[0:35] Speaker 1: and group trips as they own a global travel design
[0:39] Speaker 1: a full service travel agency under the Cruise Planners franchise.
[0:43] Speaker 1: She helps individuals, businesses, family reunions, churches, fraternities, sororities and
[0:49] Speaker 1: organizations plans stress free, high value trips. That's what we're
[0:54] Speaker 1: talking about. We about to go cruising. Everybody, Please welcome
[0:57] Speaker 1: to Money Making Conversations Masterclass and long, how you doing this?
[1:03] Speaker 2: Long? Hey, hiray Sean, thank you for having me.
[1:06] Speaker 1: First of all, I added some mustard to the sandwich.
[1:09] Speaker 1: I added fraternities, I added soroar dies. I added churches.
[1:13] Speaker 1: I added family unions, because all these groups need to
[1:17] Speaker 1: understand and value the cruise experience. Tell us about it.
[1:24] Speaker 2: Okay, so cruising is one of my favorite form of
[1:31] Speaker 2: vacation in there's nothing like packing once getting on the
[1:37] Speaker 2: ship on the wide open seam and you don't have
[1:43] Speaker 2: to unpack again. You wake up every day in a
[1:49] Speaker 2: new destination.
[1:52] Speaker 1: With food, food, food food. Only.
[1:57] Speaker 2: Cruising allows you to vacation in that way.
[2:02] Speaker 1: Well, let me just let me just go and do
[2:04] Speaker 1: the disclaimer. I called Angelita, let her know my background.
[2:09] Speaker 1: I used to stand I used to perform as a
[2:11] Speaker 1: stand up comedian, and I performed on at least eighty
[2:14] Speaker 1: cruise ships around this world. You know, Norwegian Cruise Line,
[2:20] Speaker 1: Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. I've been on Disney's Line, Disney
[2:24] Speaker 1: Cruise Lines, I've been on Viking. So I told her, look,
[2:27] Speaker 1: I am a fan and advocate of cruising, and she said,
[2:32] Speaker 1: thank you. Now, what I want to do is, but
[2:34] Speaker 1: I don't know the background of cruising and why people
[2:38] Speaker 1: find it soul inviting and those little details I want
[2:43] Speaker 1: to know about from you. Let's talk about the black
[2:46] Speaker 1: experience when it comes to cruising and that's what you're
[2:50] Speaker 1: in an African American and when you're approaching people of
[2:53] Speaker 1: color about cruising, what are the big cell points for
[2:57] Speaker 1: cruising for them?
[3:01] Speaker 2: Okay, so the big sale point for cruising, especially for
[3:08] Speaker 2: African American. So in recent years, I find that we're
[3:14] Speaker 2: doing a lot of multi generational traveling, so grandparents are
[3:19] Speaker 2: traveling with you know, parents with their children and then
[3:25] Speaker 2: their grandchildren. The appeal is the all inclusive convenience because
[3:32] Speaker 2: cruising it takes the stress out of the travel. When
[3:36] Speaker 2: you cruise, are your cruise fear, it covers your accommodation,
[3:40] Speaker 2: you're dining and like you said, you used to perform
[3:42] Speaker 2: on the cruise ship. So the entertainment and transportation to
[3:46] Speaker 2: the multiple destinations that you get to visit. And that's
[3:52] Speaker 2: another big point is you get to visit multiple destinations
[3:56] Speaker 2: in one trip on a one week crew depending on
[4:00] Speaker 2: the itinerary, you need to see anywhere from three to
[4:05] Speaker 2: even seven depending on the itinerary, again, seven different locations.
[4:10] Speaker 2: The other thing is cruising has something for everyone. So
[4:13] Speaker 2: whether you know the adventure lovers, because some of these
[4:16] Speaker 2: cruise ships they're floating hotels plus more, you have you know,
[4:23] Speaker 2: rock climbing, rollercoasters, Yes, yes, go karts, Come on, baby,
[4:33] Speaker 2: it's all there. So you know, we satisfy the adventure lovers.
[4:38] Speaker 2: If you want relaxation, there's some of that there for
[4:40] Speaker 2: you too. You know those to one entertainment Again, you
[4:44] Speaker 2: said you performing cruise ships. Some of these cruise ships
[4:46] Speaker 2: they have broad Way shows, you know, Broadway productions every
[4:51] Speaker 2: night on the ship.
[4:53] Speaker 1: Now exciting, that's exciting to know. Now let me ask
[4:57] Speaker 1: you this MS long. You know, you know you're twenty
[5:01] Speaker 1: four year veterment. Thank you for your service to this country.
[5:04] Speaker 1: Now that was in the military. How did you make
[5:07] Speaker 1: a transition into travel? What made that? What was the
[5:11] Speaker 1: drive that got you from the military to become a
[5:14] Speaker 1: travel or a cruise expert.
[5:18] Speaker 2: So that goes back a long, long, long way more
[5:24] Speaker 2: than twenty four years. See, I grew up in Jamaica
[5:28] Speaker 2: where my mom ran a villa and I used to
[5:32] Speaker 2: watch my mom turns people vacation into lifelong memories. So
[5:36] Speaker 2: I learned at an early age the transformative power of travel,
[5:40] Speaker 2: how travel can change your life, how it can build connections,
[5:43] Speaker 2: how it opened doors and again, how it can turn
[5:46] Speaker 2: strangers into friends. And so as a kid, I always
[5:51] Speaker 2: wanted to travel. So I joined the military and my
[5:56] Speaker 2: first employment was to Iraq, rightow. Definitely not the glamorous
[6:01] Speaker 2: adventure I hoped I would, you know, I hoped I
[6:05] Speaker 2: would you.
[6:06] Speaker 1: Okay, you went to Iraq? What was joining the military?
[6:09] Speaker 1: What did you expect and travel? Just help me out
[6:12] Speaker 1: what what? What did you expect that they may station
[6:16] Speaker 1: you are, you may go that you felt would be
[6:19] Speaker 1: adventurous or glamorous.
[6:22] Speaker 2: So, you know, my recruiter told me I could travel
[6:25] Speaker 2: the world and Uncle Tom's done. So when you hear that,
[6:32] Speaker 2: you're definitely not picturing Iraq. You know, your picturing places
[6:37] Speaker 2: like Hawaii, which I did get to go after all.
[6:40] Speaker 2: You know, we're thinking of Hawaii, Germany, those places, right right.
[6:47] Speaker 2: So nonetheless, going to Iraq was an exposure to It
[6:53] Speaker 2: was a great exposure. I was exposed to different culture,
[6:57] Speaker 2: which you know, it's something that we all need to
[7:00] Speaker 2: learn about when we travel and we get exposed, you know,
[7:04] Speaker 2: we get exposed to the different culture. We understand why
[7:07] Speaker 2: certain people are the way they are, and you know,
[7:10] Speaker 2: in a way that reduces the stereotype that we have
[7:13] Speaker 2: in our mind about certain people.
[7:16] Speaker 1: That's true, that's true. I know that I travel a lot,
[7:19] Speaker 1: and you know, you only you only know what you
[7:23] Speaker 1: learn or you see. You know, I will tell you this.
[7:26] Speaker 1: When I went to Africa, I went to South Africa.
[7:29] Speaker 1: I was so I want you to say, stupid, because
[7:32] Speaker 1: I had bought into the stereotypes that I was going
[7:35] Speaker 1: to an area that may not have the technology, and
[7:38] Speaker 1: I was going. I went down to the Durban, which
[7:40] Speaker 1: is just south of Johannesburg, and UH was doing the
[7:44] Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show live broadcast and I just did
[7:47] Speaker 1: not believe that we could do a live broadcast in Durban,
[7:50] Speaker 1: South Africa, let alone Johannesburg. I was going to Durban.
[7:53] Speaker 1: And because if you don't travel, you kind of be
[7:57] Speaker 1: you're only going to see what you know are you've
[7:59] Speaker 1: been told or you've been brainwashed to the perception of
[8:03] Speaker 1: And going to Durban was just like landing in Atlanta, Georgia,
[8:07] Speaker 1: just like landing in Houston, Texas. Is just a lot
[8:10] Speaker 1: more black people. That's all. That's what I think travel
[8:13] Speaker 1: brought to me. And I've been to Italy, I've been
[8:15] Speaker 1: to France, I've been to all the Caribbean islands. I've
[8:19] Speaker 1: been to Bermuda. Of course, probably forty two out of
[8:22] Speaker 1: the fifty the United States and states in the United States,
[8:25] Speaker 1: and that really has changed my understanding. That's why I
[8:28] Speaker 1: always recommend travel. And that's my big takeaway is that
[8:32] Speaker 1: you do educate and you do learn learn a lot
[8:35] Speaker 1: about yourself in this world when you do travel.
[8:38] Speaker 2: Correct, Oh, definitely. So yeah, it changes your perspective. It's
[8:46] Speaker 2: every time you travel, it's an education. It's you know,
[8:50] Speaker 2: you learn about history.
[8:53] Speaker 1: Here's here's my thing about you. You know, this military experience,
[8:57] Speaker 1: you know, you've been training, you was in there for
[8:59] Speaker 1: twenty four years. How did it prepare you for business ownership?
[9:02] Speaker 1: Because I was like, because a lot of people don't
[9:04] Speaker 1: know how to pivot, you know, they've been doing something
[9:06] Speaker 1: for so long. Now were you doing certain things in
[9:09] Speaker 1: the military they prepared you for business ownership? Or it
[9:13] Speaker 1: was just a natural calling because your mom was doing
[9:16] Speaker 1: this when you was in Jamaica.
[9:21] Speaker 2: So I would say, it's a little bit of boat. So,
[9:26] Speaker 2: you know, like I said, I was trends. I was
[9:29] Speaker 2: indoctrinated into the travel industry at an early age. But
[9:34] Speaker 2: being in the military, you learn, you learn resiliency, you know,
[9:39] Speaker 2: you learn how to plan. You know, you get good
[9:44] Speaker 2: at logistics and being resilient. Yeah, it's a part of
[9:50] Speaker 2: knowing how to pivot. And you're right, not everyone knows
[9:54] Speaker 2: how to do this. But I was as I was
[9:56] Speaker 2: preparing for my transition out of the military, and I
[10:00] Speaker 2: was sitting in one of the transition classes, and you know,
[10:03] Speaker 2: some of my peers were there stressing about their next job.
[10:09] Speaker 2: And It's just dawned on me, like, I've done this
[10:11] Speaker 2: for twenty four years, you know, I've I'm going to say,
[10:15] Speaker 2: you know, punch the clock. Why do I want to
[10:18] Speaker 2: keep doing this? You know because in the military, you know,
[10:23] Speaker 2: you're in schedule. There's a schedule, and everything you do
[10:28] Speaker 2: relates to something that is bigger than you. So I'm like,
[10:33] Speaker 2: you know, why do I want to keep Why do
[10:35] Speaker 2: I want to keep punching the clock? And you know,
[10:39] Speaker 2: it just dawn on me that after so many years,
[10:42] Speaker 2: I've been exposed to so many different things, you know,
[10:48] Speaker 2: why not do something that I love that I want
[10:51] Speaker 2: to do. In addition to that, I also I have
[10:55] Speaker 2: a young child, and I'm like, I wanted to be
[10:57] Speaker 2: more available for my son and travel. I we love
[11:04] Speaker 2: to travel, even before you know, I became a travel
[11:08] Speaker 2: advisor and I would always help my friends with with
[11:11] Speaker 2: their travels. They would always call me up like where
[11:14] Speaker 2: can I find this deal? You know I want to
[11:17] Speaker 2: go here? You know, who should I book it with?
[11:19] Speaker 2: And so my friends was like, why don't you go
[11:21] Speaker 2: be a travel agent? You're already doing it.
[11:23] Speaker 1: I'm so so you were just hooking up everybody. You
[11:29] Speaker 1: were the person they came to. What hotels should I
[11:31] Speaker 1: stay in? What's the airline? Freaking flyer plans, things like that,
[11:35] Speaker 1: vacation packages, and you was just kind of like doing
[11:37] Speaker 1: it as a friend to a friend, and that became
[11:41] Speaker 1: your path to your success. And I always tell people
[11:43] Speaker 1: that a lot of people ignore revenue because they don't
[11:46] Speaker 1: see it being possible. How did you see it being
[11:49] Speaker 1: possible getting into the travel agency business or travel business
[11:53] Speaker 1: and eventually becoming a cruise line expert?
[11:58] Speaker 2: Okay, so you know you can't be what you can't see.
[12:04] Speaker 2: I don't remember who said that, but that's the saying
[12:07] Speaker 2: that's always stuck stuck with me. And thinking back to
[12:14] Speaker 2: when I was in Jamaica, like I said, my mom
[12:17] Speaker 2: r and the villa Jamaica is big on tourism and
[12:22] Speaker 2: we have for a long time. I would think, Okay,
[12:25] Speaker 2: how is it that you know black people are always
[12:29] Speaker 2: the workers, but I rarely ever saw any black leaders
[12:33] Speaker 2: at the top of the industry. And so you know,
[12:38] Speaker 2: like I say, at an early age, I always wanted
[12:40] Speaker 2: to travel. And then when I decided to get out
[12:43] Speaker 2: and be a travel advisor. Early on, I went to
[12:47] Speaker 2: a travel show and as I looked around in the room,
[12:50] Speaker 2: I could count the amount of black professionals in that
[12:53] Speaker 2: room on one hand. And I'm like, nah, nah, nah nah.
[12:57] Speaker 2: I'm like, you know, black people, we spend a lot
[13:00] Speaker 2: of money in travel. I said, if the table isn't
[13:04] Speaker 2: big enough for us to fit there, we don't have
[13:06] Speaker 2: to make our own table.
[13:08] Speaker 1: Love it.
[13:09] Speaker 3: Please don't go anywhere. We'll be right back with more

[13:36] Speaker 1: When I was growing up, Smoking Robinson had this cruise
[13:39] Speaker 1: and I know he wasn't talking about the cruise that
[13:42] Speaker 1: we're talking about. But it was such a cruising song.
[13:45] Speaker 1: And I've been cruising a long time personally. I take
[13:48] Speaker 1: my family cruising. I've been on the Disney cruise, i
[13:50] Speaker 1: went up to Alaska, I went out to the Caribbean
[13:54] Speaker 1: for several days. I've been on the three day cruise,
[13:56] Speaker 1: I've been on the seven day cruise. I've been on
[13:58] Speaker 1: the river cruises all along. I come back Miss Long
[14:03] Speaker 1: talking about that food. That food, the food in the morning,
[14:06] Speaker 1: the food at lunch, the food at dinner time, the
[14:09] Speaker 1: food at midnight. And also they have a little specialty
[14:13] Speaker 1: restaurants on these cruise ships. Talk to us about that
[14:16] Speaker 1: food experience on these cruise lines. Miss Long.
[14:21] Speaker 2: Okay, so you know, like you said, there is food here,
[14:24] Speaker 2: There is food there. There is food everywhere. The one
[14:29] Speaker 2: thing that you're not going to be on a cruise
[14:32] Speaker 2: is hungry. Yes, So I'm included in your cruise sphere.
[14:40] Speaker 2: Your food is included. So on every cruise, well except
[14:44] Speaker 2: for one, there's going to be a buffet. That buffet
[14:47] Speaker 2: is almost open almost all the time, and every kind
[14:50] Speaker 2: of food you can think of is on that buffet line.
[14:55] Speaker 2: It's there, and a lot of times each day. They
[14:59] Speaker 2: have like a little space shelter section and they change
[15:01] Speaker 2: up that section every day, you know, just to bring
[15:03] Speaker 2: in something fresh and new and jutt it up, jutt
[15:06] Speaker 2: it up. Yeah. You know.
[15:08] Speaker 1: The thing about it is they do have a little
[15:10] Speaker 1: gym there. You know, if you want to be a
[15:12] Speaker 1: person who act like they want to stay in shape.
[15:14] Speaker 1: But I don't know why you want to go on
[15:16] Speaker 1: a cruise with all this great food. I mean, she's
[15:19] Speaker 1: not kid ice cream beyond that, desserts, beyond their cookies.
[15:23] Speaker 2: Everything everything, and yeah, you know if you're that gym time. Yeah,
[15:29] Speaker 2: they do have state of the art gems, all the ships, right, yes,
[15:32] Speaker 2: everything of the food is there. So in addition to
[15:34] Speaker 2: the buffet, and we ain't even like the Google part yet,
[15:36] Speaker 2: but in addition to the buffet, you know, they have
[15:38] Speaker 2: the burgage ones, they have the hot doll joints, they
[15:41] Speaker 2: have the piece of shop. Yeah, they have the little
[15:43] Speaker 2: ice cream parlor. Everybody walking around, you know, the kid,
[15:46] Speaker 2: the kid and you come out because you know, growing
[15:48] Speaker 2: faks who don't eat ice cream at home. They walking
[15:50] Speaker 2: around with their ice cream cone.
[15:52] Speaker 1: And then something some cruise if you do where they
[15:55] Speaker 1: walk around with food on a little tray, you know,
[15:57] Speaker 1: like act like you can't see the food. They just
[15:59] Speaker 1: come by. You want some snacks while you sitting by
[16:01] Speaker 1: the pool. You want this for you, you know. And
[16:03] Speaker 1: they also I have alcohol out there, and I feel
[16:06] Speaker 1: all alcohol is extra correct if I'm not mistaken. Isn't
[16:10] Speaker 1: that correct?
[16:10] Speaker 2: Yeah? Alcohol is extra. So the vast majority of the
[16:14] Speaker 2: cruise lines they have the drink package. You can either
[16:17] Speaker 2: buy it when you buy your cruise spear or you
[16:19] Speaker 2: could buy them the app. All the cruise lines have
[16:21] Speaker 2: an app, so when you book your cruise, you just
[16:23] Speaker 2: download that by boy, and you know, you start familiarizing
[16:27] Speaker 2: yourself with the shed and what it has to offer.
[16:30] Speaker 2: And so yeah, you could buy your drink package in they're.
[16:32] Speaker 1: Also now you know, getting that group. So let's talk
[16:35] Speaker 1: about it. Like I said before I want to break
[16:37] Speaker 1: it was talking about the NCL Aqua twenty twenty five
[16:41] Speaker 1: cruise experience. You said that's a must join experience. Tell
[16:45] Speaker 1: us what that's all.
[16:46] Speaker 2: About, russhean, I can't wait to get an NCL Aqua.
[16:51] Speaker 2: So NCL Norwegian Cruise Line NCL Aqua is their brand
[16:57] Speaker 2: news ship that's coming out here. It's not even number
[17:01] Speaker 2: water it, but how.
[17:04] Speaker 1: Many passengers did it? How many passengers I've been on
[17:07] Speaker 1: the seven hundred, which is small, I've been on a
[17:09] Speaker 1: three thousand passenger cruise ship. How many passages on this? Awkward?
[17:14] Speaker 1: Do you know? Off hand?
[17:16] Speaker 2: So this tis over thirty five hundred people? All? Yeah,
[17:22] Speaker 2: But you know, Rashan, that's nothing. I know. We're talking
[17:26] Speaker 2: about NCL, But they got some cruise ships out there
[17:28] Speaker 2: that can sit up like seven thousand people on that.
[17:31] Speaker 1: And I'm gonna just tell people this. I'm gonna just
[17:33] Speaker 1: tell people because you're gonna answer this too. When you
[17:36] Speaker 1: don't let that thirty five hundred fool you, you will
[17:39] Speaker 1: not be waiting in line for food. They got different
[17:42] Speaker 1: times that you're gonna go eat. You will eat on
[17:45] Speaker 1: different sides of the ship. They got different buffets, they
[17:48] Speaker 1: got different they got everything. And that's they are really
[17:52] Speaker 1: one of the most organized formats. Four meals for entertainment
[17:58] Speaker 1: because you kind of mentioned the entertainment it early because
[18:00] Speaker 1: you said, Reshine, you performed on the cruises, Yes, I did.
[18:03] Speaker 1: I performed on Norwegian Cruise Lines to stand up comedian.
[18:06] Speaker 1: I perform on the Royal Caribbean Cruise lines and stand
[18:09] Speaker 1: up comedian. I will get on the cruise on Sunday,
[18:11] Speaker 1: I perform on Tuesday, and I perform on Thursday. Because
[18:15] Speaker 1: a lot of times, some cruise have what they call
[18:18] Speaker 1: dress up night. They want you addressed in a nice suit.
[18:22] Speaker 1: That's kind of like a formal night with the captain's dinner.
[18:25] Speaker 1: Some cruise lines do that, and some cruise lines they
[18:28] Speaker 1: just want you to be casual the whole time, depending
[18:30] Speaker 1: on the type of cruise that you own. Now, when
[18:32] Speaker 1: you talk about the NCL ARC or twenty twenty five cruise,
[18:36] Speaker 1: which has never been cruised before, how do people get
[18:40] Speaker 1: to share in that experience or gett an opportunity to
[18:42] Speaker 1: be a part of the experience A jelita.
[18:46] Speaker 2: Okay, So if you want to be a part of
[18:48] Speaker 2: that experience, all you got to do is reach out
[18:51] Speaker 2: to me. Am. I allowed to give up my phone
[18:54] Speaker 2: number here, give.
[18:54] Speaker 1: It out, give it that nigga can't reach it, don't.
[18:58] Speaker 2: So four seven eight three three four zero one seven seven.
[19:03] Speaker 2: But before you call me, go ahead and check out
[19:05] Speaker 2: my website of my dream vacation travel dot com. And
[19:11] Speaker 2: one of the best things about this so we've been
[19:15] Speaker 2: doing all of the passport passe since twenty twenty two.
[19:19] Speaker 2: Let me tell you the first time we did one
[19:22] Speaker 2: of these strips, I had a young lady who's never cruise.
[19:26] Speaker 2: That lady was so scared a cruising Rashaan. Two of
[19:30] Speaker 2: us had to hold her hand to walk her onto
[19:33] Speaker 2: the ship.
[19:34] Speaker 1: Wow.
[19:35] Speaker 2: Wow, that's how scared she was. And now every year
[19:39] Speaker 2: she's one of the first one. Sim Buff and I
[19:43] Speaker 2: mean he is one of the first ones.
[19:45] Speaker 1: And let's let's kill out this rumor. They have nightclubs
[19:48] Speaker 1: on cruise ships. They have some cruise ships have gambling
[19:51] Speaker 1: on cruise ships, and so you know, if you're single,
[19:54] Speaker 1: you can mingle, as they say, on these cruise ships.
[19:57] Speaker 1: So don't look at it as a family only experience.
[20:00] Speaker 1: Don't look at it as an old folks experience. It
[20:03] Speaker 1: really is a well rounded experience for everybody.
[20:06] Speaker 2: Don't you think it's for everyone. It's for first time cruisers,
[20:10] Speaker 2: because I promise you once you come the first time,
[20:12] Speaker 2: you're gonna keep coming back. It's for professionals if you're
[20:16] Speaker 2: looking for luxury travel experience or you know, ways to
[20:19] Speaker 2: connect with light minded professionals. It's for groups and families
[20:23] Speaker 2: who want to have fun, without the planning. It's also
[20:27] Speaker 2: for singles. You know, if you're scared of traveling by yourself,
[20:31] Speaker 2: come on out travel travel with us. And a lot
[20:34] Speaker 2: of the crews they know, they know a lot of
[20:37] Speaker 2: single people travel, so they have events set up specifically
[20:42] Speaker 2: for single people and when you check in, when you
[20:45] Speaker 2: check in on your cruise, they'll ask you it should
[20:48] Speaker 2: be annotated on your booking, but they'll also confirm that
[20:51] Speaker 2: you're a single person, and sometimes, depending on the SAILY,
[20:54] Speaker 2: you'll get an invite to a singles only party.
[20:57] Speaker 1: Now here's let's talk about it. Let's go back to
[20:59] Speaker 1: your military exit experience, because as a veteran you help
[21:02] Speaker 1: fellow service members maximize travel benefits. What benefits can veterans
[21:07] Speaker 1: get or travel perks they can get by being in
[21:11] Speaker 1: the military to cruising.
[21:14] Speaker 2: Okay, so you know perks are always great and travel
[21:18] Speaker 2: is great when you get a better price, when you
[21:20] Speaker 2: get a better discount. Right, So if we're talking about that,
[21:24] Speaker 2: you know specifically Norwegian Cruise Line. Norwegian Cruise Line gives
[21:29] Speaker 2: you what extra ten percent to offer you cruise fare
[21:33] Speaker 2: and so that's not the only thing. So if you
[21:37] Speaker 2: are familiar with the different cruise lines. Think Margaritaville. Margaritaville
[21:42] Speaker 2: gives each veteran once a year, you could get a
[21:44] Speaker 2: three night free cruise no cost to you.
[21:47] Speaker 1: Okay, repeat that now, Margaritaville gives what to a veteran.
[21:53] Speaker 2: Margaritaville, each veteran, you can get a three night cruise
[21:57] Speaker 2: at no cost to you. Margaritaville sales out of West
[22:02] Speaker 2: bomb Beach and you can have that access once a year.
[22:08] Speaker 2: That's awesome, it is if you've never heard.
[22:13] Speaker 1: Of that, that's awesome. Thank you for providing us with
[22:15] Speaker 1: that information. Do they can they go through you or
[22:18] Speaker 1: contact you for that information or they go straight to
[22:21] Speaker 1: Margaritaville because I'd never heard of that.
[22:24] Speaker 2: So they have to move directly with the cruise line.
[22:26] Speaker 2: But they could reach out to me and I will
[22:28] Speaker 2: help them with the information. But you know, Rishan, veterans
[22:32] Speaker 2: have a lot of travel benefits. You know, a lot
[22:35] Speaker 2: of time we go out and people say thank you,
[22:36] Speaker 2: thank you, thank you for your service, thank you for this.
[22:39] Speaker 2: But you know, when you want to go on a trip,
[22:41] Speaker 2: you got to bring out the money and thank you
[22:44] Speaker 2: don't pay for those trips. So I make sure veterans
[22:49] Speaker 2: know about the travel benefits that's available to them and
[22:52] Speaker 2: how they can maximize their benefits, and you know, perfect example,
[22:56] Speaker 2: I had a neighbor only recently that told me, Hey,
[22:59] Speaker 2: I want to go to I want to go to Universal,
[23:01] Speaker 2: but I looked on the web door. I looked online
[23:03] Speaker 2: and it was over four thousand dollars. So it's like,
[23:06] Speaker 2: can you hook me up? And I looked and I
[23:10] Speaker 2: sent her a quote and it was for like twenty
[23:12] Speaker 2: two hundred dollars. And then I sent it back to
[23:14] Speaker 2: her and she was like, so, you know, I called
[23:17] Speaker 2: her up. I'm like, hey, did you see it? She
[23:19] Speaker 2: was like, yeah, I saw it, but I want to
[23:21] Speaker 2: stay in the park. I'm like, did you read my email?
[23:25] Speaker 2: She was like, for that price, I can't be staying
[23:27] Speaker 2: in the park. And I'm like, yes, but that price
[23:29] Speaker 2: is staying in the park because I used their military discount.
[23:33] Speaker 1: Wow. Wow, congratulations. And provide that type of information to
[23:38] Speaker 1: our service individuals, because you know, we know they like
[23:43] Speaker 1: in the military and they're not paying you six figures
[23:46] Speaker 1: sometimes to protect this country and these type of benefits
[23:50] Speaker 1: are blessing a blessing, and we should know about that.
[23:52] Speaker 1: So give out your number. One more time. It's long
[23:55] Speaker 1: so they'll know about what you're doing out there in
[23:57] Speaker 1: the cruise industry. And before we wrap up, we want
[24:01] Speaker 1: to talk about some specialty cruises that you may be
[24:03] Speaker 1: working with as well. Give out your number then, okay.
[24:06] Speaker 2: So my number is four seven eight three three four
[24:11] Speaker 2: zero one seven seven cool.
[24:14] Speaker 1: Now, now you know Tom Jonah made it famous. You
[24:17] Speaker 1: know all these cruises.
[24:20] Speaker 2: I love that show Growing Up.
[24:23] Speaker 1: Tom Jonah made it famous. Now there are specialty cruises
[24:26] Speaker 1: going around, jazz cruises, R and B cruises. Are you
[24:29] Speaker 1: involved with any of those type of cruises? Are those
[24:31] Speaker 1: the cruisers? There's just specialties and you have to know
[24:34] Speaker 1: what they're going on at the time, and you just
[24:37] Speaker 1: could book traditional cruises.
[24:41] Speaker 2: So no, but you know what you're talking about, you know,
[24:45] Speaker 2: growing and Sexy guys. If you haven't heard about it,
[24:47] Speaker 2: put it in Google.
[24:48] Speaker 1: Growing.
[24:50] Speaker 2: These are charter ship right, nothing but black people. And
[24:56] Speaker 2: let me tell you this, it's black people and no
[24:58] Speaker 2: drama though on these ships. You know, you know, black
[25:04] Speaker 2: talks ain't happening in the corner. They are center stage.
[25:07] Speaker 2: We got it's full of black people, we got black entertainers.
[25:11] Speaker 2: You know, everything on there is all about black history,
[25:15] Speaker 2: black culture, black power. So yeah, and these cruises, they
[25:20] Speaker 2: normally happen in the summertime. But here's the thing, a
[25:24] Speaker 2: lot of times they're hard to get into because unless
[25:27] Speaker 2: you know somebody, because when, yeah, once you go on
[25:31] Speaker 2: the trip this summer, those same people they rebooked before
[25:34] Speaker 2: they get off the ship.
[25:35] Speaker 1: Right right, I'll tell you something, Angelita, this has been fun.
[25:39] Speaker 1: You know you started out slow. Well, boy, you just
[25:42] Speaker 1: you need another year after the break. And I'm happy
[25:44] Speaker 1: because people need to understand. So I'm gonna bring you
[25:47] Speaker 1: back on the shoulder right now in a couple of
[25:49] Speaker 1: months if your schedule permits, because I want people to
[25:52] Speaker 1: understand that summertime, a lot of black people cruise doing
[25:55] Speaker 1: the summer. We're going to talk about that experience that
[25:57] Speaker 1: that is happening, and then I want to talk about
[25:59] Speaker 1: specially the cruiser is even more. But more importantly, thank
[26:02] Speaker 1: you for coming on my show, money making conversation and
[26:04] Speaker 1: sharing your again. Thank you for your twenty four years
[26:08] Speaker 1: of service to this country. Thank you for telling military
[26:10] Speaker 1: people there are benefits out there that they can take
[26:13] Speaker 1: advantage of. Contact you and you can help them mind.
[26:16] Speaker 1: But more importantly, you have an experience that you want
[26:18] Speaker 1: to share with people of color in the cruise industry,
[26:21] Speaker 1: and you are making it happen. Thank you for coming
[26:23] Speaker 1: on my show.
[26:25] Speaker 2: Thank you for having me.
