[0:38] Speaker 1: let's get this podcast start. My guests is the CEO
[0:41] Speaker 1: and co founder or Path. Path provides tests, preparation tools
[0:45] Speaker 1: for unlimited practice questions, full length exams, and personalized study
[0:50] Speaker 1: plans for professional certification and IT, cybersecurity, and healthcare, and manymore.
[0:56] Speaker 1: And it also supports students preparing for college a misis
[1:00] Speaker 1: exams such as S A T A C T G
[1:03] Speaker 1: E D L S A T and G M A
[1:06] Speaker 1: T and many more. We got a lot to talk
[1:08] Speaker 1: about Please welcome the Money Making Conversation master Class, Christopher Gray.
[1:13] Speaker 2: How you doing, Christopher done good man? Thanks for having me.
[1:16] Speaker 1: First of all, Man, I've done a lot of interviews
[1:19] Speaker 1: with people. They talk about S A T, they talk
[1:21] Speaker 1: about A C T.
[1:23] Speaker 3: Man.
[1:23] Speaker 1: You stepped over to the mountaintop with your your program.
[1:27] Speaker 1: When I hear certification and I T certification, healthcare certification
[1:33] Speaker 1: in the UH in cybersecurity plus G E ed L
[1:36] Speaker 1: S A T G M A T man, that's a
[1:39] Speaker 1: lot going on. How did you in A in A
[1:43] Speaker 1: in a short, short conversation, tell us how did you
[1:46] Speaker 1: envision this particular app right?
[1:49] Speaker 3: So the way the way I kind of see path
[1:52] Speaker 3: is that what we're trying to do is historically they
[1:57] Speaker 3: think like the A C T, S A T, G
[1:58] Speaker 3: matt lside come to you and collect all these exams
[2:03] Speaker 3: like really our make or break kind of make or
[2:05] Speaker 3: break students and the ability to get into the college
[2:06] Speaker 3: they want to, but also scholarships.
[2:08] Speaker 2: But the problem is all with differentiates.
[2:13] Speaker 3: The wealthy students and middle and lower middle class students
[2:16] Speaker 3: from being a due wellness test of preparation.
[2:18] Speaker 2: You can go to capital in and.
[2:19] Speaker 3: Pay two three thousand dollars just to prepare for one
[2:23] Speaker 3: of these tests. Most low income people of color cannot
[2:25] Speaker 3: afford that, so they tend to not do well. Right,
[2:28] Speaker 3: So we thought with AI being at the forefront of
[2:31] Speaker 3: everything right now, we were able to kind of tackle
[2:33] Speaker 3: this problem. Use AI to generate the same quality content
[2:37] Speaker 3: that you would get at any of these other other platforms,
[2:39] Speaker 3: and able to do it for extremely cheap and put
[2:42] Speaker 3: all of the exams on the one roof so you
[2:44] Speaker 3: don't have to go and pay for all these different things. Right,
[2:46] Speaker 3: So our goal is really about education accessible and affordability,
[2:50] Speaker 3: but in reality is the highest impact is that these
[2:54] Speaker 3: tests have been historically been massive, various kids getting into
[2:57] Speaker 3: selective schools or getting scholarships that they want simply because
[3:01] Speaker 3: students can't practice enough and be able to do that.
[3:04] Speaker 3: And then with entry level jobs like comptier certifications, again
[3:07] Speaker 3: same thing, super expensive, and it's a huge barrier for
[3:10] Speaker 3: a lot of people, and that's what we're trying to address.
[3:12] Speaker 1: Well, thank you for explaining that to me, because of
[3:15] Speaker 1: the fact that my show money Making Conversation Massacres is
[3:19] Speaker 1: trying to bring down those barriers with information, and you're
[3:22] Speaker 1: the type of person that I try to connect the
[3:24] Speaker 1: dots with. Now, when you talk about you know, the
[3:28] Speaker 1: traditional online and traditional app base, they usually just do
[3:33] Speaker 1: sat act. How were you able to go beyond that?
[3:39] Speaker 1: Because that's the game change and for me, that's the
[3:42] Speaker 1: reason I have on this show. And let's start with
[3:45] Speaker 1: the certification part of your app, which is the IT,
[3:49] Speaker 1: cyber and healthcare just to name a few.
[3:53] Speaker 3: Yeah, So the reason why we're able to do everything
[3:56] Speaker 3: is so we use generative AI. Right, we don't have
[3:58] Speaker 3: to go in automatic, we don't have to go in
[4:01] Speaker 3: custom create all these different exams.
[4:04] Speaker 2: AI allows us.
[4:05] Speaker 3: To give out we get weird to give our use
[4:07] Speaker 3: unlimited practice exams, unlimited practice, question in depth, step by
[4:11] Speaker 3: self solutions, and we can predict what you're gonna make
[4:13] Speaker 3: for you taking the test, which is the big thing. Right,
[4:15] Speaker 3: So you don't even need to go and take the
[4:17] Speaker 3: acat LSADG MAT or cybersecurity exam if you don't know
[4:21] Speaker 3: if you're going to pass. So it's like come Tia
[4:24] Speaker 3: security plus it's four hundred dollars just to take the exam.
[4:27] Speaker 3: So if you don't pass through your first track, you
[4:29] Speaker 3: gotta pay another four hundred dollars and then that's just
[4:31] Speaker 3: for one of them. They're like fourteen different comptiasserts. Right,
[4:34] Speaker 3: So if you and to do their prep, it's like
[4:36] Speaker 3: five hundred dollars. You look at nine hundred dollars just
[4:38] Speaker 3: to pass the test, right, So if you don't pass
[4:41] Speaker 3: the first time, you have to do it again. And
[4:43] Speaker 3: you know, with cybersecurity jobs being really key. So the
[4:46] Speaker 3: reason why we focus a lot on our professional certification
[4:49] Speaker 3: side on IT and healthcare because those are two of
[4:52] Speaker 3: the most in demand fields that are always gone. So
[4:54] Speaker 3: we do in collect so our ns we do CNA
[4:56] Speaker 3: exams you want.
[4:57] Speaker 2: To be a nurse.
[4:58] Speaker 3: We also have practice so for people that I want
[5:00] Speaker 3: to become teachers, because I don't know, if you know,
[5:02] Speaker 3: only forty four percent of.
[5:04] Speaker 2: Teachers actually passed the practical at first.
[5:06] Speaker 3: Try, and a lot of students of color who become
[5:09] Speaker 3: teachers don't. Actually it takes them three to five times
[5:12] Speaker 3: to pass it. Sometimes they just stop, you know. So
[5:14] Speaker 3: we are literally have the inability to prepare for the
[5:17] Speaker 3: practice exam has caused a teacher shortage in our economy.
[5:21] Speaker 3: Come tia is I mean you can go and get
[5:23] Speaker 3: jobs in the federal workforce or entry level job. Who's
[5:26] Speaker 3: out a degree, you have a come Tia certification. So
[5:28] Speaker 3: when you look at people earning more money, So imagine
[5:31] Speaker 3: someone who doesn't have a degree, just went to high school,
[5:33] Speaker 3: had the GED. All they need to do is, you know,
[5:35] Speaker 3: pass this exam and they can go out making eighty
[5:38] Speaker 3: starting salary eighty one hundred K a year. Right, So
[5:41] Speaker 3: that's what we're trying to do. That's why it is
[5:42] Speaker 3: so important to do that. But because we're able to
[5:44] Speaker 3: use Generator that we are able to be able to
[5:46] Speaker 3: compass all these different exams, be able to help as
[5:49] Speaker 3: many people as possible, give them as much practice as
[5:51] Speaker 3: they need. And the biggest thing that people like about
[5:53] Speaker 3: PATH is that we're letting them know they're going to
[5:55] Speaker 3: pass where they take the test, so they're like, hey,
[5:56] Speaker 3: I'm about to go and take the test, about noing
[5:58] Speaker 3: they're going to pass. So being able to do that,
[6:00] Speaker 3: by default, we save them money. When most people don't
[6:03] Speaker 3: pass come Field their first time, so it's like they're
[6:05] Speaker 3: likely spending almost eight hundred to one thousand dollars, so
[6:08] Speaker 3: we're cutting we're saving all of these people thousands of
[6:11] Speaker 3: dollars and ensuring they pass the exam which which makes
[6:15] Speaker 3: especially low income people of color be able to pass
[6:18] Speaker 3: these exams, being able to get these certifications and get
[6:20] Speaker 3: the jobs they need without having to wait, you know,
[6:23] Speaker 3: to make extra money just to keep taking these exams
[6:26] Speaker 3: over and over and over again, hoping their path.
[6:28] Speaker 1: As you speak, Christopher, I get more and more excited
[6:31] Speaker 1: about what you're talking about. I'm talking to Christopher Gray.
[6:33] Speaker 1: He's the CEO and co founder Path and AI powered
[6:37] Speaker 1: platform transforming away students and professional prefare for critical exams. Now,
[6:43] Speaker 1: let's talk about where can we find path or is
[6:46] Speaker 1: there an app for a path?
[6:49] Speaker 3: So Path you can go to our website yourpath dot
[6:52] Speaker 3: ai again.
[6:54] Speaker 1: So your path. While you while your path.
[6:58] Speaker 3: Yes and yep your path dot or just google path
[7:01] Speaker 3: test prep and will come right up. So go on
[7:04] Speaker 3: Google Google Path test prep will come up. Google Path
[7:07] Speaker 3: AI test Prep will come up right away. And then
[7:10] Speaker 3: you'll you'll be direct to our platform so and so
[7:13] Speaker 3: and just for just for example, like you go to
[7:15] Speaker 3: kaplan to stay for the act and act and you
[7:17] Speaker 3: have to pay for different ones. It's like twelve hundred dollars,
[7:21] Speaker 3: sixty dollars or you can pay ten dollars a month.
[7:24] Speaker 2: So we are say sixty dollars? Did you say sixty dollars?
[7:28] Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly, so yeah, I don't cost then and then
[7:32] Speaker 3: when I look at and through comp to you has
[7:34] Speaker 3: about twelve different certifications to prepare for each of them,
[7:38] Speaker 3: five hundred dollars for each preparation surgery, and then sixty
[7:41] Speaker 3: dollars you get a pre for all of them.
[7:43] Speaker 2: So you're saving literally.
[7:46] Speaker 1: Thousands, let's stay just just put it out there, thousands
[7:49] Speaker 1: of dollars preparing for jobs that can change your lifestyle
[7:53] Speaker 1: and your future. Within that, what's the preparation time? When
[7:57] Speaker 1: you go and walk us through the steps of somebody
[8:00] Speaker 1: who's interested in certification for SAT. But let's go to
[8:04] Speaker 1: I T I T certification, what's the what's the process?
[8:08] Speaker 3: So a lot of people you want to you want
[8:10] Speaker 3: to prepare for the course. So the beauti of a certification,
[8:12] Speaker 3: you get the certification. That's a step that you notice
[8:14] Speaker 3: mas here and that can just get you the job, right,
[8:16] Speaker 3: So that's why it's really really important. So the step
[8:18] Speaker 3: is that you want to prepare for the prepare do
[8:21] Speaker 3: like cybersecurity courses, either you can do it in college community,
[8:24] Speaker 3: you can do it for universities, community to college. You
[8:26] Speaker 3: can stand on your own. That's the beauty of it, right.
[8:28] Speaker 3: A lot of times you don't actually need to go
[8:30] Speaker 3: to college to get certified in these exams, Like it's
[8:33] Speaker 3: like the college courses actually teaching get certified because you
[8:35] Speaker 3: can go and get the degree. But you have a certification,
[8:37] Speaker 3: it doesn't matter, right. So so you so you want
[8:40] Speaker 3: to take a course on cybersecurity. Then you want to
[8:43] Speaker 3: take enough to where you are able to be prepared
[8:45] Speaker 3: to take to come TA exam. You know the different
[8:48] Speaker 3: and you and now they have Microsoft for JEER because
[8:50] Speaker 3: not just come tas Microsoft for Zure AWS at all.
[8:53] Speaker 3: And we have a Zure and AWS and are on
[8:55] Speaker 3: our platform too, we have all of them. So you
[8:58] Speaker 3: want to be able to take the exam. So what
[8:59] Speaker 3: you do is you take the course, then you go
[9:02] Speaker 3: and try to take the certification. The goals that you
[9:04] Speaker 3: pass in your first try, right, you're able to get
[9:06] Speaker 3: the certification. Then when you're then in your job search,
[9:09] Speaker 3: you're able to like just go to any search or
[9:12] Speaker 3: any job that require comes to you and you're able
[9:13] Speaker 3: to pofit.
[9:14] Speaker 2: Those jobs.
[9:14] Speaker 3: Again, you don't even need a degree. So if you're
[9:16] Speaker 3: able to get those certifications. You're able to do that.
[9:19] Speaker 3: And what's happening with it specifically is that AI is
[9:23] Speaker 3: making cyber security and IT jobs go way up, right
[9:26] Speaker 3: because now we need at AI is running around with
[9:28] Speaker 3: AI agents doing this, AI just taking your credit card
[9:31] Speaker 3: like all this impersonating people.
[9:33] Speaker 2: There's going to be more of a need of cybersecurity certification.
[9:36] Speaker 2: So that's the process.
[9:37] Speaker 3: You find a way to educate yourself on cybersecurity, prepare
[9:41] Speaker 3: to take the exam and then get the certification. Paths
[9:43] Speaker 3: in the middle where we're helping you prepare for the
[9:46] Speaker 3: exam so you can get the certification and as many
[9:48] Speaker 3: and ensure that you pass on your first try, saving
[9:51] Speaker 3: you money and just make sure you get the job.
[9:52] Speaker 3: So and we've had a lot of success. We have
[9:54] Speaker 3: thousands and thousands of people use the platform, passing their
[9:57] Speaker 3: exam on the first try. We have people getting preasing
[10:00] Speaker 3: their att score increasing day school, We have schools using
[10:03] Speaker 3: the platform. We have like cybersecurity book comes in the platform,
[10:06] Speaker 3: have universities using the platform.
[10:08] Speaker 2: So and you can you can just go and get
[10:10] Speaker 2: it yourself too.
[10:11] Speaker 3: You don't we don't need to be a part of
[10:12] Speaker 3: an organization to get it, but the idea is that
[10:16] Speaker 3: we solve this problem. And we saw that nobody was
[10:18] Speaker 3: using this problem, using AI to solve this problem. We
[10:21] Speaker 3: saw that everything in the market is like charging students
[10:24] Speaker 3: thousands of dollars. And the reason they do it, they're like,
[10:26] Speaker 3: we know you're going to pay us because we know
[10:28] Speaker 3: that you are associating this purchase with like a higher income. Right,
[10:32] Speaker 3: so we know that if you pay us three thousand,
[10:34] Speaker 3: all if you're going to make you know you're going
[10:35] Speaker 3: to go and we're unlocking one hundred thousand dollar a
[10:38] Speaker 3: year for year or something like that.
[10:39] Speaker 2: Right.
[10:39] Speaker 3: But the thing is, at the same time, of course,
[10:42] Speaker 3: when people of color are not you know, that's the
[10:44] Speaker 3: that's the So the thing about this AI race is
[10:47] Speaker 3: that at the end of the day, AIS trained on something.
[10:50] Speaker 3: And when you have people who think like that, they're thinking, oh,
[10:54] Speaker 3: they're thinking they're brothers. They're thinking of people that look
[10:56] Speaker 3: like them, that come from the same background they come from.
[10:58] Speaker 3: Who can afford to pay three thousands? Right, I take
[11:00] Speaker 3: a personal color we from a little l coime background.
[11:04] Speaker 3: I have another lens where Okay, I see how this
[11:06] Speaker 3: stuff is just as important as you are. But I
[11:08] Speaker 3: know that not only do I want to make this
[11:10] Speaker 3: more affordable, but actually from a financial perspective, it's better
[11:14] Speaker 3: business to make this more affordable because I could take
[11:16] Speaker 3: your market and I get a larger market of people,
[11:18] Speaker 3: So I end up making more money and helping more
[11:20] Speaker 3: people that would not have been able for that's not
[11:23] Speaker 3: able to afford that. And for context, when I was
[11:25] Speaker 3: in high school, I have to go carry these little
[11:28] Speaker 3: big act books around and you got like one or
[11:31] Speaker 3: two practices and then once that you did, there's nothing
[11:34] Speaker 3: else and you have to like go and buy another course.
[11:36] Speaker 3: And then my mom, you know, we can afford twelve
[11:38] Speaker 3: hundred dollars of paid for a prison review and all
[11:40] Speaker 3: that stuff. So that was a big barrier, right, So
[11:42] Speaker 3: now if I have PATH, I could just do as
[11:44] Speaker 3: study as many times I want predict when I run
[11:46] Speaker 3: to take the exam and then be able to do better.
[11:48] Speaker 1: First of all, Chrystopher, you're a good communicator that helps
[11:52] Speaker 1: and to convey this message. But let me give more
[11:55] Speaker 1: detail on this because of the fact that you should
[11:57] Speaker 1: rash on why are you excited about PATH? Because I
[11:59] Speaker 1: do a lot of sat Act interviews and those are
[12:03] Speaker 1: about youth, that's about teenagers and parents trying to encourage
[12:07] Speaker 1: them for a better life, which is fantastic. It never
[12:09] Speaker 1: really talks about adults because adults are moved on where
[12:13] Speaker 1: the PATH program gives you certification opportunities and what I
[12:17] Speaker 1: call adult jobs where they may not want to go
[12:20] Speaker 1: to college. They may have graduated from high school already
[12:23] Speaker 1: and they can go in and get their GA d JED.
[12:25] Speaker 2: If they didn't.
[12:26] Speaker 1: Graduate, they can go in and get it, certification of
[12:29] Speaker 1: cyber certification, healthcare certification. All these things are important. If
[12:34] Speaker 1: you're an adult listening to this now, they still do
[12:37] Speaker 1: the SAT, they still do the ACT.
[12:40] Speaker 2: If you're a.
[12:40] Speaker 1: Parent and you want to get your child involved in
[12:44] Speaker 1: academic training for these test scores, they do that. I
[12:48] Speaker 1: don't want to leave that part of their program out
[12:50] Speaker 1: because that's very important.
[12:52] Speaker 2: Please don't go anywhere.
[12:53] Speaker 1: We'll be right back with more Money Making Conversations masterclass. No.
[12:57] Speaker 1: I need for you to do me a favor right
[12:59] Speaker 1: now to follow our subscribe to Money Making Conversation. It's
[13:03] Speaker 1: free and you can find it on the iHeartRadio app, Spotify,

[13:30] Speaker 1: Class on Facebook, x and Instagram.
[13:32] Speaker 3: If you want to go to grad school, if you
[13:34] Speaker 3: want to Jerry, if you want to go to business school,
[13:37] Speaker 3: if you want to go to med school, we help that.
[13:39] Speaker 2: We cover that too.
[13:40] Speaker 3: And it's exactly as you said, right, like we our
[13:42] Speaker 3: goal is to give the same quality content but reducing
[13:46] Speaker 3: the price to make that morefor the but also helping
[13:48] Speaker 3: people out.
[13:49] Speaker 2: And I do believe that we're moving.
[13:52] Speaker 3: To a more skilled certification based society where like a
[13:55] Speaker 3: certific being able to be certified and something is going
[13:58] Speaker 3: to mean more than a degree because we're seeing that
[14:00] Speaker 3: there are people with for your degree, so they went
[14:02] Speaker 3: to this x ROUM school and then come in and
[14:04] Speaker 3: can't really do anything. So like you know, versus their
[14:07] Speaker 3: people who didn't go to college, who actually spent four
[14:09] Speaker 3: year learning and skill who are being certified as something,
[14:13] Speaker 3: you know, it end up being more valuable.
[14:15] Speaker 1: So let me ask you this question to your scholar,
[14:19] Speaker 1: right scholarly Scholarly right.
[14:20] Speaker 2: Yes, scholar was my company that I used to have.
[14:23] Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, cool, Now that was successful for you, and
[14:26] Speaker 1: it's the same academic So it gave you the basis
[14:29] Speaker 1: for path right. It gave you the foundation and the
[14:33] Speaker 1: credibility to achieve the levels of certification and approved certification
[14:37] Speaker 1: that you are using now on path Am I correct
[14:40] Speaker 1: in saying that, yep, yep, okay cool. Now you're on
[14:44] Speaker 1: shark Tank. Why did you go on Shark Tank?
[14:46] Speaker 3: I went on shark Tank a lot of college students
[14:49] Speaker 3: and I was graduating graduating college my senior year and
[14:53] Speaker 3: I went on shark I mean it was the visibility
[14:55] Speaker 3: I was able to get Damon John and Loregan here
[14:57] Speaker 3: an investors, and I don't know if you know, but
[14:59] Speaker 3: like we have you sorry, the biggest fight in shark
[15:01] Speaker 3: tank history, which ended up going viral.
[15:04] Speaker 2: You know, we just got tom success from that.
[15:06] Speaker 3: But you know, shark Tank at the time, you know,
[15:08] Speaker 3: at that that was the peak when you got like
[15:09] Speaker 3: ten million views. That's like six seven million dollars. But
[15:14] Speaker 3: you're going to hear that, you yeah, so, and most
[15:16] Speaker 3: founders would have to raise capital to spend to get
[15:19] Speaker 3: that so so Shark Tank was just great and put
[15:22] Speaker 3: us on the map. It game like instant GM brand
[15:24] Speaker 3: credibility and.
[15:25] Speaker 1: Your platform sounds fantastic. They feel like they're generating the revenue.
[15:29] Speaker 1: Why would you want to go on a show and
[15:31] Speaker 1: give a part of your your equity for a fee
[15:36] Speaker 1: when it seems like you can you can generate the
[15:39] Speaker 1: revenue yourself.
[15:41] Speaker 3: I think it depends on how fast you want to grow.
[15:44] Speaker 3: I think it depends on scaling, and I think but
[15:46] Speaker 3: I think you're right. But I think and I think
[15:48] Speaker 3: that that's another conversation that's happening in the age of
[15:51] Speaker 3: AI right now. You can build a strong business and
[15:55] Speaker 3: it can be extremely profitable with very with a minimal
[15:58] Speaker 3: head count, very little and very little money because now
[16:02] Speaker 3: a lot of marketing and brand stuff, Like I have
[16:04] Speaker 3: you how many ass I've seen that are like AI
[16:07] Speaker 3: actors that are like and I'm thinking they're real people, right,
[16:09] Speaker 3: you know, there's so much happens so you can spend
[16:11] Speaker 3: so little to start a company. Now you're seeing all
[16:14] Speaker 3: over in the startup community their company making twenty thirty
[16:17] Speaker 3: million dollars with ten people like right, like, So I
[16:20] Speaker 3: think you're right. In a sense that you know, we're
[16:22] Speaker 3: moving into a world where you can build a big business.
[16:25] Speaker 3: It can make a lot of money. You don't need
[16:28] Speaker 3: to do because people don't get the downsides of raising
[16:31] Speaker 3: capital because people get, oh, I raised as much money,
[16:33] Speaker 3: I'm this, I'm not, but they don't know.
[16:35] Speaker 2: Once you get to.
[16:36] Speaker 3: Looted to you, you get aboard you. Then you are
[16:39] Speaker 3: selling dolled out of your equity. But you're selling the
[16:41] Speaker 3: right to determine when you sell your company. So somebody
[16:45] Speaker 3: can say, oh, oh here, you got a one hundred
[16:47] Speaker 3: million dollar offer to someone to buy your company. You
[16:50] Speaker 3: may make sixty million from that. But the VC who
[16:52] Speaker 3: you raised twenty million from say, you know what, I
[16:56] Speaker 3: got a three hundred million dollar fund.
[16:57] Speaker 2: That the return of my fund.
[16:59] Speaker 3: So I'm going to this deal and make you work
[17:01] Speaker 3: another five years, so that BC just you just so
[17:03] Speaker 3: it's like a fautistic bargaining with a devil's contract where
[17:06] Speaker 3: you you got all this person's money right, and they
[17:08] Speaker 3: gave you money. They gave you like a lot of money,
[17:11] Speaker 3: so you got to do it to say, but in exchange,
[17:13] Speaker 3: you're also giving them the right to determine when you
[17:17] Speaker 3: generate well for yourself and that's what you're giving up,
[17:19] Speaker 3: and that's not a good place to be in.
[17:21] Speaker 2: And I will tell you.
[17:21] Speaker 3: I have friends who have had to turn down millions
[17:24] Speaker 3: of dollars simply because their investor said this is not enough.
[17:27] Speaker 3: It would have been life changing for them, but then
[17:29] Speaker 3: that's like, well, this doesn't return my fund. So so
[17:31] Speaker 3: I think you're right. You you if you really need
[17:35] Speaker 3: the exposure and the capital, do it because something you
[17:37] Speaker 3: need it. But just but I think today you just
[17:40] Speaker 3: got to make sure because you're right, you are giving
[17:41] Speaker 3: a lot of your company and people don't get the the.
[17:45] Speaker 2: Detail, the legal details that go into those deals.
[17:47] Speaker 1: The next thing, they don't want to put a board
[17:49] Speaker 1: in place, next thing, you know, they're gonna butt you out.
[17:51] Speaker 1: You be worried about that, man, they vote you out
[17:53] Speaker 1: of your own company.
[17:54] Speaker 2: Okay, exactly, Yeah, I'm happy.
[17:56] Speaker 3: Yet I'm happy you tell people that because that's a
[17:58] Speaker 3: big thing that no one knows.
[17:59] Speaker 2: Like you you a move to out your own company.
[18:01] Speaker 3: So I think that, you know, I encourage people to
[18:03] Speaker 3: learn skills in AI, get certified because these cybersecurity IT
[18:07] Speaker 3: jobs are going to be the the jobs where AI
[18:10] Speaker 3: engineers are going to be you know, are going to
[18:12] Speaker 3: be kind of the kings of this market. But I
[18:14] Speaker 3: think with this to be able to do that, where
[18:17] Speaker 3: we want to come in again is ultimately helping you
[18:20] Speaker 3: get certified, helping you be able to be prepared for
[18:22] Speaker 3: these jobs. And eventually we want to be able to
[18:24] Speaker 3: create our own certificates. We want to be able to
[18:26] Speaker 3: create certificate on path where you can get certified, you know,
[18:29] Speaker 3: on our platform, to be to say you know AI,
[18:31] Speaker 3: say you know cloud computing and all that stuff. I
[18:33] Speaker 3: think it's important for us to be able to do things,
[18:35] Speaker 3: support businesses that are rand by people that look like
[18:39] Speaker 3: you hopefully or just supporting people you know, who are minorities,
[18:43] Speaker 3: and also being able to be more entrepreneurial because again
[18:47] Speaker 3: I have people who literally have had a job their
[18:50] Speaker 3: entire career as friends who are making like two hundred
[18:53] Speaker 3: k plus a year, who have not been able to
[18:55] Speaker 3: find work for six eight months and still looking for
[18:58] Speaker 3: a job because they're telling them that I don't need
[19:01] Speaker 3: to pay you two hundred fifty care year because now
[19:04] Speaker 3: because of the AI tools, I can automate your job
[19:07] Speaker 3: and what you're doing now now that it was what
[19:10] Speaker 3: was taking costing you forty hours, taking you forty hours
[19:13] Speaker 3: a week to do. I got an AI agent that
[19:16] Speaker 3: can do it for five hours in a month, right,
[19:18] Speaker 3: Like I've taken people. Actually, what's happening is the more
[19:21] Speaker 3: experienced people are the people that are getting cut.
[19:23] Speaker 1: Now, what is the future your path? Are you going
[19:25] Speaker 1: to do the same thing with path? Are you going
[19:27] Speaker 1: to just scale it out and then sell it and
[19:29] Speaker 1: that next thing? I see you in Bermuda hanging out
[19:32] Speaker 1: looking good.
[19:34] Speaker 2: I think that you know my goal, right.
[19:35] Speaker 3: I mean, I think every founder builds a business, and
[19:38] Speaker 3: I think you should be focused on that.
[19:39] Speaker 2: Whether you want to go public.
[19:41] Speaker 3: I don't think you start a business with the idea
[19:43] Speaker 3: I'm started to sell it, right. I think every business
[19:46] Speaker 3: has to have an exit. I mean, I mean every
[19:48] Speaker 3: business is the goal to create generational wealth for yourself,
[19:51] Speaker 3: whether you're passing that down to your kids, whether you
[19:54] Speaker 3: are an exit, whether IPO. Because at some point money
[19:57] Speaker 3: will likely have to be raised and you have to
[19:59] Speaker 3: get people return of the investment. And that's something I
[20:01] Speaker 3: tell people. Another thing that you have to understand when
[20:04] Speaker 3: you take money from people, you have to get it back.
[20:06] Speaker 1: And to tell everybody, have we get in touch with
[20:08] Speaker 1: you through your website.
[20:10] Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just you want to use path, your patht
[20:12] Speaker 3: at Ai. If you want to follow me mostly active
[20:16] Speaker 3: on LinkedIn and Instagram.
[20:17] Speaker 1: Motor active, what does that mean there? Christ are multi active?
[20:20] Speaker 2: You know I sound mostly active my LinkedIn.
[20:25] Speaker 3: You just look at Christopher Gray path outcoming and my
[20:28] Speaker 3: ideas at CJ.
[20:30] Speaker 2: Gray nine to one.
[20:32] Speaker 1: You're awesome, brother. And if you if you sit back
[20:35] Speaker 1: and you think about your life, you know, since you
[20:37] Speaker 1: graduate from college, is it's just the direction you saw
[20:41] Speaker 1: yourself going or you were one of these people would go.
[20:45] Speaker 1: I see an opportunity and I build on it because
[20:47] Speaker 1: a lot of people are tied to fear, and fear
[20:51] Speaker 1: creates a lack of change, and you seem like you
[20:54] Speaker 1: have a fearless personality. Talk about your personality as we
[20:58] Speaker 1: close out this show.
[21:00] Speaker 3: I think that for me when I went to college,
[21:02] Speaker 3: it was right the year Wolf of Wall Street came out,
[21:04] Speaker 3: and I want to go to Wall Street. I wanted
[21:06] Speaker 3: I wanted to make a lot of money. I liked finance,
[21:08] Speaker 3: I had an affinity for it. I studied, I did.
[21:11] Speaker 3: I did a lot of virtual like stock market trading
[21:14] Speaker 3: when I was through like the site they gave you
[21:16] Speaker 3: the virtual money and assimly the real market that was summer,
[21:19] Speaker 3: and I was really good at it made a lot
[21:20] Speaker 3: of money.
[21:20] Speaker 2: I love okay, virtual money, but I'm like, okay, this
[21:22] Speaker 2: is something.
[21:23] Speaker 3: And then ironically my first job, ironically I sold my
[21:28] Speaker 3: company to Salame and my first internship in college and
[21:31] Speaker 3: the only time I ever worked for someone before Salame
[21:35] Speaker 3: was actually Fanny Made in twenty ten, and long story short,
[21:40] Speaker 3: I learned that I didn't want to work for some notework,
[21:42] Speaker 3: work for work for a company anymore. I fell out
[21:45] Speaker 3: with my boss and I had I had an exit
[21:47] Speaker 3: interview where I was probably I was younger and I
[21:50] Speaker 3: was more candid then I am fresh out of Birmingham,
[21:54] Speaker 3: but I think I didn't have a plot of Polish
[21:56] Speaker 3: and I was very honest with her about how I
[21:58] Speaker 3: felt about her and throughout. And then I left, and
[22:00] Speaker 3: then yeah, and I didn't work for it, so yeahs so.
[22:07] Speaker 3: And then also I became entrepreneur and that worked out
[22:09] Speaker 3: for me, and I realized in a lot of the
[22:12] Speaker 3: skills and self starter, I like to start things, like
[22:14] Speaker 3: to build things. I don't think that I try to
[22:17] Speaker 3: build things to be rich. I think that wealth is
[22:19] Speaker 3: the byproduct of hard work and building something.
[22:22] Speaker 2: That adds value to the people you serve.
[22:25] Speaker 3: And I think that you know and that and you
[22:27] Speaker 3: should be rewarded for that with wealth. But like, I
[22:29] Speaker 3: don't just go I'll just trying away. That's just getting money, right, like,
[22:32] Speaker 3: because I think that when the people that have that mindset,
[22:34] Speaker 3: I find they always fail. Because if you don't, if
[22:37] Speaker 3: you're not truly building something to add value to others,
[22:40] Speaker 3: you don't, you're likely not or frankly don't deserve to
[22:43] Speaker 3: be able to generate wealth for yourself because those things.
[22:47] Speaker 2: Have to be handled.
