[1:06] Speaker 2: Adriana a Yalla. How you doing, Adrianna?
[1:09] Speaker 3: Pretty good? Thank you for having me on.
[1:12] Speaker 2: First of all, lets get a little background. Are you
[1:14] Speaker 2: have you ever been an event planner?
[1:16] Speaker 4: No?
[1:17] Speaker 1: Never, Okay, So that means you walked into a world
[1:20] Speaker 1: you have not experienced.
[1:22] Speaker 2: What are you doing prior to becoming an entrepreneur in
[1:25] Speaker 2: the event planning space?
[1:28] Speaker 3: So I was working for well, I'm still working for
[1:30] Speaker 3: a corporation in financial services.
[1:34] Speaker 2: So you know about numbers, you know about budgets, you
[1:38] Speaker 2: know about the bottom line, and you're doing it, I
[1:41] Speaker 2: believe smartly. You still got your full time job and
[1:44] Speaker 2: you're building another company on the side. And I recommend
[1:47] Speaker 2: that to people all the time. Don't walk away, just
[1:50] Speaker 2: jump out there on faith and you have really properly
[1:53] Speaker 2: ironed out all the details.
[1:55] Speaker 1: Now, how long have you been doing this? Miss A Yalla?
[1:59] Speaker 3: The financial service for ten years?
[2:01] Speaker 1: For ten years? And then when did the idea of balloons?
[2:08] Speaker 2: Was that a skill you always had or is something
[2:11] Speaker 2: you picked up along the way over these last ten years.
[2:14] Speaker 3: It's definitely not a skill I had at all. I
[2:17] Speaker 3: learned it and I became a mother in twenty eighteen.
[2:22] Speaker 3: And then when my son came of age, you know,
[2:24] Speaker 3: like in the one one and a half year old,
[2:26] Speaker 3: I was like, I want to have a kids party.
[2:28] Speaker 3: I want to make something nice but I didn't want
[2:30] Speaker 3: to do the traditional like helium balloons and you set
[2:33] Speaker 3: them on the tables or the chairs or whatnot. I
[2:35] Speaker 3: want to do something different. So I just literally went
[2:38] Speaker 3: on Pinterest to like look up some ideas, and this
[2:41] Speaker 3: whole idea trend with organic baoons without helium was out.
[2:46] Speaker 3: So I was like, let me just try this.
[2:47] Speaker 2: Okay, we'll all on Nana. Now explain you said organic balloons.
[2:53] Speaker 3: Yeah, so the organic balloons basically means that you are
[2:56] Speaker 3: bunching a bunch of balloons filled with high air or
[3:00] Speaker 3: air in general, and then making a design, some type
[3:05] Speaker 3: of design to go on a wall.
[3:07] Speaker 2: Okay, Like I'm just tell you my experience with balloon designs.
[3:10] Speaker 2: You know, be walking through a park, a guy with
[3:12] Speaker 2: a clown come up to you, start twisting things, and
[3:14] Speaker 2: next thing you've got an elephant?
[3:16] Speaker 1: Is that what you're talking about?
[3:17] Speaker 3: No, that's a twister. That's a balloon twister.
[3:22] Speaker 2: Okay, education, one on one, that's a balloon twister.
[3:26] Speaker 1: What are you?
[3:27] Speaker 3: I'm an artist, a balloon decore artist. So when you
[3:31] Speaker 3: think of the core, you're setting a stage or a
[3:34] Speaker 3: central centerpiece or central focal point for a party or
[3:39] Speaker 3: an event.
[3:39] Speaker 2: Okay, let me get this early out the way. You
[3:42] Speaker 2: have a website, right, yes, sir? Okay cool as we
[3:45] Speaker 2: as we're doing this interview, if you're listening, what is
[3:48] Speaker 2: your website?
[3:49] Speaker 3: Ayala balloon Events dot Com.
[3:51] Speaker 2: Okay, go to that spell your name because I'm pretty
[3:54] Speaker 2: sure they don't know how to spell that first name.
[3:56] Speaker 3: Ayala A y A l A balloon with two else
[4:00] Speaker 3: events with a s.
[4:02] Speaker 2: Okay cool Ayala Balloons events dot Com right correct, Okay,
[4:06] Speaker 2: go there and we can continue this conversation because I
[4:09] Speaker 2: want you to see exactly what you're talking about.
[4:11] Speaker 1: Now.
[4:11] Speaker 2: With that being said, be as descriptive as you can
[4:15] Speaker 2: and describing what you do.
[4:17] Speaker 3: So when you contact me and you want a design
[4:22] Speaker 3: your typically my clients already know an idea or have
[4:26] Speaker 3: some type of inspiration, so I basically take that inspiration
[4:30] Speaker 3: that client has and recreate it in my own artistic
[4:34] Speaker 3: way for their party or corporate event. You're bunging a
[4:37] Speaker 3: bunch of balloons and with air and making what we
[4:41] Speaker 3: call a cluster to kind of accentuate your focal point
[4:46] Speaker 3: or centerpiece at your event, or.
[4:49] Speaker 2: If they're getting married, they can have balloons over an
[4:52] Speaker 2: archway that they walk through. Correct, Yes, on did you
[4:55] Speaker 2: realize this was a talent that you can use to
[4:58] Speaker 2: make money off of?
[4:59] Speaker 1: A y'alla.
[5:01] Speaker 3: After a couple of friends and film members asked me
[5:03] Speaker 3: to do it for them. And then I actually have
[5:08] Speaker 3: a friend that she does the same thing for her
[5:11] Speaker 3: friends and families, and our sons were best friends. And
[5:14] Speaker 3: we're seeing that, you know, people actually do this and
[5:17] Speaker 3: get paid for it. People were hiring people to put balloons,
[5:19] Speaker 3: and we were doing this basically for free for our
[5:21] Speaker 3: friends and family as hobbies. And we're like, we can
[5:25] Speaker 3: get paid for this, okay, So we end up taking
[5:28] Speaker 3: a class.
[5:30] Speaker 2: Now it's it's a rare skill set though it's a
[5:32] Speaker 2: real scare. It's a rare skill set and you took
[5:35] Speaker 2: a class. There's a class out there for this.
[5:37] Speaker 3: There's a lot of classes.
[5:38] Speaker 1: Yes, talk to us about the class.
[5:41] Speaker 3: So the class, the class that we took was basically
[5:44] Speaker 3: fundamentals because there's there's different ways to make these organic garlands.
[5:52] Speaker 2: Was speaking to Adriana ayala Is her company inspired by
[5:57] Speaker 2: her children, three children's and high quality balloon the Core
[6:02] Speaker 2: and modern bounce house rentals for weddings, birthdays, in corporate events,
[6:07] Speaker 2: in Georgia. Now I'm talking about balloon the core, but
[6:12] Speaker 2: you also included modern bounce house rentals, so you're coming
[6:16] Speaker 2: in you move beyond just balloons. You're becoming a one
[6:20] Speaker 2: stop shop, correct.
[6:21] Speaker 3: Yes, I am, I am. So the balance houses. When
[6:25] Speaker 3: you think of a balance house, you usually think of
[6:27] Speaker 3: it for kids, but the modern ones it's all white,
[6:30] Speaker 3: so it's very classy. If there's a bridal shower, bachulette
[6:34] Speaker 3: party or photos for a wedding, oh you know, your
[6:39] Speaker 3: your groomsmen or bridesmaids. You jump in there and then
[6:43] Speaker 3: the photographer takes a picture in that jump house, just
[6:45] Speaker 3: having fun.
[6:47] Speaker 2: What were the early stages of getting out out there
[6:50] Speaker 2: and establishing this business.
[6:53] Speaker 3: You got to make sure you get your insurance, that's
[6:55] Speaker 3: for sure. At the end of the day, this is
[6:57] Speaker 3: a business. It's customer service. You have to do what
[7:00] Speaker 3: you can to make the customer happy, and you got
[7:02] Speaker 3: to prepare yourself for any things they unexpected things to happen,
[7:06] Speaker 3: So you want to picture you're ensured for sure.
[7:08] Speaker 2: What were your thoughts when you started a business, where
[7:10] Speaker 2: they any moments of frustration or disappointment that made you
[7:14] Speaker 2: even think of turning back the clock and say I'm
[7:18] Speaker 2: as stick with just making my kids happy whenever they
[7:21] Speaker 2: want to see blows.
[7:23] Speaker 3: Yeah, there's been a moment, a lot of moments, and
[7:25] Speaker 3: it's it's it's fear. It's honestly, fear of not being
[7:30] Speaker 3: great enough for your client. Your clients have expectations of
[7:36] Speaker 3: what they see on a picture and they want you
[7:38] Speaker 3: to mimic it exactly, and that's just not the reality.
[7:41] Speaker 3: The person that made the picture is and they've made
[7:44] Speaker 3: that with their design and artistic abilities, and I'm just
[7:49] Speaker 3: I'm doing my artistic abilities.
[7:51] Speaker 2: So basically, a y'alla, what you were saying is that
[7:54] Speaker 2: people want you to replicate.
[7:56] Speaker 1: Work that's not yours exactly, and.
[8:00] Speaker 2: That can become a stumbling block because you don't know
[8:02] Speaker 2: how they did the job, or it can be because
[8:06] Speaker 2: some people can do things that are complicated and have
[8:08] Speaker 2: the equipment to do it. Because I'm assuming that all
[8:13] Speaker 2: balloons aren't the same sides.
[8:14] Speaker 1: When you start doing these works of.
[8:16] Speaker 3: Arts, they're not exactly. So I'm definitely not in the
[8:19] Speaker 3: business to be replicating anyone else's art. That's their art,
[8:23] Speaker 3: that's their signature technique. I want people to know me
[8:27] Speaker 3: as I la balloon events and the way I do
[8:29] Speaker 3: my technique can create.
[8:30] Speaker 1: A confident person. I'm talking here, you know. Now, let's
[8:34] Speaker 1: talk about getting your brain out there. Now.
[8:36] Speaker 2: What inspired you to focus specifically on gender revealed events.
[8:41] Speaker 3: I mean, I've always grown up wanting kids. I've always
[8:45] Speaker 3: wanted five kids. As we established, I have three right
[8:48] Speaker 3: now we kind of pause on the five. But I
[8:55] Speaker 3: mean just being a mother, like being able to hold
[8:59] Speaker 3: the child world and to become pregnant is a special gift,
[9:04] Speaker 3: and being able to be part of someone's happiness and
[9:07] Speaker 3: bringing joy. To know what the sex is, you know,
[9:11] Speaker 3: fills my heart because I know how it is, how
[9:14] Speaker 3: difficult it can be to become pregnant and then once
[9:17] Speaker 3: you are, you know, to carry for nine months. I
[9:21] Speaker 3: really do believe in creating core memories, and I feel
[9:26] Speaker 3: like what I provide is a core memory for families
[9:29] Speaker 3: that decide to do your gender reveal, and it brings
[9:31] Speaker 3: me happiness, and I know it brings my clients happy.
[9:34] Speaker 2: So what are some of your most popular signature balloons
[9:36] Speaker 2: setups for gender reveals?
[9:38] Speaker 3: So, my most popular is a simple backdrop with it's
[9:43] Speaker 3: like a half moon arch with balloons on the side.
[9:46] Speaker 3: Of it and like a little cluster at the bottom
[9:48] Speaker 3: of it, and we'll say, oh, baby or baby Patel
[9:52] Speaker 3: if that baby in their last name. And then I
[9:56] Speaker 3: have a little prop that was like a little detonator,
[9:59] Speaker 3: so when the fire works go off, you know, they
[10:01] Speaker 3: count down from ten or three, three, two one, and
[10:04] Speaker 3: they push it down and they know the gender of
[10:07] Speaker 3: their child.
[10:09] Speaker 1: Boy. What if I have an idea of what I want?
[10:11] Speaker 1: How does that work? Oh?
[10:13] Speaker 3: I definitely encourage that. I definitely take what we call
[10:17] Speaker 3: inspiration pictures, So do say I want this, but add
[10:21] Speaker 3: a little bit of this, a little bit of that,
[10:23] Speaker 3: so it's not exactly the picture, and I'm like, oh, yes,
[10:25] Speaker 3: I can definitely do that for them. A lot of
[10:27] Speaker 3: people now want to create something unique, which I really
[10:31] Speaker 3: appreciate because I am unique.
[10:34] Speaker 1: Oh good, you haven't. We're not through yet. But does
[10:37] Speaker 1: Ayala balloons? She's very unique.
[10:41] Speaker 2: Don't bring her photos she've seen You've seen in the magazine.
[10:44] Speaker 1: With that being said, because you're talking about are there
[10:47] Speaker 1: safety concerns?
[10:49] Speaker 2: Definitely, because you mentioned insurance earlier, which I recommend everybody
[10:53] Speaker 2: who starts a business should have insurance because if you're
[10:56] Speaker 2: doing work, I'm going to ask you for your certificate
[10:59] Speaker 2: of insurance immediately, and if you don't have it, then
[11:02] Speaker 2: I can't do business with you because you technically are
[11:05] Speaker 2: doing business for yourself and you don't have any concern.
[11:09] Speaker 1: For the safety of who you're doing business with.
[11:12] Speaker 2: With that being with that in mind, you've already mentioned insurance,
[11:15] Speaker 2: so you have that in mind. What about the safety
[11:17] Speaker 2: aspect of it, because you did mention the balloon house.
[11:21] Speaker 3: Yeah, so that is my main point, the balloon balance houses.
[11:26] Speaker 3: Accidents can happen, so you want to make sure that
[11:29] Speaker 3: your clients protected and obviously I want to protect my
[11:32] Speaker 3: business as well, but I have my clients in mind
[11:34] Speaker 3: in that aspect as well. With the gender reveals, you know,
[11:39] Speaker 3: at the end of the day, those fireworks that are
[11:41] Speaker 3: used are actual fireworks, so you have to detonate them.
[11:44] Speaker 3: So you have to ignite it with fire and you
[11:47] Speaker 3: always want to make sure that your clients they're usually
[11:50] Speaker 3: sitting in front of the backdrop with their detonator, so
[11:52] Speaker 3: you have to make sure there's a good range between
[11:54] Speaker 3: the file out zone of the fireworks going off and
[11:56] Speaker 3: that they just make sure that there's not a chance
[12:01] Speaker 3: of it affecting the couple and then their observers that
[12:06] Speaker 3: are seeing the smoke come.
[12:07] Speaker 2: Out a complicated You gotta shield, you got distance and
[12:13] Speaker 2: all that good stuff. So basically what you're telling us
[12:17] Speaker 2: on certain situations with your agenda revealed, especially when you
[12:20] Speaker 2: get into the firework, it has to be an open.
[12:22] Speaker 3: Space, Yes, it does. We got to be clear of trees,
[12:26] Speaker 3: you got to be clear of people. It makes me
[12:30] Speaker 3: stay clear of that.
[12:31] Speaker 1: How do you market yourself? Are y'all? How do you
[12:33] Speaker 1: get the word out about your brain?
[12:35] Speaker 3: I'm mostly on social media on Instagram. I love Instagram,
[12:39] Speaker 3: and I post a lot of videos and stories and
[12:42] Speaker 3: content of the balloon sets that I do do.
[12:46] Speaker 2: Now, what are your reactions on social media? Because first
[12:50] Speaker 2: of all, it can't be free. It can relate to everybody.
[12:53] Speaker 2: You know, I'll consider myself a marketing guru. I would
[12:56] Speaker 2: think that you do balloons, you do artwork, do setups?
[13:01] Speaker 2: How do you What message are you given to your
[13:05] Speaker 2: audience or followers or prospective followers that you want to
[13:09] Speaker 2: talk about your brand? Why would they want to come
[13:13] Speaker 2: to you? I guess is what I'm trying to get
[13:15] Speaker 2: out of this conversation.
[13:17] Speaker 1: When it comes to your posts.
[13:20] Speaker 3: Well, I feel a lot of people would want to
[13:22] Speaker 3: go with me because I have a family and I
[13:26] Speaker 3: know what it's like to be a mother, and me
[13:30] Speaker 3: in particular, I'm very neitpicky and precise, so I want
[13:35] Speaker 3: everything to be perfect.
[13:37] Speaker 2: Well, that been said, pain points and setups, you know,
[13:42] Speaker 2: let's walk through the whole process of you know, you
[13:44] Speaker 2: have a bounce house or a big balloon house, you
[13:48] Speaker 2: have our gender reveal setup or corporate events, because each
[13:53] Speaker 2: one of them has their own pain points. Okay, let's
[13:56] Speaker 2: start with your corporate events. What are some of the
[13:59] Speaker 2: pain points in corporate events?
[14:01] Speaker 3: Time? Just having the time necessary allotted to provide what
[14:04] Speaker 3: they want a lot of times when I'm preparing for
[14:08] Speaker 3: a corporate event, I have to preinflate my balloons in
[14:12] Speaker 3: order to make maybe an hour or two hour crunch
[14:15] Speaker 3: time to be able to set up. So time is
[14:17] Speaker 3: always an issue with corporate events. In and out, in
[14:20] Speaker 3: and out.
[14:22] Speaker 1: Oh good, So what is the paid point for gender reveal?
[14:26] Speaker 1: Which is your specialty?
[14:28] Speaker 3: The pain point for gender reveal is making sure that
[14:32] Speaker 3: gender is correct.
[14:34] Speaker 2: Come on now, come on now laughing because obviously they
[14:38] Speaker 2: have been some mistakes.
[14:41] Speaker 3: No, I'm gonna be honest, the getting the color hasn't
[14:44] Speaker 3: been a mistake, but it's always just like in the
[14:45] Speaker 3: back of my head, like what if I got it wrong?
[14:48] Speaker 3: They did textus like in big black letters, boy or
[14:51] Speaker 3: girl whatever. I'm like, but in my mind, I'm like
[14:53] Speaker 3: having nightmares, like did I get this ready?
[14:55] Speaker 4: I'm right sure, Please don't go any We'll be right
[15:01] Speaker 4: back with more Money Making Conversations Masterclass. Welcome back to
[15:10] Speaker 4: the Money Making Conversations master Class, hosted by Rashaan McDonald.
[15:19] Speaker 2: Know some I believe that I would be kind of
[15:22] Speaker 2: paranoi until that color comes out and then they celebrate
[15:26] Speaker 2: because you know that's a big moment and you don't
[15:29] Speaker 2: want the girl colors will pop up and they got
[15:31] Speaker 2: a board. That's ultimate disaster because there's different emotions that
[15:36] Speaker 2: people are gonna give when they see the colors exactly.
[15:39] Speaker 3: Yeah. Another pain point with that is also I'm very
[15:46] Speaker 3: conscious of what I wear for ginger reveals. I don't
[15:49] Speaker 3: wear blue or peak, very general neutral clothes, white T shirt.
[15:54] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, because they think you have a clue.
[15:56] Speaker 3: Well, they know I have a clue, so they're like,
[15:58] Speaker 3: is she trying to give me a head or yeah,
[16:00] Speaker 3: I make sure.
[16:04] Speaker 2: Well, first of all, it sounds like your business is fun,
[16:06] Speaker 2: but it also sounds like this business can be nerve
[16:09] Speaker 2: racking because you are delivering an experience and you don't
[16:15] Speaker 2: know how they feel about the experience until after the
[16:19] Speaker 2: experience has been produced. Now, with that being said, how
[16:23] Speaker 2: could you deal with that level of tension or stress?
[16:28] Speaker 3: It's adrenalin. So I think that's the reason why I
[16:31] Speaker 3: like it so much. Just okay, are you sure? I mean,
[16:35] Speaker 3: I do make sure with my clients as I'm decorating,
[16:38] Speaker 3: I make sure the position right when I set it
[16:41] Speaker 3: up if it's okay after I finish the balloons. Do
[16:44] Speaker 3: you like this? Are you sure? I get a lot
[16:46] Speaker 3: of confirmation from my clients and then I do. I mean,
[16:50] Speaker 3: for my business, it's really appreciated that I get their
[16:53] Speaker 3: testimonials and reviews, so I do follow up with them.
[16:57] Speaker 3: But to me, it's pretty easy to see to see
[17:01] Speaker 3: without them telling me how content they are, So it's
[17:05] Speaker 3: like an instant gratification. You know. Obviously, if they don't
[17:08] Speaker 3: like it, I would stink, but I would immediately know
[17:13] Speaker 3: if they didn't like it. Oh.
[17:14] Speaker 1: Absolutely.
[17:15] Speaker 2: I'm speaking to Audriana Ayala. She started a business with
[17:19] Speaker 2: three children. She wants five, but she's there three right now,
[17:22] Speaker 2: children in mind. At Ayala Balloon, they specialize in high
[17:26] Speaker 2: quality balloon decor and modern bounce house rentals for weddings, birthdays,
[17:31] Speaker 2: and corporate events in Georgia.
[17:34] Speaker 1: Now, last minute changes.
[17:37] Speaker 3: Last minute changes, I dealt with them. I live for it.
[17:43] Speaker 1: Let's let's let's back up. Let's back up a little
[17:44] Speaker 1: bit on that.
[17:45] Speaker 2: A yalla, okay, Let's go through the process of somebody
[17:49] Speaker 2: contacting you for a balloon event. Only I don't want
[17:52] Speaker 2: to get to the bull to the bouncy balloons, the
[17:55] Speaker 2: balloon houses and stuff like that. They're contacting you, so
[17:58] Speaker 2: you have to have a certain just stipulations along the way.
[18:01] Speaker 1: Right.
[18:02] Speaker 2: Well, you know, they give you the deposit, you buy
[18:05] Speaker 2: the balloons and the delivery. Right in the delivery stage,
[18:10] Speaker 2: they want to last minute change.
[18:12] Speaker 1: How does that work?
[18:15] Speaker 3: Honestly, they would be charged an extra fee for a
[18:18] Speaker 3: change in service. And honestly, it really depends what it is.
[18:21] Speaker 3: If I'm already at the location and asked me for
[18:23] Speaker 3: a change, and maybe I had to leave and go
[18:26] Speaker 3: back out and get something, there's gonna be an extra
[18:28] Speaker 3: charge for it. But I think I do pretty well
[18:31] Speaker 3: with accommodating with changes. They're pretty minor and I usually
[18:34] Speaker 3: have all the material that I need to be able
[18:36] Speaker 3: to accommodate a change like that for my clients. But
[18:40] Speaker 3: there would be an extra fee to accommodate it.
[18:43] Speaker 2: Well, let me ask you this. I don't know how
[18:44] Speaker 2: this works. You know, I didn't do a gender revealed.
[18:48] Speaker 2: My wife told me. I think it was doing an
[18:52] Speaker 2: exam that we were like, we discovered that there was
[18:54] Speaker 2: a boy or girl. That's how was notified. Who contact
[19:00] Speaker 2: you or gender reveals?
[19:02] Speaker 3: Usually the parents. A parent that's like it's their first
[19:06] Speaker 3: to be grandchild, so a mom or some I've been
[19:10] Speaker 3: getting a lot of dad's calling to they want to
[19:12] Speaker 3: surprise their significant other, like let's do this gender reveal.
[19:16] Speaker 3: But they arranged for like the sister or the mom
[19:20] Speaker 3: to inform me of the gender. So they want to say.
[19:25] Speaker 1: They want know.
[19:26] Speaker 2: Now, you say, you're in finance, been there ten years,
[19:30] Speaker 2: How do you price this out? I'm not trying you
[19:34] Speaker 2: give me pecific numbers, but how you know? Like Rich,
[19:37] Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you this. Like when I when I
[19:39] Speaker 2: hire people, I go online, I look at the different
[19:42] Speaker 2: job requirements and things like that, and given sense, I
[19:45] Speaker 2: talk to my HR person, get a salary structure and
[19:48] Speaker 2: all that stuff. I get different descriptions, and I go, Okay,
[19:51] Speaker 2: this is what this job is paying at this level
[19:54] Speaker 2: of experience versus this level experience versus this level experience.
[19:58] Speaker 1: That's how I kind.
[19:59] Speaker 2: Of get They're my information, but I'm also gathering it
[20:02] Speaker 2: from somebody who's as experienced in HR. How does a
[20:06] Speaker 2: person who's going into the business, because your price point matters,
[20:10] Speaker 2: it matters, and your time matters, and you've got a
[20:13] Speaker 2: full time job, okay, and you.
[20:15] Speaker 1: Got three kids, set your price point. Tell us how
[20:19] Speaker 1: you do it.
[20:20] Speaker 3: So I calculate my overhead, So the cost of materials
[20:24] Speaker 3: that I'm using or you know, gap utilities, the band
[20:29] Speaker 3: that I use to transport the the backdrops and balloons,
[20:34] Speaker 3: and the actual cost of the balloons and the machine
[20:38] Speaker 3: that I use to bluey. I have a high grade
[20:41] Speaker 3: machine that helps me, you know, crank them out really quickly.
[20:45] Speaker 3: That overhead plus obviously, like you said, the time that
[20:47] Speaker 3: it takes me to actually create the design, and then
[20:52] Speaker 3: I actually have to hire out a lot of the
[20:55] Speaker 3: times for these hinder reveals because you need that safety
[20:58] Speaker 3: that you need that protection. So I needed a second
[21:01] Speaker 3: person to be that that second eye so if something
[21:04] Speaker 3: were to happen, they could douse it out the TNT
[21:09] Speaker 3: so I price it out with that extra team member.
[21:12] Speaker 3: If it's a really big gender reveal, I hire out
[21:16] Speaker 3: the marquee rentals or big backdrops so I can be
[21:20] Speaker 3: able to facilitate in the time that I'm given to
[21:23] Speaker 3: be able to create the backshop presentation for my clients.
[21:28] Speaker 2: First of all, you're passionate about this. People were listening
[21:31] Speaker 2: to this show. Why should they contact you a Yalla
[21:35] Speaker 2: Events Balloon Events.
[21:38] Speaker 3: Because I'm creating core memories for every event in your life,
[21:42] Speaker 3: and I believe your life journey doesn't go in order.
[21:45] Speaker 3: Sometimes we're having kids before we're married, we're getting we're
[21:48] Speaker 3: having kids before we get our successful career, and I'm
[21:53] Speaker 3: there for every type of those moments, whether it goes
[21:55] Speaker 3: in the way you planned or not. I think that's
[21:59] Speaker 3: the reason why people should reach out to me, because
[22:01] Speaker 3: I understand life doesn't always go into order, and we
[22:04] Speaker 3: want to be able to create these core memories in
[22:06] Speaker 3: our lives to remember.
[22:08] Speaker 2: So one of three years, Okay, what are you going
[22:10] Speaker 2: to be with Ayala balloons.
[22:13] Speaker 3: So I Yalla balloons is actually growing like really fast
[22:17] Speaker 3: and with it being us starting to niche and the
[22:20] Speaker 3: gender reveals. Gender reveals have started in Miami. It's very common.
[22:24] Speaker 3: They're like, you know, like the pus. I don't know
[22:26] Speaker 3: if you know about push gifts when you're pregnant. The
[22:29] Speaker 3: dad's supposed to give a push gift to their wife.
[22:32] Speaker 3: That's not a common thing. George is just now getting
[22:35] Speaker 3: into this idea of gender reveals. Everyone's really excited about it.
[22:39] Speaker 3: One of three years is going to be a common thing.
[22:40] Speaker 3: Everyone's going to want it, and it's just going to
[22:42] Speaker 3: expand in different unique ideas of not just the typical
[22:47] Speaker 3: blue and pink balloons with a simple backtop. It's going
[22:50] Speaker 3: to expand to even greater things. And I'm going to
[22:53] Speaker 3: be at the head of it. I'm sure.
[22:55] Speaker 2: Well, I'd love the fact that I'm just gonna bring
[22:58] Speaker 2: up now, you said your friend, you have a friend
[23:01] Speaker 2: that does this, right, Do you guys do joint events
[23:04] Speaker 2: or y'all just competitors?
[23:06] Speaker 3: Oh no, we're not competitors out at Oh yes, we
[23:09] Speaker 3: will definitely help each other out if I need her
[23:11] Speaker 3: or she needs me. We've done it.
[23:12] Speaker 2: Yeah, Okay, I'm not I'm asking just curiosity. How long
[23:16] Speaker 2: has she been doing it versus you?
[23:18] Speaker 1: Start, we've been doing it the.
[23:19] Speaker 3: Same amount of time because we took the class together.
[23:22] Speaker 1: Okay, okay, And so when you.
[23:25] Speaker 3: Three years, three years, three.
[23:27] Speaker 2: Years, does she have the same ambition you have or
[23:30] Speaker 2: you a little bit more aggressive in what you want
[23:32] Speaker 2: to do? Because I see a passion tied to your enthusiasm.
[23:36] Speaker 3: I believe I'm I'm a little bit more ambitious than
[23:41] Speaker 3: my friend she's. And she's kind of staying in the
[23:44] Speaker 3: lane of you know, the traditional baby showers and birthday party.
[23:48] Speaker 3: The course, she hasn't really nied like gender reveals.
[23:52] Speaker 1: Oh okay, I say what you're saying.
[23:53] Speaker 2: You're saying, okay, Risha, gender reveals, As we asked earlier,
[23:57] Speaker 2: that's your brain.
[23:58] Speaker 1: That's what you're trying to get it.
[24:00] Speaker 2: You're not trying to go over here and do a
[24:02] Speaker 2: birthday party or you can.
[24:05] Speaker 3: I'm not gonna take that away. I can definitely do it.
[24:07] Speaker 3: I will do it. I enjoy doing it. But there's
[24:12] Speaker 3: a place in my heart for the gender help.
[24:14] Speaker 2: Well, I'm gonna just tell you if that's what you doing,
[24:16] Speaker 2: let's do it. You know, like Chick fil A. Chick
[24:19] Speaker 2: fil A, they don't do burgers. They do chicken burgers. Okay,
[24:23] Speaker 2: this is what they do. Now, you know, you see
[24:26] Speaker 2: these other burger places. They trying to do chicken. Okay,
[24:30] Speaker 2: but you don't really think they can do chicken because
[24:32] Speaker 2: I think what they started out doing. My advice to
[24:36] Speaker 2: you is that ride this gender reveal. You become the
[24:39] Speaker 2: queen of gender reveals, you the best at it.
[24:43] Speaker 1: And like I said, I think that a lot.
[24:45] Speaker 2: Of people get nervous when they start, you know, saying, okay,
[24:50] Speaker 2: I might turn down money. No, you've already told me Rashan,
[24:53] Speaker 2: I do not accept people sending me photos and saying
[24:56] Speaker 2: replicate this.
[24:57] Speaker 1: So you already got standards.
[25:00] Speaker 2: I think if you ride your standards and you specifically
[25:04] Speaker 2: say this is what I do, and I do it
[25:06] Speaker 2: better than anybody else, then people will respect that and
[25:10] Speaker 2: come to you because you've already told everybody else who
[25:14] Speaker 2: I don't just go out there and do all this
[25:16] Speaker 2: other stuff and pool parties and all this stuff. I
[25:19] Speaker 2: am the best at gender reveals. What do you want?
[25:22] Speaker 2: Then you price it out accordingly and you win. If anything,
[25:26] Speaker 2: we come away from the interview is that I would
[25:28] Speaker 2: say you are the best at what you do.
[25:31] Speaker 1: That's gender reveals. Come to me. I'll make the best
[25:34] Speaker 1: balloon arrangements.
[25:36] Speaker 2: I'll give you the best experience whatever, whether it's going
[25:39] Speaker 2: to be a surprise or special effects.
[25:42] Speaker 1: That's what a y'alla balloon does for you.
[25:45] Speaker 3: Yep, that's exactly right.
[25:47] Speaker 1: I see, Well, this interview is over. You know what
[25:50] Speaker 1: you're gonna do. Give out your website one more time
[25:54] Speaker 1: before we wrap this up.
[25:55] Speaker 3: Are y'alla balloon events dot com.
[25:57] Speaker 1: Could we spell it are y'alla ya a y a.
[26:01] Speaker 3: L a balloon with two l's events p s.
[26:06] Speaker 2: Thank you, thank you, thank you for coming on the show.
[26:08] Speaker 2: And it's really really you have a amazing personality. And
[26:11] Speaker 2: if I had to give any advice, and that's what
[26:13] Speaker 2: the show is about. It's about mentorship, money making, conversation
[26:16] Speaker 2: about advice. A lot of people come on the show.
[26:19] Speaker 2: Just specialize and make sure that you and everybody understands
[26:23] Speaker 2: gender reveals, which was the very first question that I
[26:26] Speaker 2: had to ask you. You focus specifically on gender revealed events.
[26:30] Speaker 2: That's what you should do and that's and that's what
[26:33] Speaker 2: you need to put out to everybody.
[26:35] Speaker 1: And guess what, they will come okay, and they might
[26:39] Speaker 1: even fly you down to Miami, I hope.
[26:41] Speaker 2: So if they know that's what you do, I know
[26:43] Speaker 2: that I watch TV shows and I go and because
[26:47] Speaker 2: guess what, it costs a little bit more. But if
[26:49] Speaker 2: that's the best of what you do, you can be
[26:51] Speaker 2: flown to Chicago, you can be flown to DC. I
[26:53] Speaker 2: think what you should also say is that you will travel.
[26:57] Speaker 2: I think you should put that as on your on
[26:59] Speaker 2: your website as well, because they know that they have
[27:02] Speaker 2: to pay for certain fees in order for that to happen.
[27:06] Speaker 1: So I.
[27:08] Speaker 2: Really after hearing this interview, I know you used the
[27:12] Speaker 2: word located in Georgia, that's just your headquarters. I believe
[27:16] Speaker 2: that you should be able to travel anywhere in this
[27:18] Speaker 2: country to give a gender reveal experience, and that's how
[27:22] Speaker 2: you should promote yourself.
[27:24] Speaker 3: Yes, I'm going to add that for sure.
[27:26] Speaker 1: Okay. Thank you for coming on Money Making Conversation Masterclass.
[27:29] Speaker 3: Thank you, thank you for having me.
