[0:00] Speaker 1: It's on.
[0:01] Speaker 2: Halloween week has begun here with Brooke and Jeffrey. And
[0:05] Speaker 2: we've got a couple that met at a haunted house.
[0:08] Speaker 2: That is your brand new episode today. That's all I'm
[0:09] Speaker 2: going to give you. You're going to love it. I'm
[0:11] Speaker 2: just so excited for this week. It's a big one
[0:13] Speaker 2: for our show. So please make sure if you haven't already,
[0:16] Speaker 2: follow all of our socials at Brooke and Jeffrey.
[0:18] Speaker 1: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube. Be there, because we've got lots
[0:22] Speaker 1: of fun ahead. And comments. Yeah, Riker Witt said, love
[0:27] Speaker 1: the show. Been watching daily for the last couple years.
[0:29] Speaker 3: Oh, cool.
[0:30] Speaker 4: I'm a pest control technician, and you guys help me
[0:32] Speaker 4: get through the day while I'm stuck in attics or
[0:33] Speaker 4: crawl spaces.
[0:35] Speaker 5: Ooh.
[0:36] Speaker 1: I read it. I was like, oh, this is Halloween themed.
[0:37] Speaker 1: It's not. But, you know, it's spooky enough to me
[0:39] Speaker 1: that it kind of is themed. It is spooky. All right. Hey, well,
[0:42] Speaker 1: you know, keep it spider free today, my man. Yeah.
[0:45] Speaker 1: And here we go, your new episode.
[0:47] Speaker 3: Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning.
[0:48] Speaker 1: Second date update.
[0:51] Speaker 5: It's Halloween week.
[0:52] Speaker 6: It's Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning.
[0:54] Speaker 7: And we've gotten a flood of emails and voice messages
[0:58] Speaker 7: from people who partied over the weekend.
[1:02] Speaker 6: We've been sorting through them all morning.
[1:04] Speaker 7: And I know some people think pumpkin patches are a
[1:07] Speaker 7: hot spot for romance. Others think they can find drunken
[1:11] Speaker 7: love at a Halloween costume party.
[1:13] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[1:14] Speaker 7: Just making out with the Energizer bunny.
[1:16] Speaker 6: But we rarely hear about.
[1:18] Speaker 7: Love connections that happen inside of a haunted house.
[1:22] Speaker 1: Ooh.
[1:23] Speaker 5: Inside?
[1:23] Speaker 1: Tell me it's a zombie and the chainsaw guy fell
[1:25] Speaker 1: in love.
[1:26] Speaker 5: What?
[1:26] Speaker 6: It could be.
[1:27] Speaker 5: That could never even be possible, Jeff.
[1:29] Speaker 7: Apparently that's what happened with one of our listeners, Nathan,
[1:32] Speaker 7: who reached out for help today.
[1:34] Speaker 6: So let's talk to him about it. Nathan, welcome to
[1:36] Speaker 6: the show, man.
[1:37] Speaker 3: Hey, guys. Thanks for having me on. Oh.
[1:39] Speaker 1: Hey. I can't. Would you work at the haunted house
[1:42] Speaker 1: or were you visiting?
[1:43] Speaker 3: No, I actually work there. Okay.
[1:45] Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
[1:47] Speaker 5: I thought you just turned a corner and it was.
[1:49] Speaker 3: Like, boom!
[1:49] Speaker 5: And you're like, oh, your eyes. Yeah.
[1:51] Speaker 6: Maybe that's exactly how it happened.
[1:53] Speaker 1: Sometimes love hits you that way, Jose.
[1:55] Speaker 5: No, it doesn't.
[1:55] Speaker 1: Sometimes it's a jump scare.
[1:58] Speaker 3: I do a lot of different jobs there, but that
[2:00] Speaker 3: night I was the emergency exit guy.
[2:02] Speaker 1: Oh, you're the serious guy.
[2:03] Speaker 7: Oh, you're looking for people like having panic attacks and
[2:07] Speaker 7: need to leave.
[2:07] Speaker 1: And then they're so happy to see you.
[2:09] Speaker 4: You're the hero.
[2:09] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[2:11] Speaker 3: Exactly. I'm not a buzzkill. I'm a hero. So last
[2:14] Speaker 3: Saturday night, there was this group of, I don't know,
[2:17] Speaker 3: like five or six people going through and just, you know,
[2:20] Speaker 3: like I have this step ladder so that I can
[2:21] Speaker 3: see people like from above. They can't really see me. Creepy.
[2:25] Speaker 2: I didn't realize that we're actually being watched as we
[2:27] Speaker 2: go through it.
[2:28] Speaker 3: Well, it's for safety. I'm there, a real person.
[2:30] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[2:31] Speaker 3: But it's, like, not actually that easy to see people
[2:33] Speaker 3: in the dark, like, because they actually, like, make out
[2:34] Speaker 3: what they look like, right? But so I could see
[2:36] Speaker 3: that one of the girls in this group of, like,
[2:39] Speaker 3: five or six people was totally freaked out. Oh, no. Yeah, like,
[2:44] Speaker 3: much more than normal. Like, not, like, regular scared.
[2:46] Speaker 2: Like, crying.
[2:47] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[2:47] Speaker 5: Not having fun.
[2:48] Speaker 1: Was she crying?
[2:49] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[2:49] Speaker 3: Yeah, I think she was a little bit. I couldn't
[2:51] Speaker 3: really see, but it sounded like she was. It didn't
[2:53] Speaker 3: seem like she was having fun.
[2:54] Speaker 1: Okay.
[2:54] Speaker 3: Okay.
[2:55] Speaker 1: So is that when you swoop in?
[2:57] Speaker 3: Yeah, so they got to, like, what we call the
[2:58] Speaker 3: zombie hospital, and she couldn't handle it. So I came
[3:01] Speaker 3: off my ladder, and I got her to the exit door,
[3:04] Speaker 3: and I get her outside, which is what you do
[3:06] Speaker 3: in that situation. And then, like, all of a sudden,
[3:08] Speaker 3: it's just, like, me and her.
[3:09] Speaker 2: Well, now it just turned romantic, didn't it?
[3:11] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[3:12] Speaker 7: Do you need a kiss to calm you down from
[3:15] Speaker 7: your fear, possibly?
[3:17] Speaker 3: I was very professional. But, like, I hadn't seen her before, really,
[3:21] Speaker 3: in the dark, like I was saying. But, like, under
[3:23] Speaker 3: the streetlights, she was beautiful. Aww.
[3:26] Speaker 7: Wow.
[3:27] Speaker 1: Dude, I bet that's kind of, like, that is shocking
[3:30] Speaker 1: for you.
[3:30] Speaker 5: Yeah. Right?
[3:31] Speaker 6: Is that something that you tell her, though, in the moment?
[3:34] Speaker 6: I don't know if it's appropriate.
[3:35] Speaker 3: No, no. But she had this, like, stressed look on
[3:38] Speaker 3: her face. And she was asking me to stay with her.
[3:41] Speaker 3: And she kept asking me to, like, she's like, you know,
[3:43] Speaker 3: my hand. And she said, actually, she said she wanted
[3:46] Speaker 3: to thank me for being her hero.
[3:48] Speaker 6: Wow. She used the word hero.
[3:50] Speaker 3: Yay.
[3:51] Speaker 6: That's big.
[3:51] Speaker 1: Okay.
[3:52] Speaker 3: And then she told me her name was Chloe. Okay.
[3:54] Speaker 4: Sorry, I'm only laughing because I'm thinking you're out there
[3:57] Speaker 4: with her, so anyone else in the house looking for
[3:59] Speaker 4: the emergency exit can't find you.
[4:02] Speaker 5: There's like five people.
[4:03] Speaker 1: That'll be fine, Alexis.
[4:05] Speaker 3: People don't use it very often, so I mean, hopefully
[4:08] Speaker 3: no one was stuck in there without me.
[4:11] Speaker 5: If it's only used a couple times a night.
[4:13] Speaker 1: He only heard help three times. He was busy. Everyone
[4:16] Speaker 1: does that. Yeah.
[4:18] Speaker 3: Anyway, eventually her friends came out and then they yelled
[4:21] Speaker 3: for her. And so she had to go. Okay.
[4:23] Speaker 5: Good.
[4:24] Speaker 1: What do you do? How do you seal the deal
[4:25] Speaker 1: here or make a move?
[4:27] Speaker 2: Right.
[4:28] Speaker 3: So I was like, well, you know, I want to
[4:29] Speaker 3: be professional. But then she, before she left, she's like,
[4:32] Speaker 3: could I get your Instagram? Oh.
[4:34] Speaker 1: Makes it easy for you?
[4:35] Speaker 5: She asked you. That's awesome.
[4:37] Speaker 3: Yes. Yeah, and so she gave me her IG, and
[4:40] Speaker 3: then that night, I mean, it was already night, but
[4:42] Speaker 3: maybe later, I DMed her.
[4:45] Speaker 2: At the stroke of midnight, of course, just to stick
[4:47] Speaker 2: with the haunted house theme.
[4:49] Speaker 3: Right. Yeah, because I didn't want her to see me
[4:51] Speaker 3: turn into a pumpkin. So we planned a date. It
[4:55] Speaker 3: was a really nice date. It was quick because my
[4:58] Speaker 3: schedule was really tight, work and everything, but we had
[5:01] Speaker 3: like a half hour. A half hour? Yeah. Well, because
[5:05] Speaker 3: my schedule was really tight, but she wanted to be
[5:07] Speaker 3: in like a calm, well-lit environment.
[5:11] Speaker 6: Oh, coming off the haunted house.
[5:12] Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
[5:13] Speaker 6: Changed the vibe up a little bit.
[5:14] Speaker 5: In a first date.
[5:15] Speaker 3: Exactly. Okay.
[5:16] Speaker 6: So what did you do?
[5:18] Speaker 3: We had tea at a tea house.
[5:20] Speaker 1: Did you do the Halloween-themed tea? Those are so trendy
[5:22] Speaker 1: and cute.
[5:23] Speaker 4: Oh, they are?
[5:23] Speaker 5: I'd love to go to a tea house.
[5:25] Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't think it was scary tea. It was
[5:26] Speaker 3: regular tea.
[5:27] Speaker 6: It was scary tea.
[5:29] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[5:30] Speaker 2: So, I mean, in the half hour, that's such a
[5:32] Speaker 2: short amount of time. Are you able to make a
[5:34] Speaker 2: deeper connection with her or flirt?
[5:36] Speaker 3: Well, I found out a lot about her, and I
[5:39] Speaker 3: think we made a connection. Like, I found out that
[5:41] Speaker 3: she's a nurse. Oh, good job. She was asking me
[5:44] Speaker 3: more about my work, and she was like, how can
[5:48] Speaker 3: you work there? Don't you get scared? Yeah.
[5:51] Speaker 2: You're like, no, I actually went and had beers with
[5:53] Speaker 2: a zombie that was trying to hunt you down.
[5:56] Speaker 3: But it was really good vibes at the tea house.
[5:58] Speaker 3: I thought, like, I don't know, it just seemed like
[6:00] Speaker 3: we'd known each other a while, even though we hadn't.
[6:04] Speaker 3: But then I had to leave, and I paid the bill,
[6:06] Speaker 3: and I gave her a hug, and I was like,
[6:08] Speaker 3: I have to run. And I've tried to reach her, like,
[6:12] Speaker 3: I don't know, two, three times since then, the last
[6:15] Speaker 3: few days. Like, I don't want to be weird, but
[6:16] Speaker 3: I haven't gotten any response.
[6:18] Speaker 5: You were so respectable, too, of her boundaries.
[6:21] Speaker 7: Maybe it's too much of a roller coaster where the
[6:23] Speaker 7: night you met, she was terrified and scared.
[6:26] Speaker 1: It was like a trauma bond type of situation.
[6:29] Speaker 7: The next time she sees you, you're in a quiet
[6:31] Speaker 7: little tea house sipping out of a porcelain cup. You're
[6:34] Speaker 7: not the same. It's the total opposite. She doesn't know
[6:37] Speaker 7: what to think about you.
[6:38] Speaker 1: I say we call him a renaissance man.
[6:40] Speaker 3: Oh.
[6:40] Speaker 1: Yes. He's a little bit of everything, Jeff.
[6:43] Speaker 7: That does sound sexy. Everybody loves the renaissance and the
[6:47] Speaker 7: men from it. But maybe we need to lean into
[6:51] Speaker 7: reconnecting Chloe with her haunted house hero. Maybe that's the
[6:55] Speaker 7: better angle because that's what got them together in the
[6:57] Speaker 7: first place.
[6:57] Speaker 6: Right, Nathan?
[6:58] Speaker 3: That's right.
[6:59] Speaker 1: Are you talking chainsaw background noises? Yeah.
[7:03] Speaker 7: No, let's call Chloe and remind her of who saved
[7:06] Speaker 7: her from the scary zombie hospital and hopefully hook you
[7:09] Speaker 7: two back up when we give you a second date
[7:11] Speaker 7: update Halloween edition right after this.
[7:15] Speaker 1: Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning, second date update.
[7:19] Speaker 7: This may be a first time on the show ever
[7:22] Speaker 7: that we've heard a possible romantic connection that started with
[7:25] Speaker 7: a woman on the verge of tears.
[7:27] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[7:27] Speaker 6: Inside of a haunted house.
[7:29] Speaker 1: It's the only season that's fun, right?
[7:31] Speaker 6: Right.
[7:32] Speaker 7: I also want to say, not just girls get scared
[7:35] Speaker 7: in haunted houses and have to take the emergency.
[7:36] Speaker 5: Exit, okay?
[7:37] Speaker 6: That's good to bring up.
[7:38] Speaker 5: For everyone to feel comfortable.
[7:40] Speaker 7: We have years of audio proving that. But that was
[7:44] Speaker 7: what our listener Nathan said happened. He was the emergency
[7:47] Speaker 7: escape guy in the haunted house where if you get
[7:50] Speaker 7: too scared, he'll step in and help you find the
[7:52] Speaker 7: exit door. And he did that the other night for
[7:55] Speaker 7: a woman named Chloe.
[7:56] Speaker 1: She even called him a hero. She really did.
[7:59] Speaker 6: And helped calm her down.
[8:00] Speaker 7: And afterwards, they exchanged IGs and went to a tea
[8:04] Speaker 7: house just a couple days later.
[8:05] Speaker 6: Exact opposite date. Yes.
[8:08] Speaker 7: Trying to definitely go the opposite direction. It wasn't a
[8:11] Speaker 7: very long date, but Nathan felt the connection happening. So
[8:16] Speaker 7: why is she now suddenly avoiding him? That's what we're
[8:19] Speaker 7: hoping to find out.
[8:21] Speaker 2: Nathan, I think you went wrong with just the 30-minute date.
[8:23] Speaker 2: I know you have a busy schedule, but it's like
[8:25] Speaker 2: if you don't have anything invested in something, it's so
[8:28] Speaker 2: easy to just walk away from it.
[8:30] Speaker 3: I get that. I felt a lot of positive momentum
[8:33] Speaker 3: in that 30 minutes. It's just weird that she dropped off.
[8:36] Speaker 6: Nathan, today we need to be your hero. Yeah! We're
[8:41] Speaker 6: going to pull you in tears out of our exit door.
[8:44] Speaker 1: That second part isn't as good.
[8:46] Speaker 2: I don't like when you talk about your exit door, Josh.
[8:51] Speaker 7: Many people have been taken through our exit door throughout
[8:54] Speaker 7: the years, and they've all been satisfied.
[8:57] Speaker 5: All right.
[8:57] Speaker 6: That's our promise to you.
[8:58] Speaker 1: That last part is definitely not true.
[9:00] Speaker 5: Do we have like a code word, guys?
[9:01] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[9:02] Speaker 1: Like he needs to exit.
[9:03] Speaker 6: I think Nathan's on board with me. Right, Nate?
[9:05] Speaker 3: Yeah. I want you to pull me through your exit door.
[9:08] Speaker 5: Thank you. Okay.
[9:10] Speaker 6: Now that we're on the same page. Now he's going
[9:12] Speaker 6: to clip that. It's going to be my new ringtone.
[9:15] Speaker 5: We're going to replay that one.
[9:16] Speaker 6: Let's call Chloe and see if she answers. Hopefully she
[9:19] Speaker 6: has an explanation for us, but I'm going to dial
[9:21] Speaker 6: it right now. Here we go. Hello? Hey, we're looking
[9:28] Speaker 6: to speak with Chloe.
[9:31] Speaker 3: This is she?
[9:32] Speaker 1: Who's this? Hey, good morning, Chloe. She does sound fun
[9:35] Speaker 1: and nice.
[9:36] Speaker 3: You do.
[9:36] Speaker 7: You sound very sweet, Chloe. We're not nearly as sweet
[9:39] Speaker 7: as you sound. We're a radio show called Brooke and Jeffrey.
[9:42] Speaker 6: In the morning.
[9:42] Speaker 1: Welcome to the show, Chloe.
[9:43] Speaker 7: Yeah.
[9:44] Speaker 5: Okay.
[9:47] Speaker 3: What are you calling about?
[9:49] Speaker 7: We're calling about this segment that we do. It's called
[9:51] Speaker 7: the Second Date Update, where we try to help out listeners.
[9:54] Speaker 7: If you've gone out with someone and afterwards... They're not
[9:57] Speaker 7: calling you back. We'll reach out to see if there's
[9:59] Speaker 7: a reason why.
[10:00] Speaker 4: Okay.
[10:07] Speaker 1: Exciting, right?
[10:12] Speaker 5: Fun?
[10:13] Speaker 1: Trying to keep her positive right now?
[10:17] Speaker 7: I I can tell you're hesitant, so I'm just going
[10:20] Speaker 7: to let you know what we're doing here. We're trying
[10:22] Speaker 7: to help out one of our listeners named Nathan that
[10:25] Speaker 7: you met at a haunted house recently.
[10:27] Speaker 1: Remember the hero?
[10:29] Speaker 3: Oh, no. Oh, God. That's what this is about?
[10:35] Speaker 1: What?
[10:36] Speaker 5: That is not at all what we thought you would say.
[10:38] Speaker 5: He wasn't your hero or something?
[10:39] Speaker 3: No.
[10:40] Speaker 7: I actually predict them to say that all the time, Jose,
[10:42] Speaker 7: so we're not totally shocked by your reaction.
[10:46] Speaker 6: We're just trying to figure out what the reason is.
[10:48] Speaker 2: I got to say, I'm a little shocked. Like, you
[10:50] Speaker 2: only spent 30 minutes with the man. Like, how could
[10:52] Speaker 2: you go from liking him enough to meeting up with
[10:55] Speaker 2: him to, oh, God, no?
[10:56] Speaker 1: Seriously.
[10:58] Speaker 4: I just think he's really insensitive.
[11:01] Speaker 1: Oh.
[11:01] Speaker 5: Insensitive?
[11:02] Speaker 3: Wait.
[11:03] Speaker 1: The guy rescuing people from the haunted house?
[11:06] Speaker 6: Maybe he did it kind of rough.
[11:07] Speaker 3: No, no.
[11:09] Speaker 5: He just yanked her through his exit door.
[11:12] Speaker 4: I don't mean insensitive when he helped me. I mean
[11:15] Speaker 4: on our date.
[11:17] Speaker 1: At the tea house?
[11:18] Speaker 5: Yeah, how?
[11:18] Speaker 6: How so?
[11:19] Speaker 3: Yes.
[11:20] Speaker 4: He showed up to the tea house dressed in his
[11:23] Speaker 4: costume from the haunted house.
[11:26] Speaker 5: Oh, my gosh.
[11:28] Speaker 1: Wait, what was the costume?
[11:30] Speaker 4: He was in a straight jacket with the arms undone.
[11:35] Speaker 3: The chains were on.
[11:36] Speaker 4: There was a bloody scar on his face. Oh, man.
[11:40] Speaker 1: He did not bring that up.
[11:42] Speaker 5: What did he think of that? Why would he do that?
[11:45] Speaker 6: We heard there was tea.
[11:46] Speaker 2: He said he only could fit in 30 minutes because
[11:48] Speaker 2: he was so busy with work.
[11:50] Speaker 6: Oh, he was going to work right after? I didn't
[11:51] Speaker 6: realize that's why he was busy.
[11:53] Speaker 1: I mean, I would assume. I'm just making an assumption.
[11:55] Speaker 5: No, that makes sense.
[11:56] Speaker 1: Did you ask him why he was dressed that way?
[11:58] Speaker 6: Yeah.
[11:59] Speaker 4: I said, like, there's all this stuff everywhere, and there's
[12:03] Speaker 4: a scar on your face. And he was just like, oh, oh,
[12:06] Speaker 4: I can take that off. And he peeled it off
[12:08] Speaker 4: his face.
[12:10] Speaker 5: Oh, no.
[12:11] Speaker 6: That was scary.
[12:11] Speaker 5: He peeled the scar off.
[12:13] Speaker 6: He set it down.
[12:14] Speaker 4: On the table.
[12:15] Speaker 3: Oh.
[12:16] Speaker 6: Right next to his English muffin.
[12:18] Speaker 4: And then he's trying to drink tea with his straitjacket hands.
[12:23] Speaker 4: And like, I might need a little help. So I
[12:27] Speaker 4: was helping him with tea. I was sitting right next
[12:31] Speaker 4: to him and I was putting the tea up to
[12:34] Speaker 4: his lips. Then I smelled the worst garlic breath I've
[12:39] Speaker 4: ever smelled.
[12:41] Speaker 3: What?
[12:41] Speaker 7: He had.
[12:42] Speaker 5: Garlic breath? That doesn't have anything to do with an outfit.
[12:44] Speaker 4: Garlic breath.
[12:45] Speaker 1: He had bad breath?
[12:46] Speaker 4: A mental patient with garlic breath.
[12:49] Speaker 6: Oh, my God.
[12:50] Speaker 5: It's part of a costume?
[12:51] Speaker 3: Hey, you're getting this all wrong. You do not know
[12:53] Speaker 3: what you're talking about. I did not have garlic breath. Wait,
[12:57] Speaker 3: is that Nathan?
[12:58] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[12:59] Speaker 7: Sorry about the interruption, Chloe. We have a deranged mental
[13:02] Speaker 7: patient waiting on the other line. You might remember him
[13:05] Speaker 7: as Nathan.
[13:06] Speaker 5: He was supposed to wait.
[13:08] Speaker 3: Oh, my God. I'm sorry. Nathan. Listen to me. It
[13:12] Speaker 3: was not garlic. That wasn't my breath. I have to
[13:14] Speaker 3: wear a garlic necklace for when I did a vampire scene.
[13:18] Speaker 3: And I was wearing it under my straight jackets. Wait,
[13:21] Speaker 3: you have.
[13:22] Speaker 2: To play multiple roles within the haunted house?
[13:24] Speaker 5: Like one moment you're... Yeah, that's what he was saying.
[13:27] Speaker 2: Like sometimes he's the next guy.
[13:29] Speaker 6: The economies even hit the haunted houses, bro.
[13:32] Speaker 3: I'm multi-talented. I'm good at what I do.
[13:34] Speaker 1: Yeah, it sounds like it actually.
[13:36] Speaker 5: He's probably right.
[13:38] Speaker 1: You showed up to a date in costume and didn't
[13:40] Speaker 1: warn her. A woman who was so scared that she
[13:43] Speaker 1: couldn't go through the haunted house.
[13:45] Speaker 3: Honestly, you're lucky I didn't bring in my bloody wooden stake.
[13:48] Speaker 3: I left that in the car. Oh, my gosh.
[13:53] Speaker 6: You had a wooden stake prop?
[13:55] Speaker 4: I'm lucky you didn't bring it in.
[13:58] Speaker 5: It's a tea house.
[13:59] Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
[14:01] Speaker 3: I don't know why you're so surprised about this, Chloe.
[14:03] Speaker 3: I told you I only had a half an hour
[14:05] Speaker 3: between gigs at the haunted house. I thought we were
[14:07] Speaker 3: clear about that.
[14:08] Speaker 4: You didn't tell me that you were dressing up as
[14:12] Speaker 4: a mental patient. And on top of that, he texted
[14:16] Speaker 4: me after the date with a selfie of a severed head.
[14:21] Speaker 3: Oh my god, that is not fair. I sent it
[14:24] Speaker 3: because I thought it looked like you.
[14:26] Speaker 5: Oh my god!
[14:28] Speaker 1: Did the severed head look like her?
[14:30] Speaker 5: I hope it wasn't one of those shrinked ones. That's
[14:32] Speaker 5: kind of sweet.
[14:34] Speaker 3: It was supposed to be funny. I thought you had
[14:36] Speaker 3: a sense of humor.
[14:38] Speaker 4: It wasn't funny.
[14:39] Speaker 5: She doesn't like scary, bro.
[14:41] Speaker 6: Well, this is not going well.
[14:44] Speaker 7: Chloe, I know that Nathan was your hero on the
[14:47] Speaker 7: night that you two first met, but I mean, this
[14:49] Speaker 7: is kind of what dating is all about. You get
[14:51] Speaker 7: to know people and what they're really like and their
[14:55] Speaker 7: sense of humor, if it matches. And maybe you two
[14:58] Speaker 7: just aren't a good fit for each other.
[15:01] Speaker 5: Can I make a point that once movie season's over,
[15:02] Speaker 5: this isn't his year-round full-time job. She just has to
[15:05] Speaker 5: deal with it right now.
[15:06] Speaker 1: Yeah, are you saying no for Khloe? You're not going
[15:08] Speaker 1: to ask her?
[15:09] Speaker 7: Do you hear the romantic sparks happening? Because I'm not here.
[15:13] Speaker 1: You always push it even when everyone else says no.
[15:15] Speaker 5: It's a killer in a straitjacket.
[15:17] Speaker 1: So out of character.
[15:18] Speaker 7: I'm hitting the exit emergency door right now.
[15:22] Speaker 6: I'm seeing the scared screams are happening.
[15:23] Speaker 5: You're taking yourself to the back door.
[15:25] Speaker 6: Maybe I'm wrong. Nathan, am I wrong?
[15:27] Speaker 3: No, I think maybe you're right and we're just better
[15:30] Speaker 3: as hookup buddies. There we go.
[15:32] Speaker 1: Now we're coming to an agreement.
[15:35] Speaker 6: You haven't even kissed.
[15:37] Speaker 4: I'm sorry, but we never hooked up.
[15:39] Speaker 5: Yeah, but we could.
[15:42] Speaker 6: That's hopeful thinking. Okay, I'm back on board. They are
[15:45] Speaker 6: a good couple. I see this match happening.
[15:48] Speaker 4: You should go hook up with that severed head, because
[15:52] Speaker 4: that's the closest you'll ever get to being with me.
[15:56] Speaker 3: If that's what you're into, I'm down.
[15:59] Speaker 6: Oh, Nathan's up for it.
[16:01] Speaker 1: Up for the severed head?
[16:03] Speaker 7: Maybe all three of you can get together for a date,
[16:05] Speaker 7: and if you want to hang out.
[16:07] Speaker 6: gonna ask yeah i'm now i'm on board.
[16:09] Speaker 1: Your timing is impeccable nathan.
[16:11] Speaker 7: Won me over with that and hopefully he won you
[16:14] Speaker 7: over too because if you want to see him again
[16:16] Speaker 7: chloe we will pay for that date i.
[16:18] Speaker 2: Mean after all the romance he just spewed how could
[16:20] Speaker 2: you say.
[16:21] Speaker 6: No oh a big shot no yeah okay.
[16:25] Speaker 3: No that's all right i'm down for friends or benefits
[16:27] Speaker 3: if that's all he's.
[16:29] Speaker 7: Emphasizing it and we would pay for his and her
[16:31] Speaker 7: straight jackets so you two could.
[16:33] Speaker 3: Match i would never kink shame you Oh, see.
[16:38] Speaker 6: What a good guy.
[16:39] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[16:39] Speaker 1: I don't think she feels the same.
[16:40] Speaker 6: Yeah.
[16:41] Speaker 7: I'm sensing it's a no from Chloe based on the
[16:44] Speaker 7: literal words that she said no. Yeah. So I'm sorry
[16:47] Speaker 7: we couldn't score you a date there, Nathan, but I'm
[16:50] Speaker 7: sure there's plenty of girls out there who would love
[16:52] Speaker 7: to grab tea with a guy in a straight jacket.
[16:53] Speaker 1: Plenty is a stretch.
[16:55] Speaker 6: There's at least one out there.
[16:56] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[16:57] Speaker 5: He was making a joke. Plenty.
[16:58] Speaker 3: Yeah. That was good.
[16:59] Speaker 1: That was good.
[17:00] Speaker 4: Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning.
[17:04] Speaker 7: Liz kind of messes up that whole saying that men
[17:06] Speaker 7: in uniform are sexy. Because if your uniform is a
[17:10] Speaker 7: straitjacket and chains with fake bloody scars, apparently that's a turnoff.
[17:15] Speaker 1: I mean, it could be hot to someone.
[17:17] Speaker 5: Yeah, everyone's got something.
[17:20] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just maybe he didn't have the right audience.
[17:23] Speaker 7: Well, actually, we are getting a lot of texts in
[17:25] Speaker 7: 78592 from singles who are interested in straitjacket Nate.
[17:28] Speaker 5: Hey! Someone wants to get tied up with him, I think.
[17:32] Speaker 1: What a nickname.
[17:33] Speaker 5: It's a good nickname.
[17:34] Speaker 7: Just more proof one person's crazy is another person's cozy.
[17:38] Speaker 1: I was also going to say crazy.
[17:39] Speaker 5: You can have me both.
[17:41] Speaker 6: And we want to hook you up if we can.
[17:43] Speaker 6: Email the show. We'll call that person who's not calling
[17:45] Speaker 6: you back.
