You're like, hey, do you
[16:34] Speaker 4: have anything? This is what we're doing. And I don't
[16:36] Speaker 4: think that it's fair to expect you to plan your
[16:41] Speaker 4: wedding around what's convenient for the family.
[16:44] Speaker 3: Literally, no.
[16:45] Speaker 4: Yeah, no. This is.
[16:47] Speaker 5: I agree.
[16:48] Speaker 4: It's not a birthday party. It's not... It's not a party.
[16:51] Speaker 3: And also, if you have a destination wedding, no matter
[16:54] Speaker 3: where the destination is, you know... people are going to
[16:58] Speaker 3: say no. It's not going to be easy or convenient
[17:00] Speaker 3: for people. So it's like, just know if you're having
[17:03] Speaker 3: a wedding, that's destination. There will be a lot more
[17:06] Speaker 3: no's than you were anticipating maybe, or just know that
[17:09] Speaker 3: the no's are coming. And it is what it is.
[17:12] Speaker 3: The people who want to come will come.
[17:14] Speaker 4: I can't tell if they're having the wedding, if they
[17:16] Speaker 4: picked a local venue and people are just having to
[17:18] Speaker 4: travel to them. And so the cousin's like.
[17:22] Speaker 3: It can't be a local wedding because why would she
[17:25] Speaker 3: ask to do it at the same time? It doesn't
[17:26] Speaker 3: make sense.
[17:27] Speaker 4: Yeah, so that people traveling from out of town don't
[17:30] Speaker 4: have to do it twice.
[17:32] Speaker 3: Oh, it's local for them, but they don't want people
[17:35] Speaker 3: traveling from outside. So she's saying, like, you get married Friday,
[17:38] Speaker 3: we'll get married Saturday, bang it.
[17:40] Speaker 4: On one weekend. I'd be like, hell to the no. Anonymous,
[17:44] Speaker 4: you're not an a-hole for not wanting to consider. I
[17:46] Speaker 4: think you just say, hey, I understand, like, trying to be,
[17:50] Speaker 4: you know, consider of everyone's travel time, but I don't
[17:53] Speaker 4: want it to feel like we're having to adjust just to...
[17:57] Speaker 4: make it convenient for everybody. So is there any way
[18:01] Speaker 4: you could, I don't really want to do our wedding
[18:02] Speaker 4: at the same time. I don't think you're wrong for
[18:05] Speaker 4: that at all.
[18:06] Speaker 3: I wouldn't hate a week apart.
[18:09] Speaker 4: A week apart is fine.
[18:11] Speaker 3: If you guys aren't traveling, if you're staying in.
[18:14] Speaker 2: That's a big ask of your guests.
[18:16] Speaker 4: To stay a week. That's what I'm saying.
[18:17] Speaker 2: To stay a full week in another city. That's what
[18:19] Speaker 2: I'm saying. You're talking seven, eight nights in a hotel. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[18:24] Speaker 4: I think it just make more sense for her to
[18:26] Speaker 4: space it out and maybe do like later in the
[18:27] Speaker 4: fall or the next spring or something just because they
[18:30] Speaker 4: don't have anything planned. And that way that gives people
[18:32] Speaker 4: plenty of time to, you know, travel again the next year.
[18:36] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[18:38] Speaker 4: But I think you did the right thing. You reached out,
[18:40] Speaker 4: you asked her and then you book something that meant
[18:42] Speaker 4: something to you and you get to have your moment
[18:44] Speaker 4: and she should understand that.
[18:46] Speaker 5: And like.
[18:47] Speaker 3: Weddings are an inconvenience. If you're not the bride and groom,
[18:50] Speaker 3: weddings aren't inconvenience, but they're an inconvenience that you want
[18:54] Speaker 3: to do.
[18:54] Speaker 4: Do you know what I mean?
[18:55] Speaker 3: Like it is what it is. It just is what
[18:57] Speaker 3: it is. So it's like the people that want to
[18:59] Speaker 3: be there, your family members that maybe don't want to
[19:01] Speaker 3: be there. We'll use it as an excuse. Oh, we
[19:03] Speaker 3: don't want to travel twice in three months or whatever. Fine.
[19:07] Speaker 3: Let them, you know what I mean?
[19:09] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[19:09] Speaker 4: Yeah, I just even if you do it in the
[19:11] Speaker 4: same month, I don't think it's don't even say like
[19:14] Speaker 4: I'm down to get married at the same time. But
[19:15] Speaker 4: I also think I don't want to do it the
[19:17] Speaker 4: same weekend. And I think it's a lot to expect
[19:20] Speaker 4: people to stay for a week.
[19:21] Speaker 3: If somebody came to me and said, could we get
[19:24] Speaker 3: married in Punta Mita if we had like same friends
[19:26] Speaker 3: or something on Saturday? You guys do Friday. We'll take Saturday.
[19:30] Speaker 3: I'd be like, you're not invited anymore.
[19:33] Speaker 4: What's the point of planning something and putting that much
[19:36] Speaker 4: effort into something just to have it? merged with someone
[19:39] Speaker 4: else yes i think it's different if it's like you
[19:44] Speaker 4: said like a birthday party or celebrating really anything other
[19:48] Speaker 4: than the.
[19:48] Speaker 3: Wedding yes correct.
[19:52] Speaker 4: So, yeah, you're not an a-hole, and please update us
[19:56] Speaker 4: because I'm very fascinated by this. And I want the
[19:58] Speaker 4: details on, are y'all trying to do a destination wedding
[20:01] Speaker 4: at the same time, or are you doing a local
[20:02] Speaker 4: wedding where people would be coming to y'all? I'm curious.
[20:09] Speaker 4: All right.
[20:10] Speaker 2: You want to do one more, the fun one, and
[20:13] Speaker 2: then play the game? What do you want to do here?
[20:14] Speaker 3: Yeah, fun one, play the game. Fun one, play the game.
[20:16] Speaker 2: Alexis, I just heard the podcast where the girl got
[20:19] Speaker 2: the ick with her boyfriend bringing wipes on vacation. I've
[20:23] Speaker 2: been married to my husband for nine years this September.
[20:25] Speaker 2: He really is the greatest guy alive. He's my best
[20:28] Speaker 2: friend and the love of my life. That being said,
[20:31] Speaker 2: if he brought wipes on vacation, I think I would
[20:34] Speaker 2: get the ick. Every time I saw them, I would
[20:37] Speaker 2: just think of his pale little butthole. And I wouldn't
[20:40] Speaker 2: be able to get it out of my head. In fact,
[20:42] Speaker 2: I almost have Vic just thinking about it. So hopefully
[20:45] Speaker 2: the listener can come back from this. I'm a day
[20:47] Speaker 2: one listener and love y'all's podcast.
[20:49] Speaker 4: You know, things I never thought we would say on
[20:51] Speaker 4: this podcast.
[20:53] Speaker 3: Pay a little butthole.
[20:54] Speaker 4: Pay a little butthole. Yeah.
[20:58] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[21:00] Speaker 4: You said she wouldn't come back from it, right? You
[21:02] Speaker 4: said it was not. I need an update.
[21:04] Speaker 2: Isn't that the definition of the ick? The ick is
[21:06] Speaker 2: something you don't come back from.
[21:08] Speaker 4: No. Really?
[21:09] Speaker 3: Because it's early.
[21:10] Speaker 2: In a relationship. Like, I feel like husbands and wives,
[21:12] Speaker 2: you might get an ick, but you can survive it
[21:14] Speaker 2: because you've made this commitment. It's early in a relationship.
[21:17] Speaker 2: Something happens. You're like, I can't. I'm done. I just
[21:20] Speaker 2: watched him chase a ping pong ball. I'm no longer
[21:22] Speaker 2: attracted to him. Yeah.
[21:23] Speaker 4: Chasing the ping pong ball is one of my favorite ones.
[21:27] Speaker 3: That can get really dark.
[21:29] Speaker 4: No, like.
[21:29] Speaker 3: Chasing a ping, and like squatting down and like. And
[21:33] Speaker 3: then you kick it on accident.
[21:34] Speaker 4: It goes further. It's tough. Drinking out of a straw. Tough.
[21:39] Speaker 3: Tough to come back from, let me tell you. Uphill battle.
[21:42] Speaker 4: But if Robbie was drinking out of a straw?
[21:45] Speaker 3: I'd love it. I'd be like, I wish I was
[21:47] Speaker 3: that straw. Give me some of that straw.
[21:50] Speaker 4: Oh, it's risky asking me that.
[21:52] Speaker 3: I'm like literally obsessed with marriage. Like I wish I
[21:54] Speaker 3: would have done it sooner.
[21:54] Speaker 4: Oh, that's so cute.
[21:57] Speaker 5: I know.
[21:57] Speaker 4: Do you tell him that? All the time.
[21:59] Speaker 5: Great.
[22:00] Speaker 4: Does he feel the same?
[22:01] Speaker 3: Yeah, he just doesn't say it all the time.
[22:03] Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Have you mentioned the body pillow situation?
[22:06] Speaker 4: What?
[22:06] Speaker 2: On this particular program?
[22:08] Speaker 5: No.
[22:10] Speaker 2: Tanya wants Robbie to sleep with a body pillow.
[22:12] Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
[22:12] Speaker 2: Robbie does not want to sleep with a body pillow.
[22:14] Speaker 2: And that should be, to me, the end of the conversation.
[22:17] Speaker 4: Right.
[22:17] Speaker 2: However, it is not.
[22:19] Speaker 4: Why?
[22:21] Speaker 3: My sleep has been exponentially changed. For the rest of
[22:27] Speaker 3: my life because of this pillow. Like it is the
[22:30] Speaker 3: best sleep I have ever had. I will sleep with
[22:34] Speaker 3: this pillow for the rest of my life. Like I
[22:37] Speaker 3: love it. So why would I not want my partner,
[22:40] Speaker 3: my precious little angel partner, to have this amazing sleep
[22:43] Speaker 3: like I am having?
[22:44] Speaker 2: Because he doesn't want that.
[22:48] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[22:48] Speaker 3: He doesn't know what he wants.
[22:50] Speaker 4: But is he sleeping fine?
[22:52] Speaker 3: He could sleep better.
[22:54] Speaker 4: Why don't you just let him use yours for the night?
[22:56] Speaker 4: I'm trying.
[22:57] Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. I'm not going to buy you one.
[22:59] Speaker 3: Why don't you just sleep with mine, even though I
[23:00] Speaker 3: don't want to give it up for the night, but
[23:01] Speaker 3: I would just give it up so you could get addicted,
[23:04] Speaker 3: feel how it feels.
[23:05] Speaker 4: But does he sleep? Because you sleep on your side. Oh,
[23:08] Speaker 4: he does? Like this. It looks peaceful.
[23:12] Speaker 3: It is peaceful, but imagine like....
[23:16] Speaker 4: Sometimes you just have to let people come to their
[23:18] Speaker 4: decisions on their own.
[23:19] Speaker 3: It goes in between your legs. It wraps around your arms.
[23:22] Speaker 3: It's like the most amazing... Let.
[23:26] Speaker 4: Me try it. Becca. Send me the link. You.
[23:30] Speaker 3: Would be obsessed with it because it goes between your legs,
[23:33] Speaker 3: but like your whole leg. So like your leg is
[23:35] Speaker 3: like laying, your top leg is like laying on a
[23:38] Speaker 3: full on pillow. And then your arm, you know, when
[23:40] Speaker 3: you're sleeping on your side, everything's like squished over. It's
[23:43] Speaker 3: not because you have this nice pillow to like put
[23:45] Speaker 3: your arm around. And then the other one goes around it.
[23:47] Speaker 3: So it's like, you're not getting a dead arm or
[23:49] Speaker 3: anything like that. And then you don't even need a pillow.
[23:52] Speaker 3: I do have a pillow, but you don't necessarily need
[23:54] Speaker 3: the pillow because it's there.
[23:56] Speaker 4: Wow.
[23:56] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[23:57] Speaker 4: Send me the link. I'll try it. If Robbie doesn't
[23:59] Speaker 4: want to. We were with someone and their little boy,
[24:03] Speaker 4: he likes to just wear a t-shirt and then nothing
[24:07] Speaker 4: on the bottom. I said, heard of people doing this.
[24:13] Speaker 3: And he doesn't want his shoulders to get cold.
[24:15] Speaker 4: No, and that's why I said he likes his shoulders.
[24:17] Speaker 4: I think he likes his shoulders warm from what I
[24:19] Speaker 4: hear from experience.
[24:21] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[24:22] Speaker 3: I'm telling you though, like you're going to be absolutely shook.
[24:26] Speaker 4: I'm excited about it. I'm, I'm, I wouldn't say I'm
[24:29] Speaker 4: an amazing sleeper, so I'm willing to try new things.
[24:32] Speaker 3: It does hinder cuddle time a little bit because now
[24:37] Speaker 3: instead of like when we watch TV, we would like cuddle.
[24:39] Speaker 3: Now I'm just like in my cocoon.
[24:40] Speaker 4: Oh, well we cuddle, watch TV and then I normally
[24:44] Speaker 4: fall asleep and then I.
[24:46] Speaker 3: Go into your side.
[24:47] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[24:47] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[24:47] Speaker 5: Okay.
[24:47] Speaker 3: So perfect.
[24:48] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[24:49] Speaker 3: Just keep it there.
[24:49] Speaker 4: Okay. I'll just keep it on the side of me.
[24:52] Speaker 3: And Sunny loves it too. She just gets like right
[24:54] Speaker 3: in there. She picks me more now because she, like,
[24:57] Speaker 3: loves the pillow.
[24:58] Speaker 4: Well, to your motives.
[24:59] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[25:00] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[25:01] Speaker 4: Well, yeah, send me the link. Send me your shop line.
[25:03] Speaker 2: I'm happy to.
[25:03] Speaker 3: I'm going to give you, because I have had two.
[25:05] Speaker 3: The second one that I got is, like, even fluffier and, like, better.
[25:09] Speaker 4: What brand is it?
[25:10] Speaker 5: No idea.
[25:10] Speaker 3: I got them on Amazon.
[25:11] Speaker 5: Oh, okay.
[25:12] Speaker 3: Can't wait to try.
[25:13] Speaker 4: Okay.
[25:14] Speaker 3: Get a cover for it, though, so you wash that.
[25:17] Speaker 4: Oh.
[25:18] Speaker 3: I'll send you both links.
[25:19] Speaker 2: Okay.
[25:19] Speaker 4: Can't wait.
[25:20] Speaker 5: Got you.
[25:21] Speaker 4: We're going to, I think, attempt the number game. Again,
[25:25] Speaker 4: is that what we're doing?
[25:26] Speaker 2: That's what I was told to do, and I have
[25:28] Speaker 2: numbers prepared for the two of you.
[25:29] Speaker 4: Okay, great. People seem to like it, and hopefully we
[25:33] Speaker 4: get some better, less mathy questions from Tanya today.
[25:36] Speaker 2: Less mathy.
[25:37] Speaker 3: Let's sit back and relax.
[25:38] Speaker 4: Here we go.
[25:38] Speaker 2: All right.
[26:00] Speaker 4: We just tried to do the number game and it
[26:02] Speaker 4: was just a disaster.
[26:03] Speaker 3: Yeah, we won't be playing that again.
[26:06] Speaker 4: We tried. We tried. And I think the first one
[26:09] Speaker 4: was entertaining because Tanya was asking the craziest questions. But
[26:12] Speaker 4: beyond that, we're not very good at it. So we're
[26:15] Speaker 4: actually just going to do the birthday game today.
[26:19] Speaker 5: Mark!
[26:19] Speaker 4: Which is where Tanya thrives. Thrives. So that's what we're
[26:24] Speaker 4: going to do.
[26:25] Speaker 2: All right, here we go. I will give you a celebrity.
[26:27] Speaker 2: You will guess the age. The other will say higher
[26:29] Speaker 2: or lower. Since Easton is not here, we'll be playing
[26:31] Speaker 2: higher or lower style. Tanya goes first, since she probably
[26:36] Speaker 2: didn't win last time. Is that fair?
[26:39] Speaker 4: I think she's pretty good, but yeah, she always goes first.
[26:41] Speaker 2: All right, here we go. Blake Lively, Tanya, how old
[26:45] Speaker 2: did she turn on Tuesday?
[26:48] Speaker 3: Blake Lively turned 39 years old on Tuesday.
[26:50] Speaker 2: That's right. See, she already knew that.
[26:52] Speaker 4: Yeah, obviously.
[26:53] Speaker 2: Why?
[26:54] Speaker 3: Because she's my age.
[26:55] Speaker 2: Oh, okay. Well, I guess you get a point. I'm
[26:59] Speaker 2: not sure any of our games are working today. All right, Becca,
[27:03] Speaker 2: Jack Black has a birthday. I get a point. I
[27:05] Speaker 2: gave it to you.
[27:05] Speaker 4: Did you not hear the ding, ding, ding? Why is
[27:07] Speaker 4: that not working?
[27:08] Speaker 2: Jack Black, how old is he turning on Thursday? Today. Hey,
[27:12] Speaker 2: Jack Black, happy birthday.
[27:15] Speaker 3: This is tough.
[27:15] Speaker 4: This is a tough one. I'm going to say Jack
[27:20] Speaker 4: Black's turning 54. He is not 54.
[27:23] Speaker 2: Is he older or younger, Tanya?
[27:25] Speaker 3: Older.
[27:25] Speaker 2: He is 57. 2-0, Tanya. That's great.
[27:29] Speaker 3: 2-0, Tanya. All right.
[27:32] Speaker 2: See, some of these I think might be. Okay, here's
[27:34] Speaker 2: a good one. Tanya. Melissa McCarthy. Birthday this week.
[27:40] Speaker 3: 57.
[27:41] Speaker 2: Not 57. Older or younger, Becca?
[27:44] Speaker 4: She's younger.
[27:45] Speaker 2: She's 56. Very nice.
[27:46] Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
[27:47] Speaker 2: Becca's on the board.
[27:48] Speaker 4: Two for Tanya, one for Becca.
[27:52] Speaker 2: Let's go with Tanya. No, this is yours, Becca. Macaulay Culkin,
[27:58] Speaker 2: star of Home Alone. Macaulay Culkin. How old is Macaulay
[28:02] Speaker 2: Culkin turning this week?
[28:03] Speaker 5: 42.
[28:08] Speaker 2: He's not 42. Is he older or younger, Tanya? He's 46. Oh,
[28:11] Speaker 2: my God.
[28:11] Speaker 5: Looks great.
[28:12] Speaker 4: Tanya's on the break.
[28:15] Speaker 2: She's up three to one, and that's, of course, we
[28:16] Speaker 2: play first to four. We play a best of seven. Becca,
[28:21] Speaker 2: Cameron Diaz. Birthday this week.
[28:28] Speaker 5: 49. 49.
[28:32] Speaker 2: Tanya, for the win.
[28:33] Speaker 5: Alder.
[28:33] Speaker 2: 54 years old. Oh, my God. I just smoked you.
[28:40] Speaker 3: You know what they call that?
[28:40] Speaker 4: They call that cooked.
[28:42] Speaker 3: You know what they call that? They call that toasted.
[28:44] Speaker 3: You know what they call that? They call that mogged.
[28:48] Speaker 5: Wow.
[28:49] Speaker 4: That's what mogged means?
[28:50] Speaker 3: I'm not sure.
[28:51] Speaker 4: Oh.
[28:51] Speaker 2: I don't think exactly, but it's close enough, I think.
[28:54] Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not so far off.
[28:55] Speaker 2: It's showing up other people.
[28:56] Speaker 4: I thought mogged was when you're looking at the camera.
[28:58] Speaker 3: Yeah, that's mogging, too.
[28:59] Speaker 2: That's mugging.
[29:00] Speaker 3: Oh, that's the same thing, mogging, too.
[29:03] Speaker 2: Mogging is just showing up to people around you.
[29:04] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[29:06] Speaker 4: Oh, I see.
[29:07] Speaker 3: You can do that in a photo.
[29:08] Speaker 4: Like you're mogging them.
[29:09] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[29:10] Speaker 4: The rest of the people.
[29:11] Speaker 3: Yes.
[29:13] Speaker 4: Congratulations.
[29:14] Speaker 3: Thank you. I'd like to thank.
[29:15] Speaker 4: Everyone's looking great out there in the world of Hollywood.
[29:19] Speaker 3: I'd like to thank my brain. And I'd like to thank.
[29:26] Speaker 4: Your pop culture knowledge instincts. Exactly.
[29:28] Speaker 3: Yeah. All the years of watching television. Cameron Diaz, I
[29:33] Speaker 3: knew she was older than whatever you guessed. 40 something.
[29:38] Speaker 5: I know.
[29:39] Speaker 4: Well, I'm trying to gloat. I'm trying to think of
[29:42] Speaker 4: like I was trying to think of how old I
[29:44] Speaker 4: was when I was watching Home Alone. And but I
[29:48] Speaker 4: didn't realize I was that much younger. Yeah.
[29:51] Speaker 3: So the Home Alone thing, I was just like, he's
[29:53] Speaker 3: just it seems a hair older than me.
[29:57] Speaker 4: But he's not just a hair older than you.
[29:59] Speaker 3: A hair and then add a hair.
[30:00] Speaker 4: He's almost a decade older than you. But, yeah, Cameron
[30:06] Speaker 4: Diaz and Jack Black really blew me away.
[30:08] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[30:09] Speaker 3: Cameron Diaz because I feel like articles always make it
[30:11] Speaker 3: a big deal about her age.
[30:13] Speaker 5: Oh, of course.
[30:14] Speaker 3: I know. It's so annoying.
[30:15] Speaker 4: You really can't win.
[30:16] Speaker 3: No, you can't.
[30:18] Speaker 4: Congrats to you and yours.
[30:20] Speaker 3: Thank you.
[30:21] Speaker 4: I hope you take that with you for the weekend
[30:23] Speaker 4: and carry that energy. A winner attitude.
[30:26] Speaker 3: Thank you.
[30:27] Speaker 4: And that's all we have for today, folks. That's all
[30:29] Speaker 4: for this week. I'm going to be gone.
[30:32] Speaker 3: Becca's going to be in Thailand. She's like, don't know
[30:34] Speaker 3: what you're doing with the pod, but sayonara.
[30:37] Speaker 5: Good luck.
[30:37] Speaker 3: See you in September.
[30:38] Speaker 4: Bye, bye, bye. Yeah. So have fun with Tanya and
[30:44] Speaker 4: the crew, and I'll be back when I'm back. Dang.
[30:49] Speaker 4: Love you so much. Love you.
[30:50] Speaker 5: Bye. Bye.
