[1:01] Speaker 1: be discussing on the show today. Entitled Unbreakable, a Survivor's Testimony.
[1:08] Speaker 1: Please welcome to Money Making Conversation Masterclass. Teresa Edwards. How
[1:14] Speaker 1: you doing, Teresa?
[1:16] Speaker 2: I'm good, I'm good. How are you doing well?
[1:18] Speaker 1: I'm glad you came with that energy because I said
[1:20] Speaker 1: you was a dynamic presence and a motivational speaker. If
[1:24] Speaker 1: you the king on this call? How you doing there?
[1:28] Speaker 1: I just hung up on you, Teresa. I hung up
[1:31] Speaker 1: on you because I've introduced people like that and it's
[1:36] Speaker 1: been a snore. But you're not that person. Tell me
[1:38] Speaker 1: about your personalt a little bit, Teresa, before we get
[1:40] Speaker 1: involved with the interview.
[1:44] Speaker 2: I had old a mentor said I have one of
[1:46] Speaker 2: those inviting personalities. Use me as a beard to go
[1:50] Speaker 2: because he's one of those that don't like to talk.
[1:52] Speaker 2: But he's like, I can. You know, everybody tend to
[1:55] Speaker 2: talk to me. So I just believe in nobody's a
[1:59] Speaker 2: stranger until you make your stuff a stranger.
[2:02] Speaker 1: Right. That's very true. You know, I never said that
[2:07] Speaker 1: people gravitate to me, not that I try to pursue
[2:12] Speaker 1: that opportunity. I know people start walking in the room,
[2:15] Speaker 1: I feel a room. I've heard that about me. I've
[2:17] Speaker 1: walked in the room and if something's wrong, I pointed out,
[2:20] Speaker 1: I've heard that about me. As far as motivation, I
[2:25] Speaker 1: think that my personality leans to the point that if
[2:28] Speaker 1: I see something about you that I feel you should know,
[2:31] Speaker 1: I will tell you whether you want to hear it
[2:33] Speaker 1: or not. Is that your personality?
[2:35] Speaker 2: The reason I try to because because I've been known
[2:42] Speaker 2: to like, hey, because I'm straightforward, so you know, I
[2:46] Speaker 2: you know, people say that must be that military. It's
[2:48] Speaker 2: like I pretty much been like that. But it depends
[2:52] Speaker 2: because not everybody can handle your truth. So I wait
[2:57] Speaker 2: and see and fill them out, you know, and then
[3:00] Speaker 2: if they're open to feedback, then I give it to them.
[3:02] Speaker 2: Other than that, as just let them be because sometimes
[3:05] Speaker 2: it's comical just to watch people in their own elements.
[3:09] Speaker 1: Because now your name of your business is terror Dome,
[3:14] Speaker 1: Terror Dome Entertainment. Yes, it's terror now, that's terror scared.
[3:22] Speaker 1: I'm fearful of something Terror Dome Entertainment.
[3:25] Speaker 2: Now it's a play on words because we want to
[3:27] Speaker 2: take the fear out of your dreaming. Amazing reality.
[3:32] Speaker 1: I love it. I love it. I love There's a
[3:34] Speaker 1: story behind everything, and that's your story, is that you're
[3:37] Speaker 1: trying to let them know. You come over here, we
[3:39] Speaker 1: get to get fear out of your dream. We'll make
[3:40] Speaker 1: it happen for you.
[3:42] Speaker 2: We'll make it happen for you.
[3:43] Speaker 1: Now, why did you get into entertainment? Because a lot
[3:46] Speaker 1: of people want to know. People always ask me, Teresa,
[3:49] Speaker 1: I want to be an actor. I want to produce television.
[3:52] Speaker 1: I want to be a I want to be the next,
[3:55] Speaker 1: next next, I want to be Whitney Houston. How did
[3:58] Speaker 1: you get in entertainment?
[4:01] Speaker 2: I've always been that kid that just because I'm the
[4:04] Speaker 2: only child for from my mom, and TV was always
[4:08] Speaker 2: my best friend. So I can sit there and watch TV.
[4:11] Speaker 2: You know, you know, I'm seasoned, so I remember some
[4:15] Speaker 2: of them black and white movie.
[4:17] Speaker 1: Oh it was that code word for oh see. I
[4:21] Speaker 1: ain't got no fun telling people that. When I was born,
[4:24] Speaker 1: they were still doing rotary down telephone. I'm just gonna
[4:26] Speaker 1: let you know it took all day to die nine
[4:28] Speaker 1: one one. I'm just telling you right now.
[4:34] Speaker 2: Don't let you don't don't mess up.
[4:37] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, and then you mess up, you gotta start
[4:40] Speaker 1: all over.
[4:40] Speaker 2: Again, start all over again. And I was like, oh
[4:44] Speaker 2: my goodness, but.
[4:46] Speaker 1: You know, but that's that's the part of life. You know,
[4:48] Speaker 1: the experiences, and so as you as your your second
[4:52] Speaker 1: book is talking about Unbreakable or survivor's testimony. And this book,
[4:57] Speaker 1: Ladies and Gentlemen, is a powerful collection no personal stories
[5:01] Speaker 1: and journey from trauma to triumph. And that's important because
[5:07] Speaker 1: we get so caught up in the dark side and
[5:09] Speaker 1: sometimes we can't get to the light. And so why
[5:13] Speaker 1: is it a person and terror dome entertainment? You've been
[5:19] Speaker 1: in the military. How many years were you in the military,
[5:21] Speaker 1: Teresa Edward year twenty one years now? Thank you for
[5:26] Speaker 1: your service. First of all, why did you go in
[5:30] Speaker 1: the military Because you have this outward personality and you're
[5:33] Speaker 1: going into a place where can control your personality. That's
[5:37] Speaker 1: what the military say. They want you to serve this
[5:40] Speaker 1: particular way. Did it for twenty one years? Obviously it
[5:43] Speaker 1: didn't impact your personality, But what did it do to
[5:47] Speaker 1: assist and grow you as a person?
[5:50] Speaker 2: Well? I wasn't always like this, I believe in ornight
[5:53] Speaker 2: and my mom made me go into the military because
[5:56] Speaker 2: she went into the military on the reserve side Air Force. Like,
[6:00] Speaker 2: you got a choice either gonna go to school, you
[6:02] Speaker 2: donna get a regular job, or you're gonna go into
[6:03] Speaker 2: the military. And I was time to school, so and
[6:07] Speaker 2: I was ready to go. So she said air force only,
[6:11] Speaker 2: so I decided going to Air Force. But at that
[6:14] Speaker 2: time I was still processing through my own trauma. It
[6:18] Speaker 2: just it just hooks some years to get here where
[6:21] Speaker 2: I'm on the other side.
[6:22] Speaker 1: When you say processing through your own trauma, talk about that,
[6:25] Speaker 1: because that's what this interview is about, going from trauma
[6:28] Speaker 1: to triumph.
[6:30] Speaker 2: So I am a survivor of child rape, been through sexual,
[6:35] Speaker 2: mental and physical abuse, and you know, so going into
[6:39] Speaker 2: the military that hollered and screaming. That's what my stepfather did.
[6:43] Speaker 2: So that was enoughing And I was like, this ain't
[6:45] Speaker 2: nothing because he used to tell out the house and
[6:47] Speaker 2: I had to go and clean it up. And so
[6:49] Speaker 2: the base of training wasn't nothing to me based on
[6:53] Speaker 2: where I came from. So and I just needed I
[6:57] Speaker 2: was wanting to escape, to able to escape for me
[7:03] Speaker 2: because you you just said some powerful things on my show,
[7:07] Speaker 2: and it's about my show.
[7:08] Speaker 1: I deal with mental health. I deal with motivation. I
[7:12] Speaker 1: deal with people overcoming the odds. I deal with people
[7:15] Speaker 1: looking in the mirror and realizing that one day I
[7:18] Speaker 1: have to tell my truth. At what point in this
[7:21] Speaker 1: conversation that you had with yourself that you told somebody
[7:27] Speaker 1: what had been happening in your life and it directed
[7:29] Speaker 1: you to some support groups that can make you a
[7:32] Speaker 1: better person. I'll make you a whole person. I apologize
[7:36] Speaker 1: for saying better, right.
[7:38] Speaker 2: I would guess it's more of me telling me for
[7:41] Speaker 2: a long time and then having my daughter, because in
[7:46] Speaker 2: the midst of a lot of stuff, my mom passed
[7:48] Speaker 2: when I was with nineteen, so I'm still you know, baby,
[7:52] Speaker 2: you know for is, you know, life itself itself. But
[7:56] Speaker 2: in that time, that was some dark times too, because
[7:59] Speaker 2: then I truly felt that God had forsaken me, and
[8:02] Speaker 2: it's like he just left me out here alone, being
[8:04] Speaker 2: that my mom is not here, and I really did
[8:06] Speaker 2: not want to be here. But when I got pregnant,
[8:10] Speaker 2: it was like that rebirth in me. It's like I
[8:12] Speaker 2: can do what I want for myself, but I have
[8:15] Speaker 2: to be here for her. And I knew it was
[8:16] Speaker 2: a girl for some reason. I knew it was a girl.
[8:19] Speaker 2: But I have to be here to show her that
[8:22] Speaker 2: your life does not have to follow mine. And my
[8:26] Speaker 2: goal was to break those chains of all the stuff
[8:29] Speaker 2: that I endured, and I had to talk to myself.
[8:33] Speaker 2: Now when my mom passed, you know, I did see
[8:36] Speaker 2: a psychiatrist within the most world. You know, they may
[8:38] Speaker 2: be go ste Way, which was good because I needed
[8:40] Speaker 2: to get that out. And then after that, I just
[8:43] Speaker 2: kept talking to myself for the most part, and then
[8:45] Speaker 2: eventually I started opening it up and talking to others
[8:49] Speaker 2: and then that's when the true healing came for me.
[8:54] Speaker 2: Just talking about it and just getting all that pain
[8:58] Speaker 2: out is almost like a relief.
[9:01] Speaker 1: Well, let me ask you this, Teresa, because I've read this,
[9:05] Speaker 1: is that as a young person, when you're traumatized in
[9:10] Speaker 1: these situations that you can't control, you can kind of
[9:13] Speaker 1: like almost make it. You can forget it it's even happening,
[9:19] Speaker 1: and then as you go along, you don't remember it
[9:24] Speaker 1: because your body can your mind can protect you. It
[9:26] Speaker 1: can protect you by creating points of portals and pushing
[9:31] Speaker 1: that memory or that experience over here, and it allows
[9:34] Speaker 1: you to become a survivor. You just in survivor mode.
[9:37] Speaker 1: Survivor mode, survivor mode. Because you said, Rashon, I joined
[9:41] Speaker 1: the military and basically it was like I come from
[9:45] Speaker 1: a traumatized environment, and so these people are screaming at me.
[9:49] Speaker 1: And basically, in some ways, military training is belittling because
[9:55] Speaker 1: they want to make sure they're trying to mold you
[9:57] Speaker 1: and shape you to be a person that represents what
[10:00] Speaker 1: they need you to do. They tell you to run
[10:02] Speaker 1: up the heel even though bullets are coming right at you.
[10:05] Speaker 1: You got to run up the heel. That's what they
[10:07] Speaker 1: mold you to do.
[10:08] Speaker 2: Correct.
[10:09] Speaker 1: How did you get through that trauma as a child
[10:14] Speaker 1: and then started remembering as you were going through therapy,
[10:19] Speaker 1: as you was going opening up to people, Were you angry?
[10:23] Speaker 1: Were you mad? When it really really dawned on you
[10:27] Speaker 1: what you had forgotten that now you remember, I.
[10:32] Speaker 2: Would say, because I would definitely agree with you, because
[10:37] Speaker 2: you blocked certain things out to protect yourself and a
[10:42] Speaker 2: lot of things that my memory is in bits and
[10:45] Speaker 2: pieces to this death. And I guess I wouldn't necessarily angry.
[10:52] Speaker 2: It was more of a sense of me that cannot
[10:56] Speaker 2: let this happen to my child. It was more or that,
[11:01] Speaker 2: And it's like I refuse to let it happen to
[11:02] Speaker 2: my child. So somebody's gonna pay, Somebody gonna go to jail,
[11:06] Speaker 2: and they put their hands or anything, and even looking
[11:09] Speaker 2: at her strange because being a survivor rape, you know
[11:11] Speaker 2: that look. Okay, you know that look, so they're looking
[11:15] Speaker 2: at her. Funny, we having some problems. I had to
[11:19] Speaker 2: I remember having to tell one of my cousins that
[11:23] Speaker 2: that because he, uh, he looked at my I knew,
[11:27] Speaker 2: I knew that look. I knew that look from when
[11:29] Speaker 2: we grew up. And I told her, I said that
[11:32] Speaker 2: one right there, I would go to jail for.
[11:33] Speaker 1: Trying m h. And his reaction was what he got.
[11:41] Speaker 2: He left right.
[11:43] Speaker 1: Because you gave him to try me. Look.
[11:46] Speaker 2: Yes, we're not kids anymore.
[11:50] Speaker 1: So yes, you know, really when we when we talk
[11:54] Speaker 1: about the book because she's on the show Ladies and Gentlemen,
[11:56] Speaker 1: because she has a book called Unbreakable, A Survivors Tested Morning. Now,
[12:01] Speaker 1: in this book, these are honest stories. Some people have
[12:05] Speaker 1: are revealing their names. And you have three stories in
[12:07] Speaker 1: here where you have three anonymous storytellers, and you know
[12:12] Speaker 1: we talked off air that go come on now, Teresa,
[12:15] Speaker 1: why do you have some anonymous storytellers in your book?
[12:19] Speaker 1: And your response to me was this, the story.
[12:23] Speaker 2: Is what's important for them to tell and me to
[12:26] Speaker 2: meet them where they are their name. That's to me.
[12:30] Speaker 2: What was minor are irrelevant. It's the story that is.
[12:35] Speaker 2: That's what people need to hear.
[12:37] Speaker 1: I'm going to share some of my reaction to some
[12:40] Speaker 1: of her stories, especially the one with the snakes. Oh,
[12:45] Speaker 1: I can't girl. When I was reading that section, my
[12:49] Speaker 1: I was just looking around and thank god it was
[12:52] Speaker 1: light in the room, because if I'd read this book
[12:54] Speaker 1: and it had been dark, I wouldn't have finished the section.
[12:58] Speaker 1: All them snakes you talk to boy in that house.
[13:02] Speaker 3: Ugh.
[13:02] Speaker 1: I still am making my skin crawl right now because snakes,
[13:05] Speaker 1: me and snakes don't get along. I don't care. I'll
[13:08] Speaker 1: get look at little good come garden snakes, some little
[13:10] Speaker 1: baby snakes. You know the heck with ratlers and Kolbri's.
[13:14] Speaker 1: I'm talking about any snake come of me. Your bar
[13:18] Speaker 1: is Carl Lewis. I'm Carl Lewis. And if you on
[13:22] Speaker 1: a date with me where you're gonna be dealing with
[13:24] Speaker 1: that snake by Zack because your boy one, your boy.
[13:26] Speaker 3: One, You're please don't go anywhere. We'll be right back
[13:30] Speaker 3: with more money making conversations, masterclass. Welcome back to the
[13:39] Speaker 3: Money Making Conversations. Masterclass hosted by Rashaan McDonald money Making Conversations.
[13:45] Speaker 3: Masterclass continues online at Moneymakingconversations dot com and follow money
[13:50] Speaker 3: Making Conversations Masterclass on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
[13:54] Speaker 1: Talking to Teresa Edwards. She owns a production company called
[13:58] Speaker 1: terror Don Entertainment. But this is about her book, her book,
[14:02] Speaker 1: her Emotional Journey, Unbreakable or Survivor's Testimony, because she's a survivor.
[14:08] Speaker 1: She's a survivor, she's a she's had an experienced traumatic experience.
[14:14] Speaker 1: You know, I get sad when I hear these things
[14:16] Speaker 1: because children are such a blessing. They're such honest, They're
[14:20] Speaker 1: just blank slates. And when people abuse children that honesty,
[14:27] Speaker 1: they can never regain, they can never get it back.
[14:30] Speaker 1: It stays with them and they have to deal with
[14:34] Speaker 1: that drama that you've given them. And they didn't ask
[14:37] Speaker 1: for it. All they wanted was love and you've torn
[14:41] Speaker 1: that away from that child. And when I talk to you, Edwards,
[14:47] Speaker 1: I feel a person who's overcome that You're dealing with
[14:50] Speaker 1: it because it's always going to be there, but you
[14:53] Speaker 1: overcome that and tell my audience how you deal with
[14:56] Speaker 1: them on a daily basis, Like you already said your daughter,
[15:00] Speaker 1: you're very protective of her. You know that look, which
[15:03] Speaker 1: is crazy, the fact that you have to you know
[15:06] Speaker 1: a look and you've identified that look and if you
[15:11] Speaker 1: see it, you know how to react and it's not
[15:14] Speaker 1: a in you. And if it takes violence to make
[15:17] Speaker 1: that direction happen, then it's going to be that way
[15:21] Speaker 1: for you, because you're not going to allow your child
[15:23] Speaker 1: to lose that level of in the sense that you lost.
[15:26] Speaker 1: But this book, how did it influence the message that
[15:30] Speaker 1: you was trying to get out to me as a
[15:32] Speaker 1: reader to have a strong takeaway.
[15:37] Speaker 2: It's come back up a little bit. So because this
[15:41] Speaker 2: book actually was in the making years ago. It actually
[15:45] Speaker 2: started as a show, a TV show, and I shot
[15:49] Speaker 2: the first pilot and just something in me it says,
[15:53] Speaker 2: I'm not ready to move forward with it. It wasn't
[15:57] Speaker 2: until the end of last year where I was sitting
[16:00] Speaker 2: in this workshop and I swear I felt it was
[16:04] Speaker 2: like God talking to me, saying, Okay, it is time,
[16:08] Speaker 2: and not just tell your story. Include others so they
[16:12] Speaker 2: can tell their story, so they get a different perspective.
[16:15] Speaker 2: People can get a different perspective and different things and
[16:19] Speaker 2: different triumphs. You know, to really go and know that
[16:25] Speaker 2: they're not alone, because like I told before, it's like
[16:28] Speaker 2: sometimes when we're in our own little bubble, we feel
[16:31] Speaker 2: like it only happened to me, and that's not true.
[16:34] Speaker 2: And if you know, when you have a community of
[16:36] Speaker 2: folks that has been through, that have been where you've been,
[16:40] Speaker 2: and knowing and just encouraging you to be to stay
[16:43] Speaker 2: and just hold on because there's light at the end
[16:46] Speaker 2: of this tunnel. That is my message. Just hold on.
[16:50] Speaker 2: You have a community, and I promise you there's light
[16:52] Speaker 2: at the end of this tunnel.
[16:54] Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you something. That first story and them snakes.
[17:02] Speaker 1: I'm sorry, miss Edward, did you talk to a man?
[17:06] Speaker 1: I'm not gonna give away the episode, but these people
[17:11] Speaker 1: were living on a den of snakes. Yeah, every time
[17:17] Speaker 1: they walked in the room, a snake was waiting on.
[17:21] Speaker 1: They go in the bathroom, snake waiting on. They opened
[17:25] Speaker 1: a refrigerator, snake waiting on. Hey, your boy paranoid. I
[17:34] Speaker 1: would I saw a snake in her freezer. In the freezer.
[17:38] Speaker 1: He was just posing. He was posing.
[17:43] Speaker 2: But how you're doing it?
[17:46] Speaker 1: But you know, but that's the that's you know, But
[17:48] Speaker 1: that's the life that these young people with, this young
[17:51] Speaker 1: person who told this story was living, and the fact
[17:55] Speaker 1: that that that was the conditions, that's the trauma part
[18:01] Speaker 1: of this person's life that you know, I'm bad enough.
[18:06] Speaker 1: Roaches okay, you know, worried about roaches crawling over your bread,
[18:11] Speaker 1: or roaches, you know, swading a mosquito off your forehead.
[18:15] Speaker 1: The fact that you could wake up and a snake
[18:20] Speaker 1: in the bed with you. Come on, now, miss ed?
[18:22] Speaker 1: What's come on?
[18:23] Speaker 2: Now? Now? Yes, the true story, And that's actually that's
[18:27] Speaker 2: my husband's story. I wasn't too far because I grew
[18:32] Speaker 2: up in Florida. So you you were scared to get
[18:34] Speaker 2: up in the middle of the night because you don't
[18:36] Speaker 2: know what's on that floor. So you're sitting up there
[18:38] Speaker 2: holding it.
[18:40] Speaker 1: Oh yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah yeah. Not now now,
[18:43] Speaker 1: So you ain't telling me to the book?
[18:44] Speaker 2: Now?
[18:45] Speaker 1: That was your husband. Now, Now, how is he today?
[18:49] Speaker 1: Is he a nervous brother? He does he can he
[18:54] Speaker 1: go fishing this little bait warn bother him, you know,
[18:57] Speaker 1: because let me tell you, so the fact that he
[19:01] Speaker 1: is some I'm gonna tell you something. This is the
[19:04] Speaker 1: first that's the first story I know. I started a
[19:06] Speaker 1: little bit, because that's how snakes impact me. I remember
[19:09] Speaker 1: one day I came home to my house in Atlanta, Georgia.
[19:13] Speaker 1: There was a snake curled up at the front door.
[19:21] Speaker 1: I called nine one one, see see whatever. What I'm
[19:26] Speaker 1: not gonna do is like you know, people get to
[19:27] Speaker 1: get a stick and you chased to the way. Nope, nope, nope,
[19:31] Speaker 1: nope nope. I called the police. I called my wife.
[19:34] Speaker 1: I said, I want out everybody. Who do you call
[19:37] Speaker 1: to come get snakes? That's why I said, nine one one,
[19:39] Speaker 1: Who do you call to come get snakes? And then
[19:42] Speaker 1: and then when the snake wrangler came, you know, he goes,
[19:45] Speaker 1: that's not even a big snake. Man, look at it.
[19:47] Speaker 1: You can take it. You get on out of here
[19:49] Speaker 1: with that story. Big enough for me, big enough Sean McDonald,
[19:57] Speaker 1: snake had to go. I didn't know if it was pausing.
[20:00] Speaker 1: You know, they start breaking that down. It not any part, hey, brother,
[20:03] Speaker 1: Get snick out of here. Get snick out of because
[20:09] Speaker 1: those are the type of stories that impact people on
[20:11] Speaker 1: a daily basis and draw me and drew me into
[20:14] Speaker 1: the book. And there's another story I'm gonna share with
[20:17] Speaker 1: you guys, cause I'm not gonna share all the stories.
[20:19] Speaker 1: But it's a story where a lot of women involve
[20:23] Speaker 1: domestic violence. Yes, and this young lady told her story.
[20:29] Speaker 1: She revealed her name in this book. And it's a
[20:32] Speaker 1: story where a lot of women get involved. They get
[20:35] Speaker 1: wood with flowers, they get wooed with he's such a
[20:39] Speaker 1: nice guy, and that person traps him in a situation
[20:43] Speaker 1: where they cannot get out of and next thing you know,
[20:48] Speaker 1: they are sexually assaulted. Y now, but this is not
[20:52] Speaker 1: the end of this story. She came back to him.
[21:02] Speaker 1: That's the part of the story you gotta read in
[21:05] Speaker 1: this book because sometimes people don't understand, well, are you crazy?
[21:10] Speaker 2: You?
[21:11] Speaker 1: Well, did you get a lot of people don't understand
[21:14] Speaker 1: how when people come into your life, how they can
[21:17] Speaker 1: take control of your and they can come in and
[21:20] Speaker 1: they know all your love. Your love like to say,
[21:23] Speaker 1: all your love touch buttons. They'll know what to say,
[21:25] Speaker 1: what to make you happy, what to give you, what
[21:29] Speaker 1: makes you smile, what makes you forgive? They know all
[21:33] Speaker 1: those things. That's why you have pimps and you have
[21:36] Speaker 1: women who work in the streets because they know the
[21:38] Speaker 1: buttons that they get pushed. I'm not saying that that's you.
[21:42] Speaker 1: But know that we all have weaknesses. And so before
[21:46] Speaker 1: I tell somebody all you stupid, all you you crazy,
[21:50] Speaker 1: all you should never let that happen to you looking self,
[21:54] Speaker 1: because it can happen to you. And that's what this
[21:56] Speaker 1: book Unbreakable was all about. The survivors testimony, other shoes.
[22:04] Speaker 1: I'm telling you, it's compelling. It's compelling it and like
[22:09] Speaker 1: you know, it's a little bit different. I'm not talking
[22:10] Speaker 1: about the entrepreneurship. I'm not talking about small business. I'm
[22:13] Speaker 1: not talking about a product. I'm talking about human beings today.
[22:17] Speaker 1: Because if you can't get yourself together emotionally, if you
[22:21] Speaker 1: can't understand having the how importanceness having the right people
[22:24] Speaker 1: in your life, then you will not be successful. Then
[22:27] Speaker 1: you will not achieve the next place in life that
[22:30] Speaker 1: belongs to you. As the number one takeaway from your book, Teresa,
[22:36] Speaker 1: which what is it? So my listeners can hear it.
[22:40] Speaker 2: Regardless of what you go through, as long as you
[22:43] Speaker 2: got breaths, you are unbreakable. Find your community. There are
[22:47] Speaker 2: people there that will help you, that will hold you
[22:50] Speaker 2: until you can walk your walk by yourself. Just hold
[22:54] Speaker 2: on life. I promise you it would be better.
[22:57] Speaker 1: On the other hand, now we said find your community.
[23:00] Speaker 1: Help me with that, because there's so many layers to
[23:03] Speaker 1: that term community.
[23:06] Speaker 2: Like you were saying before, it takes it takes a village,
[23:08] Speaker 2: and you gotta you gotta get rid of those those naysayers.
[23:12] Speaker 2: Are those ones that's just, you know, really kind of
[23:15] Speaker 2: pulling your spirit and get to get around the folks
[23:18] Speaker 2: that's really gonna support you and your journey. That's what
[23:21] Speaker 2: I mean by getting to get finding your community, finding
[23:24] Speaker 2: those ones that support you, because there's a lot of
[23:27] Speaker 2: folks out there that is going to try and tear
[23:28] Speaker 2: you down, tear you apart, and those are the ones
[23:30] Speaker 2: you're gonna have to mute, silent a distance.
[23:34] Speaker 1: Well, my friend, it's been an emotional day for me.
[23:39] Speaker 1: Uh with these interviews I've had to deliver. But more importantly,
[23:43] Speaker 1: the fact that you came on my show is shared
[23:45] Speaker 1: your story, your husband's story with us, and tell them
[23:49] Speaker 1: I commend him many I will and tell him I'm
[23:53] Speaker 1: mad at this story because I'm won't think about snakes
[23:55] Speaker 1: when I go to sleep at night, and I'm not
[23:57] Speaker 1: happy about that. Teresa efforts. Let's you know that, how
[24:01] Speaker 1: can we get adopted? Why can they purchase this book?
[24:03] Speaker 1: How can we purchase a book? As we close out
[24:05] Speaker 1: the interview, thank you.
[24:08] Speaker 2: It is on Amazon because that's self published, so it's
[24:12] Speaker 2: on Amazon and that's where everybody can go get it.
[24:16] Speaker 1: Okay, cool, Thank you for coming on Money Making Conversations
[24:18] Speaker 1: master Class and I appreciate your honesty. And these books

[24:29] Speaker 1: what can make it. The difference is that you can't overcome.
[24:32] Speaker 1: You can't go from trauma to triumph. Girl, I've read
[24:36] Speaker 1: your book, changed my life. We talked soon, Teresa.
