[0:00] Speaker 1: Want to make a.
[0:04] Speaker 2: Little extra pocket change for this weekend?
[0:08] Speaker 1: Yes, I do indeed. Well, look no further than Paramount Sports'
[0:12] Speaker 1: Lee Sterling to tell you how. All right, here we go.
[0:15] Speaker 2: Our weekly opportunity to talk to our expert in-house handicapper
[0:20] Speaker 2: from Paramount Sports in Miami, South Florida.
[0:22] Speaker 1: It's our friend Lee Sterling. Lee, how are you, pal?
[0:27] Speaker 1: I'm good.
[0:27] Speaker 3: I mean, you've got listeners all over. I mean... Oh,
[0:31] Speaker 3: this kid, Tamor ran into a kid named Tamor, who
[0:35] Speaker 3: is the, I mean, we're talking about a big wig here.
[0:39] Speaker 3: He's the head of football administration for, I mean, Nottingham force,
[0:46] Speaker 3: one of the premier league teams and great kid had
[0:52] Speaker 3: a great time, met him at a bar right outside
[0:55] Speaker 3: the game and loved, Loves your show, and he was
[1:00] Speaker 3: a University of Washington grad. Seattle sports fan, listens to
[1:04] Speaker 3: you every day. And so all I can tell you
[1:08] Speaker 3: is he gave us first-class– hospitality. It's an amazing organization.
[1:14] Speaker 3: If you or Dick ever head that way, go to London.
[1:18] Speaker 3: I'm going to give you Tamor's information. He will take
[1:20] Speaker 3: care of you. One of the greatest individuals I've ever met.
[1:23] Speaker 2: Well, I mean, it's just about time after all these
[1:25] Speaker 2: years that you just finally admit that we're a big
[1:27] Speaker 2: damn deal. Took you about 25 years to admit that, pal.
[1:32] Speaker 2: So welcome to the club. You now know the reach
[1:35] Speaker 2: and the power of this radio show. By the way,
[1:40] Speaker 2: rough week for you on the air last week, but
[1:43] Speaker 2: this is where we play the dip, right? This is
[1:45] Speaker 2: where you pull yourself off the mat and you rally,
[1:49] Speaker 2: and this is always the week. I've been with you
[1:51] Speaker 2: now for a long time. These weeks are going to happen.
[1:54] Speaker 2: They're bound to happen. But the bounce back is the key.
[1:57] Speaker 2: So I love jumping on your wagon this weekend after
[2:02] Speaker 2: what we all went through last weekend. So why don't
[2:04] Speaker 2: we start with the biggest game of the weekend in
[2:06] Speaker 2: college football. I'll be doing the pregame and kickoff for
[2:11] Speaker 2: the UW Eastern game on Saturday. But I'm going to
[2:14] Speaker 2: be keeping one eye on this game as well. Lane Kiffin,
[2:17] Speaker 2: Lion Lane Kiffin. All of a sudden, Sam Levitt has
[2:20] Speaker 2: been upgraded to what? Questionable, I think, now for the game.
[2:25] Speaker 2: LSU Ole Miss in Oxford. Morgan Freeman's going to be
[2:28] Speaker 2: there making his big selection on college game day. Tigers
[2:32] Speaker 2: are given three. The return of Lane Kiffin. What do
[2:36] Speaker 2: you think happens there?
[2:38] Speaker 3: As Morgan would say, start living or start dying. This
[2:42] Speaker 3: is the game of the year, possibly. If it's half
[2:44] Speaker 3: as good as Texas and Ohio State, we're going to
[2:47] Speaker 3: get our money's worth. Now, I do believe that Ole
[2:51] Speaker 3: Miss is going to be tight for this game. Why
[2:53] Speaker 3: do I say that? They've had country-western concerts going on
[2:57] Speaker 3: all week there. I think LSU's just flying in here
[3:01] Speaker 3: for a business trip, and I'm not a Lane Kiffin fan,
[3:04] Speaker 3: but he knows six of the 11 starters on the
[3:07] Speaker 3: Ole Miss defense inside and out, and I think he's
[3:11] Speaker 3: going to exploit them. I think the Ole Miss offense
[3:14] Speaker 3: is the best of the four units, but I think
[3:16] Speaker 3: their defense can be had. They have a lot of
[3:18] Speaker 3: busting coverage. They seem to get tired in the third
[3:21] Speaker 3: and fourth quarter. The right team's favorite, LSU, and at
[3:25] Speaker 3: barn burner, 41-34.
[3:27] Speaker 1: 41-34, take the Tigers.
[3:28] Speaker 2: All right, UW, back in the day, growing up, we
[3:31] Speaker 2: never got to have lines on these games because it
[3:33] Speaker 2: was Division I versus Division II, and now it's FBS
[3:37] Speaker 2: versus FCS, and we have a line. Huskies are given 42-1⁄2.
[3:41] Speaker 2: This is a Husky football team that has been struggling
[3:45] Speaker 2: offensively no matter who they play, and now they're given
[3:48] Speaker 2: 42-1⁄2 against Eastern tomorrow.
[3:51] Speaker 3: Yeah, Eastern is kind of a middle-of-the-road team. They won
[3:55] Speaker 3: one of the games against Northern Iowa. The other two
[3:59] Speaker 3: had some mishaps. They're just not real big at the
[4:02] Speaker 3: point of attack. Nate Bell can run around a little,
[4:04] Speaker 3: but 42-and-a-half with this offense right now, I'm not laying it.
[4:08] Speaker 3: I think they win the game. 51-13, give me Eastern
[4:12] Speaker 3: Washington plus the points.
[4:14] Speaker 2: All right, Niners coming off their trip to Australia. I
[4:17] Speaker 2: got a couple of guys banged up, including Dungas, their
[4:19] Speaker 2: tight end, and they're at home hosting your Dolphins in
[4:23] Speaker 2: Santa Clara on Sunday.
[4:26] Speaker 3: Yeah, Ashton Gentry ran all over Miami. I just don't
[4:33] Speaker 3: think that the Raiders are even a good team. I
[4:37] Speaker 3: think that San Francisco can do whatever they want. They're
[4:40] Speaker 3: not going to show a whole lot. I think they're
[4:41] Speaker 3: going to run the football. Like I said, play close
[4:46] Speaker 3: to the vest here. I'm going to take a different
[4:49] Speaker 3: approach here to this game.
[4:51] Speaker 1: You know what?
[4:51] Speaker 3: I'm going to play both sides. I'm going to play
[4:53] Speaker 3: the 49ers minus 13, and I'm going to go under 45.
[4:56] Speaker 3: I haven't won in this game something like 30 to 13.
[4:59] Speaker 2: All right, those are official picks, the Niners minus the
[5:02] Speaker 2: points and the under 45. Okay, Rams also coming back
[5:06] Speaker 2: from Australia. The difference is they get the extra day
[5:09] Speaker 2: because they're playing on Monday night against the Giants, and
[5:12] Speaker 2: they're giving seven.
[5:14] Speaker 3: Rams were bullied by the 49ers who used 21 personnel.
[5:18] Speaker 3: 30 rushes for 174 yards here. John Harbaugh, before he
[5:26] Speaker 3: had Lamar Jackson, that's what his football teams represented here.
[5:31] Speaker 3: Matthew Stafford wasn't sacked, but he was hit plenty of times.
[5:36] Speaker 3: Eight hits, I counted. Giants defense is rested. Only 52
[5:40] Speaker 3: plays last week versus Dallas. Love their defensive line and
[5:44] Speaker 3: edge rushers here. Her team is favored. I'm going with
[5:50] Speaker 3: the G-men here to pull off the shocker here. Wow. 28-24.
[5:53] Speaker 2: They win straight up, says Lee Sterling. All right, the Seahawks, Arizona.
[5:58] Speaker 2: When these two teams get together, especially down there in Arizona, man,
[6:01] Speaker 2: weird things happen. The Cardinals, by the way, in Arizona,
[6:07] Speaker 2: have not won a game against the Seahawks since the
[6:10] Speaker 2: COVID year of 2020 when Arizona won in overtime 37-34. Arizona,
[6:16] Speaker 2: as a matter of fact, has lost nine consecutive games
[6:20] Speaker 2: overall to the Seahawks and ten of their last 11.
[6:25] Speaker 2: Hawks are given three and a half right now. It
[6:27] Speaker 2: was four and a half. It's now three and a
[6:29] Speaker 2: half with Drew Locke. against Jacoby Brissett. What happens on
[6:32] Speaker 2: Sunday in Glendale?
[6:35] Speaker 3: Keep talking yourself up here and keep trying to gain
[6:38] Speaker 3: that confidence. I think Arizona, remember they were 2-0 last
[6:42] Speaker 3: year before the 1-14 debacle injuries. Their defense still is
[6:47] Speaker 3: not good, I've got to be honest with you. But
[6:49] Speaker 3: Jacoby Brissett has some weapons now, running back with love.
[6:52] Speaker 3: I think that, I mean, the receivers are good, great
[6:57] Speaker 3: tight end. And Drew Locke, now they know what to
[7:00] Speaker 3: prepare for. Seattle escapes a dogfight. Wow. 24-23. I'm taking
[7:06] Speaker 3: the three and a half.
[7:06] Speaker 2: Arizona plus the points. Yeah, I was just looking this up, guys. Actually,
[7:09] Speaker 2: since the end of the 2012 season, the Arizona Cardinals,
[7:14] Speaker 2: I believe, have won one game in Arizona against the Seahawks.
[7:19] Speaker 2: And that was that overtime game we talked about in 2020.
[7:22] Speaker 2: All right, game of the week. Broncos, Jaguars, Broncos back
[7:25] Speaker 2: home in Denver.
[7:27] Speaker 1: What do you like?
[7:28] Speaker 3: Love this game. Biggest game of the week for me.
[7:32] Speaker 3: It will have the strongest units going out to my
[7:35] Speaker 3: paid clients. I'm going to give it to you for
[7:37] Speaker 3: free because we had a down week last week. Broncos
[7:41] Speaker 3: and Jags, just call 800-400-9741 to get the game for free. Also,
[7:46] Speaker 3: we have what's called the NFL Sunday Ticket last year.
[7:50] Speaker 3: Five games, just $ 75. We won 14 out of 18 weeks.
[7:53] Speaker 3: Check it out. Hop on board. We have one for
[7:58] Speaker 3: our clients all three weeks. So feeling good about that.
[8:01] Speaker 3: Let's make it four in a row. ParamountSports.com. All right.
[8:04] Speaker 1: You're the best. Good luck. We'll talk in a week, man.
[8:06] Speaker 1: Appreciate it, pal.
[8:07] Speaker 3: Okay. See you. All right.
[8:09] Speaker 2: Lee Sterling, he likes LSU minus the three against Ole Miss.
[8:12] Speaker 2: He likes Eastern to cover. They'll lose, but they cover
[8:16] Speaker 2: the 42-and-a-half. Niners to cover the 13-and-a-half against Miami. He
[8:21] Speaker 2: also likes the under in that game, by the way.
[8:23] Speaker 2: He says, take the Giants plus the seven.
[8:26] Speaker 1: They went outright. Take the money line if you can
[8:28] Speaker 1: get it.
[8:29] Speaker 2: And the Seahawks in Arizona, he likes Arizona plus the
[8:31] Speaker 2: points against the Hawks. We're going to break. We're going
[8:34] Speaker 2: to talk a little more Mariner baseball. We'll Bill Kruger
[8:38] Speaker 2: and then get to football the rest of the way.
[8:40] Speaker 2: Jetfish 430. Hugh Millen joins at 5. Rick Neuheisel 620 tonight,
[8:44] Speaker 2: courtesy of Taco Time.
[8:46] Speaker 1: Coming up on 93.3 KJRFM.
