[0:30] Speaker 1: Now, let's get started.
[0:32] Speaker 2: My guest is a parent enforce in the intersection of science,
[0:37] Speaker 2: scalp health and rejuvenated hair loss. I'm all here to
[0:42] Speaker 2: do it may be a reason I got her own
[0:45] Speaker 2: this show. She's founder of the American Technology Academy which
[0:50] Speaker 2: is ATA and the Texas Hair Restoration and Wellness Center.
[0:54] Speaker 2: She has become a nationally recognized force or expert and
[0:59] Speaker 2: functional matters at regards root hair gain and hair restoration.
[1:05] Speaker 2: She's on the show to talk about that. She has
[1:08] Speaker 2: some products. Who's gonna talk about She's gonna talk about
[1:10] Speaker 2: the process of health. She's gonna talk about the different
[1:14] Speaker 2: but what she does and the dermatologist does. Please work
[1:17] Speaker 2: with the show doctor Leoli, excuse me, Doctor Leola and
[1:21] Speaker 2: a paro show.
[1:24] Speaker 3: I'm well, thank you.
[1:26] Speaker 1: First of all, doctor, thank you for coming on my show.
[1:28] Speaker 3: Than for having me one.
[1:30] Speaker 2: I'm a ball headed man, and we're going to start
[1:33] Speaker 2: that because I think that you have to be honest
[1:35] Speaker 2: about how this I have. My mom had thin in
[1:38] Speaker 2: hair and my father had a full head of hair,
[1:42] Speaker 2: but here he turned great quickly, so I got a
[1:45] Speaker 2: mix of both. I got grand thin hair, okay, and
[1:50] Speaker 2: so you know at the top of my part my head,
[1:53] Speaker 2: that's what my hair got thin, okay. And basically you know,
[1:57] Speaker 2: I just I've been shaving my head. I don't know
[1:59] Speaker 2: if I can grow hair or not, but I've been
[2:00] Speaker 2: shaving my head since probably since two thousand and six, okay,
[2:05] Speaker 2: and not even trying to.
[2:07] Speaker 1: Grow it back. But I do know I have thin half.
[2:10] Speaker 2: So how do you and get into the engaged portion
[2:15] Speaker 2: of a potential person like me who just confessed. I
[2:19] Speaker 2: guess you could say I'm not comfortable with not having
[2:23] Speaker 2: this basically having this issue, but it is an issue
[2:26] Speaker 2: that I can talk to you because you are a
[2:29] Speaker 2: professional and a leader in your field.
[2:31] Speaker 1: Talk to me.
[2:32] Speaker 4: Well, the first question is do you want that look?
[2:34] Speaker 4: Some people like the Kojack look and it looks right
[2:37] Speaker 4: mighty good?
[2:37] Speaker 3: Are you? So did you want that look?
[2:39] Speaker 4: Or you just kind of like settle for that look
[2:41] Speaker 4: because you didn't like the thinning?
[2:43] Speaker 3: That would be the first one.
[2:43] Speaker 4: I'm a settler, okay, So if you're a seller, first
[2:46] Speaker 4: thing I want to tell you don't have to settle,
[2:48] Speaker 4: at least without knowing that you had to settle, right,
[2:51] Speaker 4: because there will always be that question mark did I
[2:54] Speaker 4: take the right course of action? Did I have to settle?
[2:57] Speaker 4: Because once we look at you under a scalp analysis,
[3:00] Speaker 4: see that those follicles are still alive. They may be dormant,
[3:03] Speaker 4: but they may not be dead. And where there's life,
[3:05] Speaker 4: there's hope as it relates to hair follicles.
[3:07] Speaker 2: Okay, So when we go back through this journey, and
[3:10] Speaker 2: I'm a black man, okay, and you know, I see
[3:13] Speaker 2: all this advertised white men. I've been watching television by
[3:18] Speaker 2: you know, hair from men, hair clubs and all that,
[3:21] Speaker 2: and it seems like it's just a proliferation of everybody
[3:24] Speaker 2: talking about they can grow your hair.
[3:25] Speaker 1: But I don't trust nobody. I do not trust anybody
[3:29] Speaker 1: doctor rightfully.
[3:30] Speaker 4: So it's some weird, some real strange stuff going out there.
[3:33] Speaker 3: Show.
[3:33] Speaker 4: It's some real strange stuff going on in the hair
[3:36] Speaker 4: loss where I was just telling like a part of
[3:38] Speaker 4: the other day, I'm like, where are all these people
[3:39] Speaker 4: coming up as proliferating everywhere? And that causes more skepticism.
[3:43] Speaker 4: But the irony of it is, the longer you wait,
[3:46] Speaker 4: the more the hair loss becomes pervasive. And I call
[3:49] Speaker 4: hair loss a bully. Okay, so imagine for a moment
[3:51] Speaker 4: you had a bully in your house. You don't want
[3:53] Speaker 4: to guess what type of bully it is. You might
[3:56] Speaker 4: think it's a neighborhood bully, but it may be something
[3:59] Speaker 4: more serious. You got to meet force with force, because
[4:02] Speaker 4: if you're going in to fight the neighborhood bully with
[4:05] Speaker 4: a butter knife, you might win. But suppose it's not
[4:08] Speaker 4: the neighborhood bully. How do you win that? And that's
[4:10] Speaker 4: the same with hair loss. You're trying to deal with
[4:12] Speaker 4: hair loss with pills, potions, creams, lotions, but it maybe
[4:16] Speaker 4: require something more serious, right, more testing, and so we
[4:19] Speaker 4: can deal with it and then we work our way back.
[4:21] Speaker 4: So one of the things we say is we don't guess,
[4:24] Speaker 4: we test. It's too much guessing.
[4:26] Speaker 2: Now, you send me a book that I went through
[4:28] Speaker 2: and I read, and it was more of a in
[4:31] Speaker 2: some way as a technical book, but it also offered
[4:35] Speaker 2: other reasons why you could be suffered from hair loss.
[4:38] Speaker 2: It's not always birth related or hereditary.
[4:42] Speaker 1: Let's talk about that.
[4:43] Speaker 4: So that is the hair loss detective, and I call
[4:46] Speaker 4: myself that because we saw the mystery of hair loss
[4:48] Speaker 4: one strand at a time, and just like a detective,
[4:50] Speaker 4: the more clues we have, the closer we are to
[4:53] Speaker 4: getting to salve, we get to solve in the case.
[4:56] Speaker 4: So it may not be just your mom or your dad.
[4:58] Speaker 3: And however, if.
[4:59] Speaker 4: Your mom and dad both have it, you have a
[5:01] Speaker 4: higher propensity to have it. Doesn't necessarily mean you're going
[5:05] Speaker 4: to have it. I always tell people this analogy. If
[5:08] Speaker 4: both your parents are probably alcoholics, if I can say
[5:10] Speaker 4: that doesn't mean you'll be one, but you probably have
[5:13] Speaker 4: a higher chance to be one than someone who isn't.
[5:16] Speaker 4: Same with hair loss. But then you know there's a
[5:18] Speaker 4: lot going on post COVID. We're seeing a lot more
[5:22] Speaker 4: parallels post COVID depending on how your body responded to
[5:26] Speaker 4: the vaccines from COVID, So we see a lot more
[5:28] Speaker 4: of that.
[5:30] Speaker 3: It could be your food.
[5:31] Speaker 4: But let me tell you the one that's really hiding
[5:33] Speaker 4: and playing sight stress. When you stress, it literally cuts
[5:38] Speaker 4: off the hair growth cycle because the way your cart
[5:43] Speaker 4: is all your body releases cortisol. Right, It's like the
[5:46] Speaker 4: vollicles are yelling for help, but they can't. So you
[5:48] Speaker 4: gotta people have to learn either through mindfulness, prayer or
[5:53] Speaker 4: something and say, you know what, I gotta let go
[5:55] Speaker 4: and let God or whatever your mantra is. But we're
[5:57] Speaker 4: doing way too much. And if you look back at
[6:00] Speaker 4: our great grandparents, our grandparents, they didn't even have the
[6:03] Speaker 4: same type of hair loss. Even the grandmothers, the women,
[6:06] Speaker 4: they didn't have the same life. So you have to
[6:08] Speaker 4: see how things are changing with time. So we got
[6:11] Speaker 4: to start smelling the roses a little bit more. And
[6:13] Speaker 4: that's not just a that's just not a cliche. Ye.
[6:17] Speaker 2: I'm speaking of doctor Leola Anna for Wolche. You know
[6:20] Speaker 2: she is prior and enforce at the intersection of science, scalp,
[6:24] Speaker 2: health care, and regenitive innovation when it comes to hair
[6:27] Speaker 2: and SCALP. Now, you're the founder of Americanchology Psychology Academy.
[6:33] Speaker 1: What is trichology.
[6:35] Speaker 4: Trichology is the study of hair loss. So actually alopecia
[6:39] Speaker 4: just means hair loss. So trichologists the study of the
[6:43] Speaker 4: science of hair loss. So we diagnose and treat disorders
[6:46] Speaker 4: and diseases of the scalp. We're not medical, we're clinical,
[6:49] Speaker 4: so we deal with a holistic functional medicine part of it.
[6:52] Speaker 4: What's causing the root cause, and we get to the
[6:55] Speaker 4: solution without medications and drugs.
[6:57] Speaker 3: We use nature.
[6:59] Speaker 4: We believe that nature presents everything that you need to
[7:01] Speaker 4: heal your body.
[7:02] Speaker 1: Okay, so give us our background.
[7:04] Speaker 2: What makes you an expert from a medical and a
[7:08] Speaker 2: research standpoint?
[7:09] Speaker 4: What makes me an expert is, first of all, I'm
[7:11] Speaker 4: a PhD. Although my PhD is an organizational leadership, it
[7:16] Speaker 4: still taught me how to do research, so I researched deeply.
[7:19] Speaker 3: I have over fifty.
[7:19] Speaker 4: Products, and being raised by blind today brought some here today.
[7:24] Speaker 4: And I was raised by blind people. So my grandfather
[7:27] Speaker 4: was the co president of the Lighthouse for the Blind,
[7:30] Speaker 4: so he's the manufacturer when I was a little girl,
[7:32] Speaker 4: so I started manufacturing very early. But being raised by
[7:36] Speaker 4: blind people, I learned a very fundamental premise. You can't
[7:40] Speaker 4: rely on your just your eyes. You got to use
[7:42] Speaker 4: your other senses. They didn't have their eyes. So that's
[7:44] Speaker 4: when my products are superior because people can trick you
[7:47] Speaker 4: with your eyes, but they can't trick you with efficacy
[7:51] Speaker 4: or something how it feels. That's why blind people stay
[7:54] Speaker 4: married because they didn't get attracted through their eyes. They
[7:56] Speaker 4: got attracted through other things. So that's the way I
[7:59] Speaker 4: create my pride and when I create my products, like
[8:01] Speaker 4: I have my products and one store in Houston and
[8:05] Speaker 4: me in Texas, and they literally can't keep it on
[8:07] Speaker 4: the shell because it works.
[8:09] Speaker 2: So you have to what product is that you're you're talking.
[8:12] Speaker 2: Let's find out what they can't keep on the shell.
[8:14] Speaker 4: Well, it's a tonic, right, It's called Zuri Zuri vita.
[8:18] Speaker 4: It's a tonic, and I'm creating new ones. I have
[8:20] Speaker 4: liquid hair vitamins I have. They just can't keep it
[8:23] Speaker 4: on the shell because it's sell food and when you
[8:24] Speaker 4: feed the cells, you feel well and your body's always communicating.
[8:28] Speaker 4: That's why when you eat something awful, you feel awful.
[8:31] Speaker 4: But when you eat whole foods, live foods, you feel alive.
[8:34] Speaker 4: So you have a day, a busy day, you have
[8:36] Speaker 4: things to do, eat well, and then you'll keep your
[8:39] Speaker 4: energy because food has vibrations. Did you know that food
[8:42] Speaker 4: scary vibrations? So if you eat something really gunky or junkie,
[8:46] Speaker 4: your energy will just go down and you'll feel kind
[8:48] Speaker 4: of weird and don't know why.
[8:50] Speaker 2: Right, right, and so so you know, I'm just asking questions.
[8:55] Speaker 3: Okay, I love questions.
[8:57] Speaker 1: Why are you now all these all these white folks
[9:00] Speaker 1: out here, all these products are billions of dollars behind it.
[9:05] Speaker 1: Why this little young black lady right here in Texas?
[9:09] Speaker 1: Third world? Why I know third world?
[9:11] Speaker 2: I'm used to born there, fifth forth, went to college
[9:13] Speaker 2: third world Texas Southern University and University Houston is in
[9:17] Speaker 2: third work along.
[9:18] Speaker 1: With Yates High School.
[9:19] Speaker 3: That's my school.
[9:20] Speaker 1: How this young black lady figure all this out?
[9:24] Speaker 4: You know, sometimes being born in the inner city has
[9:26] Speaker 4: some serious advantages because we knew how to if an
[9:30] Speaker 4: outfit didn't work, we knew how to make it work.
[9:33] Speaker 4: So we have some things that's intricate. And I'm saying
[9:36] Speaker 4: this out of love, But one man once told me
[9:38] Speaker 4: that a black American woman has such a unique advantage
[9:42] Speaker 4: of more than a mean out of many people in
[9:44] Speaker 4: the world, just the way that the opportunity is given
[9:47] Speaker 4: to us.
[9:48] Speaker 3: Right, So like we.
[9:50] Speaker 4: Here in Houston when we were in elementary, they were
[9:52] Speaker 4: taking us to the opera in symphony and my husband
[9:54] Speaker 4: didn't know that because there was doing something different than Louisiana.
[9:57] Speaker 3: But I'm saying I'm one of them people.
[9:59] Speaker 4: I see the glass at fool so I can make
[10:02] Speaker 4: even if you come on my clinic and I invite
[10:04] Speaker 4: you there in Houston.
[10:05] Speaker 1: I'm coming. I kid you not because I know I'm
[10:09] Speaker 1: cutting you off, but you invited me. I gotta I
[10:11] Speaker 1: gotta follow.
[10:12] Speaker 2: It up with yes, I'm coming because you know, here's
[10:15] Speaker 2: my whole thing is that I'd like to know. It's
[10:19] Speaker 2: like going to a doctor. To me, I go to it,
[10:21] Speaker 2: I go to a dennist. Why can't I go to
[10:23] Speaker 2: a hair doctor. That's how I look at it. Why
[10:26] Speaker 2: can't I said an appointment to you for you and
[10:28] Speaker 2: go look at my head? Is this issue? Can it
[10:32] Speaker 2: be fixed? Just like you know I've had my I've
[10:35] Speaker 2: had served you on my lung. I had my gallbladder removed,
[10:38] Speaker 2: I had my thire arch but removed. So I'm not
[10:41] Speaker 2: opposed to somebody telling me you do this and make
[10:44] Speaker 2: this part of your life better. And so I'm seeking
[10:48] Speaker 2: information and I'm seeking truth because if you tell Rashan
[10:52] Speaker 2: we can't do anything for you, I'm gonna be happily
[10:54] Speaker 2: living my life. But if you can tell me, Rashan,
[10:58] Speaker 2: we can work with you just what. I'm gonna be
[11:01] Speaker 2: your number one patient.
[11:02] Speaker 3: And we'll show you in real time.
[11:04] Speaker 4: Right, there's no hocus pocus that will show you in
[11:06] Speaker 4: real time when you're coming to the clinic. We have
[11:09] Speaker 4: real diagnostic tools that's gonna check most things. We do
[11:12] Speaker 4: have medical side, so there's always a place for medical
[11:15] Speaker 4: in the world of any type of healing, but we
[11:18] Speaker 4: do mostly hold list of healing. Will be able to
[11:20] Speaker 4: tell if your kid needs a liver or something isn't
[11:23] Speaker 4: functioning the way it should. And we're the third largest
[11:26] Speaker 4: tricology center in the country. I thought in Texas, but
[11:28] Speaker 4: I just found out in the United States.
[11:31] Speaker 2: Okay, Coo, I'm talking to doctor Leola and a fool
[11:33] Speaker 2: old Shay. And when I look at you and you
[11:36] Speaker 2: say Rashan emotionally, you are impacting people at the very core.
[11:44] Speaker 2: Both men and women talk about that.
[11:48] Speaker 3: I killed men back their wives.
[11:50] Speaker 4: I've had women coming in there where their husband literally
[11:52] Speaker 4: didn't know they have hair loss. Because a woman's hair
[11:55] Speaker 4: is truly her glory. It is biblical. He knew the
[11:57] Speaker 4: number of hairs on our head before we were borned
[12:00] Speaker 4: men back there, women, I mean women back their husbands.
[12:03] Speaker 4: It's a level of shame that a company's hair loss
[12:06] Speaker 4: that some people don't have it.
[12:07] Speaker 3: Don't realize. But this is your crown, this is the roof.
[12:10] Speaker 4: I always tell people if your house flood, do you
[12:12] Speaker 4: prefer the floor of the roof? They say the floor,
[12:14] Speaker 4: because if the roof is flooding, everything under its gonna suffer.
[12:18] Speaker 4: So the hair is more significant than people give it
[12:21] Speaker 4: credit for. So when you take care of your hair.
[12:23] Speaker 4: But the good news about hair loss? Did I tell
[12:25] Speaker 4: you it's good news?
[12:26] Speaker 1: Yeah, well, please tell me the good news.
[12:29] Speaker 4: The good news about hair loss. Hair loss is a
[12:30] Speaker 4: whistle blower. It's a tattletale on the bodies. You can't
[12:33] Speaker 4: just have hair loss, even if it's hereditary, and unless
[12:37] Speaker 4: you're like seventy five years old, it could be it's
[12:39] Speaker 4: something in a body that's not connecting. So hair loss
[12:42] Speaker 4: is like, hey, mom, Dad, you're not listening your blood pressure,
[12:46] Speaker 4: your divit's your cholesterol, your liver. Kenny Colon sums off.
[12:49] Speaker 4: But perhaps God made us a little vein that we'll
[12:53] Speaker 4: just pay attention tower hair and then when we look
[12:56] Speaker 4: at that, we'll start testing and find.
[12:59] Speaker 3: Something with the liver.
[13:00] Speaker 2: Yeah, and you said the secret body part that helps
[13:02] Speaker 2: your hair grow long and strong.
[13:05] Speaker 1: This is your other book. Both these books are available.
[13:08] Speaker 3: They're available.
[13:09] Speaker 4: And I'll be sure wrote that forward and there because
[13:11] Speaker 4: you know he had some liver failure, so he was
[13:14] Speaker 4: real happy to write the forward in that book. But yeah,
[13:16] Speaker 4: the liver is untold secret gold. If you don't listen
[13:20] Speaker 4: to anything else, I say, get on a liver supplement.
[13:23] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[13:24] Speaker 2: I wanted to just bring that out. But I know
[13:26] Speaker 2: we're going to focus on hair. Yes, because I always
[13:28] Speaker 2: tell people when you veer into too many topics, do
[13:31] Speaker 2: nobody know what you're what you're good at, what you
[13:33] Speaker 2: good at, what you are an expert?
[13:35] Speaker 1: Is is hair loss recovery? Yes? Okay? Cool? Now you
[13:39] Speaker 1: had they ain't hair? Yes? Talk about that.
[13:42] Speaker 4: So I had a condition called sorry Cary doses And
[13:45] Speaker 4: I said had because I don't claim any disease and
[13:48] Speaker 4: so for I'm a loopers. But you may know when
[13:49] Speaker 4: Bernie mag passed, he.
[13:50] Speaker 1: Passed and best friend one hull.
[13:52] Speaker 4: Yes, and then I think Gina from Martin has sorry
[13:55] Speaker 4: cary dosas. So that requires to be on medications that
[13:57] Speaker 4: will swell you up all kinds of problems. So at
[14:00] Speaker 4: that time, it swowed me up. And at that time
[14:03] Speaker 4: I was married and my husband and his Nigerian voice
[14:06] Speaker 4: said I can't deal with bald women, and that was devastating.
[14:10] Speaker 4: He did and he knows this is my story, and
[14:13] Speaker 4: he said, but that out of that pain, I created
[14:15] Speaker 4: products because I couldn't go.
[14:16] Speaker 5: I was not laughing at I was laughing at your accent. Yeah, no,
[14:20] Speaker 5: he knows. You knows this part of the story. And uh,
[14:25] Speaker 5: it was just devastating because it took me so long
[14:27] Speaker 5: to get my hair. I wasn't born with the open
[14:29] Speaker 5: Winfrey hair that was naturally long. I had to grow
[14:31] Speaker 5: because some women have to nurture their hair. And when
[14:33] Speaker 5: it started shitting, I'm telling you, when your hairs you
[14:36] Speaker 5: start losing and don't know why. That's a deep feeling
[14:39] Speaker 5: in your body like something is way off. So it
[14:41] Speaker 5: was devastating. So that's when I set out to just story.
[14:44] Speaker 5: I was already in nu jaceuticals selling vitamins, so I'm like,
[14:47] Speaker 5: if my vitamins can help people feel better, they could
[14:50] Speaker 5: help hair grow, and they did. So I used to
[14:52] Speaker 5: just give it to people ra Sean, but people don't
[14:54] Speaker 5: follow that structures. So it were like, come in and
[14:56] Speaker 5: let us do it for you. So that's how we grew.
[14:58] Speaker 4: The Trichology Center grew organically from people coming in, We're treating.
[15:03] Speaker 3: Them and you see all the results. People don't. It
[15:05] Speaker 3: looks like they had a transplant, but they didn't.
[15:08] Speaker 2: Stay with us. More Money Making Conversation master Lass coming
[15:11] Speaker 2: up next. Welcome back to Money Making Conversation Masteric class
[15:18] Speaker 2: with me Rashaun McDonald. Right when you said it look
[15:22] Speaker 2: like they have a transplant, because you said that twice,
[15:26] Speaker 2: people can have hair transplants.
[15:29] Speaker 3: They can, but we don't do that. We don't have
[15:31] Speaker 3: to do it because.
[15:32] Speaker 1: I know that.
[15:32] Speaker 2: But what is that a hair transplant?
[15:36] Speaker 4: A hair transplant is when they take hair from your
[15:38] Speaker 4: donut area in the back and put it up here.
[15:41] Speaker 4: Because these are two that if you notice, most men
[15:43] Speaker 4: who lose their hair, it's called the call de sect.
[15:46] Speaker 4: Like George Jefferson, the perimeter being but the top will
[15:49] Speaker 4: be missing because that's two different parts of where the
[15:53] Speaker 4: harmoney causes hair loss are tacks. That's why men with
[15:55] Speaker 4: very harry chess will also are more prone to bonders
[15:59] Speaker 4: because DA is the hormone that causes hair loss and
[16:02] Speaker 4: attacks this area most. So what you have to do
[16:05] Speaker 4: is create an environment where they doesn't want to live.
[16:08] Speaker 4: So you can change the environment up your scalp, which
[16:10] Speaker 4: is what we do with this machineuize is in it
[16:13] Speaker 4: and recalibrate the scalp where the DHT doesn't want to
[16:16] Speaker 4: bully you because he doesn't want to live there.
[16:18] Speaker 1: Okay, cool.
[16:18] Speaker 2: Now just used to me as an example, and the
[16:21] Speaker 2: example meaning that if you can this is going to
[16:24] Speaker 2: be playing back an audio. It's going to be on TV.
[16:26] Speaker 2: But from an audio perspective. With Sean McDonald, you don't
[16:30] Speaker 2: know me. I'm coming in. How does the process work?
[16:33] Speaker 3: We don't guess. We test.
[16:35] Speaker 4: I mean, with my experience offer ninety percent of the
[16:38] Speaker 4: time I can tell.
[16:39] Speaker 3: But that wouldn't do.
[16:40] Speaker 4: You a service, right, So we have diagnostic tools. We'll
[16:43] Speaker 4: look at you under microscope and magnify your scale by
[16:45] Speaker 4: one thousand percent, and we'll look at those focalus, we'll
[16:48] Speaker 4: see if there's any clogging around it, any kind of
[16:51] Speaker 4: inflammation or anything like that. And then sometimes we'll do
[16:54] Speaker 4: what we call a sailor test to see if you
[16:56] Speaker 4: have inflammation in your cells and so not. Based on that,
[17:00] Speaker 4: then we present your treatment plan and we only take
[17:03] Speaker 4: cases we feel like we can solve.
[17:05] Speaker 3: So that's why we have I'm the hair loll.
[17:07] Speaker 1: So you're telling me you would kick out the office
[17:10] Speaker 1: of Reshad. We can't do nothing for you.
[17:12] Speaker 3: We'll tell you the truth.
[17:13] Speaker 4: We can say, well, we're going to get most of
[17:14] Speaker 4: your perimeter back, which I have for a photo to
[17:16] Speaker 4: show you that we actually bought up one guy's ninety
[17:19] Speaker 4: percent of his hair back and he then involved like
[17:21] Speaker 4: twelve years, so he doesn't he didn't need nothing.
[17:23] Speaker 1: When you say perimeter, it feels like George Jefferson.
[17:27] Speaker 3: Yeah, the George Jefferson, the colder sac a kids.
[17:29] Speaker 1: So why would I want to look like George Jones?
[17:32] Speaker 4: Oh no, No, he came in that way, but he
[17:33] Speaker 4: didn't leave looking that way.
[17:35] Speaker 1: Okay, Okay, he came in.
[17:36] Speaker 3: No they don't. The most men are going to already
[17:38] Speaker 3: have the parameter hair.
[17:39] Speaker 4: But as long as the follicles are alive endorment, we
[17:42] Speaker 4: can revitalize those follicles.
[17:44] Speaker 3: As long as they're an idea. But the longer you
[17:46] Speaker 3: take they may.
[17:47] Speaker 2: Now let's talk about this machine. You've said several times
[17:50] Speaker 2: during this interview. What is this machine?
[17:52] Speaker 3: It's something totally phenomenal. Now, speaking of a.
[17:55] Speaker 1: Little I'm sure that's been patented.
[17:57] Speaker 4: Yes, it's pat and penny, But speaking of a little
[17:59] Speaker 4: girl from third Award, this machine had to be a
[18:02] Speaker 4: gift from God. Because in my clinic, we're also a
[18:04] Speaker 4: testing center. So I found a lot of things that
[18:07] Speaker 4: were missing. I'm like, it's some odd stuff here and
[18:10] Speaker 4: some things that were missing. So through trial and tribulation,
[18:13] Speaker 4: my husband was also a decent mechanical engineer. He just
[18:17] Speaker 4: dissects everything and we look open up machines and so
[18:20] Speaker 4: he helped me develop this machine. And I will tell
[18:23] Speaker 4: you that that machine can literally tearn any hair salon
[18:26] Speaker 4: until a hair restoration center. Oh okay, it's got literally
[18:29] Speaker 4: ten I would say gadgets on it.
[18:32] Speaker 3: But it can do everything. Look at your scalp.
[18:35] Speaker 4: It can penetrate deep to the bulb, the stomach of
[18:38] Speaker 4: the hair follic and get the food there.
[18:40] Speaker 3: It can remove the breed. It's truly. It can extrapolate
[18:43] Speaker 3: pimples out of this gap.
[18:44] Speaker 4: It's something. It's called a recessile station. Resuscitate a person,
[18:50] Speaker 4: recessle state.
[18:53] Speaker 3: I did. It's a station. The station, the station. We
[18:56] Speaker 3: weren't sitting up the parking lot.
[18:58] Speaker 4: One day I told my husband, said, honey, it is
[19:00] Speaker 4: to call the station, because you.
[19:02] Speaker 1: Know what I was reading.
[19:03] Speaker 2: I was doing my homework and I came across that word.
[19:05] Speaker 2: I said, I don't think I can enunciate that word.
[19:10] Speaker 3: It's a station the state. Just think about resuscitating or
[19:12] Speaker 3: heart but it's a station. So we put everything in one.
[19:16] Speaker 4: Yes, for it's two feet around and you just carry
[19:19] Speaker 4: them out.
[19:21] Speaker 1: Got love it.
[19:21] Speaker 2: I'm talking to doctor Leola and Foosha, and you know
[19:28] Speaker 2: she's a hair restoration expert.
[19:30] Speaker 3: I am.
[19:30] Speaker 4: I'm a chief tricologist. That means I teach tricology to.
[19:33] Speaker 1: Us, right.
[19:33] Speaker 2: And so with that being said, when we talk about
[19:37] Speaker 2: being a nice cot, we talked about a lot of
[19:39] Speaker 2: crisis in this country, and you said hair loss is
[19:42] Speaker 2: a national health crisis.
[19:45] Speaker 1: It is talk to us.
[19:46] Speaker 4: Well, you know, here's one really good for you that hairs.
[19:49] Speaker 4: There's a particular hair loss is particularly for black women
[19:52] Speaker 4: that the American UH hair Loss Association wasn't even studying.
[19:56] Speaker 3: They weren't putting any dollars to it.
[19:58] Speaker 4: And the reason I found out because the Black Queen
[20:01] Speaker 4: of Maryland at one point she was totally bad and
[20:05] Speaker 4: she said, doc, you need to look into this. I
[20:07] Speaker 4: looked into. It's called CCC eight scarring alopecia. If black
[20:11] Speaker 4: girls got a perm when they were in elementary school. Right,
[20:14] Speaker 4: most of us have that scarring alopecia, and most doctors,
[20:18] Speaker 4: especially dermatologists, don't know what to do about it. So
[20:22] Speaker 4: I have the whole program laid out.
[20:24] Speaker 2: So let's talk about the sperm spur apologies. Talk about
[20:28] Speaker 2: those perms.
[20:29] Speaker 1: Now. You know my wife refused.
[20:32] Speaker 2: To let my daughter, but she did it one time
[20:35] Speaker 2: and kind of like damage my daughter's hair.
[20:37] Speaker 1: And that was I was like nine years old. She
[20:40] Speaker 1: never did it again.
[20:41] Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, are their articles out there can be a
[20:44] Speaker 2: cause cancer especially in black women and blackm FDA I
[20:50] Speaker 2: think right now is looking at to repeal uh those
[20:53] Speaker 2: chemicals that are involved in perms. Your take on perms
[20:57] Speaker 2: and a black women hair loss, I think.
[21:00] Speaker 4: It's never gonna go away. It's sort of like wigs, right,
[21:02] Speaker 4: They're never gonna go away. But there's a time and
[21:04] Speaker 4: place for everything. It is the frequency, and I think
[21:06] Speaker 4: as it concerns black women, there's never enough research dollars
[21:09] Speaker 4: behind it, So you have to proceed with caution, Like
[21:12] Speaker 4: who told us we have to relax our edges every
[21:14] Speaker 4: six weeks?
[21:15] Speaker 3: Who told us that?
[21:17] Speaker 4: So when you get past that, you gotta be comfortable
[21:20] Speaker 4: with your edges curling up a little bit, because when
[21:23] Speaker 4: this stuff permeates your body, the problems that can associate
[21:27] Speaker 4: with a hormone problems. Sometime we walk around angry and
[21:30] Speaker 4: don't know why. It's those prims, it's those wigs. We're
[21:33] Speaker 4: black women angry and don't know why. Take those wigs off.
[21:36] Speaker 4: You'll be nicer than your husband. I'm telling you, I've
[21:38] Speaker 4: seen it.
[21:39] Speaker 2: No, doctor, Leela. I hear your voice and it changes
[21:46] Speaker 2: a little bit. So that means that I feel you
[21:48] Speaker 2: talk to a lot of people. It frustrates you. It
[21:52] Speaker 2: frustrates you when you know you have the truth and people.
[21:56] Speaker 1: Don't believe you.
[21:58] Speaker 4: Am If that's what I'm hearing, well, a lot of
[22:00] Speaker 4: my patients do believe me. In fact, they love me
[22:03] Speaker 4: because they get results. They get tired of the general
[22:07] Speaker 4: Oh no, they don't. They don't want to because they
[22:09] Speaker 4: are they're addicted to the creamyk stuff, you know, and
[22:12] Speaker 4: it's like, okay, if you.
[22:13] Speaker 3: Want to relax it, do it twice a year, three
[22:15] Speaker 3: times a year, but every six weeks come on.
[22:18] Speaker 4: It's the frequency. So sometimes that's the harm. But have
[22:21] Speaker 4: you ever seen anybody give a relaxer. Every time they
[22:23] Speaker 4: put on a relaxer, they wear gloves. So if you're
[22:26] Speaker 4: if you're putting gloves on your to protect your head,
[22:29] Speaker 4: what are you dosing to protect your scalp? So if
[22:31] Speaker 4: your hand more important than your scalp, because because the
[22:33] Speaker 4: brain protects controls everything, they nobody.
[22:36] Speaker 1: That's that's the sign right there. Yeah, put no glove.
[22:39] Speaker 4: To protect your head, right but they're not putting in
[22:42] Speaker 4: on anything to protect your scalp. That's how dangerous it is,
[22:44] Speaker 4: because that's why that's.
[22:45] Speaker 1: So oh your head for sometimes thirty minutes, Uncle.
[22:51] Speaker 4: Barns sodium hydroxide and now you and when you get thirty,
[22:54] Speaker 4: forty or fifty, you're gonna have hair loss and sometimes
[22:57] Speaker 4: it could be permanent scarring and that's that CCCA. They
[23:00] Speaker 4: call it hotcomb alabisia. Right, we were burned as little
[23:03] Speaker 4: girls and all that if you got to relax in elementary.
[23:06] Speaker 3: But when you know better, you do better.
[23:08] Speaker 2: Right now, we've got some some products here. You know,
[23:11] Speaker 2: we're gonna talk about it. If you're watching on television,
[23:15] Speaker 2: you can see it on YouTube. Now let's talk about
[23:18] Speaker 2: Ditch the Itch, shampoo, mood and restore shampoo. What exactly
[23:23] Speaker 2: is that?
[23:23] Speaker 4: Just what it says, Dish the Itch is a carbon
[23:25] Speaker 4: based shampoo that pulls the toxins out a lot of
[23:28] Speaker 4: times when you're itching excessively. It's just like your follicles
[23:31] Speaker 4: are trapped in so they just trying to get out.
[23:34] Speaker 4: So we have that bigge. So that's what dish the
[23:35] Speaker 4: Itch does. And it has a magic shampoo.
[23:38] Speaker 2: And that's a shampoo and a condition So I've raised
[23:41] Speaker 2: up to Ditch to itch, hydrate and nourish. But you know,
[23:45] Speaker 2: let mention this, brother, I know what to do.
[23:51] Speaker 1: I got fifteen thousand cameras here.
[23:55] Speaker 2: Now when we were talking about we cutting all this, Okay,
[23:59] Speaker 2: dis the Itch. I hear the word shampoo, I hear
[24:02] Speaker 2: the word conditioning. What is the difference.
[24:05] Speaker 4: Oh that's a great question. Oh my god, that's why
[24:07] Speaker 4: you are who you are. Okay, people confuse it. For
[24:11] Speaker 4: a while, everybody on YouTube was talking about coal washing
[24:14] Speaker 4: all that, so they were using condition as a shampoo. No,
[24:18] Speaker 4: it's two different things. Scientifically, shampoo it's meant to cleanse
[24:21] Speaker 4: the scalp. That's why I say use a quarter size.
[24:24] Speaker 4: Shampoo is for the scalps. Conditioners for the hair because
[24:26] Speaker 4: shampoo lifts up the strand and conditioner closes it. Don't
[24:30] Speaker 4: use condition on your scale because it's going to close
[24:33] Speaker 4: the follicles.
[24:34] Speaker 3: We don't want to do that.
[24:34] Speaker 2: Oh okay, okay, cool. And then I'm holding up Awakening complex.
[24:39] Speaker 2: I's advanced follicles.
[24:41] Speaker 4: Follicle so one thing you can bet on my product
[24:43] Speaker 4: since we ship all around the world. The brochure is
[24:46] Speaker 4: on the wave or the labor's going to tell you
[24:48] Speaker 4: if you read the and read that bag, Oh what
[24:50] Speaker 4: is a follicle awakening? If you read it back, it's
[24:52] Speaker 4: awakening the follow coles right. Let to tell you what
[24:55] Speaker 4: it does.
[24:56] Speaker 2: Awakens dominant follicles boost scalp oxygenation. Most roots and hairstrands
[25:04] Speaker 2: nourishes with caligen roseberry and pumpkin seed infusion.
[25:09] Speaker 4: And pumpkin seed is a DHT blocker. So there are
[25:12] Speaker 4: some things like when I that's in nature, you don't
[25:14] Speaker 4: have to use them not to do some things in nature.
[25:17] Speaker 2: Then you have meltdown scalp oxygen phone.
[25:21] Speaker 4: Well, just what it says, melt down, all that build up,
[25:23] Speaker 4: all that gunk melted down.
[25:25] Speaker 3: And if I had a sky, I have a ball head,
[25:27] Speaker 3: So what would I be.
[25:28] Speaker 4: Us You put this on here right now, you'll feel
[25:30] Speaker 4: your follicles dance. If I spray this on your scalp
[25:33] Speaker 4: right now, your follicles were dancing two men and one
[25:36] Speaker 4: and three seconds.
[25:38] Speaker 1: I got bakeup on.
[25:39] Speaker 3: Okay, Well but I can I it's all yours.
[25:43] Speaker 1: Okay. Cool.
[25:44] Speaker 2: So I was just talking about, you know, from a
[25:47] Speaker 2: male perspective, because I'm very sincere when I say this,
[25:51] Speaker 2: I'm going to make an appointment.
[25:53] Speaker 1: Please. Where about uh in the Houston area? You locate
[25:56] Speaker 1: to night in Hollister. How big is your staff? Did
[26:01] Speaker 1: you see you the third largest in the country.
[26:03] Speaker 4: Yeah, but we're very proficient and fish I know that's right.
[26:05] Speaker 4: But we have eight people who work with us. We're
[26:08] Speaker 4: very profit and we work up. We do a lot
[26:10] Speaker 4: of telehealth, So we work people all over the country,
[26:13] Speaker 4: right virtual, We're virtual, and we're very systematized because we're
[26:16] Speaker 4: gonna teach you. I give you official for a day,
[26:19] Speaker 4: I teach you official for life. So I'm gonna teach you.
[26:21] Speaker 4: I'll be like your coach. So we put people on
[26:23] Speaker 4: a six month or why you're playing. Sometimes I have
[26:26] Speaker 4: to alter your diet to something anti inflammatory because inflammation
[26:30] Speaker 4: is a silent killer for the follow.
[26:31] Speaker 1: So with this man, who are let me ask you
[26:34] Speaker 1: this because I want to do it right? Yes, doctor Liola?
[26:38] Speaker 1: Is that? Could you said? Rachelle? You can spread this
[26:41] Speaker 1: on your head right now?
[26:42] Speaker 3: You will?
[26:43] Speaker 1: Should I do that or should I come see you first?
[26:46] Speaker 3: Both?
[26:47] Speaker 4: I mean, but these products are testing and proven right
[26:50] Speaker 4: before something get passed me. I mean you ought to
[26:52] Speaker 4: just see my house. My house has been taken over
[26:54] Speaker 4: by bottles. I mean, I am a mad scientist.
[26:57] Speaker 2: They have this big kid here, the Advanced Follical Rejuvenation
[27:01] Speaker 2: Technology KISS.
[27:03] Speaker 4: So this is a trichopus right, So that one there
[27:07] Speaker 4: uses ions to I call them jumper cable to really
[27:10] Speaker 4: rejuvenate your follow because a.
[27:11] Speaker 3: Lot of time they just resting. It's like, come on,
[27:13] Speaker 3: get out vacation. Let's go.
[27:14] Speaker 4: We got something new, right, so when you use that too,
[27:17] Speaker 4: this one ours is unique because he can go up
[27:19] Speaker 4: to eight levels.
[27:20] Speaker 3: Most of them on the market, no one size fits on.
[27:23] Speaker 4: All these men in here, y'all not the same, right,
[27:26] Speaker 4: so no one size fits on. And that's what makes
[27:28] Speaker 4: us special. You are different, so we can you're not
[27:32] Speaker 4: a monolithic person like a regular dermatologist. They go if
[27:35] Speaker 4: you're a black man, page twenty eight. Regardless, they go
[27:39] Speaker 4: to page twenty eight.
[27:40] Speaker 1: That's just and that's what this kid here is.
[27:42] Speaker 3: This kid is just. This will help you. This you'll
[27:45] Speaker 3: put you.
[27:45] Speaker 4: You put one of these on and then you use this.
[27:47] Speaker 4: You plug it up and you have your own truck
[27:49] Speaker 4: call if you say it. It's like the builder cables.
[27:53] Speaker 1: Now now for a ball headed man too, or gust
[27:56] Speaker 1: for women?
[27:57] Speaker 4: You got especially men, so you you use it like
[28:03] Speaker 4: a coms.
[28:04] Speaker 1: I'm just asking you, I got a ball head? How
[28:06] Speaker 1: am I using it like a Well, we got.
[28:08] Speaker 3: To gadget for you.
[28:09] Speaker 4: One of them is shaped like a spoon, right, So
[28:11] Speaker 4: it's different gadgets shaped different ways depending like in your kist.
[28:15] Speaker 4: You're gonna start with this one. Lack of mushroom. Uhh,
[28:18] Speaker 4: so that went flat. Go just manufactured just for your scalp.
[28:22] Speaker 1: Okay, uh huh okay.
[28:24] Speaker 4: And then this one is the cone for somebody like
[28:26] Speaker 4: him with a longer hair. Yep, a different one. See you,
[28:31] Speaker 4: one side doesn't fit off.
[28:34] Speaker 1: I'm being honest with you. Now, this is actual product
[28:37] Speaker 1: created this So you have to have revenue to create
[28:42] Speaker 1: your dream. How are you able to pull this off?
[28:44] Speaker 4: Well, my husband, so can I tell you he sold
[28:47] Speaker 4: his bigger yacht and bought a smaller one, and so
[28:50] Speaker 4: we use some of that money, right, and then uh,
[28:53] Speaker 4: we work hard. We just sell a lot of stuff

[29:32] Speaker 2: To me, rarely do I have people going to show that.
[29:34] Speaker 2: I asked just many personal questions because you know I
[29:37] Speaker 2: can live with this.
[29:38] Speaker 1: Look. I'm comfortable.
[29:40] Speaker 2: But like I told you earlier, I'm uncomfortable because I
[29:44] Speaker 2: don't want that. I like to live my life with options. Yea,

[30:06] Speaker 4: to come back under my cap. If it don't come back,
[30:08] Speaker 4: it can't come back. So you will never have to
[30:11] Speaker 4: live in another five or ten years wondering if I
[30:13] Speaker 4: would it, should have, could have.

[30:28] Speaker 1: Were born and raised.
[30:29] Speaker 2: In Houston, Texas, but you know, as I look at you,
[30:33] Speaker 2: what made you a dreamer?
[30:35] Speaker 1: What made you?
[30:36] Speaker 2: Because I know where you're from and you know where
[30:38] Speaker 2: I'm from, and I just I always tell people when

[30:44] Speaker 2: to another neighbor I walked outside, I still saw black people.
[30:47] Speaker 2: But I felt the world was bigger for me than

[30:51] Speaker 1: What did you see?
[30:52] Speaker 3: I was born on the fourth of July. I was
[30:54] Speaker 3: born for this.
[30:54] Speaker 4: So I just remember sitting on that porch and a
[30:56] Speaker 4: Qune saying one day I'm gonna get out of here.
[30:58] Speaker 4: But you know what, we were born, but we weren't poor.
[31:00] Speaker 4: We didn't know it because we had everything with our parents.
[31:04] Speaker 4: So we probably was broke, but we were never poor
[31:06] Speaker 4: because we just and I think it's a mindset, but
[31:09] Speaker 4: some things have to do with how you were born.
[31:11] Speaker 4: So I was born on Independence Day. I love America.
[31:14] Speaker 4: I love everything about it. I love the opportunities and
[31:17] Speaker 4: I you know what, I think, entrepreneurs, we could do

[31:33] Speaker 4: because if you want more clothes, give away something. You
[31:35] Speaker 4: got to create a vacuum effair. Give out something so
