[0:14] Speaker 1: noon Eastern without further ado. Here's this week's.
[0:17] Speaker 2: Episode, Welcome In.
[0:31] Speaker 3: Welcome In. It's a Late Round Fantasy football show sponsored
[0:34] Speaker 3: by DraftKings. David Kitchen here alongside my Ride or Die,
[0:40] Speaker 3: my road trip partner. Last week, a guy that I
[0:44] Speaker 3: may have dominated in a baseball game that we play. No, No, yes,
[0:53] Speaker 3: j Jena, welcome to the show.
[0:55] Speaker 1: We're not We're not going there. There's a what's the
[0:59] Speaker 1: game called? There's a game for a switch where you
[1:01] Speaker 1: can play like mini games, you know, like board game
[1:03] Speaker 1: type stuff, and there's a baseball game in it, and
[1:06] Speaker 1: Kitchen claims that he'd be We went into like we
[1:08] Speaker 1: couldn't score for for innings upon innings. Then he just.
[1:11] Speaker 3: Got but who did score at the very end, lucky?
[1:14] Speaker 1: He just got lucky. But no, it was it was
[1:16] Speaker 1: a good weekend at the expo, you know, got to
[1:18] Speaker 1: see people we haven't seen in a minute like the footballers.
[1:21] Speaker 1: It was good to hang out with them, got to
[1:24] Speaker 1: see people that we see there each year. I got
[1:26] Speaker 1: to see Gretch too. Gretch was another one that we
[1:28] Speaker 1: hadn't seen in a minute. But it was a great time,
[1:30] Speaker 1: you know, to to be able to you know, get
[1:32] Speaker 1: together and draft some teams. You were in the King's
[1:36] Speaker 1: Classic this year in the other division, but we both
[1:39] Speaker 1: drew the one on one and we had kind of
[1:41] Speaker 1: comparable builds, you know, with out of that spot. And
[1:45] Speaker 1: then we did the auction Draft right after, so that
[1:47] Speaker 1: was a lot of fun. So it was a good
[1:48] Speaker 1: weekend all around.
[1:50] Speaker 3: Yeah, the auction draft was pretty intense. We had the
[1:54] Speaker 3: number in my room, We had the number ten auctioneer
[1:58] Speaker 3: in the world. Just had a competition you did. Oh,
[2:02] Speaker 3: it was intense. I saw Shane Hallim on Twitter. So
[2:06] Speaker 3: this is the most like intense draft I've ever been
[2:09] Speaker 3: a part of. And I I have the same way
[2:11] Speaker 3: like you're You're It was like three hours and so
[2:14] Speaker 3: you were hanging on every player and you're checking your
[2:17] Speaker 3: sheet and and everything else. There's fourteen teams in there
[2:20] Speaker 3: with deep rosters, three wide receivers, three flex and uh, yeah,
[2:27] Speaker 3: it was interesting. It was funny because our drafts went
[2:31] Speaker 3: fairly similar. For the Snake draft, auction draft was pretty different. Yeah,
[2:35] Speaker 3: as far as and that just goes to show that
[2:38] Speaker 3: auction drafts are kind of like it's you no auxy
[2:42] Speaker 3: draft is the same because you read the room. Yeah,
[2:44] Speaker 3: you have different strategies. It's uh, every room is is different,
[2:49] Speaker 3: all right, so we do. Yeah, I want to say that.
[2:53] Speaker 3: Hold on JJ said before the show, He's like, I'm
[2:55] Speaker 3: gonna surprise you with something. I've got to.
[2:57] Speaker 1: Say something that needs to be said. Okay, So I'm
[3:00] Speaker 1: one of those people on the internet that does read
[3:02] Speaker 1: the comments, that does look at my mentions, and I
[3:06] Speaker 1: will gladly, you know, take in any criticism or jab
[3:11] Speaker 1: back if you're gonna troll, you know, not in like
[3:14] Speaker 1: a just more of like a fun sarcastic way at
[3:17] Speaker 1: this point in my life. But I read the comments
[3:20] Speaker 1: because there's a lot of good feedback from the comments,
[3:22] Speaker 1: Like genuinely there's there's good feedback that are received via comments.
[3:27] Speaker 1: People think that it's all trolling as bad for your
[3:29] Speaker 1: mental health. I disagree. I think that there's there's it's
[3:32] Speaker 1: people that are voicing their opinion about how a show
[3:35] Speaker 1: goes and they say, hey, I didn't like this part,
[3:38] Speaker 1: and it's like, Okay, I might still do that thing,
[3:41] Speaker 1: but I know that you don't like it, and maybe
[3:43] Speaker 1: other people feel the same way. There was one piece
[3:46] Speaker 1: of feedback from last week's show episode. I don't know
[3:48] Speaker 1: if you knew know about this kitchen, but I'd like
[3:52] Speaker 1: to address it, and I've I've actually written a statement
[3:54] Speaker 1: that I'm going to read, oh boy or this particular situation. Okay, first,
[3:59] Speaker 1: I'm gonna up my phone on Focus because for some
[4:02] Speaker 1: reason it wasn't a right a statement regarding last week's
[4:07] Speaker 1: news item about Sam Laporta. On last week's Late Round
[4:11] Speaker 1: Fantasy Football show, my co host and COO David Kitchen
[4:14] Speaker 1: read a news item about Sam Laporta recovering from a microdissectomy.
[4:19] Speaker 1: Immediately after, rather than responding with a take to that
[4:22] Speaker 1: news item, I immediately started talking about the Falcons quarterback job.
[4:27] Speaker 1: I'd like to go on record and say that I
[4:28] Speaker 1: was wrong and I apologize. Rather than responding individually to
[4:33] Speaker 1: the countless comments, social media mentions and emails, I just
[4:36] Speaker 1: like to go on record and say that I had
[4:38] Speaker 1: a thirty second period where I was completely lost and
[4:41] Speaker 1: there were three main reasons as to why I was lost. First,
[4:45] Speaker 1: as many of you know, I was sick last week.
[4:47] Speaker 1: My brain wasn't functioning the way it typically does, and
[4:50] Speaker 1: that led to me not fully paying attention to what
[4:52] Speaker 1: was going on. Second, my co host was attempting to
[4:54] Speaker 1: pronounce the word microdissectomy before handing it off to me,
[4:58] Speaker 1: and that really threw me off. I'll be speaking to
[5:01] Speaker 1: David Kitchen separately on that matter so it doesn't happen again. Third,
[5:05] Speaker 1: bringing it all together, that same co host skip the
[5:08] Speaker 1: laporta item in our show sheet and then went back
[5:11] Speaker 1: to it, which threw me off completely. As you know,
[5:13] Speaker 1: I was sick last week, So really, instead of emailing
[5:17] Speaker 1: me and sending me messages on social media about my incompetence,
[5:21] Speaker 1: please direct all of that hate to David Kitchen. This
[5:24] Speaker 1: is actually all of his fault. You can reach them
[5:25] Speaker 1: via email at David at Lateround dot com or on
[5:28] Speaker 1: Twitter at David Underscore Kitchen. I appreciate everyone's time.
[5:34] Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that was a surprise that I apologize as
[5:39] Speaker 3: well for my part, and that we didn't talk about
[5:42] Speaker 3: this because I'm like, maybe no one will know this.
[5:44] Speaker 1: I was so guys. Last week I was feeling like
[5:48] Speaker 1: absolute garbage, and then when that was going on, I
[5:52] Speaker 1: was actively thinking, I think I just started talking about
[5:55] Speaker 1: something completely different because I was just going off with
[5:57] Speaker 1: the show sheet.
[5:57] Speaker 3: So the first thing I did after the episode usually
[6:00] Speaker 3: I like create the you know, our podcast titles and
[6:03] Speaker 3: stuff like that. The first thing I did was I
[6:05] Speaker 3: was like, I must have zoned out because I did not,
[6:08] Speaker 3: and no one else said it in the chat at
[6:10] Speaker 3: the time, and so I had to go back and
[6:13] Speaker 3: look at it, and I was like, Okay.
[6:15] Speaker 1: That's the thing. The chat wasn't very on top of
[6:16] Speaker 1: it either in that In that case, the problem was
[6:19] Speaker 1: I heard about an injury, and then we talked about
[6:21] Speaker 1: players who were injured. So I kind of make because
[6:23] Speaker 1: because I was just kind of going off of the
[6:25] Speaker 1: line items in the show sheet.
[6:26] Speaker 3: For our news items, I do skip around sometimes as
[6:29] Speaker 3: far as like when it's like a position or if
[6:31] Speaker 3: there's someone that we mentioned, I just go to that player.
[6:33] Speaker 3: I do skip around. I apologize and in the future
[6:37] Speaker 3: I will say, JJ, I don't know what you're talking about,
[6:40] Speaker 3: Like I thought it was me.
[6:41] Speaker 1: That's fine.
[6:42] Speaker 3: I thought it was asked me.
[6:43] Speaker 1: A lot of trouble brother brother. I got not only comments,
[6:47] Speaker 1: not only people on Twitter. I had two or three
[6:51] Speaker 1: emails from people that were asking what I was doing
[6:55] Speaker 1: in that moment. And to tell you the truth, I
[6:57] Speaker 1: don't know, because I wasn't well and there was just
[7:01] Speaker 1: a lot going on in that particular moment. So I
[7:03] Speaker 1: apologize and hopefully we can move on and I'll be friendsy. Yeah.
[7:06] Speaker 3: I was stuck in a car with JJ where he
[7:09] Speaker 3: was coughing up along last week and also he had
[7:14] Speaker 3: sick kids there at the house, and I thought I
[7:17] Speaker 3: was out of it, and then JJ was like, well no,
[7:19] Speaker 3: it took me six or seven days to be fair.
[7:23] Speaker 1: I was on the tail end at that point.
[7:24] Speaker 3: So I I think I woke up this morning though,
[7:27] Speaker 3: like I think I'm good now.
[7:29] Speaker 1: First was there was there was a day of sore throat.
[7:32] Speaker 1: That was the first thing.
[7:33] Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't think I've had and.
[7:34] Speaker 1: I'm finally I'm finally like back to This is the
[7:37] Speaker 1: first day I feel like that I'm like fully fully
[7:39] Speaker 1: back to normal. But I don't think I was contagious
[7:41] Speaker 1: back then.
[7:43] Speaker 3: We have eight days until football starts Hall of Fame game.
[7:46] Speaker 3: We were just there at the Hall of fame Mary Fitzgerald,
[7:51] Speaker 3: He's gonna be there. We have new merch in the
[7:58] Speaker 3: store on Late Round dot com and it is the
[8:01] Speaker 3: t shirts, the Miami Vice kind of themed t.
[8:05] Speaker 1: Shirts, draft guide theme that we wore.
[8:09] Speaker 3: Yes, the Draft guide theme that we wore to the expo.
[8:12] Speaker 3: That's available for everybody. And also want to give a
[8:15] Speaker 3: shout out to our sponsors drafting have the draft one
[8:18] Speaker 3: get one. Lots to talk about Best Ball this week.
[8:23] Speaker 3: I was just thinking on the way home, like if
[8:24] Speaker 3: we did not have Best Ball and DraftKings Best Ball,
[8:28] Speaker 3: what would we be doing, Like what would be talking
[8:31] Speaker 3: about dynasty shares right now?
[8:33] Speaker 1: Like you know it's I mean, people are people are
[8:35] Speaker 1: getting in the redraft now we're we're here, now we're
[8:38] Speaker 1: here right Yes, July June and early July, I would
[8:41] Speaker 1: not be as fun.
[8:43] Speaker 3: But referencing stuff. So yeah, they do have the huge
[8:46] Speaker 3: million maker contest speaking out. JJ will be drafting right
[8:50] Speaker 3: after this show on the YouTube channel, another draft and
[8:55] Speaker 3: then we will have Also we're starting trying to be
[9:01] Speaker 3: more consistent with their draft times, so one pm Eastern
[9:05] Speaker 3: those are gonna be that's gonna be the time we
[9:07] Speaker 3: try to draft. So if it's one pm Eastern, twelfth Central.
[9:11] Speaker 3: You need to just check the Late Round Challenge see
[9:14] Speaker 3: if we're drafting, and we should. We should be up there.
[9:16] Speaker 3: But going back to the best ball stuff, draft one,
[9:19] Speaker 3: get get one promo code Late Round. Talk to someone
[9:23] Speaker 3: at the expo where they were like, you know, you
[9:25] Speaker 3: said that you didn't have like, if you didn't have
[9:29] Speaker 3: a huge bankroll, you could still draft the three dollars
[9:32] Speaker 3: dollar teams. That's what I've been doing. Maxed out the
[9:34] Speaker 3: twenty of the one dollar contest. So all I need
[9:38] Speaker 3: to do draftings dot Com promo code Late Round link
[9:41] Speaker 3: is in the description. And we have spent a lot
[9:44] Speaker 3: of time talking JJ. Are you ready to move on?
[9:46] Speaker 1: Yeah, there's gonna be. I'll read the comments, guys, trust
[9:49] Speaker 1: me when you complain about this. But yes, let's move
[9:50] Speaker 1: on to the news.
[9:52] Speaker 3: Today's fantasy news. All right, Uh, today's news started with
[9:58] Speaker 3: a tua. Yeah, listen, this Atlanta quarterback situation is already
[10:06] Speaker 3: a miss. He had a flare up. They signed Cooper Rush.
[10:09] Speaker 3: We don't know what's happening. What's your take on this?
[10:12] Speaker 3: To a thing? Just when we thought he was like
[10:13] Speaker 3: QB one.
[10:15] Speaker 1: So look, I don't mind Sam Laporta this year. I'm
[10:19] Speaker 1: just stop just kidding. Uh No, I mean, like it's
[10:23] Speaker 1: my stance from last week in this this quarterback room,
[10:25] Speaker 1: like I'm not like super super bowlish on you know,
[10:29] Speaker 1: any of these guys. It does like I saw that
[10:32] Speaker 1: that Michael Pennix was clear for seven on seven. He
[10:35] Speaker 1: threw a nice pass to Zachariah Branch in seven on seven.
[10:40] Speaker 1: But yeah, I mean, like overall, I think I'd rather
[10:44] Speaker 1: have Tua under center for Bijon and maybe feeding Drake London.
[10:50] Speaker 1: And I feel but like he's just been really not
[10:53] Speaker 1: great and we don't have Mike McDaniel leading that offense
[10:57] Speaker 1: at this point. So yeah, I mean it at least
[11:00] Speaker 1: opens the door a little bit for Michael Pennix this
[11:02] Speaker 1: back thing. But we'll see, we'll see what ends up happening.
[11:05] Speaker 1: Hopefully it's just a minor, minor issue.
[11:08] Speaker 3: Okay, This next one, this one was an interesting one.
[11:13] Speaker 3: JJ sach scharbon sharp as we call them, ready for
[11:19] Speaker 3: week one, that is, that is and fathomable. I don't
[11:26] Speaker 3: know if that's true. I think that might be more speculation.
[11:30] Speaker 3: And you were in the the twitter streets, uh do
[11:33] Speaker 3: get it out?
[11:34] Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, I there was a tweet from Sleeper.
[11:37] Speaker 1: I quot tweeted it because it was a I think
[11:40] Speaker 1: Breer was it? Breer who who was reporting on it,
[11:42] Speaker 1: like basically saying that like sharbon At might be ready
[11:46] Speaker 1: for week one or like that they're not. You know,
[11:48] Speaker 1: they don't know for sure, and I just haven't led
[11:50] Speaker 1: it out, ye right, And I said, I said, I'm sorry,
[11:53] Speaker 1: that was my my quote tweet to that, because clearly
[11:56] Speaker 1: anyone in the fantasy space right now, we're assuming that
[11:59] Speaker 1: it's more of like a November thing. Some people don't
[12:01] Speaker 1: even think he's gonna play at all this year. And
[12:05] Speaker 1: you know, if you look at this from a timeline perspective,
[12:08] Speaker 1: he got hurt in January. He then got surgery because
[12:11] Speaker 1: there was swelling and such. A month later. February twentieth
[12:16] Speaker 1: was the surgery date, which means by the time the
[12:18] Speaker 1: season starts, it's like six and a half months post
[12:21] Speaker 1: op for that acl which typically you know, for running
[12:25] Speaker 1: backs and such a future. I mean, look, if you
[12:27] Speaker 1: want to think that he's Superman or you know, can
[12:30] Speaker 1: be ahead of what we typically see, that's one thing.
[12:33] Speaker 1: But this is like multiple months, if not at least
[12:36] Speaker 1: a month ahead of like the earliest we've ever seen
[12:39] Speaker 1: a guy come back from an ACL, And yeah, you know,
[12:42] Speaker 1: medicine and peptides and all. You know, I've seen a
[12:44] Speaker 1: lot of people talk about like peptides and that's gonna
[12:47] Speaker 1: help a lot of these players recover from injury. Well
[12:49] Speaker 1: some of them are banned first off, from being used
[12:52] Speaker 1: by NFL players, So keep that in mind. But also,
[12:56] Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't know enough about medicine to
[12:58] Speaker 1: say like, yeah, these guys are gonna cut two months
[13:01] Speaker 1: off of their recovery time from an ACL because of peptides.
[13:05] Speaker 1: You know, I just don't think that it's a reasonable
[13:07] Speaker 1: thing to me to sit on a podcast is gonna
[13:08] Speaker 1: be listening to a lot of people and say that, right,
[13:11] Speaker 1: So my stance still is that that's a very very
[13:14] Speaker 1: bolish and optimistic way to view Sharbonay. My guess is
[13:18] Speaker 1: still like maybe October at the earliest, just based on
[13:22] Speaker 1: what we've seen traditionally, But I think November is a
[13:25] Speaker 1: more reasonable timeline. And if you're talking about like getting
[13:27] Speaker 1: back to full strength, that's that's sort of like that
[13:30] Speaker 1: mid November timeframe and area. Now, how does that impact
[13:33] Speaker 1: the rest of that backfield. I do think that if
[13:35] Speaker 1: you think about it from like Jenerian Price's standpoint, he's
[13:38] Speaker 1: got to really do something and grab hold of that
[13:40] Speaker 1: backfield to start the season because Sharboney could be hurting
[13:44] Speaker 1: him when it matters most in the fantasy playoffs, you know,
[13:47] Speaker 1: so to keep that in mind, I still think that,
[13:50] Speaker 1: like the stuff that we're seeing with George Hallani is
[13:55] Speaker 1: not just BS. I think there's probably something to I mean,
[13:59] Speaker 1: he got run in the plays a little bit like
[14:00] Speaker 1: I think he's at least like a la Quinn Allen
[14:03] Speaker 1: type player for them, And then there's the upside of
[14:06] Speaker 1: maybe he gets more early down work than we think.
[14:08] Speaker 1: And we can sit here and say that doesn't make
[14:10] Speaker 1: any sense, but I think a lot of people thought
[14:11] Speaker 1: it didn't make any sense from this with the backfield
[14:13] Speaker 1: last year, the way that they did with Kenneth Walker,
[14:15] Speaker 1: and when you get confirmation that they did it the
[14:18] Speaker 1: right way because they won the Super Bowl largely or
[14:21] Speaker 1: at least partially because of Kenneth Walker, who won Super
[14:23] Speaker 1: Bowl MVP because he probably had fresher legs, I don't
[14:26] Speaker 1: think that they just forgot it, like forgot about that,
[14:29] Speaker 1: you know. So there might be more of a split
[14:32] Speaker 1: than people assume. I think price is fine as like
[14:35] Speaker 1: a sixth round pick. I'm a little bit worried if
[14:38] Speaker 1: he goes in like the Travion jud Kin, you know,
[14:42] Speaker 1: those like year two guys, those running backs in that range.
[14:45] Speaker 1: I think that he should be below them. But yeah,
[14:48] Speaker 1: like that, that's my general feel of this backfield. I
[14:50] Speaker 1: I would be shocked if Zach Sharbiney has a role
[14:56] Speaker 1: in Week one. I'd be pretty shocked.
[14:59] Speaker 3: I did tell you that you need to go on
[15:01] Speaker 3: VPC one five to seven and let me know how
[15:04] Speaker 3: it out feels.
[15:05] Speaker 1: That's not I'm not a peptide bro. I can't. I can't.
[15:07] Speaker 1: I get too nervous about putting anything in my body.
[15:10] Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the one.
[15:11] Speaker 1: I got nervous enough when I started taking creatine last year.
[15:13] Speaker 1: You know, I'm not.
[15:16] Speaker 3: They call it the Wolverine stack. But yeah, if everyone
[15:19] Speaker 3: else is doing it, I'm I'm going to be doing it.
[15:21] Speaker 3: I talked to a guy actually that he his business
[15:27] Speaker 3: helps NFL players a lot of a lot of different
[15:30] Speaker 3: athletes get back to like their former selves, helps with
[15:34] Speaker 3: injuries like a sports chiropractice, And he said that BPC
[15:38] Speaker 3: one five, so big, were we go?
[15:40] Speaker 1: Here we go?
[15:41] Speaker 3: Now?
[15:41] Speaker 1: Now Kitchen's just making more comments happen in the Spotify
[15:45] Speaker 1: second comments. It's gonna be great.
[15:47] Speaker 3: Listen, there might be some sponsors out there.
[15:49] Speaker 1: You know, we're not getting spot I don't want to
[15:52] Speaker 1: Peptide brand sponsoring us. All right, let's move on to
[15:54] Speaker 1: the next one.
[15:55] Speaker 3: Cards running back room is a mess. Kind of like
[15:58] Speaker 3: this show so far, I don't know what to take
[16:02] Speaker 3: from all. You know, the coach speak. Then you've got
[16:06] Speaker 3: keeping all four running backs, you got Trey Benson trying
[16:10] Speaker 3: to play special teams. I mean, what are we making
[16:13] Speaker 3: of this running back?
[16:14] Speaker 1: Well, in these situations, like when Nathaniel Hackett comes out
[16:17] Speaker 1: and you start talking about like James Connor being the
[16:20] Speaker 1: RB one or something, or just like praising him, I
[16:23] Speaker 1: hope that in these situations the market reacts to that
[16:28] Speaker 1: type of type of coach speak. Right in the end,
[16:32] Speaker 1: we know that Jeremiah Love is the best running back
[16:34] Speaker 1: in this backfield, right. I think that Tyler Aljier is
[16:39] Speaker 1: a really good grinder. More of that, like early down profile,
[16:45] Speaker 1: he was a pretty decent enough pass catcher. I mean,
[16:47] Speaker 1: he had a really interesting prospect profile because he converted
[16:50] Speaker 1: to running back whenever he was in college, Like it
[16:52] Speaker 1: wasn't wasn't this like thing that he just did from
[16:55] Speaker 1: the start, like he was playing on defense and stuff,
[16:58] Speaker 1: and so uh, good for him for doing what he did,
[17:01] Speaker 1: you know, in the NFL thus far. But with that
[17:04] Speaker 1: being said, Jeremiah Love and I talked about this on
[17:07] Speaker 1: the Schedule Analysis Show. The Cardinals have a really really
[17:10] Speaker 1: tough schedule this year, like like obscenely tough, and it
[17:14] Speaker 1: starts out really hard, and so I'm very interested to
[17:18] Speaker 1: see how that backfield is split when we know that
[17:21] Speaker 1: or we don't know for sure, but we we believe
[17:24] Speaker 1: that Jeremiah Love is more of that traditional pass catching
[17:28] Speaker 1: you know, we'll play and hurry up or play on
[17:31] Speaker 1: third downs long down and distance two minute. And if
[17:34] Speaker 1: that's the case, he might be on the field a
[17:35] Speaker 1: little bit more because the Cardinals aren' going to be
[17:37] Speaker 1: very good, right, Like that's the anti Tyler Algier stance.
[17:41] Speaker 1: In my opinion, I think Love in round three is
[17:45] Speaker 1: a very good bet because you know, everyone will comp
[17:50] Speaker 1: the Ashton Genty thing, right and they'll say, oh, look
[17:52] Speaker 1: at Ashton Gent burned us last year. Well, Ashton Gent's
[17:55] Speaker 1: production in round three last year is actually totally fine,
[17:59] Speaker 1: totally And then there's obviously the upside of like what if,
[18:02] Speaker 1: what if Jeremiah Love is just in a better situation
[18:05] Speaker 1: than we expect, or what if Arizona's offense a little
[18:07] Speaker 1: bit better, whatever the case may be. And so, like,
[18:10] Speaker 1: I don't really want to make the apples to the
[18:13] Speaker 1: I think that the comparison to Genty is more of
[18:15] Speaker 1: an apples the oranges comparison because Genty was a first
[18:17] Speaker 1: round pick and re draft last year, you know, going
[18:19] Speaker 1: in like the the end of the first or whatever,
[18:22] Speaker 1: And so with Jeremiah Love, you're getting him at a
[18:24] Speaker 1: discount from that, and I think that where he's going
[18:28] Speaker 1: is more than reasonable. As a result, now there's going
[18:30] Speaker 1: to be some platforms like ESPN is really high on
[18:33] Speaker 1: Jeremiah Love. I think they have him at like RB
[18:36] Speaker 1: five or something like something crazy. That's where he becomes
[18:40] Speaker 1: a fade. Like I'm not taking him in that first
[18:43] Speaker 1: like at least round and a half, but late round two,
[18:45] Speaker 1: when things start to fall off at the running back position,
[18:48] Speaker 1: you know, after like Derek Henry falls off the board,
[18:51] Speaker 1: that's where I think you can start looking at at
[18:53] Speaker 1: Love a little bit more. And in best Ball, we've
[18:55] Speaker 1: been getting him in round three. You know, he's a
[18:56] Speaker 1: he's a early to mid round three pick. And so
[19:00] Speaker 1: so if this news is shifting that in any way,
[19:02] Speaker 1: shape or form, I mean, you have James Connor and older.
[19:05] Speaker 1: I mean, look, I love James Connor. Not only is
[19:07] Speaker 1: he for all intents and purpose, like for what you hear,
[19:09] Speaker 1: just an awesome dude who you know, beat cancer. He's
[19:13] Speaker 1: a pit guy, right, I mean, like hailed a pit right.
[19:16] Speaker 1: Like I love James Connor, but he's on the wrong
[19:18] Speaker 1: side of his career. From an age perspective, I already
[19:21] Speaker 1: talked about Tyler Algier. I was never a big Trey
[19:24] Speaker 1: Benson guy, aside from like last year when he was
[19:27] Speaker 1: really really cheap to acquire and I thought it was
[19:29] Speaker 1: fine to just throw that dart and see if he
[19:30] Speaker 1: could maybe do something when he returned from injury. It
[19:33] Speaker 1: just never happened. So I'm just looking at this backfield
[19:36] Speaker 1: and saying, like, I don't think that there's like such
[19:39] Speaker 1: intense threats for Jeremiah Love. In the end, Tyler Algier
[19:44] Speaker 1: is a solid back who can definitely do some stuff
[19:46] Speaker 1: on the early downs and maybe at the goal line.
[19:49] Speaker 1: That's definitely a fear. But I don't think that you're
[19:51] Speaker 1: drafting a Cardinals running back for goal line touches. You know,
[19:55] Speaker 1: we just know that this this situation is gonna be
[19:57] Speaker 1: more pass heavy and not necessarily the highest scoring in
[20:01] Speaker 1: the world. So I think love if he does tumble
[20:03] Speaker 1: a little bit in ADP just makes him a little
[20:05] Speaker 1: bit more attractive.
[20:07] Speaker 3: Okay, this was a blurb by our good friend Rodopet
[20:11] Speaker 3: that we saw over the weekend. Marshall Lloyd spent multiple
[20:16] Speaker 3: months of the offseason visiting a specialized injury rehab institute
[20:21] Speaker 3: so ye two to three months basically, and what they
[20:25] Speaker 3: found was that he was kind of overcompensating for a
[20:29] Speaker 3: previous ACL injury that he had. But also keep in
[20:32] Speaker 3: mind that Josh Jacobs the investigation is still open, and
[20:36] Speaker 3: also Chris Brooks is on the non football injury list yesterday.
[20:41] Speaker 1: Yeah. You know, it's funny because the same exact team,
[20:44] Speaker 1: Christian Watson, was doing something similar with his hamstrings last
[20:47] Speaker 1: year or two years ago, or at least the last
[20:49] Speaker 1: couple of years. And right now when we talk about
[20:52] Speaker 1: Christian Watson, no one really brings up the injury stuff
[20:55] Speaker 1: he was.
[20:55] Speaker 3: Not this time last year, he was not being drafted.
[20:58] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I mean I didn't draft Christian Watson at
[21:00] Speaker 1: all in Best Ball last year, right Like, I wasn't
[21:03] Speaker 1: going after him at all. And I can feel fine
[21:05] Speaker 1: with that in hindsight because I had a good Best
[21:06] Speaker 1: Ball season, But yeah, it was not a good call
[21:09] Speaker 1: to not be in on Christian Watson. And you know,
[21:13] Speaker 1: he got it right and hopefully Marshawn Lloyd does too.
[21:16] Speaker 1: I think as a prospect, I didn't you know, if
[21:18] Speaker 1: you guys go back and read the prospect guide from him.
[21:20] Speaker 1: When Marshawn Lloyd came out, I wasn't like super high
[21:24] Speaker 1: on him. He has a good athletic profile, but he
[21:27] Speaker 1: profiled to me more as a complimentary back than like
[21:31] Speaker 1: a full blown bell cow. But I think that's kind
[21:33] Speaker 1: of what Green Bay needs at this point. Josh Jacobs is,
[21:36] Speaker 1: you know, on the similar to like James Connon, not
[21:39] Speaker 1: quite like James Connor because he's younger and he came
[21:42] Speaker 1: in younger too, Jacobs did, but he's not the you
[21:44] Speaker 1: know he could be. We could be seeing a little
[21:47] Speaker 1: bit of wear and tear with Jacobs, and obviously you
[21:48] Speaker 1: have the off the field stuff too. I wouldn't be
[21:51] Speaker 1: shocked that they try to, Like, I think that they've
[21:53] Speaker 1: wanted to have a compliment in this backfield for a minute.
[21:57] Speaker 1: It's just that Lloyd hasn't been able to stay healthy
[22:00] Speaker 1: since they drafted him, and so I'm not gonna be
[22:02] Speaker 1: surprised if he carves out at least some role. You know,
[22:05] Speaker 1: if you want to throw a last round dart in
[22:07] Speaker 1: the season long league, and if you're drafting early just
[22:09] Speaker 1: to see what happens with the Josh Jacobs stuff, I
[22:12] Speaker 1: think it's totally reasonable. If you're playing best ball you
[22:14] Speaker 1: want to draft him in round seventeen to eighteen, you know,
[22:17] Speaker 1: in overrun draftings. Totally reasonable. So yeah, I mean, like,
[22:21] Speaker 1: I think that this is all good news from Marshon Loyd.
[22:24] Speaker 1: And you know, just as a fan of the game,
[22:26] Speaker 1: you want to see these guys be able to find
[22:27] Speaker 1: the field and see what they're all about, as opposed
[22:29] Speaker 1: to just like one injury after another and you're not
[22:32] Speaker 1: really finding out how good they actually are.
[22:35] Speaker 3: Okay, you see on this list, I have moved some
[22:36] Speaker 3: things around, and I've shifted them, and I have I'm
[22:39] Speaker 3: telling you in advance that I am shifting them around.
[22:42] Speaker 3: Let's move on to receiver, and let's talk about the
[22:44] Speaker 3: injury portion for receivers. Let's group these two together. Lake
[22:49] Speaker 3: Neighbors avoids the pup. We don't know about what he's
[22:55] Speaker 3: going to do as far as to start the season,
[22:58] Speaker 3: but Alec Pierce to miss one to two more weeks.
[23:02] Speaker 3: This is a guy that signed a big contract. These
[23:05] Speaker 3: are guys that neighbors starting to climb and peers starting
[23:09] Speaker 3: to fall in drafts.
[23:12] Speaker 1: Yeah, So with Neighbors, I think that it's important to
[23:16] Speaker 1: understand that this does not mean that he is going
[23:18] Speaker 1: to play week one. It means that they probably have
[23:22] Speaker 1: some thought that he might be able to play within
[23:24] Speaker 1: the first handful of weeks. Like that, that's a that's
[23:27] Speaker 1: a possibility, but it's obviously good news, better news than
[23:31] Speaker 1: not for sure. With Neighbors, you know, it sounded like
[23:34] Speaker 1: he had some setbacks with his recovery. There was the
[23:37] Speaker 1: famous videos that came out, you know, whether they were
[23:39] Speaker 1: playing like what were they playing softball in the one
[23:42] Speaker 1: or kickball in the one or something like that, and
[23:45] Speaker 1: he didn't look right. He still had sort of a limp.
[23:48] Speaker 1: It's good that he avoided pop. I'm trying to Now,
[23:51] Speaker 1: I mean I was I was hoping that, not hoping,
[23:54] Speaker 1: but I was playing the game, the game theory game,
[23:58] Speaker 1: you know, with Neighbors and Best Ball, and I was
[24:00] Speaker 1: not really drafting him because I was thinking that his
[24:03] Speaker 1: ADP was gonna fall if he was placed on pupp
[24:04] Speaker 1: and then he wasn't. So it was a bad call
[24:06] Speaker 1: by me. He's rising in my rankings a little bit
[24:08] Speaker 1: as a result of that. I think at this point,
[24:11] Speaker 1: if you're in a season long league, you know, if
[24:15] Speaker 1: he falls to like I don't know, it's hard, it's
[24:19] Speaker 1: hard to really know. But like, if you're in a
[24:21] Speaker 1: the shallower the season long league that you're in, the
[24:24] Speaker 1: managed league that you're in, the easier it's going to
[24:26] Speaker 1: be to take on a player like Neighbors because the
[24:28] Speaker 1: cost to acquire is not going to be as significant.
[24:30] Speaker 1: And what I mean by that is, you know, if
[24:32] Speaker 1: you end up getting if you're in a ten team
[24:33] Speaker 1: league and you get Neighbors in round four or five
[24:36] Speaker 1: or four, let's say, and in round four it's the
[24:38] Speaker 1: top of that really good wide receiver tier that I like,
[24:40] Speaker 1: whether it's Jaylen Wattle, Terry McLaurin, Luther Burden, you know,
[24:44] Speaker 1: Tedoroe McMillan. There's just a lot of good why Garrett Wilson,
[24:47] Speaker 1: there's a lot of good wide receivers in that tier.
[24:49] Speaker 1: Lat McConkey. I think that it's okay in a shallower league,
[24:54] Speaker 1: especially if you have an ir spot to take on
[24:56] Speaker 1: Malik Neighbors, because you're gonna be able to get another
[24:59] Speaker 1: guy in round five and possibly round six from that
[25:01] Speaker 1: tier depending on how things go down. And I know
[25:03] Speaker 1: that it sounds crazy to hear that if you've been
[25:05] Speaker 1: grinding Best Ball drafts. It's just different in season long
[25:08] Speaker 1: if you go look at ADP, So I think it's
[25:10] Speaker 1: going to be easier to do that if you're drafting
[25:12] Speaker 1: right now. I'm anticipating his ADP to probably be more
[25:19] Speaker 1: in that like round three range for you know, if
[25:22] Speaker 1: I were to give like a median outcome for like
[25:24] Speaker 1: the rest of the summer up until the start of
[25:26] Speaker 1: the season. And I don't think he's gonna play Week one,
[25:29] Speaker 1: but I do think that there's a possibility now that
[25:31] Speaker 1: we could see him like week three week four timeframe.
[25:34] Speaker 1: And obviously Melik Neighbors is a top twelve wide receiver
[25:37] Speaker 1: when he's healthy, you know, like, so right now, I
[25:40] Speaker 1: think Neighbors could be drafted around, Like, let's just say
[25:43] Speaker 1: mid round three is a reasonable spot to get Neighbors,
[25:48] Speaker 1: you know, if you're in a deeper league like we
[25:49] Speaker 1: were in the King's Classic this past week, I didn't
[25:51] Speaker 1: just I just didn't want to risk it. I didn't
[25:53] Speaker 1: want to take on Malik Neighbors in a fourteen team
[25:56] Speaker 1: league where you start one quarterback, two running backs, three
[25:58] Speaker 1: wide receivers, three flex spots to the tight end. You know,
[26:00] Speaker 1: it's just if you miss on that pick, it can
[26:04] Speaker 1: really really hurt you. It's not fun to lose out
[26:07] Speaker 1: on like a third round pick in a deep league
[26:12] Speaker 1: like that. So that's where I'm at with Neighbors right now.
[26:16] Speaker 3: All right, Tank Dell is back sort of, Hey, I
[26:19] Speaker 3: should talk about Alix Pierce. I thought you already did. Wow,
[26:24] Speaker 3: I group those two together. We're running kind of late,
[26:26] Speaker 3: so I'm trying to.
[26:27] Speaker 1: Like, we're fine, We're fine. People need my Alec Pierce.
[26:30] Speaker 1: Teak continues to be I am shocked that the market
[26:34] Speaker 1: is not higher on him when I thought I was
[26:37] Speaker 1: going to be lower on Alec Pierce. He is at
[26:40] Speaker 1: a completely reasonable price on most platforms.
[26:42] Speaker 3: Right now, he's still falling and.
[26:44] Speaker 1: He's still following, and I think this is gonna be
[26:46] Speaker 1: a one to two week thing, like they're saying.
[26:48] Speaker 3: Uh.
[26:49] Speaker 1: And so if that's the case, like if if Alec
[26:52] Speaker 1: Pierce is not ready by the start of the season,
[26:54] Speaker 1: that is a huge fumble by the Colts to give
[26:57] Speaker 1: him the contract that they gave him with him not
[26:59] Speaker 1: being ready. And if you want to if you're playing
[27:01] Speaker 1: in multiple leagues and you want to kind of hedge
[27:04] Speaker 1: this a little bit, you can draft Josh Downs. You
[27:05] Speaker 1: can draft Tyler Warren. I think both Tyler Warren and
[27:07] Speaker 1: Josh Downs are pretty good values right now. So if
[27:10] Speaker 1: you want to want to hedge this a little bit,
[27:12] Speaker 1: you can go in the other direction and not just
[27:14] Speaker 1: you know, go in all in with with Alec Pierce.
[27:17] Speaker 1: But I like, if you're getting Alec Peerce is like
[27:19] Speaker 1: your wide receiver four or something in any format, I mean,
[27:24] Speaker 1: it's it's not that bad considering, like we know his
[27:28] Speaker 1: big playability. He's gotten better every year I give him that.
[27:31] Speaker 1: He just hasn't been a high volume getter dating back
[27:33] Speaker 1: to even college. But in this scenario where it's not
[27:37] Speaker 1: like you're paying a fourth or he's not in that
[27:39] Speaker 1: great tier of wide receivers, you know, he's well after that,
[27:42] Speaker 1: and so because of that, I think he's actually kind
[27:44] Speaker 1: of an attractive piece right now. I'm trying not to
[27:47] Speaker 1: be too reactive to some of the injury news, whether
[27:52] Speaker 1: it comes at the end of camp or you know,
[27:54] Speaker 1: it's happening at the beginning of camp here, just because
[27:56] Speaker 1: things can change in an instant and we have to
[27:59] Speaker 1: go by what they're generally saying and also their actions,
[28:02] Speaker 1: which was they gave him a really big contract.
[28:05] Speaker 3: Okay, Tank Dell is back sort of on the sideline
[28:10] Speaker 3: at least, but he is running routes. I don't think
[28:13] Speaker 3: they have him like in full contact stuff just yet,
[28:16] Speaker 3: but they did not put him on the pup. And meanwhile,
[28:21] Speaker 3: Jalen Nole out at least a few weeks because of
[28:26] Speaker 3: a finger injury. Not not great news for him. What's
[28:30] Speaker 3: your take on the wide receivers.
[28:32] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's I mean, it seems minor enough for Jalen Nole,
[28:34] Speaker 1: so I'm not overly concerned. I mean, I think the
[28:37] Speaker 1: bigger concern with Knowl is just that if Tank Dell
[28:39] Speaker 1: is back in healthy, it's gonna limit the time for
[28:42] Speaker 1: Jayden Higgins even in that offense. As long as tank
[28:46] Speaker 1: Dell is healthy, it's good. Like I mean I said
[28:49] Speaker 1: this last week. I think it was with with CJ. Stroud, Like,
[28:53] Speaker 1: don't overstate the splits with and without Tank Dell for CJ. Stroud,
[28:57] Speaker 1: because Stroud was just not nearly as effective in general
[29:00] Speaker 1: after that first year uh in in the in the league.
[29:04] Speaker 1: So it's not really a tank Dell problem. It's just
[29:06] Speaker 1: that that Stroud hasn't been as good as a fantasy asset,
[29:10] Speaker 1: especially even as a pastor. Although I do think, and
[29:12] Speaker 1: I this is something that someone had commented on last week.
[29:16] Speaker 1: I was speaking more about him as a fantasy asset
[29:18] Speaker 1: last week. I do think there are some underlying metrics
[29:20] Speaker 1: where like Stroud isn't as bad as what people probably think.
[29:24] Speaker 1: Like I think Stroud could go through a and and
[29:28] Speaker 1: end up having like a Jared Goff type career, you know,
[29:31] Speaker 1: where super solid. Give him, get him in the right system,
[29:34] Speaker 1: give him the right weapons, and all of a sudden,
[29:36] Speaker 1: like he's not only low ENQB one, high end QB
[29:38] Speaker 1: two fantasy viable, but he's also someone that can be.
[29:41] Speaker 3: A good deliverer, deliverer of the football.
[29:44] Speaker 1: But look, this is a situation for the Texans where
[29:46] Speaker 1: bottom line for them, Man, it's gonna come down to
[29:49] Speaker 1: how how that offensive line looks after last year, after
[29:51] Speaker 1: the last couple of years, and there should be some
[29:53] Speaker 1: improvements there that we're excited about. But that that's what
[29:57] Speaker 1: this is gonna come down to most in terms of
[29:59] Speaker 1: how effective the offense is going to be. We'll see
[30:01] Speaker 1: what happens with Tank del If you want to throw
[30:02] Speaker 1: a last round, Dart, be my guest. I think Jalen
[30:05] Speaker 1: Nole was a good prospect, the fun prospect who could
[30:08] Speaker 1: play the slot. But to me, Nol is someone that
[30:10] Speaker 1: you're gonna probably want to go after, more so in
[30:13] Speaker 1: a best ball environment than a than a managed season long. Okay, uh,
[30:18] Speaker 1: Chris brasel.
[30:21] Speaker 3: It had some knee issues. He was limping, he was
[30:24] Speaker 3: carted off, and then I just saw in the News
[30:28] Speaker 3: and Rumors channel in our late round discord that head
[30:33] Speaker 3: coach Dave Caanala says that he aggravated the same left
[30:36] Speaker 3: knee that he missed that he missed a couple recent
[30:38] Speaker 3: practices for due to soreness. Not great though for the rookie.
[30:43] Speaker 1: Not great. I mean, look, I think Chris Brasel is
[30:45] Speaker 1: the type of player that will end up being better
[30:49] Speaker 1: in real life than in fantasy. He's someone who you know,
[30:53] Speaker 1: like like one of his like looser comps. It was
[30:56] Speaker 1: like a Martavis Bryant type, right, that's like his upside
[30:59] Speaker 1: I think, and what he if you want to envision
[31:01] Speaker 1: what he can do in the NFL. But in today's game,
[31:04] Speaker 1: more teams are playing more too high. We're not seeing
[31:06] Speaker 1: the big plays. And obviously he has Bryce Young a
[31:08] Speaker 1: quarterback right now, it's it's a little bit, you know,
[31:11] Speaker 1: there's some fear that he's just not going to be
[31:13] Speaker 1: that productive, but he can really open things up underneath
[31:16] Speaker 1: for a Jalen Cocher and for a Tetoroa McMillan and
[31:19] Speaker 1: so uh. And you know, it allows some flexibility with
[31:22] Speaker 1: those two weapons, who I think, are you know, awesome
[31:26] Speaker 1: wide receivers.
[31:27] Speaker 3: Uh.
[31:27] Speaker 1: While Brazil can stretch a field play the outside, we
[31:29] Speaker 1: can get a little bit more movement for for McMillan
[31:31] Speaker 1: into the slot and such. And I do think that
[31:34] Speaker 1: brasl has more upside than than like if I look
[31:37] Speaker 1: at them as prospects, Brazil had more upside as a
[31:40] Speaker 1: prospect than Xavier Legett did right. The problem with with
[31:44] Speaker 1: Brasl is he's coming from Tennessee and it's just been
[31:46] Speaker 1: a really hard school to evaluate from historically. And and
[31:50] Speaker 1: you know, we've seen like Jalen hygap Bus, Cedric Tillman
[31:52] Speaker 1: hasn't really done what we would hypothetically want him to
[31:56] Speaker 1: do as a day he was a Day two pick,
[31:58] Speaker 1: and so you know, there's there's definitely volatility there. But
[32:02] Speaker 1: I expect Brazl, if he's healthy, to be able to
[32:05] Speaker 1: outperform Xavier Laguette and take that three job for Carolina.
[32:09] Speaker 1: So fingers crossed that that things are okay, all right.
[32:13] Speaker 3: Booty rocking everywhere. Kashawn Booty has been the standout receiver
[32:20] Speaker 3: of Patriots camp. This is according to multiple Beat riders.
[32:24] Speaker 1: Oh, like everyone is saying it.
[32:25] Speaker 3: Yeah maybe so. I don't think he's starting like in
[32:28] Speaker 3: the three wide receiver sets, but he's coming on. He's
[32:30] Speaker 3: playing the X and he's like he's just making plays.
[32:33] Speaker 3: It's hard to keep a guy like that out.
[32:35] Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, like I've been drafting a lot of
[32:37] Speaker 1: Booty in bastball because I was anticipating a possible trade. Yes,
[32:42] Speaker 1: So I mean, you know, results over process, Right, that's
[32:44] Speaker 1: what we say.
[32:45] Speaker 3: Uh yeah, in our draft yesterday, in the late round
[32:48] Speaker 3: Best Ball Draft, I was gonna get him. I was
[32:50] Speaker 3: gonna plan on getting him. He had taken in the
[32:53] Speaker 3: fourteenth round.
[32:54] Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, I mean he's rising up draft boards. But again,
[32:56] Speaker 1: he is definitely a betteran bastball type player because I
[32:59] Speaker 1: do not think you're going to get very reasonable predictability
[33:03] Speaker 1: from him unless you're in like a deeper format where
[33:06] Speaker 1: you know you don't have to really make start sit decisions.
[33:08] Speaker 1: But you know, if you look at what he's done,
[33:10] Speaker 1: he's been a perimeter receiver so far in the NFL.
[33:12] Speaker 1: I liked him as a prospect because he was an
[33:14] Speaker 1: early declare and he was younger. He still won Day three,
[33:16] Speaker 1: but he had a decent profile. Ahusin profile, we know
[33:19] Speaker 1: that though like he was, he was someone that a
[33:21] Speaker 1: lot of people thought was going to be like highly
[33:23] Speaker 1: highly drafted coming out, and then it just didn't you know,
[33:27] Speaker 1: is his final season wasn't as great as people expected
[33:29] Speaker 1: it to be. And then you know, we've seen him
[33:31] Speaker 1: in the NFL not necessarily live up to the hype,
[33:35] Speaker 1: but every year he's gotten better. His yards per out
[33:37] Speaker 1: run has gotten better every year. You know, his his
[33:41] Speaker 1: targets per out run needs to need some improvement. That
[33:44] Speaker 1: hasn't been that strong. But you're pairing a guy who
[33:46] Speaker 1: can get down the field with a player in Drake
[33:48] Speaker 1: May who can really sling it down the field. That's
[33:51] Speaker 1: where you know we saw magic happen even last year
[33:54] Speaker 1: at times. So you know he's a young player still,
[33:56] Speaker 1: so I'm not surprised that, like, you know, if he
[33:59] Speaker 1: can get it together, betwe in the ears, Uh, it
[34:01] Speaker 1: can come together and practice and then in games. And
[34:03] Speaker 1: I think at this point, just based on these reports,
[34:06] Speaker 1: it's either New England media is all over this trying
[34:09] Speaker 1: to get something in return for Kishon Booty, which I don't.
[34:13] Speaker 3: I don't rule that out. I never almost floated that
[34:15] Speaker 3: as a possibility.
[34:17] Speaker 1: I never I never ever ruled that out. With that
[34:19] Speaker 1: being said, I don't think that's what's happening here because
[34:22] Speaker 1: there is a forward, positive trajectory for Booty career wise,
[34:26] Speaker 1: and you know, I don't think that you can have
[34:28] Speaker 1: too many wide receivers when you're a team like New
[34:30] Speaker 1: England and uh, you know you're you have Super Bowl
[34:33] Speaker 1: aspirations and you can move guys around you know, like
[34:36] Speaker 1: like it gives them a lot more flexibility to do
[34:38] Speaker 1: things in the slot with like a Dobbs.
[34:40] Speaker 2: Uh.
[34:41] Speaker 1: You know it's even Booty can maybe play in the
[34:43] Speaker 1: slot a little bit more. Uh, So it gives them
[34:45] Speaker 1: that flexibility. Obviously they have like pure slot guys like
[34:49] Speaker 1: the Mario Douglas. Maybe Kyle Williams can play in the
[34:52] Speaker 1: slot a little bit more if he gets playing time.
[34:55] Speaker 1: It's not looking good for him, uh, but he's put
[34:57] Speaker 1: one guy getting overall, I think this is just good
[35:01] Speaker 1: news for the New England offense. And he's a better
[35:03] Speaker 1: best ball pick than he is going to be a
[35:05] Speaker 1: managed season Like, he's not going to be a late
[35:06] Speaker 1: round dart throw for me, even if my rankings are
[35:09] Speaker 1: ahead of the market with Booty, it's just it's a
[35:11] Speaker 1: hard sell for a managed season long league in my opinion.
[35:15] Speaker 1: With Kisehan Boody.
[35:17] Speaker 3: All Right, Christian Kirk's sidelined with a calf injury, and
[35:21] Speaker 3: meanwhile Dejean's stribbling shocker. People are heaping praise on him
[35:26] Speaker 3: from the Niners organization, calling him a baller, saying he's
[35:30] Speaker 3: looking a part that sort of thing.
[35:32] Speaker 1: Look, I think that's stribbling they they they view him
[35:34] Speaker 1: as a Juwan Jennings type period like this is he's
[35:37] Speaker 1: a good blocker. I mean, I'm not I've said this
[35:39] Speaker 1: before in a show. I'm not grinding design Stribbling blocking film,
[35:44] Speaker 1: but I do think that they view him in that way.
[35:48] Speaker 1: That doesn't mean that he's gonna be great for fantasy
[35:50] Speaker 1: football necessarily, but he's a player who has good size
[35:53] Speaker 1: and speed, and these types of players generally do show
[35:56] Speaker 1: up this time of year, you know, in these camps,
[35:59] Speaker 1: especially when when it's not a full blown training camp situation.
[36:03] Speaker 1: But with you know, with that being said, I think
[36:05] Speaker 1: Stribling should be on your late round radar because you
[36:09] Speaker 1: have Ricky Piersall who hasn't been able to stay healthy
[36:12] Speaker 1: you know, throughout his career. You have Mike Evans who's
[36:15] Speaker 1: older and has had his own issues, and then you
[36:17] Speaker 1: have George Kittle coming off in Achilles. So yeah, I mean,
[36:20] Speaker 1: like this is an offense we want to invest in.
[36:22] Speaker 1: If Stribling's the wide receiver three right now with multiple
[36:25] Speaker 1: injury outs, he should be rising up draft boards regardless
[36:29] Speaker 1: of I mean, now that we know that Christian Kirk
[36:31] Speaker 1: is in his way, that there's just one less, one
[36:35] Speaker 1: less person in his way to be able to be
[36:37] Speaker 1: fantasy relevant. So yeah, I mean like I didn't love
[36:40] Speaker 1: him as a prospect, obviously the whole market didn't really
[36:43] Speaker 1: love him as a prospect. Doesn't mean that that that's
[36:45] Speaker 1: gonna happen, that it's not gonna come together for him
[36:48] Speaker 1: to be a usable piece in fantasy. So I do
[36:51] Speaker 1: think if you're in the late rounds right now, you
[36:52] Speaker 1: should be looking at him. The problem is in best
[36:54] Speaker 1: ball in particular, like usually managed season long lags behind
[36:57] Speaker 1: best ball.
[36:58] Speaker 3: Best Ball.
[36:58] Speaker 1: He's been going like I saw him in Round three
[37:00] Speaker 1: team yesterday, which I don't know if I.
[37:02] Speaker 3: Can get there, steam things up or they'll drop you
[37:05] Speaker 3: really quick. People are very knee jerk reactionary.
[37:10] Speaker 1: But in a managed season long league, I think that
[37:12] Speaker 1: he's going to be someone to just like throw that
[37:15] Speaker 1: dart at and just see what happens weeks one and two,
[37:17] Speaker 1: and then you can just throw them suddenly the waiver wire.
[37:19] Speaker 3: If it's not happening, especially with deep rosters, Okay, we
[37:23] Speaker 3: got to move on. But just a quick recap, Terry
[37:26] Speaker 3: Kill doesn't have any power in his leg. Brandon ayuk
[37:29] Speaker 3: Is just continues to go off the deep end, and
[37:33] Speaker 3: then we still don't have a landing spot for step
[37:35] Speaker 3: On Diggs, Deebo Samuel or Keenan Allen. So hopefully some
[37:39] Speaker 3: of these teams can figure that out. So with that
[37:42] Speaker 3: being said, let's get on to today's data. Today's data
[37:47] Speaker 3: are very simple.
[37:48] Speaker 1: Yes, go ahead, very simple today, and we can keep
[37:51] Speaker 1: it quick. This is showing you team strength of schedule
[37:56] Speaker 1: by projected wind total or you know, draftings win total
[38:00] Speaker 1: by team. So Arizona is at the top because they
[38:03] Speaker 1: have the hardest schedule in football. Their average opponent has
[38:05] Speaker 1: a win total of nine point one this year. Miami's second.
[38:09] Speaker 1: It's hilarious. Of these terrible teams have horrible schedules. Carolina's third,
[38:13] Speaker 1: and so on and so forth. If you look at
[38:14] Speaker 1: the bottom, Detroit I mentioned this on the show. They
[38:18] Speaker 1: have the easiest schedule in the league. New Orleans is
[38:20] Speaker 1: second easiest. Cleveland, Cincinnati, the Jets, the Ravens, the Eagles
[38:24] Speaker 1: all have pretty easy schedules. So you can just look
[38:28] Speaker 1: at this. You can screenshot this if you want, but
[38:31] Speaker 1: this is just looking at who has easy schedules and
[38:33] Speaker 1: who has hard schedules. And this is all based off
[38:35] Speaker 1: of the schedule analysis stuff that I did on the
[38:37] Speaker 1: podcast that dropped on Tuesday. So if you want to
[38:40] Speaker 1: get like more detailed insights as to how I look
[38:43] Speaker 1: at this kind of thing, I talk about that a
[38:45] Speaker 1: lot on that show and on that episode.
[38:49] Speaker 3: All right, let's get on to today's main events. It's
[38:52] Speaker 3: the late round main event, all right. These are your
[38:58] Speaker 3: favorite picks rounds one through five. I will say I
[39:02] Speaker 3: was a little bit surprised two of these guys also
[39:06] Speaker 3: on last year's Oh were they? Yeah, I'm not gonna
[39:10] Speaker 3: tell you who. You can guess afterwards.
[39:11] Speaker 1: That was probably wrong about both. Uh, all right, I
[39:16] Speaker 1: took these this ADP from Fantasy Pros. Yeah, ADP is
[39:20] Speaker 1: different every set that you look at. So I'm basing
[39:23] Speaker 1: this off of these twelve guys. I'm gonna read them
[39:24] Speaker 1: just so everyone knows, right, And this is in order
[39:27] Speaker 1: jon Robinson, Jamier Gibbs, Jamar Chase Pukinakua And this is
[39:31] Speaker 1: in order Christian McCaffrey, Jackson Smith and Jag But Jonathan Taylor,
[39:34] Speaker 1: Amana Saint Brown, James Cook, Ashton Genty, Ceedee Lamb, and
[39:37] Speaker 1: Justin Jefferson. And my pick, my favorite first round value
[39:42] Speaker 1: is Ashton Genty, I think he belongs in that Jonathan
[39:47] Speaker 1: Taylor James Cooked here. It's hard for me to be
[39:50] Speaker 1: like like, I mean, it's the first round, so I
[39:52] Speaker 1: don't think there's like any glaring values this is. I
[39:54] Speaker 1: think how I have my first round, I might have
[39:57] Speaker 1: uh Saquon in there instead of Justin Jefferson or CD
[40:01] Speaker 1: or something like that. But like it's very close to
[40:03] Speaker 1: how my first round is. I like Jamiir Gibbs more
[40:05] Speaker 1: than Bijon and such. I like Puka ahead of Jamar Chase,
[40:08] Speaker 1: but it's you know, you're splitting hairs there. But with
[40:11] Speaker 1: Ashton Genty, okay. First off Market score loves him. He
[40:15] Speaker 1: has an RB four market score, behind Bijean, Jamiir Gibbs,
[40:19] Speaker 1: and Christian McCaffrey. He also had an Elite Year two
[40:22] Speaker 1: model score of ninety nine point six, which tries to
[40:25] Speaker 1: predict how well a player is going to perform in
[40:27] Speaker 1: years two through four. Guys who are in that tier
[40:30] Speaker 1: almost always give us at least, you know, usually multiple
[40:33] Speaker 1: RB one seasons, but at least one over their next
[40:35] Speaker 1: three seasons. He had an Elite Year one weighted opportunity
[40:39] Speaker 1: When you look at targets and rushes and way targets
[40:42] Speaker 1: properly for how important they are from a fantasy points perspective. Now,
[40:46] Speaker 1: I know that a lot of people will look at
[40:47] Speaker 1: last year and say that he sucks because he had
[40:49] Speaker 1: a three point seven yards per carry average. Keep in mind,
[40:52] Speaker 1: yards per Carrie is not predictive, and he had the
[40:54] Speaker 1: second worst yards before contact per attempt in the NFL,
[40:58] Speaker 1: only Quinn Shawn Judkins lower according to Pro Football Focus.
[41:02] Speaker 1: They also get Tyler Linderbaum and Colton Miller's coming back
[41:06] Speaker 1: from injury, and they get Clint Kubiak, who We're gonna
[41:09] Speaker 1: see a lot of these like outside zone runs. I
[41:11] Speaker 1: think gent can really thrive there. There's been a lot
[41:14] Speaker 1: of research done, Like I know, I remember going on
[41:17] Speaker 1: and talking to James co about this when he was
[41:19] Speaker 1: on Perspectives last year. I think it was last year,
[41:21] Speaker 1: and he was talking about how those like outside runs
[41:23] Speaker 1: just are awesome for fantasy football purposes. I think we're
[41:25] Speaker 1: going to see a lot of them from Ashton genty
[41:28] Speaker 1: this year and since twenty eleven. I think this is
[41:31] Speaker 1: interesting too. I've said this before on the show, but
[41:33] Speaker 1: since twenty eleven, there's only one other rookie running back
[41:36] Speaker 1: who had an eighty percent running back rush air and
[41:38] Speaker 1: a target share as high as Ashton Gent's, and it's
[41:41] Speaker 1: Saquon Barkley. So with there being such little competition in Vegas,
[41:45] Speaker 1: you know, typically I don't want to invest in kind
[41:48] Speaker 1: of like mediocre to bad offenses, especially early. But the
[41:52] Speaker 1: one way you can bat that is through volume, and
[41:54] Speaker 1: I think Gent's going to see a lot of volume
[41:55] Speaker 1: in a good offensive scheme for him. So I'm going
[41:59] Speaker 1: to call out Jentys as a breakout this year and
[42:02] Speaker 1: a guy that I like to target at the tail
[42:04] Speaker 1: end of round one.
[42:06] Speaker 3: I love gen T. I got him in that King's
[42:09] Speaker 3: Plastic Auction draft and I paired him with another running
[42:13] Speaker 3: back who's actually your favorite target in round two? How
[42:16] Speaker 3: good did I do? JJ?
[42:18] Speaker 1: Yeah, Kenneth Walker, I'm just gonna read this and listen
[42:21] Speaker 1: to this list before you start, you know, yeah, criticizing
[42:26] Speaker 1: or thinking about why I'm talking about Walker thirteenth. Overall,
[42:29] Speaker 1: you have Devon a Chan than At Sakwon, Barkley, Chase Brown,
[42:32] Speaker 1: Amari and Hampton, Drake London, Trey McBride, brock Bauers, Kenneth Walker,
[42:37] Speaker 1: Josh Allen, Derrick Henry, AJ Brown, Nico Collins. So as
[42:41] Speaker 1: I go through and do more and more drafts for
[42:44] Speaker 1: season long leagues, I start to like see where I
[42:47] Speaker 1: really stand with certain players, right and one of those
[42:50] Speaker 1: players over the last couple of weeks for me has
[42:52] Speaker 1: been Kenneth Walker. Where I've had him in that tier
[42:54] Speaker 1: with all those running backs throughout the summer, I've just
[42:57] Speaker 1: had him lower in that tier than I do now
[43:00] Speaker 1: this next Like I think that I like, I'm drafting
[43:02] Speaker 1: him over a Marion Hampton, I'm drafting him over Davon Chan,
[43:06] Speaker 1: I'm drafting him over you know, Derek Henry, and then
[43:09] Speaker 1: like the Drake London. The fact that Trey McBride in
[43:12] Speaker 1: this ADP is going ahead of Rock Bauers is silly
[43:14] Speaker 1: to me. But yeah, I mean like him going twentieth overall,
[43:17] Speaker 1: I think he's more of like closer to a one
[43:19] Speaker 1: two turn player. Uh you know he was, Like I said,
[43:23] Speaker 1: I drafted him. I drafted him in the auction this
[43:25] Speaker 1: past weekend, Kansas City was twenty fifth and rushing yards
[43:29] Speaker 1: per game.
[43:29] Speaker 3: Last year.
[43:29] Speaker 1: Brandan Godula pulled this back in the during the offseason,
[43:32] Speaker 1: but they were seventh in EPA per Russian they were
[43:34] Speaker 1: eighth and success rate. Kareem Hunt and Isaiah Pacheco I
[43:38] Speaker 1: talked about this in the Free Agency podcast. They combined
[43:41] Speaker 1: for one twenty plus yard run last year on two
[43:44] Speaker 1: hundred and eighty plus carries. Their rate of gaining ten
[43:47] Speaker 1: or more yards was eight point five percent and six
[43:50] Speaker 1: point one percent. Kenneth Walker was almost at fifteen percent
[43:53] Speaker 1: In terms of gaining more or ten or more yards
[43:56] Speaker 1: per run you get are you're getting a home run
[43:59] Speaker 1: hittering Kenneth Walker combine with a team that is going
[44:03] Speaker 1: to face a lot of too high and it's a
[44:05] Speaker 1: team that generates high success rates because of that. Right,
[44:09] Speaker 1: A huge reason that Kareem Hunt was so high in
[44:11] Speaker 1: success rate last year is because they'll get some of
[44:14] Speaker 1: that push, They'll get the yards that are given to him,
[44:17] Speaker 1: but he can't do much more after that because it's
[44:19] Speaker 1: Kareem Hunt, right, And so Kenneth Walker in that situation
[44:23] Speaker 1: is like next level. There's so much rushing upside in
[44:26] Speaker 1: what he can do. So this really comes down to
[44:28] Speaker 1: what can you do as a pass catcher. I've always
[44:30] Speaker 1: thought that he's been fine as a pass catcher. He's
[44:32] Speaker 1: only had one season where he's been above like that
[44:34] Speaker 1: eight percent mark, which is definitely a problem. Like we
[44:37] Speaker 1: if you're drafting him in the one two turn, you
[44:38] Speaker 1: need that at least like a ten percent target share
[44:41] Speaker 1: from him. But if you look at what they have
[44:43] Speaker 1: in the backfield, I love them at Johnson as a prospect,
[44:47] Speaker 1: but traditionally rookie running backs do not see high target shares.
[44:50] Speaker 1: I learned my lesson last year with Traveon Henderson, and
[44:54] Speaker 1: so I don't want to get too too bullish on that.
[44:56] Speaker 1: And then you're looking at like Amari dear Mercado as
[44:59] Speaker 1: the third down back. I think it's fine if he
[45:02] Speaker 1: plays a third down role, or even if Emma Johnson does,
[45:06] Speaker 1: but I don't think that just means that there's no
[45:08] Speaker 1: Kenneth Walker love from a receiving perspective. So you bring
[45:12] Speaker 1: all that together. Patrick Mahomes coming off this acl where
[45:15] Speaker 1: he's probably not going to be getting much goal line rushing.
[45:19] Speaker 1: I mean, it's not like they run sneaks with him anyway.
[45:21] Speaker 1: But all of that combine makes me just really like
[45:23] Speaker 1: Kenneth Walker in this profile. And I feel like every
[45:27] Speaker 1: day that I think about this mor and I research
[45:28] Speaker 1: it and just go go through things more. I'm moving
[45:32] Speaker 1: Kenneth Walker up my ranks.
[45:35] Speaker 3: All right, So round three, you've got DeVonta Smith.
[45:41] Speaker 1: Yes, so DeVante Smith. I think this was a call.
[45:44] Speaker 1: I probably had him last year. Is that one of
[45:46] Speaker 1: the Yeah, not great, not great, bob uh, But Davante
[45:51] Speaker 1: Smith his splits without AJ Brown. Obviously you have Mackay
[45:54] Speaker 1: Lemon there now Eli Stowers. I don't know how big
[45:56] Speaker 1: of a threat he's going to be year one, but
[45:59] Speaker 1: in career year games without AJ Brown he now, mind you,
[46:02] Speaker 1: DeVante Smith played his rookie year without Brown and then
[46:04] Speaker 1: Brown entered the Fold for four games. He was out
[46:08] Speaker 1: when he got to Philadelphia. With Devonte Smith acted, he
[46:11] Speaker 1: is a twenty five point six percent target share in
[46:13] Speaker 1: his career without AJ Brown. He's played four games without
[46:17] Speaker 1: him since twenty twenty two, thirty five percent target share
[46:20] Speaker 1: in those four games, which is pretty wild. Ninety seven
[46:22] Speaker 1: yards per game without AJ Brown in those four games,
[46:25] Speaker 1: thirty two percent targets per out run rate, all crazy.
[46:29] Speaker 1: I mean, those are that's literally like jsnesque usage.
[46:33] Speaker 3: Right.
[46:33] Speaker 1: I'm not saying that that's what's gonna happen now, because
[46:37] Speaker 1: you do have still like McKay lemon, Dontavian Wicks. But
[46:41] Speaker 1: with that being said, like it does give us a
[46:43] Speaker 1: sample of Devonte Smith being an alpha for an NFL offense, right,
[46:48] Speaker 1: even if it's a small sample. There's a new offensive
[46:51] Speaker 1: coordinator in Philadelphia. I mean, I've I've beaten this, this
[46:55] Speaker 1: dead horse at this point with Kevin Patulo and how awful.
[46:58] Speaker 1: Just go look at the out charts for AJ Brown
[47:01] Speaker 1: last year. You know, there was a tweet yesterday where
[47:05] Speaker 1: AJ Brown and Drake May couldn't connect on like a
[47:07] Speaker 1: crosser that AJ Brown was running, and everyone's like, oh man,
[47:11] Speaker 1: this is this is bad. This is I'm like, wait,
[47:13] Speaker 1: they're running, they're running crossers with AJ Brown like he's
[47:15] Speaker 1: gonna he's gonna hit the middle of the field. You mean, like,
[47:18] Speaker 1: this is amazing. That's why I'm more bolish about this clip,
[47:22] Speaker 1: even though they didn't connect on the pass. But Devontae
[47:24] Speaker 1: Smith has had a floor too. He's hit fourteen or
[47:26] Speaker 1: more points per game in three of his five seasons.
[47:29] Speaker 1: The only two seasons where he didn't. One was his
[47:31] Speaker 1: rookie year where guys just don't score them many points
[47:34] Speaker 1: per game across the entire season. The other one was
[47:36] Speaker 1: the Patula season was last year. So I'm in a
[47:39] Speaker 1: Devonte Smith. I like him in this range. I should
[47:41] Speaker 1: read this range though, too. I didn't do that. Jeremiah
[47:44] Speaker 1: Love twenty fifth overall. Then George Pickens, Josh Jacobs, Chris
[47:48] Speaker 1: olave Kian Williams, Rashi, Rice, Javonte Williams, Breese Hall, Devonte Smith,
[47:52] Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson, camp Skataboo, Tetero McMillan. It's funny because there's
[47:56] Speaker 1: some guys in the fourth round that I would draft
[47:58] Speaker 1: over some of these guys in the third round. It
[48:00] Speaker 1: does show there's a very real flatness that starts to
[48:03] Speaker 1: occur once you hit the middle of round three, which
[48:05] Speaker 1: traditionally and historically that's what we've seen with hit rates
[48:08] Speaker 1: in fantasy football too.
[48:10] Speaker 3: All right, round four, I'll read him off for you.
[48:13] Speaker 3: My league neighbors, Travis etn T. Higgins, Say Flowers, Garrett Wilson,
[48:18] Speaker 3: Colson Lovelin, a Mecca, Agbuka, Bucky Irving, Lad McConkie Quinchawn Judkins,
[48:23] Speaker 3: Trayvon Henderson, and Luther Burden. Yeah.
[48:27] Speaker 1: I thought about going Burden here. I'll be honest, you
[48:29] Speaker 1: might you know, I love Luther Burden. I am on
[48:32] Speaker 1: that side. I sent a tweet out earlier this week
[48:34] Speaker 1: where it was something along the lines of like, you know,
[48:37] Speaker 1: if you think that Burden's bad at cost this year
[48:40] Speaker 1: and he's a bad pick, you're not wrong. But if
[48:42] Speaker 1: you think that he's a great pick, you're also not wrong.
[48:44] Speaker 1: And then people were accusing me of fence sitting. I'm like, bro,
[48:47] Speaker 1: if you listen to the podcast, if you listen to
[48:49] Speaker 1: me the last year and a half, you know that
[48:51] Speaker 1: I don't fence it with Luther Burton. I am in
[48:53] Speaker 1: on Luther Burton. I think he's a very very good player.
[48:55] Speaker 1: With that being said, I'm gonna go a Mecca Buka
[48:58] Speaker 1: here because I think he's just be going higher, whereas
[49:01] Speaker 1: I understand the bear case more for Luther Burden, a
[49:04] Speaker 1: Mecha Buka. I talked about this on last week's market
[49:08] Speaker 1: Score Projection show. He has insane market score comps. He's
[49:12] Speaker 1: a top five wide receiver when you project via those comps,
[49:16] Speaker 1: not by market score. He's not bad in market score,
[49:18] Speaker 1: but when you look at the comps, it's just good
[49:20] Speaker 1: comp after good comp. And that makes me feel more
[49:23] Speaker 1: confident in Abuka himself. Last year, it was a story
[49:27] Speaker 1: of the first five weeks. He was dominating, he was
[49:29] Speaker 1: converting all these deep passes, he was doing everything, and
[49:32] Speaker 1: then he got hurt and Baker got hurt. And if
[49:36] Speaker 1: you're watching Netflix's Quarterback right now, you can see how
[49:39] Speaker 1: bad Baker's injuries were. And they talk about this whole
[49:42] Speaker 1: dynamic throughout that show. But week one to five, a
[49:45] Speaker 1: mecha Buka led the NFL with two hundred and ninety
[49:48] Speaker 1: one twenty plus air yard throw receiving yards on on
[49:52] Speaker 1: those twenty plus aeryard throws, he had ninety one from
[49:55] Speaker 1: then on out. I mean, it was just night and
[49:57] Speaker 1: day with the Buka bring to a hundredth out of
[50:00] Speaker 1: one hundred and three in catchable targets rates among qualified
[50:04] Speaker 1: wide receivers after week five. But now you're looking at
[50:07] Speaker 1: a situation Zach Robinson comes to town. They've already talked
[50:10] Speaker 1: about Abuka playing that Z role. I think a lot
[50:14] Speaker 1: of people, you know, look at like Godwin playing the
[50:17] Speaker 1: slot and they're like, oh man slot role with Zach Robinson.
[50:20] Speaker 1: That's when Cooper Cup dominated. But Cooper Cup played more
[50:23] Speaker 1: of a Z where he's moving inside out. He's not
[50:26] Speaker 1: he's not a pure slot when he had that monster,
[50:28] Speaker 1: monster season, and so I think that they could deploy
[50:32] Speaker 1: Abuka in a very similar way. Don't forget when he
[50:34] Speaker 1: came out last year, a lot of people thought Abuka
[50:37] Speaker 1: was a pure slot. You know, you can go back
[50:39] Speaker 1: and read the Prospect Guide from last year where I
[50:42] Speaker 1: talked about how, you know, I thought he was more
[50:44] Speaker 1: than that. The Zach model thought he was more than that.
[50:47] Speaker 1: That was a very common thought about Hi Mecca a Buka.
[50:49] Speaker 1: And that's interestingly enough, one of his comps was Robert Woods,
[50:53] Speaker 1: who Zach Robinson would have coached, you know, back back
[50:56] Speaker 1: in the day. But I think Abuka could work really
[50:59] Speaker 1: well in an inside out role in this Tampa Bay offense,
[51:02] Speaker 1: and if everyone's healthy, he could really have a monster season.
[51:07] Speaker 3: Yeah, some are comparing kind of what happened in Seattle
[51:10] Speaker 3: last year after DK Metcalf left, Jason stepped up into
[51:15] Speaker 3: that role, and now you have Mike Evans leaving and
[51:18] Speaker 3: you haven't mecay Buka right to just step into that role.
[51:22] Speaker 3: And we did his comment saying, yeah, I was at
[51:24] Speaker 3: Buka going much higher. Again, this is not best ball,
[51:29] Speaker 3: this is just redraft ADP.
[51:33] Speaker 1: Everyone's everyone's per it's very frustrating as a fantasy analyst.
[51:36] Speaker 1: Everyone's perception of ADP is so different, and it's based
[51:42] Speaker 1: on what you're just generally playing, like what platform you're
[51:45] Speaker 1: generally playing on. And so that's why in the draft guide,
[51:48] Speaker 1: I'm very specific about where this guy's a value. I'm
[51:52] Speaker 1: looking at Yahoo and ESPN mostly as like the two platforms,
[51:55] Speaker 1: because Sleeper at one point was very much being swayed
[51:59] Speaker 1: by Dynasty Value and it was kind of skewing things
[52:01] Speaker 1: like r. J. Harvey was like a fifth round pick,
[52:03] Speaker 1: and it's really hard to you know, like talk about
[52:06] Speaker 1: that and buy into that as a realistic ADP. But
[52:10] Speaker 1: I am leaning into like you know, CBS even and
[52:13] Speaker 1: such and trying to get like a good real feel
[52:16] Speaker 1: of the aggregate because people are best ball brained right now.
[52:20] Speaker 1: I get it. I am too. I get it, Like
[52:22] Speaker 1: I'm not No.
[52:22] Speaker 3: One's magazines out that were published last month right with
[52:28] Speaker 3: rankings that are static, you know.
[52:29] Speaker 1: So I'm trying to be very like deliberate in how
[52:32] Speaker 1: I'm talking about these like targets and avoids and stuff,
[52:34] Speaker 1: and the same thing. That's why I'm showing these ADP
[52:38] Speaker 1: this ADP list that you guys know why I'm coming
[52:40] Speaker 1: to the conclusion that I'm coming So was a Buka
[52:43] Speaker 1: one of the guys last year on this list?
[52:45] Speaker 3: No, it was actually Kenth Walker, Oh was it? Well?
[52:49] Speaker 1: I really screwed up this list last year then, but.
[52:51] Speaker 3: The other three were good. Get I forget who the
[52:56] Speaker 3: other was. All right, who are you to know that
[52:58] Speaker 3: the Eagles offense is going to be terrible?
[53:01] Speaker 1: I know the Eagles did screw me last year, that's
[53:03] Speaker 1: for sure. I had a great season though, So again,
[53:05] Speaker 1: it's one of those things where I can look back
[53:06] Speaker 1: and be like, yeah, they got me, instead of having
[53:09] Speaker 1: to like feel bad about getting that miss getting that l.
[53:13] Speaker 3: Okay, Jalen Wattle, Drake May, DJ Moore, Joe Burrow, David Montgomery,
[53:18] Speaker 3: Tyler Warren, Terry McLaurin, DeAndre Swift, DeVante Adams, All Roads,
[53:23] Speaker 3: Base Shall, Tuton, Jamison Williams, and Jayden Daniels for Round five.
[53:28] Speaker 1: Yeah. Look, I like a lot of guys in this
[53:29] Speaker 1: round two. You know, I wouldn't be taking a quarterback
[53:31] Speaker 1: this early, but I think Tyler Warren's a fun pick
[53:35] Speaker 1: this year, maybe not as early. Terry McLaurin was one
[53:38] Speaker 1: that I almost put as the best value here. I
[53:41] Speaker 1: think that you could easily make that argument. I don't
[53:43] Speaker 1: mind DeAndre Swift this year. I obviously like base Shall Tuton,
[53:47] Speaker 1: DeVante Adams is fine, JMO's fine, But I'm going Jalen
[53:52] Speaker 1: Wattle as my pick at the top of round five.
[53:55] Speaker 1: This is an ambiguous pass catching environment, which is usually
[53:58] Speaker 1: a good thing for wide receivers, where you know you
[54:01] Speaker 1: have Courtland Sutton who's going to play the X, and
[54:03] Speaker 1: you have Jalen Waddle, who you know, like a Mechabuka
[54:06] Speaker 1: will play more of a zerole. Denver's averaging thirty three
[54:09] Speaker 1: and a half past tens per game over their last
[54:11] Speaker 1: two seasons. That's an above average numbers, so you should
[54:13] Speaker 1: get some passing volume in this offense. They ranked ninth
[54:16] Speaker 1: and twelfth in wide receiver target share over the last
[54:19] Speaker 1: two seasons. These are bo nix seasons. Wattle has been
[54:22] Speaker 1: and I said this at the Fantasy Xpo because I
[54:25] Speaker 1: was on a panel and one of the first questions
[54:27] Speaker 1: was just a player that we're targeting this year. I
[54:29] Speaker 1: just decided to go with Waddle. It's not like I
[54:31] Speaker 1: have you know, I mean, I think that I could
[54:33] Speaker 1: consider him my favorite value because I think the upside's
[54:36] Speaker 1: pretty crazy. So we'll see. But what I said on stage,
[54:41] Speaker 1: I'm saying right here is that he's been in two
[54:43] Speaker 1: offenses in his career where there his offense has had
[54:46] Speaker 1: a positive EPA per play. In those two seasons, he
[54:50] Speaker 1: had a two point five to nine and a two
[54:52] Speaker 1: point six y three yards per route run rate, which
[54:55] Speaker 1: is absolutely bonkers. Those are insanely good. Those are like
[54:58] Speaker 1: prime justin Jefferson type numbers. Right now, you get to Denver,
[55:03] Speaker 1: like I said, Sutton plays the X. We saw last
[55:05] Speaker 1: year Troy Franklin played the zero at times, and there
[55:08] Speaker 1: was a stretch I talked to Harmon about this at
[55:10] Speaker 1: the expo. There was a stretch where we were getting,
[55:14] Speaker 1: you know, like like hit up by all these people
[55:16] Speaker 1: saying that Troy Franklin is the wide receiver one in Denver.
[55:19] Speaker 1: And it was true, like he was getting that kind
[55:22] Speaker 1: of volume. He was an ad for me on fifty
[55:23] Speaker 1: transactions all that kind of stuff. But that being said,
[55:26] Speaker 1: like I think they realized, hey, Troy Franklin's not it
[55:29] Speaker 1: right because you know, he doesn't do well off of press.
[55:32] Speaker 1: He's not big enough to do well blocking. And so
[55:36] Speaker 1: I think that's why they spent the capitol that they
[55:38] Speaker 1: spent to get Jalen Wattle this offseason. So he's been
[55:42] Speaker 1: efficient throughout his career. He's now in a really good offense,
[55:45] Speaker 1: one of the better offenses in football, more than likely
[55:48] Speaker 1: should see a strong target share. I think Jalen Wattle
[55:51] Speaker 1: is a very very strong pick this year, especially if
[55:53] Speaker 1: you're getting him in round five.
[55:55] Speaker 3: All right, let's wrap this up, JJ. All Right, as
[56:04] Speaker 3: a reminder, like subscribe, comment on these videos, you get

[56:44] Speaker 3: JJ is getting blamed for your misspelled mistake. So frustrating.
[56:48] Speaker 3: It is no wonder he couldn't follow, and you don't
[56:50] Speaker 3: even know what a micro sect me sometimes described as
[56:52] Speaker 3: a minimally invasive spine surgery because it requires only a
[56:55] Speaker 3: small incision and the use of microscope or surgical glass.
[56:59] Speaker 3: The surgeon also used. Anyways, is sincerely disappointed. So soone
[57:06] Speaker 3: took the time to write that email.
[57:08] Speaker 1: My favorite part is that there's clearly a copy paste
[57:11] Speaker 1: job with my curtisectamy. We can see the links and stuff.
[57:14] Speaker 1: It's very good, very very good email.
[57:17] Speaker 3: The person that wrote this email is the same person
