St. Patrick's Day has come and gone, but we're still heading to Ireland for a discussion of THE WATCHERS, the directorial debut of M. Night Shyamalan's daughter, Ishana Night Shyamalan! Dakota Fanning stars as an aimless young woman who gets stranded in an Irish forest with three other people who are beholden to the whims of mysterioius creatures known as the Watchers. We discuss the folklore underpinning the film, parallels to THE VILLAGE and SIGNS, and how our parents traumatized us when we were growing up.
