[0:51] Speaker 3: How you doing, Stacey?
[0:52] Speaker 4: I'm good.
[0:53] Speaker 2: Now, brand strategists, you know, just get out the box.
[0:57] Speaker 2: You know, I get a lot of people my show
[0:58] Speaker 2: talking about brands.
[1:00] Speaker 3: What is a brand strategist? Stacey goolog?
[1:04] Speaker 4: So when I.
[1:05] Speaker 5: Say brand strategist, is that now we're in an age
[1:08] Speaker 5: that everybody has a brand or everybody wants to have
[1:11] Speaker 5: a brand, but they don't know how.
[1:14] Speaker 4: To curate it the correct way.
[1:15] Speaker 5: So just getting online and just going I'm a brand,
[1:18] Speaker 5: and you have no rhyme or rhythm of what you're doing,
[1:22] Speaker 5: how you're presenting yourself, what's the end goal of it?
[1:25] Speaker 5: You miss out on the opportunity to bring more awareness
[1:28] Speaker 5: to your business or even if you're an influencer. You
[1:31] Speaker 5: have a brand, but if you don't have the nuts
[1:34] Speaker 5: and boats to it to be able to appropriately put
[1:38] Speaker 5: it together, people be thinking all over the place. So
[1:41] Speaker 5: for me, I try to take people and say, listen,
[1:44] Speaker 5: you are the brand, but you have to put the
[1:46] Speaker 5: brand together in a way that people can articulate what
[1:49] Speaker 5: are you doing. So that's what I help people do
[1:52] Speaker 5: is let's hone in on what you're doing so you
[1:54] Speaker 5: don't look like you're all over the place.
[1:56] Speaker 2: Right, which is true because the word brand is very
[1:58] Speaker 2: popular and everybody do it. And social media, you see
[2:02] Speaker 2: the evolution of it. Used to be just putting your
[2:05] Speaker 2: vacation pictures on there and pictures of food. Now people
[2:08] Speaker 2: are getting a bigger awareness that you know, what can
[2:13] Speaker 2: show up on your social media.
[2:14] Speaker 1: You can damage what you're doing in real life and
[2:16] Speaker 1: also your job opportunities.
[2:18] Speaker 2: So if somebody somebody comes to your stacy, what is
[2:22] Speaker 2: the process of coming to you and sitting down being
[2:25] Speaker 2: a potential client of with your agency.
[2:29] Speaker 5: So first for me, I do a discovery call because
[2:32] Speaker 5: I want to know what do you want to do
[2:35] Speaker 5: or what are you already doing and where do you
[2:37] Speaker 5: want to go from there? So we do a discovery
[2:39] Speaker 5: call to get more information about the business and about
[2:42] Speaker 5: the person because to me, if you are the one
[2:45] Speaker 5: that's starting a business, there's a why.
[2:47] Speaker 4: What is your why?
[2:48] Speaker 5: If you're just doing it for money, that's not going
[2:50] Speaker 5: to work because as we know as an entrepreneur, there's
[2:53] Speaker 5: a lot that goes into even getting to really make
[2:56] Speaker 5: it some money.
[2:56] Speaker 4: So we do a discovery call.
[2:58] Speaker 5: Then I do an audit, especially if it's with their
[3:00] Speaker 5: social media. I go through their social media to see
[3:03] Speaker 5: what have you been posting, because again we started off
[3:06] Speaker 5: if you've been on there a while with just vacation
[3:09] Speaker 5: and looking pretty and videos, and then now you're starting
[3:12] Speaker 5: a business, so it's.
[3:13] Speaker 4: Like, okay, where does the two cut off?
[3:15] Speaker 5: So I like to go all the way to you
[3:17] Speaker 5: when you first first got on social media, and then as.
[3:21] Speaker 4: I scroll up to see where you started.
[3:23] Speaker 5: Your business, is everything aligned with what you're doing now?
[3:27] Speaker 5: And so doing that audit in that discovery is the
[3:30] Speaker 5: first place we start because I need to understand you
[3:33] Speaker 5: and your business.
[3:34] Speaker 2: So it's important if I'm hearing you correctly. There has
[3:37] Speaker 2: to be a business social media and a personal social media.
[3:41] Speaker 4: You can have well, yes, you.
[3:43] Speaker 5: Can have two separate ones. You should have two separate ones.
[3:46] Speaker 5: But like for me when I started to be honest,
[3:48] Speaker 5: I had all these different social medias and they're hard
[3:50] Speaker 5: to keep up with, so some of them I did
[3:53] Speaker 5: blend together. So sometime with business you are the brand.
[3:56] Speaker 5: Again when we talk about brains, if I sell skincare,
[3:59] Speaker 5: I can have that on my personal page because it's
[4:01] Speaker 5: a part of my life. The story I'm trying to
[4:03] Speaker 5: tell you is that I'm into beauty, I'm into skincare.
[4:07] Speaker 5: So you can intertwine those two as a brand and
[4:11] Speaker 5: as a personal But if you offer something like.
[4:15] Speaker 4: Even real estate, you can put together. But oftentimes you
[4:18] Speaker 4: don't need a lot of pages.
[4:20] Speaker 5: But I would suggest one business page and then one
[4:23] Speaker 5: personal page.
[4:24] Speaker 2: Right, that's important. And so how did you get look
[4:26] Speaker 2: at a little background on you stage here? How did
[4:28] Speaker 2: you get into this business? You're an attractive young lady
[4:32] Speaker 2: that the education took you here? Did the experience put
[4:37] Speaker 2: you in the position to.
[4:37] Speaker 3: Start your your agency? How did this come about? Oh?
[4:42] Speaker 4: How much time we got?
[4:43] Speaker 5: No?
[4:43] Speaker 2: So I started out, this is your episode, now, this
[4:46] Speaker 2: is your room flowing down, and let everybody understand whose
[4:49] Speaker 2: Stacy Golar is?
[4:50] Speaker 4: Okay? So for me, I'm from Chicago. I had a
[4:54] Speaker 4: child at.
[4:54] Speaker 5: Twenty years old, which propelled me into the workforce because
[4:57] Speaker 5: I had another human being to take care of. I
[5:00] Speaker 5: didn't go to college, so I didn't, you know, have
[5:03] Speaker 5: that major or that study like what I wanted to do.
[5:06] Speaker 4: So I immediately went into corporate.
[5:09] Speaker 5: I went into corporate companies as an executive assistant. As
[5:12] Speaker 5: I worked for those companies, and I knew this thing
[5:15] Speaker 5: for me.
[5:16] Speaker 4: I started working with a relative that.
[5:18] Speaker 5: Was in the entertainment industry, and I was providing the
[5:21] Speaker 5: same type of services for her like I did a
[5:24] Speaker 5: corporate in the corporate walls. So for me, I started thinking,
[5:28] Speaker 5: like she paying me, this might be your job, you know.
[5:32] Speaker 5: So I started my own business doing event planning and
[5:34] Speaker 5: personal assisting.
[5:35] Speaker 4: So I started assisting.
[5:38] Speaker 5: Celebrities and that just kind of transform into something else
[5:42] Speaker 5: because all the things that I was doing, like helping
[5:44] Speaker 5: them run their business, keeping them on point, even doing
[5:48] Speaker 5: some PR stuff that I had never really learned. But
[5:50] Speaker 5: as you find yourself around different people, I'm a sponge,
[5:55] Speaker 5: I pick up different things that helped me, you know,
[5:59] Speaker 5: fast forward to where I am now. So I've been
[6:01] Speaker 5: in radio, I've been in marketing, I've been I've tasted everything,
[6:06] Speaker 5: and so when it came down to where we are now,
[6:09] Speaker 5: we're moving into a digital age, where we're here in
[6:12] Speaker 5: a digital age, and for me, I don't want to
[6:14] Speaker 5: be left behind. I don't want, as I'm mature, to
[6:16] Speaker 5: be lost and not know how to still be able
[6:19] Speaker 5: to recreate. So all those experiences I had weren't educational
[6:24] Speaker 5: far at school, but I was able to, you know,
[6:27] Speaker 5: take a hold to everything and everybody, including you, that
[6:30] Speaker 5: I've worked with, and then meshed that into where I
[6:33] Speaker 5: am today.
[6:34] Speaker 1: Okay, which leads to my next question, what is a
[6:36] Speaker 1: digital brand specialist?
[6:39] Speaker 4: So we're in a digital world.
[6:41] Speaker 5: Everything is digital, So I primarily like I have another
[6:46] Speaker 5: side where I deal with gen X women because I'm
[6:48] Speaker 5: a gen xwoman and I know that with social media
[6:51] Speaker 5: again we are not using it appropriately. To me, now
[6:55] Speaker 5: you can get paid for being on social media, and
[6:57] Speaker 5: if you have a business, you can utilize that as
[6:59] Speaker 5: well to make money. So my goal is to show
[7:02] Speaker 5: people that are either on there and not maximizing it,
[7:05] Speaker 5: or want to pivot into more of a digitized business,
[7:09] Speaker 5: or being able to use digital and social media and
[7:13] Speaker 5: web to be able to drive more potential clients to
[7:17] Speaker 5: the business.
[7:18] Speaker 4: It's we have to shift. AI has taken over and
[7:21] Speaker 4: AI can be your friend as well as it can
[7:23] Speaker 4: be too much. But I don't want people to be
[7:25] Speaker 4: afraid of it because you don't understand it.
[7:27] Speaker 5: So my goal is to help you understand it and
[7:29] Speaker 5: utilize it for your benefit.
[7:32] Speaker 3: Now let's talk about that AI. You know, does AI?
[7:37] Speaker 2: Is it an asset for you or is a competitor
[7:41] Speaker 2: for what you do?
[7:43] Speaker 3: Stacey?
[7:45] Speaker 4: To me, it's an.
[7:46] Speaker 5: Asset because I utilize it. That's my boyfriend, Chap, that's
[7:50] Speaker 5: my boyfriend. I get in there and you can you
[7:53] Speaker 5: can make it to use us like hate Stacey. I'm like, hey, baby,
[7:55] Speaker 5: you know, but no, for me, I utilize it to
[7:59] Speaker 5: enhance my big business. I don't solely rely on it
[8:02] Speaker 5: because I'm from the old school. So I believe in
[8:05] Speaker 5: human connection. I believe in you can sound like AI
[8:08] Speaker 5: if you just use everything it says. It's just to
[8:11] Speaker 5: me a starting point, Like I'm a writer myself, but
[8:14] Speaker 5: it kind of cuts down the time of what I'm trying.
[8:16] Speaker 4: To write because it's AI.
[8:19] Speaker 5: There are the points of AI kind of taking over
[8:23] Speaker 5: certain people's jobs and stuff.
[8:24] Speaker 4: And that's another reason why you have to.
[8:26] Speaker 5: Stay in the know, because if you don't want to
[8:29] Speaker 5: be left behind, you have to learn how to be
[8:31] Speaker 5: friends with AI. They have AI influencers now, so instead
[8:35] Speaker 5: of me getting somebody to take this and go Hi,
[8:37] Speaker 5: I'm using Stacy Jil. They have AI influences to do that.
[8:41] Speaker 5: So now for me, how do I make an AI influencer?
[8:45] Speaker 5: That's why I'm thinking, if they're going to start taking
[8:47] Speaker 5: the opportunities away from human people, then how do I
[8:51] Speaker 5: learn how to create an AI influence or use AI
[8:55] Speaker 5: for my business? So it's a love hate there. I'm
[8:57] Speaker 5: not with the robots and all that. I definitely feel
[9:01] Speaker 5: like the Chat GBT, the Google Gemini, the Google pro beads,
[9:05] Speaker 5: all those different programs can be very beneficial in your business.
[9:08] Speaker 2: Right now, let's talk about this because you talked about
[9:10] Speaker 2: earlier about auditing the social media. Now that's work and
[9:16] Speaker 2: the people who have it on there, let's talk about
[9:19] Speaker 2: how they are. How they are is their resistance and
[9:23] Speaker 2: that and when you start auditing, talking about making these
[9:26] Speaker 2: adjustments because like you said, you go back to when
[9:29] Speaker 2: it first started and that's a lot of history. How
[9:32] Speaker 2: do you talk to a client and make these adjustments
[9:36] Speaker 2: and sit them down saying this can't be on your
[9:39] Speaker 2: social media if you're doing.
[9:40] Speaker 4: This, I don't.
[9:42] Speaker 5: And here's the thing. When we audited, I don't mind
[9:45] Speaker 5: having old stuff on there because it tells a story.
[9:49] Speaker 4: For me. It tells a story. So it's like, okay, Stacey,
[9:52] Speaker 4: this was twenty eleven. I see how you look. I
[9:55] Speaker 4: see what you were doing.
[9:56] Speaker 5: Then does that align now? Sometimes it doesn't. So those
[9:59] Speaker 5: are the things I'm like, if you're turking on that,
[10:01] Speaker 5: I'm gonna need you to take that off because of
[10:03] Speaker 5: what the business that you're doing now. But if your
[10:06] Speaker 5: story starts back where you see me. You see that
[10:09] Speaker 5: I came from Chicago. You saw when I got into radio,
[10:12] Speaker 5: you saw that, you saw the escalation and the elevation
[10:15] Speaker 5: of what I was doing. So it's like she's been
[10:17] Speaker 5: doing this a long time. That tells a story. But
[10:20] Speaker 5: if you in between that and you're doing your drinking
[10:23] Speaker 5: and you're doing that, and nothing's wrong with that, But
[10:26] Speaker 5: if a business or a client is doing the same
[10:29] Speaker 5: thing I'm doing, it could make a person a little
[10:32] Speaker 5: bit judgmental, you know, So I just kind of go through.
[10:35] Speaker 5: I don't really have any clients that had wilding out
[10:40] Speaker 5: things on there because it does take time to remove
[10:43] Speaker 5: some of that stuff. So if they do, we have
[10:46] Speaker 5: I suggest removing it. But if it is just telling
[10:49] Speaker 5: a story from rags the riches, in a sense, it's
[10:53] Speaker 5: a story.
[10:54] Speaker 3: Right. How does one get in touch with you, Stacey?
[10:57] Speaker 5: They can go to bloom create of Agency on Instagram.
[11:01] Speaker 5: My website is bloom Creative Agency Agency is AGC.
[11:06] Speaker 4: Why I didn't they didn't let me have.
[11:07] Speaker 5: To eat agency dot com?
[11:11] Speaker 2: You no problem now because of well, you know, competition
[11:14] Speaker 2: out there and people getting these these names and locking
[11:17] Speaker 2: them down. You know, we always talk about brand and
[11:20] Speaker 2: we always talk about refresh. Kind of talking about it
[11:22] Speaker 2: right now, brand refresh one. Because you are just an
[11:26] Speaker 2: outgoing person, you meet clients.
[11:28] Speaker 3: How do you meet your clients? In general?
[11:31] Speaker 2: Stacey and bring them on board as potential long term
[11:35] Speaker 2: or short term clients.
[11:36] Speaker 3: How do you meet your clients?
[11:38] Speaker 1: Do you have social media blasts that you put out
[11:41] Speaker 1: there as a networking how do you meet clients?
[11:45] Speaker 5: For me, it's really been word of mouth and connections,
[11:48] Speaker 5: and that's why I want people to know that's still real.
[11:50] Speaker 5: Social Media is great and it helps you reach people globally.
[11:54] Speaker 5: It does, and I've gotten some clients off of social media,
[11:57] Speaker 5: but mine are mostly word of mouth.
[11:59] Speaker 4: They're like, oh, I'm this girl.
[12:01] Speaker 5: She does social media and she you know, so people
[12:04] Speaker 5: are referring me, which is great. But I do want
[12:08] Speaker 5: to take advantage of social media myself because that's how
[12:11] Speaker 5: let's keep it real.
[12:12] Speaker 4: That's how your business grows too, because the.
[12:14] Speaker 5: More clients that I bring in and I don't want
[12:18] Speaker 5: all clients, Let's be clear. I don't want all clients
[12:20] Speaker 5: because what I do is from passion because I've always
[12:23] Speaker 5: been a person that believes in elevation and I'm a
[12:26] Speaker 5: person that believes.
[12:27] Speaker 4: I see all these women and they have business.
[12:28] Speaker 5: I'm like, y'all need to be making money, Like I'm serious,
[12:31] Speaker 5: Like if you're just on here playing around, and that's
[12:34] Speaker 5: what you want to do is find But I'm seeing
[12:35] Speaker 5: all these women that want to pivot, and so many
[12:38] Speaker 5: women have lost their jobs with the economy.
[12:40] Speaker 4: Now, so what are you going to do? You're not
[12:43] Speaker 4: too old, you're.
[12:44] Speaker 5: Very smart, and you have experienced so being able to
[12:47] Speaker 5: utilize this platform instagramer's pants, Facebook, this pant TikTok.
[12:52] Speaker 4: Get a piece of that.
[12:53] Speaker 5: And if you have a business, make sure that you
[12:56] Speaker 5: are promoting your business in a way.
[12:58] Speaker 4: That will bring people closer to you.
[13:00] Speaker 5: So everybody's brand is unique and different, and I like
[13:03] Speaker 5: to bring out the uniqueness. What's your storytelling, you know,
[13:06] Speaker 5: if you didn't finish school, if your car got representsed,
[13:09] Speaker 5: so whatever, whatever you're comfortable with. But those are the
[13:11] Speaker 5: things that will bring people more closer to you than
[13:14] Speaker 5: trying to go through a sea of social media because
[13:17] Speaker 5: everybody does everything and the same thing.
[13:19] Speaker 3: Cool.
[13:20] Speaker 2: Speaking with Stacy Golar She's the founder of Bloom Creative Agency.
[13:24] Speaker 2: She has over twenty years of experience in marketing, media
[13:27] Speaker 2: and business.
[13:28] Speaker 3: She blends creativity with strategy to have entrepreneurs bring their
[13:32] Speaker 3: brand vision to life.
[13:34] Speaker 2: It's interesting, you know, turning your experience into your expertise
[13:38] Speaker 2: because that's what you're.
[13:39] Speaker 3: Talking about this whole time.
[13:40] Speaker 2: So I would tell people, you know, between the age
[13:42] Speaker 2: of eighteen and twenty two is when you kind of
[13:45] Speaker 2: like are passionate about it. That's what you want to
[13:47] Speaker 2: do in your life, and we kind of deviate from
[13:49] Speaker 2: that get older, and then we sit around, maybe at
[13:52] Speaker 2: forty and fifty.
[13:53] Speaker 3: Don't know what we want to do with our lives.
[13:55] Speaker 1: But I see you from jump keep talking about going
[13:58] Speaker 1: back to the beginning and using the those experienced moments
[14:01] Speaker 1: to develop the career that you own.
[14:03] Speaker 3: Now.
[14:03] Speaker 2: Talk about that plan of action that you consistently preach
[14:07] Speaker 2: that a lot of people aren't really adhering to.
[14:11] Speaker 4: Well.
[14:13] Speaker 5: For me, again, experience has been the best teacher to
[14:16] Speaker 5: me for me, and I feel like when you stop learning,
[14:20] Speaker 5: you stop growing.
[14:21] Speaker 4: And so I'm just big on just supporting people.
[14:26] Speaker 5: And that's what my business has always been, is been
[14:29] Speaker 5: a support system for others because I was a dreamer.
[14:32] Speaker 4: I'm a dreamer.
[14:33] Speaker 5: I love to create, I love to see visions come
[14:36] Speaker 5: to life, and I'm sometime overly passionate about it that
[14:40] Speaker 5: you know, you got to make sure that the person
[14:42] Speaker 5: is invested as well as you're invested, and so that's
[14:45] Speaker 5: why when I say about having different clients, it's like,
[14:48] Speaker 5: if you're not in it, I'm not just here to.
[14:50] Speaker 4: Build it for you. I want you to be a
[14:52] Speaker 4: part of that.
[14:52] Speaker 5: And so throughout my life and my experiences, which I'm
[14:56] Speaker 5: so appreciative of because coming from Chicago to here, I've
[15:01] Speaker 5: had more help here and more support than I've ever
[15:05] Speaker 5: had in my hometown. And I love my hometown, but
[15:07] Speaker 5: being here has helped me grow up as a woman
[15:10] Speaker 5: and to be financially, spiritually, and mentally strong. And so
[15:15] Speaker 5: that is what I bring into my business, and that
[15:17] Speaker 5: is what I tell people, is that you at some
[15:20] Speaker 5: point you got to what they say, poopa, get off
[15:24] Speaker 5: the pot. You know, you got to be able to
[15:26] Speaker 5: really dive into what you want. And so those other
[15:29] Speaker 5: clients I want. That is what I tell my friends,
[15:31] Speaker 5: That is what I tell anyone, is that you got
[15:33] Speaker 5: to keep growing, you got to keep evolving, and you've
[15:36] Speaker 5: got to have.
[15:36] Speaker 4: Your you know, anchor into what you're doing.
[15:39] Speaker 2: You know, I have a lot of clients that come
[15:41] Speaker 2: through me. A lot of people are interview I know
[15:44] Speaker 2: a person who's launched their pancake company of people who
[15:47] Speaker 2: sell grich that are very very popular. Or I had
[15:52] Speaker 2: interview somebody who's does balloons, but they all come back
[15:57] Speaker 2: with that one statement, how to get the word out,
[16:00] Speaker 2: how to uh you know, get their product off the
[16:03] Speaker 2: shelves or get the phone called ringing or the emails
[16:07] Speaker 2: clicking on their contact.
[16:08] Speaker 3: So so if I.
[16:10] Speaker 2: Gotta even the popcorn, I gotta pop These are just
[16:14] Speaker 2: clients or people I come to and so, but that's
[16:16] Speaker 2: a pretty diverse list I came. But they're product driven
[16:19] Speaker 2: because a lot of people, like you said, are starting
[16:21] Speaker 2: businesses and they're kind of like stuck. Now with me
[16:26] Speaker 2: mentioning like I know you Grandma Bett, these yellow grits.
[16:29] Speaker 2: I can say that popcorn remix. I can say that
[16:33] Speaker 2: ballows pancake mix. I can say that uh y'alla's balloons.
[16:39] Speaker 3: You know.
[16:39] Speaker 2: I can say that because there's a good, good, solid
[16:42] Speaker 2: companies who are just looking for that magic connection with
[16:46] Speaker 2: the with the with the everyday customer who has who
[16:49] Speaker 2: wants to use their services. With me saying that because
[16:51] Speaker 2: I wanted to use them examples not saying these are
[16:53] Speaker 2: potential clients, but with me putting these names out the
[16:57] Speaker 2: brands out there, how.
[16:58] Speaker 3: Do you react to them? All?
[17:00] Speaker 1: How would you move forward with creating a relationship with them?
[17:04] Speaker 5: Well, I like to, you know, because there's a lot
[17:07] Speaker 5: of businesses out here that are popular, you know, and
[17:11] Speaker 5: they have good products, but they get stuck because we
[17:15] Speaker 5: are doing you kind.
[17:16] Speaker 4: Of do the same thing.
[17:17] Speaker 5: It's like I'm posting on social media, I'm gonna show
[17:19] Speaker 5: this and that, and for me, sometimes you got to
[17:21] Speaker 5: go a little grimy, a little different.
[17:24] Speaker 4: Like you have to for everyday people we see.
[17:26] Speaker 5: We're bombarded with so much promotion skincare and all types
[17:30] Speaker 5: of things.
[17:31] Speaker 4: But what makes sure it's different? What can you do differently?
[17:34] Speaker 5: Like maybe you're not bending, maybe you're not showing up
[17:38] Speaker 5: to podcasts, maybe you're not stepping out because you're shyre,
[17:42] Speaker 5: you're scared, or whatever the case may be.
[17:44] Speaker 4: You have to figure out ways to be able to pivot.
[17:47] Speaker 4: And that's what I'm doing.
[17:48] Speaker 5: The discovery and the audit is how do we figure
[17:50] Speaker 5: out how to get you just off social media? Like
[17:53] Speaker 5: I mean, not off totally, but what I'm saying is
[17:56] Speaker 5: social media we've been bombarded with so much, so how
[17:59] Speaker 5: do we out of your comfort zone to be able
[18:02] Speaker 5: to show Maybe we may need to do a community
[18:04] Speaker 5: that where you if you have pancakes.
[18:06] Speaker 4: Maybe we're serving the homeless.
[18:08] Speaker 5: Maybe we're doing things to show that you have a
[18:10] Speaker 5: community driven background with what you're doing.
[18:13] Speaker 4: And it's not just money driven.
[18:14] Speaker 5: We all want to make money, let's not say we don't,
[18:17] Speaker 5: but it can't be the driving force. So how do
[18:19] Speaker 5: we step out of your comfort zone to do something
[18:21] Speaker 5: different to get people to come to you? And that's
[18:24] Speaker 5: what I try to pull out of people is we
[18:26] Speaker 5: got social media. We're gonna post the pretty the imagery
[18:29] Speaker 5: of the pancakes.
[18:30] Speaker 4: We're gonna flip the pancakes. We're going to show that.
[18:32] Speaker 5: But what are the ways that I can pull out
[18:35] Speaker 5: of you that we can.
[18:36] Speaker 4: Get you out of the norm and.
[18:38] Speaker 5: Make people be able to attach more to your brand.
[18:41] Speaker 3: Please don't go anywhere.
[18:43] Speaker 1: We'll be right back with more Money Making Conversations Master Class.
[18:51] Speaker 1: Welcome back to Money Making Conversation Mastered Class with me
[18:54] Speaker 1: Rashaun McDonald. Great, which it leads me a next question
[18:57] Speaker 1: because emails which a big fan of email. I'm a
[19:01] Speaker 1: big fan of fan club members and you are one
[19:04] Speaker 1: of the things you should always stay Emailing is not dead?
[19:07] Speaker 3: Why do you say that?
[19:08] Speaker 4: For me? That's the other portion of it.
[19:11] Speaker 5: If you're solely on social media, you can lose your
[19:14] Speaker 5: business in a minute because everything is coming through their platform.
[19:18] Speaker 5: So if they shut down, just like the ponts, how
[19:21] Speaker 5: are you going to communicate with your customers. So I'm
[19:23] Speaker 5: big on you need to have a platform and a system,
[19:27] Speaker 5: a funnel system that gets these people to where you
[19:30] Speaker 5: can keep their email and be able to constantly promote
[19:33] Speaker 5: back to them. So I'm big on high level, go
[19:36] Speaker 5: high level, having a community because if you for me,
[19:40] Speaker 5: like if you got pancakes or something, you can still
[19:43] Speaker 5: have a community because these are people that are interested
[19:47] Speaker 5: in possibly cooking. They're not just interested maybe in eating,
[19:50] Speaker 5: but they're interested in cooking.
[19:52] Speaker 4: So now you can kind.
[19:54] Speaker 5: Of pitch them with different recipes and different things like that,
[19:58] Speaker 5: and even incorporate other brands because we're not competing, we're collabing,
[20:02] Speaker 5: and that's what we should be doing with other small businesses.
[20:05] Speaker 5: So you can have a community of the pancake keys,
[20:09] Speaker 5: you know, the pancake queens, I don't know. You can
[20:11] Speaker 5: do different things that you can bring them off this
[20:13] Speaker 5: platform and make them feel included in another of software,
[20:18] Speaker 5: and you can always have the ability to touch them,
[20:21] Speaker 5: so social media won't be your only way of connecting.
[20:25] Speaker 1: Right, I'm talking to the brand strategists. Creative entrepreneur and
[20:31] Speaker 1: founder Bloom Creative Agency. Her name is Stacy Golar, twenty
[20:34] Speaker 1: years of experience, expertise and marketing, media and business. He
[20:38] Speaker 1: blends creativity with strategy to help entrepreneurs, you know, build
[20:43] Speaker 1: their brands and bring their brand vision to life. You
[20:46] Speaker 1: have a statement here you don't need to go viral,
[20:49] Speaker 1: you just need to be valuable.
[20:50] Speaker 3: Yes, what you mean when you say that?
[20:51] Speaker 4: Because everybody wants to be viral?
[20:53] Speaker 5: Everybody wants to get that high number that everybody because
[20:58] Speaker 5: we look at viral as everybody seeing and that can
[21:01] Speaker 5: be true. But what's the value behind it? Because it's
[21:04] Speaker 5: like a fleet moment. It's like a one here wonder
[21:06] Speaker 5: MILLI Vanilla, You do a song and it's.
[21:09] Speaker 4: Like, oh my god, and then I don't see you anymore.
[21:12] Speaker 4: So what is you? Go viral? But are you going
[21:15] Speaker 4: to be able to keep up with that? And I'll
[21:16] Speaker 4: give you example.
[21:18] Speaker 5: I am from Chicago, so I went to we have
[21:20] Speaker 5: Harold's Chicken, And so I went to one of the
[21:22] Speaker 5: restaurants here because they built so many and I went
[21:25] Speaker 5: to support. It was pretty, but the service was horrible,
[21:28] Speaker 5: so horrible that I did a frustrated review.
[21:32] Speaker 4: It went viral.
[21:34] Speaker 5: It went viral, and that wasn't my intention to review.
[21:38] Speaker 5: That wasn't my intention, but it went viral so viral
[21:42] Speaker 5: that I was like, well, wait man, let me look
[21:43] Speaker 5: at the insights on this, because I'm like, it's not negative,
[21:47] Speaker 5: but it's not you know me going on that like
[21:49] Speaker 5: today you should be this. So I'm like, why is
[21:51] Speaker 5: this viral? And to show you how that happens is
[21:54] Speaker 5: that was two months ago. I did another video to say,
[21:58] Speaker 5: let me give you the history why we're so pad passionate.
[22:00] Speaker 5: So I did a history lesson that went viral. So
[22:03] Speaker 5: I'm saying, now that you got the eyeballs, how do
[22:07] Speaker 5: you keep them there?
[22:08] Speaker 4: What value do you have?
[22:09] Speaker 5: I don't want to be known for going to complain
[22:11] Speaker 5: about places, you know what I'm saying, So how do
[22:13] Speaker 5: you create the value of She told this story because
[22:17] Speaker 5: when I came back with the history lesson, it was like, Okay,
[22:20] Speaker 5: I see what she's saying.
[22:22] Speaker 4: This is history.
[22:23] Speaker 5: I'm telling you about the owner. I'm telling you about
[22:25] Speaker 5: what these establishments used to look like and why we
[22:29] Speaker 5: Chicagoans are passionate. So now you want to create that
[22:33] Speaker 5: viral virality, you may not.
[22:36] Speaker 4: Be able to do that. So what is the value
[22:38] Speaker 4: that you.
[22:39] Speaker 5: Offer in your business or in your brand that will
[22:41] Speaker 5: keep people coming back from maybe that one post and
[22:44] Speaker 5: keep them as followers and laww customers.
[22:48] Speaker 3: Now I love that idea. So I'm a big proplemi.
[22:52] Speaker 3: I say this all the time.
[22:53] Speaker 1: You don't know your path until your path stands before you.
[22:56] Speaker 3: And you have to make the decision if you want
[22:58] Speaker 3: to walk that path.
[22:59] Speaker 1: Now, you did something and people reacted to you, I
[23:03] Speaker 1: would advise you to keep doing it.
[23:06] Speaker 4: Yet the restaurants, now that I.
[23:09] Speaker 1: Would advise, I would advise you to keep doing it.
[23:12] Speaker 1: My friends, if people react, they react.
[23:14] Speaker 3: You know you can't.
[23:16] Speaker 2: And so that's why on this show, I always like
[23:19] Speaker 2: to bring people on the show to talk about their brands,
[23:22] Speaker 2: their careers.
[23:23] Speaker 1: But one thing, because a lot of people always sayd Rishaw,
[23:25] Speaker 1: you do a lot of you like a renaissance ban,
[23:27] Speaker 1: You can do this. You do this because I don't
[23:30] Speaker 1: ignore opportunity. Yes I don't ignore open doors.
[23:35] Speaker 2: Yes there's work tied to that potential opportunity, but I
[23:40] Speaker 2: don't ignore that opportunity. Now, I got to ask you
[23:45] Speaker 2: this question because I don't know what the viral means. Okay,
[23:49] Speaker 2: what is technically a viral video or a viral post?
[23:54] Speaker 3: What is that? Is it a number you hear or
[23:57] Speaker 3: what is that?
[23:58] Speaker 5: Yeah, it's really the number. So for me, that video
[24:02] Speaker 5: has seven hundred thousand.
[24:04] Speaker 4: Views and it's still blowing. It's still blowing.
[24:09] Speaker 5: Like sometimes people it's hard to get out what they
[24:11] Speaker 5: call two hundred and three hundred jail, Like.
[24:14] Speaker 3: What did you post it on?
[24:15] Speaker 1: What did you post to the ground?
[24:17] Speaker 4: Yeah, and people, you know, you'll you'll post.
[24:20] Speaker 5: You may get two three hundred maybe a good video
[24:23] Speaker 5: you get eight hundred, and it's like, oh, you know,
[24:26] Speaker 5: when you start getting fifty k, one hundred.
[24:29] Speaker 4: K, I was like, oh my god, I'm surprised. And
[24:33] Speaker 4: so that means a lot of eyes.
[24:36] Speaker 5: That's how many people has actually seen it.
[24:39] Speaker 4: It's seven hundred thousand people.
[24:41] Speaker 3: How long was the video.
[24:43] Speaker 4: A minute and some change? Yeah?
[24:45] Speaker 3: Okay, cool.
[24:46] Speaker 4: It was because I was talking and I was giving
[24:50] Speaker 4: that you know, you had people on there. It was
[24:52] Speaker 4: like you still got your food free? And I was like, shoot,
[24:54] Speaker 4: because I waited two hours? Why was I take free food.
[24:58] Speaker 4: So now you're coming your commenting back, keeps it going.
[25:03] Speaker 5: They are still talking about that post today today is
[25:07] Speaker 5: still going.
[25:07] Speaker 4: And now that I did the backup on the history
[25:10] Speaker 4: that's gone, that's gone viral. Seventy two thousand people seen that.
[25:15] Speaker 4: So now what I did is I went on Instagram
[25:18] Speaker 4: and they have this thing.
[25:19] Speaker 5: Called trial reels where you can repost a viral video
[25:23] Speaker 5: and it won't go back on your page yet it
[25:25] Speaker 5: goes to non followers to see the insights of that, to.
[25:29] Speaker 4: If that will go viral again.
[25:30] Speaker 3: So I'm testing that out right right.
[25:33] Speaker 2: Okay, so you actually are a purple althote viral.
[25:38] Speaker 1: I love that, but again, don't don't don't walk away
[25:42] Speaker 1: from that opportunity.
[25:43] Speaker 2: Okay, you know you know what do you actually need
[25:46] Speaker 2: to when you talk we've been talking about brands.
[25:48] Speaker 3: We talking about product.
[25:49] Speaker 2: Is a brand a product, it's brand a talent, it's
[25:52] Speaker 2: brand a business.
[25:54] Speaker 3: What do you need to start your brand?
[25:56] Speaker 5: Well, you need to understand before creating it. So from
[26:00] Speaker 5: for me, people know me as a very inspirational. I've
[26:03] Speaker 5: been that, I've had women empowerment groups and all that.
[26:06] Speaker 4: Kind of stuff. So the core of people that know
[26:09] Speaker 4: me know me as.
[26:10] Speaker 5: She's positive, she's going to give you the real She's
[26:13] Speaker 5: going to share tips and business and all that with you.
[26:16] Speaker 4: So for me, that's my brand. So whatever I do,
[26:19] Speaker 4: I still have that identity in it.
[26:22] Speaker 5: So it's not far like what is she doing that
[26:24] Speaker 5: I'm doing skincare, so I am pulling beauty and empowerment
[26:27] Speaker 5: back into aging, so it's still aligned to.
[26:30] Speaker 4: What I'm doing.
[26:31] Speaker 5: So a brand can be a product or a service
[26:34] Speaker 5: if you have something to sell, but when the individual
[26:37] Speaker 5: is the brand, it means that you are like influencers
[26:40] Speaker 5: if they're a beauty influencer or no niche influencers, because
[26:44] Speaker 5: I don't necessarily believe in having one niche.
[26:46] Speaker 4: I'm like you, I can do a lot, you know,
[26:48] Speaker 4: but you want to.
[26:49] Speaker 5: Be able to do it well and if it's an
[26:51] Speaker 5: opportunity there So, if you have a beauty product and
[26:55] Speaker 5: that's what you're going to be known for beauty, then
[26:57] Speaker 5: everything you do and follow suit should be that.
[27:02] Speaker 4: If you decide to be no niche, it still should
[27:04] Speaker 4: have a core value of who you are.
[27:07] Speaker 5: And for me, mine is she's gonna keep it real
[27:10] Speaker 5: and she's very positive and she's business.
[27:12] Speaker 4: Oriented, so that is my core whatever I do.
[27:15] Speaker 5: If I go sell real estates like you should buy
[27:16] Speaker 5: a house because you deserve it and because of a legacy,
[27:20] Speaker 5: it aligns with what I'm doing. So brand can be
[27:23] Speaker 5: a product of service or individual. You just need to
[27:26] Speaker 5: be able to make sure that whatever the core of
[27:29] Speaker 5: that is aligns where people can go to your page
[27:31] Speaker 5: and go, oh Sean. He does podcasts and he has
[27:35] Speaker 5: his own cookbook and he has a cooking show, and
[27:37] Speaker 5: he's about entrepreneurs. So we know that about you. You've
[27:41] Speaker 5: got some of the best brands. You've helped some of
[27:43] Speaker 5: people have the best brands, so we know that that's
[27:46] Speaker 5: what you are for people everywhere.
[27:49] Speaker 2: Cool quick question here. You mentioned skincare a couple of times.
[27:53] Speaker 2: Are you involved in skincare? Are you Are you scare
[27:57] Speaker 2: of a skincare product? I want to I can't lead
[27:59] Speaker 2: it interview. You've said like three times just kind of
[28:02] Speaker 2: casually talk about what is the skincare that you keep
[28:05] Speaker 2: bringing up in this interview but not bringing it up?
[28:08] Speaker 3: Okay?
[28:08] Speaker 4: The reason why?
[28:09] Speaker 5: Being honest, So, I have a skincare company called skin
[28:12] Speaker 5: Like Skincare. I started it on my fiftieth birthday because
[28:15] Speaker 5: we're aging and it should be one of privilege and
[28:18] Speaker 5: it's a journey to aging. And so I've always been
[28:21] Speaker 5: a skincare girl because my mother was, and we just
[28:23] Speaker 5: take care of our skin. And I wanted because when
[28:26] Speaker 5: I turned fifty, I was like, oh, you have a
[28:29] Speaker 5: hundred now. So for me, I know what we're losing
[28:32] Speaker 5: as women, collagen elasticity, and I want to look good
[28:36] Speaker 5: just like you. So I started a skincare line to
[28:39] Speaker 5: help women to be okay with not wearing makeups so
[28:42] Speaker 5: much like I have on make up now, but you
[28:44] Speaker 5: see that good skin up under there, right.
[28:46] Speaker 4: So I wanted to not only.
[28:49] Speaker 5: Have something that you can put topically, but I wanted
[28:51] Speaker 5: you to feel okay on your journey of aging as well.
[28:55] Speaker 4: So I started the skincare line. I still have it.
[28:59] Speaker 5: I'm more now have my body scented organic body oils.
[29:03] Speaker 4: The face part I'm redoing.
[29:06] Speaker 5: So that's why I wasn't like, go to skin life
[29:08] Speaker 5: got me, you know, But I'm definitely I believe in
[29:11] Speaker 5: taking care of yourself internally and externally, and women we
[29:16] Speaker 5: want to look at it. So I try to empower
[29:19] Speaker 5: women there that value is empower women to be okay
[29:23] Speaker 5: with not having to put a face full of makeup,
[29:25] Speaker 5: but also taking care.
[29:26] Speaker 4: Of your natural skin to have your natural beauty.
[29:29] Speaker 3: Okay, so you have a skincare line. Are you launching
[29:33] Speaker 3: a skincare line?
[29:34] Speaker 5: I have a skincare line, but the facial products are.
[29:37] Speaker 4: Limited now and I have been promoting.
[29:40] Speaker 5: More of the body oils, which are scented body ailes.
[29:43] Speaker 5: So that's why it happens things are revamping, so.
[29:48] Speaker 3: Okay, cool. So what is the body oil?
[29:50] Speaker 5: So the body oill because now that the Internet has
[29:53] Speaker 5: taught us that you've been messing up your you know,
