[0:00] Speaker 1: Scrubbing in with Bea Tilly and Tanya rad and iHeartRadio
[0:04] Speaker 1: and two times People's Choice Award winning podcast.
[0:10] Speaker 2: Hello everybody, we are scrubbing it.
[0:18] Speaker 3: Dear Banya, it's dear Bonia.
[0:20] Speaker 4: Who you gonna call it? Why?
[0:23] Speaker 2: Everyone said they don't need it? So I'm here for
[0:27] Speaker 2: the I'm listening to the people.
[0:29] Speaker 4: Well, I'm not listening to the people. We don't have
[0:34] Speaker 4: to play the jingle. We can create our own jingle
[0:36] Speaker 4: every time.
[0:36] Speaker 3: I don't want to hear about the jingle anymore.
[0:40] Speaker 2: They'd rather hear you say scrub a dub dub in
[0:48] Speaker 2: the top.
[0:50] Speaker 1: Question.
[0:52] Speaker 4: Fine, then I'll bring it back.
[0:55] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[0:57] Speaker 2: I know you haven't watched Grays in like five years,
[0:59] Speaker 2: but Mark, are you caught up?
[1:01] Speaker 1: Yeah?
[1:01] Speaker 2: Okay, So the other night, I you know, I've had
[1:06] Speaker 2: this theory that when I drink coffee, I can just
[1:08] Speaker 2: go to sleep after So I've never worried about when
[1:11] Speaker 2: I drink.
[1:11] Speaker 3: Coffee in the day. Okay, And I haven't had.
[1:13] Speaker 2: Coffee in a long time outside of the morning hours,
[1:17] Speaker 2: and the other day I was just like crashing in
[1:19] Speaker 2: the middle of the afternoon. So I ordered a coffee
[1:21] Speaker 2: at like four and drink it well, I was just
[1:24] Speaker 2: like wide awake. So I go and lay on the
[1:26] Speaker 2: couch because I didn't want to wake up Hailey.
[1:27] Speaker 3: And I was like, you know, I'm just gonna put
[1:30] Speaker 3: Grays on sleep.
[1:33] Speaker 1: You know, it's.
[1:34] Speaker 2: Familiar if I've all sleeping and I really miss anything.
[1:37] Speaker 2: So I put it on and I quite enjoyed the episode.
[1:40] Speaker 2: I was like, Okay, I'm not like, oh my gosh,
[1:43] Speaker 2: I'm enthralled, but I was entertained enough that I watched
[1:47] Speaker 2: the next episode.
[1:48] Speaker 1: The other day, my wife said to me, I was
[1:51] Speaker 1: watching Grace. She came in the room. You're watching Grassy, yeah,
[1:54] Speaker 1: she said I, And I said it's not great. She goes,
[1:56] Speaker 1: so why are you still watching it? And she's it's
[1:59] Speaker 1: a very good point. But I feel like, I don't know,
[2:02] Speaker 1: I get comfort from these characters I've known for so long.
[2:06] Speaker 1: There's something about the hospital. I don't know what it is.
[2:08] Speaker 4: We watched the old episodes again, because.
[2:09] Speaker 1: I would never do that. That's not my personality. Though,
[2:12] Speaker 1: just to rewatch old.
[2:13] Speaker 2: Stuff incredible, But you know what I was thinking about
[2:18] Speaker 2: that really upset me in my rage on the couch.
[2:23] Speaker 2: Why are they like it's so obvious that they're filming
[2:27] Speaker 2: in La. It's always sunny in these coffee stops, out
[2:30] Speaker 2: the coffee trailers out outside of the hospital, which they
[2:33] Speaker 2: recently introduce, and they're supposed to be in gloomy Seattle,
[2:37] Speaker 2: and it's like a beautiful sunny day every day.
[2:40] Speaker 1: I mean, that's the least of my complaints about the show,
[2:44] Speaker 1: all right.
[2:44] Speaker 2: So I saw that there was a new love interest
[2:48] Speaker 2: for Amelia, and I felt like they had a lot
[2:51] Speaker 2: of chemistry and the like teaser I saw, so I
[2:53] Speaker 2: was like, this could get me back into it, a
[2:55] Speaker 2: good relationship with chemistry because we even had that in
[2:58] Speaker 2: a minute.
[2:59] Speaker 1: Yes, but it's so okay. So she and the new
[3:02] Speaker 1: doctor they hook up in the on call room and
[3:05] Speaker 1: she just happened quick, yeah, very quickly. Do you want
[3:08] Speaker 1: to go on a date tomorrow? And she goes, Oh,
[3:11] Speaker 1: I would, but I have my son, my sun rise
[3:14] Speaker 1: yoga hike. Yeah, my sun Rise hike. That's what I
[3:17] Speaker 1: meant when I said son. Yeah, who's writing this show?
[3:23] Speaker 1: But I think I hate watching at this point. I've
[3:26] Speaker 1: never been a hate watcher, but I think I've actually
[3:28] Speaker 1: turned the corner.
[3:29] Speaker 4: Oh, so sad, I give.
[3:31] Speaker 3: To quite a few episodes before I just put this
[3:33] Speaker 3: one on.
[3:33] Speaker 2: So I was like, I think I'll catch up quick
[3:35] Speaker 2: based on how the seasons have gone recently and from
[3:39] Speaker 2: what I've seen, Teddy needs to sign the divorce papers.
[3:42] Speaker 2: We're still dragging out this divorce, but she needs to
[3:44] Speaker 2: sign the divorce papers.
[3:45] Speaker 3: But every time she's going to do.
[3:46] Speaker 4: It talking about divorce.
[3:48] Speaker 2: Last time I wted well, guess what it's still going on.
[3:56] Speaker 2: They have this conversation and he's encouraging her for this
[3:59] Speaker 2: big surgery she's doing, and then she has to do
[4:01] Speaker 2: it and he needs to watch the kids or whatever.
[4:03] Speaker 2: So she gets home and she's like, thanks for watching
[4:04] Speaker 2: the kids and thanks for you know, supporting me, even
[4:07] Speaker 2: though I was like, rude to you.
[4:09] Speaker 1: Give me hook up.
[4:11] Speaker 3: They start making out and I'm like, I'm done that.
[4:15] Speaker 1: I don't gut. They have to the producers that you
[4:18] Speaker 1: have to know we're not big fans of those two together,
[4:21] Speaker 1: So why you had an out? It was over, they
[4:24] Speaker 1: split up, and now you're gonna put him together again.
[4:27] Speaker 1: I'm not interested.
[4:28] Speaker 3: I'm bored.
[4:30] Speaker 1: I'm way more interested in Teddy Altman and Sophia Bush
[4:34] Speaker 1: much more interesting.
[4:35] Speaker 3: Give me that and give me this w l W show.
[4:44] Speaker 1: Will be good, and no one can go date whoever
[4:46] Speaker 1: he wants to date.
[4:47] Speaker 3: I don't care he can go.
[4:49] Speaker 1: I don't care.
[4:52] Speaker 2: Dis Switzerland and I would watch that from my girl Sandra.
[4:56] Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I'd be back. I'd lock in locked and
[5:01] Speaker 3: then Joe and Link. I'm just so irritating.
[5:05] Speaker 1: Link as a secret man cave. It's a house that
[5:08] Speaker 1: he rents out and nobody's living there right now, so
[5:11] Speaker 1: he goes there to escape from the tzin the Twins, and.
[5:15] Speaker 2: Joe's at home just like almost died and is watching
[5:18] Speaker 2: the kids and he's in his man.
[5:20] Speaker 1: Cave with beers and his guitar.
[5:23] Speaker 3: It's as bad as it sounds.
[5:26] Speaker 2: I need Camilla to come on and I just need
[5:28] Speaker 2: to ask, like, what's happening?
[5:30] Speaker 3: What happened YI?
[5:33] Speaker 2: Anyway, So that's a little bit about where I'm at.
[5:36] Speaker 2: And I got a crick in my neck from sleeping
[5:37] Speaker 2: on the cap. I got punished for watching Grays.
[5:42] Speaker 4: You know what they don't tell you about aging, the
[5:44] Speaker 4: crick the creiks and the cracks and the crinkles.
[5:48] Speaker 3: Oh my gosh. People didn't know what a creek was.
[5:51] Speaker 3: They were like, I call it a king.
[5:53] Speaker 1: Different parts of the country have different words for that.
[5:55] Speaker 2: We've just always called it a crick and it's I
[5:57] Speaker 2: cannot look to my this side really hurt. This side
[6:01] Speaker 2: is tender.
[6:02] Speaker 4: When we came back from the Bahamas, my lower back
[6:04] Speaker 4: was hurting from like just laying down I guess, or
[6:07] Speaker 4: just like sitting down for so long. And because I
[6:10] Speaker 4: don't know when I when we flew there, I was
[6:12] Speaker 4: like sleeping on the chairs of the airport, so like
[6:14] Speaker 4: my back was like it just was not good. And
[6:19] Speaker 4: somebody was telling me, They're like, yeah, every morning when
[6:21] Speaker 4: I wake up, I stretch. I was like, well, who
[6:24] Speaker 4: started doing that? And when do you start doing that?
[6:26] Speaker 5: Because nobody told me this, but you don't stretch anyway?
[6:29] Speaker 1: Up never feels I know that's true.
[6:33] Speaker 4: I know, but you know what, I started doing the
[6:36] Speaker 4: vibration plate that like everybody.
[6:37] Speaker 3: Was posting about.
[6:38] Speaker 4: Do you like it messed up my back? Sure enough?
[6:41] Speaker 4: I text my chiropractor, Hey, doctor J, like, my lower
[6:46] Speaker 4: back's been like acting up. He's like, did you make
[6:48] Speaker 4: any changes, like when you're doing the vibration ration play
[6:51] Speaker 4: every morning? He goes, yeah, it's not great for the
[6:53] Speaker 4: disks in your back. Who told me that? Nobody on TikTok.
[6:57] Speaker 4: I just slipped right out dis right when it's laden.
[7:02] Speaker 4: Nobody's telling me that on TikTok. They're just showing me
[7:05] Speaker 4: all the benefits of your lymphatic system and the high
[7:08] Speaker 4: you get from it. But nobody's telling you about the
[7:10] Speaker 4: back pains I come along.
[7:12] Speaker 3: I haven't mentioned those. The spoiler alert.
[7:14] Speaker 4: If you are interested in getting one of those vibration plates,
[7:17] Speaker 4: make sure your back is in good shape.
[7:19] Speaker 3: It's not. Actually, yeah, I have a crick a kink.
[7:25] Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a pain where you can't look right or
[7:27] Speaker 2: left comfortably.
[7:28] Speaker 3: And that's what you need day rex, the whole day.
[7:33] Speaker 2: So anyways, Yeah, the creeks and the cracks do be coming.
[7:36] Speaker 2: They hit you, yark, And I'm sorry if you're uthaful
[7:39] Speaker 2: and not experiencing this listening to this, but it does.
[7:42] Speaker 3: I always hit you fast.
[7:43] Speaker 2: I always thought when people talked about this, I was like,
[7:45] Speaker 2: oh my gosh, like people just need to like stretch
[7:48] Speaker 2: and work out and they don't need just you won't
[7:51] Speaker 2: have those issues, but you do.
[7:55] Speaker 3: You stretch, I don't do anything, So of course I
[7:58] Speaker 3: have issues, But you have issues. You don't, I know,
[8:02] Speaker 3: Haley can't.
[8:03] Speaker 2: Did you see the video of Haley trying to reach
[8:05] Speaker 2: her hold her feet.
[8:06] Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, I was peeing my pants watching that
[8:10] Speaker 4: and I didn't even have sound on.
[8:13] Speaker 3: This sounds actually really fun.
[8:14] Speaker 4: I need to go back and listen to a sound.
[8:16] Speaker 2: She had scoliosis as a as a child and had
[8:19] Speaker 2: to wear a back brace, so her back is already
[8:22] Speaker 2: just like not great. But I was like, we need
[8:23] Speaker 2: to tap into some yoga moves or something.
[8:26] Speaker 3: This is this is serious.
[8:27] Speaker 4: It was tight.
[8:28] Speaker 3: When she went to.
[8:28] Speaker 2: Bend down, her knee cracks so loud. It was like, damn,
[8:33] Speaker 2: this is Startnald.
[8:34] Speaker 4: Tom he wants to try that with me?
[8:36] Speaker 3: By the way, y'all could do it, Oh definitely.
[8:39] Speaker 2: But we tried to do one where I was on
[8:41] Speaker 2: the bottom of shoes lifting me and it does hurt.
[8:44] Speaker 3: You gotta lock in your everything.
[8:46] Speaker 4: I don't know.
[8:47] Speaker 3: Those girls made it look too easy.
[8:48] Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, we have a quick transition. So, uh, who
[8:53] Speaker 4: you gonna call with the question on? Yeah, I have
[8:59] Speaker 4: an idea, dear Bonya nice.
[9:03] Speaker 5: I don't want to bully you're the jingle thing too much,
[9:05] Speaker 5: but what about doing this? Have we discussed a little.
[9:08] Speaker 1: Paging doctor Tillian, doctor Redd.
[9:11] Speaker 2: They did say they missed that stuff more than the jingle.
[9:14] Speaker 4: Well, we could make that our new thing, but we.
[9:17] Speaker 3: Don't need to be doctor Tilly and doctor Ratt.
[9:19] Speaker 1: Correct.
[9:20] Speaker 5: Yeah, you haven't earned that yet.
[9:22] Speaker 3: Sorry, we actually lost that. Yeah we lost it. Yeah, okay,
[9:27] Speaker 3: but we are going to do Dear Bonia, so shall
[9:30] Speaker 3: we just kick it right off?
[9:31] Speaker 1: Here we go from anonymous Dear Banya and Mesten. I'm
[9:34] Speaker 1: a thirty one year old single, independent woman looking for
[9:37] Speaker 1: my future husband. I finally decided to give a guy
[9:39] Speaker 1: at the gym a chance when on a first date.
[9:42] Speaker 1: Am I being too picky? That is her question? Am
[9:44] Speaker 1: I being too picky? He's twenty five? All right, she's
[9:48] Speaker 1: thirty one. And as we talked on our date, he
[9:50] Speaker 1: asked me a lot of insightful questions to which I
[9:52] Speaker 1: would give thoughtful, deep answers to. When I flipped the
[9:56] Speaker 1: question back on him, he had nothing. He gets up,
[9:59] Speaker 1: he goes to the gym, goes to work, he goes
[10:00] Speaker 1: to bed. He has no hobbies, he has no friends.
[10:02] Speaker 1: I think he hates that I have a dog. Am
[10:05] Speaker 1: I wrong for one? To write him off?
[10:07] Speaker 2: Or?
[10:07] Speaker 1: Do I give him another chance? Two years ago, I
[10:09] Speaker 1: under a three year situationship and have been spending a
[10:11] Speaker 1: lot of time creating the best version of myself. I
[10:14] Speaker 1: don't want to have someone cling on to me because
[10:16] Speaker 1: I have a life and he doesn't. I want a
[10:18] Speaker 1: partner who's going to grow with me, but also has
[10:20] Speaker 1: their own hobbies and interests that excite them. As I
[10:23] Speaker 1: heard someone say recently, my husband is not the most
[10:26] Speaker 1: exciting thing about me, and I believe this. So what
[10:29] Speaker 1: do I do? Longtime listener, looking forward to hearing your
[10:32] Speaker 1: advice from a hopeless romantic looking for her forever.
[10:36] Speaker 4: Well, hobbies are overrated.
[10:39] Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, No way, no way.
[10:41] Speaker 4: What hobbies do you have?
[10:43] Speaker 3: I don't care about mine?
[10:44] Speaker 4: Well, exactly, No, this is a point.
[10:47] Speaker 3: No, No, I has hobbies, I have friends.
[10:50] Speaker 4: I like to travel, I love to go eat, I
[10:52] Speaker 4: get some friends.
[10:53] Speaker 2: No, I think he's gonna be I get what she's saying.
[10:56] Speaker 2: He's going to cling on to her and everything will
[10:58] Speaker 2: be what she likes. She wants some one who has
[11:00] Speaker 2: their own life, like I love doing everything with Haley,
[11:04] Speaker 2: and I am totally independent to do whatever I want
[11:07] Speaker 2: by myself, And you want to meet someone who is
[11:12] Speaker 2: independent in that regard.
[11:13] Speaker 4: I'm just saying not having hobbies does not make him
[11:18] Speaker 4: not have his own life.
[11:19] Speaker 3: But you want to be able to have a conversation.
[11:20] Speaker 4: She's a sentence when she said what he does in
[11:24] Speaker 4: his day? Where was that mark?
[11:25] Speaker 3: He has no hobbies, doesn't go out with friends, et cetera.
[11:27] Speaker 1: He goes to the gym, he goes to work, he
[11:30] Speaker 1: goes to bed.
[11:30] Speaker 4: Sounds like my day and I love me and she
[11:34] Speaker 4: thinks he low key. I think I'm a great partner.
[11:38] Speaker 4: That literally exactly me, But that sentence is me. I
[11:42] Speaker 4: get up, you go to ares, I go home, I
[11:44] Speaker 4: make my egg pods, and I go to bed like.
[11:46] Speaker 2: That's my day, But that wasn't your day when you
[11:49] Speaker 2: were dating you?
[11:51] Speaker 4: Why I cleaned my makeup brushes on Friday night? I
[11:54] Speaker 4: was not much cooler when I was single. Like, I
[11:57] Speaker 4: think you got to give this guy.
[11:59] Speaker 3: She's cool. Sounds she's cooler than you. Sounds like she's
[12:03] Speaker 3: got a lot more going on.
[12:04] Speaker 1: See, but here's I feel like she's trying to find
[12:07] Speaker 1: negatives about this guy's thing about it because you can
[12:09] Speaker 1: twist these. He goes to the gym, crazyself. That's good,
[12:13] Speaker 1: works ten to seven every day. That's commitment. He's a
[12:15] Speaker 1: provider's his career for the job.
[12:18] Speaker 4: Do you know many people want people with jobs? Continue Mark,
[12:21] Speaker 4: who doesn't go out with his friends.
[12:22] Speaker 1: You don't want an alcoholic always out there partying, going.
[12:28] Speaker 4: The friends always sway.
[12:31] Speaker 1: Guys, guy friends are the worst.
[12:34] Speaker 3: This is terrible advice.
[12:36] Speaker 2: I say, girl, find someone that you want to have,
[12:38] Speaker 2: that can have it on the first few days at least,
[12:41] Speaker 2: pretend to have interesting conversations and deep answers. You want
[12:47] Speaker 2: any low he hates your dog, red flag immediately get out.
[12:51] Speaker 1: The deep answers thing would be nice if you can
[12:54] Speaker 1: carry on a decent conversation. But he had insightful questions.
[12:57] Speaker 1: That's positive.
[12:58] Speaker 4: And he's twenty five. A couple of years is an oof.
[13:00] Speaker 4: It's gonna ripen up real nice.
[13:02] Speaker 5: Does he go to bed at seven? When he gets home? Like,
[13:04] Speaker 5: I'm so curious what he's doing between work and bed.
[13:06] Speaker 1: That's probably like.
[13:07] Speaker 4: Meal prepping and like showering and watching a little Paradise.
[13:13] Speaker 3: Boring.
[13:14] Speaker 2: I'm yeah, I say move on. Being too picky is okay?
[13:21] Speaker 1: You know I agree with that. But is he super hot?
[13:24] Speaker 1: Like maybe that's an element year She doesn't mention that,
[13:26] Speaker 1: but maybe he's younger.
[13:28] Speaker 4: He's going to bring a youthful spirit when he's when
[13:30] Speaker 4: he's thirty, you're gonna be I can do this.
[13:34] Speaker 2: Six He has no friends. He has no friends at
[13:37] Speaker 2: twenty five when he should. This should be where he's thriving.
[13:42] Speaker 1: I think give him a few more dates.
[13:43] Speaker 3: I do too.
[13:44] Speaker 4: Okay, car from Love is from Love Island what nobody
[13:50] Speaker 4: understands them on?
[13:52] Speaker 1: All right, the next one, we're going to tease. It's
[13:54] Speaker 1: about friendship boundaries. Oh boy, something you guys said in
[13:59] Speaker 1: the Bahamas made think about her friends and her boundaries,
[14:01] Speaker 1: and we're gonna get into that. We're gonna dig deep.
[14:05] Speaker 1: Coming up right after this, how about about Oh I'm
[14:30] Speaker 1: not sure who won that one? That was like the
[14:31] Speaker 1: La Marathon right there?
[14:33] Speaker 4: Oh yeah, so crazy and so crazy.
[14:36] Speaker 1: All right, this is from ray she listened to the
[14:40] Speaker 1: tube changes everything. The second episode from Baja mar And
[14:43] Speaker 1: there's a question about friends and boundaries. Quick story, quick question.
[14:47] Speaker 1: I'm a thirty eight year old first time mom and
[14:49] Speaker 1: I had a friend who left my literal baby announcement
[14:52] Speaker 1: on red. She could have just hearted the photo, give
[14:56] Speaker 1: me a little bread crumb of friendship, but no acknowledgement whatsoever.
[15:00] Speaker 1: My baby is now eight weeks old and I still
[15:02] Speaker 1: haven't heard from her. Where's the line where we have
[15:06] Speaker 1: to give grace to our friends, knowing they may struggle
[15:08] Speaker 1: with be overwhelmed by time blindness, decision fatigued, while also
[15:12] Speaker 1: respecting yourself. You deserve to have friends to show up
[15:14] Speaker 1: for you and want to make you feel loved and
[15:16] Speaker 1: that your news matters. Would love to hear any thoughts
[15:18] Speaker 1: or advice you have when it comes to navigating texting
[15:20] Speaker 1: relationships with friends. Love you, guys from Ray.
[15:24] Speaker 2: I am offended that I'm being compared to the eye
[15:27] Speaker 2: am inspiring the thought process of the friend who didn't
[15:31] Speaker 2: even acknowledge the baby announcement.
[15:38] Speaker 3: You know, I, even though I read a lot, you
[15:43] Speaker 3: are left on red a lot, but not for important things.
[15:46] Speaker 1: I think Tiny's definition of important things is different than yours.
[15:49] Speaker 2: Yeah, it's timeline, and I guarantee if I did a
[15:52] Speaker 2: poll on what important things or we know where.
[15:55] Speaker 4: There's a fine line.
[15:57] Speaker 2: But I would never leave you on red for a
[16:00] Speaker 2: baby announcement or a big life event as such. If
[16:04] Speaker 2: you go, guess what and I don't respond because I
[16:07] Speaker 2: know you'll go.
[16:07] Speaker 3: When you're something crazy. I knew my period was coming
[16:13] Speaker 3: this month, and it came. It came on the day
[16:18] Speaker 3: that I was feeling that story. Okay, very impressing anyway,
[16:25] Speaker 3: like leaving you on.
[16:27] Speaker 4: Red for that is fair saying I could see you
[16:29] Speaker 4: leaving me on red for like saying I'm pregnant or
[16:33] Speaker 4: something that is such a.
[16:35] Speaker 3: Bull and you're just trying to get me fired up.
[16:41] Speaker 4: No, because if I said it in like that way,
[16:43] Speaker 4: if I said, like a guess what, and then you
[16:45] Speaker 4: would just like leave me hanging there, and then I
[16:47] Speaker 4: would never pay it off because you would never ask
[16:49] Speaker 4: me what.
[16:49] Speaker 2: You would never give me a guess what for a
[16:52] Speaker 2: pregnancy announcement.
[16:53] Speaker 3: You never know, And don't take advantage of me.
[16:56] Speaker 2: Don't be boy who cried wolf, because if you keep
[16:58] Speaker 2: going guess what, guess what, and I keep answering and
[17:00] Speaker 2: it's still period things, it is going to get left
[17:04] Speaker 2: on red because you took advantage of my curiosity.
[17:08] Speaker 4: All I'm saying is Ray, I understand you.
[17:10] Speaker 2: Oh my god, ray, this this is not her friend.
[17:15] Speaker 2: And whether if you want to know why she's not
[17:18] Speaker 2: responsive or say like, hey, I don't know if you
[17:21] Speaker 2: have things going on in your life, but it hurt
[17:23] Speaker 2: my feelings that I, you know, told you something that's
[17:28] Speaker 2: so exciting and meaningful and you didn't respond. I think
[17:31] Speaker 2: that's a valid conversation to have. And if she doesn't
[17:34] Speaker 2: respond to that, then it's time to say friends for
[17:38] Speaker 2: a season and a reason.
[17:40] Speaker 3: What are you smiling about?
[17:42] Speaker 4: There's two paths you can take with my God. The
[17:44] Speaker 4: one beca is saying where you can head on, hey, like,
[17:49] Speaker 4: have a conversationalization, which I have done with you before.
[17:52] Speaker 3: Yes, and it works. Yes.
[17:54] Speaker 4: However, passive aggressiveness also works, Tonya.
[17:57] Speaker 3: This is a bad habit that you don't need to
[18:01] Speaker 3: give advice on it to share on.
[18:04] Speaker 2: You need to work through it yourself, and we don't
[18:06] Speaker 2: need other people to be.
[18:07] Speaker 3: Being passive aggressive.
[18:08] Speaker 4: Sometimes it works so aggressive, I don't know, because she's
[18:13] Speaker 4: not really giving you much to work with here. So
[18:17] Speaker 4: sometimes when Becca's being silent, I'll give her the silent
[18:19] Speaker 4: treatment back.
[18:20] Speaker 2: Unfortunately, it doesn't do anything for me. I just I
[18:24] Speaker 2: just know, and I'm like, oh, she's mad, all right,
[18:27] Speaker 2: I have to get in her good graces again.
[18:29] Speaker 4: And then and then we suddenly end up at dinner.
[18:31] Speaker 3: Yeah, so it works.
[18:33] Speaker 4: All I'm saying. Ray two paths.
[18:35] Speaker 2: I think you have a conversation. Let her know that
[18:38] Speaker 2: that hurt your feelings and that you can understand that
[18:40] Speaker 2: she has things going on, but for big life events,
[18:43] Speaker 2: you know you want her to be excited and.
[18:46] Speaker 4: Maybe send it again double text, riple text, who cares?
[18:48] Speaker 1: Or just move on? Can just move on?
[18:50] Speaker 4: Well, if it's a really good friend, my best friend.
[18:53] Speaker 1: How good a friend is this? If she ignores your
[18:55] Speaker 1: birth announcement, live your life?
[18:58] Speaker 4: What is a birth announcement?
[18:59] Speaker 3: I think saying I'm pregnant, showing a photo.
[19:04] Speaker 4: Of your baby on the message.
[19:05] Speaker 3: Yeah, look I had my baby. Imagine you sent me
[19:08] Speaker 3: I had my baby. Imagine I wouldn't know.
[19:11] Speaker 4: You're taking pictures in the room.
[19:13] Speaker 2: Yeah we can't relate because I'll be in the room
[19:20] Speaker 2: my baby out.
[19:22] Speaker 3: Okay, wes that?
[19:25] Speaker 2: But Ray, I think a true she's not a true friend,
[19:29] Speaker 2: and I think, GUF, she's someone you need that you
[19:31] Speaker 2: really want your life, then you have a conversation. If
[19:33] Speaker 2: she's someone that you're okay not having in your life,
[19:36] Speaker 2: you move on.
[19:38] Speaker 3: That's my advice. You deserve. We're so happy for Send
[19:42] Speaker 3: us a photo of the baby.
[19:42] Speaker 4: I want to see a baby eight week old baby.
[19:45] Speaker 3: Oh so good? Yeah, send her over him.
[19:49] Speaker 1: Her they the boy girl didn't say Jazzy, says Hi,
[19:54] Speaker 1: Becca Easton, Tanya and Mark? Could you have Easton all right?
[19:59] Speaker 1: I'm meaning to I didn't ask this question that pops
[20:01] Speaker 1: in my mind. I started listening to the podcast after
[20:03] Speaker 1: the official Becca and Haley relationship reveal. I've listened to
[20:06] Speaker 1: most episodes since then, have occasionally listened to older episodes.
[20:09] Speaker 1: Did I miss the conversation about when Mark and Easton
[20:12] Speaker 1: found out about Becca and Haley dating and what their
[20:14] Speaker 1: reaction was Listening to some mentions of Haley before the
[20:18] Speaker 1: ninety five p nickname from some of the eighteen nineteen episodes,
[20:21] Speaker 1: They say or ask things that make me think they
[20:23] Speaker 1: didn't know. Also, after listening to the recent episode, Rebecca
[20:27] Speaker 1: casually mentions Haley's mom being a figure skating choreographer. Trailblazer
[20:32] Speaker 1: icon Z Sarah Kawahara is an O G modern woman.
[20:37] Speaker 1: Can we get her on the pod? She's a legend.
[20:40] Speaker 1: We'd love to hear her thoughts on the American skaters
[20:42] Speaker 1: and all her personal career accomplishments. PS. It was me
[20:46] Speaker 1: asking if we were getting trolled about the jingle ha
[20:48] Speaker 1: ha ha. Love you guys. Maybe it's time to phone
[20:51] Speaker 1: a friend or fiance. Love the podcast. Thanks for being
[20:54] Speaker 1: so gracious and positive with the feedback you get from listeners.
[20:56] Speaker 1: We want the podcast to be as impactful in the
[20:58] Speaker 1: podcast world as it is to scrubbers. Thank you guys.
[21:01] Speaker 2: That's so nice. Yeah, Haley's mom is a legend. She's
[21:05] Speaker 2: like if you mentioned her in the ice skating world,
[21:07] Speaker 2: everyone knows her.
[21:08] Speaker 3: It's pretty crazy and it's really cool.
[21:10] Speaker 2: It was fun because, like we watch a lot of
[21:12] Speaker 2: the Winter Olympics ice skating and it was fun to
[21:15] Speaker 2: like watch.
[21:15] Speaker 3: Them with her and hear her opinions on everything. I
[21:17] Speaker 3: try to get her on.
[21:18] Speaker 4: The plus see if she's available for the podcater on
[21:20] Speaker 4: the schedule, get on the books.
[21:21] Speaker 2: Yeah wait, I feel like y'all knew quite early on
[21:26] Speaker 2: about me and Haley.
[21:28] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[21:29] Speaker 5: My favorite moment from that was if you go back
[21:32] Speaker 5: and listen to this was so early. It was just
[21:35] Speaker 5: you and I and we're interviewing the people from the sandlot.
[21:38] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I remember that.
[21:42] Speaker 5: Yeah, it was a lot of fun. But you had
[21:44] Speaker 5: gone on tour with Haley at that point, uh huh,
[21:47] Speaker 5: and you were telling and you're like, yeah, I got
[21:49] Speaker 5: to sleep on the bus. It was so cool, and
[21:50] Speaker 5: I was like, wow, how cool. What a good friend
[21:52] Speaker 5: to have. And I had no idea.
[21:57] Speaker 3: I wonder when that was. That must have been like
[21:59] Speaker 3: really early, because in my mind, I felt like y'all
[22:01] Speaker 3: knew within the first few months.
[22:02] Speaker 1: I remember a stretch of knowing you were dating someone
[22:05] Speaker 1: but not knowing who. I don't remember that happening, but
[22:07] Speaker 1: maybe it did.
[22:08] Speaker 4: Oh you always know, was Haley.
[22:09] Speaker 3: That's I'm saying. I don't think I was ever dating
[22:12] Speaker 3: someone Like.
[22:13] Speaker 2: I don't think I ever talked about dating someone without
[22:16] Speaker 2: y'all knowing that who It was.
[22:17] Speaker 1: Right, because we kind of had to know so we
[22:19] Speaker 1: could avoid pronouns.
[22:20] Speaker 4: And that was the biggest challenge Ricky as.
[22:24] Speaker 3: We did it for years, almost four years.
[22:27] Speaker 5: So it was June twenty eighteen, was that Sandlot?
[22:30] Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, yeah.
[22:34] Speaker 2: I feel like y'all may have found out in like July,
[22:37] Speaker 2: because that was when she performed with Taylor Swift and.
[22:43] Speaker 3: I came home from it and I think I was
[22:46] Speaker 3: I don't know, I was upset about something and I
[22:48] Speaker 3: feel like I.
[22:48] Speaker 2: Told y'all about it because I remember crying and I
[22:50] Speaker 2: was like I was like having a hard time, and
[22:53] Speaker 2: I was. I think I told y'all about it that time,
[22:56] Speaker 2: so I feel like from twenty eighteen y'all knew.
[23:00] Speaker 4: Yeah, I feel like when you were telling people, you
[23:03] Speaker 4: were telling people it.
[23:04] Speaker 3: Was bad reaction.
[23:05] Speaker 2: So I think I would come in as like comfort
[23:08] Speaker 2: from y'all. Like I think I told y'all like knowing
[23:11] Speaker 2: that y'all were going to be supportive, and so it
[23:13] Speaker 2: was like a comfort to tell y'all. I never felt
[23:15] Speaker 2: like the people that were consistently in my life had
[23:19] Speaker 2: I hid it from anyone. I don't know what I'm
[23:20] Speaker 2: saying either, but yeah, we did the pronoun thing for
[23:24] Speaker 2: long years.
[23:25] Speaker 1: Yeah, you gotta be careful because by avoiding the pronoun,
[23:27] Speaker 1: you can draw attention to the fact that you're avoiding
[23:29] Speaker 1: a pronoun to I just have to be so careful.
[23:32] Speaker 1: Every story I.
[23:33] Speaker 3: Told I was like restructuring the sentence you.
[23:38] Speaker 4: Any time I asked you anything, it was like, I
[23:40] Speaker 4: was that was hard on my brain.
[23:42] Speaker 3: Yeah, honestly, everyone.
[23:45] Speaker 4: That for four years.
[23:47] Speaker 2: Yeah, well, we'd do it for ninety five p didn't
[23:51] Speaker 2: it start till twenty twenty, which is when we did
[23:54] Speaker 2: the live show.
[23:55] Speaker 4: And then we just started calling Haley ninety five p Yeah, which.
[23:58] Speaker 2: Was the first time we kind of started talking about it.
[24:01] Speaker 5: Yeah, I remember, yeah that he I'm just looking back
[24:04] Speaker 5: at my notes. I have notes from August thirty first,
[24:05] Speaker 5: twenty twenty, and there's like five different pronoun moments and
[24:08] Speaker 5: then part like, Jesus is this is so hardout pronounce.
[24:14] Speaker 1: It was?
[24:14] Speaker 3: It was a challenge. So I really thank y'all for that.
[24:19] Speaker 2: Yeah, and I think you we also want the podcast
[24:23] Speaker 2: to be as impactful in the podcast the world.
[24:25] Speaker 3: As it is to you all. Yes, we just hear
[24:27] Speaker 3: about y'all, so we want you all to be happy.
[24:32] Speaker 3: That's this. It's just funny that this whole dear Bonia
[24:35] Speaker 3: thing that I started the episode saying, like they don't
[24:38] Speaker 3: want from the script.
[24:41] Speaker 4: It's a real three sixty for Jazzy.
[24:43] Speaker 3: Yeah, Jazzy, I hear you and I see you. Okay.
[24:50] Speaker 2: I like this question about bot mitzvah questions because I
[24:53] Speaker 2: don't know much about I'm learning through you.
[24:55] Speaker 4: Yeah, you just found out what Shabbat was, which was, yeah,
[24:59] Speaker 4: so interesting.
[25:00] Speaker 2: So it's crazy because I grew up in the South obviously,
[25:04] Speaker 2: and I was not surrounded by many Jewish people at all,
[25:06] Speaker 2: so I know nothing about like I really only knew
[25:09] Speaker 2: about my beliefs and my culture.
[25:12] Speaker 3: And like that was it.
[25:14] Speaker 2: So then when I moved out here, I started meeting
[25:17] Speaker 2: people obviously from like all different walks of life and
[25:20] Speaker 2: beliefs and cultures. And then Haley and I were talking
[25:23] Speaker 2: about it, and She's like, almost all my friends growing.
[25:26] Speaker 3: Up were Jewish.
[25:26] Speaker 2: So I went to all the bar mitzvahs and bot mitzvahs,
[25:29] Speaker 2: and like, she knows everything in the Jewish culture.
[25:31] Speaker 3: So I feel like I'm like learning.
[25:33] Speaker 4: Like you I grew up. I mean, I guess where
[25:36] Speaker 4: I grew up in Orange County. I didn't really grow
[25:38] Speaker 4: up with many Jewish people at my high school. Yeah,
[25:41] Speaker 4: so I never went to a bought mitzvah until recently
[25:45] Speaker 4: as an adult.
[25:46] Speaker 1: Well, I Wisconsin. I grew up in Monona, Wisconsin, and no,
[25:52] Speaker 1: not only were they no Jewish people, like I heard
[25:54] Speaker 1: about Jewish people, but it seemed like this far away
[25:57] Speaker 1: things like interact with Jewish people. Well, that's like the
[26:00] Speaker 1: other side of the world thing. And then I went
[26:02] Speaker 1: to college in Madison, which is literally eight miles from Monona,
[26:06] Speaker 1: and a huge population of the University of Wisconsin is
[26:09] Speaker 1: Jewish and that that was my education. That's when I
[26:11] Speaker 1: learned I can count to tend in Hebrew. I learned
[26:17] Speaker 1: very much. No, thanks to my friend Josh.
[26:20] Speaker 4: You best believe I'm going to be going to a
[26:22] Speaker 4: little taking some lessons with a rabbi.
[26:25] Speaker 3: Yeah, I just love it. I love like I love this.
[26:31] Speaker 2: Email from the scrubber because I love people wanting to
[26:34] Speaker 2: expose their kids to other religions and cultures, because the
[26:39] Speaker 2: world makes up so many different belief systems, and it's
[26:43] Speaker 2: like to only know or like learn about your own
[26:46] Speaker 2: is so limiting for yourself.
[26:48] Speaker 3: So I love that. Well, you can go ahead and
[26:50] Speaker 3: read that.
[26:51] Speaker 1: Sure. Thank you so much, Kristin, Banya and Marston on
[26:54] Speaker 1: this one, thank you so much. This is more of
[26:56] Speaker 1: a fun question for Tanya. My son's invited to a
[26:58] Speaker 1: bought mitzvah. I'm so excited I did for him to
[27:00] Speaker 1: be exposed to other religions and traditions, but we have
[27:02] Speaker 1: never been to anything like this. Instead of asking shat GPT,
[27:06] Speaker 1: I was hoping Ton you could give me some tips.
[27:07] Speaker 1: What does you wear? What kind of a gift does
[27:09] Speaker 1: he give to her? What is the evening like? Any
[27:11] Speaker 1: info you give can be helpful. Thank you so much.
[27:14] Speaker 1: It's Kristin.
[27:15] Speaker 4: So I wouldn't consider myself an expert considering I'm rk.
[27:19] Speaker 4: You might know more considering I've only been to a handful,
[27:23] Speaker 4: but i'd say what your son should wear. I think
[27:27] Speaker 4: most of the kids I see they wear like buttoned
[27:30] Speaker 4: downs and slacks and like, you know, maybe sneakers or
[27:32] Speaker 4: nice shoes, like more, you know, a little more dressed up.
[27:36] Speaker 4: In terms of a gift, we always just give like cash,
[27:40] Speaker 4: I think is that and like a little bit more
[27:43] Speaker 4: than you would give than like a birthday gift, you
[27:46] Speaker 4: know what I mean, like a little bit more than
[27:47] Speaker 4: you would give for like a gift, because this is
[27:49] Speaker 4: like the big birthday, you know, and then uh, what
[27:56] Speaker 4: is the evening? Like it could be? I mean I've
[28:00] Speaker 4: been to some that are like near pond and water,
[28:05] Speaker 4: and then I've been to some that are like dance
[28:07] Speaker 4: parties like glow sticks and like the people that are
[28:10] Speaker 4: you know, like like total just dance parties. Yeah, so
[28:13] Speaker 4: I don't really know. I mean I think it just
[28:15] Speaker 4: depends on like the family.
[28:16] Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's all it's a party, right, It's not
[28:19] Speaker 2: like serious. Once you get to the party.
[28:21] Speaker 4: There's like a ceremony portion and then there's like a
[28:23] Speaker 4: party portion. Yeah, kind of like a wedding. Oh, like
[28:26] Speaker 4: that's the reception kind of.
[28:28] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[28:28] Speaker 4: And they're often as expensive as a wedding too, Yeah,
[28:31] Speaker 4: depending on like some like some can be like very.
[28:34] Speaker 1: Big, big deal big deals. But I think the over
[28:37] Speaker 1: arching concept of this conversation we're having is it is
[28:40] Speaker 1: great to learn about these other cultures because that's the
[28:42] Speaker 1: issues of the world in a nutshell. In my opinion
[28:45] Speaker 1: is that you know, when I was growing up, people
[28:48] Speaker 1: don't there are people who don't celebrate Christmas. That was
[28:51] Speaker 1: so weird to me. And that's weird. Those people are weird,
[28:54] Speaker 1: and then you meet them, like, oh, they're people like me,
[28:56] Speaker 1: and we all like similar things and we're all similar ale.
[28:59] Speaker 4: Yeah, And you know what's actually I didn't know much
[29:01] Speaker 4: about like the Jewish holidays, and like they're very like
[29:07] Speaker 4: there's some that are so meaningful and sweet and they're
[29:09] Speaker 4: all about like just like bringing your family together at
[29:11] Speaker 4: the end of the day, you know. So I really
[29:13] Speaker 4: I love the Jewish holidays.
[29:14] Speaker 2: That's what I was gonna say. A lot of it
[29:16] Speaker 2: when I've asked Tanya about it. It's like, it's about
[29:19] Speaker 2: togetherness and being together with your family and the people
[29:22] Speaker 2: you love.
[29:23] Speaker 3: And I'm like, how it's beautiful.
[29:25] Speaker 2: Yeah, but yeah, I love I love people exposing it's
[29:28] Speaker 2: it's it's a It only benefits your child to expose
[29:31] Speaker 2: them to more, otherwise they grow up like me, and
[29:34] Speaker 2: they're like.
[29:35] Speaker 3: What, all right? Shall we finish the episode?
[29:46] Speaker 1: I think we should take a break and notice on
[29:55] Speaker 1: the birthday game. I'm on it. Let's do it.
[29:58] Speaker 6: Coming up next, we're back, no competition, none.
[30:23] Speaker 1: Before we get to the birthday game, the celebrity whatever
[30:27] Speaker 1: birthday game, Anika says, Dear Becca, Tanya, Mark, and Easton.
[30:30] Speaker 1: I thought you'd find this funny. On Valentine's Day, my
[30:32] Speaker 1: boyfriend and I worked together. He drove me up to
[30:35] Speaker 1: Tahoe to skew with my cousin and he hiked around
[30:37] Speaker 1: there with his brother. We said Happy Valentine's Day, but
[30:40] Speaker 1: that was it. No cars, no present, no nothing. We've
[30:42] Speaker 1: been together for five years. We have the best relationship.
[30:44] Speaker 1: He's very kind and thoughtful and sweet. Flash forward to
[30:47] Speaker 1: me listening to the podcast when you guys were talking
[30:48] Speaker 1: about that, even a card or flowers, it's all that's needed.
[30:51] Speaker 1: I was folding laundry and he came in and he
[30:53] Speaker 1: was listening as well. Easton said the guys should do
[30:56] Speaker 1: something at the bare minimum. My boy headford really bad
[30:59] Speaker 1: and said, did you play this for me? And we
[31:01] Speaker 1: were both cracking out. The next day, I came home
[31:04] Speaker 1: with it to a card, a full weekend of plans
[31:06] Speaker 1: for a late Valentine's Day weekend. Thank you all for
[31:09] Speaker 1: the little push. Love you guys, And I'm a day
[31:11] Speaker 1: one scrubber. You might remember me. I was the one
[31:14] Speaker 1: who wrote in early who wrote in early on asking
[31:16] Speaker 1: you to harmonize for Becca, back when you were the
[31:21] Speaker 1: code for every commercial.
[31:22] Speaker 2: Wow, I'm still it should be scrubbing.
[31:28] Speaker 1: It's scrubbing.
[31:28] Speaker 3: Yeah, we love that. I love that. I just want
[31:33] Speaker 3: to give her an a plug.
[31:36] Speaker 4: But I'd also like to point out that she said
