[0:00] Speaker 1: You're about to listen to the Late Round Fantasy Football show,
[0:03] Speaker 1: which originally aired on YouTube. If you'd like to catch
[0:05] Speaker 1: the show live this offseason, you can head to the
[0:07] Speaker 1: Late Round Fantasy Football YouTube channel YouTube dot com slash
[0:11] Speaker 1: at Late Round FF will be live each Wednesday at
[0:15] Speaker 1: noon Eastern without further ado.
[0:18] Speaker 2: Here's this week's episode.
[0:33] Speaker 3: Welcome In. Welcome In. It's a Late Round Fantasy football
[0:37] Speaker 3: show sponsored by DraftKings. David Kitchen here COO of Late
[0:41] Speaker 3: Round Media, with my CEO JJ Zacharyeson. Jj I saw
[0:50] Speaker 3: a post on X Today and it said something along
[0:53] Speaker 3: the lines of the biggest hack in life is to
[0:58] Speaker 3: find you a manager that is a middle a girl.
[1:00] Speaker 4: Dad.
[1:01] Speaker 2: Oh really is that that? Actually?
[1:04] Speaker 1: That actually kind of probably is a very real thing.
[1:07] Speaker 1: There's more, there's more compassion. You know, they're not too
[1:10] Speaker 1: old where their life is just their job. They have
[1:14] Speaker 1: to do things outside of work. But they're raising girls
[1:18] Speaker 1: instead of boys. So there's you know, there's a little
[1:20] Speaker 1: bit more of that empathy.
[1:22] Speaker 4: There's a synath there.
[1:23] Speaker 2: Yeah, not not to say that that boy dads can't.
[1:26] Speaker 2: I'm just saying I have.
[1:27] Speaker 1: A boy and I have a girl, and my boy
[1:30] Speaker 1: is a lot more wild than my girl is that.
[1:34] Speaker 4: Uh, this is the post launch.
[1:39] Speaker 3: Era of late round media as far as we just
[1:43] Speaker 3: launched our Prospect Guide on Monday, actually Sunday night.
[1:49] Speaker 4: As is the case that we usually do, so people
[1:52] Speaker 4: have been diving into that.
[1:54] Speaker 3: I had our friend Stephen Krupka messaged me yesterday a
[1:59] Speaker 3: picture he goes to FedEx every year and gives the
[2:03] Speaker 3: guide to them and has them print it out and
[2:05] Speaker 3: put it in a binder.
[2:08] Speaker 2: I've seen people do that before.
[2:09] Speaker 1: I've also we've already gotten the request from someone to
[2:12] Speaker 1: make it an audio book, you know, an.
[2:14] Speaker 2: Audio file for the guide.
[2:16] Speaker 1: I will say the Prospect Guide is a lot easier
[2:19] Speaker 1: to do that than the Draft Guide is because the
[2:20] Speaker 1: Draft Guide is so image and chart heavy and stuff
[2:24] Speaker 1: that it's really really difficult to translate that into audio.
[2:29] Speaker 1: You could hypothetically do it for the Prospect Guide, but look,
[2:33] Speaker 1: I don't I don't want to get into that.
[2:34] Speaker 2: That's what we're already doing a lot.
[2:36] Speaker 1: It's one hundred and seventy pages of content, and I
[2:39] Speaker 1: don't have time to like to record it. Could I
[2:41] Speaker 1: get someone else to record it? I mean, let's let's
[2:44] Speaker 1: talk in a couple of years when AI is like flawless.
[2:46] Speaker 4: I was about to say, ROBOJJ is coming.
[2:48] Speaker 3: I don't want to be like I don't. I don't
[2:50] Speaker 3: want to scare people. But it's just like a perfect
[2:53] Speaker 3: use case for you reading your own draft guide but
[2:56] Speaker 3: not having to read all one hundred and seventy three
[2:59] Speaker 3: page Also, we'd have to, like, you know, the it's
[3:04] Speaker 3: not exactly the profile pages themselves are a little bit
[3:09] Speaker 3: scattered where you have like the colleges and the comps,
[3:12] Speaker 3: the player comps, the three player comps.
[3:14] Speaker 4: And the zapp score. So it's there have to be
[3:17] Speaker 4: a little bit of finagling.
[3:21] Speaker 2: Well, yeah, I mean it would be.
[3:22] Speaker 1: It would I mean, in my opinion, would be really
[3:24] Speaker 1: awkward because you just be like Jeremiah Love six foot zero,
[3:29] Speaker 1: you know, like two hundred and twelve pounds comps, Ezekiel Elliott,
[3:34] Speaker 1: b John Robinson, you know, like it like it would
[3:37] Speaker 1: just be And I get it entertaining.
[3:40] Speaker 3: But as someone who likes to oh the uh, you know,
[3:42] Speaker 3: hop the hop on the riding mower, I listened to it.
[3:46] Speaker 1: The thing is, though I've always I've always viewed the
[3:47] Speaker 1: Prospect Guide as like a reference sheet. Yes, you know,
[3:50] Speaker 1: the draft Guide, I think is one that you for
[3:53] Speaker 1: sure consoom and like like sit down, and you can
[3:56] Speaker 1: do that with the Prospect Guide too, don't get me wrong,
[3:58] Speaker 1: but you know, it's so it's so player page heavy
[4:01] Speaker 1: and stuff that I always view it as like a
[4:03] Speaker 1: you know, a year later or something, or even like
[4:05] Speaker 1: during the redraft drafts or or when you are looking
[4:09] Speaker 1: at the waiver wire and you're like, hey, is this
[4:11] Speaker 1: guy any good? You can go back to the Prospect
[4:13] Speaker 1: Guide and kind of see where things were at there,
[4:16] Speaker 1: you know, whenever that was published. But yeah, did you
[4:19] Speaker 1: see this comment? By the way, I think kitchen looks
[4:21] Speaker 1: more handsome that.
[4:22] Speaker 3: I wasn't going to bring it up, but this is,
[4:24] Speaker 3: you know, an interactive show, so during the show, after
[4:27] Speaker 3: the show, you're the thing.
[4:28] Speaker 1: The fact that they're bringing that up means that is
[4:30] Speaker 1: it Is it the default that I look more handsomely?
[4:33] Speaker 4: Maybe just the vandy hat, you know, March madness happening.
[4:36] Speaker 4: I don't know.
[4:37] Speaker 3: I feel like j JJ we talked about like the
[4:40] Speaker 3: post post launch era. You want to to kind of
[4:44] Speaker 3: fill people in on what you've been filling your your
[4:48] Speaker 3: week with, which I think just let me go on
[4:50] Speaker 3: the record, I think is well deserved.
[4:53] Speaker 2: Thank you.
[4:54] Speaker 1: Yeah, look, the the guides done I've needed. I've been working.
[4:58] Speaker 2: So I did the Agency episode those a half hour long.
[5:02] Speaker 1: On first half hour solo, which is a low Yeah,
[5:05] Speaker 1: a lot. I was sweating at the end of recording that.
[5:09] Speaker 1: But yeah, I did the you know, free agency show.
[5:10] Speaker 1: We got the mail bag later in the week. I'm
[5:12] Speaker 1: doing other shows and stuff, but there's not as many
[5:14] Speaker 1: like pressing, non weekly things going on.
[5:18] Speaker 2: And look, I game.
[5:21] Speaker 1: I'm not like a massive gamer anymore because I have
[5:23] Speaker 1: other responsibilities that that just don't allow me to sit
[5:27] Speaker 1: down and like do a lot of cool stuff. I've
[5:28] Speaker 1: never been like a huge campaign guy, more multiplayer and stuff.
[5:31] Speaker 1: But regardless, I picked up Pocopia. I did the new
[5:36] Speaker 1: Pokemon game. I back in the day played Pokemon. I
[5:39] Speaker 1: played maybe one or two in my like adult life.
[5:44] Speaker 1: I haven't been like, I'm not like really really into Pokemon,
[5:47] Speaker 1: but I played Animal Crossing. Animal cross came out during
[5:50] Speaker 1: the pandemic. It was the perfect kind of escape during
[5:53] Speaker 1: that time of of you know, the war, what was
[5:56] Speaker 1: going on in the world. I feel almost similarly right
[5:58] Speaker 1: now or just the world is crazy and Pocopia is
[6:02] Speaker 1: a mix of like Minecraft, which I didn't really play,
[6:05] Speaker 1: and an Animal Crossing, and it is phenomenal.
[6:11] Speaker 2: It's it's the.
[6:12] Speaker 1: Most addicting, fun cozy games that I've ever played, if
[6:16] Speaker 1: not just number one on that list. And yeah, yesterday
[6:20] Speaker 1: I wasn't feeling that well and so I told Godoula
[6:22] Speaker 1: and Kitchen. I was like, I'm just gonna hang out
[6:24] Speaker 1: this afternoon and not really do much work.
[6:27] Speaker 2: And I built a house in Pocopia.
[6:28] Speaker 4: That makes money. Get a switch to you know the girls.
[6:34] Speaker 4: We only have a switch. Yeah, but you know, maybe
[6:39] Speaker 4: maybe one day we can elevate to switch to.
[6:42] Speaker 3: But I also know that if I got Pacopia the
[6:45] Speaker 3: way that I am, it's just like that's why I
[6:49] Speaker 3: can't really get on video games, because I will get
[6:51] Speaker 3: I told you about my stint with Clash of Clans.
[6:54] Speaker 3: Same thing happened to the Kansas City Royals, where it
[6:56] Speaker 3: almost like derailed their season.
[6:58] Speaker 4: It almost derailed Fantasy and back in the day when
[7:01] Speaker 4: when we had that company.
[7:02] Speaker 3: So I'm just gonna stay away and I'm gonna live
[7:05] Speaker 3: vicariously through you.
[7:07] Speaker 1: This one's great because I can play and like the
[7:09] Speaker 1: family gets involved and like we all watch it or
[7:11] Speaker 1: they watch me play and like we all like see
[7:13] Speaker 1: what's going on, and it's like a it's there's the
[7:15] Speaker 1: family involvement too, But yesterday it was just straight me.
[7:18] Speaker 2: I mean I was just built and hire.
[7:19] Speaker 3: Now, all right, I want to say just thank you
[7:24] Speaker 3: to DraftKings for their sponsorship of the show. They have
[7:27] Speaker 3: the early best ball contests out there, and then that
[7:31] Speaker 3: I don't think we you know, you can use the
[7:34] Speaker 3: code that's in the description and read everything about that.
[7:38] Speaker 3: But we're going to get in a few segments. We're
[7:41] Speaker 3: gonna compare the top four as far as like the
[7:45] Speaker 3: best values compared to JJ's app model rankings with the rookies.
[7:49] Speaker 4: And the worst value compared to his rankings.
[7:53] Speaker 3: So stick around for that and again Late Round, Draft Guide,
[7:59] Speaker 3: Late Round dot Com join the membership because we got
[8:02] Speaker 3: Dynasty stuff coming. So you can go to h Late
[8:05] Speaker 3: Late Round and then hop on over to the Patreon
[8:08] Speaker 3: and with that, JJ, you ready to to get onto
[8:11] Speaker 3: the next segment.
[8:12] Speaker 2: Let's do it, all right, Today's Fantasy News.
[8:19] Speaker 4: I feel like me not being there last week.
[8:22] Speaker 3: You know, we lest we we didn't have a lot
[8:25] Speaker 3: of it'll just been the.
[8:26] Speaker 4: Free agency show. Basically, if I was.
[8:28] Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it was.
[8:29] Speaker 1: It would have been really hard to do the news
[8:30] Speaker 1: segment last week because I was gonna be doing this
[8:33] Speaker 1: show like I did the Debro Perspective episode where we
[8:36] Speaker 1: talked about the big moves in free agency and then
[8:38] Speaker 1: I talked about those plus others and the Free Agency show.
[8:41] Speaker 1: So you know, this is more of like the initial
[8:44] Speaker 1: reaction to kind of to some of the stuff, and
[8:46] Speaker 1: then you guys can get deeper analysis on the actual show.
[8:48] Speaker 1: Like the first item on today's list I will almost
[8:52] Speaker 1: definitely talk about on the Mailbag episode, but I'll at
[8:55] Speaker 1: least give you guys a teaser slash give you the
[8:57] Speaker 1: analysis here today too.
[8:58] Speaker 3: Yeah, Wattle all the way to Denver. Obviously the big
[9:01] Speaker 3: trade that we weren't really expecting. Supposedly they were working
[9:05] Speaker 3: on it during the season. But as much as we've
[9:08] Speaker 3: talked about Jalen Waddell, having the newslawy yesterday that he
[9:12] Speaker 3: was going to the Broncos was kind of crazy. Yeah,
[9:17] Speaker 3: there's lots of implications there. We'll talk about the next item.
[9:20] Speaker 3: We'll just bundle them together because we're talking about.
[9:24] Speaker 4: The Dolphins here, but report.
[9:27] Speaker 3: Today saying that a chance not available, say the Dolphins,
[9:31] Speaker 3: And I'm not sure if that's just saying, you know,
[9:34] Speaker 3: for the right price, he could be for like a
[9:36] Speaker 3: first rounder, but saying he's not available. We thought that
[9:41] Speaker 3: he was going to be traded because he was rumored
[9:43] Speaker 3: to be traded during the season, rumored to be traded
[9:46] Speaker 3: to the Seahawks, And so now they're saying he's not available,
[9:50] Speaker 3: which is, I guess is a good thing if you're
[9:52] Speaker 3: Malik Willis, because the question that we're asking ourselves is
[9:57] Speaker 3: did he know they were just stripping this.
[10:00] Speaker 4: Down all the way and you know that his leading
[10:04] Speaker 4: receiver is gonna be two two out? Well?
[10:06] Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean right now, what they have two to
[10:07] Speaker 1: two out? Well, Jalen Tolbert, Malik Washington out of the slot.
[10:11] Speaker 2: You know you Theo Weese who.
[10:13] Speaker 1: Played with Luther Burden. I remember doing his profile last year.
[10:15] Speaker 1: Tarras Marshall. It's a it's just a bunch of dudes
[10:19] Speaker 1: who either have busted or you know, we're not you know,
[10:24] Speaker 1: highly sought after prospects. So look, I want to start
[10:28] Speaker 1: with with a Chan. Since we're on the Dolphins. I've
[10:32] Speaker 1: seen some takes that like this is fine for a
[10:34] Speaker 1: Chan because he can maintain a high target share, et cetera,
[10:38] Speaker 1: or like his target share is going to go out
[10:39] Speaker 1: of control. The issue I have is like eightfold with
[10:43] Speaker 1: with with a Chan. So Han already had an amazing
[10:47] Speaker 1: target chair, which is why he was so relevant fantasy football.
[10:49] Speaker 1: He's a great running back, but but having that kind
[10:51] Speaker 1: of volume through the air is what allowed him to
[10:54] Speaker 1: be in RB one and has allowed him to be
[10:55] Speaker 1: an RB one. Now you lose the competition of Jalen
[10:59] Speaker 1: Waddle because again, target share is this giant one hundred
[11:02] Speaker 1: percent pie. So if you lose a twenty four percent
[11:05] Speaker 1: target share in Jalen Waddle, then that's more looks that
[11:08] Speaker 1: can go elsewhere, more looks going to your playmaker, which
[11:11] Speaker 1: is devon a Chan. The issue I have is that
[11:14] Speaker 1: his target shair was already very, very high. You know,
[11:17] Speaker 1: like if you're if you see a Chan last year
[11:20] Speaker 1: or the year before, and you see the situation right
[11:23] Speaker 1: now as lateral, I disagree, mostly because we have a
[11:28] Speaker 1: new coaching staff that we don't know exactly how they're
[11:31] Speaker 1: gonna want to deploy him and how well he'll fit
[11:33] Speaker 1: and what they do on the ground. We have a
[11:36] Speaker 1: new quarterback in Malik Willis, who has not thrown twenty
[11:38] Speaker 1: five pass attempts in the game throughout his career. Maybe
[11:42] Speaker 1: there's more efficiency on the ground for Chan, uh, and that.
[11:45] Speaker 2: Would be helpful.
[11:46] Speaker 1: But what I'm saying is that essentially, like I don't know,
[11:50] Speaker 1: like is there a twenty five percent target share ceiling
[11:54] Speaker 1: for a Chan in this offense? I don't know, Like
[11:57] Speaker 1: that's not something that we see outside of Christian McCaffrey
[12:00] Speaker 1: really in the NFL. And that's really the next step
[12:03] Speaker 1: that eight Chan would have to take in order to
[12:05] Speaker 1: be relevant. And then you think about the amount of
[12:09] Speaker 1: scoring that's going to be available in Miami, and there's
[12:12] Speaker 1: a question a lot.
[12:14] Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a question market quarterback right now.
[12:16] Speaker 1: And not to say that, you know, I definitively feel
[12:19] Speaker 1: one way or another about Malik Willis. I'm just saying
[12:21] Speaker 1: that we don't know what Malik Willis is. Like objectively,
[12:23] Speaker 1: he's thrown one hundred and fifty five pass attempts in
[12:25] Speaker 1: the NFL. We don't know how good or bad Malik
[12:28] Speaker 1: Willis is. And then you look at the weapons that we.
[12:30] Speaker 2: Just talked about and you're like, how on Earth?
[12:32] Speaker 1: And I'm sure they're gonna add somebody, But how on
[12:35] Speaker 1: earth is this team gonna score a lot of touchdowns?
[12:39] Speaker 1: You know, like, where is that touchdown total coming from?
[12:42] Speaker 1: We know that running backs and their success, the high
[12:45] Speaker 1: end ones especially will correlate to at least moderately good
[12:48] Speaker 1: offensive environments. You don't want bad environments, and this could
[12:51] Speaker 1: be a really bad environment for.
[12:52] Speaker 2: Devon a chance.
[12:53] Speaker 1: So I'm worried that the target chair ceiling has already
[12:57] Speaker 1: been reached or at least is close to getting and
[13:00] Speaker 1: on top of that, you have a poor offensive environment.
[13:03] Speaker 2: So this is lateral to people, I would say this
[13:06] Speaker 2: is a.
[13:06] Speaker 1: Downgrade and what's going on right now in Miami it
[13:09] Speaker 1: was a downgrade when they got Malik Willis and then
[13:12] Speaker 1: Jalen Waddle being traded. Sure you could say that that
[13:15] Speaker 1: doesn't matter that much, but overall it's not like things
[13:17] Speaker 1: are getting better for Devon agent right, Jalen Wattle going
[13:21] Speaker 1: to Denver. I've also seen some takes that this is
[13:23] Speaker 1: lateral or this isn't a great opportunity for Wattle, or
[13:28] Speaker 1: whatever the case may be, because look, Wattle in Miami
[13:31] Speaker 1: could have seen a thirty percent target chair and then offense. Right,
[13:35] Speaker 1: But I see this at this is a very classic
[13:38] Speaker 1: case of like a lot of above average to mid
[13:41] Speaker 1: wide receivers on Denver and US not wanting to assume
[13:46] Speaker 1: certain target shairs for those players. Even Courtland Sutton, he's
[13:49] Speaker 1: getting older. He's not as dominant as he used to be.
[13:52] Speaker 1: Not that he was ever like amazingly dominant, but look,
[13:57] Speaker 1: it's like, you know, the Pat Bryant of the world,
[13:59] Speaker 1: Troy Franklin. I think this hurts Troy Franklin probably most
[14:03] Speaker 1: out of that group because he's someone that started to
[14:05] Speaker 1: lose snaps towards the end of last year.
[14:07] Speaker 2: He's not the best blocker in the world.
[14:09] Speaker 1: And it seemed like Pat Bryant especially, I mean Pat
[14:11] Speaker 1: Bryant looked like he was gonna be a focal point
[14:13] Speaker 1: that one playoff.
[14:14] Speaker 2: Game before he went out in that game and got injured.
[14:17] Speaker 1: But like Pat Bryant is something that could play sort
[14:20] Speaker 1: of a slot role for them. Sutton on the outside,
[14:23] Speaker 1: Wattle can move inside out and do pretty much anything
[14:25] Speaker 1: for them. I think that's their their their base eleven personnel,
[14:29] Speaker 1: three wide receiver set. Look with the Bryant, you know,
[14:34] Speaker 1: Pat Bryant rotating more than what we would see from
[14:36] Speaker 1: like a Sutton then obviously a Wattle, But Jalen Wattle.
[14:40] Speaker 1: I mean, look, I know that two years ago I
[14:41] Speaker 1: called him out as a player to target and it
[14:43] Speaker 1: was his worst career statistically, and I got a lot
[14:45] Speaker 1: of crap for it, understandably, so it is a really
[14:47] Speaker 1: bad call. But Wattle's been below a two point one
[14:50] Speaker 1: to nine, which is what he had last year yards
[14:52] Speaker 1: pro out run rate, and only two of his five
[14:54] Speaker 1: seasons he's been at or above two point one nine,
[14:56] Speaker 1: which is incredible.
[14:57] Speaker 2: It's a that's unbelievable efficiency.
[14:59] Speaker 1: One one of them was his rookie year. One was
[15:01] Speaker 1: two years ago when that whole offense was horrific. Even
[15:03] Speaker 1: Tyreek Hill had a really bad season. From an efficiency standpoint,
[15:07] Speaker 1: He's consistently in that twenty two to twenty four percent
[15:09] Speaker 1: target share range. His targets per route run has diplowent
[15:13] Speaker 1: only twenty two percent once, which is a great number.
[15:16] Speaker 1: Had the like I said, had that one outlier year
[15:18] Speaker 1: in twenty twenty four, but he already bounced back from
[15:21] Speaker 1: that season and he can.
[15:22] Speaker 2: Win in anywhere, everywhere, all across the formation.
[15:24] Speaker 1: So I think Jalen Waddle himself as a player is
[15:27] Speaker 1: very very good Denver two straight years. Over the last
[15:30] Speaker 1: two seasons pass right over expected over zero they were
[15:34] Speaker 1: fourth top five and pass attempts rob pass attempts last season.
[15:37] Speaker 1: I'm not worried about this competition on this team. Jalen
[15:40] Speaker 1: Wattle is easily the best wide receiver in Denver right now,
[15:44] Speaker 1: Like he is easily the best talent that they have
[15:47] Speaker 1: a wide receiver. I would argue it's not that close.
[15:50] Speaker 1: I know that some people like Courtland Sutton. I've never
[15:52] Speaker 1: been like a massive Courtland Sutton dude, but he just
[15:56] Speaker 1: you know, he wins differently than Jalen Wattle. Will Wattle
[15:59] Speaker 1: can command a higher target share and such, and maybe
[16:02] Speaker 1: Sutton be more of that red zone threat for them.
[16:05] Speaker 1: I mean, I think Jalen Waddele is a tier above
[16:07] Speaker 1: Courtland Sutton in terms of just raw talent, especially at
[16:09] Speaker 1: this point and their career. So I think, you know,
[16:12] Speaker 1: in the end, good players create, good players create target share.
[16:18] Speaker 1: Jalen Wattle should be able to walk in and see
[16:19] Speaker 1: a twenty two to twenty four percent target share and
[16:22] Speaker 1: if he gets that in this offense, that could be
[16:24] Speaker 1: really effective. He's a I mean, this is an upgrade
[16:26] Speaker 1: for Jalen Waddel, I think overall, Yeah.
[16:28] Speaker 3: And we talk about draft capital. I mean, you have
[16:31] Speaker 3: to look at what the Broncos did. Yeah, they had
[16:34] Speaker 3: this room of receivers. Benjamin Sleek said that possibly they
[16:39] Speaker 3: might be able to trade Troy Franklin and Marvin mems
[16:42] Speaker 3: Now or at least put him on the block. But
[16:44] Speaker 3: they gave up a first and a third swapped fourth
[16:48] Speaker 3: round picks with the Dolphins.
[16:49] Speaker 4: But that's that's a lot of draft capital.
[16:52] Speaker 3: For, you know, for someone, so I you know, there
[16:55] Speaker 3: they plan on using him.
[16:58] Speaker 2: I think that.
[16:59] Speaker 1: So, like I compare it to like, you know, Buffalo
[17:01] Speaker 1: giving up what they give up for DJ Moore, And
[17:03] Speaker 1: I think DJ Moore fits.
[17:04] Speaker 2: Buffalo really well.
[17:05] Speaker 1: Like I like both of those players in their new
[17:07] Speaker 1: environments quite a bit for redraft purposes and season long purposes.
[17:11] Speaker 1: But I think Wattle is like any Buffalo fans out
[17:14] Speaker 1: there that are trying to cope, Like, I think Wattle
[17:16] Speaker 1: is not only that's the end of the first round,
[17:18] Speaker 1: first round pick, but but I think I think Wattle
[17:21] Speaker 1: is definitely a better.
[17:23] Speaker 2: Wide receiver than DJ Moore at this point.
[17:26] Speaker 1: And so yeah, I mean, like I understand why they
[17:29] Speaker 1: did all this, you know, I would imagine that Troy
[17:31] Speaker 1: Franklin is more of the guy that they should move
[17:33] Speaker 1: over Marvin Mims if they are moving somebody.
[17:36] Speaker 4: Just because as special teams.
[17:38] Speaker 1: Yeah, Mims does does a lot of different stuff for them,
[17:41] Speaker 1: like he's at least gadgety. Troy Franklin is someone who
[17:45] Speaker 1: I know he was putting up fantasy points and I
[17:47] Speaker 1: know that he was at one point basically getting the
[17:50] Speaker 1: best target share in that offense for like a four
[17:53] Speaker 1: week stretch last year. But there was a very clear
[17:56] Speaker 1: change in the way that they were approaching things. I
[17:58] Speaker 1: think a lot of that has to do with he's
[17:59] Speaker 1: he's a why he doesn't win against press as well,
[18:01] Speaker 1: and he doesn't block as well, and that's just not
[18:04] Speaker 1: something that they're gonna want in that offense, especially when JK.
[18:07] Speaker 1: Dobbins went down when they needed more blockers or better
[18:10] Speaker 1: blockers for.
[18:11] Speaker 2: More inexperienced running backs last season.
[18:13] Speaker 1: So you know, I think they're gonna just keep the
[18:16] Speaker 1: room as is, But we'll see what happens, because there
[18:18] Speaker 1: are obviously teams out there that need some wide receiver help,
[18:21] Speaker 1: including Miami Hollywood.
[18:23] Speaker 3: Brown moving to the Eagles, so ten million dollar, one
[18:30] Speaker 3: year deal for Hollywood Brown. Obviously, we know the Eagles
[18:33] Speaker 3: are currently in flux with AJ Brown and trade talks,
[18:38] Speaker 3: but they get they get Hollywood for a year.
[18:41] Speaker 1: Hollywood's fine. They've needed a wide receiver three forever. They've
[18:44] Speaker 1: been trying to solve that and they haven't. You know,
[18:46] Speaker 1: they had Johan Dotson who went to Atlanta and stuff
[18:48] Speaker 1: like that. I'm I'm you know, if you want to
[18:51] Speaker 1: like try to buy really really low as a throw
[18:54] Speaker 1: in in dynasty because he's already you know, he's not
[18:57] Speaker 1: done much for a while, and it's not like he's
[18:59] Speaker 1: a special. And then you say, oh, I'm going to
[19:01] Speaker 1: just gain value assuming that AJ Brown where to get traded,
[19:05] Speaker 1: Because if a J Brown gets traded, Hollywood Brown then
[19:07] Speaker 1: becomes someone that would be more valuable. You're just gaining value.
[19:11] Speaker 1: I don't think Hollywood would be a massive winner from
[19:16] Speaker 1: like a like all of a sudden, you're starting him
[19:17] Speaker 1: every week in fantasy football. If AJ Brown's gone, I
[19:20] Speaker 1: think we're just gonna because they kept Dallas Goddard. You know,
[19:24] Speaker 1: DeVante Smith I think is better than what his general time.
[19:27] Speaker 1: I mean, I feel like I have DeVante Smith as
[19:29] Speaker 1: a target and fantasy every single year at this point.
[19:32] Speaker 1: But I think Devantae Smith is a really good wide receiver,
[19:36] Speaker 1: and so I think they do too.
[19:37] Speaker 2: I think they know that.
[19:38] Speaker 1: And so you know, if Hollywood Brown is there too,
[19:41] Speaker 1: I could see like a fifteen to seventeen percent target
[19:43] Speaker 1: chair season from him as long as he stays healthy.
[19:45] Speaker 2: But and then they'll probably what's that?
[19:49] Speaker 4: So let's just hope they throw the ball this year?
[19:51] Speaker 2: Yeah, right, right? I mean different different coordinator in situations.
[19:54] Speaker 3: We'll see, say it with me jj better and best
[19:59] Speaker 3: ball better in bastball, that's right, Yeah, that's hort it
[20:01] Speaker 3: would Brown. Christian Kirk goes to the forty nine ers,
[20:04] Speaker 3: so he's joining Mike Evans there, and that Niners receive
[20:11] Speaker 3: room is gonna look a little different this year.
[20:13] Speaker 1: I don't think this is nothing with Christian Kirk there.
[20:17] Speaker 1: You know, it could signal because I think he's just
[20:19] Speaker 1: at this point in his career best served out of
[20:21] Speaker 1: the slot. He's had his moments, he had his moments
[20:23] Speaker 1: in the playoffs. You know, if you look at what
[20:25] Speaker 1: they have healthy, uh, it's you know, George Kittle's more
[20:29] Speaker 1: than likely not gonna be ready to start the year,
[20:31] Speaker 1: or at least one hundred percent, and then you know
[20:33] Speaker 1: you have Mike Evans, Ricky Piersall, and you know Jawan
[20:36] Speaker 1: Jennings is not there at the moment, and so you're
[20:39] Speaker 1: really staring at like Christian Kirk could be their starting
[20:42] Speaker 1: slot to kick off the year, and I think peer
[20:45] Speaker 1: Sall's an inside out guy, so you can get creative there.
[20:48] Speaker 1: And Kirk Kirk fits the Kyle Shanahan yak, you know,
[20:52] Speaker 1: kind of kind of player that he always kind of
[20:54] Speaker 1: strives for and gets. So I think it makes sense
[20:57] Speaker 1: from a fit perspective. And obviously it's a pretty good environment,
[21:01] Speaker 1: so you know, it's again you could throw a dart
[21:03] Speaker 1: and best ball.
[21:04] Speaker 2: That's really what this kind of signing is.
[21:06] Speaker 1: This isn't a you know, Adam from a season long perspective.
[21:09] Speaker 1: And by the way, the stuff that I talked about
[21:11] Speaker 1: on the free agency episode, I think it needs to
[21:14] Speaker 1: be clear that that was more from a season long
[21:16] Speaker 1: redraft perspective. Like the base Shall Tuton Chris Rodriguez discussion.
[21:20] Speaker 1: Base Shall Tuton is the by far the season long
[21:23] Speaker 1: upside kind of guy where even if you miss, you
[21:26] Speaker 1: can make up for it, and such, Chris Rodriguez might
[21:28] Speaker 1: be the better value from a best ball perspective, because
[21:31] Speaker 1: you're gonna get some production, you know, late in your draft.
[21:34] Speaker 4: And that that's big a few spike weeks from him.
[21:37] Speaker 2: Yeah yeah.
[21:38] Speaker 1: And and because like I think the most likely outcome
[21:40] Speaker 1: is a committee in that in that backfield, but the
[21:42] Speaker 1: ceiling outcome is easily base shall Tuton between the two.
[21:46] Speaker 1: But that's again, like Christian Kirk very unlikely to be
[21:49] Speaker 1: someone in season long that we're gonna be plucking and
[21:51] Speaker 1: playing each week.
[21:53] Speaker 4: Yeah, what about this one? Justin Field's going to the Chiefs.
[21:59] Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, I mean I think it's like a long
[22:04] Speaker 3: pause because people don't know what to think about this.
[22:06] Speaker 1: When I saw it go down, my initial thought was, Okay,
[22:09] Speaker 1: Patrick Mahomes obviously had the ACL last year. They want
[22:13] Speaker 1: to have like a veteran that could play behind him,
[22:16] Speaker 1: that could step in. I saw some people be like,
[22:18] Speaker 1: why wouldn't they get Kirk Cousins. Well, I think that
[22:20] Speaker 1: they ideally would want to have someone in development too
[22:22] Speaker 1: that they could feel confident in that's younger and such,
[22:26] Speaker 1: and that could be dynamic.
[22:27] Speaker 2: And obviously Justin Fields is that, just like Fields is.
[22:30] Speaker 1: Capable of doing big things in an individual game environment.
[22:34] Speaker 2: The problem with Justin Fields is the consistency.
[22:37] Speaker 1: Game in game out, you know, and him doing that
[22:39] Speaker 1: across the entirety of a season and such like.
[22:42] Speaker 2: We know that he can win games with his legs and.
[22:44] Speaker 1: It's not like he can't complete a pass, and so
[22:47] Speaker 1: I think the Chiefs see that, and obviously he's a
[22:49] Speaker 1: dynamic player. And the other thing too, signing Fields instead
[22:52] Speaker 1: of a guy like Cousins, you could hypothetically have special
[22:55] Speaker 1: packages for Justin Fields and and Andy Reid and.
[23:00] Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, someone said triple option with with Mahomes, Fields
[23:04] Speaker 3: and Kenth Walker.
[23:06] Speaker 4: Just just imagine the possibilities there. Yeah. Oh right, Darnald
[23:12] Speaker 4: Mooney to the Giants.
[23:13] Speaker 2: I like missed this.
[23:15] Speaker 3: I went back through our channel, you know, in the
[23:19] Speaker 3: the Discord, we have our news and rumors channel. I
[23:22] Speaker 3: was like, oh, I totally missed this signing. So Darnall
[23:24] Speaker 3: Movie Mooney goes to the Giants this year.
[23:27] Speaker 2: Yeah, deep threat for them.
[23:29] Speaker 1: You know, he's like another type of like Darius Slayton
[23:32] Speaker 1: type player for them. But yeah, I like, I mean,
[23:35] Speaker 1: I don't want to bring up Darnell Mooney too much
[23:36] Speaker 1: on this show anymore. After telling people last year in
[23:40] Speaker 1: season like three weeks in a row to pick.
[23:41] Speaker 2: Him up and then he did absolutely nothing.
[23:43] Speaker 1: But I still think that he can play like a
[23:45] Speaker 1: down the field role in that offense, and there's really
[23:47] Speaker 1: no obvious two in that offense.
[23:50] Speaker 2: So it's a little bit intriguing from that perspective.
[23:53] Speaker 3: Okay, let's look at some available still available free agents.
[23:58] Speaker 3: So I've got him listed here. I thought caliber Ridley
[24:00] Speaker 3: was gonna be on this list, but he took a
[24:02] Speaker 3: pay cut to stay with Tennessee, which was, yeah, he knows.
[24:05] Speaker 2: That the Titans are super Bowl bound. Baby.
[24:07] Speaker 3: He saw those jerseys and he was like, yeah, I'm
[24:11] Speaker 3: not going anywhere. You cut my price tag, my cap
[24:14] Speaker 3: hit by eleven million, I'll be I'll be good Quarterbacks.
[24:17] Speaker 3: You saw Kirk Cousins and Aaron Rodgers. Assuming Aaron Rodgers
[24:21] Speaker 3: right now goes to the Steelers.
[24:24] Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm assuming. I'm assuming Rogers will be a Steeler.
[24:28] Speaker 3: Uh.
[24:28] Speaker 4: And then receivers, we have Tyreek Hill, Stefon Diggs, Deebo.
[24:31] Speaker 3: Samuel, and Juwan Jennings. I don't know if like Ayuka
[24:36] Speaker 3: is gonna be in this list.
[24:37] Speaker 1: The only the only person that surprises me a little
[24:40] Speaker 1: bit there is Juwan just because yeah, I mean remember
[24:43] Speaker 1: last year he was like he was like hoping to
[24:45] Speaker 1: get a big contract and stuff.
[24:46] Speaker 4: Yeah, huge contract is coming right off.
[24:48] Speaker 1: The Super Bowl, And yeah, I think I think Juwan
[24:50] Speaker 1: Jennings is a good player, but he's not like take
[24:54] Speaker 1: over the game type player. You know, he's always gonna
[24:57] Speaker 1: have separation issues and such. But like Debo and Stefan Diggs,
[25:01] Speaker 1: Tyreek Kill coming off the injury, they're all kind of
[25:03] Speaker 1: over the hill.
[25:04] Speaker 2: At this point.
[25:05] Speaker 1: And I think, you know, if you look at the
[25:07] Speaker 1: last like five to ten years in the way that
[25:09] Speaker 1: especially wide receiver has sort of played out, you do
[25:12] Speaker 1: generally see some of these veterans sign later in the
[25:15] Speaker 1: process then then right away Juwan's Juan's the only one.
[25:18] Speaker 1: Like I wouldn't be shocked if he's a one of
[25:22] Speaker 1: the Dolphins go tos or if Deebo is one of
[25:24] Speaker 1: those players.
[25:27] Speaker 2: Just because you know they need they need something. It's
[25:29] Speaker 2: just a.
[25:30] Speaker 1: Matter of at this point in their careers, what's going
[25:33] Speaker 1: to be important for them?
[25:34] Speaker 2: Is it?
[25:35] Speaker 1: Is it that Like I think from Jetting's perspective, it
[25:37] Speaker 1: would be money, because it's not like he's been highly
[25:41] Speaker 1: sought after and touted throughout his career and so therefore
[25:45] Speaker 1: maybe the Dolphins can offer him something to be their one,
[25:49] Speaker 1: you know, this year, to get them something, whereas the
[25:52] Speaker 1: other guys might be might be searching for that ring.
[25:55] Speaker 3: Yeah, he hasn't had like a huge contract, and so
[26:00] Speaker 3: he's I think he's going to be searching for some
[26:03] Speaker 3: for some cash.
[26:04] Speaker 1: Which, by the way, which by the shout out friend
[26:06] Speaker 1: of the Show Kendrick Bourne for his new new team
[26:08] Speaker 1: in Arizona and signing a contract there.
[26:11] Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, yeah, that's what we were talking about.
[26:16] Speaker 3: As far as Malik willis, he had the option to
[26:18] Speaker 3: go to the Cardinals or the Dolphins, And to me,
[26:23] Speaker 3: it's like, if you had the option and you were
[26:26] Speaker 3: in like winning or like your environment was important, I'd
[26:30] Speaker 3: want to go to the Cardinals because at least they
[26:33] Speaker 3: have past catching options there.
[26:34] Speaker 4: Friend of the Show, MHJ.
[26:37] Speaker 3: Trey McBride, you know, like they there's at least options
[26:41] Speaker 3: there in Arizona.
[26:42] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I mean maybe, I I mean, I think
[26:45] Speaker 1: both franchises are are kind of you know, in the
[26:48] Speaker 1: Crapper at the moment.
[26:49] Speaker 3: So yeah, I'm just saying one one Crapper seems to
[26:53] Speaker 3: be a lot crappier.
[26:54] Speaker 4: Than the other.
[26:55] Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, agreed, uh that.
[26:59] Speaker 3: Calvin Ridley though, when he stayed with the Titans. Does
[27:02] Speaker 3: that make you bullish on the Titans passing attack this year?
[27:09] Speaker 2: I wouldn't say bullish. It's probably probably a little too
[27:13] Speaker 2: strong over.
[27:14] Speaker 4: You don't know if you're coming around to things so fine.
[27:17] Speaker 1: I think cam Ward would might end up being like
[27:19] Speaker 1: a late round Darth yeah this year, because I just
[27:22] Speaker 1: care care about mobility. Like quarterback is so deep that
[27:26] Speaker 1: you're gonna get Malik Willis relatively late, You're gonna get
[27:28] Speaker 1: cam Ward relatively late. I think Malik Willis is a
[27:31] Speaker 1: much better obviously, Like Malik Willis is like potentially maybe
[27:36] Speaker 1: this is too hot, potentially like prolific as a rusher, right,
[27:40] Speaker 1: Like I'm not saying that, like that's what's gonna come
[27:44] Speaker 1: out and what we're gonna see, but that floor because remember,
[27:48] Speaker 1: rushing at quarterback in fantasy is about floor, not ceiling.
[27:51] Speaker 2: You need the passing for a ceiling to.
[27:52] Speaker 1: Hit floor will get you Turell Pryor and Tim Tebow
[27:55] Speaker 1: and stuff like that that we saw throughout the the
[27:57] Speaker 1: mid twenty tens. Ceiling what we've seen from these Unicorns
[28:01] Speaker 1: recently as the Josh Allens Lamar Jackson's where they're putting
[28:04] Speaker 1: up seven percent touchdown rates on top of having these
[28:07] Speaker 1: crazy rushing numbers and finding the end zone so much.
[28:09] Speaker 1: I think Malik Willis can do the rushing side. Can
[28:12] Speaker 1: he do the passing side? I don't know, but I'm
[28:14] Speaker 1: willing to throw that dart because why wouldn't we again?
[28:16] Speaker 1: Season long redraftick although it's mostly the same, probably in
[28:20] Speaker 1: Bestball too.
[28:21] Speaker 3: Hashtag layer on QB says joebol Bondi and Thomas Scotti. Translation, JJ,
[28:27] Speaker 3: please say something nice about the Titans.
[28:29] Speaker 4: Yes, that's what it was. I am all for these mocks.
[28:32] Speaker 3: That have Jeremiah Love going to the Titans. I know
[28:35] Speaker 3: it's a lot at number four to draft a running back.
[28:38] Speaker 1: It's a lot for that particular franchise in my opinion.
[28:42] Speaker 3: Ye, yes, but it'd be fun. And that's kind of
[28:46] Speaker 3: where I'm at right now. Let's just have some fun. Sure,
[28:50] Speaker 3: let's have some fun with today's data as well.
[28:53] Speaker 2: Today's data.
[28:57] Speaker 3: All right, we got best and worst ZAP values versus
[29:01] Speaker 3: DraftKings average draft position. So we mentioned earlier DraftKings has
[29:05] Speaker 3: the they have the early best ball and so this
[29:07] Speaker 3: is before the draft has kicked off a million dollars
[29:12] Speaker 3: for this contest, and right now people are just they're
[29:15] Speaker 3: throwing darts and they are assuming. You know, things change
[29:19] Speaker 3: like the Wattle trade that would change ADP draft is
[29:23] Speaker 3: going to change ADP as far as before and after.
[29:28] Speaker 3: But JJ, you took your ZAP values and compare them
[29:31] Speaker 3: to these ADPs.
[29:32] Speaker 1: Yeah, I have the ZAP categories for these guys, and
[29:35] Speaker 1: then I have my positional ranks and my rankings. Then
[29:37] Speaker 1: I'm showing the delta the difference between my positional rankings
[29:41] Speaker 1: and where DraftKings ADP currently has them. The biggest player
[29:45] Speaker 1: where there's the biggest difference is Antonio Williams. So Antonio
[29:49] Speaker 1: Williams coming out of Clemson was productive every year there,
[29:53] Speaker 1: but never ultra productive.
[29:55] Speaker 2: And more than likely.
[29:57] Speaker 1: Uh is a is a slot player at the NFL level,
[30:00] Speaker 1: and that definitely, you know, I've written talked about a
[30:03] Speaker 1: lot of that this offseason. I wrote about in newsletters
[30:08] Speaker 1: about the slot player kind of disappearing from the game.
[30:12] Speaker 1: But in the right environment, number one, maybe he could
[30:15] Speaker 1: be a little bit more. But number two, if a
[30:18] Speaker 1: team runs a lot of eleven personnel, I think that
[30:19] Speaker 1: he can make an impact. His top comp in the
[30:21] Speaker 1: model was actually Lad Mconkee. Now that doesn't mean that
[30:24] Speaker 1: he is Lad, but it is saying not only that,
[30:28] Speaker 1: but the model wasn't like, didn't hate Lad the new
[30:31] Speaker 1: iterations and stuff.
[30:31] Speaker 2: It didn't like love mconky.
[30:34] Speaker 1: But the weird thing with Antonio Williams right now, you
[30:38] Speaker 1: can see my positional rank as eleventh a wide receiver
[30:40] Speaker 1: for him, and he's ranked nineteenth by ADP right now,
[30:45] Speaker 1: So all the zapp scores in my rankings are going
[30:47] Speaker 1: to be anchored by projected draft capital. Right now in
[30:50] Speaker 1: NFL mock draft database, he's a top seventy overall pick.
[30:53] Speaker 1: He's he's projected to go after Malachi Fields before Elijah Surrat,
[30:59] Speaker 1: who people have way above him. Understand I love Surat
[31:02] Speaker 1: so understandably, so above Skylar Bell, above Bryce Lance. I mean,
[31:06] Speaker 1: there's there's a lot of players that people like. Then
[31:09] Speaker 1: Antonio Williams is projected to be drafted ahead of We'll
[31:11] Speaker 1: see what happens, but I do think that you should
[31:14] Speaker 1: be leveraging a lot of the mock draft resources out
[31:17] Speaker 1: there when you're doing these early best ball drafts, because
[31:20] Speaker 1: you could be drafting players like Eric McAllister, for instance,
[31:23] Speaker 1: who the that Moodel likes a lot like McAllister has
[31:27] Speaker 1: one of the best breakout scores in this class. But
[31:30] Speaker 1: I don't know if McAllister is going to be a
[31:32] Speaker 1: Day two pick, and if he's a Day three pick,
[31:35] Speaker 1: then I mean it's it's rough, right.
[31:37] Speaker 2: There's some off the field stuff.
[31:38] Speaker 1: I didn't even write about this in the in the guide,
[31:41] Speaker 1: but there's some small off the field stuff that that
[31:44] Speaker 1: might be driving that cost down a little bit. But
[31:46] Speaker 1: if he's a Day three pick, we don't see wide
[31:48] Speaker 1: receivers very frequently give us much usability, especially as rookies
[31:53] Speaker 1: out of Day three. So McAllister being one of those
[31:55] Speaker 1: players where right now I have him ranked four spots
[31:58] Speaker 1: lower than where he's he's going. Let's go back to
[32:00] Speaker 1: the favorable guys.
[32:01] Speaker 2: Ted Hurst.
[32:02] Speaker 1: I have him seven wide receiver spots ahead. This is
[32:05] Speaker 1: more of a I think like I actually think ted
[32:09] Speaker 1: Hurst could be better in best ball. He's he's a
[32:10] Speaker 1: deep threat, he's a down the field player, perimeter player.
[32:14] Speaker 2: One of his three.
[32:14] Speaker 1: Comps was Nico Collins, but he's leaner than Collins. Collins
[32:17] Speaker 1: a little bit beefier that than ted Hurst is but Hurst,
[32:21] Speaker 1: you know, coming from a smaller school, I get a
[32:24] Speaker 1: little bit afraid of that because we don't generally see
[32:27] Speaker 1: many hits from small school wide receivers. But in this class,
[32:31] Speaker 1: in this draft class, you get a lot of like
[32:33] Speaker 1: mediocre profiles once you get outside of the top six
[32:35] Speaker 1: or seven wide receivers. And I'm willing to place that
[32:38] Speaker 1: bet On Hurst at wide receiver ten right now versus
[32:41] Speaker 1: wide receiver seventeen via draftings ADP Chris Belt.
[32:46] Speaker 2: Chris Belt, what were we gonna say?
[32:47] Speaker 3: I was just gonna say that with these ADPs of
[32:50] Speaker 3: like Antonio Williams, Ted Hurst, and Chris Bell, they're in
[32:53] Speaker 3: the two thirties right now, which is basically in the
[32:56] Speaker 3: twentieth round.
[32:58] Speaker 4: Yeah, so they are there free.
[33:00] Speaker 3: And what this is also saying with the two thirties
[33:02] Speaker 3: is that there are some drafts that they are not
[33:04] Speaker 3: being drafted at all. To talk about like unique, having
[33:09] Speaker 3: some of these guys being on your team would set
[33:12] Speaker 3: you up for potential success during the season.
[33:14] Speaker 1: One thing I'll say about Chris Bell, and I wanted
[33:17] Speaker 1: to keep him on here because I just wanted to
[33:18] Speaker 1: go with a process. To show you the difference between
[33:20] Speaker 1: my is that Bell is coming off in ACL, so
[33:24] Speaker 1: I do think that you can largely ignore him from
[33:27] Speaker 1: a draft perspective if you want to, because we don't
[33:31] Speaker 1: know when he's going to.
[33:32] Speaker 2: Actually be healthy enough to play.
[33:33] Speaker 1: But Bell right now has a fifty fourth overall draft
[33:37] Speaker 1: capital tag on a NFL mock draft database, so he's
[33:40] Speaker 1: he's in a spot where he's likely to go Day two.
[33:43] Speaker 1: I don't love Chris Bell. I don't hate him. He's
[33:45] Speaker 1: just another one of those like bigger bodied out outside
[33:49] Speaker 1: perimeter receivers, but he does have a little bit more
[33:52] Speaker 1: to his build than some of the other guys, like
[33:54] Speaker 1: a Chris Brazzle or you know, a Ted Hurst who
[33:56] Speaker 1: I talked about, a Jacobe Lane, those players that are
[33:59] Speaker 1: a little bit leaner. Chris Bell has a little bit
[34:01] Speaker 1: more bulk to him, which might intrigue a team, which
[34:04] Speaker 1: might rise his his draft capital a little bit. But
[34:07] Speaker 1: you got to you gotta watch out for him because
[34:08] Speaker 1: of the injury. And then at running back, I have
[34:10] Speaker 1: Emma Johnson at RB two in this class right now.
[34:14] Speaker 2: That can change.
[34:15] Speaker 1: That probably will change because there's a lot of variability
[34:19] Speaker 1: in there, but right now he's RB five over on DraftKings,
[34:22] Speaker 1: but one thing I'll say is DraftKings is a full
[34:24] Speaker 1: PPR site, and Emma Johnson is probably the best pass
[34:27] Speaker 1: catching running back in this class. So there's a very
[34:29] Speaker 1: real chance that especially if he it's Day two draft capital,
[34:32] Speaker 1: I don't know if he will, but early day three,
[34:34] Speaker 1: even if he's a round four pick, you know, he
[34:37] Speaker 1: could play some sort of pass catching role to start
[34:39] Speaker 1: the season if he finds the right spot. So I
[34:41] Speaker 1: like Emma Johnson as a as a player, as a prospect,
[34:45] Speaker 1: and the fact that he's three, you know, I'm three
[34:46] Speaker 1: spots ahead. That high in a rankings list is pretty significant.
[34:50] Speaker 1: And then on the bad and I already talked about
[34:51] Speaker 1: Eric McCallister, Zach Branch, who I've talked about a lot
[34:55] Speaker 1: on shows. He's a gadgety player who might be better
[34:59] Speaker 1: in best So I can understand this to a degree.
[35:02] Speaker 1: I'm just not in love with the profile. This is
[35:04] Speaker 1: a profile where you know, he got a lot of
[35:07] Speaker 1: looks behind the line of scrimmage, a lot of manufactured stuff.
[35:10] Speaker 1: And if you look at history, this is in the
[35:12] Speaker 1: Prospect Guide, but if you look at history, players who've
[35:15] Speaker 1: been drafted on Day two with this kind of just
[35:17] Speaker 1: in general, actually, but in day two in particular, with
[35:20] Speaker 1: this kind of usage, the only guys that have really
[35:22] Speaker 1: hit over the last five or six years has been
[35:25] Speaker 1: Luther Burden and Wandel Robinson. But both of them had
[35:27] Speaker 1: way better age Ajustine production than Zach Branch. Did You
[35:30] Speaker 1: You're gonna get guys like Anthony Schwartz, like Rondel Moore
[35:33] Speaker 1: rest in Peace. You know, like just a lot of
[35:36] Speaker 1: players who were decent in college, had a lot of
[35:40] Speaker 1: speed and ability, but they were on the smaller side
[35:43] Speaker 1: and they didn't find the right team to really maximize
[35:46] Speaker 1: that gadgetiness to their game. And I think that that's
[35:48] Speaker 1: what we have was Zach Branch, where like his top
[35:51] Speaker 1: comp is me Cole Hardman.
[35:52] Speaker 2: That's another example I could have thrown out there.
[35:54] Speaker 1: But like the you know, like I would not be
[35:56] Speaker 1: shocked at all if the Chiefs really like Zach Branch,
[35:59] Speaker 1: because this is just the archetype that they seem to
[36:02] Speaker 1: enjoy going after, whether it be Mikol Hardman or ending
[36:06] Speaker 1: up with Kadarius Tony, who's another player that would profile
[36:09] Speaker 1: as this kind of kind of guy.
[36:11] Speaker 2: He just scares me from a production perspective.
[36:14] Speaker 1: Jacobe Lane, lanky outside perimeter receiver, find enough production profile,
[36:19] Speaker 1: but I didn't think he had anything special to his game.
[36:22] Speaker 1: I'm five spots below and then Bryce Lance. Now I
[36:25] Speaker 1: think I subjectively might like Bryce Lance a little bit
[36:28] Speaker 1: more than what the ZAP model is showing, but it's
[36:31] Speaker 1: he's getting a lot of steam. People really like Bryce Lance,
[36:34] Speaker 1: and I think there's a lot of things that are
[36:36] Speaker 1: at play here. Number One, he's unbelievably athletic. Number Two,
[36:40] Speaker 1: he's coming from the same school that Christian Watson came from,
[36:42] Speaker 1: and Christian Watson obviously has moderately hit, and he's at
[36:46] Speaker 1: least like a big play threat that's great in best Ball,
[36:49] Speaker 1: and so we're making that direct comp There's also the
[36:51] Speaker 1: story of him being Trey Lance's brother, which might.
[36:54] Speaker 4: Say the family dynamic.
[36:55] Speaker 1: Yeah, get him on people's radars, but there's a lot
[36:58] Speaker 1: of red flags. Who was an a litle profile. He
[37:00] Speaker 1: didn't produce until after three years in college, like he
[37:03] Speaker 1: did nothing, literally like nothing. And then he's older, he's
[37:07] Speaker 1: an older prospect, and the combination of all that, he
[37:09] Speaker 1: is a breakout score of zero. He just didn't register
[37:12] Speaker 1: it because his adjusted receiving yards for team pass attempt
[37:15] Speaker 1: never got high enough at.
[37:16] Speaker 2: The right age.
[37:17] Speaker 1: So he you know, he did give us crazy production
[37:20] Speaker 1: towards the end of his collegiate career, but it was
[37:22] Speaker 1: a little bit too late just given his age, and
[37:23] Speaker 1: then you adjusted down based on the program strength.
[37:26] Speaker 2: It just it's a very very volatile profile.
[37:30] Speaker 1: And when I'm approaching the draft, like pre draft, I
[37:34] Speaker 1: don't want to put a very volatile profile very high
[37:37] Speaker 1: in my rankings until I see landing spot in draft
[37:40] Speaker 1: capital officially, you know, I'll play it a little bit safer,
[37:43] Speaker 1: which is why I think, like in Antonio Williams, who
[37:45] Speaker 1: I think can play in a lot of spots aside
[37:47] Speaker 1: from you know, the eleven personnel stuff that I talked about,
[37:49] Speaker 1: he's at least a safe bet as a player, like
[37:51] Speaker 1: we generally know what we're getting from him, or like
[37:53] Speaker 1: I think ted Hurst can work almost anywhere.
[37:56] Speaker 2: And so that's that's my stance on bred Lance right now.
[38:00] Speaker 1: I mean, Deebro really likes him, and I respect the
[38:03] Speaker 1: crap out of Debro and the work that he does,
[38:05] Speaker 1: and he talked him up last week on perspectives and
[38:08] Speaker 1: so like there's a lot and I know that like
[38:10] Speaker 1: Brugler seems to like Lance and so like, there's a
[38:13] Speaker 1: lot of people that are on Lance that I, you know,
[38:16] Speaker 1: approve of as analysts that I'm I'm that I enjoy
[38:19] Speaker 1: as analysts, and so yeah, that makes me think a
[38:21] Speaker 1: little bit differently. And this is the thing with the
[38:24] Speaker 1: player like Lance, and this is more dynasty and rookie
[38:27] Speaker 1: draft focus. But with a player like Lance, I'm fine
[38:31] Speaker 1: with you like spending a third or a fourth round
[38:34] Speaker 1: pick on a player like this. You know, it's when
[38:36] Speaker 1: the hype train does get you know, or at least
[38:38] Speaker 1: a lot of people start to back the guy, and
[38:40] Speaker 1: then his adp rises and then you know he's overdrafted
[38:44] Speaker 1: because of the athleticism. We know historically that those kinds
[38:47] Speaker 1: of players have screwed us in the past, and I
[38:49] Speaker 1: don't want to get screwed. I think that he's the
[38:51] Speaker 1: right upside play. So sure, you know, in best ball,
[38:55] Speaker 1: if you want to throw that dart, be my guest.
[38:57] Speaker 1: But I do think there's a lot of red flags
[38:59] Speaker 1: of his profile.
[39:00] Speaker 3: And speaking of volatile, let's get onto today's main event.
[39:06] Speaker 2: It's the late round main event, all right.
[39:12] Speaker 3: We've got favorite twenty twenty six draft comps and this
[39:16] Speaker 3: is for the rookie running backs. JJ, do you want
[39:19] Speaker 3: to give us just a just a brief overview of this?
[39:23] Speaker 1: Yeah, So all I'm gonna do this is just for fun, really, like,
[39:26] Speaker 1: this is just for fun comps. Comps in general, in
[39:30] Speaker 1: my opinion, get thrown out too loosely oftentimes, Like I
[39:34] Speaker 1: could rant about player comps for days, but like you know,
[39:37] Speaker 1: a lot of times people are skewing towards like successful
[39:42] Speaker 1: players in the NFL. So they see some of the
[39:44] Speaker 1: comps in the Prospect Guide and they're like, well, I thought,
[39:46] Speaker 1: Jordan Tyson, why Jordan Tyson one of his three comps
[39:48] Speaker 1: is Corey Davis. Corey Davis sucked, and Jordan Tyson's a
[39:51] Speaker 1: legendary performer. Why are things looking the way they're looking.
[39:54] Speaker 1: They're they're looking the way they're looking, Because it's just
[39:56] Speaker 1: trying to be realistic, like we you're not going to
[39:58] Speaker 1: only get hits out of unless you're Jeremiah Love. He
[40:01] Speaker 1: has basically like three really good comps overall, but you know,
[40:06] Speaker 1: like generally speaking, you're gonna have bad comps for players.
[40:09] Speaker 2: It's just the way that it is.
[40:10] Speaker 1: So what I did though for this and the way
[40:13] Speaker 1: that my comps are generated, So people know, it's like
[40:16] Speaker 1: a distance formula. So it's the equivalent of like, okay,
[40:19] Speaker 1: this guy, and like certain certain factors are weighed a
[40:21] Speaker 1: little bit more so think about height and weight. Those
[40:24] Speaker 1: are weighed fairly heavily, but a player could have a
[40:28] Speaker 1: little bit different of a weight, let's say, or a
[40:30] Speaker 1: height let's say, if the production metrics really line up
[40:34] Speaker 1: and are really really tight. So what it's doing is
[40:37] Speaker 1: is calculating the distance from you know, with adjusted yards
[40:40] Speaker 1: per team player running back or a reception share, and
[40:42] Speaker 1: it's saying, Okay, this is the closest comp based on
[40:45] Speaker 1: the things that you're valuing height and weight and some
[40:48] Speaker 1: of this stuff, and some of the production metrics, but
[40:50] Speaker 1: like how you're valuing them from a hierarchy standpoint, and
[40:53] Speaker 1: it's saying, this is the closest comp based on all
[40:55] Speaker 1: of those things.
[40:55] Speaker 2: So when you see.
[40:56] Speaker 1: Certain heights and weights that aren't total, although I think
[40:59] Speaker 1: the ones Ontoday Show are all pretty on point, but
[41:02] Speaker 1: you know, I think like like Ezekiel Elliott was a
[41:04] Speaker 1: comp for Jeremiah Love, for instance, and he was like
[41:07] Speaker 1: twelve or thirteen pounds heavier at the combine, but their
[41:10] Speaker 1: production metrics were really really similar, which is why that
[41:14] Speaker 1: was one of his comps. But I have another comp
[41:16] Speaker 1: for Jeremiah Love on today's show. So with all that
[41:19] Speaker 1: being said, these are all analytical comps. They're all in
[41:22] Speaker 1: the model right sorry, in the Prospect Guide, and they're
[41:24] Speaker 1: from and they stem from the ZAP model.
[41:27] Speaker 2: Jonah Coleman, who is not getting much.
[41:31] Speaker 1: Hype right now because he's done no testing and we
[41:34] Speaker 1: just don't know how fast he is. Jonah cole I
[41:37] Speaker 1: think he just had his pro day, but I don't
[41:39] Speaker 1: think that he ran. Jonah Coleman right now is a
[41:42] Speaker 1: fringe top one hundred pick in the NFL draft. I
[41:45] Speaker 1: think if he goes down like I love his production profile,
[41:47] Speaker 1: it's actually pretty good. If he goes on day two,
[41:51] Speaker 1: he could be my RB two in this class realistically.
[41:54] Speaker 2: But he's small.
[41:55] Speaker 1: You know, you can see right here he's he's you
[41:57] Speaker 1: have Doug Doug Martin again, rest in peace, Doug Martin.
[42:00] Speaker 1: But Muscle Hampster was five nine to twenty three when
[42:03] Speaker 1: he was playing and came out. Jonah Coleman is five
[42:06] Speaker 1: eight two twenty so very similar. Size is these shorter, stouter, strong,
[42:12] Speaker 1: wrecking balls if you will, of running backs reception share
[42:16] Speaker 1: for Jonah Coleman thirteen point two percent in his best season.
[42:19] Speaker 1: That's adjusted reception share. Doug Martin nine point four percent
[42:22] Speaker 1: is not quite as high. And then adjusted yards per
[42:24] Speaker 1: team play one point sixty eight versus one point seven three.
[42:28] Speaker 1: Martin is likely more athletic, like I said, and Martin
[42:31] Speaker 1: was more prolific on the ground, which is why you
[42:34] Speaker 1: see the adjusted yards per team play as being fairly comparable,
[42:38] Speaker 1: but the reception share best season reception share not as comparable.
[42:42] Speaker 1: So those are kind of the call out metrics that
[42:45] Speaker 1: the model was seeing when making that comp. It's very
[42:49] Speaker 1: hard for a player who's five foot eight, two hundred
[42:52] Speaker 1: and twenty pounds to have very clear comps because there's
[42:56] Speaker 1: not many players since twenty eleven that have come out
[42:58] Speaker 1: at that size. So I actually thought that the Doug
[43:00] Speaker 1: Martin comp was fairly on point all things considered.
[43:05] Speaker 3: Yeah, I saw where Jonah Coleman obviously, you know he
[43:09] Speaker 3: said a U dub guy, Washington guy, but he made
[43:13] Speaker 3: a visit yesterday to the Seahawks.
[43:16] Speaker 2: Yeah, fun, Jonah.
[43:17] Speaker 1: Coleman and Seattle would be easily the RB two because
[43:20] Speaker 1: that would mean that they probably spend a day two
[43:22] Speaker 1: pick and there's an opening.
[43:24] Speaker 3: There and they need running back right now for sure.
[43:28] Speaker 3: All right, let's get on to the next one. This
[43:31] Speaker 3: guy has had some a little bit of hype this
[43:33] Speaker 3: this year.
[43:34] Speaker 4: Mike Washington.
[43:36] Speaker 1: Yeah, so I mentioned this one on perspectives last week.
[43:39] Speaker 1: I think that Washington looks a lot like Latavius Murray analytically. Again,
[43:43] Speaker 1: this is not a run style thing, because Latavius Murray
[43:45] Speaker 1: had a pretty uh glare. I don't know if you
[43:48] Speaker 1: guys remember watching him, but like a very glaring, like
[43:50] Speaker 1: upright style of running. And I don't know if Mike
[43:53] Speaker 1: Washington is necessarily that from a stylistic perspective. But Washington's
[43:58] Speaker 1: coming out of an age age is another factor. I mean,
[44:00] Speaker 1: there's other factors. I'm just highlighting the major ones for
[44:02] Speaker 1: these comps. But Mike Washington, twenty two point eighty is
[44:05] Speaker 1: a little bit older, you know, not super old for
[44:07] Speaker 1: what we see these days. Latavius Murray when he came out,
[44:10] Speaker 1: he was older, twenty three point three, six one and
[44:13] Speaker 1: six two. They're both two hundred and twenty three pounds.
[44:15] Speaker 1: They both had really good speed scores. Reception share was
[44:19] Speaker 1: only one to one and a half percent off from
[44:21] Speaker 1: one another. Adjusted yards per team play, Mike Washington was
[44:25] Speaker 1: a little bit better, but you know, fairly comparable. And
[44:28] Speaker 1: then both of them had kind of below average adjusted
[44:31] Speaker 1: yards per team pass atten numbers. So again, not stylistic
[44:35] Speaker 1: comps here between Mike Washington Latavius Murray. But I do
[44:38] Speaker 1: think that the comp itself makes sense. And again people
[44:41] Speaker 1: hear that and they're like, oh, Mike Washington sucks.
[44:43] Speaker 2: Number one.
[44:44] Speaker 1: If you get a Latavious Murray outcome, that's not a
[44:46] Speaker 1: bad NFL career at all for a player that is
[44:49] Speaker 1: a fringe day two pick right now. And the only
[44:51] Speaker 1: reason why Mike Washington's a fringe day two pick is
[44:54] Speaker 1: because of what he did at the combine, which fine, whatever,
[44:57] Speaker 1: but you have to keep that in mind. It's not
[45:00] Speaker 1: like he has this like flawless production profile. And so
[45:03] Speaker 1: if he is Latavia's Murray, that's not a bad, bad,
[45:06] Speaker 1: like late second rookie pick. I mean, Latavius Murray had
[45:09] Speaker 1: his moments in the NFL.
[45:13] Speaker 3: Yeah, somewhat as a Titans fan, I saw that one
[45:17] Speaker 3: of those moments towards the end of his career. Yeah,
[45:21] Speaker 3: all right, let's get on to the the next one.
[45:24] Speaker 4: Made me a little bit sad as a Kendre Miller truther.
[45:27] Speaker 2: Are you Kendry Miller Truther?
[45:29] Speaker 4: Yeah, I had a lot of them last year, even I've.
[45:33] Speaker 2: Never been a big Kendrey Miller.
[45:34] Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm sorry.
[45:36] Speaker 2: I think that he was fine last year.
[45:39] Speaker 1: The one thing that kept me going with Kendrey Miller
[45:41] Speaker 1: was that he was very young entering the league, like
[45:43] Speaker 1: a very young prospect. And that's a key difference between
[45:46] Speaker 1: k Tron Allen and Kendrey Miller, because Kateron Allen is
[45:48] Speaker 1: not a young prospect and so but aside from that,
[45:52] Speaker 1: you know, Kendrey Miller didn't show receiving chops in college
[45:55] Speaker 1: seven point two percent best season reception share and his
[45:58] Speaker 1: adjusted yards per team pass attempt was point five to one,
[46:01] Speaker 1: very similar to Kateron Allen. But they're both five eleven
[46:04] Speaker 1: two sixteen, two fifteen similarly like mediocre receiving profiles. But
[46:08] Speaker 1: then their adjusted yards for team play is actually not
[46:11] Speaker 1: that bad, and it's not that bad because they were
[46:13] Speaker 1: good on the ground.
[46:14] Speaker 2: K Tron Allen was really good on the ground.
[46:16] Speaker 1: I mean, he was the leading Penn State rusher of
[46:19] Speaker 1: all time by the end that by the end of
[46:21] Speaker 1: his collegiate career. Now obviously like longevity and just playing
[46:24] Speaker 1: there a lot and for a while, like we'll play
[46:26] Speaker 1: into that. But he's good on the ground, not much
[46:29] Speaker 1: of a pass catcher. That's what we got from Kendre Miller,
[46:32] Speaker 1: and that's what I think we're gonna see with with
[46:34] Speaker 1: k Tron Allen in the NFL.
[46:37] Speaker 3: Okay, the the next one is a a little bit
[46:39] Speaker 3: of smaller running back. You get Desmond Reid with the
[46:42] Speaker 3: Tree Cohen comparison.
[46:44] Speaker 2: Yeah, I gotta throw my pit guy in there.
[46:46] Speaker 1: You know, there's no wide receivers from Pitt that are
[46:48] Speaker 1: that went to the combine that I that I wrote up.
[46:49] Speaker 1: But but des Reid Man, he's a fun player. And
[46:52] Speaker 1: that's that's how we described the small guys, right, the
[46:54] Speaker 1: small their their.
[46:56] Speaker 4: Gagedy or fun.
[46:57] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[46:58] Speaker 1: Yeah, I always there's always some fun running back in
[47:02] Speaker 1: every class that I latch onto. This one would be
[47:04] Speaker 1: des Reed, who actually has like an incredible production profile
[47:08] Speaker 1: from like a receiving standpoint. Now, again, if you go
[47:11] Speaker 1: back to what I said about Joonah Coleman, you get
[47:13] Speaker 1: a weird body type that you don't see very frequently.
[47:17] Speaker 1: So it's you're you're limiting the amount of possible comps, right,
[47:20] Speaker 1: But with Tarik Cohen they're both five six.
[47:23] Speaker 2: Cohen was five pounds heavier.
[47:25] Speaker 1: Reception share was twenty point four percent for Reed nineteen
[47:29] Speaker 1: point four percent for Cohen. Cohen had worse adjusted yards
[47:34] Speaker 1: per team pass attempts and adjusted total yards per team
[47:36] Speaker 1: play numbers because he played it a worse program, a
[47:39] Speaker 1: smaller program. I should say worse, just because then Pitt
[47:42] Speaker 1: can actually look good for ones. But you know, des
[47:46] Speaker 1: Reed had better marks across the board in the model
[47:49] Speaker 1: than Tarik Cohen did. I think that this could easily
[47:51] Speaker 1: be more of like a Douce Bond situation that we
[47:54] Speaker 1: saw recently, where ultra productive in college, but it just
[47:58] Speaker 1: doesn't translate to the NFL as the size. You know,
[48:00] Speaker 1: he's one hundred and seventy four pounds and a player
[48:02] Speaker 1: like this. I think that like a Tarik Cohen type
[48:05] Speaker 1: worked a lot better when running back target chairs were
[48:08] Speaker 1: higher in like that twenty sixteen twenty seventeen ish range,
[48:12] Speaker 1: like when teams were really peppering the running back out
[48:14] Speaker 1: of the backfield, whereas now that doesn't happen as frequently.
[48:18] Speaker 1: We're going after tight ends a lot more and such
[48:20] Speaker 1: with with this heavier personnel.
[48:21] Speaker 2: It doesn't work as well with these smaller backs.
[48:24] Speaker 1: So I do think Reid is going to be more landing,
[48:26] Speaker 1: spot dependent, creative, offensive, mind dependent. He's not going to
[48:30] Speaker 1: be a high volume player. But I do think the
[48:31] Speaker 1: comp makes sense. From Reed to tari Con.
[48:36] Speaker 3: Okay, let's get to a you mentioned a fun player.
[48:39] Speaker 3: Let's get to a really fun player, the most fun player.
[48:44] Speaker 4: Some might say Jeremiah Love.
[48:47] Speaker 2: Yeah, so Jeremiah Love.
[48:48] Speaker 1: I have Vijon Robinson, who I think is the closer
[48:50] Speaker 1: comp or closest within the database to Love. Robinson was
[48:55] Speaker 1: an inch shorter, three pounds heavier, so he had a
[48:58] Speaker 1: little bit more bulk, a little bit better share, a
[49:00] Speaker 1: little bit better adjusted yards per team play, a little
[49:02] Speaker 1: bit better adjusted yards per team pass attempt. But they
[49:05] Speaker 1: were all in the vicinity of one another like that.
[49:08] Speaker 1: This is exactly why B Jhon Robinson. I've said this
[49:10] Speaker 1: on shows before. I don't think Jeremiah Love is as
[49:13] Speaker 1: good of a prospect as like a Bjon Robinson and
[49:15] Speaker 1: Jamior Gibbs and Ashton Genty. I just don't think he's
[49:18] Speaker 1: there analytically. Now, there are some reasons for it. But
[49:21] Speaker 1: you could make the same argument to a degree with
[49:23] Speaker 1: b Jhon Robinson and the competition that he played, with
[49:26] Speaker 1: the reasons being Jeneian Price for Jeremiah Love. Now, Price
[49:30] Speaker 1: is the better prospect from a draft capital standpoint, we're assuming.
[49:34] Speaker 2: Than Roshan Johnson.
[49:36] Speaker 1: But that's another reason why this comp makes sense, right,
[49:38] Speaker 1: because they were playing with an NFL caliber running.
[49:41] Speaker 2: Back in their backfield in college.
[49:44] Speaker 1: So look, I think that you're splitting hairs and you're
[49:48] Speaker 1: making an argument that doesn't need to be made because
[49:50] Speaker 1: it's irrelevant by saying you know is Jeremiah By asking
[49:54] Speaker 1: is Jeremiah Love better than Bjhon Robinson, Jamier Gibbs, Ashton Genty,
[49:58] Speaker 1: these guys that have come out in recent years, my
[50:00] Speaker 1: answer to that is no, definitively. I don't think analytically
[50:03] Speaker 1: he has as good of a profile, but he's still
[50:06] Speaker 1: an elite player. I wrote all about this in the
[50:08] Speaker 1: Prospect Guide because his draft capital just keeps rising. He's
[50:12] Speaker 1: in the legendary performer category and he's going to be
[50:15] Speaker 1: more than likely a legendary performer post draft. And players
[50:19] Speaker 1: in that bucket we don't see them very often at
[50:21] Speaker 1: running back, but they give us really really good fantasy production,
[50:26] Speaker 1: like even Ashton Gent who also lands in that bucket.
[50:28] Speaker 1: You can say what you want about him disappointing last year,
[50:30] Speaker 1: I wouldn't disagree. He was still fantasy relevant, Like he
[50:33] Speaker 1: was still like he still had like what fourteen and
[50:35] Speaker 1: a half PPR points per game, and things are trending
[50:38] Speaker 1: in the right direction I think for him. From a
[50:40] Speaker 1: coaching standpoint, in a situation standpoint, you know, I do
[50:43] Speaker 1: think that anytime a player like Love is projected to
[50:46] Speaker 1: go high in the draft, you're thinking, oh, he's going
[50:49] Speaker 1: to go to a bad team, and so there are
[50:52] Speaker 1: some spots that are probably better than others.
[50:53] Speaker 2: But in the end, guys, if.
[50:56] Speaker 1: You're a top sixteen running back, and I talked about
[50:58] Speaker 1: this on the Draft Capital episode last week, if you're
[51:00] Speaker 1: a tier I guess yeah last week. But if you're
[51:03] Speaker 1: a top sixteen running back by Draft Capital, the odds
[51:06] Speaker 1: of you just flaming out are so so slim in
[51:09] Speaker 1: fantasy that you just gotta you gotta go for it,
[51:11] Speaker 1: like Jeremiah Love should.
[51:12] Speaker 2: Be a stud in fantasy football.
[51:14] Speaker 3: Yeah, And this is what I was saying for the Titans,
[51:17] Speaker 3: especially compared to the other running backs. Having a Bijon
[51:21] Speaker 3: esque player on the Titans would at least be fun
[51:25] Speaker 3: for the other thing.
[51:25] Speaker 1: Is is that I think I think the one thing
[51:27] Speaker 1: that we have to I agree, like if you just
[51:29] Speaker 1: had Bjon Robinson Shore. I've said this for years on
[51:34] Speaker 1: in like the discord and stuff, like, I think Bjon
[51:35] Speaker 1: Robinson is one of the greatest running backs I've ever
[51:38] Speaker 1: watched period, Like I think he is. His contact balance
[51:42] Speaker 1: is unreal, like I've never seen anything like that, and
[51:46] Speaker 1: he's a great receiver, and I you know, he's hit
[51:50] Speaker 1: a high end outcome even for where he was drafted,
[51:54] Speaker 1: which was very high, you know.
[51:56] Speaker 2: And so I do think that like.
[51:58] Speaker 1: The idea of that is definitely and it's definitely safer
[52:01] Speaker 1: to get a guy like Jeremiah Love than some other
[52:04] Speaker 1: players you might go after.
[52:05] Speaker 2: I'm not going to say the expected value is greater, but.
[52:08] Speaker 1: It's safer from a player projection standpoint to just get
[52:13] Speaker 1: Jeremiah Love. And if you want to put butts in
[52:14] Speaker 1: the seats, that's definitely a way to.
[52:16] Speaker 2: Go as well.
[52:17] Speaker 1: But yeah, I mean, like like Love is a very
[52:19] Speaker 1: very good prospect. I think that's the takeaway that people
[52:21] Speaker 1: should have here.
[52:24] Speaker 3: Yeah, again especially in comparison and supposedly going to be
[52:32] Speaker 3: like a top five pick. I think he's actually favored
[52:35] Speaker 3: now on DraftKings to be the number four overall pick,
[52:39] Speaker 3: like that's his Yeah, like he's actually a favorite to go,
[52:42] Speaker 3: which which.
[52:43] Speaker 1: That's you know, that's where we had like Leonard Fournette
[52:47] Speaker 1: as probably I mean obviously Trent Richardson, but like Leonard
[52:49] Speaker 1: Fournette as the weaker one of the last like five
[52:53] Speaker 1: to seven years or ten years, you know, in terms
[52:56] Speaker 1: of like fantasy production and stuff, which is still not
[52:58] Speaker 1: a terrible outcome. He still was fairly good fantasy asset,
[53:03] Speaker 1: really good fantasy asset.
[53:04] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[53:10] Speaker 3: All right, let's wrap up this show again. Make sure
[53:14] Speaker 3: to subscribe, like comment, especially on YouTube, and just want
[53:22] Speaker 3: to highlight a few comments. Bes perfect, Good morning, guys.
[53:28] Speaker 3: Cool seeing you guys on the NFL Network ticker.
[53:30] Speaker 2: It is always cool.
[53:32] Speaker 1: Yeah, That's That's something that doesn't get old is when people,
[53:36] Speaker 1: you know, point that out.
[53:37] Speaker 2: It's fun.
[53:38] Speaker 3: Our buddy Tyler says, shout out to the best prospect
[53:41] Speaker 3: guy every year.
[53:41] Speaker 4: At the industry bar. None Styler.
[53:44] Speaker 3: Tyler said that not us, and then Petrip we were
[53:47] Speaker 3: talking about Corey Davis and he said Corey Davis would
[53:49] Speaker 3: have got me fired as a GM.
[53:51] Speaker 1: But I think that this is another like again, smaller
[53:54] Speaker 1: school guy where the adjustments and stuff and I'm trying
[53:57] Speaker 1: to make in the in the Zap model. It still
[54:00] Speaker 1: really likes Corey Davis. Don't getting wrong. Uh, But like
[54:04] Speaker 1: you know, I think we should be weary always after
[54:06] Speaker 1: I said that stuff about Ted Hurst. But still we
[54:08] Speaker 1: should be weary if a guy is coming from a
[54:11] Speaker 1: smaller program.
[54:12] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[54:14] Speaker 3: Uh, And then we were talking about prospects. He might
[54:16] Speaker 3: be a small guy, but he has a big heart.
[54:19] Speaker 4: Time.
[54:20] Speaker 2: I'll tell you what.
[54:21] Speaker 1: When when college football came back last year for for
[54:25] Speaker 1: you know the game, yeah, I played his pitt. Actually
[54:28] Speaker 1: I started out as as the Bowling Green head coach. Okay,
[54:32] Speaker 1: I had no idea who Harold Fannon was at that time.
[54:36] Speaker 4: And you know who the Bowling Green head coach is?
[54:39] Speaker 4: What Eddie George?
[54:41] Speaker 1: Yeah but not he wasn't two years ago though, Okay, gotcha,
[54:44] Speaker 1: I don't think so TSU's two years ago. But but
[54:49] Speaker 1: so so I was Bowling Green's head coach and I'm like, man,
[54:52] Speaker 1: this tight end is like out of control, Like he's
[54:54] Speaker 1: so good and it was Harold Fannon little that I know.
[54:57] Speaker 2: I went, I'm I know his mom now.
[55:00] Speaker 1: But then I transferred to Pitt because they offered me,
[55:03] Speaker 1: and I'm not gonna say no to a job of
[55:05] Speaker 1: my alma monor, you know. And so I went to
[55:07] Speaker 1: Pitt and des Reid won the Heisman because he was
[55:09] Speaker 1: just on those types of players.
[55:12] Speaker 2: That type of player is so good in video games,
[55:14] Speaker 2: so good.
[55:14] Speaker 1: The shifty, you know, smaller running backs like they're so
[55:17] Speaker 1: good in video games. And maybe that's where my bias
[55:20] Speaker 1: comes in, where I always like fall in love with
[55:21] Speaker 1: these random, like round four rookie pick type running backs
[55:24] Speaker 1: that are smaller and have good receiving profiles.
[55:27] Speaker 2: That's that's Des Reid.
[55:29] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[55:29] Speaker 3: There was a mptshue running back who had like his
[55:34] Speaker 3: own Heisman campaign, Dwan Hicks. And this was like way
[55:39] Speaker 3: back when, you know, I mean, I'm I'm NK status.
[55:42] Speaker 4: Right now, but on n c A he was amazing.
[55:47] Speaker 3: Yeah, and he did win the Heisman for me when
[55:50] Speaker 3: I when I played as him all right again, Prospect
