[0:00] Speaker 1: Scrubbing In with Becca Tilly and Tanya rad and iHeartRadio
[0:04] Speaker 1: and two times People's Choice Award winning podcast.
[0:11] Speaker 2: Hello everybody scrubbing in that we are.
[0:16] Speaker 1: How I do it? Yeah, I'm filling.
[0:19] Speaker 2: In, Yes, you're filling in. Becca is not with us
[0:24] Speaker 2: this week. She is out sick. So we said charge
[0:28] Speaker 2: it to the game.
[0:29] Speaker 1: That's what we said. Where.
[0:31] Speaker 2: Yeah, what is Becca?
[0:33] Speaker 1: What is her illness?
[0:34] Speaker 2: Her illness is congestion. I think she has like a
[0:38] Speaker 2: scratchy throat, kind of like what's going around. I did
[0:44] Speaker 2: not give it to her.
[0:45] Speaker 1: If that's what you're I did not accuse you of that. No,
[0:49] Speaker 1: consider that. No, there's a lot going around.
[0:51] Speaker 2: There's a lot going that.
[0:52] Speaker 1: Time of year.
[0:52] Speaker 2: Yeah, I assume anywhere I go that somebody's sick everywhere
[0:56] Speaker 2: I go. That's kind of the mentality that I kind
[0:59] Speaker 2: of a way to live.
[0:59] Speaker 1: But I'll so it's kind of a smart way to live.
[1:01] Speaker 2: Yeah, just wash my hands and do my thing. So anyways,
[1:07] Speaker 2: I'm so sorry. That is why we did not do
[1:08] Speaker 2: a podcast yesterday. We were gonna wait for Becca to
[1:11] Speaker 2: get better, but in fact, she did not get better.
[1:13] Speaker 2: She's not getting worse. But here we are. It is
[1:16] Speaker 2: Tanya and mark I and it is Tuesday, February tenth.
[1:22] Speaker 1: Great.
[1:23] Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a great day.
[1:25] Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
[1:27] Speaker 2: I feel like everybody already talked about the super Bowl,
[1:29] Speaker 2: but I feel.
[1:30] Speaker 1: Like Tanya America waits anxiously for your take on the
[1:34] Speaker 1: super Bowl halftime show and everything else.
[1:37] Speaker 2: Yeah, especially the game, because the game itself, I think
[1:41] Speaker 2: I watched zero percent of.
[1:44] Speaker 1: You had friends over, yes, and oh you said it
[1:47] Speaker 1: was kind of a gender split as to what people
[1:50] Speaker 1: were doing at your party.
[1:51] Speaker 2: Yes, the men were by the TV on the couch
[1:53] Speaker 2: and the women were around the table.
[1:56] Speaker 1: Where the food was.
[1:57] Speaker 2: Where the food was.
[1:58] Speaker 1: What kind of food did you have there?
[2:00] Speaker 2: Thanks for asking. We grilled a steak and we made
[2:04] Speaker 2: my girlfriend made like a bunch of different dips. So
[2:06] Speaker 2: there was like a corn dip, There was like a
[2:08] Speaker 2: caramelized onion dip. There was some sort of like whipped
[2:10] Speaker 2: feta dips, a lot of like pita chips and tortilla
[2:13] Speaker 2: chips and dips and salad. Yeah.
[2:19] Speaker 1: I'm surprised you didn't have pigs in a blanket because
[2:21] Speaker 1: I know you love pigs in a blanket.
[2:22] Speaker 2: We bought pigs in a blanket and forgot to make
[2:25] Speaker 2: the sons have pigs in my blanket, my freezer that
[2:27] Speaker 2: were not used.
[2:29] Speaker 1: What are you going to do with those? Maybe an
[2:31] Speaker 1: Oscar party?
[2:32] Speaker 2: Ya Oscar party? Yeah, yeah, I can't have those go unused.
[2:36] Speaker 1: So what did you make an effort to watch when
[2:39] Speaker 1: you were You were at the.
[2:40] Speaker 2: Table time show. That's all I cared about.
[2:42] Speaker 1: That's not true, what your buddy, Charlie?
[2:46] Speaker 2: So sorry? Yes, I normally I'm not like sitting there
[2:52] Speaker 2: before the game starts. However, I did not want to
[2:55] Speaker 2: miss Charlie sing the national anthem, so that I made
[2:57] Speaker 2: sure to watch.
[2:59] Speaker 1: And did you watch Brandy Carlisle saying America the beautiful?
[3:02] Speaker 2: I did not, all right, did you?
[3:04] Speaker 1: Yeah? It was great?
[3:05] Speaker 2: Great? Yeah, happy about it. Charlie did amazing.
[3:10] Speaker 1: He did. And if you don't believe her, listen to
[3:12] Speaker 1: This's What's funny?
[3:35] Speaker 2: Play that whole thing. But you can't play more than
[3:37] Speaker 2: five secs.
[3:38] Speaker 1: I don't know if I can play anything. Honestly, I'm
[3:40] Speaker 1: just going for yeah, exactly that you could bet in
[3:44] Speaker 1: Vegas how long or a fan duel or who knows
[3:46] Speaker 1: one of these sites, how long the brave would be?
[3:49] Speaker 1: The last line and the over under the last word.
[3:51] Speaker 1: The over under was like four and a half seconds,
[3:53] Speaker 1: and he went like eight.
[3:55] Speaker 2: It was eight point one.
[3:56] Speaker 1: He doubled the over under. Yeah, yeah, but yeah, he
[3:58] Speaker 1: did great. He's gonna be on there Ryan Seacrest tomorrow
[4:00] Speaker 1: to talk about his performances.
[4:02] Speaker 2: So much for that.
[4:04] Speaker 1: Thank you for that, Los Angeles.
[4:06] Speaker 2: Huh. I'd appreciate a little scrubbing and plug on the
[4:09] Speaker 2: morning show.
[4:10] Speaker 1: On the Morning show more than I am.
[4:12] Speaker 2: Why you're at it.
[4:13] Speaker 1: But he did. He did fantastically and I like him. Charlie, Yeah, yeah,
[4:18] Speaker 1: of course he's a great guy.
[4:19] Speaker 2: The best. We love Charlie.
[4:21] Speaker 1: He's been here many times. That's the guy. Yeah.
[4:24] Speaker 2: I was happy because I feel like a lot of
[4:26] Speaker 2: artists don't. They say no to the National Anthem, not
[4:30] Speaker 2: for the Super Bowl, but like for other things, because
[4:32] Speaker 2: it's a really hard song to sing and all you
[4:35] Speaker 2: get everybody critiques, Like there was so much criticism when
[4:37] Speaker 2: they announced he was singing in the National anthem, so
[4:39] Speaker 2: he was getting all this heat and stuff, and a
[4:41] Speaker 2: lot of artists turn it down because of that. It's
[4:43] Speaker 2: like kind of a lose lose.
[4:45] Speaker 1: And yet he found a way to win in a
[4:46] Speaker 1: lose lose. Yeah, because everyone loved it.
[4:48] Speaker 2: Everybody loved it.
[4:49] Speaker 1: Yeah, that was great.
[4:50] Speaker 2: Good for him, So I'm really happy for him. So
[4:53] Speaker 2: she watched that.
[4:54] Speaker 1: That then the game begins. Off, you go off, I
[4:57] Speaker 1: go dipp.
[5:00] Speaker 2: Like the TV wasn't like in a different room. It's
[5:02] Speaker 2: still like there. Yeah, I'm just not watching it.
[5:04] Speaker 1: It was a snoozye game, no question.
[5:05] Speaker 2: I was hearing. Yeah, yeah, I kept hearing.
[5:09] Speaker 1: Do do super Bowl squares?
[5:10] Speaker 2: We do not do?
[5:11] Speaker 1: Yeah, well we would. We would do a party and
[5:13] Speaker 1: they were doing super Bowl squares. It was a quarter
[5:15] Speaker 1: of square, so you got five bucks per quarter for
[5:18] Speaker 1: the winner, and I won five bucks.
[5:20] Speaker 2: Wow.
[5:20] Speaker 1: I was very happy about that.
[5:21] Speaker 2: I know, I still don't understand that game. I've played
[5:23] Speaker 2: it a couple of times, but I don't really understand.
[5:25] Speaker 1: Well, we were in another one which we were funded
[5:28] Speaker 1: a friend's her daughter's soccer league or whatever, and so
[5:32] Speaker 1: we went fifty bucks into that one, and of course
[5:34] Speaker 1: we didn't want anything there but the quarter squares we
[5:38] Speaker 1: cleaned up on.
[5:39] Speaker 2: Nice.
[5:39] Speaker 1: Yeah, but it was yes, snoozy game.
[5:41] Speaker 2: Snoozy game.
[5:42] Speaker 1: Do you make an effort to watch the commercials?
[5:44] Speaker 2: I don't.
[5:45] Speaker 1: You don't, wow, So you have no favorite commercial.
[5:49] Speaker 2: I mean I saw the Jennifer Anison the Dunkin Donuts one. Obviously,
[5:52] Speaker 2: I think that was hilarious people because there were so
[5:55] Speaker 2: many people and it was likesta.
[5:56] Speaker 1: Star studded and deaged.
[5:59] Speaker 2: Yeah fine, fine, but you like the commercials.
[6:03] Speaker 1: I make a real point of watching the commercial.
[6:05] Speaker 2: Yeah, so interesting. But that's like the time you go
[6:07] Speaker 2: to the bathroom no water.
[6:10] Speaker 1: Commercials are one of the main reasons to watch the
[6:13] Speaker 1: Super Bowl, and that's why they pay so much money,
[6:15] Speaker 1: is because people watch them. People don't normally watch commercials.
[6:20] Speaker 1: You're not forced to, but it's one of the very
[6:22] Speaker 1: few times. Yeah, I mean I guess you're forced to that.
[6:24] Speaker 1: You can't skip them. Yes, you can leave the room. Yeah,
[6:27] Speaker 1: because live TV is so rare these days. Nobody watches
[6:30] Speaker 1: live TV. Yeah. I enjoy watching them, even though they're
[6:34] Speaker 1: often not great. I still like, hmm, wow, that was
[6:37] Speaker 1: a big celebrity you know, that sort of thing. We
[6:39] Speaker 1: got George Cluton to do that one for in Stacart
[6:42] Speaker 1: or whatever it was. I didn't even know what they're for.
[6:44] Speaker 2: Oh yeah, was it? Bradley Cooper.
[6:46] Speaker 1: Bradley Cooper was in the one with Matthew McConaughey. Yes,
[6:48] Speaker 1: that was for I think that was Instacart. Yeah, well,
[6:53] Speaker 1: somebody's eating the fees. That's the George Clutey one one
[6:56] Speaker 1: of those services that brings your food is going to
[6:58] Speaker 1: eat the fees. U uber eats maybe anything over fifty bucks,
[7:03] Speaker 1: they're going to eat the fees.
[7:04] Speaker 2: Love eating, love when they eat the fees.
[7:07] Speaker 1: So I like the commercials.
[7:09] Speaker 2: I would I'd actually be interested to do a poll
[7:11] Speaker 2: on that because I feel like you're in the minority here.
[7:13] Speaker 2: I don't think so, I think I think so.
[7:16] Speaker 1: Why would they be such a big deal if no
[7:18] Speaker 1: one watches them?
[7:18] Speaker 2: Because you're right, we're forced to watch them. Yes, it's
[7:21] Speaker 2: the most exposure that you'll get in a commercial these
[7:24] Speaker 2: days on television, I believe. But to say that I
[7:28] Speaker 2: watch the Super Bowl just for the commercials, I think
[7:30] Speaker 2: it's going to be not a big.
[7:32] Speaker 1: Thing just for the commercials. It's just like that's part
[7:35] Speaker 1: of the of the meal. It's the side dish, and
[7:38] Speaker 1: I enjoy it. Like for me, the game is the meal,
[7:41] Speaker 1: not for you. Correct, grub Hub are eating the fees
[7:44] Speaker 1: nice anyway, So no commercials, So you're just the food
[7:48] Speaker 1: at the food for the entire first half of the game.
[7:50] Speaker 2: Honestly, Kenny, I honestly, I don't even think I watched Normally,
[7:54] Speaker 2: I watch a little bit of the game. I don't
[7:55] Speaker 2: think I watched one second one wow.
[7:57] Speaker 1: Yeah, and not because it was so boring. Probably were
[8:00] Speaker 1: oblivious to where there was boring or exciting.
[8:02] Speaker 2: Robbie was saying, that's like it's a snoozy game, So
[8:04] Speaker 2: I really didn't have any interest normally when he's like
[8:06] Speaker 2: oohing and aweing at the TV, you know what I mean.
[8:08] Speaker 1: Like, and you and your friends were having excellent conversation.
[8:11] Speaker 2: Yeah, just chit chatting, Yeah, chitty chatting.
[8:13] Speaker 1: And then, by the way, that is the best time
[8:16] Speaker 1: to go to the bathroom is right when the first
[8:18] Speaker 1: half ends and the halftime is being set up. You
[8:21] Speaker 1: got about ten minutes there, great time to go to
[8:23] Speaker 1: the bathroom. Yeah, so bad, Bunny. Your thoughts the World
[8:29] Speaker 1: of Weights so good.
[8:31] Speaker 2: Crushed it. I saw a lot of people that were like,
[8:34] Speaker 2: I didn't understand what he was saying. I was like,
[8:35] Speaker 2: neither did I. But I he did such a good
[8:38] Speaker 2: job of visually showing us what he was saying, So
[8:41] Speaker 2: I feel like I got it. You know what, I mean,
[8:45] Speaker 2: for sure, it wasn't hard to get I know. But
[8:48] Speaker 2: then when I they had some videos that like posted
[8:50] Speaker 2: the like they translated it, and I was like, it's
[8:53] Speaker 2: so crazy because I actually I obviously didn't understand what
[8:55] Speaker 2: he was saying, but like, that's you're right. I was right.
[8:58] Speaker 1: Yeah, I loved what they did with and Kendrick did
[9:01] Speaker 1: some of this too last year. How they're changing the
[9:05] Speaker 1: concept of the super Bowl halftime show. What do you
[9:07] Speaker 1: mean before last year the super Bowl halftime show, I
[9:11] Speaker 1: think before Kendrick was Rihanna, it was still a giant
[9:15] Speaker 1: concert with wide shots of dozens of dancers in perfect
[9:20] Speaker 1: sync in outfits and craziness, lots of stuff going on.
[9:24] Speaker 1: Bought a giant concert. Well, Kendrick and Bad Bunny now
[9:28] Speaker 1: have done as they've changed that completely, especially Bad Bunny.
[9:31] Speaker 1: There were times when you had no idea this was
[9:33] Speaker 1: even in a football stadium. You couldn't even tell it
[9:36] Speaker 1: was so tight in his face. He was in the
[9:38] Speaker 1: sugarcane fields of Puerto Rico. It was a wedding ceremony.
[9:41] Speaker 1: He was in the casita like it was nothing to
[9:43] Speaker 1: do with a football stadium or a concert, And that
[9:46] Speaker 1: was amazing. And I think I don't know the way
[9:49] Speaker 1: it's going. It's changing so much just the past two years.
[9:52] Speaker 2: But you know what I found interesting. I was watching
[9:53] Speaker 2: a lot of people on Instagram that were there, like
[9:56] Speaker 2: in Levi Stadium, and normally, like the people that are
[9:59] Speaker 2: w that are in the stadium don't like the halftime
[10:01] Speaker 2: show because like they don't see anything, like it's like
[10:03] Speaker 2: they can barely see anything, but they seem to really
[10:06] Speaker 2: enjoy it and they could like make out what's going on,
[10:08] Speaker 2: and there was like so much like the big screen
[10:10] Speaker 2: was like huge, and the fireworks. Like they seem to
[10:12] Speaker 2: really enjoy it in the stadium too, which I think
[10:15] Speaker 2: is like.
[10:15] Speaker 1: Huge, right because you do obviously you have to.
[10:18] Speaker 2: You're doing it for the TV one hundred and forty million.
[10:20] Speaker 1: People watching, instead of the seventy thousand in the building.
[10:22] Speaker 2: Oh it's seventy thousand at that one.
[10:24] Speaker 1: It is, Yeah, but I thought it was phenomenal. Yeah,
[10:28] Speaker 1: And I've seen so many TikTok videos the past few days.
[10:31] Speaker 1: Are these on your feed too? Of people from different countries,
[10:35] Speaker 1: like a room full of people from Ecuador or Duras
[10:39] Speaker 1: or I'm saying it that way because that's how bad
[10:42] Speaker 1: Bunny said it when he was rattling them all off.
[10:44] Speaker 1: And when they say the name Nicaragua, they just lose
[10:47] Speaker 1: their minds, like they said the name of their country. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
[10:51] Speaker 1: that's what it's all about. As far as I'm concerned.
[10:54] Speaker 1: I thought that was phenomenal.
[10:55] Speaker 2: I thought it was so good too, so so good,
[10:58] Speaker 2: But all in all, that's really what I watched it for. Okay,
[11:03] Speaker 2: so you watch that, and then I was like.
[11:06] Speaker 1: And then you were checked out? What about in the
[11:08] Speaker 1: fourth quarter when people started scoring again?
[11:10] Speaker 2: Yeah, I heard a little scuttle uh huh. I heard
[11:12] Speaker 2: a little, but it really wasn't enough to beat my interest.
[11:15] Speaker 1: How do you spend four hours standing around a table
[11:18] Speaker 1: with chips like that seems unsustainable.
[11:19] Speaker 2: No, I'm like chit chatting with like everybody that's there,
[11:22] Speaker 2: just like having like gorgeous conversations.
[11:25] Speaker 1: Wow.
[11:28] Speaker 2: Very surprised how long I could talk to my friends for.
[11:30] Speaker 1: And that's why you do the work you do. Yeah, yeah,
[11:33] Speaker 1: that's why you have a podcast. Did you on a
[11:34] Speaker 1: morning radio?
[11:35] Speaker 2: I talk seven days a week and I'm still not
[11:38] Speaker 2: done talking. You know, that's perfect, But yeah, you know,
[11:42] Speaker 2: it did kind of make me realize that and I
[11:45] Speaker 2: say this all the time because I do like the
[11:46] Speaker 2: camaraderie of it. I like the like I'm happy that's
[11:50] Speaker 2: through that, Like football's done until September. I have my
[11:52] Speaker 2: husband back. Congratulations, thank you so much. But I do
[11:55] Speaker 2: want to like get on get on board next year.
[11:58] Speaker 1: I think you say that every year.
[11:59] Speaker 2: I do because I'm like, I want I want to
[12:01] Speaker 2: be a part so bad. I want to like get
[12:05] Speaker 2: a Seahawks jersey or like you know what I mean,
[12:07] Speaker 2: Like I want.
[12:07] Speaker 1: To know why you get a Seahawks jersey.
[12:11] Speaker 2: Well, I mean that was for like this last super Bowl.
[12:14] Speaker 1: Okay, but I'm saying, if you want to maintain your
[12:16] Speaker 1: Seahawks fandom.
[12:17] Speaker 2: I think you were justified for the Rams.
[12:20] Speaker 1: I just found out in the last couple of days.
[12:21] Speaker 1: I think my wife figured this out. The Seahawks are
[12:25] Speaker 1: owned and operated by a modern woman. That's right, and
[12:29] Speaker 1: there are not many football teams owned by women. So
[12:33] Speaker 1: keep that in mind.
[12:34] Speaker 2: Shoot, So do I become a Seahawks fan?
[12:37] Speaker 1: I think over the Rams?
[12:38] Speaker 2: Yes, really yes, even though I live in LA.
[12:42] Speaker 1: I mean, that's your decision. I cannot tell.
[12:44] Speaker 2: You, Okay. So anyways, and because like the Super Bowl
[12:49] Speaker 2: next year is on Valentine's Day.
[12:50] Speaker 1: Ye warning, warning warning, super Bowl sixty one is on
[12:54] Speaker 1: Valentine's Day next year. The good news is it's on
[12:57] Speaker 1: President's Day weekend, so you get the day after awe
[13:01] Speaker 1: option for you.
[13:02] Speaker 2: But you know what I saw, They're already predicting who's
[13:05] Speaker 2: going to do this halftime show for next year.
[13:08] Speaker 1: They have the odds up.
[13:09] Speaker 2: The odds, yes, and it appears to me like it's
[13:14] Speaker 2: quite a good crew.
[13:15] Speaker 1: Well, I mean, they're just guessing. This is what fan
[13:18] Speaker 1: Duel says is a possibility for next year's halftime show.
[13:21] Speaker 1: But again they're simply guessing. They have no insight information
[13:24] Speaker 1: and really it's up to Jay Z's Rock Nation. They
[13:27] Speaker 1: produce it every year. The NFL has nothing to do
[13:29] Speaker 1: with it anymore. They outsourced it. Yeah, here's who they
[13:32] Speaker 1: are thinking. Their favorite right now is Miley Cyrus. I
[13:34] Speaker 1: don't know about that one. That seems odd to be
[13:37] Speaker 1: a favorite.
[13:39] Speaker 2: Okay.
[13:40] Speaker 1: I mean we like Miley just fine love, but I
[13:43] Speaker 1: don't know that she's the massive global star that Bad
[13:46] Speaker 1: Bunny is or Kendrick.
[13:47] Speaker 2: She would take on the task and she would make
[13:50] Speaker 2: it huge.
[13:50] Speaker 1: You think so?
[13:51] Speaker 2: I think so.
[13:52] Speaker 1: It's a tough act to follow the last store A
[13:54] Speaker 1: tough act.
[13:55] Speaker 2: To follow, Yes, but you know what, if anyone can
[13:57] Speaker 2: do it, a woman can.
[13:58] Speaker 1: Well what about Cardi b She's number Yes, you like
[14:01] Speaker 1: that one?
[14:01] Speaker 2: I really like that one. It could be good she
[14:03] Speaker 2: was there, of course it would be fun.
[14:05] Speaker 1: Yeap. How about Taylor Swift? That's always on there. But
[14:07] Speaker 1: I don't think she has any interest or need you think?
[14:13] Speaker 2: I don't know. Tell me about Travis Kelsey retiring. Is
[14:15] Speaker 2: he gonna play next year?
[14:16] Speaker 1: Doesn't look like it?
[14:17] Speaker 2: Oh?
[14:17] Speaker 1: Really is that officially yet? I don't think that's official yet.
[14:19] Speaker 1: But my understanding was this was his final year.
[14:23] Speaker 2: Well, I don't. I don't know the answer to that.
[14:24] Speaker 2: That's why I asked you, because I don't know anything.
[14:26] Speaker 1: It is not official, though, But I could see her.
[14:29] Speaker 2: I think it'd be so cool if he was like
[14:30] Speaker 2: playing in the super Bowl and she was performing in it.
[14:33] Speaker 1: That seems unlikely that she seemed to be on a
[14:35] Speaker 1: bit of a down stretch now, and if he retires
[14:38] Speaker 1: that will only expediate the fall of the cancers that
[14:41] Speaker 1: I just don't see her. I think people do it
[14:44] Speaker 1: for exposure, Yeah, but I guess there's an honor to it.
[14:47] Speaker 1: But yeah, the exposure, it's it's a really a big deal,
[14:50] Speaker 1: and Taylor's doesn't need much more exposure. She could use
[14:54] Speaker 1: a little less. Lil Wayne that was an odd choice.
[14:57] Speaker 1: I thought he's a little out of to Yeah, he
[15:01] Speaker 1: pocket asap.
[15:03] Speaker 2: Rocky would be good.
[15:05] Speaker 1: Justin Bieber. I would not be a fan of that.
[15:07] Speaker 1: You would be a fan of that. I'm not a
[15:09] Speaker 1: Bieber fan.
[15:10] Speaker 2: I would like to see that, all right.
[15:12] Speaker 1: How about Drake?
[15:13] Speaker 2: I would like to see that.
[15:14] Speaker 1: Might be curious to see how he responds to kid. Yeah, yeah,
[15:17] Speaker 1: how about Arianna Grande?
[15:19] Speaker 2: I would love that.
[15:20] Speaker 1: And finally, on their lift, They're least likely on their lift.
[15:24] Speaker 1: But I think maybe one of the best choices is
[15:25] Speaker 1: Harry Styles.
[15:26] Speaker 2: That would be epic.
[15:27] Speaker 1: He's going to have a monster twenty twenty six. Yeah,
[15:31] Speaker 1: so that one makes a lot of sense to me.
[15:33] Speaker 2: It does make us.
[15:33] Speaker 1: He would absolutely think outside the box and come up
[15:37] Speaker 1: with a whole new concept.
[15:38] Speaker 2: Of course he would. He would make it like a
[15:40] Speaker 2: musical or something like that we've ever seen.
[15:41] Speaker 1: It be very interesting what he would do.
[15:43] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, but I'd like to see it. I'd
[15:45] Speaker 2: like to see it go to a woman tb.
[15:47] Speaker 1: Well we'll see my picks Harry Styles.
[15:52] Speaker 2: I'm gonna go with Cardi B.
[15:54] Speaker 1: Wow. All right, we are only three hundred sixty nine
[16:03] Speaker 1: days away.
[16:05] Speaker 2: Today's also another big day and a huge day, but
[16:10] Speaker 2: I want to get to when we come back. We're back.
[16:34] Speaker 2: Today's big day Tuesday, February tenth, because the Girls Like
[16:39] Speaker 2: Girls movie trailer is officially out today. It is only
[16:46] Speaker 2: in theaters June nineteenth. That's the verbiage on the website.
[16:50] Speaker 2: I don't know what that means.
[16:52] Speaker 1: But what do you mean you don't know what that means?
[16:53] Speaker 2: It's pretty in theaters June nineteenth. Like I read that,
[16:57] Speaker 2: and I was like, Sam, does that mean it's only
[16:59] Speaker 2: in theaters on June nineteenth? That's so act.
[17:01] Speaker 1: All they're trying to say is you have to go
[17:03] Speaker 1: to the theater to see.
[17:04] Speaker 2: This stream so that they should say it's in theaters
[17:08] Speaker 2: on June nineteenth. You can't stream it, I guess.
[17:11] Speaker 1: But they're trying to more suidlight. I think about casting
[17:13] Speaker 1: shade towards the streamer. Okay, but as of June nineteenth,
[17:16] Speaker 1: you can go see it in theaters. If you much
[17:18] Speaker 1: later come to streaming. I just watched the trailer just now.
[17:21] Speaker 1: It looks fantastic. Yeah, and it made me weepy.
[17:24] Speaker 2: I got chilled the first time that I watched it.
[17:26] Speaker 2: It's like so crazy because obviously we know her so intimately,
[17:30] Speaker 2: and like she's been working on this for so long.
[17:32] Speaker 2: And if you don't know, the movie Girls Like Girls
[17:35] Speaker 2: is based on one of Haley's hit singles and best
[17:40] Speaker 2: selling novel of the same name, Girls Like Girls, and
[17:43] Speaker 2: so it's like a coming of age story and she's
[17:46] Speaker 2: been working on this, I mean for so long, and
[17:50] Speaker 2: it's so crazy to see it come to fruition, just
[17:53] Speaker 2: because I know how hard she's been working on it,
[17:56] Speaker 2: you know, through Becca, and like looks beautiful. Like the
[18:02] Speaker 2: trailer was so beautifully done with the song in the background,
[18:05] Speaker 2: Like it just gave me chills.
[18:08] Speaker 1: I don't know how you do any of it. I
[18:09] Speaker 1: don't know if I talked about this before. I don't
[18:11] Speaker 1: know how you write a novel so many words.
[18:13] Speaker 2: But it's not even that. It's like it's like working
[18:15] Speaker 2: on something for so long and like tweaking it, you
[18:18] Speaker 2: know what I mean, Like you're going in, you're doing
[18:20] Speaker 2: all this stuff, You're tweaking these edits, and you're putting
[18:22] Speaker 2: the songs into it, and you're doing making the trailer,
[18:24] Speaker 2: and like we do a podcast and we put it
[18:26] Speaker 2: out the next day and we're done with it.
[18:28] Speaker 1: You know what I mean.
[18:28] Speaker 2: And it's it's you know, it's not forgotten, but you're like, yeah, yeah,
[18:32] Speaker 2: like we kind of. And that's the way I operate.
[18:34] Speaker 2: We do a morning show, we do it, it's out,
[18:36] Speaker 2: and you do another one the next day, you know
[18:38] Speaker 2: what I mean, Like you do disposable correct, whereas like
[18:41] Speaker 2: a movie, you you you spend so much time and
[18:44] Speaker 2: if you think about it, because it's based off her
[18:45] Speaker 2: book and the song, like this has been the works
[18:47] Speaker 2: for like.
[18:48] Speaker 1: Ever for her, it's really amazing. And also it's stuff
[18:51] Speaker 1: like and obviously there's the case with her music too.
[18:54] Speaker 1: It's gonna last, it's gonna live forever, right, like she'll
[18:56] Speaker 1: be one hundred years from now, we're all gone, people
[19:00] Speaker 1: are still listening to Haley Kyoka music, reading the book,
[19:03] Speaker 1: watching the movie because it's still going to exist and
[19:05] Speaker 1: that's an accomplishment.
[19:06] Speaker 2: Yeah, So that is really exciting, So so proud of you, Haley.
[19:11] Speaker 2: We can't wait to watch it, can't wait to see it.
[19:15] Speaker 2: I don't know what the countdown is till June nineteenth,
[19:17] Speaker 2: but it's going to be here.
[19:18] Speaker 1: Before you know, I say, four months and nine days.
[19:20] Speaker 2: Okay, perfect, we can't wait Valentine's Days this weekend? Oh
[19:27] Speaker 2: oh you know I actually have like some kind of
[19:29] Speaker 2: breaking news.
[19:34] Speaker 1: Is this worthy of a timp maybe?
[19:37] Speaker 2: Okay, long tim I'm kind of getting my mojo back.
[19:51] Speaker 1: Oh okay, you lost it for a bit there, I
[19:53] Speaker 1: lost it. And over a couple months, what are the
[19:55] Speaker 1: signs you've gotten that?
[19:57] Speaker 2: It's going to sound so silly and like probably very
[20:01] Speaker 2: unrelatable to you, but maybe to somebody listening. There was
[20:05] Speaker 2: a point like I've just found comfort in sweatpants. Like
[20:08] Speaker 2: I've been wearing sweatpants since probably December. I haven't put
[20:12] Speaker 2: on like maybe I've worn a pair of jeans once
[20:14] Speaker 2: and it was too soon. I couldn't button them. And
[20:17] Speaker 2: I haven't even thought about putting a legging on, Like
[20:19] Speaker 2: the thought of even even like to work out. I've
[20:21] Speaker 2: been like getting back into my workout routine. I thought
[20:23] Speaker 2: of putting a legging on was like like like I
[20:26] Speaker 2: just couldn't do it. And this weekend, I like put
[20:29] Speaker 2: leggings on for the first time, like in a while
[20:34] Speaker 2: and I like did my workout and I just like
[20:36] Speaker 2: did it two days in a row, and for some reason,
[20:39] Speaker 2: like something in me just kind of like rejiggered and
[20:45] Speaker 2: like I'm kind of like feeling it again. Yeah good. Yeah,
[20:50] Speaker 2: So I wouldn't say it's like fully back, but I'm
[20:52] Speaker 2: definitely like on the road to getting it back.
[20:54] Speaker 1: And that's your that's what you mean by Mojoe, your
[20:56] Speaker 1: motivation yours?
[20:58] Speaker 2: Yes?
[20:59] Speaker 1: Good?
[20:59] Speaker 2: What is my Tanian?
[21:00] Speaker 1: Is vibration plate you got?
[21:04] Speaker 2: I've been seeing it on social media a lot lately.
[21:06] Speaker 2: People are doing this, like they stand on this like
[21:08] Speaker 2: vibrate plate that like vibrates and that like supposed to
[21:11] Speaker 2: be good for elymphatic system. So I got one that
[21:14] Speaker 2: I'm gonna be trying. So maybe that might bring my
[21:15] Speaker 2: mojo back even more.
[21:17] Speaker 1: You haven't tried it yet.
[21:17] Speaker 2: I haven't tried it yet.
[21:18] Speaker 1: You stand on it, it.
[21:20] Speaker 2: Vibrates for like ten minutes or something like that.
[21:22] Speaker 1: Okay, And what do you do when you're on it?
[21:24] Speaker 1: Nothing to stand there and.
[21:25] Speaker 2: Start at the wall, watch Instagram scroll.
[21:27] Speaker 1: I love an exercise that you can watch Instagram or.
[21:30] Speaker 2: Like check your emails, do emails, whatever you want. So
[21:33] Speaker 2: stand by because in like a week, you might not
[21:35] Speaker 2: have my mojo might be so high I can't even
[21:37] Speaker 2: fit in this room.
[21:38] Speaker 1: Wow, what about higher rocks? Is that what it's called too?
[21:42] Speaker 2: I that seems a bit of a girthy undertaking, because
[21:45] Speaker 2: like old Tanya would crush the higher rock Soft Girl
[21:50] Speaker 2: era Tanya feels like it might be a bit ambitious.
[21:53] Speaker 2: But I'm seeing all these people, like it's like very
[21:55] Speaker 2: trendy right now, and I like see people doing it,
[21:59] Speaker 2: and I'm like that high that you get from like
[22:01] Speaker 2: pushing yourself so much, you know, I'm like, maybe I
[22:04] Speaker 2: could use that. So I'm like, I'm high rocks adjacent.
[22:08] Speaker 2: I'm high rocks curious.
[22:09] Speaker 1: What is high rocks.
[22:10] Speaker 2: It's like you run a kilometer and then you do
[22:13] Speaker 2: like one like station, so like if it's like rowing,
[22:17] Speaker 2: then you do a certain like number of that, and
[22:18] Speaker 2: then you run another kilometer and then it's like eight
[22:21] Speaker 2: different stations, so eight kilometers.
[22:24] Speaker 1: Yeah, in total, that's a lot of miles.
[22:26] Speaker 2: I think one kilometer is like a little over the
[22:28] Speaker 2: half of a mile.
[22:29] Speaker 1: Is that right?
[22:30] Speaker 2: It's four miles, So let's.
[22:31] Speaker 1: Say eight kilometers to miles. And let me tell you
[22:33] Speaker 1: right now, what it is is five.
[22:34] Speaker 2: Miles Yeah, five miles.
[22:35] Speaker 1: Wow, Yeah, okay, you're up for that.
[22:38] Speaker 2: I don't know what.
[22:40] Speaker 1: A lot of mojo for that.
[22:42] Speaker 2: Yeah, the fact that I'm thinking about it makes me
[22:44] Speaker 2: feel like things are good.
[22:46] Speaker 1: You know what about So there's your physical mojo. Yeah,
[22:50] Speaker 1: you've talked to me about maybe one you start meditating.
[22:54] Speaker 2: So that's that's a Robbie thing.
[22:56] Speaker 1: That's a right. Yeah, he's pushing for that.
[22:57] Speaker 2: He's pushing hard for that. Okay, he wants me to
[23:00] Speaker 2: meditate ten minutes a day. He'll do whatever I want.
[23:03] Speaker 1: That's what he said. Uh huh. He said, if you
[23:05] Speaker 1: start meditating, because you can get you're getting a little stressed.
[23:08] Speaker 1: I get very stressed, a little frantic.
[23:09] Speaker 2: Sometimes I get very wound up about like everything. Yeah,
[23:14] Speaker 2: that's been my personality my whole life. So it's very
[23:16] Speaker 2: hard to unwire that.
[23:17] Speaker 1: So he said, look, babe, does he call you babe? Yeah, babe,
[23:21] Speaker 1: I need you to meditate for ten minutes a day.
[23:24] Speaker 1: I'll do anything you want. That sounds like a mat
[23:26] Speaker 1: at the point of desperation.
[23:30] Speaker 2: Yeah, I think he is.
[23:31] Speaker 1: Yeah, have you given consideration to anything you want?
[23:35] Speaker 2: Well, first I need to like meditate, first I need
[23:38] Speaker 2: to walk the walk and then I can get whatever
[23:40] Speaker 2: I want.
[23:40] Speaker 1: I know, but do you think the girthy that like
[23:43] Speaker 1: big as a huge category? So what would you want?
[23:46] Speaker 1: What do you want from Robbie that doesn't already provide.
[23:48] Speaker 2: That's a great question that I'm grappling with because I
[23:51] Speaker 2: don't know the answer to it. But it would be
[23:53] Speaker 2: something like stupid, like I want him to like take
[23:57] Speaker 2: melatonin a night or something to help because I'm so
[24:00] Speaker 2: focused on his sleep that like I want to I
[24:03] Speaker 2: want to help him sleep better.
[24:04] Speaker 1: What if he eats those garbage crackers you used to make.
[24:07] Speaker 2: No, he eats his sunflower seeds at work now because
[24:09] Speaker 2: I've like told him how gross it is.
[24:12] Speaker 1: So he oh it is gross.
[24:14] Speaker 2: It's so gross. But now he only eats them at work.
[24:16] Speaker 2: So I'm like, I mean, he just always does what
[24:18] Speaker 2: I want.
[24:18] Speaker 1: So we talked about it before you get into it again.
[24:21] Speaker 1: But yes, I need and then it goes into my
[24:24] Speaker 1: mouth and then out needs to never come out again.
[24:26] Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't see it come out.
[24:28] Speaker 1: One way street.
[24:29] Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, I know, actually know I was going
[24:33] Speaker 2: to ask you this because you've been married for a
[24:35] Speaker 2: long time, but our one year wedding anniversary is coming up, yeah,
[24:38] Speaker 2: and like what do you do?
[24:40] Speaker 1: You know, it's a cute little story, but the first
[24:44] Speaker 1: wedding anniversary is paper. And my wife and I both
[24:47] Speaker 1: independently had the idea to go to Staples and get
[24:50] Speaker 1: a ream of paper for the other. One just does
[24:52] Speaker 1: a joke because like, hey, it's paper. We had the
[24:54] Speaker 1: same joke.
[24:55] Speaker 2: Oh like a stack of yeah, bought each.
[24:57] Speaker 1: Other or a stack of paper because without it be funny.
[24:59] Speaker 1: We both thought funny. Isn't that cute?
[25:00] Speaker 2: That is really cute?
[25:02] Speaker 1: What do you do for your first wedding anniversary?
[25:03] Speaker 2: Is that the question?
[25:05] Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean just maybe go away together
[25:08] Speaker 1: a nice little weekend away. Doesn't that sound nice?
[25:11] Speaker 2: Yeah?
[25:12] Speaker 1: But that's not no sad enough or a big deal.
[25:15] Speaker 2: No, That's what I'm saying. I don't know, Like what
[25:17] Speaker 2: Like I'm like, isn't do we just do it nice? Didn't?
[25:19] Speaker 2: I Like, we didn't save any We didn't even have
[25:20] Speaker 2: a wedding cake, so like the eating the cake a
[25:22] Speaker 2: year later, but like we don't have any of that.
[25:25] Speaker 2: Do you watch the video? Like I'm just kind of
[25:26] Speaker 2: like I want to establish something that's like that's easy
[25:30] Speaker 2: enough that we can do every year, do you know
[25:32] Speaker 2: what I mean? Like maybe there's some years we can't
[25:33] Speaker 2: get away, you know what I'm saying.
[25:35] Speaker 1: I tell you we waited twenty years to watch the video,
[25:40] Speaker 1: so you don't watch it every year. We do not
[25:41] Speaker 1: watch it every year. We did not watch it for
[25:43] Speaker 1: twenty years, and then we showed it to.
[25:44] Speaker 2: The kids and you liked that idea.
[25:47] Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not. I don't know. It's just kind
[25:49] Speaker 1: of what we did. I wasn't even a conscious thing,
[25:51] Speaker 1: like we put it away like all right, huh, twenty
[25:53] Speaker 1: twelve or twenty twenty two, we're gonna watch this. No,
[25:55] Speaker 1: we just it was on the shelf, and after a
[25:58] Speaker 1: while we were just like we should watch that. Anniversaries
[26:00] Speaker 1: coming up, and so we did. The kids got a
[26:02] Speaker 1: big kick out of it.
[26:03] Speaker 2: Yeah, I haven't found like we watched it on our honeymoon,
[26:05] Speaker 2: which was like three or four months after our wedding,
[26:08] Speaker 2: and I think because you like kind of black out
[26:11] Speaker 2: at your wedding like you were, I remember it, but
[26:13] Speaker 2: then like I remember watching the video thinking like oh
[26:15] Speaker 2: my gosh, I didn't remember like that or like that
[26:17] Speaker 2: you said that, or little things. So I'm like, I
[26:20] Speaker 2: think that might be.
[26:21] Speaker 1: Nice to see tradition.
[26:24] Speaker 2: Right Anyways, I'm just trying to think of like what
[26:27] Speaker 2: I want that thing to be for us, something that's
[26:30] Speaker 2: like easy that we can do every year, but that's
[26:34] Speaker 2: like really sentimental and special.
[26:35] Speaker 1: Maybe I Love Island Marathon.
[26:38] Speaker 2: Well that I mean, that is just it's just Christmas Day,
[26:42] Speaker 2: em pretty day.
[26:43] Speaker 1: We're in season right now.
[26:45] Speaker 2: In season, and like there's nothing that brings me more
[26:47] Speaker 2: joy than seeing on the screen of Love Island, like
[26:51] Speaker 2: drops daily so much. Do you understand I'm.
[26:58] Speaker 1: A hypocrite though, Like baseball drop daily and I watch
[27:01] Speaker 1: it daily, So I'm a hypocrite when I say that
[27:03] Speaker 1: that sounds insane, but it does sound insane.
[27:05] Speaker 2: Yeah, I hit my low last week when I watched
[27:07] Speaker 2: Unseen Bits, because that's like that's like the throwaway episode,
[27:10] Speaker 2: you know, like that's like your night off, like.
[27:12] Speaker 1: Seven days a week, but one of them is just
[27:14] Speaker 1: a just.
[27:15] Speaker 2: Unseen Yeah, okay clips, but it's just like garbage. I
[27:19] Speaker 2: don't even see any of.
[27:20] Speaker 1: This advance the storyline.
[27:22] Speaker 2: It's like, oh, they all fart in the room they
[27:23] Speaker 2: sleep in, like it's like gross, you know, And then
[27:27] Speaker 2: there's usually like an after Sun, but they haven't been
[27:29] Speaker 2: having that on this All Star season, which I enjoy.
[27:32] Speaker 2: So yeah, it's every night, and so last night it
[27:34] Speaker 2: was unseen bits and I was just like, I can't
[27:36] Speaker 2: do it again. I can't watch it again.
[27:37] Speaker 1: It's called after Sun after Sun, so like when the
[27:40] Speaker 1: sun goes down.
[27:41] Speaker 2: I guess that's like the idea it's supposed to be.
[27:43] Speaker 2: It's kind of like it's like a live like where
[27:45] Speaker 2: they bring the people who just like got out of
[27:46] Speaker 2: the villa and they like have an audience.
[27:50] Speaker 1: And this is an all star season.
[27:52] Speaker 2: This is an all star season.
[27:53] Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's the UK All Stars.
[27:54] Speaker 2: Yeah, but they brought in USA. Oh I know, I know.
[27:58] Speaker 2: I'd be like I'm a Medica, Like, yes you do.
[28:03] Speaker 1: Because Survivor All Stars starts in a couple of weeks.
[28:06] Speaker 2: Yes, do you know what they're doing?
[28:08] Speaker 1: I don't.
[28:08] Speaker 2: They are. By the way, just put a little button
[28:11] Speaker 2: on the Love Island conversation. I did get asked to
[28:14] Speaker 2: do daily recaps on my Instagram. Oh and I did
[28:18] Speaker 2: a poll and it was fifty to fifty people that
[28:20] Speaker 2: would want it or not want it. And I figure,
[28:21] Speaker 2: that's great, that's a pretty good I thought I'm doing
[28:25] Speaker 2: them daily.
[28:25] Speaker 1: Now, who asked you to do it? I have to
[28:28] Speaker 1: look at somebody from Love Island, like from Peacock No.
[28:31] Speaker 2: No, no, just like somebody that no, not official at all,
[28:34] Speaker 2: somebody a fan that like also watches Love Island that like, yeah,
[28:37] Speaker 2: wants to hear my thoughts on Love.
[28:38] Speaker 1: Island fifty A nice return, And that's what I thought too.
[28:41] Speaker 2: So it's like, so I'm going to do it daily.
[28:42] Speaker 2: So I'm doing them daily.
[28:44] Speaker 1: Are you watching the Olympics?
[28:46] Speaker 2: Wait? What we were going into?
[28:49] Speaker 1: Keep keep it moving? Oh yeah, what are they doing
[28:51] Speaker 1: on Survivor?
[28:52] Speaker 2: They are showing like really prominent episodes from the people
[28:58] Speaker 2: who were going to be on season fifty.
[29:00] Speaker 1: That, yes, I thought, what is this random Survivor episode
[29:04] Speaker 1: on CBS? I see?
[29:06] Speaker 2: Yeah, So they're like setting up all the players for
[29:09] Speaker 2: this new season in case you missed their season.
[29:11] Speaker 1: That's actually pretty smart, very smart. I don't remember anyone.
[29:14] Speaker 2: Oh, I remember lots of them.
[29:16] Speaker 1: I don't remember or what we're kind of in the
[29:19] Speaker 1: middle of season forty nine right now. Huh. I don't
[29:21] Speaker 1: remember people who were kicked out this season. It is
[29:23] Speaker 1: just so yeah, speaking of disposable, I know.
[29:27] Speaker 2: It is kind of bad. But that's the same thing
[29:28] Speaker 2: with Love Island, Like I'm like, yeah, these yeah, but yeah,
[29:33] Speaker 2: I'm very excited for season fifty. They're bringing back the
[29:38] Speaker 2: live We're so happy to see that. I know, love
[29:42] Speaker 2: that part. I do too.
[29:44] Speaker 1: The best.
[29:45] Speaker 2: I have to get in there.
[29:47] Speaker 1: When they go from emaciated and filthy to clean and
[29:51] Speaker 1: normal health weight, it's the best.
[29:54] Speaker 2: And like to see what they wear, like they're like
[29:56] Speaker 2: what their style? Yes, yeah, I did bring a suit.
[30:01] Speaker 2: I would not picture that.
[30:02] Speaker 1: Those were good times. I'm glad they're bringing that back, But.
[30:05] Speaker 2: I don't know if they're ohea. I guess they do.
[30:06] Speaker 2: They can't do it right away.
[30:08] Speaker 1: No, that's the problem is you got to not tell
[30:10] Speaker 1: anybody if you want to know your dollars or not
[30:12] Speaker 1: for months.
[30:12] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I gotta get into that finale or reunion.
[30:18] Speaker 1: You should to get into that finale slash reunion. I
[30:20] Speaker 1: have to. Yeah, Well, aren't you buddies with propes? Do
[30:23] Speaker 1: you guys chatted about being stepparents.
[30:25] Speaker 2: I know, I thought I was buddies with propes, but
[30:27] Speaker 2: like I've been trying to get propes on this podcast
[30:29] Speaker 2: for pretty.
[30:30] Speaker 1: Much basically, we love nothing more you know, I was
[30:33] Speaker 1: a contestant on a Rock and Roll Jeopardy back in
[30:35] Speaker 1: the nineties and he was the host. We have much
[30:38] Speaker 1: to discuss, me and Jeff Probes.
[30:40] Speaker 3: We ask every season for Jeff Probes and we have
[30:43] Speaker 3: again we.
[30:43] Speaker 2: Have not heard.
[30:44] Speaker 1: So you seem to me at one point I know, said.
[30:49] Speaker 3: Yes, they want to make it work. It's never been
[30:50] Speaker 3: a no. It's been a just a when. So I
[30:54] Speaker 3: forever am holding out hope.
[30:55] Speaker 1: My question for him is, how can I look as
[30:58] Speaker 1: good as you look when I'm sixty four years old?
[31:00] Speaker 2: I don't know if I like that question.
[31:02] Speaker 1: It's such a great he looks fantastic, I know, but
[31:04] Speaker 1: as a compliment, I.
[31:05] Speaker 2: Don't know if it's a compliment.
[31:07] Speaker 1: The man is and he's got seventy on the horizon
[31:11] Speaker 1: and fantastic.
[31:13] Speaker 2: I agree with you. However, I don't know that would
[31:16] Speaker 2: be received.
[31:16] Speaker 1: Well thick with Rock and Roll Jeopardy questions because they
[31:20] Speaker 1: owe me money. As far as I'm concerned, I.
[31:23] Speaker 2: Love Jeff Probs. I mean that guy is a legend. Yes,
[31:28] Speaker 2: but also just like the way he went out of
[31:33] Speaker 2: his way to answer the kids every question, did not
[31:36] Speaker 2: like he had every executive lined up to talk to him,
[31:39] Speaker 2: and he did not make the kids feel rushed at all,
[31:43] Speaker 2: Like he took the time to answer all their questions
[31:45] Speaker 2: and then pulled robbing and I aside to like talk
[31:47] Speaker 2: to us about like the step parenting role, and like,
[31:51] Speaker 2: I don't know, I just thought it was so sweet,
[31:54] Speaker 2: like he didn't have to do that at all.
[31:55] Speaker 1: He just seems like a real one.
[31:57] Speaker 2: Yeah, a real one for sure. But I'm really excited
[32:01] Speaker 2: for season fifty. I mean, wow, for a TV addict,
[32:04] Speaker 2: there's a lot of good stuff coming out right around
[32:08] Speaker 2: now going. It's it's it's it's going, it's thriving, although
[32:14] Speaker 2: it's taking a bit of a pause because Robbie does
[32:16] Speaker 2: like watching the Olympics.
[32:17] Speaker 1: How's that been going?
[32:18] Speaker 2: So I have to give it to him because he
[32:20] Speaker 2: watches like all my stuff.
[32:21] Speaker 1: Yeah, so you know, so what have you found that
[32:23] Speaker 1: you enjoy at the Olympics.
[32:25] Speaker 2: Nothing, I'm joking. What do I enjoy? I like the jumping,
[32:31] Speaker 2: the ski jumping, I like the like did you.
[32:33] Speaker 1: Hear about the controversy? Yeah, so they say that the
[32:37] Speaker 1: skill male ski jumpers are injecting filler into their wieners
[32:45] Speaker 1: to make it bigger for the three D scan of
[32:49] Speaker 1: their bodies so that they get more fabric, right, because
[32:52] Speaker 1: that allows them to get a larger suit in the
[32:55] Speaker 1: crotch area. Then their weiener goes back to normal size,
[32:59] Speaker 1: and then you've just got empty fabric which works as
[33:02] Speaker 1: a sail and keeps you airborne longer as a ski jumper.
[33:08] Speaker 1: It's kind of genius that somebody thought of that.
[33:10] Speaker 2: It is genius. But also, like what who wants to
[33:13] Speaker 2: inject their meaner with anything?
[33:15] Speaker 1: Like a gold medal? Is a gold medal?
[33:17] Speaker 2: That is so crazy? Like I don't have a wiener,
[33:21] Speaker 2: but if I did, I would not want to inject.
[33:23] Speaker 1: It with I that's fair to say. Is you want
[33:26] Speaker 1: to keep all the needles away from it as much
[33:28] Speaker 1: as you can? Yeah? Yes, and really all genitalia y
[33:31] Speaker 1: free of needles is a good policy.
[33:34] Speaker 2: Yeah. I wouldn't want to be like injecting my vagina
[33:38] Speaker 2: with anything.
[33:38] Speaker 1: Oh so, even to a gold medal.
[33:41] Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm just gonna go ahead and hope that that's
[33:47] Speaker 2: not legit.
[33:48] Speaker 1: Well, we'll see, we'll find out they're looking into the
[33:50] Speaker 1: allegations or taking it very seriously.
[33:52] Speaker 2: Now, Mark, I need to ask you something. Oh wait,
[33:54] Speaker 2: I wanted to talk about the Jason Bateman Charlie XCX backlash, Yes,
[33:58] Speaker 2: and then I also wanted to talk about Tom Brady
[34:01] Speaker 2: and Alex Earl Okay, but I think we'll do that
[34:03] Speaker 2: when we get back. Great, we are back baby, Okay.
[34:25] Speaker 2: So there was like a huge story last week that
[34:29] Speaker 2: Jason Bateman from The Smartlest Podcast was getting a lot
[34:32] Speaker 2: of backlash from their Charlie XCX interview about having children.
[34:37] Speaker 2: And The Smartlest Podcast is hosted by Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes,
[34:41] Speaker 2: and Will Arnett. Obviously it's a huge, massive podcast, and
[34:46] Speaker 2: they had Charlie XCX on as a guest. In the
[34:47] Speaker 2: way that their interviews go, one of them knows who
[34:53] Speaker 2: the guest is and then the other two are like surprised.
[34:56] Speaker 1: I enjoy that, by the way.
[34:58] Speaker 2: So I enjoy that. To actually talk to our producer
[35:00] Speaker 2: Sam about doing like something kind of like that on
[35:02] Speaker 2: our podcast cool because I think it allows like we're
[35:08] Speaker 2: not all experts on everybody. And I think when you
[35:11] Speaker 2: don't know someone and you're not trying to pretend to
[35:14] Speaker 2: know them, you can get very honest conversations, like you
[35:17] Speaker 2: just treat them like a human.
[35:19] Speaker 1: Right. He was more curious naturally, Uh, huh.
[35:21] Speaker 2: And I noticed that in this interview because Jason Bateman
[35:24] Speaker 2: did not know anything about Charlie XCX, which they've.
[35:27] Speaker 1: Had like Clayton Kursher from the Dodgers on and Sean
[35:30] Speaker 1: Hayes knew nothing of who this person was. I that's
[35:33] Speaker 1: and honestly the guest is kind of delighted by that, but.
[35:36] Speaker 2: Also the listener our listeners don't know who everybody is too,
[35:40] Speaker 2: do you know what I mean? And sometimes I think
[35:41] Speaker 2: we talked to people we just go with so inside baseball,
[35:44] Speaker 2: and they don't know what's going on. They don't know
[35:46] Speaker 2: who this person is. We don't really set it up.
[35:47] Speaker 2: So I feel I kind of like that element of it.
[35:49] Speaker 2: And it was so funny, is like he knew nothing
[35:52] Speaker 2: about Charlie XX, Like I didn't really even know about
[35:56] Speaker 2: brat like that she created that whole you know what
[35:58] Speaker 2: I mean, Like it was like mind blowing to me.
[35:59] Speaker 2: But also it was just like so honest to who
[36:02] Speaker 2: he is. But anyway, so he obviously didn't know that
[36:04] Speaker 2: Charlie six is married, and the subject of kids came
[36:08] Speaker 2: about again naturally because she was talking about being an
[36:11] Speaker 2: only child, and so he was kind of like when
[36:15] Speaker 2: you have kids, are you gonna want to like have
[36:17] Speaker 2: many kids because of your experience as an only child?
[36:20] Speaker 2: And she was just she said like, oh, I don't
[36:21] Speaker 2: really want to have kids.
[36:23] Speaker 1: And then.
[36:25] Speaker 2: Jason Bateman went on to share kind of his experience.
[36:27] Speaker 2: He's like, well, you never know, like my wife didn't
[36:29] Speaker 2: want kids either until she met me, and then she
[36:31] Speaker 2: was like, oh, I could see myself having kids with
[36:33] Speaker 2: this guy, so like you might meet someone and she
[36:35] Speaker 2: was like, I'm married, and then it was like a
[36:39] Speaker 2: funny exchange.
[36:39] Speaker 1: They laughed and.
[36:40] Speaker 2: He's like, maybe your second husband might change, you know,
[36:42] Speaker 2: Like it was like a funny thing. And I think
[36:44] Speaker 2: that all these articles were kind of like, yeah, facing
[36:48] Speaker 2: backlash and.
[36:48] Speaker 1: Like oh after another criticized Grills Charlie x X, and
[36:54] Speaker 1: I'm like.
[36:54] Speaker 2: I also don't even think he was pushing pushing it
[36:57] Speaker 2: on her. He was just sharing his sperience, which is
[37:00] Speaker 2: what we all do in conversations, Like that's what conversations are,
[37:05] Speaker 2: that's what we listen to podcasts to hear people's experiences,
[37:09] Speaker 2: and in my opinion listening to it, I don't feel
[37:11] Speaker 2: like he was pushing it at all, Like he wasn't
[37:14] Speaker 2: like you should really think about that, Charlie, Like kids
[37:17] Speaker 2: are amazing, Like he wasn't doing that right, which some
[37:19] Speaker 2: people do.
[37:20] Speaker 1: And I understand why people would be upset if he
[37:22] Speaker 1: was shaming her for not wanting kids.
[37:25] Speaker 2: Yeah, but they got their clicks and so many articles written, right,
[37:30] Speaker 2: But yeah, that was like an interesting, interesting situation. But
[37:35] Speaker 2: the other hot story this week, and I was laughing
[37:40] Speaker 2: so hard because I've just been seeing so many like
[37:42] Speaker 2: tiktoks and videos about Tom Brady and Alex Earl. If
[37:46] Speaker 2: you don't know, Tom Brady is like former NFL player,
[37:49] Speaker 2: like legendary.
[37:50] Speaker 1: They call him the goat, they call him the goat,
[37:52] Speaker 1: greatest of all time.
[37:54] Speaker 2: Alex Earl is a influencer and some call her the
[37:58] Speaker 2: Goat of influencing. Okay, Okay, So they have been they've
[38:05] Speaker 2: been rumored to be hooking up after they were seen
[38:07] Speaker 2: at the super Bowl. They were also seen on years
[38:09] Speaker 2: New Year's Eve together. So for her, I'm like, this
[38:13] Speaker 2: is cool, this is iconic. It's like Tom Brady. For him,
[38:16] Speaker 2: it like it makes me feel a certain type of
[38:18] Speaker 2: way about him that I it's a creepy factor, like
[38:22] Speaker 2: how old a hold on? How old is his daughter?
[38:24] Speaker 1: Oh, let's find that out.
[38:25] Speaker 2: Tom he has a kid who's eighteen, and a kid
[38:30] Speaker 2: that's sixteen, and a kid that's thirteen, so his yeah
[38:35] Speaker 2: are closer to her age than he is. I find
[38:40] Speaker 2: it too. There's an yeah, it's not I don't know
[38:42] Speaker 2: if it's creepy. It's just giving this like energy about
[38:48] Speaker 2: Tom Brady that I just like, I don't like, yeah,
[38:52] Speaker 2: you know what I mean.
[38:55] Speaker 1: Yes, And then it's like.
[38:56] Speaker 2: George Clooney ended up settling down with like not am all,
[39:02] Speaker 2: Like no, yeah, and Mall was a perfect like it
[39:06] Speaker 2: made me think differently of George Clooney in a good way,
[39:09] Speaker 2: Like I was like, oh, he's been waiting to settle
[39:11] Speaker 2: down for this, Like she is magnificent, she's everything, she's regal, gorgeous,
[39:16] Speaker 2: she's smart. Like, yes, it made me think differently about
[39:19] Speaker 2: George clutey, Yes, in a good way. This is making
[39:22] Speaker 2: me think differently about Tom Brady.
[39:24] Speaker 1: Because you're the Leo DiCaprio's of the world. You have
[39:26] Speaker 1: a lot of these guys that prefer to date women
[39:30] Speaker 1: in their twenties, preferably early twenties, and then somehow stops
[39:33] Speaker 1: working as they approach their late twenties. Yes, yeah, that is,
[39:36] Speaker 1: You're right, And so it's just.
[39:39] Speaker 2: Making me feel a certain type of way my Tom
[39:40] Speaker 2: Brady that that I hate to see.
[39:43] Speaker 1: Do we like him in the first Did we like
[39:45] Speaker 1: him before? Every day? I did?
[39:47] Speaker 2: I did? I know him and Giselle obviously had their situation,
[39:50] Speaker 2: but like, to me, somebody that's like and I don't
[39:53] Speaker 2: even like football, but like that dedicated to their craft
[39:55] Speaker 2: and their score and like determined and like, there's there's
[39:58] Speaker 2: a lot of good in you to be that like
[40:00] Speaker 2: motivated and disciplined for so long. So I did. I
[40:04] Speaker 2: actually really liked him, but I feel like a lot
[40:06] Speaker 2: of people are like, it's a cook yeah cool in general?
[40:12] Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't know.
[40:15] Speaker 2: All right, fair enough, And uh, Kelsey Ballerini and Chase
[40:19] Speaker 2: Stokes have split up again.
[40:22] Speaker 1: Gosh, you know, if those two can't make it, is
[40:24] Speaker 1: there any hope for the rest of us?
[40:27] Speaker 2: Like one day they're together, one day they're not, then
[40:30] Speaker 2: they're back together, then they're not. I don't know, but
[40:33] Speaker 2: they She was like all giddy at the Grammys on
[40:35] Speaker 2: the red carpet talking about I know, and then poof,
[40:38] Speaker 2: they're broken up again. But you know what I found
[40:40] Speaker 2: to be interesting. Fans noticed that something might be up
[40:46] Speaker 2: when Kelsey unfollowed Chase on Instagram on February sixth, even
[40:51] Speaker 2: though he so followed her, and then there were there
[40:55] Speaker 2: was a photo of Kelsey with Madeline Kline, which.
[40:59] Speaker 1: Is she's from yep, that show, the name of the show, and.
[41:07] Speaker 2: It's like totally outer Banks Bank. Yeah, but they dated,
[41:10] Speaker 2: right Sam, Yeah, they were together for years.
[41:13] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[41:14] Speaker 2: Yeah, his ex it's it's Chased Outs. Yeah, two excess together.
[41:19] Speaker 2: They posted this photo on Instagram like the tops of
[41:21] Speaker 2: their heads kind of like holding their mouths, like like
[41:24] Speaker 2: what's the tea? So like, clearly something was said in
[41:27] Speaker 2: that conversation because now they broke up.
[41:29] Speaker 1: Mmm.
[41:31] Speaker 2: If there's anybody that listens that maybe knows a little
[41:34] Speaker 2: bit about that conversation, we would love the inside intel because.
[41:41] Speaker 1: What in the world. Yeah, we've had Chased Dooks on
[41:44] Speaker 1: the Morning Show. No, yes, we have has been in studio.
[41:48] Speaker 2: Not in studio? Was it in studio? Sam? It was zoom?
[41:51] Speaker 2: It was yeah, because I remember if he was in
[41:53] Speaker 2: the studio, Hunk like that. Sure, you never forget it.
[41:59] Speaker 1: We did Hunk week.
[42:01] Speaker 2: Yeah, let's bring it back.
[42:03] Speaker 1: Were sure? That was like twenty eleven. Yeah, it was
[42:06] Speaker 1: just there happened to be a bunch of really attractive
[42:08] Speaker 1: men on the show that week we called the hunk Week. Yeah,
[42:10] Speaker 1: that was fun.
[42:11] Speaker 2: We should bring it back.
[42:12] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[42:13] Speaker 2: But anyways, that's a little bit about That's a lot
[42:17] Speaker 2: about Chase Stokes and Kelsey Ballerini that I'm very interested in.
[42:23] Speaker 2: I really do want to know what happened there, to be.
[42:25] Speaker 1: Honest, and you might never and that's sad.
[42:27] Speaker 2: I think it'll come out.
[42:28] Speaker 1: Sure, all right, Well, how about we end the show
[42:30] Speaker 1: with the celebrity birthday game. How do you guys feel
[42:32] Speaker 1: about that?
[42:32] Speaker 2: Love a celebrity birthdays?
[42:33] Speaker 1: I haven't handy ready to play? Sam, you want to
[42:35] Speaker 1: get in on this? Sure, all right, here we go.
[42:39] Speaker 1: I'll give you a celebrity as a birthday this week,
[42:41] Speaker 1: possibly today, and you tell me how old they're turning
[42:46] Speaker 1: this week. And we have seven of them and the window.
[42:48] Speaker 2: That's a lot of birthdays this week.
[42:50] Speaker 1: Well there's plenty. I could have done more, but I
[42:52] Speaker 1: captain at seven time. It will start with you, okay,
[42:55] Speaker 1: Michael B. Jordan, he is thirty five? Thirty five? Is
[43:00] Speaker 1: it higher or lower than thirty five? Samantha?
[43:04] Speaker 2: She has to guess an age.
[43:06] Speaker 1: Oh she does. It's only two of you. I think
[43:07] Speaker 1: higher lower is easier. Come on, okay, and you'll go
[43:11] Speaker 1: back and forth.
[43:11] Speaker 2: You see Mark always changing the rules.
[43:13] Speaker 1: This is one version of the birthday game. Sam, higher
[43:16] Speaker 1: lower than thirty five?
[43:19] Speaker 2: I'm gonna say higher.
[43:20] Speaker 1: He is turning forty years? Oh yes, Creed is forty.
[43:25] Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, Sam. Yes. The Queen Jennifer Aniston has
[43:34] Speaker 1: a birthday this week? How old is she turning? Sam?
[43:38] Speaker 3: Oh, I'm going to say, Sam, I'm not. I'm so
[43:44] Speaker 3: scared to say anything offensive here. Okay, I'm gonna say
[43:53] Speaker 3: fifty eight fifty eight?
[43:54] Speaker 1: Is it higher or lower than fifty eight? Times lower?
[43:57] Speaker 1: She is turning fifty seven. Tanya gets that one. But
[44:01] Speaker 1: he was very close.
[44:03] Speaker 2: She was like thirty three.
[44:04] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, she was born in sixty nine. Whoah, Tanya?
[44:08] Speaker 1: Back to you, and you might have an advantage here
[44:09] Speaker 1: because it's a personal friend of yours. Taylor Lautner has
[44:12] Speaker 1: a birthday this week? How old is Taylor Lautner turning?
[44:16] Speaker 1: First of all, will you text Taylor Lawtoner on his birthday?
[44:18] Speaker 1: Are used that level of friend? You are? Okay? All right?
[44:20] Speaker 1: How old is he turning?
[44:22] Speaker 2: M thirty eight thirty eight?
[44:28] Speaker 1: Sam? Older or younger?
[44:31] Speaker 2: I'm gonna say younger.
[44:33] Speaker 1: He's turning thirty four. So when you do text him,
[44:35] Speaker 1: tell him you thought he was thirty eight? Hey, Sam?
[44:40] Speaker 1: Remember Brandy?
[44:42] Speaker 2: Yeah?
[44:43] Speaker 1: How old is Brandy this week?
[44:46] Speaker 2: Huh? I'm gonna say forty three, forty three higher?
[44:54] Speaker 1: Lower? Tanya forty seven years old? We are tied to two. No,
[44:59] Speaker 1: Tanya from Destiny's Child Kelly Rowland has a birthday this week?
[45:03] Speaker 1: How old is Kelly Roland turning?
