[0:00] Speaker 1: Scrubbing In with Beka Tilly and Tanya rad and iHeartRadio
[0:04] Speaker 1: and two times People's Choice Award winning podcast, Hello everybody.
[0:13] Speaker 2: We are scrubbing It didn't There used to be a jingle, didn't.
[0:19] Speaker 3: We used to say something.
[0:21] Speaker 4: You would have heard the jingle if no.
[0:23] Speaker 3: No, didn't used to say like a thing, scrub a
[0:26] Speaker 3: dub dub in the tup or something.
[0:27] Speaker 4: Thank you. Yes, I used to say scrub a dub
[0:31] Speaker 4: dub and the.
[0:33] Speaker 5: Listeners didn't like it, and I got sick of defending myself,
[0:36] Speaker 5: so I succumbed to and conformed to You.
[0:41] Speaker 3: Got voted out on that.
[0:42] Speaker 6: Yeah, there was a heated debate in the Facebook group
[0:45] Speaker 6: and a lot of people didn't care for it.
[0:47] Speaker 3: How about that scrubbing in life with my scrubbing in wife?
[0:52] Speaker 6: Wow?
[0:54] Speaker 3: Really nice? Wow?
[0:56] Speaker 6: Yeah there was another one she did for a little bit.
[0:59] Speaker 5: Oh yeah, it's tills and yat and the scrubbing and pad.
[1:03] Speaker 3: Yeah that's good too. They didn't like that. I like that.
[1:06] Speaker 3: Really got work on posture.
[1:10] Speaker 5: In case you don't know, Becca Tilly is not here
[1:14] Speaker 5: this week. She is in Japan, but here joining us
[1:19] Speaker 5: as a co host is my husband, Robbie Ellid. It
[1:27] Speaker 5: feels so nice and weird to say husband. I'm still
[1:31] Speaker 5: not used to it, and it's been like almost a year.
[1:33] Speaker 2: I know it is weird to say wife, right, I
[1:35] Speaker 2: think I'm used to it now you are?
[1:37] Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, yeah, you love it.
[1:39] Speaker 3: I do love it.
[1:40] Speaker 4: Yeah, Okay.
[1:42] Speaker 5: So I was thinking about just like having you as
[1:45] Speaker 5: a co host, and it's so weird because we spend
[1:49] Speaker 5: all of our time together, like we So I was like, normally,
[1:54] Speaker 5: you know, we have different things that we do over
[1:55] Speaker 5: the weekend, different things that we're watching, but like you
[1:57] Speaker 5: and I basically do the same thing.
[1:59] Speaker 4: We watch the same thing.
[2:01] Speaker 6: So Tiny's nervous about this. Yeah, she's nervous about this.
[2:07] Speaker 6: Did earlier she was like, we're gonna talk about it.
[2:10] Speaker 3: She should be nervous every day.
[2:11] Speaker 2: Why, Because I have a bone to pick with all
[2:13] Speaker 2: of you. I'm gonna do it right now at the
[2:15] Speaker 2: top of the show, and conveniently Easton is not here,
[2:19] Speaker 2: and conveniently Becca is not here. But we I've been
[2:23] Speaker 2: waiting patiently for I don't know how long it's been
[2:26] Speaker 2: to confront each of you about the unsolicited attack on
[2:29] Speaker 2: my sleep wear routine. Multi front unsolicited attack from everybody.
[2:36] Speaker 2: I was most hurt by Easton. We'll talk to Easton,
[2:41] Speaker 2: but that shocking Mark. We'll talk to you in a second.
[2:46] Speaker 2: You cut me deep.
[2:47] Speaker 3: That was there's certain things that are not meant for
[2:51] Speaker 3: the air. But it's fine.
[2:51] Speaker 2: I'm happy it's out there. I feel like a weight
[2:54] Speaker 2: has been lifted off my shoulders. But let's make something
[2:57] Speaker 2: very very clear. Thing with pants and underwear on is insane.
[3:04] Speaker 3: It's normal. That is insane.
[3:10] Speaker 6: Of people sleep with some sort some form of bottomwear.
[3:15] Speaker 2: Okay, we put some form of bottomwear, but double is
[3:17] Speaker 2: you're fully clothed, You're fully Nobody wears underwear and pajama pants.
[3:23] Speaker 3: Pajama pants are the bottom the bottom or underwear.
[3:27] Speaker 6: It's interesting because I was going to say, even if
[3:30] Speaker 6: I used to maybe sleep in just underwear when I
[3:33] Speaker 6: was a younger man, when I have kids, now I'm
[3:35] Speaker 6: wearing pants because you're up in the middle of the night,
[3:37] Speaker 6: you're going back and forth. It's it's like I don't
[3:39] Speaker 6: want them to deal with my that that.
[3:43] Speaker 2: Reminds me of a ridiculous story of when I was
[3:45] Speaker 2: a kid and I used to sleep naked, and there
[3:46] Speaker 2: was an earthquake at my house.
[3:47] Speaker 3: I'll get to that in a second.
[3:48] Speaker 2: But but and not to be this might get a
[3:50] Speaker 2: little too personal, but like don't don't you need to
[3:52] Speaker 2: be free down there? Like like I don't like free
[3:57] Speaker 2: Like okay, again, this is not about you specifically want
[4:00] Speaker 2: to talk about it, but like morning wood is a
[4:03] Speaker 2: scientific fact.
[4:05] Speaker 3: No, it's a scientific fact. Yes it is. Okay, when
[4:09] Speaker 3: you have.
[4:09] Speaker 2: Underwear and pants on, that's got to be very uncomfortable.
[4:15] Speaker 6: It's not you hyothetically, it's all uncomfortable that happens from
[4:21] Speaker 6: time to time when you have pants on, it doesn't.
[4:23] Speaker 3: It's not.
[4:24] Speaker 2: Yeah, during the day when I'm not asleep, I don't.
[4:27] Speaker 2: I don't want I mean when I'm sleeping, I want
[4:29] Speaker 2: to be comfortable. See, Okay, No, this is not we
[4:33] Speaker 2: reap what we saw.
[4:34] Speaker 6: I can't have I can't have part touching other parts.
[4:38] Speaker 6: I can't have skin on skin. I can't have any
[4:40] Speaker 6: of that stuff.
[4:42] Speaker 3: I'm not sure there's a skin on skin issue.
[4:44] Speaker 2: But that's also like I don't I don't mind the
[4:46] Speaker 2: skin on skin at all, Like like you don't like
[4:48] Speaker 2: if you're like if you're like what if your net
[4:50] Speaker 2: legs touch?
[4:51] Speaker 4: Yeah, like he puts a pill on between his life.
[4:54] Speaker 6: Yes, I can't have.
[4:55] Speaker 2: My pants underwear and.
[4:58] Speaker 6: My knees touch each other, and I'm in bad. I can't. Also, well,
[5:03] Speaker 6: that's never mind.
[5:04] Speaker 3: Like if you're wearing pants, they don't touch.
[5:07] Speaker 6: No, they do touch. There's it's it's too thin of
[5:09] Speaker 6: a layer because they were very thin, so thin sweatpants
[5:12] Speaker 6: and my knees are touching each other. It's it's too much.
[5:16] Speaker 6: I can't do it. My sister has the same affliction
[5:19] Speaker 6: we can't have. She wears the thing between her boobs.
[5:22] Speaker 3: Have you looked into this? Is this like something that
[5:23] Speaker 3: like I don't know about the way you were raised.
[5:25] Speaker 3: I don't know, but it must be I wonder why.
[5:29] Speaker 4: Yeah, well, wow, that was unexpected.
[5:34] Speaker 5: I just would like to say that I did not
[5:36] Speaker 5: share that piece of information.
[5:37] Speaker 4: Becca is the one who shared it.
[5:39] Speaker 6: And I probably jumped on it like I know you did.
[5:42] Speaker 6: That's why I'm coming for you. But it's so funny.
[5:44] Speaker 3: But Becca brought it up.
[5:46] Speaker 4: Yes it was.
[5:47] Speaker 3: It was innocent.
[5:49] Speaker 4: I was innocent.
[5:50] Speaker 3: Oh wow, this changes everything.
[5:52] Speaker 4: Yeah, I was the innocent one.
[5:54] Speaker 5: Becca brought it up because I think she had just
[5:56] Speaker 5: discovered it.
[5:58] Speaker 2: Yeah, I know when she discovered it. Because you brought
[5:59] Speaker 2: it up at a dinner.
[6:01] Speaker 7: Yes, yes, that multiple people. Yes that I will follow.
[6:04] Speaker 5: The sword, but I did not bring it up on
[6:07] Speaker 5: the podcast. That was definitely Becca.
[6:10] Speaker 2: This whole time, I thought it was you and you,
[6:13] Speaker 2: and then Easton jumped on, and I thought Becca was innocent.
[6:15] Speaker 4: No, Becca was not innocent.
[6:17] Speaker 3: You told me it was cold in here. It is
[6:18] Speaker 3: so hot. I'm like sweating.
[6:20] Speaker 4: Yeah, it's anyway very cold in here.
[6:21] Speaker 6: My favorite part is that your shoulders get cold, and
[6:24] Speaker 6: that's why you wear the shirt. That's my favorite.
[6:26] Speaker 2: But so I used to sleep when I was younger,
[6:30] Speaker 2: totally naked.
[6:30] Speaker 6: Natural.
[6:31] Speaker 2: Yeah, oh natural. I think that's the way God intended it. Okay,
[6:35] Speaker 2: But then two things happened. One I was young, I
[6:40] Speaker 2: must have been like twelve and eleven, twelve something like that.
[6:45] Speaker 2: And there was an earthquake in the middle of the night, and.
[6:49] Speaker 6: The ninety four north Ridge earthquake.
[6:52] Speaker 2: It wasn't ninety Yeah, must been ninety four. Yeah, must
[6:54] Speaker 2: be ninety four, which was fifteen, which is even worse.
[7:00] Speaker 2: Wait was it ninety four? Yeah, it must have been ninety four,
[7:05] Speaker 2: and yeah, that makes it worse.
[7:06] Speaker 3: And so I woke up.
[7:11] Speaker 2: We had a we had a we had like a
[7:13] Speaker 2: we had like a plan and the event of an earthquake,
[7:14] Speaker 2: like what do we do right as a family, And
[7:16] Speaker 2: the plan is that we all like go get under doorways.
[7:20] Speaker 2: And so I woke up, made sure I got my
[7:22] Speaker 2: younger brother who was right down the hall, and then
[7:24] Speaker 2: went to my parents' room and we were all in
[7:27] Speaker 2: the doorway, like you know, huddled up in the doorway
[7:30] Speaker 2: with each other. And it wasn't until like, you know,
[7:33] Speaker 2: minutes after when the shock of like being in the
[7:35] Speaker 2: middle of an earthquake wore off, that we realized that
[7:37] Speaker 2: I was just buttoning the only one that was but
[7:42] Speaker 2: like huddled up with my whole family. Yeah, So that
[7:45] Speaker 2: so from that moment on we changed things. But no,
[7:49] Speaker 2: the shirt we wear sheets covers for a reason if
[7:54] Speaker 2: there were you don't want to be cold in the
[7:57] Speaker 2: middle of the ninety I'm very delicate, my favorite.
[8:01] Speaker 3: But you came around on that, you said.
[8:03] Speaker 5: Yes, yes, I wore a shirt to sleep one night,
[8:06] Speaker 5: and I was like, oh, it's kind of nice, like having.
[8:09] Speaker 3: My shirts down for you. He goes, I know what
[8:11] Speaker 3: you mean, now, I know what you.
[8:13] Speaker 5: Mean now, yeah, because like normally I'm grabbing the sheets
[8:15] Speaker 5: and like putting them as far over me as humanly possible,
[8:18] Speaker 5: you know what I mean. Like, I'm like, that's just
[8:19] Speaker 5: barely little heads. Yeah, but when you wear your T shirt,
[8:23] Speaker 5: you don't have to.
[8:23] Speaker 3: Yeah. Sometimes you get it. You want an arm out.
[8:26] Speaker 3: Sometimes you just want to.
[8:27] Speaker 7: Like yeah, so it's nice.
[8:29] Speaker 2: I get it. Believe me, I get it. The visual,
[8:33] Speaker 2: the whole thing is a little bit. It's very effeminated.
[8:36] Speaker 2: It took me a while to come to terms with
[8:38] Speaker 2: the fact that it was, like, it's so funny.
[8:43] Speaker 5: And I will say, it's like one of the most
[8:47] Speaker 5: what's the word, most common question I get asked about you.
[8:50] Speaker 2: But since all this went down, I've tried to wear
[8:53] Speaker 2: like loose you know, loose boxers, and I can't do
[8:58] Speaker 2: it because of you know, freedom issies.
[9:01] Speaker 4: Yeah. Free.
[9:02] Speaker 3: I want to be free.
[9:03] Speaker 6: My boys need a house. As Kramer once said.
[9:06] Speaker 3: We want to live that. Yeah, I'm a big.
[9:09] Speaker 5: Yeah wow unexpected.
[9:12] Speaker 3: Well but EA said, I still I got it.
[9:16] Speaker 4: We will. You can have your moment with Easton as well.
[9:19] Speaker 3: But now that I know that Becca was the ring
[9:21] Speaker 3: leader here, she.
[9:22] Speaker 4: Was She wasn't the ring leader. It was an innocent mistake.
[9:25] Speaker 5: She just like said it and then they all jumped
[9:28] Speaker 5: on it, and then it was like too far gone
[9:31] Speaker 5: to put back in the box.
[9:33] Speaker 3: I don't believe it.
[9:34] Speaker 5: But you're saying it's nice. Now you're free. Yeah, nothing's
[9:40] Speaker 5: off limits anymore, is that right?
[9:42] Speaker 4: Yeah, that's right.
[9:43] Speaker 6: Well that's a good question. Actually, do you guys have
[9:45] Speaker 6: that conversation you sometimes you talking to Tanya and then
[9:48] Speaker 6: you have to say, by the way, this is not
[9:50] Speaker 6: for the podcast.
[9:50] Speaker 2: I swear well yeah, no, uh, I swear on everything.
[9:57] Speaker 2: This was like the only thing I've ever told her
[10:00] Speaker 2: between us, because I get it is ridiculous. Since then,
[10:02] Speaker 2: nothing I don't say yeah yeah, yeah, yeah. Sometimes I
[10:06] Speaker 2: say like this is not for social media, or like this.
[10:09] Speaker 4: Is just what have you ever said that?
[10:11] Speaker 2: Very rare, no, very rarely, but but I do know, yeah,
[10:14] Speaker 2: I say, don't post that. Yeah yeah, yeah, not because
[10:17] Speaker 2: like I look ugly or anything like that. I'm like,
[10:18] Speaker 2: that's just for us, or I do from time to time.
[10:21] Speaker 2: I've done it. There was a time recently I did it.
[10:23] Speaker 2: I told you to take something down. Actually, yeah, but
[10:25] Speaker 2: that's different.
[10:26] Speaker 5: Okay, Thanksgiving and you just didn't want the family to
[10:28] Speaker 5: like see.
[10:28] Speaker 2: Yea, yeah, yeah that was different. But I've done a couple.
[10:31] Speaker 2: It's very rare. It's very it's very rare.
[10:34] Speaker 4: I can't think of something I don't post or share.
[10:37] Speaker 3: That's the thing.
[10:38] Speaker 2: I don't care, like I'm I don't care. There's like
[10:41] Speaker 2: almost I don't get embarrassed.
[10:42] Speaker 4: It is very fortunate.
[10:43] Speaker 5: Like a lot of people when uh actually just at
[10:47] Speaker 5: jingle Ball, they were saying, like, it's so lucky that
[10:49] Speaker 5: you ended up with somebody like Robbie because you just
[10:53] Speaker 5: kind of in it, like you go with it, you
[10:54] Speaker 5: don't really care, You're not.
[10:56] Speaker 3: Like I think that there's that.
[11:01] Speaker 2: I don't like, not the fact that I don't get embarrassed,
[11:03] Speaker 2: or like I don't care, Like I don't care, like
[11:05] Speaker 2: I can be like the butt of a joke or
[11:07] Speaker 2: like whatever, Like I don't like it doesn't bother me.
[11:09] Speaker 2: I think it's funny and fun That's different though, because
[11:13] Speaker 2: like I was not so comfortable being so public, irrespective
[11:17] Speaker 2: of just like embarrassing or anything like that. I wasn't
[11:20] Speaker 2: so comfortable being public. And at the beginning of our relationship, I.
[11:24] Speaker 4: Know, look you now I can like film you in bed, like.
[11:28] Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's that good about it? Who Yeah, it's
[11:32] Speaker 3: good for you.
[11:32] Speaker 5: Yeah, so this is like the part of the show
[11:36] Speaker 5: where we kind of like talk about our weekend and
[11:41] Speaker 5: catch up and so what did you do this weekend?
[11:44] Speaker 7: Babe?
[11:44] Speaker 2: Yeah, we sent every second together this weekend. What did
[11:48] Speaker 2: we do this weekend? So, first of all, we had
[11:49] Speaker 2: jingle Ball on Friday.
[11:52] Speaker 4: And you're obsessed with mister Fantasy.
[11:54] Speaker 2: I I love mister Fantasy. So I had no idea
[11:59] Speaker 2: you love miss Fantasy. Now you're a little you don't
[12:01] Speaker 2: know what to make of mister Fantasy.
[12:02] Speaker 4: Yeah, like I'm on the fence about it.
[12:04] Speaker 2: I love the whole thing. I had no idea who
[12:06] Speaker 2: he was when we got there, and I didn't know
[12:08] Speaker 2: who he was until after he started to like do
[12:10] Speaker 2: his whole thing with Ryan, and I was like, right there, just.
[12:14] Speaker 5: A quick note, you are filming, you are recording yourself, right, yeah, okay, great, thanks?
[12:20] Speaker 3: Great posture. We how's your posture?
[12:23] Speaker 4: Bad?
[12:23] Speaker 3: Yeah, we got to work on our posture.
[12:26] Speaker 2: Okay, although this looks so weird, Okay, No, I love
[12:30] Speaker 2: the whole thing. First of all, I love the whole
[12:34] Speaker 2: like alter ego, concept and idea. But then this character
[12:40] Speaker 2: he created is so just incredible, from his fashion to
[12:45] Speaker 2: his like positive energy. He's so positive and funny that
[12:49] Speaker 2: he could like do things that nobody else would get
[12:52] Speaker 2: away with doing because he's just so like committed to
[12:55] Speaker 2: it and hilarious. So I thought it was great. I
[12:59] Speaker 2: love the whole thing. The energy it takes to do
[13:03] Speaker 2: that was mind blowing to you because he was NonStop
[13:07] Speaker 2: all night on and then we found out he was
[13:11] Speaker 2: at the King's game like the next night, and then
[13:13] Speaker 2: at this and that, and he's like, it's it's it's unbelievable.
[13:17] Speaker 4: Yeah, you tried to call him out, Yes, so he people.
[13:23] Speaker 6: If people don't know who mister Fantasy is, you should
[13:25] Speaker 6: give him a Google. But the word is that it's
[13:27] Speaker 6: the actor kJ Appa from Riverdale who's doing a new
[13:30] Speaker 6: character trying to launch a music career.
[13:32] Speaker 3: Is he's not.
[13:35] Speaker 6: Mister Fantasy who has the identical tattoos the kJ Appa.
[13:38] Speaker 6: But anyway, it's just kind of an interesting social media
[13:40] Speaker 6: phenomenon right now.
[13:41] Speaker 3: Yes, and now we're chalking out on TikTok because he's unreal.
[13:45] Speaker 5: I was like, hey, mister Fantasy, I just want can
[13:49] Speaker 5: you tell your friend that.
[13:50] Speaker 4: He was good in the Jonas Brothers movie? And he
[13:53] Speaker 4: was like, what friend?
[13:55] Speaker 7: What friend Joe.
[13:56] Speaker 4: Jonas and I was like, no, kJ Appa, he did
[14:00] Speaker 4: not he.
[14:01] Speaker 5: Did Yeah, he did not break it fully in it. Yeah,
[14:05] Speaker 5: So that was definitely a highlight of of jingle Ball
[14:07] Speaker 5: for sure because.
[14:08] Speaker 2: Nie of us knew who he was, so like, it
[14:10] Speaker 2: was just so shocking because we're in uh, we're in
[14:12] Speaker 2: the like gifting sweet suite and there's probably like fifty
[14:16] Speaker 2: sixty people in there, but it's very like calm and
[14:19] Speaker 2: subdued and low key. It's not like everyone is just
[14:22] Speaker 2: like minding their business, you know, like doing their thing.
[14:24] Speaker 2: And then Ryan comes in. And when Ryan comes in,
[14:28] Speaker 2: it's like, you know, he does a he has a
[14:29] Speaker 2: he has a routine that he's got, you know that
[14:31] Speaker 2: he does and says hi to everybody. And in the
[14:33] Speaker 2: middle of like this out of nowhere, mister Fantasy just
[14:36] Speaker 2: blows the whole thing up, starts screaming from the background.
[14:40] Speaker 3: Royan Seacrest, Royan Secret.
[14:42] Speaker 2: And then like because it's just it's it was really cool. Yeah, yeah,
[14:45] Speaker 2: it was cool. Yeah, And it was a great introduction
[14:47] Speaker 2: to the guy.
[14:48] Speaker 6: And how is it a jingle ball watching Tanya in
[14:50] Speaker 6: her element, like that is her wa and she's and
[14:53] Speaker 6: she's working and she is.
[14:54] Speaker 3: That is that A I love it. I've always loved it.
[14:56] Speaker 2: I think it's like, uh, I think it's really important
[15:00] Speaker 2: to admire your partner separate from like how much you
[15:04] Speaker 2: love her or him or care about him. I think
[15:07] Speaker 2: you have to admire them as like an individual. And
[15:10] Speaker 2: watching Tanya in her element, like I admire her talent.
[15:14] Speaker 3: Her grace, her.
[15:18] Speaker 2: Energy, you know, and just yeah, I just admire your
[15:24] Speaker 2: you and what you do and how you do it,
[15:26] Speaker 2: not having been like a trained broadcast or anything, and
[15:29] Speaker 2: just like having just on the sheer like strength of
[15:33] Speaker 2: your energy frankly creating this world and career for yourself
[15:42] Speaker 2: and then seeing it kind of wherever it is jingle
[15:45] Speaker 2: ball or wherever.
[15:46] Speaker 3: I love that.
[15:48] Speaker 6: And you've never got to see him in his element, right,
[15:50] Speaker 6: You've never been in court to watch him.
[15:52] Speaker 3: I don't go to court, you don't.
[15:54] Speaker 2: She sees elements a lot because what I do is
[15:57] Speaker 2: like conference calls or I sit in my opposite draft
[16:00] Speaker 2: documents or negotiate deals, and oftentimes she is like within
[16:05] Speaker 2: earshot of calls.
[16:06] Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, So I do see.
[16:08] Speaker 5: Him as he's a big like pacer when he's on
[16:13] Speaker 5: pacing around the house, pacing around the room. Yeah, talks
[16:18] Speaker 5: with his hands a lot.
[16:20] Speaker 3: Exciting. It's definitely not exact.
[16:21] Speaker 5: Definitely actually like feel bad sometimes, Like when I hear
[16:24] Speaker 5: him on calls, like, I'm just like.
[16:27] Speaker 4: It just sounds so painful.
[16:29] Speaker 2: Yeah, it's really it's that, I mean, and that's why
[16:31] Speaker 2: the like so like at the end of every day
[16:33] Speaker 2: we come home and we're like, you know, how was
[16:35] Speaker 2: your day? Like this is the most important part of
[16:36] Speaker 2: our days to tell each other how each other our
[16:38] Speaker 2: days was. If I don't properly tell her how our
[16:40] Speaker 2: day was, like, that's bad. My days are so boring,
[16:44] Speaker 2: Like her days are so exciting. She's interviewing this person,
[16:48] Speaker 2: that person. You know, She's there's all kinds of exciting stuff.
[16:51] Speaker 2: For me, is I'm sitting in office negotiating a dealer,
[16:54] Speaker 2: drafting a long document all day.
[16:57] Speaker 3: But maybe I get like a nice lunch.
[17:02] Speaker 5: I always ask him at the end of the day
[17:03] Speaker 5: and he's like, yeah, my day was fine. I'm like
[17:05] Speaker 5: I need more than that, Like what did you have
[17:06] Speaker 5: for lunch?
[17:07] Speaker 4: Who did you talk to? What deals did you close?
[17:10] Speaker 2: Like I can't tell you most of what I do.
[17:12] Speaker 2: I mean, I can tell you things I on a
[17:13] Speaker 2: non non descript basis. But yeah, I mean, yeah, I'm
[17:17] Speaker 2: saying their eyes glaze over.
[17:19] Speaker 3: Yeah, I just say comparatively, it's so boring.
[17:22] Speaker 5: That's my favorite part of the day, is like when
[17:24] Speaker 5: we get home at the end of the night and
[17:26] Speaker 5: like share about our days.
[17:27] Speaker 4: It's my favorite.
[17:29] Speaker 3: Even though I don't give you much to I get
[17:31] Speaker 3: it out of you.
[17:33] Speaker 4: I keep going until I get what I want.
[17:35] Speaker 2: I do usually remember things days later. That crazy thing
[17:40] Speaker 2: that happened that day. Yeah, that is a weird thing.
[17:42] Speaker 3: I don't know why I don't remember.
[17:43] Speaker 6: Yeah, let's take a break, and then I have a
[17:45] Speaker 6: question for Robbie dealing with the things that she makes
[17:49] Speaker 6: you do and that you go along with but probably
[17:51] Speaker 6: don't actually want to go along with. And that's my
[17:54] Speaker 6: d's for you. And we'll do that when we get back.
[18:12] Speaker 4: And we're back.
[18:14] Speaker 7: Scrub a dub duba.
[18:17] Speaker 6: That was my fault. That was my fault.
[18:19] Speaker 3: Scrub a dub dub. All right, Robbie.
[18:24] Speaker 6: Tanya sent us over and we talked about this with Ryan.
[18:27] Speaker 6: The December marriage challenge. Oh, yes, you didn't really want
[18:32] Speaker 6: to do this, right, Like this was when she presents
[18:33] Speaker 6: this to you. What goes through your head. She's like,
[18:35] Speaker 6: here's what we're going to do. It's a different thing
[18:36] Speaker 6: every day for all thirty one days of December. It's
[18:39] Speaker 6: a different marriage homework assignment. What goes through your head?
[18:43] Speaker 3: I don't remember what it is? Yeah, I'm sware.
[18:48] Speaker 2: This came up a few days ago someone hosted on
[18:51] Speaker 2: her Instagram or somewhere on social media in her universe.
[18:54] Speaker 3: Maybe it was a iHeart Facebook group like.
[18:57] Speaker 2: We need Robbie and Tanya to do the marriage challenge.
[19:01] Speaker 2: And I'd screenshot her and send it to her and said,
[19:04] Speaker 2: what is the marriage challenge?
[19:05] Speaker 3: And she apparently sent this to me the day before.
[19:06] Speaker 3: I don't remember it. I don't know what it is.
[19:08] Speaker 3: What is it? Should we do it right now?
[19:09] Speaker 5: So it was like a thing I saw on Instagram.
[19:11] Speaker 5: I said to you and I said we should do this,
[19:13] Speaker 5: and you said yeah, for sure.
[19:14] Speaker 4: And then the problem is I never followed through.
[19:17] Speaker 6: Well I have what is it? Every single day? Like December? First,
[19:21] Speaker 6: say one thing you admire about your spouse?
[19:23] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, okay, I do remember that. Yeah yeah, okay.
[19:27] Speaker 4: Last it didn't last, but you were into it.
[19:30] Speaker 2: I mean, listen, would I choose to do those things myself? No,
[19:34] Speaker 2: but I'm very happy to do it if it is
[19:37] Speaker 2: meaningful to you, Like.
[19:38] Speaker 6: Yeah, but it's not meaningful to him.
[19:40] Speaker 2: Correct, No, but it's but it do you have that
[19:43] Speaker 2: it's me But okay, hold on hold, it's not like again,
[19:46] Speaker 2: I would never choose to do that. It's not something wet,
[19:50] Speaker 2: never a milliona years. But but that doesn't mean that
[19:55] Speaker 2: it's not meaning so like, there's so many things that
[19:59] Speaker 2: you I mean, there's small sacrifices, and there's big sacrifices
[20:02] Speaker 2: sacrifice for love. But it's but it's meaningful to make
[20:08] Speaker 2: to do something for your partner even if you don't
[20:11] Speaker 2: necessarily want to do it, or even more meaningful if you.
[20:13] Speaker 3: Don't want to do it. I think, such as walking
[20:16] Speaker 3: uphill instead of walking. No.
[20:18] Speaker 5: No, like family meetings, like I actually think like you
[20:21] Speaker 5: would never do those yourself, but I do think you
[20:23] Speaker 5: actually enjoy them.
[20:24] Speaker 2: No, I would do family meetings. I think family meetings
[20:26] Speaker 2: are really really important and great. I love like when
[20:29] Speaker 2: we like plan and like coordinate things. I love that
[20:32] Speaker 2: part of it. But we got into like a couples therapy.
[20:34] Speaker 3: Part of it. Far we're gonna do it. I like
[20:39] Speaker 3: the planning coordinating. No, we need it. You got to
[20:41] Speaker 3: talk to the microphones planning and the coordinating. We need it.
[20:43] Speaker 4: Yeah, thank you.
[20:45] Speaker 3: Yeah, no, he likes it. Oh I I called them
[20:49] Speaker 3: sometimes he does.
[20:51] Speaker 7: Well, it's rare, I do.
[20:53] Speaker 4: Okay. So there's a couple of things like we never
[20:56] Speaker 4: had you want after the wedding. But I don't know,
[20:58] Speaker 4: it just feels like the wedding was so far away
[21:00] Speaker 4: from now.
[21:01] Speaker 6: Can you believe that has been.
[21:04] Speaker 1: Long?
[21:05] Speaker 4: Nine months? It's so crazy.
[21:10] Speaker 5: I feel like there were some questions that I asked
[21:12] Speaker 5: on my Instagram for people, like ask people if they
[21:15] Speaker 5: wanted to ask you questions? Yeah, and do you mind
[21:18] Speaker 5: if I ask you a couple of those?
[21:19] Speaker 4: Right now?
[21:20] Speaker 3: You can ask me whatever you want, Okay.
[21:22] Speaker 5: Was it hard having a Christmas tree? I'm Jewish marrying
[21:25] Speaker 5: a non Jew, and it feels wrong.
[21:27] Speaker 3: No, Christmas trees are amazing.
[21:28] Speaker 2: First of all, I'm very reformed Jew, so I'm not
[21:32] Speaker 2: like super ultra religious. I'm a high holiday Jew basically,
[21:36] Speaker 2: and you know, you, Christmas is like in a in
[21:40] Speaker 2: large part like almost like non nomin I don't know
[21:44] Speaker 2: what the word is, but like yeah, it's yeah, exactly,
[21:47] Speaker 2: it's you know, it's there's something just like that is
[21:51] Speaker 2: generally applicable to the holidays.
[21:53] Speaker 3: You grow up every.
[21:54] Speaker 2: Year going skiing, you know, in the winter, and you
[21:58] Speaker 2: know that's full of like Christmas trees and that Christmas
[22:02] Speaker 2: energy and that Christmas vibe. All the movies you watch
[22:05] Speaker 2: like as a kid growing up or like around Christmas.
[22:07] Speaker 2: So like the feel good part of Christmas is great,
[22:10] Speaker 2: and I just think it's an awesome holiday. So was
[22:13] Speaker 2: it weird for a Christmas tree?
[22:14] Speaker 3: No, I liked it.
[22:15] Speaker 2: And the first time we did a Christmas tree was
[22:18] Speaker 2: was like actually just like again a really like special, meaningful,
[22:21] Speaker 2: like bonding moment for us.
[22:22] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[22:22] Speaker 5: The first Christmas tree ever decorated was it was right
[22:26] Speaker 5: before COVID, so it's December between.
[22:28] Speaker 3: Somber, Yeah, December.
[22:30] Speaker 5: It was the first Christmas tree he'd ever decorated in
[22:32] Speaker 5: his life, which I thought was so like special, and
[22:35] Speaker 5: he did it.
[22:35] Speaker 3: With me, and I went and I bought.
[22:37] Speaker 2: I went to like Creighton Beryl I'll never forget, and
[22:40] Speaker 2: I bought all these ornaments to bring right but like
[22:43] Speaker 2: some of them were like whatever, some of them were
[22:45] Speaker 2: like meaningful, and then we bought like.
[22:47] Speaker 5: Matching ones because he was like, they told me you
[22:49] Speaker 5: have to get two or three of the same ones.
[22:51] Speaker 3: I was like, yeah, they got me, they got me.
[22:55] Speaker 4: It was really cute though.
[22:56] Speaker 3: That was great.
[22:56] Speaker 2: No, I love it and and you know, we blend it.
[23:00] Speaker 2: We like do like a Christmas tree, but it's like,
[23:04] Speaker 2: you know, maybe not red and green, it's like white
[23:06] Speaker 2: and blue and then we have like you.
[23:08] Speaker 3: Known, that's all. Yeah, it's great.
[23:12] Speaker 6: In my neighborhood that decorates their whole house white, blue,
[23:16] Speaker 6: Manora's Star of David. Fantastic. Yeah, I want everyone to
[23:20] Speaker 6: decorate their house this month for whatever whatever theme you
[23:23] Speaker 6: want to do.
[23:23] Speaker 7: Yeah, it's great.
[23:25] Speaker 5: What's the best thing, Tanya that's me has done for
[23:27] Speaker 5: your boys?
[23:28] Speaker 4: I'm a bonus mama too.
[23:30] Speaker 2: Oh my god, you you know you've done. I'm gonna this.
[23:34] Speaker 2: I'm gonna try to get emotional, but that's going to
[23:38] Speaker 2: be impossible. But you've done so much for them. I mean,
[23:41] Speaker 2: you know, there's the kind of express things that you do.
[23:48] Speaker 2: So like the fact that you write a note every
[23:51] Speaker 2: morning for Sebby that is like topical and has to
[23:54] Speaker 2: do with whatever's going up. That's topical and has to
[23:57] Speaker 2: do with whatever's going on in our lives. Is unbelievable
[24:02] Speaker 2: and you would do it for Oliver if you wanted it,
[24:03] Speaker 2: but Oliver is too cool for that now. But and
[24:08] Speaker 2: this is the the emotional part, more than like the
[24:12] Speaker 2: things you do on a day to day basis, it's
[24:16] Speaker 2: the energy that you've created and the security and and
[24:25] Speaker 2: feeling of home and family that you've brought to our house,
[24:34] Speaker 2: including you know, spearheading the sunny getting sunny. So I
[24:43] Speaker 2: think I think you do a lot of very constantly thoughtful,
[24:49] Speaker 2: intentional things that are you know that you that is
[24:52] Speaker 2: just kind of like who you are. But what that
[24:55] Speaker 2: has meant from an from again, from an energy perspective
[24:59] Speaker 2: in our our house and and our family, I think
[25:03] Speaker 2: is the most important.
[25:06] Speaker 3: Is there like tissue?
[25:08] Speaker 7: Yeah?
[25:09] Speaker 6: Otherwise I was like, sure.
[25:12] Speaker 4: Not gonna feel so nice.
[25:14] Speaker 3: But it's not bad.
[25:15] Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, that made me emotional. Okay, I'm just
[25:19] Speaker 5: a little more lighthearted. Where do you shop? Always looking
[25:23] Speaker 5: so put together?
[25:26] Speaker 3: I don't shop. I don't know what I did.
[25:27] Speaker 2: First of all, I'm in a style crisis right now.
[25:29] Speaker 2: Can we talk about that more than where I shop? Yeah,
[25:33] Speaker 2: I'm forty six years old and like, up until two
[25:38] Speaker 2: years ago or a year ago, I was wearing like
[25:40] Speaker 2: super super tight pants and had a certain thing, and
[25:44] Speaker 2: now like that's not cool anymore.
[25:46] Speaker 3: I don't know.
[25:46] Speaker 2: Maybe that was not cool for a couple of years
[25:48] Speaker 2: when I was still doing it, but so now we
[25:49] Speaker 2: got to wear like baggy pants or like looser pants, and.
[25:53] Speaker 3: I don't know, like how to make all that work.
[25:54] Speaker 3: So I don't know.
[25:55] Speaker 2: I feel like I'm in a soul christ. I feel
[25:56] Speaker 2: like an eight year old when I wear baggy pants.
[25:58] Speaker 2: But uh no, I don't know my shop. I fall
[26:01] Speaker 2: for all the like instagram like stores and just like
[26:05] Speaker 2: whenever I have time, I like, but I hate like
[26:07] Speaker 2: actually shopping.
[26:08] Speaker 3: But that's very nice that you think I have.
[26:09] Speaker 6: Good Are you're transitioning to a different phase in your life?
[26:12] Speaker 3: Oh?
[26:12] Speaker 4: Yes, for sure?
[26:13] Speaker 6: Yeah yeah have you noticed it? Do you feel like
[26:15] Speaker 6: he dresses too young?
[26:17] Speaker 4: No, I don't think you're.
[26:18] Speaker 5: Just too young, But like, I mean, his pants used
[26:20] Speaker 5: to be tighter than mine and now he wears like
[26:21] Speaker 5: baggy pants.
[26:22] Speaker 3: It was crazy in hindsight, how tight my pants are.
[26:25] Speaker 7: It's crazy.
[26:27] Speaker 4: So I like the evolution good good, Yeah.
[26:30] Speaker 2: But I gotta be able to pull it off in
[26:31] Speaker 2: an elevated fashion. So if anyone has any tips out there,
[26:34] Speaker 2: so how to do that?
[26:35] Speaker 5: Yeah, well you refuse to put headphones on, and you
[26:38] Speaker 5: keep not speaking in a microphone.
[26:41] Speaker 3: When they miss it's just like it's like talking.
[26:43] Speaker 4: Like this, and it's like this and this and.
[26:45] Speaker 7: This and this.
[26:46] Speaker 3: I need a clip on, a clip on.
[26:50] Speaker 6: He didn't want to wear headphones because they didn't want
[26:52] Speaker 6: to look silly on the camera. The deal. Yeah, the
[26:54] Speaker 6: hair looks nice, but you're in a radio studio that
[26:57] Speaker 6: people wear headphones here.
[26:59] Speaker 2: I know, but I think we got to I think
[27:01] Speaker 2: that that we need to not look like we're in
[27:03] Speaker 2: a radio studio.
[27:04] Speaker 3: That's what I think.
[27:04] Speaker 5: Yeah, Robbie has some pointers for the Scrubbing In podcast,
[27:07] Speaker 5: which we can't also get into.
[27:10] Speaker 4: How was Robbie's first time meeting Ryan?
[27:14] Speaker 2: Do you remember your first This is the funniest thing
[27:15] Speaker 2: is I don't remember the which is so weird that
[27:19] Speaker 2: I don't remember the first time meeting Ryan. I feel
[27:20] Speaker 2: like I would remember that, but I've I've had the
[27:25] Speaker 2: opportunity to like spend an okay amount of time and
[27:27] Speaker 2: they're gonna hang out with him a few times. Uh,
[27:31] Speaker 2: and I you know, it's just he's he's the man.
[27:34] Speaker 2: I mean, Ryan's the best. We get along really well.
[27:36] Speaker 2: We're around the same age, we know a lot of
[27:40] Speaker 2: the same people.
[27:43] Speaker 4: I feel like he likes you better than me.
[27:45] Speaker 3: I think that.
[27:46] Speaker 2: I think that you're you're an employee, You're an employee,
[27:50] Speaker 2: co worker.
[27:52] Speaker 3: You're a co worker.
[27:53] Speaker 2: But I'm saying, like, it's a it's a it's a
[27:54] Speaker 2: working relationship. You guys are friends too, no doubt about it.
[27:58] Speaker 2: But like that, I mean, that's it's different. Yeah, but yeah, no,
[28:02] Speaker 2: we get along. I think, you know, Ryan's a really
[28:05] Speaker 2: good dude. He's always been, I mean, another guy that
[28:08] Speaker 2: I like, admire so much and love like any chance
[28:11] Speaker 2: I get to like talk to him or learn from him,
[28:13] Speaker 2: which I've had a few opportunities, thankfully.
[28:17] Speaker 3: I love that. Yeah, No, we got a lot. Ryan's
[28:19] Speaker 3: the best.
[28:19] Speaker 6: Do you remember the night we met?
[28:22] Speaker 3: Yeah, I do remember the night we.
[28:23] Speaker 2: Met outside outside of Ryan's house, That's right.
[28:26] Speaker 3: I do remember that I was picking up Tanya.
[28:29] Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[28:31] Speaker 3: That's that's crazy. I remember that.
[28:33] Speaker 6: I remember that very well, and I remember ever about
[28:35] Speaker 6: thirty seconds being like, oh this guy's this is a
[28:37] Speaker 6: good guy.
[28:38] Speaker 3: I remember you were like very protective of Tanya.
[28:40] Speaker 6: Very Yeah, it's a long time. It's a long time. Yeah,
[28:44] Speaker 6: and a lot of duds, yeah, well a lot and so,
[28:47] Speaker 6: but when I met you, it was I got non
[28:49] Speaker 6: dud energy almost instantly.
[28:53] Speaker 4: Thank you, almost instantly.
[28:56] Speaker 6: Oh sure, what do you mean?
[28:58] Speaker 3: There was a period of time where he thought I
[28:59] Speaker 3: was a.
[29:02] Speaker 7: What early days?
[29:04] Speaker 6: No, I didn't. No.
[29:06] Speaker 5: This is this one that kind of kept coming up
[29:08] Speaker 5: a lot too. What's the best advice for a woman
[29:10] Speaker 5: getting into a marriage with a man with kids? That's
[29:15] Speaker 5: a tough And then on the heels of that, when
[29:20] Speaker 5: did he show that he had kids while navigating dating?
[29:22] Speaker 4: I'm a single mom.
[29:23] Speaker 6: Why don't we take a break and you can think
[29:25] Speaker 6: about this. Yeah, we'll come back with the answer. That's
[29:27] Speaker 6: you know, people will want to hear that, So they're
[29:29] Speaker 6: gonna hear all these wonderful goods and services, and then
[29:32] Speaker 6: they kind of back and here Robbie's answer. Here we go,
[29:51] Speaker 6: and we're back.
[29:52] Speaker 5: Okay, So we left you hanging on a big cliffhanger.
[29:56] Speaker 5: There were a couple questions about what's the best advice
[29:59] Speaker 5: for a woman getting in to a marriage with a
[30:01] Speaker 5: man with kids, and then kind of dovetailing into when
[30:05] Speaker 5: did he share that he had kids while navigating dating.
[30:07] Speaker 4: I'm a single mom.
[30:09] Speaker 2: So yeah, let's start with the second one. I deny.
[30:15] Speaker 2: I mean I it was on my hinch profile.
[30:17] Speaker 5: Yeah, you you had photos with the kids on your
[30:20] Speaker 5: dating app.
[30:21] Speaker 2: Yeah, I think, and I put, I think I'm a dad.
[30:23] Speaker 2: Whatever I was not for me, it was important for
[30:26] Speaker 2: people to know right away. I mean, it wasn't. There
[30:28] Speaker 2: was no like delay in telling someone I had kids.
[30:36] Speaker 2: So yeah, so that's the answer to the second one.
[30:37] Speaker 2: I think on the first one, like, what's the best advice?
[30:43] Speaker 2: Oh man, you know, that's something that I think that
[30:48] Speaker 2: is probably deserves like a much more thoughtful, long, long answer,
[30:55] Speaker 2: and probably books can be written about it. But I
[30:57] Speaker 2: think the I think the best advice for a mom,
[31:02] Speaker 2: for a woman coming into a relationship with a guy
[31:06] Speaker 2: with kids, is to be to be patient, to be patient,
[31:13] Speaker 2: and to trust the guidance advice of the guy. You know,
[31:28] Speaker 2: everybody's kids are different, boys and girls are different depending
[31:33] Speaker 2: what age they are, you know, matters. Each individual child
[31:37] Speaker 2: is so different and hopefully you know the parent, I mean,
[31:42] Speaker 2: definitely the parent is best suited to know kind of
[31:49] Speaker 2: you know, what they're how their kid is dealing with
[31:52] Speaker 2: with everything, you know, how close you are to the
[31:54] Speaker 2: to the divorce, or maybe it's not a divorce, but
[31:59] Speaker 2: all that kind of factors in. And but I think
[32:06] Speaker 2: despite all of that, I think that it is a
[32:10] Speaker 2: transition and something that the kids need space and time
[32:18] Speaker 2: to kind of naturally accept in a positive way for themselves.
[32:30] Speaker 2: And so yeah, so patience I think is probably the
[32:33] Speaker 2: best advice as maybe non helpful is that is?
[32:40] Speaker 3: I mean, what do you think the best advice is?
[32:41] Speaker 3: Han't been on the other side.
[32:42] Speaker 5: Of it, Yeah, I would say, like I feel like
[32:47] Speaker 5: I trusted you a lot in that process, Like I
[32:50] Speaker 5: trusted your your approach, your way of of like meeting them,
[32:55] Speaker 5: when to meet them, how to meet them. You know,
[32:58] Speaker 5: I wanted to bring them gifts when I first met them,
[33:00] Speaker 5: and you were like, no, I don't want it to
[33:01] Speaker 5: feel like you're like trying to buy them.
[33:03] Speaker 4: So we thought of like thoughtful.
[33:05] Speaker 5: Things that I could bring them that weren't necessarily gifts,
[33:07] Speaker 5: but like thoughtful trinkets, if you will, which I thought
[33:12] Speaker 5: was better and like a good approach. So I kind
[33:16] Speaker 5: of I would just kind of lean on you. I mean,
[33:19] Speaker 5: I think it's interesting because our situation was different because
[33:24] Speaker 5: it was.
[33:24] Speaker 4: In the middle of a pandemic. I don't think.
[33:25] Speaker 5: I mean, we made it like nine months until I
[33:27] Speaker 5: met the kids, and I feel like it wouldn't have
[33:29] Speaker 5: been nine months if there wasn't like a pandemic in
[33:31] Speaker 5: the middle.
[33:31] Speaker 2: I think also the nine months was was like probably
[33:36] Speaker 2: you know that that was something.
[33:38] Speaker 3: So you know, at the time of my separation, my
[33:44] Speaker 3: divorce kind of.
[33:48] Speaker 2: There was a rule that we both that me and
[33:53] Speaker 2: Max talked about that we wanted to follow, which was basically,
[33:57] Speaker 2: we don't want to introduce our kids to like a
[34:01] Speaker 2: revolving door of like others, right of like of like
[34:04] Speaker 2: girls or guys or whatever. And so we you know,
[34:10] Speaker 2: the idea was like un less and until you're like
[34:13] Speaker 2: really ready to like really be committed to someone, like
[34:17] Speaker 2: practically engagement, we shouldn't introduce the kids to anybody.
[34:23] Speaker 3: That was probably yeah.
[34:24] Speaker 5: But to be fair, I was your girlfriend and I'd
[34:27] Speaker 5: been your girlfriend for like eight months at the time.
[34:30] Speaker 3: No.
[34:30] Speaker 2: No, I think my point is to say that that
[34:32] Speaker 2: was probably wrong because I don't think you could even
[34:34] Speaker 2: get to the point of like commitment or like engagement level,
[34:37] Speaker 2: like I know I want to This is like the
[34:39] Speaker 2: you know, the woman I'm going to be with without
[34:41] Speaker 2: having integrated your kids already and seeing how that whole
[34:44] Speaker 2: scenario works. So it was it was the reason it
[34:47] Speaker 2: took so long was yes, pandemic related, but also just
[34:54] Speaker 2: that was kind of like a mistake and you know,
[34:56] Speaker 2: we didn't know what we were doing. I didn't know
[34:57] Speaker 2: what I was doing. We're kind of learning it as
[34:58] Speaker 2: we go, all intentions, and I think that, you know,
[35:03] Speaker 2: despite maybe that being wrong or maybe not the best approach,
[35:07] Speaker 2: I think that it's still like worked to our benefit.
[35:10] Speaker 3: I think that.
[35:13] Speaker 2: The slow introduction and then even from there like very
[35:17] Speaker 2: kind of like intentional integration and like.
[35:21] Speaker 4: Yeah, all I'm saying is I think nine months was
[35:23] Speaker 4: too long.
[35:24] Speaker 7: No, no, I hear you, because.
[35:24] Speaker 5: I think there was damage on my end where I
[35:27] Speaker 5: felt like you had two lives and I was like
[35:29] Speaker 5: I'm done with that.
[35:29] Speaker 2: Well, that was like the biggest tension in our relationship
[35:32] Speaker 2: and like the reason we broke up and like all
[35:34] Speaker 2: this so like it was like, yeah, listen, that was
[35:38] Speaker 2: very hard. It's very hard to navigate these things. I
[35:40] Speaker 2: mean I could talk I think that this is something
[35:42] Speaker 2: that you could really like talk about for I mean
[35:44] Speaker 2: you could you know, or write about for you know,
[35:48] Speaker 2: at length.
[35:50] Speaker 5: Because I do understand when you say be patient, because
[35:52] Speaker 5: I wanted to meet them, like, you know, two months
[35:55] Speaker 5: in Okay, Yeah, sure, maybe that's too soon, but then
[35:58] Speaker 5: I feel like to wait nine months was also problematic.
[36:01] Speaker 2: Yeah, but patient, being patient good. I wasn't even I
[36:04] Speaker 2: didn't even mean it about that. I do think that
[36:05] Speaker 2: that's part of being patient. I met, like, even once
[36:08] Speaker 2: you meet them, be patient with them, go right, like,
[36:11] Speaker 2: be patient with them, give them the time and space
[36:14] Speaker 2: to like it's it's hard.
[36:19] Speaker 3: Again.
[36:19] Speaker 2: I can only talk about a divorce situation, but there's
[36:21] Speaker 2: probably numerous situations like this, either widowed or just someone
[36:24] Speaker 2: who has kids, you know, outside of marriage and like
[36:27] Speaker 2: as a single parent, father, whatever. There's probably other scenarios.
[36:32] Speaker 2: I don't know, but in our scenario, there is a
[36:39] Speaker 2: natural defense that they're gonna have against somebody coming another
[36:42] Speaker 2: woman coming into their lives in like a parental kind
[36:45] Speaker 2: of capacity, and so you have to be patient with
[36:48] Speaker 2: that and you have to, you know, let them work
[36:52] Speaker 2: through that.
[36:52] Speaker 3: And I think that we've done it as.
[36:54] Speaker 2: A very commendable job, as best a job we can.
[36:56] Speaker 2: You have been incredible throughout that process. Your relationship with
[37:00] Speaker 2: my boys is unreal, Like I think the powers it
[37:06] Speaker 2: be every day for that.
[37:10] Speaker 3: What you please show you know what I mean, that's
[37:15] Speaker 3: that's the most important thing to me in this world.
[37:17] Speaker 3: So let me know what.
[37:20] Speaker 5: The Okay, this is a nice, easy, breezy one. What's
[37:25] Speaker 5: the best part about being married to Tanya? And what
[37:28] Speaker 5: is the most surprising part.
[37:30] Speaker 3: I'm being married to?
[37:31] Speaker 2: So being married to Tanya, my life is like, uh,
[37:35] Speaker 2: every every day is like an episode of I Love Lucy.
[37:38] Speaker 3: I think Tanya is.
[37:40] Speaker 2: Really I mean, it's absolutely Tanya is the modern day
[37:44] Speaker 2: Lucy O ball.
[37:46] Speaker 3: Okay it is.
[37:51] Speaker 2: It's just exciting and funny and you know, meaningful. And
[37:58] Speaker 2: I know that I have a partner who has my
[38:00] Speaker 2: back always. But yeah, I know it's a every day
[38:03] Speaker 2: as an episode of I.
[38:04] Speaker 6: Love I've always said that because this week Tanya goes
[38:08] Speaker 6: to prenatal yoga. Yeah, Tanya tries to make home and
[38:12] Speaker 6: milk at home, like every and it's hilarious.
[38:17] Speaker 2: This week Tanya gets blacklisted from hot at yoga.
[38:20] Speaker 6: Oh yeah, every week a new plot.
[38:26] Speaker 3: Yeah, and that you know, And that's what life is about.
[38:28] Speaker 2: It's about keeping it exciting and interesting and I hit
[38:32] Speaker 2: the jackpot there.
[38:33] Speaker 5: The thing that's so crazy is like I'm literally obsessed
[38:36] Speaker 5: with you, Like I spend every minute with you and
[38:40] Speaker 5: I still can't get enough. Like I was so excited
[38:42] Speaker 5: that you were co hosting the podcast this week because like,
[38:45] Speaker 5: obviously I'm not with you when I'm at work, and
[38:47] Speaker 5: I was like, oh, yeah, that means he's like gonna
[38:48] Speaker 5: come with me to work. Like I love doing everything
[38:51] Speaker 5: with you, I love doing nothing with you. I love
[38:53] Speaker 5: watching TV with you like I've never I've never had
[38:58] Speaker 5: a partner that I'm just like so obsessed with, but
[39:02] Speaker 5: somebody that I admire so much, also somebody that I'm
[39:04] Speaker 5: so like sexually obsessed with, Like I just everything about you,
[39:08] Speaker 5: I'm just like obsessed with.
[39:09] Speaker 2: Well okay, but fine the same. But what are your
[39:12] Speaker 2: like pet peeves or what are like the things that
[39:15] Speaker 2: annoy you? I already know one, but let's see if
[39:16] Speaker 2: you say it.
[39:17] Speaker 5: It is the most obnoxious thing, and it's like the
[39:20] Speaker 5: biggest turn off. It is the biggest turnoff. I never
[39:25] Speaker 5: thought you could possibly turn me off until you started
[39:28] Speaker 5: eating sunflower seeds and it is so disgusting and he
[39:33] Speaker 5: can't put them down like, you can't have once you start,
[39:36] Speaker 5: you can't FaceTime over like trying to book a flight.
[39:39] Speaker 3: No, I have fifty in my mouth, like spitting them.
[39:41] Speaker 4: Into a cup, And I'm like, can you not just
[39:43] Speaker 4: do that? I'm on a phone call with you for
[39:45] Speaker 4: two minutes.
[39:45] Speaker 3: Can you already in there so spit them out before
[39:48] Speaker 3: you call me? Don't?
[39:50] Speaker 2: I don't know why that gives you the the other two.
[39:52] Speaker 2: I get the other two. I get the flip flopping
[39:55] Speaker 2: flip flops.
[39:56] Speaker 5: Yeah, oh my gosh. And he walks in flip flops.
[39:59] Speaker 5: It's like, you know those people that are not self
[40:01] Speaker 5: aware that they're making that plan.
[40:04] Speaker 4: It's so embarrassing.
[40:05] Speaker 3: It all comes back to being free.
[40:07] Speaker 4: Yeah, no, that don't be so free when you're wearing I.
[40:10] Speaker 3: Don't want to live in a world where I can't
[40:12] Speaker 3: just flop away.
[40:14] Speaker 6: No, you're out and that's walking down the street.
[40:18] Speaker 5: Just thankfully in our relationship, you don't really wear flip flops.
[40:23] Speaker 3: No, No, I don't shoes.
[40:25] Speaker 4: Yeah, so this is it.
[40:26] Speaker 6: That's great.
[40:26] Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, this is a rare, rare occurrence. But when
[40:29] Speaker 5: his flip flops are flippity flop.
[40:31] Speaker 3: Will always be only on vacation.
[40:32] Speaker 6: Yeah, it makes sense.
[40:34] Speaker 4: Yeah. What's the third one?
[40:35] Speaker 2: Uh? The first of all, they're called flip flops for
[40:39] Speaker 2: a reason that name like literally, that's what you're supposed
[40:44] Speaker 2: to do.
[40:45] Speaker 5: You're conscientious and lift them up off the floor, not
[40:48] Speaker 5: flippity flop.
[40:49] Speaker 3: Do you do you flop?
[40:51] Speaker 6: I'm not really, I'm with you on open toad shoes.
[40:54] Speaker 6: Oh yeah, and I think I typically were slides instead
[40:57] Speaker 6: of flip flops, so they don't do a lot of
[40:58] Speaker 6: flippity flopping. But yeah, you've worn to wear flop flops,
[41:01] Speaker 6: they're gonna flip and flop.
[41:02] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[41:03] Speaker 2: The amount of effort it takes to cold your toes
[41:07] Speaker 2: down to lift.
[41:08] Speaker 6: The flop it's unnatural.
[41:10] Speaker 3: The third thing the chewing gum, which also.
[41:12] Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, it is like a giraffe chewing grass.
[41:17] Speaker 3: You can't cage me. You gotta let me be free.
[41:20] Speaker 5: Like I literally have to remind him if he's chewing
[41:22] Speaker 5: gum and we're like about to go hang out with friends,
[41:24] Speaker 5: I'm like, you have to spit your gum out like.
[41:27] Speaker 3: Chewing gum because of you gave me a complex?
[41:30] Speaker 5: Will stop eat dumping your gum around like that with
[41:34] Speaker 5: clients around.
[41:35] Speaker 2: They I told her to like, watch like some videos
[41:38] Speaker 2: of baseball players eating baseball selflowers.
[41:40] Speaker 3: It's like, I think it's cool.
[41:42] Speaker 6: It's all gross. It's it's all gross.
[41:45] Speaker 3: What's gross?
[41:46] Speaker 6: Gross? And ball players do it and it's gross, and
[41:48] Speaker 6: I've never seen you do it, but I assume it's
[41:50] Speaker 6: similarly gross.
[41:51] Speaker 3: You know, it's very It's like, no, it's cool.
[41:54] Speaker 4: Any never having a family meeting. This was Sunday. We're
[41:56] Speaker 4: having a family meeting. He's spinning out these sunflower seats
[42:00] Speaker 4: and I'm like, we have one hour and we're gonna
[42:01] Speaker 4: sit here and get this on the.
[42:05] Speaker 6: I involved spitting things out of your so you don't
[42:07] Speaker 6: have to spit them.
[42:07] Speaker 3: You can take them one better.
[42:12] Speaker 4: If I take them with my hand.
[42:14] Speaker 6: You're distracting saliva covered things from your mouth. It's all bad.
[42:19] Speaker 2: Look so eating cherries is gross? Yes, yes, what is wrong?
[42:23] Speaker 3: I agree?
[42:23] Speaker 2: No. The best is that we had a canasta lesson,
[42:26] Speaker 2: which we definitely have to talk about and I'm just
[42:28] Speaker 2: eating this up.
[42:29] Speaker 3: Discussion was amazing. She's like, I have boys. I totally
[42:33] Speaker 3: get it.
[42:33] Speaker 4: Teenage boys were disgusting.
[42:35] Speaker 3: So this is disgusting teenage boys. I totally get.
[42:39] Speaker 4: It that I had chills down my back.
[42:42] Speaker 5: I was so second hand embarrassed because of you, with
[42:45] Speaker 5: his spinning out with our tutor, our Canasta tutor sitting
[42:48] Speaker 5: at the table, and he's no.
[42:51] Speaker 3: I'm.
[42:53] Speaker 4: On this, thank you.
[42:55] Speaker 6: If I eat cherries, I'm alone. I'm not eating cherries
[42:57] Speaker 6: in front of other people.
[42:58] Speaker 3: I don't want eating anything in front of other people.
[43:00] Speaker 2: Is discussing eating anything in front of people, discussing, you're
[43:03] Speaker 2: necessarily oh my god.
[43:04] Speaker 3: Eating You're just like shovel Everything is disgusting.
[43:08] Speaker 6: If you really think about your mouth is not as
[43:10] Speaker 6: girls as taking things out of your mouth.
[43:11] Speaker 7: That's what I agree.
[43:12] Speaker 3: I agree, it's all disgusting.
[43:15] Speaker 6: It goes in your mouth, you should never see it again.
[43:17] Speaker 2: Yes, okay, cherries, sunflower seeds?
[43:22] Speaker 6: What else?
[43:24] Speaker 3: Seeds? We can have seedless but water seeds. What else
[43:29] Speaker 3: is there?
[43:29] Speaker 5: No, but the problem with the sunflower seeds is that
[43:31] Speaker 5: it's ours like he'll just sit in bed watching TV and.
[43:34] Speaker 3: Just spendflower seeds. No, no, no, no, no, yes, yes
[43:41] Speaker 3: no I did do that. I did do that.
[43:44] Speaker 2: But that's because she wanted me to watch the football
[43:47] Speaker 2: game upstairs instead of watching it downstairs.
[43:50] Speaker 3: So we have to compromise. You can't. You can't watch sacrifice.
[43:54] Speaker 3: We sacrifice for life. I had to eat some flower
[43:59] Speaker 3: seeds in bed.
[44:02] Speaker 5: What do you want sacrifice? Believe does not know we're
[44:09] Speaker 5: gonna wrap this episode up, but I feel very vindicated.
[44:13] Speaker 3: I can't wait for myself to arrive on Wednesday.
[44:16] Speaker 4: Have more coming, and that's the problem. They keep coming
[44:19] Speaker 4: in there, these big, big big I wanted to throw
[44:22] Speaker 4: them away, but then I'm like, I can't.
[44:26] Speaker 5: Anyways, Robbie will be back for Dear Bonya on Thursday,
[44:31] Speaker 5: and thank you all for joining us, Babe, thank you
[44:34] Speaker 5: for co hosting today.
[44:36] Speaker 3: Yeah, but I still owe Easton, so we'll try to
[44:38] Speaker 3: get him.
[44:39] Speaker 6: He's in the building.
[44:39] Speaker 4: Yeah, we'll get it.
[44:40] Speaker 7: We'll talk Thursday, all right, Love
[44:42] Speaker 4: You all, Bye, b
