[0:07] Speaker 1: Late Round Fantasy Football YouTube channel YouTube dot com. Slash
[0:11] Speaker 1: at Late Round FF will be live each Wednesday at
[0:14] Speaker 1: noon Eastern without further ado.
[0:17] Speaker 2: Here's this week's.
[0:18] Speaker 3: Episode, Welcome In.
[0:32] Speaker 4: Welcome In. I don't know that was you know that transition.
[0:38] Speaker 4: I was like killing myself, like what do I like?
[0:40] Speaker 1: Gotta be gotta be bottom three intro for you on
[0:44] Speaker 1: the show.
[0:45] Speaker 4: It was it was I feel it felt like here's
[0:48] Speaker 4: what I felt it. I feel like Ron Burgundy a
[0:49] Speaker 4: little bit.
[0:50] Speaker 1: Fortunately, audio listeners will not hear that that intro because
[0:53] Speaker 1: you always for people who only listen to audio, Kitchen
[0:57] Speaker 1: just does like a very quick like welcome in type thing,
[0:59] Speaker 1: and and you know it says hi, and what we're
[1:01] Speaker 1: going to talk about? That one felt like because I've
[1:04] Speaker 1: been there, trust me, that one felt like you had
[1:07] Speaker 1: literally two you were thinking about something completely different while
[1:10] Speaker 1: you were talking about that, Like you were you were
[1:12] Speaker 1: thinking about your daughter's basketball camp or something while you
[1:16] Speaker 1: were doing that intro.
[1:18] Speaker 4: Well, we do a little bit behind the scenes.
[1:21] Speaker 1: I don't mean this is a bad way. I mean
[1:23] Speaker 1: I mean this in a constructive criticism.
[1:25] Speaker 4: When I usually give you a thumbs up, and so
[1:32] Speaker 4: I was going to give you a thumbs up, and
[1:33] Speaker 4: then I see you alive, and then it was like
[1:36] Speaker 4: I forged a little late.
[1:39] Speaker 2: So I was just trying to go as fast as
[1:40] Speaker 2: I could with this.
[1:41] Speaker 4: Yeah, so I like, in my mind I was thinking
[1:43] Speaker 4: of okay, because I always do welcome in, welcome in,
[1:46] Speaker 4: and the second part on the first part, it's what's
[1:48] Speaker 4: up everybody, And so that it threw me off. I'm sorry.
[1:53] Speaker 4: The good news, Hey, it'll get better from here.
[1:56] Speaker 1: The good news is that it doesn't matter because this
[1:58] Speaker 1: is the show that we just hang out and well
[2:00] Speaker 1: and we talked some ball.
[2:02] Speaker 2: You know what.
[2:02] Speaker 4: They're spreadsheets, Okay, just before we get into it, and
[2:08] Speaker 4: to need to let everybody know that they can go
[2:11] Speaker 4: to Lateround dot com for the membership, the all access membership.
[2:18] Speaker 4: People are loving it. You can also pre order the
[2:21] Speaker 4: Draft Guide and on that jj I will let you
[2:26] Speaker 4: make the big announcement for the draft guy this year. Yeah.
[2:29] Speaker 1: Look, so the Draft Guide has typically gone out of
[2:31] Speaker 1: July first. Historically, we've had a lot of change and
[2:34] Speaker 1: things going on with late round Fantasy Football this year,
[2:37] Speaker 1: with the cadula higher, with some introduction to some some metrics.
[2:43] Speaker 1: With big I mean, the biggest news being you know,
[2:45] Speaker 1: aside from Brandon, I mean the biggest product related news
[2:49] Speaker 1: being the website. And you know, there's been some work
[2:52] Speaker 1: done with that even after the website launch. It's not
[2:55] Speaker 1: like we like launched the website and now everything's done.
[2:58] Speaker 1: In fact, it's more stressful and tenuous now than it
[3:01] Speaker 1: was went like before the website launched.
[3:04] Speaker 2: So with all that being said, we need a little
[3:06] Speaker 2: bit of extra time.
[3:07] Speaker 1: Plus I think we should probably just do this moving
[3:10] Speaker 1: forward with the Draft guide in general, because every time
[3:14] Speaker 1: I publish the guide on July first, there's like an
[3:16] Speaker 1: immediate regret of some of the players that are like
[3:19] Speaker 1: listed in there and like, how we you know so early.
[3:22] Speaker 1: So the Draft Guide this year is being launched on
[3:24] Speaker 1: July tenth, and I understand if that is frustrating to
[3:29] Speaker 1: some people, but I want to make sure that what
[3:33] Speaker 1: you're getting is bigger and better than the last and
[3:37] Speaker 1: I think that the way to get to that point
[3:39] Speaker 1: is if you know, I'm just given that extra like
[3:42] Speaker 1: week and a half to make sure we're we're crossing
[3:45] Speaker 1: our t's and dotting our eyes and that the analysis
[3:48] Speaker 1: is up to the standard that you know, I try
[3:51] Speaker 1: to took place for the analysis.
[3:54] Speaker 2: That I do.
[3:54] Speaker 1: So draft Guide July tenth, you will get tons of
[3:59] Speaker 1: stuff in it. I mean, I'm already doing some analysis
[4:02] Speaker 1: on these positions, and it's different type of analysis and
[4:05] Speaker 1: I've done before. There's more information than we've ever done before.
[4:09] Speaker 1: And there's a different structure to this guide than the
[4:12] Speaker 1: previous guys that you guys have read that. I think
[4:14] Speaker 1: it's one of the reasons why I want to be
[4:16] Speaker 1: conservative with this launch date as opposed to just being like, yeah,
[4:20] Speaker 1: same date, because there is like brand new stuff in
[4:23] Speaker 1: a brand new.
[4:24] Speaker 4: We're rebuilding the Guide from the ground.
[4:26] Speaker 1: Up, yeah, essentially essentially, yes, and so I just want
[4:31] Speaker 1: to be smart with it, and the best way to
[4:33] Speaker 1: be smart with it is to make the official launch
[4:36] Speaker 1: date July tenth. You know, this is part of the
[4:38] Speaker 1: reason why last week we were talking like we didn't
[4:40] Speaker 1: have a true date necessarily, and it's really not going
[4:44] Speaker 1: to change I think anyone's plans in redrafting season long
[4:49] Speaker 1: this year, unless you were you know, on vacation wanting
[4:51] Speaker 1: to read something over the fourth of July. You know,
[4:53] Speaker 1: that's really what this comes down to. But now I
[4:55] Speaker 1: got that long weekend or you know that that holiday too,
[4:59] Speaker 1: you know, do a p raid, do some stuff with
[5:01] Speaker 1: the family, and then immediately go back to the office
[5:03] Speaker 1: and grind out some of this draft guid.
[5:06] Speaker 4: Yeah, and I honestly, I think that the weekend after
[5:09] Speaker 4: July fourth is a good time to release it. It's
[5:12] Speaker 4: still no one's drafting their redraft teams in the first
[5:17] Speaker 4: of July. Now, some people like to get, you know,
[5:19] Speaker 4: just like an early head start. I will say this though,
[5:23] Speaker 4: we have never put out as much free content as
[5:27] Speaker 4: we are doing right now. So between all the shows,
[5:31] Speaker 4: between all the newsletters, you are still going to get
[5:35] Speaker 4: your fill of pre season draft material to go.
[5:41] Speaker 2: Yeah, I promise yes.
[5:42] Speaker 1: And obviously people in chat are being very kind and
[5:45] Speaker 1: respect like just just being you know, like understanding the situation.
[5:51] Speaker 1: But yeah, like if you really want rankings like they're
[5:55] Speaker 1: they're on the site and you can see the timestamp
[5:57] Speaker 1: from when they were last updated and such.
[5:59] Speaker 2: We did a little bit of an update today.
[6:00] Speaker 1: I didn't like, you know, we're still in the process
[6:02] Speaker 1: of figuring out the best way to communicate some of
[6:04] Speaker 1: the updates and stuff like that. But regardless, like the
[6:08] Speaker 1: redraft stuff, best ball stuff, if you guys want to
[6:11] Speaker 1: play DraftKings and uh, you know, build a or download
[6:14] Speaker 1: a CSB for for best ball rankings, whatever the case
[6:17] Speaker 1: may be, that's all on the site. You know, this
[6:20] Speaker 1: guide is very much more of a deep dive into
[6:23] Speaker 1: how to find breakouts, what to look for and bus
[6:26] Speaker 1: and you know, your individual like draft plan. That's one
[6:29] Speaker 1: of the bigger things that I'm trying to do differently
[6:32] Speaker 1: this year is build out like a more concrete draft
[6:35] Speaker 1: plan for people as opposed to the way that it's
[6:38] Speaker 1: done been done historically, which is like game theory, positional analysis,
[6:43] Speaker 1: and then within the positional analysis, I'm giving you the
[6:45] Speaker 1: draft strategy, but there is an entire section that's going
[6:47] Speaker 1: to be built that is on the draft strategy side.
[6:50] Speaker 1: So I know it sounds crazy because it's it feels
[6:54] Speaker 1: like June is like it would be like a dead
[6:57] Speaker 1: time for fantasy analysts.
[6:58] Speaker 2: But I do more content in June, or it's hardest
[7:02] Speaker 2: for me in.
[7:02] Speaker 1: June then probably any other month because I had just
[7:06] Speaker 1: finished up the Prospect Guide and all the prospecting work.
[7:09] Speaker 1: There's a little bit of a lull in May, but
[7:12] Speaker 1: then immediately it's got to be draft guide time. And
[7:14] Speaker 1: then it's you know, becoming a best ball bro we're doing.
[7:16] Speaker 1: And you know, I'm not trying to get anyone to
[7:18] Speaker 1: feel bad for me. Trust me, don't feel bad. It's
[7:21] Speaker 1: just that there's a lot of work, and so I
[7:22] Speaker 1: want to be realistic about what I can and can't do.
[7:25] Speaker 1: And I'm not trying to you know, this is a
[7:28] Speaker 1: this is a family program, so I'm not going to
[7:30] Speaker 1: say the half half a word this this uh, this thing,
[7:35] Speaker 1: this thing in this project.
[7:36] Speaker 4: So yea Davis was on here, he would have no problem.
[7:39] Speaker 4: Davis was on. Davis Madic was on Perspectives last week,
[7:41] Speaker 4: and he made that rich uh work a little work. Well.
[7:45] Speaker 1: I think a lot of people understandably are used to
[7:47] Speaker 1: like going on like the bro shows where they just
[7:51] Speaker 1: swear up a storm and like people would be shocked
[7:53] Speaker 1: when they if they were to meet me. I r
[7:55] Speaker 1: L and you know the way that I or even
[7:57] Speaker 1: just talk to me on discord if we're being honest.
[7:59] Speaker 2: But uh, but like yeah, I mean, like I understand
[8:02] Speaker 2: that people listen to the show.
[8:03] Speaker 1: While there they got kids in the car, probably so
[8:06] Speaker 1: I try to try to hold off on some of
[8:08] Speaker 1: the swearing.
[8:09] Speaker 4: Of course, yeah, I get it, Hey, you don't want.
[8:14] Speaker 1: I actually asked my daughter, you ever ask your daughters,
[8:17] Speaker 1: uh if they know, like, you know, bad words and
[8:19] Speaker 1: stuff you know, like you have no, don't, Oh it's
[8:23] Speaker 1: you if you're if you're a parent, you should just
[8:24] Speaker 1: ask your kid, like in a genuine like do you
[8:28] Speaker 1: know any bad words? And my daughter, sweet sweet avery
[8:32] Speaker 1: uh she said she did say that that she knew
[8:35] Speaker 1: h double hockey stick yea yeah. But then she said,
[8:39] Speaker 1: I said, okay, then what are some of the other ones?
[8:40] Speaker 1: She goes, I know an F word? And I go, well,
[8:42] Speaker 1: what is it? Rhyme with right and she goes mick
[8:46] Speaker 1: and I'm like mick and she's like, I was like,
[8:48] Speaker 1: you can just say it, and she's like frick. And
[8:51] Speaker 1: I'm like, sweet girl, please please stay seven eight years
[8:54] Speaker 1: old forever.
[8:55] Speaker 4: So two nights ago we'll get into the news that
[8:58] Speaker 4: is actually but this is important to to go. I
[9:00] Speaker 4: introduced the girls to Goonies and I'm like, oh, it's PG.
[9:05] Speaker 4: There was like I looked up, like this cannot be
[9:08] Speaker 4: PG in the eighties, it was PG, you know now
[9:11] Speaker 4: it's it had like seventies square words.
[9:13] Speaker 2: It's funny.
[9:14] Speaker 1: I feel like I feel like people feel like it's
[9:15] Speaker 1: gone in the opposite direction, but I think that it
[9:18] Speaker 1: has not.
[9:18] Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I do not remember this. But anyways, they
[9:22] Speaker 4: love goonies. Chunk and Sloth were their favorites, and I
[9:27] Speaker 4: feel like they they got to to live a little
[9:30] Speaker 4: with that. With that, all right, you mentioned DraftKings earlier,
[9:34] Speaker 4: just a reminder that we love Draft Kings and we
[9:38] Speaker 4: appreciate them sponsoring the show, and you can get in
[9:43] Speaker 4: the Draft one, Get one, or as we call it,
[9:46] Speaker 4: a dogo for the best ball Millionaire maker. No, I
[9:53] Speaker 4: made it up, but it is Draft one get It
[9:55] Speaker 4: is Draft one get one. But I say, I say
[9:58] Speaker 4: o go. So you get a bonus ticket for your
[10:03] Speaker 4: second entry. And again, if you want to see all
[10:05] Speaker 4: the terms and conditions and the link to go get that,
[10:08] Speaker 4: you can use promo code late round or click the
[10:10] Speaker 4: link in the description. And uh, we love and appreciate
[10:13] Speaker 4: you DraftKings. So with that being said, JJ, you ready
[10:18] Speaker 4: to get onto it? Do it? All right, let's do it.
[10:21] Speaker 4: It's today's news, Today's Fantasy News. All Right, first on
[10:26] Speaker 4: the list, Rome's foot was not built in a day,
[10:30] Speaker 4: boy we have we had a very concerning message last
[10:34] Speaker 4: week about Roma Donzay's foot and how he's adjusting to
[10:39] Speaker 4: like the bone structure. I don't even I really don't
[10:41] Speaker 4: even understand it. All I know is this past week
[10:44] Speaker 4: there's been a lot of doctor like doctors and pretending
[10:47] Speaker 4: to play doctor as it relates to your fantasy squad.
[10:50] Speaker 4: So I want to know what's your take is on
[10:53] Speaker 4: Roma Donday, because even like Investball, it's his his ADP
[10:57] Speaker 4: just started dropping.
[10:59] Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean it sounds like, given what doctors are
[11:02] Speaker 1: saying on Twitter, that it's probably not the biggest deal
[11:05] Speaker 1: in the world, Like it's he can probably play to
[11:07] Speaker 1: his normal self.
[11:10] Speaker 4: Uh.
[11:10] Speaker 1: But it's interesting because apparently when these like bone injuries
[11:14] Speaker 1: can occur the way they like look, I know nothing
[11:17] Speaker 1: about this, but the way they like grow back can
[11:19] Speaker 1: just they can just grow back in these like calloused ways,
[11:22] Speaker 1: like these like really strange like And so if anyone
[11:25] Speaker 1: wants to be grossed out, just google Keenan Allen's shoulder
[11:28] Speaker 1: and you'll see what that. If you you can probably
[11:31] Speaker 1: pull it up on the show if you want to kitchen.
[11:34] Speaker 1: But yeah, Keenan Allen's shoulder. Uh did the same thing.
[11:38] Speaker 1: But the difference obviously is that Keenan Allen is that's
[11:42] Speaker 1: his shoulder. It's not his foot, which is a big
[11:44] Speaker 1: deal because you know, you need your feet very much.
[11:48] Speaker 1: So here I just put I put it in the
[11:50] Speaker 1: or know you have a different sheet up, dude, No,
[11:52] Speaker 1: there it is. I just put it up in front
[11:53] Speaker 1: of it, in front of everything. Keenan Allen has like
[11:55] Speaker 1: a like a big lump on his shoulder, So I
[11:58] Speaker 1: think there's like a small thing going on with with
[12:01] Speaker 1: a Donesday's foot in that way.
[12:04] Speaker 4: I don't know.
[12:04] Speaker 2: I feel like technology can.
[12:05] Speaker 1: Like carve out a little area for his for his
[12:08] Speaker 1: little uh you know, bone growth that's going on.
[12:11] Speaker 2: I'm trying not to overstate it.
[12:12] Speaker 1: I think that if he's falling by like half a
[12:14] Speaker 1: round to a full round in ADP, I'm gonna probably
[12:17] Speaker 1: gobble him up in my bear stacks.
[12:20] Speaker 4: Speaking of key, now, this is not on the news list,
[12:22] Speaker 4: but someone unearthed a picture of a like some sort
[12:28] Speaker 4: of cover. I don't know what is a cover for,
[12:30] Speaker 4: like a like it almost looked like a Nintendo switch cover.
[12:33] Speaker 4: Or something like that, but it was someone did it
[12:36] Speaker 4: for him. He had requested it and it was in
[12:38] Speaker 4: Chargers colors. That would that would just be really gross
[12:43] Speaker 4: for some teams out there for fantasy. Yeah, for fantasy.
[12:46] Speaker 4: He came back all right. This was also was another
[12:49] Speaker 4: report last week, is a Kittle or Portly is gonna
[12:51] Speaker 4: be George Kittle is repoortly gonna be ready for Week one.
[12:54] Speaker 1: It sounds like his tear wasn't like his achilles wasn't
[12:59] Speaker 1: as liked as what others have been, right, and so
[13:04] Speaker 1: I don't doubt that this would be the case. I
[13:06] Speaker 1: think that we're probably not gonna se hundred percent Kittle, but
[13:09] Speaker 1: he's apparently been ahead. I think that you can probably
[13:14] Speaker 1: draft him at ADP right now more comfortably, and I
[13:17] Speaker 1: probably need to move him up my rankings, you know,
[13:19] Speaker 1: as as a result of a lot of the.
[13:21] Speaker 2: Reports and such. I played it. I played it a
[13:23] Speaker 2: little bit conservatively with Kittle.
[13:24] Speaker 1: I don't think that it's gonna like I think he's
[13:26] Speaker 1: gonna rise so so dramatically, you know, in the next
[13:28] Speaker 1: week necessarily, But I do think that we're gonna just
[13:30] Speaker 1: see him naturally continue to rise higher and higher in
[13:34] Speaker 1: ADP as the good news comes through, So yeah, I
[13:38] Speaker 1: mean it sounds like that he's ahead. And then also
[13:40] Speaker 1: the injury itself wasn't as bad as what some of
[13:43] Speaker 1: the other ones have been.
[13:46] Speaker 4: Okay, this next one, and this is that time of
[13:50] Speaker 4: year where we're getting like speculation, we're getting coaching like
[13:55] Speaker 4: you know, coaches press conference quotes, and we're trying to decipher.
[13:59] Speaker 4: This is excellent example because there is a report on
[14:02] Speaker 4: rotal World that you know, they are basically Jonathan Brooks
[14:08] Speaker 4: has a path to RB one yeah for the Panthers.
[14:13] Speaker 4: Another report said that he's going to be playing the
[14:17] Speaker 4: Rico data role like Rico played in weeks one and
[14:20] Speaker 4: two last year. I don't know what to believe it
[14:24] Speaker 4: do and do you just decipher this stuff?
[14:26] Speaker 1: I think this is just the nature of beat writers
[14:29] Speaker 1: doing like what they're supposed to do, which is give us,
[14:34] Speaker 1: you know, an idea of the direction and usage of
[14:37] Speaker 1: some of these players. But when it comes to a
[14:39] Speaker 1: player like Jonathan Brooks who is coming off these like
[14:42] Speaker 1: bad injuries, you know, we haven't seen them even play
[14:44] Speaker 1: in the NFL really, you know, just a handful of
[14:46] Speaker 1: snaps at this point. A lot of It is like
[14:50] Speaker 1: some beat reporters are going to be more on the
[14:53] Speaker 1: projection front and more bullish, and others are going to
[14:56] Speaker 1: be more conservative and not assume that things will be
[14:59] Speaker 1: all better in rainbows.
[15:00] Speaker 2: So here's what I think.
[15:02] Speaker 1: I think if Jonathan Brooks were to be one hundred
[15:04] Speaker 1: percent healthy, Okay, if we just assume he's fully healthy,
[15:09] Speaker 1: nothing's wrong with him going into the season, I would
[15:13] Speaker 1: argue that his maybe this is a hot take, his
[15:16] Speaker 1: ADP in Truba Hubbard's ADP would be flipped where we
[15:21] Speaker 1: would be more because the way the fan and I
[15:24] Speaker 1: talked about this with Pat Kuran a little bit on
[15:25] Speaker 1: becoming a best ball bro the fantasy community has gotten
[15:28] Speaker 1: sharper where they've they've recognized that once you get into
[15:32] Speaker 1: like round six, round seven, and you know that that
[15:34] Speaker 1: part of your draft, you really don't need to worry
[15:36] Speaker 1: about floor nearly as much as you think or what
[15:39] Speaker 1: they've historically thought. So back in the day, you know,
[15:41] Speaker 1: Pat brought up the Mike Davis example. We had Alexander Madison,
[15:45] Speaker 1: we had Zamir White. We had these players where people
[15:48] Speaker 1: were very much drafting for floor rather than ceiling. And
[15:51] Speaker 1: I say that because there was some projectable volume for
[15:54] Speaker 1: those players, but we knew those players weren't necessarily very
[15:57] Speaker 1: good or at least had a backbone of being really
[16:00] Speaker 1: really good. And so now what we're seeing and so
[16:03] Speaker 1: in in the past, we would see a you know,
[16:06] Speaker 1: bay Shall Tuton type or even like, I think that
[16:09] Speaker 1: five years ago, and I'm gonna say this in the
[16:11] Speaker 1: Mailbag episode two this week, I think that five years ago,
[16:14] Speaker 1: Trayvon Henderson and Ramandre Stevenson's.
[16:16] Speaker 2: ADP would be different, would be flipped than what they
[16:18] Speaker 2: are right now.
[16:19] Speaker 1: I think that the fantasy community would be drafting Romandre
[16:22] Speaker 1: Stevenson ahead of Traveon Henderson five years ago versus right now, right,
[16:27] Speaker 1: And so the hard part is is that me as
[16:30] Speaker 1: an analyst and my job back in the day was
[16:33] Speaker 1: easier because I could sit here and be like, yeah,
[16:35] Speaker 1: draft base Shall Tuton in the seventh or eighth round.
[16:37] Speaker 2: Of course, do that, you know, draft Travon Henderson.
[16:39] Speaker 1: Travon Henderson's a better value than romondras Well, I can't
[16:42] Speaker 1: say that right now, you know, Like I like bay
[16:44] Speaker 1: Shall Tuton a lot, and I know we're going to
[16:46] Speaker 1: talk about him. I like Trayvon Henderson's upside, you know,
[16:49] Speaker 1: but I actually have been drafting more Romondre.
[16:51] Speaker 2: Stevenson at his ADP than Travon Henderson at his right.
[16:55] Speaker 1: Yeah, and so it's and and look, this is definitely
[16:58] Speaker 1: best ball driven to a degree.
[16:59] Speaker 2: Like we'll see how things settle in season long.
[17:01] Speaker 1: But what I'm basically saying here is is that I
[17:04] Speaker 1: do think that, you know, the the overall landscape with
[17:09] Speaker 1: running back right now that people are are being like, like,
[17:14] Speaker 1: I think that given the injury stuff with Jonathan Brooks,
[17:17] Speaker 1: he would be going way later than he is right
[17:19] Speaker 1: now in most other seasons. But if you were one
[17:22] Speaker 1: hundred percent, I do think their ADPs would be flipped
[17:25] Speaker 1: because people are recognizing the upside of that individual player.
[17:28] Speaker 1: And I think the upside exists with Jonathan Brooks more
[17:30] Speaker 1: than it does Chewba Hubbard. At this point, Cheba Hubbard's fine,
[17:33] Speaker 1: but fine doesn't win Fantasy championships.
[17:36] Speaker 4: You know.
[17:36] Speaker 1: It's just Chewba Hubbard needs that backfield to himself to
[17:40] Speaker 1: be able to really pay off as like an elite,
[17:43] Speaker 1: like like big big hit right, whereas like be Jall
[17:47] Speaker 1: Tutin can just be better, right because we liked him
[17:51] Speaker 1: as a prospect he obviously is in a good environment
[17:54] Speaker 1: and now there's stuff going on around him. Tray Von
[17:56] Speaker 1: Henderson could realistically just get more work and be really
[18:01] Speaker 1: explosive and just hit in a big way.
[18:03] Speaker 2: I don't think chewba Hubbard.
[18:04] Speaker 1: I think we know enough abou Hubbard that he's probably
[18:06] Speaker 1: not gonna be that, and so he needs that extra help.
[18:08] Speaker 1: But if Jonathan Brooks would be one hundred percent healthy,
[18:10] Speaker 1: we can tell ourselves that story about Jonathan Brooks, and
[18:13] Speaker 1: that's why I think his ADP would be a lot higher.
[18:15] Speaker 1: So that's why these Beat reporters, in my opinion, are
[18:18] Speaker 1: looking at this in a way where they're like, Brooks
[18:20] Speaker 1: has the upside to be a legit like player in
[18:25] Speaker 1: this offense. Right That's what probably all of them believe.
[18:28] Speaker 1: But one of them might be sitting there saying he's
[18:31] Speaker 1: not healthy right now, I can't assume that he's going
[18:33] Speaker 1: to be, you know, the lead back. But another one
[18:36] Speaker 1: saying like, no, I've seen him so far in practice
[18:39] Speaker 1: and he's looked really good.
[18:41] Speaker 2: He looks healthy.
[18:42] Speaker 1: Therefore, I'm gonna project this a little bit, right So
[18:44] Speaker 1: I don't think that like either Beat reporter is wrong
[18:46] Speaker 1: because I think that's just part of range of outcomes,
[18:48] Speaker 1: you know, That's what we talk about and preach all
[18:50] Speaker 1: the time.
[18:51] Speaker 2: It's just in fantasy football.
[18:52] Speaker 1: When you're getting to that part of your draft range
[18:55] Speaker 1: of outcomes, wise, you probably will want to lean towards
[18:58] Speaker 1: the upside guy, and in my opinion, in the upside
[19:00] Speaker 1: guys Jonathan Brooks. So I'm drafting more Jonathan Brooks at
[19:03] Speaker 1: his ad P. I haven't really drafted that much Tuba
[19:05] Speaker 1: at his a d P, but I think Brooks at
[19:07] Speaker 1: his ADP, even as it's rising, is a is a
[19:10] Speaker 1: pretty good pick.
[19:12] Speaker 4: Okay, we had a some reports out of Seattle about
[19:19] Speaker 4: Zach sharbon Ay. I want to Greg Bell said this.
[19:24] Speaker 4: There's a few other Beat reporters, but I do want
[19:26] Speaker 4: to give a shout out to Zayne Donani. I hope
[19:31] Speaker 4: I pronounced his last name right, but d h A
[19:35] Speaker 4: n A n I z A I N he is.
[19:39] Speaker 4: He is crushing it. It's one of those things, JJ,
[19:41] Speaker 4: where you've talked about in just like an industry thing
[19:44] Speaker 4: like find something that people need, and so that's what
[19:48] Speaker 4: he's doing.
[19:49] Speaker 1: Like the thing with what Zay's doing. So you guys
[19:51] Speaker 1: can find him. It's Denanni zaynez d h A and
[19:58] Speaker 1: A n I z a I n As Kitchen said.
[20:01] Speaker 1: The thing with him is that like he's grinding it
[20:04] Speaker 1: like he is. He is on top of so many stories.
[20:06] Speaker 1: You can't do this with AI, like you memorize and
[20:09] Speaker 1: summarizing the stories and just like being very helpful and useful.
[20:12] Speaker 1: I started following him maybe like two months ago, and
[20:16] Speaker 1: I think he's a great follow Everyone should be following him.
[20:19] Speaker 1: But yeah, that's like a way, you know, he's like,
[20:21] Speaker 1: why aren't more people tweeting about, you know, news items.
[20:24] Speaker 1: You know, there's like thirty two beat reporters and stuff
[20:25] Speaker 1: like that do a really good job. But he's doing
[20:28] Speaker 1: he's doing that kind of work for the fantasy managers
[20:31] Speaker 1: and it's very very helpful.
[20:32] Speaker 4: Yeah, so he deciphered a few things, one of them
[20:37] Speaker 4: being sharbon a might be ready earlier on in the season.
[20:42] Speaker 4: He tore his a cl pretty late in the season,
[20:44] Speaker 4: so if he'd be ready for week one to be
[20:46] Speaker 4: six and a half months in, yeah, I don't.
[20:47] Speaker 2: I don't see it happening now. I just don't see
[20:49] Speaker 2: it happening.
[20:50] Speaker 1: Like I like, maybe he's Superman and he beats all
[20:53] Speaker 1: the odds, But why would we necessarily bet on on
[20:56] Speaker 1: that that strong. I do think that just given the sentiment,
[20:58] Speaker 1: you can probably be a little bit more comfortable taking
[21:00] Speaker 1: him in Best Ball, Like I wasn't taking him that
[21:01] Speaker 1: much in Best Ball so far, and his ADP is
[21:04] Speaker 1: gonna rise, So that's an l for me. But uh,
[21:08] Speaker 1: I do think that, like again, one hundred percent healthy
[21:12] Speaker 1: Charbonne Jenderium, Price's ADP probably be a little bit lower,
[21:16] Speaker 1: you know, he he'd probably be more in like the
[21:17] Speaker 1: Tuba range or the Remonderan range than he is right now.
[21:21] Speaker 1: And so yeah, I mean, like I do think that's
[21:24] Speaker 1: a pretty pretty insane timeline for him to be back
[21:27] Speaker 1: week one. I think that would be I mean, props
[21:30] Speaker 1: to him if he does it, but that's it's usually
[21:32] Speaker 1: at least an eight month.
[21:33] Speaker 4: Then George Hollane UH coaches still like him, especially past
[21:38] Speaker 4: protection and receiving. So first back with starters Jendarian so,
[21:42] Speaker 4: the second back with starters UH, and then Emmanuel Wilson
[21:45] Speaker 4: mainly running as the RB three with Milroe. And this
[21:49] Speaker 4: is why I said in our Best Ball chat like
[21:52] Speaker 4: Emanuel Wilson's a really hard click for me.
[21:54] Speaker 1: The problem though, the problem though, is that like George
[21:56] Speaker 1: Allani is it's similar to me to me at least
[21:59] Speaker 1: as like I don't know Jacksonville to a degree where
[22:04] Speaker 1: Jackson is probably a bad example because base Schelle Tuton
[22:06] Speaker 1: is very clearly like the early done guy with with
[22:08] Speaker 1: Chris Rodriguez sideline. But like George Hallani is more than
[22:13] Speaker 1: likely going to play a role with the first team
[22:16] Speaker 1: no matter what, because they use him in a pass
[22:18] Speaker 1: catching capacity. Right, So, like Jenerian Price, playing ahead of
[22:22] Speaker 1: Emmanuel Wilson is not that surprising to me. I think
[22:25] Speaker 1: the Emmanuel Wilson bett has been what if Sharp's just
[22:28] Speaker 1: out all year, you know, like what if they don't
[22:30] Speaker 1: have and it doesn't look like that's happening at this point,
[22:33] Speaker 1: just based on all these reports.
[22:35] Speaker 4: Okay, this is something that we've been eyeing. We've talked
[22:38] Speaker 4: about it on the show. We've had some people in
[22:41] Speaker 4: the discord also talking about it. And that's the concern
[22:45] Speaker 4: with Chris Rodriguez's foot, he confirmed that he had surgery,
[22:50] Speaker 4: and there is some serious steam on base Shell Tuton. Yeah.
[22:57] Speaker 1: I mean, as I've said for the last year and
[23:00] Speaker 1: a half, well maybe a year.
[23:02] Speaker 4: All roads, all roads lead to ball.
[23:06] Speaker 1: Yes, it's become a meme and the discord where we
[23:08] Speaker 1: just say hashtag all roads anytime there's a a favorable
[23:12] Speaker 1: base Shall Tutan report. But yeah, I mean it sounds
[23:15] Speaker 1: like this is not a like minor injury where like
[23:20] Speaker 1: he might be back at training camp or around that time,
[23:22] Speaker 1: but who knows. You know, foot injuries are very scary
[23:25] Speaker 1: when you're talking about a running back, uh, and so
[23:28] Speaker 1: you know, and then and then all reports are that
[23:29] Speaker 1: like base Shall Tuton looks the part so far, which
[23:32] Speaker 1: I'm not that surprise this time of year, like there
[23:34] Speaker 1: are certain players where like if they're physically gifted, you know,
[23:38] Speaker 1: this is when those players look best. You know, like
[23:42] Speaker 1: Jayden Blue is getting some positive love, right and like
[23:44] Speaker 1: Jayden Blue is a physically gifted, speedy player. You know,
[23:48] Speaker 1: Denzel Boston is a size freak, right, Like, I'm not
[23:53] Speaker 1: surprised that he might be getting some favorable love just
[23:56] Speaker 1: because he's he's he's a beast right from from that perspective,
[24:00] Speaker 1: and so you know, I'm not I'm not shocked that
[24:03] Speaker 1: base Shall Tutan's getting in love, but I do I
[24:05] Speaker 1: don't hate it.
[24:06] Speaker 4: Yeah for sure, Okay, this this you shouldn't hate too.
[24:10] Speaker 4: You've talked about this. There's some exciting changes in Washington.
[24:14] Speaker 4: We're talking about Jade and Daniels play action. We're talking
[24:17] Speaker 4: about moving Terry McLaurin around a little bit, Chigtober, lots
[24:23] Speaker 4: of talk about Chickaconquo being involved heavily in the passing game.
[24:30] Speaker 4: And we even have another, you know, tight end too,
[24:32] Speaker 4: Ben Sentate for those that's still a rostering him in Dynasty,
[24:36] Speaker 4: a little bit of glimmer of I've.
[24:37] Speaker 2: Never understood the Ben Senate stuff. It's been so weird.
[24:40] Speaker 4: He was like tight end three in rookie drafts a
[24:43] Speaker 4: few years.
[24:44] Speaker 1: But it's like, it's so strange how there's like so
[24:47] Speaker 1: many truthers and I didn't I just didn't think he
[24:49] Speaker 1: was like that great of a prospect. And it's just like,
[24:52] Speaker 1: I don't know, this has been a while journey with
[24:54] Speaker 1: with Ben Sennett, but I think Chick is better than
[24:57] Speaker 1: him and has a lot of upside. So I've been
[25:01] Speaker 1: drafting him a decent bit. You know, obviously, I've been
[25:03] Speaker 1: saying stuff about McLaurin all off season that I like him,
[25:07] Speaker 1: and then you know, we've been we've been hyping up
[25:09] Speaker 1: David Blau and what this offense could look like. So
[25:10] Speaker 1: there's just more and more evidence that, you know, things
[25:13] Speaker 1: could be pretty good for Washington this year compared to
[25:16] Speaker 1: what they were working with last year.
[25:18] Speaker 4: Okay, Brandon Ayuk, his bold strategy is going on social
[25:23] Speaker 4: media threatening, basically threatening the team that is in charge
[25:29] Speaker 4: of his contract. I just don't know the guy is
[25:33] Speaker 4: is this has been given the right advice or that
[25:36] Speaker 4: he's like following the advice that he's been given.
[25:39] Speaker 2: This is why I'm becoming a best ball bro you know.
[25:41] Speaker 1: I was like, oh, yeah, Stephan Diggs when he signs,
[25:43] Speaker 1: he's going to see an increase in ADP, or you know,
[25:45] Speaker 1: Keaishan Boody if he gets traded, he'll see an increase
[25:47] Speaker 1: in ADP. And I'm like, you can make the argument
[25:49] Speaker 1: for Brandon Ayuk, but that's this is like acsenuating circumstance territory,
[25:53] Speaker 1: where like we have no idea, right right, we have
[25:55] Speaker 1: no clue what's going on because we've seen this before
[25:59] Speaker 1: with players where very talent. I think most recently is
[26:02] Speaker 1: probably Johnson, where like very talented, but then just like
[26:06] Speaker 1: off the field type stuff started to come and it
[26:10] Speaker 1: just he never got back on track. You know, obviously
[26:13] Speaker 1: the easy example is Antonio Brown. But you know, I'm
[26:16] Speaker 1: not saying that like that's what's going on with Ayuk,
[26:19] Speaker 1: but certainly his posts are kind of all over the place.
[26:22] Speaker 1: You know, he's wearing Washington Commander's gear and some of
[26:25] Speaker 1: this and some of this stuff. Although I have no
[26:27] Speaker 1: idea at this point what's real and what's not, Like
[26:30] Speaker 1: this is this is where because like, this is the
[26:33] Speaker 1: perfect reason, this is the perfect downside of AI for
[26:36] Speaker 1: our job, in particular, is that it's not important enough
[26:40] Speaker 1: for me to go fact check it, right because I like.
[26:43] Speaker 2: The updated headline.
[26:45] Speaker 1: It's not important enough for me to go fact check
[26:47] Speaker 1: it because I'm like, I don't care what Brandon Ayuk
[26:49] Speaker 1: is posting on Instagram, but I do kind of want
[26:51] Speaker 1: to know, but I don't want to have to dig
[26:53] Speaker 1: in and be like is this real?
[26:54] Speaker 2: Is it fake? You know, it's just it's so like it's.
[26:57] Speaker 4: I'm assuming it's all real, but I'm not watching two
[27:00] Speaker 4: minutes of him threatening the forty nine ers. I'm just
[27:02] Speaker 4: going off people saying, right, all right, this is kind
[27:04] Speaker 4: of crazy. Yeah, Like it.
[27:05] Speaker 1: Doesn't, it doesn't, this is not this is the part
[27:08] Speaker 1: of football that I really don't like, you know, I
[27:10] Speaker 1: just I'm not I like the drama.
[27:11] Speaker 2: I like when there's like tangible drama, like real.
[27:16] Speaker 4: Like days of our lives.
[27:17] Speaker 1: Yeah, like people talking junk to one another, or like
[27:20] Speaker 1: they're being like a real you know, like like beef
[27:23] Speaker 1: between players or something like that.
[27:25] Speaker 2: That's fun. That that's the like, like, let it play
[27:28] Speaker 2: out in the field. I want to see this happen.
[27:30] Speaker 2: I want to see trash talk.
[27:31] Speaker 1: I want to see all of that, right, But when
[27:33] Speaker 1: it's dudes that are posting cryptic things on Instagram, I
[27:36] Speaker 1: just don't care enough to be like, hey, is he
[27:38] Speaker 1: actually wearing a commander's head or did someone just put
[27:40] Speaker 1: this put this on, uh, you know, on his head
[27:44] Speaker 1: via chat g ept. And then you see the random
[27:46] Speaker 1: pictures now of people making Ayuk overweight, you know, and
[27:50] Speaker 1: like like that's at least you can toss out, you know,
[27:53] Speaker 1: And you're like.
[27:53] Speaker 4: OK, he posted a selfie of him in the mirror,
[27:55] Speaker 4: and some people took that and basically took the chat
[27:58] Speaker 4: jy say make this guy twenty five pounds.
[28:00] Speaker 1: Right right, like, and like, clearly that kind of stuff
[28:03] Speaker 1: I'm not gonna believe in face value, but like the
[28:06] Speaker 1: Washington Commander's hat could go either way, right realistically, do
[28:09] Speaker 1: you go either way? And I'm pretty sure it was real,
[28:11] Speaker 1: But I don't want to sit here on my show
[28:12] Speaker 1: and like have any idea that you know, like that
[28:16] Speaker 1: it's not redacted.
[28:18] Speaker 4: Who's he was the one that had the I you
[28:21] Speaker 4: kidding me headline said he posts the commander's picks himself,
[28:25] Speaker 4: like honestly, and this is this is it's gonna sound
[28:27] Speaker 4: like a plug for the Discord. I just trust the
[28:29] Speaker 4: Discord and what they and what they put out there.
[28:32] Speaker 1: And that could sometimes the Discord doesn't do there, you know,
[28:35] Speaker 1: and then we get we get Richard Johnson tweets, you know,
[28:37] Speaker 1: in the in the Discord, but we do a.
[28:40] Speaker 4: Good job of moderating those.
[28:42] Speaker 1: I mean, I mean, look if you if you if
[28:44] Speaker 1: you post a Richard Johnson tweet in discord, you immediately
[28:47] Speaker 1: get destroyed by people like come on, you know you're
[28:50] Speaker 1: gonna you're gonna regret it, all right? Reporting for duty
[28:54] Speaker 1: this is the time where we're looking for those people
[28:57] Speaker 1: that are are in it or they're not. So cowboys
[29:01] Speaker 1: hopeful that George Pickens reports next week. That's probably the
[29:05] Speaker 1: biggest reporting for Duty Watch. Apparently Ryan Flinoy has been
[29:10] Speaker 1: tearing it up.
[29:12] Speaker 4: I did see this. Yeah, he's one of those guys
[29:15] Speaker 4: in Best Ball where I'm just like, I can't do it.
[29:17] Speaker 4: I cannot do it, but his ADP continues to rise.
[29:21] Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean.
[29:22] Speaker 1: Look, I think anything after round fourteen is just like
[29:24] Speaker 1: it doesn't matter, Like they're all the same, you know,
[29:26] Speaker 1: like you don't have to really be so strict with
[29:28] Speaker 1: ADP at that point. But yeah, like a Ryan Flanoy,
[29:31] Speaker 1: I feel the same way about like him compared to
[29:33] Speaker 1: like an Isaac Tesla or something.
[29:34] Speaker 4: Yeah, Kasehon Booty is reporting. Even Jacob Brisett reporting as well.
[29:42] Speaker 4: So that's those are kind of where we are on
[29:44] Speaker 4: the reporting things. And then we just had some Alec
[29:48] Speaker 4: Pierce news that he may not be ready for OTAs.
[29:53] Speaker 4: That's bad. This could be a big thing.
[29:56] Speaker 2: That's bad because they don't have anyone outside of Josh.
[29:58] Speaker 1: Down's a wide receiver. They have Nick west Bikine. I
[30:01] Speaker 1: would imagine that they can't be this dumb that they knew,
[30:04] Speaker 1: like they know his time time frame for return and
[30:07] Speaker 1: they they you know, they haven't done anything at wide receiver.
[30:09] Speaker 1: Maybe this is a sneaky stuff on Diggs destination, which
[30:12] Speaker 1: would suck. I think would be bad because I like
[30:15] Speaker 1: the way that things are sort of setting up for
[30:19] Speaker 1: the indie players at this moment, so.
[30:26] Speaker 4: That we got after the show started. This from James Boyd,
[30:28] Speaker 4: who does the cult stuff with the Athletic. Alex Pierce
[30:32] Speaker 4: says he was given a four to six month recovery
[30:34] Speaker 4: timeline when he underwent left angle surgery in late March.
[30:38] Speaker 4: No definitive timeline of when he'll be back, but his
[30:41] Speaker 4: targeting sometime in camp.
[30:42] Speaker 2: I'm sitting here going to April May. Yeah, I did
[30:46] Speaker 2: that all the time.
[30:47] Speaker 4: I did. I did three and a half plus six
[30:49] Speaker 4: and nine and a half in the season that.
[30:51] Speaker 2: Could push him to the season. Yeah.
[30:53] Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that's pretty bad for a guy who has
[30:56] Speaker 1: not really been in alpha in the NFL, slashing college
[31:00] Speaker 1: the way that most higher volume players are hopeful. How
[31:03] Speaker 1: higher volume players have been so yeah, I mean, it's
[31:06] Speaker 1: certainly a scary report. And this time of year it's
[31:09] Speaker 1: usually you know, butterflies and rainbows.
[31:12] Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, And this is when we looked to either
[31:15] Speaker 4: confirm our bias or we looked just to get scared
[31:18] Speaker 4: of what's coming next? All right? See the only other
[31:21] Speaker 4: news that we have JJ is that the World Cup
[31:25] Speaker 4: is starting. The other football.
[31:27] Speaker 1: Yeah, I was in I was in New York City,
[31:30] Speaker 1: uh this past weekend with the boys, and uh, I was.
[31:34] Speaker 4: Almost gonna great time to be in NYC.
[31:36] Speaker 2: By the way, Oh.
[31:37] Speaker 1: My gosh, it was amazing to be We went, dude.
[31:40] Speaker 1: Our our our Friday night was going to Yankee Stadium,
[31:44] Speaker 1: having a few, you know, throwing a few back and
[31:46] Speaker 1: then leaving early because we don't care about the outcome
[31:48] Speaker 1: of the game.
[31:49] Speaker 2: It was, but it was a Yankee Socks game. The
[31:51] Speaker 2: Red Sox were in town.
[31:52] Speaker 1: And then we left in the in the eighth inning
[31:54] Speaker 1: to go to Manhattan and go to a bar where
[31:58] Speaker 1: it was just packed with Knicks fans. We got to
[32:00] Speaker 1: watch the next game with other you know, so like
[32:03] Speaker 1: I it's it's like those are my Knicks now after
[32:06] Speaker 1: after the weekend.
[32:08] Speaker 4: That's how I feel about Freddie la seven. I was
[32:12] Speaker 4: like one of his first you know, twenty thousand followers.
[32:16] Speaker 4: He now has two hundred and forty thousand followers. But
[32:20] Speaker 4: he's a German. If you are not familiar with him,
[32:23] Speaker 4: it's a a guy from Germany. That has come over
[32:26] Speaker 4: to the States to talk about or to watch the
[32:29] Speaker 4: World Cup, and he's going he's trying to get everything
[32:32] Speaker 4: like Americana to like check that box. So he went
[32:35] Speaker 4: to waffle House. Last night, he went to BUCkies, and
[32:37] Speaker 4: people are just loving it. It's really it's just like
[32:39] Speaker 4: it's bringing the nation team.
[32:41] Speaker 1: Look, I'm telling you, if you're a European or just
[32:43] Speaker 1: from another country in general and you go to BUCkies,
[32:45] Speaker 1: your mind is probably just out.
[32:47] Speaker 2: It has got to be like, what what is wrong
[32:50] Speaker 2: with this country?
[32:51] Speaker 4: Like this is as the opposite it was, the act
[32:54] Speaker 4: it was. It's been the absolute officer was like it's
[32:56] Speaker 4: one am and they've got fresh hot brisket on the
[32:58] Speaker 4: bull it is.
[33:00] Speaker 1: I mean, I can't even imagine BUCkies because I've only
[33:02] Speaker 1: been there in the middle of the day on road
[33:04] Speaker 1: trips and stuff, when it's like generally packed, Like any
[33:06] Speaker 1: BUCkies you go to is just packed out of its mind.
[33:08] Speaker 1: I can't imagine going like middle of the night and
[33:10] Speaker 1: seeing it like more.
[33:11] Speaker 2: I'm assuming it's more empty, I'm gonna assume.
[33:13] Speaker 4: So it depends on the time. I mean, I've been
[33:16] Speaker 4: at one am where it's still pretty crowded, especially like
[33:19] Speaker 4: spring Breakers, and I.
[33:21] Speaker 1: Mean, I just imagine what a European would think about
[33:26] Speaker 1: BUCkies like that.
[33:27] Speaker 2: And this is why it's mind blowing.
[33:29] Speaker 4: This is why it's so awesome to see these people
[33:30] Speaker 4: come into the States. He went to Jordan Hair Stadium
[33:34] Speaker 4: where Auburn you know, plays their games, and it.
[33:37] Speaker 1: Was all I went to the uh BUCkies around there
[33:41] Speaker 1: was he at that BUCkies. I literally went to that BUCkies.
[33:44] Speaker 4: I have to I think I've been to every Buggies
[33:46] Speaker 4: in the Southeast. But he saw the eagle flying around
[33:49] Speaker 4: UH and he was like his response to like an
[33:52] Speaker 4: SEC stadium. He's like, this is incredible. And one of
[33:55] Speaker 4: his tweets was like me and my friend he said,
[33:57] Speaker 4: if you punched me five times, I would not think
[33:59] Speaker 4: this is real. Like they are just loving it. So anyway,
[34:02] Speaker 4: it's just a little still good moment.
[34:04] Speaker 1: Today's data, Yeah, today's data pretty straightforward.
[34:10] Speaker 2: I think there's a narrative out there.
[34:11] Speaker 1: I'm gonna be talking about this in more detail on
[34:13] Speaker 1: the Mailbag this week too, and then obviously I break
[34:15] Speaker 1: it down a lot in the Draft Guide this year.
[34:18] Speaker 1: But I think there's a narrative out there that running
[34:20] Speaker 1: back ADP is like so dramatically different this year, and
[34:23] Speaker 1: like everyone's reaching for running backs when they weren't doing
[34:26] Speaker 1: that before, or whatever the case may be. It's really
[34:29] Speaker 1: not that different. Like there were years where we had
[34:33] Speaker 1: eight running backs in the first round very frequently, in
[34:36] Speaker 1: like the twenty eighteen to twenty twenty timeframe. We have
[34:39] Speaker 1: six this year. Like we're still drafting wide receivers early.
[34:42] Speaker 1: It's not like they're it's you know, people are saying,
[34:45] Speaker 1: like should I zig when everyone's zagging?
[34:46] Speaker 2: Well, what are what is the zag going on?
[34:49] Speaker 1: It's like the same thing that we've been doing for
[34:51] Speaker 1: years in fantasy football.
[34:52] Speaker 2: You know, maybe it's a little bit easier to.
[34:54] Speaker 1: Draft multiple running backs early that it's been, but realistically,
[34:57] Speaker 1: the market is not saying that this is.
[34:59] Speaker 2: That much different. Now.
[35:00] Speaker 1: If you look at through twelve, you know, we have
[35:03] Speaker 1: a lower number of running backs compared to everything since
[35:05] Speaker 1: twenty fourteen. You know, through twenty four picks, it's maybe
[35:09] Speaker 1: a little bit more at twelve running backs versus eleven
[35:12] Speaker 1: point one historically, and then you get a little bit more.
[35:15] Speaker 1: But realistically, through through the first four rounds of your draft, Okay,
[35:19] Speaker 1: we have twenty running backs being drafted that is the
[35:21] Speaker 1: same number as last year. It's the same, and it's
[35:24] Speaker 1: it's less than one running back more than like the
[35:27] Speaker 1: ten year average. So I'm throwing this data in here
[35:30] Speaker 1: to basically say, let's chill out with the narrative. I
[35:33] Speaker 1: think the narrative is being driven by number one Best
[35:35] Speaker 1: Ball and number two best Ball analysts and bros who
[35:39] Speaker 1: are out there no longer just just automatically going zero
[35:43] Speaker 1: RB zerob yeah whenever alpha RB when other people weren't
[35:48] Speaker 1: doing that anyway last year, you know it's and they
[35:50] Speaker 1: weren't even a lot of them. So, like, I think
[35:53] Speaker 1: that the narrative is a little bit overblown of this
[35:55] Speaker 1: like running back, Like there is a running back renaissance
[35:58] Speaker 1: from the standpoint of there's a little more predictability going
[36:01] Speaker 1: on right now because the league is run heavier and
[36:04] Speaker 1: there are these like the standalone elite wide receivers that
[36:08] Speaker 1: are separating them themselves because there's this just giant group
[36:11] Speaker 1: of wide receiver twos. It's the death of wide receiver
[36:13] Speaker 1: too that I podcast is about to start the off season.
[36:17] Speaker 2: But like, realistically, it is not that different year over year.
[36:20] Speaker 1: It's just it's it's it's not that the market's behaving
[36:23] Speaker 1: in a very very similar way that it's always behaved,
[36:25] Speaker 1: and I wanted to at least shout that out in
[36:27] Speaker 1: today's data.
[36:29] Speaker 4: I mean, just bringing common sense to people.
[36:31] Speaker 2: That's it's all trying to do.
[36:32] Speaker 4: That's what we're doing. All right, Let's get on to
[36:34] Speaker 4: the main event, the late round, main event. All right,
[36:38] Speaker 4: these are the toughest players to rank, and let's start
[36:42] Speaker 4: with the oh and you have for those that are
[36:44] Speaker 4: listening on the pod, these are players that are not
[36:48] Speaker 4: injured or off the field issues. So yes, Rice Jacobs,
[36:55] Speaker 4: you know, neighbors, they these guys.
[36:57] Speaker 1: Yeah, obviously those guys are the toughest rant because we know, yeah,
[37:00] Speaker 1: what's going on. But yeah, I chose situations and instances
[37:04] Speaker 1: where players were are just naturally tough because of new
[37:08] Speaker 1: situations or competition, whatever the case may be. So we'll
[37:12] Speaker 1: start with the Jags wide receivers, which everyone asked me. Literally,
[37:15] Speaker 1: I get a question every single week, even though I
[37:16] Speaker 1: talked about them on the show, I get a question
[37:19] Speaker 1: every week about the Jags wide receivers. I want to
[37:21] Speaker 1: start out with a quote from SI from a fellow
[37:26] Speaker 1: with the last name Manzano, who I have not followed,
[37:29] Speaker 1: so apologies for that, but he works for Sports Illustrated
[37:33] Speaker 1: and the quote was, Travis Hunter is still viewed as
[37:35] Speaker 1: a cornerstone piece offensively and a dangerous downfield threat. Was
[37:39] Speaker 1: the quote literally this week about Travis Hunter. So that
[37:44] Speaker 1: tells me that he's still going to be part of
[37:45] Speaker 1: the rotation in some way. You have Parker Washington, who
[37:48] Speaker 1: was a fifty to fifty inside out player last year,
[37:50] Speaker 1: similar to like the way that the Lions us aman
[37:52] Speaker 1: ros Saint Brown. That was on a small sample though,
[37:55] Speaker 1: because it only in the second half of the year
[37:57] Speaker 1: after the Travis Hunter injury went down, he got a
[37:59] Speaker 1: little bit more work, and then they traded for Jacoby Myers.
[38:01] Speaker 1: Speaking of Jacoby Myers, he's a very solid player, you know.
[38:04] Speaker 1: I don't think that he has an insane amount of upside,
[38:06] Speaker 1: but he's very, very good. And then Brian Thomas had
[38:09] Speaker 1: his elite rookie season and he's getting a lot of
[38:11] Speaker 1: positive vibes too out of camp right now. So I
[38:14] Speaker 1: think the way I'm approaching it, I don't think I
[38:17] Speaker 1: know because I've drafted about one hundred teams so far,
[38:19] Speaker 1: but the way I'm approaching it is I think all
[38:22] Speaker 1: these guys are draftable individually, in best ball and in
[38:25] Speaker 1: stacks because none of them have obscenely obscenely high ADPs.
[38:29] Speaker 1: It's not like you're drafting Parker Washington in that crazy
[38:32] Speaker 1: great wide receiver zone, you know, in that in that
[38:35] Speaker 1: fourth round range. Brian Thomas, same exact deal. Jacoby Myers.
[38:39] Speaker 1: I haven't drafted a ton of but you know, he's
[38:40] Speaker 1: fine where he goes. And I think Travis Hunter is
[38:43] Speaker 1: actually in a pretty good best ball spot. I wouldn't
[38:45] Speaker 1: be drafting him that much in season long, but in
[38:47] Speaker 1: best Ball, I think that he's not a bad click.
[38:49] Speaker 2: And you can capture all this with Trevor.
[38:51] Speaker 1: Lawrence too if you really want ye, you know, like
[38:53] Speaker 1: you can you can just go that route and you know,
[38:56] Speaker 1: get this production via the quarterback. So a verdict at
[39:01] Speaker 1: the end of all these because I thought it would
[39:02] Speaker 1: be a little bit fun, because this is kind of
[39:04] Speaker 1: like a This is kind of like a subjective not
[39:06] Speaker 1: super analytical.
[39:07] Speaker 4: No.
[39:07] Speaker 1: I love the verdict. Yeah, of course you do. This
[39:09] Speaker 1: is the most kitchen kitchen thing ever. He's gonna he's
[39:12] Speaker 1: gonna color it a certain color.
[39:14] Speaker 4: It's green because you it's like I am more I
[39:16] Speaker 4: am more in than out right now with the Jags
[39:19] Speaker 4: wide receivers, and I won't.
[39:21] Speaker 1: I don't think that you need to take some stand
[39:23] Speaker 1: and say I'm all in on Parker Washington, I'm all
[39:25] Speaker 1: in on Brian Thomas. I think if I were to
[39:27] Speaker 1: take a stand in that way, I'm more in on
[39:29] Speaker 1: those guys than I am Jacoby Myers. But I think
[39:32] Speaker 1: that given the gap and ADP, it's not terrible to
[39:34] Speaker 1: soil draft Myers.
[39:36] Speaker 4: I was about to say the the steam and and
[39:38] Speaker 4: kind of the sentiments. You know, if there's like a
[39:40] Speaker 4: sentiment score on social media is lots of glowing comments
[39:46] Speaker 4: about Parker Washington and then deep ball threats with Brian
[39:50] Speaker 4: Thomas Junior. There's not been a ton did Travis Center
[39:53] Speaker 4: comments or yes, he'll like he'll be involved, you know,
[39:55] Speaker 4: like he'll be out there, uh, but not seeing a
[39:59] Speaker 4: ton of Jacoby Meyer, which again I know it's weird
[40:01] Speaker 4: because he was good, like he was good last year
[40:03] Speaker 4: whenever he got there, and he was a big piece
[40:05] Speaker 4: in reason as to why that offense was was as.
[40:07] Speaker 2: You know, humming the way that it was down the stretch.
[40:09] Speaker 4: It's why it's tough to it's why it's you know,
[40:11] Speaker 4: tough to rank him all right, Next you have Devon
[40:14] Speaker 4: a Chan Yeah.
[40:16] Speaker 1: I mean, like I think the question you have to
[40:17] Speaker 1: ask is how good is this Miami offense actually going
[40:20] Speaker 1: to be? If you look at top twelve running backs historically,
[40:22] Speaker 1: you know, the majority of them score ten plus touchdowns,
[40:25] Speaker 1: the majority of them are seeing goal line work, and
[40:26] Speaker 1: he has not been the biggest goal line back historically,
[40:30] Speaker 1: you know, in Miami.
[40:31] Speaker 2: But it's a new coaching staff. You know, he's only
[40:33] Speaker 2: had five goal line.
[40:34] Speaker 1: Rushes in two of his three seasons, like five in
[40:36] Speaker 1: each of those seasons, but only five.
[40:37] Speaker 2: That's not that many.
[40:39] Speaker 1: The other one I think he had like fourteen, But
[40:41] Speaker 1: so there's there's a question mark there. He had a
[40:44] Speaker 1: nineteen point four percent target share last year. I think
[40:46] Speaker 1: he could get back there this year. But Malik Willis
[40:49] Speaker 1: has also never hit twenty five pass attempts in the
[40:52] Speaker 1: game or in a game in his career. I think
[40:54] Speaker 1: they're gonna I mean, obviously he's going to reach that
[40:56] Speaker 1: and exceed that this year.
[40:57] Speaker 2: But they're good.
[40:58] Speaker 1: Even if they're bad, they're gonna be a heavy offense,
[41:01] Speaker 1: and we know that mobile quarterbacks tend to not check
[41:04] Speaker 1: down quite as much as immobile quarterbacks do, so that's
[41:08] Speaker 1: also somewhat of an issue for Devon a Chan. I
[41:11] Speaker 1: I'm look, I've been on h in the last two years.
[41:14] Speaker 1: I think he's been a target in the draft guide
[41:15] Speaker 1: both years. Like he's someone that I think is very,
[41:19] Speaker 1: very talented. But this is a there's so much ambiguity
[41:23] Speaker 1: with Devon ah Chan right now with the situation where
[41:27] Speaker 1: I think in order for him to hit where he
[41:29] Speaker 1: gets drafted, given who he's being drafted around, I think
[41:32] Speaker 1: in order for him to hit, he's probably gonna have
[41:34] Speaker 1: to see a twenty percent target share, which could happen
[41:38] Speaker 1: for sure, but I don't want to bank on that
[41:39] Speaker 1: because it's a really high number for a running back.
[41:41] Speaker 1: So yeah, right now I'm more out than in. I
[41:44] Speaker 1: haven't full faded him. I still, you know, it's just
[41:46] Speaker 1: not the way that I really roll from a best
[41:48] Speaker 1: ball perspective, But I do think he's probably gonna be
[41:50] Speaker 1: end up being more of like a four percent player.
[41:53] Speaker 2: For me than an eight percent player.
[41:55] Speaker 4: Yeah, especially with a running quarterback in Milake Willis.
[41:59] Speaker 2: You know, it's it's tough.
[42:01] Speaker 4: I mean, they could be I don't know what that
[42:02] Speaker 4: offense is gonna look like That's why it's tough.
[42:04] Speaker 1: You know, they could be very, very dynamic on the ground,
[42:06] Speaker 1: but it's not like their line is built in like
[42:08] Speaker 1: a really obvious way to be like, yeah they can,
[42:11] Speaker 1: they can.
[42:11] Speaker 2: Just sustain six yards per carry.
[42:13] Speaker 1: So I just I just think there's enough ambiguity there
[42:16] Speaker 1: to just say I'm just gonna go with a safer
[42:17] Speaker 1: bed at running.
[42:18] Speaker 4: Back in that range, right, you are more out than
[42:20] Speaker 4: in there. Next Yeah, but meke Buka.
[42:24] Speaker 2: Yeah, the biggest question with him is which version are
[42:26] Speaker 2: we gonna get? Right?
[42:27] Speaker 1: The first five games this season, he had twenty points
[42:29] Speaker 1: per game. The remaining games he had eight point three.
[42:32] Speaker 1: Is a huge difference. Now, obviously a huge reason for
[42:35] Speaker 1: that was injury related, probably Baker Mayfield injury related, and
[42:40] Speaker 1: that led to him ranking one hundred and thirteenth out
[42:42] Speaker 1: of one hundred and twenty one qualified wide receivers and
[42:45] Speaker 1: catchuple target rate according to Fantasy Life data. And so
[42:48] Speaker 1: you have this profile of like there's a reason why
[42:50] Speaker 1: he wasn't necessarily as good down the stretch last year,
[42:54] Speaker 1: but he was so dynamic to start the year. His
[42:57] Speaker 1: dynamic play to start the year was going to regress
[42:59] Speaker 1: in some way he was doing. I remember doing a
[43:01] Speaker 1: ten Trends episode talking about this, where like I was
[43:03] Speaker 1: still in on him because even when he regressed, he
[43:06] Speaker 1: probably could grow as a receiver, maybe see a little
[43:09] Speaker 1: bit more work from a target chair standpoint, But he
[43:11] Speaker 1: was doing things unsustainably down the field to start last year.
[43:15] Speaker 1: So but even still does that model really liked Abuca
[43:18] Speaker 1: coming out. I think I'm still more in and out.
[43:21] Speaker 1: I'm not going to be massively massively overweight though, because
[43:23] Speaker 1: I love the wide receivers in that range, and he
[43:26] Speaker 1: generally goes on top of those wide receivers like he's
[43:29] Speaker 1: been He's been in the third round very very.
[43:31] Speaker 2: Consistently on DraftKings over the last couple of weeks.
[43:34] Speaker 4: Yeah, his adp is is pretty high. So you're you're
[43:38] Speaker 4: more in than outs.
[43:39] Speaker 1: Yeah, but like I, you know, like I I'm probably
[43:42] Speaker 1: gonna have more like Luther Burden this year just giving costs,
[43:45] Speaker 1: you know, yeah, because he goes like half around later.
[43:47] Speaker 2: Almost a four round.
[43:48] Speaker 4: Sometimes, some of these highlights that are coming out, I
[43:51] Speaker 4: think are going to start pushing these guys up the
[43:53] Speaker 4: board a little bit.
[43:55] Speaker 2: Man.
[43:55] Speaker 1: I mean, look, there's like a wide open gap in
[43:57] Speaker 1: the third round of Best Ball drafts right now where
[43:59] Speaker 1: you can make the case for like fifty different guys.
[44:01] Speaker 4: It feels like, yeah, but to your point, like you
[44:04] Speaker 4: you could get if you spend that draft capo on Agbuca,
[44:07] Speaker 4: you could get burned, Like there is that possibility out there.
[44:10] Speaker 1: Yeah, there's there's definitely downside. There's there's for short downside.
[44:14] Speaker 1: And I think Tampa Bay's offense is questionable, Like we
[44:17] Speaker 1: don't know for sure that they're gonna be really dynamic,
[44:19] Speaker 1: and if that's the case, you can at least get
[44:21] Speaker 1: a little bit of like that installation if you if
[44:23] Speaker 1: you're getting a Luthor Burden type where we know the
[44:27] Speaker 1: offense is going to like like we have a better
[44:29] Speaker 1: feel about that offense than we do.
[44:30] Speaker 2: Tampa Bay's.
[44:32] Speaker 4: All right. Next you have Treyvon Henderson.
[44:36] Speaker 2: Yeah, guy talked about earlier. For a second. The upside's
[44:39] Speaker 2: clearly evident.
[44:41] Speaker 1: You know, he had one hundred and forty seven yards
[44:42] Speaker 1: and fourteen carries and that breakout against Tampa Bay, and
[44:44] Speaker 1: then he had eighty plus yards in his next four games,
[44:47] Speaker 1: like he was he was cruising for a little bit
[44:49] Speaker 1: there last year, and then he had that concussion in
[44:51] Speaker 1: Week sixteen, and then from the Divisional round on he
[44:54] Speaker 1: didn't hit a forty percent snapshare like we saw Ramondre
[44:57] Speaker 1: Stevenson really take over that backfield, you know, the playoffs,
[45:00] Speaker 1: which to me, it's like it's almost like if they
[45:03] Speaker 1: didn't have the playoffs stuff, I think that we'd all
[45:06] Speaker 1: feel better about Henderson than we do right now. And
[45:08] Speaker 1: I also think it's disingenuous for people to do the
[45:11] Speaker 1: analysis about Travon Henderson and just ignore what.
[45:13] Speaker 2: Happened in the playoffs.
[45:14] Speaker 1: Like I think that it's still the fact that like
[45:17] Speaker 1: those were their biggest games of the year and they
[45:19] Speaker 1: were relying on Ramandre Stevenson, I think is telling. But
[45:23] Speaker 1: from the Prospect Guide, I do think this is interesting
[45:25] Speaker 1: in Trayvon Henderson's favor, So it says why I just
[45:29] Speaker 1: have a snippet of it. It says one clear takeaway from
[45:31] Speaker 1: year one was Henderson's explosiveness. He gained twenty or more
[45:34] Speaker 1: yards on over three percent of his rushes, the highest
[45:36] Speaker 1: rate in the rookie class. Only thirty three other running
[45:39] Speaker 1: backs in the year two model database have reached that
[45:41] Speaker 1: threshold on one hundred plus carries. As rookies of those
[45:44] Speaker 1: backs who have played four years in the league, they
[45:46] Speaker 1: averaged a best PPR point per game season of fourteen
[45:49] Speaker 1: and a half between years two and four. Okay, so
[45:52] Speaker 1: that's a solid high end RB two campaign for a
[45:56] Speaker 1: player that is that explosive as.
[45:58] Speaker 2: A rookie, which I think kind of makes sense. But
[46:01] Speaker 2: it might not be this.
[46:02] Speaker 1: Year for Traveon because Remandre is still there and there
[46:06] Speaker 1: are a lot of question marks still surrounding Henderson. So
[46:09] Speaker 1: on one hand, he's explosive, he was a pretty great prospect.
[46:13] Speaker 1: On the other, what really changed your aside from New
[46:16] Speaker 1: England likely you know, hopefully being better offensively because theyve
[46:19] Speaker 1: Aj Brown and stuff now. So my verdict with Trayvon
[46:23] Speaker 1: Henderson is pretty neutral. If you want to say that
[46:26] Speaker 1: it's more negative than positive, that's fair because I do
[46:29] Speaker 1: think Remondre is a better value right now.
[46:31] Speaker 2: But I'll say neutral overall for Trayvon. And also the
[46:35] Speaker 2: window on the screen kind of shrunk for a second
[46:37] Speaker 2: there for some reason.
[46:40] Speaker 4: There you go, yeah, all right, there's been some talk
[46:44] Speaker 4: about DK Metcalf and he's next on your list because
[46:46] Speaker 4: people don't know what to do with this Pittsburgh offense.
[46:50] Speaker 2: I have no idea what to do.
[46:51] Speaker 1: I have no idea how to look at Like everything
[46:55] Speaker 1: logically to me says that DK Metcalf is an avoid
[46:58] Speaker 1: and I am.
[46:59] Speaker 2: More out than in U.
[47:01] Speaker 1: He had a twenty two and a half percent target
[47:03] Speaker 1: share last year, and that wasn't an offense that didn't
[47:06] Speaker 1: have Michael Pittman, didn't have Jerman Bernard.
[47:08] Speaker 2: You know, like there's gonna be more.
[47:10] Speaker 1: Even though the Steelers are gonna be heavier this year
[47:14] Speaker 1: than what we've historically seen from Mike McCarthy, I still
[47:17] Speaker 1: think they're gonna run a lot of eleven, like at
[47:19] Speaker 1: least more than what they were with Arthur Smith. So
[47:22] Speaker 1: we're gonna have tougher competition for Dk Metcalf. And he
[47:26] Speaker 1: still only saw a twenty two and a half percent
[47:27] Speaker 1: target chair last year, which isn't anything to write home about. Right,
[47:31] Speaker 1: he still had a one point a three yards per
[47:32] Speaker 1: out run. That's not that bad and he's never had
[47:35] Speaker 1: worse than the twenty percent target share in a season.
[47:37] Speaker 1: So and then the last thing I will say, I
[47:40] Speaker 1: do think that this, like new coaching staff coming in
[47:43] Speaker 1: both defensively, offensively, all of the above for Pittsburgh is
[47:46] Speaker 1: going to be a net positive for twenty twenty six
[47:48] Speaker 1: versus where they were like and I still don't think
[47:50] Speaker 1: the market is fully like realized or thought about that.
[47:54] Speaker 1: With that being said, I'm probably more out than in
[47:56] Speaker 1: with DK Metcalf because I think Michael.
[47:58] Speaker 2: Pittman fits Rogers better.
[48:00] Speaker 1: I think if Jermy Bernard really steps up second half,
[48:02] Speaker 1: we might see a dip with Pittman and Metcalf to
[48:05] Speaker 1: a degree, you know, during the second half of the season.
[48:08] Speaker 1: From a fantasy production standpoint, I think Jalen Warren is
[48:10] Speaker 1: really dynamic as a pass catcher out of the backfield.
[48:13] Speaker 1: Like there's just a lot you know, pat Freyermouth is
[48:15] Speaker 1: probably gonna be used more. Uh, Darnel Washington just signed
[48:18] Speaker 1: a new deal, and obviously he's a blocker first and foremost,
[48:20] Speaker 1: but he can do some stuff through the air. So
[48:22] Speaker 1: I'm probably more out than in with Metcalf, but he
[48:25] Speaker 1: is a very difficult player for me to rank.
[48:28] Speaker 4: Okay, next, are you an r J Harvey hater?
[48:33] Speaker 2: Yeah?
[48:33] Speaker 1: My known hater was my first the first thing I
[48:35] Speaker 1: wanted to bring up. I don't know, I've been I've
[48:37] Speaker 1: been all over the place with r J. Harvey this
[48:39] Speaker 1: offseason because you know, I've talked about it before. I
[48:41] Speaker 1: was out on him to start the off season, but
[48:43] Speaker 1: I actually think that at this point he's not a
[48:47] Speaker 1: bad click. He's just not a great click. He was
[48:50] Speaker 1: just priced too aggressively to start the off season. But
[48:54] Speaker 1: you know, last year he was not great as a
[48:56] Speaker 1: rusher forty six out of forty eight qualified running backs
[48:59] Speaker 1: and rushing yards over expect did per rush.
[49:01] Speaker 2: But as a rookie he saw a ten percent target share.
[49:03] Speaker 1: He was efficient enough as a receiver, like they used
[49:06] Speaker 1: him in the red zone pretty frequently.
[49:07] Speaker 2: As a receiver. It's an ambiguous backfield.
[49:10] Speaker 1: I have said, I said this, you know, last month
[49:12] Speaker 1: or so on the show, But I think that the
[49:14] Speaker 1: Jonah Coleman think could hurt JK.
[49:16] Speaker 2: Dobbins more. It has a potential to than RJ.
[49:20] Speaker 4: Harvey.
[49:20] Speaker 2: It could hurt RJ.
[49:21] Speaker 1: Harvey because Jonah Coleman can catch passes, he can pass
[49:23] Speaker 1: pro but r J. Harvey is not necessarily like like,
[49:27] Speaker 1: they're not going to view him as like a safe
[49:29] Speaker 1: receiving option who can be out there in passing downs.
[49:31] Speaker 2: They're viewing him as.
[49:32] Speaker 1: A weapon that they can get the ball to to
[49:35] Speaker 1: make big plays happen. As a receiver, and so I
[49:37] Speaker 1: don't want to discount that when I know receiving matters
[49:40] Speaker 1: so much at running back. So I'm neutral with RJ.
[49:43] Speaker 1: Harvey right now. You know it's changed based on cost
[49:47] Speaker 1: and et cetera. But it's definitely a hard situation for.
[49:50] Speaker 2: Me to rank overall.
[49:53] Speaker 4: Okay, we've got the Bears pass catchers, and man, I
[49:58] Speaker 4: share these sentiments they gets it's hard to kind of
[50:01] Speaker 4: choose where these guys are going.
[50:03] Speaker 2: Great ecosystem, no DJ Moore.
[50:06] Speaker 1: But then you have an elite prospect in Colston Loveland,
[50:10] Speaker 1: one of the best tight ends. I think that we're
[50:12] Speaker 1: gonna like he Colson Loveland, in my opinion, is going
[50:14] Speaker 1: to be part of like that next Him and Brock
[50:16] Speaker 1: Bauers are going to be part of this next like
[50:18] Speaker 1: Travis Kelce, Rob Gronkowski type type impact in fantasy football. Right, So,
[50:24] Speaker 1: Colton Loveland's fantastic. Luther Burton loved him as a prospect.
[50:28] Speaker 1: If Luther Burton did what he did as a rookie,
[50:30] Speaker 1: but he didn't have the prospect profile, wouldn't be nearly
[50:32] Speaker 1: as in.
[50:32] Speaker 2: But he had a great prospect profile.
[50:33] Speaker 1: And then he went out and in his limited action
[50:35] Speaker 1: he was pretty good, and he's getting buzz already, and
[50:39] Speaker 1: there's just a lot of positive vibes around Luther Burton slash.
[50:42] Speaker 1: There's a lot of data to suggest that this is
[50:44] Speaker 1: the right kind of player that you want to throw
[50:46] Speaker 1: a dart at. I say throw a dart, I just
[50:48] Speaker 1: mean like, like, obviously he's not a late round pick,
[50:51] Speaker 1: but once you're getting into like, I think he's gonna
[50:53] Speaker 1: end up going later in home leagues, and he is
[50:55] Speaker 1: in best Ball and stuff, and so if you're getting
[50:58] Speaker 1: Luther Burton in like round five and a in a
[51:01] Speaker 1: regular season long league, like that's phenomenal.
[51:03] Speaker 2: I'd like it's a perfect kind of bet to make. Right.
[51:07] Speaker 1: But then Romadunza I still think is a pretty good
[51:09] Speaker 1: pick too, especially as his ADP falls. So the obvious
[51:13] Speaker 1: question here is can all of them eat? Like, can
[51:15] Speaker 1: all of them get enough work to be relevant in
[51:17] Speaker 1: fantasy football?
[51:18] Speaker 2: I think there's a chance that they can.
[51:20] Speaker 1: You know, where it's not it's a pretty concentrated offense overall,
[51:24] Speaker 1: and you know they're we're able to see you know,
[51:27] Speaker 1: Burden be the the amen Ra and we're able to
[51:31] Speaker 1: see Roma Dunza be the JMO and We're able to
[51:35] Speaker 1: see Colson Lovelan be the Sam Laporta. You know, Like,
[51:37] Speaker 1: I don't think that this is out of the question
[51:39] Speaker 1: at all for this offense.
[51:41] Speaker 2: So I'm buying in to offense.
[51:45] Speaker 4: This is the most in you've been on all these
[51:47] Speaker 4: players that are tough to.
[51:48] Speaker 2: Rank, Yeah, because I just think that's the other ones.
[51:50] Speaker 4: You said mostly in, but this you're you're in. That's
[51:53] Speaker 4: why I did.
[51:54] Speaker 2: They're tough.
[51:54] Speaker 1: They're tough to rank because I could see a scenario
[51:57] Speaker 1: where Romadunze outproduces the other two that Colson Loveland just
[52:01] Speaker 1: like destroys, and then the other guys kind of underperform.
[52:03] Speaker 1: Like I see that scenario play out, But I think
[52:06] Speaker 1: expected value, range of outcomes wise, Like I just I like,
[52:09] Speaker 1: I like these three players, like I'm I'm gonna be
[52:13] Speaker 1: drafting them.
[52:14] Speaker 4: It's like with the Jags and the Bears. It's just
[52:16] Speaker 4: tough sometimes when you draft players that are in good
[52:20] Speaker 4: ecosystems and then every week you have a decision to make, yeah,
[52:24] Speaker 4: to start them or not. That's why best ball it
[52:26] Speaker 4: makes a lot more sense.
[52:28] Speaker 1: I think though, too, that sometimes a lot of times
[52:31] Speaker 1: I'm approaching this kind of thing by knowing that I'm
[52:33] Speaker 1: going to have a lot of teams, and so if
[52:36] Speaker 1: I'm drafting one team, I'm gonna have to make a
[52:39] Speaker 1: bet on one of these guys. And I could probably
[52:42] Speaker 1: tell you that that player is probably Burden, that I
[52:45] Speaker 1: because with Loveland, you know, it's a onesie position. I
[52:48] Speaker 1: think tight end has some interesting late round whatever the
[52:50] Speaker 1: case may be. Right, Like, it's just not a position
[52:53] Speaker 1: that I'm going to be more. I'm more willing to
[52:55] Speaker 1: buy into wide receiver than tight end only because you
[52:59] Speaker 1: need that tight end to hit in a big way
[53:01] Speaker 1: for him to pay off in fantasy football, whereas there's
[53:03] Speaker 1: a little bit more leeway when the demand of the
[53:05] Speaker 1: position at wide receiver is so much greater.
[53:07] Speaker 2: Right, And I like Burden more than a dune.
[53:10] Speaker 1: Say so, if I'm going to pick one, if I
[53:12] Speaker 1: had one team, it's probably Luther Burden. Right. But the
[53:16] Speaker 1: idea here is that I'm gonna have met multiple right,
[53:19] Speaker 1: And I like. This is where I don't like fantasy
[53:23] Speaker 1: analysis is when people are like, you gotta choose who
[53:25] Speaker 1: that's the jack the Jacksonville thing all over again.
[53:28] Speaker 2: You gotta choose which one you're in on.
[53:29] Speaker 1: It's like, no, if I miss out on Luther Burden,
[53:32] Speaker 1: that does not mean that I'm not drafting Roma Dunza
[53:34] Speaker 1: because I'm in on Burden, you know, Like that's a
[53:37] Speaker 1: ridiculous way of looking at this, because range of outcomes wise,
[53:40] Speaker 1: I see a scenario where Roma Dunzay could outscore Luther Burden,
[53:43] Speaker 1: you know, range of outcomes wise, I could see Colston
[53:46] Speaker 1: Lovelin being easily the tight end two, maybe even pushing
[53:48] Speaker 1: tight end one numbers this year. Like, there's those outcomes
[53:51] Speaker 1: are there, And to dismiss those outcomes simply because you
[53:55] Speaker 1: need to have a stance on one player is one
[53:57] Speaker 1: of the dumbest things that I could possibly hear from
[53:59] Speaker 1: a fantasy analysts like stop or or someone who's listening
[54:02] Speaker 1: to fantasy analysts, like, we don't need to be like
[54:05] Speaker 1: this in fantasy football. This is a probability driven game,
[54:09] Speaker 1: and as we make our choices throughout our draft, we're
[54:12] Speaker 1: trying to find.
[54:12] Speaker 2: The best expected outcome.
[54:14] Speaker 1: And so if I don't get Luther Burden or I
[54:16] Speaker 1: miss out on him, or if I don't get Colson
[54:18] Speaker 1: Love when I miss out on him, that doesn't mean
[54:20] Speaker 1: that I'm like, oh, I can't draft Roma Doon today
[54:22] Speaker 1: because I like those other guys. No, that's ridiculous, Like
[54:25] Speaker 1: I think we can be in on all of these
[54:27] Speaker 1: guys in individual ways.
[54:30] Speaker 4: Here's some constructive criticism. This tough to rank section would
[54:33] Speaker 4: be enhanced if they are discussed in context of the
[54:36] Speaker 4: current rankings and who is nearby. At least maybe the
[54:39] Speaker 4: numbers in the excel sheet would help me here.
[54:42] Speaker 2: Yeah, well you can check out the rankings on lateround
[54:44] Speaker 2: dot com.
[54:45] Speaker 4: Here you go, here you go. But received that received
[54:50] Speaker 4: that constructive criticism. Listen, We've got a lot of stuff
[54:53] Speaker 4: going on. You know, there's just a lot of stuff
[54:56] Speaker 4: happening here. So if anyone wants to, you know, put
[54:59] Speaker 4: together those ADPs that these guys are near, go for it.
[55:04] Speaker 4: You'll put it, put it in the discord and and
[55:07] Speaker 4: we'll share it.
[55:08] Speaker 1: He's also just very unreliable right now, which is partially.
[55:11] Speaker 4: It's all over the place because there's best Ball ADP.
[55:14] Speaker 4: There's like can you really trust like Redraft ADP right now,
[55:18] Speaker 4: it's more like just where where rankings are, Like, you know,
[55:22] Speaker 4: just a set of rankings and you're those are all
[55:26] Speaker 4: over the place as well. No, we'll get more concrete
[55:29] Speaker 4: data as it as it gets closer. All right, let's
[55:32] Speaker 4: wrap this up. All right. We have again so much

[56:40] Speaker 2: Work to do in my life, like this much on
[56:43] Speaker 2: me right now.
[56:44] Speaker 4: Which, if you know JJ, and this is not me,
[56:46] Speaker 4: you know Brown nosing. But if you know JJE works hard,
[56:51] Speaker 4: we know is fantasy content. He works hard, so that's
[56:54] Speaker 4: saying something. But this is also why I've I've never
