[0:00] Speaker 1: You're about to listen to the Late Round Fantasy Football show,
[0:02] Speaker 1: which originally aired on YouTube. If you'd like to catch
[0:05] Speaker 1: the show live this offseason, you can head to the
[0:07] Speaker 1: Late Round Fantasy Football YouTube channel YouTube dot com slash
[0:10] Speaker 1: at Late Round FF will be live each Wednesday at
[0:14] Speaker 1: noon Eastern without further ado.
[0:16] Speaker 2: Here's this week's episode, Welcome In.
[0:31] Speaker 3: Welcome In. It's a Late Round Fantasy football show sponsored
[0:34] Speaker 3: by DraftKings. David Kitchen here alongside JJ, Zachar Eason and JJ.
[0:40] Speaker 3: You were on vacation last week, but it's I don't know,
[0:47] Speaker 3: It's like the stats were polling up against you.
[0:51] Speaker 1: This is the first like normal day that I've had
[0:54] Speaker 1: since being back. We got back on Saturday, and this
[0:57] Speaker 1: is Wednesday that we're recording this. I not only got
[1:00] Speaker 1: sick on Thursday, so Thursday Friday kind of under the weather,
[1:04] Speaker 1: just kind of pushed through some tile and all, you
[1:06] Speaker 1: know and whatever.
[1:07] Speaker 4: Uh, and that's why I'm a little congested.
[1:09] Speaker 3: Now.
[1:09] Speaker 4: I'm kind of on the tail end of it.
[1:11] Speaker 1: But got sick. We got home. Or if you've listened
[1:15] Speaker 1: to becoming a Best Ball.
[1:16] Speaker 4: Bro, you heard this.
[1:16] Speaker 1: Our upstairs ac was completely broken, which is where my
[1:20] Speaker 1: office is and all my equipment and and et cetera,
[1:23] Speaker 1: et cetera. And it's not very easy to move this
[1:25] Speaker 1: stuff when you got kids running around and stuff like that.
[1:29] Speaker 1: So that episode that you guys listened to on Tuesday,
[1:33] Speaker 1: I was quite literally.
[1:35] Speaker 4: Dripping sweat by the end of it.
[1:37] Speaker 1: I mean like like had to immediately put the shirt
[1:40] Speaker 1: in the in the gym hamper, you know, after after
[1:43] Speaker 1: I was done with.
[1:43] Speaker 3: It, I mean, and I was getting nervous because that's
[1:48] Speaker 3: where your guest bedroom was located. And that's right, That's
[1:51] Speaker 3: why I'll be flying to you know, to the Camp
[1:54] Speaker 3: JJ and then we're going to be road tripping to
[1:56] Speaker 3: the Fancy Foble Expo this weekend.
[1:59] Speaker 1: Yes, if anyone's there, say hello. Hopefully Harold Fannon's mom
[2:03] Speaker 1: is there.
[2:03] Speaker 3: This year, I don't think I thought about this, remember,
[2:08] Speaker 3: because I was thinking also, we had our deal with
[2:11] Speaker 3: the the NFL. Well, we were in talks with the NFL,
[2:16] Speaker 3: and iHeart media back then about the about the deal
[2:20] Speaker 3: and like part of it was the scroller and we
[2:22] Speaker 3: were watching the Hall of Fame games, We're like, how
[2:25] Speaker 3: would this be if.
[2:27] Speaker 1: Well we get it this year? Will that be happening?
[2:30] Speaker 3: It could be. Yeah, But the thing is the expo
[2:33] Speaker 3: is is.
[2:33] Speaker 1: Earlier, right, right, So there's not gonna be like sitting
[2:38] Speaker 1: there on TV while we're.
[2:39] Speaker 3: All right, Harold Fannon's mom was actually watching. That's a
[2:42] Speaker 3: good point, her son play, Yeah, it's.
[2:45] Speaker 1: Two weeks ago. The problem with like, so the expo's
[2:47] Speaker 1: earlier this year. It's usually the week after the Hall
[2:50] Speaker 1: of Fame game. This this year it's the week before.
[2:52] Speaker 1: You can't do it the week of the Hall of
[2:54] Speaker 1: Fame game because it's in Canton and it's at the
[2:55] Speaker 1: Hall of Fame, so you can't do it that weekend.
[2:58] Speaker 1: So it's technically like two weeks earlier than when it
[3:01] Speaker 1: typically is.
[3:02] Speaker 4: So it's gonna be a little bit different.
[3:03] Speaker 1: But I'm excited because I know there's gonna be a
[3:05] Speaker 1: different set of people that are there that that aren't
[3:09] Speaker 1: typically able to get there. So I'm excited for the trip, honestly,
[3:13] Speaker 1: after the way, I think, I'm just excited to hopefully settle.
[3:17] Speaker 4: In and not you know, go have the chaos that's
[3:20] Speaker 4: been going on.
[3:20] Speaker 1: Not only that this morning kitchen, this morning, I'm getting
[3:24] Speaker 1: the kids ready to go to their camp and daycare,
[3:27] Speaker 1: and all of a sudden, I realized, I can't find
[3:30] Speaker 1: CJ anywhere, my three and a half year old son. Okay,
[3:33] Speaker 1: I can't find them anywhere. I don't know what's going on.
[3:36] Speaker 1: And so I start like panicking because he's only three
[3:39] Speaker 1: and a half and he's kind of crazy, and so
[3:43] Speaker 1: I start screaming from like the top of my lungs
[3:45] Speaker 1: for him to emerge wherever he's at.
[3:49] Speaker 4: Silence, there's just nothing.
[3:51] Speaker 1: And then all of a sudden, I realized, after five
[3:54] Speaker 1: minutes of panic, we realized that he was in He
[3:57] Speaker 1: was hiding in my.
[3:58] Speaker 4: Wife's my wife's clock, like we have split closet situation.
[4:01] Speaker 1: He was hiding in the closet in I remember doing
[4:05] Speaker 1: this as a kid too, like going into my parents'
[4:07] Speaker 1: closet and like hiding and like being like, you know,
[4:10] Speaker 1: behind the clothing that's hanging and stuff like that. And
[4:13] Speaker 1: he was he thought we were playing like hide and seek,
[4:15] Speaker 1: and he didn't tell anyone, and despite the fact that
[4:17] Speaker 1: I was yelling for him, he wasn't coming out. And
[4:20] Speaker 1: so we had to have a little talk about how
[4:22] Speaker 1: when we play hide and seek, gotta let everyone know
[4:25] Speaker 1: that we're playing hide and seek. Yeah, yeah, that's great.
[4:29] Speaker 3: Great like those when you think your kid, like, where's
[4:33] Speaker 3: my kid?
[4:34] Speaker 4: Right right?
[4:35] Speaker 3: I remember some of those, and now you know now
[4:38] Speaker 3: it's just like, all right, they're around here somewhere.
[4:40] Speaker 1: I got someone in chat saying, does the J and
[4:42] Speaker 1: CJ stand for the same thing as the second J
[4:45] Speaker 1: and JJ?
[4:45] Speaker 4: It does not.
[4:46] Speaker 1: We actually didn't name CJ because we adopted CJ when
[4:49] Speaker 1: he was six weeks old.
[4:51] Speaker 4: We we were the.
[4:53] Speaker 1: Ones who started calling him CJ. But his birth mother
[4:56] Speaker 1: also was like had that idea as well, so we
[5:00] Speaker 1: didn't name him. That's the that's the short of it.
[5:03] Speaker 3: It.
[5:03] Speaker 1: I just always say that if I ever had a child,
[5:08] Speaker 1: that I would never give them initial name an initial name,
[5:11] Speaker 1: because it was so annoying going to school and having
[5:13] Speaker 1: to correct your teacher every every year and everyone's like, oh,
[5:17] Speaker 1: your name's blah blah blah. You know, I'm not gonna
[5:19] Speaker 1: say it because some people just call me that. You
[5:21] Speaker 1: guys can find it easily. But I didn't want to
[5:24] Speaker 1: do that to my own kid, and ell I ended
[5:26] Speaker 1: up doing that with with my child.
[5:28] Speaker 3: As long as they don't put on your fmx BO
[5:30] Speaker 3: tag this year.
[5:32] Speaker 1: That's true that it was on my my my lanyard
[5:34] Speaker 1: last year.
[5:35] Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, we have some things to get to
[5:41] Speaker 3: as far as dues and notes. But before that, go
[5:45] Speaker 3: to day round dot com and either sign up to
[5:48] Speaker 3: be a member or purchase the Draft Guy. Draft Guy
[5:53] Speaker 3: is out. It's already had two updates. Update number three
[5:57] Speaker 3: will be happening on Friday. Uh so excited about that.
[6:03] Speaker 3: Every Friday, you're going to get an update from the
[6:06] Speaker 3: season starts through the end of August. Yeah, all access
[6:11] Speaker 3: member and have that included in your membership.
[6:16] Speaker 4: Yes, I already know.
[6:17] Speaker 1: I haven't written all the blurbs yet for what I'm
[6:21] Speaker 1: updating the players of Target Avoid and Dark Throws, but
[6:23] Speaker 1: I know who I will be adding this week, and
[6:27] Speaker 1: I think it's exciting. It's a I don't know this
[6:31] Speaker 1: time you can't take.
[6:32] Speaker 3: Definitely is exciting and one of the guys exciting. Yeah,
[6:35] Speaker 3: he's gonna be he's on this show somewhere.
[6:38] Speaker 4: I'll just uh, we won't tell, We won't tell you
[6:40] Speaker 4: wherever he is on this show.
[6:41] Speaker 1: Somewhere.
[6:42] Speaker 3: He is on this show somewhere. All right. Shout out
[6:45] Speaker 3: to our sponsor DraftKings for sponsoring the show. Promo code
[6:50] Speaker 3: Late Round link is in the description. If you want
[6:54] Speaker 3: the draft one get one. They had another Best Ball
[6:57] Speaker 3: Week last week, but this week they're also doing a
[7:00] Speaker 3: deal where you get cash back for the number of
[7:06] Speaker 3: entries that you draft in the Best Ball MILLI contest
[7:10] Speaker 3: and JJ, you and I have been comparing exposures and
[7:14] Speaker 3: also draft slots. I'm ninety two drafts in. You are
[7:18] Speaker 3: I think eighty two or eighty three?
[7:19] Speaker 4: Now I think I'm like eighty six. I did another one.
[7:21] Speaker 1: I've been doing the the Zone two peloton rides while drafting,
[7:25] Speaker 1: and then one at night typically.
[7:28] Speaker 3: Did you see in the Best Ball chat that I
[7:30] Speaker 3: got number one overall pick last night? And a member
[7:34] Speaker 3: tagged me, He's like, I didn't get the number one
[7:36] Speaker 3: overall pick, but Kitchen did, and also Levitane was in
[7:39] Speaker 3: the draft as well, so it was a yeah.
[7:41] Speaker 1: I mean, guys, I'm telling you what I'm almost. I
[7:43] Speaker 1: think I'm almost ninety drafts in and I've gotten the
[7:47] Speaker 1: one oh one three times and I've gotten the one
[7:50] Speaker 1: oh the one ten Yeah, well was it fifteen times?
[7:53] Speaker 1: I think it's been at this point. I've gotten so
[7:55] Speaker 1: much five to seven also, so I have so much
[7:57] Speaker 1: JSN too, So I'm trying to I don't want to.
[8:00] Speaker 1: I don't want to go crazy and start taking Amen
[8:02] Speaker 1: rah over JSN in that spot yet, but I will
[8:05] Speaker 1: have to do that if it just keeps happening.
[8:06] Speaker 3: I only have three number three slots, so like Jamar Chase,
[8:10] Speaker 3: who's the guy that always goes there.
[8:12] Speaker 1: Yeah, but but not having it, but like he'll fall
[8:14] Speaker 1: to four like I I think, I mean I have
[8:15] Speaker 1: Pooka ahead of Chase straight up in my rankings, so like,
[8:19] Speaker 1: like realistically, that's a spot where I would be totally
[8:22] Speaker 1: You can't not have the one oh one like Gibbs
[8:26] Speaker 1: Jamiir Gibbs could go nuclear this year and and only
[8:29] Speaker 1: having three out of ninety drafts is incredibly tilted.
[8:35] Speaker 3: All right, JJ, I did see in the chat we
[8:39] Speaker 3: had what up? JJ and David love the show only
[8:44] Speaker 3: show I can't listen to on two X love the
[8:46] Speaker 3: work Denanni's ain't boys.
[8:49] Speaker 1: My man.
[8:49] Speaker 4: My man is crushing it, uh with with the news
[8:51] Speaker 4: items and such.
[8:53] Speaker 3: And we appreciate him. And speaking of let's get into it.
[8:55] Speaker 3: It's today's news, today's fantasy news.
[9:02] Speaker 1: All right, First on the list.
[9:04] Speaker 3: If you are a Montgomery Truther, this might scare you
[9:08] Speaker 3: a little bit. Is he even be splitting reps this year. JJ.
[9:12] Speaker 1: The problem with this report, this is a very classic
[9:15] Speaker 1: like beat reporter. I can't take it very seriously report
[9:20] Speaker 1: because number one we don't know yet and number two
[9:25] Speaker 1: literally a month.
[9:25] Speaker 4: Ago, less than a month ago.
[9:26] Speaker 1: I think there was a completely like separate report that
[9:30] Speaker 1: was saying that David Montgomery was going to be the
[9:33] Speaker 1: bell cow and he was going to take work through
[9:34] Speaker 1: the air as well, like that was what people thought
[9:37] Speaker 1: would be more of the Woody Mark's role. I don't
[9:39] Speaker 1: think that we know I've said it before on this show,
[9:42] Speaker 1: that you know my rankings, I need to really hone
[9:45] Speaker 1: in on that area of my rankings because it's kind
[9:48] Speaker 1: of difficult to get what I cause. For me, rankings
[9:51] Speaker 1: are like me trying to describe how I feel about
[9:54] Speaker 1: certain players to people who are consuming those rankings right,
[9:57] Speaker 1: and I'm trying to It's a really hard area of
[9:59] Speaker 1: the DREA have to do that. And so with David Montgomery,
[10:03] Speaker 1: though I've said it before on this show, I think
[10:05] Speaker 1: that like if you want to if you want to
[10:07] Speaker 1: talk about a generally sort of the archetype of a
[10:13] Speaker 1: dead zone running back, I do think that David Montgomery
[10:15] Speaker 1: checks a lot of those boxes where he's not young.
[10:18] Speaker 1: You know, he goes in that range where he's being
[10:20] Speaker 1: boosted by projection a bit. It's not like it's this
[10:23] Speaker 1: like glorious situation and he's not ever been like an amazing,
[10:27] Speaker 1: amazing pass catcher. I think that he's fine as a
[10:29] Speaker 1: pass catcher, Like could he easily get a lot of
[10:33] Speaker 1: work and be fine. Yeah, That's why I'm not like
[10:35] Speaker 1: fading Montgomery completely. But I'm underweight of Montgomery because I
[10:39] Speaker 1: just think there's more tantalizing upside with some other players
[10:42] Speaker 1: that are going around him that I would rather take
[10:45] Speaker 1: a chance on, especially in certain builds, like if I
[10:47] Speaker 1: have two running backs already and I'm looking at a
[10:49] Speaker 1: third running back, I don't want David Montgomery. I want
[10:51] Speaker 1: Bashall Tuton, you know, in that kind of kind of
[10:54] Speaker 1: environment in situation, So I would I would pump the
[10:58] Speaker 1: brakes a little bit on this particular report, as I
[11:01] Speaker 1: would on the other report about David Montgomery being just
[11:05] Speaker 1: the full blown belcow in this backfield and seeing you know,
[11:08] Speaker 1: the the eighty percent backfield share that we want these
[11:10] Speaker 1: backs to. You know, it's very rare for these backs
[11:12] Speaker 1: to hit with that being said, I don't think Whatdy
[11:14] Speaker 1: marks is that special either, But like, let's just keep
[11:17] Speaker 1: in mind, like things changed offensively for this Texans team.
[11:21] Speaker 1: You know, the offensive line should be better. But man,
[11:24] Speaker 1: I'll tell you what, Like CJ. Stroud has been rough
[11:27] Speaker 1: the last couple of years and basically since his rookie season,
[11:29] Speaker 1: and the offensive line has not been good, and the
[11:32] Speaker 1: run game has not been overly efficient, and so like,
[11:34] Speaker 1: I don't I don't really want to be overweight on
[11:37] Speaker 1: a situation like that, just assuming that it can just
[11:39] Speaker 1: get so so good, you know, in an instant one
[11:43] Speaker 1: offseason like that. So, like I said, I think that
[11:46] Speaker 1: he is a classic dead zone back from an archetype standpoint,
[11:50] Speaker 1: but it's not as obvious as like when Alexander Madison
[11:53] Speaker 1: was in there, or like Zamir White or those kinds
[11:55] Speaker 1: of players were like there's not even a backbone of
[11:58] Speaker 1: those guys being relevant in fantasy football.
[12:01] Speaker 3: Okay, uh, guy that's been in the news this week.
[12:05] Speaker 3: Peter Schrager his uh you know he did he never played.
[12:09] Speaker 1: But oh man, by the way, I I saw the
[12:13] Speaker 1: uh the clip and I forgot that it existed.
[12:17] Speaker 4: The clip of D'Angelo Williams.
[12:19] Speaker 1: Yeah, with Kyle Branton Shregs like this is like years ago, right,
[12:24] Speaker 1: and it's it's Dangela Williams just tearing them apart for
[12:27] Speaker 1: having not played, even though Brant did play in college
[12:29] Speaker 1: and he went to Princeton and and you know whatever,
[12:32] Speaker 1: it's just embarrassing like that, that that whole discussion from
[12:35] Speaker 1: players is just so beyond embarrassing when you turn on
[12:38] Speaker 1: the TV and you see Lashawan McCoy and look, I
[12:40] Speaker 1: went the pit. I like shady okay, but my god,
[12:44] Speaker 1: the takes are ridiculous. They're they're obscene, And I have
[12:46] Speaker 1: no problem saying that because I can point to all
[12:49] Speaker 1: of them and say they're just they're just crazy. You
[12:50] Speaker 1: don't need to play the game to understand the game,
[12:53] Speaker 1: and vice versa. Are there people out there that have
[12:55] Speaker 1: not played the game that are really bad at analyzing it? Yes?
[12:59] Speaker 1: Are there players though, that played the game and are
[13:01] Speaker 1: terrible and analyzing it? Yes? So you know, just take
[13:04] Speaker 1: a case by case. And I think Shregs in particular
[13:07] Speaker 1: is very very good at his job. So I want
[13:09] Speaker 1: to shout him out after you you know, preface with that.
[13:13] Speaker 3: Yeah, and he had Liam Cohen JAG's head coach on
[13:18] Speaker 3: the show, and it was a fun show. You know,
[13:20] Speaker 3: we've talked about the Jags offense. He talked about Parker
[13:25] Speaker 3: Washington and all Roads base shall Tutan. So if if
[13:30] Speaker 3: you've been drafting those guys, you're high, and those guys
[13:32] Speaker 3: or you hold them in your dynasty leagues, you're feeling
[13:34] Speaker 3: good right now.
[13:36] Speaker 1: Yeah, Look the thing with Parker Washington, which, by the way,
[13:38] Speaker 1: both those guys are from the start of the Draft
[13:41] Speaker 1: Guide release, they've been dubbed as targets and the guy.
[13:44] Speaker 1: Now you might be saying, like, Wow, Jaje's high on
[13:46] Speaker 1: Parker Washington. Not really. I just think the platforms, the
[13:49] Speaker 1: big fantasy platforms out there, non best Ball platforms, are
[13:52] Speaker 1: unbelievably low on Parker Washington. There's a very very big
[13:56] Speaker 1: gap outside of best Ball between a Brian Thomas and
[13:59] Speaker 1: Parker Washington. When I think that that gap is not necessary,
[14:03] Speaker 1: you know, because there's a very real chance that Washington's
[14:06] Speaker 1: a PPR scam as he was. I mean he was
[14:08] Speaker 1: really good too. I just mean that he could see
[14:10] Speaker 1: a lot of volume in that offense, in the way
[14:12] Speaker 1: they deployed him. But yeah, I mean, like Liam Cohen's
[14:15] Speaker 1: words about Parker Washington were really bullish, and then the
[14:17] Speaker 1: way that he talked about base Shall Tuton, which I
[14:19] Speaker 1: just go back to what I said from the start
[14:21] Speaker 1: about this backfield where I look, I think that and
[14:26] Speaker 1: this is the take that kind of like rex people's
[14:29] Speaker 1: brains because I've had a lot of people hit me
[14:31] Speaker 1: about this, But Chris Rodriguez to me is a better
[14:35] Speaker 1: pick and best ball than he is in managed season long,
[14:38] Speaker 1: because you're going to more than likely get some production
[14:41] Speaker 1: from Rodriguez this year. I just am fearful that it's
[14:44] Speaker 1: not very predictive and predictable because it'll maybe be a
[14:47] Speaker 1: one off touchdown, which I don't think that he's a
[14:50] Speaker 1: lock to see all of the goal line work given
[14:52] Speaker 1: base Shall Tuton played that role in a pretty significant
[14:54] Speaker 1: way last year and then base Schall Tuton also had
[14:57] Speaker 1: a really good success rate last year versus I have
[15:00] Speaker 1: as etn So, uh, you know, you have Chris Rodriguez,
[15:03] Speaker 1: who I think will score. Uh, we'll get some production
[15:06] Speaker 1: and we'll get some early down work. I don't want
[15:08] Speaker 1: to deal with that week to week in season long
[15:10] Speaker 1: that much. You know, Uh, he's fallen in drafts where
[15:13] Speaker 1: I've actually taken him quite a bit just because of
[15:15] Speaker 1: the the injury stuff and the scare there. But uh yeah,
[15:18] Speaker 1: I mean to me, it's it's when I said at
[15:20] Speaker 1: the start, I think I think, uh, you know, drafting
[15:22] Speaker 1: Chris Rodriguez or preferring him over base Shall Tuton is
[15:24] Speaker 1: a is a five condom way of looking at this,
[15:27] Speaker 1: where it's it's just a very like safe, low upside
[15:31] Speaker 1: type bet, whereas it's very clear the upside is with
[15:34] Speaker 1: base Shall Tuton. Now, could you argue that four or
[15:37] Speaker 1: five six years ago, base Shall Tuton's ADP would be
[15:40] Speaker 1: more in like the seventies or eighties or nineties even, Yeah,
[15:43] Speaker 1: you could argue that the the market's gotten sharper, But
[15:46] Speaker 1: I don't think that where Tuton gets drafted, which, by
[15:48] Speaker 1: the way, if you look at Yahoo or ESPN, he
[15:51] Speaker 1: gets drafted after well after RB two range, like he's
[15:54] Speaker 1: in he's in like RB twenty six to RB twenty
[15:56] Speaker 1: eight land, and I think he's closer to like RB twenty.
[15:59] Speaker 1: So I'm more than willing to throw that dark because
[16:02] Speaker 1: I know the hit rates are just not very strong
[16:04] Speaker 1: anyway in that fifth sixth round range.
[16:07] Speaker 3: Yeah, as far as backup running backs. The guys who
[16:10] Speaker 3: we've been looking at. These next two notes might give
[16:14] Speaker 3: people some anxiety. Isaiah Davis possibly the new running back.
[16:18] Speaker 3: To a report in The Athletic by Zach Rosenblatt was
[16:25] Speaker 3: basically comparing the running back two situation and said that
[16:28] Speaker 3: right now the favorite is Isaiah Davis over Brailn Allen.
[16:33] Speaker 1: Yes, and by the way I bent over, I'm gonna
[16:35] Speaker 1: be blowing my nose throughout this.
[16:37] Speaker 4: So don't think that anything weird.
[16:41] Speaker 3: Yeah, not Robbie Williams.
[16:44] Speaker 4: Yeah, nothing, Robbie Williams.
[16:46] Speaker 3: Ask I saw and I knew exactly what happened. I
[16:48] Speaker 3: didn't want to alert people, and you know the podcast.
[16:51] Speaker 4: Listen, So I got congestion. You know, we all get it.
[16:55] Speaker 1: Yeah. So the Isaiah Davis Braylan Allen things interesting because
[16:57] Speaker 1: I think that Isaiah Davis is better than Allen, Like
[17:01] Speaker 1: I I think he's a better player than Allen is,
[17:03] Speaker 1: and he has more of a receiving skill set. And
[17:05] Speaker 1: I have not understood really why Allen goes where he goes.
[17:09] Speaker 1: And in a lot of these drafts when you're talking
[17:11] Speaker 1: like more than likely a handcuff, right, like not gonna
[17:15] Speaker 1: have a ton of standalone production from him, and then
[17:20] Speaker 1: on top of that, you're in a bad offense. You're
[17:22] Speaker 1: not in a good offensive situation. The offensive line shouldn't
[17:25] Speaker 1: be that bad for the Jets. But yeah, Isaiah Davis
[17:28] Speaker 1: if there, if he's there RB two, wouldn't wouldn't shock
[17:30] Speaker 1: me at all. Right now, he's he's not even getting
[17:32] Speaker 1: drafted in most of these drafts.
[17:34] Speaker 3: Okay, what about Simone Vaki possibly eating into Isaiah Pachecko's touches.
[17:41] Speaker 3: Pacheco has been a popular guy, especially in the Best
[17:45] Speaker 3: Bowl world, you know where he came from k Kansas City.
[17:48] Speaker 3: So if Vaki eats into his touches that, you know,
[17:53] Speaker 3: that's gonna eat into some of his value.
[17:56] Speaker 4: This is gonna be a weird video.
[17:57] Speaker 3: Uh.
[17:58] Speaker 1: The the audio is fine, Just just just listen to
[18:00] Speaker 1: the audio this week. Uh but yeah, no, I said
[18:03] Speaker 1: this about Pacheco before. Where the one thing that we
[18:06] Speaker 1: have to always keep in mind when we're drafting these backups,
[18:09] Speaker 1: especially you know, this is definitely more best ball focused
[18:12] Speaker 1: than it is season long because you can just drop
[18:13] Speaker 1: the guy, but you have to still worry about the
[18:16] Speaker 1: talent profile of the backup because there's fragility involved there, right,
[18:21] Speaker 1: Like if Arizona cuts James Connor or Trey Benson, you
[18:25] Speaker 1: don't think that their old offensive coordinator might be like, hey,
[18:28] Speaker 1: I want them, I want them on our team and
[18:30] Speaker 1: we need some running back depth. And then all of
[18:32] Speaker 1: a sudden, Isaiah Pacheco is dust because he's not that
[18:35] Speaker 1: talented himself at this point. And it's coming from a
[18:38] Speaker 1: truther I used to. I mean I loved Isaiah Pachecko.
[18:41] Speaker 1: He won me lots of money. Uh, And so I
[18:44] Speaker 1: think that we have to still recognize the talent profile
[18:47] Speaker 1: of who that backup is and what that backup is.
[18:49] Speaker 3: You know.
[18:50] Speaker 1: It's similar to like Tank Bigsby in a way where
[18:52] Speaker 1: I get the allure with Bigsby because he was very
[18:55] Speaker 1: good per rush last year. He's a he's he's been
[18:57] Speaker 1: good on the ground, right, but he's never been a
[19:01] Speaker 1: true belcal like through the air and the he's not
[19:03] Speaker 1: been good as a pass catcher in the NFL, right
[19:06] Speaker 1: like per route run horrific metrics and so saikwe goes down. Yeah,
[19:10] Speaker 1: Tank Bigsby gets a huge boost, but how much receiving
[19:13] Speaker 1: work is Bigsby going to get? You have to look
[19:15] Speaker 1: at the individual and I'm not saying he's a good
[19:17] Speaker 1: or bad pick. I'm just saying make sure you're evaluating
[19:20] Speaker 1: what that backup is and what he is as a player,
[19:23] Speaker 1: as opposed to saying he is the backup. And if
[19:25] Speaker 1: this guy gets hurt, then I know for sure this
[19:27] Speaker 1: is the way this is gonna go. If Jon Robinson
[19:29] Speaker 1: gets hurt, Brian Robinson will take on a lot of work.
[19:32] Speaker 1: But we know Brian Robinson has not been a stellar
[19:35] Speaker 1: pass catcher either, you know, And so there's there's limitations there.
[19:38] Speaker 1: The best handcuffs that you can find are the ones
[19:40] Speaker 1: that you do feel good about their pass catching role.
[19:43] Speaker 1: And we know that the early down works is a
[19:45] Speaker 1: little bit more replaceable. And I don't see any reason
[19:47] Speaker 1: why Isaiah Davis can't be looked at as a better
[19:50] Speaker 1: or like like comparable runner to you know, Brayln Allen
[19:54] Speaker 1: or Isaiah Pacheco and Baki like having a comparable rushing
[20:00] Speaker 1: profile all things considered. So like there's just a lot
[20:03] Speaker 1: of fragility to what's going on in that backup role,
[20:05] Speaker 1: which is why I haven't quite been able to buy
[20:06] Speaker 1: into where Pacheco's going in drafts.
[20:09] Speaker 3: Okay, staying on the Lions schefter and other people reported
[20:14] Speaker 3: yesterday good news for Sam Laporta. He has been fully
[20:18] Speaker 3: cleared for training camp after successful micro disc micro disc ectomy.
[20:24] Speaker 4: Yeah there you go. You killed that, you say it? Yeah,
[20:27] Speaker 4: rush it?
[20:28] Speaker 1: Uh yeah.
[20:29] Speaker 4: So so I'm I'm.
[20:33] Speaker 1: Not really attached to anyone in this in this offense
[20:36] Speaker 1: from a from a passing standpoint, I would imagine that
[20:41] Speaker 1: we see uh to a start the season. He's the
[20:45] Speaker 1: one that has been attached to this regime, if you will.
[20:50] Speaker 3: Uh.
[20:50] Speaker 1: And I don't think my I like, what has Michael
[20:52] Speaker 1: Pennock shown us so far in the NFL.
[20:55] Speaker 4: That's like I don't know, is he good?
[21:00] Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, I mean he had that one good game.
[21:05] Speaker 1: Like I'm just I don't know, I I I I
[21:09] Speaker 1: just am not sold that like this is this is
[21:11] Speaker 1: it for him?
[21:12] Speaker 3: Yeah, Tua has been going like later on in drafts,
[21:22] Speaker 3: in Vestball drafts, I think Tua is like a fine.
[21:26] Speaker 4: Pick, interesting click.
[21:27] Speaker 1: Yeah. My only thing is that, like I do think
[21:29] Speaker 1: that like they might want to see what they have
[21:31] Speaker 1: after they're out of playoff contention, you know, with with
[21:33] Speaker 1: Penix and make sure and check that box. But yeah, man,
[21:37] Speaker 1: I mean like I've I've not been inspired by Michael Pennix.
[21:40] Speaker 1: Since he's done what he's done, he's also shown that
[21:43] Speaker 1: he's not been able to stay healthy. So my my
[21:47] Speaker 1: stance is that like I think, I mean, look, I
[21:49] Speaker 1: think tua Is is potentially very very good for be
[21:53] Speaker 1: John Robinson too, So there's there's that going for him.
[21:57] Speaker 1: And we know that the the target consolidation is pretty
[21:59] Speaker 1: sure wrong in Atlanta, and we saw that in Miami
[22:03] Speaker 1: with Tua that he that he wasn't afraid to just
[22:06] Speaker 1: give it to his guys. And it's a very similar
[22:08] Speaker 1: situation where like you have like two or three good
[22:11] Speaker 1: targets and the rest of the team is really iffy.
[22:14] Speaker 1: And so I don't think that it would be shocking
[22:16] Speaker 1: to see Drake London hit like a twenty eight percent
[22:18] Speaker 1: target share, thirty percent target share this year. Kyle Pitts
[22:21] Speaker 1: could be decent, and then and then Bijon just getting
[22:24] Speaker 1: a lot of those dump offs that that we've seen.
[22:26] Speaker 1: You know, I don't want to attribute all of it
[22:28] Speaker 1: with a Chan to Tua, but one of the crazy
[22:31] Speaker 1: things with a Chan right now is the way that
[22:34] Speaker 1: people are talking about like how there's no one else
[22:37] Speaker 1: there in that offense and so it's not that big
[22:39] Speaker 1: of a deal that you know that that everything's changed
[22:43] Speaker 1: as a new quarterback, like who else they're gonna throw to?
[22:45] Speaker 4: He can still maintain that twenty percent target share, I.
[22:47] Speaker 1: Would agree, But without Tua, we saw a Chan be
[22:52] Speaker 1: completely useless in fantasy football. Like we've we've literally seen
[22:56] Speaker 1: the floor. The floor is not what happened last year.
[22:58] Speaker 3: You guys.
[22:59] Speaker 1: The Dolphins offense last year was not good, but that's
[23:03] Speaker 1: not the floor for a guy like a Cham because
[23:04] Speaker 1: Tua was still elevating him just from a pure you
[23:09] Speaker 1: know how we score fantasy football perspective, right, And I
[23:13] Speaker 1: feel that that way with Tua in Atlanta, where I
[23:16] Speaker 1: do think that he can at least give these guys
[23:18] Speaker 1: a floor and be a distributor. Do I think he's
[23:20] Speaker 1: gonna all of a sudden be a pro bowler? Well,
[23:22] Speaker 1: I shouldn't say pro bowler because that doesn't really matter anymore. Uh,
[23:25] Speaker 1: I mean, se Door Sanders was a pro bowler, But no, Like,
[23:28] Speaker 1: I don't think he's gonna be like have like a
[23:29] Speaker 1: special season or anything.
[23:31] Speaker 3: Okay. Adam Schefter came out with his AS podcast yesterday
[23:36] Speaker 3: talking about training camp notes, and one of those was
[23:40] Speaker 3: that Jalen Wattles playing the joker in Denver And if
[23:44] Speaker 3: you remember last year, people were all about Evan Ingram
[23:48] Speaker 3: because the word joker was attached to him. So joker
[23:51] Speaker 3: means value basically in the Denver offense.
[23:54] Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, like Sean Payton has always had this
[23:56] Speaker 1: joker role where he lines it's usually not a wide receiver,
[23:58] Speaker 1: it's usually a tight end or running where he lines
[24:00] Speaker 1: these guys all over the field and likes to deploy
[24:04] Speaker 1: them in in interesting ways. Like Darren Sproles was sort
[24:08] Speaker 1: of that role at one point, Jimmy Graham was that
[24:09] Speaker 1: role at one point, And like, it's probably not something
[24:13] Speaker 1: that we need to be that concerned about and worry
[24:16] Speaker 1: about the labeling of it, but I do think that
[24:18] Speaker 1: this is just another instance of like I don't understand
[24:21] Speaker 1: why Courtland Sutton gets drafted where he gets drafted, and
[24:24] Speaker 1: I don't understand where why Jalen Waddle gets drafted where
[24:26] Speaker 1: he gets drafted. I'm not talking about best ball, I'm
[24:28] Speaker 1: talking about season long leagues right now. If you look
[24:31] Speaker 1: at Yahoo and ESPN, we're talking wide receiver twenty two
[24:35] Speaker 1: and wide receiver twenty four for Jalen Wattle. According to ADP,
[24:40] Speaker 1: I have my wide receiver seventeen, so that's a pretty
[24:43] Speaker 1: big difference. And then ESPN and Yahoo have Courtland Sutton
[24:47] Speaker 1: at a wide receiver thirty three and wide receiver thirty seven.
[24:50] Speaker 1: I have said in a wide receiver forty four. I
[24:52] Speaker 1: will never ever understand why people love Courtland Sutton so
[24:57] Speaker 1: much in fantasy football. It makes absolutely zero sense to me.
[25:00] Speaker 1: He's quite literally not been a wide He's never had
[25:03] Speaker 1: a wide receiver one season, he said, one wide receiver
[25:05] Speaker 1: two season. In PPR points per game if I recall correctly,
[25:08] Speaker 1: and his yards per rout run has not been over
[25:10] Speaker 1: the two mark in like seven years, like an insane
[25:13] Speaker 1: amount of time. And so I don't really understand why
[25:16] Speaker 1: adding Jalen Waddle to the mix is going to to
[25:22] Speaker 1: sustain Courtland Sutton's fantasy production when there were times last
[25:26] Speaker 1: year where in this role, because I think Waddle's gonna
[25:29] Speaker 1: play the Z a lot in this role, we saw
[25:31] Speaker 1: Troy Franklin play this, and there were times last year
[25:35] Speaker 1: where Franklin was out producing Courtland Sutton. There was like
[25:38] Speaker 1: a stretch of three or four games where he was
[25:40] Speaker 1: a better fantasy asset than Courtland Sutton was and so
[25:44] Speaker 1: I'm I'm all. I think Jalen Wattle is a smash
[25:46] Speaker 1: at his ADP and I do not understand, you know,
[25:49] Speaker 1: in a season long environment, why court why you would
[25:52] Speaker 1: be drafting Courtland Sutton as a wide receiver three. I
[25:54] Speaker 1: just can't get behind it.
[25:56] Speaker 3: Hey, Cameron Wolf has Tetero McMillan from the Show playing
[26:00] Speaker 3: more slot this season in Carolina.
[26:04] Speaker 1: We talked to TAMAC about this at the Super Bowl.
[26:06] Speaker 1: I brought it up about him playing more in the slot,
[26:09] Speaker 1: and he said that he was he would be excited
[26:11] Speaker 1: to do that because he referenced, which was a great reference,
[26:14] Speaker 1: the Atlanta game and that in that game last year
[26:20] Speaker 1: he played a little bit more in the slot, he
[26:21] Speaker 1: was really productive out of the slot. The only problem
[26:24] Speaker 1: with this is that Jalen Coker is good there too,
[26:26] Speaker 1: and I worry about what that would do to his
[26:28] Speaker 1: fantasy value. I'm not trying to like make this too
[26:31] Speaker 1: big of a deal, but I do think that it
[26:33] Speaker 1: would It would ease some concerns for me with t MAC,
[26:37] Speaker 1: because my fear with t Mac is not that he's
[26:39] Speaker 1: not going to get a decent amount of volume and
[26:41] Speaker 1: be good because I think he's a stud. My fear
[26:43] Speaker 1: would be the conversion of some of the looks that
[26:45] Speaker 1: he gets, and he'll have an easier time converting if
[26:48] Speaker 1: he does get more slot work. So I think it's
[26:50] Speaker 1: a good thing for him for sure that he would
[26:53] Speaker 1: be playing more out of that area and also just
[26:55] Speaker 1: shows more offensive you know, innovation and being able to
[26:59] Speaker 1: get your got or get your best players in good
[27:01] Speaker 1: spots and such. But it would be a little bit
[27:04] Speaker 1: of a of a damper for for Jalen Coker there,
[27:07] Speaker 1: because I do think that he's a He's a pretty
[27:08] Speaker 1: good slot player himself.
[27:11] Speaker 3: Okay, last one on the list, because we've we've seen
[27:14] Speaker 3: his name floating around. I'm I'm still kind of shocked
[27:17] Speaker 3: he still hasn't signed. And that is stuf On Diggs.
[27:19] Speaker 3: Where's he going? You think you think he's gonna be
[27:21] Speaker 3: a new the new commander since i UK has kind
[27:25] Speaker 3: of played himself out of that role.
[27:26] Speaker 1: I think that it makes most sense, the most sense
[27:28] Speaker 1: for him to go to the commanders.
[27:29] Speaker 3: I think he.
[27:29] Speaker 1: Meshes well with with Terry McLaurin. I mean McLaurin can
[27:33] Speaker 1: obviously stretch the field really well. I think Diggs is
[27:35] Speaker 1: kind of past that point in his career. So I'm
[27:38] Speaker 1: still I'm still banking on that. Where I don't want
[27:40] Speaker 1: him to go is Baltimore.
[27:42] Speaker 4: I I don't want to.
[27:43] Speaker 1: See that happen, uh, just because there's not gonna be
[27:46] Speaker 1: as much volume, and you know, I want Zay Flowers
[27:49] Speaker 1: to to be able to maintain a really high target share.
[27:51] Speaker 1: But Washington, Kansas City's one to to keep an eye on.
[27:55] Speaker 1: I wouldn't be shocked if he ended up going. There
[27:57] Speaker 1: might be a little bit of a redundant asset to
[28:00] Speaker 1: what they already have to a degree, but yeah, I
[28:03] Speaker 1: think Washington is probably the favorite right now.
[28:06] Speaker 3: All right, let's get into today's data where we have
[28:08] Speaker 3: some market score comp projections for running back and receiver
[28:13] Speaker 3: today's data. All right, JJ, tell us what we're looking
[28:17] Speaker 3: at here.
[28:18] Speaker 1: Yeah, So I did that episode yesterday on the comps
[28:22] Speaker 1: score stuff and the looking at these players in market
[28:28] Speaker 1: score and how they performed based on what their comps
[28:31] Speaker 1: were saying, right, And so I got a lot of
[28:34] Speaker 1: feedback that it was really cool and fun and hopefully
[28:36] Speaker 1: you guys didn't take it like too seriously because it's
[28:39] Speaker 1: not how market scorer.
[28:40] Speaker 4: Is being used.
[28:42] Speaker 1: Slash it's not how my projections and how my you know,
[28:45] Speaker 1: it's not like the sole thing that I'm looking at
[28:47] Speaker 1: when I'm trying to see if I like a player
[28:50] Speaker 1: or not, but it is going to be part of
[28:51] Speaker 1: my evaluation process. And so right here I have the
[28:55] Speaker 1: top twenty four running backs and wide receivers listed for
[28:59] Speaker 1: you by their market score, COMP projection. So just to
[29:01] Speaker 1: run through this and what this means, b Jhon Robinson,
[29:05] Speaker 1: I look at his ADP, his market score in his
[29:07] Speaker 1: career year, and I find the ten most similar players
[29:11] Speaker 1: since twenty fourteen who fit those three criteria best for
[29:15] Speaker 1: b Jon Robinson, and then from there, I can multiply
[29:18] Speaker 1: the similarity by that point per game projection point per
[29:23] Speaker 1: game output that that player that comp had, and can
[29:26] Speaker 1: it can produce this projection that's based that's weighted by
[29:29] Speaker 1: the similar scorer. So if a player like had a
[29:33] Speaker 1: guy who was ninety five and similarity scorer and then
[29:36] Speaker 1: the next guy was seventy five, that ninety five is
[29:38] Speaker 1: getting more weight. That is basically what that means. So
[29:40] Speaker 1: b Jon Robinson comes in as the RB one. You know,
[29:43] Speaker 1: I called out some of the crazy ones on the
[29:45] Speaker 1: show on Tuesday which was the whole point of that show.
[29:48] Speaker 1: But you can see where this is. I mentioned the
[29:50] Speaker 1: drop off from from Chase Brown to RJ. Harvey fourteen
[29:53] Speaker 1: to fifteen, and you can see that drop off. It's
[29:56] Speaker 1: it's one point three points per game, which is pretty
[29:58] Speaker 1: significant compared to what you were seeing before. That These
[30:01] Speaker 1: are not these are not actual projections. It's just a
[30:03] Speaker 1: way of looking at market score and kind of a
[30:06] Speaker 1: unique and different way and see where you know, there's
[30:10] Speaker 1: there's a little bit more fear or some some uh
[30:13] Speaker 1: you know, downside risk for some players like running back.
[30:16] Speaker 1: You have David Montgomery, who we talked about. You have
[30:18] Speaker 1: the new England backfield at wide receiver DeVante Smith. It
[30:21] Speaker 1: doesn't like very much the comps. Now the actual market
[30:24] Speaker 1: score doesn't mind him, but the comps don't, uh don't
[30:26] Speaker 1: love them Christian Watson, DJ Moore. But you can see
[30:29] Speaker 1: where these guys rank. It's just an interesting way of
[30:32] Speaker 1: looking at market score, you know, in a in a
[30:34] Speaker 1: different way that that I don't think is really out
[30:37] Speaker 1: there uh that much. I think like looking at comps
[30:40] Speaker 1: and seeing what goes on in history is always just
[30:42] Speaker 1: fun content.
[30:44] Speaker 3: Yeah, the uh, some of those Guys, if if you had,
[30:48] Speaker 3: if you're high on them, and you see them on
[30:50] Speaker 3: this list, you're like, uh, and the why are they
[30:53] Speaker 3: so far down?
[30:54] Speaker 4: Right?
[30:55] Speaker 1: Like AJ Brown Wide receiver? I love a J Brown
[30:57] Speaker 1: this year wide receiver eighteen. Yeah, I'm not ranking my
[30:59] Speaker 1: wide recis eighteen. It's just that Mon Raw at wide
[31:01] Speaker 1: receiver sixteen. Yeah, there's yeah.
[31:03] Speaker 4: I mean, like that's crazy, man.
[31:05] Speaker 1: That's not only not only that, it's crazy because like,
[31:07] Speaker 1: don't think that market score doesn't like these players, that
[31:10] Speaker 1: their projection is low. Uh, it's just saying that historically
[31:14] Speaker 1: there haven't been good top ten comps. There might be
[31:16] Speaker 1: good eleven to fifteen comps. You know, I have no
[31:19] Speaker 1: clue I lived the top ten. But it's just it's
[31:21] Speaker 1: just interesting thought, you know, like like yeah, like content
[31:25] Speaker 1: to chew on and to think about.
[31:28] Speaker 3: All right, let's get into the main event. It's the
[31:30] Speaker 3: late round main event, all right. The topic is training
[31:34] Speaker 3: camp sleepers for the main event JJ, And you're gonna
[31:37] Speaker 3: tell us what we're looking for.
[31:39] Speaker 1: So here's what I'm doing. I'm thinking about players who
[31:41] Speaker 1: we might see a lot of love for in the
[31:44] Speaker 1: media and from beat reporters and stuff. As training camp
[31:47] Speaker 1: gets going, and there I was thinking about like what
[31:50] Speaker 1: criteria should be looking at here, and the three criteria
[31:53] Speaker 1: that I thought of was there's an opening to showcase
[31:56] Speaker 1: their talent. So you know, maybe the wide receiver two
[31:59] Speaker 1: is injured or there's just no wide receiver too and
[32:01] Speaker 1: there's gonna be a battle for it. So there's some
[32:03] Speaker 1: some opening in the depth chart for these players to
[32:06] Speaker 1: do something. There's ambiguity surrounding the player himself and the
[32:10] Speaker 1: talent of that player. And then typically you'll see more
[32:13] Speaker 1: athletic players get a little bit more love and camp
[32:16] Speaker 1: because they're just athletic and spectacles to watch, right, So
[32:20] Speaker 1: those are the three things. It's openness or in opening
[32:23] Speaker 1: to showcase their talent. There's ambiguity surrounding that individual players talent,
[32:28] Speaker 1: and then there's athleticism. That's that's typically that that plus
[32:31] Speaker 1: for for these players.
[32:33] Speaker 4: So with that being said, I'm gonna just go with
[32:35] Speaker 4: the low hanging fruit one.
[32:36] Speaker 1: First. This one's fairly obvious, but Jonathan Brooks and I
[32:40] Speaker 1: don't have like this is very much more vibes based
[32:44] Speaker 1: than anything else.
[32:45] Speaker 4: You know, this is.
[32:46] Speaker 1: More of a I mean, I don't know how it
[32:48] Speaker 1: wouldn't be vibes based when when this is the topic.
[32:52] Speaker 1: But I'll give you, guys my take on these players
[32:53] Speaker 1: as I talk about them. So, like the notes in
[32:55] Speaker 1: here aren't like super super detailed. But Jonathan Brooks, if
[33:00] Speaker 1: he steps into camp and he looks completely healthy, I
[33:06] Speaker 1: don't see how his ADP doesn't continue to go up.
[33:08] Speaker 1: I mean it went up a little bit, but like
[33:10] Speaker 1: you're still getting him on DraftKings, for instance, at like
[33:13] Speaker 1: the nine to ten turn pretty frequently, or into the
[33:16] Speaker 1: tenth rounds sometimes, where I think that you can get
[33:19] Speaker 1: them a lot earlier than that. You know, I look
[33:20] Speaker 1: at my rankings. I have him at RB thirty two
[33:24] Speaker 1: right now, which is way higher than where you'll get
[33:26] Speaker 1: him on ESPN and Yahoo where Over on Yahoo he
[33:32] Speaker 1: is RB thirty nine. ESPN he's also RB thirty nine.
[33:36] Speaker 1: So I think that, Like, again, the way that I
[33:38] Speaker 1: like look at these players in rankings and in fantasy
[33:42] Speaker 1: drafts is like, if you're in round eight to ten,
[33:46] Speaker 1: you should not be worried about the floor outcome, and
[33:48] Speaker 1: the ceiling outcome is pretty crazy for Jonathan Brooks when
[33:52] Speaker 1: you consider last year their backup, Carolina's backup took over
[33:57] Speaker 1: Touba Hubbard as starter like he took that job. Like
[34:00] Speaker 1: we've seen this happened before in the same offense with
[34:05] Speaker 1: the same coach, so don't think that it can't happen
[34:07] Speaker 1: again now. The difference this year is that Chuba Hubbard
[34:10] Speaker 1: is going later than he was last year. Last year
[34:12] Speaker 1: he was a fade. This year it's not so obvious
[34:14] Speaker 1: because he's not going as early. But I do think
[34:17] Speaker 1: that Brooks and Cuba on those main sites should be
[34:19] Speaker 1: closer together. It's not going to shock me. In a
[34:23] Speaker 1: best ball environment where you get a lot of slappies
[34:25] Speaker 1: and you get a lot of people who are, you know,
[34:28] Speaker 1: wanting to be the smartest person in the room, it
[34:31] Speaker 1: wouldn't shock me if by mid August Jonathan Brooks is
[34:34] Speaker 1: being drafted head of Chuba Hubbard.
[34:37] Speaker 4: I don't think it would shock me. Just based on steam.
[34:41] Speaker 3: Yeah, some highlights and and we'll get there this summer.
[34:45] Speaker 3: Another guy who's crazy, explosive athletic and who's been steamed
[34:52] Speaker 3: up a little bit and we have some positive training
[34:54] Speaker 3: reports is Rashid Shahi.
[34:57] Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm like four or five wide receiver spots ahead
[35:00] Speaker 1: of the market with Shaheed. This year, he joined Seattle
[35:03] Speaker 1: last year, he only had a two thirds route share
[35:06] Speaker 1: sixty seven percent route share once he joined Seattle. I
[35:10] Speaker 1: think he'll end up being more of a full time player.
[35:12] Speaker 1: He's had a career one point seventy five yards barrow
[35:15] Speaker 1: run rate some seasons over the two mark. His rookie
[35:17] Speaker 1: season was incredible in terms of the big playability. He
[35:21] Speaker 1: was able to take away volume from Chris A Lave
[35:24] Speaker 1: last year, which is not nothing because obviously a Lave
[35:26] Speaker 1: like right when Shaheed left, is when the Lave rocket shipped,
[35:30] Speaker 1: you know, to fantasy football greatness in that offense, and
[35:33] Speaker 1: so a lot of people will credit it to Tyler Shuck,
[35:37] Speaker 1: but I think it's just as much rashid Hiheed and
[35:39] Speaker 1: the lack of competition for him to be able to
[35:40] Speaker 1: get as big of a target share as he did
[35:42] Speaker 1: down the stretch. I also have the take that I
[35:45] Speaker 1: think Seattle is going to be forced to throw the
[35:47] Speaker 1: ball a little bit more this year because the defense
[35:49] Speaker 1: more than likely won't be as efficient as it was
[35:51] Speaker 1: last year, because it's going to be very difficult for
[35:53] Speaker 1: it to be as efficient as it was last year.
[35:55] Speaker 1: So that to me, is going to combat the JSN
[35:58] Speaker 1: regression a little bit, and it can help a guy
[36:01] Speaker 1: like Rashid Shaheed. You know, if he carves out like
[36:03] Speaker 1: a eighteen to twenty percent target share in the offense,
[36:06] Speaker 1: which is very doable. If he is running more routes
[36:09] Speaker 1: and more close to that like eighty five to ninety
[36:10] Speaker 1: percent route cherry range. All of a sudden, you're talking,
[36:14] Speaker 1: you know, a couple of big plays. He could be
[36:16] Speaker 1: a low end wide receiver three in fantasy like pretty easily.
[36:19] Speaker 1: So I think he's a good pick right now. And
[36:21] Speaker 1: I would not be shocked if we get more and
[36:22] Speaker 1: more positive reports about Shaheed, his speed, how he opens
[36:26] Speaker 1: up the offense. I was gonna play more and that's
[36:28] Speaker 1: gonna just increase his ADP.
[36:31] Speaker 3: Kay, next guy, you've come around on a little bit.
[36:34] Speaker 3: Zacharia Branch with the Falcons.
[36:37] Speaker 1: Yeah, I look, it was. It was weird because I
[36:41] Speaker 1: thought I was gonna be so much lower than the
[36:42] Speaker 1: market on Branch in rookie drafts, and then I was
[36:45] Speaker 1: basically at the market with Branch in terms of how
[36:48] Speaker 1: I ranked him. But look, from a prospecting profile standpoint,
[36:52] Speaker 1: the TLDR is that Zachariah Branch is really athletic and twitchy,
[36:58] Speaker 1: but he's gadgety.
[36:59] Speaker 3: You know.
[36:59] Speaker 1: A lot of his college production came behind the line
[37:02] Speaker 1: of scrimmage.
[37:02] Speaker 4: It was kind of manufactured. He doesn't have.
[37:05] Speaker 1: The full route tree, you know, under his belt, and
[37:07] Speaker 1: he doesn't have that ability to run that just yet.
[37:10] Speaker 1: But again, you think about the type of the archetype
[37:14] Speaker 1: of player that he is, speedy, twitchy. That is the
[37:18] Speaker 1: training camp you know, like the training camp archetype that
[37:23] Speaker 1: you know is going to end up just just being
[37:25] Speaker 1: boosted by beat.
[37:26] Speaker 4: Reporters and such.
[37:27] Speaker 1: And there's no locked in wide receiver two in Atlanta
[37:30] Speaker 1: right now. So I think that he's going to rise
[37:33] Speaker 1: in ADP over the next three weeks.
[37:36] Speaker 3: Okay, next we have cover boy t for Terrence Ferguson
[37:41] Speaker 3: with the Rams.
[37:42] Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, look, I love Terrence Ferguson, loved him
[37:44] Speaker 1: as a prospect last year. There's no wide receiver three
[37:46] Speaker 1: on this team on this on this RAMS team, there's
[37:49] Speaker 1: no one that's like reliable as like a slot player.
[37:51] Speaker 1: And last year he played by far the most in
[37:53] Speaker 1: the slot of all of the RAMS tight ends. He
[37:55] Speaker 1: had a fifty percent slot rate that was double every
[37:58] Speaker 1: other RAMS tight end. He's an athletic freak. He's a
[38:02] Speaker 1: year two guy. They run a lot of heavy personnel.
[38:04] Speaker 1: You know, you're gonna see a lot of two three
[38:07] Speaker 1: tight end sets. I think that we're gonna see articles
[38:10] Speaker 1: and we've kind of seen them, but not a ton
[38:13] Speaker 1: where we're gonna we're gonna hear them. Say Terrence Ferguson
[38:17] Speaker 1: is the de facto wide receiver three in the Rams offense,
[38:19] Speaker 1: and that alone is gonna boost him over you know,
[38:22] Speaker 1: the more stable guys like a Jawan Johnson or something
[38:25] Speaker 1: like that from an ADP standpoint into maybe that like
[38:28] Speaker 1: tight end sixteen to eighteen range as opposed to you know,
[38:32] Speaker 1: more in the the low twenties.
[38:35] Speaker 3: Yeah, this is why if like, because some people were
[38:38] Speaker 3: talking about the Rams getting one of these bit receivers
[38:42] Speaker 3: as their wide receiver three.
[38:43] Speaker 1: Yeah, like that's another one like Diggs. Diggs could end
[38:45] Speaker 1: up going there, and it would it would probably be
[38:47] Speaker 1: not great for best ball bags.
[38:49] Speaker 4: It would be fine, more neutral.
[38:51] Speaker 1: But we're hoping if you've been drafting step On Diggs,
[38:53] Speaker 1: you're hoping that he get he goes somewhere like Washington
[38:55] Speaker 1: and ends up as like a ninth round pick as
[38:57] Speaker 1: opposed to a twelve round one.
[38:59] Speaker 3: Yeah, regardless of where he goes, he's going to be
[39:01] Speaker 3: steamed up a little bit. This guy we talked about
[39:04] Speaker 3: internally and the I was talking with Branda Doula about
[39:10] Speaker 3: I need to get more exposure to Tank Dell at Bhils,
[39:12] Speaker 3: like because if that highlight clip of him last week
[39:18] Speaker 3: or this week, he's cutting and everything else. I mean,
[39:23] Speaker 3: he's he's like a seventeenth eighteenth round pick right now.
[39:27] Speaker 1: Yeah, I think he's fine to throw a dart out.
[39:29] Speaker 1: I like Jalen Nole too. I liked him as a
[39:31] Speaker 1: prospect as well. And I'm actually ahead of the market
[39:34] Speaker 1: on on Jayden Higgins a little bit just because I
[39:37] Speaker 1: think he's he's like a really solid player, like he's
[39:39] Speaker 1: a he's a like I'm not taking Shaheed over or
[39:42] Speaker 1: I'm not taking him over Shaheed. But I do think
[39:44] Speaker 1: that that Higgins is a good player himself. But the
[39:47] Speaker 1: Tank Dell stuff, if he looks like his old self,
[39:50] Speaker 1: his ADP is going to go up. The one thing
[39:52] Speaker 1: that I want to say about Tank Dell is there
[39:54] Speaker 1: is this narrative out there that CJ. Shroud has only
[39:57] Speaker 1: been bad because Tank Dell hasn't been healthy and if
[40:00] Speaker 1: you'll get his rookie year. Yeah, sure, like it helps
[40:02] Speaker 1: because he had a good rookie season. If you'll get
[40:05] Speaker 1: his second year.
[40:05] Speaker 3: C J.
[40:06] Speaker 4: Stroud, he was just bad in general.
[40:09] Speaker 3: Uh.
[40:09] Speaker 1: He averaged thirteen point two standard points per game with
[40:13] Speaker 1: Tank Dell in twenty twenty four, and then the three
[40:15] Speaker 1: games without him was a couple points below that. He
[40:17] Speaker 1: was just bad in general. He's just been bad the
[40:20] Speaker 1: last two years. C J.
[40:21] Speaker 4: Stroud has nothing to do with Tank Dell.
[40:23] Speaker 1: It has to do with the fact that he's not
[40:24] Speaker 1: been a good quarterback and that offensive line has sucked
[40:27] Speaker 1: and the coordinators haven't necessarily meshed well. So I don't
[40:32] Speaker 1: want to overstate what Tank Dell does for CJ. Stroud,
[40:35] Speaker 1: but I do think that there's a very real chance
[40:37] Speaker 1: we see him get steamed up here in late late
[40:40] Speaker 1: July and into August.
[40:42] Speaker 3: Some talented receivers, obviously they're in Houston. I'm just beginning
[40:48] Speaker 3: to think maybe c J. Stroud has a comeback year
[40:52] Speaker 3: this year.
[40:53] Speaker 4: We'll see raft.
[40:54] Speaker 3: I mean I've drafted him, and yeah, I have not
[40:56] Speaker 3: drafted as much of him because he's in that same
[40:58] Speaker 3: tier as mister camp Ward. Uh yeah, of course, Yeah, there.
[41:04] Speaker 1: You gotta gotta you gotta ignore one bad quarterback for
[41:06] Speaker 1: another bad quarterback.
[41:08] Speaker 3: I will not take any CG awardslander, especially after quarterback.
[41:14] Speaker 3: All Right, MacKaye Fields, this Giants offense is speaking of
[41:19] Speaker 3: wide receiver rooms. We have no clue really what to expect. Yeah,
[41:24] Speaker 3: and you have MacKaye Fields on the list.
[41:27] Speaker 1: I don't think.
[41:28] Speaker 4: Fields is that good of a prospect.
[41:30] Speaker 1: I think as separation issues he had, he had really
[41:33] Speaker 1: mediocre aged justic collegiate production.
[41:35] Speaker 4: He played five years in college.
[41:38] Speaker 1: Uh, and it's just never really like his production profile
[41:40] Speaker 1: is just never Studeley. And so I don't think he's
[41:42] Speaker 1: gonna be Studeley in the NFL. That being said, there
[41:45] Speaker 1: is an opening. And he's not a speed freak, but
[41:47] Speaker 1: he's a size freak, and so I think there's a
[41:50] Speaker 1: very real chance we get some videos of him mossing
[41:53] Speaker 1: defenders and all of a sudden, we get the hype
[41:56] Speaker 1: train going about how.
[41:57] Speaker 4: He's gonna be using the red zone.
[41:58] Speaker 1: And uh, you know, he's a He's a good asset
[42:02] Speaker 1: from that perspective, which obviously will lead to being more
[42:04] Speaker 1: productive and fantasy football. And so I've actually been drafting
[42:08] Speaker 1: like I'll get naked Jackson Dart and I'll just get
[42:10] Speaker 1: Malchi Fields in round twenty, you know, just to get
[42:14] Speaker 1: some piece of that offense with him, because I think
[42:16] Speaker 1: that they'll end up using him, you know, throughout the season,
[42:19] Speaker 1: especially with with the the injury to neighbors. So watch
[42:21] Speaker 1: out for fields given that size and how they might
[42:24] Speaker 1: deploy him in the red zone. All right, Jonah Coleman, Yeah, yeah,
[42:32] Speaker 1: I'm on an island with Jonah Coleman.
[42:34] Speaker 3: Say, yeah, it's uh.
[42:38] Speaker 1: No one likes Jonah Coleman because there's two guys ahead
[42:41] Speaker 1: of him on the depth shot.
[42:42] Speaker 4: And I don't mind RJ.
[42:42] Speaker 1: Harvey either. I've become a Harvey bro based on how
[42:45] Speaker 1: his ADP's fallen. But Jonah Coleman is a backup to
[42:49] Speaker 1: both JK. Dobbins and R J.
[42:52] Speaker 2: Harvey.
[42:53] Speaker 1: Right, you can play an early down role. He did
[42:55] Speaker 1: that throughout college. He was a really goodass catcher. He's
[42:57] Speaker 1: good in pass pro. Like there's he's a he's a
[42:59] Speaker 1: j We said this on becoming a best ball bro.
[43:02] Speaker 1: He's a jack of all trades, master of none, and
[43:04] Speaker 1: that can be fine in an environment where you have
[43:07] Speaker 1: a veteran running back who's been hurt throughout his career
[43:10] Speaker 1: and a very volatile.
[43:12] Speaker 4: Second year running back in RJ. Harvey.
[43:13] Speaker 1: I think that they wanted a player who was a
[43:15] Speaker 1: little bit more stable, which is what you get with
[43:18] Speaker 1: Jonah Coleman. And so to me, the instant that you
[43:21] Speaker 1: hear from beat reporters that he's going to be mixed
[43:24] Speaker 1: in with the first team, he's one of those players
[43:26] Speaker 1: that can rise in ADP because all of a sudden,
[43:28] Speaker 1: you're like, oh, he might have some standalone value in
[43:31] Speaker 1: Best Ball if things just kind of go his way
[43:33] Speaker 1: in a given game, because he might see five to
[43:35] Speaker 1: seven touches or something. But also there's multiple contingent outs
[43:38] Speaker 1: for him if if one of those two guys gets hurt.
[43:41] Speaker 1: So I think Jonah Coleman was a good prospect, and
[43:43] Speaker 1: I think he's underrated in Best Ball right now.
[43:45] Speaker 4: And you know, and I.
[43:46] Speaker 1: Wrote about this in the Draft Guy, like I would
[43:48] Speaker 1: only draft him in season long if it's like a
[43:50] Speaker 1: deep bench type of situation. But I still think that
[43:53] Speaker 1: he is draftable in that kind of environment as well.
[43:57] Speaker 3: Yeah, for me right now, the guy, because I I've
[44:00] Speaker 3: even been getting some RJ. Harvey. We've talked about Harvey
[44:03] Speaker 3: a lot on the show. The one guy I haven't
[44:05] Speaker 3: been getting in this offense is JK Dobbins.
[44:08] Speaker 4: I haven't been drafting Dobbins.
[44:09] Speaker 3: No.
[44:10] Speaker 1: I think it's completely defensible. Like to me, there is
[44:13] Speaker 1: no reason in season long. If you look at JK Dobbins,
[44:16] Speaker 1: I'll do it right now because I have the Yahoo
[44:19] Speaker 1: and the ESPN ADP. Yahoo has him met RB thirty five,
[44:23] Speaker 1: ESPN RB thirty three. And then if you look at
[44:26] Speaker 1: Jordan Mason, Yaho hasn't met RB forty four, ESPN RB
[44:31] Speaker 1: forty six. And to me, it's the exact same archetype.
[44:34] Speaker 1: Archetype like, it's the exact same type of player. You
[44:36] Speaker 1: get an early down grinder, and you could argue that
[44:38] Speaker 1: Jordan Mason has easier competition in his backfield than JK
[44:42] Speaker 1: Dobbins does. Dobbins was not used at all as a
[44:45] Speaker 1: receiver last year, and so you know, was he good
[44:48] Speaker 1: on the ground. Yeah, but we know that he's coming
[44:50] Speaker 1: off an injury. He's often injured himself, and he's not
[44:54] Speaker 1: a pass catcher. And there's now a Jonah Coleman factor
[44:58] Speaker 1: that maybe he sees no work, but there's the chance
[45:00] Speaker 1: he sees some I don't see what the upside is
[45:03] Speaker 1: with JK. Dobbins. I just don't get it, and people
[45:05] Speaker 1: are drafting him as high as like RB thirty, and
[45:08] Speaker 1: I just I can't get behind that because the pass
[45:10] Speaker 1: catching profile is not there and people are gonna hate
[45:12] Speaker 1: on that because they're like, oh, you just care about
[45:14] Speaker 1: pass catching Stuff's like, no, you can arbitrage this kind
[45:17] Speaker 1: of player.
[45:17] Speaker 4: That's my point.
[45:18] Speaker 1: You can get a Jordan Mason fifty picks later on
[45:22] Speaker 1: a platform like ESPN. There's no reason to reach for
[45:24] Speaker 1: a guy like Dobbins.
[45:27] Speaker 3: Okay, his next guy's been steamed up already in the
[45:30] Speaker 3: best ball circles, but redraft might be lagging just a
[45:33] Speaker 3: little bit. It's eighty Mitchell wide receiver for the Jets.
[45:36] Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I think we're gonna get reports that
[45:37] Speaker 1: he's out there in two wide receiver sets, that he's
[45:39] Speaker 1: their number two wide receiver. Omar Cooper's more of a
[45:42] Speaker 1: slock guy for them, and we know the athleticisms there.
[45:45] Speaker 1: I mean, he's actually not been that bad on a
[45:47] Speaker 1: per route run basis throughout his career, and so I
[45:51] Speaker 1: think that he's not a terrible dart if you want
[45:54] Speaker 1: to look his way in a deeper format. I've definitely
[45:56] Speaker 1: drafted him in Best Ball plenty, but I think there's
[45:58] Speaker 1: a real chance that we see him sort of get
[46:01] Speaker 1: closer to where Omar Cooper's going and maybe.
[46:03] Speaker 4: Even flip by the time training camp is done.
[46:07] Speaker 3: Okay, Next on the list, we have Elijah Saratz, the
[46:11] Speaker 3: wide receiver for the Ravens.
[46:14] Speaker 4: Yes.
[46:15] Speaker 1: Uh, this one is very simply. Elijah Surrat really profiled
[46:22] Speaker 1: as a slot guy, a big slot.
[46:24] Speaker 3: You know.
[46:25] Speaker 1: I remember having a text conversation with Harmon back in
[46:28] Speaker 1: February when I was doing some of my prospect breakdowns,
[46:32] Speaker 1: and I told him that Elijah Surrat was getting like
[46:36] Speaker 1: Michael Thomas and Pat Bryant type comps, and then Harmon
[46:40] Speaker 1: mentioned to me that when he watched him, he couldn't
[46:43] Speaker 1: get off the vibe and the idea that he was
[46:44] Speaker 1: more of a big slot. Now, Harmon said that before
[46:47] Speaker 1: about players, and he's he's been right like Keon Coleman,
[46:50] Speaker 1: he called a big slot, and we see that lack
[46:52] Speaker 1: of separation on the outside from Keon Coleman, and I
[46:55] Speaker 1: think Harmon nailed that right, and I think that we
[46:57] Speaker 1: could see a very similar situation here, except hopefully you
[47:00] Speaker 1: have a smarter staff in front office saying yeah, we're
[47:03] Speaker 1: going to deploy him that way because we lost Isaiah
[47:05] Speaker 1: likely and we need more of a presence in the
[47:07] Speaker 1: middle of the field alongside Mark Andrews. And if that happens,
[47:11] Speaker 1: I think people are gonna get more excited about Surat
[47:13] Speaker 1: because when you get a late round pick and you
[47:15] Speaker 1: can attach him to a certain role in an offense,
[47:17] Speaker 1: and that role might be you know, not like thirteen
[47:21] Speaker 1: fourteen PPR points per game, but a role that could
[47:23] Speaker 1: see some spiked weeks, it's going to excite people.
[47:25] Speaker 3: And I think that we can see that with a
[47:26] Speaker 3: player like Sarat sure handed, big wide receiver for sure.
[47:31] Speaker 3: Speaking of sure handed, big burly, just amazing tight end.
[47:38] Speaker 3: Gunner Helm next on this list.
[47:40] Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, the athleticism is in I'm just kidding,
[47:43] Speaker 1: so yeah, I mean gunner Helm had horrible athleticism scores
[47:46] Speaker 1: because he got hurt, you know, in the in the drills.
[47:50] Speaker 3: And still ran, still ran with a busted ankle. Look
[47:53] Speaker 3: at the riding of four to nine, Look at the
[47:56] Speaker 3: picture with him and that ankle, and think could a
[47:59] Speaker 3: regular human do this?
[48:00] Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, I mean I don't even care about that
[48:02] Speaker 1: stuff to be to be fair, what I do care
[48:05] Speaker 1: about is with late round tight ends, you often want
[48:08] Speaker 1: an open pass catching room where we don't know exactly
[48:11] Speaker 1: you know, more ambiguous, right, we don't know exactly how
[48:13] Speaker 1: targets are gonna get distributed. I think we kind of
[48:15] Speaker 1: have that in Tennessee right now. There's no tight end
[48:18] Speaker 1: that he's really competing with. They did get Daniel Bellinger,
[48:21] Speaker 1: you know, a Brian Dable fave, but he's not that
[48:25] Speaker 1: much of a threat from like a pure pass catching standpoint.
[48:28] Speaker 1: So I think if there's some chatter about him being
[48:30] Speaker 1: a top target on the team, which I think is
[48:32] Speaker 1: very possible, Gunnerhelm could could rise a little bit.
[48:36] Speaker 4: In ADP.
[48:37] Speaker 1: I'm definitely head of the market right now with with Helme.
[48:39] Speaker 1: I don't even think he's ranked on some of the
[48:40] Speaker 1: big platforms.
[48:42] Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, Last on this list we have Demon Claiborne.
[48:46] Speaker 3: And then I want to ask you about a guy
[48:48] Speaker 3: who I think could be on this list.
[48:50] Speaker 4: Yeah, there's a lot that I could have thrown out there.
[48:52] Speaker 1: So if I miss somebody, you know, it's definitely possible
[48:56] Speaker 1: that I just you know, like I like that person
[48:58] Speaker 1: as a candidate as well. Well, but yeah, I mean, look,
[49:01] Speaker 1: I've I've been on oddly team Jordan Mason this summer
[49:05] Speaker 1: now for the last few weeks, like a month or so,
[49:08] Speaker 1: and it's a weird place for me to be because
[49:11] Speaker 1: I've not been on Team Jordan Mason in the past.
[49:13] Speaker 1: And I but I still recognize that Mason is not
[49:17] Speaker 1: necessarily like a complete running back. He certainly doesn't have
[49:21] Speaker 1: the pass catching chops right. And then Aaron Jones is
[49:25] Speaker 1: older and again a guy near and dear to my
[49:27] Speaker 1: heart for a lot of reasons.
[49:29] Speaker 4: But he's older and.
[49:31] Speaker 1: Definitely looks like he's he's lost a little bit of
[49:33] Speaker 1: a step, you know. Thirty two beat writers friend of
[49:35] Speaker 1: the show on Twitter, they had posted a quote that
[49:40] Speaker 1: says Demon Claiborne about demonk Claiborne's his executives, coaches, and
[49:45] Speaker 1: teammates quietly raved about his movement skills this spring.
[49:49] Speaker 4: This is where it was kind of funny, though.
[49:50] Speaker 1: It says, if he can master the system, pass protection
[49:54] Speaker 1: rules and ball security, buckle your seatbelt. So it's like
[49:58] Speaker 1: I can, if he can play the running acquisition, watch out, guys.
[50:02] Speaker 1: But though like the reason that you get excited about
[50:04] Speaker 1: DeMont Claiborne from an adp rising perspective is because it's
[50:07] Speaker 1: an ambiguous backfield with a very clear opening, and demon
[50:11] Speaker 1: Claiborne is at the very least very athletic. He ran
[50:14] Speaker 1: a fourth three seven forty. He had a pretty good
[50:16] Speaker 1: pass catching profile. I think he's more of a threat
[50:19] Speaker 1: to Aaron Jones in the role that Jones plays in
[50:21] Speaker 1: that offense. But even still, you know, if we could
[50:25] Speaker 1: get a you know, five to six percent target share
[50:29] Speaker 1: and you know, like maybe we get like eight touches
[50:32] Speaker 1: a game towards the middle of the season and that
[50:35] Speaker 1: that slowly climbs the double digits towards the end of
[50:37] Speaker 1: the season.
[50:38] Speaker 4: I think that's possible for him. I don't think that he.
[50:41] Speaker 1: Is a true bell cow back though he's a very
[50:44] Speaker 1: small running back, like he's sub one ninety. I don't
[50:48] Speaker 1: think that we're going to see that kind of role
[50:50] Speaker 1: with him. But when he was drafted, I think I
[50:52] Speaker 1: mentioned like he he pairs really well with Jordan Mason,
[50:55] Speaker 1: like realistically similar to how I think Aaron Jones in
[50:58] Speaker 1: a hypothetical world pairs well with Jordan Mason. So we'll
[51:01] Speaker 1: see what happens. But he's definitely a player that is
[51:03] Speaker 1: going to get steamed. I think of all these guys
[51:05] Speaker 1: on this list, he's probably top three for me that
[51:07] Speaker 1: will get a lot of love as training camp goes on.
[51:10] Speaker 3: Did you see our buddy Pat Thorman? He tweeted yesterday
[51:14] Speaker 3: the athletic might have hung the most, but she's got
[51:17] Speaker 3: a great personality. Blurb ever on Aaron Jones, and the
[51:21] Speaker 3: blurb was, if you pulled NFL players, Jones may rank
[51:24] Speaker 3: in the top five with the nicest and most respected.
[51:27] Speaker 1: Yeah. Right, I mean it's not it's I've said this before,
[51:31] Speaker 1: and like you know, I like throwing these kind of
[51:32] Speaker 1: like stories out there. But like when I first started prospecting,
[51:35] Speaker 1: it was the year I think it's twenty seventeen. It
[51:37] Speaker 1: was his class. That's when I first started like vaguely prospecting,
[51:41] Speaker 1: and the stuff that I was working on loved Aaron Jones.
[51:44] Speaker 1: So I followed him really early when he had like
[51:46] Speaker 1: five thousand followers on Twitter, and he followed me back.
[51:48] Speaker 1: And so like every I know, I've told this story before,
[51:51] Speaker 1: but every time there's like a chart or something that
[51:54] Speaker 1: I post where it's negative about Aaron Jones and someone
[51:57] Speaker 1: like tags him or something like that I can always
[52:00] Speaker 1: be like, you know, I'm an og and he's like, yeah, you're.
[52:02] Speaker 3: You're good, all right, some guys that might not be
[52:07] Speaker 3: on this list. I'm interested in the the two rookie
[52:12] Speaker 3: tight ends, with Sadiq and Stours both being potential guys
[52:18] Speaker 3: that I mean Stowars has just fallen off the board now.
[52:22] Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean there was reports about him just like
[52:24] Speaker 1: having like a red shirt season essentially.
[52:27] Speaker 3: Right, and we don't know that's for sure at all.
[52:29] Speaker 3: I mean, that's that is Stowars.
[52:31] Speaker 4: That's really interesting to me.
[52:32] Speaker 1: Is that like that Again, this goes back to when
[52:34] Speaker 1: we were doing the prospecting work and it was always lost.
[52:37] Speaker 1: But Stowars is like like a lot older than Kenyan Sidik,
[52:42] Speaker 1: and so you don't want that to happen for Eli Stowers.
[52:46] Speaker 1: You don't want this rookie season to be one where
[52:49] Speaker 1: he doesn't get any production because that's typically a pretty
[52:52] Speaker 1: rough sign for a guy who's a little bit older.
[52:55] Speaker 3: They already knew he couldn't block, but you don't have to.
[52:58] Speaker 3: You don't have to flock if you're a past catching
[53:01] Speaker 3: tight end and if they're you know, this new system
[53:04] Speaker 3: with hurts, I'm anxious to see where Stours is. And
[53:07] Speaker 3: same with Sadik, because people are out on Sadik and
[53:10] Speaker 3: it has been playing.
[53:11] Speaker 4: I mean, he's been hurt and so when he had
[53:13] Speaker 4: the like hernia and.
[53:15] Speaker 1: So we'll see. Like I I've been drafting Sadik. I
[53:19] Speaker 1: think that that he's actually not a bad pick. It's
[53:21] Speaker 1: just that some of these platforms like an ESPN has
[53:23] Speaker 1: n't at a reasonable price. So I I you know,
[53:26] Speaker 1: I haven't called him out as like a Late Round Darthrow.
[53:29] Speaker 3: All right, let's wrap up this show.
[53:34] Speaker 1: All right.
[53:34] Speaker 3: Just as a reminder, we have the Late Round dot com,
[53:39] Speaker 3: the new and improved website where you can sign up
[53:42] Speaker 3: for newsletter. Our guy Brandon Godola has a new one
[53:46] Speaker 3: coming out. I think it's going to be coming out
[53:47] Speaker 3: tomorrow morning. Last week was great on the offensive coordinator stuff.
[53:51] Speaker 3: He's going to continue that tomorrow. So if you're in,
[53:55] Speaker 3: if you're into just like getting back into the groove
[53:57] Speaker 3: of things, sign up for the newsletter on Late Round.
[54:01] Speaker 3: It's free. And then also we have the draft guide
[54:05] Speaker 3: available to purchase and the new all Access plan, And
[54:08] Speaker 3: on that all access plan for three hundred and sixty
[54:10] Speaker 3: five days, you get all the membership perks like being
[54:13] Speaker 3: in a discord rankings year round, that sort of thing.
[54:16] Speaker 3: You also get access to both of our guides for
[54:19] Speaker 3: as long as you are subscribed. JJ.
[54:22] Speaker 1: Yes. Yes. And someone's asking a question about the Draft
[54:25] Speaker 1: Guide saying, will you be removing any of your targets
[54:27] Speaker 1: from your Draft Guide if ADP shifts enough. The answer
[54:30] Speaker 1: is absolutely yes. I update blurs, I'll remove players, I'll
[54:35] Speaker 1: add updates to the blurs to say this is how
[54:38] Speaker 1: I'm feeling about this guy.
[54:39] Speaker 3: Now.
[54:39] Speaker 4: There's just right now, not enough movement going on in
[54:42] Speaker 4: ADP for me to really like.
[54:45] Speaker 1: If there's any changes to players and targets, players to
[54:47] Speaker 1: target and avoid.
[54:48] Speaker 4: It's based on.
[54:49] Speaker 1: My own research as opposed to the market shifting, because
[54:52] Speaker 1: the market's just not moving that much right though.
[54:53] Speaker 3: We're right now in like the speculation phase.
[54:56] Speaker 1: Yeah, in two weeks is going to be different, right,
[54:58] Speaker 1: There's gonna be a lot more movement.
[55:00] Speaker 3: Completely different, all right. Also, again, we are doing some
[55:05] Speaker 3: live drafts on this channel, so make sure if you
[55:08] Speaker 3: have notifications turned on, like subscribe, all that sort of thing.
[55:12] Speaker 3: We want to give a shout out to the Draft
[55:14] Speaker 3: Kings Provo Code late round. They have to Draft one,
[55:16] Speaker 3: Get one. They are good sponsors of this show and
[55:22] Speaker 3: we appreciate them. So get in. Get in there, and
[55:26] Speaker 3: if you are a member, join the Best Ball Chat
[55:29] Speaker 3: in the discord because we're gonna be doing some stuff.
[55:33] Speaker 3: More stuff in there, JJ, We've got Fantasy Football Expo
[55:38] Speaker 3: this weekend. You and I. I'm actually going to be
[55:42] Speaker 3: doing some drafts this year. Last year I just watched you.
[55:45] Speaker 3: I sat in my chair and I watched you doing
[55:47] Speaker 3: your drafts. This year, I'll be doing my own drafts.
[55:51] Speaker 4: You're in the You're in the Jim Brown Division, Yeah.
[55:54] Speaker 3: Nond division.
[55:57] Speaker 1: I can't remember if I'm Brown or Blanded, but I'm
[55:59] Speaker 1: in the So if you guys are at the expo,
[56:02] Speaker 1: if you go to the Hall of Fame on Saturday,
[56:06] Speaker 1: there will be various rooms where one room in the
[56:10] Speaker 1: in the room that I'll be in where we're drafting,
[56:12] Speaker 1: we'll have like serious XM set up and stuff like that.
[56:15] Speaker 1: And then there's a room next to it, which is
[56:16] Speaker 1: where kitchen will be drafting, where you'll get to see
[56:19] Speaker 1: not only the drafts go down, but there's auctioneers for
[56:22] Speaker 1: the auction draft, so we do a snake draft, have lunch,
[56:25] Speaker 1: and then do an auction draft, so we're literally drafting
[56:28] Speaker 1: for like nine straight hours. But it's funny because Bob Lung,
[56:32] Speaker 1: who runs the expo, he randomly assigned picks and draft
[56:38] Speaker 1: slots for us, and it just so happens that in
[56:41] Speaker 1: the Snake draft in our divisions, Kitchen and I both
[56:44] Speaker 1: drew the.
[56:45] Speaker 4: One oh one.
[56:45] Speaker 1: So I haven't gotten the one on one in Best Ball,
[56:47] Speaker 1: but I got it in this, which I'll take. I'll
[56:49] Speaker 1: take that.
[56:49] Speaker 3: Yeah, pick, look, especially in fourteen teen leagues, is is good.
[56:55] Speaker 3: I also want to shout outs Petrip who says definitely
[56:59] Speaker 3: gonna be there next year. He also sent me a
[57:03] Speaker 3: master's hat, so shout out to to feature if I
[57:06] Speaker 3: warred on last last week's stream when I was drafting
[57:10] Speaker 3: on the show.
[57:10] Speaker 1: We also got we also got j Bolt, who will
[57:12] Speaker 1: be there this weekend.
[57:14] Speaker 3: Yes, we have. We have a few members that are
[57:16] Speaker 3: going to be there this weekend.
[57:17] Speaker 1: I yeah, it's gonna be great.
[57:20] Speaker 4: It's a great time. It's a great time.
[57:21] Speaker 3: It's gonna be a fun time. This was also a
[57:24] Speaker 3: fun time JJ, and we appreciate everyone for tuning in
[57:28] Speaker 3: and uh, you know, getting down and nerdy with us
[57:31] Speaker 3: on this show, and we'll see you next time here
[57:34] Speaker 3: on the Late Round Fantasy Football show, a
