[0:00] Speaker 1: Scrubbing in with Bea Tilly and Tanya rad and iHeartRadio
[0:04] Speaker 1: and two times People's Choice Award winning podcast.
[0:10] Speaker 2: Hello everybody, we are scrubbing it.
[0:20] Speaker 3: What you're doing today? What?
[0:22] Speaker 1: Well, today I'm going to take my passport photo and
[0:26] Speaker 1: do all that. But I forgot to tell you this
[0:28] Speaker 1: story from the DMB.
[0:30] Speaker 4: What do you get stressed about you passport photo?
[0:33] Speaker 1: Yes, well not stressed, but like I want to look pretty.
[0:36] Speaker 4: But why no one's gonna see it? Literally no one,
[0:39] Speaker 4: no one, and like it's a closed book.
[0:42] Speaker 1: Yes, my last DMB photo was gorgeous, Like can I
[0:46] Speaker 1: tell you, like I look like a supermodeling, very.
[0:49] Speaker 4: Rare passport are notoriously bad.
[0:51] Speaker 1: Phone, not passport, my dmv linse. But in my last
[0:54] Speaker 1: passport photo, nothing could be worse than that, So I'm.
[0:57] Speaker 3: Like ready for something it new.
[0:59] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that passport one was horrendous. So my last
[1:02] Speaker 1: DMB was stunning, stunning work of art. I just come
[1:06] Speaker 1: from some e things, so I had like full glam
[1:09] Speaker 1: and like, yeah, I just looked like the light.
[1:12] Speaker 3: I was gorgeous. Yeah.
[1:13] Speaker 1: So I went to the DMB last week and I
[1:16] Speaker 1: begged the girl please can I please use my same
[1:20] Speaker 1: photo I look the same look. I was, no, sorry,
[1:23] Speaker 1: you have to take a new please please, No, I'm
[1:28] Speaker 1: so sorry. Anyways, so I took my new photo and
[1:30] Speaker 1: I was like, can I see what it like?
[1:32] Speaker 3: What I look like?
[1:32] Speaker 1: And because you'll get it in the mail in a
[1:33] Speaker 1: couple of weeks. Daddy didn't play around, not DMV. Daddy
[1:41] Speaker 1: was not having it. But I sat down at the
[1:44] Speaker 1: DMB and like, you know, you like check in and
[1:46] Speaker 1: they give you like I was like G two seventy
[1:48] Speaker 1: two and they were at like G one oh one.
[1:51] Speaker 1: So I was like, oh, I'm here to stay and
[1:55] Speaker 1: the seats were packed, so I was like, okay, I'm
[1:57] Speaker 1: just gonna wait tillbody gets up and like make my
[1:59] Speaker 1: way over. So I to finding a seat. So I
[2:00] Speaker 1: sit down. I sit next to this girl and she's like, hey,
[2:04] Speaker 1: can you like save my seat really quick? And I
[2:06] Speaker 1: was like yeah, sure, no problem.
[2:07] Speaker 3: That's a big task, a big ask.
[2:10] Speaker 1: I thought, no problem. I thought she's going to the bathroom,
[2:13] Speaker 1: like she's gonna grab me out of her car. This
[2:16] Speaker 1: bitch is gone for forty five minutes.
[2:21] Speaker 3: She got a snack, She and got a snack. She
[2:24] Speaker 3: comes back.
[2:24] Speaker 1: Mind you people are asking me at coming up. Is
[2:27] Speaker 1: this all taken? Yes, by some unnamed person I don't know, Okay,
[2:31] Speaker 1: And she's been gone for quite some time now, so
[2:35] Speaker 1: like if she doesn't come back, I'm gonna look.
[2:36] Speaker 3: Like a total like yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, Like I.
[2:39] Speaker 1: Just wanted to save the seat because I didn't want
[2:40] Speaker 1: somebody sick. And so she comes back wreaking of marijuana,
[2:47] Speaker 1: pulls out of her backpack French fries. She'd gone to
[2:50] Speaker 1: like some drive through and had me save her seat.
[2:54] Speaker 3: What mind you.
[2:56] Speaker 1: I didn't realize they they send you a text when
[2:58] Speaker 1: your number is like close to being called. It's basically
[3:00] Speaker 1: like we're I didn't know this because I didn't get
[3:03] Speaker 1: until it was close to my number. But they do
[3:05] Speaker 1: give you like a good five to six minute heads
[3:08] Speaker 1: up that like your number is coming. So I could
[3:10] Speaker 1: have like an hour and a half up and around
[3:12] Speaker 1: town in Santa Monica to like get my nails done.
[3:15] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[3:16] Speaker 4: So she was probably sitting in her car, eating her
[3:17] Speaker 4: in and out and.
[3:18] Speaker 1: Just yeah, blaze up, blazon Yeah, got her text message.
[3:23] Speaker 1: I'll go back into that chump in there. I was
[3:25] Speaker 1: saving my seat in the front row. Didn't even offer me, yes,
[3:31] Speaker 1: legroom so everybody's watching me, like say, yeah, somebody's here
[3:35] Speaker 1: for forty five minutes.
[3:37] Speaker 3: Wait, that is so funny. She just said this girl,
[3:41] Speaker 3: this is so easy. I'm gonna go take a break.
[3:44] Speaker 1: But also like, why do you need the seat saved?
[3:46] Speaker 1: Do you know what I mean? Like, if you're gonna
[3:48] Speaker 1: go like have fun around town, like stand the back
[3:50] Speaker 1: for the last five minutes till your name's called or
[3:52] Speaker 1: numbers called.
[3:53] Speaker 2: Sometimes you just got a light to dube and get
[3:55] Speaker 2: some fries. Clearly, maybe she'd been there since one oh one,
[3:59] Speaker 2: you know, maybe she had been there since one. Yeah,
[4:06] Speaker 2: you got to take an advantage.
[4:07] Speaker 1: Of this is my karma because I always ask people
[4:11] Speaker 1: to watch my suitcases at the airport.
[4:12] Speaker 4: That is, I think it's illegal.
[4:16] Speaker 3: You can't do.
[4:20] Speaker 1: Take our suitcases into the bathroom and knock on the
[4:22] Speaker 1: door before we go in?
[4:24] Speaker 4: What other Yeah, both of those you have to do.
[4:27] Speaker 4: They make announcements at the airport. Do not take anything,
[4:30] Speaker 4: do not watch other people's bag, do not do that.
[4:32] Speaker 2: Oh no common decency hut.
[4:39] Speaker 1: But I thought it was like I was like, Wow,
[4:40] Speaker 1: now's my time to like save it for someone else,
[4:43] Speaker 1: you know, Like I'm like I always ask people to
[4:44] Speaker 1: like watch my stuff. So now I'm like, say stuff
[4:46] Speaker 1: doing that.
[4:47] Speaker 2: Actually, it's it's unsafe for you might a track. Let's
[4:55] Speaker 2: not think of doing it for others, but more for yourself.
[4:59] Speaker 3: Yes, yeah if that helps.
[5:02] Speaker 2: Yes, Well, that was really nice for you to save
[5:05] Speaker 2: the seat. I'm sorry that she fully took advantage of
[5:07] Speaker 2: your kindness.
[5:08] Speaker 4: Was she appreciative when she got back? No at all.
[5:12] Speaker 1: Didn't offer me nothing. I want to Fry said no,
[5:18] Speaker 1: the offer would be nicelip. Yeah, weed gummy?
[5:23] Speaker 3: I have what is a weed gummy? I want to
[5:26] Speaker 3: really smelled?
[5:27] Speaker 1: Yeah, no, she smelled.
[5:28] Speaker 3: Yeah, she lit one up. Yeah, good for her.
[5:31] Speaker 1: Doob doom.
[5:32] Speaker 3: She said. One day of the week.
[5:34] Speaker 1: Was it Friday?
[5:35] Speaker 3: She said, it's Friday, bait fry yay.
[5:39] Speaker 1: Yeah, so it's a little bit about me.
[5:41] Speaker 2: Well, it's good to know that you will save a
[5:43] Speaker 2: seat if someone ever needs whether.
[5:46] Speaker 1: You guys take your driving test, by the way, because
[5:48] Speaker 1: like the people next to me and were like getting
[5:50] Speaker 1: in a fight because she was like, no, I'm not
[5:52] Speaker 1: retaking this thing, and he said something about.
[5:54] Speaker 3: Like every four years.
[5:56] Speaker 1: But I'm like, I haven't retaken my driver's test since
[5:58] Speaker 1: I turned sixteen, and I'm much older, nor have.
[6:01] Speaker 4: I I'm not sure.
[6:02] Speaker 2: It might be if they've moved or something, because I
[6:05] Speaker 2: had to retake mine when I got switched from a
[6:07] Speaker 2: Louisiana license to California terribly.
[6:12] Speaker 3: I was so stressed out. There's so many more rules here.
[6:15] Speaker 1: I do you believe she was saying she was like
[6:17] Speaker 1: from San Francisco or something.
[6:18] Speaker 3: Well that's still California.
[6:20] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[6:20] Speaker 1: Maybe maybe I heard it wrong, maybe with something else.
[6:22] Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe she was doing it for safety, just to
[6:25] Speaker 2: learn the rules, the la the lay of the land.
[6:28] Speaker 1: But I find that to be kind of shocking. Like
[6:30] Speaker 1: I've just never taken a driving test since I was
[6:32] Speaker 1: sixteen years old. Yeah, well I should use it.
[6:37] Speaker 3: You might need a re refresher. Yeah.
[6:41] Speaker 2: No, the DMV is not my I will say, like
[6:44] Speaker 2: my driver's license and my passport photos I get compliments on,
[6:47] Speaker 2: so I will dread the day I have to retake those.
[6:50] Speaker 4: I know.
[6:50] Speaker 1: Okay, So then the next day because I'm trying to
[6:52] Speaker 1: get all this stuff done with my name changed, and
[6:54] Speaker 1: so Robbie's like, okay, you did the DMV, Like, let's
[6:55] Speaker 1: go do your passport today. And I was like, oh,
[6:58] Speaker 1: I can't take my passport photo day. I look like
[7:01] Speaker 1: trush right now, And he was like, are you kidding me? Like,
[7:04] Speaker 1: who cares?
[7:06] Speaker 3: I get it?
[7:07] Speaker 1: I care, but luck in my luck was on my
[7:10] Speaker 1: side because everything was closed for Easter.
[7:13] Speaker 3: I couldn't do it nice.
[7:15] Speaker 1: I'm gonna go today, nice, gorgeous, gorge Yeah, yeah, I
[7:18] Speaker 1: can't take a bad photo today.
[7:20] Speaker 4: No, no, things can only go up you right though,
[7:24] Speaker 4: there's something with that passport photo. It will be bad, like,
[7:27] Speaker 4: there's no way around it. It's always no.
[7:29] Speaker 3: I'm telling her, I've choker for my last photo.
[7:32] Speaker 1: Let me tell you. Rule one oh one not to
[7:35] Speaker 1: wear a passport or a d m V photo is
[7:38] Speaker 1: a choker. Why are you wearing a choke? I don't know.
[7:43] Speaker 1: Twenty seventeen, Oh oh.
[7:48] Speaker 4: We can forget.
[7:49] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[7:50] Speaker 2: Yeah, the new passport is black and white, so you
[7:54] Speaker 2: just automatically look better.
[7:56] Speaker 3: Yeah. They put like a lovely black and white filter
[8:00] Speaker 3: over it.
[8:00] Speaker 1: I can't wait.
[8:01] Speaker 2: Yeah. I was stunned by myself. I was like, thank
[8:05] Speaker 2: you for whatever you added to this. Wow the glam filter.
[8:09] Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, I'm excited.
[8:10] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I get excited.
[8:12] Speaker 2: We do have a dear bonya, so shall we jump
[8:15] Speaker 2: into it?
[8:16] Speaker 4: Jumping in anonymous says Hi, Becka, Tania Mark and Eastern
[8:19] Speaker 4: day One Scrubbery here and I love you all so much.
[8:21] Speaker 4: Your voices get me through the day. I need some advice.
[8:24] Speaker 4: I recently became acquaintances with some moms on my street.
[8:27] Speaker 4: We met at the park. I was put into a
[8:28] Speaker 4: group message with them, and they're always wanting to get together,
[8:31] Speaker 4: which normally I try to include myself in. But one
[8:33] Speaker 4: of their children is so mean to my oldest son,
[8:36] Speaker 4: who's four. The child is also made to the other kids.
[8:39] Speaker 4: I don't believe in subjecting your children to the real
[8:41] Speaker 4: world so young, and it's literally my job to protect them.
[8:43] Speaker 4: So now I've always started saying no when they asked
[8:47] Speaker 4: to get together. So am I being rude? I don't
[8:49] Speaker 4: want it to say, hey, dude, your kid is mean
[8:51] Speaker 4: and you don't do anything about it. But I also
[8:53] Speaker 4: feel bad ignoring every invite. One of them lived two
[8:55] Speaker 4: doors down for me, and she made a comment that
[8:57] Speaker 4: she saw us one day going to the park by ourselves.
[9:00] Speaker 4: I feel like being watched and it's driving me crazy.
[9:03] Speaker 4: So what do I do? Whenny advice is helpful? Thanks?
[9:05] Speaker 4: Love you.
[9:07] Speaker 1: I mean, I might not have the best advice here
[9:09] Speaker 1: because I've never had to deal with this. However, I
[9:16] Speaker 1: do talk to Robbie about this stuff often, and his
[9:19] Speaker 1: advice is always like, not to shield your kids from
[9:25] Speaker 1: certain situations because they're eventually going to have to deal
[9:28] Speaker 1: with these situations in life. Do you know what I mean?
[9:32] Speaker 1: So like your child is going to interact with a
[9:35] Speaker 1: mean kid at some point in their lives. Correct?
[9:39] Speaker 4: Yes, yes, correct, But if you know one's mean, deuce.
[9:44] Speaker 3: Why can't you say something? Why can't you say something
[9:47] Speaker 3: to the mom of the mean co.
[9:49] Speaker 1: What do you say to someone your kids mean?
[9:51] Speaker 3: I would just say, hey, I was, I was.
[9:53] Speaker 2: I heard how your son was talking to my son
[9:56] Speaker 2: and I and if be like, I don't want him.
[9:59] Speaker 3: I don't want them to be like in a fight.
[10:01] Speaker 2: I just wanted you to be aware of it because
[10:03] Speaker 2: the mom might not know that her son is a bully.
[10:05] Speaker 2: I don't want to know if my kid was a bully.
[10:07] Speaker 1: I think oftentimes they know.
[10:09] Speaker 2: Because they're the bully. Yeah, well then what this is crazy?
[10:14] Speaker 2: I feel like I feel like parents, especially this age,
[10:17] Speaker 2: should know who if their kid is bullying other kids.
[10:23] Speaker 4: Parents don't see their kids that way. I don't think
[10:25] Speaker 4: their kids are always angels. Every kid is.
[10:28] Speaker 2: Yeah, well that's why they're serial killers, and that's why
[10:32] Speaker 2: we gotta we gotta shift the mindset and start having
[10:35] Speaker 2: the hard conversations. Well, I would, I mean, unless someone
[10:39] Speaker 2: says something to you like hey, I would just say, hey, yeah,
[10:43] Speaker 2: he's having a hard time with one of the other kids,
[10:44] Speaker 2: So we just kind of do our own thing until
[10:46] Speaker 2: they grow out of that. That's what I would say.
[10:49] Speaker 2: If someone asks you about it, I don't think you
[10:50] Speaker 2: need to bring it up. I would just say, Hey,
[10:52] Speaker 2: we're just doing our own thing. My son's having a
[10:55] Speaker 2: hard time, like just getting along with some of the kids,
[10:58] Speaker 2: so we're just going to the park alone.
[11:03] Speaker 4: And then just remove yourself from that group chat.
[11:05] Speaker 3: We'll just put on mute, hide the alerts.
[11:10] Speaker 4: Yeah, it's not. But I don't know, I'm not sure
[11:11] Speaker 4: what to say. I think that I think I would
[11:14] Speaker 4: probably take the passive least resistance and go to one
[11:16] Speaker 4: of these events and just see how it goes, and
[11:19] Speaker 4: obviously keep a very sharp eye on whatever is going on.
[11:22] Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
[11:23] Speaker 2: If she's there and watching it happen, and the other
[11:26] Speaker 2: mom is there, why can't she say like, hey, let's
[11:29] Speaker 2: can we have a conversation like this, this quarrel was
[11:32] Speaker 2: going on, Let's figure it out with the mom presence.
[11:36] Speaker 4: That's fine. And also not putting all the blame on
[11:38] Speaker 4: the other kid.
[11:39] Speaker 2: Yeah, just like, hey, they're not getting along, what can
[11:40] Speaker 2: we do to fix this?
[11:45] Speaker 1: Well, these type of social interactions really stressful.
[11:48] Speaker 4: It's tough. Just can't hide that. Like you said, you
[11:51] Speaker 4: can't hide your kid from every negative experience of their
[11:54] Speaker 4: whole life.
[11:54] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[11:55] Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean you're gonna snowplow parenting. You go out
[11:59] Speaker 4: in front of the kid and make sure nothing is
[12:01] Speaker 4: in the way, nothing's ever going to cause problems for.
[12:03] Speaker 1: Them, right, I think that ultimately hurts the kid.
[12:05] Speaker 4: I think so it does.
[12:06] Speaker 2: But there's also a sense of making sure that this
[12:09] Speaker 2: kid that's already bullying kids at a young age isn't
[12:12] Speaker 2: getting away with it forever. So if you have the
[12:16] Speaker 2: power to be in this situation and witness it with
[12:19] Speaker 2: the parent present, take it as an opportunity to say like, hey, like,
[12:23] Speaker 2: I don't know what's going on, but let's figure it out.
[12:27] Speaker 1: It's good. Yeah.
[12:29] Speaker 4: Do you remember the dear Bonya who wanted to go
[12:32] Speaker 4: out with the guy at the gym. He gave her
[12:34] Speaker 4: lots of insightful questions and she get great answers, but
[12:36] Speaker 4: whenever she turned it back on him, yeah.
[12:39] Speaker 3: Nothing, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[12:41] Speaker 4: We have an update. I love a follow up.
[12:43] Speaker 3: Should we take a break?
[12:44] Speaker 4: I think we should.
[12:45] Speaker 3: Okay, we're back. I don't even have to race wows.
[13:10] Speaker 4: I love a follow up. A few weeks ago, a
[13:12] Speaker 4: hopeless romantic looking at her forever wrote asking if she
[13:14] Speaker 4: was being too picky after giving a guy she met
[13:16] Speaker 4: at the Jim a chance. They went on a first date.
[13:19] Speaker 4: He asked her a lot of insightful questions to which
[13:21] Speaker 4: you gave thoughtful, sometimes deep answers to and when she
[13:23] Speaker 4: turned the question around on him, he gave nothing. He
[13:26] Speaker 4: also said he has no hobbies, no friends. He gets up,
[13:29] Speaker 4: he goes if the jammy works ten to seven, he
[13:31] Speaker 4: goes to bed. And I don't remember what your advice was. Necessarily,
[13:35] Speaker 4: I probably was like, girl, move on. Well, she wrote
[13:39] Speaker 4: back and said, Hi, okay, I geeked out hearing this
[13:42] Speaker 4: on the pod. Follow up. I did not follow through
[13:44] Speaker 4: with him, but to answer some of your questions by
[13:47] Speaker 4: going out with friends, I mean, he doesn't even hang
[13:49] Speaker 4: out with them and make plans nothing. He doesn't drink,
[13:52] Speaker 4: which doesn't bother me. He's cute, he's very interested in me,
[13:56] Speaker 4: but it felt more like you wanted to hear about
[13:58] Speaker 4: me toof said that he doesn't do much lol. And yes,
[14:02] Speaker 4: he pretty much goes to bed after his ten to
[14:03] Speaker 4: seven and he told me it takes him two hours
[14:06] Speaker 4: to get ready for the gym. I don't even take that.
[14:10] Speaker 4: All that to say, thank you for answering my question.
[14:11] Speaker 4: I appreciate all sides, Tanya, trust me, I love an
[14:13] Speaker 4: APM bedtime. But I did decide to move forward with
[14:16] Speaker 4: someone else. Wow.
[14:18] Speaker 1: Oh, I guess I probably told her like it's fun
[14:21] Speaker 1: to take someone that goes to bed.
[14:22] Speaker 2: Really, yeah, you probably are, like stick it out?
[14:26] Speaker 1: Yeah, one of my own. Yeah, a man at my heart.
[14:29] Speaker 3: I don't know.
[14:30] Speaker 2: You have a lot of hobbies like launching barbecue brawl
[14:33] Speaker 2: like you you could answer that question.
[14:35] Speaker 1: Catch me watching barbecue bral this coming weekend.
[14:39] Speaker 4: So I love a follow up and I love a flashback.
[14:42] Speaker 4: Josie Hi, Becka, Tanya Easton, and Mark. I'm real listening
[14:45] Speaker 4: to old episodes and just heard the moment where the
[14:47] Speaker 4: girls discuss their future engagement ring preferences. Tanya said she
[14:52] Speaker 4: didn't want a big rock on her finger like she
[14:53] Speaker 4: had previously dreamt of, and Becka stated she probably won't
[14:56] Speaker 4: wear her ring all the time. I just found this
[14:59] Speaker 4: funny thing. Now they both have big, beautiful engagement rings
[15:02] Speaker 4: they wear pretty much all the time. Here we go.
[15:04] Speaker 4: Episode date October eighth, twenty eighteen. It was called Debbie
[15:07] Speaker 4: of the Doctors, And here it is.
[15:10] Speaker 1: I decided something about my wedding over the weekend.
[15:15] Speaker 4: Uh huh.
[15:17] Speaker 1: It involves the singer that I want to sing at
[15:19] Speaker 1: my wedding. So I was going to FaceTime, said to
[15:21] Speaker 1: person and ask if they will perform at my wedding.
[15:24] Speaker 4: And you recently changed your dream engagement ring. The when
[15:28] Speaker 4: you've dreamed about your whole life has now.
[15:29] Speaker 1: Changed changed what to what? I just don't want to
[15:32] Speaker 1: I used to want like a big fatty rock like
[15:35] Speaker 1: kind of hanging out off my finger, and now I
[15:37] Speaker 1: realize I want it more like set in into the
[15:40] Speaker 1: ring like not as like.
[15:41] Speaker 3: It's a huge change.
[15:43] Speaker 4: She wants a ring that she doesn't have to take
[15:45] Speaker 4: off at the gym, and when she's whatever, she wants
[15:48] Speaker 4: to be able to leave it on all the time.
[15:49] Speaker 1: Leave it on all the time.
[15:51] Speaker 3: I want a big ring that sits up. Now I've
[15:54] Speaker 3: pumping out.
[15:56] Speaker 4: You want to take it off from time to time,
[15:57] Speaker 4: that's fine with you.
[15:59] Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't love wearing rings in general, So I
[16:01] Speaker 2: want to have a band, that really pretty band that
[16:04] Speaker 2: I keep on all the time, and then wear that
[16:06] Speaker 2: have the ring for whateever.
[16:07] Speaker 4: What about a tattoo that's very hot right now? Is
[16:09] Speaker 4: getting tattooed rings because they don't feel like you're wearing
[16:13] Speaker 4: a ring.
[16:13] Speaker 2: Yeah, not a pose, but not completely for it, not
[16:17] Speaker 2: opposed to it, just like, don't know if it's my style.
[16:19] Speaker 3: I would like just like a really.
[16:21] Speaker 2: Pretty dainty like diamond band to wear is like every day,
[16:24] Speaker 2: because I don't like having anything too big bulky.
[16:28] Speaker 3: But I would like to sluck this.
[16:31] Speaker 4: Rock, Yeah, fatty rock.
[16:33] Speaker 3: The people know I'm taking alright on that note. Oh,
[16:39] Speaker 3: that's Haley and I were together at that.
[16:41] Speaker 4: Point in eighteen.
[16:42] Speaker 2: At that point, yeah, because we got together in April eighteenth.
[16:45] Speaker 2: That's October eighteen.
[16:46] Speaker 4: That's so funny, a half years ago.
[16:49] Speaker 3: Yeah, but our our eight year anniversary happened.
[16:51] Speaker 1: Oh no, in September. We're going to be nine years
[16:55] Speaker 1: of this September.
[16:56] Speaker 3: No mine in Haley's eight years Yeah, speakend. Yeah that's right,
[17:02] Speaker 3: crazy crazy, Yeah, well I was. I do wear mine
[17:07] Speaker 3: every day.
[17:07] Speaker 2: It's weirdly, I don't know what it is, what the
[17:10] Speaker 2: science is behind it, but this ring does not bother
[17:14] Speaker 2: me at all, Like it never feels like I'm annoyed
[17:17] Speaker 2: by having the ring on. But previously I was like,
[17:20] Speaker 2: I don't know how I'm gonna wear engagement ring all
[17:22] Speaker 2: the time because I don't like wearing rings.
[17:24] Speaker 1: It's so weird listening back to that.
[17:26] Speaker 3: It almost sounds like it doesn't even sound like us.
[17:29] Speaker 1: I know, you know what's so funny?
[17:32] Speaker 3: You did get a big rock.
[17:34] Speaker 1: Yeah, I in fact changed my mind again, and she
[17:39] Speaker 1: did want her.
[17:40] Speaker 3: Fast she didn't want it.
[17:41] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's crazy to listen back on those episodes. Like
[17:49] Speaker 1: if we ever have to like re record our podcast
[17:51] Speaker 1: because like it gets taken away from us or something
[17:53] Speaker 1: like I've thought about this, like Taylor swifting it and
[17:55] Speaker 1: like going, how would.
[17:59] Speaker 3: We do that? Like transcript and we just read that.
[18:02] Speaker 1: No, like we would re listen to our old episodes
[18:05] Speaker 1: and then like kind of just talk about everything that
[18:07] Speaker 1: was going on, like in our perspective now of like
[18:10] Speaker 1: lot things. WHOA, what's so funny, Mark.
[18:13] Speaker 4: That's a very funny idea that we'd have to do that.
[18:17] Speaker 1: Well, if somebody decides they want to take this podcast
[18:19] Speaker 1: your broad yeah yeah, or right, yeah, we get scooted
[18:24] Speaker 1: and booted. Well that was like always the thing, like, oh,
[18:26] Speaker 1: we could just PLoP two people in your spots if
[18:29] Speaker 1: you guys don't want to do the podcast anymore. And
[18:30] Speaker 1: I'm like, no, yeah, if we get Scooter Bronde, I
[18:35] Speaker 1: will Taylor Swift.
[18:36] Speaker 4: Wow out of this podcast. Okay, uh, this is a
[18:41] Speaker 4: very very sweet note that we got from a woman
[18:45] Speaker 4: and I lost out here. It is Sabrina Hi back
[18:48] Speaker 4: a tiny market East and I had to reach out
[18:49] Speaker 4: because my heart feels so full and I'm a little
[18:51] Speaker 4: emotional writing this. I'm a day one scrubber. Your podcast
[18:54] Speaker 4: has been such a constant in my life, but especially lately.
[18:56] Speaker 4: I recently welc on my third baby, girl. And as
[18:58] Speaker 4: beautiful as post part them can be, it can also
[19:01] Speaker 4: be overwhelming and pretty dark somehow. Because of the community
[19:05] Speaker 4: you've built, I've found myself in a small group chat
[19:07] Speaker 4: with other scrubbers navigating postpartum right now, and I can't
[19:10] Speaker 4: even begin to explain what it's meant to me. We
[19:12] Speaker 4: text every day, sharing advice, ving, checking in, celebrating tiny winds,
[19:16] Speaker 4: and laughing when we really need it. These women, complete
[19:20] Speaker 4: strangers brought together because of you, have helped me pull
[19:23] Speaker 4: together some really hard times. They've reminded me I'm not alone,
[19:27] Speaker 4: that I'm doing okay, and that it's okay to not
[19:29] Speaker 4: have it all together. Also, a couple of weeks ago,
[19:31] Speaker 4: when a mom wrote in about her new mom's struggles,
[19:33] Speaker 4: that really stuck with me. If she ever hears this,
[19:35] Speaker 4: please encourage her to reach out to the Facebook group.
[19:38] Speaker 4: There are so many moms in there going through the
[19:39] Speaker 4: exact same things, and it truly helps more than you
[19:42] Speaker 4: can imagine to connect with people who get it in
[19:44] Speaker 4: real time. Sometimes the people that can help you the
[19:47] Speaker 4: most aren't in your life, yet don't be afraid to
[19:50] Speaker 4: reach out and find them. That kind of connection doesn't
[19:52] Speaker 4: just happen, it exists because of the space you've created,
[19:56] Speaker 4: one that feels safe, supportive, real, and full of joy.
[19:59] Speaker 4: You've built something so much bigger than the podcast. You've
[20:01] Speaker 4: built a community that shows up for each other in
[20:03] Speaker 4: real life, in the moments that truly matter. So from
[20:06] Speaker 4: the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for
[20:07] Speaker 4: the laughs, the honesty of the comfort, and for unintentionally
[20:11] Speaker 4: bringing together people who have made such an impact on
[20:13] Speaker 4: my life. I'm beyond grateful to be a part of
[20:16] Speaker 4: this little corner of the world you've created. Sending you
[20:18] Speaker 4: all so much love and a little sleep deprived chaos
[20:21] Speaker 4: of Forever Scrubber Sabrina.
[20:24] Speaker 1: Sobrina, the nicest email ever I needed.
[20:28] Speaker 3: That. That was a boost.
[20:30] Speaker 1: Oh really, what's going on? No?
[20:32] Speaker 3: That was just lovely, lovely to read.
[20:35] Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I think at the end of the day,
[20:37] Speaker 1: like I do feel really proud of the community of
[20:40] Speaker 1: people that listen to this podcast. You know, like there's
[20:44] Speaker 1: been a lot of podcasts that have come and gone
[20:47] Speaker 1: many many come on, gone, come, gone, coming, gone. Yeah,
[20:52] Speaker 1: we stayed, we did, we have stayed, and I'm glad
[20:55] Speaker 1: because I feel like we're like doing life altogether.
[20:58] Speaker 3: July.
[21:00] Speaker 2: It really does feel like that, And I think that's
[21:02] Speaker 2: the beauty of I think our Facebook group specifically, because
[21:07] Speaker 2: there's this community of people being able to reach out
[21:09] Speaker 2: and yeah, I mean obviously there's like crazy questions on
[21:13] Speaker 2: there of like.
[21:14] Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, I've been having a little tough time
[21:17] Speaker 1: in the Facebook group lately. I might have to banish
[21:19] Speaker 1: all the anonymous posting because I find those ones to
[21:22] Speaker 1: be not so lovy.
[21:25] Speaker 2: No, so yeah, I mean, listen, the it opens. It
[21:30] Speaker 2: opens a platform for opinions and critiques.
[21:33] Speaker 1: Which we're anonymous. I don't need anonymous on the Facebook
[21:35] Speaker 1: group anymore. I'm going to go on and fix that
[21:38] Speaker 1: if I learn how.
[21:40] Speaker 3: She won't, so don't worry. The future will still be there.
[21:43] Speaker 3: I will.
[21:43] Speaker 2: But I was going to say, the really beautiful bright
[21:46] Speaker 2: spot of the Facebook group is being able to reach
[21:48] Speaker 2: out when you're in a hard time and finding that
[21:50] Speaker 2: support and love. And I love that what you said
[21:53] Speaker 2: about sometimes the people that can help you the most
[21:55] Speaker 2: aren't even in your life yet. Yeah, so thank you
[21:58] Speaker 2: for sending this, Sabrina. Congratulations on your baby, and I'm
[22:03] Speaker 2: so happy you found a supportive group of people within
[22:07] Speaker 2: the scrubbing in community.
[22:09] Speaker 1: Me too. We love you so much, Sabraina.
[22:11] Speaker 3: Yeah, we love you.
[22:13] Speaker 4: Spent a big week for birthdays. Oh my gosh, right here,
[22:17] Speaker 4: and have you even met a little scoreboard ready for
[22:18] Speaker 4: you too? See who wins today? Tanya? Has it won?
[22:24] Speaker 4: First Obama term I think was the last time Tanya won. Hey, okay,
[22:29] Speaker 4: so anyway, we're back.
[22:50] Speaker 1: We're back.
[22:53] Speaker 3: You know.
[22:53] Speaker 2: The thing about Tanya in the birthday game, though, is
[22:56] Speaker 2: that we're always rooting for her, even as the competition,
[23:02] Speaker 2: we are rooting for a victory at B I C
[23:04] Speaker 2: T O R Y.
[23:06] Speaker 3: That's Tanya's battle cry. That's her birthday battle.
[23:11] Speaker 1: I feel good today. Oh yeah, I'm feeling lucky.
[23:15] Speaker 4: All right, Well, why don't we do rock paper scissors? Okay,
[23:18] Speaker 4: all right, we'll see who rock rock paper? Here we
[23:22] Speaker 4: go and rock paper scissors. Shoots scissors, shoot rock beat scissors.
[23:28] Speaker 4: Now back. You get the choice. Now you can begin
[23:31] Speaker 4: by giving an age or begin with higher or lower
[23:33] Speaker 4: because we're playing the higher lower version. Because there's only
[23:35] Speaker 4: two of you.
[23:37] Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
[23:38] Speaker 4: What well, one person gives the age, the other person
[23:40] Speaker 4: says higher or.
[23:41] Speaker 3: I'm gonna let her go. I'm gonna let her go first.
[23:45] Speaker 4: I think that is the correct move. Here we go.
[23:48] Speaker 4: We had a big birthday earlier this week. Then I
[23:50] Speaker 4: don't want to let slide by America sweetheart. Paul Rudd
[23:55] Speaker 4: was born on Monday. How old did Paul Rudd turn
[23:58] Speaker 4: on Monday? Tanya, you turn forty seven? Beca, is it
[24:02] Speaker 4: higher or lower?
[24:04] Speaker 3: Higher?
[24:05] Speaker 4: He turned fifty seven? Very good, Becca, the man does
[24:08] Speaker 4: not age. He really does look great.
[24:10] Speaker 2: My strong star strong start a tenure, guts to start.
[24:15] Speaker 4: I feel good, Becca, This is for you a birthday today.
[24:22] Speaker 4: He's had some legal troubles recently. Hopefully it'll soon be
[24:25] Speaker 4: behind him. Lil nas X taking the Old Town Road,
[24:30] Speaker 4: possibly to jail. Button. He's hoping that his time in
[24:33] Speaker 4: rehab will make that go away. Becca. How old is
[24:36] Speaker 4: he turning today?
[24:38] Speaker 3: Twenty four?
[24:38] Speaker 4: Twenty four? Older or younger? Tanya?
[24:40] Speaker 1: Older?
[24:41] Speaker 4: He's turning twenty seven to day in New York time.
[24:44] Speaker 2: Yes, I couldn't gauge if he was like a really
[24:47] Speaker 2: young teenager.
[24:48] Speaker 3: When he popped off, I knew he was not. Okay,
[24:53] Speaker 3: what's good? It is your industry?
[24:55] Speaker 4: Next one? Also today, bunch. Today, Today is a good
[24:57] Speaker 4: day for birthdays, Tanya. This is is yours. Kristin Stewart.
[25:02] Speaker 4: Some call her Ka Stu. Kristin Stewart has a birthday today.
[25:05] Speaker 4: How old is she turning?
[25:07] Speaker 3: Thirty five?
[25:08] Speaker 4: Thirty five? It's not thirty five, Becca, older or younger
[25:12] Speaker 4: than thirty five?
[25:13] Speaker 3: Older?
[25:14] Speaker 4: Today? Kristin Sewart turns thirty six very good, Becca, it
[25:19] Speaker 4: is true to one thirty six. She's currently thirty five
[25:22] Speaker 4: as of today. Well, no, I guess as of yesterday.
[25:24] Speaker 4: All right, back to you, Becca, Elle Fanning great year
[25:31] Speaker 4: Oscar nomination. El Fanning? How old is she turning today?
[25:36] Speaker 3: I think Elle is going to I'm going to say
[25:39] Speaker 3: she's thirty.
[25:40] Speaker 4: Thirty, not thirty teeny, you're older, younger than thirty?
[25:43] Speaker 1: I always forget which one's the older one.
[25:45] Speaker 4: No, we're not going to tell you anything.
[25:47] Speaker 1: Elle or Dakota. I think she's older.
[25:50] Speaker 4: Okay, so older, younger than thirty those question older than
[25:53] Speaker 4: thirty today? El Fanning turns thirty. I'm sorry, twenty eight
[25:56] Speaker 4: years old. Twenty eight. In my card, three to one beca.
[26:04] Speaker 4: And by the way, it takes four to win. It's
[26:05] Speaker 4: the best of seven, so three to one beca. So
[26:08] Speaker 4: for the win, let's see we go to Tanya on
[26:12] Speaker 4: this one. This is a millennial icon and he's a
[26:17] Speaker 4: beautiful soul. Jesse McCartney. Jesse McCartney has a birthday to day.
[26:21] Speaker 4: How old is he? Tanya? You need this to stay
[26:23] Speaker 4: in the game. Thirty nine, thirty nine years old is
[26:26] Speaker 4: absolutely right, Tanya. Wow, you needed that and she got it.
[26:32] Speaker 3: That was a good guess.
[26:34] Speaker 4: Three to two, beca Becca for the win. Another icon
[26:40] Speaker 4: in many ways from Sex and the City, Cynthia Nixon
[26:45] Speaker 4: has a birthday to day. How old is Cynthia Nixon today?
[26:51] Speaker 4: Becca wins? Becca gets it right, she wins if she loses.
[26:54] Speaker 4: If Tany gets it right, will have a final. But
[26:57] Speaker 4: I have ready to go.
[26:59] Speaker 3: I think she is.
[27:02] Speaker 4: Fifty eight, fifty eight, all right, Tanya, older or younger
[27:06] Speaker 4: than fifty eight to stay in the game. Older than
[27:09] Speaker 4: fifty eight. Today, Cynthony Nickson turns sixty years old and
[27:14] Speaker 4: we are tied. Three Tanya three, Becca.
[27:19] Speaker 2: This is it.
[27:20] Speaker 4: It all comes down to this, Tanya. We're done with
[27:24] Speaker 4: birthdays for today. I have to look at tomorrow. But
[27:26] Speaker 4: tomorrow's got a big one. Mandy Moore. We all love
[27:30] Speaker 4: Mandy Moore. She's been in this room, sat in that
[27:32] Speaker 4: chair over there. Mandy Moore from This is Us and
[27:36] Speaker 4: many other shows and movies and music. How old is
[27:40] Speaker 4: Mandy Moore turning tomorrow? Tanya?
[27:44] Speaker 1: Forty two?
[27:46] Speaker 4: Becca, she's forty two.
[27:51] Speaker 3: Very good, Tanya.
[27:57] Speaker 2: That was.
[27:59] Speaker 3: Poetic.
[28:00] Speaker 4: Want to come back down three to one and then
[28:03] Speaker 4: hits it on the head in a row too, in
[28:06] Speaker 4: a row nailed it? You way to go Tanya.
[28:09] Speaker 1: Before Jesse McCartney.
[28:13] Speaker 3: No, before me Cynthia Nixon.
[28:15] Speaker 4: But she didn't nail that one, but she got the
[28:16] Speaker 4: over under. Oh you got nailed Jason McCartney. She nailed
[28:21] Speaker 4: man anymore and she got Cynthia Nixon. What did I
[28:24] Speaker 4: send Jason Jason McCarthy. Okay, By the way, I couldn't
[28:27] Speaker 4: use this one because of the inside knowledge. But Sophia
[28:29] Speaker 4: Carson has a birthday this week.
[28:30] Speaker 1: I was hoping I would get that one.
[28:33] Speaker 4: Did you have said thirty three? Yeah, she's thirty very good. Wow,
[28:39] Speaker 4: you want anyway? You don't need personal friends. You don't
[28:42] Speaker 4: even know Wilna.
[28:43] Speaker 3: Wow, you feel high like you gotta go take your
[28:50] Speaker 3: passport now.
[28:53] Speaker 1: Now right this second?
[28:55] Speaker 3: All right, well we have to go. Tony's gotta go
[28:57] Speaker 3: the Where do you go for that, Daly?
[29:00] Speaker 1: No, No, I know the passport photo place?
[29:03] Speaker 3: Okay, you gotta go to the passport photo.
[29:05] Speaker 4: Places CVS to get ours?
[29:07] Speaker 2: Is that?
[29:08] Speaker 1: No, I'm going to go to like it's like the
[29:10] Speaker 1: FedEx place you sent stuff.
[29:12] Speaker 4: Oh yeah, we went to a Staples once to get
[29:15] Speaker 4: something like that. It was some official Oh.
[29:18] Speaker 2: It was for U.
[29:20] Speaker 4: A pre check. Oh, but it was the back of
[29:24] Speaker 4: the staples. It looked so it seems so weird lax.
[29:27] Speaker 1: For mine.
[29:27] Speaker 3: There was a desk global entry.
[29:29] Speaker 4: Oh there it was. There's a desk set up surrounded
[29:32] Speaker 4: by office chairs that you can buy, and then there's
[29:34] Speaker 4: a dusk that you couldn't buy because it was in
[29:36] Speaker 4: use by the t S a pre check person. It
[29:38] Speaker 4: was very strange.
[29:39] Speaker 3: Wow, all right, well you've got to go. We've got
[29:42] Speaker 3: to go. A big day for you. You won the
[29:45] Speaker 3: birthday game. You float on that high.
[29:50] Speaker 2: I can't wait for the cut of this because your
[29:52] Speaker 2: nostrils were flared. If she was like crying like a wolf,
[29:56] Speaker 2: crying to the moon. All right, we love you guys
[30:00] Speaker 2: so much of a great week.
[30:01] Speaker 4: We love you.
[30:02] Speaker 3: Bye h
