[0:00] Speaker 1: Scrubbing In with Becka Tilly and Tanya rad and iHeartRadio
[0:04] Speaker 1: and two times People's Choice Award winning podcast Hello everybody,
[0:13] Speaker 1: we are scrubbing in.
[0:15] Speaker 2: Well, Donia's on an elevator over there.
[0:19] Speaker 1: I'll have you know that I actually was going to
[0:22] Speaker 1: put on my black Alice sweats this morning, Like I
[0:24] Speaker 1: had them like pulled out, ready to go, and I
[0:27] Speaker 1: was like, we're in the middle of a heat wave.
[0:29] Speaker 1: Yeah we are. I know if I show up in
[0:30] Speaker 1: the podcast to the podcast with my black sweat set,
[0:35] Speaker 1: it's not gonna be well received. So I changed.
[0:37] Speaker 3: I wouldn't have thought twice about it. Really, you've done
[0:40] Speaker 3: it before, You've had a puffer on in this heat.
[0:43] Speaker 4: Wave, I would have said something, Yeah, Yeah, I.
[0:45] Speaker 1: Think the puffer era is over. I think I've retired
[0:49] Speaker 1: it forever for the year. For the year. I haven't
[0:52] Speaker 1: worn it once this year and I and now that
[0:54] Speaker 1: it's ninety degrees, I think.
[0:56] Speaker 2: You can let it go for a how Yeah.
[0:58] Speaker 1: It's gonna stay in the closet all right.
[1:00] Speaker 2: Yeah, stay tuned for an update on that.
[1:04] Speaker 1: Exclusive.
[1:08] Speaker 3: Yeah, we are in a heat wave. I love it personally,
[1:11] Speaker 3: but it's great. Yeah, it's just you know, but you
[1:15] Speaker 3: don't like it.
[1:16] Speaker 1: No, Well, the nineties nineties, yeah, yeah.
[1:22] Speaker 3: But if I had to choose between freezing cold and
[1:24] Speaker 3: nineties and sunny, I'm choosing nineties and so.
[1:26] Speaker 1: March you would, yeah, March. Yeah.
[1:29] Speaker 3: I do wish there was a little transition from into spring,
[1:34] Speaker 3: spring to summer, but we just jumped straight to summer,
[1:36] Speaker 3: which is fine.
[1:37] Speaker 2: You know, we're in southern California, which makes me worried.
[1:39] Speaker 1: For the summer. A little worried for the summertime. There's
[1:42] Speaker 1: no need to worry. Worry is just wasted time. Ain't
[1:46] Speaker 1: that the truth it is. I'm really trying to be
[1:48] Speaker 1: more like present. Oh that's beautiful. It's the hardest thing
[1:53] Speaker 1: I've ever had to do in my life. Yeah.
[1:55] Speaker 3: I'm doing that with Haley right now too, being present, well,
[2:00] Speaker 3: her needing to be present.
[2:02] Speaker 1: You're right, Yeah, your present is present? About me is
[2:05] Speaker 1: I'm I might be living in the past. Actually, I'm
[2:07] Speaker 1: so present. One thing you're not is future thinking.
[2:11] Speaker 2: I'm delayed.
[2:12] Speaker 1: If anything. Some may I argue was healthy, and I agree.
[2:17] Speaker 3: Yeah, my cortisol levels are perfectly potentially low. In fact,
[2:23] Speaker 3: today I walked in we had moved the podcast from
[2:25] Speaker 3: twelve to twelve fifteen. I walked into the studio empty,
[2:29] Speaker 3: just me, first time it's ever happened, and it said
[2:32] Speaker 3: twelve six I watched the clock turn to twelve sixteen
[2:35] Speaker 3: and I was still alone, and I said, well, I
[2:39] Speaker 3: have to bring it up and I documented it, so
[2:44] Speaker 3: proof mighty eighty HD didn't stop me today.
[2:48] Speaker 1: So you got here at twelve fifteen earlier.
[2:51] Speaker 2: I think twelve fourteen is when I arrived.
[2:53] Speaker 3: Actually I dropped Phoebe off at the groomer and it
[2:56] Speaker 3: was a faster process than I thought. So I got
[2:58] Speaker 3: here so early that I pulled off on the side
[3:01] Speaker 3: of the road.
[3:02] Speaker 1: To scroll and scrolled. Whoa, I had a like little
[3:06] Speaker 1: scroll sash. Wow. Yeah, I do apologize. Why did you
[3:11] Speaker 1: How did you know that I scrolled?
[3:13] Speaker 3: That's such a specific choice to make, and I thought
[3:15] Speaker 3: it was so.
[3:16] Speaker 1: Weird because I was early to my acupuncture appointment. I
[3:19] Speaker 1: sat in the parking lot and scrolled. That's so funny,
[3:23] Speaker 1: because I know they don't take me early. They take
[3:24] Speaker 1: me like right on the now. So I was like,
[3:26] Speaker 1: I either just sit up there and I can't scroll
[3:28] Speaker 1: because it needs to be quiet, yeah, or I sit
[3:31] Speaker 1: in my car. Yeah. Okay, okay, So anyways, I yeah,
[3:34] Speaker 1: I scrolled yeah Wow. Well, I knew I was gonna
[3:37] Speaker 1: be late normally we started at noon. I knew I
[3:39] Speaker 1: was gonna be late because I had to go I
[3:40] Speaker 1: had to go to the acupuncture. It was an emergency
[3:44] Speaker 1: and that was the only time he could squeeze me,
[3:45] Speaker 1: and so I I knew it was gonna take me
[3:47] Speaker 1: fifteen minutes for the drive, and I usually am out
[3:50] Speaker 1: by eleven fifty. I wasn't out quite till noon, So
[3:53] Speaker 1: I really cut it tight there.
[3:56] Speaker 3: So Tanya sends a Texans like can we move the
[3:58] Speaker 3: podcast a tool fifteen?
[3:59] Speaker 2: I'm like, why say anything?
[4:01] Speaker 3: Like that's normal, literally my normal time, and now you're
[4:03] Speaker 3: potentially pushing me back into other ten minutes.
[4:06] Speaker 1: Because I didn't want to, on the off chance that
[4:09] Speaker 1: you got here at noon, make you wait fifteen minutes
[4:12] Speaker 1: for me, like.
[4:12] Speaker 2: You know you'd hear about it. It was really a double
[4:14] Speaker 2: edged sword for.
[4:15] Speaker 1: It felt nasty to not say it, to not ask
[4:18] Speaker 1: because I knew I wasn't going to be here at noon.
[4:20] Speaker 3: People do that to me, really, they told me, and yeah,
[4:23] Speaker 3: they just they don't tell me the right time so
[4:25] Speaker 3: that I show up on time.
[4:27] Speaker 1: Dang, and that's something I.
[4:29] Speaker 3: Need to look inward about. You know, did you watch
[4:33] Speaker 3: the Oscars last night?
[4:35] Speaker 1: I did not watch the Oscars last night. I mean
[4:38] Speaker 1: that's fine.
[4:39] Speaker 2: I would say what I saw of it was not that.
[4:44] Speaker 1: Newsworthy. I just, for some reason this award season, was
[4:49] Speaker 1: not into the movies. Like I think I like the
[4:53] Speaker 1: Golden Globes and the Grammys because I'm into like music
[4:55] Speaker 1: and television. But movies, I'm realizing, and maybe it's my
[4:58] Speaker 1: attention span. Yes, they're all so freaking long. Yeah, like
[5:02] Speaker 1: two and a half hours, three and a half hours.
[5:05] Speaker 1: My gosh, golly.
[5:07] Speaker 3: You know what I've noticed is like you can tell
[5:09] Speaker 3: when a movie is made for the potential of getting
[5:14] Speaker 3: an Oscar nom Yeah, and they're unfortunately just a little
[5:18] Speaker 3: too over my head or deep or serious or artistic
[5:21] Speaker 3: for me.
[5:22] Speaker 1: The movie is How to Lose a Guy in Ten
[5:24] Speaker 1: Days and he's just not that into you. So what
[5:26] Speaker 1: am I doing watching Bogonia? You know what? I was
[5:30] Speaker 1: good though, I had to do.
[5:32] Speaker 4: But it's very good.
[5:33] Speaker 1: Who mind to watch if I have like that kick?
[5:35] Speaker 1: You you know, like it's just I think my palette is
[5:38] Speaker 1: just a little bit different.
[5:39] Speaker 2: Simple simple for these intellects.
[5:43] Speaker 1: I'm watching Extract on Netflix. Okay, so let's just call
[5:46] Speaker 1: a Space of Faith.
[5:48] Speaker 3: Yeah, we're watching Age of Attraction just so you know
[5:50] Speaker 3: where are Uh.
[5:53] Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean Haley is a lot more like she
[5:56] Speaker 1: she's a cinema cinephile. Cinephile. Yeah, is that someone who
[5:59] Speaker 1: like to watch movies?
[6:00] Speaker 4: That's yeah, it's not someone who with movies.
[6:03] Speaker 1: In case you're winder, Yeah, yeah, it sounds a little provocative.
[6:07] Speaker 4: With how did Hayley feel about the winners? I'm curious?
[6:09] Speaker 1: Yeah, wait, so wait, you guys like went to watch
[6:11] Speaker 1: the Oscars at a party?
[6:12] Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, oh we went to after parties,
[6:15] Speaker 3: but we don't.
[6:16] Speaker 1: We watched the Oscars at home.
[6:17] Speaker 3: Oh oh, but they do have the Elton John view
[6:20] Speaker 3: of you party. But w to know, we went to
[6:23] Speaker 3: the after party. So we went to the Elton John
[6:25] Speaker 3: after party and then we went to the Focus Features
[6:27] Speaker 3: after party.
[6:28] Speaker 1: So the Oscars were at five pm. You watched cover Oh.
[6:32] Speaker 3: I know, we thought they started it five, but we
[6:34] Speaker 3: turned it on and it was already going.
[6:36] Speaker 1: Okay, so you like loosely watched the Oscars and then
[6:38] Speaker 1: what time did you leave the.
[6:39] Speaker 2: House to go out like eight twenty.
[6:43] Speaker 1: You know, Becca's gotten big time. When I had to
[6:46] Speaker 1: find out she went to after Oscar parties on Instagram
[6:49] Speaker 1: this morning. Yeah, I don't know. I didn't.
[6:52] Speaker 2: I didn't know that was something you care about.
[6:55] Speaker 1: You didn't even watch the Oscar. I know it's the
[6:57] Speaker 1: biggest night in Hollywood. Like, if you're rubbing albums, would
[7:00] Speaker 1: do a leap in Callum Turner. We passed each other
[7:03] Speaker 1: in the hall. I'd like to know. I'd like to
[7:05] Speaker 1: follow your location and like be on the inside.
[7:08] Speaker 3: Well, one thing about Haley and I is we like
[7:11] Speaker 3: will plan to go to something and then plan our
[7:15] Speaker 3: getting ready process and think that we'll have plenty of
[7:17] Speaker 3: time to get photos and content and everything, and we
[7:20] Speaker 3: never do. It's always absolute chaos trying to get us
[7:22] Speaker 3: out of the house. We have no time for pictures.
[7:25] Speaker 3: So we were rushing to get to the Elton John
[7:27] Speaker 3: after party, uh to take photos on the carpet and stuff.
[7:31] Speaker 3: And then we were walking down the hallway and do
[7:34] Speaker 3: a lipa and Calum.
[7:35] Speaker 1: Turner, Calm Turner, what's his name? Calm Turner? Who am
[7:39] Speaker 1: I thinking?
[7:39] Speaker 2: Oh yeah, Calm Turner, who are.
[7:40] Speaker 4: You thinking of?
[7:43] Speaker 1: So we passed him in the hall.
[7:47] Speaker 3: We passed him in the hall, and I was like,
[7:49] Speaker 3: oh my god, there's dual because the Elton John after
[7:51] Speaker 3: party I always think of it as like people like
[7:54] Speaker 3: meet like influencers and like people who uh like I
[7:58] Speaker 3: didn't expect you to do at by I didn't. Yeah, I
[8:01] Speaker 3: didn't expect to see like a lists.
[8:02] Speaker 5: No.
[8:03] Speaker 1: I feel like the Elton John after party is like anything.
[8:06] Speaker 2: I get invited to swing, I think, you.
[8:10] Speaker 1: Know what I mean, but big swinging, big swinging dicks.
[8:14] Speaker 1: Oh isn't that the term?
[8:17] Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what you think about the Elton John after party.
[8:20] Speaker 1: Is that not like it's like like the heavy hitters. Yeah?
[8:23] Speaker 2: No, But I guess in my mind, I think anything
[8:25] Speaker 2: I get invited.
[8:26] Speaker 3: To, I'm like, I expect to see, you know, not
[8:29] Speaker 3: a list. But I gotta re shift my mind because
[8:35] Speaker 3: like now I'm Haley's plus one, and Haley is a
[8:37] Speaker 3: feature film director, she's a cinemaphile, she's a centophile. And
[8:42] Speaker 3: then we went to the Focused Features after party and
[8:45] Speaker 3: that one was like intimate and like elevated, like sophisticated chic,
[8:51] Speaker 3: like how long were you at.
[8:52] Speaker 1: The Elton John one?
[8:55] Speaker 6: Oh?
[8:55] Speaker 1: I haven't okay, So then you went to the other one,
[8:58] Speaker 1: the Focus Features there for how long.
[9:01] Speaker 2: Like an hour. We literally were home before midnight. It
[9:03] Speaker 2: was amazing.
[9:04] Speaker 1: It was perfect. Okay, who was at the Focus Features.
[9:09] Speaker 3: And the Stone Gracie Abrams, Paul Mescal, it's like the
[9:16] Speaker 3: drink Mescal, Steven Spielberg, Yeah, I know, his sister Nancy.
[9:25] Speaker 1: They were like kind of blocked off. I felt like
[9:27] Speaker 1: they were like, we don't want anyone know unless I
[9:30] Speaker 1: Sometimes I.
[9:30] Speaker 3: Thought that the people that were working the event were
[9:33] Speaker 3: like security. And then there was this one section that
[9:35] Speaker 3: we were like, there's a seat, can we go sit
[9:37] Speaker 3: in there? And she's like, oh yeah, sure, Like I
[9:38] Speaker 3: think we were thinking, oh, are we allowed to sit here?
[9:42] Speaker 3: But everyone who was invited to that party.
[9:45] Speaker 1: Where so, you know, Steven Spielberg Encounter no shoot opportunity.
[9:51] Speaker 3: Yeah, well I was like I was gonna say, Jessica
[9:53] Speaker 3: Capshaw was on our podcast even I know, I know,
[9:56] Speaker 3: next time, next time, and and yeah it was it
[10:01] Speaker 3: was like really really cool, and it was so fun
[10:03] Speaker 3: because I was obviously Hayley's plus one and so she's
[10:06] Speaker 3: so room well she's so like she's talking to all
[10:09] Speaker 3: the Focus Features people and they're so excited about her
[10:12] Speaker 3: movie coming out, and then she's like my fiance Becket,
[10:14] Speaker 3: and then they're raving about the movie to me, and
[10:16] Speaker 3: I'm like, this is so cool that I like get
[10:18] Speaker 3: to be on her arm arm. Yeah, as an introduced
[10:22] Speaker 3: as a fiance. Wow to a feature film director. Yeah, cinephile,
[10:29] Speaker 3: I keep saying cinema file.
[10:30] Speaker 2: Oh no, it's just rolling off the tongue. But it's
[10:32] Speaker 2: not feel good.
[10:34] Speaker 1: So it was really fun. And then did you talk
[10:36] Speaker 1: to anyone? Did you talk to Emma Stone? No?
[10:39] Speaker 2: Like, okay, So just for the people who have not
[10:44] Speaker 2: been to one of these.
[10:45] Speaker 1: Parties, yeah, set the scene.
[10:46] Speaker 3: So the Elton John party is more everyone's walking around.
[10:49] Speaker 3: There's like several rooms. It's a huge event. So like
[10:53] Speaker 3: you walk and then there's a photo booth room, and
[10:55] Speaker 3: then there's a barroom, and then there's another barroom.
[10:57] Speaker 2: Like it's very social.
[10:59] Speaker 3: There's a dance floor and it's more like you're kind
[11:02] Speaker 3: of mingling up. And about the one that we went
[11:04] Speaker 3: to for which that was my first time going to
[11:06] Speaker 3: one that was like elevated to like intimate like that, Yeah,
[11:11] Speaker 3: it's people sitting in it's dark, and it's you know,
[11:13] Speaker 3: people are just talking with their peers, and it's not
[11:17] Speaker 3: a space where you want to go up and be like, hi,
[11:20] Speaker 3: I'm such a big fan of you.
[11:22] Speaker 2: Like it's almost like a safe space.
[11:24] Speaker 3: Yes, of course, So I especially was super cognizant of
[11:29] Speaker 3: that and aware and.
[11:30] Speaker 1: No, but you could still not be like fangirl and
[11:33] Speaker 1: still like have a chat.
[11:35] Speaker 3: Yeah, but if they're like in the middle of a
[11:37] Speaker 3: conversation with their friends, I'm not going to go up and.
[11:39] Speaker 2: Be like hi, you know, it's just not it's not
[11:41] Speaker 2: it really isn't.
[11:42] Speaker 4: Beautiful excited for the Bachelorette next week.
[11:45] Speaker 3: Get if she like got up and walked out and
[11:49] Speaker 3: like had gone to the bar and passed us.
[11:50] Speaker 1: Maybe in that moment, No, Dua was surrounded by.
[11:54] Speaker 3: Her team and they were in a rush going somewhere,
[11:57] Speaker 3: so I couldn't go into the Vanity Fair party. Yeah,
[12:00] Speaker 3: so they were like they're on the go, and I
[12:02] Speaker 3: was just like, oh my god. You know any like
[12:05] Speaker 3: that sound effect when traffic goes by, It's like that's
[12:08] Speaker 3: what it was like.
[12:09] Speaker 2: But we're like, oh, okay.
[12:11] Speaker 1: So then the Focused Features party, was it like was
[12:13] Speaker 1: it like sectioned off tables? No?
[12:18] Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I mean, but they weren't like sectioned off,
[12:20] Speaker 3: like anyone could sit anywhere.
[12:21] Speaker 1: They were like booth. It was at a bar, which are.
[12:24] Speaker 3: Bar Marmont, like next to Chateau mar Okay, but it
[12:29] Speaker 3: was very chic and it was really cool, just like
[12:33] Speaker 3: being in a room with those people.
[12:35] Speaker 1: I mean especially for her. I mean like hey, I'm like, hey,
[12:37] Speaker 1: like these.
[12:37] Speaker 2: Are your peers now like you and Steven Spielberger peers.
[12:41] Speaker 1: You both are directed a feature Focus features film.
[12:45] Speaker 2: Yeah, so it was really cool.
[12:48] Speaker 1: Wow. Yeah.
[12:48] Speaker 3: But then we were home and I was like stoked
[12:50] Speaker 3: to get I had one drink, French fries, time for bed.
[12:54] Speaker 3: They had an in and out truck outside, heavy handed.
[12:59] Speaker 3: I know, it's like the same same page, same So yeah,
[13:04] Speaker 3: it was really cool. And I can't believe I get
[13:07] Speaker 3: to someone DM me and they're like, sorry to sound
[13:11] Speaker 3: if I just sound rude, but like why do you
[13:12] Speaker 3: go to these You're not an actress? And I'm like, okay,
[13:15] Speaker 3: first of all, the last one to a director. Yeah,
[13:19] Speaker 3: And second of all, I got invited. What am I
[13:21] Speaker 3: supposed to say?
[13:22] Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I'm not a.
[13:26] Speaker 4: Reality show. I really shouldn't.
[13:28] Speaker 1: Oh my god, Orlandria is going to the Vanity Fair
[13:31] Speaker 1: oscar party. She was on Love Island. Okay, Becka Tilly
[13:34] Speaker 1: from The Bachelor can go to whatever she wants.
[13:37] Speaker 3: No, honestly, a lot Landria really is crushing. She's at
[13:42] Speaker 3: everything high level.
[13:44] Speaker 1: So I don't agree.
[13:45] Speaker 2: I don't know who she's teamed up with after Love Island, but.
[13:49] Speaker 1: In her pr or what is she doing, I think
[13:52] Speaker 1: she's still with Nicholas. Yeah wow, and I don't know
[13:57] Speaker 1: or whatever, but proved me wrong. That's yeah, I not
[14:01] Speaker 1: that interview care. But the winners of Love Island UK
[14:05] Speaker 1: All Stars already broke up. It's been three weeks. I'm like,
[14:11] Speaker 1: oh my god, I know that, Like All Stars gets
[14:13] Speaker 1: a bad rap that they're going on just for clout,
[14:15] Speaker 1: so like knowing.
[14:16] Speaker 3: That horrible, Like, yeah, el fake it for like a
[14:21] Speaker 3: little bit.
[14:22] Speaker 1: I feel like weeks. It's like I have I have
[14:25] Speaker 1: almond milk in my fridge longer than that. I'm not
[14:27] Speaker 1: saying something.
[14:28] Speaker 3: Yeah, I would say if I went on a show
[14:31] Speaker 3: like that and I ended up with someone unless they
[14:33] Speaker 3: were just like the worst person ever and I didn't
[14:36] Speaker 3: want to be associated.
[14:37] Speaker 2: With them after the fact, I would go at least
[14:39] Speaker 2: six months.
[14:39] Speaker 3: Yeah, give the people what they want, and I would
[14:42] Speaker 3: do stage paparazzi shots.
[14:45] Speaker 1: Excellent, Give me some TikTok dances. Feed me, okay as
[14:50] Speaker 1: a fan, feed me. Yeah, I feel slapped in the
[14:53] Speaker 1: face because I went to bat for Sammy all season
[14:56] Speaker 1: and now I'm just like, looks like I was wrong.
[14:59] Speaker 1: She did it for the followers. Shoot, yeah, I'm a
[15:02] Speaker 1: chump chumping. You ate it up. She didn't have to
[15:07] Speaker 1: feed you because you ate it up. Yeah. I was
[15:09] Speaker 1: fed less and I was fool Yeah.
[15:13] Speaker 4: Can we point out that Tiny did it backwards al
[15:15] Speaker 4: for chump?
[15:19] Speaker 3: Actually though, is that mirrored because it might actually translate?
[15:23] Speaker 1: I'm not sure. Anyways, sidetrack, something else.
[15:30] Speaker 3: Really funny happened between Tanya and Haley and I want
[15:34] Speaker 3: to talk about it, but we're going to take a break.
[15:36] Speaker 1: What happened too quarter back?
[15:55] Speaker 4: It was a photo finished. I don't know who got
[15:57] Speaker 4: that first.
[16:00] Speaker 3: Okay, So when we went to the Bahamas, Tanya and Hailey.
[16:05] Speaker 1: Was just no idea what you're about to say. And
[16:06] Speaker 1: it's kind of thrilling.
[16:09] Speaker 3: Haley was telling you know, Haley and Tanya were chit chatting,
[16:13] Speaker 3: and I loved that trip.
[16:14] Speaker 2: By the way, I look back on it with such
[16:16] Speaker 2: fond memory.
[16:18] Speaker 1: That's so nice. I do too. It was a flash
[16:20] Speaker 1: in the pan. It was fast and furious.
[16:24] Speaker 3: Yeah, But Tanya and Hailey were discussing just like diets
[16:28] Speaker 3: and Haley's like allergies and whatnot, and she was just
[16:31] Speaker 3: Haley was just saying, oh, I just like don't feel great,
[16:33] Speaker 3: and I I I just want like my body to
[16:37] Speaker 3: feel better and whatever. So Tanya goes, I promise you
[16:40] Speaker 3: if you cut out processed sugar and gluten, I feel
[16:44] Speaker 3: like you'd noticed a significant difference.
[16:46] Speaker 1: So Haley, this is spoiler alert. I'm no nutritionist. No no, no,
[16:51] Speaker 1: I'm not giving. I'm not giving.
[16:53] Speaker 3: This is very I think if people cut out processed sugar,
[16:56] Speaker 3: that's good advice.
[16:57] Speaker 1: This was just like your own experience from my previous
[17:01] Speaker 1: experience and how it made me feel. So I wasn't like, no, no, no, Haley.
[17:05] Speaker 3: I think was asking because you have allergies and like
[17:09] Speaker 3: you are very focused on your health and exercise, and
[17:12] Speaker 3: she was like, what do you do when you want
[17:13] Speaker 3: to feel better? And and Tanya said, well, I cut
[17:15] Speaker 3: out processed sugar and I can't handle gluten, so I
[17:18] Speaker 3: cut that out. And Haley was like yeah, I actually
[17:20] Speaker 3: do feel better when I don't eat bread, so that
[17:22] Speaker 3: makes sense. I'm gonna try. And Tanya goes, well, do
[17:24] Speaker 3: you want me to be your accountability coach?
[17:26] Speaker 2: And I'll just like check in and encourage you.
[17:28] Speaker 1: Mind you.
[17:29] Speaker 3: Tanya has tried to be my accountability coach so many times,
[17:32] Speaker 3: and it's just she.
[17:33] Speaker 1: Got read it's not met well more than usual, like
[17:38] Speaker 1: I cannot I realize and it's something I need to
[17:42] Speaker 1: work on myself.
[17:43] Speaker 3: I cannot be held accountable. So but Haley, Haley was like,
[17:50] Speaker 3: I love that. So Tanya starts off and and she
[17:56] Speaker 3: starts sending Haley and Tomorrow's the day.
[17:59] Speaker 1: You're strong. You can do it.
[18:00] Speaker 3: You're gonna feel so much better, get through the first day,
[18:03] Speaker 3: and the next day is going to be easier, like great.
[18:05] Speaker 1: Oprah, it's Oprah.
[18:06] Speaker 3: And Haley is like, wow, Tanya really texts a lot
[18:10] Speaker 3: when she's doing this like coaching at first, and I go, yeah,
[18:13] Speaker 3: that's why. I was just like, I can't. This isn't
[18:16] Speaker 3: for me, and she goes, I like it. I kind
[18:19] Speaker 3: of like it.
[18:20] Speaker 1: So they go for like a week or two yeah, no,
[18:24] Speaker 1: like a week a week and why do I have PTSD?
[18:26] Speaker 1: From Becca and the way she handled me as a coach.
[18:29] Speaker 1: So I'm treading lightly with Hailey, Like I'm like, I
[18:31] Speaker 1: want to like help her and like be there for her,
[18:34] Speaker 1: but I also like don't want to overstep and like
[18:36] Speaker 1: because I feel like the minute you get turned off
[18:38] Speaker 1: with me with that, like you're done. So I'm like
[18:41] Speaker 1: I need to I'm just like going to get her
[18:42] Speaker 1: through the first week and then let the butterfly fly. Yeah,
[18:46] Speaker 1: So Hailey's loving it.
[18:48] Speaker 3: She's like, Tanya is amazing at this, like she could
[18:52] Speaker 3: do this as a career. And I was like, I
[18:53] Speaker 3: told I texted Tanya. I was like, Haley loves this.
[18:55] Speaker 3: She says, you're really good at it.
[18:57] Speaker 1: And then last.
[18:59] Speaker 3: Week, which I guess this week too, goes, I haven't
[19:04] Speaker 3: heard from Tanya, and she goes, it's like I slipped
[19:07] Speaker 3: off the bandwagon. Told her I had a chocolate covered strawberry,
[19:09] Speaker 3: and now she hasn't texted me. And I was like, wait, what,
[19:14] Speaker 3: Like she was she mad when he told her she
[19:17] Speaker 3: had to chocolate covered strawberry. She goes, no, she just
[19:19] Speaker 3: said it's okay, like you'll start again tomorrow, you know,
[19:24] Speaker 3: But I haven't heard anything. And I kind of missed it,
[19:27] Speaker 3: and so I text Tanya and I'm like, what the heck,
[19:31] Speaker 3: Like Haley's missing her text? What kind of coach are you?
[19:34] Speaker 1: One weekend and you're done?
[19:36] Speaker 4: You need accountability.
[19:37] Speaker 1: Yeah, to be fair, I should have like I should
[19:41] Speaker 1: have had the conversation with Haley beforehand, like how long
[19:44] Speaker 1: did she want me to do it? Like is she
[19:46] Speaker 1: liking what's happening? Like I didn't want to. I just
[19:49] Speaker 1: like I have a little PTSD from doing it with Becka.
[19:52] Speaker 3: It's feeling like you're blaming me for your you dropping
[19:56] Speaker 3: the ball, which is quite fair because I not drop
[20:00] Speaker 3: said she's liking this. She says, you're really good at it.
[20:02] Speaker 3: So I gave you the indication that she was enjoying it.
[20:06] Speaker 3: I wasn't saying like Haley.
[20:08] Speaker 1: Too, because I could feel like she was like proud
[20:10] Speaker 1: of herself, she thrives whatever that is.
[20:14] Speaker 2: Yeah, I could tell dynamic, I could tell anyways.
[20:17] Speaker 3: I had to text one and be like okay, like
[20:20] Speaker 3: pick it back up, and Haley goes even if she
[20:23] Speaker 3: just wants to text me at the beginning of a
[20:24] Speaker 3: week and then the end of the week.
[20:26] Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, that's not how we roll. What
[20:30] Speaker 1: do you mean. Oh, yeah, so that.
[20:33] Speaker 4: An ideal rhythm is daily, once a day or I.
[20:36] Speaker 1: Was trying to do morning and night like really hammer
[20:40] Speaker 1: in the hope and the top and then close it
[20:43] Speaker 1: with some encouragement at the end of the day.
[20:46] Speaker 4: You don't have to give away a trade secret here,
[20:48] Speaker 4: but how often do you do in like scheduled text?
[20:51] Speaker 4: Zero zero? It's all live in the moment.
[20:52] Speaker 1: I know you could do schedule text until recently.
[20:55] Speaker 4: Yeah, you could just myself.
[20:57] Speaker 1: It's a new feature because I didn't know this until
[20:59] Speaker 1: like last week. But now that I did, it's not
[21:03] Speaker 1: every night at a PM.
[21:05] Speaker 4: Sorry, I had a really rough date, a lot of
[21:07] Speaker 4: nachos and great job, let's do it again tomorrow.
[21:11] Speaker 1: Gets some good sleep.
[21:13] Speaker 2: Yeah, but she's been really good. Yeah, so I wasn't.
[21:16] Speaker 1: Even mad about it. I was like, chocolate, a strawberry
[21:18] Speaker 1: is fine, grup, gorgeous.
[21:21] Speaker 2: Well, she didn't know. She didn't know if you were
[21:23] Speaker 2: if you were fine.
[21:24] Speaker 1: With it, that's funny.
[21:25] Speaker 3: She thought I was madt disappointed.
[21:30] Speaker 1: So well, now I'm back on and it really feels
[21:34] Speaker 1: good that Haley appreciates it. I think I thrive in
[21:36] Speaker 1: it too, because it like I don't know, like encouraging
[21:41] Speaker 1: somebody else also like encourages you in a way.
[21:44] Speaker 3: Well, it's like you're holding your own self accountable because
[21:46] Speaker 3: if you're sending these words and then things, it's like,
[21:50] Speaker 3: what about me?
[21:51] Speaker 1: Am?
[21:51] Speaker 2: I am I being a good example for this person?
[21:54] Speaker 3: Right?
[21:55] Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, Well do as I say that, not as
[21:57] Speaker 1: I do. That's what I was gonna text her yesterday
[21:59] Speaker 1: because I knew I was going for my dipped cone
[22:01] Speaker 1: ID scheduled it the week before of the dipped code. Yeah,
[22:06] Speaker 1: so I like projected onto her in the morning and
[22:08] Speaker 1: I was like, it's gonna be really hot out today maybe. Yeah.
[22:16] Speaker 3: So that was really funny, but I'm glad. I'm I
[22:20] Speaker 3: was like, y'all need to figure this out. I can't
[22:21] Speaker 3: be the middleman here. First of all, when they started,
[22:24] Speaker 3: Tanya had me in the chat with Haley and was
[22:27] Speaker 3: like sending the message.
[22:28] Speaker 2: I'm like, no, no, no, I did not want this.
[22:31] Speaker 3: I have opted out and this is your thing together
[22:36] Speaker 3: a lot me remove myself.
[22:37] Speaker 1: Indeed, it is our thing together. Yes, we'll ride it out.
[22:40] Speaker 1: We'll ride till dawn.
[22:42] Speaker 3: Yeah, well until you're unresponsive, which is what happened.
[22:48] Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm gonna have to pre schedule some text this weekend.
[22:51] Speaker 1: I'm gonna learn how to do that for the.
[22:54] Speaker 2: Yeah, I can't be like, oh, yeah, how was your
[22:57] Speaker 2: one year anniversary?
[23:00] Speaker 1: Was a marriage? It was good? What y'all do? We're
[23:04] Speaker 1: really celebrating this weekend. We're going to go to Combo
[23:07] Speaker 1: for the weekend. And then last weekend we we kind
[23:12] Speaker 1: of celebrate like our family birthday. So we went out
[23:15] Speaker 1: to dinner with the kids and kind of like had
[23:18] Speaker 1: like a candle and and all talked about like, yeah,
[23:21] Speaker 1: I talked about like our favorite moments and memories from
[23:23] Speaker 1: the wedding and like it's so cute to hear your
[23:27] Speaker 1: step kids like just really enjoy your wedding as much
[23:32] Speaker 1: as you did, you know what I mean? Like he
[23:34] Speaker 1: was like my favorite part was getting there and my
[23:36] Speaker 1: worst part was leaving. Like he loved everything about it,
[23:39] Speaker 1: and like I don't know, I know it was really sweet.
[23:43] Speaker 1: And so that's kind of what we did. The night
[23:47] Speaker 1: of our anniversary. He like got me flowers. We both
[23:49] Speaker 1: did paper as our gift. Huh. So I gave him
[23:53] Speaker 1: like a little corner of what I'm like the art
[23:56] Speaker 1: piece that I'm making mission commissioning, which he really loved
[24:01] Speaker 1: and he's gonna like put the that piece up in
[24:03] Speaker 1: his office. And then he said his is taking a
[24:05] Speaker 1: little bit longer and it wasn't ready either, So I
[24:07] Speaker 1: don't know what it is.
[24:08] Speaker 3: Y'all both commission the same piece of art for the
[24:11] Speaker 3: same artist.
[24:12] Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't actually have no because I obviously told
[24:14] Speaker 1: him what mine was because it was like, this is
[24:15] Speaker 1: just like the teaser part of it. But I have
[24:18] Speaker 1: no idea what he got me. You think he's but
[24:21] Speaker 1: he said it's in the paper realm.
[24:23] Speaker 3: Well, I messaged him and it was like the day
[24:26] Speaker 3: before because I've forgotten. I was like, hey, FYI, the
[24:31] Speaker 3: first anniversary is paper, so at the very least you
[24:34] Speaker 3: need to have a nice card.
[24:36] Speaker 2: And he goes Becca like because he showed it to
[24:40] Speaker 2: that on it.
[24:41] Speaker 3: He's like, I'm on it, and I was like, okay, Well,
[24:44] Speaker 3: I didn't want to be responsible as something went down
[24:46] Speaker 3: because I was supposed to say something, so I'm.
[24:48] Speaker 1: You know, I'm glad you did. Yeah, but you know,
[24:49] Speaker 1: it's actually really funny. We almost got each other the
[24:51] Speaker 1: same card. Oh that's cool. So he opened his card
[24:54] Speaker 1: that I got him and he was like, oh my gosh,
[24:55] Speaker 1: and he went into like little cab cabinet that we
[24:58] Speaker 1: have like our cards, and he pulled it out and
[24:59] Speaker 1: he was like, got to He ended up giving me
[25:02] Speaker 1: the other one.
[25:02] Speaker 7: Wow.
[25:03] Speaker 1: But yeah, I know, I love the simpatico. Yeah, I
[25:08] Speaker 1: love having a card drawer. We also do that. Yeah,
[25:11] Speaker 1: it's more more for like last minute, like if somebody's
[25:13] Speaker 1: birthday at work and you forget, you know what I mean. Like,
[25:16] Speaker 1: it's it's.
[25:16] Speaker 2: Nice to be able to go through and be like,
[25:18] Speaker 2: oh I have my cards.
[25:19] Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, instead of last minute always like oh I
[25:21] Speaker 1: need to get a card for this exactly.
[25:23] Speaker 4: We also have a card drawer and it's is that
[25:25] Speaker 4: just adulthood?
[25:27] Speaker 2: Wow, it's giving adulthood.
[25:29] Speaker 1: I love it.
[25:30] Speaker 4: It's great.
[25:30] Speaker 1: It's nice.
[25:32] Speaker 3: Wait are y'all watching Age of Attraction as well? Yes,
[25:36] Speaker 3: it is insane. I know Euston's anti personally Robbie.
[25:43] Speaker 1: Robbie is also anti, so I will say that, you.
[25:45] Speaker 2: Guys, it's it's crazy.
[25:48] Speaker 1: I mean, the show is. It's so bad. But like,
[25:51] Speaker 1: let's save our synopsis to the end in case anybody's
[25:54] Speaker 1: not watching. But I have some hot takes. Okay, okay,
[25:58] Speaker 1: we'll get to those later, I guess I get to it,
[26:01] Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean, if you want to.
[26:03] Speaker 4: Yeah, So if you're not watching, if you're watching Age
[26:06] Speaker 4: of Attraction, you don't want to be spoiled, turn the
[26:08] Speaker 4: podcast off right now, stop listening.
[26:11] Speaker 1: I mean, it's not much of a spoiler because I've
[26:13] Speaker 1: only watched I think the first two or three I have.
[26:16] Speaker 1: I'm not even caught up. Yeah, I mean, I'll just
[26:19] Speaker 1: lay it up for you.
[26:20] Speaker 3: The premise of the show is about age gaps, and
[26:22] Speaker 3: it's people from all different ages from their twenties to
[26:24] Speaker 3: their sixties, and they're all dating each other.
[26:26] Speaker 2: But the one rule is they're not allowed to ask
[26:28] Speaker 2: how old they are.
[26:29] Speaker 1: So it's kind of calm in my mind.
[26:31] Speaker 3: I'm thinking, oh, these people have they never seen someone
[26:35] Speaker 3: this age?
[26:35] Speaker 1: Like what is the disconnect? I'll say, I think the
[26:38] Speaker 1: casting department like did a dirty one, because I feel
[26:43] Speaker 1: like the older people that they put in there look
[26:47] Speaker 1: super young. I mean, like the guy that's sixty that
[26:52] Speaker 1: I don't know any of their names, So excuse me,
[26:53] Speaker 1: the guy that's sixty.
[26:55] Speaker 3: You're not gonna spoil anything because you're just gonna be
[26:57] Speaker 3: like the guy or the girl that's six year I.
[27:00] Speaker 1: Only know their ages. I don't know their names at
[27:02] Speaker 1: this point. But the guy that's sixty does not. He
[27:06] Speaker 1: did not look sixty to me, like I was.
[27:08] Speaker 2: Shocked, but he did not look forties.
[27:10] Speaker 1: He did not look forties. But thought she thought, yes,
[27:14] Speaker 1: oh yeah.
[27:16] Speaker 2: Yeah yeah yeah, No, he's a good looking guy.
[27:19] Speaker 4: He looks Did they cast any like busted like twenty
[27:21] Speaker 4: four year olds or anything.
[27:22] Speaker 1: No, No, everybody's like, everybody looks great. Everybody's like hot.
[27:26] Speaker 1: But the people that are were the like the older
[27:29] Speaker 1: people to me, in my opinion, looked very young. No,
[27:33] Speaker 1: they like I got all of their in age is wrong.
[27:35] Speaker 3: They're they're all oh I actually was like right on
[27:39] Speaker 3: the money or like one year off on them.
[27:41] Speaker 6: Wow.
[27:42] Speaker 3: Yeah. But they did casting in this sense, did a
[27:45] Speaker 3: great job at making it ambiguous because it's kind of like, okay,
[27:49] Speaker 3: are they there's a couple of girls where I'm like,
[27:52] Speaker 3: she might be twenty one, libya, I know.
[27:56] Speaker 1: I'm like, the only reason I know she's twenty one
[27:58] Speaker 1: because she's drinking alcohol.
[28:01] Speaker 3: That's what Hailey, Guys, I go, I think she has
[28:03] Speaker 3: to be twenty one. Yeah yeah, yeah, she's really cute.
[28:07] Speaker 3: But yeah, of course, the men going for these girls.
[28:10] Speaker 3: I'm like, these men know exactly.
[28:13] Speaker 1: What they're doing the shop their faces. They're like, I
[28:16] Speaker 1: had no idea she was twenty two.
[28:18] Speaker 8: I'm like, please, you have a daughter older than her.
[28:23] Speaker 2: Literally, So yeah, it is like the most chaotic show.
[28:27] Speaker 3: But the way they're editing it, it ends right before
[28:30] Speaker 3: they reveal their ages, so then you're like, well, I
[28:32] Speaker 3: just got to see.
[28:33] Speaker 1: The next next episode.
[28:34] Speaker 2: Yeah, so we're like hate watching it.
[28:37] Speaker 1: So that's what we're like. Robbie was like, I don't
[28:40] Speaker 1: want to watch it at all, Like you watch it
[28:42] Speaker 1: on your own, like it's all good. It always says
[28:44] Speaker 1: that about it, So I do, like I'll wait to
[28:47] Speaker 1: watch it until it's like my time or you know,
[28:49] Speaker 1: if he wants to go to sleep, and I'll watch it.
[28:51] Speaker 1: But he's like, how old is she? Howl? Does she
[28:55] Speaker 1: land up together?
[28:56] Speaker 3: It's it's a it's it's it's an interesting spearman. And
[29:00] Speaker 3: it also is like, for some reason, the women that
[29:03] Speaker 3: are older that are dating the younger men, I'm like, yeah,
[29:06] Speaker 3: go girl, And in the men, I'm like.
[29:07] Speaker 1: Oh, I'm gonna say that too, Like there's something I'm
[29:14] Speaker 1: so sorry. There's something creepy about a sixty year old
[29:17] Speaker 1: man dating a twenty seven year old girl.
[29:19] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yes, Like say, I'm gonna stand tinto down
[29:24] Speaker 3: on that guy.
[29:25] Speaker 1: It's just creepy, and like I actually like the guy,
[29:28] Speaker 1: Like I like this guy from what I've seen, but like, oh,
[29:31] Speaker 1: you don't like him, you think there's something weird.
[29:33] Speaker 2: Well just keep watching.
[29:34] Speaker 1: Oh shoot yeah, from what I've seen so far, he
[29:38] Speaker 1: seems great. Huh. But I'm like, it's just it's giving.
[29:45] Speaker 1: I'm gonna say it. Here's the thing.
[29:47] Speaker 3: I'm if it works like for people listening, if it
[29:50] Speaker 3: works for you, I think, sure you there's a chance
[29:53] Speaker 3: that you find in connection with someone with an age guy.
[29:55] Speaker 3: But it's like, why are you, as a woman having
[29:59] Speaker 3: to find a man that much older than you to
[30:02] Speaker 3: connect with emotionally? Like what does that say about him
[30:05] Speaker 3: that it took him that long to get to a
[30:07] Speaker 3: place where he's connecting with you on an emotional level
[30:10] Speaker 3: while you're twenty years old? Right?
[30:11] Speaker 1: Like I'm like I'm thirty eight, and I don't think
[30:13] Speaker 1: I could connect with a twenty seven year old Like
[30:15] Speaker 1: it's like, yeah.
[30:16] Speaker 4: Really talk about it. I just I keep thinking about that.
[30:20] Speaker 4: And the other thing is like, culturally, men are in
[30:23] Speaker 4: a position of power by default and women are not.
[30:29] Speaker 4: And I know that this is a case by case thing,
[30:31] Speaker 4: but I just when I see this, I'm like, how
[30:33] Speaker 4: can that not come into play? Like this, this man
[30:37] Speaker 4: I better do what he says because he's an older
[30:39] Speaker 4: man and I'm taught to they are leaders.
[30:42] Speaker 1: And respect my elders.
[30:43] Speaker 4: Yes, And I just get I've never gotten the eck
[30:46] Speaker 4: harder than that situation. I dislike everything about this.
[30:51] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[30:51] Speaker 3: Well, I oh, I know a girl that she had
[30:55] Speaker 3: like her own company really young and sold it and
[30:57] Speaker 3: made like a ton of money. It was like a
[30:59] Speaker 3: boss and like was just had her thing going. And
[31:01] Speaker 3: she met this guy who was also like a really
[31:03] Speaker 3: wealthy man. I think he was like a client of
[31:04] Speaker 3: hers or something. And they're married now and they had
[31:06] Speaker 3: a significant age.
[31:07] Speaker 1: Gap, but like how significant, like.
[31:12] Speaker 3: Twenty years probably okay significant, Yeah, But for whatever reason,
[31:17] Speaker 3: they're still together. They have a kid together. Like it
[31:20] Speaker 3: it worked. And I don't know if that was because
[31:21] Speaker 3: she went through something where she was in control, so
[31:24] Speaker 3: she wasn't like she needed right, It wasn't like an
[31:27] Speaker 3: authority thing. I think they just connected and had a
[31:30] Speaker 3: relate and then it developed into a relationship. So I'm
[31:33] Speaker 3: not saying I don't think it can be there, but
[31:36] Speaker 3: intentionally dating someone knowing that there's a significant age gap
[31:40] Speaker 3: from the beginning, I don't know, there's something about it.
[31:43] Speaker 1: I know.
[31:44] Speaker 8: I also think the state of the world we're in
[31:46] Speaker 8: right now and like just like what we're seeing with
[31:50] Speaker 8: like the men in power, it's like, I don't know,
[31:54] Speaker 8: I don't like it.
[31:55] Speaker 1: I'm with you, it's like really creeping me out. And
[31:57] Speaker 1: I like, I have this this debate. I was like,
[32:00] Speaker 1: I don't really want to support this show, like I
[32:02] Speaker 1: don't want to give it, having like a moral dilemma
[32:06] Speaker 1: because I'm like I am like I am into it,
[32:11] Speaker 1: and on the other hand, I'm like there's something in
[32:13] Speaker 1: my morality that like I don't want to give it streams,
[32:16] Speaker 1: I don't want to talk about it, like and here
[32:18] Speaker 1: we go and here we are doing both, Yeah, giving
[32:20] Speaker 1: it the most.
[32:21] Speaker 3: Listen, if you're listening and you have a successful, healthy
[32:25] Speaker 3: age gap relationship, I want to know how it came
[32:31] Speaker 3: about and how you connect.
[32:34] Speaker 1: And we will give you a platform. Yes, yes, we
[32:37] Speaker 1: will talk to me. Will we will hear you out?
[32:41] Speaker 1: You know what I found interesting? And again, pardon me
[32:43] Speaker 1: that I've only watched the first two episodes. I feel
[32:46] Speaker 1: like Natalie is speaking a lot more than Nick, so
[32:49] Speaker 1: much more. Why is that maybe the host woman the power?
[32:54] Speaker 1: Let's give the woman the mic. I love Natalie, so
[32:57] Speaker 1: I was like, okay, great, but I noticed that too.
[33:00] Speaker 1: I was like, she's talking a lot more than him.
[33:02] Speaker 3: Like did they like cut it and recut all her
[33:04] Speaker 3: like re? I couldn't tell if they were like re,
[33:07] Speaker 3: Uh what's it called?
[33:08] Speaker 1: Were you voiceovered? Yeah?
[33:10] Speaker 3: Yeah, because you could hear them talking and it's showing
[33:13] Speaker 3: the audience.
[33:15] Speaker 1: Yeah, oh so I don't know.
[33:17] Speaker 3: Interesting but anyways, Yeah, it is uh fascinating, and we
[33:22] Speaker 3: would love to hear from you if you're in at
[33:23] Speaker 3: least situation that's like good, like that you are pro
[33:27] Speaker 3: pro age gap.
[33:28] Speaker 2: Yeah, we won't to hear about it.
[33:29] Speaker 1: I'd love to hear your Actually, I would. I welcome
[33:31] Speaker 1: your perspective because I do think that I'm having a
[33:35] Speaker 1: very like viscerally negative, uh feeling about it right now. Yeah,
[33:41] Speaker 1: just from the show.
[33:42] Speaker 4: Yeah, like something when you get to a certain age,
[33:45] Speaker 4: I think, like over thirty, if there's like a ten
[33:47] Speaker 4: year age gap, like like if your partner's forty and
[33:50] Speaker 4: your thirty. I feel like, culturally, yeah, it's pretty much.
[33:53] Speaker 1: The same how I am for eight years.
[33:55] Speaker 4: I have such a hard time not thinking about is
[33:58] Speaker 4: doing the math at the earlier part of life, Like god,
[34:00] Speaker 4: when so when Nick was twenty one Natalie was two, two, no.
[34:07] Speaker 2: Three, three?
[34:08] Speaker 4: Like I that part and I know that they did
[34:10] Speaker 4: not know each other, not like yeah, that should not
[34:13] Speaker 4: take into yeah, I should not take that into account,
[34:15] Speaker 4: but I do. I think about that all the time,
[34:16] Speaker 4: like wow, when she was in high school, he was,
[34:18] Speaker 4: Oh god, yeah, I just I think about that.
[34:21] Speaker 3: I mean, I think that's probably where the reaction comes from,
[34:25] Speaker 3: because you go to that.
[34:27] Speaker 2: But I agree.
[34:28] Speaker 3: I think at a certain age you kind of go okay,
[34:30] Speaker 3: I connect with who I connect with. I think when
[34:32] Speaker 3: you're in this developmental stage, which I still think early
[34:35] Speaker 3: twenties of the twenties is like a learning yourself and
[34:39] Speaker 3: about who you are and what you want. And then
[34:41] Speaker 3: I feel like after, you know, after thirty, you kind
[34:43] Speaker 3: of like have a sense of self, so you're able.
[34:46] Speaker 1: I don't know there is like also correct me if
[34:48] Speaker 1: I'm wrong here, but my impression from watching them when
[34:51] Speaker 1: they revealed their ages, like every guy when he found
[34:55] Speaker 1: out the girl was like twenty two or twenty seven,
[34:57] Speaker 1: was like the girl, and like the girls were kind
[35:02] Speaker 1: of like, yeah, I think I can work with that,
[35:07] Speaker 1: Like do you know what I mean younger girl? Yeah,
[35:09] Speaker 1: Like they were like I did fall in love with him,
[35:13] Speaker 1: like knowing his soul, so maybe that you know what
[35:16] Speaker 1: I mean, Like they have it. I feel like they're
[35:17] Speaker 1: having to like talk themselves into it, which is like
[35:20] Speaker 1: sad to me, but also.
[35:21] Speaker 3: You and then the older women are like, oh my god,
[35:24] Speaker 3: like when they hear the age, they're like no, like
[35:27] Speaker 3: they're like, can is this?
[35:29] Speaker 1: Can I do it? Like Teresa, is she the stylist? No,
[35:33] Speaker 1: she's the like I think she's fifty four and her
[35:35] Speaker 1: boyfriend or the guy is like Prince Harry, he's like
[35:37] Speaker 1: twenty seconds. She's a stylist. She's so cute. I love her.
[35:41] Speaker 1: But her reaction was so like, well, well, yes, yeah.
[35:45] Speaker 4: She is fifty four, Yeah.
[35:47] Speaker 1: Thank you, yeah, yes, I agree, like well thought out,
[35:50] Speaker 1: like the wheels were turning, like.
[35:52] Speaker 3: He's younger than my oldest son, okay, because she thought
[35:56] Speaker 3: he was older. But she's kind of like it wasn't it.
[35:58] Speaker 3: It wasn't like a immediate I'm okay with that.
[36:01] Speaker 1: It was like processed. Yeah, we're poorhead didn't even tell
[36:05] Speaker 1: his girl he's got three kids. Yeah, yeah, okay, that's
[36:08] Speaker 1: where I left off. He has two kids, but he
[36:11] Speaker 1: hasn't told her. I'm like, okay, nobody needs to ask
[36:16] Speaker 1: you if you have children. I'm sorry she never asked.
[36:19] Speaker 1: You don't have to ask someone. That's just part of
[36:21] Speaker 1: conversation that comes up when you're getting to know someone.
[36:24] Speaker 1: She said, he said, and he said, I don't want
[36:27] Speaker 1: to have it outside of the marriage. That'd be a
[36:29] Speaker 1: great time to say I've had with my previous marriage. Yeah.
[36:35] Speaker 1: Like it was so gas lighty. I was just like, yeah,
[36:39] Speaker 1: so yeah, and that's where I'm at.
[36:41] Speaker 2: Yeah, same, that's where we're at too.
[36:43] Speaker 1: It's tough and and like there's nothing else to watch
[36:50] Speaker 1: right now because we finished the UK Traders and like
[36:53] Speaker 1: Love Island doesn't start till June. Like I've got nothing
[36:56] Speaker 1: to like quench my appetite.
[36:58] Speaker 2: I started Love is Blind UK.
[37:01] Speaker 1: Wow, that's a path I don't think I can. Oh,
[37:05] Speaker 1: you have boundaries for that. I can only do Love
[37:11] Speaker 1: Island both ways global global and Traders global. I can't
[37:16] Speaker 1: do multiple more than two.
[37:18] Speaker 3: Well, if your moral dilemma is so strong that you
[37:20] Speaker 3: can't watch Age of Attraction, then maybe you can open
[37:23] Speaker 3: your open your world to.
[37:28] Speaker 1: We started extract. Have you heard of it? No?
[37:31] Speaker 4: Oh wait, it's like they're like stuck in the middle
[37:33] Speaker 4: of yeah.
[37:34] Speaker 1: Themselves and their families like watching and monitoring them, and
[37:37] Speaker 1: they can like send them supplies and stuff. Yeah, that's
[37:40] Speaker 1: desperate times.
[37:43] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[37:43] Speaker 1: But oh and you know what other show we're watching
[37:45] Speaker 1: is The Dean The Dean Bachelor mansion flip show. Yes,
[37:52] Speaker 1: although it's once a week and it's one episode a week,
[37:54] Speaker 1: so I'm like, hello.
[37:56] Speaker 3: Wait, there was something so funny about Dean having immunity
[38:00] Speaker 3: and leading them to that god awful blue ceiling and
[38:03] Speaker 3: bad idea. The idea could have worked, but the linen,
[38:08] Speaker 3: the linens and everything nothing work.
[38:09] Speaker 1: Yes, I agree, I agree. The linens were a bad joy.
[38:12] Speaker 3: Like He's such a little turn like leading them through
[38:15] Speaker 3: and being like, well if they get if they don't
[38:17] Speaker 3: like it, it's not on me.
[38:19] Speaker 1: I like the idea. I just think the blue they
[38:21] Speaker 1: chose was a little toy story. I feel like it
[38:23] Speaker 1: could have been like a softer blue.
[38:25] Speaker 3: Yeah, in different linens. It could have been all white
[38:27] Speaker 3: if they wanted to make it more meekly.
[38:28] Speaker 1: Let me be honest. I'm not one to give my
[38:31] Speaker 1: opinion about interior decorating. It's not my forte so I'm
[38:34] Speaker 1: not here to judge. No, but you know what looks good?
[38:37] Speaker 3: Yes?
[38:38] Speaker 1: Yes, but I was excited about the Santorini room, like
[38:40] Speaker 1: I thought it was like and the other room I
[38:41] Speaker 1: thought was beautiful. My god, I was like, got robbed
[38:44] Speaker 1: from that wind. To be honest, the girl's room looked
[38:46] Speaker 1: like a giant cluster. I was like, I would have
[38:49] Speaker 1: anxiety if I lived in this room.
[38:51] Speaker 3: Yeah, some really strong personalities. I was like intimidated watching you.
[38:56] Speaker 1: I don't enjoy though, what let's.
[38:58] Speaker 2: Talk about it when we come back.
[39:16] Speaker 3: We're back, yah, scare of me? I want to expected now, okay,
[39:24] Speaker 3: so what what is something you can't say?
[39:28] Speaker 1: Oh? And this is just a food for thought for
[39:31] Speaker 1: my HG TV people that work you know, I love
[39:34] Speaker 1: I love criticizing shows, although I have zero a legs
[39:39] Speaker 1: to stand on when it comes to this stuff. I
[39:42] Speaker 1: don't like that their peers are the ones judging them, Like,
[39:46] Speaker 1: who are Tasha and Tyler to tell Dean what's better?
[39:49] Speaker 1: Do you know?
[39:49] Speaker 2: What I mean is in that industry, but I don't
[39:51] Speaker 2: know indeed.
[39:53] Speaker 1: Yeah, and so was that other chick I don't know
[39:56] Speaker 1: her name.
[39:56] Speaker 2: But wouldn't you want someone who's in the industry to judge.
[40:00] Speaker 1: Not my peers? Like it would be like, let's say
[40:03] Speaker 1: you and I go. You're saying, like you and I
[40:05] Speaker 1: go to on a cooking show, we're on Next Level Chef,
[40:07] Speaker 1: and you're judging my meals. I'd be like, who are
[40:10] Speaker 1: you to judge my meals? Do you know what I mean?
[40:12] Speaker 4: You think they should have like real contractors there as
[40:15] Speaker 4: opposed to Chip.
[40:17] Speaker 1: And Joe in a game yea, or like the judges
[40:19] Speaker 1: y or like like they had Christina Hawk Hack. I
[40:21] Speaker 1: don't know how I think it's Hawk come in to
[40:24] Speaker 1: judge one of them like that. I like that, like
[40:27] Speaker 1: bring in like these these like.
[40:29] Speaker 2: People that are from other like renovation shows.
[40:32] Speaker 1: Yes, Like I don't like that. It's I don't like that.
[40:34] Speaker 1: It's like they're peers because they're saying relationships there. Yeah,
[40:38] Speaker 1: but it doesn't feel equal, and I don't like that.
[40:41] Speaker 4: We're recapping in on the almost famous podcast The Bend
[40:43] Speaker 4: in Ashley Hye and another iHeartRadio podcast and a complaint
[40:47] Speaker 4: they have is the.
[40:48] Speaker 1: Contest scrubbing in on other podcasts.
[40:51] Speaker 4: Tanya, non stop. That is all anyone asks me about,
[40:54] Speaker 4: is scrubbing in. I plug it constantly. Anyone out there
[40:58] Speaker 4: who listens to uh, Stars Hollow Style, are you a Charlotte?
[41:04] Speaker 2: I think Stars Hollow Style are all.
[41:07] Speaker 4: Scrubbers, entirely scrubbers listening.
[41:10] Speaker 1: I just want to make sure because you and Mark
[41:12] Speaker 1: are always plugging these other podcasts.
[41:14] Speaker 4: You know, Hey, how about this, how about an anti plug?
[41:15] Speaker 4: Don't download the Ben and Ashley I they're fine, they're fine,
[41:21] Speaker 4: but they don't like the other contestants being able to
[41:24] Speaker 4: eliminate each other like that elimination at the end.
[41:27] Speaker 1: Yeah, oh no, that's very survivor vibes.
[41:29] Speaker 2: I don't like that either.
[41:30] Speaker 3: I wish that Tasa, Tayshia and Tyler voted or whoever
[41:34] Speaker 3: the judge was vouting.
[41:36] Speaker 4: What are the judges doing then? Yeah?
[41:38] Speaker 2: If not for that, literally, that's what I was trying
[41:40] Speaker 2: to figure.
[41:40] Speaker 3: I'm like, why are they the judges if they don't
[41:42] Speaker 3: have a say in who's staying or going?
[41:44] Speaker 1: Do though? Because they pick the winning team so those
[41:46] Speaker 1: people are safe, so they kind of do.
[41:48] Speaker 3: Yeah, but I'm just saying, like, at the end of
[41:50] Speaker 3: the day, it's like, why not have the guest judge
[41:52] Speaker 3: be like, this is who I would vote off?
[41:53] Speaker 1: This is It's very Survivor, which we loved, which I love,
[41:57] Speaker 1: so like I'm here for the self eliminating each other.
[42:04] Speaker 4: It's hurt.
[42:05] Speaker 1: Yeah, but I just don't like that the peers are judging,
[42:09] Speaker 1: like it's really bothering me. It's season one.
[42:11] Speaker 3: You know, maybe they'll get in a groove and and
[42:15] Speaker 3: maybe that'll be the complaint from other viewers.
[42:18] Speaker 1: Yeah, they'll listen to I would just like non bias judges.
[42:24] Speaker 4: What do you do for season two? Do you re
[42:26] Speaker 4: uh you renovate?
[42:29] Speaker 6: Yes?
[42:30] Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, that's that place. Hello, I know it's intomb
[42:35] Speaker 4: now it was in Mexico.
[42:37] Speaker 3: Uh no, it's in Costa Rican now.
[42:41] Speaker 4: It's in Costa Rica now. Yes, but before it was
[42:43] Speaker 4: at the same hotel for years.
[42:45] Speaker 1: It was right next to where you got married.
[42:46] Speaker 4: And yes, yes, I was what.
[42:49] Speaker 1: I think it was to Loom.
[42:51] Speaker 2: I don't know if they ever did it, Tom, but yeah,
[42:53] Speaker 2: they could renovate that.
[42:54] Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean what else did you do?
[42:55] Speaker 1: You're right after the season, like, what else is there?
[42:57] Speaker 1: But I guess they could.
[42:58] Speaker 2: Do it, like to flip homes.
[43:00] Speaker 3: Think of just buy a flip home and bring a
[43:01] Speaker 3: bunch of bachelor people to someone who just bought a
[43:05] Speaker 3: home and is wanting.
[43:06] Speaker 1: To flip it.
[43:06] Speaker 2: Would die to just be like, here, give.
[43:08] Speaker 1: It to a show. We're a bachelor contestant. Yes, recognis
[43:12] Speaker 1: renovate my home, risky risky. Yeah, we're enjoying it too.
[43:19] Speaker 1: I just like seeing I love Dean. I just like
[43:22] Speaker 1: to see Dean on my ID to we like text
[43:27] Speaker 1: him while we're watching. We're in like a group chat
[43:29] Speaker 1: and you know, like Rob and I just kind of
[43:31] Speaker 1: like and I was like, are you do you enjoy
[43:35] Speaker 1: these text or do they bother you? He's like no,
[43:36] Speaker 1: I like him, Like, okay, very self aware of these days.
[43:40] Speaker 1: I'm so proud of you. Thank you.
[43:42] Speaker 3: We when we talked to Jessica on our episode last week,
[43:45] Speaker 3: we hadn't seen the reunion yet, so I just want
[43:48] Speaker 3: to discuss some of the highlights because okay, this is
[43:51] Speaker 3: all yeah, love his fun.
[43:54] Speaker 1: Yeah, gearing shifts, shifting gears well still reality TV. Yeah,
[43:58] Speaker 1: that's why I brought it up.
[44:01] Speaker 3: Okay, this is the tenth season of Love Is Blind, right, Yes,
[44:06] Speaker 3: why on a reunion show.
[44:08] Speaker 1: I know what you're gonna say, are we.
[44:11] Speaker 3: Why does it feel like it's season one? Like they're
[44:14] Speaker 3: like just getting started. It's like, why are we panning
[44:18] Speaker 3: to the audience?
[44:19] Speaker 1: Wait?
[44:19] Speaker 3: There was so much to disc I get it if
[44:21] Speaker 3: there wasn't a lot of juiciness going on this season,
[44:24] Speaker 3: but it was like it.
[44:25] Speaker 1: Was jam packed juice, like they had enough juice to
[44:28] Speaker 1: discover two hours of footage. Yes, I agree with you.
[44:33] Speaker 1: I'm like, I didn't need the Q and A for
[44:36] Speaker 1: I was like having to like squint my eyes even
[44:39] Speaker 1: like know who these people were, because every time I
[44:41] Speaker 1: watch a season, it's like in my head and then gone,
[44:44] Speaker 1: Like they're just like gone, And if I want to
[44:46] Speaker 1: keep up with them, I'll follow them on Instagram like
[44:48] Speaker 1: any normal human like stock them on Instagram. I don't
[44:50] Speaker 1: need you wasting precious airtime on my season ten reunion.
[44:54] Speaker 9: With season five or like, yeah, a gender reveal with
[44:58] Speaker 9: the posture, so it was like not appropriate, Yeah, it
[45:05] Speaker 9: is so okay.
[45:08] Speaker 3: There there was a dilemma because when we talked to Jessica,
[45:10] Speaker 3: she was like, we're all the girls are close, So
[45:12] Speaker 3: I thought it was gonna be very like girls girls girls,
[45:16] Speaker 3: and there's clearly a divide, but.
[45:19] Speaker 1: I can't decide who's in the divide.
[45:21] Speaker 3: Well, it's Pre and then Pre who wasn't we never
[45:25] Speaker 3: saw really she didn't have a story. And Ashley Yeah,
[45:29] Speaker 3: and then Brittany, Jessica, Amber and Emma Oh really okay.
[45:35] Speaker 1: I felt like Amber was kind of I think Amber
[45:39] Speaker 1: is floating amongst uh yeah.
[45:42] Speaker 2: I don't know. Yeah, stands, but I have a few
[45:47] Speaker 2: things to say.
[45:49] Speaker 3: When Amber stormed off the stage, I don't know if it.
[45:52] Speaker 1: Was edited to where it felt that abrupt, but I
[45:54] Speaker 1: was like, whoa.
[45:55] Speaker 3: We went from like zero to a thousand and she
[45:57] Speaker 3: was gone, Like okay, sire. Why wasn't anyone questioning Breemore?
[46:04] Speaker 3: I feel like barely no one was like to question
[46:08] Speaker 3: her her really her conversation with Chris that much. They
[46:11] Speaker 3: didn't really question her conversation.
[46:13] Speaker 1: With contrast breaking off Breezy Eazy Breezy.
[46:17] Speaker 3: The after effects have been tough, Like everyone needs to
[46:20] Speaker 3: remember these people are humans. They did sign up for
[46:23] Speaker 3: a TV show, But like as someone who's been on
[46:26] Speaker 3: a TV show, you don't realize how much of an
[46:28] Speaker 3: opinion people are going to have on your decisions or
[46:31] Speaker 3: how it's going to be edited until you do, and
[46:33] Speaker 3: it's it's a lot, so you know you can be
[46:38] Speaker 3: question someone's uh choice.
[46:40] Speaker 1: Yeah, And like I honestly had a little bit of
[46:42] Speaker 1: an issue with the way, like I actually like Nick
[46:44] Speaker 1: and Vanessa. I like them as hosts, and I think
[46:46] Speaker 1: they usually do a pretty good job. But this reunion
[46:49] Speaker 1: I felt like they were really condemning people in a
[46:53] Speaker 1: way that like.
[46:56] Speaker 2: I don't know, like you need to get therapy, and
[46:58] Speaker 2: it's like I don't know that you're.
[47:00] Speaker 1: Yeah, Like it just felt very like look like like
[47:04] Speaker 1: you said, everybody is coming in at these people, like
[47:07] Speaker 1: especially what's his name, Chris, the guy like obviously we
[47:10] Speaker 1: all hate him and he said and did horrible things,
[47:13] Speaker 1: but like the way that he was treated, the way
[47:16] Speaker 1: he was spoken to at the reunion to me was
[47:18] Speaker 1: just like that's not your place as a host, do
[47:21] Speaker 1: you know what I mean? To like condemn and like
[47:25] Speaker 1: we've all made mistakes. If if we'd filmed all of
[47:27] Speaker 1: our lives, like I'm sure a lot of us have
[47:29] Speaker 1: said and done horrible things that we're not even aware of,
[47:32] Speaker 1: you know what I mean. And so it's just like
[47:33] Speaker 1: I think the way it was handled, which is like
[47:35] Speaker 1: a little bit too like aggressive in that way, which
[47:39] Speaker 1: like rubbed me wrong a little bit.
[47:40] Speaker 3: Well, you also have to think about people's mental health,
[47:43] Speaker 3: like these are human beings, and like he's on this
[47:45] Speaker 3: not like international stage that people are watching.
[47:48] Speaker 1: From all over the world, and it's to edit it.
[47:50] Speaker 3: Like that's not a live reunion so anything. Even if
[47:54] Speaker 3: they asked him a question, he didn't give them anything.
[47:56] Speaker 3: They could have just cut it out and not even
[47:57] Speaker 3: addressed him.
[47:58] Speaker 8: You know.
[47:59] Speaker 3: Yeah, I just felt like at a certain point, it's
[48:02] Speaker 3: like he did and said some horrible things, and I
[48:04] Speaker 3: hope that he's looking inward and reflecting on that after
[48:07] Speaker 3: seeing it on TV. But I don't think it's someone's
[48:09] Speaker 3: place to criticize or condemn to the point where you go, like,
[48:13] Speaker 3: I hope he doesn't harm himself, and that's like a reality.
[48:16] Speaker 1: Of yeah, Like I honestly think he was like on
[48:18] Speaker 1: Beta Blockers, like he did not he looked like he
[48:20] Speaker 1: was out to lunch that whole reunion, like he was
[48:22] Speaker 1: just like there but like not there.
[48:25] Speaker 3: I saw Vic say that that he was like where
[48:28] Speaker 3: he's like listen, you know, it's one thing holding people
[48:31] Speaker 3: accountable for their actions It's another thing like thinking about
[48:33] Speaker 3: people's mental health and like what they're going to do,
[48:37] Speaker 3: you know, outside of being on this public stage.
[48:40] Speaker 1: Yeah, but.
[48:44] Speaker 3: I was shocked to see, well Jessica made it seem
[48:46] Speaker 3: like Amber and Jordan were still together.
[48:48] Speaker 1: Yes, and I was I was devastated with that.
[48:53] Speaker 3: You were like, yes, I was only worried about them,
[48:55] Speaker 3: and I'm glad they're still.
[48:57] Speaker 1: To King and Queen And now like that, it shattered me.
[49:01] Speaker 1: They couldn't be more not together, couldn't be couldn't be
[49:04] Speaker 1: further apart, couldn't be further apart. I'm like, on both
[49:07] Speaker 1: of their sides.
[49:08] Speaker 2: They just were not right for each other.
[49:10] Speaker 1: Correct. Yeah, And and also like I want to say,
[49:14] Speaker 1: like she she was like, you don't do that. You
[49:16] Speaker 1: don't make that promise with somebody that has a kid,
[49:19] Speaker 1: as someone who dated somebody that had a kid, Like
[49:22] Speaker 1: you really don't know what it's like until you're in it,
[49:25] Speaker 1: do you know what I mean? Like, you can't predict,
[49:28] Speaker 1: you can't make like a commitment until you Like again,
[49:32] Speaker 1: they're on a TV show and they have a limited
[49:33] Speaker 1: amount of time, so it's like it's a totally different situation.
[49:36] Speaker 1: But like you can't make these promises and until you're
[49:39] Speaker 1: in it and you like live life with these kids
[49:42] Speaker 1: in this as a family, do you know, Like that's
[49:44] Speaker 1: when you really experience it. And so like I was like,
[49:46] Speaker 1: she's kind of throwing it in his face that he
[49:48] Speaker 1: did something like nasty to her child when I don't
[49:51] Speaker 1: think that was his intention at all, not at all. Yeah, yeah,
[49:54] Speaker 1: I just think like the two like even said, like
[49:57] Speaker 1: the two of them didn't get along, had nothing to
[49:58] Speaker 1: do with for having a kid. But yeah, the and
[50:02] Speaker 1: then did we not learn anything from the reunion with
[50:06] Speaker 1: the basketball hoops? I'm like, why are we watching Devonte
[50:11] Speaker 1: and oh Alex Alex shoots soccer balls at each other?
[50:16] Speaker 3: Why are they living together when his pregnant fiance lives
[50:19] Speaker 3: in Ohio.
[50:21] Speaker 1: That's what I'm trying to Why are we watching them
[50:23] Speaker 1: for soccer shoot out like on the reunion? And then
[50:26] Speaker 1: what's this musical guest Like, oh.
[50:30] Speaker 2: My god, it was a minute? What are we doing?
[50:33] Speaker 2: They they It's there's been too many seasons to excuse it.
[50:37] Speaker 1: Like I as an avid TV watcher, I would just
[50:40] Speaker 1: like to be a consultant on the I will give
[50:42] Speaker 1: my advice for free because I do like that they
[50:46] Speaker 1: have the old contestants back in the audience. I do
[50:48] Speaker 1: feel like it. It makes them probably feel more comfortable
[50:52] Speaker 1: instead of having like, you know, strangers that they you know, like,
[50:56] Speaker 1: they have their peers there and it's not as like intimidating. Maybe,
[50:58] Speaker 1: so I like having them as guests audience. Do we
[51:02] Speaker 1: need an audience though? Oh? I just don't need questions
[51:07] Speaker 1: from them or like moments with them.
[51:08] Speaker 5: You know.
[51:09] Speaker 3: But someone someone like posted photos from like them being
[51:14] Speaker 3: in the green rooms and backstage or whatever, and they're
[51:17] Speaker 3: like eating pizza and they have like chips and snacks
[51:20] Speaker 3: on paper plates, and everyone's like, so you're gonna give
[51:24] Speaker 3: them like a black tie event and show for them
[51:26] Speaker 3: to get all styled for and you're gonna serve them
[51:28] Speaker 3: pizza on a paper.
[51:29] Speaker 2: Plate with sodas and chips.
[51:32] Speaker 1: You know what? No, No, they're budgets too big for that,
[51:36] Speaker 1: you think, Yeah, take the money that you paid for
[51:38] Speaker 1: your musical guests and give them some well what should
[51:42] Speaker 1: they give them? Filet mignon?
[51:44] Speaker 3: Maybe just sit down dinner and like sat the table
[51:47] Speaker 3: and a chicken, a chicken breast at the very least
[51:50] Speaker 3: on some china or so they have.
[51:54] Speaker 1: Some good looking plastic silverware. Now we can do better.
[52:00] Speaker 1: I set up a tablescape with Amazon plus. D oh
[52:04] Speaker 1: me too, stunning, stunning. That is so funny, I have
[52:11] Speaker 1: It's funny that. Okay, So peeling back the curtain, feel
[52:15] Speaker 1: feel back on how we did the podcast. But we
[52:17] Speaker 1: interviewed jess that Tuesday, which is why Becka said we
[52:20] Speaker 1: hadn't watched the reunion. They didn't give it to us,
[52:22] Speaker 1: but they basically told us, well, we thought, yeah, there
[52:26] Speaker 1: are some things that were wrong, however whatever, but uh
[52:31] Speaker 1: so we were told that we couldn't air Jessica until today,
[52:35] Speaker 1: this is the following Monday, and which is a bummer
[52:39] Speaker 1: because I do feel like now that we're talking about it,
[52:41] Speaker 1: I'm like, I feel like the reunion was is so
[52:43] Speaker 1: old at this point.
[52:44] Speaker 2: I still see people talking about it, which is why
[52:46] Speaker 2: I brought it up.
[52:47] Speaker 1: So but I'm so glad because me Tanya, sitting in
[52:51] Speaker 1: my bed, I'm scrolling, scrolling, and I'm seeing all these
[52:54] Speaker 1: Love is blind people doing podcasts. So I'm like, poke,
[52:57] Speaker 1: poke to our producers, Look what's happening. All the people
[53:00] Speaker 1: are talking like why are we embargoed until Monday? So
[53:03] Speaker 1: then we got to the bottom of it. It was
[53:05] Speaker 1: just Jessica and her new boyfriend was the embargo until Monday.
[53:10] Speaker 1: But Jessica herself we could unleash. So we unleashed her
[53:15] Speaker 1: her episode, her episode last week, and we held on
[53:17] Speaker 1: to the embargoed part of the interview, which was her
[53:20] Speaker 1: and Harmal Harmle together on the podcast. Yeah, but I
[53:25] Speaker 1: felt really like proud of myself for like getting in there.
[53:28] Speaker 2: Proud of you because you were relentless.
[53:30] Speaker 1: I was like, Tanya's texting the group toad again, what
[53:33] Speaker 1: is she sending? And it's like another kept sending that
[53:36] Speaker 1: more interviews, this person's on this podcast, this person's on that.
[53:39] Speaker 1: I was like, why is ours held till Monday. I
[53:41] Speaker 1: just didn't appreciate that we were being held to a
[53:43] Speaker 1: different standard than other podcasts.
[53:45] Speaker 3: And I agree, Oh, we weren't a bunch of taste
[53:49] Speaker 3: back responses so much.
[53:51] Speaker 1: I take that. What why?
[53:53] Speaker 3: I forgot about the taste back of it all? And
[53:55] Speaker 3: I got so many messages. I was like, oh my god,
[53:57] Speaker 3: I forgot this is what we said, tory.
[54:00] Speaker 1: So many taste back messages so real validated in my theory,
[54:05] Speaker 1: well our theory. What was your theory that people listen
[54:08] Speaker 1: in twenty minute increments, but they come back to finish
[54:10] Speaker 1: the episode. So like us doing shorter episodes, wasn't behooving
[54:14] Speaker 1: our listeners longer. Yes, it wasn't behooving anyone because we
[54:17] Speaker 1: were like, oh, if they're only listening for twenty minutes,
[54:18] Speaker 1: then we're not listening to forty minutes. But no, they're
[54:22] Speaker 1: listening in increments of twenty minutes but coming back to
[54:25] Speaker 1: finish episode.
[54:27] Speaker 3: So we won't be doing twenty minute episodes. Don't worry.
[54:31] Speaker 3: They won't be getting shorter.
[54:32] Speaker 1: No, and we care getting longer as the days get longer.
[54:36] Speaker 3: And the days are getting longer and warmer and warmer.
[54:39] Speaker 3: So well, so should we release the harmle the Harmor files.
[54:44] Speaker 1: Yeah, just harb Yeah yeah, So we're going to tack
[54:47] Speaker 1: on our Jessica and Harmal portion of our interview to
[54:51] Speaker 1: the end of this episode for your enjoyment. Please listen
[54:55] Speaker 1: to it and give us your feedback. Yeah, let us
[54:58] Speaker 1: know what.
[54:59] Speaker 3: You think about this new couple and we'll be back
[55:05] Speaker 3: on Thursday with the dear Boy. Yeah, and something very
[55:12] Speaker 3: important is happening this weekend.
[55:13] Speaker 4: That's right, The East Awards are this weekend Saturday the
[55:16] Speaker 4: twenty first, and if you're not in LA, you can
[55:18] Speaker 4: watch it on a stream Eastwards dot com. You can
[55:21] Speaker 4: get your tickets. It's a lot of fun. It's got
[55:24] Speaker 4: a lot of crazy stuff happening. I have definitely over
[55:27] Speaker 4: extended myself with a lot of moving parts. It will
[55:30] Speaker 4: be very funny to see how it all crashes down
[55:32] Speaker 4: on me. But I wanted to say I put I
[55:35] Speaker 4: put taste back in the show. It's hidden. If you
[55:39] Speaker 4: watch the Eastwards, there will be Taste Back hidden somewhere.
[55:43] Speaker 1: The words are words, not the song.
[55:46] Speaker 4: I don't know the rights to that. You kidding me?
[55:48] Speaker 4: The words taste back, the words tasteback or in the show,
[55:53] Speaker 4: And if you DM me where that you saw it,
[55:57] Speaker 4: I'll send you an ecwords hat or something. I don't know.
[56:00] Speaker 3: But yeah, you've really up to the east Awards from
[56:03] Speaker 3: like significantly this year.
[56:05] Speaker 4: Yes, it's it's at the Allegian Theater. If you're in
[56:07] Speaker 4: l A and they are as of this recording, there
[56:09] Speaker 4: are still tickets available and it's gonna be a lot
[56:11] Speaker 4: of fun, you guys. So yeah, I'll see it on
[56:14] Speaker 4: the twenty first, Right, you're talking about this on Thursday.
[56:18] Speaker 4: We will not mention these awards on Thursday.
[56:20] Speaker 3: No, No, this is your this is your heads upwards.
[56:24] Speaker 2: Yeah and following easton on.
[56:26] Speaker 4: Oh yeah at Eastern follow me.
[56:28] Speaker 6: Come on, I need this.
[56:31] Speaker 2: We love y'all so much.
[56:33] Speaker 1: Love you don't enjoy Jessica and Harmel.
[56:36] Speaker 7: Please enjoy.
[56:53] Speaker 1: Everyone.
[56:54] Speaker 2: Harmel has joined us. They're very cute. They're smiling and
[57:05] Speaker 2: staring at each other.
[57:08] Speaker 1: So we got a little bit of the rundown of
[57:11] Speaker 1: kind of you were in the pods you left because
[57:15] Speaker 1: it was just like overwhelming, which I actually could under
[57:17] Speaker 1: I can understand. Yeah, just not even having my phone
[57:20] Speaker 1: or a computer for like days on end, Well, huh
[57:23] Speaker 1: make me in my head too much? I think, Yeah, I.
[57:25] Speaker 6: Know for sure. I think.
[57:26] Speaker 5: I think for me, I had like a I was saying,
[57:29] Speaker 5: somewhat of a unique mindset going in. I think like
[57:32] Speaker 5: coming in, I was very conscious of like whatever I
[57:34] Speaker 5: say or do on TV, the Brown people don't get
[57:37] Speaker 5: like screen time very much, and so I felt like
[57:39] Speaker 5: I was representing like my family and my culture and
[57:41] Speaker 5: all these things, and so not that I was like
[57:43] Speaker 5: walk on eggshells, but.
[57:44] Speaker 6: I was very very aware of whatever.
[57:47] Speaker 5: My pursuit is, which was Jess, But like, whatever I
[57:51] Speaker 5: decide I want to chase after that, there are more
[57:53] Speaker 5: consequences than just me, and so I like I think
[57:56] Speaker 5: sometimes people forget that, and I just was very aware
[57:59] Speaker 5: of that early on.
[58:00] Speaker 1: What's your background, Like where your parents from?
[58:02] Speaker 5: So my parents are from Punjab, which is northwest India, Okay,
[58:05] Speaker 5: So like they moved here as immigrants, and like they
[58:06] Speaker 5: just like the amount of sacrifice they had for me
[58:08] Speaker 5: and my brother and stuff like that is not something
[58:10] Speaker 5: I take for granted in anyway. And so like I
[58:13] Speaker 5: like really really care about That's like the cultural thing,
[58:15] Speaker 5: the heritage thing, is like very important to me.
[58:17] Speaker 6: And so I walked in with that understanding.
[58:19] Speaker 5: I was like, I want to be the best version
[58:20] Speaker 5: of myself, not to reflect on me, but my parents
[58:22] Speaker 5: and like my family and like my culture and stuff
[58:24] Speaker 5: and so and so I walked in with that and
[58:27] Speaker 5: one part of that was just like making sure I'm
[58:30] Speaker 5: doing this for the right reasons. And I actually never
[58:34] Speaker 5: wanted to be on the show. Like they reached out
[58:35] Speaker 5: and they were very persistent, they were very they were
[58:40] Speaker 5: very persistent, and eventually I was like, Okay, let's go
[58:41] Speaker 5: ahead and do this thing because I've like, I don't
[58:43] Speaker 5: really watch much reality TV, but I've seen like The
[58:46] Speaker 5: bacheloun of The Bachelorette, and it bothers me because, like
[58:50] Speaker 5: people say, it's like you know, scripted or something, but
[58:53] Speaker 5: it's like watching people get their hearts broken and people
[58:56] Speaker 5: just like it's like something to consume on TV.
[58:58] Speaker 6: It bothers me so much and so I have a
[59:00] Speaker 6: hard time watching them.
[59:01] Speaker 5: I'm like, I don't know if I can be involved
[59:02] Speaker 5: in something like that, but they're like just like watch
[59:03] Speaker 5: a season and I watched one of the early I
[59:05] Speaker 5: was like, Okay, this is like something maybe we can
[59:07] Speaker 5: do in a safe way that people aren't.
[59:08] Speaker 6: Gonna get hurt.
[59:09] Speaker 5: And so I think like as it went on, it
[59:11] Speaker 5: was like so good when I first got in my element,
[59:14] Speaker 5: I love talking about this stuff, like it's so great
[59:16] Speaker 5: connecting with people.
[59:17] Speaker 6: Uh.
[59:18] Speaker 5: And then once it got towards the end, it got
[59:19] Speaker 5: like very very real and not in a bad way,
[59:23] Speaker 5: but in a way where I was like I just
[59:24] Speaker 5: started feeling like, man, people are gonna get hurt. Like
[59:27] Speaker 5: whether it's like I'm okay with getting hurt, I'm fine,
[59:29] Speaker 5: I can deal with that, but to be the cast,
[59:31] Speaker 5: like the pain for somebody else and uh so what
[59:35] Speaker 5: like just the only reason I was even there, Like
[59:38] Speaker 5: I like when we watched into the pods, like I
[59:41] Speaker 5: didn't expect to really meet anybody. I expect to connect
[59:43] Speaker 5: to people, but like it was just like we the
[59:45] Speaker 5: number of things that happened, and I wish we could
[59:47] Speaker 5: watch it back because it was like.
[59:49] Speaker 6: Lightning moments.
[59:50] Speaker 1: Have you asked them for the footage?
[59:53] Speaker 6: Not yet.
[59:53] Speaker 10: We haven't directly asked, though.
[59:55] Speaker 5: We need the public to get involved.
[59:59] Speaker 1: I think they should, even if they don't even release
[1:00:01] Speaker 1: it on like on Netflix, they should release it on
[1:00:04] Speaker 1: like their Instagram and stuff so that people can see, Like,
[1:00:08] Speaker 1: we want to see how you guys met, Like the
[1:00:10] Speaker 1: talk about Gusher.
[1:00:12] Speaker 3: I first of all, love what you said about your
[1:00:14] Speaker 3: representation in Brown.
[1:00:16] Speaker 2: That is not something you hear a lot about.
[1:00:18] Speaker 3: Even if it's something that people are processing, it's not
[1:00:20] Speaker 3: something people talk about.
[1:00:21] Speaker 2: So I think that's such an important conversation. I want
[1:00:25] Speaker 2: to know.
[1:00:26] Speaker 3: So y'all met, it was electric of course when you left.
[1:00:31] Speaker 3: I mean, do you think if you hadn't left, would
[1:00:34] Speaker 3: y'all have had that the.
[1:00:36] Speaker 1: Moment of choosing each other and the doors opening?
[1:00:39] Speaker 5: Yeah? Yeah, Honestly, I think there's a there's a duality
[1:00:42] Speaker 5: to everything is Like, I think sometimes people use these
[1:00:44] Speaker 5: phrases that kind of exempts them from responsibility. So for example,
[1:00:49] Speaker 5: like like the universe has a plan, like God has
[1:00:51] Speaker 5: a plan, a plant like everything, and I believe that
[1:00:54] Speaker 5: to my core, I believe like everything happens for a reason.
[1:00:57] Speaker 5: But sometimes people use this escapism. We're like, oh my God,
[1:00:59] Speaker 5: like everything happens for a reason. And then but you
[1:01:02] Speaker 5: have to meet it, you know, like if like if
[1:01:05] Speaker 5: everything is in front of you on a silver platter
[1:01:07] Speaker 5: and you're afraid because something bad is gonna happen and
[1:01:09] Speaker 5: you don't meet it. Yeah, like people, the good things
[1:01:12] Speaker 5: don't happen if you're just stuck in your house the
[1:01:14] Speaker 5: entire time.
[1:01:14] Speaker 6: So I think there's like a two version of that one.
[1:01:16] Speaker 6: It's like like.
[1:01:17] Speaker 5: Look at where we are right now, and this is
[1:01:19] Speaker 5: amazing and I love it, And then I also look
[1:01:21] Speaker 5: back and I'm like, yeah, do there's some level of
[1:01:24] Speaker 5: responsibility of being like yeah, dude, that if they put
[1:01:26] Speaker 5: everything in front of you, everything was right there, you
[1:01:28] Speaker 5: had the moment you had everything, and you just didn't
[1:01:30] Speaker 5: like do it?
[1:01:33] Speaker 1: Do you guys?
[1:01:33] Speaker 6: What emotional about this stuff? Man?
[1:01:36] Speaker 1: Sign?
[1:01:37] Speaker 6: Oh what do you think my sign is?
[1:01:38] Speaker 3: We talked about this, so Tanya, I act like she's
[1:01:42] Speaker 3: gonna be able to guess everyone's signing.
[1:01:44] Speaker 6: Yeah, go ahead, are you I've heard pisces before. Now
[1:01:50] Speaker 6: I'm the cancer. I've heard cancer before. My mom is
[1:01:52] Speaker 6: a cancer, so probably.
[1:01:52] Speaker 5: A lot of my mom.
[1:01:53] Speaker 1: Scorpio No, not a scorpio.
[1:01:55] Speaker 6: No, keep going, keep going, keep going. This is great.
[1:01:57] Speaker 2: That's Oh my.
[1:01:58] Speaker 1: God, I thought a sign because you're emotional.
[1:02:01] Speaker 6: I am very emotional. Le No, I'm not too.
[1:02:06] Speaker 1: You're not a Gemini.
[1:02:07] Speaker 6: No, I'm not a Gemini.
[1:02:09] Speaker 1: Hilarious sad, sad hilarious.
[1:02:11] Speaker 4: No not.
[1:02:12] Speaker 5: Aquarius's fantastic a libra No, I'm not a libra.
[1:02:17] Speaker 6: Virgo virgo. Wow.
[1:02:20] Speaker 5: Something that makes me feel really good about that is
[1:02:23] Speaker 5: those like things when you fall into a category where
[1:02:25] Speaker 5: it's like, oh, I know what you are.
[1:02:27] Speaker 6: The fact that you came up with like eight different things.
[1:02:29] Speaker 5: I think that's the best part about humans is like
[1:02:31] Speaker 5: it's so the more complex you are, the more parts
[1:02:34] Speaker 5: you have to yourself where it's like, dude, what is
[1:02:35] Speaker 5: this thing that's in front of me? Like I think
[1:02:37] Speaker 5: everybody has that in them and it's just like, I
[1:02:39] Speaker 5: don't know that makes that made me feel really good
[1:02:41] Speaker 5: that you can pin me.
[1:02:44] Speaker 1: Down with the sign.
[1:02:47] Speaker 11: Dang, my senses are also is your your mentality is
[1:02:50] Speaker 11: kind of like, Okay, I I went what was supposed
[1:02:53] Speaker 11: to happen, I was I was supposed to talk to
[1:02:56] Speaker 11: Jess at the very leak, so I was supposed to
[1:02:57] Speaker 11: connect with her on some.
[1:02:58] Speaker 3: Level, but I had her like it was handed to me.
[1:03:02] Speaker 3: But I I walked out.
[1:03:04] Speaker 9: I did.
[1:03:05] Speaker 2: But because things work out how they're supposed.
[1:03:09] Speaker 1: To, we reconnected and here we are.
[1:03:12] Speaker 3: Yeah, that's kind of the mentality of you had to
[1:03:15] Speaker 3: make one step, which is to go on the show,
[1:03:18] Speaker 3: and that that was the one step that mattered.
[1:03:21] Speaker 1: Do you guys work at the same hospital, don't? Are
[1:03:24] Speaker 1: they close?
[1:03:24] Speaker 6: That would be a problem you.
[1:03:26] Speaker 2: Want to be a problem anatomy.
[1:03:29] Speaker 6: I can talk about it. For me, it would be
[1:03:31] Speaker 6: I would be very distracted.
[1:03:33] Speaker 1: But it's not like are they close by?
[1:03:39] Speaker 6: Not really?
[1:03:40] Speaker 1: No, But you guys have an understanding of like each
[1:03:42] Speaker 1: other's careers and lives that I think most people don't
[1:03:45] Speaker 1: really have if they're not like in it.
[1:03:47] Speaker 10: Yes, it makes it a lot easier.
[1:03:49] Speaker 1: Yeah, I want to know.
[1:03:50] Speaker 3: Did you watch the scene heard around the world that
[1:03:54] Speaker 3: we all gathered around Jessica and collectively united on something.
[1:03:58] Speaker 6: Finally, Yeah, which is great.
[1:04:00] Speaker 1: Did you did you watch it?
[1:04:02] Speaker 6: I did?
[1:04:03] Speaker 5: I definitely, I definitely watched that. Yeah, not too First
[1:04:05] Speaker 5: of all, was it hard to watch?
[1:04:08] Speaker 6: It was? Uh? Yes, And there's so many layers to things,
[1:04:12] Speaker 6: you know.
[1:04:13] Speaker 5: I think that's the thing where will people watch people
[1:04:16] Speaker 5: on TV and it's just very quick to reduce something
[1:04:18] Speaker 5: to your initial reaction like oh, this is how people should.
[1:04:21] Speaker 6: Feel about it, and there's like so much complexity to it.
[1:04:23] Speaker 5: I think the one thing I felt the most was
[1:04:27] Speaker 5: just like I was very proud of her, Like it
[1:04:29] Speaker 5: was just like, dude, to be able to handle that
[1:04:32] Speaker 5: in that way they was talking about like like oh
[1:04:37] Speaker 5: my god, everyone knows gets their flowers, but like what
[1:04:38] Speaker 5: cemeteries is it built on? And it's like how much
[1:04:41] Speaker 5: have you had to go through to be able to
[1:04:42] Speaker 5: handle that in that moment? And it's like those layers
[1:04:45] Speaker 5: that like no one sees. It's like I was like
[1:04:48] Speaker 5: very proud of her.
[1:04:49] Speaker 1: Yeah, it was.
[1:04:50] Speaker 3: It was truly amazing, Like we were just we were
[1:04:54] Speaker 3: talking about it earlier that like her The way she
[1:05:01] Speaker 3: didn't even give him something to work to react to
[1:05:06] Speaker 3: was the most powerful.
[1:05:08] Speaker 2: I was like, that's someone.
[1:05:09] Speaker 3: Who knows their worth. Like that's what I took away
[1:05:11] Speaker 3: from it. I was like, Jessica knows who she is.
[1:05:13] Speaker 3: She didn't need him to say say anything that was
[1:05:17] Speaker 3: complimentary or try to go back.
[1:05:19] Speaker 2: She was like, I don't need to hear anything else
[1:05:22] Speaker 2: from you.
[1:05:22] Speaker 3: You've said enough. And that was like very impactful. I
[1:05:26] Speaker 3: hope that people watching were able to be like, Wow,
[1:05:28] Speaker 3: that is how I hope to react to someone who
[1:05:31] Speaker 3: ever treats me that way, if I'm ever in that situation.
[1:05:34] Speaker 1: It was amazing you get over there. Yeah.
[1:05:37] Speaker 5: I just want to say for people that don't react
[1:05:39] Speaker 5: like that, you know, like it's like some grace, you know,
[1:05:41] Speaker 5: it's like, I, how can you like that? We just
[1:05:46] Speaker 5: watched like the APEX version of that thing, where it's like,
[1:05:48] Speaker 5: how do you have like self respect? How do you
[1:05:51] Speaker 5: know your worth? How do you do it in real
[1:05:53] Speaker 5: time when someone's coming at you. That's a very different
[1:05:55] Speaker 5: situation than like on a quiet Sunday when you're like, yeh, dude,
[1:05:58] Speaker 5: you're doing your mantras, you're.
[1:05:59] Speaker 1: Talking about I just have to like I've been obviously
[1:06:02] Speaker 1: not in front of cameras and like not in front
[1:06:04] Speaker 1: of any of this stuff, not from a man like
[1:06:06] Speaker 1: I have been called like Chubby this uh Plaine Jane
[1:06:10] Speaker 1: Ugly like all, like from somebody that like and my
[1:06:13] Speaker 1: I did not react the way that you did. I
[1:06:15] Speaker 1: was just like so furious and so it's like to
[1:06:19] Speaker 1: be able to handle it the way that you did,
[1:06:21] Speaker 1: like really actually inspired me to just kind of like
[1:06:26] Speaker 1: be like Gray Rock. Yeah, Gray Rock, I've never heard
[1:06:29] Speaker 1: of that, but like yeah, it was really like it
[1:06:32] Speaker 1: was something that you should be really proud of.
[1:06:34] Speaker 10: They just don't deserve any bit of you.
[1:06:36] Speaker 1: Yeah, they don't. Yeah. So you what was the first date,
[1:06:41] Speaker 1: like when y'all reconnected, what was the first date, because.
[1:06:49] Speaker 10: I've been talking like.
[1:06:50] Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah, Well the first day was like we
[1:06:54] Speaker 5: we ended up so we ended up going to like
[1:06:56] Speaker 5: a wine first of all, trying to pin her down
[1:06:58] Speaker 5: to be like, hey, can we just hang out?
[1:07:00] Speaker 6: Yeah?
[1:07:00] Speaker 3: We heard my god, we hear little confusion on where
[1:07:04] Speaker 3: the romance and friendship.
[1:07:07] Speaker 6: Well that's fair, that's fairs, And I hit out my
[1:07:13] Speaker 6: bros like that.
[1:07:16] Speaker 10: I realized that later.
[1:07:18] Speaker 5: So the first like that we finally Like it was
[1:07:19] Speaker 5: actually funny because like I was if I want, if
[1:07:22] Speaker 5: I want something or if I need, like it's like
[1:07:25] Speaker 5: I'm very persistent with it, like very persistent with it
[1:07:28] Speaker 5: until it's very natural, like until something changes, like okay,
[1:07:31] Speaker 5: like take a hit because I think another thing is
[1:07:33] Speaker 5: like I'm not trying to tell people like guys are like,
[1:07:35] Speaker 5: oh my god, keep.
[1:07:36] Speaker 6: Like try and keep trying.
[1:07:37] Speaker 5: It's dude, take a hint sometimes, but it's like if
[1:07:38] Speaker 5: something's really important, like also, don't go the other way.
[1:07:41] Speaker 5: I think there's a thing about like good guys and
[1:07:43] Speaker 5: bad guys to put that in air quotes, but it's
[1:07:45] Speaker 5: like I think good guys need to be more persistent
[1:07:47] Speaker 5: and do more good things. They need to show up
[1:07:49] Speaker 5: in spaces that they're like nervous about doing because they're like, oh,
[1:07:52] Speaker 5: maybe I'm being too much maybe on whatever. And then
[1:07:54] Speaker 5: all of a sudden, it's like all the bad guys
[1:07:55] Speaker 5: are doing the opposite where there's like really percent it's like,
[1:07:58] Speaker 5: dude to chill. And so I remember the first time
[1:08:01] Speaker 5: we finally like hung out. It was at a wine
[1:08:02] Speaker 5: bar and it was after I think it was after
[1:08:05] Speaker 5: work for you. I don't eve remember, but I was like, hey, listen,
[1:08:07] Speaker 5: don't evenet dressed up, just like we're sweats. Can we
[1:08:09] Speaker 5: just like hang out And she's like, yeah, let's do that.
[1:08:10] Speaker 5: And so we ended up going to the wine bar
[1:08:12] Speaker 5: and we spent the first couple of hours she was
[1:08:14] Speaker 5: like talking just catching up on all the like life stuff.
[1:08:16] Speaker 5: She's like, oh, like this was happening with Lyric and
[1:08:17] Speaker 5: that's whatever. I like talking about advice stuff, and the
[1:08:19] Speaker 5: whole time like I don't want to talk about this,
[1:08:21] Speaker 5: like I need see you to know like what I'm
[1:08:23] Speaker 5: here for, like very like I need you to know
[1:08:26] Speaker 5: what this is. This is not like hey, let's hang
[1:08:29] Speaker 5: out thing. Yeah, And so at some point it just
[1:08:31] Speaker 5: kind of flipped. I was like, hey, by the way,
[1:08:32] Speaker 5: I really really like you. And I showed her like
[1:08:35] Speaker 5: a I had this text that I hadn't sent where
[1:08:41] Speaker 5: I was like, hey, Jessica Barry, I would really really
[1:08:43] Speaker 5: really like take you on a date, and I just
[1:08:46] Speaker 5: like didn't send it and I was like holding on
[1:08:48] Speaker 5: to it for a while, and then we finally had
[1:08:50] Speaker 5: the had the date and I was like, here, I'm
[1:08:52] Speaker 5: just gonna put all of my cards in the middle
[1:08:54] Speaker 5: of the table, like here all the eggs in my basket.
[1:08:56] Speaker 5: He says, say how I operate. It's like I don't
[1:08:58] Speaker 5: half step. It's like, dude, if I'm doing something, I'm
[1:08:59] Speaker 5: doing Yeah. And so I remember I said that, and
[1:09:02] Speaker 5: she like, I think you.
[1:09:02] Speaker 6: Had like a panic attack. And basically I think you
[1:09:05] Speaker 6: had a panic attack. She was like, oh, man, like
[1:09:07] Speaker 6: I don't I'm not ready for this. I don't want
[1:09:08] Speaker 6: to She just straight up said, no, this is that
[1:09:11] Speaker 6: the wine bar. This is the wine bar.
[1:09:12] Speaker 5: She's like, I'm not ready, which which again talking about
[1:09:14] Speaker 5: like just respecting people in the space. It was like,
[1:09:16] Speaker 5: first of all, I was like, you know, leading up
[1:09:17] Speaker 5: into this, like we hadn't even started, like the and
[1:09:20] Speaker 5: like like her life was crazy, all things are happening.
[1:09:23] Speaker 5: So being able to take a step back and be like, yes,
[1:09:25] Speaker 5: I respect that. And so she wanted to be friends
[1:09:28] Speaker 5: for a while, and so I said, okay, let's be friends.
[1:09:30] Speaker 5: But I also don't text my friends forty times a day, right,
[1:09:34] Speaker 5: And so I'm a very emotional person, Like this means
[1:09:36] Speaker 5: a lot to me, Like I'm not talking.
[1:09:37] Speaker 6: To girls like this.
[1:09:38] Speaker 5: I don't do that, and you're the person that I'm like,
[1:09:41] Speaker 5: I don't have side stuff going on.
[1:09:43] Speaker 6: I'm like, you're just it.
[1:09:44] Speaker 5: And so we kept running into that problem where I
[1:09:47] Speaker 5: was like we would text, we would text, and then
[1:09:48] Speaker 5: I would be like, hey, I'm every text I send
[1:09:51] Speaker 5: you mean something.
[1:09:52] Speaker 6: It's not. I'm not being friends with you. I can't
[1:09:53] Speaker 6: do it. I feel like I'm living a lie. I
[1:09:55] Speaker 6: can't lie.
[1:09:56] Speaker 5: And so eventually came to a point I'm like, I
[1:09:58] Speaker 5: don't think I can do the friends thing again. And
[1:10:00] Speaker 5: I respect your space and I'm going to like really
[1:10:03] Speaker 5: mean that, like you take care of yourself, you do
[1:10:05] Speaker 5: your thing, but I can't be a friend to you.
[1:10:09] Speaker 6: It's just a lie. And so I think it was
[1:10:11] Speaker 6: what we went through like a mini moment.
[1:10:14] Speaker 12: I was like, okay, fine, and then like twelve hours later,
[1:10:17] Speaker 12: I was like wait wait. I was like, no, I
[1:10:20] Speaker 12: need I need you.
[1:10:22] Speaker 1: Oh.
[1:10:23] Speaker 12: Miss, I miss your text texting a couple of the
[1:10:27] Speaker 12: other girls, and I was like, why do I feel
[1:10:28] Speaker 12: like I just like went through a breakup and we
[1:10:30] Speaker 12: didn't even like we weren't even actually like dating yet,
[1:10:34] Speaker 12: and I just like spiraled all night.
[1:10:36] Speaker 10: And then finally I was like, so if I wanted
[1:10:40] Speaker 10: to be brave, what would that look like that's what
[1:10:43] Speaker 10: you said.
[1:10:47] Speaker 6: Yeah, you just I don't know.
[1:10:50] Speaker 5: Everyone's trying to like do something and get somewhere, and
[1:10:52] Speaker 5: I think it's just trying to create spaces where it
[1:10:54] Speaker 5: can happen, Like just trying to create safe spaces where
[1:10:56] Speaker 5: like good things can happen.
[1:10:57] Speaker 6: And so that was my thing.
[1:10:58] Speaker 5: It was just hey, what is that? What does that
[1:11:00] Speaker 5: look like? Because I want a version of this, but
[1:11:03] Speaker 5: like really what I wanted just was best for you.
[1:11:05] Speaker 5: And so like creating a space where you allow it
[1:11:08] Speaker 5: to flow, where it's like, you know what, if it
[1:11:10] Speaker 5: works out and we're doing awesome, Awesome, if I can
[1:11:11] Speaker 5: be your friend and that's the best way I can
[1:11:13] Speaker 5: do it, awesome. But if you need to be over
[1:11:15] Speaker 5: there and that's the best thing for you, then like
[1:11:17] Speaker 5: that's how it works. But just creating a safe space
[1:11:19] Speaker 5: where it's like the pressure of expectation and whatever. I
[1:11:22] Speaker 5: just don't want to I don't like putting people in
[1:11:23] Speaker 5: space where they feel like they have to do something.
[1:11:25] Speaker 5: So like you to take care of yourself and like
[1:11:27] Speaker 5: I care about you enough to like allow that to happen.
[1:11:29] Speaker 5: And this is how it worked out.
[1:11:30] Speaker 3: What was your favorite song on each other's playlist when
[1:11:32] Speaker 3: the silent disc go.
[1:11:34] Speaker 12: Well, first of all, I don't really remember. We listened
[1:11:37] Speaker 12: to very different music. Also, we had two playlists. One
[1:11:44] Speaker 12: were one was five songs that mean love to you
[1:11:47] Speaker 12: and five songs that like explain who you are?
[1:11:51] Speaker 1: Okay?
[1:11:51] Speaker 12: And I wasn't about to make him listen to my
[1:11:54] Speaker 12: love songs after I thought he was like, baby gonna
[1:11:56] Speaker 12: break up. So I was like, let's just listen to
[1:11:58] Speaker 12: our fun songs.
[1:11:59] Speaker 1: That'd be fun.
[1:12:00] Speaker 6: Huh?
[1:12:03] Speaker 1: What was it like? What was your fun playlist?
[1:12:06] Speaker 12: Mine was like Taylor Swift, Alicia Keys Ahead, I can
[1:12:10] Speaker 12: do It with a broken Heart, gir on Fire.
[1:12:14] Speaker 6: You remember all these?
[1:12:17] Speaker 1: And I understand the Broadway song? Very different, Okay, go ahead.
[1:12:24] Speaker 1: What's your other one?
[1:12:25] Speaker 2: Well, it's it's the last question of the podcast?
[1:12:28] Speaker 1: What what does the future hold for them? No?
[1:12:31] Speaker 6: Oh gosh, what's the question.
[1:12:35] Speaker 2: It's love blind. I'm gonna ask you, my bad.
[1:12:43] Speaker 1: I just want to know, like what the future holds
[1:12:45] Speaker 1: for you?
[1:12:45] Speaker 3: Guys?
[1:12:46] Speaker 6: Do you think love is fine?
[1:12:51] Speaker 10: I don't.
[1:12:51] Speaker 12: I still don't really know. I got to see him, but.
[1:12:59] Speaker 3: You you you had feelings before you see Yeah, yeah,
[1:13:02] Speaker 3: very much, so, very much so it definitely would not
[1:13:05] Speaker 3: I've battered.
[1:13:08] Speaker 10: He just happens to be really freaking.
[1:13:12] Speaker 1: As the future hold free any Like, I mean it's
[1:13:15] Speaker 1: been a couple of months, but like I feel like.
[1:13:18] Speaker 10: Especially we were actually just talking about this on the
[1:13:20] Speaker 10: way here.
[1:13:21] Speaker 12: I'm such a planner and such a like what's next?
[1:13:24] Speaker 10: What is this?
[1:13:24] Speaker 1: What is this?
[1:13:25] Speaker 12: And we're kind of in a space where we're just
[1:13:29] Speaker 12: who knows what happens next, And so I'm trying my
[1:13:32] Speaker 12: best to kind of like lean into that and actually
[1:13:34] Speaker 12: go with the flow for ones in my life and
[1:13:37] Speaker 12: just actually enjoy the moment that we're in.
[1:13:39] Speaker 6: Yeah, I think plans.
[1:13:40] Speaker 5: It's like plans are really good, but you just miss
[1:13:43] Speaker 5: these like a little moment for example, like this, you
[1:13:45] Speaker 5: guys do this all the time. There's the first time
[1:13:47] Speaker 5: we're doing this, Like this is this is just cool
[1:13:50] Speaker 5: to hang out with you very very nice, and then
[1:13:53] Speaker 5: we get to do it together. And like we were
[1:13:55] Speaker 5: at the airport and you're gonna think it's silly, but
[1:13:56] Speaker 5: we were at the airport and we're like walking and
[1:13:58] Speaker 5: we had to cross this crossway and like the you know,
[1:14:00] Speaker 5: like the walking sign like stopped, and she's like, oh
[1:14:03] Speaker 5: my god, we have to get across the street and
[1:14:04] Speaker 5: I was like, I don't know, dud, did we have
[1:14:06] Speaker 5: to do that? And we just kind of stood there
[1:14:07] Speaker 5: for a while, like looked at each other and it
[1:14:09] Speaker 5: was just like this little moment, if you have plans,
[1:14:13] Speaker 5: you just.
[1:14:13] Speaker 6: Like miss those things.
