Last time Teddy Swims sat down with us was back in 2022, pre-”Lose Control,” before the record smashing accolades and awards, before becoming a father. So it’s a big time catch up to see what he’s been up to since then and what life looks like on the other side of that success, the pressure and privilege of creating a song that people may sing for the next 40 years, and why all the awards, records, and milestones still pale in comparison to the power music has to connect people across generations. We also get into his new single "Mr. Know It All," and where things stand with his forthcoming album. As per usual the conversation goes much deeper too. Teddy opens up about learning how to become a father while living on a tour bus, the advice he's picked up from artists like Thomas Rhett and Chris Stapleton, and why therapy — both individual and couples therapy — has become such an important part of his life. We discuss break-ups, self-love, staring himself in the mirror, stretching his gauges, gardening, and upcoming music with Giveon. Plus bringing Vanessa Carlton onstage at Coachella and why being kind to yourself might be the hardest lesson of all.
