[0:37] Speaker 2: Here we go on a busy Wednesday afternoon right here
[0:41] Speaker 2: on 93.3 KJRFM. It is my pleasure, my absolute unbridled

[1:03] Speaker 2: my friend, husband of the month and father of the year,
[1:06] Speaker 2: Petros Papadakis.
[1:08] Speaker 3: Brought to you by.
[1:10] Speaker 4: Sweet James, the dense beard of justice. He can come
[1:13] Speaker 4: through for you, you know, if you've ever been in
[1:14] Speaker 4: a car accident or a motorcycle accident. If a dog
[1:17] Speaker 4: has bitten your balls, whatever it is, Sweet James knows.
[1:20] Speaker 4: The ancient secrets in which to extract the money you
[1:23] Speaker 4: are owed from your insurance company. I'm here at the
[1:27] Speaker 4: BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse getting ready for our remote show.
[1:30] Speaker 4: A big thank you to Bert, our engineer, and our
[1:33] Speaker 4: own Tim Cates for hooking us up through the KJR studios.
[1:38] Speaker 4: But I'm out here in Montebello, East Los Angeles. A
[1:42] Speaker 4: softie with my Latino friends getting it cracking.
[1:45] Speaker 3: How are you? I'm good. I'm good.
[1:47] Speaker 4: I love BJ's, by the way. Who doesn't love BJ's?
[1:51] Speaker 4: BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse. They do a great job over here.
[1:55] Speaker 3: We're all big fans. We've done shows here for many years.
[1:58] Speaker 2: What kind of crowd do you guys get for those
[2:00] Speaker 2: BJ remote shows, by the way?
[2:01] Speaker 3: A hundred or so people. Really? Not bad. You're a
[2:05] Speaker 3: popular crowd. Is that a lot? Yeah, I would say so.
[2:07] Speaker 4: We fill the bar, you know, a couple of seatings.
[2:10] Speaker 4: People come in, drink a few beers, eat, leave. We're
[2:12] Speaker 4: going to be on for about three and a half hours.
[2:14] Speaker 4: So if they stay the whole time, usually they're pretty
[2:16] Speaker 4: drunk by the time they leave. But we encourage them to,
[2:19] Speaker 4: you know, a couple drinks and move on so that
[2:21] Speaker 4: other people.
[2:22] Speaker 3: And, you know, we.
[2:22] Speaker 4: Encourage people to sit together even if they don't know
[2:25] Speaker 4: each other so we can– Make sure there's just not
[2:28] Speaker 4: one person at a four-person table kind of thing.
[2:30] Speaker 3: But we've done these for a long time, Softie. They're
[2:32] Speaker 3: very popular. I love it. Well, make some new friends
[2:35] Speaker 3: at BJ's.
[2:35] Speaker 4: I like BJ's.
[2:37] Speaker 3: Why not? Well, there's a lot going on. There's a
[2:39] Speaker 3: lot going on, man.
[2:41] Speaker 4: Not only do we like BJ's, but sometimes we're live
[2:43] Speaker 4: at BJ's and we put Oral Hershiser on. So you
[2:46] Speaker 4: get BJ's. And then you put Oral on, and it's
[2:50] Speaker 4: pretty exciting.
[2:51] Speaker 3: Listen to you. All right. What? I mean, you were
[2:54] Speaker 3: leaning into it. What do you want me to do? No,
[2:56] Speaker 3: it's good. It's good.
[2:57] Speaker 4: It's good.
[2:58] Speaker 3: I'm with you.
[2:58] Speaker 2: It's good. What do we get to talk about, man?
[3:01] Speaker 2: There's a lot going on. Let's start locally here.
[3:04] Speaker 4: Since it's your show and you're the talk show host
[3:08] Speaker 4: and I am the guest, I think you know what
[3:11] Speaker 4: to do. Well, I was going to start off with
[3:14] Speaker 4: what's happening here locally, but you began to interrupt me.
[3:17] Speaker 4: What's happening locally there? Is there something going on with
[3:19] Speaker 4: the Mariners? They don't have a manager.
[3:22] Speaker 3: Well, there's nothing going on with the Dodgers because they're done.
[3:24] Speaker 4: Ha-ha!
[3:25] Speaker 3: Yeah!
[3:25] Speaker 4: Ha-ha!
[3:26] Speaker 3: Suck on that, Petros. You know what? I got a
[3:30] Speaker 3: feeling you don't give a damn.
[3:32] Speaker 4: Why do you think I'm out here with my fishnet
[3:35] Speaker 4: stockings on and my leg in the gutter in East
[3:37] Speaker 4: Los Angeles?
[3:37] Speaker 3: Are you sad the Dodgers are done?
[3:39] Speaker 4: You got to make up for that playoff revenue. No,
[3:41] Speaker 4: you remember you're a little older than me, and you
[3:45] Speaker 4: have a relatively okay taste in music.
[3:48] Speaker 3: You remember the band Ultravox from the early 80s? Of course. Yes.
[3:53] Speaker 4: Yes. 100%.
[3:54] Speaker 1: Softie? Yes.
[3:56] Speaker 3: Yep, you got me. I got you. You got me. Hello? Hello?
[4:01] Speaker 3: I lost him. All right, we're back. Okay. What happened?
[4:05] Speaker 3: I have no idea. I have no idea.
[4:07] Speaker 4: The gerbil stopped running. Do you remember the band from
[4:11] Speaker 4: the early 80s, Ultravox? Do you remember that?
[4:14] Speaker 3: 100%. 100%.
[4:14] Speaker 4: Remember that song they had, Vienna, where the guy sings
[4:17] Speaker 4: over and over? Yeah, the guy sings over and over again.
[4:21] Speaker 3: This means nothing to me. Ha, ha, ha. That's kind
[4:26] Speaker 3: of how I feel about most everything. Wow. Okay.
[4:29] Speaker 4: But now that the Dodgers have lost, yeah, there's certainly
[4:31] Speaker 4: going to have to be some money made up.
[4:33] Speaker 3: Yeah, I got you. Well, we got something going on
[4:36] Speaker 3: back here.
[4:37] Speaker 2: We got Elijah Brown going to Purdue and ripping up
[4:39] Speaker 2: the Boilermakers. 300 yards, three touchdowns, 38 points. And now
[4:43] Speaker 2: people are wondering if it should be the Elijah Brown
[4:46] Speaker 2: show or the DeMond Williams show the rest of the way.
[4:49] Speaker 3: What do you think Jed's next move is up here, pal? Well,
[4:52] Speaker 3: first of all, I'm freaking out about it. Man, wow, man,
[4:56] Speaker 3: freaked out. I don't buy that for a minute.
[5:00] Speaker 4: Well, I think that it's pretty obvious what Jed has
[5:03] Speaker 4: to do. The team is a different team. You pointed
[5:05] Speaker 4: this out from your sideline, Perch, a few weeks ago
[5:08] Speaker 4: when Elijah Brown came in the game. They're a different
[5:11] Speaker 4: team when he's in there. For whatever reason. Maybe it's
[5:14] Speaker 4: in the offseason stuff. Maybe DeMond has become more one-dimensional.
[5:19] Speaker 4: Maybe it's just not a good fit anymore or a
[5:21] Speaker 4: good situation. But if Jed Fish wants to save his
[5:25] Speaker 4: football team or keep things positive, I would leave that
[5:29] Speaker 4: Elijah Brown guy in. I mean, obviously, this isn't the
[5:32] Speaker 4: only place it's happening. This situation's going on. with what's-his-name,
[5:36] Speaker 4: JKS at Cal, and Bronner, Browner, or whatever the name
[5:42] Speaker 4: of their backup is, and Archie Manning is getting heat
[5:46] Speaker 4: at Texas, and it's harder than ever to bench a
[5:49] Speaker 4: quarterback when so much of your roster and the makeup
[5:54] Speaker 4: of the roster and how much money everybody makes is
[5:57] Speaker 4: based around that quarterback. But I think Jed the Fish
[6:00] Speaker 4: has done himself a great disservice talking– planting questions or
[6:04] Speaker 4: just answering questions about the lack of money or making
[6:08] Speaker 4: some kind of excuse for the fact that they don't
[6:10] Speaker 4: have a lot of money and that's why they're not
[6:12] Speaker 4: winning when you look over at UCLA and I don't
[6:15] Speaker 4: think they have more of an NIL situation than Washington
[6:19] Speaker 4: does and You hear the comments that Jake Dickert, the
[6:22] Speaker 4: former Wazoo coach, made the other day about how that's
[6:25] Speaker 4: not an excuse, and he's only got one loss right now,
[6:28] Speaker 4: late in October at Wake Forest, of all places, a
[6:31] Speaker 4: bottom feeder in the ACC. So I think if Jed
[6:34] Speaker 4: Fish wants to save his season and keep his team inspired,
[6:38] Speaker 4: he ought to keep Williams on the bench because this
[6:40] Speaker 4: has not worked out, and maybe even Jed would admit,
[6:45] Speaker 4: in retrospect, you should have let this guy go to LSU.
[6:48] Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I think you're right.
[6:50] Speaker 2: And look, here's the thing that I kind of, I
[6:52] Speaker 2: find myself almost defending everybody who said keep him here
[6:55] Speaker 2: because there was nothing to compare it to, right?
[6:58] Speaker 3: I mean, this is so new.
[6:59] Speaker 4: It happened in the moment. It was a whirlwind situation.
[7:03] Speaker 4: People didn't want to blame the young man in the
[7:05] Speaker 4: moment because he's a young person. Obviously, you know better
[7:09] Speaker 4: than I do. There was a death in the athletic
[7:10] Speaker 4: department of a young person that had a lot of
[7:13] Speaker 4: people rattled, of course, and That was in the midst
[7:19] Speaker 4: of remembering her and her service and a bunch of
[7:22] Speaker 4: stuff going on in the athletic department. So the timing
[7:25] Speaker 4: was terrible and the circumstance wasn't great. And in the moment,
[7:30] Speaker 4: everybody scrambled to keep this guy. But I think deep down,
[7:33] Speaker 4: it's just like anything with a girlfriend or anything. If
[7:36] Speaker 4: somebody wants to go away. You can't keep them there.
[7:40] Speaker 4: And if you do, it only leads to more strife
[7:42] Speaker 4: and discord. And I think that's what we witnessed here
[7:46] Speaker 4: in the situation at Washington. They should have just let
[7:48] Speaker 4: Lane Kiffin poach their quarterback. And I think Sam Levitt's
[7:51] Speaker 4: a way better quarterback than DeMond Williams anyway, the way
[7:54] Speaker 4: it's all kind of played out. So I think it's
[7:57] Speaker 4: an unfortunate situation. But you're right. It's easy to look
[8:01] Speaker 4: back and say, wow, what a terrible move in the
[8:03] Speaker 4: moment when it seemed like, well, this guy's sorry and
[8:06] Speaker 4: all that. But that doesn't really seem like it's the case.
[8:09] Speaker 4: It doesn't seem like they ever really mended the fences
[8:12] Speaker 4: with the rest of the team. And the body language
[8:14] Speaker 4: of the player was bad. The body language of the
[8:16] Speaker 4: offense when that player was in was bad. And all
[8:19] Speaker 4: of it has been disappointing.
[8:22] Speaker 3: Petros Papadakis is with us. I'm sorry.
[8:24] Speaker 4: I know you're with the team. It's got to be sad,
[8:26] Speaker 4: but hey, they won a game against Purdue, so way
[8:29] Speaker 4: to go.
[8:29] Speaker 2: I don't disagree with anything you said. I'm 100% with you,
[8:33] Speaker 2: and I absolutely think that Elijah Brown should start, and
[8:36] Speaker 2: I would like to hear Jed.
[8:37] Speaker 3: I mean, he's a big boy.
[8:38] Speaker 2: He can do what he wants, but if I were
[8:39] Speaker 2: advising him, I'd say stop talking about NIL.
[8:42] Speaker 4: Let's just forget it. I think that Jed Fish needs to...
[8:46] Speaker 4: I think this all starts with Jed Fish and his
[8:49] Speaker 4: overall attitude, and his overall demeanor, and a team takes
[8:54] Speaker 4: on the personality of their head coach. So if your
[8:57] Speaker 4: head coach acts like a weenie a lot of the time,
[8:59] Speaker 4: then the team is going to be a weenie team.
[9:02] Speaker 3: Wow. Well, I don't want to be a weenie team.
[9:04] Speaker 4: No, you act like a weenie when it's the second
[9:07] Speaker 4: week of October and you have somebody asking you about
[9:09] Speaker 4: NIL money split up pie.
[9:11] Speaker 3: I mean, that's the most ridiculous thing.
[9:14] Speaker 4: And then your players sit there and say, oh, okay, well,
[9:16] Speaker 4: you wish you could afford somebody better than me, and
[9:19] Speaker 4: I'm the one sitting here in the gap getting punished
[9:21] Speaker 4: and my head knocked off in West Lafayette, Indiana?
[9:24] Speaker 3: F you, buddy.
[9:25] Speaker 4: So it's a serpent eating its tail when you start
[9:29] Speaker 4: talking that way in your press conferences. And you get
[9:34] Speaker 4: people like Jed Fish or you get people like Jake
[9:37] Speaker 4: Dickert seeing what Jed Fish say and say, hey, F you, buddy,
[9:40] Speaker 4: Jed Fish.
[9:41] Speaker 2: I don't have any money. Look at me over here
[9:43] Speaker 2: in Wake Forest, brother. I don't want to be a
[9:47] Speaker 2: weenie team.
[9:48] Speaker 3: I would be having to play the rest of the
[9:50] Speaker 3: hole with my wiener out. I just don't want to
[9:52] Speaker 3: do that at all. Petros is with us.
[9:54] Speaker 2: Let's go back to one thing you mentioned there a
[9:56] Speaker 2: couple minutes ago about like the team morale.
[9:59] Speaker 3: You want to keep the team together.
[10:01] Speaker 2: I mean, obviously who really knows, right, what's going on
[10:04] Speaker 2: behind the scenes, but put yourself in the shoes of
[10:05] Speaker 2: a player. If they go back to DeMond Williams, would
[10:08] Speaker 2: that be a problem for you against Nebraska?
[10:10] Speaker 3: I mean, I don't, again, I don't know.
[10:13] Speaker 4: Everybody's different and everybody has their own individual feelings and
[10:16] Speaker 4: you ask a certain guy in a football team what's
[10:18] Speaker 4: wrong with the team, You buy 60 different guys, you
[10:21] Speaker 4: might get 30 or 40 different answers.
[10:24] Speaker 3: It's not that simple.
[10:25] Speaker 4: But I think just from the outside, and you are
[10:28] Speaker 4: much closer to this team, and I believe that's why
[10:31] Speaker 4: you're asking me these questions, because you're on the inside
[10:34] Speaker 4: of this and you see it quite well, that DeMond
[10:37] Speaker 4: Williams is probably the least most popular player on this team,
[10:41] Speaker 4: and they probably don't want him around. Are you ready
[10:46] Speaker 4: for a 2014? And it probably steps back to the summertime.
[10:49] Speaker 3: Yeah, no doubt. Are you ready for a 2014 playoff?
[10:52] Speaker 3: You want one? No, I don't care, though. I mean, it's...
[10:58] Speaker 3: This means nothing to me. I mean, we're going to argue.
[11:05] Speaker 4: What are we going to argue? We're going to argue
[11:06] Speaker 4: about Notre Dame. We're going to argue about Miami. We're
[11:10] Speaker 4: going to argue about now what? Houston versus Arkansas. A
[11:15] Speaker 4: four-loss Houston team versus a five-loss Arkansas team.
[11:19] Speaker 3: Maybe three and two. I don't know. But that's where
[11:22] Speaker 3: we're headed.
[11:22] Speaker 4: And college football has always, we've talked about this for
[11:25] Speaker 4: a long time, college football has always been chaotic. It's
[11:29] Speaker 4: always been a mismatch with this billion-dollar industry, what it's
[11:35] Speaker 4: developed into inside our institutions of higher education where we
[11:39] Speaker 4: have doctors and engineers and nurses and and the pharmaceutical
[11:44] Speaker 4: rep ladies that carry the bags and all that. All
[11:47] Speaker 4: of these people in our lives come out of universities
[11:50] Speaker 4: and also 350-pound football players that run a 4-7. It
[11:55] Speaker 4: doesn't fit. It doesn't match. It's never going to match.
[11:58] Speaker 4: You're never going to get all those universities to agree.
[12:01] Speaker 4: You're never going to get the TV companies to agree.
[12:04] Speaker 4: You're never going to get legislation passed that's going to
[12:07] Speaker 4: control it all because every university is different and has
[12:10] Speaker 4: its own personality and is unique to the area it's in.
[12:13] Speaker 4: And all those things that I just described are also
[12:17] Speaker 4: what makes college football so awesome and so much fun
[12:21] Speaker 4: and so unpredictable. And the fact that it's young people
[12:23] Speaker 4: playing and the identities of these universities and the area,
[12:27] Speaker 4: the Cowbells and Stark Vegas, I mean, That stuff is
[12:32] Speaker 4: all bread in our bones. And no one's going to
[12:34] Speaker 4: go inside the University of Alabama and take away their
[12:37] Speaker 4: football program, let alone the University of Washington or even
[12:41] Speaker 4: a place like UCLA or Berkeley. So we have this mismatch.
[12:45] Speaker 4: We have this incongruity of college football inside universities. And
[12:51] Speaker 4: now it's become so lucrative that nobody can hide the
[12:53] Speaker 4: money anymore. And the TV networks are battling over it
[12:57] Speaker 4: and making more and more and more and more money
[12:59] Speaker 4: every year. Eventually, will they water down the product to
[13:02] Speaker 4: where nobody wants to watch?
[13:03] Speaker 3: I don't know.
[13:05] Speaker 4: But I remember when people were saying it was the
[13:07] Speaker 4: death of college football when they got rid of the
[13:09] Speaker 4: old Southwest Conference. And oh my God, how are we
[13:12] Speaker 4: not going to have the hand signals anymore with hook'em
[13:15] Speaker 4: horns and pistols firing and guns up on the plains
[13:18] Speaker 4: of West Texas and sick'em.
[13:20] Speaker 3: Bears and all that.
[13:22] Speaker 4: I mean, and college football went to the Big 12
[13:25] Speaker 4: and continued to thrive and continues to evolve and I mean,
[13:29] Speaker 4: a couple years ago, a year ago, Oregon State football
[13:33] Speaker 4: looked like it was dead and buried forever, right? And
[13:37] Speaker 4: now look what's happening in Corvallis. They're one of the
[13:40] Speaker 4: hottest teams in the country, hottest programs in the country,
[13:42] Speaker 4: with a receiver that might take a trip to New
[13:44] Speaker 4: York City for the Heisman and Jesse Legree.
[13:48] Speaker 3: That happens fast.
[13:50] Speaker 4: Look at UCLA, the sleeping giant that they're waking up
[13:55] Speaker 4: here in town, undefeated. headed to Michigan State at home
[13:59] Speaker 4: this week. So these things change very quickly, and the
[14:04] Speaker 4: fan bases wake up very quickly, and very quickly there's
[14:07] Speaker 4: a lot of money to be made that keeps everybody
[14:09] Speaker 4: pretty much engaged regionally and nationally. So I don't think
[14:13] Speaker 4: it's the end of the world softball. I don't think
[14:15] Speaker 4: it's the best thing for the sport, but ultimately... All
[14:19] Speaker 4: these Fox and USA and NBC, they want a piece
[14:23] Speaker 4: of that pie. Joel Klatt thinks way too much of
[14:26] Speaker 4: himself to watch somebody else call the playoffs.
[14:29] Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying? You've got to give that
[14:32] Speaker 3: guy a first-round game.
[14:34] Speaker 4: Petros Papadakis is at BJ's Restaurant.
[14:39] Speaker 3: I like BJ's. What city? What town are you in? Montebello, California,
[14:44] Speaker 3: which is east Los Angeles, basically. East L.A., okay.
[14:47] Speaker 2: Well, you mentioned Oregon State. You kind of walked me
[14:50] Speaker 2: into it because I'm wondering, man, I mean, there's a
[14:52] Speaker 2: lot of teams out there that may be making coaching changes,
[14:55] Speaker 2: and I don't know if you've looked up Jamarcus Shepard's buyout.
[14:57] Speaker 2: He would only owe Oregon State $ 6 million, which is
[15:00] Speaker 2: a drop in the bucket for the big-time players out there.
[15:03] Speaker 2: If he leaves after one year, I mean, he's averaging
[15:06] Speaker 2: 45 points a game. They're 5-2 so far. They're having fun.
[15:10] Speaker 2: Take a bunch of guys with him. Do you think
[15:12] Speaker 2: Jamarcus might walk out of Corvallis after a year?
[15:14] Speaker 3: I think he might, you know.
[15:17] Speaker 4: But, I mean, I guess the parallel would be an
[15:20] Speaker 4: even more impressive job to me is Jason Eck at
[15:25] Speaker 4: New Mexico. And they have a huge game this week
[15:28] Speaker 4: against North Dakota State in Albuquerque. And that's actually one
[15:31] Speaker 4: of the great undercover games to watch this weekend in
[15:34] Speaker 4: college football. But Eck needed one more year to stay.
[15:39] Speaker 4: Of course, his son is a linebacker there, and he
[15:41] Speaker 4: brought a lot of his own players over there.
[15:43] Speaker 3: And I don't know.
[15:44] Speaker 4: I'm not really that up with the makeup of Oregon
[15:48] Speaker 4: State's roster. How many guys did he bring there? How
[15:51] Speaker 4: many people is he adherent to? But, yeah, I could
[15:54] Speaker 4: see him leaving after one year. And why wouldn't you
[15:56] Speaker 4: if you were him? I mean, the guy has generated–
[15:59] Speaker 4: an incredible amount of buzz and gotten everybody going. And
[16:03] Speaker 4: it's been really– I mean, you know how much I
[16:05] Speaker 4: love Oregon State football. So it's really special to see
[16:08] Speaker 4: them playing well and being relevant again. When guys like
[16:11] Speaker 4: Mike Parker were going to– they were going to jump
[16:14] Speaker 4: into the river with the pockets full of rocks in
[16:16] Speaker 4: the Willamette.
[16:19] Speaker 3: They kind of were. I mean, it was bad. It
[16:20] Speaker 3: was bad. I don't blame them.
[16:21] Speaker 4: They were all freaked out when they got sent to
[16:23] Speaker 4: the Pac-2 or whatever it was. So things can change quickly,
[16:28] Speaker 4: and everybody's bitching about college football because it was such
[16:31] Speaker 4: a great weekend with people losing, and they'll say, We'll
[16:34] Speaker 4: never have another great weekend like this with a 2014 playoff.
[16:37] Speaker 3: And, of course, you will.
[16:38] Speaker 4: As long as you have young men walking out and
[16:40] Speaker 4: flipping off Lane Kiffin, you're going to have that. Or
[16:43] Speaker 4: that idiot at Texas that got banned from games forever.
[16:46] Speaker 4: I mean, there's always something to enjoy. There's always going
[16:49] Speaker 4: to be a story to be told. So I try
[16:51] Speaker 4: not to overreact to all this little stuff. I don't
[16:54] Speaker 4: blame the B fans. Because it keeps on happening. We
[16:57] Speaker 4: keep having seismic change every year. and basically you just
[17:01] Speaker 4: have to, I didn't think I was ever going to
[17:02] Speaker 4: survive targeting, and when they started kicking people out for
[17:05] Speaker 4: what I used to think were clean, good football plays,
[17:08] Speaker 4: and I survived that, so if we can survive that,
[17:10] Speaker 4: we can survive anything.
[17:12] Speaker 2: Well, I don't blame Beaver fans for wanting to jump
[17:14] Speaker 2: into the Willamette when this whole thing started, man, but
[17:17] Speaker 2: Coug fans, the same thing, I'd be petrified if I
[17:21] Speaker 2: was those fan bases, but And you're right.
[17:23] Speaker 3: I mean, you mentioned targeting.
[17:25] Speaker 2: How about when they just started to introduce replay and
[17:28] Speaker 2: people lost their damn minds, right?
[17:30] Speaker 4: Yeah, and overtime. You know, when we started having to
[17:33] Speaker 4: play overtime, it was like, oh, my God, it's not over?
[17:34] Speaker 4: You know, I mean, so there's always a lot of change.
[17:38] Speaker 4: And I think if you like college football, and you
[17:41] Speaker 4: and I clearly do, we've been involved in this for
[17:44] Speaker 4: a long time and we enjoy talking about it. And
[17:46] Speaker 4: it's usually other than things that are more important culturally,
[17:50] Speaker 4: like reggae music, It's usually the platform of what you
[17:53] Speaker 4: and I discuss every week, especially this time of year.
[17:57] Speaker 4: So we love college football. And if you want to
[17:59] Speaker 4: love college football and you want to pay attention to it,
[18:01] Speaker 4: you'd better be first used to douchebags like Greg McElroy
[18:06] Speaker 4: and Kirk Herbstreet and his dog, A. And B, you'd
[18:10] Speaker 4: better learn to adapt to change. And there's certainly always
[18:14] Speaker 4: going to be a lot of that. Some fat-faced, bearded
[18:18] Speaker 4: Oregon douche, you know, in a North Face vest.
[18:21] Speaker 2: All right, go by and see Petros at BJ's in
[18:25] Speaker 2: East L.A., giving away some Petros and Money T-shirts, buttons,
[18:29] Speaker 2: bumper stickers.
[18:30] Speaker 4: No, no, we have Clipper tickets. We don't have any T-shirts.
[18:34] Speaker 4: We have Clipper tickets, Charger tickets for the 0 and
[18:37] Speaker 4: 6 Chargers. We have BJ's gift cards. All right.
[18:42] Speaker 2: Who wouldn't want a gift card for BJ's?
[18:46] Speaker 4: Well, I think they go quite a long way, especially
[18:48] Speaker 4: if you're already here at the BJ's.
[18:50] Speaker 3: All you have to do is cash in that car.
[18:52] Speaker 3: You're the best. All right. Enjoy it. Thanks for doing this.
[18:55] Speaker 3: You know what?
[18:56] Speaker 4: I would be cool with that, but I hear you
[18:57] Speaker 4: say you're the best to Kevin Harlan when you say
[18:59] Speaker 4: goodbye to him, and I hear you say it to
[19:01] Speaker 4: Florio when you say goodbye to him.
[19:02] Speaker 3: How about this? So just say it. Why don't you
[19:04] Speaker 3: suck it up?
[19:05] Speaker 4: All right.
[19:05] Speaker 3: You suck. How's that sound? Yeah. Suck it easy, softy. Weirdo.
[19:09] Speaker 3: That's Petros Papadakis. He's at BJ's. Who do the dogs
[19:12] Speaker 3: play this week? Nobody. They're on by, dork. Oh, you're
[19:16] Speaker 3: going to win for sure.
[19:17] Speaker 2: They got Nebraska next Halloween night in Lincoln.
[19:20] Speaker 3: Ooh. Yeah. Going out to Nebraska to play the.
[19:25] Speaker 4: I have so much time off in October, and I
[19:27] Speaker 4: hate it, you know, from the Fox games, and I
[19:29] Speaker 4: feel so irrelevant. But this year I picked up two
[19:32] Speaker 4: national games for Compass Media, and I did the USC-Washington
[19:36] Speaker 4: game already. You know, you and I had drinks before
[19:38] Speaker 4: that and all that. And I picked up USC-Ohio State
[19:42] Speaker 4: on Halloween night.
[19:43] Speaker 3: There you go. That's a big one. Wow.
[19:45] Speaker 4: With my radio partner, Matt Smith is going to call it.
[19:49] Speaker 4: And Tim Cates is going to be the host in studio.
[19:51] Speaker 4: So it'll be an all-Petrus and money show. Yeah, it'll
[19:54] Speaker 4: be a lot of fun.
[19:55] Speaker 2: Trojans might have a great shot at winning that game.
[19:57] Speaker 2: Julian Sayen's got the elbow injury, and they're saying he's
[20:00] Speaker 2: done for the years, though. So you better be prepared
[20:03] Speaker 2: for your boy Lincoln to make a run down there. Yeah,
[20:07] Speaker 2: I mean, can they win at Wisconsin, beat Ohio State
[20:10] Speaker 2: at home, and win at Indiana?
[20:13] Speaker 3: All three of those? They can win two of them,
[20:15] Speaker 3: for sure.
[20:16] Speaker 4: And beat Bob Chesney's UCLA team if Lincoln Riley doesn't
[20:18] Speaker 4: try to get out of it like he did Notre Dame?
[20:21] Speaker 3: The words of Petros Papadakis... Maybe. Maybe. We shall see, Softie.
[20:27] Speaker 3: Hopefully we'll be discussing it at length when it's happening.
[20:30] Speaker 3: All right. You suck. We'll talk in a week. See you.
[20:33] Speaker 2: All right.
[20:33] Speaker 3: F you, buddy.
[20:33] Speaker 4: Later.
[20:34] Speaker 3: Petros Papadakis with us on the show. We're going to break.
[20:37] Speaker 2: Text them audios 445. Kevin Harlan joins at 5 on
[20:41] Speaker 2: 93.3 KJRFM.
[20:43] Speaker 3: I bet you're going to tell him he's the best.
